POV: Order 66 never happened, Anakin didn't turn to the Dark Side and Ahsoka ended up rejoining the order a couple of months after the war ended. Now years later they still like to enjoy each other's company as often as possible.

Guide to Jedi Ranking Terminology

I see a lot of confusion about this in fic, so I thought I’d make a post about it. I hope it’s helpful!

Youngling refers to a child— not just a Jedi child, but any child. A child who has been inducted into the Jedi Order is called an initiate. A Jedi initiate is generally addressed by their name, without a title— though sometimes they will be referred to as “young [Name]” by their elders.

A Padawan, Padawan learner, or Jedi apprentice is an initiate who has been apprenticed to a master for formal training. Padawans are not always teenagers; for example, Obi-Wan Kenobi was a Padawan well into his twenties, while Ahsoka Tano, at fourteen years of age, was still considered a youngling at the start of her apprenticeship. They are generally addressed as “Padawan [Name.]”

A Jedi Knight is a Jedi who has been knighted— that is, completed their apprenticeship. The term Jedi Knight refers to any fully-trained Jedi, whether they have attained the rank of master or not. They are generally addressed as “Master [Name,]” not “Knight [Name.]”

A Jedi Master is a Jedi Knight who has been officially recognized as being especially proficient in the Force, typically for training an apprentice to knighthood. They are generally addressed as “Master [Name.]”

A Grandmaster or Grand Master is a Jedi who has been named head of the Order. There is usually, but not always, only one Grandmaster at a time. The Grandmaster is typically recognized in an official capacity as the wisest and oldest member of the Order. They are generally addressed as “Master [Name.]”

Master of the Order, also known as Master of the Council or Grand Master of the Jedi High Council, is the head of the Jedi Council. Prior to the Clone Wars, this title was distinct from that of Grandmaster. For example, Yoda was head of the Order, but Mace Windu was head of the Council. As such, Yoda deferred to Windu on Council matters, such as when the decision to train Anakin Skywalker as a Jedi Knight was ratified by the Council. During the Clone Wars, Windu stepped down from the position to take a more active role on the battlefield, though he remained on the Council; the position was then filled by Yoda. The Master of the Order is generally addressed as “Master [Name.]”

All Jedi above the rank of Padawan are addressed as “Master [Name.]” When one does not know a Jedi’s name, “Master Jedi” is used, such as when Taun We greeted Obi-Wan Kenobi on Kamino.

So... here is my Clone Jedi AU but not exactly what you think. 👀

The Clone Knights:

During the Mandalorian Wars, Mandalorian scientist Demagol created batches of force-sensitive clones.

However, these clones were unstable. After the first few of them went insane and commited suicide, Demagol suspended the experiment and put the remaining clones into stasis chambers.

These clones were hidden for centuries until the Jedi found them while searching the abandoned laboratory.

The Jedi subsequently found a way to avoid the clone madness. They released the oldest clones, including MK-Α-17 and MK-Α-77, from stasis and trained them as Padawans.

After the first generation of Clone Jedi became Knights, they started training the second generation, including MK-2224 and MK-7567.

(*MK means “Mandalorian Knights”.)

Republic Troopers:

Republic troopers are the soldiers of the Galactic Republic; they cooperate with the Jedi Knights to deal with threats from the reconstituted Sith Empire.

Okay listen I know we’re all unhappy because “Ahsoka was never actually a Jedi Knight” well

1. Yoda was ready to make her a Jedi Knight. She chose to leave instead. So she wasn’t really a Padawan when she left either.

2. Luke Skywalker just made himself a frickin Jedi Knight and then Master so Ahsoka can be whatever the heck she wants to be.

3. Little reminder that most of the people alive in the galaxy don’t really even know who the Jedi were. Now they’re just myths. To them, anyone with a lightsaber could be a Jedi Knight.

4. Ahsoka was more a Jedi Knight than most of the actual Jedi Knights. She lived out the code better than the entire council don’t fight me on this you know I’m right.

Mace: I spontaneously learned teleportation one year. And forgot how to do it when the panic died down.

I watched a lot of Star Wars content last weeks, (said it, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan, and Andor and The Mandalorian some months ago) and it inspired me to do something related, after seeing some edits of Bucky as a space pirate in tumblr, i thought they would look good in Star Wars aesthetics;

It isn't a 100% as i'd like to, but i think that's a great first attempt, i'll make some changes later, both in the visuals, and the backstory

But, in general, Steve has recently became a Jedi Knight and Bucky is a Mandalorian, we have enemies to lovers/kind of a forbidden love line of story and etc;

In all of the discussions about Ahsoka being called a "former Jedi Knight" in the opening crawl, I am remembering that Felony recently did that interview where he claimed that Luke Skywalker was not TECHNICALLY a Knight because no one ever officially knighted him, and uh.

Hm. The hypocrisy is just... so pungent.

hear me out: in a star wars happiness/nothing goes wrong au, the jedi order should have a massive inside joke about obi-wan kenobi, respected council member, being everyone's dad.

everyone is in on it. and i mean EVERYONE. ask a padawan who's never met him and they'll look you in the eye and tell you they accidentally called him "dad" once. knights who interacted with him for ten seconds will swear that he's unofficially adopted them. right up until the day he dies, whenever anyone asks him what his and obi-wan's relationship is like, yoda just shakes his head, leans on his staff, and says "the closest thing i have to a father, he is."

#anakin is irrationally mad about it #but he left the order years ago so he can't say anything #ahsoka leans into it so much it's a little concerning #mace doesn't participate directly but he thinks it's hilarious #obi-wan hands something to a young knight he's known for three hours and they say “thanks dad!” or some variation #sw #star wars #obi wan kenobi #yoda #jedi order
