I had a lot of questions about this specific method because, at first, and with a little bit of fear, I thought that there was something to do with the backroom and entering the real void. (Been there, done that, that shit is scary af; if you want an explanation, let me know and I will do a saparate post.) I started to read some success stories and decided to dive into this research, and I am grateful that I did because this method is *chef kiss* GENIUS.
I asked myself three important questions before I started to re-search, so I could actually answer them here:
What is the void state?
The void state is nothing more than a pure meditation state where we put all our concentration into our consciousness. is the part where no walls or restrictions come in the way of our manifestations.
How it works?
It is said that entering the void state is simple; you just have to find the keyhole, and for the keyhole, it is intended to be a state of pure meditation and relaxation while staying aware of your surroundings. Methods like the Raven method can be useful to enter this state because they lead you to a meditation state. Some say that "turning off" the left side (the logic side) of the brain can help you achieve this deep relaxation while becoming aware. Once we find our way to the void state, all we have to do is affirm or say what we want, like we already have it.
Is it dangerous?
Nope, it is totally safe and can even help you if you are feeling extremely overwhelmed or stressed.
If some of you know more information about this particular method, I will love to know more! And as always, if you have any questions, I will be here to help!
Had a dream I went to go see a publicity stunt movie, which was about… I want to say, like, animal farm or something— some grim thing, involving animals— except the movie was about forcing a real life pig, strapped to a movie theatre chair, to watch. Except the big twist at the end was the camera panning around to reveal… it was a fake pig all along. Unsure what the goal was.
I knew the twist going in, but I am as much unable to stop where my dreams are going as I am able to redirect a river with my bare hands, so into the theatre I went. The specific promotional stunt my dream theatre was doing was that the fake pig? In the theatre with you. Whooaaaaa. I got a seat pretty close to the animals— and the choice to switch from ‘pig’ to ‘animal’ is intentional, here, because I don’t remember what they were but they sure as hell wasn’t pigs
There was a baby… whatever it was, on the ground in front of the screen, and it’s mother was the one strapped to a chair. I remember spending most of the film staring at the mother & thinking ‘damn… that fake animal sure as hell looks real. I can see it blinking. Wow. Hang on,’ bc the fake animal was supposed to have button eyes
Now, I’m pretty sure in real life I would in fact be able to tell that it was a real animal like wayyyy faster, but again, dreams, rivers.
Anyway me forcing the realization that the animals were real made the dream start falling apart. Got lost in some long ass dark hallways. A theatre employee accosted me. Wound up back in the theatre & chose to free the baby. Was looking for a key to free the mother when I got trapped in the lobby which was also a veterinary office and my mother was there and trying to get me to run a class on animal welfare.
I don’t know why I’m turning this into a tumblr post. It was visceral though. I can still see the mother’s eye.
guys if in the future it turns out the tiktok girlies aren't crazy and shifting is real the first thing I'm going to do is shift to supernatural and. honestly I was thinking about something funny to say but. the first I'd do would be look at sam's eyes up close. and hold his hand. and hug him tight and breathe him in... oh :( now I'm sad :( bye post cancelled
younger Eddie being excited to go to sleep because he unintentionally figured out lucid dreaming so he could plan entire dnd campaigns and feel like he was creating his own fantasy world
Sometimes he’d just go to the shire and hang out with his favourite characters, watching Gandalf’s fireworks, eating with the hobbit and hearing stories from Aragorn and Boromir while being infatuated by Legolas and Gimli’s interactions with each other
"Man I need to go to dog sleep" <- sleep while curled up in an uncomfortable ball but also I am cuddling with a plushie but also I may have fallen asleep to an asmr video of petting and being given positive affirmations
Not to be confused with "Man I need to go to Sleep Dog", which is what I say when planning my visit to the Almighty Canine of Restfulness, praise be.
in my dreams im always trying to induce situations where i can read something but it's always a limestone wall (or a bright sunny outside near a wall that covers the main steet from the cul de sac) when it works---little engravings in a stone wall. when staring directly at it, they take the character of glyphs and "mean" something, my brain reads them, regardless of if it matches, but any time my eyes shift or the current state of my train of thought moves, the glyphs change.
This does not wake me up or reassure me or help me change anything about the dreams, i just think about how the glyphs just changed.
if i want to wake up from a terrifying dream, i have to really forcefully try to open my eyelids by opening them so hard that i jolt awake.
the reading thing doesnt wake me up and i never choose to do it, its just a part of the intense paranoia while sleeping that motivates it and is not eased at all by the reading itself. even though im only motivated to read things "to prove" that i can't when i'm sleeping.
A few nights ago i dreamt I learned to play body terror song by ajj on the guitar so today ive taken my guitar down from the attic where its been for the past 11 years and im making that dream a reality
