There are actually several reasons why I had MCU! Alfheim to have several Olden North African, Iranic and Arabic influences in my MCU fics :
. Actually, the Ancient Nordics have raided several parts of North Africa and the Middle East, really ( usually in seaside regions, but you get me ). The Nordics did come have settlements in several regions outside of Scandinavia btw
. And then since Elven and Fae folklore is big in the Ancient Nordic regions, a number of them be showing up to the seashores of the Sahara and some parts of Western Middle East, ( from what I heard so far ) they began hearing about tales about ' desert fae folk ' and ' mountain fae folk ' all that
. And then soon they started to have super cool ideas of Nordic and Celtic faes be having interactions with the ' Saharan Desert fae ' and the ' Iranic mountain fae ' and such
. The Ancient Nordics did try to invade seaside regions of Northern Egypt at least once ( don't know exactly when yet, but such things did happen )....and failed cuz the Nordic fleets be scurrying away from the SCORCHING Egyptian heat AS FAST AS THEY CAN THE SECOND THEY ARE APPROACHING THE NORTHERN EGYPTIAN SEAS OR THE SHORES OF NORTHERN EGYPT
. Actually the Ancient Nordics did try to invade the Northern Saharan regions several times yet failed due to the SCORCHING heat of the Sahara. While they lost in trying to raid the Northern Sahara regions, those who survive did return to their Nordic tribes with amazing stories of ' desert fae, spice fae and fire fae of rhe Sahara ' ( thats what I've heard so far )
. Also we all know that MCU! Asgard and Nidavellir got several European influences ( like MCU! Asgard got Ancient Nordic, Medieval and Renaissance European influences ), and Vanir got several Asian and Siberian influences ( actually several Central Asian and West Siberian influences )
. So I think it'll be fucking fly If we get another realm in the Nine Realms that has several Asiatic influences ( in MCU!Alfheim's case, several Iranic and Arabic influences ) as well 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Meet Ari;
He's a Nordic-Tale inspired OC, with some Marvel influences. He's related to Magni and Modi, but has a very distant relationship. He's consort to Lord Bragi, Prince of the Golden Elves of Alfheim.
They have some cute kids, imo. If not a little strange looking.

WARNING THERE IS A DEGREE OF NSFW UNDER HERE JUST SAYING
anyway!!!! check out this really cool brush i found for adding extra texture?!?! i love it so much the scratchiness really gives it that extra crunchy vibe i just l o v e, especially combined with the gauze brush i use on my lighting layers, and my lazy bending with a marker brush. i’m genuinely so happy with how my style is turning out
i also gave Brynjar a slight redesign in terms of his hair. i really love that little braid he’s got to honour his elven heritage despite being raised by Asgardians. i like to think he blends a both the cultures of Alfheim and Asgard together in his fashion and role as a dignitary of sorts between the two realms since Odin took him in as a sign of goodwill and friendship towards the Light Elves after the war with the Ice Giants. I think he and the Loki of his timeline were really close when Bryn found an interest in the political history of Alfheim and the Nine Realms and spent a lot of time with Loki just reading.
ok now boobs

“Here. Now.” Loki whispers, echoing their wife with a wicked smirk. “Where better?” Eyes meet Sigyn’s ever-so-briefly before the god leans away to sit upright, once more apparently devoting their full attention to the delegation from Alfheim. The large creatures drone on, hefty weight leaning against the stone table and back-spines fanned wide in a display of strength. It’s incredibly dull.
Then, all Hel breaks loose.
With a loud shriek, the goshawk perched on the ambassador’s shoulder takes flight, swerving to the side and swooping low to the ground as if hunting prey. Two more hawks swiftly follow, and a moment later the large snowy owl flaps its wings and launches itself into the air, immediately colliding with a wine-bearing servant who had been trying to escape the chaos. The clatter of silverware hitting the polished floor sparks a chorus of high pitched alarm calls from the snow buntings, all of which, in a great flurry of tiny wings, leave the arms of their people to congregate in the rafters.
All in all, mischief well executed.

About the Muse
Name: Elvurith Feanor
Nickname: El, Alfheim Assassin, (occasionally) elfling
Age: 1973 (looks mid to late 20s)
Features: Medium-long light blonde hair, green eyes, light speckling of freckles on her cheeks, a warm smile, and a bright/cheerful laugh.
Height: 5ft 6in
Occupation: assassin, SHIELD operative, or pirate (each depends on verse, but nearly always an assassin)
Skills: hand to hand knife fighting, shooting (archery and guns), stealth, singing, and occasionally cooking.
Favorite Things: Foxes, Nemesias(orange and purple), Starlight, Green, and Lemon Tarts
Background:
Once a princess of Alfheim and meant to unite her realm with Asgard under her father and the all father through marriage. This fell to shatters when a rebellion of the dark elves broke out in her homeland. Forced to flee, Elvurith found herself at a complete loss of station and begging on the streets of distant realms. One dark day, on the streets of Vanaheim, she was brought to a desicion which changed her life forever.
After this incident, Elvurith found herself seeking out work for killings. She used some training from her upbringing and what she had learned from begging to get by. Slowly word spread of an assassin for hire. “A blonde from Alfheim with a warm smile” was the only description going around. She would hear of someone needing a hired man and would make herself known. She had done it so often and for so long that killing seemed to be the only thing she could do. El wasn’t proud of this line of work, but it kept her off the streets and provided enough income she could help others in her position.
Elvurith slipped into Midgard every century or so and would make herself useful there. Something about this realm made her feel some sort of semblance of home and constantly drew her back. Adapting to the changes over time became easier and easier. While she would still offer her skills as needed, she preferred a more adventurous journey. Always trying to catch the next ride to some so called “far off” land. It was the people of Midgard and the many sights of the land that made her wish for some sort of companionship or family. Every return to Midgard, or earth as she more commonly began calling it, she searched for person or persons to give her that attachment. This doesn’t go without heart break or danger along with it. She could never have the life these people had and often wished she wasn’t born an elf so she wouldn’t have to say ‘farewell’ to so many dear faces she would never see again.
Current Face Claim: Natalie Dormer
Previous Face Claim: Emilia Clark as Daenerys Targaryen

ok so. i am currently working on a fic. its a story that has been rotating in my brain for years about an avengers OC. idk if i want to start posting it as a WIP or wait until it's finished.
what im gonna do is post the prologue here, under the cut. it is entirely worldbuilding because. i came up with a new alien species with Lore™️ that i made as canon compliant as possible because im a fucking nerd. so you kinda need to know all of that before i can tell the actual story.
if you're interested, please give it a read and tell me what you think and whether you would want to read more! if it gets enough attention i'll start posting the chapters i have to ao3. i have a tag list for my fics so lmk if you want to be added to that too.
quick summary of the fic as a whole: The last surviving member of the Light Elf race, Einar, is taken in by the Avengers when they are orphaned at 10 years old. They nurse Einar back to health, and slowly form a bond with them, helping them to process their grief and heal from their trauma. There's a lot of fluff, a lot of angst, a lot of hurt/comfort, and of course found family.
It starts during the events of Thor: The Dark World and follows the storyline of the MCU from there.
Prologue:
In the beginning, there was only darkness. The only world to exist in that darkness was a tiny, desolate rock named Alfheim. This was the home of my ancestors, the Elves, before time, before space, before light.
No one knows how long they lived like that, alone in the dark. All we know is that at some point that darkness ended. The universe began, and light and life exploded into existence. For most of the Elves, this was the most beautiful thing they had ever seen. They swore to protect and nurture all life and to serve the light. But others believed that this was a perversion of the natural order, that the universe belonged in darkness and should be returned to that state. They vowed to destroy the light by any means possible.
War broke out between the two opposing sides, an Elvish Civil War that lasted for many billions of years, with both sides only ever coming together to kill each other. And so, they evolved separately into two species: the Dark Elves and the Light Elves. Each side became stronger and stronger with each generation, evolving new abilities and traits to give them an edge in battle.
A few millennia ago, a great battle ensued between these two sides on Svardalfheim. The Dark Elves tried to use their most powerful weapon, the Aether, to destroy the universe. The Light Elves fought with all their might, but the Dark Elves had the upper hand. That is until the Asgardians arrived.
Odin's father, King Bor, and his army tipped the scales and won the battle for the Light Elves. They confiscated the Aether and sealed it away where no one would find it. Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves, fled in his ship and bombed the planet behind him hoping to destroy what remained of the Light Elf army, not caring if his own perished as well.
Only two Light Elves survived.
They fled to find a place to hide, to recover their strength for what they knew would be the final battle of the War. They needed a primitive, unknown, safe planet to seek refuge. They found one.
Earth. Dominated by a bipedal, fairly intelligent species descended from tree dwellers. No one would think to look for them there. It was on this planet in the middle of nowhere that these two Elves decided to take a risk, one last desperate attempt to give them an edge against the Dark Elves. They had a baby.
That child, the last Light Elf baby to ever be born, came to be in England, Earth, in the spring of 2003. They named the child Einar, an old Norse name meaning 'the lonely warrior', for that is the future they believed their child was destined for. Little did they know how wrong they would turn out to be.

Before, Thor knew Jane was alive, so he hoped to get back with her. Now that she's dead, what do you think he would do? Be with someone else or go to Valhalla to be with Jane?
HE WOULD NOT BE WITH SOMEONE ELSE EXCUSE ME! (I don't think they'd give him a love interest now at the old age of 1500 after going so hard to establish she is his one and only.)
He's definitely hoping to reunite with her in Valhalla. And that depresses me. If this was written with ANY competence, he would do something to get her back, the way he did in the comics, or Wanda did for her family (reading that book), instead of just accepting his fate like a nobody NPC loser that they've made him.
Even Chris said Thor's lost his mind now and needs to do something about it. At least show him TRYING to find acceptance the way Wanda did by going to see Vision's deadbody (then having a meltdown and creating a new reality w has him and her being happy and having babies.).
So yeah, the answer to your question is a secret third option - he should try to bring her back. But Marvel is pathetic.
[Sidenote: I'm deep in God of War content as I recently finished the game, and I just-- there's so much fun stuff to do w Norse myth that it makes me angry w how little effort Marvel put. Not just Thor, but all three of his children use thunder in such creative ways. Sindri goes to a lake of souls in Alfheim to revive his brother Brok. Odin hung from Yggdrasill for 9 days and 9 nights to gain knowledge.
Can't we do something like this in MCU? Have his last adventure be reviving Asgard which he learns how to do by hanging on the tree. I know the tree is gone. Everything that made his story interesting is gone. But hey, hE fInAlLy FoUnD hIs PuRpOsE.]

Some HCs of MCU! Alfheim dances :
. Since I mentioned that Light Elves in general love theatre, music and dance
One popular Alfheimr dance is the Firework dance
Basically a group of Light Elves be taking 2 balls of firework balls each and just dance to passionate music with a HUNCH of spinning and floating
It is originated from the Pleasure Elves realm and it soon became a popular dance in Alfheim
It has several nods to the Tarantella dance and the Flamenco btw
. And then the sand dance of Alfheim has several nods to Egyptian belly dance, Amazigh folk dances, and Arabic folk dances
It basically is a sand Manipulation dance and originated from the Spice Elves realm
. And then there is a light painting dance, basically it's a floating dance where light bending elves be showcasing light shows WHILE FLOATING AND DANCING. It originated from the Vale Elves realm and it has several nods to Balkan and Iberian folk dances btw.
Basically there are a number of elemental relateddances in Alfheim btw
And also the water ball dance in Alfheim is originated from the Sea Elves, and it has several nods to RYTHMIC GYMNASTICS, contemporary dancing, Grecian folk dances and Celtic folk dancing 🤩🤩🤩🤩😊😊😊
Also in those 4 Alfheimr dances mentioned
Water Ball dance : * spectators be all getting their anti water splash umbrellas or force fields on *
Sand dance : * spectators be all getting their anti sand hoodies, shawls, and/or shades or force fields on *

— on the nine realms ; a general study of asgard .
aka vi's world-building reference .
The following details are what I consider to be canon for the Nine Realms. This is primarily based on what we know from the MCU, some minor spinoffs (the thor video game comes to mind), concept art + screenplays and some inspirations pulled from the marvel comics (no particular runs just in general)
It's what I'll be referencing when Thor speaks of the Nine Realms, specific planets within them, and Asgard.
THE NINE REALMS (general.)
The following are all the known realms under Asgardian Protection (pulled from the MCU.) Technically there are 10 realms but only 9 if you don't count Asgard.
Asgard || A flat planet also known as 'the realm eternal' . Home of the Asgardians . Asgard resides in its own pocket dimension in deep space and can only be accessed by wormholes. The center of Yggdrasil .
Vanaheim || Sister planet to Asgard . Where the Vanir (sister species) live . Also where skraelings, some breeds of trolls, and mire giants live . (hc : frigga's homeland.) Where hogun is from.
Alfheim || Home of the Light Elves . Highly magically inclined . To the north live the Falligrians and Falligar the Behemoth .
Svartalflheim/Harudheen || Home of the Dark Elves . Once prosperous, Svartalfheim and its surrounding planets have been completely corrupted by Dark Matter . The Dark Elves (and all other life) are now extinct, with a barren land destroyed by war and the Aether (reality stone) .
Muspelheim || Realm of fire. Where Surtur lives. Various Infernir live here . (Infernir also known as Fire Demons and Fire Giants.) Home to The Infernal Forge and a material called "Scabrite" . Scabrite makes up all Muspelheim's armor and weapons . It can absorb incredible amounts of heat .
Niflheim || A realm of the mists and cold . Helheim exists within the depths of Niflheim . Notoriously, Niflheim's legends say that the spirits of the dishonorable dead and the damned travel the dense fogs there . Hela was banished to Helheim, sealed in the Cave of Ages .
Jotunheim || Realm of the Frost Giants and eternal ice and snow . Led by King Laufey . A portion of Jotunheim was destroyed by Loki during the events of "Thor" (2011) .
Nidavellir || A small planet built around a neutron star . Where King Eitri and the dwarves live. The birthplace of urdu metal and its enchanted objects and weapons, including the Infinity Gauntlet, Gungnir, Mjolnir and Stormbreaker .
Midgard || A realm surrounded by its own solar system with 8 other planets. The main inhabitants of Midgard reside on Earth . Home of the Avengers and Jane Foster. A known host of a wellspring of the 'water of sights' that is connected to the Nornns.
Nornheim/Urðarbrunnr || Presumably: a realm connected to the nornns/water of sights, that is inhabited by other beings beyond the nornns , such as rock trolls. (it's implied the nornns themselves are kept to the waters and are semi-supernatural beings.) Filled with forests , swamps , and large mountains .
ASGARD (overview.)
A flat planet with a top side and a bottom side. Topside features various biomes including but not limited to: forests, mountains and cliffs, deep mines and cave systems, jungles, beaches, and small deserts. The bottom plane of Asgard is host to large crystal structures. (hc: mined and utilized as energy sources and magic storage for spells, weapons, and various other mechanisms throughout Asgard.)
Has day and night cycles, an atmosphere, and various weather patterns. Yearly consists of two (and a half) seasons. Its primary two are summer and spring. (Summer has warm days and evenings/nights that result in easily-melting flingsnö , or a light and powdery falling snow.) Spring (Asgard's longest season), is most hallmarked by its near-perpetual twilight hours. Asgard also exhibits some signs of the beginning of fall, which presumably a farmer's season of rest, but Asgard itself does not experience cold snaps or winters.
Asgard boasts a vast series of waterfalls, rivers, and fjords, though all ultimately lead to, and end in, the Sea of Space. The central city is built around and above these waterways.
The Bifrost spans from the Palace of Valskjalf to Himinbjorg, the Bifrost's observatory. This bridge spans the broad length of the Sea of Space, and reveals the cosmos of space the farther out towards the observatory one travels.
Asgard has 1 sun (that orbits around Asgard perpendicularly), 2 (stationary) moons that can be seen during the day.
Asgard's main colors are red and gold. Its main symbol is the celtic triquetra (sometimes also referred to as the trinity knot.)
Asgard uses all forms of viking art styles, but its main three consist of: Jellinge Style, Mammen Style, and especially Urnes Style .
ASGARD (places.)
Locations in Asgard (based on the 1960s comics - present comics. Not comic or mcu accurate obvsly but i'm taking liberties and referencing what I can within reason.)
Valaskjalf - (hc'd) name of the city of Asgard. It houses the Royal Palace of Valaskjalf where Thor + co live. The palace gardens are run by the Queen of Asgard (currently: Frigga) and are called Fólkvangr. Within the great city of Valaskjalf is the Hall of Science, within which is a great ash tree representing Yggdrasil, and acting as an observatory of the Nine Realms.
Himinbjorg - Heimdall's observatory, which can only work upon use of Hofund, an uru-made sword wielded by Heimdall.
The Sea of Space - the name of the sea that stretches from the Asgardian fjords and out into the void of space (also synonymous with "the void of Yggdrasil".)
Gundershelm - the mining region of Asgard. From here can be found the descent into the crystal caves beneath Asgard, known as the Glade of Crystals. A series of waterfalls and great fjord surrounds this place. The crystals begin to form even outside of the mouth of the mining caves descending down. Hence the name 'glade' of crystals, as the fjord looks something like an open patch in a field of snow from above and afar. Therein also lies the Amethyst Cavern and Boulder Road (which is said to span all the way past Varinheim into Skornheim. The trek can be dangerous due to how long it is, and its intense heat.) One of the more popular mines, the "Mines of Andvari" also is here in Gundershelm.
Varinheim - the mountainous area of Asgard, where the asgardian wolves dwell, amongst other hazardous beasts. Varinheim is where the Trials of Virtue (an Asgardian 'coming of age' trial) is held. It is often filled with mists from the snowy peaks far overhead, and the more uncommonly traveled lands are referred to by commoners as the 'land of the lost'. Hreidmar's Hol is deep within the land of the lost, which is a mysterious valley Asgardians dare not pass into for long. Here there is a strange old man called Hardol who is an ancient healer.
Ringsfjord - a merchant town nestled in one of Valakjalf's fjords. It's a place where the finest smithies and weapons makers make their shops, as well as magical enchanters. Legends have it that four enchanter brothers named Brona, Enrakt, Forsung and Magnir lived in Ringsjford, and that Brona was one of the first Asgardians to discover the rifts between realms. (One of which was named 'Brona's Barrier'.) But Brona's discoveries had long since been lost to time, especially after the creation of the Bifrost (until Loki, an equally adept sorcerer, was able to rediscover the passageways between realms for himself). Their forge is called "Forge of the Sons of Ivaldi" and boasts some of the finest asgardian-made weapons in the city.
Skornheim - another old and magic-rife land that's filled to the brim with danger. Including but not limited to; dense swamp-woods, quicksand, spiny plants (called 'nightmare plants'). The most important point of interest here is Skornheim's Stronghold which is a surviving ruin from the first battles against Surtur.
Gymirsgard - west of Skornheim. To reach Gymirsgard, one would have to traverse through the dense forest/swamps and brave the threat of unusually large water-dragons the likes of the fabled Jormangundir.

Looking to Track Down a fic
I, unfortunately, suspect it has been deleted but even so confirmation would be nice
I’m unfortunately also unsure of the title of this fic but here’s what I remember about it and would appreciate any help in finding it again.
Site: AO3
Ship: Thorki/Thunderfrost (Thor/Loki)
Rating: most likely E but it also might be Not Rated
Fandom: I strongly suspect MCU based on their physical descriptions (dark haired Loki and blonde Thor as well as the fact that they refer to each other as brothers) but wouldn’t entirely rule out Norse Myth and I can’t say for certain if it’s MCU or Thor Movies
Status: Multichapter, incomplete
There’ll likely be some skipping around as I lay out what I remember of the plot as well as some glossing over of certain parts that I don’t remember as well as others.
Mega important Key Point of the fic: Loki is a virgin and Thor finds that super attractive and doesn’t properly penetrate (I’m 99% sure Loki is either intersex or Jotuns are single sex in this AU but he also might be ftm or straight up a girl)
The first key event I remember, though I know it’s not the start of the fic but rather I think it’s one of those “let’s establish their past to catch up to the present” montages, one of them being that it’s Thor’s birthday and he receives a gift from the dwarves (or potentially one?) that he says is for Thor’s future betrothed/wife and while no one says what in it, Loki has an idea that proves to be at least close later
These two fact clash into each other very shortly after Loki propositions Thor as he locks Loki in the chastity he received from the dwarves
Loki, later, frustrated breaks into Thor’s room- I can’t remember if he intended to seduce him or not- and finds the box the body jewelry is kept in and decides to put the rest of it on, which includes a tongue piercings, his nipples, and his clit (again not sure if he has one naturally or if he shape shifted for it) as well as a Y chain from his chest to his clit and cuffs on his wrists and ankles. All of which once he puts it on only Thor can take off.
Thor does, eventually, come back but rather than penetrating Loki like he wants he plays with him instead
Loki wakes up after the act to find the chastity finished and locked in place in both holes and his clit shielded
I remember in the author’s note for the last chapter that the author noted that they’d started with either the one discussed or another after it and nothing else, thus needing to work backwards and build into it.
Things this may also include but I’m genuinely not sure:
there might be an enchanted replica of Thor’s cock that Loki is potentially penetrated by by both himself (when he breaks into Thor’s room) and Thor that sensation-wise is linked to Thor but I’m genuinely not sure
If Loki is intersex I’m 99% sure Thor plugs not only his vagina but also cages his dick.
Following that same line Loki either gives himself a PA with a sound attached that Thor locks in place, OR Loki wakes up after to that addition as well
At some point it’s mentioned that Loki has been away at Alfheim, for a noteable amount of time, whether that is before or after the scene where Thor puts him in full chastity I’m not sure, I suspect after because I have vague recollections of Loki making comments about not being able to get off the whole time
Thank you for any help you can offer.

. Sigyn
. Amora the Enchantress ( I saw that fancast becoming popular on tumblr )
. Queen Medusa of the Inhumans
. Queen Aelsa Featherwine of Alfheim ( cuz why tf not )
. Venus/Aphrodite Ourania ( cuz why not, since a Hercules/ Olympian themed movie is on the horizon with Zeus' debut in Thor Love and Thunder )
