RWBY Ships

After getting to talk about my favorite characters from RWBY, I thought I talk about my favorite ships.

Of course, there are many that I ship, but these are just my top faves.

Alright Than.

1.  Rosegarden (” Love Blooms Anywhere”)

When I finally got around to watching RWBY for the first time, Volume 4 had just come out, and I told myself that this character was quite fascinating.

But where Rosegarden comes in, I didn’t ship them until Volume 7, where it became clear that they both hold each other as friends, and that they both had a foot in the same mess.

Either way I like them both as friends and romantic partners, so even if this ship doesn’t happen, I will enjoy their interactions either way.

2. Spiced Ice-cream (” Two is still better than One”)

Now the fact that I spent years watching this show, and that even though there is little interaction to even think of this pairing as romantic, you can clearly tell from Volume 9, that these two were in love.

I think that is great. The thing about shipping is that its free, and these two live rent-free in my head, the criminals.

Their dynamic of being partners, was the best thing to come out of their introduction, and the fact that Neo spent so long trying to find clarification for his death.

And of course, after being freed from the Cat, Neo decided to have a final talk with Roman and she settles for finding her own way home, while Ruby understands this, and thus brings the end to this ship.

But who says that fate can’t bring together again.

(And because I can just write a reincarnation fic, when I have the courage.)

To the next ship.

3. Emercury (” Our feelings aren’t illusions.”)

Love comes in many forms, and I believe the form of love you get here, is someone trying to reach the other, and yet each want to take their own path.

And the other person questions, but still respects that they have those opinions.

Emerald as a character is great, and even with a rushed redemption, I still loved what she brought to the table, both good and bad.

Mercury on one hand is starved dog who has to fight for his scraps, but on a sadder note, is the same as Cinder in a way. An abused soul who never tries to step out of line (Unless it is to finally get the chance to murder.)

The thing is those they grew off of each other, and I think that shows as they work together throughout the show.

At first they didn’t want to work together, and Emerald thought that he was taking her place next to Cinder, but as time grew on, they both got use to the other and formed this friendship.

Than when they thought that they both were standing together, Salem changes the pieces on her chess board and pushes Mercury to Vacuo with Tyrian, who tells them that the world is indeed being brought to an end.

Still the two part ways on emotional goodbyes.

Not even needing words to explain themselves to the other.

Until they meet again, I guess.

While there still some time, I have to move forward.

4. Whiteknight (” Not all princesses need a knight in shining Armor”)

Jaune and Weiss are two minor favorites of mine, but for different reasons.

I like that Wiess is a character that grows from flaws and reaches to high heights by seeing that family can come from those that aren’t your blood.

While Jaune is because he has a heart of gold that gets beaten and melted, and his emotions get racked through the dirt as he tries to make things better, not just for himself but for others.

These two had a long history together, but after they worked together, and each worked through their issues, you could see that their original opinion towards the other changed.

And if this ship did happen, then well, wouldn’t that be nice.

Now to the final message, each of these ships are of everyone's opinion, and I’m always open to hear it.

Characters: ruby, weiss, Blake, yang.

Ruby:

She met you when she passed the fountain at beacon, you were just hiding there as some bullies (Cardin and his lackeys) that were picking on you and fled to the fountain as fast as you could.

She had shown her friends and sister you, they all loved you as you were still a child and would need guidance so they all took care of you but ruby is the one who took the title of ‘mom’ to you.

You helped ruby confess to Weiss and so both become your mothers while you helped yang and Blake get together, they all called you the little matchmaker as you helped them get in a relationship with the one they love.

They all begged glynda and professor ozpin to keep you, glynda was against it but ozpin thought it would teach them responsibility and on how to take care of any children who’re in danger or lost from their parents.

Ruby would sneak you and her some cookies when you two weren’t supposed top have any yet which brought you two to a sugar rush that wiess had to deal with until it wears off.

You and ruby are spoiled by Weiss when she uses the card that was given to her from her father which all of team rwby and you hate. Tai adores you and thinks of you as his granddaughter even though he thinks that ruby is a bit young to take care of a child at the age she is plus with how she and her teammates, your mother and aunts, are huntresses as well.

You were a bit afraid of zwei but soon learns that he wouldn’t hurt you as he protected you from Cardin until your mothers and aunts came to teach him a leases on. You also met team jnpr who all thought you were adorable.

Weiss:

Weiss had found you knew her family estate before she went to beacon and had taken you with her without anyone but her family butler; Klein, know about you which he found was sweet of her and made sure to keep this secrecy of hers from her father as he is the big issue here more so than her mother and siblings.

Ozpin had let you stay with her as long as she and her team that was deformed after coming to beacon can look after you and take responsibilities for you.

Ruby loved you and thought you were the most adorable child she had ever seen, yang as well as her sister also loves you the same and had soon become the self-proclaimed aunt for you, Blake was worried for you considering weiss family neglecting faunas alike with force labor but soon seen that weiss takes good care of you and also became your aunt soon after.

You helped the group get together; ruby and weiss, yang and blake, which made you the matchmaker of the small little family.

Jnpr soon mat you after jaune saw you with weiss, he didn’t know that ruby and weiss was together as the two wanted to get used to the new relationship plus weiss father would have a fit and she doesn’t want that to stress her and you and with the fact her father still doesn’t know about you yet, jaune started trying to flirt with Wei’s before you spoke before she could and said she was already in a relationship with ruby which shocked and sadden him but he understood and left.

When winter met your it was when she came to visit weiss along with because of the festival happening at beacon for future hunters and hutresses. She was shocked that weiss would have a child with her but was soon explained the whole story and understood quickly and became a aunt figure to you as well.

Weeiss had bought a wheelchair for you which alerted her father but she gave an excuse that a friend of hers needed it and it doesn’t cost that much (it does but not for her family) and so he rwhole family know of this wheelchair friend of their daughter/sister, minus Klein and winter and was now wondering who you were. If Cardin ever picked on you, he now wished he hadn’t as he was soon in a nightmare of a time that he would never forget even if he wanted to.

Yang:

Yang had found you while she was out on here motorcycle, you were getting bullied by some thugs sand she took care of them for you and decided to show you to her friends and sister.

Ruby self-proclaimed herself as the aunt and made her girlfriend the aunt as well. Blake, yang’s girlfriend became your second mother which was a bit nerve reason as you thought she might think of you as lunch like a regular cat would with regular fish but that soon changed fast as she and yang protected you from Cardin who was bullying you and the other Faunus which made the two mothers angry and taught him a lesson.

Blake helped educate you on Faunus history while yang taught you how to be street smart, weiss teaches you on the economy and human history while ruby how to use the puppy dog eyes with zwei.

Ozpin had let yang take you in as you two already grown attached to each other and cause you had no known parents or relatives to take you in and cause it might help with Yang personality and teach her and the rest of team rwby about responsibility along with how to take care of the lost children that might come up on their missions as soon to be huntresses.

Tai and Blake’s parents all love you, you soon became their granddaughter and brought the two families together which helps everyone out as weiss made sure to secretly help the Faunus out with the knowledge that Blake’s family and herself has plus the help of her team now every Faunus with get a brighter future with the help of all of team rwby.

Jnpr met you soon after you officially became the child of yang and blake when they got together and now they’re help of babysitting, though mostly Pyrrha and ren was the one that helped took care of you while jaune and Nora played games with you and of course Pyrrha and ren joined as you had insisted all of you to play.

Yang will protect you from anyone that poses a threat to you and her friends, and sister as long as you stick beside her.

Blake:

Blake’s family was a close friends of your family, so when all but you passed because of some humans that still hated the Faunus killed them while you were visiting the belladonna family, it was only right for them to take you in, though blake said that she would like to adopt you as her daughter which was fine with her parents as they know that she is responsible enough to keep you safe.

She took you with her to beacon as she had gotten the permission from ozpin that she can as long as you stay at the dorms and she along with her team make sure to take care of you.

You helped with any problems she had and helped the team get along and all of you look out for each other and make sure you’re safe from Cardin and anybody that thought that it was a good idea to bully you.

Blake tries to not eat fish around you as that might freak you and make you scared of her but when someone does it on purpose then she will raise hell on that person and anybody who joined in.

You had helped yang and blake get together as well as ruby and weiss which gave you the title as you had somehow got other people together though blake make sure that you don’t overwhelm yourself.

Tai also loved you and made sure to teach you some things he would think you need to know while qrow somewhat stayed at a distance with you but still came in with some life advise just in case you might need it in the future same with tai but it was mostly qrow’s advise that sticker with you.

Jnpr were the go to babysitter for you if they aren’t on a mission for when rwby is about to go on a mission, if team jnpr are on a mission the uncle sun and neptune which was always fun but ends in a scolding for them and a quick check up for you.

How I Think Episode 5 Will Play Out

I think we'll see Jaune this episode hunting RWBY down via orders of the Red Prince.

Return fight of Yang x Jabberwalker.

More of Neo

And RWBY going to the market and the Caterpillar.

When the first thing shown in episode 4 was this piece that looked like a broken bloodied sword. I immediately thought this was foreshadowing that we're going to see Jaune this episode or the next. We didn't see him in 4, but after being offended the Red Prince sends the Rusted Knight after the girls. Who they will meet in episode 5 at the Lilypad night market.

This is the first episode we get not starting out with at least one of the girls on screen. It will start with the Red Prince sending his guards and Rusted Knight after RWBY.

Or it will continue with where the story last cut off with Neo and the Jabberwalker. Maybe the first part of the episode will focus on both before the question comes up where is Ruby and co?

Then cut to where the girls are at:

We are barely able to see that the girls are still tiny, and Ruby is now following the Curious Cat to this casino esque Lilypad Night Market. Now I don't know if this is where we will first see the girls.

There might be a discussion about returning Wiess and Bees back into their normal size. To which the cat will lead them to the Caterpillar in the mushroom forest.

First, they will have to go through the market, which is right before entering the forest. Either they are going there to look for Crescent Rose, an important item, and/or to restock on supplies they have been shown to be low on.

We know this place is the Lilypad because the pillar holding the pads up are the same along with the roof being part of the pad. The background also shows the forest and glowing plants and shrooms.

(Another interesting detail is that some of the stall's signs show the tree. I highlighted em with green dots.)

The Blacksmith with have her stall set up here:

The opening makes it appear she's set up in the night market, we see the plants akin to the mushroom biome, we may even see Jinxy again. (Could set the Rusted Knight after Rwby for ruining his auction)

Now here is an opportunity for Ruby to gain a new weapon. But chances of seeing another one of Penny's swords is highly likely. Turning up, as someone coined it, "a bad penny" Which could cause an outburst from Ruby if someone tried to forge a new weapon of what she has left of her friend. Ruby could be the one to cause a scene to gain the attention of the Jabberwalker and/or the Rusted Knight. (I'm unsure who We'll see first.)

Let's say they meet the Jabberwalker first.

The sky is the same as the markets and we can see a sign in the background, but I am just realizing Yang is not bite sized. . . .

However, another thing I noticed is that in this shot the Jabberwalker has some pink glimmers around him. Could be Neo using their likeness after meeting them at the end of episode 4. That or she managed to get them on her side via violence or shared dislike towards Ruby. Leaning more towards this being a shadow clone. (Maybe rwby return to the market after changing back.) Ruby causing a scene is a great way to grab Neo's attention.

I thought perhaps Ruby making a scene or Yang fighting Jabby would draw Rusted Knights attention and that would be when we see him gallop into frame:

Because the Jackalope is running through the market. We see the stalls with food and glowing plants in the background.

Interesting detail is that the ground is dirt here like the scene with the JubJub? bird? The Knight could be chasing the bird and RWBY just gets a glance at him and not even realize its him. The Knight could be looking for them as well.

They seem to be running in the forest in the opening and in the trailer. Either from the knight and/or the Jabberwalker.

Ruby appears to be running, WBY is still little and in her hood, and the Curious Cat follows close behind in the trees.

But then:

a pile of leaves blocks their path, and they meet the Caterpiller.

Who leads them to his house. Wby is still small. I believe the Caterpillar is gonna be the key to giving them their size back as a nod to the one in Alice and Wonderland. Here he will give them advice, most likely focusing on Ruby. As I theorized before he will also play a key role in Wiess development this volume as well. (Due to a caterpillar being present in Wiess V3 training sesh with Winter)

The episode will end when they get to the place in the picture above. Episode 6 will focus on what advice/drugs he gives our heroines and where they go from there.

Soon given the recent asks is wiess slowly coming around to jaune. I honestly don't know if your setting her up to be the fourth girl that likes jaune or just trying to set them up be actual friends abit with some awkwardness on their part. (also please don't make yang the fifth Nothin against dragonslayer but there's alot of girls already since you kinda flip flop on whether Reese likes jaune or not too )

Oh yeah no worries, I have a hard limit for myself for number of Jaune love interests for each year. I understand the pitfalls of too much shipping when in the end, these stories are not going to even be really about that. There's going to be some girls and boys throughout the story that are either going to just lose interest, become good friends, or even successfully start a relationship with Jaune but it just doesn't work out. That'll free up some more space for any other potential romantic or even just a sexual flings for Jaune to explore.

As for Whiteknight, I don't really intend to explore a romantic relationship between them within this series outside of one sided crushes. Nothing personal against it, it's a sweet pairing and I read a whiteknight fic here and there. But the thing is, it's done plenty of times over. There's always at least one fan art of it on the reddit boards, and as of posting this, there are currently nearly 200 stories with Jaune x Weiss Pairing in it on fanfic.net alone. So if you're hoping to see some concrete White Knight material within this AU, there is plenty of other options out there, you can't take a step through the RWBY Fandom without tripping over this ship it's already so popular.

Lastly as for how I'm handling lore and character relationships within this blog should be taken with a grain of salt. When I start posting the main story very soon on fanfic.net, it's going to be obvious that there are some differences here and there between how the story turns out, and what I actually post here on Tumblr. A good chunk of things on this Tumblr should be considered VERY LOOSELY Canon, these posts are not engravings in stone. They're just my honest thoughts on questions and possible situations the characters could find themselves in, and pretty much me bouncing ideas for smaller details within the main story off you guys which I DEEPLY appreciate. You all have no idea how much help you have all been in helping organize my thoughts.

So I'm Penny x Jaune trash, and was wondering if you do a Penny x Jaune thing. Penny brags to Weiss about how hot and steamy their sex life is because Weiss was a bitch to Jaune, and Weiss kinda likes Jaune, but the dork in question has moved on and friend zoned Weiss.

Ya know, I have no clue what Jaune x Penny’s ship name would be, but either way here we go!

“Friend Wiess!”

Weiss looked behind her and saw a joyful Penny walking up to her. “Oh, hello Penny. How are you doing today?”

Penny smiled happily as she hopped up and down a little bit in place. “I am doing quite exemplary this day! Thank you for asking! I hope you are having a fine day as well.”

Weiss nodded. “It has been quite pleasant so far. What are you up to now?”

“Oh! I was looking for you Friend Weiss!”

“For me?” Penny answered with a quick, happy nod. “Did you need me for something?”

“Not exactly. I was simply hoping to express my gratitude to you!”

“Your... gratitude?” Another happy nod came from her. “May I ask what for?”

With a completely genuine smile, Penny replied, “For turning down Boyfriend Jaune’s advances towards you so frequently.”

Whatever Weiss could have thought Penny would say, that was never even a consideration. Her face instantly shifted from pale to pink and she shrieked out, “W-w-what!?”

Penny’s smile didn’t even twitch. “Boyfriend Jaune has explained to me how he held affection for you back when you both attended Beacon. He also informed me of how efficiently you rejected all of his attempts to earn yours.” If Weiss wasn’t so absolutely caught off guard, she might have heard the slight aggressiveness Penny’s tone had taken when she said the word ‘efficiently’. “Because you declined his advances to earn your affection, he was able to become my significant other! So thank you Friend Weiss!”

Weiss, along with a small group of Atlas students, stared at the perky girl stunned. Weiss stuttered, trying to form words for several seconds. “W-w-well... Y-you’re welcome I-I suppose.” Weiss tried to keep her voice even, and not let her disappointment and regret show. It was hard for her to watch how quickly Jaune and Penny started to date right after they reached Atlas. It made her feel bad with how much (and how harshly sometimes) she rejected him years ago. She had actually been meaning to talk about that with him since they were in Argus, but it was too late it seems. “I-I am glad you two could connect with each other. I hope you are b-both h-happy together.”

“Oh I am exceptionally happy! Boyfriend Jaune is an outstanding boyfriend! He is very courteous and sweet! Our dates are very fun and I look forward to each one!”

“W-well that’s great Penn-”

"He also makes sure to use all of my sexual additions to their fullest potential!”

Weiss’s whole being seemed to crack after Penny interrupted her with that bombshell. “W-what!?!”

“Oh, I was referring to Boyfriend Jaune and I’s sexual activities! He constantly pleasures me to the point where I almost break. It was a bit difficult for me to take his entire penis at first given it’s above average size, but now I can take the entirety of his penis with ease! It is simply just a wonderful feeling when he’s inside me!

Everyone present stared at her, stunned by the girl’s bluntness. Weiss’s mouth opened and closed like a fish, but no words came out. How could she respond to that!?

Thankfully Penny continued, so Weiss’s shocked silence could continue. “We have recently just started exploring sexual activities known as ‘fetishes’. I have discovered that I am quite a fan of aggressive felatio and being ‘dominated’, and Boyfriend Jaune is very eager to fulfill those ‘fetishes’ of mine.”

Penny said all of this with a sincere smile on her face. it was almost like she had no idea what kind of things she was saying to Weiss, or the crowds of students around them now. However, that wasn’t the case at all.

Penny knew exactly what she was telling them. She planned for this after all.

“So thank you once again Friend Weiss! It is nice that my Boyfriend Jaune has a friend like you! I must go now though. I am meeting Boyfriend Jaune in a few minutes for another date soon. Farewell!” Without another word, Penny turned around and skipped away back down the hall, completely unaware of the utter disbelief and devastation she had just dropped on all the people she left behind standing in the hallway, especially the Schnee Heiress.

RWBY Volume 7 episodes 1-7 review

There’s a lot to love about it! So far we have:

- Penny

- “I’m not happy” *tail wags*

- 6 feet tall people hot damn

- Nora trying to escape handcuffs by biting them

- new hair, new outfits?!?

Blake’s hair? No, Ruby and Wiess’s are good, and jury’s still out on Jaune. Everyone else’s is okay.

- *upgrade from bmc starts playing*

- at first I was like “not enough ReNora!”... then

- ReNora

- Ruby has a choker

- So Ruby defies gravity with her power, splits in three... I think she’s going to level up into a teleporter

- elf lady

- “Thunder Thighs”

- screw u Shnee dad

- Penny

- “pull my finger” but it’s Yang’s entire arm

- no one can pronounce Jaune’s name

- intro scene poke battle between winter/Weiss and the shnee dudes

- Ruby now has Suga hair

- nyan cat

- lie detector politician w/ sheep gf

- bumblebee (Blake x Yang) is basically canon

And, arguably most important: They’re giving Qrow a bf. I think? Basically he’s got a good luck semblance and winks and complements him and Qrow acts like a blushing schoolgirl and I’M SO HERE FOR IT
