So I finally watched Hazbin Hotel...
And good lord I got caught up aaaaaand...
I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!
Just the setting, the characters and their designs, the SONGS!!! GAH!!! As someone who loved going to/watching Broadway shows/musicals with their dad, this was so much fun!
Husker is a definite fave since he's such a mood! That and I love Keith David (aka Dr. Facilier) so that's a bonus! Also I'm addicted to HuskerDust right now guys! "Loser, Baby" has me in chokehold ok??
Tumblr media
Alastor is still neat and I love him but... God damn one moment I'm just laughing at his antics and wanting to smush his face but then the next moment I want to kick him in the shins! Also he and Lucifer should kiss already!!
Tumblr media
And I guess somewhat of a hot take but this show and Helluva Boss tackles the dark topics such as different forms of abuse and trauma WAAAAAAY better than P5 ever did (cultural differences aside tho which is still fair on that end). They just... Felt so raw but it felt... Almost validating? Relatable even?
I love P5 to death and it does some subjects well but then it just... Flops a bit somehow along with humor that can be forced at best, tasteless at worst.
Idk I think my time in the fandoms had me realize just how… Very, VERY gatekeepy people are when it comes to depictions of abuse and trauma. It's like… It feels very infantilizing and even grossly uncomfortable with those kinds of people. Especially if said people just actually haven't experienced such things so they don't really have room to talk about what counts as a "good" representation of such topics. They should just say they don't actually care about victims at this point, especially when they put down actual victims when they try to defend such depictions. Like it's uncomfortable and it's valid to feel such but that's the point and some victims felt comfort and heard and that should be a good thing. But no, they don't fit people's ideal molds of victims so they're not valid as such (aka "perfect victims")… I understand people not feeling comfortable and it's valid, just try to be understanding of how others feel.
Sorry it's just such a bitter realization I reached and explains why I struggle with wanting to defend such things as a victim of psychological/emotional abuse.
But yeah, I can totally understand if you guys aren't interested for one reason or another and that's fine! Just don't be rude or mean about it.

RWBY Ships
After getting to talk about my favorite characters from RWBY, I thought I talk about my favorite ships.
Of course, there are many that I ship, but these are just my top faves.
Alright Than.
Tumblr media
1.  Rosegarden (” Love Blooms Anywhere”)
When I finally got around to watching RWBY for the first time, Volume 4 had just come out, and I told myself that this character was quite fascinating.
But where Rosegarden comes in, I didn’t ship them until Volume 7, where it became clear that they both hold each other as friends, and that they both had a foot in the same mess.
Either way I like them both as friends and romantic partners, so even if this ship doesn’t happen, I will enjoy their interactions either way.
Tumblr media
2. Spiced Ice-cream (” Two is still better than One”)
Now the fact that I spent years watching this show, and that even though there is little interaction to even think of this pairing as romantic, you can clearly tell from Volume 9, that these two were in love.
I think that is great. The thing about shipping is that its free, and these two live rent-free in my head, the criminals.
Their dynamic of being partners, was the best thing to come out of their introduction, and the fact that Neo spent so long trying to find clarification for his death.
And of course, after being freed from the Cat, Neo decided to have a final talk with Roman and she settles for finding her own way home, while Ruby understands this, and thus brings the end to this ship.
But who says that fate can’t bring together again.
(And because I can just write a reincarnation fic, when I have the courage.)
To the next ship.
Tumblr media
3. Emercury (” Our feelings aren’t illusions.”)
Love comes in many forms, and I believe the form of love you get here, is someone trying to reach the other, and yet each want to take their own path.
And the other person questions, but still respects that they have those opinions.
Emerald as a character is great, and even with a rushed redemption, I still loved what she brought to the table, both good and bad.
Mercury on one hand is starved dog who has to fight for his scraps, but on a sadder note, is the same as Cinder in a way. An abused soul who never tries to step out of line (Unless it is to finally get the chance to murder.)
The thing is those they grew off of each other, and I think that shows as they work together throughout the show.
At first they didn’t want to work together, and Emerald thought that he was taking her place next to Cinder, but as time grew on, they both got use to the other and formed this friendship.
Than when they thought that they both were standing together, Salem changes the pieces on her chess board and pushes Mercury to Vacuo with Tyrian, who tells them that the world is indeed being brought to an end.
Still the two part ways on emotional goodbyes.
Not even needing words to explain themselves to the other.
Until they meet again, I guess.
While there still some time, I have to move forward.
Tumblr media
4. Whiteknight (” Not all princesses need a knight in shining Armor”)
Jaune and Weiss are two minor favorites of mine, but for different reasons.
I like that Wiess is a character that grows from flaws and reaches to high heights by seeing that family can come from those that aren’t your blood.
While Jaune is because he has a heart of gold that gets beaten and melted, and his emotions get racked through the dirt as he tries to make things better, not just for himself but for others.
These two had a long history together, but after they worked together, and each worked through their issues, you could see that their original opinion towards the other changed.
And if this ship did happen, then well, wouldn’t that be nice.
Now to the final message, each of these ships are of everyone's opinion, and I’m always open to hear it.
Thank you for reading.
And of course, a final hug to all who read the post.

Am I the only one that gets frustrated the way that a lot of fic writers write Jason and Tim in fanon? Like I’ll read one where Jason brutalizes and abuses Tim and Tim will just be like “it’s ok I forgive you”. I think it’s really ooc for both of them (god I hate battle for the cowl and titans tower). Maybe it’s because I have been abused by people who use the excuse that they’ve been through trauma too but it honestly makes my blood boil and genuinely upsets me when I read it.
You're definetly not the only one!! I just think it relates a lot to today's interpretation of sibling relationships, but especially family dynamics, both in fandom and mainstream media.
outside of dc's "hey, let's debate over who has the worst trauma cause that's a completely fine thing to do!!" problem, what makes me bitter regarding the fanon's interpration of Jason's bitterness and initial resentment of tim is just how out of reach it is from his actual reasons. when you make jason, - a child who grew up around abuse, was abused, canonly hates abusers and victim-blamers, and warp him into someone who bullies and abuses his family for a fictitious reason? ofc people have a right to be mad.
and i'm not talking about jason's resentment for being "replaced" or even his sadness for feeling as thought he wasn't mourned enough, and i'm not trying to lessen the meaning of that trauma; but it's become a thing in fandom, but especially in the DC fandom, that if your fave suffers enough, they have a right to ensure everyone suffers worse. and it's just not a thing that happens with jason.
what makes jason's and tim's relationship and dynamic and even "rivalry" interesting, is that they learn to grow together rather than grow apart; It's about Jason maturing, and learning, and developing as a character. If you take away his capacity for change? He's just another angry guy. Everyone knows an angry guy in the fictional medium. And he loses the core part of what makes him interesting. It's a stain on him tbh

Why villain stans so determined to hold the league of villains as leftist revolutionaries and fucking infants thst can't handle consequences at the same time?
I mean, if you are talking about fans seeing their faves as 'baby' is a thing for everyone. Not just for villain stans or hero stans, its a thing for everyone. The reason is i think seeing character's whole life is like watching your own child to growing slowly so it makes sense (though i saw really horrible irredeemable characters being treated as baby too).
Well, coming to your question, anon.
Tumblr media
People see league of villains leftist revolutionaries because thats literally the plot. Bnha is all about how messed up hero society is, it has flaws and heroes 1- they dont do anything about it 2- most of them dont even see anything wrong with it.
Every member of league of villains is victim of that messed up system and they are rebelling against it. Of course, obiviously, their way of rebelling is wrong but in the end, they are the only characters who ciricitize the system and calling heroes out for it. Its no coincidence either. Actually i remember someone making a post about it, how league of members resemble outcasts of the Japan, that people who are being left behind for no reason and how people are forced to be 'normal', i think in a way author is criticising his own country (maybe wold)'s abusive system with its victims.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also in this story, victims are also villains, i think its also clear that author try to show that even good people can turn into monsters, if they dont get help. That 'good-bad victim' mentality is wrong and unrealistic. You can even say author is criticizing that kind of mindset in a way.
Basically i think thats the point of story and i am really glad that author write his story like this.
Tumblr media
And i dont think 'villains stans' see villains as babies who cant handle consequences, its less about that, its more about empathizing their situtions and mental states. I mean, we are talking about victims who never get help, especially villain trio, Shigaraki doesnt really understood or more like accept what happenned to him, Toga doesnt really understand why people dont like her, Dabi doesnt even plan to survive, like, think about it.
In Toga and Shigaraki's case, narrative literally called them as 'child' for a reason.
Tumblr media
All those tragedies happenned to them when they were just little kids and from that point, they never really get help, they never had someone reach out to them, they never had a chance to really/heathy way to adress what happen to them, they wre conctsnatly shut down by society and treated as monsters, treated as they are at fault for being in this sisution at first place. Basically 'victim blaming'. Of course, in this sitution, they didnt emotionally grow either. Yes, they are not children but they are not adults either because people dont grow, if they are isolated from the world and reality, especially traumatized people. Also from their position it makes sense why they couldnt and cant see conseuquences of their actions.
Tumblr media
Btw, i think the one who cant really handle consquences are heroes/proheroes more than villains. Most villains know how their actions backfire to them but heroes are like they will kill and it will be justice, they will lash out for no reason but people will praise, they will be more violent than they need to be but they will still seen as 'heroes'. They are not 'oh so pure' characters. Both villains and heroes are gray people. I think story also pointed that the only real differences between villains and heroes are popularity (in vigilantes). We saw that there is not a single red line between them, there is just tiny line between them and it can eaisley switch depends on their situtions, thats the teryfing part of hero society' system and all story is about changing it.
(I hope you got me, anon, i think i got this question before, this is second one so weird but whatever.)

While Sansa hate is generally rooted in misogyny, she mainly get criticized because she dare to oppose fans faves. Ned, Jon, Ary@, Tyrion were already fan faves and established underdogs to fandom. Sansa at some point had opinions that clash with them. Plus her romanticism of Lannisters who were villain in first book(though she didn't know) made people to hate her more. People now realising that she wasn't evil was because she get abused in ACOK for things she believes in.
Hello Anon,
You are mostly right.
Society really hates women... who act like women in the most traditional sense and like you said Sansa hate comes from this hate mostly. Therefore I see no reason for trying to change these people's opinions about Sansa because the root of the problem is deeper than hating some 11 yo fictional girl. They have some intellectual issues to solve before having an opinion over a fictional world. So fck them.
You are very on point about Sansa's constant position as an opponent to those characters. Sansa clashes with these characters BUT the thing is: these characters are NOT the good/right parties in these clashes. And this is what makes this Sansa hate: annoying and stupid.
Ned: neglectful and awful father -> but Sansa is the ungrateful traitor daughter.
Jon: tbh they don't even clash, they are just not closed but for some reason people think 3 years younger Sansa was the reason of his problems aka being a bastard?? Ned was the reason of his problems and if anything Robb was the sibling who made Jon’s life harder as the first trueborn son. So in this case the fandom is reaching too far.
Arya: awful violent jealous sister who constantly makes Sansa's life miserable -> but Sansa is evil because she is dutiful, skillful and beautiful... Arya is the one who clashes Sansa not the other way around.
Tyrion: he wants to fck his child bride but she doesn't want to fck him -> evil btch.
As you can see, yes Sansa clashes with those but it's them who project their insecurities onto her.
Ned wanted to use her without regarding her own feelings and wishes and he neglected her because he was consumed with protecting his friend, secrets or Arya and he was ashamed of his decision to kill Lady etc... He was neglecting her because of his own failures.
Jon was hurt by her accepting the difference between a trueborn/full sibling and a bastard/half one. Sansa was aware of the realities in life and unlike other Stark children she wasn't ignorant about this difference. Other Stark kids also see and acknowledge Jon's status but they act like it doesn't matter even though they were calling him bastard/half brother. Sansa was more observant than others when she pointed out Jon's jealousy over a prince... she was aware that Jon was not ok with being a bastard and he was jelaous because of that. Arya's response to Sansa's true words show that Arya (and others) was blind to his inner struggle most of the time. Sansa knows the truth, she doesn't act like Jon is just like them and she still acts nice and kind to him. So when Jon sounds bitter about her calling him a half brother it's because HE is insecure about his position and it's not Sansa's fault. It's HIM being bitter over his status and not over Sansa's realistic approach to situation.
Arya's jealousy paints Sansa as an evil sister but you can actually see that it's all in her head. Sansa doesn't act like a proper lady to make Arya look bad and she is not beautiful to make Arya feel ugly. But she is projecting her insecurities onto her and because of that she can't see that Sansa is actually trying to invite her to her own life/circle (we see in the very first Arya chapter that Sansa tries to invite Arya into their conversation and she covers fo her against Septa but Arya blindly doesn't see these kindness) but Arya is always on alert and ready to dismiss this because she doesn't feel confident enough to be a part of her life because she fears that she'll look inadequate.
Tyrion is just a sick bitter fck... not even gonna examine him. He is a p*edo and has major father and women issues and he gets angry at Sansa for not solving his own personal problems.
So as you can see, these chars are not even the right parties in these face-offs but fandom still hates Sansa and finds her at fault.
About her romanticising Lannisters, I've already talked about that here: xx and her situation with Lannisters is more logical than what fandom tries to paint. The reasons of her actions regarding Lannisters were actually understandable and the bad outcome comes from others' decisions mostly, not from Sansa's. She acted reasonable enough with the information that was GIVEN to her.
She was observant enough to see Joff's anger (AGOT Sansa I), she blamed Queen for Lady's death, she saw King as an useless and scary drunk, she knew that not taking sides was logical (people forget that nothing happened to Arya/Joff after that Trident trial... so yeah Sansa made things better not worse, Mycah and Lady's death had nothing to do with her), she was rightly angry at her neglectful father who kept her in dark and used her for his own agenda and she innocently ASKED FOR HELP from the person who could help. Her actions were reasonable and they had no significant effect in the end (remember Grrm saying that show!Sansa NOT going to Cersei didn't bother him... and guess what?! nothing has changed in the end).
So if we can see all of these, why don't the haters? Because they hate girly girls or they need to hate Sansa to make their own faves look better. In both cases the reality of the story and chars won't change their opinions because they can't and don't want to change their opinions about her. Therefore I disagree with you a little: I don't think people know realize she is not bad. Very few people can truly admit that they fell for POV trap and now they see her truly. The hate is still going strong I am afraid. Haters still hate her after the torture and abuse she endured and if anything they feel like these bad things happened to her because she DESERVED it, so for them this is her punishment.
Mostly the new readers are more prepared to read the books with better understanding thanks to fans who write about Sansa and I also believe that Sansa's rewarding show ending made people question about fanon!Sansa and real!Sansa so they are more open minded and ready to see things clearly.
Thanks for the ask, have a nice day.

Another B*lly ask here ignore if you don't want to have this discussion on your blog, because I honestly understand not wanting to interact with this topic.
Going off that other anon, yes B*lly stans really blame Max for a lot of things than her abuser. There were a bunch of people who were angry at Max's speech in vol2, saying the Duffers just shit on B*lly even in death and it was apparently ooc for Max to wish for B*lly to dissappear, those are the words of the Duffers not Max because they are evil people. It's insane to me because I feel like I watched a completely different show than them, because they think after s2 Max and him were close and had a almost normal relationship. I mean I shit on the Duffers constantly, but one thing I have to give to them is how they handled both Max and El's relationship with their abusers. I was skeptical before s4 (especially when the first reviews said something about Max avenging B*llys death) but they did a good job showcasing how complicating those relationships can be. As soon as I heard Max say she wished B*lly would dissappear I knew how much hate she would get from those fans. I mean like the other anon said, they believe her standing up to him in s2 was her perpetuating Neil's abuse and makes her like the same level as him, I know it sounds so fucking dumb. It's not like she had to watch her brother almost kill a guy, who was probably the first one to stand up for her. Speaking of Steve, they also justify him getting beat up because he in their eyes threw the first punch unnecessarily, completely ignoring B*llys violence towards Lucas. Plus some even go so far to say B*lly thought of Steve as a pedophile for not telling him the truth about Max's whereabouts. This is by far the most insane take I've seen so far like I was speechless.
They also shit on Caleb after the interview, saying his opinion doesn't matter, only Dacre's who apparently played him as non racist. I think that says everything about them, dismissing the things the main black actor says about their clearly racist fav. Even when people acknowledge B*llys racism it's always compared with no those are Neils beliefs he just repeats them, as if that's not what racism is lol. They always blame anyone but B*lly, he was 18 years old not a child who didn't know better he could start think for himself. I understand he was abused himself, and nobody deserves that but it's not an excuse for his actions. They baby him so much but at the same time are hyper critical of Max who is an abuse victim herself. Saying she should have known better or reach out more, etc. Like Max was 13/14 she's a child trying her best ugh.
I'm sorry this is so long, but B*lly stans just make me so angry. Like I get some of them, I've seen reasonable takes about his characters but others are just something else. When I first watched the show without being in the fandom, I'm new to it, I was neutral towards B*lly, like I disliked him in a normal way but then his stans tried to make him out to be this completely different character than he was canonically and it just made me hate B*lly sm. The complete opposite of what they wanted to accomplish.
no bb you’re so so so okay and your feelings about it are so valid bc it’s so beyond fucked. the way they throw him up on a pedestal and try framing survivors of his abuse as the abusers is SUUUUUUCH a scary tactic that abusers use commonly irl. i think that’s one of the main reasons why i can’t fuck with anyone who stans him. that and the racism obviously.
and honestly i know anyone could come at me and try to be like “but you write about kurt!!!1!1!1!” like…. ya babes but I don’t deny his character was fucking awful too lmao like. at least own up to the fact that your fave is problematic, recognize that, and maybe don’t internalize it and try to mirror his mindset/actions/words bc that’s just fucked.
anyway back to your points— yeah that’s textbook abusive behavior, deflecting the damage you’ve done on others to make it seem like you’re the victim. max did what she could to protect herself and the party because no fucking adults listened, and b*lly wasn’t stupid, he knew when and where it was safe to unleash hell on her. constantly a dick , but we saw behind closed doors how fucking scary he got.
also that’s so fucking infuriating that they’re being so dismissive of a black actor’s perspective on their character. like….. how fucked do you have to be in the head to try and argue that caleb doesn’t know what he’s talking about lmfao….. and these are the same folks that will have blm in their bios but try to ignore the blatant racist views their fave had. even if it was “indirect” at some points, anyone that doesn’t have fucking hay for brains would recognize that immediately after watching b*lly interact with lucas.
even if he DID get those views from neil, you’re absolutely right, he’s old enough to know better enough that that’s fucked up, old enough to know he has a lot of unlearning to do. and i get it, if we really want to get technical, i know the american schooling system has always taught us that racism is a thing of the past, and back when you didn’t have internet at your fingertips, living in a small sheltered town of mostly white folks, it’s not hard to fall into those shit mindsets. that is NOT me excusing any of this by the way!!! point is b*lly definitely knew how to be a bully, and it grew into something so much worse. trauma can really fuck a person up but it’s NOT AN EXCUSE!!!!! i say that firsthand lmao like i have lost people due to my outbursts and bad episodes and taking it out on them unintentionally but it’s something i still take responsibility for you know? you don’t get out of jail free card that just because you’re suffering yourself. just because you’re hurting doesn’t give you an excuse to hurt others!!!!!!!!!
sorry i’m rambling lmfao. anyway. the mental gymnastics they go through to defend their shitbag fave is absolutely astonishing. the disconnect to reality and the cherry picking is so fucking ass backwards; there’s no reason for them to try and defend him with “he was abused!!!!!!! where’s ur empathy!!!!!!!!!” and then go and excuse the fact that he literally wanted to beat (and probably kill if he could) lucas just because he’s black. i just can’t say enough how fucking insane it all is.

Merry Go Round of Life 3
Find my masterlist
Part 3 people!! And guess what? We’re finally meeting some of our faves here!
This will be Din Djarin x f!reader. Eventually. Give it time.
Warnings: I don’t even think there’s swearing in this chapter.
Tumblr media
Chapter three: In which there is a wizard
A soft weight settling on your lap woke you up. Well, partially woke you. You didn’t open your eyes as you murmured, “Not time yet ‘Mer.” It was definitely Omera. Cara would never be so gentle trying to rouse you.
A gentle coo made you blink, then your eyes flew open and you sat bolt upright, and then immediately slouched back into the chair with a groan of pain. Oh, ow. Your everything hurt.
A giggle from your lap caught your attention again, and you carefully blinked down at your lap. A small child was settled happily in your lap, looking up at you with large brown eyes. He smiled and giggled again. Your heart melted, just a little.
“And who are you, little one?” you murmured. “Are you here by yourself?” You looked around, one hand carefully cupped against the kid’s back to hold him steady. But there was no other sign of life around.
“Finally awake again,” the fire grumbled, rousing from slumber and stretching up towards the ceiling. “Took you long enough!”
For a moment, just a moment, you stared at the fire. That had been real, not a weird dream. All of it was real. The curse. The witch. All of it. You were in the moving castle.
“Don’t mind the kid,” the fire told you. “He’s Djarin’s ward. I think. Or adopted son. I don’t really keep track.”
“Djarin?” You stumbled a little over the unfamiliar word.
“The wizard?” The fire prompted you, sounding a little derogatory. “You don’t even know the wizard’s name?”
You shrugged, carefully, and rearranged the kid to be more comfortable in your lap. “Nobody in Kalevala knows his name,” you pointed out, perhaps a touch defensive. “We all just called him the Wizard of the Moving Castle, or something like that.”
“Ha!” The fire snorted, sending sparks all over the place. You yelped and swatted at a stray one near your skirt. “How pretentious! I can’t decide if he’d love it or hate it.”
“What should I call the little one?” You smiled down at the child, who beamed right back at you.
“Dunno. Mostly Djarin just calls him kid.”
The kid looked around at that. You had the feeling that he understood a lot more of what was going on than he let on. Then he grabbed a handful of your skirt and started playing with it, apparently content to stay where he was.
“Hey, we still on?” Peli demanded suddenly. “Our deal. You’re still going to work on it, right?”
You stood, carefully holding the kid to you so he wouldn’t be harmed. The little darling immediately cuddled into you with a little huff. “I don’t know how much help I can be. I’m not a witch.”
“You don’t need to be.” Peli smiled, and it showed far too many pointy teeth for a fire. Far too many pointy teeth in general, actually, now that you thought about it. “You’ll figure it out, you seem smart.”
Something about Peli’s words had little alarm bells going off in your mind. “What do you mean, figure it out?”
“Well, I can’t just tell you,” Peli hissed. “That’s against the rules. Even I can’t break the rules. Nobody can. But! There will be hints. All you need to do is stick around for a little while, and once you figure it out, I’ll lift the curse on you!”
You considered for a few moments. Really, that didn’t sound awful. You’d have to think of a convincing reason to stay in the castle. But either Peli would help you, or wizard Djarin would. You still couldn’t exactly go back to your shop, not with the way you looked. So while this hadn’t been part of your plan, it wasn’t bad. There were no major downsides that you could see.
“Alright,” you agreed. “It’s a deal.”
Peli grinned at that. “You’ll need to give Djarin a reason for staying.”
You nodded your agreement and started to carefully walk around, looking around the room for inspiration. The room wasn’t messy, really, but it was a bit cluttered. And a bit dusty.
“I could be his housekeeper?” you suggested.
“Not a chance,” Peli said with a snort. “He’d throw you out in an instant. Stubborn man.”
You frowned at the fire briefly before you continued your exploration. There was a little kitchenette attached to the main space, and before long you had a kettle and tea. “I could cook?”
“Nah, he does some of that himself.” Peli eyed you as you poured water into the kettle. “What are you doing?”
“Making tea.” You tone said that this really should be obvious.
“Oh no you don’t!” Peli immediately protested. “No! I refuse! That is blatant abuse!”
“I don’t see any other fireplaces,” you pointed out. “And I want a cup of tea. Actually, the little one could do with some breakfast, too.” You turned appraising eyes to the kid, who was still propped happily against your shoulder. He blinked at you and burbled, one little hand reaching over to pat your cheek gently. Your heart melted a little more.
“No,” Peli repeated, eyes wide. “No!”
“This won’t hurt you,” you told her, well used to tantrums from both your sisters and your niece. “Just bend down your head a little.”
Peli made an odd hissing, crackling noise as you plonked the kettle down over the fire to heat. Satisfied, you hobbled off to grab the frying pan and eggs. Everyone liked eggs. (Hopefully the kid liked eggs.)
“That’s right,” you muttered as you plonked the fry pan down too. “Good fire.”
“Here’s another curse for you,” Peli muttered bitterly, blue eyes staring at you. “May all your cooking burn.”
You hummed quietly as you worked, and the kid behaved remarkably well. Cooking one-handed was a little slower, but the kid didn’t want to be put down, with one hand fisted in your dress and the other half-shoved in his own mouth. Every time you looked at him, those big brown eyes were looking right back at you. Really, it should be illegal for children to be this cute.
The door creaked open behind you as you were cracking eggs into the fry pan. You stiffened but didn’t turn to look, instead focusing on the eggs. You stirred the eggs carefully, waiting for something to happen. The kid babbled something incoherent and turned to look at the new person, but didn’t let go of you.
“Peli.” The voice was low and rough, and definitely male.
“You’re back!” Peli wiggled under the fry pan. “Make her stop, she’s awful!”
A presence stopped next to you. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw dark fabric and metal armor. Again with the armor. Maybe it was a witch and wizard thing? Hadn’t the witch been wearing armor when she cursed you? Curious. The person was male, and taller than you (easier than ever, since you seem to have shrunk a few inches in your new old age). He was also eerily, disconcertingly quiet.
“What is going on?” he finally asked, voice a little raspy.
“She’s abusing me!” Peli immediately burst out. The kid in your arms cooed and laid fully against your shoulder, grabbing a handful of hair in his grabby little hand. You huffed and carefully shuffled egg onto a plate for the kid.
“Eggs?” you offered the wizard blithely. “Figured the little one could use some breakfast.”
The wizard didn’t respond, but the helmet slowly moved to look at Peli instead. “Who let her in?” he demanded.
“Nobody, she just wandered in on her own,” Peli answered. “Somewhere between Kalevala and Tattooine.”
“Just wandered in,” he repeated slowly. The helmet shifted focus to you.
You shrugged, careful not to disturb the child, and managed to balance two plates over to the table. Wizard Djarin followed you.
“I was looking for a new job,” you told him, on the fly. That was not true, but somehow you’d stumbled into a job all the same. “You really shouldn’t leave such a young one home alone, you know. They’ll get into all sorts of mischief. My niece is only a little older than this one, and she was a fright! Used to try to put herself in one of the ovens if my sister didn’t have an eye on her.” You chuckled. That was absolutely true - Winta, Omera’s daughter, had been a right terror as a toddler, and had run the entire bakery staff into the ground.
The wizard looked at you, his helmet tipped slightly to one side, apparently deep in thought. Letting him look his fill, you set the child down at the table with a clean spoon you found. Fortunately, he was able to feed himself, though he seemingly narrated the entire process to you. You hummed when it seemed appropriate and nodded along with him. Honestly, small children were sometimes good like this, entertaining themselves and you. Win-win.
“You’re good with him.”
You jumped. You hadn’t expected the wizard to speak, and you blinked up at him. “He’s a sweet little one,” you answered carefully.
The wizard nodded once. When the kettle whistled, he waved you to stay where you were and retrieved the kettle himself, pouring the hot water into the teapot. You blinked, surprised, but didn’t object. As soon as all the cooking objects were away from the fire, Peli sprung back up towards the ceiling, seemingly stretching out and complaining, though nobody paid much attention to the words. (Well, you certainly didn’t, and it didn’t seem that Djarin was paying attention either.)
The rest of breakfast passed quietly. The kid ate and then slid off his chair to go wrap himself around the wizard, who picked him up easily and carried him off. You cleaned up after breakfast and then did a bit of tidying (and conveniently poked your nose into various cubbies and drawers, just in case there were any convenient hints laying about).
It wasn’t longer than an hour before the wizard returned and handed the kid to you again. You took the kid, blinking up at the wizard.
“I won’t be long,” he said, helmet focused on the two of you. “Stay with the kid.”
You nodded, momentarily perplexed, and watched as Djarin walked to the door. He turned a knob next to the door, one you hadn’t noticed before, and opened the door. Instead of seeing the expected hills of the countryside around Kalevala, or even the sandy wastes of Tattooine, you saw… a town? It was a different style of architecture than Kalevala, and you thought you heard birds, but different birds than you’d ever heard in your life.
But the view you had was brief, as Djarin stepped out through the door and shut it firmly behind him.

I'm both a Hordak and Catra stan but Can you really blame the "pro" Catra-stans ? Their favorite gets suffocated twice on screen, right when she was showing signs of change by opening up to Scorpia, she has lived with severe anxiety thinking Hordak would demote her, dispose of her any second if she failed And lo and behold it did really come true too. She got stripped of her rank, became suicidal, indifferent to danger., She leaves the wastes because despite being punished by Hordak she still wants to prove herself to him and get that bit of validation to realize her own self-worth(she gets also triggered by Shadow weaver but that comes only after interrogating Adora) .In season 4 after she feels cornered again she "dethrones" him but temporarily she then soon reverts to her old habits by wanting validation from Hordak like he desperately wanted prime's, she was content with being equals, partners in crime with Hordak rather than overthrowing him for real and such as when she asks him permission to "give the command", she goes from becoming a SW to a Hordak closing herself off from everyone, yelling "Get out" While Hordak too is undeniably abused. The narrative follows Catra more we see more of her suffering. So I really get why they're so biased but it's sad too because Hordak and Catra have many similarities with eachother.
Sorry English isn't my native tongue I hope I was a little intelligible.
Ah, no worries; your English is far better than however I would fare in your native tongue c:
On your points regarding Catra stans... well... I mean, certainly people have the right to feel the way they feel. It’s not like we can really control our feelings towards these characters; they just happen (case in point: me and this embarrassing Hordak stint I’ve been on for over a year). However... I can’t say that much of what you say regarding Catra holds true for me personally. And for that reason, I just don’t find much in common with the really hardcore Catra stans.
To me, a lot of it has to do with choices. Catra is at her most sympathetic to me in the very earliest seasons, where things are truly out of her control. Adora leaves. Shadow Weaver is still in power and treats her abominably. At this time, I really do feel for her. As the show goes on, however, I find that my ability to really connect with her just sort of dwindles. Especially when Hordak is right there and not presenting any of the problems Catra does.
Like... so, you mention that she lives with severe anxiety thinking that Hordak will demote her for failing, and that this comes true. Well... that’s not really the case, is it? Hordak doesn’t demote her for failing. He’s demanding, yes, but he’s not unreasonable. Rather, Hordak demotes her because she lies to him. And that is a choice she makes. She chooses to prioritize Shadow Weaver over what is essentially her job, and she does so in a way that presents a significant danger to both Hordak and the Horde itself - a danger that truly does become realized when Shadow Weaver helps the Princesses infiltrate the Fright Zone. This situation doesn’t make me feel sympathy for Catra. Rather, it makes me feel exasperated because she was given a legitimate chance by Hordak, and she squandered it.
When she leaves the Waste, it’s not because she wants to prove herself to Hordak. Rather, she makes it very clear that she is disdainful of him and doesn’t much care for his opinion at all (calls him a shut-in, remarks that he doesn’t know anything about the outside world). The reason she leaves is because she learns that Shadow Weaver is with Adora, a bit of knowledge that, to her, means that Adora is “winning.” She leaves because her self-worth is essentially based on Adora herself. Catra feels the need to beat her, no matter what the cost. A concept that is really driven home at the end of season three where she just about says as much, declaring that she’d rather see the world end then let Adora win. Which... I mean, I get that she’s coming from a sad place, but there’s a line crossed there, and it’s a significant downer for me.
Moving on to season four, I wouldn’t say that she feels “cornered.” At the start of season four, Hordak is absolutely not a danger to her. He doesn’t want anything to do with her. He doesn’t want anything to do with anything. He’s... well, to my eyes, he’s depressed. He’s deeply hurt over Entrapta’s supposed betrayal, and he just wants to be alone. He wants to build up his defenses and protect himself from being hurt again. Because of these desires, he essentially stalls the war, and this is why Catra dethrones him. Not because she wants validation, or because he’s dangerous to her. Certainly not because he “corners” her. I mean... she enters his sanctum uninvited. She makes that move. Not him.
She legitimately dethrones him because he’s not warmongering fast enough for her. She wants to continue the war so she can stick it to Adora, and Hordak is too melancholy for her tastes. So she attacks him and removes his life support and basically bullies a disabled man so she can get back to heckling Adora.
I just... don’t really enjoy that? There’s nothing in it that I find sympathetic. Honestly, I just find it uncomfortable to watch.
I find it uncomfortable because in all of these instances, Catra has agency. She has power. She has the ability to make a good decision and just... kind of doesn’t. Over and over again. In numerous different, varied circumstances. Despite receiving support and love from Scorpia. And the ultimate reason she makes these bad decisions is because she wants to hurt Adora (whom she supposedly loves more than anything, so...? Yikes?). In the end, she really does abandon seeking any authority’s approval and makes it her mission to ensure that she wins while Adora loses. Her focus narrows to that point, and I’m just not super into it.
Hordak, on the other hand, never gets this sort of... vindictive cruelty streak to him. He remains focused inward. To his detriment, the poor dear.
The narrative may try to paint Catra as sympathetic, and it works to an extent, but for me, it ends up becoming less compelling to watch as she gains power and continues to do the worst things imaginable. Whereas Hordak, upon getting like... his first offer for friendship, immediately begins to change and reevaluate his priorities. Only to be stopped by... well, by Catra making a stupid, awful decision and ruining it for him.
I also am of the sort that finds the abuse that Hordak goes through to be far more horrific than what Catra goes through. That’s not to say that what happens to her isn’t terrible; it is. But... to me, it’s like comparing the Etherian Horde to the Galactic Horde. Yes, both are bad. But the Galactic Horde has... I don’t know... there’s something absolutely sick about it that just makes it worse for me. Some sort of existential wrongness. The same thing carries over to Hordak’s story. While Catra’s, like the Etherian Horde, is terrible, it just doesn’t reach the same level of visceral horror for me.
So, anon, while I respect Catra stans enjoying their fave, I can’t really say I can relate all that much anymore. Honestly, at this point, I just find her sort of frustrating. Especially given how her redemption arc pushes all of the other characters to the sidelines of the narrative and still fails to address major events (like Angella’s death, for example).
Hordak’s character doesn’t suffer from these frustrations. So, in the end, I’m afraid I’m going to have to continue to prefer him. But that’s fine, I think; to each their own!
I’m glad you can enjoy both to their fullest c:

Tumblr media
There she stood, your best friend. A light Autumn breeze waving through the early spring trees, shivering the grass alive with it. Her shoulders shaking with the leaves, mumbling through her pink painted lips, whimpering and sobbing between words.
There wasn’t a word needed to express what happened, the petite girls’ tears flowing down her pretty face, carrying all the information with them.
She bunched up the skirt of her dress, fumbling with the seam before lifting it slowly and carefully. Her blood shot eyes watching you carefully as her lip trembles, fresh tears flowing.
Your eyes wandered down to the seam of her dress, slowly revealing the bruises on both her thighs. A hand covering your mouth, careful to not upset her, shake her, make her run. But there was little to hide, the agonising and painful pull at your heart.
She let the skirt fall, covering her thighs.
There was something you wanted to say, something reassuring, but the words could not slip past your lips. A simple ‘what happened’, a question reasonable.
“He- he touched me, and I said- I said n-no.” A string of sobs left her lips, closing her eyes. “He didn’t s-stop.”
You reached out to her, laying your hand on her shoulder, a light and careful pull. She stumbled towards you, laying her head on your shoulder. A thousand thoughts, but none delicate enough to say. You knew what happened as soon as she came walking up the street. A bittersweet romance turned poisonous. A possibility you saw coming.
The town doesn’t have a lot left for girls falling for the leather clothed men chasing them all over town. They turn their face away from them, whispering profanities. A lot of ‘told you so’, a lot of hot air from the people living in Dawn.
A lot of people think the town is possessed, cursed by witches from medieval times.
The smell of blood always wavers through the air as soon as you enter Dawn. Scientists say it’s chemicals, but none of that stays in the heads of the residents.
The old tale says that women used their period blood to seduce men, covering their desired man’s house in symbols to pull them into an everlasting love.
The town is built like a circle, a church in the middle, a poor attempt to rid Dawn of it’s evil. Before the church there was a town house, owned by the wealthiest man there was. Red scull, they called him, the origin story of the men in leather.
After him, the townhouse was torn down and a church was built, but not long after not even god was safe from Red Sculls son. The offspring who would bring the gang back to life.
They showed everyone who was in charge, blood was shed from anyone daring to refuse their power, deny them of what is theirs and so, the smell of blood never left. Always lingering in the air.
Generation after generation attracting folks who were looking for more control, but end up with blood on their hands, guilt on their faces. Only a few make it, with promises they couldn’t keep.
A town build on tales and make-believe.
You sat across the table from Lana, the girls’ hands wrapped around a mug, tears staining her pale complexion. He bottom lip trembled as she raised the mug to her lips.
“He needs to pay for this.” You said confidently.
Lana shook her head, her Bambi eyes wide with terror. “You’ll get yourself in trouble, you know what they can do, what they’re capable of. I shouldn’t have gotten involved with them.” A whimper escaped her lips.
You hung your head, defeated. There is truth to her words, but someone has to put an end to this. Another girl left on the curb, used and abused by the head of the clan. Another girls’ innocence stolen by force, without so much as a glance from the townsfolk.
An eerie silence fell, the presence of someone evil lingered around her.
Barnes.
A name no one who isn’t looking for trouble ever dared speak. Afraid it would somehow summon him, like a spell. A man as dangerous as his name, but just as beautiful as the devil created him. A curse not meant for the faint hearted.
His words are the national anthem here.
No matter if it’s a curse, spell or an enchantment, you’re not falling for it. Determined to defy the cliché of the weak woman falling for the devil’s son. A cliché in itself. A dangerous game to play, but a game, nonetheless.
You weren’t scared of a man trying to find a moment of thrill from an innocent soul.
-
The small cafe was empty, like every day it dawned on you day after day. Maybe that’s why your mother did what she did. A failure of a dream she had. Turn the family business into a cosy place, but the money stopped flowing slowly and steadily.
Standing at the counter with your apron, sundress adding to the sweetness of the aura your mother created. A place for the people who didn’t know of the more popular diner in the centre of town.
Your life threatened to become just like your mothers. No steady relationship, money slipping through your fingers, mundane days dripping with boredom. Your end was destined to end like your mothers, a sting of rope, swinging without life.
The pastries fresh from the oven, buttered and sprinkled with powdered sugar. A recipe your mother created. You set one down in front of you, a cup of coffee in your hand.
A break you didn’t really need, but took advantage of, nonetheless.
The bell above the door chimed, surprise overtaking you, but a look over your shoulder killed it instantly. Lana entered the cafe, still pale as ever. Her eyes shallow since that fateful day.
She sat across from you and you slid the plate over to her. Her small hands took the pastry, taking a bite. She loves your mom’s baking. “Can you pack up some of the strawberry ones for me?” A smile that didn’t reach her eyes stretched her lips.
A simple nod and you were about to stand when the bell over the door chimed once more and the look on Lana haltered you. The sound of heavy boots on the tiled floor.
The air filled with fuel and leather. You didn’t dare to look, in fact, you’ve never seen them other than when they rode their bikes through the streets, passing you.
“I think you forgot this.” One of them said, undoubtedly Barnes. A low and dangerous laugh echoed through the room, cutting through the tension.
A pair of panties hit Lana right on her chest, short breaths escaped her lips and you knew what this meant. Not much longer and the faucet would be running.
Anger bubbled inside you at the sight of her clutching the pair of pink lace panties. No matter how much danger radiated off from the man behind you, everything you knew about him was thrown out of the window.
You gripped the cup with your hand, an electricity searching its way through your veins. With the turn of your torso, not even sitting up from the chair you aimed the brown, hot liquid in his direction.
The cafe fell silent, all tension hit the floor as you met the eyes of the man stood in the middle of the room. Rage, that’s all you could read in his blue eyes. The two men standing behind him tightened their fists.
Time stood still, all eyes on you.
The only pair of eyes that you could focus on were the ocean blue ones staring right into yours. A death threat. Nothing but crime in his eyes and you right in his point of view. The shiver running down your spine left you cold. A single breath felt like a thousand daggers through your chest.
He moved, slow. Without a single second to react, his hand wrapped around your throat. “You little bitch.” He spat.
His voice ringed in your ears, but the rage bubbled back up, a stern look on your face. “How could you mock her after what you’ve done?”
You expected a lot of things. Maybe his hand tightening around your throat, or spitting on your face, but he retracted his hand.
A low chuckle from his lips and your face dropped, unconsciously softening. He studied you. Eyes moving from yours, to your cheeks, lips and raked over your body, stopping right on your cleavage.
“You’re going to pay for this, dollface.” he shoved his hands into his pockets. “You’re gonna wish you stayed in the shadows.” His smirk made you feel smaller than you wished it did.
Barnes and his entourage walked through the door, but he turned once more. “See you, y/n.”
-
It was difficult to decide whether the spotlight drawn to you by Barnes was worse than the fact that he already knew who you are. You relished in the fact that you never made direct contact with the Howling Commandos.
But now that comfort was stolen from you and you wondered what exactly they knew about you. It makes sense to you that they know the residents of their town.
A week passed. A week of anxiety. You tried to push away the thought of him, but each day you set foot into the cafe a flash of what happened passed before your eyes. Another memory added to the dread of this place, another one added to the one of your mother lifeless, swinging side to side.
Your fate isn’t as unusual as it may seem. No one truly gets out of Dawn, always bound to come back to take over the family business. Anyone stupid enough to move here sees the horror not long after, but it’s too late. Bound to the town and the town bound to them.
You breathed in and out, but the sound of motorcycles couldn’t find their way out of your ears. Was is a coincident that you heard the roar of their bikes more often this past week, or just your imagination.
Along with fear, a sense of responsibility and purpose raged within you. Somewhere in you. A purpose to teach him just how cruel the devil can be. What you have can be taken away from you.
Revenge is as sweet as strawberry jam.
-
Fun isn’t written very big in Dawn and unfortunately the only place to get wasted is the club house on the outskirts of town. A place full of the Howling Commandos, their wife’s, claimed women and men with a death wish written on their throat.
You let Lana in, leading her to the living room. A modest house, but a house, nonetheless. She sat next to you; her legs crossed. Two glasses were filled with red wine.
You handed Lana a glass, taking a big gulp of your own, eyes studying your friend with caution. It became harder to read her emotion, her face tainted by the horrors pushed upon her.
“How’s peter?” You asked between sips. A question to steer away from the million questions you had in your head instead.
“Oh, yeah he’s doing ok. He’s finally learned how to make a Bouquet.”
Peter started working at the flower shop a few weeks ago, revealing himself to be skilled in the field, a true eye for the delicate petals. A young man you wished she would’ve caught an interest in.
“But he’s been getting a little too nosy about the bikers,” her eyes watered, a sigh escaping your lungs. “he asked about him today.”
“Oh, Lana.” You pulled her side towards you, encasing her with your arms.
A knock on the door interrupted her quiet sobs, her big brown eyes staring into yours, a glimmer of fear hidden behind the glassy tears. Your feet carried you towards the door, hands shaking slightly as you turned the doorknob.
A man you recognise only by the patch on the shoulder of his leather jacket. A stern look mixed with boredom. A glance down to his hand and you saw the small brown package.
“For you.” A wicked smile spread on his grey bearded face.
You slowly reached your hand out to take the package away from him. The small bundle of brown paper rested in your hands. The man turned his back to you waling off to his motorcycle.
You stared at the package, backing away from the door after closing it. A twist in your stomach and you knew this wasn’t good, not in the slightest.
Lana walked over to you; questions written on her face.
Your senses kicked in, only now realising that the package is warm. A warmth spreading over your hands, but a cold shiver running down your spine.
You set the package down on the counter of the small kitchen. A look over to Lana and you untied the bow with caution. The brown paper loosened itself and from it oozed a stench of blood. As the layers were pulled away from the mysterious item, the brown turned red.
A gag from Lana and a shrill scream from you as the paper was pushed away. A heart revealed itself, bloody and fresh.
Lana looked to you teary eyed, a hand covering her mouth. You swallowed stepping away from the heart.
“You know what this means, right?” Lana whispered, barely audible enough to bounce off the walls. A shake from your head and Lana removed her hand from her face. “When one of- one of them sends you the heart of a deer- it uh- it’s kind of like a claim of the woman’s heart.”
If you weren’t so disgusted by the sight of the object and the stench of blood filling up the kitchen, you would have laughed at the ridiculousness. You lifted the corners of the paper, heart pounding, hoping to find the name.
Bucky Barnes.
There it stood in tar black ink. You didn’t know what you expected, but you hoped it would be any other name. But the gift is his’, a claim on your heart and your name.

I'm just curious what your thoughts on Shigaraki are. Im praying he gets control back. I would be so sad if the body take over is dragged out. It looks like they are going the save Tomura route which is great but my thought is that means we won't get him back till the end.. I swear if they have Eri rewind him 😤 I hope it's OK to ask you this, if not please ignore and accept my apologies and have a good day. ☀️🌞
Ha ha it’s alright! I don’t mind talking about my favorite character, and musing out my thoughts about what might happen. Of course, keep in mind this is just my thoughts/viewpoint, and I would never say anything I muse out about this is a fact; I’m not the writer after all.  I’m just going over the story bits we already know and considering what could possibly be the story-direction we’re going towards!
(Also warning, this is probs gonna get a little long-winded because I have a lot of thoughts about this, and Tomura and Izuku’s stories are pretty tightly tied to the larger one at hand about the world they live in.)
To give you a short summary: I think Tomura might indeed stay possessed for a while, and perhaps Izuku could team up with his friends to help save him from this possession. I also don’t think Eri should be using her powers a whole lot right now in the story, given her trauma and age. She needs to heal herself first to avoid unintentionally causing more damage to her mental state. Trauma recovery takes time, often more than what we’ve seen so far in the manga.
And now for the long-winded explanation (under the cut so this post isn’t ridiculously long:)
So, considering the overall narration and themes Horikoshi has used in the manga, it feels reasonable to say that one of the end goals in all likeness is to “save” those the current society would not bother saving, including Tomura, and especially Tomura, considering his character and story kind of symbolizes the overall failures and problems of this society. His BG touches on so many bad things and problems wrong with the way their world runs currently.
(Apathy from people being over-reliant on heroes, lack of proper help for mental health, hero idol worship that makes people neglect their families over their duty as a hero, abusive parental figures, dehumanization, etc.)
Izuku’s main goal, the goal of his story after all, is to become the greatest hero as the beginning narration expressed. The most reasonable way to do that given the things we’ve been shown about this world, is to do something none of the current heroes would; save those deemed “unfit” to be saved. It’s not only something personally fitting to Izuku’s character, but holds larger symbolic meaning for the overall narrative. I actually saw somebody discuss this particular topic in a post a while back, that put it better than I ever could.
(click the link if you’re curious to read it, it’s a pretty interesting one)
Now, what that saving means in practice is likely going to be more complicated, since the people in question have done bad things that deserve consequences, and I won’t deny that.
However, one of the biggest issues is, that the way this society functions seems to kind of be the very source of these villains doing bad things. If only somebody would’ve bothered to pick up this scared kid walking on the street before AFO got to him, none of what is happening now would have happened. (or at least, it would’ve been someone else in worst case scenario)
So, to go back on what you actually asked about; I do think that in order to reach the goal Izuku was set, he does need to free Tomura from that possession, that’s probably the least he can and should do.
In that sense, it would honestly make sense it would happen close to the end of the story as the best way to symbolize Izuku becoming the greatest hero - saving even the person who everybody else likely deemed unworthy of saving.
Not to mention, I recall Horikoshi mentioning that he planned the ending to be something where heroes and villains have to team up to reach an end goal of sorts. Izuku teaming up with Tomura’s friends to save Tomura could fit into this concept.
As for Eri...her rewind powers are bit of a...yeah. I also have lot of thoughts about that so bear with me.
They’re pretty difficult from narrative perspective, because they come off very “deus ex machina” or “magical fix all” that removes any stakes, and I’ve seen from the fandom people wishing Eri to just magically fix everything each time somebody is horribly injured, which...that’s a tad disturbing to me? Asking this little traumatized girl who’s seen lot of horrid injuries and gore to view MORE of it potentially, to heal your favorites? Even if she’d want to do it willingly (which she probably would out of gratitude) she’s, what, six?
(yes I know this is fiction and I might be taking this a bit too seriously, but I am also looking at this from the narration point of view, and her doing these magic fixes would also actually be bad for the story narration IMO, I’ll explain below)
She’s just a child, she probably can’t really grasp yet what she can and can’t handle, when it comes to her trauma, and what is and isn’t good for her.  Eri “magically fixing everything” is an absolute no from me, both for her own sake and from narration perspective.
Like I get it, anybody would be sad when their fave gets hurt, I am too, but Eri’s a traumatized child, and tbh having her magically fix everything at her current state would in my eyes go against the point the narrative is trying to make, about the need for change and doing things better from the previous generation. Her rewinding these “changes” in the story, as a traumatized kid, is basically holding up the status quo that is harmful. Using somebody’s remarkable power out of duty to do good while potentially ignoring the impact it can have on the individuals own well-being, which basically will hindrance their ability to do said good in the future.
I can let fixing Mirio’s quirk pass, because he wasn’t horrifically injured in a manner that could potentially trigger Eri’s traumas. It was still a tad risky in my eyes to make this kid do it, because even if she did train for it, what if things went horribly wrong and she made Mirio disappear? That would’ve just caused her unnecessary mental anguish. They basically got lucky there that Hori was kind enough to make it work.
I would not mind so much, if the person having this power wasn’t a traumatized kid basically, in a story that is about a flawed system and the harmful effects it has on the individuals living in it with the way it currently runs.
So personally, I don’t want to see Eri use her powers at this point in that manner. She’s still recovering herself and probably not mentally ready to handle these things. Once she’s in a mentally better place, older and more capable of understanding what is or isn’t good for her, then she can go ahead and rewind people’s lost limbs left and right and use her quirk as the next generation superhero healer. But not right now, not when she’s still just a kid with horrible trauma.
Plus, I feel her point in the story was less about her power, and more about her parallels with Tomura; she could’ve become like him if she hadn’t been saved, and in turn, Tenko could’ve been like her if he had been saved.
So, from narrative point of view, It feels likely (though I could be wrong of course) that Tomura will remain possessed for a while, and Izuku’s end goal (or one of them) is to save him from the possession, and perhaps they’ll work together to defeat AFO. This last part I’m not that sure about though, given we still don’t have all the puzzle pieces. There’s probably a lot more to be learned about AFO himself, that will have an impact on how the story goes. We’ll see.
So yeah. Sorry this is kind of long, but sometimes you need lot of text to properly convey your thoughts xD Plus I’m just kinda used to writing long pieces of text.

The fact that so many JC stans that ship Wangxian act like LWJ wouldn't throw hands with JC for being an asshole to WWX baffles me. We see it the second time they interact on Daman mojntain that LWJ defenss WWX and fights JC. I've seen so many JC stans say that LWJ would respect that WWX loves JC and wants him as a brother and leave the situation be. When thats not what we see in canon? Yes LWJ's first instinct is to make sure WWX is alright and safe first and if not to get him there. But he has no problems verbally or physically beating JC's ass. So in fics where LWJ says something along those lines I just have to nope out because thats not him at all. LWJ would fond a way to defend WWX. He would tell JC to stop being and asshole even if its in a more polite way. He would not turn a blind eye or act like its ok and the familial thing to do for JC to treat WWX that way. He knows how brothers are supposed to treat each other and he would never stand for that especially if he has the power to do something
I think what we’re seeing in these fics is JC stans who prefer to keep JC more or less in character/acknowledge that the things he does are fucked up but not that that means he has to change and that it’s not the responsibility of everyone around him to just accept his cruelty and also genuinely love Wangxian as a ship and LWJ as a character running headlong into an extremely awkward conflict of... interest, I suppose? They want LWJ to be his loving, protective self, but they also want JC to be himself, and they don’t want to have to face the consequences of those two things butting heads, which would in practice result in a rather nasty fight and force them to pick sides between two characters they genuinely like. But LWJ not noticing and acknowledging the way JC treats WWX would be OOC, as would JC not treating WWX the way he does. If JC treats WWX better in public that would send a clear message that the way JC acts isn’t okay and that JC knows this, hence why he keeps his anger and cruelty to when they’re alone or surrounded only by the Jiangs, so that’s out. LWJ failing to notice what JC is doing is out because LWJ pays way too much attention to WWX for that. JC and LWJ never being around each other at the same time is out, because unless they already hate each other openly WWX would want them spending time together and if they don’t hate each other there’s no reason for them not to agree, and there’s no real reason for them to hate each other if LWJ doesn’t think the way JC treats WWX is bad, as for the most part authors that reach this level of awkwardness don’t go for the “LWJ is jealous of JC’s close bond with WWX” bullshit.
So you begin to see their difficulty. The solution that frequently ends up being chosen is LWJ noticing and acknowledging that JC’s behaviour is pretty horrible, but explaining it away to himself as “Well, they just express affection weirdly”. Which is, yes, a painfully weak justification for not even looking into it and more than a little out of character, especially in fics where JC has openly hurt WWX badly enough that he had to go to LWJ for comfort (and it only gets worse the more hurt WWX is described as being when he goes to LWJ), but... as much as I disagree with those authors’ choice of favourites, I do feel pretty bad for them. They don’t shy away from depicting their fave’s shitty behaviour, but now how do they avoid LWJ beating the shit out of him for hurting WWX? It is a very unenviable position they find themselves in! While I maintain that the best solution would be to realize that having to jump through so many hoops to make JC look slightly less bad might be a sign that they should find a character they can pick as their favourite without having to go through all that bother, I don’t know why people stan JC and I’m not going to try to stop them; so now they have to find a different, more complicated solution. It’s a pain for those of us who would prefer LWJ openly despising JC for abusing WWX, but I do feel for the authors having to navigate the mess that is stanning JC while also being aware of how badly he treats WWX even if they usually handwave it as “his form of affection”.

I'm just curious but why is it you like Micah and can't stand Abigail?
Just answered why I don’t like Abigail here.
Micah... he’s just interesting, he’s funny. I obviously DO NOT SUPPORT HIS ACTIONS AT ALL. Like, he is a BAD man, always has been, always will be.
I’ve always really liked villains growing up, like in Disney films and all that jazz. So whenever I get into something, the villain is usually one of my faves.
I think I mostly feel sorry for Micah? At first, I didn’t like him, just like everyone else, but reading into his backstory is interesting.  His dad quite clearly abused him and his brother. His dad teaches him the whole ‘kill or be killed’ quote that Micah now lives by. I don’t think Micah ever mentions his mother? So growing up with constant negativity (his dad) is deffo going to traumatize him.
I feel sorry when he reaches out to his brother. He sends Amos a letter and Amos replies like ‘I love you cause youre my brother, but youre a bad man and I WILL kill you if you’re ever within 50 miles of me.’  Micahs probably tried to fix his broken relationship with his brother but that’s done for. It’s hard to change a person when they’ve been brought up a certain way. Micah was raised to be a killer, so be a killer he must.
His brothers lucky, Amos managed to escape it all and now has a wife n kids. Micah clearly suffers with a lot of mental issues that’s preventing him to change. With his brother gone, he has no positive influences to try and sway him, so he’s just a loose canon at this point.
Micahs interesting from a psychological point of view. Like he is the way he is because of his fathers upbringing. Obviously, as a fully grown adult, his actions are wrong and he KNOWS theyre wrong, but its what he’s been raised to do. Micahs abandoned all hope and is allowing himself to just go ape shit. He has nothing to lose. He has no woman, no kids, no family; theres nothing stopping him from doing whatever the fuck he wants. He doesn’t know right from wrong because he father taught him everything back to front. So if Micah beats up a man for looking at him funny, his first thought isn’t ‘I shouldnt beat up this man, he’s done nothing wrong,’ it’s ‘this man shouldn’t have looked at me in the first place, he asked for it.’
I could honestly spend hours talking about all of Micahs backstory and why he’s interesting cause of that but I don’t wanna make this reply longer than it already is. I also think he’s hot.. sorry... idk why. He’s got a nice voice too. His sarcasm and wits are hilarious. He’s just a funny guy lol.  Also, personally, I deffo have some trauma issues which makes me like wreckless people like Micah, so theres probably some like weird subconcious reasoning as to why I’m attracted to fucking idiots lol.
Yeah idk Micahs just pretty neat x

TFW you realize you relate more to a fave character than you ever actually consciously realized, lmao.
So I was just having a remote therapy session, and we were focusing on just some mental pain management techniques since my stupid metabolism makes most pain meds largely useless and my head has been waging all out warfare on me for the past week and a half, lololol. And we were delving into one of my personal fave rants, which is the fact that so many people - including vaunted medical professionals - just fundamentally don’t seem to get that having a high pain tolerance does not mean you don’t like, FEEL pain unless its really a lot or intense. Its just that you’re hard-wired/trained/geared via stuff like an abusive childhood, lol, to not SHOW or DISPLAY any visible or audible pain cues unless the pain reaches a certain high threshold where its impossible to hold them back.
But particularly over the past four or five years, with my ongoing medical shit, its super obnoxious trying to get your doctors to display a sense of urgency about your condition because they’re just fundamentally not grasping the degree of chronic pain you’re dealing with every day, since, y’know....I can literally be sitting there in the doctor’s chair and conversationally talking about the fact that no, I definitely am currently feeling like, an eight or nine out of ten on the pain scale, please don’t be confused by the fact that I’m literally LOLing as I describe this to you rather than gasping and moaning in a more obvious indication of it.
Its like, I’m not TRYING to undersell it or anything, its just, when you grow up since the time you’re like five or six years old, knowing damn well that the only appropriate response to someone asking ‘oh am I hurting you’ that won’t earn you MORE pain is a completely casual or cavalier sounding ‘nope, I’m fine, all good here, no problems.’......like, at a certain point in your development, that becomes pretty hard-wired in, like, you can’t shake it just because you consciously WANT to. (Though it is one of the things I’m trying to unlearn and ‘rewire’ in therapy now, via EMDR techniques aimed at like, literally reprogramming my nervous system and how I react to various stimuli. Its.....slow progress, lmao, but I mean there is some progress so its all good).
But point being, when you’re a physically abused kid and your physical abuser doesn’t want to believe or accept that they’re hurting you, and so they tended to just get angrier and MORE dangerous if they thought you were indicating or even just ‘implying’ that they were in fact hurting you.....you get pretty damn good at not showing even the slightest hint of pain or distress unless its literally a level you’ve never experienced before and thus have no practical experience in hiding or distracting yourself from.
But that doesn’t mean you don’t FEEL every bit of it. It doesn’t mean you’ve found a magical off-switch that means you can just mind-over-body yourself from acknowledging or being aware that you are in fact in a shit ton of pain. You just.....have learned the importance of masking it, and found ways to do that by necessity.
Except, even much later in life when you are in a safe place or more control of your situations or surroundings, there’s no easy way to just....stop putting that mask on by default, the second you’re experiencing any type of pain. And so even when dealing with medical professionals, too many of them just don’t GET that their vaunted ‘tell me how much pain you’re in from one to ten’ scale isn’t really the be-all and end-all of pain measurement, because its subjective and arbitrary as HELLLLLLLLL.....and one of the defining parameters for what that pain scale looks like and feels like for YOU, is....your personal history with pain and how you’re ‘comfortable’ displaying evidence of it. (And I know there’s a ton of people and even groups of people who can relate to this for entirely different reasons, I just can only speak to my own of course).
But its definitely frustrating and invalidating as hell to be in more pain than many people ever experience in their lives, and TRYING to convey that as openly and honestly as you can.....and literally being able to SEE the doubt and dismissal in doctors’ eyes, because all they’re seeing is the visual cues you’re putting out there and which they equate to ‘can’t possibly be in THAT much pain, not if he’s acting this casual about it’.....
And so the frustrating irony is that you end up dismissed as like, a pain ‘lightweight’ who is complaining about an apparent degree of pain that’s barely anything in their ‘professional’ estimation. And thus they’re disinclined to take your requests for heavier or more effective pain medication seriously, or not impressed by your attempts to imbue a greater sense of urgency in their approach to your treatment plan or procedures, etc......when in reality, the only reason you’re showing those cues of not being in that much pain is because you’re MORE used to and familiar with even extremely high degrees of pain than anything a lot of them are accustomed to.
Its invalidating as hell, being treated as though you have no idea what you’re talking about when you say “I am actually in a shit ton of active, ongoing pain, hey thanks, can we maybe do something about this,” when actually, the disconnect comes from you having MORE experience with MORE pain than some of them can even fathom. You just....also have more experience with reasons not to SHOW that pain, if its at all avoidable to any degree whatsoever.
THAT’S what high pain tolerance actually means, and the sheer volume of medical professionals who just flat out don’t get this, or worse, just don’t care or are too proud to reassess their viewpoints on this matter if that carries the implication they don’t actually know as much as they think they do......god, it grates.
(Once, when I was around twenty-three or twenty-four I think, I got caught up in the periphery of a bar fight that resulted in me getting a shard of glass embedded in the back of my forearm. Still have a pretty sizable scar from it. And it absolutely hurt like fuck, but I was conscious as paramedics arrived on scene and when going to the hospital to have it removed and stitched up, and like......kinda cracking jokes about it the whole time because I was uncomfortable as hell and didn’t really know what else to do or how to react, y’know? I mean, I had a few inches of glasses jutting out from the top of my forearm, lol, what the hell are you supposed to do or say about that? There’s not really a protocol, lmao. Problem was, they took one look at me sitting there with this spear of glass sticking out of my arm and making dumb jokes about it like it was no big deal......and they decided this meant I was in shock and kept trying to treat me accordingly. And it was just like.....useless, because lol no I wasn’t in shock, I had none of the physical symptoms of being in shock and benefited from none of their assumptions that I was.....I was just a dude with a shard of glass in his arm that hurt like fuck and I really wanted it out as soon as possible, and I was in full awareness of what had happened and everything I was feeling, I just didn’t know how to convey this in a way that they would believe, because I couldn’t come up with anything to say or do other than laugh about how fucking surreal the whole situation was.)
Anyway, so circling back to the point, or as much of one as I ever have, so today I was just learning and practicing various mental pain management/coping techniques with my therapist and discussing my issues with doctors and the High Pain Tolerance Quandary. Basically like, I would really truly like to know or learn how to display the ‘expected’ physical and visual/audio cues for being a person who is experiencing a ‘4′ on the pain scale, versus a person who is experiencing a ‘7′ or a ‘10′.....so they can stop fucking treating me like I’m only at a 4 when I’m actually at an 8 or 9, just because I look and sound like a person who really is only at a 4 no matter what they actually CLAIM to be feeling.
Course, easier said than done.
But yeah, so as she was coaching me through various techniques and surveying what I was doing with my body and facial expressions and cues, etc, she pointed out something that I had literally never noticed about myself before, even though once she DID point it out I could recognize that its something I’ve been doing for as long as I can remember, well back before I was ten and no doubt stemming from smack dab in the midst of the worst of my childhood abuse.
So, y’know on Teen Wolf, how Scott and Liam and various others are at times shown digging their claws into their palms and drawing blood to ground themselves with the pain? (And ironically, how I was just talking the other week about photo doubling for a similar such scene with gashes in the character’s palms, lmfao). Well, obviously I don’t have claws, and part of why I’d never really paid much attention to when I was doing it is because even my therapist wasn’t comfortable classifying it as a kind of self-harm or anywhere near punitive enough to carry that kind of weight or associations.....
But like, I’ve always kept my fingernails fairly trimmed but not completely. Like, just enough of an edge to them that at times, particularly when I’m in physical pain or distress already, I’ll just like....dig my fingernails into the pad of other fingertips, and use that little familiar spike of pain to not ground myself but rather distract myself from whatever else I was feeling. Like, she wasn’t comfortable calling it a self-punitive technique because as we got into it, it was clear I was never doing it to CAUSE myself pain....rather, its something I only do when I’m already in pain, usually far more pain than anything that brings up.....but by deliberately doing that and creating a focal awareness around it, even just a largely subconscious one......I’ve apparently long been using that to hook my attention up to a very specific, very manageable sensation/focal point of pain that lets me and my ADHD brain relegate whatever other pain I’m feeling (even if its much much worse) to the back of my mind for at least a little while, as I distract myself by focusing on this more obvious and consciously directed bit of lesser pain.
And a big part of why I probably never noticed I was doing this, we eventually concluded, is because as a kid I probably came up with it as a kind of survival technique specifically BECAUSE it was something I could do to distract myself/manage my pain covertly, without drawing my abuser’s attention to what I was doing either. And by extension, without the fact that I was doing it at all 'betraying’ that I was in pain or trying to manage or cope with painful sensations in the first place. A lot of other pain management techniques, like even just deep, deliberate breaths, tend to be a lot more obvious and noticeable, and thus would have been counter-productive for my specific purposes. No matter how much they helped me manage whatever physical pain I was feeling, they would have at the same time inevitably drawn attention to the fact that I was trying to do that at all in the first place....and thus only invite more pain.
Merely digging my fingernails into my fingertip pads, not enough to draw blood or make me cry out or anything like that, but rather just to distract myself and deliberately focus me on a source of pain I could deal with and more easily handle, as well as being ‘low in intensity’ enough that focusing on it didn’t bring any other obvious visual or audio pain cues to the forefront.....that I could do without anyone noticing. And thus this is likely why it came to be my go-to move whenever I was in any kind of pain at all, as just a quick and easy way to wrap my head around my physical sensations and shift focus to something more easily dealt with or managed (even if it didn’t actually dismiss or get rid of whatever other pain I’m feeling entirely). And just the low-key nature of it in general likely being a big part of why it became such an unconscious instinct for me until now, something that barely even registered in my conscious mind as I built up/hard-wired instinctive responses that incorporated it without me having to consciously direct myself to do that.
I mean, its still obviously not an ideal response, especially when I’m long past being stuck in any kind of external situations or need to fall back on that and the covert nature of it. So now its another of those things to just be aware of and work on rewiring on an instinctive level, making it a priority for me to focus on consciously using more helpful and positive methods of pain management.
But it was just interesting to me to have it pointed out as something I’ve been doing all this time, let alone being as unaware of doing it as I’ve apparently been. And its not hard to draw obvious parallels to when characters in media I consume do similar things even if for not quite the same reasons or in quite the same ways. So now I’m just kinda contemplating that and wondering how much even just some degree of unconscious awareness that I do that might have made me more alert to when characters or other people do similar things. Made me more attuned to noticing or even fixating on moments when they do things like that, that I related to even on an entirely subconscious level.
*Shrugs* Anyway, that’s all, like, literally not going anywhere with this, was just unwinding and felt like mapping my way through that all contemplatively, because oh no, inexplicable strangeness, therapy puts me in particularly contemplative headspaces, whodathunkit, lmfao. *Shrugs* Just struck me as particularly interesting, so felt like sharing for anyone else who can relate/see similar parallels themselves.
Or just chalk it up to random anecdotal wtf-ery from your friendly (err, mostly. okay sometimes. FINE ideally, let’s go with that) neighborhood over-sharer.
#that last bit is just to head off the usual 'friendly concerned advice giving anons' I tend to get after posts like these#plz stop doing that#i know i over-share its not a secret and I do it with full knowledge and intent because I feel like it#it suits my purposes#my purposes do not have to be your purposes nor do they require your approval#if it makes you uncomfortable thats where the beauty of tumblr being a largely opt-in experience comes from#there's the door#i can understand the confusion - its not actually a big blinking EXIT sign but rather an 'unfollow' button#its really that simple lmfao stop being so concerned with what Im doing particularly in posts where Im not even interacting with anyone#and for the love of god please stop assuming that everyone on tumblr is TRYING to post from a state of being on#an emotional plateau of zen#nah - some of us literally use the medium to vent and unpack stuff we dont have a ton of room to vent about or unpack in our offline lives#and like the relative(ish) anonymous nature of it combined with the potential for at least some kind of validation via#like-minded or experiencing individuals in a pseudo-communal setting#our purpose/usage does not need to be yours and it does not require your condoning#and I would just like to suggest that maybe people who put a ton of emphasis on telling others (like survivors) to do a better job of#curating what content they experience/are exposed to online#might be well served to put a little more focus on curating what content YOU experience if you find yourself uncomfortable with particular#posting habits#there's a bajillion other people out there to follow#you dont need to be here if you dont actually want to be or arent actually comfortable being here#BUT I DIGRESS

Fanfic Writer Game
Tagged by @sixtyfourk (thank you for thinking of me!! :D <3 that means a lot)
How would you describe your fanfic style?
Character-driven, with a focus on fleshing out characterizations, relationships, and character/relationship arcs. I really love using canon material and then examining the reasons for everything that happened in canon, and also fleshing out the character’s internal life, their life before what’s shown in the game, and their life after what’s shown in the game. And, of course, I tend to focus on the villains the most (with a few exceptions).
I also REALLY REALLY love focusing on character groups. That’s like, the biggest fuel behind my writing. Thinking about how all the prisoners would interact and what prison life would be like? Hell yeah. The prosecutors? The detectives? The defense attorneys? Global Studios? Characters who may have gone to college together? Hell yeah.
What tropes would you never use?
Hmm. The hanahaki disease has a cool aesthetic, but I definitely don’t think it’s something I’d want to write, because of the idea that unrequited love can kill someone, or the feeling of guilt or coercion that would be pushed onto the person they have feelings for.
And significant age gaps are a big no for me.
What tropes do you ALWAYS use?
Found family and hurt/comfort are my top two faves!! Though come to think of it, as of now I haven’t actually done a lot of that in my fics that I’ve posted so far.
But while I’m on the subject of listing overall faves-- character analysis of villains, angery villains who are extremely self-defensive and probably traumatized, redemption arcs, angst, dramatic conflict, and getting revenge on / killing abusers are 💯 💯 💯
OH and--I think the term is “bottle episode”? Like for example when a bunch of characters are trapped together somewhere due to a snowstorm or bad weather or something, and heavy characterization / relationship development ensues [gestures at my entire prison series]
Where do you write?
Usually on the floor in my room or my hallway! Since those are the spaces I usually sit while I’m at my computer (unless I’m drawing, in which case I sit at a tray table in another room)
How many names do you write under? Why?
I pretty much just write under “nebuloushadow” on ao3, though I have a headcanon blog here at ace-attorney-prison, and an incorrect quotes blog at incorrectaaprison. And like, I’ll sometimes post headcanons and stuff on this blog too!
What’s your usual rating level?
I think my usual rating level would be either G or T, though I rarely bother with ratings because it makes me anxious trying to figure out how to properly rate it 😅
I think I’d feel uncomfortable publicly writing anything beyond that.
Hard topics and adult topics do exist in my works, but so far they’re things I’ve only touched on, and I doubt I’d feel comfortable publicly getting too in depth / graphic with them.
First fandom you wrote for?
Ace Attorney!!
I mean, as a kid I wrote some stuff about TMNT for myself long before even using the internet, but I wouldn’t really call that fanfiction because it more had to do with playing pretend.
Ever since 5th grade, I’ve been suuuper focused on OCs (both mine and my friends’) and original worlds and role-play in fan worlds, and had a difficult time relating to people who could feel the same passion and drive to create content for canon characters.
When I started playing ace attorney in 10th grade, I don’t know why but it somehow felt like I could focus on these characters at nearly the same level as I could with my OCs. It didn’t usually reach quite that point at the time, but flash forward several years later and here I am, writing fanfic and drawing fanart and making playlists and focusing on canon characters to the same level (or even at a higher level) than I have with my OCs.
It’s honestly super rewarding, and it makes me lowkey emotional (in a good way) that there are actually other people who are super interested in my special interest as well.
And fun fact, the thing that sparked my drive to start creating fan content for this fandom has to do with OCs / role-play that were related to / based on Ace Attorney characters.
How long did you read fics before you started writing them?
I wasn’t really an avid reader of fics, but my friend who got me into Ace Attorney showed me a couple back in 10th grade which I got hella emotional over.
Do you usually write chapter fics or one shots?
One shots! If I write chapter fics / an updating fic, then I’ve kept it pretty short. It’s really difficult for me to stick to long term projects, unless I’m doing one shots within a specific project / theme (thank you ao3 series option!!)
Your fandoms:
I only write for Ace Attorney, and that’s definitely my main one!
I have a place in my heart for Warrior Cats, though--I started reading that series in 3rd grade and it become immeasurably important to me, and that’s the world I started doing Official Role-Play in. I don’t write for the canon characters, although I do have an AU that has Ace Attorney characters in the Warrior Cats world.
I enjoy She-Ra, Steven Universe, and some other things here and there, but AA is the only one I make content for. (It’s possible I’ll write about She-Ra some day though, considering I had a similar reaction / feeling about the characters that I initially had with AA)
And I mean, I’m definitely a fan of my friends’ characters / stories. Especially a few by my current rp partner whom I’ve been role-playing the AA prison with.
Tagging @greentrickster @famousinthatanonymousway @bardic-feline if any of you want to do it! ^^

This comes from an Eren stan: I love him and yes, he’s done bad things and made mistakes.
He basically forced the SC into engaging in an attack in a whole different continent. It wasn’t much of a choice but an ultimatum. Even if in the end it was necessary because it gave them a tiny bit of time (?), the surprise factor as a Grim Reminder 2.0 and they got the WH, he still basically told them to go help him or let him die (he was/is the only actual advantage they have). And welp, Sasha, one of the people he wanted to live a long happy life, ended up dying because of this...
It was collateral damage in the middle of a seconds before declaration of war, but he still killed innocents in Liberio, yup. No one can deny that, even if he was aiming at the Marleyan army.
He manipulated his own father into murdering the Reiss family. He clearly didn’t enjoy it, but he still did what he did. He had his hands stained with children’s blood even before (?) Liberio.
He was a jerk to his friends for whatever reason. It could have been for them not to follow him into hell and who knows, but he still was a big-ass jerk and they didn’t deserve his bullshit. Plus he didn’t even really gave them a choice, he got triggered at them insinuating he was being controlled / being a slave himself, leashed out on them and just put them and the rest of the 104th in a cell... Way to go with other’s freedom, Eren *thumbs up* you see this is why he lost his thumbs
He abused Falco’s trust and exposed him to hurt and even death when he transformed right beside him and Reiner. It was pretty unfair. He must have a soft spot for Falco but again, he still did what he did.
He rudely manhandled Hange, his commander. Yeah, Hange was getting into his nerves and all but Eren pls.
Levi getting hurt also was basically collateral damage to Eren’s decisions (and Levi’s own mistakes bc come on, we know how it went), and probably also Historia and her “timely” pregnancy while looking miserable
Eren have had the advantage that he saw glimpses of the future and the past that belonged to others. He’s the character that has the biggest power so far and maybe he’s gotten even more powerful now that he won Ymir’s side, the source of all that power who’s been passive for two thousand years. What I mean is that Eren has become someone that Kenny would respect since he’s really the “strongest guy” around, and... lately he’s essentially been submitting even the people he loves to his power and “knowledge” while claiming that he, at least, is free... lmao. Oh, and that ignorance sucks because “there’s nothing further removed from freedom” than that, right?
In chapter 122 we saw Eren give Ymir such a nice speech and all. After all she’s suffered, she at least deserved to be validated as a human. I liked it, but I can’t help but think about Eren’s actions so far and feel like bitchslapping him anyway. In my country we have a saying: “Padre Gatica, predica y no practica” (Gatica is just a lastname that rhymes with the other two words). In English it would translate to someone that preaches and is all talk like priests but doesn’t practice what he preaches. Lately, ever since the big timeskip, it feels like Eren has been kinda behaving like that.
Eren working so hard to reach Paths and finally freeing a victim like Ymir is / would be amazing, don’t get me wrong. He wants to change things regarding the word they live in, the one forged by people like that disgusting King. In this chapter Eren said he would end the world after the King’s speech about the power of the Titans ruling forever, and hence ending Ymir’s and the essence of Eldians being enslaved forever, and that fight is valid. However, I’m gonna quote something I already said last month after replying an ask for chapter 121:
For about a couple of years we’ve been denied Eren’s POV and his actions have been turning more and more confusing for both other characters and us, readers. We’re finally getting some answers and exposition, but we still don’t know what exactly his plan is. Is it something as straight-forward and extreme as the rumbling? Is it something more complex but still as terrifying as that? Is it a mix of things? Is it something we haven’t even really thought about yet?
All I know is that the rest of the world wants Eldians dead and gone for good, and that Eren doesn’t want that. Does he, in exchange, wants the rest of the world gone for good? We still have to see. If by stopping the genocide of his people he genocides the rest of the humans that aren’t “his people”… then lmao. I love Eren but his “if other people are going to steal my freedom, I’m going to steal theirs” doesn’t rub me the right way atm, because honestly, what’s the point of freedom if you just go and steal other people’s freedom? How does that make you any better or different than the ones that steal or try to steal your own freedom? Nelson Mandela once said “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”
I’ve always rooted for Eren as a character and for his fighting for freedom, simply because it’s beautiful to fight for a basic right. Oppression must be fighted and never accepted, so I’d certainly feel upset if he for real just goes ahead and finally, and completely, disposes of anyone that doesn’t think like him or that isn’t a Walldian.
*
Now, at the end of chapter 122 we see the Wall Titans were finally released. The walls are no longer standing. I’ve always thought that the Walls shouldn’t remain forever because of what they symbolize in more than one way, so I’m glad they basically won’t longer exist... Though at the same time, if Eren means to literally end the world using the Wall Titans - with the Full Rumbling™ and all - then he would be no different to others, or Zeke.
However, it’s important to notice that he said “that’s it” after the King’s speech about the Titans ruling the world, so if he intended to use the Rumbling against the whole world then he would basically do what that King wanted: the world being helpless against the power of the Titans. The world would be meeting its own end dominated, destroyed and crushed by the Titans, making their power indeed the ultimate ruler. It will obviously also send the wrong message and will contradict what Eren just said to Ymir: she’s just a human being. Ymir is a human being just like the other Eldians and the rest of people in the planet. If being a human is valid enough and we all have a choice, then why should humanity be invalidated and swiped out by such a strong force without further question?
I’m here considering the times Eren has preached and not practiced and, even though I have faith in him and his love for his friends (he still loves them even if he’s behaved like a lil bitch towards them), I’m almost prepared to keep on hurting because of his actions and wanting to bitchslap him for it. I’m sure Carla would.
Oh, and Eren is my fave SnK character regardless of what he does. Loving him as a character doesn’t mean I approve or get behind all his actions and words.

Tangled Finale Pros and Cons
What I personally loved and didn’t love in the finale. Overall I enjoyed the end though. Amazing series! Highly recommend it if you like Tangled the movie at all or even if you didn’t! Spoilers ahead obviously.
Pros
Great parallels to the Tangled movie the whole time
Cool fight scenes all the way through
Visually stunning
Good job building tension throughout, especially with scenes involving the Brotherhood
Loved the flashback of Zhan Tiri getting sent away
Everyone got a little moment which was very nice
Varian stopping his dad. Genius. So well done. You think he won’t but then he does. He’s a smart boy and he’s come far
Eugene and his dad were so good! Eugene is just a big legend I felt for him but also still chuckled at his quips for his whole fight scene
MAX FIGHTING. AN ICON
Rapunzel fighting Cass full out. Like...no matter how much you love a friend, if she’s trying to kill you, you have every right to fight it out
Zhan Tiri’s true form was cool
I’m glad it was Cass who came to the realization that this wasn’t the way to assert her freedom on her own. We’ve already seen Raps try over and over, it’d be weird if it just suddenly worked. Raps let Cass know she was there for her if she decided to come back, that’s all and that’s enough
Really nice moments between Cass and Rapunzel. Tbh, nice dramatic moments between everyone. They aren’t afraid to use silence and stillness to convey emotion. You can really feel it
Rapunzel cutting her own hair to save her kingdom was awesome
Rapunzel wielding the final magic in the sundrop/moonstone to save her kingdom was AWESOME
OT3 lives. Rapunzel has TWO hands. TWO partners. TWO loves
Great endings for everyone. These endings are what I personally thought would be ideal with how they’ve built everything up so I am happy. I’ve talked extensively about my satisfaction with Cassandra’s ending. Honestly? Lance’s end is my fave though!
Proposal!!!!!!
Cons
Since when is the sundrop a physical thing on Rapunzel’s dress? Totally random
Adira and Hector were kinda thrown in there. Wish they got more plot this season but whatever I guess...
A very fast turn from Cass. I knew it would be but still. She was fully ready to do what Zhan Tiri did in the end and become an all powerful threat to Corona. She didn’t care if it killed Rapunzelor anyone else. But the very moment she couldn’t it was a sudden “Yikes...whoops. Sorry.” I know she was in turmoil the whole time but they could’ve shown that instability more. And I know it was the final wake up call she needed but still it just seemed kinda wild
I also wish Rapunzel was more like “You’ve hurt me a lot Cass. I know you know that. But I’ll always be there for you. We have a lot to work out, but we’ll get there.”. It’d be more realistic to the pain they’ve caused each other. Forgiveness takes time, even if they do accept each other and know they’ll work it out. They’ve done this in the past, why not now?
How did Cass knock out Zhan Tiri in one blow?
How did Cass die after defeating Zhan Tiri?? The blast didn’t kill anyone else, the decay spell hadn’t been shown to impact her. We could theorize reasons but overall it’s a plot hole.
I usually really like when Cass/Raps parallel Eugene/Raps bc I ship them both a lot lol. But the tear thing was weirdly on the nose and didn’t make a lot of sense due to the dying thing above. I like parallels, but I also like the relationships to be kept unique. It did take away slightly from the Tangled moment. I don’t mind that they did it, I like that they showed us how deep the love goes, but they could’ve done it differently. Mixed feelings.
I really really wish the Captain of the Guard got to play a bigger role. One of Cassandra’s main issues was her wanting the love of a “parent” who never cared about her. Cap has always cared even though he made mistakes, and they built it up like he was ready to change if she just let him in. And then he only appears at the end?
Related to that...I don’t like the Gothel angle. I don’t like how invested Cass is in Gothel for no reason. I don’t like that she blames Rapunzel for her abandonment or that she pokes at Raps’ abuse. BUT...then to not mention that at all in the finale?? Not even like “I wanted the love of someone I never knew and that’s wrong but I can’t let go” or “It just hurts to know I’ve been pushed aside even by the one person who was supposed to love me unconditionally” or from Raps “That’s not my fault and it’s not yours either.” or “You don’t need that love. You have love here in Corona.”. Idk, there are many ways they could have solved it and they tried to in Tale of Two Sisters but many things were left unsaid
I still lowkey felt the vibe of “just keep loving those who hurt you and eventually they’ll be good again” which is my biggest issue with the Moonsandra plot. I know that wasn’t the idea but I wish then they made it a bit more clear that Raps’ persistence didn’t magically save Cass. They did okay at that, better than I thought they would, but still. Like if you’re in any relationship where it used to be very close but now they’re like “Get away from me, I don’t want to be friends anymore. If you try to reach out to me, I will get physically violent with you and other loved ones” then, uh, leave! Rapunzel shouldn’t be expected to reach out to someone who doesn’t want to be. While her support and forgiveness and heart should be complimented/rewarded in the series, her blind devotion to someone who is hurting her should not be!
I have more to say about the cons but honestly I really enjoyed it overall. I was worried because we were in a tricky spot entering the finale but they did a good job with it. Overall I am happy with the ending and proud of the show for really proving itself to be one of the best cartoons ever. And honestly? Maybe one of the best shows I’ve seen in a very long time. It’s shown itself to be above and beyond Tangled. It takes the amazing story and characters and adds a whole other level. To me, Tangled is the prequel to the amazing main story that is Tangled the Series. Thanks to everyone who made the show so enjoyable!
