Could you share more on your thoughts about Vampire!Florelia??
YES OF COURSE
god dude i have SO many thoughts about vampire florelia but the one sort of au i keep thinking of is the whole "one of them is turned into a vampire first and now they have to deal with their lover aging without them oh no". it's so juicy,,,
cause obviously sappy florelia thoughts make me go "well both of them would be okay with turning into a vampire for the other", however!!! i just love the initial angst of it yknow,,, what if the first one to turn hides this from the others because they're scared,,, vampires aren't exactly treated as Good in the winx universe yknow? what if they're scared of turning evil? of hurting the others?? what if they run away instead???
the winx and specialists would naturally want to help them and i can see them looking for a way to reverse the vampirism, but what if they can't find anything? what if that person Does lose control and hurt someone?? THE ANGST POTENTIAL IS SO GOOD DUDE
i do also think about addams family vibes (a la morticia and gomez) vampire florelia too though,, no angst there just them being obsessed with each other <3
#see the thing is... both of them would immediately be on board for turning for the other#but also both of them would fully be aware of what life as a vampire would be like and they would want the other to think about it first#cause do you really think either of them would be Okay with seeing their friends and family all pass away...#BUT ALSO neither of them would want the other to have to deal with that alone#its just SO GOOOD!!!!#flora would be worried that helia just wants to turn for her and that he would end up regretting it#helia would be worried that flora wouldnt be able to handle seeing everyone else pass and age while she stays young#and sure we could definitely make this an everyone turns and lives together forever and theyre all happy au#but ough the angst.....#something about florelia sticking by each other no matter the hardships...#would sky turn into a vampire for bloom????? i don't think so.#adlkghlj#there is also the classic vampire trope of the vampire turns the human because they were dying or something#which like. yeah yeah but idk its not as juicy to me as them choosing it and the vampire being like. are you sure???#helia self hate moment: flora you'd have to live with me forever are you sure you want that???#flora heart eyes: yes <3#aldhgldhag#the sillies#answered#honestly if flora got turned first i have no doubt that if she asked the wi.nx theyd say yes too#of course they would!! thats their baby girl they can think about the consequences later#i do Not think the specialists would do that for helia ajdghl#maybe timmy... maybe even riven... but sky?? brandon??? hell no aldgl

m.list | comment and reblog if u enjoyed !
Tumblr media
you were waiting for your boyfriend to come back from sparring. katsuki gave you a spare key of his dorm for you to use whenever you needed. you were one of the privileged ones who he let into his personal space. you knew he was a private person and so you could not help but feel proud that he trusted you this way.
the door burst open and your delicate boyfriend entered. he heavily sighed and put his bag down on the floor. you sat up on his bed expectantly, waiting for him to give you attention. he turned around and saw you on his bed, which caused a gasp to escape his mouth... he was just not expecting you there.
"you scared the shit out of me dumbass, next time send a text instead of being on tik tok or whatever you do on that shitty phone", he walked over to you, kissed your forehead and stroke the back of your head with his hand. "I'll go take a shower, make yourself comfortable." he started walking towards his bathroom and right before getting in, he added : "not like you didn't already, you're a little invader I got some of your shit everywhere".
he would never admit it because, well, katsuki hates his feelings but he loves finding little pieces of you in his dorm room. scrunchies that smell like your shampoo, socks, skincare products or even left-over makeup. he cherished those items, each one of them reminded him of a memory he shared with you. the thought of you never failed to make him smile.
you heard the soft buzz of his phone in his bag and decided to take a look. you trust katsuki, he never made anything to make you doubt him and you knew he never would, he dates to marry. you were not expecting any other woman in his dms but Mina, and she has a girlfriend. but curiosity got the best of you and you wanted to see what was hidden in his phone. you first looked at the text he received, it was from Kirishima. "Denki is trying to make an impression of you looking at y/n bro and even Shoto is laughing 💀". Denki often made fun of Bakugo for being a "simp" and looking at you with "puppy eyes" which your boyfriend never ceases to deny. he did impressions of him so often that you could almost picture his act through the phone.
then you went to "notes", they were all locked but you were not surprised, your boyfriend is kind of paranoid sometimes... you tried to put your birthdate in the first one and it unlocked. "things i wish i could tell y/n", was written at the top. katsuki had troubles opening up and communicating with you because he feels weak for having feelings, you hesitated on reading its content. all things considered, you thought it would help you understand him better.
" - i love her, like the kind of love you see in movies. the one i thought didn't exist. like it's fucking stupid to write that shit in my notes but i need to get it out somehow.
- i think ill marry her if one day i get the balls to propose.
- i admire her patience, i can't help but think that going out with me is exhausting. i have a hard time controlling my emotions and i feel like she carries my brain at this point.
- i wish i could spend more time with her, but she probably needs personal space. i left her a key of my dorm, that's stupid too, but i like the idea of her spending time in my room because then it feels more of a home to me.
- i want her to feel like she's the most perfect girl I've ever met, because she is. but I care too much about people's opinion to do that. i am trying as hard as i can to be a good boyfriend but i never feel like it's enough. i don't show her off enough, i don't hold her enough, i don't talk about her enough because I'm scared shitless of falling in love and having it ruin the shell i took so long to build. and denki making fun of me for being a simp doesn't fucking help.
istg if anyone reads this I'll off myself"
you felt a bit guilty, it was more personal than you expected, and you swore not to EVER tell him about this, but it put your mind to rest. katsuki is not an easy boyfriend. he's not easy to comprehend but you love every part of him. you are willing to wait for however long it will take for him to tell you this face to face.
you heard the shower stop, you knew he would exit the bathroom any minute now, but there was one last app you wished to check, his Spotify. he had 2 playlists, his liked songs - 3 452 songs of various genres - put together in one same playlist. you sighed at how disorganized your boyfriend could be at times. and then, there was one with your name "y/n💌"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
your mouth was wide open and you felt like screaming. you won at life bro, your boyfriend had a playlist dedicated to YOU. your face still had the same expression when katsuki came out of the bathroom.
- "what's with the face dumbass ? you saw a ghost or something ? "
- "you have a playlist for me" you gave him a toothy smile, which he returned.
- "yeah it's whatever, when i like, take a shower or something. DON'T TELL ANYONE" he shouted as he sat beside you. "you didn't look at anything else, right ?", your heart clenched in your chest, you didn't want to embarrass him by admitting you read his note for you.
- "Denki just sent you a text" you smiled innocently. you took his hand into yours "Katsuki, I love you and you're enough okay. Don't ever doubt yourself, I chose you for a reason" you softly told him while stroking his cheek with your free hand.
- "I KNEW YOU READ IT YOU NOISY ASS. but I'm glad you did it was kind of... heavy on me." he sighed, paused for a moment, relaxing into your touch. "i really love you y/n, I don't say it enough but I really do. love scares the shit out of me. you have the power to destroy my heart and you know how much of a control freak i can be. I trust you with my weaknesses, don't use then against me... please"

"Y/n, look!" Axl shouted. I looked over to my side to see our daughter had taken a few steps. "Oh my god! Aww, I missed it," I sighed, my hormones getting the best of me. "I can get her to do it again. Don't worry," he replied, putting Flora back away from him.
I watched as she took a few wobbly steps before falling into Axl's arms. I cheered and clapped, making Flora do the same. My heart was full, my amazing husband and gorgeous daughter. And, our second baby, three weeks small in my stomach. I wasn't sure when to tell Axl but I know he'll be happy, our conversation at the beach replaying in my head.
"You okay, angel?" Axl asked, bringing Flora over to me. "Yeah, can I borrow Flora for a second?" I asked, putting my hands out for her. "Yeah, of course," he replied, handing her over. "Wait on the sofa," I said before running upstairs, making Flora giggle.
I went into my bedside draw and got the pregnancy test and baby grow that said, 'Big sister' on. I know it's cliché but I think it's adorable. I handed the test to Flora after dressing her in the grow and of course, had to stop her from shoving it in her mouth.
"Close your eyes," I cheered when we got to the living room door. "Ok," Axl laughed, covering his eyes. I placed Flora on the floor and let her walk over to Axl. "Open," I said.
He opened his eyes and looked confused before seeing the stick in Flora's hand. "Stop putting stuff in your mouth. Devil ba-" he stopped his sentence when he read the test. "What's this?" He said quietly. I just shrugged and pointed to Flora's baby grow.
It took a few seconds for it to click in his head then his face lit up and he squeezed Flora in a hug before putting her down and running up to me. He picked me up and spun me around, kissing all over my face. "Holy fuck. Really? Wait, really? Really?" He cried, tears flowing down his cheeks. "Yes! Im three weeks along," I replied, kissing him back.
"I fucking love you," he beamed, placing me back down and pick Flora up. We had a family hug, once again, hormones taking over me and making me cry. "Oh, honey, are you okay?" He asked. "I'm okay. I love you so much," I cried, squeezing them both.
My perfect little family.

Lovers Bloom|Lumine x fem reader
This is a wattpad fanfic i wrote awhile ago and I thought it’d be nice to post it here)
Also it’s a song fic (I think I used that correctly)
Oh, Hannah, I wanna feel you close
Oh, Hannah, come lie with my bones
Oh, Hannah, don't look away
Oh, Hannah, just look at me the same
You've lived in Mondstadt for the past 7 years. For the past 2 years you worked for Flora taking night shifts because Donna has social anxiety and Flora's 11. You liked the flowers they we nice and pretty you did wish that their was a wider selection though.
"Are you leaving now y/n?" Donna looked at your basket.
"Ah yes I thought I would have a picnic well I search for different plants. Donna please tell Flora that I will be able to make if for my shift."
"Oh of course y/n if you run into any trouble I'll try to handle it here!" Donna looked very nervous just at the thought.
You laughed "Well I shouldn't be that long. Still thank you."
"Ah. Bye y/n!" She waved her hand violently as you walked away.
You waved back.
I don't wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your lips (ooh-ooh-ooh)
I wanna kiss you until I lose my breath
I don't wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your lips (ooh-ooh-ooh)
I wanna kiss you until I lose my breath
'Maybe I should stop by Wolvendom and get some Wolfhooks. It would probably be good to get some dandelion seeds as well as some mushrooms, pinecones, sunsettias, and maybe some apples!
You walked to Wolvendom first. It's best to get their before it gets dark. You took out your gardening gloves for protection against the spikes. By the time you left you had a few hand fulls. The next task was going to Windrise. There were plenty of mushrooms, pinecones, sunsettias, and apples to pick on the way. You set up your blanket next to the water close to Vanessa's tree.
A girl crossed your mind. One who was your age who saved people and stood up for them when they couldn't. Like the rest of Mondstadt you adored the honorary knight. She was smart, strong, pretty, kind, and seemed all around like the perfect girlfriend!
When she wasn't a Mondstadt it was disappointing but you knew she wasn't tied to you. There was nothing keeping her in Mondstadt. When she was there though she came every 3 days for flowers. Sometimes she would just buy 1 or 2 kinds and other times she would just buy them all. She often came at night which filled your heart with joy and your stomach with butterflies.
Oh, Hannah, oh, Hannah, oh, Hannah, oh, Hannah
Oh, Hannah, tell me something nice
Like flowers and blue skies
"Uh. Y/n!" A familiar voice called.
"Oh hello there Paimon." You waved at her.
"Hey have you seen Lumine? Paimons been looking for a while but I can't find her!"
"Oh if your hungry I have some food just don't eat the fruits and mushrooms! I'll go look for the honorary knight well you relax." You stood up.
"Really! Paimon can have some!" There was almost stars in her eyes.
"Mhm. Goodbye Paimon."
"Byeeeeeeee~ Now its just you and me egg sandwich!<3"
-twelve minutes later-
'I wonder where Lumine is. I've been looking for a while...' You thought.
A sigh escaped your lips.
"Y/n?"
"AHH!"
"Sorry sorry calm down it's just me." Lumine puts her hands on your shoulders.
Oh, Hannah, I will follow you home
Although my lips are blue and I'm cold
I don't wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your lips (ooh-ooh-ooh)
"Ah. Hello Lumine!" Your face flushed red.
She removed her hands.
'Y/n y/n. You really don't know what you do to me...' Lumine thought.
"What are you doing here?" Lumine questioned.
"I was on a picnic when Paimon came over and said she couldn't find you."
"Please don't intrust Paimon with your food. Or anything important in that manner."
"Pfffftt-" you couldn't help but laugh you tired to put your hand over your mouth but it didn't work.
"Uh.. Um as a way to make up for that.." it was Lumine's turn to blush "would you like to accompany me to Good Hunter sometime before I leave?"
I wanna kiss you until I lose my breath (ooh-ooh-ooh)
"As friends or a da-date?" the panic caused you to stutter slightly.
I don't wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your lips (ooh-ooh-ooh)
What if she got bothered by you thinking it could be a date?!
I wanna kiss you until I lose my breath
Oh, Hannah, oh, Hannah, oh, Hannah, oh, Hannah
What if she was just being nice but wants you to say no?!
I wanna kiss you until I lose my breath
I don't wanna be your friend
But what if she actually liked you back?
I don't wanna be your friend, I wanna be your bitch
"..."
And I wanna touch you, but not like this
The look in your eyes
"I-"
My hands between your thighs
Oh, this can't be real
It's all just a dream
"I would really like this to be a date.." the honorary knight confessed.
I don't wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your lips (ooh-ooh-ooh)
'She said date.
Date
Date
DATE?!'
I wanna kiss you until I lose my breath (ooh-ooh-ooh)
"AH YES! I mean uh yes please. I would appreciate it greatly." You looked away how could you make eye contact at a time like this?!
I don't wanna be your friend
"When will you be leaving Lumine?"
Lose my breath (ooh-ooh-ooh)
"Hmm Good question."
I don't wanna be your friend
"Well not for a while now. Could I kiss you y/n?"
It was so sudden that you almost forgot how to breathe.
"yea.." you barely whispered.
A soft pair of lips meet yours.
"Not for a long while." She whispered as you both touched your foreheads together.
Lose my breath
-Extra-
"If she didn't confessed Lumine's paying for lunch for the next month! Paimon had to use their AMAZING acting to convince y/n to go find her!" A prideful food source yelled out as she finished off what was supposed to be y/n's lunch....
-Mondstadt-
"Y/n's not here so could you work instead Donna?" Flora asked with a yawn.
Donna had dreaded this outcome "Uh yes Flora."
"Thank you have a good night!" Flora skipped out of sight.
"Hello. I was wonderi-"
"AHHHHHHHHHH"
And that's how Donna never took a shift without someone else again.
I hope you liked this story!
Later hottie<3

Late Night Epiphanies
The voice in his head wouldn’t stop nagging him. So here he was, sitting awake in his own living room with a dog-eared book Flora had kindly given to him; “The Legend of Hyrule: The Eras’ Heroes”. Yet no matter how many times he read it, there was no mention of the Hero of Warriors, or any of the events he had told stories about over a campfire. The captain had to be a hero, the Master Sword and Triforce proved it, but why wasn’t he recorded? If Warriors wasn’t a hero, the Master Sword never would have recognized him; as soon as Sky had offered the blade to him, he had grabbed her hilt- it was rude to call her an ‘it’- the captain would have suffered a burn. But nothing ever happened. She had chimed, and Sky had welcomed the Hero of Warriors as their newest addition.
And a visible Triforce didn’t pinpoint any one of them as the hero either, Four and Wild were proof of that, neither bore the physical mark on the back of their dominant hand. The power of the Triforce of Courage flowed through them all- and whatever the Spirit of the Hero was. Legend rubbed the bridge of his nose with a quiet groan; why was this all so convoluted? He had been scouring this book for answers for hours, and if he looked out the window, he would see the pitch blackness that came with the midnight hours. Sleep had not been kind to him, floating in but never quite settling in. Reading had been his next option. Staring into the embers of the crackling fire in the hearth, he ran his fingers across the embossed title, tracing every letter and punctuation, thoughts running like a raging river.
Legend violently jumped as he felt a hand touch his shoulder, “Sweet Golden Goddess jubilee!” He slapped a hand over his now racing heart, whipping around to glare at the culprit; a giggling Ravio. “What do you want?” He slumped further into the armchair, bringing the book up to smack against his forehead, hiding his annoyed expression and small smile. The swishing sounds of fabric grew closer, “Well, Mr. Hero, you weren’t in any of your usual spots for when sleep evades you, so I tried my next best guess!” Legend dropped the book, raising his brow at the merchant; he still hadn’t answered his question. Ravio drew closer and perched himself on the arm of Legend’s seat, “What’re you reading?” Still avoiding his question then. He held the book up to the Lorulian, who slipped it out of his grip, turning the book this way and that as he scanned it over.
“‘The Legend of Hyrule: The Eras’ Heroes’?” Ravio let the book drop back into his lap, tilting his head to fix Legend with a look. He rolled his eyes, “I’ve been curious about something, and had hoped that it would provide me answers.” He removed it from Ravio’s lap and gently tossed it onto the table in slight frustration, “I don’t understand how Warriors can bear the Triforce, hold the Master Sword, and have tales of his adventure, but have none of it written in ink!” Legend slammed his palm against the arm of the chair, emphasizing his point and anger, but in the same moment it all melted out of him, leaving him to sigh and slump sideways into Ravio, who merely shifted to keep balance. The only noises filling the silence were the critters of the night and the popping embers, it seemed to stretch on for hours until Legend heard the intake of a breath.
“Remember that time I disappeared for a few months?” Not what he was expecting, “Yes?” Legend tilted his head up, trying to search the merchant’s face for anything, but the dark cloaked most of it. “I wasn’t in Lorule. Like with you and these portals, I was sucked through one into a new world- a new era, even. To be nice, I’ll spare the details, but there’s a reason I knew who Time, Warriors, and Wind were before they were ever introduced,” Ravio turned his head to look down at Legend. “That war he fought in? I was there with him. So were a young Time and an older Wind.” Legend blinked up at him, trying to comprehend everything Ravio had thrown at him. “He wasn’t the most well-liked with the whole war going on as- how do I say this- many of the people blamed him for the war starting, as well as blaming him for any casualties that occured. The rest is his to tell, but that may be why you see nothing about him in ink.” Legend smacked his forehead with his palm, groaning as it set in- that made so much sense. If, for some asinine reason, Warriors was that greatly disliked by his own people, of course there would be no record of him. They would never record a hero they had no reverence for. Even Legend himself didn’t have much about him documented, but it was more for the fact that most of his adventures happened overseas and across different worlds.
The squeaking laughter from Ravio made Legend drop his hand, glaring at the giggling Lorulian, who flapped a hand in the form of an apology, the other one stifling the noise. “I’m glad I make such good entertainment for you, Ravio.” His words only served to make the merchant laugh harder, hunching over to the side as his shoulders shook. It took a while for him to calm down, breathing out heavily to bring himself down, and bringing himself to center, leaning against the back of the chair. “How do I figure this out? I can’t ask him, even he seems to have no idea what is going on. What other books could I check?” Legend rocketed up in realization, startling Ravio and nearly making him topple off the arm. Another book. The book Wild had brought out a while back, the one with the pictures of the Deity of War, who looked eerily similar to their captain. Legend gasped. That’s it!
Legend shifted to be face-to-face with Ravio, grabbing him by the shoulders and excitedly shaking him, “Where did we put those books on gods, goddesses, and deities?” He stood from the chair, dragging a willing Ravio with him as the merchant directed him to the basement. They had some books to find.

Surprisingly, I made it! 🤓
So I imposed a rule to myself writing this ficlet, just to make sure I finish it on time: this ficlet has 6 parts, and in each part, I would have to write exactly 6 sentences. It's fun and challenging! I left out a lot of details, like allusions to Vlad's MC. If I didn't limit myself, I wouldn't finish this lol
Note: This ficlet is numbered and reverse chronological in order, with the last part occurring years into the future.
Glimpses of eternity
Ikemen Vampire | Vlad/Comte
5.
In the field of blood-red roses, Vlad stood in the middle, a silhouette against the setting sun.
"Vlad."
He turned, a forever-pure smile waiting on his lips. "Abel."
Le Comte closed his eyes, tried to smoothen the pinch of his brows.
"That name … it has been a long time."
4.
"Think about this again, Vlad."
"I already have, Comte, and my decision is still the same."
"Then I have to tell you that I won't abide by it."
"Ah – so that's it, then?"
A swallow, an exhale, shuttered. "Yes – that's it, then."
3.
In autumn, centuries later, they reunited amidst the dance of falling red leaves. Vlad's eyes were a shade redder, and pulled le Comte's gaze like the magnetic north.
"You are okay," le Comte breathed, and Vlad smiled.
"And you go by a title now."
"Yes."
They spent the whole night at an open cafe, talking and catching up, and Vlad's hand rested near the center of the table, inches away from le Comte's, warm and alive.
2.
He heard it from his parents, frantic whispers clinging to ornate walls, hushed with fear. Abel pressed up against the door, and his heart leapt off his body when Vlad's name left his parents' lips in distressful tones. He didn't think – his feet deciding on their own.
When he reached Vlad's home, it was a vacuum of deafening silence, only the lingering scent of blood from the melted snow remained. Abel searched and searched, but found no traces of the young boy with a pure smile.
Inside a giant closet: a strand of silver hair, buried under a pile of dust.
1.
Vlad's in the library again, stubby hands carefully gripping a hardbound book like it's a treasure. Today, it's an encyclopedia of Eastern flora.
"Ume," Vlad recited, the syllables foreign and round, like apricot. "Did you know that in the East they mean elegance and loyalty?"
He brought his bright red gaze to Abel, narrowed in mirth.
Abel's heart fluttered, like a loyal flower blossoming.
(
6.
When everything else has passed, they meet again – this time, at a museum somewhere in Asia.
"Abel," Vlad says, smiling as if he's elated to reunite with le Comte once again, as if they hadn't argued and separated and reunited and fought again, "it's good to see you."
Le Comte wants to say, After everything? but he hesitates, because in the end Vlad's smile has always been and will always be, forever, pure.
In the end, he says, "It's good to see you too, Vlad."
And Vlad glows so much that le Comte has to turn his head away, blinded from such radiance, always so pure, always so kind.
It has, after all, been that way for the last millennium, and it will continue to be so in the next.

Neteyam Sully X Fem Na’vi!OC
Masterlist
Word Count: 4K
Summary: Quaritch is back... 5 years after the battle between the Sky People and the Sully Family alongside the Metikayina Clan, the exact battle where Neteyam was almost taken by Eywa. Seeking revenge yet again on Jake Sully, Quaritch massacres an entire Na’vi Clan in the Snow Mountains of Pandora - sparing one young Na’vi girl’s life to send the great Toruk Makto a message.
Warnings: Mentions of Death, Angst, Fluff, Swearing, Fighting, Blood
Author’s Note: OOOOOOH PLOT TWIST AHEAD!! How are you guys finding this fit so far? feedback and reblogs are appreciated <3
Tumblr media
“Are you kidding me?” Kiri let out a snort at Herwìva’s denial. The snow Na’Vi was clearly not going to get past the mysterious girl who seemingly knew all. Ever since Herwìva had built up a good friendship with the eldest Sully daughter, it was as if she could see right through her icy skin with her large green eyes.
Herwìva huffed, not liking the feeling of being so exposed around despite knowing that Kiri was more than trustworthy. “There is nothing going on with your brother, Kiri.” Her cool hands felt along the blades of grass beneath her before looking at the older girl sitting beside her in the forest.
Tuk watched the two in anticipation, a hand clasped over her blue lips as she attempted to hold back a giggle, continuing to watch the scene unfold. Even the youngest Sully could see the changes in her oldest brother.
“So you’re telling me that when you and Neteyam came back with the tun syulang (red flower) for grandmother last week, absolutely nothing had happened to make you both suddenly act so chummy and affectionate with each other?” Kiri pressed; her brows raised teasingly.
“Come on, Wìva. You can tell us!” Tuk leaned in, resting her head on her bent knees as she curled her arms over her legs with a grin on her face.
“There is nothing to tell.” Herwìva laughed the sisters off, “he was just the first person to find me in the forest and helped me start a new life here. I will always be grateful for that. I care about your brother because he has cared for me. That is all…”
Herwìva was not one to give in to something easily when there was no promise of what the future held. She had learnt that the hard way. Everything could disappear from her grasp within mere minutes and that thought had plagued her ever since the Sky People massacred her village over a month ago. She was not going to give in to the assumptions that the two sister’s were making about her and their eldest brother when she wasn’t even sure of it herself.
It scared her. Growing close to Neteyam scared her. The thought of losing him or any of the friends she had made here scared her. The thought of losing her new home scared her. She resulted in trying to remain neutral and not pursue the deep rooted feelings she began to harbour for the strong, kind-hearted young man.
Yes, she found herself feeling a type of way for the attractive mighty warrior that she had never felt for anyone before and, yes, it seemed to be reciprocated by him. But there was still so much uncertainty that remained between them. She knew that they had established a close and comfortable relationship so far and she was okay with it remaining like that… for now at least. Therefore, she didn’t think there was much to tell. Whatever happened between her and Neteyam would stay between them. It wasn’t like they owed anyone an explanation for their slightly more-than-friendly relationship.
Flopping onto the grass, Kiri laid back becoming one with the flora that surrounded the trio. She hummed in amusement, “if you say so ma ‘eylan (my friend).”
A chuckle escaped Herwìva’s lips as she smiled at the two dark blue Na’Vi. “When, and if there is something to tell in the future, I will tell it.”
“You won’t need to when Eywa tells all first.” Kiri smirked lazily as she gazed up into the branches of the giant trees above.
Tuktirey suddenly shot up to her feet, preventing Herwìva from responding to the snarky comment. The younger girl’s ears were twitching inquisitively, and it startled her causing her blue orbs to widen. “Is everything okay, Tuktuk?”
“Did you guys hear that?” She frowned.
Naturally, Herwìva’s ears perked up as she focused on the sounds of her surroundings. Only the leaves swaying in the light breeze alongside chirps and hums of nearby fauna could be heard within the forest until Kiri opened her mouth again.
“It’s the Great Mother trying to tell us something.” She brushed off her baby sister heartily, moving her arms through the warm air as if she was touching something that could only be seen by her.
Tuk’s frown deepened whilst she crossed her arms in annoyance, tail whipping behind her. “Shut up, Kiri.”
Herwìva tried to hold back a small laugh.
A faint crunch of soil sounded in the distance. “There! There it is, again.” Tuk’s ears went flat against her head and one of her cheeks sunk into her face slightly as she gnawed on the inside of her mouth.
Herwìva pursed her lips at the noise. “I heard it too.”
Groaning, Kiri sat upright looking at the pair expectantly. Another light movement in the distance settled in the air and it soon turned into a repeated sound. It was as if it were footsteps.
Herwìva’s heart sunk, sensing that something was wrong. This was not the footsteps of another Na’Vi and it was certainly not the footsteps of a four or more-legged creature roaming the woods. “Who knows where we are right now?” She asked in a hushed tone as she shifted her position to a crouch with her tail swishing anxiously through the air.
“Only Mum and Dad.” Tuk whispered, a flash of fear behind her eyes.
The trio a flown out on Herwìva and Kiri’s Ikran to a secluded area an hour or so ago after their morning meal as the sisters wanted to show Herwìva around the forest some more as she still wasn’t entirely familiar with it yet. On days where Neteyam had duties to attend to, the sisters would usually - and happily - take the light blue girl under their wing and keep her company with a range of Omatikayan activities.
The noise picked up in pace and Herwìva’s instincts kicked in as her heart began to beat rapidly against her ribcage. “We should go back to the village.”
Kiri’s ears quickly twitched at the oncoming sound, the patter of feet not coming to a slow, and she inhaled deeply. A sense of familiarity and nostalgia washed over her features making Herwìva eye her suspiciously. “What is it Kiri?”
The older girl gulped, frantically looking around. Suddenly becoming overwhelmed and saddened, she was struggling to formulate a sentence. “I- I recogn- it- it sounds like-”
It all happened so quickly. A screamed erupted through the air. A blade was against young Tuktirey’s neck. And a human boy behind her, holding it.
Unable to register what was going on, Kiri froze as she looked at the matured face of the boy she had not seen in 5 years.
Panic and fury consumed Herwìva at the sight of the human behind Tuk, the sharp dagger against her small throat was glinting in the daylight and she didn’t hesitate to reach for the knives strapped to her thighs.
The young girl squealed and struggled against his hold.
This scenario was all to familiar to Herwìva as her heart pounded so hard it felt like it was going to jump out of her throat. She had already lost her own baby sister this way and she would give herself to Eywa before she left it happen to her friend.
The human had long, dirty blonde dreadlocks and was wearing a dirtied loincloth whilst his pale skin was covered in blue paint resembling the stripes on the skin of the Omatikaya people. Bewilderment crossed her features for a second before she was baring her fangs, hissing angrily at him.
Kiri choked out a shocked and heartbroken sob, her voice cracking as she knelt before the human who roughly threatened her sister, locking eyes with him. “Sp- Spider?!”
“Kiri.” He smirked dangerously and Tuk let out a cry, her small body struggling against the human’s own similar sized body.
They know each other? Herwìva growled, more confused than ever and a wave of nausea washed over her whilst her eyes flickered between the human who had Tuktirey’s life in his hands and Kiri who looked sickeningly distraught.
“Spider,” the older sister pleaded, “How are you here? Why are you doing this?”
Whilst the human was more distracted by Kiri, Herwìva did not waste another second before lurching forward in a flash and dragging her knives along the human’s legs, effectively making his legs buckle in pain as he yelled out in shock and loosened his grip on the youngest Sully.
Herwìva grasped Tuk’s shaking arms, pulling her away from Spider in an instant and pushed her over to Kiri to get her out of the human’s reach. She quickly turned her focus back onto the kneeling human and balled her fists up, landing a punch right on the human’s nose whilst his hands were reaching for the fresh wounds on his legs.
He stumbled backwards and groaned, blood oozing from the cuts on his calves and thigh alongside the damage to his face. Loosing balance, he fell onto his back as he tried to swipe at Herwìva with the dagger in his hand – landing a delicate cut which ran along her shoulder and the crook of her neck. She hissed out at the sharp sting it left before slashing at him again, causing more blood to begin oozing from his abdomen.
“Cold, bitch ass skxawng!” He seethed.
Shouting out to the two weeping girls behind her, her expression was filled with rage as she stared down at the boy laying on the ground beneath her. “GO! GET JAKE!”
The human chuckled darkly as he withered in pain under her strong hold. “Yeah, get Daddy!”
Herwìva angrily twisted her knives after pinning the boy’s arms down with her legs and landed two hard blows with the blunt ends of each iced knife to either side of his head. His eyes snapped shut at the contact and soon relaxed after, his body falling slack under her.
“GO NOW!” She screamed, turning to the two sister’s who held onto each other for dear life. Kiri was still choking back sobs in shock whilst Tuk wept into her shoulder before she whistled out for her ikran.
---
“Again.” Jake demanded, not even allowing Neteyam to breathe before swinging his large blue fist at his firstborn son’s face.
The younger man held his palm out flat, defending himself and redirecting his father’s punch to the side.
Grunting, Jake swung his fist again and Neteyam repeated his previous action. “Well done, son. Let’s take five.”
“Thank you, sir.” He panted before wiping the sweat off his forehead with a nearby cloth. He swung it over his shoulder and sat down on a bench where a few other warriors were resting between sparring. Today was hand-to-hand combat training day. A day which Neteyam found tiresome and long and left his body aching unnecessarily for the entire day after. However, he knew it was necessary to stay on top of his combat skills… especially now the Sky People were back.
A light tap on his muscular shoulder, gained Neteyam’s attention and took him away from his train of thoughts. Zi’awmey stood in front of him with a grin
5. He was one of the best warriors within the clan and he was just a couple of years older than Neteyam. The two young men trained together often usually hung out together with a group of other warrior’s around their ages.
“Hey Zi’awmey.” Neteyam greeted the older boy with a nod before sipping on a smooth wooden cup filled with water.
“Neteyam.” He nodded back, taking a seat beside the younger boy. “How are you, bro? How’s miss snow doing?”
He was also known for being a huge ladies’ man. Neteyam refrained from rolling his eyes at the last question knowing that the warrior’s intent was far from wholesome. Ever since Herwìva arrived in the village she had many eyes watching her and it was something that Neteyam found unsettling. A pair of the many eyes belonging to Zi’awmey.
“All good, thanks Zi.” Neteyam forced a smile. “Herwìva’s good too. She’s out with Kiri and Tuk today.”
The older warrior tilted his head in confusion, diverting his eyes towards the other side of the hut where the Olo’eyktan stood – a mix of rage and concern evident on his face as he listened to his two distressed daughters. “Then why isn’t she with them right now?”
“What do you mean?” Neteyam’s forehead creased, following the warriors gaze over to his father and sisters. He frowned upon noticing the absence of the person he woke up thinking about every day since meeting her. Where was Herwìva?
---
“I can’t believe you left her alone with him!” Neteyam seethed through his Radiocoms which was wrapped around his neck as he sped through the forest on his Pa’li - his Father and a group of warriors hot on his tail. His fingers pressed against the small button as he continued speaking, “if she’s hurt or they took her I will be so fucking angry at you, Kiri.”
“Relax, big brother.” A sniffle was heard through the small speaker on the device hanging around his neck. “Wìva is strong and skilled, she can handle it. Spider was alone and she had knocked him out when we left.”
It wasn’t that he thought Herwìva couldn’t handle it. He knew that she was more than capable of dealing with anything. But it was the thought of Spider being alone with her and inflicting any harm on her. And what if he takes her back to Quaritch and the other Sky People or they were following Spider and waiting for a perfect opportunity to attack after him?
He let out a frustrated groan, heartbeat pounding in his chest.
Jake soon caught up to him after sensing his anguish, both Direhorses speeding beside each other, dipping and swerving between the thousands of tree trunks. “It will be okay, son. We’ll find her.”
Neteyam only nodded at his father’s words before speeding ahead, following the directions which Kiri had given them. He was worried far more than what his mind could even comprehend. Why was Spider back? Why did he try to kill Tuktirey? Were the Sky People close to finding the village? Would they have to evacuate and relocate again? Was Herwìva safe? Was she hurt? Has she been taken as hostage? Were they going to kill her now she had delivered Quaritch’s message to his father?
Guilt bloomed within him. He had promised to keep Herwìva safe since she arrived in Omatikaya and he was already failing. Anxieties began to bubble inside his stomach as his Father called out for the group to halt and dismount their creatures.
Sliding off his Pa’li and breaking tsaheylu, Neteyam’s feet landed in the soil on the ground alongside the rest of the group. He stalked over to them all with a cold, hard stare and looked at his father for permission to speak. A nod was received.
“You all know what to do and how to tackle this, yes?” Neteyam began, a look of determination on his features as he glanced at the group of warriors who all nodded deeply in response. “Zi? Run down the plan.”
Zi’awmey stepped forwards, bowing in front of the current and future Olo’eyktan’s. “Restrain the human and take him to the base on the East side, far from the village. If there are more Sky People, we take a slower approach… surround and attack. Ensure Herwìva’s safety and bring her back to Omatikaya. We wait for Toruk Makto’s orders.”
---
Her body was shaking. Back leaning against the bark of a tree as she watched the human boy lay unconscious on the ground whilst she struggled to breathe. Pulling her legs into her chest, she squeezed her eyes shut and hoped that when she next opened them she would be at home sitting in her icy alcove high up in the mountains and crafting ice sculptures with Astríx.
Anxiety and traumatic memories consumed Herwìva no matter how hard she tried to fight them off with positive ones. She was rocking back and forth mumbling prayers to her family, clan and Eywa. Her eyes remained shut, even upon hearing a call of her name multiple times as footsteps approached the green clearing.
Many voices filled her ears, but she only registered how muffled it sounded. All she could hear clearly was the voices from her past echoing around in her head. It was if she was a hollow shell, unable to acknowledge her surroundings.
“Miss snow?” She refused to open her eyes as a large hand clasped her arm. “I’m going to pick you up okay?”
There was only one person who called her that. An Omatikaya warrior who she had met a handful of times over the past few weeks. She simply nodded. Not wanting to witness the unfamiliar surroundings and human boy passed out on the floor again. She ignored the pain that seeped along her neck and shoulder as she was carried.
Neteyam watched Herwìva from a distance as Zi’awmey wrapped his arms around her, his hands going under her knees and around her back to lift her from the ground. Neteyam’s own hands were currently grasped around the passed out human boy he was once friends with many years ago whilst two other warriors bound and restrained him with thick ropes. He wanted nothing more than to drop Spider back onto the ground and take Herwìva out of Zi’awmey’s arms and bring her into his own embrace instead. He wanted to tell her how sorry he is to have let her stray so far from the village without him, thank her for saving his sisters and whisper soothing words into her cool, pale blue ears.
“Neteyam?” His ears shot up in surprise at the whimper of his name off Herwìva’s pink, quivering lips. She was still being tightly held by Zi and refusing to open her eyes. “Is he here?”
Zi’awmey stilled and swallowed before begrudgingly answering. “Yes, he is.”
Neteyam quickly called another warrior over to take his place, allowing him to approach the Na’Vi who was holding the girl he had promised to proctect.
“He’s here,” Zi began loosening his grip on the traumatised girl. “I’m going to set you down, he’s right in front of you, okay?”
Her legs stiffened as her feet hit the grass and she sniffled. “Thank you, Zi.”
“Anytime, gorgeous.” The warrior breathed out, earning a slight glare from the Olo’eyktan-in-training causing him to reluctantly walk off.
“Ne- Neteyam?” Herwìva’s voice cracked and Neteyam’s heart broke at the sound.
“Mawey (calm). I’m here ma sevin herwì syulang (my pretty snow flower), mawey.” He spoke softly, lifting his hands up to the panicking girl’s face to gently caress it.
Her eyelashes fluttered against her cheeks as she slowly opened her eyes again, grateful to be greeted with the sight of him. His pupils were wide with perturbation and lips parted in sadness.
“You are hurt.” He stated with a frown, eyes flickering over the long gash from the nape of her neck down to her shoulder.
“It’s oka-”
“No, it is not.” He cut her off, concern laced in his tone and he hesitantly released her cool, soft face from the warmth of his hands. “You flew here on Näfol, yes?”
She responded, frowning from the loss of his touch and slightly confused as to why he was asking. “I did.”
“Dad!” Neteyam suddenly called out and looked behind him, “Herwìva is injured. I’m going to take her back to the village.”
“Okay,” Jake began with worry shining through his eyes. “Make sure you’re both ready for a meeting and debrief about this after eclipse.”
Neteyam got Herwìva to call for Näfol, the stunning banshee landing beside them in an instant. He craned his neck down to his rider, observing her wounds and letting out a low growl before softly nuzzling his nose into her stomach. Her features softened at the contact, gently rubbing the creature’s head at his attempt to comfort her.
Herwìva’s bond with Näfol was strong and unusual compared to the average Na’Vi and Ikran connections. Neteyam knew this. It wasn’t common for a rider to be able to tame and ride their banshee without making tsaheylu. But this was extremely convenient for times like now, when Herwìva was drained and injured – unable to focus on telepathically connecting with Näfol and order him flight directions.
“To Omatikaya Kelutral, rutxe ma kalin ‘eylan (please my sweet friend).” She spoke, hands gracefully moving along the creature’s neck. He clicked his tongue in response before lowering himself to the ground, allowing Herwìva and Neteyam to mount him before taking off into the air above the forest trees.
Neteyam sat behind Herwìva, her body tiredly slumping into his. He held onto her waist tightly, the coolness of her legs pressed against his warms ones as she held onto the handle of the harness on Näfol’s back.
Not a word was spoken between the pair as they rode back to the village. Neteyam could sense Herwìva’s exhaustion and knew better than to pressure her to speak or lecture her for tackling Spider alone.
It wasn’t much longer until they reached hometree and soon found themselves in the Tsahìk’s alcove. Neteyam had stayed beside Herwìva’s side the whole time his grandmother was tending to her wound.
She advised that a day’s rest and frequently applied salve was needed for the open cut to heal and close quickly to which Neteyam nodded gratefully and Herwìva thanked the elder woman.
“Take care of her, Neteyam.” She smiled kindly before slipping out of the alcove to Eywa knows where, leaving the two young Na’Vi alone.
Turning to face Herwìva, Neteyam carefully took her hand in his. “I’m sor-”
“No,” She cut him off and squeezed his hand to emphasise her point before continuing. “Don’t you dare try and take responsibility for this. It’s not your fault and it is out of your control. None of us could have known that the human would have been there.”
A sigh escaped his plump blue lips, his spare hand finding it’s way to her slim waist and she melted under his delicate but firm touch. “I cannot thank you enough for saving my baby sister.”
The corners of her lips twitched up. “You do not need to thank me for that. I would never want you of your family to suffer a loss like that. I owe you all so much for giving me a new home so the least I can do is help protect you all.”
Neteyam’s gaze eased lovingly as he listened to Herwìva’s words. “Herwìva…”
“Neteyam…” She countered teasingly, placing her hands on top of his broad shoulders with her fingers grazing the back of his neck.
“I want to give you a radiocom, we’ll take to my Dad later about it but I want you to be able to contact me when we’re not together so I can follow through with my promise to keep you safe. Great Mother forbid if something like today ever happens again, I want you to call me and I will be there for you.”
She glanced at the communicative accessory around his neck, fingers reaching to fiddle with it. Her icy fingers tracing along it and brushing his warm skin, sending a shiver through him.
“Okay, if that’s what you think is best mighty warrior.”
He lightly rolled his eyes, pulling her closer to him. Her chest was flush against his muscular abdomen, and she could feel the beat of his heart. “The mighty warrior does think it to be best.”

(i'am sorry if I have done anny error, english is not my first language )
Real life pov:
Musa tries to take advantage of the last seconds of sleep before getting up for her practice with Riven. The light from the window attacks her eyes when she hears the door slam open. Her eyes instinctively open to see what's going on and the first thing she notices is that Terra isn't in the room. Musa turns her attention back to the person opening the door and it's Stella who stands infront of her. The fairy comes to sit on Musa's bed and pulls the blanket.
"Get up, I have great news."
Musa takes the blanket from her friend's hands and goes back to bed. "Musa up, we're going to town."
The fairy sticks her head out from under the sheets: "What are you talking about? It's Friday, we have class."
The blonde gets up and goes to open Musa's cupboard: "No, because today Silva is organizing an integration day for first-year specialists so we have the day off."
Musa sits up slightly in bed to listen to Stella.
"And so I thought we could do a double date again. You know like the last time, tattoo, walk, thrift store, all that."
The blonde is throwing clothes on her friend's bed for her to get dressed.
"Have you made an appointment with the tattoo artist yet?"
"Yes it will be good, come on!"
Musa gets up and takes the t-shirt and pants Stella took from her own closet, "So who's coming besides Bea, Riv, you and me?"
"When Bea told Riven about it, he asked Helia to come."
The mind fairy walks to the bathroom and closes the door. Stella, however, remains in front to continue the discussion.
"And suddenly we invited Flora, so Helia doesn't hold the candle between you and Riv or between me and Bea. And that will help Flo to get closer to her crush."
Musa opens the door again, with a smile on her face. "Stella, you're a genius, but Helia isn't a first year?"
The blonde chuckled slightly. "No, he's in his third year like Riven and Sky, he's just new. And you're going to get your lover because we're leaving in 15 minutes, we'll meet in the parking lot!"
Musa doesn't even have time to respond when Stella comes out of the room clicking her heels on the floor.
Musa is about to knock at Riven's room when Helia opens the door himself.
"Riven is in the shower, see you downstairs in 10 minutes?"
She nods and Helia smiles at her before exiting the bedroom and walking down the hall. The door remains open so the fairy enters and closes  the said door. She puts her bag in a corner and her gaze is directly drawn to a corner of Riven's room. On a shelf is the specialist's entire collection of ashtrays. It makes her smile, reminding him of the conversations she had with him over the summer and how he seemed so happy to talk about the things he loves. She looks at the collection but doesn't notice the one she gave him.
"I use it for smoking."
Musa jumps and turns to see a smiling Riven, his hair still wet.
"Wh..what?"
"Your ashtray, it's not on the shelf because I use it."
Musa feels her heart soften gently at the word of the boy in front of her.
Her gaze drops to his chest and she notices something: "Are you wearing a crop top? Are you wearing one of my crop tops?"
Riven's neck filled with a red stain upon hearing the fairy. He's blushing.
"I don't see what you're talking about." Riven said as she turned to open his closet and grab another t-shirt.
Musa advances behind him. "Yes, you're wearing my crop top. It suits you better than me."
Riven's neck flares up even more and he puts his hand on his neck to hide it. He turns and goes to the bathroom to change his t-shirt. When he comes out, Musa is waiting for him, sitting on his bed. "Did you steal it from me?"
"Yes when we last slept together."
"Why did you change?"
"Because it's my pajamas."
This time, it's Musa's cheeks that turns flush. Just the idea of knowing that the specialist slept with one of her clothes, prevents her brain from functioning normally. Yet when she looks at Riven's arms, her gaze fills with concern. She gently grabs his hand. "Riv what are these burns?"
"Nothing, mind fairy."
"Riv!"
He lowers his head. "It's nothing, it must be because of the showers I take."
Musa looks at him with incomprehension.
"I take hot showers, it feels like getting a warm hug."
She points to the boy's arm.
"Hot showers are one thing, but this kind of marks is caused by burning showers, it's dangerous Riv."
He sits on the bed and Musa takes a seat next to him. "It's nothing."
“No, it's not nothing Riven. You hurt yourself. I don't want you to hurt yourself. It breaks my heart to know that. For the feeling of a warm hug."
"What should I do then?" the specialist replies.
"Just ask. Just ask for a hug. Don't burn your skin just for a feeling."
"It is not so easy."
Musa gently slides her hand through the boy's hair.
"I know, and I don't pretend to undertand all of you but I know that you can always come to me for a hug."
The boy looks at her in the eyes.
"You say that because of this fake relationship."
She smiles softly at him.
"I don't. I say that because I care. I care for you and what you are feeling and I don't want you to get hurt. If you want a warm hug, come to ask me. Any times. I would be there. "
Riven is afraid. He is frightened of Musa getting in his head and see that he is just a scared little boy. He is a scared little boy who was forced to grown up to soon. He is just a scared little boy who don't want to fight with monsters. He is a scared man, a broken one, a coward one. A touch starved man who would melt in a cuddle, and die just for a little brush on his hand.
"But you don't even like being touched."
The fairy laugh when she heard him saying that.
"I like touch, I love touch, I crave touch. I just can't have it with many people because touching someone make me feel their feeling even more, it's hard."
Musa lowers her hand to Riven cheek and caresses it with her thumb. Her softness overwhelmed the boy and he gently lean in her hand.
"You are touch starved. It's crazy how you and I are the same." Says the boy turning his head and gives a soft kiss to her hand.
When Riven and Musa arrive in the parking lot, the others are already there. Out of the corner of her eye, the fairy sees Flora and Helia talking. They're both leaning against a car and from the way he looks at her smiling and how she talks with her hand, Musa understands straight away that the two will get along fine.
She looks ahead again and sees Riven complaining to Stella: "I don't understand why we still have to take my car."
That's when Beatrix jumps on the specialist's back. "Because you have a great car and you're a really nice best friend."
Riven sighs as he pulls out his keys and pushes his friend into the car. "Go in this damn car, before I change my mind."
Before going to the tattoo artist, the small group goes to a bookstore.
Riven and Musa are sitting against a shelf, books in hand.
"My mom would have punished me just for thinking of getting a tattoo."
The brunette looks up from her book and looks at him. "What ?" She asks, furrowing her eyebrows.
"She would have killed me if she knew I was planning on getting a tattoo and just for that I want to get a tattoo related to it."
A laugh escapes the fairy's lip.
"You think I'm crazy right ? Always wanting revenge and not forgiving."
"No, I don't actually. You don't own forgiveness to your abusers. Society makes people believe they have to forgive but that's stupid. Take revenge Riv."
"Thank you love."
He just called her love. Riven has a knack for giving everyone nicknames, but "love" is new. It's new and it's comforting. Musa brings her knees up to her and leans her head on them, smiling.
"What?" asks the boy.
"You just called me love, admit you're obsessed with me."
He bursts out laughing. "How do you know?" he replies humorously.

Real life pov:
After going to the tattoo artist and eating,  Beatrix and Stella have decided to separate  for the group to go to a thrift store. Stella doesn't really like this kind of place but her girlfriend assured her that she was just going to some bad place.
Bea opens the door and holds it for Stella who thanks her.
"It's...pretty."
"Ho Stell, stop having assumptions sweetheart."
The blonde sighs and nods, following Beatrix through the aisles and holding her hand.
Meanwhile, in the park near the thrift store, Helia and Flora are sitting against a tree, the girl showing the boy how she grows flowers with her powers. She had never seen anyone looking at her with the admiration that Helia has in those eyes right now.
A little further on, Musa is lying on her stomach, the sun glinting off the purple markings on her back. Riven, sitting next to her, can't help but delicately outline them with his fingertips. She looks up at him: "I love your tattoo."
"And I love yours."
Musa smiled softly and when the specialist came to put his hand on her shoulder blades, she smiled softly, closing her eyes at the contact.
"My mother used to say this sentence all the time, the one on my tattoo."
Riven puts his hand away slightly when he hears the fairy talking about her mother. He doesn't expect to talk about this subject. Musa raises her back slightly, silently asking the specialist to continue his carresses.
"She seemed like a good person."
"She was, she was always smiling and be happy around. She loves everyone. I miss her you know. I miss her in every moments in my life."
"I'm sure she would be proud of you. You are a good person."
Musa feels like watching him for the first time.
"You know, she would have adored you."
Riven smiles softly and comes to lie down next to her on the grass. Musa looks at him, with his eyes closed and his skin glowing golden in the sun. She loses herself in the contemplation of...
Ho...
Oh no no no
Oh...
It is happening.
It's been happening for a long time.
She only realizes it now.
She is in love. Of Riven.

Two Worlds One Heart 🌸An unexpected encounter🌸
(Credit to Ethereis(Tumblr) for the title! I decided to use the 5 that weren't for the title of the story as titles for chapters/parts!)(Collei in this chapter woo wooop even added a little bit of Tighnari in this. Here's where you finally meet him.)(Yes I'm adding references LMAOOO- Kelly is prob gonna put their detective hat on and try figure them out.) (Meant to be 2,500 bc I was making it each chapter gets 500+ words minimum but that would make the final be 11k and for the 5 endings that's over 200,000 words. Yes I'm motivated but not up to that point.) (so the word count will be random always below 5,000 but above 1,500.)
Word Count: 3500+, A/N: I swear to Kusanali if this flops...
"Finally out of the chasm... phew... the path to sumeru in the chasm sure can be difficult to find." You stated finally over with the navigation. The sketchbook really did help you as you always gotten slightly lost within it.
Seeing the opening / clearing on the threshold of the tunnel you used, were giant plants with a nearby stream. Multiple creatures with eachother nearby thriving. The sight wa simply exhilarating and breathtaking everyone seemed so peaceful it was ethereal. Making it seem like a dream. You quickly opened the sketchbook you owned, finding a blank page to doodle the scenery before your eyes.
Many animals were wary of your presence before seeing you had a tail and ears they seemed to be more chill around you. Figuring you were like a sumpter beast. Big yet friendly and calm. Which is how you were at the moment. A few foxes seemed to take an interest in you. Aww! How adorable~ you thought seeing the crimson foxes become more comfortable and friendly.
"Don't worry! I won't hurt you~" you stated in a soothing voice, standing up briefly gaining the foxes attention. Showing your 5 tails for a few minutes to them. Revealing you were a Kitsune, a type of Fox Yokai. Going back down to doodle in your book as one fox came into your lap finding comfort and warmth. The two others near you simply watched you draw. One was putting their fore paws on your knee. With its hind legs keeping it steady. Interesting in what you had drew.
The other had pawed at you. Wanting you to put it on top of your shoulder. You gently lifted the fox onto your left one, it easily slid into the space wrapping its tail slightly around your neck. Your doodle of the scenery before you was decently finished. The birds chirping while the water flowed nearby was calming. Almost to the point you could fall asleep. But you just arrived in sumeru, the place you wanted to go for years. How could you fall asleep now? You also slept only a hour or two ago.
Unknowingly a forest ranger was watching you. You didn't know where it was as you could only sense their presence. Their green hair and violet eyes blended them in. Easily matching the patches of flora surrounding the area. Asking one of the fox buddies to go investigate, they followed your command. Easily finding who was watching you from afar.
A girl around your height, seemed to be interested in why foxes were so comfortable around you. Seeing one come up she thought of running away, instead the fox walked back to you. Craning its head around to see if she was following. Seeming to understand what the fox had wanted she followed. Going closer to you, the unknown person. Or well she thought you were an ordinary one at first glance, wondering why you were so close to foxes so easily. Made her wonder.. how?
"Hello! I sensed your presence, you seem like a forest watcher. By your clothing is how I'm assuming of course. You don't need to be alarmed by me." You stated seeing the fox come back with its fore paws on your knee. Going back to watching you doodle. You stopped, scratching the heads of all 3 foxes for brief moments. Before turning the book so the girl could see. "What do you think of this illustration? If you're a forest watcher I hope you can tell me if I missed any details that I can put." You stated showing your sketch was nearly finished.
"It looks great uhm..." She stated showing happiness. "Oh dear me! I never told you my name did I? I'm Y/N, many people mistake me for Yae Miko. I'm sure you heard of her. I'm her younger sibling. I'm more kind and less mischievous than she is." You stated, waiting for the girl to introduce herself. "Oh nice to meet you Y/N! I'm collei, a trainee forest ranger so your assumption was correct! Why are the foxes so y'know... comfortable around you? I heard of Yae Miko rarely just knowing they had a publishing house..." She stated amazed by your drawing.
"Ah well do you know Yokai? I'm one of them. I'm a fox Yokai, a Kitsune." "Oh wait you are? I'm so sorry for not recognizing miss! Apologies Y/N." She said with a slightly worried expression. "No need to apologize dear. If you want you can pet my tail or ears for a little." You stated as you closed your sketchbook. It disappeared into your bag.
"Ah R-really-? A-are you sure? We really just met and people like you usually don't like them getting touched!" She stated, confused by what you had stated previously. "You seem nice enough to me. Go for it if you want. You can choose." You stated as she sat down on the right now noticing your tail."Hey Y/N do kitsune gain a tail every 100 years? If I remember correctly my master taught me a little bit." She questioned seeing the singular tail. "Yes we do. Are you confused by my singular tail or something?" You asked back. Questioning why she had asked.
"Yeah are you choosing to do that or do you actually have one? You said I could pet your tails." She said repeating what you had told her. "Yes I have multiple and they are hard work. It's no wonder why Miko prefers hiding all of hers. You can touch the main one if you wish. A,A,a!" You said stopping the girl as your tail wrapped around your right side. "You must be gentle as this is very hard work to maintain you know! And if you are going to pet my ears... don't touch the insides. Those are WAYY to sensitive...!" You stated giving her a slight lecture, just like how her master could do but you never knew that.
"You're starting to sound like Master. He also has ears and a tail. He'd never let me touch his fluffy ears or tail." She stated, touching your tail slightly and she loved how fluffy your tail was! Maybe it could even be fluffier than her masters. "Hope you're enjoying yourself. I rarely let anyone touch it. Also who's this master of yours? He sounds interesting. I doubt he's a Yokai or kitsune like me. I never heard of anyone managing to leave Inazuma with ears and a tail." You stated being honest towards the girl. Petting the fox in the middle of your lap while the other two brought back flowers. They both managed to somehow get a Nilotpala Lotus in full bloom and a Kalpalata Lotus, which hangs on cliffs. "Oh! I'm pretty sure he's like you. A species or idk how you may call it... but he's a hybrid of a fox species." They replied enjoying your tail and how warm it was. That day it was slightly more cold than it usually is so this definitely helped her warm up.
"He sounds interesting... I haven't met a hybrid yet. I actually only know if illuminated beasts from Liyue and Yokai from Inazuma. So he definitely peaked my interest." You said, wondering how the male looked like. Assuming he worked for the Akademiya... you pondered which Darshan he was in. "What's illuminated beasts?" She asked, looking up at you with a slightly confused expression. "They are like inazuman Yokai. Ones that only reside within liyues borders." You responded back seeing as she had stopped petting your tail. "Is something the matter Collei? Did you hurt yourself?" You asked seeing her confused expression on her face. "Ah no nothings wrong! I'm just worried Master might be worried about where I am and may be trying to find me." She said, fidgeting with her fingers at the moment feeling slightly embarrassed if she did get found by her master. "Actually collei can I ask you a question?" "Yes Y/N you can. What is it?" "I'm wondering who this 'Master' is, you said they're similar to me." "Oh yeah I did! Well if I remember correctly he's a Fennec Fox hybrid." "A fennec fox hybrid..? Did he adjust to the forest?" "Yes he did. He can't tolerate the desert very much because of this adaptation."'
"Collei here." You stated bringing your bag from nowhere. Grabbing an accessory for her to take. "Pick one that you like." You told her, holding up 5 pieces of different accessories. "Do you want the purple bolt or the pink sakura hairpin? You can have this Amethyst necklace choose one to take." "Wow! Really Y/N?" She stated ecstatic about the accessories. "I'm sure of it. You helped me enough." You letted out a laugh at her face, eyes covered by sparkles while her smile glistened. "Hmm.. can I have the Amethyst necklace?" "Of course you can I did say you could take it, did I not?" You replied with sight sass in a joking way. "Thank you so much! I rarely get gifts!... Uhm... can you help me put it on?" "Yes I can indeed." Both of you letted our laughs seemingly to become close friends already, within 30 minutes of meeting one another. You truly had a friendly and caring aura.
Upon tracking colleis slight scent of berries he found her with a stranger... they seemed to be close and he figured you were a visitor. Eyeing you and her both seeing she had a new necklace. Watching as collei braided your hair, using little pieces to make one that'd go across your hair, using the pink Sakura to hold it in place with the purple thunderbolt on the front as a hairpin. His ear flicked and his tail wagged slowly at the sight. Happy collei didn't get hurt since she didn't return earlier. Upon inspection with his eyes, he saw you also had 2 ears and a tail. Similar to his. Unlike him your ears were always folded down but long nonetheless. With a super fluffy tail.
"Is that master?" You asked sensing a presence nearby that made you wary. "It is. That's master Tighnari, he's the chief forest ranger in the Avidya forest." She stated looking at the way she came from seeing her mentor. "Alright that puts me more at ease then. All the foxes that were with you two were on your and colleis laps. Both of you putting them down and watched as they went towards Tighnari. Collei held onto your arm gently, guiding you up to meet the fennec fox hybrid. Making sure you both didn't slip or fall on anything as you went. "Collei, what did I say about not returning on time?" He asked sternness lacing his voice. Focused on collei. "Uh sorry master Tighnari! I made a new friend with Y/N here! She even gave me this Amethyst necklace! She's also from Inazuma and a type of Yokai, she's also a fox hybrid like you!" She stated, seeming to be very happy to have gotten to know you, her direction if core went towards you, a smile on her face and a hand on her upper body.
"Greetings Master Tighnari or Tighnari depending on which you want me to call you. I'm Y/N, younger sibling of Yae, 2nd main shrine maiden and chief editor." You said, mimicking what collei had did recently. "So to get this Straight. You're like me?" He asked, pointing at his face."Indeed I am, I'm a kitsune a fox Yokai. Collei told me what you had taught her about us and I must say you do an excellent job at teaching. The little things she said are indeed true."
"That's good to know, I've been told I'm a great teacher and listener by many of my trainees." He admitted. "Anyways I'm Tighnari, if it's your first time here you can take this book. I'd specifically recommend to read the mushroom chapters first. Unless you want up to end like those mindless adventurers everyday who eat anything. Even if it screams 'Don't eat me! I'm poisonous!'. I don't understand those brainless lummoxes." He said, sass brimming through his voice. "Don't worry I did research before coming here and I have a first aid kit and food on me. I should be fine. I'll be honest, I was hoping I'd run into a forest ranger. Glad I met collei. Also can you tell me a little bit about your Culture and plants if you may? I'm helping my sister out by getting more material for stories and magic." You explained, stating one of the few reasons why you traveled here. "Actually can you take a look at my sketchbook, please let me know if I put any symptoms wrong." You asked. Looking at collei and showing her a little trick.
"You see this collei? A floating Sakura right. *Poof* Now it became a lighting kitsune / fox!" You stated, as the Sakura changed in less than a blink of an eye. Leaving her in awe, waiting for Tighnari to tell if you did anything wrong. "Hmm... all of this seems good Y/N I don't see any errors in your writing and I must say your sketches are really beautiful. The latest one looks super close to the actual one." He stated looking at the scenery around you three. "Oh thank you Tighnari! I actually rarely get any compliments about my drawings. They always say to color it in then it'll be impressive!" You said with irritation, the bitterness of their tone on your tongue.
Using your hands to mock them before turning your head away slightly up. "I ought to show them what art is..." *mumbling* "Then they'll know true illustrations are beautiful in bountiful ways!" Slight agitation towards them showed through. Tail flicked in annoyance along with one of your ears. "Y/N it's okay! They'll learn eventually..." Collei stated trying to cheer you up. "Ik they will. It's just I wish they knew beforehand." Reassuring the teenager.
"Anyways. Do you need a place to stay Y/N you can come to ghandharva ville with us. I can also teach you what I know about culture while you can learn about our plants." Tighnari offered. "Are you sure I won't be a bother? I wouldn't want to get in the way of your work and duties and-" "Rest assured you can. Now stop being a worrywart. You can come with me to my home. I can sleep on the couch and you can have the bed alright?" He stated. Finally giving his attention to the foxes around you.
"No no! You can have the bed! I can take the couch it's your home and I'm just a guest!" You replied showing worry for him again. "You can take the bed I really don't mind Y/N." "If you say so.." "also I must admit I'm curious in your species. If I teach you about plants and culture may you reach me about Kitsunes or other yokai?" "Uhm... sure! Yeah! People from other nations are always slightly scared of me since they mistake me for Miko and/or hasn't seen a Yokai. I'm glad you both aren't scared by my presence." You stated, tail slightly wagging and the rest of your tails popped up. All 5 of them wagged in unison. "Y/N may I ask you what hair products you use for your tail or ears? They all seem to be really cared for- Not that I mean you didn't take care for it!"
"Don't worry I understand, keeping one tail on high maintenance is enough. Me and Miko struggle with our tails a lot. I use these natural oils."  The products floating out of the bag and into Tighnaris hands. Allowing him to see what you used. "Oh! I can't forget about my best brush here's what it looks like if you're interested in getting it." Grabbing the brush and holding it up for him and his hands had the care products. Collei stared at the products uninterested in them as she didn't have tail/s or ears. Proceeding to write down in her notepad.
"Alright we should start heading back. If we don't return soon they may just wreak havoc among the plants in the Avidya forest. Just like kids on too much candy." He stated walking ahead, "we gotta dash collei! Don't run though!" You stated seeing as she finished in her notepad. Upon catching up with Tighnari, you were in awe as you looked around you seeing many beauitful sights all around. "Is that a statue of the seven?" "Indeed it is!" Collei stated chatting with you along the way on the path towards their homes.
"Oh they're both coming back! But who is that lady adorned in Inazuman clothing?" Rana stated seeing the 3 of you on the path. "I don't know." Someone stated seemingly not interested. "I found collei near the chasm. Where she made a new friend. Her name is Y/N and comes from Inazuma. She's a fox Yokai from there and she'll be staying with me for the time being." Tighnari explained to the trainees as all three of you made it to the threshold of the ville. "Alright!" They stated understanding Tighnari.
"Alright collei do you want to come with me to my house or are you going to go to your house?" Tighnari asked the green haired Teenager. "I'll go to yours for a bit. I want to know more about Y/N! I'm curious about them too Master." She stated looking up towards you briefly before craning her view towards Tighnari. "Alright. Let's go it's this way." He stated greeting multiple forest rangers on the way or residents. "Okay so Y/N it's currently 4pm. Do you want to learn today or start tomorrow? Also are you exhausted from the trip? Any pains or numbness? I'm asking since I'm sure you're at least a little tired from the traveling." "I can start today, I'm not too tired out to fall asleep so hard that I can't wake up. I am slightly exhausted but no pain anywhere beside well my feet since traveling." You stated mimicking a few words he had just told.
"Alright why don't you tell us more about your Yokai first? We are both very curious after all and we know a lot about plants so I or her can tell you afterwards." He stated sitting on the floor along with collei. "Sure! I don't mind." You responded sitting on the floor with the two. "Kitsune or Fox envoyes are people who can live up to thousands of years. Each tail they gain is a symbol for them living 100 years. If you can guess my age is over 500. 546 to be exact and my sister is 550 years old. Meaning we get 5 whole tails. The amount of tails also symbolizes how much power we have. For clarification, each 100 years and tail our power grows stronger with age. I have more capabilities than I used to in my first few 100s. For example I can teleport, summon foxes, use magic, summon, perform exorcism, create thunderbolts or Sakura. I can do more but I doubt you're that interested in those." You stated seemingly finished and waiting for questions.
"Thank you Y/N for that information now do you want to know about plants? Or culture first." "Plants please, I can use them for stories! Oh and their healing properties." "Okay then. So the Nilotpalas Lotus healing properties..."
*Timeskip bc idk healing stuff WOOO-)*
"Tighnari are you sure you don't want the bed? Idm having the couch." You stated as it was now 10pm and collei went home around  an hour ago. "Y/N it's all good I'll be fine you're making It seem like I'm gonna have someone break into my house." "Alright alright! I get it... Anyways Goodnight Tighnari!" You stated as he left the room going to the couch. It feels weird in a different persons house and bed. But it does smell like him so that can be comforting. I never knew one could smell so much like Nature till I met him. His scent is slightly interesting... Oh Y/N stop it with these thoughts you need to go to sleep! Don't think about cuddling sessions yet!! You just met that guy! You mentally scolded yourself as your thoughts got the best of you.
Although it does sound fun... having someone groom my tail or tails while I do theirs is something I rarely do.. I used to with Miko but were both busy with work.. You hit yourself in the head with a pillow trying to stop the thoughts and fall into deep slumber. After around 30 minutes you fell asleep. Using your tail as extra warmth for your body's as the moons glow brightened your skin.

Grand Providence development update 3/3/2024
Hello! Let's get right into it.
The first set of rules I worked on were small, miniscule even, but I believe them to be important. These are the rules of what happens during different stages of being encumbered. These are important because having a simple binary set of unencumbered and overencumbered makes the decision for players simple depending on the severity of them. Does being overencumbered make the game terrible to play? If yes, never be overencumbered. If no, carry as much as you want until the GM yells at you for having an entire library worth of books in your back pocket. While having gradients is good, it can also get out of hand in the blink of an eye. Keeping this in mind I decided that there would be four states of encumbrance along with keeping the low numbers and simple assignment of Bulk to items. This makes calculating a character's encumbrance level less of a math problem for players and Providences. Carrying less than half of your carry capacity means a slight bonus to stealth, more than half means an increase in the dodge and parry action cost, going over your total carry capacity means an increase in the movement action cost and a slight detriment to your exploration speed, and finally carrying more than twice your carry capacity means you get one less ambition at the start of each turn. These detriments stack as well so the more you carry the more you feel the effects. These effects also, I hope, lead to players considering their options. Lugging around a treasure chest during combat? Terrible idea. But doing so when your only punishment is going a bit slower while getting back to town can be appealing.
The next set of rules were based around enemy types and their different resistances and vulnerabilities. In Grand Providence, resisting one of the four damage types does not mean you half that damage. Instead creatures will have Toxic Resistance 4 which means any time they take toxic damage the damage is lowered by 4. Vulnerabilities work the same way. While it is tempting to have every monster have a personalized set of damage resistances and vulnerabilities, this can cause a large amount of strain on both players and Providences when multiple creature types are present in a fight. Due to this I wanted to follow my general design philosophy and keep the rules simple. Each of the nine different categories of enemies, one of which is broken into six subtypes, have a generalized set of two resistances, one which is higher and one which is lower, and one vulnerability. While doing this I also ensured that the different damage types were represented as close to equally as I could. This was due to one of my friends and players who has issue with D&D, specifically with how many monsters resist poison. He is a rogue at heart and enjoys the idea of poisoned blades but the high amount of monsters that resist said poison makes it so he feels that the play style is too detrimental. The other reason I wanted to keep each monster type with generalized damage resistances and vulnerabilities was for the hunt of a monster. In many games players can have a hard time preparing to fight something because the options are too varied and scouring through a list of monsters that have the specific signals given can feel like studying while grinding a game to a halt while the other option is to keep studying in game until you find the answer which als grinds games to a halt. With this normalized system players can study where a monster attacked, find signs of it being a flora monster of some kind and know that, in general, fire is a good idea while toxins and corrosive damage types should be avoided.
The final set of rules were ones for the Providence only. These are the rules for making towns. Oftentimes making towns, what kind of shops and how large the shops are, what kinds of buildings the town has, and all other decisions are up to the GM while also having a low amount of mechanical structure to them. This often leads to GM’s either needing to do a large amount of work to make each town or just letting players buy whatever they so desire. That's not how I like to do things. So I took all of the shops and divided them into three sizes. A small blacksmith will have less or lower tiers of items than a large blacksmith. I then took all of the shops and divided them into four focuses a town can have, Core, Scholarly, Crafting, and Religious. Then I took all four of those and made five levels of focus the town can have for them. A town with a high focus on their Core and Crafting will have a better blacksmith and general store for example. I then took a large list of different buildings of interest for a town and divided them into these four categories. This way, when a Providence makes a town they will know the shops, the type of items they sell, and a list of different buildings that town will have. Keeping with this generation I then suggested a number of focus points a town will have depending on its size and then made the lifestyles and training levels depend on a towns size. This way when players hear that there is a small religious town to the west and a large craftsman town to the north they have a general idea of what they can expect from those towns.
That’s all for this week. If you have any questions, comments, or criticisms send me an ask!

“Your Majesty, it’s springtime now. The flowers have bloomed beautifully thanks to the gardener.” Her words were quite a blur as you left the immersion of your book.
“You should take a walk and a breath of fresh air.” Light painted nails shut the cover and handed it to the bowed servant to be returned to the library.
You look out the window. The sight of the bushes and flowerbeds varying in colors sure looks pleasing to the eye. The view from your room was good enough but perhaps it would be much better to see it in person.
“Prepare me an umbrella, I will go visit that gardener personally.”
Albedo has departed a week ago for an Inazuman client while leaving you with a few words that got you wondering why he’s creating works under another name. It’s not your business whatever is happening in his personal life but it’d be nice to figure out a hanging secret. You hate surprises plus; you could never figure out a man like him. It’s like his thoughts were always closeted from other people. Just what is he planning to do on your birthday?
And as you’re thinking about the painter’s plans, you finally arrive at the greenhouse after numerous cobblestones. Its white exteriors and glass met the sun as a prism. It was nothing like the garden back at your home, this was much like a little palace filled with flora, backed by a dense forest that extends to the emperor’s residence.
This was just the legendary garden that you have heard of a hundred times. It was the only advantage you could think of as the maids try to calm you down whenever you cried; your little fists kept rubbing on your eyes as they try to stop you, telling you stories of the enchanted garden in the empress’ palace.
“Are there butterflies? Sparkles?”
“Yes. Lots of them!”
It was a lot less enchanting now under the circumstances you were in, but you couldn’t deny the awe it had over you.
It’s a known fact that the garden was the prized possession the previous empresses had, every one of them loved the place more so than their husbands and children. You understood them because when you see the sunlight gleaming through the patches of greens, together with the sweet scent of flowers, the cool shade provided, and the chirps and patter of animals; all of it looks like a fairytale. Straight out of someone’s fever dream.
You wonder if it would retain its enchanting beauty or be scary at night.
Seeing there’s no person inside the greenhouse, you turn your back and decided to roam the palace grounds for a while. You’re almost here for a month yet you still get quite lost at your own home. But this doesn’t even feel like a home, you have unfinished business with the prince and the cold war with the emperor. It’s a sham, the royal family is always a sham. Will you ever get a happy family like the ones other people have? Will Pierro even give you a child?
Your cheeks feel flushed as you think about the process of child making. Your squirming body under that old man…
”No!” You sandwich your cheeks on both palms, the umbrella discarded as you slap yourself while closing your eyes, ridding yourself of the horrid thoughts about the emperor.
He’s your husband but why does it feel like it’s illegal to be thinking about him like that… like his tanned, ripped body that you could only see against his clothes—
'Nooo! That emperor is so annoying!’
“Empress (y/n)!”  You stop your internal tantrums amidst closed eyes and slowly open them to the sight of a character that perhaps came from a fairytale.
Daydreams be damned because this man in front of you looked like he came from someone’s night prayers. Sat on the sunken clearing was a man who looked surprised to see you behind him. A plethora of animals jumped around, surrounded by tiny common flowers and patches of sunlight on his skin.
The both of you just stared at each other until he stood up and the animals flocked away. He bowed down with a troubled expression on his face, dusting off the leaves and dirt on his clothes. “Your majesty! I’m sorry but I haven’t received word that you’re coming!—Not that you need to inform me beforehand but I’m just surprised, that’s all! I’m so sorry I’m not prepared!”
The blonde-haired man bows repeatedly like a robot, your eyeballs watching him go up and down until you come forward and lay a hand on his shoulders. He visibly stiffens under your touch yet you pay it no mind. Raising him to your level and he gradually becomes taller than you. Green eyes flutter and cheeks flush until you step back with a reserved smile.
“Please don’t bow like that ever again. It’s uncomfortable.”
“Ah. I’m sorry.”
You examine his features and his body language; fidgeting and an air of uneasiness radiating off him. “Please stop apologizing for little things, it can also make someone uncomfortable.” He relaxes visibly from your words and his muscles no longer tense.
“Are you the gardener? What’s your name?” You ask him, your voice sounding like a ripple in his ears amidst the swish of the leaves.
You’re finally here…
It was a day just like any other in spring. Thoma could smell the flowers since the market was flourishing with them and he had hoped to buy at least one for his mom, the most beautiful one that caught his eye. An imported flower called Cecilia that was as white as it was pure, fragrant, and soft to the sight. He’s already moving with his eyes fixed but he was suddenly blocked by a taller figure.
One look and he knew he had to step back and let the nobleman have his way. A powerless commoner like him could only watch as the Cecilia is picked up by the blue-haired man to be bought.
“How much is this?”
“150,000 mora, sir. This flower brings good fate as everything in Mondstadt is blessed by Celestia.” The vendor replies and the nobleman casually takes out a bag of mora and drops it onto the vendor’s hands. Thoma was sure it was more than 150,000 mora in the bag; he watches the flowers get wrapped in a delicate design and handed over with such care as if glass. The buyer then thanked the vendor before walking away with such an aura, the breeze of his clothing and masculine scent brushed past Thoma’s face like a slap.
It was silly of him to think of buying that when it was that expensive. A bunch of white flowers from the holy kingdom cost months of his family’s food. But this vendor is also trying to make a living, he cannot blame the happy old man counting the sudden fortune in his palms.
Thoma found himself buying the usual flavorless bread and munching on it, half of it broken for his mom. Sitting on the sidewalk, contemplating whether he should cross the sea to Inazuma to find his dad that never came back, and wondering if the one who received the flowers really needed a good fate.
If it was for a noblewoman then she already has a good life ahead of her. To be able to eat three meals a day that didn’t repeat is already enough. Why would you need a 150,000 mora flower…
From his peripheral, he could see a glimpse of white that he saw earlier, yet the one holding it is a different person now. Anyone who received such a gift should be happy but your expression was down. You kept looking at the flower like it was worthless and he finally had enough when you plucked a petal harshly, some of its leaves falling.
“Stop that! That’s expensive!” He shouted, your gaze transferring over to him as you squint and judge. “That came from the holy kingdom, so don’t do that and treat it like a doll.”
He didn’t know what overcame him to stand up beyond his means. Picking a fight with a noble lady is not what he does.
“It’s not yours though. Why do you have a say in what I do with what’s mine?” Thoma almost shivered from your cold voice, his mind telling him to back down and apologize, if he happens to offend you this would not end nicely. He had to tread carefully within the conversation.
“Uh…well the vendor put great care in it and I’m sure it was cultivated for a long time”
“Do you want one?” You could clearly see that he has his eyes back and forth between your face and the flowers. You presume Dottore has once again snatched someone of what they want.
“Excuse me?” Dumbfounded was an understatement as 14-year-old Thoma watched you take one Cecilia from the bouquet, your dainty hands offering a flower to him. He’s being given something by a noble lady, and the honor of accepting froze him to the ground as you spin the Cecilia in front of him.
“Please take it now if you don’t want the both of us in trouble. Sell it, eat it or give it to someone, do whatever you want with it. I apologize if I can only give you one—contrary to what you think, this is a very important gift to me.”
“I-I” He couldn’t speak because he’d never met an unstinting noble like you. He wanted to say thank you while hesitantly taking it from your hand, but he was too shocked to properly coordinate a sentence. Just when he gathered the courage to open his mouth was when you rushed to the blue-haired man who just came out of the door.
“Are you leaving now?” Your voice turned sweet unlike the passiveness with him.
“Mhm, you’ll probably never see me for a few years. Good for you.” The man replied before opening the carriage, lending you a hand, and waiting for you to go in before him.  The door was shut and his eyes followed the moving carriage until it turned to the street.
Thoma listened to the conversation with envy, wanting to be the man beside you who could be able to speak freely. He wonders when he’ll get his chance like that, or if he ever will.
Memories of a long distant past flashed back in his mind when he sees you in front of him matured with a kinder tone. He bites his lips, composing himself before confidently saying his name; honored to be serving the older girl who now became the empress.
“Thoma. My name is Thoma, Your majesty.”
As the maid brushes your hair for the night, you suddenly spoke of your thoughts about the gardener. The encounter with him earlier was bugging your mind, it’s something you can’t put your finger on.
“I feel like I’ve seen him before. It’s weird.”
“Who is it?” The young maid asks, a smile creeping on her lips from your advancement in socialization. “The gardener. He looks familiar.”
“Maybe you saw him walking around the palace. Aside from taking care of plants, he’s also quite a fixer in the palace.”
You raise your brows. “Fixer? What does he fix?”
“He just has a wide array of connections with the outside people and is very friendly.” Her eyes linger on your stoic expression. “Don’t worry! It’s not anything illegal, he just helps people because he can.” She replies and your mind is boggled by someone so angelic. You don’t think it’s true; no one’s that good in this world to help and ask for nothing in return.
Clad in a sleeveless dress for the warm weather, you go looking for Thoma once again. Something inside makes you want to know him more, approach him and satiate your curiosity about the man. You soon arrive at the greenhouse but he’s not there. Is he neglecting his work? You only saw him playing with the animals last time too.
“Tsk” You let out a sound as you always disapprove of slackers. Yet as you pass by the array of blooming flowers and shaped hedges, your mouth is shut and unable to judge him any further. It is very tiring to look around the garden when your eyebrows are starting to furrow and your temper rising. Where in the world is he?
Clearing your throat before shouting “Thoma!” Your voice embarrassingly echoes, cringing when the sound reaches your ears. You sigh. Annoyed by your wasted time and so you turn to leave. But a cheerful voice answering back to you has you turning around in a twirl.
“Empress (y/n)! Good morning!” Running to you with sweat shining on his body, he has a grin plastered on him despite the obvious hardship in his clothes. Thoma was holding a rake, apron, boots, and gloves all dirtied by soil. To interrupt him in his job made you feel guilty along with how he handles all the gardenwork himself.
Your eyes remain pitifully on his figure, lifting your chin to talk to him and examining his expression; he seems to be pathetically happy in his job. “Are you getting paid well? As far as I know, you’re the only gardener in my residence, I don’t get why the palace is so stingy about hiring gardeners…Do you want a helper?” You ask him and Thoma’s eyes widen, startling you too.
“No! I’m getting paid really well!” He shakes his head like a puppy. “I don’t want any helper. I can handle things by myself here! There is no hardship when I’m serving the empress.” He spoke.
What flattery this commoner uses.
“If you’re not satisfied with your pay, complain to me directly. You have every right to complain by how hard you’re working. Thank you for taking care of the gardens, it’s a pleasant sight to wake up to.”
At your words, his heart swells and a blush tints his skin pink. For you to say that what he had worked hard on is a pleasant sight to see makes his stomach do somersaults, his heart clamoring to get out of his chest. He only saw you that one time but he felt like he spent his years thinking about you.
He was a mere commoner far away from you, he could only hope to be the servant by your side.
“It’s my job to keep the gardens in good shape. Ah, I recently cleared the grass on the hills, it’s much smoother now and good for barefoot. Do you want to see it?”
“Hills? There are hills in the palace?”
“Yes, I myself was surprised when the territory of the palace extends there. It’s a lot of work for me…but thanks to technology I’m not that tired!” Thoma waves off your worries of overexerting and you smile, amused by his enthusiasm and youthful air.
“Thoma, are you younger than me?” Your question throws him off guard, a deeper never-ending blush crawling on his cheeks. He frequently hears that ladies nowadays prefer older men, and to answer his age in front of you…
“Yes.” He replied with his head down. You laugh at how cute he was, you never had a younger person close to you before.
“Why are you sad? Isn’t it good to be young?” “Not that good.”
The walk to the hills was short but with a lot of mud and rocks, thankfully the sun dried those up except for sticky parts that you had to look out for. Clutching your dress to avoid them from touching the ground, Thoma sees that you’re struggling to take steps. He wants to help but how? He cannot carry you carelessly and it would be inappropriate to hold your hand and dirty it, so he can only wait for you to complain.
But you don’t utter a word as you arrive and finally step on lush greenery. The heat doesn’t stop you from admiring the azure cloudless sky, the blue extends to the sea that unexpectedly showed up. Far from you yet visible are the rocky mountains of Liyue and the neighboring Fontaine.
“I didn’t know this place was so high up.” You mumble among yourself and Thoma looks at your impressed face, satisfied.
“You can go barefoot. It’s safe, there’s no worms or anything, you won’t catch a disease.”
“How can you be so sure? Do you have microscopic eyes?” You question him with a joke and he laughs, the smile affecting you too. “I personally raked the hills for your feet. Your body is delicate and therefore needs to be taken care of.”
Is it just you or does the last sentence sounds weird? Thoma seems to have been thinking the same as you when he suddenly runs off to the middle to hide his flush. And you instinctively follow him before taking off your shoes, taking them in your hand.
The green beneath you tickles your feet, a smile naturally owning your lips as you remember the days gone by. Running around the hills like a child, discarded of any responsibility as you let out the happiest you’ve been since arriving at the palace.
You hover over him while Thoma then squats and picked up a red flower that looks like a toy.
It was a windwheel aster, the greenhouse already has it but seeing it swaying alone in the hills is something to see. Thoma clumsily gets his tools from his pockets and trims the roots, your eyes following his skilled hands curving and clenching.
The flower now looks like it came from the market, cleaned and vibrant.
Thoma sheepishly hands you the flower and you take it, chuckling at how delicate and fragile it looks in your palms. You spin it around to let it catch the wind and it starts to look like the toys you used to enjoy as a child. Seeing it has you reminiscing your childhood, even though it was not all rainbows there were certainly still happy memories.
“Thank you for this. It’s such a common flower but you can’t deny that it’s still beautiful.”
“Do you like flowers?”
You nod. “Yes. I like flowers. But the bad thing about them is that they wither quickly, only to be thrown away or kept in a forgotten book. There are synthetic flowers now for decorations and last longer, but it doesn’t have the same texture and fragrance.”
Thoma nods in agreement and catches himself off guard by his unexpected question.
“Will you throw away the one I gave you?” He doesn’t know what came over him to ask you such a bold question. It shouldn’t be his business with what you do to your gifts, just like what you said back then.
But when you said that you’re keeping it.
“I’ll treasure this. I received many gifts but this one is the most interesting in a while.” He felt like he was the happiest man in the world.
“Empress. Real flowers are always better.” You suddenly look at him to see a serious expression on his face, but nonetheless, it’s paired with a smile.
“Go for the one that lasts a short time but is real rather than putting up with a fake.”
“Where is this coming from?” It sounds sentimental.” You raise an eyebrow at the younger man and he lowers his head before looking right into your eyes. Green orbs that look like jewels dig into your own as you anticipate his reply to you.
Never did you know that someone who’s supposed to be far from you is the one to be your companion.
“I noticed that you’re lonely in the palace. I presume you were lonely too when that man left.”
“What man?” Your heart suddenly quickens, your mind hurting from the shock; afraid of which man he’s talking about. If he’s talking about the prince then you’re in grave danger. You don’t really want him to know your unfaithfulness to the emperor.
“I saw you back then when you were young and I was a child.”
You let out a breathy sigh of relief when he talked about a different scene. But when did that happen? You suppose this was the sense of déjà vu you felt when you saw him.
“You were always cold and mean, you were not smiley except when you were with him.” Thoma was once again splashed by the waves of inferiority that he felt back then. It’s so wrong for him to be glad that there’s no one by your side, that you’re lonely and he’s given the chance to make you smile. But at the same time, he feels sorry for the woman he likes that she’s always frowning before.
Thoma is conflicted, and at this moment he finally understood what his mother said with her weak lips.
Love makes us conflicted; it makes us do things we’re not supposed to. It makes us step beyond our boundaries and puts us in a position that could never be taken back. You can fight the way it overtakes your heart but fools let love devour them.
“If you need a friend, I’m right here. I’m always here.” Thoma smiles at you yet your heart feels painful. You know that smile very well, you could read him too easily.
“I do not dare of becoming something more. But I dream of being the one that brings you happiness…even as a friend.”
This was not a confession of love for he had no courage to spell it out for you. This was a request to be your friend. The only line Thoma could cross.
Tumblr media
Gazing out the window and onto the gardens was you who cannot sleep. Tossing and turning to find a comfortable position yet your eyes don’t feel heavy. He seemed like a good guy and won’t pursue you further, perhaps you can be friends with him. Unlike Kaeya who left you hanging with those words of his.
Speaking of the prince; you puff a sigh, blowing your hair harshly and getting out of the bed to call a servant. You and him can’t continue to be like this, it’s been weeks since the royal portrait yet he didn’t contact you even once. You cannot send letters to each other brazenly too since the palace servants already advised you. But this time, its time to set things straight.
“Edith.” You call for the servant who’s right out the door. She seems startled that you know her name yet she puts down her things and rushes to you.
“Yes, Your Majesty?”
“I’ll be sending word to the prince’s residence. Please relay my message.”
You watch the attendant scurry off from your balcony; resting your head against your palm as you contemplate on what you should say. This time you’re dressed appropriately with your whole body covered; no intention to change into something provocative.
You make your way to the greenhouse earlier than the expected time. Just to check what the garden looks like in the night. Placing the lamp on a surface you look up to see how the crystalflies gather around the greenhouse. The array of colors flying and illuminating the darkness was always inexplainable to scholars. But this kind of beauty needs no explanation as the only thing you could do was admire.
Admire or they run away.
But our instinct is to touch and satiate our curiosity. And so, you come closer to a light blue crystalfly. The other ones fly away when they sensed your presence, and your silly attempt to be stealthy goes for naught when your fingers hover the creature and it flies.
You turn to follow where it goes, only to see Kaeya standing right at the glass doors. A shock straight to your heart as his eyes replace the cryo crystalfly’s light that passed right beside him. A moment of unspeakable regard for the other as you’ve not seen him for a long time.
The moonlight penetrated the greenhouse, shining upon some flowers that made them even more enchanted. In this light, Kaeya thought you looked so beautiful. So mesmerizing that you can’t help but want her.
You were good enough to him to allow a night of intimacy while the others could only look in the distance. If he crosses the line, you’ll only be farther away. He should stop this greed now.
“Kaeya, I’m glad that you came tonight”
It’s ridiculous really. Never has he thought to feel his stomach churning from your words.
He smiles. “I could never turn down a request from you.”
“I heard you’re preparing to ascend to crown prince next year.” You bring up the word circulating in the palace. It caused a ruckus for the ministers on who to support. Because ever since from the start, the crown prince and the empress’ faction are always opposing each other.
Kaeya nods while scratching his nose. “Yeah. Those pesky old men won’t leave me alone if I don’t have my coronation next year.”
You chuckle and walk closer to him. Kaeya stops to look to observe you, his playful self long gone. Every patter of your shoes has his breath on a hold. To see you right there in front of him just like how you looked that night makes his heart pound painfully.
“I want to cut to the chase. It won’t be good if we’re found.” You say, facing him and once again see his signature garments that showcase his chest. He will be cold.
“You know why I called you here right? We left off things a little heated last time. I want to settle things between us once and for all.”
Your knowing smile cut through him.
“I’m listening”
“If I remember, we agreed that it would be a one-time thing. But perhaps feelings got in the way and…we hoped for something more. But I came here to tell you that cannot happen.”
As Kaeya was forced to stand and listen to every word from your mouth, he finally saw how insensitive you were to his feelings. You know he liked you yet you kept on and on about how wrong everything was. Yet the only one to blame was himself. For foolishly falling for you and eating up his own words.
He bites his lip and heaves out a shaky sigh, his mind already figuring out where to run.
Your voice resounds back to him slowly.
“…I’m really sorry. But it’s better for you to focus on becoming crown prince and gaining the power you need. You need to put yourself first and be selfish sometimes. Don’t let others hurt you that easily.”
‘Just like right now’
“I know. But what if me being selfish is to be with you?” Kaeya lifts up his head,
looking for anything in your eyes that was equal to the dwindling flame inside of him.
He was desperate enough that his eyes fooled him for thinking that your glossy eyes were of separation, but they were really of pity. Yet a man in misery always falls into delusion of what he wants to see. The brain cannot see the heart suffering and so it projects however pathetic those wishes are.
Kaeya inches closer to you with slow steps, your back hitting the center table of pots, and a yellow flower appears from your peripheral.
“Are you sure of your decision? You told me to put myself first and be selfish…but all I really want is you. I don’t have any power, the noblemen belittle me, I don’t remember my mother, my father doesn’t care for me, and I was a replacement for a night, how long do I have to keep on losing!” He shouts, gripping your shoulders painfully tight as the crystalflies scatter away from the both of you.
The once glorious scene of the greenhouse long gone.
You didn’t like his touch. Your sharp fingernails attach themselves to his hand as you pry them away.
“Why are you asking me that?” You voice turned cold and brooding, snapping Kaeya out of his angry trance.
“Shouldn’t you complain it to the ones above why they made your life eerily pathetic? —I don’t like it when someone blames me for something I didn’t do.” You sneer at him with furrowed brows, your anger made clear. “I am very much sure of my decision.”
You didn’t want the closure to end up like this.
“And a word of advice Prince Kaeya. Touching the empress carelessly like that will have you punished. You were clearly hostile just earlier.” You whisper. “I told you didn’t I? Stop dwelling on the past and continue anew. Please heed my advice.”
He finally fucked it up.
“I’m sorry.” Was the only thing he could say. He can’t even meet your eyes in shame.
And at that your heels clack away, its sound against the cobblestones replaying in his mind like a faraway dream.
He stares at the yellow carnations for a while when a light green crystalfly perches itself on top of the flowers.
“Are you telling me something?” He must’ve gone insane from the heartbreak when he’s now talking to a creature. “Then let me make one last wish to the heavens above…” He’s entranced at the glowing light of the crystalfy, thinking it’s some sort of messenger to Celestia.
Many wonder why the idea of wandering is acknowledged in Teyvat, traveling from cities to mountains to lone seas. And it all stems from the legend of healing many moons ago. The people of the holy kingdom are devout believers that the journey of healing should start with their nation. They were the so called gateway to Celestia.
“Travel the nations and take as many time as you want. Then come back to your hometown to see if anything’s changed.”
“I have no right to complain because I should be asking for forgiveness instead. I stole what’s his in the first place.” He leans against the yellow carnations and sighs.
“I think this punishment is enough.”
Kaeya prays that this time, his stupid father would finally be with you.
Tumblr media
The fast-paced rush of pages resounds through your room, the scent of flowers tickling your nose, taking you back to the night three days ago. Kaeya has left the palace to visit his mother’s relatives in Mondstadt, an aristocratic family known as the one who governs the holy kingdom’s economy.
“Ragnvindrs…” You mindlessly whisper as you try to find out his reason for visiting them.
A heavy burden was placed on Kaeya’s shoulders as soon as he declared his preparations on becoming the Crown Prince. The backing of that clan will make things harder for you, heavier on the burden that’s placed on your shoulders.
You stare at the unopened letter, wax sealed with your house’s emblem, a figure you didn’t want to see anymore. ‘Why? Why now?’ Your face twitches as you close your eyes, shutting the Teyvatian history book with a thud as you take your leave.
Tumblr media
The rustle of leaves alerts Thoma on who’s coming, he leaves the plants he’s tending and stands up straight ready to greet whoever it was, only to bow down and lose his posture upon seeing your face.
He was in the greenhouse to take shade since the noon sun was too strong. His white shirt was soaked and previewed his defined body underneath. It’s funny how you were so sad earlier but a heated flush crept up your cheeks upon seeing him. His body rather.
“Thoma. Do you have a while?”
In the extended part of the greenhouse, Thoma who took a quick shower in his lodge, prepares a blanket on the grass, motioning for you to sit down while he prepares the snacks from the woven basket. You mutter a thanks, helping him arrange the sandwiches until you see the long black bottle packed inside.
“Did you bring wine?” You look up to him at shock, taking out the elegant glass marked with a dandelion. He looks at you in embarrassment, his ears flushing as he tries to explain where the wine came from. He looks very much amusing.
“T-that painter left it for me before leaving. Saying it’s the finest wine you’ll ever taste in your whole life.” Thoma scratches his nape while fumbling with the contents of the basket, your lips bitten to prevent yourself from chuckling.
“Why haven’t you opened it?”
He finally finishes preparing and sits down next to you; the proximity was not a bother.
“If this wine is that special, then the moment it should be drunk should be special too.” He says while holding the wine by the neck. He pops it off with his corkscrew and the sound makes you jump, a chuckle leaving his lips at your reaction.
“I thought you’ve heard your fair amount of wine popping.” Thoma comments, pouring the soft liquid onto your glasses.
“The sound always takes me by surprise. Its common to flinch.” You take a bite of the sandwich, the filling pleases your taste buds as you nod in approval. “But wait…you’re drinking on duty?”
He stops and realizes it’s the empress he’s conversing with. Not some buddy from childhood. “Oh-“
“I’m kidding, don’t worry a sip isn’t going to do anything.”
Nostalgia hits you right there on the first night you drank wine. A small smile appears as you visualize the starry night against the clear blue skies.
“You remind me so much of my friends back there.”
“Where are they now?”
You swallow down the last bit of sandwich before answering. “Busy with their own lives. Lost contact after the wedding and before that.” Thoma mumbles an apology while you dismiss the gloomy atmosphere.
“You’re good at cooking and gardening. How come you’re single?” At your brazen question, Thoma almost chokes on his opted grape juice, forcing to swallow the sweet liquid as he racks his brain for an answer.
“That’s not my cooking…I always get gifted snacks from the maids.” He admits, and you look down at the carefully decorated goodies in front. Now, it looks familiar.
“And I don’t want to get married yet. Rushing marriages aren’t my style.”
“Good thing you’re not a noble.” You joke and smile playfully.
A sinking feeling settled onto Thoma’s chest on the words you spoke. It was not a good thing on his part. If he was a noble, he’d never had to experience the hardships his mother and him went through. And maybe—he’d have a chance with you.
Although in the world of nobles, there are still who are below in the food chain. That would probably be him if the circumstances were different, still below.
“Why are you chowing down like a monster? Have you not had lunch yet?” He asks upon seeing the near empty platter. You shake your head, mouth stuffed with snacks.
“I’m sending you back-“ “mmh!” A muffled sound of protest so easily understood with your furrowed brows. You swallow down the last piece inside your mouth, and finally spoke. “Do not even think of sending back without my permission. I came here to escape that stuffy room.”
“Why?”
A sigh leaves your lips, letting go of Thoma’s arm that you gripped. “Someone important is coming soon.” “Who?”
“…My uncle. He’s the reason why I’m in this palace.”
Never has he thought he would understand the world of the nobles, but he did through your point of view and the personal stories you told. By befriending the lonely empress did he get his short-lived happiness.
He rushes to his little bedside table, his green eyes lingering on the resin preserved Cecilia. A quill dipped into the black ink as the hand then hesitates on what to write.
If he knew everything was going to be stolen just like that, he would’ve made a longer letter. He would write into the midnight until he feels his hand cramp just to assure you with words that’ll bring you comfort.
Thoma hoped he would see you before spring ends. Before some of the most beautiful flowers close and slumber for a long time. He was sure you’d love it.
But your attention was focused on the deafening sound of the opening of the gates, the horse hooves heightening your nerves, and you debating on whether to open the intricate envelope with the pressed flower.
The announcement of his name rings and you chose to leave it at the vanity, grabbing the nearest brush, making yourself presentable like a prized lamb.
You stand up yet stop; and in a whirl you desperately bend over the vanity, frantically opening the envelope, unfolding the letter, and reading the contents before your eyes.
“I filled the garden with new plants. So that you would feel like you own this place as the new empress. Erase all your bad memories of other people here, I replaced the ones you talked about in the greenhouse.
I know you feel powerless and lonely, I do too. But it’s alright since we have each other. I really can’t do much but listen to you quietly, so I hope that’s enough.”
p.s. Am I good at comforting?
Thoma finishes the letter with a smile on his face. His hands stretch from the hour-long sitting position as a yawn leaves his mouth. He stands up to get a glass of water when he hears the knock on his wooden door along with an inquiry of his name.
“Is Mr. Thoma here?”
You let out a shaky sigh as you hide the letter on the drawers, running quickly towards the door, and opening it to be met with the disappointing sight of bowed heads.
Thoma knows it was just a spring time crush. There were too many reasons hindering him ever since from the start.
He’d wait for a hundred springs if it meant seeing you again. Even if it was hopeless.
How cruel fate is.

As the flight landed my excitement raised and reached the level of clouds, i felt elephants jumping in my stomach, oh my god i still can't believe I'm already in korea, my hometown.
Collecting my luggage, i ran straight to the gate and as I walked outside I found my precious girls waiting, bridget was holding iced coffee and a beautiful flower bouquet while flora was trying to find me in the crowd of people ahead of me, as approached closer and then they saw me clearly. I ran and embraced them in my open arms, we shared the most awaited group hug, I can't explain what i felt now I was so happy and emotional and excited and nervous. We pulled out of the hug just to see tears in our eyes and pulled back in for another good minute before pulling ourselves out.
"Welcome back to Seoul, babe" flora said as she hugs me again, these hugs are the most beautiful thing in the whole entire world and these are those hugs which I craved for every single day when I'm back in Seattle.
"Woah woah, stop it. She needs to breathe" Bridget remarks sarcastically on which flora replied.
"Don't be jealous babe, she is not your boyfriend, but maybe mine" i chuckled seeing their bond still the same as before and on what flora said thought she was joking,
"Eww Whatever, this is for you my dear" bridget handed me the bouquet of beautiful flowers and iced coffee. When I looked closely at the coffee cup to see the shop name, I recognised that it was the same, my favourite cafe from my childhood. That cafe was across the road of our neighborhood, The old interior with the smell of old books and coffee beans spread every corner of the cafe, At that time I wasn't interested that much in romance novels because I was only thirteen years old, who hasn't tasted the addiction of it yet. Usually I went there with Bridget and flora to share the secret and the tea we overhead and sometimes with my parents just to enjoy a little precious family time. And sometimes when I'm sad, the day I got to know we had to move out of the country, the sky cried with me. I was a little girl sitting near the window with my comic book and a little plushie, while the same smell spread in the whole cafe with the rain sounds coming from outside. The owner had a good friendship with me he was a nice uncle as the same age as my dad, he gave me free cookies and I shared all the things with him. He smiled and said he was gonna miss me, and i cried even harder and then he gave me free pastry and apologized, 'everything is gonna be alright moon, and when you're older you can come back to us' he added and those words stuck in my heart and I said yes for moving Seattle just to came back Seoul again.
I sighed recalling all those memories "you don't know how much I missed this" I said as i made a pout getting flashbacks from the past and a tear drop rolling from my eye, those days were the golden days of my life. "Thankyou".
"Well we didn't tell mr.owner you're back in Seoul" flora said having a small smile."We can go there someday to meet him" she added blinking her doe eyes for a few time. I nodded removing the tears from my face and passing a weak smile.
"Enough cry session for now, How long will we stay here like this, let's go to the dorm" bridget said as she opened the dunk of the car and started putting all my luggage and flora helped her while I settled myself on the backseat and took a picture of the flower bouquet and coffee.
"Oh... and she has to meet Miss Yang now, I'm scared" flora said as she sat on the drivers seat putting her seatbelt.
"Is she that scary" I asked still looking at my phone and peacefully sipping my coffee devouring the same taste as before
"Yeah very much" Bridget replied "but not for me...it's better if you don't run into her that often" she added and then flora said.
"Yeah or else she always needs a bare minimum thing to put restrictions on, she is kinda obsessed with them I guess, weird as hell"
"Yeah she thinks the whole college was her's, huh poor thing" bridget said as she took a sip of her coffee.
"For now just meet her like an innocent nerd girl, and take a rest now you had a long day to go" flora said passing me a soft smile through the mirror.
"Oh yeah the freshers party, I need to select my dress" bridget said as she turned her head to look at me while having a mischievous grin, "oh moon have you selected anything for the party?" She blinked a couple of times
"Not yet, I need to check in my luggage to see what options i have. I didn't pack something special for the party though" i replied still enjoying my coffee.
"I knew it" she almost jumped from her seat and flora's eyes widened and she flinch from a jumpscare, "good, I have a perfect dress for you" she added and her corner was fully lifted making a perfect grin with her lips. "I'm so excited" she said again and me and flora giggled.
"Got it" i said leaning back to the seat, sitting comfortably closing my eyes, it was an exhausting journey from Seattle to korea but it was all worth it, I was excited to live a new part of my life to met new people and make all the good memories and mistakes as well, life is not perfect all the time and I have to face everything that was already written on my fate.

Hiii, Jia! I have a few questions!
1. When you want to go on a stroll, where do you go? Which Skyrim region is best for long, relaxing walks, considering that there's a big amount of mudcrabs and bears....
2. Opinions about vampires and vampirism?
3. Do you play an instrument?
4. Who did you help, Faendal or Sven?
5. Who did you go with, Ralof or Hadvar? (Side note, they should just forget about the civil war and kiss, am I right?)
6. Have you been to other parts of Tamriel? If yes, tell me all about it, girl.
7. On a scale of 1 to 10, how romantic would you consider yourself?
8. Drop the haircare routine, girl, I NEED IT!
I hope I didn't ask too many, I got carried away and BARELY stopped myself :)))
Oh, all these questions for me? *she beams heartily and you can discern the little tooth gap she has between her front teeth* Thank you so much!
It's rather strange, but the first thought that came to my mind was the bogs around Morthal. I know that it is most likely not the typical place one would think of for a relaxing walk since mudcrabs, frostbite spiders, trolls, and all sorts of wild beasts lurk there more than any other place, but... But I love it. Hjaalmarch's flora is ever so rich in alchemy ingredients! Isn't it so fascinating? In its gloomy, misty groves, you can sense the hum of all magical energies, you can almost feel the bitterness of the Deathbells and Nightshades upon your lips. It's my favorite place I think, when... when troubles are clouding my mind, and I stride through it, gathering my ingredients. That way, I feel like I can relieve a portion of my tension...
Like werewolfism, I wouldn't choose vampirism for myself, for I know firsthand how uncontrollable they both can be. I have a good friend, Serana—Gods, I miss her a great deal—who is a vampire. And not just any vampire... She—she is a Daughter of Coldharbour. You know how a young maiden becomes a Daughter of Coldharbour, don't you? *gradually, you see her eyes darken, and she drags a rattling breath before she continues* A-Anyway... Serana has told me in detail what it's like to be a vampire—the hunger, the thirst is everlasting, and naught but blood can satiate it. Food, water—everything feels like dust in their mouths. The sun makes their frozen blood boil until it threatens to spill out of every pore of their skin, and they melt into bloody ashes. I think... I think, in reality, they suffer inside their own bodies, and for that, I cannot bring myself to hate them...
I'm very much afraid I'm not so musically inclined, although I used to sing when I was a child, and I'd love to learn how to play the lute. But... But I adore it when my dear heart sings... *she smiles shyly and lovingly* When I hear his sing-song voice hymning a theme forgotten and foreign from another worlds or eras, it's like hearing the most melodious lutes coming from the most talented ever lived.
Maybe... Maybe I have sabotaged them both... *she shuffles nervously from one leg to the other* It's not my fault they were both trying to win Camilla's heart in ways that brought out their toxic masculinity! The woman deserves better.
My memories of Helgen are... hazy. No matter how much I try to push myself, there are little things I can recollect. I was numbed, I was—drugged. I only waited for the moment when my head would be finally chopped off and would be put out of my misery. *you see her nervously picking her thumbs* I almost mechanically followed Ralof. He is a very good man, both he and his sister's family. They offered me soap and hot water, clean clothes, and food, and they let me sleep under their roof for a night. This, I'll never forget. Oh! *her face suddenly went from melancholy and mournful to bright and playful* Do you really believe they have fallen in a fateful love?
After I fulfilled my destiny as a Dragonborn, I had some... visions, I believe they were—of a city bearing the sigil of a black Wolf beneath a grey background; I had never seen this city not once in my life, but I knew it wasn't of Skyrim's. It was built upon a great cliff, and all around it, thick woodlands arose and encroached it. In my dreams, I wandered along this city on a central street that always ended up in a glorious chapel. It towered majestically before my eyes, almost touching the heavens, while it shone entirely with light—light without source or beginning, uncreated and divine, commanding every wound in my soul to heal. I raised my eyes and witnessed how this light belonged to a monumental figure in the shape of a dragon, wholly wreathing in holy fire. As I immediately kneeled and prostrated before Akatosh himself, who stood atop the chapel and looked down at me, his humbled creation, the Dragon God spoke to me, though his voice was that of a man's, most warmly and tenderly, as if he'd known me for years, and he said, "Welcome to the city of Kvatch, my child." *she lifts her emotional gaze at you* The only place I'd ever long too much to go, not in dreams anymore, would be Kvatch—the place that gave birth to the line of my father.
Nowadays? *she chuckles and her cheeks glow alight* I give myself a 10 out of 10. I had my romantic heart stomped on once, but now... Now I had it healed again.
I like to bathe it early every morning when I can, with my favorite soap being a mixture of lavender and snowberries that I made myself in my alchemy lab. But since my hair tends to be quite… unruly, like me, as Miraak keeps telling me, my secret to being able to brush it is to spread a little bit of honey in the ends, and it quickly gets so silky smooth! After I brush my hair, I usually activate a gentle flame cloak spell to dry it faster. I never let it unbound, even though this tends to be quite appreciated by Miraak, unless I'm in Heljarchen Hall… I always have it braided, and so, with each braid, I like my plaited mane to resemble a dragon scale that misses my human body. (From this ask game!)

Substitute Lovers - Sage Lesath
Friends with benefits with Felix? Sure!
Going drinking with Sage? Hell yeah!
Facing the mortifying vulnerability of letting your feelings towards Sage be known? Absolutely not!
I have no idea where this fits into any route/timeline but here we are.
Also, I <3 catman sm but I haven't written anything in years so
Warnings: Alcohol, slight NSFW? (nothing graphic imo, either way minors DNI)
Word count: 4,115
You should have known. With a building like Fathom creaks and groans are to be anticipated, not unlike the modest home you grew up in. Unfortunately, the groans you heard had less to do with the settling foundation than you would’ve hoped.
He was there, as you expected. Your eyes pass over the figures on the bed to the flowers struggling by the bedside table, wilted petals mimicking the spots of paint peeling from the aging windowsill.
Your efforts to feign blindness did little to convince the two men of your ignorance of their situation. Over the sound of your blood vessels opening their floodgates to color your cheeks (Is it normal for a heart to beat so fast?) a familiar, low chuckle made itself known.
He’s going to be so proud of himself for this later.
It was too late. Regrettably, you had already caught the sound of a sharp gasp as the stranger nearly knees Sage in the chest, hands reaching for unfound garments settling for something, anything, to cover his body with something more forgiving than an unanticipated stranger’s gaze.
“Gods, Sage”, you breathe, whether to him or yourself you are unsure. “A gentleman would’ve locked the door at least.”
The flowers (Marigolds? Giant dandelions? To Felix’s dismay, you had yet to master the many flora of Astrea), no longer the leading act for your distraction, now seem to point you towards his direction when he speaks. Your previous focus now broken, your mind takes the opportunity to relish new stimuli to drink in.
The self-satisfied flip of his long hair over his shoulder. His now unoccupied right hand lazily rising and calloused fingers attempting to soothe the flushed skin of his neck, rubbing idly up and down for a moment. The matching blush high on his cheeks as he cocks his head towards you, mouth moving-
“...and besides, people don’t come home with me for the gentleman treatment. Though I’d be glad to demonstrate for you another time.” Sage’s retort shatters your trance. You make a mental note to bury your gratitude for the distraction deep, deep down.
“Awfully rude of a host to make plans in front of a different guest.” Your mouth manages to work out before your brain fully catches up to the gravity of the situation. “Your abysmal etiquette aside - think you’ll be done in an hour or so?”
The nameless partner (you wasted no time nicknaming the poor bastard “Gasp”, but there’d be no opportunity to inform him of such) makes his presence known again with a hurried “YES!” at the same time Sage shrugs. You know his gesture of uncertainty is vain. If you seriously asked, Sage would escort the stranger out immediately with a few honeyed words of a promise to continue at a later date.
“I’ll be in the kitchen. Come dressed this time, please.” You turned, realizing your hand had never released the doorknob, wondering if you’re gripping it tightly enough to leave a permanent indentation of your fingertips.
“Nice to meet you, by the way!” You yell over the slamming of the door. You’re unsure if the company heard you over the boom of Sage’s laughter. Hand still grasping the doorknob, you allow energy to flow through your fingertips until you hear the click of the door’s bolt locking itself. It’s the least you could do for the poor stranger, after all.
The echoes of your boots through the empty hallways are your only company as you make your way to the kitchen. A silence that would’ve unsettled you in your old home, your old world (Can you even call it that? It’s still there, after all, just…without you), blankets you with comfort as you sit down in a hard-backed chair. Stella has made herself scarce for the majority of the morning, Anisa is out Anisa-ing, and then, there’s Felix.
Felix said he’d be gone for the rest of the week, something about consulting Florian on a poisonous bloom he’d managed to cultivate over the past few full moons, meeting with an ambassador, and other aristocratic errands he so nonchalantly complained about. You and he both knew the true reason for his visit was Ecell’s birthday celebrations, which Florian insisted Felix be present for; even threatening to send Scylla to drag Felix by his ear to the party if he didn’t make it himself. You doubt he’s left his old room for the majority of the day, picking away at the polish on his nails and flipping through old books and memories from his childhood.
                                   *                        *                       *
He has trouble meeting your eyes, after. You’d grown used to this over the past month, batting away the insecurities you refused to bring up with him, and rose to sit on the edge of the bed.
Your own skin burned hot against the cool air that cradled you. Still coming to terms with the reality of air conditioning being a thing of the past, you were grateful for the ever-present draft that plagued Felix’s room.
Felix lay on his back, propped up by pillows, hand across his bare chest. He was beautiful by the very definition of the word, and you counted his steady breaths as time passed over you both. It would be pleasant, except for the knowing.
Neither of you really wished to be next to the other, all things considered. And yet, you found yourselves in each other’s chambers more often than not at night.
He whispered your name and the spell was broken. “Going so soon?”, danced across his lips before his own danced over your shoulders, softly. You choose to ignore the ache bubbling in your chest. Now is not the time for emotion and heaviness. You quiet your internal quarrel like soothing a small child.
“No, just looking around,” you turned to him as you replied, giving him a faint smile. He’s looking at you now through half-lidded eyes, and he returns your grin with one of his signature smirks.
The ache intensifies. You wonder if he can feel it, with the two of you being so close.
“You’re so keen to see the bigger picture of it all. You’ll simply have to forgive whatever impression of me this mess gives you.” He punctuates his sentences by placing feather-light kisses against your cheek.
“That won’t be a problem,” you chuckled. “Since I’m not the one that has to wake up to it.”
You did not realize your mistake of your own accord, but the absence of his lips against you alerts you. Felix’s face is flushed and he’s avoiding your gaze again. He mumbles something along the lines of “No, I suppose it won’t be”, but his attention appears elsewhere. Your hand grasps at his of its own volition but he’s already fiddling with the hem of his sheets.
Felix notices your gesture and entwines your hand with his.The gesture is warm, comforting, and platonic, despite your actions mere moments prior.
“Rime used to say the same thing, about waking up to a mess. We usually slept in his room because of that, but it’s gotten worse since....” Felix trails off, and you don’t have to meet his eyes to know he’s blinking back tears.
You squeeze his hand lightly. There are no words of comfort or condolences. You do your best to focus on Felix. You turn to him and smooth his hair, and offer him your ear to listen and your shoulder to cry on.
You do your best not to sink into bitterness, but a small voice in your head nags you regardless. At least Felix had something to cry about, unlike yourself. The words of flirtation Sage exchanges with you are nothing special, and that’s all you’ll ever be to him - nothing special. An ear and a shoulder at times, but nothing more. A placeholder until the next ear and shoulder came along.
You extract yourself from Felix, reprimanding yourself for the rudeness of thinking of another man while still in Felix’s bed. After a brief moment digging through a pile of your discarded clothes, you find your flask. You return and straddle him, wiping the ghosts of tears from his cheeks and placing the vessel of water into his hand.
He takes a sip and mutters his thanks. “I won’t spend the rest of our time licking my wounds, I promise.” he whispers, taking the opportunity to explore your exposed chest.
“It’s fine. I’ll lick your wounds, you lick mine, and neither of us end up bleeding out all over the place. Win-win,” you begin to prattle on until his mouth finds a particularly tender spot to leave his mark on, and you lose the patience for your usual banter.
He pulls away slightly, enough to look into your eyes but not enough for you to examine his work. “What a fine pair of substitute lovers the two of us make,” he chuckles darkly, his free hand coming to rest on the small of your back.
His words fell to the wayside in your mind as you focused on the way his voice wavered. Is that how you sounded, when you talked about Sage? Felix’s mouth on your ear, your shoulder, and the thought was gone. The night carried on.
      *                        *                       *
The jarring sound of a chair scraping against the floor alerts you to Sage’s presence. You flinch slightly, some of the many dangers of Astrea flashing through your mind.
“Ha! Doesn’t feel so good when someone else is doing the sneaking, huh?” He laughs, and you know this quip will be the only indication of your run-in earlier. No hard feelings. It’s a part of Sage’s charm; the actual charm, not the facade he puts on to lure strangers into his chambers. “Now, what was so important that you had to disrupt my very, very important meeting?”
“That’s your third meeting this week,” you scoff, turning towards him. There’s a familiar disorder to his outfit, evidence of haste as he dressed in the misalignment of his many belts. At least some things will stay the same.
“I’m a busy guy. Your point?” Sage has already lifted his feet onto the table, leaning back in his chair.
“My point would take longer to drill into your thick skull than I have the patience for.” His smile is still easy, despite the threat. He rocks on the back legs of his chair, a silent invitation for you to actually get around to the reason for your earlier intrusion.
“I’m going drinking.” You blurt at last. “You know how I get around crowds. Figured if anyone was going to accompany me, it might as well be someone who enjoys the scenery at least.”
His ears perk up, and he’s as lively as you’ve seen him all day. Under any other circumstances, the glint in his eyes would’ve been enough for you to approach the scheme with the same caution of walking over a frozen lake. Sage’s head bobs from side to side, as though he can hear the gust blow past from your uncharacteristic tossing caution to the wind.
“Gotcha. I do charge a two-drink per hour minimum for my bodyguarding duties, though.” He purrs.
You’re already standing before he finishes his sentence. His head follows your form to the cupboards as you remove two short, stout glasses. He detects the strong, almost sickly, sweet smell before you place the glass in front of him. Sage studies it for a moment - you must’ve picked a damn good hiding spot - before your hand calls his attention. Still wrapped around the perfect match of his own glass, idly, he wonders about the scars across your hands, the indentations of recently-removed rings left on your fingers, lingering evidence of a habit of picking at the skin around your thumb-
“Consider this my deposit, then,” you grin, waiting for the celebratory clank of his glass against your own before downing its contents. Mercifully, Sage grants you the permission you so sought with a muffled “Cheers” before following suit.
“So, any place in mind?”
  *                        *                       *
The dizziness you’re feeling is approaching the fine line between bliss and unbearable. You take another small sip from the glass of water in front of you, tapping your dangling feet lightly on one of the posts of the barstool you’re perched on.
Sage had garnered the attention of a small crowd of onlookers as he engaged any who approached him in an arm wrestling match. The thud of his challenger’s forearm slamming against the creaky table is overshadowed by riotous cheering and laughter at Sage’s victory. His hand, free of his signature gauntlet, roughly grabs the pile of coins on the table before tossing them into the air in a triumphant gesture, his tail flicking as he exclaims there’s more where that came from, asking for the next contestant, all punctuated with jubilant laughter.
He knows how to work a crowd, if nothing else. You whisper to yourself before flagging down the bartender. You order the next few rounds of your drinks, you’re on Sage’s time now, after all, paying for them with the money he forfeited to you in a card match earlier in the evening.
Your corner of the bar was much dimmer and quieter than his. Despite falling into Astrea from another dimension, you wonder how the two of you can exist in two separate worlds while still remaining only steps from each other. Unable to find an answer in the shallow water remaining in your glass, you seek counsel from the newest concoction placed in front of you.
As far as you’re concerned, Sage was the best person you could’ve asked to accompany you on a night like this. He’s got a knack for reading people - Intuition? Instinct? - but he doesn’t pry, content to live and let live. You find yourself humming “Hakuna Matata”, and you’re pulled further into the whirlpool in your head.
“Anything else while I’m here?” The bartender’s eyes looked tired. A sense of camaraderie between the two of you as the opposite end of the room erupts into brilliant hysterics once again.
        *                        *                       *
Golden as the pile of coins jingling in his pocket, his eyes flit across the bar until they settle on you.
“That’s an impressive collection you’ve got there,” he says, taking one of the empty glasses into his hand in mock examination. His voice comes out louder than he means for it to, reverberating through your dizzy ears still as his smirk above you awaits a reply. His face is flushed, pupils all but blown - his collection of drinks couldn’t have been much smaller than yours, you silently conclude, as he moves to spin the glass on its axis like a top.
“Impressive party trick you’ve got there,” your retort is cut short by a hiccup that could only be described as violent. “But what’s really impressive is how you’ve managed to keep your hands to yourself all night-” another hiccup, as Sage’s eyebrow raises. “-really thought you were going to put that one guy’s head through the table about an hour ago.”
Sage’s laughter reverberates through you like echoes bouncing through a stone hallway. You wonder if the pores in rocks are able to soak in the sounds they toss back and forth through spaces like that, or if the echoes just wear them down over time.
“‘S getting late; plus I think this dump shuts down soon anyways,” Even as his words run together ever so slightly, he speaks with a sort of clarity.
Despite his drunken state, he notices as the corners of your lips rapidly fall at his suggestion. There’s visible tension in your shoulders that creeps its way to your jaw. You shake your head slightly, idly swatting him away like an annoying fly that’d crept too close to your meal.
“Seriously, I’m not holding back anyone’s hair tonight,” Sage said slowly, hoping you picked up on the earnestness in his request. “Come on. I’ll even make you a few drinks back home if you want, let’s just go.”
You feel his eyes roll without having to look at him. “Fine. We’ll sober up here for a bit, but damned if I’ll sleep in a booth tonight when there’s a perfectly good bed waiting for me.” Sage grumbles, all but tossing himself down onto the flimsy stool next to you. He glares at the candle waning between the two of you, as though he could intimidate it into remaining lit. You briefly recall something Felix mentioned when you first met, about Sage’s abysmal magical prowess, and as soon as it appeared the memory is soaked in emotions like muddy water.
You extend some of your energy towards the candle and the flame erupts into the air, nearly meeting Sage’s nose. Instinctively, he raises an arm to swat the flame off the counter, cursing gods you’ve never heard of, before he catches your gaze. Half shocked, half something else entirely, he exhales sharply through his nose and shakes his head, the ends of his braid sweeping the surface of the bar.
“Thought you’d be used to hanging out with magicians by now,” satisfaction drips heavily from your voice as you pick through the glasses in front of you.
“So that’s why you brought me out here, to give me a heart attack?” he mutters, choosing to believe it’s the heat of the flame that warms his cheeks when you speak.
“I could’ve done that anywhere. For much cheaper than a night of drinking, I might add,” you chuckle, picking up a textured glass and placing it atop the small candle. The divots in the glass fragment candle’s flame brilliantly, and you wonder how long the two of you have before the bartender tosses you out on the street.
Sage’s attention is briefly called to the now-refracted candlelight moving across the table, but his eyes eventually wander back to you. He has no issues seeing in dim light, but he finds himself grateful for the now-illuminated space between the two of you. The tautness in your jaw has yet to subside even as the light bounces from your eyes like the sun reflected on moving water - have there always been so many colors in them? Images of you over the months he’s known you flash through his mind in comparison for a moment longer than he’d care to admit, and he shakes his head violently, chastising himself for having too much to drink.
Although the silence between the two of you was anything but uncomfortable, it felt almost painful for you to break it. “I’m thinking of ending things with Felix.” you state matter-of-factly, like describing the weather. The sip of water you take does nothing to quell the burning in your throat, yet you hold onto the glass regardless.
To his credit, not that he’ll ever hear it from you, Sage takes the news in stride. “Want to talk about it? Or not talk, not talking is fine too.”
“I’m not even sure what there is to say,” You mutter. “Other than it’s what has to be done, so I might as well go ahead and do it.”
“I get that.” Sage said, unsure if he actually did get it, but he was no stranger to a sense of duty so that had to count for something.
He didn’t lecture. He didn’t ask why. He didn’t want a list of your reasons, didn’t want to weigh the pros and cons. You nod.
You’re unsure of where you want to go with this conversation. You’re unsure if this should even be a conversation you’re having with Sage Lesath of all people. “I just don’t…I just don’t know how to do it is all, you know.”
Sage offered a noise of approval, eyes fixated on the candle once more. His pulse was pounding in his ears, tail flicking against the legs of his stool.
“I guess it’s not that much of a secret, that we were together, but not together together,” your voice shakes. You haven’t said this to anyone, you haven’t said it out loud even to yourself. “And it’s a good enough arrangement, but I don’t think it’s good for him. For either of us, really. Not when he wants to be with someone else the whole time.” Not when you want to be with someone else, either.
Sage nods. “Look, I’m not exactly the authority on relationship advice,” he says, shifting side-to-side in his seat. “Anyone could tell you that. But you think about it too much-”
“It’s kind of hard to avoid thinking about someone when you’re with them for more than just one night.” You bite at him. Although his hands are clenched, his gaze is level. Understanding. Kind, even.
You wish you could muster up the anger to hate him for that, but you can’t.
“Rime being back or whatever…it messed with everyone. But Rime’s different, and so is Felix. And guess what? He’s with you, not Rime. Felix made his choice a long time ago when hell’s favorite reindeer came back from the dead. And guess where he’s at now? Probably writing crappy love poems to read to you whenever he gets back - or whatever you guys do, no shame.”
You pinch the bridge of your nose as a particularly strong wave of dizziness washes over you. The bartender is off sweeping up the remnants of Sage’s party, obviously preparing to close shop. “Sage, it’s not just about that-”
“Well, what is it then?” He asks, removing your decorative glass from the candle and extinguishing it.
“C’mon Sage, even you know there’s more to relationships than just a - a choice!” you grumble, suddenly feeling the weight of this conversation upon you.
“Oh, I’m well aware of how much more goes on in relationships,” he begins, suggestively, but cuts himself off when he notices your expression. “I don’t know what else you want from the poor bastard. He brought the damn guy back from the dead, but he can’t turn back time and make it so they were never together. They were a thing, and now they’re not. Like I said, you think too-”
“You don’t know what it’s like to be second place, do you, Sage? You feel that shit.” you manage to get out through gritted teeth. Your blood heats up a degree with each word of consolation that falls from his mouth. The idea of him, of all people, telling you to stay with Felix. The compassion he coats your rejection in, without even knowing he’s doing so, ignites a fire in your throat. “Forget it. Forget I said anything.” You do your best to take a sip of water, but struggle to swallow it down.
The subtle waves in your glass alert him to the trembling of your hands, and Sage finds his own raising to take the cup from you.
That was his intention, at least. Looking back on this moment Sage would blame the alcohol, the dim lighting, an imperceptible earthquake that pushed him off his center of balance, if he even claimed he was able to remember it at all, as he overshot and instead grazed the skin of your wrist. He didn’t move. You didn’t move. The room didn’t move. The world didn’t move.
Sage’s mind did move, however, soaking up every detail of this moment. His middle finger resting softly on the pronounced tendon of your wrist, while his other fingers sat atop the thin skin that served as the only barrier between himself and your veins. The tender flesh beneath his calloused fingers keeping him a hair’s breadth away from your heartbeat. Your heartbeat. Another eternal moment passed. He didn’t move. You didn’t move.
The world resumed its former speed with your inhale, shaky as the voice of reason in Sage’s head, and he righted himself. Not entirely able to remember what he’d been trying to do just a moment ago, he settles for taking your glass of water and quickly bringing it to his lips for a sip.
“Sorry, I’m no good at this thing,” he rasped. You’re so much smarter than him; everyone is so much smarter than him. There were no mirror-rehearsed pickup lines, no recycled one-liners, nothing in the recesses of his brain as he struggled to find something to say. Nothing to neutralize the electricity crackling through him as his gaze moves to your lips, spit-damp and slightly parted-
And besides, how could Sage do anything but what you asked?
“Well, you’re better at this than you were at cards, at least,” you turn to hop off of the bar stool, cocking your head at him as you go. “C’mon, bodyguard. Walk me home.”

WASN’T THAT MICO COMIC GOOD?? Did you see the little hints about Rom in the first two parts? I loved that so much and it fits so well with our ideas about them being siblings. I’m so obsessed with the idea that Rom ascended unexpectedly and left Micolash behind, which sort of sent him spiraling into further madness. If I remember right, you have different ideas, but the sibling thing is mutual!! Idk, there’s something so natural feeling about. Kos choosing Rom and Mico being left in the dust, only to go crazy trying to play catch up. I love these characters.
And unhinged madman Micolash is the best. It was so nice to see him in character <3
That comic with Micolash going full psycho mode on a poor Choir member is just...
Tumblr media
I mean there was also the sheer agony of seeing that comic was made in 2016, I feel like Micolash is hardly ever portrayed that way anymore. Maybe Rom decided to also hide the secret of his depraved, mad personality from humanity for a good measure so now everyone blissfully sees him as the cutest blorbo that isn't dangerous at all? heheh; /lh
Also YES for the siblings headcanon club! I honestly just came up with it based on this line:
Tumblr media
It felt like it had to be them based on various tiny things! Each Brain Fluid has different description, and this particular one drops from a female just-head patient guarded by the black Church Doctor doctor! However it doesn't feel for me like THEY are the mysterious brother and sister, since black doctors are lower rank and I feel someone that discovered Arcane has to be the white doctors rank. Lore does say that black ones dispose of "failures" but the white ones are who experiment! Besides, that head calls for Maria for a comfort which is odd if her brother is RIGHT here?
Tumblr media
My latest idea on how the things happened came from not knowing in canon where did OoK's umbilical cord go! So here is the timeline:
🎀 Byrgenwerth obtains OoK's cord after Fishing Hamlet massacre, along with other things, Willem is unsure of how to make the best use of it but intends to investigate its features
🎀 Rom casually goes, 'Wait but if we don't know, why won't we ask his mother? o:' and nobody has a heart to tell her Kos was murdered and cord wasn't "just found laying somewhere" (Caryll attempts to say something but the whole class gives him killer glare). However, this exact question gives Micolash an idea, as the only one who figured by now that every single thing Rom says, even if naive/dumb one, tends to be worth of considering (fate foreshadowing much?)
🎀 He steals the cord and has a hunch to call Rom with him to attempt a ritual of beckoning spirit of Kos with it, trying his hardest to ensure her he wants no harm but instead to advance humanity in the way no such terrible thing can happen again
💦 Kos blesses Rom with eyes, thus making her 'Patient Zero' brain fluids of which could be used to transmit to other people with the water; Micolash gets no eyes but weird telepathic connection with her - similar to Willem/Ebrietas, Izzy/Fauna and... whatever strange thing went down between Ludwig, Laurence and Flora. Being the will of a Great One in mortal world is the closest analogy I could give.
Tumblr media
(I have an idea that after this point the eyes of siblings change from brown to arcane blue... Because Micolash's face data oddly has brown eyes, but his cut-scene model has blue)
💦 Willem is angry when he discovers the insane plan the two pulled, but can't deny that despite being crazy it was genius. (Except he fucking can because Micolash is cursed with never having his contributions acknowledged). But this encounter is not only the root for Research Hall antics, but also for Laurence learning that grieving Great One moms can be beckoned by a child's cord!
💦 Research Hall gets a different formal leader in stand of Willem however in actuality everything there is manipulated by Micolash from the shadows, Insight-granting brain fluids found within Rom's spinal cord quickly become mass distributed and created in large quantity (of course at the expense of other humans), but instead of true progress, it seems like patients are merely suffering witnessing horrors of the Deep Sea. Micolash is THE cruel mad doctor everyone is terrified to get under treatment of, always yelling at patients for being 'useless cowards' upon failure after failure to reach deeper into Sea and giving them more 'water' than they could handle (and always using Adeline as a model patient example -_-)
💦 Some patients discover the alternative - ones reaching for cursed Amygdalae knowledge become Gardens of Eyes (to later to be taken in Byrgenwerth), others discovering the 'stars' to give Blacksky Eyes and some live to become Living Failures. However...
Tumblr media
sjdsahdsgs no, no, sorry, but seriously tho, Maria was soon to suspect that something is wrong and the "progress" with the Sea doesn't seem to be... a good faith, to say the least. That was true; Micolash knows just what Kos wants, remember? Hunter's Nightmare is meant for HUNTERS, yet patients, innocent victims, are there too! And that was Micolash's fault; during his procedures, he'd ensure that combining their sheer terror with arcane would make them good fundament to ensure the creation of the Nightmare, as Kos was weak and her wish alone was not enough. (not saying he didn't still genuinely wish to learn more about the Sea from them...)
💦 Maria begs Brador to get a word out for her because Healing Church would LISTEN to him, and it works out in the end. Micolash is striped of his influence, along the lines of the Church re-purposing itself to seek the abandoned Ebrietas and focusing on the 'stars' for good, much to Micolash's resentment.
☄️ Speaking of resentment! His envy and bitterness towards Rom were increasing, largely based off the fact that Kos chose her as knowledge-bearer, not him. Around this time, he was to take the pain and anger about his failures out on her, rejecting her as a sister, calling her names, asking why Kos picked him as the one to ruin human lives and not Rom because 'you did just fine having ruined MINE!' and so on.. She never was ready to hear something like this from the brother that she was looking for her entire life and idealised. That caused Rom's attempted s*icide by downing way too much liquid, and she had another communion with Kos - never knowing whether it was just a dream or she did go somewhere that day. It was attempt of Kos to truly adopt her as a child upon her pain of 'no longer having family', that Rom rejected because she was unwilling to abandon humanity without even trying to help them against the mess they got themselves into. However, that still gave Rom absolutely unique Insight and properties (and gave her those strange tails).
☄️ Micolash was able to restore his presence and status in Healing Church's 'nerds' faction (that was only Choir by that time) by presenting Rom and her new abilities! Like 'look, I can not only ruin patients, but give them skills none of you can dream about, right? :)' . Rom became the head of the Choir, and the best way to communicate with Ebrietas, especially since Caryll was gone by then.
☄️ Rom's precedent also became an inspiration for the Choir to use little orphaned children to beckon the hearing ear of the Great Ones the best! She had intellectual disability* making her as naive as a child, and just like Micolash, she was an orphan herself. So like... why not use people with the same features, right? Pure naive mind, combined with yearning for a parent.
🕷️ In uncertain time, Rom reconnected with Patches and was able to seek selling herself to Amygdalae - ensuring her association as a 'Spider' despite connection to all three kinds of the divine. It was done under encouragement of Micolash, as Amygdalae knew the secrets most forbidden, all about immortality, splitting soul and body, true nature of the 'Moon' behind the 'Stars', and much more.
Tumblr media
🕷️ Micolash would eventually separate from the Choir and have his own faction, researching the forbidden and knowledge basically opposing the 'stars'! Some left with him, like our friends Damian or Iosefka! Depending on the timeline, Edgar would either fake leaving the Choir with him to be the secret agent, or only appear later after Mico's leaving and...
Tumblr media
🕷️ Rom, however, would stay in touch with him - especially through various reflective surfaces. And because she could use bodies of water to hide things, when Choir provided her a whole giant puddle in where Altar of Grief is now. She would secretly help, down to coordinating his cultists to be undetected, helping him with directions and... reviving body of Queen Yharnam (and Mergo that got fused with her womb, an actual thing happening irl). So the cord of her (eternally) infant could be taken...
And... this is where I get lost. x) No, honestly. I am not sure how she became a true Great One. Since Altar of Grief has her petrified body but we fight her in the lake (astral) and dungeons (physical), I presume she has the same body-soul split as Queen Yharnam, but... how?
I have this scene in my head where Fauxsefka discovers all the lies, secrets and twists Rom was pulling all along, and how she was helping Micolash all along, and how there is now a perpetual ritual to beckon Bloodmoon that was obscured. Naturally she exposes her before everyone, asks her how much Rom truly knew and said nothing, calls her a twisted monster (with only Julie getting defensive). And Rom is not able to explain her motivations, or how she had to play the slow game because Choir people were not ready for harsh truth about the world, nor they had the same approach as Micolash.. She just cannot deliver her point at all, and both ascends and soon turns into stone out of raw panic and despair. She was willing to escape the uncomfortable situation, and she is an idiot god that doesn't realise the extent of her powers, so... this happens. It'd put a permanent tension between Fauxsefka and Julie, that will only truly break later when they have to work together upon return to Byrgenwerth. Also Micolash would probably comment how undergoing something as extreme as becoming a god for a 'dumb' reason was a very Rom thing to do, ahaha.
But yeah, for all I know it could be something else? I just gotta agree with Micolash here - it IS a her thing to do, to accomplish something incredible without trying over a very humane reason.
And I totally agree that he was jealous. And... well, I guess he also did resent her for rejecting Kos' offer. She rejected something Micolash wants above everything else (being Kos' surrogate baby) for the sake of something he has nothing but disdain for (the humanity). He had to hate her, we know this much </3 On the other hand, it is things like this that make me slightly regret picking the siblings idea, because can you even comprehend how much drama it'd contain as a romantic ship, and how satisfying the happy alternative would be?
Tumblr media
But heyyyyy, the story makes sense, right? This is kind of more important! Because I do not have feelings, only logic, right- right...? sighhhhhh
Anyways, you didn't really ask for this, but the ask felt prompting enough, so here are my thoughts on the timeline and the story! Would like to hear yours!
