(kind of like a one shot)

Harry gave Teddy the perfect gift for his seventeenth birthday.

It was a big party, it hadn't always been like that, but now that Teddy was older he had much more friends than when he was a kid.

Harry was not a fan of big parties, and so he was a little retreated leaning on the wall of the opposite side of the big living room while Teddy was opening gifts.

When everyone was applauding at the last gift, Teddy found Harry's eyes in the crowd, Harry smiled at him briefly before heading out the door.

Teddy followed him, he knew what that meant, he had noticed that his father's gift wasn't among the ones he opened.

Harry was smoking.

"You know mom's gonna go right for your throat if she sees you"

"Let her" his father said with a chuckle "here" he handed Teddy what he first thought was just a crumbled up piece of paper.

Brown paper crumbled up and tied with sisal fiber, not even a card. He laughed a little.

"Y'know you're the richest man in the world, I think you could've gone a little bigger"

"Just say thank you, you little shit" he joked pushing Teddy from the back of his head, making him laugh.

"Thank you" he was thankful, even if he didn't know what the hell the crumbled piece of paper could be.

"You better be, it costed me a fortune"

"This thing?" he mocked.

"Yeah" his father's words turned into a laugh, then a cough "not the money kind"

Teddy inhaled as he understood what he meant. His father had probably retrieved it from one of his crazy missions as an auror. He probably risked his life for it, whatever he held in his hands, it was probably paid with blood. Suddenly, he felt the need to stop touching it.

With shaky hands, he broke the cheap paper. He recognized immediately what was inside. He didn't even have to look at the label around the glass little bottle, he already knew what it read.

He felt his eyes get teary.

"I..." he has to clear his voice "don't you want to use it yourself?"

Harry shook his head as he threw the cigarette end on the sidewalk. "what for? I'm sure you'll benefit more from it than me"

He opened his mouth to say "thank you" but instead, he locked his arms around a very surprised Harry Potter, who took only a second before hugging back.

The next day they drove to the cementery, Harry stayed in the car.

"You're not coming?"

His father shook his head "all yours"

He walked slowly. How else would you walk in a cementery? the place inspired respect. When you breathed, you smelled tears but when you let all the air out, you could feel an aftertaste of peace.

Finally he got to the graves he was looking for. He opened the bottle and threw the magic ale slowly on both of them. Finally, he closed his eyes and waited.

"Hello son"

He opened his eyes, breathing shakily. They both looked young and beautiful. His mother's hair was pink, his father's scars shined like silver.

"It's so nice to meet you, honey"

teddy and victoire headcanons because they are such an ‘it’ couple to me:

fairytale sort of love

like teddy would transfigure themselves to look like a prince when they were super young because then vic would get upset at him because how could they be a prince whilst she couldn’t be a princess? and then teddy would just say ‘but you’re already a princess vic’ and yeah. literal disney-like childhood friends to lovers

when teddy went away to hogwarts for the first time victoire was absolutely distraught, and even more so when she found out out he’d been sorted into hufflepuff because she was convinced she would be in gryffindor since she’s a weasley (surprise! she wasn’t!) and got immense separation anxiety

so everyone knew they would get together and that it was only a matter of time, and fleur, being the romanticist she was, was obsessed with teddy.

like if victoire brought any other person back home fleur would be polite but there was always that hint of coldness towards them because why aren’t they the golden-hearted punk enby vic’s been so clearly in love with since she could process what love was????

teddy and fleur are like that rough, has a cracked tooth, part time tattoo artist who constantly smells like nicotine and the pristine middle aged french woman who has casually acheived milestone successes in her youth and always has her hair and makeup done pair and they just binge watch sad, terribly-written romance films together because they are both extremely sensitive and LOVE cliches

also they do each others makeup and victoire gets very sheepish about it sometimes

victoire and teddy were both heartthrobs at school and they had major game, so they didn’t have much trouble getting partners. suprisingly enough they were never that toxic ‘seething-with-envy’ pair of friends. they were actually quite supportive of one another, if not confused at why they got sad sometimes when seeing the other with someone else

james will claim he found out first that vic and teddy were in a relationship, but it was actually dominique, who is leagues better at keeping secrets.

victoire is high strung perfectionist and teddy is a concentrated chaotic mess, but instead of it being a peeve to each other, they simply balance each other out

teddy used to have dreams of victoire leading up to the moment they realised they were in love with her, and sometimes would wake up morphed as her and become incredibly confused (having gender identity issues was not helping their situation)

teddy gets victoire into philosophy, victoire gets teddy into curation. no one ever thought they’d see the day where either things were possible

victoire has an incredibly grumpy designer persian cat called Camille and she only has a soft spot for her and teddy

after a really long and stressful day at work (victoire’s a sub manager in st mungos), teddy will take down vic’s ponytail, and gently brush her hair out as she relaxes on the couch.

teddy is just overall being great spouse material, i could go on about this point by i would have to make a seperate post

its the tattooed blue-haired bruised-knuckles punk x preppy pastelle pink 2000s fem aesthetic couple

its staying up in your room painting your nails or flipping through an old magazine with your cracked phone crammed between your face and shoulder at night as you slowly fall in love with your lifelong best friend over the phone, and you don’t even know it, because this had been going on for years.

teddy fell first, victoire fell harder

this is a couple that wears big chunky platforms and sleek shiny heeled shoes ONLY

teddy is a huge flirter whilst victoire tends to get flustered more easily, but their dynamic switches when it comes down to each other, making victoire the flirty one and teddy the shy one

victoire’s love language is acts of service, teddy’s is all five because he’s perfect (words of affirmation mighttt just top however)

hello! this isn't really a remadora question, but do you have any headcanons about andromeda and ted (from the moment they met to the moment ted died and maybe even after that)?

OH HOT DAMN. I AM SO EXCITED SOMEONE ASKED THIS!!!!

So I am in the process of planning and outlining my Andromeda fic. I've tentatively titled "Andromeda's Sacrifices," and I want to begin posting it in the late fall/early winter. It's going to be canon-compliant, beginning with her 11th birthday and ending in 1981, when the first war is over.

Let me tell you some ideas I have - headcanons, basically - that are going to make it into the fic. I have a list of Black sisters headcanons that tie into this.

Andromeda is a blood purist from the start. She refuses to even talk to Ted because he's Muggleborn.

The first time Andromeda questions blood purity is when Ted consistently does better than she does in potions. Ted gets an invite to the Slug Club - Andromeda doesn't.

Andromeda goes through a lot of ups and downs as a middle child. She's constantly trying to be noticed. When she's made a prefect, Bellatrix is made Head Girl, so the accomplishment is overshadowed.

Ted, as an only child, has a very different experience. His parents are loving, affectionate, and so proud of him. They're from a thoroughly middle class family.

However, Andromeda and Ted are made prefects at the same time and it's the first time she's forced to interact with him.

She's been low-key fancying him for a little while by then, because in my head, he's actually a Ravenclaw, not a Hufflepuff.* As a Ravenclaw, he always does super well in classes, and it's both irritating to her because she's a blood purist, but also admirable, because he's talented.

It doesn't hurt that as Ted grows up, he loses some of his baby fat and gets pretty handsome, and Andromeda fights with herself a LOT on finding him attractive.

Ted, meanwhile, has always found Andromeda to be very pretty, but haughty and proud. He's intimidated by her and has been warned against interacting with her over blood status.

I have Ted and Andromeda bond over a potions incident in which she accidentally hurts him (she's mad at him for something, you'll see in the fic if you read it). But they patch things up and become better friends.

They start dating at the end of their fifth year, in secret. It's not an easy relationship because of Andromeda's family.

Ted doesn't like the dating in secret business. He worries for Andromeda, but is hurt that she's too embarrassed/ashamed of him that she won't be public about their relationship.

Andromeda runs away with Ted a few months after they finish their schooling. It's partly fueled by Andromeda just being done with her family. She realizes she's never going to make them proud of her, because she's always going to be overshadowed by her sisters.

Andromeda and Ted elope. They get pregnant right away and nine months later, Nymphadora is born :)

Andromeda and Ted's relationship to me is a lot like what it would be if a rich girl married a poor boy. She's got a LOT of culture shock when she spends time with Ted's family. She's confused and awkward around all the Muggle contraptions and Muggle culture. She goes through a lot of growing pains in being separated from the culture she grew up in and the culture she's thrust into.

Life is pretty stable after the end of the first war - things don't start getting interesting until Tonks grows up and falls in love with a werewolf, so that's why I'm stopping my fic in 1981. However, I may write a postwar thing. IDK. Haven't thought that far in advance.

As for after Ted dies, she's devastated. Andromeda's one true love was Ted. That was her husband, best friend, love of her life, father of her only child...she loved him so much. It's a huge loss.

I don't have many HCs after Ted dies, just because they're so wrapped in what happens after the war. Andromeda, I think, goes into survival mode after the war because of all the death and loss her family has. Teddy, her grandson, is the only light at the end of the tunnel.

*I know popular opinion is him as a Hufflepuff, but I like Ravenclaw for him better. Ask me about it if you like!

I think the reason Harry didn’t use Remus in any of his biological kids names is bc he felt like Teddy was his son and teddys middle name is Remus. So it was already used.
