i finished it!!! wow!!! i cannot believe how impressed i am with this season?? i feel like they really listened to everything people complained about and fixed it. they're finally answering real questions and leading us to a satisfying conclusion and it's all coming together and ahhhh it's so rare these days that a tv show gets a good, planned-out ending and i'm so excited to see it. i LOVED the little clues they gave us throughout the season! i guessed some of the plot points but not the biggest one, so that's awesome. it was the exact right amount of foreshadowing. i am really really happy with the direction the show is going and yeah i'm just really impressed ;-;

Hello friends. Okay, I spent some time offline, and did speak in length to a dear friend in England today. I think I understand a few things more. Firstly... there are no rules. And this is my timeline, and I get to change it as I see fit. When I first came to Tumblr it was for one purpose, I kid you not. I knew that Meghan Markle was in her supposed first pregnancy... and I knew it was a lie. I have carried a baby, I know how it works, and she was in my opinion lying. This timeframe coincided with my recent awakening of world events and falling down other rabbit holes.
I was gung-ho on both. And I must say, the world events thing did not serve me well on social media. I have never found it beneficial to argue with others about things we do not agree with. And so a few months into my profile building here on Tumblr and connecting I set my own rules on what it is I am here for. And trust me... the people I have connected with mean so much to me. Now then... I do follow some who I only give out likes to and more private conversations. You know who you are. So for the record I am going to be clear of who I am.
I served under Ronald Reagan while in the Navy. I was always more on the conservative side, although I used to joke that as a Californian, I was sitting on the wall in between and fell over to the right. I used to think a lot of liberal policies sounded good on paper, but that in reality they did not work very well. That has been proven to be true in my estimation. But let me be clear. I do not think the Republican view as it stands today is working out either in a bulk of cases, especially in Washington D.C. Our government is seriously compromised within both parties, and I am also speaking of all branches. Neither party is what it once was, and if you are not aware of what the Global agenda is for the common person I cannot help you. And it is not my place in life to even attempt it. We all journey as we do.
I then found my feet here. My goals were to talk of things I am interested in, loved all my life, and to find some fun in my days. When I stick to that... I thrive. But I am finding that as many more are awakening to the fact that our world is slipping away... we are all talking more. And the planned divisiveness is impacting all of us.
It is going to get worse. No matter what your stand is. And I completely believe this summer is going to get rough in the US. Very rough.
So what did I decide? Well... I want to be here. If I drift off, which was surprisingly easy this week, I do not get to enjoy dishing on all things royal, art, history, travel, spiritual life, pets, and the love I have for friends I have made here.
I may veer off to world events. I am no longer affiliated with any political party. I do not believe there are many in places of power who have our best interests at heart. When the WEF says that population control is a main agenda, I believe them. I have done my studying and digging... and I understand. History is repeating itself, but there is no one who will be landing on a shore in Normandy to save our world any longer.
I am not going to try to influence a single soul here. Nope. I just want to vent a bit on how dumb and ridiculous Harry is, how narcissistic I find Meghan, how much I admire Anne, and my hopes for Catherine's full recovery. I also want to read your posts on cute furry creatures, other lands and travels, inward journeys, art, and whatever else it is in life the day brings. But I admit that I may slip, and I go off on a world event. I apologize for it now. Just scroll on by if you would.
I had a tough time since last summer. I did. But that is what life can bring. And hopefully we grow. And in the end it will be what we take with us. Many changes do come on life's paths.
Love to friends. Thanks for listening. Going to just post this mess, warts and all.

The interconnected story of Prospera, Suletta, and Miorine: An analysis of Prospera’s role within the story of G-Witch
Happy Suletta Sunday! In this installment of my now series of analysis on the romance of G-Witch I’m going over Prospera's role in G-Witch, particularly as it relates to Suletta and Miorine. As always thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy it.
Prospera is arguably the character in G-Witch who has the biggest effect on Miorine and Suletta throughout the story. She's also a Faustian bargain of a character arising from attempting to combine a Char-clone with a romance antagonist. These two narrative roles have some overlapping but mostly different requirements. Like all antagonists, they need to make life harder for at least one main character but also have narrative functions that are unique to them.
The most significant difference between the main antagonist of a romance and any other type of antagonist is that their primary function is to provoke the main characters’ central insecurities. After all, when it comes to the main characters of a romance, their darkest hour has to be self-inflicted. In this regard, the way Prospera is the main reason for Suletta's central insecurity and gets Miorine’s to flare up like crazy while never doing anything to tear them apart and even being responsible for the two of them meeting is immaculate. Suletta and Miorine's insecurities are the only thing causing a rift in their relationship; that's romance at its best.
Then there's the Char-clone aspect of Prospera’s character. She's mostly comprised of characteristics of the Char from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. A self-righteous manipulator who’s willing to do some morally dubious acts to achieve their goal. Side note: Although it could be argued that some characters in G-Witch have elements of a young Char, none neatly fits into the role of Suletta’s rival. At least not if someone is to go with the dictionary definition of rival. No one wants to outdo her for the sake of it. Neither do they want something she has as she doesn’t have the political standing for her position as the Holder to do much, and the thing she does have is the adoration of a self-reliant Miorine, something no one else wants. Suletta is the only one who’s interested in Miorine because of her headstrong personality instead of despite it.
The type of Char-clone that she is, along with being the main antagonist in a romance, means that her role in the story is to be a master manipulator who, through her manipulations, makes the main characters’ insecurities act up. It’s imperative that she’s not the direct cause of the rift in the heroines of the story’s relationship; otherwise, it wouldn't be a romance. Prospera only has the power over Suletta and Miorine that she does because they let her.
In order for the main characters’ insecurities to be passively provoked, those insecurities have to correspond to what the main antagonist is about. In the case of G-Witch, Suletta is overly reliant on her mother to the point Prospera consistently is the person Suletta goes to for emotional comfort. This only makes things worse for Suletta as Prospera keeps telling her that as long as Suletta listens to her mother, everything will be alright, which maintains Suletta’s dependency on her and instills the idea that she only deserves affection if Suletta does as she’s told. Prospera can take most of, if not all, the credit for Suletta taking the blame for Miorine breaking up with her because Suletta couldn’t be of more use to her. She’s been taught to see herself as an asset for her loved one instead of someone who can and should receive affection without needing to earn it.
Meanwhile, Miorine starts to antagonize Prospera from the moment she discovers how much influence she has over Suletta. Miorine’s fear of how much control Prospera has over Suletta becomes the reason Miorine breaks things off with Suletta. Her desire to make her own decisions extends to Miorine wanting the same for her loved ones, which puts her at odds with Prospera. They have conflicting views on how Suletta deserves to be treated. This is made all the better by Prospera acting caring while using Suletta, while Miorine cares deeply about Suletta while initially pretending to use her.
The most important elements that make up Prospera, Miorine, and Suletta’s three-way dynamic are their roles in the story, their characterization, and their motives. To simplify things regarding how they interact with each other specifically, those are as follows:
Suletta’s role: One out of two of the main characters in a romance.
Suletta’s characterization: Has a black and white morality and is a bit too willing to do what she’s told without question. Otherwise is loyal, protective, determinded, affectionate, easily excited, and loves doing acts of service. All in all has a personality not too dissimilar to a golden retriever.
Suletta’s motive: To be with the people she cares about most and keep the people she loves safe.
Miorine’s role:  One out of two of the main characters in a romance.
Miorine’s characterization: Fairly deceptive, values independence to a fault, and doesn’t have the easiest time trusting others.
Miorine’s motive: Making sure she and the people she loves, particularly Suletta, don’t do something just because they’re told to.
Prospera’s role: The main antagonist of a romance.
Prospera’s characterization: Overbearing, manipulative, and controlling, especially towards minors.
Prospera’s motive: Doing everything in her power to get her daughter Ericht back and get revenge on those who took away her friends and family.
When it comes to which of these contributes the most to how their stories become intersected, it’s Prospera’s role and motive, Suletta’s characterization and motive, and Miorine’s role and characterization. The rest either is derived from or doesn’t affect that character’s dynamic with the other two. Suletta would have the same relationship with Prospera and Miorine at the start of the show, regardless of her being a romance protagonist. Prospera’s characterization stems from her role in the story. Miorine’s motive is dependent on her characterization and also her role, as without her feelings for Suletta, she would likely have the same amount of beef with Prospera as she has with Vim Jeturk. She clearly isn’t fond of him, but Miorine doesn’t tell him to stay away from Guel because he’s not one of her loved ones.
Tumblr media
The way these three characters' story gets intertwined starts with Prospera creating a repli-child of Ericht that becomes Suletta to help enact her revenge for the incident at the Vanadis Institute. Skip forward seventeen years where Miorine and Suletta cross path. Then, through Suletta being Suletta, she unwittingly gets the two of them involved. Through her relationship with Suletta, Miorine becomes acquainted with Prospera and learns about the influence she has over her daughter. Miorine, being who she is, of course, is having none of it and villianizes Prospera to the point of only making things worse for herself, which in turn solidifies Prospera’s role in the story. Lastly, learning just how far Suletta can go in order to keep her loved ones safe is what sends Miorine spiraling as she blames Prospera for the things Suletta did.
Prospera, Suletta, and Miorine’s narratives are extremely interconnected, which, for the most part, is a good thing. Having an interpersonal conflict that’s born from conflicting personalities and goals is gonna feel more natural and less contrived than a more situational conflict. It does, though, also mean that if someone wanted to change something in the story of G-Witch that involves these three without changing any other aspect of the characters or story, it’s going to be a bit of a pain. To complicate things further, this already applies when only focusing on Suletta, Miorine, and Prospera’s fundamental dynamic, but these three are a lot more intertwined than that. Each of their roles, characterization, and motive affects at least one other of either their own or one of the others and sometimes both.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, to break this down. Starting with Miorine’s motive, if she’s not set on preventing Suletta from doing something just because her mother told her to, that would affect her characterization. If there’s any other reason she wants to keep Suletta away from Prospera, like actual mind control, that’s going to take away her fundamental insecurity. She needs to be wrong about the level of influence Prospera has over Suletta; otherwise, she isn’t being blinded by her insecurities she would just be right. This makes her a lot less flawed as it presents her deceptiveness as a purely good thing instead of something that every so often turns into mild paranoia. Furthermore, if Miorine either doesn’t have any central insecurity or it doesn’t have anything to do with the rift between her and Suletta, the story ceases to be a romance, which in turn affects all three characters’ roles within the story.
Then there’s Prospera’s characterization, which is directly caused by her lust for vengeance and messes with the minds of both Suletta and Miorine, which is what makes her an effective romance antagonist. Without losing her friends and family, then most significantly, Suletta just wouldn’t exist, and Prospera wouldn’t have treated Suletta the way she did. This, in turn, would change some aspects of Suletta, that is, if she even existed and wouldn’t get Miorine’s, wouldn’t central insecurity get out of control, affecting her motive.
Lastly, there’s Suletta’s characterization. If she was any less unassuming Miorine’s central insecurity wouldn’t be acting up as Suletta wouldn’t do what her mother told her to with question. Also, if Suletta had a more nuanced morality than she does, she wouldn’t have been so unfazed by what she did at Quetta, which leads Miorine to think Prospera has a lot more control over Suletta than Prospera does. Suletta has been taught to think that her mother is always right, so if Prospera tells her that killing someone to keep other people safe is morally correct, she won’t see a problem with turning a guy into meat sauce. Prospera hasn’t allowed Suletta to develop a complex view of morality, which is a lot more messed up than if Suletta was some kind of sleeper agent or the like. Suletta’s unnerving in the same way a young child firing a gun without realizing that people could get hurt is. She is to blame for her actions, but the way she reacts to them is childlike, which showcases the way in which innocence can be terrifying. Suletta being a cinnamon roll doesn't crash with her willingness to kill someone it's why she's fine with it.
So there you have it. Why a character does something changes depending on the situation they do those actions in. This doesn't necessarily have to be a big deal as it mostly affects implications. If the circumstances change but the characters act the same, it can create some narrative dissonance.

Original Ask: here's one for jude 😁 they're childhood friends, have known one another for so long, everyone says they are a perfect fit but jude brushes off the idea because deep down he doesn't want to admit he's in love with her, she on the other hand doesn't have time for relationships cause of her career as a ballerina. they stop talking for about three years until they meet again in madrid, she's dragged by her girlfriends to see real madrid play, that's when she sees jude, they reconnect with jude finally ready to confess his feelings, however one of his teammates tries to jump in the way. (@findingnemosworld)
Word Count: 761 words
(author's note: everyone thank @findingnemosworld for her amazing requests !! i did change the ending a little so i hope thats okay 🫶)
Tumblr media
Jude always thought that Y/N was the most beautiful girl in the world. Her smile could light up a room, and her laugh was like music to his ears. They had been friends since he could remember, spending most of their childhood years as an inseparable pair.
What Jude didn’t realise is that Y/N felt exactly the same about him. His happy-go-lucky personality made her enjoy being around him, and the side of him that was ever-so caring made her fall head over heels for the boy.
But through Jude’s move to Real Madrid and Y/N’s gruelling career as a ballerina, the pair had fallen apart. This shocked everyone around them, as anyone who looked their way would assume they were a couple. There was no one else in the world who would've been more of a perfect fit together than Jude and Y/N.
Jude Bellingham wasn’t scared of most things. He’d played professional football for years. Suffered online abuse and gone through many hardships throughout his life. But the idea of telling Y/N how he felt about her had him shaking with fear. He valued her friendship more than anything else, so when he had to let his best friend know he was moving away, it broke his heart.
Y/N was devastated. Jude’s departure had made her lose her drive and motivation and her ballet career was suffering because of it. Her coach was pushing her to her limits to distract her from the gaping hole that Jude had left behind in her life with his departure.
Time passed, and the pair hadn’t spoken in months. But that didn’t mean that they didn’t think of one another every passing minute, of every passing day.
Y/N had a break in ballet performances, and it just so happened that her dance group’s next show was in Madrid. Her friends had been given tickets to a football game, and she blindly agreed to go. Her friend, who had been given the tickets, was married to a player from one of the teams playing, and Y/N desperately needed a chance to relax.
Jude was sat in the changing rooms. He was listening to Vinicius Jr. give them a pep talk before their game against Sevilla. He had a strange feeling his his stomach but he couldn’t place it.
"Jude, are you okay?" Luka asked him, noticing the look on his Jude's face.
“Yeah man, I’m fine”, Jude responded, brushing off his friend’s concerns.
And so the game began. Y/N and her friends sat, immersed in the game. She always used to watch Jude play, and the interest in football had stuck, even after he moved away. However, when the line-ups were announced and the players walked out, Y/N felt sick. She hadn’t seen Jude in three years since his move to Madrid, and the painful memories rocketed to the forefront of her mind.
Jude ran onto the pitch. As he stood through the pre-game formalities, his eyes wandered over the masses of spectators that had turned up to watch their teams play. However, his eyes widened when they connected with those belonging to a familiar face.
Y/N’s mouth dropped open. The look she shared with Jude was one full of shock and pain. Jude mouthed ‘meet me after the game’ and she understood immediately.
It was an interesting game that resulted in a draw. Each side fought hard, but neither of them could grasp the winning goal. Jude had never been so eager to leave the pitch as he rushed over to where Y/N was waiting for him.
As he stood in front of the girl he had loved his whole life, he faltered. Jude knew he couldn’t hold his feelings back any longer.
“Y/N, I love you. I have for so many years and I-”
“Jude, I love you too.”
Jude stopped talking. He had been waiting to hear those three words come out of her mouth since he had learned what they meant. He couldn’t stop himself anymore. He stepped forward, cupped her face with his hand, and kissed her.
Jude poured every ounce of love he had for Y/N into that kiss. The fondness he felt for her was unbeaten, the years he spent hiding it, filled with regret.
Once they broke away, the looked at eachother. The look was not filled with pain this time, it had been replaced with love and tenderness.
The pair left the stadium, reunited and ready to spend their days together.

Finished.
God, what a glorious, glorious, glorious ride, a truly solid epic drama in a way I haven't seen in a very long time - there were two other flawless cdramas for me this year - Lost You Forever 1 and The Ingenuous One - but TIO was a smaller scale story and LYF ended in medias res. AJTL was the only complete, epic cdrama this year for me, but oh boy, was it beyond.
First, my two tiny niggles - this is a drama where the 40 episode limit fit badly, like tightly pinching shoes. You can tell how they had to speed and cram to get in the resolutions of dynastic struggles in An and Wu and the war with Beipan. This drama really needed to have been 50 eps. (The cramming also resulted in the sole plot arc that made me go huh - LTG random decision to try to marry Ruyi before he rides off to what he thinks is his last battle and his just as random decision to go "oh well" and agree to release NYZ and then when NYZ shows up before he can be released because he broke out and wreaks havoc, let them walk out. Maybe if they had more time, it would have made more sense, otherwise it felt like an aberration in a character arc that before and after was consistent and made sense.) Second niggle is not really one because it's clearly due to censorship - the last minute redemption of the Wu emperor etc - the writer made is as believable as she could but you could feel the censorship sticky hands all over it.
But those are minor complaints. Overall this was solid from beginning to end, very adult and with secondary characters who all felt real and complex and interesting. A few thoughts:
Our main OTP was incredible. So adult, so competent, so badass but still feeling human. I bought that those two were larger than life legends AND flesh and blood people. And that chemistry!
I loved that this drama allowed relationships to be messy. Yes, we have our epic main couple but I especially loved what happened with Chu Yue and Shisan and LTG and Ying. I loved that neither was an epic romance. With CY and Shisan, I loved that they didn't make him realize he loves her forever blah blah - he was an incredibly consistent character - charming, loyal and utterly clear he's incapable of permanent commitment to a single woman and she never could change that. And yet he died in large part to protect her, and it's in keeping with his character and it makes sense that this solidified her remembering him forever - he's not just the one who got away, but he DIED for her. It's very clear if they both lived, this would have gone nowhere and ended with him wandering off or her moving on wanting commitment from someone who is capable of it, but as it is, it froze the possibility of love in ember.
And I loved the narrative of LTG and Ying. They both come into marriage in love with someone they can never have (Ruyi and YL), they both have similar backgrounds (royals but neglected and looked down upon), they both share the same goals (power but to take care of people) and they really are friends. I love that when we last see them, they have what is a great period marriage - no love but respect and common goals. And she still mourns YL and he probably still thinks of Ruyi but the thing is, I love that the narrative leaves the possibility of them eventually falling in love with each other (or other people) because as she tells him - you think you will always love a particular person but life is long. (And it's so true - she will remember YL until she's old, once again in part because of the unfulfilled possibility of it - but it doesn't mean she won't be able to open her heart to someone again.) It's a surprisingly hopeful ending for them and I love it. I'd totally watch a show where they discover love with each other tbh.
I did love that no character (except possibly Prince Danyang) got everything they wanted even if they emerged alive. They got some and had to give up some.
I loved what it had to say about having to be worthy of your power and position - you are not owed fealty by birth but you have to earn it. It was a surprisingly anti-imperial show for a recent cdrama.
All the deaths of our faves gutted me, none as much as Yuan Lu's. Oooof.
As to the ending, I can tell people are gonna have fits but I like it. I love many an ending legendarily reviled in cdrama fandom (Princess Agents and Novoland Eagle Flag have perfect endings in my opinion; I realize that opinion, especially about PA is enough to get me throttled in certain quarters but it is what it is) and I came to cdramas back when pretty much every costume cdrama ended horrifically tragically - think of the endings of the Chinese Paladins, The Myth (for a long time my n1 drama even though it made me cry so hard I threw up, ending-wise), The Young Warriors, Little Fairy, even Lan Ling Wang, Glory of the Tang Dynasty and Bu Bu Jing Xin if we are going somewhat later. I mean, one of my favorite dramas ever is Royal Nirvana and that ending is like drinking a thermos full of depression. This is nothing.
Honestly, I would have been fine if the ending for our OTP really was them dying pretty much together, in their different battles. That hint that they are alive and living with their kids is lovely and welcome, but I'd have been fine without it and it raises a lot of questions (though if anyone could fake their deaths and survive that sort of thing, it would have been them so fair enough.)
Anyway, this is basically my love letter to this drama. It was amazing and I am so glad I watched it.

The Sibling Squad (Roxy’s Crew)
This particular thingy was something I came up with at some point at the very end of s1/very beginning of s2 (which is why the ages were retconned every so slightly at this point and Shirley didn’t start at Cloud Tower till season 3).
This is something I was very excited about and, even if very few of you care, I thought I might let you take a peek into my brain and see why I chose the siblings I chose for Roxy’s squad and what each one of them kinda represents/is a foil for.
I’ll go in the order that they were introduced in the series.
Starting off with!!!! Shirley.
I chose Shirley after building up her personality and I feel like she fits flawlessly in as the oldest of the squad. One reason I really wanted her there is for being a witch, to have a good witch tm (and also a fairy-witch romance but that’s neither here nor there) to show off the differences in the way they work.
Of course, there’s also the fact that Shirley has been really dependent on Riven for most her life and, aside from her brother, she’s been pretty much on her own and she’s also the youngest of her coven, so I thought that the dynamic of her suddenly being the oldest of a group she loves and feels responsible for could be very interesting.
Shirley is very protective, she wants to be the protector and not the protected when it comes to this squad, and I thought that could be a cool thing to explore, even if it’s more implied/observed than anything else.
I chose Shirley to be, perhaps not the leader, but the oldest and most protective of the group. You could say she’s almost the Stella of the group… but obviously not really.
Next up, Alexa. Alexa is Brandon’s little sister and I think I’d mentioned previously that she’s ever so slightly inspired by Alisson Argent from Teen Wolf, cause I loved her growing up and it just kinda fit with the character I pictured for Brandon’s sister.
I haven’t gotten to explore Alexa very much, I think she’s probably the least ‘known’ and with less ‘screentime’ in the sibling squad. I did however have her establish kinda what her main goal is in her first appearance in s4, that being to carve out her own place in Red Fountain and not just be recognized for her brother.
She wants to be her own person and, whilst she is incredibly proud of her brother, she doesn’t want to live in his shadow, thus why, she picks the bow as her main weapon, since her brother never excelled in that area, he was only ever ‘okay’ with the bow.
Alexa is probably one of the more outgoing in the group, she is very extroverted and she’s unapolagetic about who she is and what she wants. She grew up with Stella and Sky and learned a lot from both of them on how to just keep going and, just by watching them and her brother, she knows how to deal with different people.
Alexa is a leader, ambitious yet kind, and she will be (at least in battle) the leader of the sibling squad.
Then there’s Naten, who I think is one of the most beloved OC in the series.
Naten is the glue and heart of the group I feel, a farm boy with a heart of gold and more love than he knows what to do with.
He’s a jokester who hides a lot of his complexity behind his soft exterior. It’s not something he really does on purpose, he just doesn’t care how people may think of him or if they underestimate him for liking to joke around.
Like I’ve mentioned before he’s a bit of a jack of all trades and if there are 2 things that define him in Red Fountain it’s his versatility and his dedication. In his character moodboard, I mention that he has dyspraxia, and, despite having occupational therapy with his mom, who also has dyspraxia, he still struggles with it, so he tends to practice a lot to completely master every technique he can in Red Fountain.
Naten has layers, but his main traits are his dedication/stuborness and his love.
^All of them were introduced and had their personalities kinda written in profiles before I even had the idea for the sibling squad, so their ‘roles’ in the group felt very organic to me and were mostly happy coincidences.
The final two are the ones that were written already knowing that they would be a part of this group.
I loved coming up with my version of Chimera. Making her a vulnerable, insecure girl and having her almost be a foil to Stella was just… ugh, light bulb moment for me, truly.
If you payed attention last chapter you may have noticed that Chimera seems to be getting more powerful. A lot of it is thanks to Stella giving her the staff but it’s also thanks to Chimera constantly practicing to be better.
Chimera has a dual role in the group. First, she’s the tank, the one with the power crawl that’ll eventually be a force to be reckoned with. She may seem a bit overpowered this last chapter but it was a very calm situation in which she had full control and already knew the environment and had created similar illusions there before, it wouldn’t exactly be the same in a fight.
Second, she’s the quiet one. She’s naturally introverted and a quite shy/socially awkward. Traits that were made worse after Valtor’s curse.
She’s 1 of the 2 introverts to balance out all the extroverts. She’s the studious one, the soft spoken one, that doesn’t always know how to stand her ground.
She’s also the one who was the loneliest and most isolated before joining the group, she feels a bit insecure about her spot in the group and is just happy to be included.
She’s learning to be a part of the group and is terrified of losing them.
Finally, the one I know you’ve all been waiting for, even though she isn’t technically a sibling, Roxy.
Roxy is the last to join the squad, and she’s the one who will truly bring them together. Cause, at the moment Alexa and Naten are the closest, and the others are more friendly than besties.
Roxy will be the missing piece to fully pull the group together.
Roxy will be the catalyst for the squad to truly become their own thing, to go from being the Sibling Squad, to Roxy’s Crew.
I won’t explain Roxy as much as the others since she’s already gotten a lot more screentime in 10 chapters than the others have had in 3 seasons.
Finally, some of you may or may not wonder why the whole Naten/Chimera mutual crush.
That’s mostly cause it’s cute and I came up with it on the spot when planning out their summer chronicle.
Then I truly stopped to think about it and realized once more, I am a fucking genius.
Chimera is insecure and doesn’t think much of herself, she’s working on herself and being true to herself, it’s logical she’d fall for a soft boy, a boy who wears his heart on his sleeve and is unapologetic about who he is.
Naten has more heart than anything else, yes, he at first glance, falls for Chimera’s looks (which by the way I thought it’d be adorable to have him fall for her first for her looks when Chimera has never felt pretty) and then he falls for yet another soft soul that is trying to be true. Who is just as dedicated as he is.
They’re both triers. Both kids who have to practice time and time again because they don’t have natural talent, but they have an insane amount of determination. That’s something they can understand about each other.
So, going in age order; Shirley is the oldest and the protector.
Naten is the glue.
Chimera is the tank and the quiet one.
Alexa is the leader.
And Roxy is the missing piece.
And I… am very excited to explore them further and… their very first, full appearance, all 5 of them together will be in just two chapters, in chapter 17!!!

Does spy x family/ twiyor give you fma/ royai vibes? I don't know if my brain is just addled by royai fic love, but they feel similar somehow.
Maybe it's the tragedy of war in both stories, the forbidden love (that's bound to happen between twiyor and if it doesnt I'll be mad) between two people with blood on their hands.
I've seen hilarious (sad) comparisons between Nina and Anya of cute girl and big white dog, but that's not really what gives me the vibes.
I'm now diving into the manga but I saw some spoilers for Twilight's rough past that made me go 'oh shit... things can get dark'.
I just want someone who's better at analyzing things and studying characters (love ALL your fics btw) to tell me if I'm out of my mind or point out what I'm missing.
*takes a huge breath*
OKAY SO LIKE I was totally against watching Spy x Family at first because it was "mainstream" (it was a very stressful semester of college in my defense) until I saw this fanart by @mochidoodle, twiyor paralleling that royai moment in fma. From that point on, I was a goner. So while I do mostly write twiyor fics at the moment, my love for them is largely colored by my love for royai.
First up, Loid and Roy. On the surface, very different people. One overthinks everything and plans to the tiniest detail, while the other lives off of 99% pure impulse. Loid is a very serious and private person by nature, and while Roy definitely has his solemn moments, it's kind of his whole game to act like the immature colonel playboy of the military before he brings down the entire government with his real motive ("surprise, bitches!"). The main difference I'd say is that Roy knows what he wants, and has a very clear goal how to get there. Loid doesn't. He's still torn between his mission and his family, and doesn't even know who he really is. Like we don't even know his real name lol.
Yor and Riza are also very different. Riza is the voice of reason with Roy (and he definitely needs it). Her personality is actually more aligned with Loid's in that way--quiet, serious, and reserved. Both are them are very good shots. However, she and Yor both don't very highly of themselves at all. Both of them are very compassionate and kind in their own way, and both of them have a soft spot for children. However, Riza's overwhelming guilt comes from her choices in the Ishvalan War, whereas I think Yor almost...intentionally blocks out the brutality of what she has to do to keep her brother alive.
Which brings me to the topic of war in both series (spoiler alert).
Both FMA and Spy x Family are very antiwar. Neither of them glorifies warfare. Casualties and consequences are not treated lightly. Progranda plays a huge role. Both series are trying to prevent another war from happening. For the sake of the argument, I'm going to refer to Yor as a soldier as well as Loid because she is still putting her life on the line for her country (she even says her job is comparable to that of a soldier in the manga). The biggest difference is that Roy and Riza chose to do the things they did in Ishval. Loid and Yor did as well, however it was more their circumstances that pushed them into that decision. Loid lost his mother as a child and crawled around in the streets for years before finally joining the military, only to lose everyone he ever cared about. Yor did it because it was only way to save her brother from literally starving to death. The war between Ostania and Westalis forced literal children to become soldiers (and that's kind of Endo's shtick--what war does to children). Roy and Riza...I mean, there's a reason why their fate is so tragic. They literally committed genocide. Yes, their reasonings are far more complex than this little lecture has room for, but it sufficeth to say that their burden is immensely heavy (I'm not even going to get into how Riza's burnt tattoo fits into the tragedy of their relationship and their choices because it's going to make me cry). But that is FMA's whole thing: Choice. What makes us root for Roy and Riza despite everything? Because despite impossible odds, they are working for a future where something like the Ishvalan War will never happen again, even if they end up being sentenced to death along the way.
Now going back to Spy x Family, the plot doesn't center around a global scale like FMA does. Yes, the tension between the East and West is a huge part of it, but most of the story is centered around one little family. It's important to remember that FMA isn't royai's story--it's Ed and Al's. Roy and Riza's character arcs are mostly complete even by the beginning of the manga. Loid and Yor's and Anya's are not.
But you really did hit the mark when you said royai colors our love for twiyor because both couples are two people who care very deeply for one another but can never be together. Roy and Riza can never get married due to military regulations. And the fake marriage between Loid and Yor will end once Operation Strix is finished (or so Loid thinks). But it's not really the mission or the military that's keeping them apart. One of my favorite royai authors @lantur wrote such an amazing royai fic outlining the fact that Riza being Roy's subordinate isn't actually the thing keeping them apart. Those two have such a painful, shared history. (I mean, he literally burnt the tattoo off her back after using the knowledge of it to commit genocide, for which Riza feels partly responsible). And yet they are fiercely loyal to each other. They don't need to kiss or fuck to know how much these two love each other. (On screen I mean...you cannot tell me they didn't at least have one night together).
With Loid and Yor, it's not nearly as heavy. But Loid (or rather, Twilight) does carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. He feels it's his sole responsibility to bring about a world full of peace, and he will not deviate from that mission. But of course he's getting more attached (who wouldn't) and he's eventually going to have to choose between his forged little family and the rest of the world. To most, maybe that's a simple decision. But you have to remember that Twilight is one who is going to have to change the most out of the Forgers. His decision to love them changes everything. It actually brings up an interesting point if royai did have a child. Would they still choose to put themselves on trial if it meant the possibility of leaving their child an orphan?
Spy x Family is about, well, families. The strength that comes from when broken people decide to heal each other and create a future for their child that's bright and safe and warm. And that directly parallels with FMA because it doesn't always have to be blood-related families, but the bonds you choose to forge (pun intended). And though I hope for royai to have a nice, quiet life in the country somewhere, laughing and growing old together, it's left ambiguous for a reason. Twiyor on the other hand, well let's just say that my heart keeps telling me that their happy ending is coming, but they're going to have to go through a lot of pain and angst and denial of feelings to get there. It's a comedy, so I expect Endo will get them together eventually, it's the when that's the mystery.
So I guess to wrap up this very lengthy answer, while royai and twiyor are different on the surface, they are similar at their core. Fighting for a better world, creating their own families along the way, and sharing little moments of devotion through their daily lives. Because though the series is nowhere near being done, you know Loid would look at Yor like she's the moon and the stars once he finally realizes he loves her.
Thanks for letting me rant about something I feel very passionate about, and I'll probably add to it if I think of more reasons lol. I'm glad you enjoy my fics, that's very sweet of you to say! Have a wonderful weekend! <3

One Piece x Daemon AU
Straw Hat Pirates' Daemons
Tumblr media
Luffy - Peregrine Falcon (separated by DF): Settling abnormally young—at only 7 years old when Shanks gave him his hat—Luffy’s daemon is associated with freedom, intuition, and bravery. The fastest bird in the world, these falcons are also associated with a number of gods, including the sun god Ra and the sky god Horus, and are sometimes considered king of the birds. Luffy’s daemon shape was heavily influenced by his Devil Fruit and the strength of his personal goals/dreams, since his own personality is already very open, honest, and straightforward (thus, he already bares his soul to the world, even without a daemon). The small size of his daemon also often leads others to underestimate him.
Zoro - Wolf-Dog: Is anyone surprised? Zoro’s daemon reveals his nature as a mix of wild animal and loyal pet. While dog daemons are associated with servitude, wolf daemons are neither docile nor friendly (to most strangers, at least). I found this mix of loyalty, wildness, ferocity, and an orientation towards pack/protection to be a good fit for Zoro. (Especially cause everyone calls him Luffy’s loyal attack dog anyway😛). (During the time skip, Zoro separated with his daemon under Mihawk’s instruction.)
Nami - Red Fox: Foxes have it all—associated with tricksters and hoarders, cuteness and sexiness, aggression and playfulness, Nami’s daemon works well with here, both when they’re trying to survive under Arlong and as Luffy’s navigator. While sometimes associated with thieves, foxes are also known as spirits who help those in need (and punish those who are arrogant). The fox is also sometimes depicted as a guide between worlds, perfect for a navigator.
Usopp - Great Horned Owl: Usopp is the only crew member whose daemon isn’t settled before joining. His daemon settles after Ennie’s Lobby, but prior to that, she often took the form of a cape hare. Associated with wisdom, intuition, self-actualization, and victory in battle, I chose an owl for Usopp in part b/c I wanted to relate and contrast him with Luffy (both birds of prey). I also chose an owl b/c of they’re “silent killers”—appropriate for a sniper! (During the time skip, Usopp would train to separate with his daemon, but ultimately only stretched their bond, unable to fully separate.)
Sanji - Slender Mongoose: This daemon is associated with boldness, rebellion, and resourcefulness, and they’re known for taking on predators that are much bigger and badder than them (look up the mongoose vs lion confrontation!). Mongoose are also considered a protector of gods, and can be very cooperative and family-oriented. I chose a mongoose in-part because of their unassuming, rodent-like appearance (and also for the mental image of Sanji cooking with his cute mongoose daemon hanging around his neck).
Chopper - Anna's Hummingbird (separated by DF): One of the only hummingbird species that sticks around during winter, this daemon is associated with luck, healing, life, and tenacity. Chopper’s daemon appeared after he ate his Devil Fruit (and gained a human soul), and settled after Hiriluk’s death. In part, I chose this hummingbird for its pink head and b/c it’d be really cute perched on Chopper’s antler.
Robin - Spotted Hyena (separated by DF): While they’re associated with evil, impurity, and stupidity, the hyena is actually an intelligent, nurturing, and courageous animal. Settling young, only a short year after her escape from Ohara, Robin’s daemon is a reflection of both who she is and who people believe her to be. Her daemon’s form was also taken for protection—for much of her life, Robin needed a daemon who could fight back when their backs were to a wall. Luckily, once she joins the Straw Hats, she and her daemon finally find the family group they’ve been looking for, where their kindness can flourish.
Franky - Painted Dog: Franky is by no means the type to have a domesticated dog daemon, but as someone who is family-oriented, friendly, and playful (and tough as hell), a wild painted dog is a good fit. After being hit by the sea train, Franky’s daemon ended up heavily scarred, giving her a fierce look.
Brook - White Satin Moth (separated by DF): With delicate, all-white wings, these moths are often seen as symbols of loved ones visiting from the afterlife. Prior to their death, though, Brook’s daemon was a mourning dove, chosen both for the symbolism of death/mourning and because they have my favorite bird call. Imagine the duets when they were alive…
Tumblr media
Bonus (under Read more): Ace, Sabo, Shanks, & Law! Plus, some world-building thoughts:
Tumblr media
Ace - Lion (separated by DF): While a large, threatening predator, lions are also one of the few big cats that typically live in family groups. Ace’s daemon took this form both as a form of defense, as well as misdirection—they deeply crave family, connection, and acceptance, but can be held back by their own anger and distrust. Lions are associated with royalty, but are not associated with pirates the way bird daemons are.
Sabo - Caracal: Associated with being protectors of gods, I mostly chose a caracal for their unique jumping (reminded me of Sabo’s fighting style) and the cute ears. Both he and Ace have individualistic/loner personalities that lend them towards cat daemons, but unlike Ace, Sabo is less concerned with a family connection. Caracals are associated with both hunting and protection. (Also, I can definitely see Sabo’s daemon playing with Luffy’s by jumping to catch them^^)
Shanks - Raven (separated): One of the smartest birds around, ravens are often known as harbingers of death and doom. They are also known to communicate with other ravens about who friends and foes are, and will be friendly or hostile accordingly. Shanks and his daemon separated the traditional way, by purposeful stretching of the bond until it broke.
Law - Black-footed Cat (separated by DF): I know, I know, everyone gives him a snow leopard, which I respect, but!! This cat is the deadliest wild cat in the world with the highest kill count. Deceptively small and cute, they are known for their tenacity, bravery, and ferocity. For Law, I wanted to highlight his upbringing as the child of 2 doctors & his connection to Cora—he had a normal childhood, before everything fell apart, but his experiences surviving in Flevance and with Cora led him to a smaller, quieter daemon that wouldn’t draw attention. Also, while fierce and dangerous, Law can still be quite cute, imo🥰. And with such a small/non-threatening looking daemon, Law would tend towards hiding them, making himself appear more threatening (as people are naturally off-put by a lack of daemon).
World-building:
When a person eats a Devil Fruit, the power also applies to their daemon. (Ex: When Bon Clay mimics someone's face, his daemon can also mimic their daemon.)
When a person eats a Devil Fruit, they and their daemon are separated. Unlike the traditional and artificial methods of stretching and separating from one’s daemon, Devil Fruit separation is largely painless.
Daemons can use haki, but it is very difficult, requiring training.
It's highly stigmatized in most of the world for daemons of strangers to touch, including in fights. Pirates' daemons, however, are often seen fighting each other. However, even among pirates, it's taboo to touch another's daemon without permission.
Bird daemons are stigmatized due to their association with piracy during the pirate era (Gol Roger's daemon was a golden eagle). (Each of the Straw Hats who have/had bird daemons do so because their dreams involve being a pirate specifically.)
All races in OP have externalized souls (ex: Minks have visible auras that can interact with each other. Fishmen/merpeople have sentient water—think Moana—that follows them or is kept in special jewelry.)

Thinking about the complete and total role reversal that must have inevitably happened after Leon and Ashley got home from Spain and how how quickly the fairy tale came unraveled as soon as they touched back down into reality.
Fairytale Leon: The strong, honorable, fearless knight who walks through fire and water and mud and shit with his head held high and moves forward, undaunted, towards his goal. Feels more like a force of nature than a man, as he leaves a trail of violence and chaos in his wake, with the blood of his enemies sprayed across his face and in his hair. He's in charge and inescapable; woe betide the man who crosses his path.
Reality Leon: Soft-spoken and almost demure, with his eyes almost constantly turned downcast as he walks to wherever he's told to go -- an unquestioning "Yes, sir" following every order. His body armor has been traded in for a well-pressed suit that seems almost too clean -- and despite having been tailored specifically for his measurements, doesn't look like it fits him right. Always seems at a distance, as though he's perpetually standing just out of reach.
Fairytale Ashley: The warm-hearted and free-spirited princess fair who keeps the light of hope burning and charms the honorable knight with her easy smile and welcoming personality. Her presence is like a home away from home, as she's fair-minded and treats everyone with respect. She's exactly as strong as she needs to be, as she's inspired by the strength of those around her -- which then inspires those people further in return.
Reality Ashley: Cold and closed off for the sake of keeping up appearances. Too afraid to show any emotion that's too strong or hold an opinion that's too controversial due to the looming consequence of potential backlash. Everything in her life is dictated by her station, forcing her into a selfish and self-centered lifestyle that sees her only interacting with her Equals.
Thinking about Leon and Ashley passing each other in the halls of the White House or at some official government event and only allowing themselves a quick second or two to look at the other as though they're just window-shopping for something that they know is forever out of their reach.
Thinking about the cognitive dissonance of "I know you and feel safe with you and want to be with you" lingering from the memory of their shared fairy tale being paired with the reality of "I don't really know you at all, do I?" and the forbidden longing that never gets addressed or resolved, causing each of them to have a certain level of identity crisis.
Thinking about how surprisingly and upsettingly different it feels when they finally take a second to acknowledge and talk to each other. Neither of them really knows what to say or how to address the other. The thought of casually putting a hand on Ashley's shoulder feels invasive and almost wrong to Leon, despite having held her in his arms so, so many times. Ashley wants nothing more than to reach out and touch him -- to adjust the lapel of his suit jacket or straighten his tie, but for some reason it feels like there's an invisible wall between them -- that, even if she were to reach out, her touch would never really reach him. Because they're strangers to each other now in a strange setting, and all of the rules have been rewritten, and nothing feels like it should.

Sergio Ramos
A force to be reckoned with, both for Real Madrid and his national team, he's aggressive, and has garnered a reputation for being a hot head on the pitch -- yet those closest to him knew that it was mainly due to the fact that football is what he loves, and what he hopes to do until his last breath, so naturally people expected him with some one that can match his personality, and to everyone's surprise despite his attempts to maintain that his private life stays as far away from the media as possible, unfortunately they discovered that Sergio had been in a four year relationship with rising singer Y/N L/N.
Y/N was a former actress turned singer, she'd grown up under the public eye and was beloved by Spain for her approachable, kind and soft spoken persona, dubbed Princesa by the general public -- it was quite the shock for them to see her happily tied down to someone that's naturally known to be aggressive and a bit of a wild card.
Yet Y/N knew that it was all a façade, that the Sergio people saw on the football pitch differed from the Sergio she was blessed to see off the pitch.
Sergio's kind, compassionate and an empath; whenever Y/N was sad, she could always count on him to be there and comfort her, when her muse for writing songs seems down, she'd take one single glance at him and spends hours writing poems upon poems to express just how much she adores him, her family loved him the same way his loved hers; and while there were talks about getting married, neither she nor Sergio touched on the subject, saving it for a fitting time.
_____________________
" Amor, are you sure you won't be able to make it? "
Y/N had been traveling across the world to promote her newest album, cartas a mi amado and while she was doing so -- Sergio was occupied by the international break, hoping to lead Spain into winning the Euro competition in the final against Croatia.
" Lo siento, I really want to but I'm not finished with my tour yet " Y/N chews on her bottom lip, she hated lying to Sergio but if she wanted this surprise to work out, she had to resort to lying.
" Ok but you'll be watching right "
If anyone were to hear him in that moment, they'd definitely be astonished as to how this is the same man that viciously takes down attackers. Y/N giggles, " of course I'll be watching, mi rayo de sol. I have to see if you'll score a goal for me "
Sergio chuckles, " Obviously I will, I have to impress my girl "
" And bring that trophy home " Y/N adds with an eye roll, " Listen, Sese ... I have to go and train, but I promise as soon as I finish this leg of the tour, I'm coming straight home to you "
" You better, I want to kiss you senseless and I also want to spend the two weeks vacation fucking you every way imaginable "
The soft undertone laced with his low voice sent a shiver down her spine, " Ok, I'm leaving now " she laughs, " Buena suerte bebé "
" Gracias amor, I'll see you soon "
" See you soon " Y/N said, before ending the call to finish booking the flight details to Portugal where the final will be held, she knew it was both exciting and heavy on Sergio as he will be going up against his teammate and close friend Luka Modric, but she knew that no matter what, Sergio would do his best to make his country proud.
You see, Y/N was asked by the RFEF to come and perform the national anthem, and while at first they were set to announce her as a performer, she intervened; insisting on making it a surprise to every one in attendance, and so far Sergio had no idea, believing that she was still on tour which made it easy for her to go about with her plan.
Her flight lands in Lisbon, and she immediately dived into closed rehearsals until she was sure that everything was set for the final; a day before the final she called Sergio to wish him a good luck.
" It really sucks that you're not here "
Y/N had to hold back her tears after hearing how soft his tone was, it definitely tugged on her heartstrings. " I know mi vida, but I'm going to be watching you, and annoying everyone by shouting that's my baby each time you come into screen "
Sergio laughs then said, " listen, when I get back ... I'm taking you on a lovely getaway "
" Oooh where to? " Y/N asks him, both curious and excited by the prospect of a nice vacation.
" It'll be a surprise " Sergio said, " You, me and the sun "
Y/N smiles to herself, looking over at the dress that she'll be wearing tomorrow. " I love the sound of that baby "
" Listen, Carva, Nacho and I will be heading out for a bit so I might not answer but I will text you later if you're awake ok! "
" Alright mi amor, take care and don't get drunk " Y/N warns him.
" Relax amor, I'm responsible enough " Sergio laughs. " te quiero hasta la luna y más allá "
" Yo también te quiero, hasta la luna y de regreso " Y/N said. " Bye baby "
" Bye " Sergio blew a kiss, causing her to giggle. " Ah, my favorite sound "
" Go " Y/N laughs then ends the call, she inhales a deep breath and mentally prepares herself for tomorrow, hopeful that she'll be able to witness Sergio make yet another incredible mark in his career.
The stadium was full of passionate fans that travelled to see their nation come out on top, Y/N had arrived early spending the majority of the time rehearsing in a closed and hidden away from the teams to ensure that it'll be a surprise; When the teams finished warming up and were set to step out -- she is on standby, she was set to step out just after the Croatian national team were singing their anthem and once they were finished, she grabs the microphone and steps out just as she hears.
" Please rise for the national anthem of Spain, performed by the special guest; Miss Y/N L/N "
A chorus of cheers can be heard as she stepped out, waving to the fans in the stadium, and had to physically stifle back a giggle at her boyfriend's surprised expression, she stands at the assigned position and begins to sing the anthem, with everyone in attendance as well as the players standing behind her singing along till the very end --- she bows her head then says with a loud tone, " VAMOS ESPĀNA "
Y/N was then lead to the box where most of the WAG's were seated, she sits next to Dani's wife Daphne to watch the final.
To say that it was intense would be an understatement, Sergio was at the peak of his performance defending his side from any potential goals -- and right at the end of the first half, at the 44th minute, a stunning header was made by Sergio to help Spain lead the scoresheet, she watches with tearful eyes as Sergio runs towards the direction of the box she was sitting in and point at her.
Daphne nudges her with a teasing smile as the camera captured her shy expression. During halftime, Daphne said. " I saw his expression when you came out, it was so cute "
" I figured I had to surprise him " Y/N smiles before shaking her head, " The tabloids will have a field day for sure "
" Oh don't mind them " Daphne waves her off, " Just enjoy yourself with him, you two surely deserve it "
The second half was definitely stressful for Spain, the Croatian side was attempting to break their defense a few times however thankfully Sergio helped keep the back line intact, so much so that at the 79th minute, he assisted Alvaro Morata in scoring the second goal. Y/N squeals, clapping her hands and shouting, " That's my baby right there "
The match continues with a few changes within the lineup, and just as it entered extra time - Sergio was able to score a second goal, once again sending the fans into a chorus of cheers as he points at Y/N yet again causing a smile to adorn her lips, the smile widening as the whistle blows signaling that Spain were crowned the 2024 Euro Cup winners.
The celebrations on the pitch were in full swings, and when the WAG's were allowed to enter the pitch; Y/N immediately runs to Sergio's open arms as he hoists her up and spins her around causing her to giggle, " You did it! " she pressed a sloppy kiss to his mouth.
" I'm so happy right now " Sergio states, " I didn't think you would actually come " he places her down.
" Did you think I was going to miss one of the most important finals you've had? " Y/N smiles, " you never fail to make me proud of you baby, and I'm so glad that I got to see you shine "
" I couldn't have done that without your support " Sergio grabs her face to plant a soft kiss to her lips.
A chorus of teasing voice caused the pair to look to the left and see Dani, Luka, Lucas and Nacho wearing teasing smiles. " Now we know why our Serge has been growing soft " Nacho grins.
" Can you blame him? " Lucas chimes in with a teasing tone. " He has quite possibly the softest and sweetest person by his side, I think there's a big chance, we're losing the monster "
" Guys cut it out " Luka interjects, " He's still the same person "
" Gracias Luka " Sergio sighs, shooting his teammates death glares while Y/N stood there with a shy expression.
" We just have to get used to him, speaking softly every time he calls her " Luka laughs, causing the other three laugh as well.
" Hey! " Y/N said, " Don't you dare tease him "
Sergio smirks, wrapping a protective arm around her as he said. " That's my girl " he then looks at them, " and for the record, I have changed but for the better, this one right here is my motivator "
Y/N beams, " always and forever amor, I am yours "
And while the world may always question how Sergio Ramos was able to capture the heart of Y/N L/N, there's one thing that she is sure of, nothing will tear them apart.

Hii! I read the chapter and I really wanted an Asa Denji kiss not Yoru 🥲. Also I think Asa is a bit interested in Denji because she gets embarrassed?
Anyway do you know why did Yoru kissed Denji?
I don't know if it's customary to thank ano who ask questions but thank you very much for your question! <33
I'm also disappointed to see a Yoru/Denji kiss and not with Asa, but that's still to be accepted. Fujimoto knows exactly what he's doing and created with Asa and Denji so he's not ready to give us what we want right away (let him cook lol)
Describing Asa as a bit interested in Denji is the right way to describe their relationship for me! She certainly is! But I wouldn't say in a particularly healthy way. Asa's personality is not that of a fEmCeL but that of a teenager going through a lot of loneliness. I never see many people point this out but Asa's life is tragic: even when she wants to do something good, her bad luck takes over.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She builds a rather cold, even haughty shell to hide a chronic lack of self-confidence, every action Asa takes is done by analysing the looks of others (the absolute opposite of Denji). Because she's a teenager who wants to fit in, but can't, creating social difficulties for her, including a school phobia. (I mean she is so demanding and wants to do well that she has memorized entire documentaries on starfish!!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As if she didn't want others to see behind her shell and suffer again. Asa suffers from loneliness, but at the same time… she is terrified of getting out. But human contact and the recognition of others are two things that teenagers in search of an identity pursue. So Asa tragically hopes to be interesting, but refuses to take a step towards the other. What she did with Denji on their date at the aquarium, because he is the very symbol of living life without worrying about looks. As being herself is an achievement for Asa, she thought he was going through the same thing, and that he would be interested in her as she is in him. And he is! That's for sure! But neither of them are in love yet: Denji wants a girlfriend while Asa doesn't want to be alone anymore. That… that's for part 2 to develop!
Tumblr media
Like any person suffering from loneliness, Asa clings to the slightest sign of kindness and compassion. We can see that she has quickly become attached to Denji, which also shows a potential dependency. Even if Denji is still weird, the whole of the first part has given him the opportunity to be more emotionally balanced. He also thought (90% certain) that Asa loved him, but it's not a sudden attachment it's a teenager's impatience to have a girlfriend. We can see that in this part 2, he puts up several barriers (whether it's distrusting Yoshida, or realising - even if it's afterwards - that he's being manipulated and used). Asa shows attachment issues and Denji shows trust issues.
Tumblr media
All this to say that Yoru is what pushes Asa to the front of the stage despite herself. Whether it's asking Yoshida to be her boyfriend (making her look desperate) or kissing Denji when Asa rejected him (a nest of misunderstandings). Because Yoru, like a general, a warrior or the war itself, is all about satiation, revenge and winning. Which is a super frank and even childish personality because she is literally a bad player. You can tell she was frustrated that Denji didn't turn into a weapon. Because she wants to fight Chainsaw Man right now! Without waiting!
This makes Asa's fate even more tragic and contrasts her goals with those of Yoru: Asa wants friends, wants an entourage, wants to build relationships with others, while Yoru waits (impatiently) for the slightest relationship, a trace of affection to create a weapon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yoru is getting to know Asa and also knows how scared she is of others and even if Asa's rejection in this chapter was justified (considering the bullshit Denji was insinuating), Yoru doesn't care because once again, like the war, her goal is to sow chaos, and to only take into account her pride and personal interests. We are faced with a young teenager curled up inside herself, with a demon inside her on the verge of explosion. And Denji finds himself lost between these two extremes.
Added: to explain Yoru's choice to proceed with a kiss: because she is a demon. The discussions between Asa and Denji are just background noise to her ears. She has noticed that Denji desires physical affection (while he expresses it awkwardly, and "sex" represents his urgent need to be loved as it is the most demonstrative + the fact that he doesn't really have more experience, and doesn't know how a date goes), which Asa refused to offer him (JUSTLY). For Yoru, the more demonstrative and direct it is, the sooner she will have her prey's heart and her weapon!
But it all serves one purpose for me: building the relationship between War and Nayuta, the control demon. Who, if we follow the logic of Makima and Fami should be sisters. Yoru is childish, she wants now while Nayuta is possessive. All this would serve to make their dynamic clear in chap 120 :
Yoru : I want!
Nayuta : you won't have

🌟🌹💖DATING ADVICE FOR GIRLS OR FEMENINE ENERGY💖🌹🌟
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello! The other day I had a very interesting discussion about dating life with my friends, we were sharing a lot of interesting opinions but there was one friend who is currently in a relationship who told us something that made us silent and side eyeing each other (in a concerned way, not in a bitchy way).
That's why I decided to make a post with dating and relationship advice, I noticed that these type of things is better learn them before getting in a relationship because when there's already an emotional connection people usually tend to deny that is toxic behaviour.
We were talking about the most important things to look for in a man or someone with masculine energy and we agreed that patience and respect are non-negotiables, even when tense arguing.
We were agreeing saying things like: I could never be with someone who screams, insults or is not empathic. And this friend said: gosh I wish I had your peaceful nature, X and I always scream and spit venom (insult) to each other when arguing.
That's when we were surprised in a concerned way, we tried to talk to her very calmly telling her that type of behaviour is not healthy neither for his part or hers. Screaming and insults while arguing are a type of DISRESPECT. But she was like: nah it's alright it's completely normal we always do it, we could never be like you say. Then she refused to listen anymore and changed the subject. (we still are concerned 'cause she talks about it like it's totally normal and no big deal)
Without furder ado... Here are my dating and relationship advice:
Pay attention to the red flags! 👀 Don't expect someone to change and girl... don't even think about changing them. You deserve a whole and already grown up man.
Don't 👏 chase 👏 him 👏. If he really wants you he'll do the pursuing. If he doesn't, that means he doesn't really want you and just enjoys the attention you give him for his own benefit. Let him pursue you, let him call you, let him take the iniciative... If he doesn't, HE DOESN'T LIKE YOU AND YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CHASE SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T LIKE YOU BECAUSE IT'S PATHETIC. The only thing you can do is let him know in a subtle way that you like him and then step back and see if he acts on it.
Be clear about what do you want💍: do you want marriage? do you want kids? do you want to live in the city or country side? Your special person has to share those things in common with you, otherwise you'll have conflict about those things and it will lead to break up. BELIEVE ME. If you want marriage but he doesn't, DO NOT try to convince him or wait him to change, because you only have to options: he'll marry you out of pressure which eventually will make him to resent you or you'll wait forever for something that is not going to come. Remember those are the type of things you want to discover on the first dates and if you don't want the same things in life, then stop there: "Thank you for the good time, but we're looking for different things and it's better to go on separate ways in order to find someone who fits what we're looking for. It's been wonderful meeting you and I'm pretty sure you'll find someone who shares the same goals as you."
Set boundaries and apply them 👑. For example: I do not like to be texted or called while I'm with friends, at work or whatever I'm busy with (except for emergencies obv). I mean, he can text me asking to meet me later and I'll answer whenever I can but I hate when people try to start a conversation while I'm busy. He can expect the same from me, I'm not going to text or call him if he's busy. OF COURSE I let him know if I'm busy and I expect the same from him, I used tell him this: "I'm letting you know that I'm going to be busy with work/with friends for the next x hours, so if I don't answer it's because I'm busy not because I do not want to talk to you. But I'll call you once I'm finished!" It's a personal example of one of my boundaries. You set yours.
This may be controversial but make him wait. Don't have sex with him on the first dates. Get to know him and let trust grow first, make sure that he's someone worthy of having an intimate moment. Sex is a beautiful and intimate moment which you shouldn't give it to anyone. I didn't have sex until we were official and talked about our likes or dislikes (if he talks about sex on the first dates🚩). I talked about this topic with some male friends and they all said that if they really like the girl they don't care about the waiting. They even told me that when they really like the girl at first they don't even see her in a sexual way. So if you feel that you have to have sex to make him like you, girl he's not the one.
Choose someone who could handle kids even if you don't want to. It's a really good tip that made me realize that if someone treats me always with love, patience, respect and empathy, will treat the same way to an innocent life like a kid or an animal. If he loses his temper while arguing then I can't trust him nor with kids or animals.
Relationships require time and patience to build trust, getting to know him, etc. So be aware of love bombing😈, you can't love someone you don't know.
I personally would never forgive cheating and I advice the same for everyone. Never forgive cheating.❌❌❌❌
3 MONTHS RULE: if he doesn't make it official after 3 months, DROP HIM. 🙅🙅🙅🙅🙅 (and I think 3 months it's too much, I used set my limit at 2).
Never date a man who recently has been through a break up. He's most likely to ghost👻 you or use you as a rebound🤡. I usually advice that he has to be in no contact with her ex and at least half of the relationship single. For example: if he was in a relationship of 2 years, he must have been at least 1 year single.
DON'T BE A COOL PICK ME GIRL. If you present yourself as a cool girl who doesn't need gifts, flowers, blablablabla, he'll never do it. He'll be confused as hell when you expect him to. Don't be afraid to show your expectations even if it sounds corny.
These may be controversial too but these are the redflags from my experience: 🚩doesn't pay the first date🚩, 🚩doesn't have a good job🚩, 🚩not ambitious🚩,🚩if he doesn't pick you up or take you back to your doorstep🚩. Don't get me wrong, someone can be a full time student or being on a temporarily job while looking for a better one. But the fact that he is working on a job he hates and is not actively looking for the better job is a redflag for me. That's why I think it goes hand by hand with being ambitious. I have studied and worked my ass off to have the future I desired, I want someone who can keep up with me.
If he disrespects you once it's his fault, he does it twice it's your fault.
I can't think of anything more right now, but if I come up with something I'll add it. If you need any personal advice feel free to tell me, you can dm me or ask me in anonymous.
You can disagree with me but do it from a respectful place or I'll block you. 🤭
BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is yandere Kozue like? Can you make a little quick story about it?
You have given me the power to write my favorite thing ever… Yandere women ✨✨
✨✨✨ Women on women ✨✨✨
You’re getting a women x women short story
Yandere Baki Short Stories:
Saccharine Kisses
Kozue Matsumoto edition
Warning: Internalized Homophobia mentioned below
Tumblr media
You were Kozue’s childhood best friend. Someone who was always there for her when her relationship got rocky with Baki. The shoulder to cry on. And she was the only one who you trusted with all your heart. You two had a very close bond. One that was practically inseparable.
You and Kozue constantly supported one another. You were each other’s rock. She was the one thing in your life that never went south and it was the same for her. Especially when her relationship began to dissolve. Baki and her became strangers in what felt like a blink of an eye.
They broke up. He became everything he hated. He was egotistical, narcissistic, and cold. He only cared about fighting and getting stronger so he could bear his father. It was as if he was a completely different person and that was why she had to finally call it quits.
Baki didn’t care about her at all. He didn’t care that she was upset about him getting hurt. He didn’t care that another man was making the moves on her. He almost killed the guy but was it truly a reaction out of jealousy or was it because he wanted to show to his old man that he could be vicious too? Baki hardly ever made time for her anyways and he made even less time for her after that whole fiasco. Kozue had dragged that relationship on for too long and you were proud of her for finally getting out of it before she got pregnant. Something deep in your soul told you that Baki was going to be a deadbeat father.
Maybe he could change but you doubted he would until he finally reached his goal of defeating his father. Everyone else in his life was nothing more than a stepping stone and you despised him for treating Kozue like she was nothing more than a step towards power.
It why you decided to invite her over for a sleep over like you two usually did every weekend. She was quiet. Too quiet. You didn’t like seeing your friend so down in the dumps so you wanted to cheer her up.
You decided to paint her nails for her and you two could watch a silly romantic comedy. Little things you knew she enjoyed. You even bought her pink tulips to try to bring a smile back on her pretty face. Kozue should never be sad. She was an amazing person.
“You’ve always been there for me when I really needed someone. And you always pay attention to what I like. You always listen to me.” Kozue whispered as she held your hands. Her brown eyes staring into your eyes with a twinkle in them. “It really got me thinking…”
“Kozue, you’re going to mess up your polish. Hold still.” You chided her as you straightened her hands out. You felt your cheeks heat up. And your heart start to race. You always held a torch for her but you never acted upon your feelings. Japan wasn’t really big on gay relationship. Two women together? You two would be harassed and neither of you were fighters. You didn’t ever want her to get hurt… you also didn’t want to ruin your friendship with her.
What if she told you that you were gross? That you were disgusting for liking the same gender? Would she scream at you? Spit at you?
You’ve been burned before at your last school before meeting Kozue. You didn’t want to be burned again so you would pretend to be normal. Pretend to like boys and go on dates. You wanted to fit in. To not lose Kozue. You don’t know what you would do if you lost the one light in your life and you didn’t want to find out.
“Your hands are sweaty.” You never pulled your hands away from someone so fast which only caused Kozue to giggle. “I don’t mind.”
“Oh but I do.” You shyly fiddled with your pajama pants. You just embarrassed yourself in front of the woman you love. God you hope she didn’t figure you out.
“You’re a lesbian aren’t you?” You felt your blood run cold. A lump forming in your throat as you struggled to breathe. Your lungs felt as if there were a thousand needles in them.
Your hands shook as your eyes went wide. You couldn’t utter a word as Kozue just stared at you. You couldn’t read her expression. You couldn’t tell what she was thinking for once in your time of knowing her. This was it… this was the last day you were good to see Kozue.
“I-“ You could only gasp when she pressed her lips to yours. Your eyes were full blown and you could feel your stomach explode with butterflies. What was happening?
You clumsily kissed her back. The two of you awkwardly trying to find a pace to kiss at. It was new. It was different. It was… exciting.
You began to lean into the kiss. Your hands tangling themselves into Kozue’s hair as you took the lead. Your bodies now pressed together as you pushed her down on the bed.
Never would you imagine yourself kissing Matsumoto Kozue. Never would you imagine her returning your feelings… unless this was just curiosity for her. You didn’t want to be a one firm thing.
You tried pulling away but Kozue suddenly grabbed your face and pulled you back down. Her soft fingers running over your cheeks like tiny dancers. She had you wrapped around them and she knew it.
You both pulled away. Your eyes hazy with lust as she smiled up at you. You didn’t want to stop. You never wanted to stop.
“I followed you on your ‘dates.’ You never went out with guys.” She whispered as she sat up, draping herself on your lap. Her legs wrapped around your waist. “I was jealous. At first I thought it was because my best friend was spending time with other people but then… I saw you kiss them.”
Follow you? Why would she follow you?
“Kozue-“ she pressed a finger to your lips and softly shushed you.
“That jealousy was something I never felt before. Not even when Baku would spend more time training than being around me. Not even when girls would wave at him. No… this was new.” Kozue grasped your hands in hers as a bright smile enveloped her soft features. “I cried when you spent time with those women but I didn’t shed a tear when I broke up with Baki. This is what love is!”
Usually you didn’t have more than two dates with other women. They would suddenly stop messaging you after the second date. It really upset you because you wanted to get over Kozue. Kozue wouldn’t have anything to do with that right?
Kozue laid her head on your shoulder, sighing into your skin. You didn’t know how to react. Your crush just confessed to you but why did you feel dread? Shouldn’t you feel something positive?
“I’m in love with you.” Kozue pressed her lips to your neck before humming. “Do you feel the same way?”
“I love you too.” You whispered as you felt her lips start to travel from up your neck to the husk of your ear. A shriek escaping your throat when she nipped your ear lobe. What was that?!
“Then let’s be together. More than we already are.” Kozue stated as if it were the most obvious fact in the world. “You don’t need other women when you have me. I feel the same way.”
Kozue tightly clutched your hands in hers. Her brown eyes lit up with an emotion you couldn’t decipher. Did you even want to know what she meant by saying you don’t need other women? She was your sweet friend… she’d never sabotage your dating life… right?
“Kozue-“ she began to pepper your lips with kisses. Kozue smiled into every single one. This felt so right. You felt so right.
“You said you love me.” Kozue whispered as she began to take off her shirt. Your whole face flushing as red as a tomato. “So you need to take responsibility.”
Poor you loved Kozue too much to see the red flags. To realize Kozue was the reason why you couldn’t be with anyone else. That she didn’t just love you, she was obsessed with you.

Relationships.
Superhero Girls
Barbara Gordon: The two were in the same computer club back in Gotham so Batgirl was excited to see Lonnie in Metropolis. Their alter egos would collide with the two of them finding out each other's secret identities.
Jessica Cruz: Lonnie comes to like Jessica due to her activism and strong moral stances. He can get impatient with her less thought out methods though. He really doesn't have an issue with Green Lantern beyond an obstacle to his goals, though her willingness to talk things out is appreciated.
Diana Prince: Diana's stellar performance in school and passion for sticking up for those weaker than her cause Lonnie to grow to admire her. Those same traits would lead to similar admiration for Wonder Woman though he gets frustrated by her refusal to fight "the real enemies"
Karen Beecher: Karen's aptitude for technology would impress Lonnie and her shy demeanor would at times trigger his protection instinct. The former would be transferred to Bumblebee and her willingness to handle things peacefully somewhat won Lonnie over.
Kara Danvers: Lonnie would be put off by the Kryptonian's brash and confrontational personality as well as her distaste for "nerd stuff". Her aggressive and short tempered behavior as Supergirl would further fuel his distaste for the cousin of Superman.
Zee Zatara: The nicest thing Lonnie can say about Zee is that she is a fundamentally nice person. But between her wealthy status, zeal for "frivolities" like fashion and her shameless showing off of her magic powers, that's as far as it goes.
Supervillain Girls
Harleen Quinzel: Like with Barbara, Harley was excited to welcome a fellow Gothamite though Lonnie would come to find her too loud for his liking. He would likewise have a mixed relationship with her villainous persona Harley Quinn with Lonnie getting irritated at the clown's insistence that her chaos was the same as Anarky's er anarchy but they would at times make common cause.
Pamela Isley: Pamela's devotion to protecting the environment would earn Lonnie's approval, as Poison Ivy her disregard for human life would (ironically) see her taking things too far as Anarky.
Selina Kyle: Selina's overwhelm materialism (and willingness to rob the poor as well as the rich) would sour Lonnie's opinion almost immediately. Still Anarky and Catwoman could occasionally work together, albeit with neither trusting the other.
Leslie Willis: Lonnie would be disgusted by Leslie's petty trolling and Livewire's casual sadism.
Doris Zeul: Whether as Doris or Giganta Lonnie's opinion is basically the same, a dumb brute best avoided.
Carol Ferris: Lonnie basically just pitys her for her obsession with Hal Jordan

I haven't gotten to read you rewrite yet, but what's really intrigued me was how you said you'd handle Ozpin. Personally I find the concept of shady, mysterious, ominous, manipulative, archaic, ambiguous at best being way who pulls strings to accomplishing god knows what galaxy-scale goals more interesting than Heroic Good Guy who always tries his best, would never sacrifice anyone, who's always dripping in self-loathing.
He's been forced to live for thousands of years. Can you imagine what that could possibly do to a person? Just how profoundly screwed his mind is?
If my time on earth was unlimited, if I had to come back to see the same cycle and patterns of events repeating endlessly, if I was betrayed time and time again, intentionall or not, I'd become pretty horrible cynical asf and detached from reality. I wouldn't value human life as much as I used to.
Yeah, the way I see it, neither Salem nor Ozpin should behave "Human" after centuries, if not thousands of years of being there.
Just because one is "good" and the other is "bad" doesn't mean either should be any less terrifying than the other.
Ozpin still has human flaws and attachments and psychological tendencies to keep repeating the same patterns - as far as the morality of his decisions goes, a lot of his logic should, by all means, be terrifying or incomprehensible.
Even if he WANTED to be genuine, he has a thousand years of experience of just socializing with people - a thousand years of knowledge of how people react and how they respond, as well as possible outcomes of their behavior - that alone would completely alter how he would approach even most basic conversations. Could he even interact with someone without accidentally manipulating them? Even your everyday person would have completely different reasoning and debating skills as a kid and as a grown adult - how different would be a person who had a thousand years to live and learn?
The weirdest thing about the show for me is how Salem seems to care about destroying the Kingdoms and stuff, let alone killing Ozpin and having him reincarnate again when that is a "mortal villain approach" at best - did she suddenly wake up one morning and go "Okay this year I am finally doing this thing that I haven't done for centuries for some reason"? After a thousand years, things like a Kingdom falling should basically be Tuesday to her and it should make no difference to her whether a Kingdom falls in a week or in a century.
That's another thing that would be different for an immortal - the perception of the flow of time.
For a mortal, a decade would be around one-eighth of their average lifespan - for an immortal, that same amount of time should be no different from a second. Even the simplest things like "Soon" would hold a completely different meaning for someone who lived a thousand years. We are talking about beings who should have a completely different understanding of patience and would plan on a completely different scope of time than mortal people.
Ozpin would absolutely attempt to hold on to his values and ideals over centuries - but I don't think he would be capable of holding on to the humanity behind those ideals. The Ozpin I am writing is completely dedicated to his vision of the future and hopeful for humanity, but also, at the same time more than willing to go to extreme lengths to ensure that vision. Most of his decisions are well weighed and made with intent of manipulating things on a grander scale, yet at the same time his incompatibility with human nature of mortals also creates more problems for him in the end.
Likewise, for Salem things like anger outbursts or impatience are beneath her - there's a certain unsettling niceness to her and how she's all too willing to help people achieve their dreams like some fairy godmother. Yet at the same time, every action she takes still fits her overall philosophy and worldview and benefits her in her "debate" with Ozpin.
Salem would give you everything you wanted, while Ozpin would convince you that you actually want the very same things as he does - yet neither of their actions would follow mortal logic and would, in the end, benefit the grander game at hand.
