School Play

❅Summary : Your school is having a play. What happens when two over dramatic actors get a role? Chaos that’s what happens and if Oikawa and Atsumu are part of it you Osamu and Iwaizumi are part of it.

❅A/N : Atsumu and Oikawa are such a chaotic duo them being so over dramatic would be chaotic especially in a play setting. I also made two endings for this which will be labeled

Part of The Troublesome Five

A typical Monday at your school when Tsumu and Oikawa are fighting over the smallest thing while you sat in the middle dealing with their shit

As soon as they heard your teacher walking in they stopped their bantering

“Alright everyone settle down I have an announcement to make” your teacher said as she entered the classroom

“So our school thought of doing a play, Before we have questions of course you don't have to take part if you don't want to but you if you want to you'll have to audition” she said

“That's it so any questions” she asked as the room went silent

“Are you all sure, I don't want anyone to ask me after this” she said raising an eyebrow though still no one raised their hands

“Alright here's the info sheet, class dismissed” she said as she left the classroom

“I don't know about you guys but I think I'll be perfect for the lead” Oikawa said proudly

“Pfft as if, I'll be a much better choice than you” Tsumu chimes in

“You haven't even checked the info sheet yet” Iwaizumi said annoyed

“That's how confident they are on getting a role they won't get” Samu said nonchalantly as they glare at him

“The play is a musical based on the Little Mermaid and auditions are until Friday” you said as you read the info sheet

“I think we all should audition, plays are really fun” you continued

“Well those two definitely want to do it” Iwaizumi points at Tsumu and Oikawa

“I'll be perfect Prince Eric and y/n can be my Ariel” Oikawa said as he winked at you

“When pigs fly” Tsumu glared angrily at Oikawa

“Alright alright it says if we want to audition we'll have to the auditorium to collect a script for our audition” you said reading the info sheet carefully

“Alright then to the auditorium we go” Tsumu said punching the air

You all make your way to the auditorium to get your scripts then proceeded to walk home together

“This is a really long script” Samu said as he scrolled through the script

“You're only supposed to read the parts of the character you want to audition” Tsumu said

“We have to sing in this?” Iwaizumi scowled

“Yeah doesn't it sound fun” you said excitedly as Iwaizumi gives you a confused look

“I'd love to see you sing Iwa-chan” Oikawa grinned as Iwaizumi smacks his head

“Whatever let's just practice once we get home” Oikawa said excitedly

Once you get home you all are greeted with the sweet aroma of the lunch your mother made

“Woah mom the food smells really good” Tsumu said as you all nod

“Aww thank you sweetie, how was school today” your mother asked

“It was great” you replied

“We're all auditioning for a play we'll need to practice all day” you continued

“Someone's very excited” your father chuckles as you blush

“Well you'll need a lot of energy to practice so make sure to eat a lot” your mother said

As soon as you finished your lunch you all rushed towards your room to practice

Though it was hard for you to practice seriously when Oikawa and Tsumu were fighting over how overdramatic one was being

“You sound like a dying old man” Oikawa said annoyed

“SHUT UP YOU SOUND LIKE A GUY AT A STRIP CLUB” Tsumu yelled as Oikawa gasped loudly

“ARE YOU TRYING TO AUDITION FOR SOMEONE'S WHOSE DYING” Oikawa yelled back

“Will you both shut up” you said as you pulled their ears while they winced in pain

They stopped for a little while until you went to the singing part of the script

“You both sound so stupid” Samu said

“You clearly can't sing” Iwaizumi chimed in

“SHUT UP” they both said in unison

They both looked at each other and sighed

This is gonna be a very long day

The whole day was eventful to say the least

Oikawa and Tsumu were fighting over so many small things to the point where you just didn't care anymore

“Hey y/n you're auditioning for Ariel right?” Iwaizumi asked

Yeah why? You questioned

“Don't you need to sing part of your world for your audition” he continued

“Oh right I guess I forgot” you said as you scroll through to find the lyrics

“Is my princess gonna sing” Oikawa gasped

“Don't get ahead of yourself they're not gonna give you Eric” Tsumu scowled

“Pfft you're just like that stupid king who won't let Ariel be free” Oikawa scowled back

“Do you guys want me to sing or what” you scolded they both went quiet after

After you sung Part of Your World everyone was moved by your voice

“Your voice was so good princess I am in love” Oikawa said dramatically

“Shut up you're ruining it stupidkawa” Iwaizumi scolded

“You're definitely gonna get her” Samu said happily

“Aww thanks Samu” you said as you hugged him tightly

“If you don't we're gonna riot” Tsumu said angrily

“You're gonna riot either way cuz your not getting a part” Samu deadpanned

“SHUT YER TRAP” Tsumu yelled at Samu as he rolled his eyes

A few more minutes later Oikawa gasped loudly

“What is it this time” Iwaizumi glared

“Look there's a kissing scene between Ariel and Eric at the end” Oikawa said smugly as both of your brothers death glared at him

“WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU KISS OUR SISTER” they said in unison

“Well that's what the script said” Oikawa grinned

“I mean I don't mind it's just acting after all” you said nonchalantly

“WHAT” Tsumu and Samu look at you in disbelief as a huge smile is plastered on Oikawa's face

“IT'S YOUR FIRST KISS IT HAS TO BE SPECIAL AND NOT WITH SOMEONE THAT PERVERSE” Tsumu yelled

“I mean it could be worse” you said shrugging your shoulders

they were about to continue but you all hear your mother yelling from downstairs

“Guys go down for dinner” your mother yells so you all rushed down

“I didn't know my daughter had such a melodious voice” your mother said proudly you blush profusely from embarrassment

“Well the walls aren't thick you know” your mother said chuckling

“You all will definitely get a part” your mother smiled brightly

“Thank you” you all said happily

After much fighting and practicing your asses off for the next few days you all were at the auditorium to audition

“This is so nerve wracking” you said shaking

“It’s alright princess you don’t need to worry because I’m here” Oikawa said about to hug you but Tsumu pushed him away and hugged you instead

“Yes what he said” Tsumu said sending a glare to Oikawa who did the same

“I don’t think you two should even rehearse in the same room” Iwaizumi said blankly

“They’d kill each other before they reach the door to the auditorium” Samu chimed in

After you all auditioned you were a nerve rack

“When did they say they’d announce the cast” Oikawa asked

“On Monday on the posters they put at the front of the school” Iwaizumi replied

“Hey sis stop shaking you did great” Samu said as he gives you a reassuring smile

“Thanks you all did great too but I still can’t help but be nervous” you said

“It’s alright whatever happens we’ll support each other except Oikawa” Tsumu said proudly

“HEY I’M RIGHT HERE YOU KNOW” Oikawa yelled

“Alright that’s enough” Iwaizumi said smacking both their heads

You couldn’t sleep during the weekends. All you could think about is if you were gonna get a part. As soon as you all went to school on Monday you all rushed to see the cast list. Surprisingly you all actually got a role whether minor or major.

“I see our names” you said excitedly

“I got Ariel” you smiled brightly

“I got the King” Tsumu said proudly punching his fists in the air

“I got Eric in your face I got the lead unlike you!” Oikawa said smugly as he stuck his tongue out to Tsumu. Before they were about to fight Iwaizumi smacked them

“I got Sebastian” Samu said nonchalantly

“You got the crab who goes and helps Ariel” You said excitingly

“Looks like us three are buddies” Iwaizumi smiled holding Tsumu and Oikawa back from killing each other “I got flounder"

Mission accomplished you all thought but now it was time for rehearsals

Rehearsals went well aside from the fact that the director aka the drama teacher had to deal with Tsumu and Oikawa fighting which you, Samu and Iwaizumi apologize profusely for. It was fun until you got to the part when you got your costumes.

“My costume is pretty tight” Oikawa said trying to adjust it

“Quit complaining it’s not as ridiculous as ours” Iwaizumi scoffed

“Pfft you look so stupid” Tsumu said laughing

“At least I’m not an old man with a weirdass beard” Samu retorts as Tsumu glares at him

“Mine’s a bit revealing” you said worriedly as you hear Oikawa whistle

“You’ll be fine m’lady as long as I’m here” he said as he kissed your hand

Iwaizumi held back Tsumu and Samu from killing him

A few weeks pass and it was time for opening night

“I’m so excited for you all” your mother said

“We all are” Iwaizumi’s father chimes in

“We practiced our butts off for this after all” you said

“Prepare to be amazed” Atsumu said proudly

“Amazed on how stupid your costume is” Samu chuckled

“SHUT YER TRAP” Tsumu said about to lunge Samu

“Alright don’t kill each other before it even starts” your father said getting in between them as all your parents laugh from their shenanigans

“Go break a leg” Oikawa’s mom said raising her fist

“We will” you all said in unison

Your parents were moved by your renditions of each song

During the “kissing scene” you could see Tsumu and Samu glaring at Oikawa backstage

Tsumu missed some of his lines which made some awkward silence which you all laughed at backstage. Overall it was really fun for all of you

“So how was your first kiss” Oikawa said smugly

“It was fine you’re a bad kisser though Kawa” you chuckle as Oikawa pouts

“Well I’d rather have it with you then anyone else except maybe Zumi” you continue

“With my best friend how dare you” Oikawa gasped

“I do not associate myself with you” Iwaizumi glared

“You both are so mean” Oikawa pouted

“Tsumu was so high and mighty only to end up forgetting his lines” Samu laughs

“SHUT YER TRAP” Tsumu yelled

“It's fine if anything the audience found it more entertaining” you said patting Tsumus shoulder

“Thanks sis” he smiled

You all proceed to leave your dressing rooms to stage door with the audience

“You all did great out there” your mother said proudly

“How bout we go have dinner on me” your father said

IWAIZUMI ENDING

“IT’S HERE” Oikawa rushes to the cast list then makes the loudest gasp you’ve heard him make

“The hell is wrong with you now” Iwaizumi said angrily as Tsumu looks over the cast list

“HAHAHA HE DIDN’T GET ERIC” Tsumu laughs loudly

“SHUT UP” Oikawa sent death glares to Tsumu

“Who got him then” you asked innocently

“IWA-CHAN HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME” Oikawa whined like a baby

“Well that answers your question” Samu said nonchalantly

“I COULD’VE GIVEN Y/N-CHAN HER FIRST KISS” Oikawa continued looking like a baby throwing a tantrum as multiple people stared at him giving him weird looks

“Stop acting like a child” Iwaizumi headbutts Oikawa in the head

“Don’t hit him too hard yer gonna end up in the nurse’s office again” you scolded

“Well Iwaizumi is a much better option then seeing her kiss you” Tsumu sighed in relief

“At least you got Flounder” Samu said

“Shut up” Oikawa replied

Rehearsals were fine apart from Oikawa complaining on how he couldn’t kiss you and shit as Tsumu laughed at him which caused them to fight but Iwaizumi dealt with them. Still pretty fun until the costumes

“My costume looks ridiculous I’d look much better in that” Oikawa complained as he pointed to what Iwaizumi was wearing

“Quit complaining” Iwaizumi scolded

“You wouldn’t be saying that if you didn’t get to kiss Y/N-chan” Oikawa retorts

“Shut up Trashykawa” Iwaizumi glared

“Alright that’s enough you both are lucky she’s still in the changing room” Samu said

“My costume is kinda revealing” you said worriedly

“It looks fine don’t worry” Iwaizumi gives you a reassuring smile

A few weeks pass and it was time for opening night

“I’m so excited for you all” your mother said

“We all are” Iwaizumi’s father chimes in

“We practiced our butts off for this after all” you said

“My acting will blow your minds” Oikawa said proudly

“As if you practiced you were whining last week on how you didn’t get Eric” Iwaizumi glared

“I’ve blossomed into a new person” Oikawa said proudly

“Blossomed my ass” Iwaizumi scoffed

“Alright no need to fight you should go get ready” your father said

“Go break a leg” Oikawa’s mom said raising her fist

“We will” you all said in unison

Your parents were moved by your renditions of each song

During the “kissing scene” Iwaizumi gave you a reassuring smile and whispered that you didn’t have to do it if you didn’t want to but you didn’t want to back out. Oikawa of course was still jealous that he doesn’t get to kiss you though he felt proud of Iwaizumi breaking out of his shell with you. Overall it was really fun for all of you

“Sooo how was the kiss” Oikawa asked curiously

“Don’t butt into those kind of things dumbass” Iwaizumi glared

“It was fine I wasn't expecting Zumi to be a good kisser” you tease as he blushes profusely

“T-thanks I guess” he looked away in embarrassment

“I think I’d still be better though” Oikawa said earning a smack from Iwaizumi

“I highly doubt that” you replied

You all proceed to leave your dressing rooms to stage door with the audience

“You all did great out there” your mother said proudly

“How bout we go have dinner on me” your father said

The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human

Genre: Action

Pitch: Metroid meets Shadow of the Colossus after global warming.

My expectations: The dense, layered pixel art and complex map imply that serious effort went into whatever it is I'm about to play. The screenshots don't present much obvious action, though.

Review:

Enemies are a threat in your typical Metroid game, but not for long. The first time through a new area, players are likely to be cautious; perhaps even fearful. By the third or fourth time through that same room, Samus will have grown so powerful that popping enemies is as challenging and meaningful as popping bubble wrap. Slamming a fist down on bubble wrap that was once a scary threat? Now that’s satisfying. Shadow of the Colossus does not fill its vast landscape with trivial monsters. It is a series of boss fights, where each boss is a world unto itself, to be studied, climbed, and attacked.

The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human wants so badly to combine the two, but it’s confused about which half of the mermaid is supposed to be a fish.

There’s no challenge, no satisfaction in moving through its oversized, vacant labyrinth. Boss fights are messy, twitchy shootouts that consistently overstay their welcome.

Players control a submarine, which scoots freely through the sidescrolling world. You can forget about the “how do I get up there?” puzzles that defined Metroid and Colossus. You can forget the appeal and depth of those games, altogether.

+ Looks good! (Mostly.) + Intuitive controls. + It's always nice to acquire a power-up. + Good message about the danger of global warming and the other ways we will destroy ourselves.

– A huge, maze-like, non-linear world...and most of it is empty? Are you kidding? – Weird visual problems. The slightly-off tiled background is a constant distraction. The submarine is a flat gray, without any shadows, and its pixels are a totally different scale from the rest of the game. Background and foreground can be hard to distinguish. – I'm hesitant to ding the game too harshly for this. I haven't tested any other controllers, so maybe this problem is unique to my weird hardware, but since I can only speak to my own experience: Yo, this is the worst rumble issue I have ever found in a game. The controller vibrates when you'd expect—getting hit, firing a harpoon, etc.—but then it keeps going for five seconds. That is a long time to shake at maximum power just for taking one shot. – Most bosses are faster than you and shoot projectiles without warning, so getting in their faces doesn't work. Taking opportunistic shots from a afar, and retreating further to recover health is a reliable way to whittle them down, but they set an instant-death trap that blends into the background, and there's another five minutes down the drain.

🧡🧡🤍🤍🤍 Bottom Line: Points for effort, but that's all. The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human is a shallow game (sorry) that fundamentally misunderstands everything that inspired it.
