For today I wanted an illustration of Nesta and Cassian enjoying the tranquility of the House. This was, in fact, the first illustration that I commissioned with Pablo and when I saw how it turned out, I was unable to correctly order the words because of how impacted I was by the beauty of the illustration.

Quão acuada Nestha está.

Quando Nestha diz a Bryce que é melhor cooperar, você pode ter achado que ela quis dizer isso ameaçadoramente, mas pare para pensar. Depois de todo o abuso em ACoSF, é bastante possível que Nes tenha dito isso porque ela tentou ir contra o IC e falhou. Quebraram-na ao distorcer a verdade tantas vezes, tanto que ela começou a simplesmente aceitar na maior parte das vezes.

When Nestha tells Bryce it's better to cooperate, you might have thought she meant it threateningly, but think about it. After all the abuse in ACoSF, it's quite possible that Nes said that because she tried to go against the IC and failed. They broke her by twisting the truth so many times, so much so that she started to just accept most of the time.

Eu sinto que Cassian nunca vai apoiar Nestha verdadeiramente, sinto que Cass frequentemente se ressente de Nes por ela entrar em conflito com Rhys, pondo-o numa saia-justa entre a "parceira" e o irmão e grão-senhor. Na verdade, depois de toda a porcaria que foi Chamas Prateadas, o capítulo bônus de CC3 deixou isso ainda mais claro, já que a única aliada dela quando Rhys resolveu explodir foi, ao invés de sua família ou seu parceiro, Ember, uma mulher que nunca a tinha visto antes e sequer tinha motivos para defendê-la. Eu ainda não sei porque Nestha se submete a isso, um tratamento constantemente rude por parte do homem que se diz seu companheiro e a família dele, quando podia simplesmente deixá-los, abandonar a Noturna e pedir asilo em outra Corte, para reconstruir a vida em uma delas.

I feel like Cassian will never truly support Nestha, I feel like Cass often resents Nes for conflicting with Rhys, putting him in a tight spot between the 'mate' and the brother and High Lord. In fact, after all the mess that was Silver Flames, the bonus chapter of CC3 made it even clearer, as her only ally when Rhys decided to explode was, instead of her family or her mate, Ember, a woman who had never seen her before and had no reason to defend her. I still don't know why Nestha submits to this, constant rude treatment from the man who claims to be her companion and his family, when she could simply leave them, abandon the Night Court, and seek asylum in another Court, to rebuild her life in one of them.
