Hades (Ancient Greek: Ἁιδης), is the God of the Underworld, Funeral Rites, Necromancy, Ghosts, Curses, Dreams, Mining, Metals, and Earthly Fertility, reigns as the sovereign King of Haides, the realm of the Underworld that bears his name.
Namely the Curse of Erinyes, the Curse of the Erinyes is a curse of misery and misfortunes.
As seen here : “GOD OF CURSES & MASTER OF THE ERINYES”
Haides was the god of the most potent curses, those which invoked the fury of the Erinyes. The god was sometimes described despatching an angry ghost from the underworld accompanied by an Erinys to avenge a crime, especially patricide or matricide.
The Erinyes had various other functions as well. They carried out curses, especially those of a parent, and also personified those curses; they were invoked as guarantors of oaths; they prevented humans from obtaining too much knowledge about the future; and they punished sinners in the Underworld. In fact, Heraclitus, an early Greek philosopher, wrote that the Erinyes had control over all cosmic justice.
SO LIKE… CHILD OF HADES WHO has some control or say over the Erinyes?!?! they have their own will so laos like the Erinyes favoring a child of Hades and casually harassing people for them?!?!

Haides's Blessing Deity Oil
"HAIDES (Hades) was the king of the underworld and god of the dead. He presided over funeral rites and defended the right of the dead to due burial. Haides was also the god of the hidden wealth of the earth, from the fertile soil with nourished the seed-grain to the mined wealth of gold, silver and other metals." - Theoi
I work with King Haides to let go of negative attachments, ancestor work, and financial matters. He's newer to my practice, I honour Queen Persephone with a candle beside him. He loves having his wife near him, especially since spring is on its way.
He's firm in his teachings. Honest but can be gentle. Will make you face your inner self and problems head-on.
I made an oil for him to call upon him. I use it to carry him with me, to wear for certain purposes and as a candle-dressing. It helps me with spirit communication, drawing prosperity and protects my heart space when placed on my chest.
You will need
A clean and cleansed jar
Peppermint - Prosperity, connections to the underworld
Cypress - Connections to death, protection, grief
Allspice - Prosperity, inner healing
Clove - Psychic Shielding, prosperity, personal growth
You can either do the folk method or the hot method. You can find my post on infused oils here to learn how to make infused spell oils. I suggest if you are an animist or someone who wants more power from your oils. Speak to the herbs kindly, treat them less like an ingredient and ask them respectfully for their aid and the purpose they'll have in your oil. Use intention. The same goes for the Olive oil.
You can sub any of these, however, Cypress and Mint are historical for him. Along with Olive oil. Try to keep within the theme of the underworld, death, spiritual connection, prosperity, introspection and protection.
Blessings!

Orphic Hymn To Hades
Tumblr media
Orphic Hymn 18 to Pluton (trans. Taylor) (Greek hymns C3rd B.C. to 2nd A.D.):
“To Plouton (Pluto) [Haides]. Plouton, magnanimous, whose realms profound are fixed beneath the firm and solid ground, in the Tartarean plains remote from sight, and wrapt for ever in the depths of night. Zeus Khthonios (of the Underworld), thy sacred ear incline, and pleased accept these sacred rites divine. Earth’s keys to thee, illustrious king, belong, its secret gates unlocking, deep and strong. ‘Tis thine abundant annual fruits to bear, for needy mortals are thy constant care. To thee, great king, all sovereign earth assigned, the seat of gods and basis of mankind. Thy throne is fixed in Haides’ dismal plains, distant, unknown to the rest, where darkness reigns; where, destitute of breath, pale spectres dwell, in endless, dire, inexorable hell; and in dread Akheron (Acheron), whose depths obscure, earth’s stable roots eternally secure. O mighty Daimon, whose decision dread, the future fate determines of the dead, with Demeter’s girl [Persephone] captive, through grassy plains, drawn in a four-yoked car with loosened reins, rapt over the deep, impelled by love, you flew till Eleusinia’s city rose to view: there, in a wondrous cave obscure and deep, the sacred maid secure from search you keep, the cave of Atthis, whose wide gates display an entrance to the kingdoms void of day. Of works unseen and seen thy power alone to be the great dispending source is known. All-ruling, holy God, with glory bright, thee sacred poets and their hymns delight, propitious to thy mystics’ works incline, rejoicing come, for holy rites are thine.”

The soft fertile soil that which plants grow,
the rich minerals that are deep beneath the ground,
I thank you for the passage of the dead, and all those who are under your domain.

in life, i sing the names of my Gods—my King and Queen. Zeus and Hera dearest, whom watch over us and offer us comfort from the pain of our threaded lives. in the heavens above where all life has and will come. She will teach me to love deeper than I have ever known and He will shake down my foundations to help me build them stronger. I will reach my hand out to my fellow life, a stranger that waters the plants of a home I do not live in. my life will celebrate the world and the ways my time here will change it.
in death, I will finally breathe the names of my Gods—my new King and Queen eternal. Kore and Plouton whom dwell deeper than i will ever know. below the soil where all life cultivates and will flourish. She will water the tears of my loved ones and He will offer them the riches of grief from which they will build a new life without me. I will return to the soil from where I came, sustenance for the children that come after me. my death will celebrate the earth and the future that will be built atop my bones.

I don’t wanna look stupid, but I am genuinely wanting some input here.
So like the first deity’s I started to worship are Persephone and haides. I love them to bits, they are awesome and I’ve seen them in 1 or 2 dreams and a couple times in meditation: (I’ve been worshiping them for what I would want to say is 7 or 8 months.)
I can never really feel their presence when I meditate with them or when I light a candle for them.
Apollon on the other hand who I just started worshiping I can feel his energy, I vibe with him. I love it 🥰
But this makes me sad because I wish I had that with Persephone and haides. 🥲
Am I doing something wrong or am I looking too much into this? Any advice would be appreciated!
Khaire, friend! I greatly appreciate your coming to me for guidance, though I don’t know how useful it’ll be.
Personally, I don’t light candles and meditate with the gods. Many worshippers do, but I don’t. :0
Instead, when I’m going through the ritual motions, I watch for signs that indicate the god’s presence and if They’ve accepted (or rejected) the offerings given.
For example, the smoke that comes from burning incense can clue me into the feelings of the divine. If the smoke travels skyward, the gods are present, and They’ve accepted the offering. If the smoke travels horizontally or downward*, I’ll know They’ve rejected it. (*Unless the incense is a gift to the Underworld gods. In that case, downflowing smoke spells approval.)
If I’m not burning incense but instead pouring libations or singing prayers, I look for more abstract clues. For instance, I pour libations to the deathless gods every morning and evening. Whenever I perform these daily rites, I’m left feeling generally happy, peaceful, fulfilled, etc. These positive feelings indicate the god’s presence and acceptance! If I don’t feel any particular way afterward, I’ll use divination to see whether or not They accepted it.
When it comes to Haides specifically, I never expect to feel the full force of His presence. I’m a living mortal, and He is the invisible god of the dead. Additionally, the instantiation of Haides I worship doesn’t participate in the cycle of reciprocity. As such, His attention is never expected or demanded.
Persephone (unlike Haides) does participate in the cycle of reciprocity, so the attention She allots is more consistent. I know Her to be an incredibly attentive goddess, so if you petition Her, I imagine She’ll answer.

𝕻𝖔𝖗𝖔𝖘𝖎𝖙𝖞 𝖔𝖋 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖌𝖔𝖉𝖘?
Something intrigues me... in certain hymns and writings concerning the gods, they are compared or even identified with other gods: Apollo is called Pan with the two horns , Aphrodite is named Hades... It's more disturbing in terms of porosity than a ''simple'' Hecate-Selene association for example!
Is it a question of magnifying a power which would otherwise be relative (to other gods), of making it ever more total?
Interesting !

Music in the underworld was life-sustaining; and this eschatological dimension to the power of music over death was a central element in the association of music and mysteries. Orpheus, whose own mousike revivified when he visited the underworld, offering salvation to those who died as initiates, was a pivotal figure. Now, the new Sappho has presented precious evidence that music making in the underworld, involving a 'resident' musician, goes back to the early sixth century, where it is associated with continuity of existence and with personal merit. Another central idea, already familiar from Sappho (fr. 55) was mnemosyne: within Greek mystery cult, the goddess appears prominently in the gold tablets worn by initiates after death, there representing saving memory both of past life and of the initiation ritual itself. The literary and eschatological aspects of 'memory' ultimately cohere in what Charles Segal admirably called the 'establishment of continuity between separate spheres of existence', that is, between past and present, and between this world and the world of the dead. Mousike as a component of the mysteries had the power to revivify and to perpetuate life after death; and so Wolfgang Rosier was right to consider the possibility of eschatological parallels between Sappho's Muses and the mysteries.
