Character x reader / Platonic!Ortho x reader Summary: How the characters would hug you Warnings: None (that I can think) (english is not my first language)

Riddle Rosehearts: Oh man, he would be so awkward, like, if you are not in an already established relationship he couldn't even hug you. He'd let you hug him but would be stiff as a board.

Ace Trappola: Would totally yank you in and squeeze you so hard but it'll last a maximum of 5 seconds. If you want it to last more you gotta stay wrapped around him, he’ll give in. Hopefully.

Deuce Spade: He’d wrap his arms around your shoulders but he won't press his body to yours, my boy is too respectful. If you don’t care about “decency” and hug him properly he’ll blush like no one’s business.

Cater Diamond: I totally see him hugging your waist and swaying just a bit. If he's feeling cheeky he’d snap a photo so quick you wouldn't even notice until you see it posted on Magicam an hour later.

Trey Clover: He’d be so normal about it. Just a normal hug. Thanks the seven for the one sane dude here.

Leona Kingscholar: No hug. You either snuggle in bed or you give up. But those cuddles, man are they good, you two stay like that for a minimum of 2 hours. The maximum does not exist. If you don’t get out of there yourself, you’ll never leave.

Jack Howl: Also a normal hug, he just wraps his arms around you and stays like that for a time, I see him probably taking in your scent but that’s about it. Please don’t mention the helicopter that is his tail. Please.

Ruggie Bucchi: You hug him and he pickpockets you, that's it, nothing else to say. Sorry.

Azul Ashengrotto: Just from the hug you know a business proposal is coming. I don't know how he does it but he hugs so professionally. If he’s feeling very romantic tho it’ll all be really slow. He’d remove his glasses and nearly hang limp in your arms.

Jade Leech: His hugs also have very business vibes from him but he’d also slowly caress your back, his fingertips softly touching your spine sending you shivers. He knows what he’s doing, don’t let his smile deceive you, he's nothing but a little shit.

Floyd Leech: you know how his hugs are … you don’t need me to tell you…

Kalim Al-Asim: Warm and fuzzy, like hugging the sun itself. I don't even know how his face doesn't hurt with all the smiling he does. He’d 100% make little jumps when and after he hugs you. If extremely happy he’d probably squeal or something. He’s cute like that.

Jamil Viper: The moment you hug him you can both see and feel his body relax, he'd let out a breath and hug you tightly. Bring you closer to his chest. Best believe this in the only moment of peace he’ll have all day, just let him enjoy it.

Vil Schoenheit: You can feel his neck straining to not touch you, god forbid he ruins his make-up. That’ll make you think that he feels like hugging you is a chore or that he doesn’t like it, don't believe that, he loves it. Just wait until it’s the end of the day and all his make-up is gone, once you get in bed you’ll be able to lay your head on his chest and cuddle all night

Еpel Felmier: If you're shorter or taller doesn’t matter, he will wrap his arms around your shoulders and hug you as strongly as he can. Will think it’s manly. Please go along with it or he’ll have a crisis once alone in his dorm room.

Rook Hunk: It's happening when you least expect it. You think you're alone, then boom, you get hugged. He’ll stay there as long as you permit it and will spew poetics non-stop. If you are not one to hug people then he'll absolutely brag about it to everyone and their mother.

Idia Shroud: He won't ever initiate, so it's on you this time around. Whatever type of hug it is, long or short, tight or loose, you won’t be seeing him for at least a month after that, he’ll just be hiding until the end of time ( until you and his brother give him no choice and drag him out of his room).

Ortho Shroud: Will hug you, be so happy about it, and then immediately run to his brother to tell him how good it was and list all the mental and physical benefits of hugs. He just wants to help his brother. Cut him some slack.

Malleus Draconia: He sees a hug as a very intimate affair. If you wait for him to hug you then you better be prepared to wait at least 5 months. If you beat him to it he’ll blush. It's gonna be brief and not exactly satisfactory but be prepared to see a ring very soon. Also, he’ll brag. Loudly.

Lilia Vanrouge: Hug attack. It’s a strong embrace if short. Also will shamelessly laugh at your face afterwards.

Silver: More than a hug, it’s a cuddle, his sleeping is quite infectious and you’ll fall right asleep. One of the best naps of your life.

Sebek Zigvolt: He sees you go in for a hug, sidesteps you, yells about how improper all of it is, and then a second later hugs you anyway. Other than a broken eardrum the hug is unimpressive, not exactly something to write home about. Maybe write to his home, for the medical bills, for your ears.

only usually he's trying not to get his lipstick smeared

but when it's your turn, he can't deny he enjoys having you place kiss after kiss on him

though the stickiness of the lipstick is a bit messy, he loves the warmth of your breath against his skin, accompanied by the gentle touch of their lips

there's a proud smile on his face as you litter his face with kisses

surprisingly, the game is really relaxing, although he could really do without the messiness

when it's his turn, his posture straightens slightly while he scans your face to see where to start with each delicate touch of his lips, he strategically places precise and vibrant lipstick marks, ensuring maximum impact and coverage

he pays attention to every detail, from the angle of his kisses to the intensity of his affection

*this one seems to be a reference to Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid". the mermaid princess turns into seafoam and dies at the end, and jade's phrasing seems to mirror how its written in the jp version of the story. i took this line from the eng version of the story.

**he's saying either "charm me" or "show me". the words are pronounced the same and idk if there's in-game text that accompanies their lines, so take this one with a grain of salt pls.

Miscellaneous Notes Regarding Crowley's In-Game Appearance/Quirks/Usage.

Although he has buddies (Deuce/Vil/Grim, to be precise), his SSR is like Rollo's insofar as it does not have the ability to "take" Alchemy classes. As such, all Buddy Levels are fixed at Level 1.

How did the developers choose to work around the "Crowley Special Lessons" mechanic? They didn't. He still shows up if Crowley is present in the selected card lineup. In fact, they go so far as to poke fun at this bizarre arrangement by having him greet himself!

His M3 HP Regen numbers scale with whichever ally's HP he buffs--the maximum of which (at this time of posting) is a whooping 2490 HP as reported with Level 110 New Year's Yukata Rook.

For some curious reason, his vignettes (unlike Rollo's) contain no spoken dialogue. The lore was appreciated nevertheless!

The developers have added a birthday greeting for him. (Yes, I have viewed it already.)

Crowley's preferences are Stylish/Basic, in that order. He has no associated Dorm theme (no, not even Ramshackle).

*Ruggie ran around but did not left the room because he enjoyed it while Mc's anger meter is rising 5 times faster, if she can overblot she have definitely exploded Ruggie's body parts*

*Mc stumbled when someone held her leg*

Mc's thought: first I'm ashamed of seeing improper image of my same gender, then insulted my balloon as inflated and now I had a chance to get a first kiss from this nasty floor.

*Mc looked at who did that ready to kick him out of the world*

Kalim: Is silver really sleeping?

Lilia: Yep... I too was surprised that he had this unique talent. Attacking while snoring

The man on the radio talks with the traffic lady about the cost of going to see your favourite singer, mentions Stevie Nicks, the traffic lady says she'd spend 100 euro maximum. Someone called Tracy won the musical clip competition this morning. Take it away Barbra Streisand, it's your Birthday today.

Blossom upon blossom on the apple tree. I'm peering through my condensation covered window. Two young Rooks are building their first nest high above the apple trees. The ground is littered with all the twigs that fell during construction. The main Rookery is the other side of the house. I wish them luck.

Shiny metropolis part II. Town seems oddly quiet these days. Did the rapture take place again? Or did the mother ship finally find these missing people? Perhaps an unexpected portal?

Can't help but think of South Park and Cartman's alien probe. Such irreverence ... surely I'm going to hell. Best add marshmallows to today's shopping list ...

Request: Floyd, lilia and jamil has turned into children, now their s/o has to take care of them.

A/n: uh yeah I know I'm late and I have nothing to say for myself. Also I had very hard time writing Lilia as a toddler, I can't imagine him as a child. And for Jamil, I just can't write for him, for some reason his personality is very hard for me to grasp.

Warnings: weird children, (in my opinion, all vice dorm leaders+floyd are menace and hazard to society(affectionate)) gn!reader.

Floyd leech

If you thought he was a menace before, he's a literal demon now . He's literally that child that eats the random things on the floor.

He somehow manages to eat stones, you'll never know how.

Tbh you won't find many things different now that he's a child, he still acts pretty much the same, but now he has new weapons. His cute face and baby voice.

He uses it to the maximum. He would bully other people and then put the blame on them. And when no ones looking he would grin like a little demon he is.

He doesn't eat anything except gummy bears and takoyaki. Azul better watch out.

His sleeping habits are also very bad considering his brother enables him too much.

Speaking of his brother. Jade never stops Floyd from doing shit. Partly because it amuses him and partly because he missed his menace of a brother.

Though he would take care of it if anyone decides to mess with his (now) little brother. Jade is known to be ruthless with his vicious grin.

So when jade showed up with his small copy at ramshackle you weren't sure what to do.

Floyd is still Floyd you know. But cuter (if that's possible) and probably less harmful to your health.

"Koebi-chaaan!" He would shout from a mile away from ramshackle and you would hear him. He would then make grabby hands and make you pick him up, which you gladly oblige.

Grim doesn't really like him as Floyd tends to monopolise your time.

When he sleeps you swore you saw an angle instead of the spawn of the devil he acts like during the day.

"Koebi-chan! Would you pick me up again?" He asked giggling, when he turned normal causing you to give him a deadpanned look and glace over at his 6'2 imposing figure.

Lilia Vanrouge

Menace #2.

He...is a weird child. Like the child-you-see drawing-creepy-figures, weird.

Besides that, he okay, not normal but...fine.

He likes going into the forest with silver. He also likes to hear silver sing to the birds, it calms him down and provides a sense of familiarity.

Malleus is having time of his life. He tries to make fun of lilia but Lilia bullied malleus back so much malleus almost set him on fire.

Everyone is diasomnia is pretty chill about their vice dorm-leader being turned into child...except for sebek.

He's crying, screaming, throwing up, shouting "LILIA-SAMA!". Baby Lilia does not like sebek much.

He likes going to concert. Very much. He went to one with his club members and his eyes shined so bright!

If his pranks were bad before, they're worse now. Def uses his even cuter looks to his advantage to get out of shit.

Has no sense of consequences, once jumped in front of a bus to see what death felt like. Sebek, Silver and Malleus have not recovered from the almost death of their father guardian.

Lilia loves being around you and grim. He is fascinated by grim. How are his eyes constantly on fire? Magic? It would take too much magic, how a normal monster has this amount of magic?

He a little bit of magic nerd. Malleus took after him.

He eats his veggies very reluctantly but! Lilia likes to cook for you. You can't say no to that face (he's pouting with years pooling in his dark red eyes).

All in all, I find diasomnia very wholesome.

"Prefect! Was I even cuter that I look now? No need to blush now~"

Jamil Viper

He's pretty chill...usually.

Not as much of a menace as the one(s) mentioned above but can be set off if provoked.

Does not like Kalim. Please keep him away from Jamil, he might set him on fire. He's not the biggest fan of Kalim.

Because of his aversion to kalim, you were left in charge of him (not that you mind).

Jamil would have had a nice peaceful childhood if he wasn't assigned as kalim's attaché, so now doesn't have that duty, he's pretty cocky about his skills.

Good at everything, is a gifted child. Another reason he is arrogant.

Eat his veggies! A good boy indeed. He eats everything you provide him with, but when a bowl of curry and rice is placed in front of him you can't help but notice a different glow in his eyes and a light blush his cheeks are light up with.

He likes to have his hair brushed by you and placed in a neat braid before he goes to sleep. He doesn't like to sleep with his hair open, they get dirty more daily that way (he doesn't like his hair greasy and dirty)

So we know the language barrier au, but how about meme synchrony au?

Inexplicably, internet history is practically the same in both worlds, but memes are just more obscure internet culture for wonderland. Kinda like it’s own subculture, and there are just less people who are chronically online.

Most people know a few memes at least, bottle flip, ice bucket, cinnamon challenge, etc.

Enter yuu, extremely involved in fandom, parody, etc. the pinnacle meme connoisseur. A person who’s coping mechanism is memes.

There is maximum one person in each dorm who can understand the shit they say. As Azul would put it, “It’s like Idia-san, but worse.”

Those people are: Cater, Ruggie, Azul (a case of extreme exposure), Kalim, Vil, and Lilia. (Ignihyde automatically does not count.)

Cater and Ruggie can and will speak memes. Vil could speak memes if he wanted to. Kalim and Azul understand but cannot speak memes. Lilia speaks memes often but it’s jarring and off putting because he combines it with several centuries worth of outdated slang.

Once I was wondering what kinds of birds fly around sync points, so I did some research and compared the bird models to the species that lived in the places where each AC game takes place.

I used iNaturalist and eBird, which helped me compare individual bird species by region and appearance. Photo sources are below in the image. I wanted to put more photos, but Tumblr allows a maximum of 30 images per post.

I have to say that I'm not a bird/animal expert, just an animal enthusiast. I know populations of individual species were very different in the past than they are today.

You are welcome to correct me if I get anything wrong and If you know of any other species that I'm missing, please let me know. 💗

Here is the first model of an eagle/a hawk:

I decided to take screenshots of each bird so I could compare them, but this model actually appeared from AC1 to Liberation.

Common buzzard (Buteo buteo)

This species is most common bird of prey in Eurasia (or has the most observations). It has several morphs.

Long-legged buzzard (Buteo rufinus)

This species has the most observations in Turkey. It can easily be mistaken for a common buzzard.

Suggestions for AC3 & Liberation:

Red-shouldered hawk (Buteo lineatus) - immature

This bird has the most observations in the southeastern part of the USA. The immature individual is more similar to the model because the adult has a more brown or reddish body.

Red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis)

The most common bird of prey in North America, which is also divided into subspecies and morphs.

Bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) - immature

Juvenile bald eagles have similar coloration to the model, as adult plumage coloration appears at less than four years of age.

It's obvious, isn't it? :) Also bald eagle appeared in AC3 Cinematic Trailer.

Next thing is that AC Rogue has actually two models of the eagle (couldn't find this model in files). The second eagle model appears only in the intro and outro of the game and it's more realistic and detailed.

Despite that, AC Rogue ended in Paris, where bald eagles do not occur there. It's possible Shay owns one that flies with him (my new headcanon!).

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the eagle model in the files in AC Unity as well, so I don't have a showcase.

It's a new model this time and it looks a little more realistic, but is still low-poly.

Golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos)

This eagle most closely resembles the model, even though golden eagles are mostly common in mountainous areas. Also it appeared in one of AC Unity Cinematic Trailers.

AC Syndicate is one of the AC games that doesn't have bird of prey on the sync point. Instead they have the rooks (Corvus frugilegus) in London.

Again, I couldn't find the model in the files, but according to the screenshot, the model is more low-poly than the first model of the eagle/hawk.

Bonus: Playable Birds

Since AC Origins, the protagonists have bird companions, thanks to which we can find targets and explore area more easily.

Also the developers confirmed species of them:

Senu - Bonelli's eagle (Aquila fasciata)

Ikaros - Golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos)

Sýnin - Common raven (Corvus corax)

Enkidu - Eastern imperial eagle (Aquila heliaca)
