Fantasy couples that give Elriel vibes Part 2:

Alice and Jasper - The Twilight Saga (2008-2012)

A couple that I don’t think I need to embellish too much on, so I will simply state that they are the poster “sunshine-weird-girl” and “tortured-broody-boy” combination. Jasper and Alice also scream “LIGHT and DARK” vibes which we all know is a core of theme for Elriel.

Elain - Alice:

Both possess the primary Seer ability = foresight/precognition

Both are very sweet, kind and gentle but also possess a strangeness due to their unique abilities (can be perceived by others as madness).

Azriel - Jasper:

Both are haunted by their violent pasts and upbringings and both possess permanent scarring because of this.

Both Azriel and Jasper have killed or tortured people as their main occupation; the only difference being Jasper was manipulated into doing this by his former lover; whereas Azriel continues to do this under the orders of his High Lord (important side note: Azriel DOES NOT KILL OR TORTURE INNOCENT PEOPLE especially children!!!!)

Both have “failed” former romantic relations although for very different reasons- Jasper’s being that it was all manipulation and no love and Azriel’s being unrequited love (side note: no hate or blame for Mor here at all! it is what it is, just sad that she can’t feel like she can be honest with him)

Another big reason why I love this couple comparison is because Alice and Jasper do not follow the “enemies to lovers” trope and we know that Elriel do not either (thank God).

I want to say there is a “love-at-first-sight” trope with both but I know that people may get the ick with that. However I will confidently say that both couples have instant connection and attraction and what I love most of all is the soft reverence and devotion that is displayed through their interactions (It is so refreshing to see this in the SJM world and I pray we see more of that in Elriel book).

In court for Prince Harry’s bid to overturn Home Office decision not to pay for security. Case seems to be:

- decision by RAVEC makes ‘no sense’ and beyond its remit - should be made by the Met Police Commissioner - Not given opportunity for Harry to make representations to RAVEC

Shaheed Fatima, representing Harry, told the court about refusal to pay for security: “There was no willingness in RAVEC to entertain any exceptions to the policy or listen to representations. We are not even getting out foot through the door. There is no willingness to listen.” Matt Wilkinson RAVEC previously rejected Harry’s offer to pay for armed security. It it’s skeleton argument, the Home Office state: “RAVEC unanimously decided that an individual should not be permitted to privately fund their Protective Security provided by the MPS”

Justice Chamberlain suggests Harry is “seeking completely different type of policing service, protective security officer who goes with principal wherever they go” compares it to “wealthy neighbourhood” paying for private police patrols. Ms Fatima says there is no “legal clarity”

Sooo, dear Tumblr, hear me out. I think my boss is trying to sugar mommy me (?)

Lemme present my evidence:

-She mentioned multiple times how her husband is now living in their summer home five hours of driving away and she's been living all alone.

- Our customers often bring her presents (mainly food) and we'd usually split them, but lately she's giving them all to me "so you'll think of me while you enjoy it."

- Last week she had an issue with her car, so I chauffeured her around for a day and she kept telling me that she'll "have to invite me for lunch at her place to thank me properly".

- And, cherry on the top, today she kinda brought me grocery shopping with her? Like we had to go someplace together for work and she was like "Oh, I need to drop by the supermarket real quick." And so I found myself there carrying her grocery bags and helping her to find baking powder like a Very Good Kid™ because I am a courteous human being, and the cashier is giving us a weird look (because he knows she's my boss) and my boss is like "If they keep being so nice to me, I'll have to keep *Name* as my assistant outside of work as well...I'm already addicted to their help."

So yeah. That is what happened Your Honor.
