I was wondering, in BNF, we’ve gotten tiny little bits of information about the ‘Nice and Accurate Prophecies’ (not sure if that’s the correct title, sorry) book and TV series, if there was anything else you could tell us about it?

Character names, storylines, plots, any fun details you may have made up or otherwise, etc, etc.

I just think it’s sweet how interested both Aziraphale and Crowley are in the series, and if you might be as interested, if not more, in it too.

fantasy/historical fantasy and mildly action & romance

a la good omens, a witch and a witchfinder become friends and help each other throughout history, despite being on opposite sides. they get closer as they fight against the immoral plays from their prospective sides (the witchfinder army and a demonic cult the witch was born into) that each lose sight of their core values in a bid to hold more power over the world.

the story is set primarily in a medieval fantasy era, but suddenly jumps to the present in the later books, catching everyone off guard and giving a whole new context to enjoy the story. the challenges they face parallel the earlier story but in a modern take with modern technological twists. the modern era is the late 80s, since that's when it was written.

the witch reincarnates, similar to doctor who, due to a high class black magic ritual they performed in their arrogant youth (which they were NOT supposed to have access to). they've had long lifetimes where they die of old age, and others where they've barely managed to live a year. their reincarnations aren't entirely random; they will reincarnate according to their growth and preferences as a person (a la Magical Boy's magical outfit generations), which includes fluctuation in gender identity. their pronouns fluctuate depending on each "face" they wear, but have canonically been a "they" before. the good side of the fandom (crowley & aziraphale) default to they/them as an overall rule. they do have a name, but they like to change that too, so the fandom almost exclusively calls them witch, or witchy.

the witchfinder also has a name, but the fandom have taken to calling him witchfinder to match the fact that witchy is called by their role. it also helps that a lot of the witchfinder narration refers to him by role instead of name. he is human, 30ish in appearance, but at the end of the first book, the witch fears to lose him and curses him with immortality against his knowledge to try and keep him safe.

witch is crowley-coded, witchfinder is aziraphale-coded. my to-do list includes an illustration of the two of them played by michael and david :') but i picture them being kind of like newt and anathema for the most part.

ship names include witch/finder, witchwitch, w² or witch², and witchfound.

at the start of the first book, they meet and become friends without knowing each other is a witch & finder. the witchfinder is a bit bumbly, like newt, and the witch is cool and suave but neurotic and insecure like many human au variations of crowley (major overcompensation vibes). witch is male at the start of the first book. their friendship is secure when witch finds out he's a witchfinder, so there's less "oh my god i'm friends with the enemy, is he going to kill me in my sleep?" and more "ah fuck, Lets Drink About This"

there's battles, horseback riding, camping out in dark woods, disappearing and losing each other for months at a time, and many missed connections as they try to work together against two common enemies, whilst keeping up the facade that they're on their respective team's sides.

there's charged chemistry in the first book, but it's more plot heavy. there's hints of shippy moments in the 2nd book that fall in between the plot. there's a Moment of almost confession in the 3rd book, and a non romantic kiss towards the end (we gotta, for neil). they're pretty much married in the 4th book, securely at each other's side, but never actually talk about it until the end, and there's a more explicitly stated shippy connection in the 5th book.

agnes herself is a total recluse who drops books out of nowhere then goes back to existing somewhere in the english countryside (people presume). she's happy to supply signed copies to fundraisers and conventions, and sometimes random bookshops across the country will be vandalised with genuine autographs on the inside covers. she's notoriously pedantic about being involved with adaptions behind the scenes, but she has no social media and isn't ~around~. she once did a talk when she was presented with an honorary doctorate, and did a single book signing when the first Prophecy book came out, but beyond that she keeps to herself.

there are a small handful of quotes from her in behind-the-scenes footage talking vaguely about character intensions and clarifying world building, but she likes to leave things up to interpretation like neil does. it's in these few snippets of interaction we've seen from her that she's steadfastly supportive of intersectionality and lgbt rights, like staring dead-eyed at an interviewer when they ask her a ridiculously heteronormative question about the characters (like "have you read my books?")

adaptions include:

(most adaptions start like the book, with a male witch at the beginning that turns into a female witch when they first regenerate. the early ones usually change the pacing by switching to a female actor by the time they realise witchfinder is a witchfinder, unlike in the book where he's male for this scene, and there's way less Charged™ chemistry between the m/m witch/finder.)

Feature Film: late 90s, kind of cheesy, but good spirited fantasy (a la Indiana Jones). focuses on the first book alone, with hints to a sequel that never happened.

Abandoned TV Pilot: early 2000s, a little too dramatic but still a good time (a la the Dungeons and Dragons 2000, ASOUE 2004). good source of gifs and Moments™ but the fandom is generally Fine with it being abandoned.

Stage Performance: late 2000s-early 2010s, a stellar stage adaption of the first book with elements of the 90s movie. f/m witch/finder the whole way through. one cast used m/m actors but it was a short run and only a handful of fans were lucky enough to catch or remember it. crowley would give his left arm (or someone's, anyway) to have experienced it, so a fan sent him some flip phone camera footage of it that he keeps on a harddrive in his safe.

HBO Streaming Series: late 2010s-present, high quality, highly revered, resurged the fandom's popularity and spread the series further overseas. made in america, but doesn't try to americanise the series. extremely respectful to the books, with easter eggs to the film, and is working its way through the entire book series (a la The Witcher netflix series). f/m witch/finder, but has had one episode that included some flash backs/montages of different witch faces. probably like 15 minutes total screentime of a male witch played by a ncuti gatwa level/style of actor, which the fandom has giffed, edited, and screencapped to oblivion.

Several bonus books: Agnes has written a few extra books (a la The Unauthorized Autobiography of Lemony Snicket and The Beatrice Letters), as well as curated some anthologies from other authors (a la A Study In Sherlock). there are a total of 3 anthologies so far, in which other authors have written stories about the characters in their own tellings. basically like canonised, published fan fiction, curated and authorised by agnes herself. There's also an unfinished graphic novel that retells the book series (a la The Adventure Zone comic), but has been WIP/unheard of since the 3rd book.

Fiery, Fierce, Fabulous!

Balin

He had been working with you a bit, lightly sparring with his sword and an old spare, but it was all just playful. Swords, it seemed, weren’t for you, but all that changed in Balin’s mind was furthering his desire to protect you. The orcs were upon you seemingly in an instant, not giving your company a single break. Exasperated, Balin made to run forward, stopping in his tracks when he saw you. In a heartbeat you had pulled out a bow and arrow, launching quite the volley into the growing crowd of enemies and picking off a surprising number of the ghastly running figures. It was like you knew exactly where to shoot past the armor despite them being outfitted differently. Balin had always looked upon you with affection, a special care he’d not given many before, but as he watched you bloom into a capable warrior of your own right, he knew it was love.

Dwalin

You were usually off helping Bombur cook, so he supposed he’d written you off as a fighter. Not that knowing your way around a good meal was no merit. In fact, you’d been explaining how you made your cheese sauce so good-something you called a ‘roux’- when the howling started. Wargs, all mounted with riders coming in an ambush, a flurry of scimitars and axes raised. Jolting up from the rock you sat on, you unsheathed a sword from who knows where, seeming to briefly perceive the raise of Dwalin’s eyebrows before you ran off. One of the first into the fray along with Bifur, you swung, taking the eye out of one warg and catching the leg of the rider, who slipped enough for you to run him through. Barely pausing, you took another hack at the warg before moving onto another loose orc, unceremoniously lopping his head off. He always knew he wanted someone at home who could have dinner waiting, but up until that moment Dwalin assumed he’d marry someone he could protect. The grin that spread across his face, the pound of his heart, the irresistible focus across your face, though? They all told him you were his One.

Thorin

His company is small, but they are fighters. At least all the ones he can vouch for. Having never seen you in a fight was one reservation he had to your joining, though your presence is soothing above all else. The sense, the trust you have for him, your willingness to do what is right in the dwarves' eyes. Not to mention the way you constantly remind Thorin to focus on the good, resistant to it all as he may have once been. When the orcs come, he sees apprehension glint in your eyes before it quickly evolves to focus. You reach for some article hanging at your back, something Thorin had assumed to be a frying pan handle. Erroneously. Very. You've pulled out a spear, parrying attack after attack and even catching the brunt of a blow meant for Dori. Your weapon looks quite regal in your hand, beauty to be found even in a bloodbath. Perhaps especially so. You were no charge to them, you were one of them. Somebody the others looked up to, respected. Somebody Thorin himself could depend on. Never did he think the day would come, and yet in that fight the king-to-be knew he looked upon his One.

Oin

The company had taken you on as a healer, knowing your skills would be beyond valuable; thus, you worked and trained beneath Oin. Even handling scrapes, your touch is so gentle it warms his heart, filling it with pride…and maybe a little something else. That same heart drops when an orc grabs you by the arm, yanking you and lifting you up like little more than a doll. His hands tighten upon his staff. Unnecessarily, it seems, for your other arm swings and sets the orc cursing in its dark speech and dropping you. Promptly stabbing him with the large knife you still held, you take out both of his neighbors for good luck. Cheering in encouragement, Oin thinks to himself that it’s about time he had a talk with you.

Gloin

You’re quick with your words, he’ll give you that. Always with some joke or barb to shoot back at the others when they tease you. Gloin swears you could make up a story for anything, and sometimes he can’t help but imagine hearing your voice reciting some little tale under the stars, to him and him alone. Naturally, when Azog sends his ilk after you, Gloin’s first instinct is to stand in front of you, an arm outstretched in cover. Cover you promptly ignore, rushing forth, unstrapping a pair of axes from your back, and unleashing hell upon the great ugly things. What better story to tell of how he knew he found his One?

Bifur

Not everyone took the time to try to listen. Most people waved a dismissive hand at signs, flailed and pantomimed in some cruel mockery or otherwise concession. Not you. You pulled him into nearly every conversation, made little jokes just for him. Made the world feel like it was just the two of you sometimes. Was it ridiculous? Maybe. Then again, a little showing off couldn't hurt, just in case. Wait, since when did you have an axe? And since when were you so swift with it as to chop the arm off an orc like that? And since when did you start looking so good splattered with blood? Bifur must've been staring, for suddenly there you were giving a merry laugh, asking if he liked those moves, wholly his One. Oh, that was it- he was a goner for sure.

Bofur

From the moment the company had entered Bag End, you’d been right there up front singing and dancing along with the dwarves. Privately Bofur thought of you as the company’s songbird the way you performed and found a song for any moment. Protecting your pretty pipes is all he’s thinking about, in fact, when goblins swarm you down in their town. Hoisting his mattock, he’s ready to do what he must…. Only for you to take them out yourself, swinging your own blades with a rhythm all your own. You’re like a tornado the way you tear them up! Scary? Maybe a little. But beautiful? Definitely a lot. Despite the goblin-hole you’ve landed yourselves in, Bofur chuckles and smiles to himself. What can he say? He loves you.

Bombur

More than once does it occur to Bombur how badly he wants to make you smile, see you relaxed and comfortable every minute of the day. His heart positively thumps out of his chest at the way you lay your hand over his, thanking him for the meal he made or the extra blanket he gave you. Your safety is all he thinks about running headlong into battle, weapons ablaze. You won't be afraid if... thwack! Bombur's thoughts are utterly interrupted by an orc tumbling headlong, another soon joining them with a strike by your twin staffs. Twirling them about your head, you part the crowding battle with a look of impressive calm. The first words you speak in that battle are to ask him if he's alright, followed by a compliment to his own kill count. Clashing with orcs as he may have been, Bombur couldn't help smiling merrily as he got to watch you, further cementing your status as his One in his mind.

Dori

The two of you bonded over Bilbo’s china, each of you having favorite plates and cups amidst all the dishes you used, washed, admired. He thought of you as someone who enjoyed the delicate crafts in life, appreciated the little flowers and traces of gilding on the one that was Bilbo’s mother’s. Just like him! Pessimistic as he could be, he didn’t much fancy the sight of you in battle- after all, you had had no cause to be forced into such a situation, right? Wrong, it seemed! Upon the first ambush you were asking him for a weapon, rolling your eyes when he gaped and grabbing up his flail, shattering a shield immediately and smirking when you caught his eye again. Heart leaping, Dori wonders for the first time in his life if maybe he isn’t the only one meant to care for his brothers, suddenly seeing someone else more than belonging in his family.

Nori

You were such a sweet little thing, so shy and kind it took everything in Nori not to sweep you off your feet at every little gesture. Instead, he opted for teasing you, slinging his arm around your shoulders to watch you get flustered or taking things to get a rise out of you. Or at least a cute look of confusion. Now, he thinks, is my big chance when you’re all being chased, assailants quickly escaping archery range and getting ever closer to his blades. You rush forward at his side, though, offering a sunny smile that contrasts heavily with the massive hammer in your hand. Nori slits a throat, you wallop the dickens out of several more orcs. When it’s all said and done he can’t help but tell you what a great team you make, taking that opportunity to finally sweep you off your feet.

Ori

All your blades were ornamental, carven with flowers into their wood handles and swirls patterning the metal. One had beasts upon the cross-guard and pommel. Ori knew this because you’d shown him, pride glittering in your eyes at the beautiful things. You loved his art and collected your own, pressing flowers and gushing over Bilbo’s trinkets. It was what inspired him to make you little gifts in the first place, in fact. Panic shoots through Ori’s chest when orcs barrel your way. Something flies through the air and he gasps as he realizes it’s your little flower knife sailing straight into the throat of your enemy. You take up the beastly dagger next, slicing another throat and finishing off the one Ori startles with his slingshot. His heart leaps when you congratulate him, thanking him for helping save your life as he reminds you you did the same. He can’t help staring as you walk away, completely smitten.

Fili

Maybe he shouldn’t play favorites, especially among friends and family, but you are by far his favorite in the whole mess of travelers the dwarven prince has fallen in with. Fili is addicted to the sound of your giggles at all his jokes, the way your lips circle in surprise when he shows you all the weapons he boasts. Perhaps that’s why he assumes you haven’t any, but you know what they say about that. He should’ve known better with the way he keeps most of his concealed. A pair of daggers immediately swung about still come as a more than pleasant surprise, pride glowing in the smile Fili flashes you. You are beyond special, he sees it now: you’re the one for him.

Kili

You get so bashful every time he sends a wink your way, your smile an absolute balm for his soul no matter what the day brings. He loves the way you get his attention only to hand him a flower you plucked from the roadside with a little for you. Kili himself practically can only imagine the surprise he feels when he sees you cross your blades and decapitate two adversaries in a row like they’re nothing, a look he can only describe as fiery passion across your face. Practically feeling as though he’s in a dream, Kili knows through the haze it’s more than flirtation, he’s head over heels. This must be that ‘One’ feeling Gloin and Bombur always talk about.

Bilbo

Seems like you're always by his side. Offering him a hot drink, chatting on watch, sharing blankets. It's like a little piece of home followed him off on this absurd journey, and thank the stars. He's struggling to adjust to the rowdy bunch you two have fallen in with, but you? A gentler soul indeed. Bilbo's heart sinks at the sight of orcs at your heels, wishing never to have need of the blade he was given. You tell him none of them will get near him, causing him to peer up at you with wide, confused eyes before you whip out a crossbow and start shooting. Your marks go tumbling off their wargs, blood bursting from across their chests as the mob thins. Gaping, Bilbo swallows and shakily thanks you, his gaze darting to and from your eyes shyly. You're something new, something quite between home and an adventure, he dares say.

Jujutsu Kaisen Boys if they knew you had a “secret” crush on them.

Gojo: Gojo is either super confident or completely out of it. It all depends on what kind of friendship you both have and if he likes you back. If you have a pretty easygoing friendship then he’ll probably play coy and just subtly flirt with you. Whether if it’s with lingering touches to leave you guessing or just straight up corny pick up lines. If you have a more professional relationship, he’ll summon you to talk as much as he can, knowing that you get slightly flustered when you are in his presence. He’ll pick you to go on missions with. He’s secretly hoping you’ll mess up so he can come and save the day. Also man cannot handle if you attempt to flirt back and are really good at what you do. He may act unaffected but he is panicking on the inside. He would also fluster you as much as he could.

Geto: Geto would typically be pretty confident and sly about his advances. He definitely wouldn’t try to fluster you as much as Satoru, if he ever does decide to try and fluster you because sometimes he can’t help himself when you are fumbling your words whenever he comes into the room. He finds it adorable but wouldn’t comment on it at all if others are around. If it’s just you and him, that’s a different story altogether. He still wouldn’t be as bad as Gojo and he’ll definitely be more sly about it but he would tease you about how you wouldn’t make eye contact with him or how you seemed to stumble over your words whenever he was around. Overall, he would be pretty chill about it and definitely would be pretty flattered that you liked him that much.

Toji: Again, with Toji, it depends on whenever or not he actually cares. If he does, he will be attempting to mess with you and fluster you as much as he possibly can. Personally, I think if he finds your reactions funny enough, he could be worse than Gojo when it comes to flustering you. He might randomly send you gym pics and ask about his outfit or something like that knowing damn well what's he's doing. The little shit. Anyway, if you don't react strongly, he probably won't be that bad, teasing you a bit every once and a while but not that badly. He also will take advantage of the fact that you like him and will hit you up for random stuff, most likely for you to buy something for him or give him money. He's probably one of the most obvious in showing that he knows that you like him.

Nanami: Nanami is super sweet and very professional about it, definitely will only tease you about it just a little bit. He is more likely to, after a while, come up to you and ask if you want to go out to lunch or something like that. He is really nice about everything and super patient with you if you get flustered easily when he is around. Honestly, the others who you've either told or figured it out themselves are more likely to tease and taunt you more then he is. If he likes you back, he’ll definitely ask for you to go on missions with him more. Or just ask to do more stuff with you in general. I don't think he would easily be embarrassed over liking you back but that can be a post for a different day. Anyway, like I said in the beginning, he is just overall a super sweet guy.

Sukuna: This little piece of shit. Listen, he either doesn't give a flying fuck or makes it his job to tease and taunt you as much as he possibly can. Definitely the type of guy to, when you look away from him or aren't making eye contact, to lift your chin up with his finger and make you make eye contact. You honestly want to hope that he either doesn't care enough or is too busy in his own little world to notice that you actually like him. Also alongside Toji, would send you random pictures of him working out and ask you about his form, etc, etc. Will take it one step further and “invite” read: just drag you along, to the gym to watch him work out. All in all this guy is little piece of shit that finds humor in making you as flustered as he possibly can.

Riddle Rosehearts

He’s intrigued by this subculture that you participate in and he’d ask you more about it, if you don't mind telling him - he’ll do his own research too anyway

When he finds out it's basically a subculture consisting of people with emotion dysregulation issues and is generally controversial, he checks up on you and asks you if you're okay or not

You laugh then – you’ve had your ups and downs but really, so has everyone. You hope reading about it hasn't scared him off

He’d feel like calling you a “landmine type” is too insensitive but you assure him that there's nothing to worry about and that people who participate in the subculture has reclaimed such stereotypes and fully embrace it

He’d really enjoy seeing you decked out in jirai kei fashion; he may want to try it himself but he’d insist that it's not in his place to participate, only support from the sidelines

You do get him to try out clothes that are similar to or inspired by the culture though – he seems to be comfortable in the style and you're happy that something that you enjoy can also bring the same joy to him

You’ll also recommend some songs to him, especially ones that you think would help him in studying despite the sometimes concerning lyrical content

If someone tries to bully you for identifying with the subculture, he’d step in immediately and defend your honor

He has heard of it before but he thought it was only a type of fashion, not a whole subculture with more substance to it than clothes

You’d infodump to him all about it and your journey with it, whether you just discovered it or have been identifying with it for a long time – he listens to you curiously all the while

He’s caught off guard for a moment by the more controversial and depressing part of it but he quickly recovers

He’s happy for you and glad that you’re comfortable having such a culture define a part of you

Though he implores not to do all the self-destructive stuff if you could and he’ll look out for you more just in case

He definitely thinks you rock while wearing your jirai kei outfits; it’s not his style but he wouldn’t mind trying it once, just to get a feel for the style

“Yeah, this is definitely not my thing… you, on the other hand, look pretty awesome.”

You’d give him a link for your playlist (or a playlist you’ve saved) and he’d listen to it when he’s bored – ends up adding a few songs to his personal playlist

If he finds anyone stereotyping you unnecessarily, he’ll call them out, saying as if they’re any better

Deuce Spade

He apologizes for not knowing too much about it when you bring it up and you tell him it’s okay because it gives you an excuse to ramble about it

You tell him what it entails and how you’ve come to find out about it, sifting through your past experiences both good and bad

He tries very hard to be understanding, even if he doesn’t really get it. You’re just grateful to have his support

“I don’t really get it but it gives you a sense of community, right? I think that’s pretty cool!”

He’s also a little concerned about the mental illness part so he’d regularly check up on you to make sure you’re doing okay

He’d ask you to tell him more about your experiences with the subculture if you have any more and if anything exciting happens, you go to him first

Such as acquiring a brand new article of jirai kei clothing for example! He thinks the style is super pretty and fits you really, really well

He’d listen to the music together with you, sharing earphones and all – maybe he would even listen to them while he tries to do anything

He’ll be your guard dog and bite back whoever dares to make fun of you for being part of the subculture’s community you’ll have to calm him down sometimes

You couldn’t ask for a better cheerleader than him.

Cater Diamond

He’s always known about the subculture and although he doesn't participate in it, he thinks it's really neat

You tell him more about it and about the misconceptions people have about it so that he doesn't misunderstand

He’s super stoked that he knows someone in real life who actually participates in the subculture since he gets to see how it actually is in reality

He mostly knows about the fashion and when you come rocking up to him wearing the classic jirai kei look, he tries his best not to fanboy

And people on twitter have been eating that up so I've felt some motivation to continue working on it

Today I'm sharing the 4 first deities I've finished

Julie Joyful

Deity of the moon and oceans. Do not be fooled by her elegant and beautiful appearance, for she's an energic goddess that will bend bodies of water to her emotional will.

The moon is often associated to calmness, feminity, such things, but I decided to go with an other approach. The moon is small and fast. She turns around the earth every day of the year, and is responsible for the tides. The closer she is, the bigger the tide ! That doesn't sound that much calm to me. In this AU Julie appears calm only because Sally insist that she has to dress "regal" for their very important deity jobs. Isn't that silly ?

Julie will have alternate outfits depending on the activity she wants to do at any given moment, switching from pants to dress !

Sally Starlet

Deity of the Sun, stars and fire, she is the calm one, most of the time. Warm, but also a little stuck up sometimes, Sally likes when things are in order and go her way. She sees their deity roles as important ! The fiery goddess also gives her blessings in the arts, especially theater art which she favors

The sun doesn't move as much as the moon, but it is big and powerful and at the center of our solar system. I like the idea of reversing roles a little, having the sun being the calm one for once

Home

The deity of death is a kind and compassionate fellow. He doesn't talk much, but listens very well, and will help souls pass to their afterlife with all the compassion in the world. He is also the patron of living spaces, as he wants to make sure beings live well, safe, sound and happy, before he comes to take them away.

I like it when death deities aren't cruel but instead very kind and comforting. Home will have a lot of little helpers ! Although, note that Home is the deity of death as in he's the reaper. There is other deities ruling over the concept of death ! Home is more of a psychopomp in this AU ( psychopomps are the "reaper" deities. It includes Valkyries, Ankous, Shinigamis, Grim Reaper, etc)

Wally Darling

The deity of life ! He creates and gives in abondance, whenever he can. He may not be particularly smart, or doesn't pay that much attention to his creations past their conception and first breath, but he means well and is still learning. He's a fairly new deity, replacing the previous one. Home is there to kindly help guide him to his new duties, along with Barnaby.

He's just a silly trying his best with great powers. Life is pretty mysterious, and not easy. The path is long and full of hardships, after all... but I don't think what gives the first breath of life is cruel for it. Life is still beautiful and should be cherished

impressions from the hades ii technical playtest

absolutely chock full of spoilers but also theories

Amazing gameplay, feels just as good as Hades 1 with improvements and creative changes. So many different builds/play styles will be possible. in the dev stream they talked about melee close quarters vs sorcery ranged, but I find myself doing HEAVY spellcasting while also stacking in heavy melee boons on the knives, and mixing and matching.

The boons have a few familiar perks but so many of them are new and creative, even for gods we know from the first game. All of them feel really good.

The SOUND EFFECTS are amazing. The sounds of your weapons change based on the boon equipped to each attack. the sounds of the arena change depending on the god at the end (if any). Nothing and I mean nothing makes the dopamine go off more than the sound of Hephaestus' boon blasts when I do my fan of knives and they all explode. PING PING PING.

I find myself doing "resource runs" and "story runs." they do overlap. It's tough to only have one harvesting item equipped at a time and I spent so much time looking for silver and looking that my eye has started slipping over the lone spirits who gives you psyche, even when Selene leads me to them lol. I do like that they have her guiding light, but it is subtle. I also like the way you can pin certain items when you're in a run so you can remember what you needed for a recipe.

Unfortunately I did so many harvest runs that I actually got all the recipes before I had a chance to USE forget me not on a run so.... woops on that fated list lol.

We are maybe going to romance Moros or Nemesis (probably both are options?) but maybe not both at the same time? since they're siblings technically (technically) (I wouldn't mind though). I love all these children of nyx and want to protect them and smooch them all.

EXCEPT. Mel is a Silver Sister, with Artemis and Selene. Does that mean she's gotta be a virginal girl squad? lol

I love sister Artemis. I love that she throws snacks!!!!! which is even more endearing bc it's fried and a chocolate bar and soda. I wonder if sometimes I hear a note of disapproval from her and I wonder where her plot will go later. Selene it's said may not be able to reach us in Tartarus, but Artemis might.

Speaking of found family.

I fucking adore Odysseus. I love Od. So. Much. Like I loved Achilles but Od is such a good girl dad for Mel, and his pep talks are the best and so sensitive ;_; what a guy I love him.

I think? that Hecate's familiars must be placeholders, since they're just little statues that vibrate when you give them treats. I can't wait to see where they go in the full game.

It's an interesting take on Hestia, that she hates everybody. It makes me wonder if we'll see Hera or not, since I kind of expect that behavior from Hera.

Hephaestus and Demeter and Aphrodite remain my favorite boon givers.

As far as I can tell there is no fishing rod in the playtest but there will be in the full game and I'm excited.

Arachne's self esteem hurts me 😫 I love you little bug!!!! I wonder if we'll find her shop in Olympus or in Tartarus -- and I worry about her. At least Athena is too busy to bother her! I hope! I love Mel's different outfits.

The amount of pets that Mel gets to have is delightful. I love her frog so much.

Hecate is fascinating. She is SUCH a mother, she is SO compassionate to Mel and trying to build her up! She is wry and dry but never cruel or negative. I love her sm. Poor Mel has some low self esteem and understandable doubts and is putting so much pressure on herself. And I really wonder about Hecate's relationship with Persephone and the house of Hades and with nyx. Nemesis says something that makes me wonder if Hecate is innocent. Either way I don't think she'll really be a villain. My heart would break if so. Mel would break.

Mel is so sweet and pure. ;_; and she says "death to chronos" so coldly. When she says "Hence I go" I just hear her as a little baby playing hide and seek with Hecate and it gives me so many feelings.

I want to know about Mel's arm!

I can't wait to see the other regions just from the Crossroads, since there's currently two doors we can't enter.

Also what are we going to DO with the fish?

Hello, how would you rank the gaang+fire ladies in a best sense of style to worst of sense of style?

oooh fun! wait, is this modern au or not?? just in case, i’ll do both…

toph is the worst, obviously. she has no sense of style whatsoever. she does have her little pom pom opera headband, which is very cute, and honestly her fire nation fit is the cutest one (sorry katara), but i don’t think she actually gives a shit about any of that, she just happens to slay regardless because she can’t not slay. in modern au she mostly wears large shirts and sweatpants and flip flops, and yet somehow she still looks remarkably good “dressed like a slob” (katara’s words) because she is simply beautiful enough to pull it off.

i don’t think zuko has a bad sense of style, i actually think a lot of his outfits are genuinely cute (i esp love his one tank top in book 1 that’s such a look imo), but like toph, he also isn’t really putting effort in, so it’s not so much a “sense of style” as it is in his nature to serve cunt. in modern au he actively tries to spice up his wardrobe (with katara’s help), but then he never actually wears any of the stuff they bought together because he needs his emotional support favorite cardigan and/or black turtleneck. he can pull it off because he looks cute and cozy, but no is mistaking him for an expert in fashion any time soon.

i always wonder how aang found those monk’s robes in book 3, whether he made them himself, and if so, with which fabrics. so in that sense, he’s actually a diy style icon. but in modern au, he literally dresses like roman roy in the finale, walmart boys’ color block t shirt, so i’m docking points even though, again, he does look adorable and it is a Look in its own right. the light up heelys also add or dock points depending on who you ask.

from book 2 onward, sokka has a nice, simple outfit that is a good cut and a good color without being remotely flashy or complicated, and he accessorizes with weapons, which are both practical and spice up his outfit. “like toph, he also doesn’t give a shit about his looks, it’s just a coincidence that he looks good,” one could argue. but i think he knew what he was doing with that sleeveless top. and besides, he was excited by the fact that his bag matched his belt. in modern au, sokka doesn’t give a shit about style until adulthood, because he and katara just focus on their respective domains and thus katara has the monopoly on fashion, but then he starts figuring out his gender and sexuality and the world of fashion opens up for him. that said, his idea of going crazy is like, wearing a couple rings, so he’s still towards the middle bottom of this list.

azula doesn’t really have a sense of personal style, she just wears what she thinks looks best for her circumstances, and since her goal is to intimidate, she happens to slay. but if she was like, a farmer, she would not be bothering with the winged eyeliner and red lipstick and perfect hair, because that is a product of her environment rather than an internally motivated mode of self-expression. so in modern au, she trades shoulder spikes for shoulder pads, and knee high boots for tastefully high heels, but the effect is the same. respect me, fear me, take me seriously in my navy blue blazer.

suki never really gets to pick her own outfits unless you count the fire nation crop top, which is cute but obviously wouldn’t be her first pick in garb. that said, the kyoshi warrior armor obviously goes so hard and she looks great in it, so she’s a style icon just for that. in modern au, she dresses in a way that is deceptively simple but knows that it makes her look really hot to her target demographic (dykes and sokka). she generally just opts for flannel and cargo shorts, but on days where she’s on a mission, she’ll wear a short sleeved loose button up with half the sleeves undone, some necklaces, and no bra. and she’s a hero for that.

mai’s outfit is actually my favorite in the entire show (like, i would wear it), but there’s something kind of cutesy about her hair style that i feel like was probably imposed on her by her mother. like don’t get me wrong, it still looks good on her, but i can’t see her actually caring to maintain something so elaborate without the presence of external pressures. i can picture modern au mai’s sense of style so perfectly, though. soft flared pants, in a silky fabric; turtleneck tank tops; leather jackets: dark peacoats; dyke boots to stomp around in; mostly in various shades of dark red, dark blue, and black. she keeps it simple and classy, and has the freedom to experiment with hair styles more as well. when she’s alone, everyone is envious of her effortlessly chic steez, and yet, when she is with ty lee, everyone’s like “awww it’s cute that ty lee lets that kind of schlubby girl hang around her.”

ty lee puts effort into her appearance for the purposes of attracting specific results. she knows she’s beautiful, of course, but she also wants to be beautiful in a cute way, harmless and inviting. pink is less threatening than red, showing skin makes her seem vulnerable and desirable, her braid is simultaneously perfect and kind of messy. in modern au, ty lee would similarly be attuned to the cultivation of her aesthetic for a similar purpose. she wouldn’t just wear whatever she felt like, but rather would have an extremely curated wardrobe of outfits that all adhere to the same theme of making her look impossibly beautiful but in a cute and harmless way. idk man. there’s something wrong with her, i think, but also that thing might just be patriarchy.

katara is the only character who canonically takes an interest in fashion for the sake of fashion (iirc), and so that immediately elevates her in my opinion. she clearly cares a not insignificant amount about her appearance, and takes pride in looking good (as she should, because she’s beautiful). i love the idea that she got her book 2 outfit in the northern water tribe and was so excited about getting a new fit that she literally wore it the entire season even though it was springtime and she was sweating buckets. she’s so excited about dressing up in ba sing se, or when they steal clothes in the fire nation, or when she gets to take kyoshi’s clothing in “avatar day,” or when she goes to the spa with toph, or when she’s telling aunt wu about her skincare routine. it matters to her! and i think that as she gets older, and more resources are available, she gets to expand and experiment with her wardrobe more, and that’s really fun for her. and in modern au, she’d also love fashion of course, and would have a lot of opinions on how to participate in fashion ethically. her wardrobe would be kind of all over the place because it’s mostly thrifted, but she’d put so much effort into curating an outfit every day before she leaves the house, and she can go weeks if not months without repeating an outfit, not because she has an unlimited wardrobe, but because she’s really clever and thoughtful when it comes to what she pairs together on any given day. and she sometimes makes her own clothing, or modifies thrifted pieces, and that somehow looks great on her too. my point is, she wins in a landslide.

Hello anon!

That is an interesting thing to consider. To answer the question, however, I must define what makes a great hug for me first.

1. Height

I find that the best hugs come from shorter girls. It's quite easy to rest your head on their shoulder and get comfortable. It's also really cute when they have to look up at you. My girlfriend was short so I may be based here lol.

2. Bust

Every guy knows that it can be a little… distracting the bigger it is. Also - the tighter the embrace, the more painful it is for the other side, I assume. So this is one situation where smaller is better. But a bigger chest does not make a hug immiedetely bad, keep that in mind.

3. Outfit

The go-to place to hold a girl, aside her back of course, is her waist. It's comfy and very natural. While fabric feels alright to touch, the actual skin of your S/O is even better. It's important to mention their smell - some perfume or scented shampoo can make the experience miles better.

4. Mood

Not exactly a criterion, but I thought I would mention that regardless. There are different types of hugs - comforting, fluffy and horny. It's just right we take a look at each category.

So, what are my choices?

FLUFFY HUGZ

Hugs with Nilou are the best, simply put. She loves both giving and receiving them, no matter when or where.

She gets very giddy and giggly when you embrace. Nuzzling her head into your chest and hearing the light beat of your heart is her dream come true.

She's small and slim, making it very easy to pick her up. Though it makes her a little dizzy, spinning her around in your arms is just *chef's kiss*

Loves the feeling of safety and comfort your bigger frame gives her while hugging her from behind.

She exposes her stomach with her outfit, and smells of Grand Bazar's spices and fruits, since she spends most of her time there.

Calling Yoimiya clingy would do her no justice. This. Girl. Is. All. Over. You.

She seriously can’t get enough of your skin on hers. She constantly holds your hand, or just hugs you. Her favorite way to do so? Jumping on you! Wrapping her legs around your waist, she’ll pepper your face with quick kisses. No more tall privilege for you! Well, at least until she gets down…

Her bandages and kimono feel wonderful to touch, and her Pyro Vision make her body temperature higher than normal. The only issue is the harsh smell of gunpowder coming from her clothes. But it’s manageable, most of the time. Good thing she likes the outdoors, so the wind can blow most of it off of her.

COMFORT HUGZ

Eula is quite harsh on the outside, but she is probably one of the most emotional girls in Genshin. Not that she has the possibility, she wants to get all the comfort and assurance she can from her S/O.

Kisses, hand holding, cuddling, and of course hugging will be plenty with her.

When she hugs, she clings to you like her life depends on it. She’s subconsciously scared you will leave, whatever the reason. Eula finally allowed herself to love and be loved. Losing you would be devastating.

Tall, but not too tall. The back window allows for skin-to-skin contact, and she cares for her hygiene a lot. She is most likely pleasantly cool to the touch as well.

Horny Hugz

Oh Miko. She knows how to rile you up, even if all she has is just an embrace.

She’ll press herself a little too much for her comfort, and sigh/moan right into your ear. Some shifting around will be done, especially with her legs - in between yours, of course.

Her Electro Vision makes every touch literally shocking - just a simple brush of her fingers can make your hair stand up, and nerves fire up into oversensitivity.

Miko has a natural musk, sometimes even more powerful than the expensive perfume she always uses - especially in her heat months. Her skin and hair routine is stellar, making it soft to the touch. Also, exposed back!

Yelan has many abilities, one of them being turning everything into a heated situation. There is no safety from her touch, no matter where you go. Especially when she has you this close.

Yelan loves to trace her fingertips over your arms, chest and neck. The soft, extremely light touch can make your skin crawl with excitement.

Just like Miko, she likes some leg work. Just the right amount of pressure in the right spots and your mind focuses on her, and only her.

Yelan is not one to put a lot of time or effort into her hair, preferring to wash it with a simple, lightly scented wash. She does perfume though - she’ll keep an eye on your reactions and opinions to pick just the ones that get your attention the most. And… back window.

We’re just gonna start this off my saying that he’s a manipulative he will put things in your head forcing you to say how much you need him and can’t live without him. He definitely tries to make you dependent on him always forcing you to ride with him and max but your in the front seat instead. He most likely will caress your thigh while you in the front seat. He’s always controlling who you hang around and banding you from hanging around the gang especially Steve Harrington.

He’ll tease you from time to time wether that be grabbing your 🍑 flipping your skirt up or kissing on your neck and pulling away before things get deeper. Billy is always there to pick you up from a place that he dropped you off at if he ever finds out that you drove with Steve or anybody else he will take it out on you yelling at you and even trying hard to not slap you.

He has very angry outburst so he’ll just walk away before he hurts you but he honestly likes he when he yells at you and you shrink down it lets him know that he has control over you. He’s always manhandling you grabbing you from the jaw or throat and asking you to repeat what you said when you give him attitude and mumble under your breath. Whenever you do give him attitude it’s always meant with either a serve punishment on ‘you being ungrateful’ or him manipulating you into thinking that he’s this perfect guy that does so much for you and isn’t in the wrong at all.

People at school and even the gang can sense the abusive relationship you guys have even though Billy tries to hide it by forcing you to smile when in public. Whenever he comes to pick you up he’ll be by or in his car watching you walk up in the outfit and underwear he picked out for you. If you were talking to someone and said person was bothering you or making you upset he’ll see that and ask you about it if you confirm it he’ll talk to threaten them about it if they continue to stick around you next time then an argument will break out followed by a fight which will leave the other guy with a disfigured face and he may even pay them a visit murder.

If your a social person that loves to talk to people and make new friends Billy will see it as you flirting with people is he not good enough for you why do need to talk and hang out with Steve when you got the best boyfriend ever Billy doesn’t enjoy seeing you interact with other males and he’ll come to the conclusion that you want them so he’ll definitely teach you one of lessons for breaking his rules wether it be sexually or physically physically is him taking his jealousy and anger out on you.

Like I said he’s always having angry outburst when you don’t act the way he wants so he’ll be yelling and doing whatever he can to scare you into submission safe to say that he prob wants you to be his perfect little housewife when your older, the thought of you bending down to his every word and being obedient makes him want to breed you right then and there and it’s the perfect idea for you to never leave the house without him. Billy also will show up wherever you are tracker and won’t like what he sees when you are with the gang and definitely make a big deal about it and have a horrible outburst yelling and fighting with Steve destroying things and taking you by the wrist harshly and dragging you into his car.

Some people probably don’t even know and don’t want to know if they ever see anything they’ll turn their heads away not wanting to be dragged into Billy’s crossfire. Even your parents are clueless since Billy just puts up a fake persona which is very convincing but only you know better then to believe it so even if you tell your parents about him when he’s gone they won’t even believe you being under the persuasive control of Billy. And if you ever tried to break up with him things will get physical and he might even have make-up it with you.

Regularly Billy will still manipulate you and try to control you like he does to Max expect it’s not as harsh as Yandere Billy but still bad he still doesn’t want you around Steve or the gang he still wants to dominate and man handle you especially if you two ever get married you as a housewife following his orders and rules turns him on.

He’s definitely crazy he’s out of his mind like dude literally needs professional help as a Yandere and regularly still wait for you after school by his Mustang watching you walk to the car in the outfit he suggested you wear. He’ll always ask about the people he saw you talking to especially the guys. Let’s just say he won’t let it go until you answer his question even is he has to play mind games with you while he’s voice gets a tad bit louder as he talks about it.

He does care about you so if you look bothered while a guy is talking to you he’ll bring it up and ask if they said person was bothering you if so he’ll give them a piece of his mind and if they decide to stick around you an argument fight just might break out. Because surprisingly he does care for you just in his own way of how love was expressed in his household.

If he finds you hanging out with the people he told you not to he’ll be pretty calm which scares you talking in a low voice just wait till you get to his house your parents probably don’t even know about it since he has a good boy facade has puts up when at your house but only you know better then to believe it. When he passed you in the hallway he’ll block your path and burden you with questions on who we’re you talking to why haven’t you answered his house calls or why didn’t he see you after school the other day.

Avoiding him bother Yandere and regular become very difficult until you can anymore. Mass Effect 2 replay, recruiting Jack:

Osun

-Erinie has element zero. Quite a bit of it. Why does a garden world in its last stages with a small salarian colony have so much?

I suppose if it was colonized in the last cycle, the element zero may be from various crashes at that time.

-Purgatory is run by the Blue Suns. So this is yet another Blue Sun mission. Why are they central to so many?

-The Blue Suns were started by humans or a batarian, depending on the story you go by. Yet they sure seem dominated by turians. Warden Kuril runs this place.

-When Warden Kuril gives that little intro speech he sure sounds like he’s selling Purgatory to Shepard. You can tell how proud he is of it.

I suppose it could be viewed that he’s warning Shepard how secure it is, so they don’t try to escape later.

-Kuril and Garrus are actually very similar. They’re both from Palaven, both former law enforcement, and both chose different career paths because they thought governments weren’t strict enough. They hate letting criminals get away.

In a different universe, I could easily see Garrus running Purgatory – although to his credit, I don’t think he’d sell criminals.

(Yes, I know Garrus has special dialogue for this mission.)

-I think Kuril generally does believe he’s doing the right thing. Or at least he’s convinced himself of it.

He’s also just very greedy, and thinks he can perform a public service and line his pockets.

And since criminals aren’t “real people”, it’s okay to beat them up and sell them off.

-Why are all the prisoners we directly encounter human?

The one being beaten, 780 whom we speak to, 403 who’s hearing things, Jack…

Bioware, c’mon. How hard would it have been to make one of them a salarian or an asari?

-Shepard has some autodialogue when Jack is released.

-Jack’s outfit is so bad. I don’t know why she’s even bothering with any kind of top. What was Bioware thinking?

(Between Jack and Miranda, I’m not sure the character designers were thinking.)

-Kuril’s threat to blow out all the airlocks if the prisoners don’t stand down is empty; that might cost him money.

-I think I’m slowly getting the hang of charge, but I am dying so many times. Charge was not designed with insanity in mind.

One of the biggest problems is that Shepard can’t dodge and is so, so slow. If I could run to cover this wouldn’t be so bad.

-The Kuril battle is much easier than the battles before it. One of the easiest fights so far in the game.

-If you ask Jack why it’s a problem that you’re with Cerberus, Miranda says she’s destroyed Cerberus people and property. I don’t think she knows that Jack was raised by Cerberus.

Jack says Miranda will die first. Lovely to see them get off on the right foot.

-Miranda also says Shepard is not authorized to give Jack full access to the databases. This is the first time Jack calls her a cheerleader.

It was hate on first sight.

Normandy

-Crew: I’ve never worked with so many aliens so far.

Strange line. I’ve recruited two so far – Mordin and Grunt. Last one I picked up with Jack. This should have played later in the game.

-Jack tends to respond better to neutral or renegade lines. Paragon tends to make her defensive or think you’re weak.

-The image of Jack’s silhouette in the shadows holding a gun is very well done.

-One of the biggest mysteries is why Jack doesn't bail at the first opportunity. She knows how dangerous Ceberus is. She doesn't give a damn about the Collectors. Why does she stick around?

-Grunt says humans, salarians, and asari are soft. Quarians are not – why?

Tell me more about Qurarian biology, Bioware!

-Okeer wanted Grunt to hate aliens. Why? I didn’t get that vibe when we spoke to him.

-More of Grunt’s complex is starting to come out. He’s strong, but he didn’t earn it. He just is.

The dead may have been weak, but at least they tried. He never had to.

-You don’t get this line if you go renegade and tell Grunt you need him to be strong. He tells you he’ll be strong enough to kill your enemies, and that’s all you need.

Grunt may respect you if you go renegade, but he doesn’t necessarily trust you.

-The amount Grunt thinks is itself telling. Krogan intellect is often mocked – they have no scientists. They just exist to kill.

But Grunt is the perfect krogan, and he spends a lot of time thinking. About what he was told, about what he believes, about who he wants to be.

That’s the antithesis of the view most people hold of krogan, even other krogans.

But they are capable of it. Grunt is proof. Violence is baked into krogan culture, but that’s not all they have to be. They’re capable of much more – they just have to break the cycles they’re trapped in.

It doesn’t even necessarily mean leaving violence behind; Grunt loves violence. But it can be productive violence, for the betterment of their people and the galaxy as a whole.

If Wrex is the Urdnot clan leader in ME3, he touches on this. With him, Bakara, and Grunt I think they do have a chance to rewrite the future of the krogan people.

❊ a/n: the inspiration for this comes from the fact that I was drunk and wanted nothing more than one of the top gun characters (and my boyfriend) to look after me. i also loved doing this type of writing, it was really helpful for preventing burnout with my longer pieces, and i am open for headcanon requests.

✾ bradley ‘rooster’ bradshaw [375]

the biggest baby when you’re leaving. pouts and gives you puppy dog eyes as you’re leaving to try and get you not to leave but will still give you a kiss as you walk out the door or as he drops you off. he will text you throughout the night to make sure your safe and happy and the minute you text him saying you wanna go home or if there is any change in the way your texting that puts him on edge, he’s immediately leaving to go and pick you up wherever you may be. when he collects you, he’s all goofy smiles and sweet forehead kisses as he gently ushers you into the car, saying his goodbyes to your friends and checking in to make sure they all have ways home and even offering to drop them home if they don’t. what happens when you get in the car depends, if you’re hungry and need something greasy that just hits the spot Rooster will not hesitate to take you to get food, but if you just wanna go home and get into bed then he’ll head there straight away. when you do get home, he watches amused as you struggle to get your heels off, stumbling through the hall and into the living room where you slump onto the sofa and start fighting with the flimsy strap but he wouldn’t let you struggle for long, bending down beside you and taking your shoes off for you placing a gentle kiss to your ankle as he does. he would then, despite your protests, carry you to the bedroom bridal style and place you gently on the bed, turning around to let you take your clothes off while he grabs your favourite pyjamas from the drawer, if you’re struggling with zipers or buttons bradley will gladly help you. once your changed and tucked under the bed he goes and fills up a glass of water and grabs some advil, which he places on the bedside table on your side with a sweet kiss to your forehead. he then gets into bed beside you, where he holds you close to his chest and rubs gentle circles on your arms to help you get to sleep.

✾ jake ‘hangman’ seresin [556 words]

much like bradley, jake is pouting and whining and trying to make you stay, even going so far as to pull you in for a deep kiss and messing up your lipstick just before you leave, which earns him a slap to the shoulder before you go and fix it. he’ll even come up behind you and wrap his arms around your waist, placing soft kisses on your neck and shoulder, smirking to himself because he thinks he’s won. but then you turn and press a soft kiss to his check, leaving behind a lipstick stain and suddenly your out the door and he’s left gobsmacked. and isn’t that he doesn’t want you to go out with your friends, he wants you to go have fun and let loose a little you just looked so damn good in your outfit and heels and he may have wanted you all to himself for the night just so he could ravish you. nevertheless, jake sits with his feet up watching an old movie with his phone on his chest so he could feel it vibrate, checking it every time it does to see if you’ve text him or are calling him to come pick you up. once the text asking him to pick you up comes through, he’s out the door like a shot and at your location as quick as possible. when he gets there, he’s has a smug little smile on his face as he remembers all the time you’ve chastised him for being too drunk and now here you are, just as bad or maybe even worse than he’s ever been and he is so not gonna let you forget that in the morning, in fact he takes photos and videos of your drunk ramblings so he has proof (that he quickly deletes the next morning when you ask him to). once he’s had his fun and said goodbye to your friends, he helps you into the car and buckles your belt for you. as he drives, he’ll take your hand in his and rub gentle circles over your knuckles while the other is on the steering and he listens intently as you ramble about the drama in the morning (storing the information away to get a more coherent story in the morning time), and when he pulls up to your home (even if you’re fully awake and coherent) he will throw you over his shoulder and carry you into your home. before he puts you to bed, he places you on the counter in the bathroom and takes your makeup off for you, peppering you with gentle kisses as he does, and brushes your hair for you so it isn’t a tangled mess in the morning. when that’s all done, he helps you out of your heels and outfit (throwing it into the washing basket in the bathroom) before carrying you koala-style into the bedroom and gently placing you on the bed where your pyjamas are already lead out. though he knows you can dress yourself, he helps. once your dressed, he crawls into bed with you and holds you against his chest where you fall asleep listening to his heartbeat. it isn’t until the morning that he realises he didn’t leave out water and painkillers, but he’s lucky he’s awake before you and their sitting there when you finally wake in the morning.

✾ robert ‘bob’ floyd [473 words]

bob is the sweetest man, giving you gentle kisses before you go out and being so careful so he doesn’t mess up your makeup and i think out of all of them, bob is the most prepared when you go out drinking. before you even leave the house, you agree on a time for him to come and pick you up and if you want him to come earlier you have a code word that you text him and he will be there as quick as he can. in both cases, he’s throwing your comfiest pyjamas into the tumble dryer before he leaves the house so their nice and warm for you coming in and he’s already filled your favourite bottle with water and ice and put in the fridge, he’s double checking to make sure you have pain killers in your medicine drawer and if you don’t he’s stopping at one of those 24hr stores to pick some up because he knows you’ll need some in the morning. when he arrives at the club or bar where your drinking, he’s quick to find you and guide you outside to the car with his arms wrapped around your waist and carefully sits you in the care, legs sticking out so he can take your shoes of for you. once your shoes are off, he's throwing them into the back seat to be tomorrows problem and buckling you into the car. while he drives, he has a hand on your thigh, rubbing gentle circles with his thumb as a reminder for you that he was there. unlike bradley, he will not take you to get food but will insist on getting you home and into bed but he promises to order in the greasiest breakfast he can find in the morning. once your home, almost asleep in the passenger side, he scoops you up into his arms and carries you into the house and straight into bed where he lets you undress while he grabs your pyjamas out of the tumble dryer and brings them to you, again leaving you to get dresses in peace while he grabs the water bottle from the fridge and two pain killers for the morning. when he gets back into the room, you’re curled up tightly under the blanket and struggling to keep your eyes open so he just places the water and pain killers on the bedside before placing a soft kiss on your forehead before going into the bathroom and grabbing on of your makeup wipes, which he uses to rub most of your makeup of as gently as he can once he’s done he starts preparing for bed himself. by the time he crawls in, your already fast asleep, but he’s quick to wrap his arms around you and bring your back into his chest.

About the demon brothers and their designs - it's entirely possible that some of the brothers had their final designs already completed and approved before they had their animals assigned to them. Depending on when during the concept art stage it was decided to have symbolic animals assigned to each of the characters, it's entirely possible that some of the bros had their animals decided for them after their final designs were already finished.

We know that Satan and Mammon are both almost unchanged from their concept art to their final designs, and they changed the least out of all the brothers.

They really didn't change at all!

Compare Mammon and Satan to the others, and the difference is crazy, haha

And this may just be a coincidence, but I would argue in good faith that Mammon and Satan are also the two who have the least visual similarities with their symbolic animals . Satan has no real unicorn imagery associated with his design at all, and Mammon has very little to tie in with his crows (all he really has is a feather on his belt in his casual outfit) and as you've talked about before, his wings are way more similar to a bat than they are to a crow/bird

This is really just a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mammon and Satan had their designs completely finished and finalised before they had their animals decided for them. Which would explain why they have so little to do with their animals visually compared to everyone else.

As for Asmo, it's hard to say. It's possible that he was designed with wings before he was given a scorpion as his animal, and he kept those wings and had the gold scorpion added to his demon form. Perhaps the artists wanted him to have wings (he does look really cute with his wings) and weren't willing to budge on that, or didn't want to give the "beautiful, sexy" character a "gross" bug tail? Who knows, but it's interesting to think about!

Ooooh thank you for this!!! you do bring up a good point about Mammon and Satan, i hadn't considered the potential link between that at all. assuming the thing about Satan the visual inverse of Lucifer is legit, i could also maybe see them making that take higher priority over making him look more unicorn?

and i totally agree that asmo does look cute with wings! as much as id love to yell give him both i can see how 4 wings + horns + a tail might be a bit much, especially considering how the others only have wings OR a tail (wont stop me sfhkjh)

regardless it's definitely interesting to think about what led to the final design decisions!!

I love your writing, I've been checking this blog for some time now and your headcanons never fail to make my day ♡ I wanted to request some headcanons where the Yakuza guys date an idol. Majima already has some experience with idols, having dated Mirei in the past but I'd love to see how the others would treat them and how their relationship would work out.

Hell yea hell yea, let's get to the top n all that jazz. Thanks for your patience, finally getting back into the normal swing of things after like a million trips and family things this summer, it's been hectic but I love you all. Headcanons below the cut, mwah.

Kazuma Kiryu

Might be a little awkward about it at first since Haruka is also an idol and he just thinks he's too old for most people in the idol scene. This is actually kind of beneficial though as he would never try to get in the way of your work and is always encouraging. Probably asks Haruka what kind of gifts idols like and whatnot. Overall respectful but depending on famous you are, it might be difficult for him to deal with the barrage of fans. Time apart doesn't bother him though, he knows work is work like that.

Majiama Goro

Unphased by the concept of idols but is still pretty traumatized from his time with Mirei so he'd have to really be into someone to look past all of that. Having said that, once he's in a relationship, he's in it to win it. Doesn't really attend the concerts as that kind of crowd is too overwhelming even for him but helps in other ways, like organizing merchandise after you signed them. More of a behind the scenes supporter than anything, says things like "Knock 'em dead out there!"

Saejima Taiga

Baffled that an idol would even be interested in him. Very supportive and gentle though. Will miss you a lot if you go on tour but isn't clingy. Instead he just calls when he knows you have a day off between cities to ask how things are going. Brings flowers to your dressing room after a show.

Akiyama Shun

Gets a kick out of the whole thing, it probably turns him on some to be honest. One of the best of the boys to ask for advice on when it comes to costumes and outfits. Good eye for color coordination. Doesn't mind being in the public spotlight with you and isn't shy about being seen with you. Just wants you to succeed at your dream.

Tanimura Masayoshi

Most likely of all of the boys to meet you at some kind of idol event. Tanimura has a mild interest in the idol scene in Japan and Korea but never saw himself actually knowing let alone dating someone who is an idol. Super understanding and supportive and has a good understanding of the more modern idol scene than the rest of the boys. Good at helping you with stretches or massages when you're feeling sore.

Ryuji Goda

He is now your number one fan. That's just the way it works. Type of guy to be like "Fellas, did ya hear my darlin' gets to perform tonight? We're ALL goin', right?!". You probably will have sold out shows due to him bringing literally everyone he knows. If the venue has box seats or VIP private areas, he usually hangs around there as Ryuji and most normal people don't mix well. If he can't make it to a show, he sends the most giant bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note.

Nishikiyama Akira

He'll be in the crowd yelling the fan chants and holding up the biggest sign ever. More than happy to just be there to support you and let you know that even if you only have one fan, he will in fact be that one fan. Always gives you a hug after each show he attends, regardless of how sweaty you may be.

Daigo Dojima

The most polar opposite to an idol of all of the boys but that doesn't mean he's incapable of being supportive. His mother probably will not approve initially though, which might be a struggle. He's seldom available to attend shows but he will make an effort to either drop you off or pick you up after a show with his private car. Washes your back for you after particularly long shows.

Mine Yoshitaka

Perhaps the best suited for dating an idol when it comes to looks. Mine dresses and carries himself really well so he'd pair well with some form of celebrity in photographs at least. Actually secretly jealous of all the fans who show up to handshake events, but will kind of pout about it if you tease him. He'll get you back later though, probably in the bedroom. Other than that, he's entirely neutral.

Tatsuo Shinada

Thinks you're just the coolest and the cutest. Type of guy to be like "Babe, I saw you in this magazine today!" before handing you 5 copies of said magazine. If you're in the early stages of your idol career, he'll definitely try to get the word out about you via his reporter connections if he can. Doesn't like to be in the crowd during shows but if he's allowed to stand on the side of the stage behind the curtains to watch and cheer you on, he loves that.

Pj’s full name is Pj parker and he is “silk weaver” a spiderman that doesn’t go by spiderman, he’s based on furry silk orb spiders and he shoots natural webs directly from underneath his finger nails, these webs r razor sharp and strong as steel, he doesn’t know this at the start but he has the ability to soften and harden his web, and this ability is tied to his stability and emotional state

pj is from an abusive household / is poor in a really bad school and thinks very little of himself and has bad anxiety, the first few times he uses his webs he’s unable to make them anything but razor sharp and solid often leading to him harming ppl hes trying to help accidentally or causing a lot of property damage, hes interested fashion and design and enjoys sewing and wants to make a sustainable/ high quality clothing brand one day but can’t afford fashion school, so hes an unpaid intern for a big new york fashion brand and essentially works in a sweat shop and stays there long hours after school to avoid his mother, he’s in denial about being gay and acts hyper masculine at school and with his “friends” and is very quiet / goes mute often

his suit has metal claws / nails with an opening underneath them to allow him to shoot his web comfortably, and his version nyc is colder than usual and snows / rains heavy a lot year round so his suit has a half fur coat top to keep his upper body warm, there are also multiple pockets hidden with the fur to hold important items, in suit hes more talkative and is more of a grey vigilante compared to other spidermen bc he does kill some of his opponents depending on what they’ve done, he likes riding on top of subway trains for fun and sketches the city view a lot / people he sees on the train or walking around for fashion inspiration

also the scar / gash across his face is from the night he got bit, he accidentally shot his razor web at himself and split his cheek / nose / eyebrow open so a lot of the early story he wears multiple bandages going up his face, his “aunt may” is a retired drag queen who he meets accidentally on the subway on his way home from his intern job, she sees his drawing of outfits and compliments them and gives him her card to her boutique / bar, she used to design clothes for top brands herself but was black listed after coming out as trans (she is nonbinary and identified as both man and woman but when she started presenting feminine her career started to tank) now she takes care of lgbt ppl in the city, host clothing drives, and owns the building to her bar always offering a place to stay for people like pj

she knows he’s gay but wants him to figure it out on his own terms, shes the first person he runs to the night he’s bitten and she patches him up and promises to keep his secret, aaaand that’s all i got so far

tldr: scrawny poor weird gay kid dreams of being a fashion icon and gets forced into heroism
