#not saying that the asker is a teen just that this is a look that seems to be popular with the trendy teens on the internets right now

that has a supporting character with dwarfism, and he's really close with his older brother, who is pretty tall. would it be weird if i sometimes had the younger ask his older brother pick him up so he can reach things? its supposed to be a cute little quirk of theirs that shows their bond, but i'm worried it might come off as weird for some reason. also, do you guys could give me a couple more tips on writing a character with dwarfism, if you have any? thanks in advance! (2/2)
Hi! the guy who asked about less talkative autistic characters here. sorry about that! i was going for more of like... don't talk to a point where it wouldn't be considered "socially acceptable?" but i had a character limit so i couldn't really get my point across that well. now that i think about it, that would probably also be lumped into just, yknow, not being talkative too. anyways, i have another unrelated question! probably equally silly but w/e. i'm writing a slice-of-life story (1/2)
Hello lovely asker!
I just wanna say that because of the ask backlog and the rotation of mods I'm afraid I don't know what ask your talking about, but I'm sure it was simply just a question that was in good faith of curiosity which is what this blog is for 😊
And to answer your question, I'm curious with how old the younger brother is. I haven't been picked up since I was probably about five to help me reach something and even then I was getting yelled at for climbing counters and such. If the younger brother isn't a very young child I would avoid this.
Being picked up is a general no. if you wouldn't do it to anyone else don't do it to someone with dwarfism or any person with a disability. Unless it's under their explicit permission, or help with transferring (from say a mobility aid to a bed or another place etc) or life or death situation, it's almost always a no.
Instead using things like the broom handle to hit tall switches or they even have these things called a "Reacher Grabber" that makes grabbing high up things super easy. Stool also are a big help, the small collapsible ones are easy to carry and move, and certain placed handles help too. Tall people are an advantage I will say though. Having the older brother bring something down to the younger brother is fine. Also have the younger brother climb things and stack objects and use the environment around him so he can get what he wants. I assure you this is what most of us do a lot.
A few more writing tips I have would be:
Research different types of dwarfism and find out which one you want your character to have and how this will affect him. It doesn't have to be mentioned at all but you knowing what type will give you much more insight into building this character.
Don't be afraid to give them mobility aids. A lot of people with Dwarfism have them and use them because they help us and they're pretty common in the community. (Do plenty of research there too if they do have one!)
A joke once or twice, especially if the two characters are very very close, about his dwarfism is okay! Me and my friends joke about mine all the time but quantity control along with a joke in good taste and timing is very important.
The character getting frustrated with his disability is okay too! It happens to me a lot but usually I'll find a solution right after to the thing that frustrated me and that frustration is gone as quick as it came.
If he's having a long conversation or an eye-to-eye conversation with someone that's tall, have them sit down somewhere, get to eye-level (I wouldn't have them lean over to his height though). It really does start to hurt your neck and head after looking up at everyone for so long.
And lastly, I certainly use my height to my advantage in multiple different scenarios. Small hands and small containers or spaces are very compatible with one another. And even though I have to shop in the small teens or kids section for clothes or shoes, I will say certain things are made better for kids (for some reason). But I also know how to hem my own clothes and how to fix them! A lot of people with dwarfism make or modify their own clothes. I can't tell you the amount of times I've gotten discounts at buffets and restaurants because people just assume I'm a child and I'm not gonna protest the discount either so. There are many fun aspects to having dwarfism, I have more fun with it and get more laughs and community out of it than frustration or anything else.
I know there's many more little things that I'm forgetting right now but the dwarfism community could probably add a few things too. Good luck writing!

would you have any sewing patterns that resemble thses kinds of dresses that i could take a look at? i prefer to improvise my sewing patterns but it does help to have a peek at existing ones <3
Tumblr media
I had a look through my vintage pattern envelopes (you can too at bit.ly/mypatternenvelopes) and they are all of the wrong era for that very high, almost empire-waist, just-below-the-bust seam that to me screams late 90s/early 2000s. If you're willing to buy an old pattern, I would suggest searching "McCall's Evening Elegance patterns" which was their formalwear collection in the late 90s. 2182, 2692 and 9287 all have that similar shape and high waist seam, and are recent enough that they should be available for 10ish bucks on eBay or Etsy.
Alternatively, if you're used to starting from scratch, you can take basically any princess-seamed strapless bodice pattern (the first one in this bodice tutorial by Shapes Of Fabric should work), make a quick muslin from scraps to work out where you want that high waist seam to sit, and then do a simple panelled skirt with seams that continue from the princess seams of the bust.
Good luck!

What can an anarchist minor do?
This is a question I received today. It was about a young person who had no means to travel to places where there were anarchist communities and such. I’m not answering the question publicly to protect the identity of the question-asker, but wanted to republish my answer here, so others could also contribute stuff:
Hi there. First of: so cool that you found your way to anarchism so early in life. Many of us take decades of unlearning stuff before we open our minds to anarchism. Yay! :)
Second, and I know this probably isn't exactly the answer you were looking for: taking some time to get to a point where you can do very meaningful stuff is fine. Learning new stuff and having fun with friends and figuring out who you are is kind of what being young is for. You don't have to be a 'productive' anarchist.
If you do want to start doing anarchism, the world that you can impact is mostly the world very close to you. Look at your school for example: is there a students union bringing together the power of the pupils? (if not, could you help start one?) Is there a racist curriculum that needs changing? Is there a lack of gender neutral bathrooms? Do the students have access to real sex education, birth control and safe sex tools, including material that meets the needs of lgbti+ students?
In the same way, you could look around your neighborhood and social circle and see what could be better. Remember that small things matter. Helping elderly people take out their garbage is doing an anarchism. Reaching out to a teen who seems lonely and depressed is doing an anarchism.
If you do decide to target something bigger, you have very little power as a minor. It is an oppressed position. However, you have one asset: adults think idealism in other adults is irritating, but idealism in young people is cute and inspirational. That's why Greta Thunberg got such a platform while thousands of adult activists didn't: she could be the inspirational child because she had no power. That sucks but you can use that strategically. If a minor starts a campaign to remove anti-homelessness spikes or to reduce water consumption by replacing lawns with local plants, they're going to have an easier time getting positive press aboutn that than an adult would.
That's a few thoughts. I hope they're helpful. To close, I wanna say again: it's fine to just be you for now. It is fine to just hang out or make art or prank your friends or have crushes or play in a band or meet really cool dogs. You don't owe the world more than that right now.

Why are so many people saying Casey Jr is 20... No he's not...? Unless you think so that is. Ron said he was around late teens or 20, so you are given a choice to like, choose what specific age you want to see him as.
Look I'm even going to cite my sources for this:
Tumblr media
See? Now can people stop spreading misinformation/omitting details? Jeez...
Okay first of all chill out, second of all it's not that deep. I don't even have Twitter why are you getting all pissy in my ask box because someone said to me in an ask that Jr was 20 and I responded as if that was the case because it was in the context of the ask?
I highly doubt that anybody is actually spreading misinformation on purpose like you are implying. Even if they are it's not a reason to talk down to people.
MANY people and, I'm assuming, that asker are only saying that Jr is 20 bc it's a JOKE. Hyperbolic satire is a thing for a reason.
Tumblr media
I appreciate that you are just trying to share the truth but there is no reason to come at it with the energy you've got. All you had to say was "hey! Just wanted to let you know, Jr could be 20 but the creator said he's actually in his late teens or 20." I get annoyed at trivial stuff too but the polite and mature thing to do would be to wait until you've cooled off to say something. I'm sick of people being so passive aggressive in my ask box ya'll need to learn some manners or sm💀

Hi!!! I just wanted to talk about how Dan and Phil as a brand is so relatable to neurodivergents in the way that they've been treated recently. So DnP built their careers off of being "weird" and "quirky" and socially awkward. That was Their Thing. Dan spoke for years about being violently bullied (quotes such as "being punched in the head by dickheads" stand out as a pre-BIG example of just how violent it got at times), Phil had the Why I Was a Weird Kid series, they both were frequently talked about as being "weird" and "awkward" by other YouTubers - they WERE the "weird" ones of the vlog group. The ones that awkward teens could relate to. Unfortunately, this got the attention of the #imsoquirky crowd who talks like they're experiencing all of these things while also being the same people who would mock me for my autism.
And that's the crowd now saying Dan is too old to be posting catboy photos or saying that the two of them "give the ick now, idk why." And I just can't help but notice how much I relate to that as an autistic and ADHD person. So many times over the years, I've made "friends" who were slightly into my interests, but then got weirded out by how hard I went into them. I think what we're seeing is the same thing happening to Dan and Phil. Drawing cat whiskers on your face to answer questions? Well that's "so cute and quirky"!! (/s). But actually playing as Catboys in JRPGs, dressing up in cat ears, making animal noises (which the two of them always did but ig this group overlooked), etc? Well that's "too far" and "so weird."
I think Dan especially got hit with this because he has more subscribers. When he talks about being bullied, most people can relate to that. But then when he goes and honks a horn in a game repeatedly (which tbh I've done before myself, very ADHD coded of him) or talks about hiding behind vending machines to avoid talking to people, that is suddenly "too annoying/weird" for some of the audience that got into him for his "relatably weird" content.
Sorry this is such a long ramble, but basically Dan and Phil have accidentally become the perfect examples of how kids with autism/ADHD/social pragmatic disorder/nvld/dyspraxia *insert other neurodivergencies that can cause atypical socialization* are treated. People might find your initial "quirkiness" relatable because everyone feels awkward or socially anxious at times, but it's when they see that you are Actually Just Like That and it's not to be #relatable that they turn on you and start saying that you're "too much" and "too weird."
Dan and Phil were the "weird" ones of the British vlog scene, and those of us who tuned into the younows or watched their older videos knew this, but someone who only subbed after watching a meme review or the two of them playing undertale might have assumed that they were the "right" kind of quirky/weird.
This is probably incoherent, but I hope you get what I mean.
this isn't incoherent! just such a well thought out ask i don't have anything to add. there's really specific ways i'm comfortable talking abour dnp + neurodivergence & neurodivergence in general so it's not something i've ever done super in depth posts abt!
i've actually gotten a few really lengthy asks like this over the last few weeks, so this is to you and to my other askers: i really appreciate that folks want to share their ideas with me but sometimes i genuinely don't have enough to contribute in response to add on to what's being said! and that makes it pretty impossible to answer asks like this.
so this is to everyone: feel free to @ me in the replies on your posts! (doing that leaves things cleaner than @ ing in the body of a post, which in my experience means folks are more likely to engage, if that's what you're looking for). especially loop me in about dnp + neurodivergene or dnp + gender!
this isn't a promise i'll rb or even see things, this website's functionality is shit, but like. it's actually way easier for me to see and support than if yall are sending me essay length anons, and this way i + others can find more people who share the same opinions as us! make ur own posts & ppl will follow u i prommy

Ayooo. It sounds kinda cringe but eddie munson x vampire reader???? Or something like that. Or just x GN reader. That would be rlly swag of you :D
NO BC THIS IS PERFECT I was like "man I really wanna write a little about the Lost Boys/Stranger Things fic I'm working on, but IDK if the asker knows the Lost Boys" but you DO so sorry I am taking creative liberties w/ this imagine.
"Big Storm Coming" (Eddie Munson + LostBoys!Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your brothers were rabble-rousers. Nare-do-wells. It made settling anywhere... difficult, when the police kept getting on their tails. They set fires, caused public chaos, spray-painted walls. Hell, you spray-painted walls when you were bored enough. Eternal life was excruciatingly boring.
Like clockwork Max would chew them out, probably throwing one of them across the room in anger, and then move all of you to a new town.
Probably for the best. David brought death with him everywhere, he was messy and angry like that, and Dwayne, Marko, and Paul followed his example. Usually leaving you and Star to clean up the disaster.
So, really, moving to Hawkins felt like any other clan migration. Low population, sleepy police force, lots of bored teens "prone to going missing", as David had put it with a tight, toothy smile.
Marko had cackled when Max said he was enrolling everyone in highschool to "keep you outta trouble". He thought it was a joke.
It was not a joke. When you tried to protest Max told you to shut it or he'd lock you out on the porch come sunrise.
You all went straight from Max's van doors to the school entryway. A half-second in the sun, shielded under jacket lapels and long hair.
It was, admittedly, pretty fun, blowing open those doors on your first day. As much as you had a love-hate relationship with your blood brothers, you had to admit they turned heads. You all did. Wild rocker hair, manic self-assured grins, spike-studded boots. Rock-and-roll, baby. The sea of hallway students parted for the five of you.
Paul and Dwayne, as usual, were flirting with any girl that came within five feet of them, taking bets on who'd get a number by the end of the day. But with Star home with Laddie and David glowering at everyone like he wanted to massacre everything and then hang himself, you were pretty much on your own.
Great. School, again. A year of faking interest in American history and just waiting for a drained corpse to be found in the woods.
And then. AND THEN. Hawkins High, shithole in the middle of Indiana, gave you the gift you'd be desperately hoping for.
"Principal's office, NOW, Munson!" A teacher screamed nearby, flinging open a classroom door and shoving out a tall, wild-maned, leather-jacket clad man. The man flipped a double bird to the closed door, shoved his hands in his pockets, and turned around to start trudging down the hall.
Freezing in place when he saw you. Two individuals, nearly identical in style. Outcasts. Lost, maybe.
An incredulous grin spread across his face, dark eyebrows disappearing up into messy fringe. "...Holy shit." He said with a disbelieving laugh. "Look at you. Rock on, man."
He introduced himself as Eddie Munson, blood thumping under his ivory-pale skin and smelling like American Spirit cigarettes, and all at once you were hooked. He was clearly excited to see someone else with a patch jacket sporting bands he knew. He asked you if you wanted to smoke sometime. You blindly agreed, distracted by that warm smile.
And as he walked away down the wide hall, saying "Boo!" to a passing group of freshmen girls and making them literally jump, two things were made utterly apparent to you.
One: Eddie Munson was going to save your high school experience from being the most boring thing ever.
Two: he needed to be protected from your brothers at all costs. None of you were allowed to be happy. To make friends. They destroyed those sort of things out of envy, of jealousy. And you would not let Eddie be a tally mark in David's kill ledger.
Thank you for the prompt: if you guys like this concept, please let me know! I'm considering a longer, multi-chapter crossover fic with Eddie/reader and the Hawkins gang VS Max's boys.

My Manga Yuu Wish List
Tumblr media
With the appearance of Yuuka Hirasawa in Savanaclaw Manga replacing Yuuken Enma from the Heartslabyul Manga, it's safe to say that we might expect more Yuu in future manga installments. So, today, I have a wish list for the next future Yuu.
Now, to premise this: This is a wish list. Thus, this might sound very self-indulgent. These are just my opinions and you guys can agree or disagree with them. I'm open to further conversation. And because this is very self-indulgent, I realized after writing this that I may or may not make Yuu the main character. What I'm saying is that I may or may not give my choices of Yuu a bigger role than in the game. Like, some have an entire character development for a one-off mc. This is what happens when you daydream about the plot too much lol. All the Yuu here are first-year age, or at least around that, like Yuuken and Yuuka. So, unfortunately, there are no adults or tiny children.
So, without further ado, here's my wish list for future Manga Yuu for each Episode.
.
.
.
Octavinelle Arc
Once the Discord group I'm in is talking about some reader expectations on future Manga Yuu. Someone sent an ask to my friend saying that they (the asker) want an overweight Yuu to show that you can be happy even if you're overweight. Now, there is no problem with this and it is a good message. However, I don't think it suits the story of Octavinelle.
Like, if I have to guess this Overweight Yuu plot, is that Yuu was also bullied because of their appearance but managed to come out as a happy child. This is a great message. But, here's the thing: Azul is already happy. Yes, he's no longer a chubby octopus, but he's now a happy teen. If this is about self-acceptance, and both Overweight Yuu and Azul are comfortable in their own path of happiness, then what is there to challenge? What does Overweight Yuu bring to the table other than representation (and possibly pandering wokeness)? Again, I’m not saying Overweight Yuu is bad, I’m all support. It’s only the matter of execution. And we’re living in a timeline where “representation” in media being more important than storytelling, you can’t blame me for having fear of the worst.
We need to go back to Octavinelle Arc. The main story the Octavinelle is Azul scamming many student is signing a contract, making them his servants, and it's up to Yuu to save them (well, mostly your close friends). While body image is a struggle for Azul, that's not the main conflict of Octavinelle. Azul was bullied as a kid and that resentment kept growing along with his skill. When he becomes, basically, above everyone else, he uses that power to scam people. In short, Azul is a bully victim who becomes a bully.  And that's the key. Azul is doing all of this, working hard to be better not because he wants to be better, but as an act of revenge toward his bullies first and foremost.
That's why I don't think the Overweight Yuu and the self-acceptance theme might work in terms of narrative.
But that’s not saying we can’t have an Overweight Yuu. However, the overweight-ness is not the main focus. What I think might be a good theme to challenge Azul is revenge and redemption.
So, I offer a Former Bully Yuu.
Tumblr media
Just like how Yuuken is the calm leader compared to Riddle being easy to anger, and Yuuka hardworking compare to Leona's laziness, I offer someone who switches roles: Azul previously was a bullying victim now become a bully, and Yuu who was a bully once but now defends those in need.
I imagine Former Bully Yuu as someone who looks tough, maybe part of a gang once, but turns out to have a heart of gold. Maybe something happened that made them stop their bullying and actually try to be good. Or maybe they're still struggling to mend their mistake but people still see the bully in them. Going to Twisted Wonderland might be a blessing because they can start a new leaf with a brand new image. They might even have a closer bond with Deuce for their similar past. And if Deuce said he can relate to Azul, the Former Bully Yuu can do too.
When Octavinelle Arc starts, Former Bully Yuu knows the signs almost immediately and maybe even call out at Azul's behavior. Thus, there's a conflict between the two main players and Former Bully Yuu becomes determined to save their friends.
This actually might also open the possibility of having Yuu that's not a good kid in the beginning. Yuuken and Yuuka are good kids, but having an actual (albeit former) bad Yuu as an MC gives a chance for an unlikable protagonist who actually grows through the story even if it's just in one manga.
For this Yuu, I actually prefer if they're a female for a few reasons. One, because Yuu can be any gender, and two, I just really want a really bad bitch. I've seen so many good girl Yuu in the fandom, so why not a former bad girl Yuu. And just, really, I want to see a woman make mistake and actually own it unlike many modern 'strong female characters'.
.
Scarabia Arc
Same as the previous section, someone sent an ask to my friend that they (the asker) want a hijabi Yuu. However, once again there's nothing wrong with this request, like before, what does this bring to the narrative? What does Hijabi Yuu bring to the table other than representation (and possibly pandering wokeness)? Also, Najma doesn't wear a hijab, so why not Yuu too?
When we talk about hijabi, we often connect it with religion. But Scarabia Arc is never about religion. Scarabia Arc is about rebellion and freedom, of a servant challenging his fate and authority, to topple down he who basically owns you. What can Hijabi Yuu challenge from this?
But there is another, more disgusting, way. That Hijabi Yuu is struggling with their religion, thus wanting to break free just like Jamil. I sincerely hope that this is not the route they're taking. Going down this route feels like you're mocking us. While I'm not a Muslim myself, growing up in the country with the largest Muslim population, I know how important religion and tradition are for us. My friends are not oppressed by their religion. They are proud and this is their act of being fateful to God.
The bottom line, like Overweight Yuu, I don’t want Hijabi Yuu to be there just for representation brownie points, but has a bigger role. We can still have Hijabi Yuu, but their hijab or being Muslim is not their main trait.
Going back to Scarabia Arc, I think we can play around with the idea of freedom. Technically, we're not challenging Jamil's concept of freedom directly but opening another window. However, I do admit that this is a tricky arc to tackle. So, I kinda offer two routes.
Going down the classic route, the first one is the Rich Kid Yuu.
Tumblr media
Listen. I'm not a rich kid myself, so I can get this wrong.
I actually imagine Rich Kid Yuu is born into a prestigious family, maybe even a billionaire. Rich Kid Yuu is the heir of this company thus they're raised to be the next leader. They attend the best school, has many tutors, and is living to their parent's expectation. However, the stress finally caught up to them and they realized that "Wait, when can I take a break?" and seeing other kids their age they wondered why can't they be free like them with no rules and responsibility. Going to Twisted Wonderland is their escapism and dream come true.
Yes, this is similar to Riddle's story, but that's why it might work. If Jamil wants to be free from being under Kalim's shadow while Rich Kid Yuu is freed from their family ties. They understand where Jamil is coming from for while they don't share the same background, the longing for freedom is mutual. However, I also imagine Jamil sees Rich Kid Yuu the same as Kalim, albeit less annoying. So how do we challenge Jamil?
I think it might be more efficient if Jamil meets someone from the same level. That's when the second option is here. Coming from the opposite spectrum is Poor Kid Yuu.
Tumblr media
Now, this is closer to home. While I myself is not living in poverty, my family once went through some financial trouble. But I might get this wrong as well.
Poor Kid Yuu might be similar to Azul but at least they're not doing it out of spite. Poor Kid Yuu was born into a poor family or a working-class or family with lots of debt, thus money became sacred to them. They're the type who would count their blessing and a hard worker in school, the top of the class because they're aiming for the scholarship. I think they might be the ones who would actually panic and try to find their own way out of Twisted Wonderland, every day wondering what's their family's fate.
This is where Jamil got challenged. Jamil is tied to his role as a servant while Poor Kid Yuu is tied to their financial problem. Both want to be free from that, but Jamil picks the rebellion road while Poor Kid Yuu picks the peaceful hard work road. Maybe, instead of Jamil being challenged, Poor Kid Yuu is the one getting their ideal challenged. With force, Jamil can secure a brief victory while the years Yuu has spent these years and no result in escaping poverty. Being a good guy, Poor Kid Yuu proves their resolve, choosing the long hard yet truthful way than cheating their way to success.
For this one, any gender is fine. Actually, it might be stronger if we have a female Yuu for the Rich Kid Yuu. Mostly I want the "girlboss who actually does girlboss stuff and deserves the recognition" representation.
.
Pomefiore Arc
Outside of Octavinelle and Scarabia Arc, I haven't really seen any hardcore speculation for Pomefiore Arc. I think the first choice would be a manager since we're entering the idol/school festival arc. I actually agree with this one. Having a Manager Yuu might actually give Yuu a chance to participate the practice even more than in canon. Like Vil giving Yuu the responsibility in the schedule, their diet, and the accommodation. Which means, we'll be getting a Yuu who is more mature than the rest, someone who has the skill and experience in group management.
But let's also see what Pomefiore Arc is about. Outside the school festival, I'll be taking one of the main elements, which is looking for (social) validation. Like, comment, subscribe, kudos, bookmark, and reblog. Everything us content creator is, like it or not, striving for. Our relationship with our followers is precious to us. But it can backstab you. You'll be looking for their validation and the parasocial relationship will grow. At least that's what I went through. Vil is also the same. He needs social validation, he needs that beauty rank to see what's his worth. The thing is, he knows his skill, he knows what he's capable of, but what is the use if nobody is there to support you? We often say that we draw/write/create content because we love it, but we also want to be recognized so it doesn't feel like we're talking to a brick wall.
I want to offer two Yuus. The first one is the Struggling Content Creator Yuu or maybe just CC Yuu for short.
Tumblr media
This Yuu can either be an artist, a writer, a YouTuber, a Twitch streamer, a vlogger, a blogger, anything. They are a content creator on the internet. But note the 'struggling' part. Before going to Twisted Wonderland, CC Yuu is hitting rock bottom in their craft, like having a writer blog, a burnout, declining subscribers, anything. Or the opposite, they're striving in their craft and they're the internet darling, to the point of parasocial relationship with their follower and want to please them. Basically, Yuu is your young content creator. But, I'm going down the rock bottom CC Yuu.
Basically, CC Yuu has been wrung dry. They have no more content and the thing they used to love feels like a chore. Maybe they didn't get much like or reblog, making them feel like they're talentless. And going to Twisted Wonderland just make that feeling worse, because not only do you have a real celebrity like Vil, who seemingly can do anything perfectly, as the only magicless kid in this goddamn school, they're useless.
I imagine CC Yuu as someone who is bitter and jealous (once again going down the Yuu not being the best kid route), who looks down on themselves and wants to quit. This might be the only Yuu in the list who I think might actively hate a character, in this case, Vil, for a personal reason when Vil doesn't do anything wrong. Just standing next to him cause irritation in them because he's oh so perfect. I mean, don't we all when we first play TWST? Don’t we all hate Vil because he’s a mean girl?
The overblot was a slap for them, showing that Vil also went through the same struggles. Maybe post-Overblot, CC Yuu and Vil can have a talk and CC Yuu just vent and Vil understand them, maybe contacting people he knows that might help boost. CC Yuu is clearly not cures from their burnout, but the feeling is starting to grow. Maybe they could grab the pen again when they go home...
I know this is not every content creator’s struggle, but you can’t really just pull every artist problems and put it in a character. That’s why I’m more focusing of the burnout from the lack of follower response and jealousy of Vil who looks perfect.
On the other side of the spectrum, we have the classic Theater Kid Yuu.
Tumblr media
This Yuu is very loud, very obnoxious, sometimes overconfident, has an infectious laugh, looks like a goofball, and you'll either like them or hate them.  Theater Kid Yuu stands in the spotlight and likes to be at the center of attention. The theater has been a large part of their life, maybe to the point it's his basic personality. Their goal is to make everyone smile, to leave a lasting impression, so nobody forgets about them.
But I also imagine Theater Kid Yuu being the kindest of them all. Being in the theater can develop one’s attention to detail, especially subtle gestures. They could decipher when someone is sad, angry, or happy. If irritation appears on people's faces when they're around, then Yuu would slowly pull themselves away.
They're also very open to criticism since that's a way to grow in their craft. However, that would also mean they would also take hateful comments. Theater Kid Yuu would still take it with a smile. They will take those into their self-reflective moment and try to find a way to make the bonds less hurtful.
With this, I feel like Theater Kid Yuu will be the first one to notice Vil's struggle. Being in the entertainment industry is almost the same as theater, thus they vaguely know the routine. They would notice Vil keeps asking Mira and Vil first crumbles when Neige performs. Theater Kid Yuu will try to be friends with Vil, because they are kind and no actor can perform without their crew, thus Vil should have someone as well.
For these Yuu, I don’t have a preferable gender. I’m more used with male for Theater Kid Yuu, but anything is fine.

Ignihyde & Diasomnia Arc
Now you must be wondering why I lump these two arcs together. Well, not only because Diasomnia Arc is still ongoing, most of the Yuu that I pick for these arcs can somehow be switched around. One of the themes I decided to pick for these two arcs is the concept of time and family. Both Idia and Malleus struggle with the loss of (or in the process of losing) someone they are close. Idia lost his brother and to this day still being haunted by his death. Malleus is in the process of losing Lilia, who had been with him since he was a kid, and Yuu, while their meeting was brief left an impact on them. There's also the concept of time with Idia losing the time of being with human Ortho and Malleus racing against Lilia and Yuu's time. Because of these elements I'm focusing on, I'll combine the choices of Yuu I want.
Starting with the easy ones, we have Orphan Yuu.
Tumblr media
Orphan Yuu is someone who had lost a family, usually parents. They're living with some relatives or are adopted. Maybe they have a younger sibling who is still alive and they take the role of the main caretaker. With this premise, Orphan Yuu is a kind, loving person who will take care of many they hold dear to their heart. They can cook and clean, a perfect house husband/wife. Their strength is their kindness.
When they're transported to Twisted Wonderland, their first thought is "is my family going to be okay?" Similar to Poor Kid Yuu, Orphan Yuu is one who will do anything to get back home, but they're conflicted. After many overblot, they realized that maybe these kids need a friend who will take care of them. So, they become their safe shelter, opening Ramshackle's door for the weary souls.
Orphan Yuu understand Idia's grief and Malleus' fear. They might be the only one willing to be on Malleus side, even during overblot, but will try to save him as well. They adores Ortho and scolds Idia for his "not so big brother actions". They dote over Grim and is furious to the point of nearly punching Idia when he was taken, only to be stopped by Rook and Epel. "I don't want to lose him too," Orphan Yuu said and Idia gets it.
While there's no preferable gender, I'm leaning toward male for this one, mostly because I really like the kind big brother archetype. And come on, we need at least one very pure guy in this school of villains.
The next one is the classic Sick and Dying Yuu but let's just call it Ill Yuu.
Tumblr media
This is actually kinda tricky so I'll keep it short. Mostly because this is also connected to the world-building of Twisted Wonderland. We know that Riddle's mom is a doctor, but can she cure an otherworld common cold? This can open a chance for exploration in in-universe healthcare. But, let's just say, they're no cure for whatever illness Ill Yuu and, as previously said, they're dying. Thus, I can see Ill Yuu as someone who cherishes every second of their life. They want to do everything they can before they die, especially in this other world. They're kind to others because they want to be remembered dearly. They never use their illness as an excuse for every inconvenience but takes full responsibility for their wrong action, making them a very admirable kid.
Ill Yuu might be more effective for Diasomnia Arc, but I don't know if we combine it with Lilia losing his magic, it'll be too repetitive for the plot. For Idia, maybe he can see Ill Yuu and think back to Ortho and his sudden death. Maybe Idia can help in granting Yuu's wishes and make sure Ortho become close to them because nobody should leave the world without anybody holding their hand and whispering "goodbye". Idia won't go through a painful loss again. At least this time, he can prepare in losing a friend. The grief can come later.
No preferable gender for this one.
Now the last two types are even trickier to pull off and can honestly make or break a story.
The third Yuu for this is Apathetic Yuu.
Tumblr media
Now this is actually pretty tricky to pull. There are many 'calm, cool, and collected' anime characters, we even have some in TWST in the form of Silver and Malleus. When I say it's tricky because I don't really want a badass Yuu. I want a Yuu who has a straight face. No witty comment, no secretly a genius, no manipulative attitude. They're just there, existing but without any emotion. Apathetic Yuu is struggling in finding their feeling again that once died. No hobbies, no interest (or maybe they have a special interest but they don't look like they're smiling). It's like they're an empty shell who is somehow still alive.
So, why put this type in a story where family love is strong? Well, like Former Bully Yuu and CC Yuu, this can be Apathetic Yuu's journey in emotional growth. Seeing how Idia and Malleus are willing to do everything to keep their family alive might stir something in them. Maybe the moment when Grim was taken and Ace and Deuce got hurt was the first time Apathetic Yuu ever widened their eyes in shock. At first, maybe they felt scared by this sudden emotion, but with reassurance from Lilia, since he's the most mature, Apathetic Yuu learns more. I don't have any preferable gender for this type since we can pull blank-stare characters in anime.
The last one is actually a type I'm actually excited about. I'll be calling it Desconstruction Otome View Yuu or Otome Yuu for short.
Tumblr media
Okay. Hear me out.
You know about the whole "many people think that TWST is an otome game" and we often joke how "characters forget that they're not in an otome game"? Let's take all of those and put them in Otome Yuu.
This Yuu is ecstatic to be in Twisted Wonderland, especially for the hot boys. For every interaction they have with the boys, they take it as a romantic gesture. They're sighing and blushing. They're treating this as an otome game, knowing all the strategies and sweet actions. Heck, maybe make them an otaku, but I doubt Idia dares to get close to someone as forward as Otome Yuu. But really, they're just very naive and innocent. They mean no harm but can come off as annoying.
So, where does the deconstruction happens? Well, I can only see this work in Diasomnia. With Malleus being the poster boy, thus the main "love interest", Otome Yuu pursued him the hardest. It'll depend on Malleus whether he's comfortable or not. And when the a quarter way has passed, Otome Yuu (and maybe Malleus) think that love might solve their problem. So, they kiss...but nothing happens. Malleus is not cured of whatever crisis he's having. Lilia is not no longer dying. Everything is still a mess. And that's when Otome Yuu's rose color glasses started to slip off.
Like Former Bully Yuu, CC Yuu, and Apathetic Yuu, Otome Yuu has a chance to grow. To learn to read the situation and don't just carelessly see this as a romance game. Not everything can be solved through the power of love. I feel like they might get into an identity crisis and have heavy self-reflection. Looking back to many of their- interactions with the other boys and point out whether they are times when the boys are uncomfortable with them. Otome Yuu started to respect them, not as romanceable characters or potential boyfriends but as actual people who have a life outside of them. They become humble, more understanding, and less naive. And when Malleus goes overblot, Otome Yuu is there not to save him as the climax in their romance route, but as a friend who is ready to risk their life for him.
That's the deconstruction. The otome route is my biggest fear when Yuuka arrives. But at least at first glance, she doesn't seem to be someone who is overly romantic. So, if we ever have an MC who is very romantic, I kinda want to see them not getting the boy of the chapter. Again, TWST is not an otome game, so why are we treating it as one?
This Yuu has to be 100% female. While I don't mind male Yuu and taking the hopelessly romantic gay route, but as I said, this is a deconstruction of the otome genre, thus I'm leaning toward the female Yuu. But also, I really want to see a male-female friendship that doesn't end with romance.
.
.
.
Conclusion:
Like many, I have a wish list of what I kinda want for future Yuu in the manga adaptation. A lot of you probably won't agree with this list, but that's the point of a wish list. It is something I kinda want to see, but I'm not sad if they don't come true. I'll be looking forward to Yuuken, Yuuka, and any future Yuu in the next installments. Remember, all Yuu matters.

Hello! This is the Traffic Light OT3 asker again. Thank you for the latest post you posted and made for Ayin, Carmen and Benjamin!
If you're okay with it and aren't tired of my requests, to continue with the OT3 ask before.
May I ask some fluff headcanons with Ayin, Carmen and Benjamin getting married then raising Enoch, Lisa and Angela as siblings in a no death, happy domestic life scenario?
The Traffic Light Trio gettig married and adopting Enoch and Lisa and building Angela would be very cute indeed.
Of course there gotta be an au where nothing bad happens
Spoilers btw
Happy little family
•that was Carmen's idea. Im just gonna say it right away. That idea got into her head as soon as Lisa and Enoch got saved from Sweepers
•Benjamin loved this idea but Ayin had second thoughts because of their job. Its not exactly easy to manage an entire facility with possibly-world-ending-danger-level monsters that can go wild should they not be satisfied AND raise a family
•Benjamin encouraged Ayin to stop working 24/7 and have some time dedicated to rest and family
•the dang idiot instead translated it into "make a robot to look after your facility when you cant" and boom. Angela was built
•okay it didnt go as goofy as i make it sound, but Ayin did create Angela. Carmen was an inspiration to her design, but naming was hard. He didnt feel like names he picked fit the robot
•other 2 found out about it and, while disappointed that Ayin cant just sit still and rest for once in his god damn life, decided to help him out. Ayin settled for "Angela"
•she was supposed to learn how to manage facility, but it turned out that Angela barely knew basic management skills. She was closer to a curious teen then a smart woman
•Enoch didnt mind having an older sister but Lisa got pouty. Because little kid wanted more attention (siblings will understand lol)
•Benjamin and Carmen encouraged Ayin to spend time with 3 kids, they can run a facility without him. Not to mention how there were some other close friends of theirs to help out: Elijah, Gabriel, Michelle, Giovanni, Kali and Daniel
•que Ayin awkwardly trying to be a normal dad montage. He is trying his best okay?
•Angela learns things quicker and thus asks her father (Ayin) to teach her more. Ayin is a good teacher when he puts his mind into it
•these 2 + Carmen and Benjamin will later have a serious talk regarding the future of Lobotomy Corporation, Ayin's unhealthy schedule and Angela's start of work
•Angela is at first scared of the responsibility, because it is alot. It scares her to be responsible if someone were to get into accident. But, well... That is what her father was doing alot. And uncle Benjamin with mother (Carmen) do worry about dad...
•she decides, even if with shaky beginning, to ask Ayin how to run the facility. Dad always looked tired after a particularly stressful day while she and her siblings played carelessly. Angela hopes to make Ayin's work more bearable
•somewhere Garion is looking amused with how things turn out in Lobotomy but decided to observe longer, sipping tea
•one time Lisa, Enoch and Angela did a group present for Ayin, Benjamin and Carmen. Ayin cried because he thought he didnt spend enough time with family to deserve it
•3 kids were just happy to be with each other. Angela steadily learnt how to manage facility even without Ayin to make sure he stays healthy

Hi, I love your blog and the space you've created on here; I'm basically a long time follower, first time asker. I know this is a silly place to ask for advice on things such as this: but I have a hard time around the holidays due to my family circumstances. This year in particular has been more difficult and lonely than the years before, and I feel especially isolated. Do you have any words of wisdom or activities you'd recommend? Even shows/books/movies that may take my mind off things for the rest of the year? Thank you so much!
hi babes, I'm glad you feel this is a safe space but I am sorry about the circumstances. the holidays aren't an easy time, nor are the long winter months and short hours of daylight. the sun has been setting before four-thirty where I am! i'm not particularly wise, and I don't want to say anything trite or patronizing -- but I understand what its like to feel isolated. or even when you're surrounded by dozens of people, & you still feel alone.
I know everyone suggests it, but weather depending try and find a woods you know/love and go for a walk. look for animal tracks in the snow or mud, listen to the chirping of birds. look at the towering trees that have been there for decades before us, and may be there for decades after -- slumbering giants that provide us w the air we breathe. if you don't want to be left with your thoughts, listen to an audiobook or a new album or a podcast. if your town is doing a new years celebration and you feel comfortable enough, join them. go to a museum or cafe. do something you like. bc while other people will not be there with you, they are there for the same reason you are -- you all share a common interest/joy.
as for recommendations, I listen to a lot of radio! KEXP seattle is my favorite independent station, and every few hours the DJ and genre change. I've been listening to the black tapes (a spooky and fictional podcast full of mystery). the yeah yeah yeahs came out with a new album this year, or take a listen to the black pumas (one of my current favorite bands).
for tv and film I usually stick to comedy in the winter so here is a few off the top of my head: BBC ghosts, the umbrella academy, what we do in the shadows tv or movie (the spinoff wellington paranormal is easy watching as well), psych, sex lives of college girls, resident alien & people of earth for scifi. buffy or angel. futurama. teenage bounty hunters. if you like reality my favorite guilty pleasure show is below deck. I am a sucker for anything 90s/80s/early 2000s (the goonies, ferris beuller, men in black, back to the future, but i'm a cheerleader, saved!, the lost boys, freaky Friday, a knights tale). also a little known secret -- I love rom coms, like 13 going on 30 or how to lose a guy in 10 days or crazy rich asians or not another teen movie
If you end up watching/listening to anything or would like more recs, or just need to reach out, my inbox and dms are always open for everyone

howly fuck that took long, uh
Hello! It is the mun!! After like.. way too fuckin’ long, they have returned! Your king has not abandoned you! Mun has found their password again- okay let’s just drop the mun 3rd person talk, this is serious.
So, where to begin.
I thought I lost this account for good after so many horrible things started happening at once. Breakups, familial death, mentally draining and abusive relationships, grooming, the WORKS, practically everything bad to happen to a young teen happened, but i kept on the down low so the blog could thrive. And it worked, I guess but I had a breaking point. And thus, 7 months ago the blog was left to collect dust without explanation. After a while, I wanted to come back, but..
yeah, i forgot my password.
In the end though, I suppose it was worth it, not having the choice to come back early. Without Tumblr I was able to focus on me for once. Improve, branch out, all the jazz normal artists do without the creepy creeps breathing down my neck 24/7 about what I should draw and how I should draw it. (You can’t really escape those anywhere, but holy HELL they were BOUNTIFUL in my time on tumblr) It was nice being away from some of the less than pleasant acquaintances I made and just.. starting fresh again. Off this damn app. Off social media period.
I guess you could say it was what I needed, to be away for a while. Maybe i should have stayed gone. But- in the end, I felt bad leaving everything behind. All of you askers, mostly. It was probably the right thing to do to get away from the app in general at the time, but..
Kitsune, Astronaut, Ghost, Screamer, and let us not forget the man, the myth, the anon, SkateBoard Anon, the thought of you all brought me back one last time. I couldn’t just rightfully leave you in the dark on my status. I mean, some of you thought I died, how could I just let you think that?? Anyways,
You guys built me up to be someone I could’ve never imagined being. I felt like I was someone when I came on this app, which is something I hadn’t felt in years. And even if my stories were bad, and I didn’t really have any clear end in sight, and there were several blogs before this one that I dragged you all through, i had fun with this. My silly little time on this app. I had an absolute blast doing it all with you guys by my side. This was my first taste of internet fame, and it was the best kind of fame a dummy like me could’ve asked for. A small app fame where the community i had felt like friends and family rather than strangers on the internet.
I want to thank you all for sticking through the ramblings and doodles of a sad, young teen and turn it into something a slightly less sad, older teen can look back on fondly. And if you’re still here after all of this, you are absolutely nutty, and thank you for caring so much about the artist.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be continuing the ask blog. It was fun while it lasted, but I think I wrecked this train the second i kept going after Millennial Tree Cookie was saved that one time. Slice of life should’ve stayed slice of life, really.
I’ll leave any other socials I own below in case you still want to follow the works of this ol geezer. I have to warn you, I haven’t gotten much better at the social media thing. And if not, then this is farewell.
This is the end of the Forest Babeys blog. I’m sorry it had to crash and burn before whatever “grand finale” I could make up was made, but I just.. can’t look at this blog the same way I used to anymore. I’ll still leave it up as always, new readers can come and go whenever they please and see the journeys we had, maybe come up with their own, better interpretations of what we made here. I leave that to you.

Hi all! The name is Tulsa and the game is roleplaying… that was cringey I know, but just ignore it okay? Okay. Anyways, I’m on the hunt for some new partners (not replacing anyone of course) that are interested in angsty, romantic and, of course, dramatic plots. In said plots I’d prefer to play the F in M/F pairings, it’s just what I’m most comfortable with : ). Aside from that though, I am 24 which means all of my partners NEED to be 18+, there is no wiggle room on this. Please don't lie and say you're of age if you're not, it's dangerous.
We can discuss rules, limits and triggers privately if we decide to move forward, however there is one rule I’ll let you know of now since it puts some people off. I don’t double. I will gladly play multiple side characters, however I will not do one pairing in exchange for another (you playing my love interest and us doing a separate plot where I play yours). I find it hard to focus and they never end up fair in my experience. I hope that makes sense lol.
Right now I’m specifically on the hunt for three fandoms/pairings: Criminal Minds, Stranger Things & Teen Wolf.
In CM I’d be looking for someone to play Spencer Reid opposite of my character, Olivia Chandler. Olivia is a Gale Weathers type if you know Scream at all, but FAR less of a bitch. I think there’s a lot of longevity for this pair as Olivia is afraid of commitment whereas I see Spencer just hesitant when it comes to romance at all, especially if we set this after Maeve. There’s a lot to her backstory that I think could make for an interesting twist a little further along, but we could do different cases and such and it would be fun! As all of my characters do, Olivia has her own backstory written up and available upon request.
While I haven’t watched S4 of ST yet, I know most of what happens, but this plot would take place more of s2-s3 and maybe in an AU space s4. I’d be playing an original character, Nancy and Mike’s troubled cousin from New York, and would want to pair her alongside Billy Hargrove. I think they’re ‘fuck this small town’ attitudes would work well along with other things.
As for Teen Wolf, I’d love for someone to play Derek Hale against my canon-divergent version of Paige Krasikeva. For those who don’t remember, Paige was teenage Derek’s girlfriend who was scratched by an alpha and Derek had to kill himself. In my version, Derek thinks he killed her but Peter brought her back to life and sent her off with her parents who moved. Now she’s back in season 3A as an adult music teacher at the high school with no memories of Derek or werewolves.
If any of this sounds interesting, let me know!
like & asker will contact you !

Tragedy Exploitation and Characters of Colour
hi! i've browsed your blog for a while now and it's been really helpful to me, so first off, thank you. i was wondering about something tho, i recently saw your response to a person explaining their story idea that revolved around two lovers, where one was cursed to kill the other and the other was always resurrected only for it to repeat, and i believe the characters were POC. in your response you seemed quite upset that such a plot was happening to POC characters specifically and it confused me because it sort of read as if you were mad that a bad thing was happening to a POC character in a story, which i genuinely didn't understand (i really don't want to sound rude, i'm being sincere), because it came off as advocating for only good and happy and nice things to be reserved for POC characters and if an author dared write something bad or traumatic happening to a POC character it's immediately 'poor narrative', and i personally don't agree with that take, because i feel like that reduces a POC character to just being POC instead of a person, which I feel like hurts POC rep in fiction, because being upset someone wrote something bad happening to a POC character makes it all about just that character being POC instead of just a regular person something bad has happened to in the story that just happens to be a person of color at the same time. my god this has gotten long, i got very interested in hearing more about this because i personally didn't quite understand and it sounded wrong to me, your original response. if you do reply to this, thank you, i hope i didn't sound rude, i do genuinely want to learn, because even tho i typed all this out i still feel like i'm wrong about this & missed the point somewhere
Disclaimer: please do not pile onto the ask about a Black woman murdered by her lover, as the asker has realized the issues with the ask. We are presently addressing the attitude of “why can’t bad things happen to PoC?” in this comment, with the name retracted, because it’s an attitude that crops up every once and awhile.
-
You have missed our extensive backlog of posts about double standards re: PoC and white characters, wherein we describe, at length, how we are uncomfortable that PoC characters get extra bad stuff that’s treated as “organic” because our history is full of suffering, when white characters often don’t get that same thing.
like White Authors and Topics to Avoid/Tread Carefully
and Writing About PoC Trials and Tribulations
We ask that people question why they decide to automatically make someone suffering a violent constant-death-loop be a person of colour, especially multiply marginalized (Black, woman, LGBTQ+). Because there are already too many stories of characters of colour (especially multiply marginalized) suffering needlessly and oftentimes worse than the white characters for the sake of a plot.
You completely misread the heart of the reply, which was “why are you forcing Black women to suffer the worst fate imaginable (murder) in one of the most emotionally heartbreaking way imaginable (at the hands of your lover) multiple times in order to “earn her happy ending”? this is tragedy exploitation and is making a mockery of trauma”
PoC already have enough stories about us traumatized by circumstance. And while we can suffer, narratively, part of systemic racism is only telling stories of PoC when we are suffering as the sole marker of the plot. Especially when characters of colour are suffering disproportionately to lighter skinned characters.
You also missed the part where Marika said that even if it were white characters, they would be uncomfortable because constantly pulling out murder as a curse is lazy writing.
All we ask is: why did the asker decide that a woman of colour must suffer to the point of repeated murder before she can be happy? Why does she have to forgive the person who did it to her? Because that is a logic born of passive racism that tells people: women of colour, especially darker skinned/Black women, can “handle anything”. And that is a lie.
~Mod Lesya
Echoing Lesya, I’m puzzled as to how you came to the conclusion that “If an author dared to write something bad or traumatic happening to a POC character, it’s immediately a poor narrative” when I explicitly said I thought this was cheap theatrics and tragedy exploitation even if both characters were white, particularly as the ask had given me no conception of the author’s motivation in using the curse as a dramatic device. In Japanese, we jokingly use the word 中二病 (Chuunibyo) or “8th grade disease” to describe edgelord phases for teens. This is a 中二病 plot device. It’s perfectly fine for niche angst addicts on ao3, but not something I would be able to take seriously in a more substantive work aimed at a larger audience. I think it is also telling that even the original asker has commented that they independent of our answer concluded this was a poor plot choice.
Finally, with respect to your question of the usage of negative tropes like the ones mentioned in this ask (Misogynoir and Bury Your Gays), I am concerned that you do not understand the motive for this blog. Our purpose is to provide instruction to those who wish to use diversity in their writing in an inclusive manner in ways that resonate with marginalized populations. We are not proposing a ban on tropes. They are tools, but like all tools, they have appropriate forms of use. Do you honestly think that many BIPOC individuals would be happy to read a story with this kind of tragedy exploitation? And how would you, as an author, factor in their impressions when writing your own works?
No one can stop a writer from pursuing the narratives they wish to pursue, but the opinions a writer is primarily concerned with says a lot about who a writer believes their work is for. Let us say I were to write a story with a gratuitous depiction of sexual assault purely for the shock value, despite never having experienced sexual assault myself? How might survivors of sexual assault regard both me and my work? Now imagine BIPOC individuals whose main experience with representation in media is seeing characters look like them die from the kinds of violence that are common for them to experience, and it should become clear that an author who adopts these approaches, at a bare minimum, is being exceptionally tactless. A writer who finds no issue with tragedy exploitation involving BIPOC characters is likely not a writer who cares about what the BIPOC members of their audience think, or, even worse, does not even factor BIPOC perspectives into their writing.
- Marika

(I cut this in half because it got long, sorry) Unrelated to the previous askers, but they got me thinking; another huge difference between 12 Leo and Rise Leo is that, with the possible exception of Rise Raph, nobody seems to think Rise Leo can do it/pull stuff off, and therefore both he and they are reluctant to utilise plans where he tells them what to do. R Leo clearly has faith in his brothers, shown in multiple episodes such as Many Unhappy Returns and the paper thieves episode, but they don't extend that same faith to him, such as in the same episodes where they're constantly doubting his plans. They're willing to go along with his ideas (Paper Thieves, Minotaur Maze) but they have little confidence in him regardless of this (although MM and the NY Daves episodes showcase why this might be.) Leo cannot take full leadership because they simply cannot have faith that his plan will work, and that in itself undermines Leo's own confidence; he knows he can do it, but he also knows that they all doubt him ('None of you have any faith in me, why?' To Splinter in MUR) and so he simply can't just say his plan, he has to guide it and make it look like something else (I.e. Raph's plan)
(I know this is long; feel free to answer them separately or just ignore them altogether.)
Tumblr media
I’d definitely agree on that, though I think that’s largely because Rise Leo never really gave them a reason to trust his plans yet, whereas 2012 Leo has. I think that’s part of being the oldest - 2012 Leo ALWAYS, even as a young kid, took up the protective responsible leadership role, so Splinter knew from the beginning that he would one day be the leader. Rise Leo, on the other hand, is a younger sibling. He never had that and really has been hiding behind Rise Raph for him to be the responsible one since Day 1. Rise Leo complains that they don’t extend him any trust but... he really has been playing the role of an immature teen who doesn’t have any plans of his own since he throws them off towards Raph.
I think that’s largely due to his own insecurities, but it’s just showing how even his own actions can hurt him. I’d DEFINITELY agree that a major weakness of Rise Leo vs 2012 Leo is whether or not his siblings trust him, but I think that also comes down to the Rise Brothers not having too much of a reason to trust anyone’s plans except (usually) Raph’s.

Headcanons of the team's weird eating habits, por favor. We all know Wally is just.....Wally. But let's hear about the others!
Okay but I actually love this tho. Also sorry for the slowness, finals seasons is eating my soul.
Slight t/w for eating disorders, I've marked it with "sad HC"
Okay so I'm genuinely SO CONFUSED on whether Atlanteans can eat fish or not
Like, La'gaan likes crab cakes...but in the Teen Titans cartoon, Garth is outraged by the concept of fish tacos
@DC what is your canon Atlantean lore
So I'm operating under the assumption that Kaldur is just a vegetarian
This fancy lad is always the one to remind the team to eat healthily, hydrate, stalks up on snacks for the bioship, etc.
But he's THE WORST at forgetting to eat
Absolutely does that thing where he'll put off eating as a "reward" when he's in the middle of something
Then Artemis or Conner have to come along and put a damn salad in front of him because ITS BEEN SIX HOURS WHAT ARE YOU DOING
Since Dick was raised by Bruce, everyone assumes he likes bougie food. This would be very wrong.
He was raised by carnies! And I've heard that some ppl who grew up in circuses don't necessarily eat very full means all that often, and moreso snack throughout the day when they get the chance. And with him and Bruce being so busy, it's not like they have a lot of time for regular sit-down meals once he's adopted.
So thus lad only really eats big, sit-down meals when it's a family occasion.
Also it's canon that this boy cannot cook to save his life
As the asker said, we already know about Wally. He eats a lot, he's messy, his favourite food is "everything", etc.
But personal headcanon time: he hates sugary drinks
Like pop, milkshakes, juice, etc. Is fine in small amounts but in reality...he really just prefers water.
Especially carbonated stuff, since he's always running around and stuff he finds that it gives him a stomach-ache
Have we actually ever seen Conner eat anything? I don't think we have
Is kind of confused by most foods. Like, he knows other people enjoy it, and he likes M'gann being happy when she cooks and loves what she makes for him, but he just doesn't get the hype
Fancy foods (like baked Alaska, filet mignon, casseroles, etc.) Really confuses him
He's getting nutrients, why does it have to be such a thing?
It gets better when he gets older, but M'gann still occasionally finds him just eating one of those pre-packaged salad bags like a bag of chips sometimes because "what do you mean I have to put in in a bowl? Why?"
We already know M'gann is the only person on this team that would willingly/regularly cook and be good at it
But funny headcanon I have: Martains don't taste the same as humans
It's canon that Martains love sweets (so you know she has her secret stash of Oreos) but like...what if that's because the only thing they can taste is sugar?
Everything else has dicernable astes, but it's very faded and different from human taste buds. So her first few meals that are cooked from scratch are...not great (way too salty, etc.)
This is why she sticks to the recipe, and secretly gets help whenever it says "season to taste"
I know I just talked about M'gann's cooking
But like
Artemis is definitely the best cook on the team
She practically raised herself (I don't see Sportsmaster or Jade looking up recipes); and whenever her mother was actually home, Paula would 100% teach Artemis how to cook proper Vietnamese dishes. So you know she got that flavour skill.
Doesn't like cooking very often however, as (similar to Dick) she's learned to mostly rely on small meals throughout the day, especially once she started superheroing
But the first time she cooked phō for the team...oh boy. That was definitely the moment Wally fell in love with her.
Sad h/c!!! Be warned!
For a long while after Wally's death, Artemis stopped eating
Mostly because she was depressed, but also because for the longest time she couldn't step foot in a grocery store or her own kitchen, cook/prep food, anything without thinking of Wally and breaking down
So she returned from a long, difficult, physically demanding mission...and then inadvertently starving herself. So needless to say, her body wasn't happy
This was part of the reason Roy ended up moving in (among everything else), because he knew what it was like to stop taking care of yourself, saw it in Artemis, and (with a little provoking from Paula) he knew that having someone there to help would help relieve some of the pressure
He never pressured her, never said anything about it. Lord knows she was probably getting enough of that from her mom. But every evening for a while, Artemis would get a knock on her door and open it to find a bowl of warm soup waiting for her
Sorry if I spent too long on Arty, I just got in the feels

Techno asker here! I have missed today's stream... Thank you so much for that plug though, it was a great read! I got to learn a new word too - asymptote.
English isn't my first language, and I covet more of the secret words it holds yet hidden from my grubby little gremlin hands.
Now I'm really looking forward to reading more of your Willbour and steal from his vocabulary. Perhaps, if you are up for it, when we see him coming to terms with his newly re-invigorated self and the memories that brings with it? Perhaps when he is on the hermitcraft server? Perhaps?
(Mammon is my sin..)
dude i’m gonna be real with you, your english is like 10 times better than most native speakers. you use cool words like “covet”, and your syntax is unique, but in a correct way?? who the hell granted you the right to be so smart
-------
Wilbur revives in the hot dog van. He isn’t sure what he does and does not remember.
All at once, it hits him. He sees flashes behind his eyelids, flashes of pushing the button, of making Techno and Tommy fight in a pit why did he do that, of the Final Control Room. He clutches his chest-- he’s wearing his yellow sweater again.
He hears his name being called by three different voices: two English, one American. They know what he did, they’re coming for him--
“He’s in the van!”
Wilbur looks around desperately for a place to run. He’s got no tools to dig and hide with, can’t leave the van or he’ll be seen. The door opens.
It’s Dream. Eleven and a half stacks of TNT.
“Hey, hey,” Dream says with a hint of a smile. “Calm yourself, have a carrot.”
He tosses Wilbur a handful of carrots. They fall on the floor and roll away. Wilbur pulls himself into a kneeling position. (When had he fallen down?)
“I want to be alone right now,” he says.
“No, you don’t,” Dream responds.
Wilbur bangs his fist on the floor, ever one for dramatics. His hair falls wildly in his eyes and Dream is uncomfortably reminded of Wilbur’s dishevelled-bad-boy look, as Dream had privately called it when Wilbur was leading Pogtopia. Now, Dream recognizes the look as pure instability, spilling over into the man’s physical appearance.
“Don’t hurt yourself,” Dream says for a lack of anything else to say.
Wilbur seems to take Dream’s discomfort and quietness as a cue to spill everything in his mind. He’s hysterical, like an over-full blender running without its top on.
"My death was just and everyone rejoiced. I’ll-- I’ll do it again, you know. If you keep reviving me, I’ll go insane again and again, and hurt people and destroy because it’s all I do! It’s what I was made for, Dream! If you care about this server you’ll kick me out and leave me to rot all alone in some singleplayer world. Everything I touch turns to ash. They’re all better off without me.”
Dream crosses his arms. “Have you already forgotten why you asked me to revive you in the first place? I thought the whole point of all this is that you’d stop forgetting things. Like your brother.”
“Ah,” Wilbur flinches. “He’d... I’d only hurt him more. Drag him into my schemes, once I inevitably lose sight of my morality again.”
“So you won’t even try?” Dream scoffs.
“Like you care about Tommy,” Wilbur spits, suddenly acerbic. “I remember his death now-- or rather, the moment we believed he was dead. I saw the tower he was meant to have jumped off of, I remember the way he looked at the lava ocean. You did that to him.”
Dream cringes. Leave it to Wilbur to pinpoint his nightmares and speak them aloud. The van’s door slams open, and in marches Tommy, followed closely by Tubbo.
“Tommy--” Wilbur blanches. There’s no way that the two teens didn’t hear at least part of what he’s just said.
Tommy sticks out his hand to Wilbur, who stares at it blankly. Tommy shakes his hand in front of Wilbur’s face. Ah. Now he understands. Wilbur takes the hand in his own and allows his little brother to haul him to his feet.
Wilbur stiffens when arms wrap around him. Unbidden fat tears roll down his face. He glues his eyes to the ceiling in an attempt to stop crying.
“...Why?” he asks. “I’m evil, Tommy. Why are you doing this?”
“You’re not evil.”
Wilbur chokes on the lump in his throat. “It’s-- it’s my fault. Everything. My baby brother died... Why don’t you blame me?”
“Well, that’s a bit selfish of you,” Tubbo says lightheartedly. “Hoarding all the blame for yourself. I’m the one who exiled him. Dream’s the one who told me to do it, even if there was some possession fuckery going on,” he nods to Dream. “Technoblade’s the one who summoned two withers. No one’s free of guilt here. Deal with it.”
They all fall silent.
“Oh, does this mean that Wilbur’s getting a Hermitcraft-therapy-house-building-vacation now?”
Wilbur, Tubbo, and Tommy all turn to stare at Dream.
“What?” the man in question demands sheepishly. “Tommy got one, I got one. I assumed Wilbur was next.”
Wilbur starts laughing. It’s contagious; they all laugh with a tinge of unnamed emotion and just can’t stop, even though it wasn’t that funny.
“I think I’ll stay here for a while,” Wilbur finally says. “I need to stop running away from the things I’ve done.”
Tubbo puts his hand on Wilbur’s shoulder. The president of L’Manberg is two-thirds of Wilbur’s age and nearly a foot shorter. The gesture is comforting nonetheless.

(Piggybacking off of this cute picture of Thor wearing hair clips)
I genuinely love the idea of Thor not just ignoring gender stereotypes on earth (or rather, Western society) but actively breaking gender norms because, as he puts it, 'Midgardians are so stuck up.'
So he puts cute hairclips in, he wears pinks and pastels, if asked about his taste in women he looks the question-asker dead in the eyes and says, "You think I am only attracted to women? How embarrassing." And he knows EXACTLY what he's doing when he says that.
And he's this big beefy guy who looks like he should be cast as the highschool jock but instead he's wearing dresses and makeup and tells everyone about the romcom that made him cry and just being so authentically himself. Not only is he the protector of lesbians (a role he takes VERY seriously) but he will tell anyone and everyone that he will defend the queer community to his dying breath.
And the image of him declaring this with a booming voice and lighting sparking from his fingertips, his cape billowing in the wind ("How is it windy?? We're indoors") is amazing in itself but then he looks into the crowd and says, "Young maiden, I simply must know where you obtained those shoes."
(One teen asks him timidly what his pronouns are and he beams and says, "Although gender is not really a concept on Asgard I do not mind the pronouns he/him, but they/them also suits.")
The chad, alpha male, red-pill assholes are SO CONFLICTED because Thor is the epitome of Male Perfection to them but he refuses to adhere to their toxic masculinity bullshit. So they try to say he's not an alpha and shit but then he lifts a oil tanker up and knocks a massive alien spark out in one punch and every time they try to say he's not a man they're dunked on endlessly.
(It doesn't help them that Steve soon starts wearing prettier colours and talks about Bucky Bear as his comfort plushie, then Tony is putting mascara on and Clint wears booty shorts and cute ankle boots when walking his dog, and Bruce starts to paint his nails which Hulk LOVES and requests colours all the time. Meanwhile Natasha is now wearing suits exclusively when she's out and about.)
It's just so joyful to think the strongest people on the planet are fucking with gender.
