Impromptu Ramblings about the NEO:TWEWY Demo

In case y'all weren't aware, I've been a pretty big fan of TWEWY for a couple years now, and with the sequel coming out next month, the excitement I feel for this game is greater than ever :) I played the Demo for the first time yesterday, and following a couple views of some livestreams of others playing it, I felt like sharing my (very ramble-y) thoughts prior to the release of the full game. This post WILL contain spoilers for both TWEWY and NEO:TWEWY, so if you want to avoid those from now on, please block the tags: #twewy spoilers, #ntwewy spoilers, #neo twewy spoilers, #ntwewy, and #neo twewy ^_^ Oh, and if you wanna keep up with any other posts I make about my experience with this game, please refer to the tag "kat plays neo twewy" :)

-First things first: I have not watched the Final Trailer and I don't plan on doing so to avoid spoilers, especially after the pre-release era of KH3 where a lot of the later trailers spoiled a lot of the endgame content. That being said, I've seen some minor screenshots from the final trailer including what many believe to be characters from the original TWEWY, namely Shiki and Joshua. That is all I know about the Final Trailer and I would very much like to remain as blind as possible going into NEO :)

-The very first cutscene was quite ominous in the sense that this game is likely going to be about "changing fate" (a recently common theme in Squeenix games, which I do appreciate), perhaps leading off from the end of A New Day in the OG and trying to stop an Inversion of Shibuya. Also worth noting that A New Day had similar aspects in which the main character experienced "future visions" of tragic events, although in A New Day these events were not able to be changed, while in NEO it seems like one of the main "powers" our protagonist has is specifically to rewrite these events and avoid a "bad ending." Very interesting indeed!

-I really like the revamped comic book style dialogue scenes, it's much more fluid and modern, which is an excellent direction for the series to take!

-I would love to have an actual PokemonGO knockoff of Final Fantasy creatures, please Squeenix that would be incredibleeeeee

-Also the LINE stickers??? Are so cute???

-I would just like to point out that Fret is an absolute treasure throughout this entire demo, he's hilarious and I will protect him with my life

-UHHHH don't like that Fret picked up some Reaper Pins just out of nowhere.....or the fact that they're apparently popular all over Shibuya.............did y'all not learn anything from the OG game or what lmao

-Okay so when I first got the "curry or ramen" scene and heard NPCs talking about the new curry place replacing the old ramen place I became IMMENSELY distressed that Ramen Don was totally cut from the game because....well, Ramen Don is a King okay?? But I'm glad to learn that no, he didn't fall off the face of the earth, he's still in business and he's the one opening the curry restaurant lolol. PHEW, crisis averted!

-.....I don't like the sudden appearance of a Wall Reaper and being able to read NPC thoughts. Wtf happened when they left the ramen place??? Are they playing the Game alive somehow?

-Okay so I have my own theories about this "Swallow" character and what they're up to but considering this is only the Demo and I still Have No Idea What's Happening, I'm just gonna say that I think Swallow intentionally led Rindo and Fret to the Crossing so they could join the Game. I mean, add in the fact that Swallow still communicates with Rindo during the Game and you've got yourself a suspicious character right there lol

-"Hey they're shooting off fireworks!" Fret honey that's not fireworks oof (see also: "*laughs* I'm in danger")

-WOOOOOO way to traumatize Rindo right off the bat like that LMAOO

-The visuals for the intro are VERY GOOD, the song is pretty decent until it gets all "screamo" (which I absolutely cannot stand sorry lol)

-Shoka is every Customer Service employee ever and I respect that

-Susukichi went from being "meh" to "WOW THIS GUY IS FUN" in the span of 10 seconds and I also respect that (he is also built like an Absolute Unit which is hilarious)

-The Wall Reapers (and just Reapers in general) seem.....way nicer and more helpful this time around?? Like in the OG the Wall Reapers were SO RUDE gfhjgjdfkhn and yeah I'm sure we'll get some like that but the juxtaposition of the first Wall Reaper in the OG compared to the first one in NEO is insane.

-The puzzles are quite a bit more entertaining this time around even if it's generally the same "fetch quest" formula lol

-"Rindo's Group" way to go Fret HFKJDGHSDFKJ mans really left the default name in there lmao

-OKAYOKAYOKAY so to those who aren't aware I am a MASSIVE SIMP for Sho Minamimoto, he's my absolute favorite and I think about him daily. HIS INTRODUCTION IS. INCREDIBLE. I LOVE IT SM.

-GOD hearing him actually SPEAK FULL SENTENCES is just SO SURREAL I love this sm

-Also the remix of his theme???? NEO TRANSFORMATION????? IT'S SO GOOD????????? It's like gone from a Boss Theme to a more triumphant sounding theme and I am HERE for it (every version of Transformation is just INCREDIBLE and getting a new one is even better)

-I Love Him, Your Honor

-Also idk how exactly but it's kinda weird seeing Sho in the OG vs NEO, cuz while he's mostly the same Insane Math-Obsessed Catboy, he's.....calmed down quite a bit?? Like OG made a whole point of how poorly he cooperates with others (not to mention just being completely unhinged and trying to kill everyone), whereas here in NEO he's......actually kinda working with others??? HELLO???? Sir what happened to you and Neku during those 3 years I would love to know all about it

-I guarantee you Sho is still probably scheming shite and will likely pull some total insane BS later down the road, and I am very much looking forward to that. Also, is he looking for a certain Pin or something??? Cuz he keeps talking about different Pins and even mentions "this is just another Psych Pin" like he's actively looking for a Pin to do something with. Maybe it also has to do with the "latent powers of Players" thing he mentioned as well??? What is this dude UP TO oml (also is he in contact with Neku at all?? they're both technically fugitives at this point right?? WHAT HAPPENED AFTER A NEW DAY I AM BEGGING YOU)

-I seems like Sho ALSO has an idea of what's going on in this specific game (even if he won't admit it straightforward). Per his quote "The game's 142,857. Factor it out," he's essentially saying, "This game is a neverending cyle, figure out how to get out of it" (or at least that's what I got from his "cyclic number" nonsense lolol)

-I do like how Sho mostly stays out of sight until he's needed for a battle or assisting with a mission, that's kind of on par with his whole "uncooperative" quirk from the OG, plus he might literally have to stay out of sight of other Reapers and Players considering he's likely breaking the rules of the Game (not surprising considering him and Neku broke practically every rule in the book during OG)

-The nicknames for Sho- I can't- They're so FUNNYYYY GFHJSDFKJ

-He goes from being called "Pi-Face" and "Tabooty" in OG to "Mr. Minami" and "M-Teezy" in NEO LMAOO

-(Wowee I just realized I've been mostly talking about Sho oopsies sorry y'all, this is what I meant by thinking about him almost daily he is THAT much of a fav of mine ghfkjsd)

-Okay RIP Fret and Rindo for not getting literally ANY explanation as to how the Game works OOF, that is kinda cringe that whoever gets the Pin earns points, not whoever erases the Noise (which like I understand but also URRRGGHHH I WANNA SEE THE SQUAD SUCCEED)

-"I should be going home now it's getting late" Oh you sweet summer child-

-Also love the mention of parents in this game???? KH you could learn a thing or two from TWEWY (poor Rindo's mom fhgjkdh)

-KUBO IS HILARIOUS I SUPPORT HIM AND HIS GROSS FACE (also thank you Final Trailer thumbnail for spoiling my suspicions about him very cool smh)

-Kaie is a LAD I also support him, go King type those funky texts I believe in you

-FRET PLS STOP SCANNING FHGJKSDHKJFGHFKJ he's like me when I scan in OG during Weeks 2 and 3 and see Taboo Noise coming after me ghfjdshfj

-Also Rindo can you stay off your phone for TWO SECONDS ik you're trying to figure things out but Fret is a jelly boi and I don't want him to be upset with you my guy

-Sho being an actual sorta mentor to the kiddos?? Who are you sir this is so unlike you ghfgskj what happened to the guy who tried shooting children in the face 8 times over LMAO (granted he's probably just using them but it's still nice to see him actually cooperating and sharing knowledge with the kiddos aaaaa)

-EYO EIJI OJI THE TIKTOK INFLUENCER IS BACK LMAO

-hgjkfshgkjf "we aren't glorifying capitalism on my watch" THATS SO FUNNY TO ME GFHJFSDGHJKS (also an all-orange ensemble is disgusting you deserve jail for one thousand years fkn Cheddar Goldfish Cheezit ass woman)

-Dialogue during boss battles is HELLA cool i love that

-HHHHH THE KANON SCENE MADE ME A N G E R Y FRET STOP SIMPING MY GUY says the girl with a Literal Simp Encyclopedia and simps for pixels on a screen daily

-Can't wait to see the other Reapers :eyes emoji:

i never wanted to befriend this bitch. the moment i stop talking to her, i get all of these texts saying my mans cheating on me and shit..and that my man talks shit about me..and just dumbass texts saying some dumbass shit. bitch its so obvious that its you sending me this shit....okay so this bitch is married to this armenian dude...and he happens to be related to one of my mans closest homies..so they met years ago. 3 years ago i met my mans homies cousin, and his wife. shes latina, so her and i would speak in spanish and she was whatever..she would talk about some way out shit and i would never really believe the shit she would say. because it was always so far fetched way out shit. five mins into my first conversation with her, shes telling me how she was a stripper cuz she had to provide for her son and herself..that she came here alone to this country. its crazy shes been here for like almost 20 years but doesnt have her papers. i know its a dificult process, and it reqiures a lot of money, but yeah..anyways it was a bit weird. she would always brag about having all these businesses. and she would tell me how she was on TV, and how she was a model..and im like girl...like she isnt tht pretty, not to be fucked up but she aint...shes shorter than me..and im 5'5"...models have to be hella tall, skinny, and beautiful..she would brag about how she was hella skinny and it was just weird af how every time her and i would run into one another, she would only talk about how she used to be a model, this tht and the 3rd.. and how she was on TV.. and in my head, im like bitch..you be tellin me the same exact shit everytime i fkn see your ass..like wtf??? do you feel that insecure around me that you gotta tell me some bullshit about you being a fake ass model everytime yu see me? really? -__- please bitch. shut ur dumb asss up. ive always disliked her and her man...her man is on drugs being a psycho causing problems for me. 3 years ago when my man and i were stayin in a hotel, we came out to our car in the morning and he had taken all the air out of our tires and scratched up our car. i was so pissed, i ran up on his wife to fuck her up but my man grabbed me. cuz shes a cop calling ass bitch. so yeah i never trusted those motherfuckers and my man kept giving her husband 2nd chances. and i would get into it with my man over it because i didny fkn like them...i dont forgive easily and i dont give out second chances easily..my mans different he does have a big heart but now he doesnt give a fuck about those ppl and he cut them off and we changed our numbers and im so fucking happy. that pathological ass lying hoe lies on me and my man and its disgusting and weird as fuck to watch cuz we aint never did nothing to this bitch and her family. if anything weve helped them. my man and i went out shopping one night and my man told the bitch, get anything you want...a normal ass girl, like me..would turn the offer down. i would say no thank you i appreciate it but i dont need anything, this bitch started grabbing shit and putting it in the cart and i was disgusted yo..im lowkey glad she did it cuz it shows her true colors. a hoe ass prostitute bitch.. thats what a prostitute does, lets some other dude buy shit for her..i know my man did it out of the kindness of his heart cuz he likes her husband and her kids so we just did it to be nice cuz we know they broke as shit. they couldnt afford their fkn business they rented out no more..theyve been telling us for a week they cant afford it and they gotta leave the spot...so we said, maybe we will pay the rent and open up our own business llike a smoke shop or some shit. my man and i called up our business partners to come down and look at the spot, and they loved it. when they went down, this hoe and her man started to get all fkn territorial sayng "oh this is our business we arent gonna leave it,,blahblahblah" like they flip the script so fkn quick and it was lame af on their end. they looked stupid as fuck. so i blocked the bitch..and my man stopped talking to her husband. we dont kick it with no fake flip flopping ass hoes. anyways. a couple nights before this happened, this dumb hoe asks me and my man "do you really think my husband loves me?" bitch if u gotta ask other ppl if ur own man loves you...then youre not confident in ur relationship, or with urself..and he probably doesnt love you...when she had asked that..i didnt really know how to answer her. my man said "well hes cheated on you...youve caught him in the bathroom of a casino gettin his dick licked on, you caught him in a hotel with 3 naked bitches...when you love someone, you don't cheat on them." thats what my man had told her..and then two nights later..the shit with the business went down..i started to get messages from a weird number saying "oh ur man cheats on u he goes to hotels with hookers and talk shit about you.." HAAHHAHA nice try hoe but my man is always with me...shes so fkn jealous because my man and i have an honest relationship, we are loyal to one another and idk why she cares so much and shes gonna text me dumbass shit..i got more texts from another number, saying simaliar shit, but this time the person texting me was speaking so highly of tht hoe ass bitch saying "oh you should talk to her she is so perfect and has a good character." like bitch you legit just burned urself out...its YOU sending me this dumbass shit..i changed my number..because im done. the 2nd batch of messages i got, my man run upstairs to their apartment and started to kick their door, telling them to open the fuck up..my man almost grabbed her husband by the throat..because theyre just tryna get between me and my man and thats so fkn dumb to be honest..its ridiculous how much of a low life this bitch is...

The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

• a growing list of my thoughts on episode 9 -- spoilers bruh spoilers--

▪︎ His death was really best case scenario for him - imagine returning to the light side to be faced with what you've done: killed his father yes, but also literally millions and millions of other people including entire worlds. Everyone knows who he is and what he's done. There's nowhere in the galaxy he could hide. But imagine knowing that you've done all that he had - how could he possibly live with himself, there's literally nothing he could possibly do to make things right, and the memories in his head of what he's done with his own hands. So, to die having saved Rey from the Emperor and from herself, and inadvertently helping to end the Sith and the war that he helped begin, held in her arms, knowing that he is loved and that he's finally done the right thing - it's really the best end a redeemed villain could ask for.

• Rey killed Kylo Ren with his own saber, and literally healed Ben Solo. Poetic cinema.

▪︎'Dad--' // 'I know.' (!!!!!!!!! kill me)

• They should have had the three together bouncing off one another from the start - that's always been the greatest part of Star Wars, people being friends and bickering and having each other's backs. Actually had an interest in their relationships and in their characters this time. Their hug at the end was emotional and satisfying.

• Rose was always a nothing character to me, she should have died during that crash to make a point to Finn about doing the right thing or fighting the war or whatever. Also love that their kiss was never mentioned again (thank fuck).

▪︎On that note tho - plot holes. Plot holes everywhere. Not even just one or two. A million plot holes. Things mentioned briefly but never explained. Things glossed over and ignored. It's like they made this enormous tale that needed to be smoothed and simplified so you're not distracted every two seconds tryna figure out what matters and what's never gonna be mentioned again

• Chewie falling to his knees and roaring in agony when he finds out that Leia is dead is finally respect to his character and his relationships with his friends who are all fkn dead

▪︎legit nearly walked out when they suggested that Chewie was dead - that would have been 100% unforgiveable

• Ben Solo's death was 100% glossed over and Rey's reaction could have been a lot more poignant and long lasting. Anakin got his funeral, why can't Ben?

• Every minute of every force bond chat and fight was 10/10.

▪︎Fkn hobbit had more screen time than half the characters combined like who tf

▪︎that lil droid was legit funny and adorable but so so clearly another cash grab damn

▪︎Been a long time since I've seen anything sexier than everything that is light-side Ben Solo.

▪︎the ow, the shrug, the smile - little glimpses of the man he was supposed to be, instead of the diabolical, tyrannical, genocidal torturing, manipulative monster he became (rip Ben Solo, your family let you tf down)

▪︎Air punched and almost yelled YES in the cinema when they fucking kisssssssseeedddd!!!!

▪︎Actually really happy with her being a Palpatine, it's the only thing that could make sense and I legit didn't see it coming - being a Kenobi would be too predictable and though Obi Wan defeated Vader at Mustafar, it was because he was so blinded by rage, not because Kenobi was stronger than him

Upon further consideration Rey should have just been Rey. People were so obsessed with who her family were because of course a person is defined by their parents and no way could a random person step up and defeat the bad guys (/s). She didn't have to be related to any legacy character. Heroes are made, not born. She followed the light because she's a good person, and she struggled against the dark because she's human. Gah.

▪︎Actually cried out in shock when she used force lightning to destroy the transport - that is a dark side move my dude, (and Palpatines fav party trick)

▪︎ loved the rehash of Ben and Han's final moments - he said himself he was just Bens memory, and Ben then did what he deep down wanted to do the day he killed him

▪︎Luke snatching the lightsaber out of the air like what the fuck do you think you are doing young lady

▪︎legit woulda been down for Rey to become Empress of the Sith what an ending that would be ey

▪︎Anakin should have showed up

▪︎Once Ben turned light-side he should have been talked to by his dead family members, not Rey.

▪︎Ben, the last Skywalker, should have been the one to defeat Palpatine, who was the one to begin the saga of the Skywalkers. Instead he got yeeted into a hole and spent the final battle time tryna climb out of it.

▪︎Ben should have been a force ghost standing there with his parents, reunited at last

▪︎And when they were both still alive Ben and Leia should have 110% reunited like what the fuckkk

▪︎ Rey should have proudly said that she is 'Just Rey.'

▪︎Finnpoe should have 100% been canon - Oscar Isaac literally admitted scorning the Disney 'overlords' for being cowards, and he played his role as Poe as being romantically involved with Finn. 10/10 best LGBT+ ally.

▪︎why tf would she go to Tatooine? She hates sand. Anakin hated sand. Luke wanted to leave and his last memory of that place is leaving the smoldering bodies of his aunt and uncle behind. Why put his saber there. Leia's never even been there. Why not go to Naboo or some green beautiful place where Rey has always wanted to be? Only fanservice moment really that irked me

▪︎all along all she's wanted was a family - she's made one and found one and yet the movie ends with her standing alone in the sand on a planet shes never been to, with two droids, looking at a horizon that means nothing to her.

▪︎that lightsaber tho (wish we had seen her make it, or decide to make it and explain at all why it's yellow)

▪︎Finn is fkn force sensitive and that's hella cool but like... address it more, make something of this discovery - this is the last movie and this is only just coming up? To be forgotten like all the other plot holes

▪︎liked Palpatine as the all over enemy - should have been more hints throughout the films fo sure to make it feel less outta left field as it did but still could've been a lot worse - but what the fuck is he doing on that Glados arm thing he shouldve been a Sith ghost ala Marka Ragnos not weird zombie sith man

▪︎lightning powers fucking up an entire fleet is fkn siiiiiiickkkk

▪︎would his dumbass really fall for the same ol bounce his own lightning back at him trick? Mmmmmnghhh??

▪︎if someone could explain why/how Leia died and became one with the Force only when Ben died that would be g??

▪︎thought they did Rey's struggle between the dark and the light pretty damn well like shout out to Daisy Ridley

▪︎ wish we had a shot of that vision she had with she and Kylo on the Sith throne together like damn son whhhyyy deprive us of that?? that shit would make my lifeeee

▪︎just everything Adam Driver tho what an actor like damn

▪︎in a story about love and family and winning by saving what you love, there's a whole lot of lovers dying and family members being torn apart and never reconciling. The entire Skywalker line did nothing but fuck up and make mistakes (excluding our Princess) - Anakin was so scared of losing Padme that the power he gained by turning darkside to save her overwhelmed him and resulted in her death, Padme thought it was a good idea to help Anakin defy the Jedi and marry him thus leading to his fear of losing her, Luke went full dark side when he sensed a growing darkness in his nephew and instead of trying to have a chat about his feelings he decided the obvious answer was to just murder him (like what???) thus fully pushing Ben over the edge to become Kylo Ren.

And then every single one of them die. How the fuck is that a satisfying conclusion to their story? I'm sorry but a happy ending to the Skywalker saga is Not the entire family being fucking DEAD. There is no happy ending to their story. Because they're all dead. This is some bullshit.

▪︎Honestly, the Skywalkers deserved better.

Pairing: Archie Andrews x Reader

Summary - When stuck in a room together for a long period of time; a whole lot is revealed... About life. Drama. And a bubbling desire for love that was set to spill.

If only the possibility to simply switch off your brain was a thing. Life would be so much simpler; more beautiful. Instead, the harsh reality of school life was ever-present and the deafening shrill of the bell still drilled through your mind. Usually, anyone would enjoy that company. The knowledge of the lone fact you could just pack up and get done with your day. But not you... Going home was quite frankly the last thing you wanted to do.

Sauntering your way through the corridors, shoulders hunched over in the hopes of avoiding the highway of unforgiving zombies heading for the exit- you dropped your head to somewhat distract your mind from the living hell you were about to endure. But what could you do huh? Walk the corridors until the bell sounded once again, only this time introducing you to an alternate hell. Stare at your locker until the stacks of notepads magically fill themselves. Nothing- you could do virtually nothing.

The one thing you could do was continue. Walk the way you were, solemn with your feet dragging behind you and your shoulders clipping others left, right and center. All until a stronger force pulled you out of the crowd and out of that undead trance. At first, you just thought it was another one of those bulldogs, thinking they own the school. Guys like Reggie Mantle not caring who was in his way when he stalked the area. Until you felt the warm, soft breath of another brush against your scalp as a door was pressed closed behind you. Looking upwards, your breath hitched in the back of your throat, eyes meeting the warmth of both his hazel gaze and orange locks. Archie Andrews...

He was a bulldog; captain of the football team as that. But he wasn’t like the others; He never had been. He was more of a labrador, can put on a mighty front but in all reality had the softest soul. You admired him.

Maybe more than others...

“Archie? Wh-what’s up?” you questioned, getting progressively more flustered as a heat transferred between the centimeter gap of your bodies.

You shifted yourself around his body, being unable to hide the perspiration leaving the surface of your skin to find comfort on one of the perfectly laid out science tables. Leaving enough time for him to possibly come up with a reasonable answer for this encounter. I mean you were close... close acquaintances. A glance across a classroom and a hello in a pops booth. Far from gazing eyes alone in a room and an anticipating question too thick to grasp. That was only in your dreams. He twitched, running his hands through his hair in a nervous fit to get his words out, “I know this is weird, I’m sorry. I- Just thought I could count on you.”

“Alright-”

“My mom’s coming back in town for my birthday and it’s a long story but; can you pretend to date me. Just for this meal.” He stuttered. You were unsure of how to feel. Becoming a bargaining chip on a table of fake love was never on your list of things to experience in the near future, but here you are. Another level of hell to add on to the list; school, home, and undeniable attraction.

You’d be inhuman to even be able to resist that boy but truthfully he had a reputation. A long string of hearts hanging behind him and quite frankly you weren’t willing to be another one however fake it may be. “I can’t Archie,” you shook your head. “Why me anyway? It’d be much simpler to just grab one of your vixens and move on.” You spoke softly, laying the palm of your hand over the embroidered ‘R’ on his letterman jackets as you slipped past him to reach the door.

In a moment of confusion, you grasped your hand around the handle ready to release yourself from your discomfort. But obviously, life doesn’t work that way. Much like being unable to switch off your mind whenever you liked, bad luck seemed to lurk behind every corner in your life. “Fuck” you muttered under your breath, hearing it echoed in a voice much deeper than yours.

“Y/N, I... Shit” He choked, coming up behind you. “Don’t you have a bobby pin or something, isn’t that what all girls have?”

“Archie, do you think if I had a bobby pin, I’d still be standing in this quite legit, awkward situation?”

Your palms rose to cover your eyes hoping that once they were re-opened it would just be another one of your teenage fantasies. Yet that was still just another fantasy. A huff escaped your lips as you brought yourself back into the room and your glance once again met his. Soft and sympathetic as he spoke, “I guess we’re stuck here for a while...”

*A matter of hours later*

“I never knew that about you,” Archie spoke, stretching his arms out against the wall they were both sat against. His eyes roamed your body as your twizzled your thumbs, a habit you picked up somewhere along the way in your life.

“There’s a lot people don’t know about me, Archie Andrews.” You fluttered your eyelids up towards him, seeing that side of him that made you question how anyone could have broken his heart. That you discovered in the past hour conversation. He wasn’t even a labrador. A puppy dog, lost and vulnerable with a heart of gold. Searching for a source of comfort in his life ever since his mom had left yet he’d never quite found the one. Also consequently the reason he wanted to find that girl; to show his mom he was strong even without her presence.

You felt bad for him. Even more than that, terrible for turning him down so quickly. You knew the most of him before but you let the interpretation of others take advantage of you. That you regret... His face so pure as he stared at you, listening as your muttered your last sounds. “Can I ask you something then?” He begged, his eyes mirroring the hope in his words. The hope of acceptance in the arms of recent rejection. You nodded slowly, receiving a slight smirk to stretch across his cheeks before dropping again. “Why do you hate me so much?”

“What?” You couldn’t quite fathom the meaning behind this question. You don’t hate him, you never had... In reality, you never could. He was too full of good but somewhere along the way, he got the impression that you were unaware of that. You now had to prove otherwise; set his mind at ease and subsequently lead yours to comfort, “I don’t hate you Arch.”

“I just thought... Look- y/n. I know we aren’t best friends or anything but I’ve grown up around you. Everything you’ve been through and you’re still so strong. My mom was the strongest person I know, you were a close second and I came to you for that reason. I wanted someone to match that strength but I think you’ve raised it now.” His words hit you. Closer than anything before. More deep than the shallow ‘I love you’s’ you heard as a child because this meant something.

For once... you felt like you were worth something.

“I couldn’t hate you for wanting something you’re so worthy of Archie. You’re strong enough to stand on your own; trust me. But for the sake of your mom and because you now know a hell of a lot about me so I have to keep your close...” You drag out with a wink, twisting your body to direct to him and your hand comes to rest on his herculean thigh. “Do I love you? Yes. Do I like you? That’s up for debate. Gotta prove to me I’m not wasting my time Andrews...” You explained unable to conceal a grin as words effortlessly rolled off your tongue.

There you both were, smiling like goons; gone crazy in a world of fake love... The good kind.

A/N - This is so fkn awful, I’m ashamed in myself. But I haven’t written in a while so I’m hella rusty. I also will edit later on so ignore any mistakes. Hope any of you that managed to make it to the end of crappy writing that I was alright, thank you!

I don't think that anyone has asked yet, so how's Ace, nea and Min doing after the events in ILM? What do they choose to do??

Really well!

Ace has a lot of money in gold, so he basically retires. Invests some, saves some, does some charity work, and also finds and cons rich people into paying exorbitant money for realm collectible souvenirs so he can have more money to put to a good use. Looks after the girls, visits his family and gives them money, travels a lot. They keep the Indiana house, but I think end up with one or two other small homes in other countries. Usually them out cheap to college students or people in need whenever they aren’t living there.

Min goes back to pro esports for a year, but decides she’s kind of over it. Starts a twitch channel instead, and a patreon. Gets hugely popular off existing fame from gaming and the realm, and is known for her wild commentaries and agressive playstyle. Twitch streams a bunch of stuff with Nea too. Takes her money to buy her friends gifts and go places, but also uses some of it to help people and causes she cares about. Nea does art, and gets some of her murals into a gallery and is super happy. Even with fame, it’s not exactly what should be a life-sustaining job, but Min and Ace don’t really give a damn and pay for homes. Nea feels bad about this, but Min is like “Brah like. You get how wack it is that you spend hours doing labor and hard work to make paintings with spray paint, while I get on Twitch and play Witcher for two hours and make more than you do a day, right? You’re not lazy shits just fucked, and we can’t change that but like, fkn don’t feel bad economy is what it is. I’m not doing anything more valuable or hard than you are, and I love your stuff, and I make you do Twitch with me so you should get a cut of that too anyway. Never feel bad people don’t appreciate art as much as they should. Get mad if you want, but if you stare thinking you suck because I can make a shit ton by having name recognition and wearing a cute top while I shoot zombies, I will smack you and then make you go on a romantic trip to feel better for a whole week.” And she feels a lot better, and decides to try to branch out and learn more and improve herself as an artist and find what exactly she might want to do with it.

Both girls get pretty invested in trying to help programs for girls, and then just teens in general, with bad home lifes, and helping them to safer situations and more opportunities for the future. Ace has a lot of money, Nea some, and Min quite a bit, but they’re not like, /loaded/—like, Park-Family loaded, so, they have quite a bit to spend, but still have to think and pay attention too. And they try to. They splurge on trips and fun times, but buy cheap stuff at home and Ace forced himself to be responsible with a savings account, and all three hate the idea of having to learn to do money responsibly, but they do. And, with that, figure out how to sustain and plan and still have plenty they can donate where they think it’s needed. Nea and Meg have a conversation one night about how weird it is to have /some/ money when they were both dirt poor before, lose their minds over an idea they get, and then spend the next week tracking down online friends and old pals irl, and people who like, were kind to then when they were younger, or helped out Meg’s Mom when she needed that, and give each one a thousand bucks. Which should have kinda cleaned those two out a little, but David is like *coughs inconspicuously, hides money in a drawer so they can think they just had more all along* and gives them some in support of how sweet that is and becuase while he is a rich boy, he’s a real decent man and he’s doing his best. (They pick almost 30 people between them, so give away 30,000 dollars as thanks for being a friend or kind, sometimes to nearly complete strangers. This is paid for with their supply of cash from their realm gold, which Ace helped both sell for more then face value to collectors. For several survivors, it’s like winning a baby lottery and suddenly having a couple thousand to couple hundred thousand Gs, and for most of them that’s like, buy a house, pay off my parents’a mortgage, lose my student loan debt, plus some left over for future life, hella life-changing kind of money. And so Nea and Meg are like “Yooo! We could actually kinda help old friends like we always used to want to! And it turns into this. So like—Lots of people on like, Meg’s ancient Percy Jackson RP forum getting “hey u got PayPal?” PMs for a chick they were tight with fifteen years ago and are like “?? Scam huh.” And take some real convincing, then live out a great but surreal next week. Min gets in on this too, but she only had like one friend, rip.)

In a lot of ways, both girls and even Ace are still find in themselves though. Regrettably I don’t know what anyone from ILM does after the first like 5-10 years, so I’m not sure how it ends up—yet anyway—but they’re a solid support system and loving family, and I think whatever direction they end up choosing, they’re gonna do just fine.
