Your relationship with your boyfriend is hanging on by a very thin thread, and everything is a good excuse to not go back to your cold bed - and that’s how you find yourself in a situation that you will soon regret. This story takes place before Eren discovered he was a Titan shifter, before Wall Maria was retaken, even before it was broken. The veterans usually make fun of the cadets for being bratty teenagers, but were they any better?

I can’t tell where the journey will end But I know where to start
Prequel to my Kid Buggy fic, set about 11-ish years before that story.
Buggy meets you by chance when he needs his buttons sewn back onto his jacket. He’s young, up and coming, and he thinks everyone should cower before him wherever he goes, but all you do is smile at him.
Rating: PG-13ish just for some swearing. Warning: Buggy’s in his early 20s. I also gave him some anxiety and stuff because while he's in love he doesn't believe someone could love him back. He just has a lot of uncertainty with romance. A/N: I think this is going to end around chapter 20. I'm working on 18 right now. There will be one shots, however. Sunny and Buggy aren't over, just the main story.
Title comes from “Wake Me Up” by Avicii.

Chapter 14
“You have everything?”
“Yes, Miss Pins.”
“You know, you can come back if you ever need to.”
“I know, thank you.”
Miss Pins shot a glare in Buggy's direction. He was waiting by the door and straightened up when he caught her glaring at him. He crossed his arms and glared back.
“If I catch wind of you mistreating her, I will bring hell down upon you, Buggy.” Miss Pins warned. Buggy rolled his eyes but couldn't help but feel a bit unsettled by the intensity of the old woman's glare. “Do you understand? If you even so much as make her cry I will find out.”
“I would never!” Buggy shot back.
“I'll be fine, Miss Pins.” You insisted. “Really.” You looked over at Buggy with a smile, and when he saw that he relaxed just a bit as he started blushing. “You know he's not like any other pirate you've met.”
“That's definitely true.” She agreed. Buggy frowned at that, wondering if that was meant to be insulting.
“Listen here you old-”
“Buggy! We should get going, yea?” You said as you gave your boss a hug. “We're heading to my parents for the reunion. I haven't written to tell them the news.”
“Oh, so you're going to surprise them with… him.” Miss Pins said as she pulled back from the hug, gesturing to Buggy. “Well, it will definitely be a surprise.”
“Yea! A wonderful surprise.” You said as you looked back at Buggy. “They're going to love him.”
Miss Pins didn't say anything else, just crossed her arms as she glared at Buggy. She was happy for you, of course, but why Buggy over every other man? What on earth did you see in him that made you start to fall in love and agree to marry him? She couldn't understand.
Benji was up in his room moping, having already said his goodbyes. If he came downstairs and saw Buggy there’d be no telling what he would end up saying to him. He didn't want you to leave, he wanted you to stay forever, but that wasn't possible.
You went to grab your things but Buggy grabbed them first, shooting a glare at your boss while you opened the door for him. You gave her one last wave before you stepped out of the shop one last time.
~
It was going to be an adjustment for the two of you. Buggy wanted to treat you like a Queen, feeling you should do nothing and just relax all day. You, on the other hand, already cleaned his room, organized his wardrobe to make room for your things, and already knew where everything was in the kitchen to the point you knew what was on hand before the cook did. All within a week of living on the ship.
He couldn't understand why you didn't want to just rest and relax for a while.
You started a mending basket for the crew as well, telling them to put things in there that needed any fixing. That shocked Buggy. You were not a member of the crew, you were going to be his wife and you shouldn't be working at all for him.
You also unearthed those photos that he showed you while drunk on his birthday.
“You said his name was Shanks, right?” You said after the first week while you made him dinner. The cook was fine to let you cook Buggy's meals now, it was one less person to worry about. Buggy had just taken a large swallow of his drink before choking at your question. He managed to spit it out, coughing and sputtering before looking at you, wiping his mouth on the back of his hand. You pulled a picture from your pocket and set it on the table.
“Where did you find that?!” He demanded as he grabbed it and stuffed it in his own pocket. “You don't need to see that!”
“But you were so cute as a kid, Buggy!” You insisted as you checked on the potatoes that were boiling on the stove. “And you mentioned that you and him were on a ship together once, and I'm curious what ship it was.”
He narrowed his eyes in suspicion as he took a cautious drink. Buggy wasn't sure if he wanted to talk about it, but he was in love with you, it was kind of fair that he tells you somethings about himself (when he's sober), so he sighed and finished off his drink, slamming the empty bottle on the table. You replaced it with a fresh one within seconds and his eyes widened slightly as he looked up at you lovingly.
“Okay, what do you want to know?”
“Just the ship name, honey.” You chuckled as you kissed him on the forehead.
“Fine.” He mumbled. He opened the bottle and took a sip before responding. “I was an apprentice on the Oro Jackson.”
“Really?!” You looked impressed by that and Buggy straightened up in his chair a bit, grinning up at you as he tipped the bottle back, swallowing some drink before setting the bottle down on the table.
“I was an apprentice under Captain Roger.” He continued. For as flashy as he could be, talking about his past wasn't something he was keen on doing, but the way you were looking at him spurned him on. “For a while, until the crew was disbanded and he was caught.”
“That's amazing, Buggy!” You said, smiling brightly. “No wonder you're an amazing pirate, you worked under the King of the Pirates himself!”
His cheeks burned at your compliment and he looked up at you with a frown. There was never any ill intent with your questions and curiosity when it came to him, but he couldn't help but feel a bit guarded. You lowered the heat on the potatoes before checking on the meat that was roasting. Buggy kept his eyes on you as he took another drink of rum.
“Why didja wanna know the ship’s name?” He asked. You looked over at him, confused by his question. “Why didja wanna know about Shanks?”
“Because you showed me those pictures on your birthday.” You reminded him as you checked on the potatoes next. “And you said the two of you were best friends as kids, so I got curious about you when you were younger.”
Buggy looked away from you, gripping the beer bottle tightly. “Don't ask about him.”
“Buggy-”
“Don't.” He hissed, tone catching you off guard. You paused for a moment, considering your next actions carefully, before you walked over to him and touched his shoulder gently. He turned his head and looked up at you before straightening up in his chair to wrap his arms around your middle. You put your hands on his shoulders and sighed softly.
“I won't ask again, Buggy.” You assured him. “I'm sorry I upset you.”
He shook his head, mumbling against your stomach as he hid his face against it. This had become his favorite way to hug you, sitting down so you stood over him, rubbing his shoulders or his back, sometimes running your fingers through his hair. His favorite place was being in your arms in some way, and since moving onto the ship and into his bed he made sure he falls asleep and wakes up in your arms each morning and you've yet to turn him down.
~
It took a few weeks to get to your parents. As the ship drew nearer, you became more excited about seeing your family again and introducing Buggy to them. The size of your family was quite intimidating but you assured him he just needed to meet your parents and that no one else mattered.
And while you were excited, he was nervous, though he tried not to show it. What if your parents refused to let you marry him? What if they didn't think he was good enough, or thought he was a joke? You had mentioned your mother had served under Red Leg Zeff while she was a pirate, so was she going to be judging him and his own successes? Would your dad like him or would he think Buggy should pack his bags and move on?
And as the island came into view and you squealed in excitement upon seeing it, Buggy tried not to fall apart right then. He waited until you were getting ready for bed the night before you were going to arrive and when he told you how he was feeling, he thought you would tell him to suck it up, deal with it, he was meeting your parents and that he needed to be on his best behavior or else you wouldn't marry him.
Why did he always think the worst with you? Because no sooner that he finished freaking out, your arms were around him and holding him tightly to you, letting him slump against you as he tried to take a deep breath.
“Just be yourself, Buggy.” You told him as you kissed his cheek. “My parents will love you.”
“But what if-”
“I'm sorry you're stressing over this, honey, but my mom isn't going to judge you, if anything if you tell her you knew Gold Roger she'll be impressed.” You assured him as you tightened your arms around him. “And you do not have to get their blessing to marry me.”
“You sure?” He mumbled, tilting his head up to look at you. You nodded, smiling softly as you gave him a kiss.
“Promise.” You said. “You say I'm nice and that's why you fell in love with me, well, my parents are just as nice, Buggy, so please don't worry.” You put your hand on his cheek caressing softly before leaning down to bump your forehead against this gently. “If it becomes too much at any time, we can leave.”
Buggy frowned. You would leave your family reunion for him? Why? You talked about it almost non-stop since getting on his ship and he knew how much it meant to you, he couldn't ruin it. He needed to get it together. Why was he so nervous anyways? He could meet your family, impress them with tales of adventures on the sea; he was a pirate after all while your mom was retired from the life. Surely she'd be impressed.
He cocked his head to the side and grinned. “Nah, babe, don't worry about me. I can handle it.”
You looked at him with a smile, reaching up to twirl a lock of his hair around your finger. He was so cute sometimes. You wanted him to have an out if he needed too, because even you got a little overwhelmed by the size of the family, especially with you being the eldest cousin. Buggy had no idea what was in store for him once the ship arrived.
“I know you can, honey, but I just want you to know I'm okay if either of us need a break.” It was hard to stop playing with his hair sometimes. Since you had first asked him to keep it down the day after his birthday, he often would whenever he was around you, though he kept it under a bandana while he was out on deck to keep it from blowing in his face during the day. Right now, as you were about to get into bed, he had it down which meant you wouldn't stop touching it. “You're very sweet, you know that? Thank you for coming with me for this. I'm so lucky to have you, Buggy.”
He turned as red as his nose, avoiding eye contact as you showered him with praise. He wasn't sure if he'd ever be used to it. You gave him a kiss after each compliment, calling him sweet, lovely, handsome and he thought he was going to die from the over abundance of love you were showing him right then.
To him, he was the lucky one to have found someone like you who cared so much for him.

Love for Duty’s Sake Part 5
AN: Hello loves! Wow when I tell y’all I was FIGHTING in the editing room with this fic because I couldn’t tell if I should split this in half or not. I ended up just keeping it as one because I felt bad for ignoring democracy (sorry lyric) and posting Anything But Love P2 before I posted this one. A couple of fun facts about this fic because I literally have nowhere else to put them lmfao. In the convo with Griot, the reason Y/N’s argument works on him is because it follows a valid rule within arguments/logic called Hypothetical Syllogism. Basically, If A leads to B and B leads to C then you can correctly assume that A should also lead to C. Google it if you’re interested! Also, in writing Shuri’s interactions (esp the “in my wife's name” parts) it's like very heavily inspired by the way Dracula talks about Lisa Tepes in the Castlevania show!!
Holy fuck don’t know how I could ever forget this. As always, any of my fake dating stuff is dedicated to the lovely @pinkwright. This is my writer bae y’all have no idea, L4DS and ABL posts are always made with them in mind.
Summary: As the only daughter of Genelia, there were things you just had to do, and marrying the Queen of Wakanda was one of those things.
Pairing: Shuri x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Cussing, violence, brief mentions of bad relationships with parents that’s it I think.
Word count: 6,213 (you see why I was thinking about splitting it up now??)
Part 1.  Part 2.  Part 3.  Part 4.  Masterlist.  Taglist.
Suggested listening: Glock Six (Bonus) - 6LACK
“No need to state the obvi', I be close to your heart I know you looking for real love I got my hand on my Glock, posted on the block I might just let off a shot, at anyone tryin' to kill her”
The feeling of your body sliding off of your wife and onto the hospital pillow below you was the first hint that something was off. You knew Shuri didn’t mean to be so rough with you, even if you hadn’t been injured. She just hopped off of the bed quicker than her mind could remember that you were laying back on her. Only when you grimaced slightly did Shuri think enough to look back at you.
“Ndicela uxolo sthandwa sam (I’m sorry my love).” She muttered to you softly, scanning your body just long enough to ensure that you weren’t really hurt before turning her attention to Aneka. “When was this posted?”
“Ten minutes ago.”
Shuri took a deep inhale, rereading the post. “How did she even know about the shooting to post?”
The question was impossible for Aneka to answer, knowing something like that wasn’t necessarily in her job description. You, however? You were used to political moves like this. “She knows because the shooting happened in her city Shuri.”
“What?” Shuri turned to face you.
“I’m just saying, if something goes down in the Golden City, you’re made aware right? The same thing goes for DC. Especially on a day like today, foreign powers come into town. I’m sure she was all over it.” As you spoke, wheels started turning in your head, the scenario surrounding the events of your shooting. Everything was almost too perfect like it had been orchestrated.
“Listen to what you just said Y/N, I’m notified when something happens in the Golden City, not you. So why would she be the one posting about this instead of the President?” Shuri’s tone was harsher than you would have liked, posing the question to you as if you were a child misunderstanding basic math.
You sat up in your bed. “Because President Carter isn’t leading the show, Mallory is.”
“Why would you say that?”
“Because I know it’s true.” You folded your arms across your chest, starting to get annoyed at Shuri’s refusal to see what was clearly right in front of her. “Do you not trust me?”
The question was loaded and the Queen’s response came instinctually, “The question is not if I trust you, we are married of course I trust you. But you make it increasingly harder to trust you when you put forth ideas like that.” Shuri mimicked your position, crossing her arms over herself.
Her response stung and the look on your face made Shuri regret saying it immediately. “I did not mean-”
You cut Shuri off, not wanting to hear what she had to say. “Nope. You said it. What do I know anyway? Not like I come from a family of politicians who would make this exact same move given the chance.” You turned your attention from where Shuri and Aneka stood back to the tv, effectively disengaging from the conversation.
Warning signals were going off in Shuri’s head and she knew she fucked up. Taking one more look at the screen she made her way back over to your bed. Kneeling next to you and taking your hand in hers. “I am sorry, sthandwa sam. (my love) I didn't mean to brush off your idea like that.  Your attention still faced forward but the Queen could feel the race in your heart rate when her thumb traced over the lines of your knuckles.
The silent treatment you were giving Shuri was frustrating her, if she had just slowed down as Okoye said, she would've thought about what she was saying before she said it. “I promise I will make it up to you-”
The buzz of Shuri’s kimoyo beads pulled her attention away from you and her apology.
Speak of the devil and she shall appear.
It was a message from Okoye letting her know that they had all made it back safely to Wakanda and that Liam Drockers was in the lower-level interrogation rooms. Aneka must’ve gotten a similar message from Ayo because when she made eye contact with Shuri, she gave her a knowing nod as she left the room.
“I will make this up to you… when I am free again.” The end of the sentence tumbled slowly out of Shuri’s mouth, knowing it was going to garner a reaction from you.
“What?” Instead of your voice sounding angry like the Queen had expected, it almost sounded more hurt or scared. This new tone pulled at Shuri’s heartstrings. “You’re leaving?”
While yes, you were literally just ignoring Shuri ten seconds ago, you hadn’t expected her to just up and leave like that. Especially given how physically close you two had spent the last hour, part of you had grown attached to her in a way you never imagined possible. Addicted to the safe feeling that only seemed to come when you were in her arms.
“I have some council business I have to take care of.” Her rubbing of your hands still hadn’t stopped, tracing every detail of your knuckles.
You looked at her now, teeth biting at your bottom lip. “What do you have that’s so important?”
“Just some time-sensitive stuff I need to handle. It should be quick, I don’t imagine it will be long.” Her eyes were averted, so you had no read on what possible clues they could be conveying. Something about this bothered you, normally she was so demanding of your eye contact and now she wasn’t even looking up. But you knew Shuri, whatever this was she wasn’t going to give up easily. You needed something to garner her attention first before you asked her what you needed to know.
“I think I’m gonna call home.” Shuri’s eyes instantly flashed up to yours.
“Really?”
“I think so, I don’t want my family worrying about me, you know? I don’t want them thinking I’m dead or anything. Now that Mallory has so kindly let the world know about this.”
Shuri hummed in response, debating asking the question at the forefront of her mind. “I thought- I mean, I didn’t know you had a way of contacting them.”
This made you feel a little bit guilty since you had made it seem like you’d given Genelia up for good. “It's a direct line to my father's advisor, only for emergency purposes.” Your eyes flickered around her face. “I’ve never used it, I didn’t think I’d have to.”
Shuri felt assured in hearing this, the slight worry that had slipped into her mind about you secretly planning to leave her dissipated. “Oh, okay.” She savored these last few minutes of her hand tracing yours, knowing that soon those same hands who held yours so delicately would be used in the complete opposite manner.
“Shuri?” The way you called her name was soft, the same way you had in the restaurant before all of this had happened. It made her feel warm inside, lowering her guard just as you intended.
Her response once again was just a hum, her eyes studying every detail of your face the way her hands did yours.
“You wouldn’t lie to me right?” Your question caught her off guard but her rubbing never stopped.
“Kakade hayi, sithandwa sam. (Of course, not my love)” Her eyes conveyed no sign of lying so you continued.
“So it’s really council business that's so pressing you have to take care of it right now? Not anything to do with me?” You asked the question confidently, not taking your eyes off Shuri, searching for a tell. Anyone else would have missed it but you didn’t, the brief second when Shuri’s movements faltered. When her hand stopped rubbing yours.
“Yes.”
“Yes, what?”
She stood up now, letting go of your hand. Being at eye level with you was too much right now, it felt too connected given the fact that she was literally lying to your face. “Yes, it’s council business like I told you before. Very time sensitive.” Before you could respond she spoke again. “Aneka!”
The Dora appeared in the door frame with lightning speed, “Yes, ngangamsha (your majesty)?”
“Guard Y/N’s side of the ward while I deal with this business, make sure no harm comes to her.” Shuri’s words were confident and her arms now crossed her chest signifying her demeanor change.
“Shuri, I don't need a babysitter, I’m fine.” You protested. “Plus Aneka has yet to see Ayo, let them see each other.”
“I am fine, my Queen. Thank you for your kindness but ensuring your safety is more important.” Aneka responded quickly, earning a nod of agreement from Shuri.
Your wife looked down at her kimoyo beads. “I’ll be back in an hour, mfazi (wife).” Placing a kiss on your forehead, she looked down at you one more time before she left. “No trouble while I’m gone?”
“I’ll try my hardest.” You replied as she walked out of the room, Aneka behind her taking her spot guarding your room.
This left you alone with your thoughts and while a million things were running around your mind there were two prominent thoughts. One being, your wife was lying to you.
You couldn't be a hundred percent sure about exactly what she was lying about but you knew it had something to do with you. While you wanted to snoop around and try and figure it out, the second of the thoughts found its way to the forefront of your mind. Having to call you family.
Looking around you found your physical phone, the one that Shuri still referred to as ‘primitive technology’. Scrolling until you found the contact you didn’t think you’d ever have to press. Saying a prayer you pressed call and hoped for the best.
The line rang only one time before the person picked up. “This isn’t some sick joke, you’re really calling me?”
“Marcos, I told you I’d only call you in an emergency. I wouldn't play a joke like this.”
You could hear him recite a prayer on the other end of the line. “Everyones worried sick about you Y/N, I mean your parents think you’re…” His voice trailed off and it made your heart hurt thinking about the stress this whole situation inadvertently caused your family.
“I know, I know, that’s why I called. Can you just tell them that I’m alright? It’s nothing to worry about and I’ll be fine?”
Marcos contemplated your words, “Y/N, your father will kill me if he finds out I spoke to you without giving him the opportunity.”
The sound of movement from the other end of the line had you concerned. “Marcos wait, you know I don’t want to speak to them.” It was a useless plea and you knew it. As much as Marcos cared about you like you were his own daughter and wished to protect you as such. At the end of the day, he worked for your father.
“I’m sorry mon papillon (my butterfly)” The term of endearment did little to quell the feeling of betrayal as Marcos moved to give the phone to your father.
“Whoever it is Marcos, tell them they will need to call later, I am grieving my daughter.”
“It is about Y/N, sir.”
Your father looked between his advisor and the phone before picking it up.
“Yes?” This was the first time you had heard your father's voice in years. It had become too painful to go back and watch old home videos from before Yara’s death so part of you wondered if you’d forgotten what he sounded like. But as soon as his deep voice bellowed through the phone, you remembered.
“Dad? It’s me.” You were scared to speak the words at first, questioning how he would react.
“Y/N, is that you? Oh my god! Josiah, get your mother from the chapel, our baby is alive!” The outcry from your father made your heart hurt, had he been that concerned?
“Dad-” You tried to speak but his rambling cut you off.
“When we saw the news honey we were so worried about you, I thought you had died. But you didn’t! God brought you back!”
“Dad-”
“He’s bringing you back home to us!” He ended his rejoicing when you finally spoke up.
“Babba! What are you talking about?” Your pain medication must have been making you delirious and mishear things.
“What do you mean Y/N, this is a sign! You were almost taken from Genelia, from us. We need to come together and give thanks that you’re still with us.” Your father's words were confusing you, why was he saying that you were taken from them as if they weren't the same ones to send you away?
“I’m not coming home Dad, I was just calling to let everyone know I was okay-”
“Nonsense!” Your mother spoke now, you weren't aware when she arrived in the room. “You must come home, we miss you. This was a wake-up call, don’t you think?”
You paused now and took a deep breath. What they were asking was encroaching on a boundary you had set the day you left Genelia. To never come back. “I just, I don’t think it’s a good idea guys.”
It was now your parent's turn to pause while they thought about what they could say to change your mind. But it wasn’t them that spoke, instead it was a different voice. One that clearly held the tonal characteristics of a man but was still slightly squeaky signifying they hadn’t fully finished maturing.
“So you’re just never gonna come back? Is that it then?” If it wasn’t for your father's words earlier you wouldn’t have even been able to guess who it was. But of course, it was your little shadow who spoke up now. Josiah.
“Siah-”
“No, you don’t get to call me that anymore. My sister, who loved me and didn’t just get up and abandon her family for a fancy new life in France, called me that. I don’t know who you are.”
Josiah’s words cut through you like the sharpest blade known to man, cutting deeper than any slick comment from Shuri. Is that really what he thought happened? That you left your family behind to go chase your dreams in a foreign country?
You didn’t care about your parents, quite frankly fuck them. Any emotional ties you felt towards them had long left you, so saying no to them while it was hard; it didn’t hurt. Saying no to Josiah though? Hearing the disappointment in his voice? He didn’t deserve this. To be caught in the crosshairs of the relationship between you and your parents.
“Fine!”
“Fine?” Your mother and father's voice asked in unison.
“Fine, I will come back to Genelia to visit.”
“Tomorrow?” Josiah’s voice questioned.
“Tomorrow? Siah I just got shot.” You tried to reason with your brother, and while you didn’t feel any of the effects of the shooting at this exact moment you still didn’t know if traveling so soon would be wise. Plus you still needed to explain this all to Shuri.
“You’re married to the smartest woman in the world and live in the most technologically advanced country. I’m sure they can figure something out.” Josiah left no room for argument in his sentence.
“Fine Siah, I will come to Genelia for a few days, flying in tomorrow. Happy?” You didn’t even understand why you were agreeing to this.
“Not in the slightest, I have no idea who you are anymore. I did that for Mom and Dad.”
That hurt more than Josiah knew. You tried to tell yourself that he didn’t mean it, but something in you couldn't believe it.
“Okay well, I’ve got to go. I’ll um talk to Marcos about arrival times and everything.” You needed this phone call done, the gravity of what you had just agreed to started to weigh on you.
“Parfait! We can’t wait to see you soon Y/N. We love you!” You could hear the smile in your father's voice and felt guilt not only that you didn’t feel the same happiness but that you couldn’t reciprocate his “I love you” truthfully.
“Yeah I um, I’ll see you guys soon.” With that you ended the call, throwing your head back against the pillow.
As you sat in silence you digested what had just happened.
1. You called Marcos, just to let him know that you were alive.
2. You ended up on a phone call with your parents, speaking to them for the first time in years.
3. After declining to come to Genelia, you were guilt-tripped into returning by your little brother. Not because he wanted to see you but because he knew his parents wanted to.
All of this made your head reel and you longed for the peace and comfort that your wife provided. But she wasn’t here with you, her wife who had just been shot. Instead, she was dealing with council business.
“Griot.”
“Ah your majesty, I am glad you are in good health again. What can I do for you?”
You paused wondering if Griot was even able to give you this information. “Where is Shuri right now?”
“Shuri has programmed me to not disclose her location to anyone unless it is an emergency, I am sorry your majesty.”
Of course Shuri had done so, always wanting to keep tabs on everyone but not thinking anyone else needed to keep them on her. You wanted to give up before an idea popped into your head. “Griot, Shuri programmed me into your system as a Queen, correct?”
“Yes your majesty, she has programmed you with the same clearance as she has.”
Jackpot.
“And Shuri has access to her location status I would assume?”
“Yes, your majesty.”
“Great, so she has access to her location status, and I have the same clearance level as her/  You can give me her location.” Your reasoning was solid, creating a logical path that the AI could follow.
“Yes, your majesty, that does appear to be correct. One moment please.”Success. “Queen Shuri is in the basement, interrogation room one.”
“Interrogation room one?” You asked Griot again, you didn’t even know the palace had a single interrogation room, let alone multiple.
“Yes, the Queen has been in that room since she left you in the hospital wing.”
So she had been lying to you.
“Thank you, Griot, that will be all.”
There was no doubt in your mind that this had something to do with your shooting and that Shuri thought she was doing good by you by keeping you away from all of it. Trying to shield you from more pain. But that wasn’t what you asked for, it was what she decided you needed.
You touched your abdomen, trying to gauge your pain level. As Josiah had said, you were in the most technologically advanced country so truly your recovery wouldn’t take more than a few days. Right now, you felt good enough to hobble out of bed and make it out of your room.
Shuri wanted to lie to you? Fine. But you were going to go down to the basement to figure out exactly what she was up to.
You made it no more than five feet out of your room before a body in front of you haltered your progress.
“What are you doing out of bed ngangamsha (your majesty)? You should be resting.” Aneka’s concerned look surprised you. While you knew it was her job to protect you, you saw a twinge of genuine concern in her eyes.
“She lied to me Aneka.” You took a step to the side and then forward so she was no longer in your path. The dull twinge of pain let you know that this might be more difficult than your first few steps had made it appear, nonetheless you were going to make the journey.
“Intoni? (What?)”
“Shuri lied to me. She told me she had council business to take care of, but she didn’t. She’s downstairs in the basement right now. So I’m going down there to see what could be so important that she felt the need to lie to me.” You continued your walk towards the elevator pleasantly surprised that Aneka didn’t appear to try and stop you.
You took a few more steps before suddenly something pressed against the back of both of your knees, causing you to lose your balance. Falling back right into… a chair? Aneka stood above you, her hands on the handle of the wheelchair that she had just gently gotten you into. “I am not condoning you doing this, however, I know I can not stop you.”
You nodded, grateful to hear that.
“But,” Of course there was something. “I will not let you rip your stitches hobbling down there.”
A smile passed across your face and a similar one came to Ankea’s.
“Plus, I can talk to you while we make our way down there. I should fill you in, it is for the best.” Aneka pushed you forward as she began to explain just who was awaiting you in the basement.
While you two made your way down, Shuri, Ayo, Okoye, and your assailant were deep into their interrogation session.
To Shuri’s credit, she tried to be diplomatic about the whole situation. When she first walked into the room and saw Liam Drockers sitting down with Ayo and Okoye on either side of him, she imagined what her brother would say to her.
“Patience sisi.” He would say. “Regardless of what he has done, he is deserving of a fair questioning, the same as you and me.”
And she tried to take T’Challa’s advice, asking Liam simple questions at first.
“Are you an employee of Judas’s Ice Cream shop?”
No response.
“Are you working for the United States government?”
No response.
“Were you aware the person you shot was the Queen of Wakanda, Y/N Y/L/N Udaku?”
A small smile creeped up on Liam’s face after she finished speaking, but still, he said nothing. This infuriated her and she was about ready to cast this whole morally right thing to the side and get the information she needed through more direct means.
But then her mother's voice came into her head. “Do not let him remove you from yourself intomba (daughter).”
The Queen calmed herself, “I asked you a question. Were you aware the person you shot was  Y/N Y/L/N Udaku, the Queen of Wakanda?”
While Liam's eyes had largely remained on the floor he pulled them up to her now, showing off the bored look they held. “I didn’t miss, did I?”
Shuri’s heartbeat increased, so he knew what he was doing. This was a planned attack on her wife? He knew who she was and still chose to take the shot?
“You still thinkin’ bout showin this fool mercy?” No. That was the one voice she didn’t want to listen to.
Okoye saw the look and Shuri’s eyes and when their gaze finally met, a wave of concern washed over her. She was losing Shuri to this.
Okoye’s suggestion for a break is what brought them outside, Shuri pacing up and down the hallway trying to decide how to move forward.
“Is it really that hard of a decision little cuz?”
“Shut up.” She spoke out loud. Ayo looked over to Okoye wondering if they should step in but Okoye shook her head, hoping that whoever Shuri was speaking to would provide the young girl some clarity.
“I’m just saying what you’re really thinking here. I mean he shot ya wife, you really cool with letting that slide?”
“I am not ‘letting it slide’, I’m going about it the diplomatic way N’Jadaka. Something I know you know nothing about.”
Erik laughed at that “Aww shit little panther got some bite to her huh? But you’re right I don’t know shit about the diplomatic way, what I do know however is how to get results, quickly. It’s cool though, give this mother fucker the time and respect he didn’t give to your wife. I’m sure that’s smart.”
His last comment drew Shuri over the edge. Done with the conversation and confident in her decision, she made her way back over to the door where Ayo and Okoye awaited her. She knew the decision she had come to was harsh but the only thing on her mind was ensuring your safety and getting to the bottom of this.
“If you do not want to stay for the next part of the interrogation, I am not ordering either of you too. This is the time now to back out of this, without any blood on your hands.” She thought for a moment about how literal her figure of speech was about to become. “Ngokunzulu (Seriously).”
Okoye looked Shuri up and down. It was in moments like these that she no longer saw the young girl she had watched grow up over the past ten years. The youthful glow had faded over and now left Shuri with a hard exterior that seemed to be ever-present. “Are you sure this is what you want to do ikumkani wam (my queen)?” Okoye offered this out to Shuri now, one shot to think clearly about her decision.
“A hundred percent.” Was Shuri’s simple reply.
That’s how they ended up here, Ayo holding Liam’s cuffed arms behind his back while Shuri issued blow after blow to his abdomen, turning him effectively into a human punching bag.
“You done with the games now Liam?” A punch landed on his stomach. “Are you ready to say something and give me the information I need to know?”
The whole ordeal hurt Okoye to watch but she understood why Shuri had shifted to such drastic means, it was only out of necessity.
Liam gathered his breath as Shuri removed the jacket she’d been wearing, leaving her in a compression shirt. “No words Liam, really?” She cracked her knuckles and delivered two more blows, one after the other. “That’s okay I’m sure soon enough you will.”
He shifted in Ayo’s arms for a few seconds for spitting the blood that had pooled in his mouth down at Shuris feet, giving her a defiant stare.
A smirk rose to Shuri’s face as she looked at the few drops of blood that had gotten on her sneakers. “You know Liam, I had been holding back in the name of my wife. I’ll tell you a secret since, quite frankly, the likelihood of you making it out of Wakanda to repeat this is slim to none. I don’t know much about my wife, we do not have the most conventional marriage so the real things I can say I know about her are few and far in between. But what I do know about my lovely Y/N, she hates violence and views it as the very last play in the book. Convinced me not to kill a spider once just because she said it wasn’t necessary.”
Shuri smiled at the silly memory of you cussing her out at home when she tried to kill a spider instead of releasing it outside.
“So, in her name, I haven't been using any of my enhanced strength. This,” She points to the purple bruises that had started to form on the skin of his stomach. “It's all me. But, since you want to be disrespectful and spit blood on my shoes, we’re giving all that up.” Quicker than anyone in the room could have seen, Shuri put her hands up and delivered a devastatingly strong blow to his stomach. Providing enough force that even Ayo had to take a step back to steady herself and absorb some of the shock of the blow.
You watched in horror from the other side of the glass in the interrogation room as Liam doubled over in pain, gasping for air. Aneka and yourself had been in the room just long enough to watch him spit blood on your wife's shoes.
“Now, we’re going to try this again.” Shuri started with the same line of questions from before. “Are you working for the United States government?”
Once Liam pulled himself together, he gave the Queen no answer, just continuing his stare of contempt.
Shuri chuckled, “Again then? Okay.” She let out another punch, Ayo being more prepared this time held Liam’s body tight.
“She’s gonna kill him Aneka.” You spoke quietly from the wheelchair as you watched the whole ordeal take place. “We can’t let her kill him, that’s not her.”
Aneka nodded, “But there is nothing we can do right now my Queen. Ayo and Okoye are in there with her, they will not let it go too far.”
“I need to get in there.” Shuri wasn’t going to listen to Ayo or Okoye, you didn’t even know if she was going to listen to you. But as far as you were concerned this had already gone far enough. You started moving your wheelchair towards the door but Aneka stopped you.
“Your majesty I cannot let you in there, bringing you down here was a breach of protocol enough. To have you in there would just be a blatant disregard for the Queen’s wishes.” Aneka declared.
Both of your attention was brought back to Shuri and Liam when she hit him in the same spot again, leading him to cough up more blood.
“You go in there and bring my wife out to me or I go in there and bring her out myself. Two choices, you pick.” You folded your arms like a child, waiting for Aneka’s response.
She looked into the interrogation room and back to you. “Bast you two are perfect for each other. Stubborn just alike.”
With that she left you, walking out and knocking before entering the other room.
“ikumkani wam,” She interjected, pulling Shuri’s attention from the man and onto the Dora.
“What is it Aneka, I am busy.” Shuri looked at her impatiently.
“uY/n ulapha kwaye angathanda ukuthetha nawe (Y/N is here and would like to talk to you).” Aneka switched to their mother tongue so Liam couldn’t understand what they were saying.
Shuri’s face faltered for a second. You were here? How long had you been watching? How much had you seen? “I am in the middle of an inter-”
The sound of you banging on the wall to indicate you didn’t care what she was doing cut Shuri off. She looked at Liam before speaking to Ayo and Okoye. “Put him down, I will be back shortly.” In a second Shuri was out of the room and opening the door to the other side of the interrogation room, meeting your icy gaze.
“What are you doing out of bed sithandwa sam (my love)?” Shuri’s concern was real, raking her eyes over your body.
“You lied to me.” You weren't wasting time tip-toeing around the subject,
“I was protecting you.” Shuri’s justification came quickly, as she took a step closer to you. The light illuminated her face better now and you were able to see the small spots of blood that had splattered on her face.
Against your better judgment, you called her closer to you “Come here.” She obliged kneeling so you two were at eye level, mimicking the position you two had been in this morning. You reached to hold her face in your hand, wiping the small dots of blood away with your thumb. “You lied to me,” You said again looking into her eyes.
“I was trying to-” Shuri tried again to explain this to you but you cut her off with a gentle tap to her lips with your free hand.
“I know you were trying to protect me Shuri, but I am your wife. You can’t lie to me.” The look in your eyes conveyed the seriousness of your comments.
The excuses started to form in Shuri’s mouth but she stopped them. “I- I know and I’m sorry. I should have told you what I was doing.” She let her head rest in your hand and averted her eyes down, fiddling with the material from your hospital gown.
“Yes, you should have.” While your words were harsh, the tone and way you caressed her face let her know you weren't really mad with her.
“Let me make this right umfazi (wife).” Shuri declared sitting up so she looked you in the eyes once again. “The man, his name is Liam Drockers he-”
“I already know Shuri.” You smiled at your wife who looked at you cluelessly. “Aneka filled me in on our way down here, I know everything. I want to speak with him.”
Shuri pulled out of your grasp now, appalled you would even ask something like that. “Absolutely not Y/N, there is no logical reason to risk your life by putting you in there with him.”
“First there is no risk to my life, not only is he handcuffed but Ayo and Okoye will be in there with us. Second Shuri, you owe me. This has everything to do with me and you tried to keep it from me, I deserve at least one chance to speak with him. Alone.” You were confident in your rebuttal, Shuri tried to find a counterargument for every point you made but she couldn't.
“Five minutes with Okoye, Ayo, and Aneka inside with you.” Shuri brought her demands to the table and you thought about it for a second. Was she seriously that worried for your safety that she thought you needed three Dora’s in there with you and a restrained and beaten man?
“Deal.”
With that Shuri wheeled you out of the viewing area and to the interrogation room. Aneka held the door open and your wife pushed you through the entryway, stopping at the frame per your request.
“Oh yeah and pack a bag, we’re going to Genelia tomorrow.” You shut the door leaving your very confused wife on the other side. You two were going where?
In front of you sat a very bruised Liam Drockers, Ayo, and Okoye on his sides You always found it so funny how no matter how big or bad someone seemed, at the end of the day they were made of flesh and bones just like you.
Wheeling up to the table you sat and stared at your attacker for a moment. Trying to search for something you were never going to find, a reason or justification.
“Alright, Liam I’m going to make this very easy for you.” You interlaced your fingers and let them sit on the table, this is where you shined. “In the other room, my wife is waiting with bated breath for me to tell her it's okay to come in here and continue to beat the living shit out of you. Now me personally, as you heard before, I’m not a fan of violence. I think it's an unnecessary evil of the world, something we really can function without.” You paused letting out a chuckle. “Not that I think that you believe the same,” You gestured down to your stomach. “You clearly favor my wife when it comes to that way of thinking.”
Liam's eyes moved all over you, attempting to size you up as a threat.
“So, now that you know that much about me, let me tell you how this is going to work. Either A. we can make this super simple, you answer every question I have and agree to the plan we have in place. Or, I call my wife back in here and she beats you to a pulp.”
A wheezing breath came from your attacker and you couldn’t help but notice how weak he looked now, the beating from Shuri having done a good chunk of damage. “I’m not sayin shit, I know my rights.”
You smiled at this, leaning closer to him. “Your rights? You think your rights will protect you here?” The look on Liam’s face changed for a split second, his facade slipping. “You’re in the basement interrogation room of the most technologically advanced country in the world because you shot one of their Queens. You were flown in on a top-secret jet, there's no record of you ever even being in Wakanda. Nobody knows you’re here.”
“That’s- that’s not true.” Liam stammered out. “There are people out there who know who I am, who are looking for me.”
This got the heartiest laugh from you yet. “Mallory? Really? You think she’d save you?” The idea he was pushing was almost comical. “You were a gun for hire, you served your purpose and now there's nothing left for you to do, you were disposable from the beginning. Do you seriously believe she’d risk a national incident to save one measly hit man?”
The truthfulness of your words hit Liam like a ton of bricks, there was no getting out of this.
“So,” You began. “I’ll ask the question my wife has been trying to ask. What the fuck was your mission and who do you report to.”
Liam shifted in his chair, looking around the room as he assessed his situation. “It all started with Mallory.”

Eagerly awaiting Spare 2: The Chamber Pot of Secrets
Now that the media furore has died down a bit and we've all had time to think, what can we say about the Spare?
Well, first of all, I'd say Harry has been set up.
Again.
And he's too dim to see it, because he's being told (by someone in particular and probably a few other hangers-on as well) that "his truth" is important. And he believes it. Harry's "truth" has been filtered by money-grubbing bottom-feeders, and now H prefers to believe that "their truth" is "his truth"; that they love him more than anyone else; and they know what's best for him.
So:
(1) Harry can't distinguish his truth from reality. We've known this for a while, but so many new *facts* coming out... it's really taking the pee-pee. "Harry's Truth" isn't the same as facts. A fact is a piece of information that can be proven to be true; it stands up to rigorous scrutiny, especially by rigorous professional fact-checkers, who quickly noted that bit about the XBox, of which I freely admit I know nothing, but even I managed to check it out on the internet in about ten seconds. Did nobody fact-check Spare? Oooh, apparently not. Why not? And King Henry VI... And the Queen Mum's death... and the rest of it. Which leads us on to:
(2) Harry took (and is possibly still taking) Class A drugs and assorted forms of happy-juice, even to the point of stoking himself up on the wife's gas as she prepared for labour, which is despicable. He's such a feminist he took her meds for her!!! A**hole. I gave birth three times (homebirths, without meds; Princess Madafu wasn't around at the time so I did the painful "manly" work of squeezing babies out of my bum all by myself...) and I just want to deck Harold for interfering with his wife's meds. But drug use messes up your brain, Harry. So do grubby compliant therapists, by the way, who are rubbing their hands in glee at all the $$$ you hand over - they're on to a good deal and it's not in their financial interests to sort you out by Month 6 of Therapy when they can trick you into Year 6 of Therapy... or Year 16... or Year 26...
(3) He's envious of William and Catherine. This shines through. His older brother married the love of his life, a woman who has devoted herself to her man and the RF and between them they've produced three gorgeous well-grounded little ones and a firm base on which to take the RF forward. The Prince and Princess of Wales have learned from the mistakes of the unfortunate previous generation of royals, whereas Harry is now an "Oh dear" in the footnotes of the monarchy. And this leads us on to:
(4) Harry has no respect for Charles and Camilla. The Queen Consort is and always has been Charles's lighthouse and security from the storms of public life. Charles should never have been pushed into marrying the naive teenager Diana, but that's how it was back then - that's how history works! Charles was expected to marry a blushing virgin bride he hardly knew. Harry, aren't you glad you were allowed to marry a several-times-up-the-maypole divorcee? You learn from history, right, so that you don't repeat the same mistakes. Of course that involves being aware of history, which Harold isn't; he's only aware of how time healed his frostbitten todger and saved it for someone who could use it to her advantage. Over-sharing, Harry! Please shut up! Nobody wants to know! And then there's:
(5) Harry has no respect for the British Public. Or the Commonwealth. Or the army. Even enemy soldiers have families; mothers, fathers, wives, children - they are not chess pieces to be removed. Personal remembrance: my Gt-grandma's brother was KIA in 1916; my Gt-grandad served in the same war but never spoke about it; my Grandad served in WW2, never spoke about it - he showed me his medals, once. Once. Once only. The only things I remember him saying about the war were the "safe" bits - that he spent some of it in Canada training Canadian troops and got to see Niagara Falls, and mailed all his chocolate rations back to his wife and infant son. My late brother in law served in the Coldstream Guards, never spoke a word about how many men he'd had to shoot; he took all that to his early and leg-amputated death. What happens in the army stays in the army, Harold; it's not for personal validation.
(6) He hates the British Media. Supposedly because his mother was killed by paps (in France; not British paps) when the world knows she died because she wasn't wearing a seat-belt in a car that crashed at speed driven by a DUI driver. Oh and he also hates the British Media because Meghan is Diana.2 and... wait, what? No she isn't. She wants him to believe she's Diana.2. If it's not drugs doing his head in it's Megadiana. How many paps have tried to run Catherine off the road in a tunnel in Paris? How many paps have tried to take topless pictures of her - ooh, there was one, but it wasn't in Britain, I'm pretty sure it was in France and the magazine was sued for it, so not in Britain then. Not British Media. Not British paps. And let's not forget that Diana was more than capable of manipulating the pap shoots she wanted... remind you of anybody?
(7) He still has mummy issues, decades later. This is just not normal for a grown man. I'm sure Harry loathes being compared to his brother but what the heck, I'm going for it! Two young boys, both suffering from the untimely loss of their mother. Yet William doesn't have mummy issues, or at least if he does he doesn't hang them out to dry for a voracious public airing. It's no good saying that Harry is more sensitive, he's not - he just hasn't grown up, and those around him are keeping him trapped in the net of mummy issues instead of allowing him to mature into the adult he should be; he's not the man he thinks he has become. And I still keep coming back to why, so let's move on to:
(8) His therapy isn't working and he needs a proper psych evaluation. The people he thinks are helping him just aren't. They are milking him for the cash cow that he has become. The RF and whatever PR they use appear to have done everything to protect Young Harry from this, right down to convincing us that he was a high-spirited Jack-the-Lad, fond of a little tipple but devoted to his country and the army veterans he served alongside. Take away the RF and the carefully scrutinising PR machine, and he is ripe for the plucking. And boy, is he being plucked. Every last feather.
Now this next one is a bother:
(9) He can't see his own hypocrisy, has zero empathy for anyone, and cannot see how "his truth" - his own words - can damage others. Others including his own mother, his father and step-mother, his wider family, his army colleagues, the wider British public who are all a bunch of racists, apparently. Harry has a lot of short-comings. No doubt there'll be "Spare 2: The Chamber of Secrets" and he'll blame his short-comings on his frozen todger, but the lack of self-awareness is pathetic. He cannot see his own failings, refuses to take responsibility for his own actions, and blames everyone else. So what can we say? Is he really so stupid? Or is he in some sort of "Cult-Of-Himself" delusion, promulgated by his Feather Pluckers?
(10) The awful wife wears Harry's man-bits and is conspicuous by her absence, as she journals and squirrels away evidence for her divorce lawyers. Yep, I think we're all agreed on that one!
My personal opinions only, as they say in reputable circles.
Love and peace.

THEORY: Colin "Liar" Meloy of The Decemberists is a furry and possible Monsterfucker, who wants to drown.
Evidence abounds.
1. The Crane Wife: the whole album and 1, 2, or 3 of the songs are about story from Japanese folklore, about a man who rescues a crane, then marries a mysterious woman who shows up shortly afterwards, then WHOOPS SHENANIGANS HAPPEN, TURNS OUT SHE'S THE CRANE.
2. The Hazards of Love. The first song (past the instrumental prelude) is "so Margaret rode out into the woods, and found a wounded fawn, and then things got magically weird"
The next song is "so Margaret is pregnant now"
Tumblr media
3. Rusalka, Rusalka.
"so there are these river mermaid girls and they're deadly but they're also so sexy and whoops I am drowned now."
4. Leslie Anne Levine
It's their first song off their first LP, and it's about a ghost who is in love with another ghost. I'm not saying ghost-love is inherently monsterfuckery, but it's not NOT monsterfuckery.
5. Down by the Water
"The lash-flashing Leda Of Pier Nineteen"
Leda was a queen of Sparta, who was seduced by Zeus, in the form of... A swan.
Tumblr media
Our boy has a favorite species. Nothing wrong with that.
6. Yankee Bayonet
It's another ghost-love story. Here only one of them is dead, at least.
7. Margaret in Captivity
I know I've mentioned The Hazards of Love as a whole-album reference, but I just remembered that The Rake calls Margaret "my precious captive swan". WE GET IT COLIN, YOU LIKE SWANS. JUST SHOW US YOUR FURSONA ALREADY.
8. The Hazards of Love 4 (The Drowned)
William and Margaret are both dead. They're drowned, which is something of a theme. But their ghosts are in love, and marry (how does "till death do us part" work when you're already dead?). More ghost love, and in this case it's furry ghost love. Kinky.
9. Riverswim
This song references water (obviously) and drowning, and I wouldn't bring it up it except there's also the mention of a certain native American cannibalism spirit, one you should not name, and given his history with songs about monsters and spirits and animal spirits, I'm not certain he doesn't want to fuck it.
So yeah.
I'm not gonna tally up all the talk of drowning, but it is a constant theme. From "I don't mind" off their first EP back in 2001, to "Midlist Author" off their 2018 EP, drowning is never far from the mind of Colin Meloy.
You could make some joke about how it's ironic, given that he comes from the landlocked state of Montana, but we all know that's just "the popular myth". His real story is much weirder and more tragic.

Book Two of Heir of Ash and Fire
Book One of Heir of Ash and Fire
“I’m sorry, Your Grace. . . Your mother has died. . .”
His ears had become numb. White noise was all he heard, sweeping him up just as it did when the news of (y/n) had been brought to him not too long ago. He was forced to lose another important person in his life.
A deep pain made its home in Rhaegar’s chest as he reached out for something to steady him. Jon Connington had been right beside him, catching him by the arm.
Rhaegar closed his eyes, trying to collect himself. It wouldn’t do for his men to see him in this state. “What of the baby?”
The messenger who was holding onto the note that had been delivered by raven, clutches it tightly. “She lives.”
Hope. A small mustard seed of hope, but hope nonetheless. “A girl? I have a sister?”
“Yes. Rhaella named her before she passed from this world. Your sister’s name is Daenerys.”
Letting out a shaky breath, Rhaegar smiled. “Daenerys.”
Jon took it upon himself to ask the next few questions. “Is she still on Dragonstone?”
The messenger nods. “Yes Ser.”
“Does Aerys yet know of the child’s birth?”
That made the young boy paused, looking from the silver haired Rhaegar to the fiery locks of Jon. He lowers his eyes, fearing both of the great men’s gazes. “Yes. . . He has instructed that no one be allowed to dock on Dragonstone and that the young Prince Viserys and Princess Daenerys be kept there until further notice.”
Rhaegar clenches his jaw. “Glad to know my father hasn’t changed a bit. And I bet he didn’t grieve the loss of his wife?”
“That I do not know, Your Grace. It was risky enough sending along the message to you.”
He already knew that Aerys didn’t grieve the death of Rhaella. Neither of them had loved the other. It wouldn’t be such a devastating blow to Aerys as it had been to Rhaegar losing (y/n).
“It’s probably best for them to stay on Dragonstone. Safer. As long as Aerys doesn’t try and bring them to King’s Landing. They should be fine.” Rhaegar whispered more so to himself. No one could hurt his younger siblings there on the remote island. He just regretted that they were by themselves. No mother or father, not even their big brother, there to guide them. They were alone, far from any family.
Dismissing the messenger, Rhaegar sighs and sits down at his small table. Sprawled out across the wood surface was his battle plan. A map of all of Westeros with small pieces made of stone, those that were painted red were symbolic of his father’s army, the small stone dragon pieces that were white were for Rhaegar’s troops. They were scattered all throughout the map, many of the red pieces being clustered near King’s Landing and along the Kingsroad. One positive thing that Aerys actually had going for him was his paranoia. It made him act fast in setting up clusters of troops near King’s Landing and any other major road that led to it which in turn proved to make the march more difficult for Rhaegar and his men. Robert Baratheon wasn’t one to be discouraged as he boasted that he would tear down each and everyone of the men that were sent their way. Oberyn liked the storm lord’s enthusiasm as he was ready for the battles to come. Jon, Rhaegar and Arthur were of a more cautious constitution.
“I’m sorry to hear about Queen Rhaella.” Arthur whispered, taking the opposite seat. “She was a good woman.”
“Good women hardly make it in this world.” Commented Jon who was pouring himself a generous glass of wine.
“It seems like I never have time to mourn.” Rhaegar reclines, staring at the red and white that was on the table. “I’ll weep for her when the war is won. . . Are you sure these were all the troops that were planted along the Kingsroad?”
Swirling the dark liquid around, Jon nods. “According to the Spider. Who knows if we can truly trust him though.”
“We can’t. We just have to gamble that he’s an ally.” Arthur replied, playing with an extra white dragon. His fingers rolled around the tiny details, running along the spine that possessed small bumps and along the wings that were curled in.
Rhaegar heaves out a sigh, betraying how weary he was of this whole war. “We have many questionable people on our side. Oberyn believes that we must take everyone who offers us a hand.”
That made Jon chuckle snidely. “He shouldn’t talk. Accepting a marriage proposal to Cersei Lannister. . .” He shakes his head. “Beyond stupid.”
“He has a point though.” The Sword of the Morning admitted, albeit grudgingly. “The only reason Aerys still has the major lords in his hand is due to everyone fearing him and his madness. There are a great many that believe it was him that. . . that set fire to (y/n)’s room. . .” Even Jon winced at the mention of Rhaegar’s late wife. Even a year after her passing and the wound had not yet healed for their prince. It grew infected and worse by the day as he carried her death with him. They saw the damage it had done from his eyes.
Half lidded eyes look up at his friends, those he would trust with his life. They were frozen, waiting for what Rhaegar’s reaction would be. Truth be told he no longer possessed any energy to cry for her even though when he was alone at night, memories of her would dance in his mind. The feeling of how she felt pressed up against him as they slept together in the safety of his bed. . . He longed for those days.
Wetting his lips, Arthur sets down the map piece and looks away. “I’m sorry, Your Grace. I didn’t mean to bring up something so painful. . .”
He shook his head. “Please don’t apologize. Not to me.” Wanting to change the subject, Rhaegar switches his attention back to the matter at hand. “Knowing my father, he probably has men waiting for our army in the Kingswood. As easy as it would be going through there we can’t risk it. The Kingswood is no place for a full on battle. The forces from King’s Landing will know that place like the back of their hand. We have no choice but to cross through the territories of the Reach.”
“That land is rich with those who are leal to Aerys.” Warned Arthur.
“We’ll have more open space if there’s a battle.” The prince counter argued. “We have a large battalion, thanks to the newly added men from Tywin Lannister and Dornishmen that are itching for the sight of blood. It would be an utter blood bath if we were to go through the Kingswood. The Reach offers a nice open battlefield. And who knows, maybe we could win over some of the smaller lords of the Reach.”
Jon finally settles into a seat. “We can only hope so.”
Shouts and screams from outside make the three men rise from their seats, alert and poised; ready for another battle. Rhaegar, closer to the tent’s exit, pulls back the flap and gazes outside to a multitude of knights hastily putting their armor on and climbing onto their horses. Chaos weaves between tents as Jon and Arthur gaze at their army, a frenzied mess.
One knight spots Rhaegar and immediately dashes toward him. The stag of Baratheon emblazoned on his chest. “Your Grace, it’s an ambush on one of our camps.”
“Has anyone caught sight of our enemies’ sigil?” Arthur is quick to ask before the knight runs off to join the battle. Already there is the clashing of swords in the distance that echoed in the once quiet clearing that they had made their camp in.
He shakes his head before hiking his leg over his horse’s back. The war horse gallops away to the source of battle.
Young Bors is already running toward Rhaegar, cheeks ablaze from running. “I’m sorry, Your Grace. I’m sorry that I’m late.”
“Don’t waste your breath on unnecessary apologies.” Rhaegar retreats back into his tent to get ready for another battle.
The fighting was in his northernmost camp where most of the Dornish army resided. Not taking too long to join the fight, a knight wearing the sigil of House Ashford immediately swung his blade at the Silver Prince who had just dismounted his horse. Rhaegar quickly deflected the blow with his own sword, making it sing along the length of his foes’ steal and making a quick jab to the Ashford knight’s throat. He fell off to the side and in came another to claim the glory of killing the would-be king. This time it was by a knight of House Merryweather. Noble houses of the Reach, loyal to Aerys, must have already gotten word of Rhaegar’s victory at Summerhall and prepared for his move through their rich lands. Those loyal to the Mad King were scared of his army as they should be. Spread the word to his father that he was coming for the throne. Rhaegar posed an actual threat with his own troops and forces. Aerys should not take him lightly.
Amidst the battle, Rhaegar caught sight of Robert’s horned helm as he was slaughtering foes left to right with such force that Rhaegar would have mistaken him for the Warrior himself. The young Baratheon bull fought with such force and fury that it was almost terrifying. Rhaegar would not want to be the one fighting against him in combat. There was something off though in Robert’s movement. Despite him seemingly slaying the enemy with ease, he was staggering. Reach knights noticed this as well and took advantage as they swarmed in on him like a bunch of ravenous locusts. Even for Robert, it was too much for him as he was starting to drown among them. Ned was deep in his own fight as was his brother; leaving Robert completely to his own.
Gritting his teeth, Rhaegar made the journey over to the young Baratheon lord to help him. Many got in the way, each one cut down by Rhaegar’s sword. Suns, direwolves, dragons, and stags alike blurred with the banners of the opposition as the frenzied dance continued all around him. This wasn’t like Summerhall which had been an easy victory. It was complete madness. Troops of the Reach were dwindling though, unable to withstand the might of Rhaegar’s army.
Robert met Rhaegar’s gaze, blue against lavender, as Rhaegar hacked away at the throng that had clustered around Robert. The two men fought back to back, defending one another as they thinned out those of House Merryweather and Ashford. Someone knocked off Rhaegar’s helm; who, he could not say as he wasn’t paying attention to sigils anymore. Both men were focused on keeping the other alive.
Before Rhaegar could react, a knight came swinging at his face. As Rhaegar was engaged in another sword fight, he was unable to block the attack. . . * “Your hair is so pretty.” (y/n) chirps happily from behind him. Rhaegar could only chuckle as he sat patiently as the young Lannister girl braided his hair. He looked out across the water that surrounded Dragonstone. A lovely day as a nice breeze makes the grass sway gently against them. Rhaegar’s harp sat across his legs, forgotten as he continued to smile at (y/n) braiding his hair. Little fingers that were clumsy at the harp were working so diligently at braiding his hair.
“Aaaand done!” She proclaims proudly, scooching away from Rhaegar to let him assess her work.
He moves his hand behind his head to feel several thick braids meticulously weaved into his hair. “That’s incredible.” And he meant it. “Where did you learn to do that?”
(y/n) moves back so that she’s facing him. Her own pale blonde hair was pulled back into braids. A pinkish-red ribbon finished off the end of her hair. “Thalina taught me. I used to practice on her hair before Viserys stuck molasses into it. Honestly she looks better with short hair though.”
That made Rhaegar frown. So young and his little brother was already acting up. A few months ago, Rhaella had came for a visit and brought Viserys with her as he was still needing his mother. He wreaked havoc on Dragonstone, as Rhaegar read from letters that (y/n) had sent him. A ‘cute little terror’ as (y/n) had called him. Already becoming entitled, Viserys had not let any of the maesters or septas have any peace when he was there. Especially (y/n). Even though she was older and held authority, Viserys walked all over her and treated her like any other house servant. He pulled her hair, broke her belongings, threw her jewelry into the sea and even set fire to a beautiful doll that Rhaegar had gotten her for her name day. He was surprised that all (y/n) had to say about Viserys was that he was a ‘troublesome child’. Any other girl of her status would have been furious and thrown a tantrum. Not gentle hearted (y/n). She took everything in stride, reminding everyone that he was just a child and didn’t know any better. The truth was that Viserys was being spoiled by their father. Aerys was already putting ideas of entitlement into the little prince’s mind; that everything belonged to him and no one could say no to him. Rhaella could do nothing about it as Aerys always had the last word in how his children were raised.
Rhaegar watches (y/n) as she goes on to make a crown composed of the small white flowers that were strewn all over the hill. She hummed to herself happily as she did so. There was such an improvement in her demeanor that Rhaegar couldn’t help the warmth that permeated in his chest.
“Are you happy here, (y/n)?”
She turns up her soft, green eyes. “Very much! I like to play in the room where the big table is. You can see all the mountains and rivers. It helps me when the maester teaches me geography.”
“Good. I’m glad.” * Rhaegar held up the hand mirror to examine his face.
“Can you still see out of your right eye?” Jon fretted behind him.
“Truth be told, I can’t see anything. My vision is all foggy.”
Robert, mending from his own wounds, gives out a hearty chuckle. “That’s what milk of the poppy will do to you.”
Even though he couldn’t see much, Rhaegar could still make out the vicious red line that went diagonally across his face. Pieces of his silver hair had been slashed off, making the maester cut off his long hair. Apparently it wouldn’t do to have the future king with a shabby haircut. Rhaegar thought it the least of his worries as he tried to force his vision to clear.
In a more serious tone, Robert continues. “You saved my life. I’m in your debt now.”
Gingerly, Rhaegar prodes at his face. It stung only a little bit, the milk of the poppy doing it’s job in numbing the pain. A scar, it would leave a nasty scar. He remembered (y/n)’s scars that were on her back. Long and jagged, now they matched. Rhaegar could still remember running his lips and tongue over her scars, how she would twitch as his motions tickled her slightly. A giggle would escape her and he would do it again out of playfulness instead of lust. There was no sound sweeter in the world than that of (y/n)’s uncontrollable giggles.
He set down the mirror and turned his attention to Robert. “Consider the debt repaid once I have my throne.”
He wouldn’t play games with his father anymore. Aerys had done too much damage. Killing (y/n) and continuously harming the gentle Rhaella. . .
Gone was the boy who loved to play his harp to delight his little fiancee.
Rhaegar would go after him with fire and blood.

Top 5 of your original characters! 😀
Ah, where to start! This obviously tends to change a lot, so this is just a reflection of whichever idiots stand out to me at the moment! 1 + 2: Lotus and Hadriel:
Tumblr media
Lotus (left) and Hadriel (right) really examplify that black cat/golden retriever relationship dynamic. Lotus is a bit of an ice queen, left a little emotionally stunted by a tough childhood, and also a master of snark. Hadriel on the other hand is a chaotic disaster bisexual, party boy supreme and notorious manslut 😂 Lotus might think Hadriel is an obnoxious idiot, but he is HIS obnoxious idiot.
These are my go-to comfort characters, and I often fall asleep playing scenes of domestic fluff or snarky banter between them in my head. Also, Hadriel is by far my favourite character to draw, and the character I bring up the most in casual conversations. He's just FUN!
Tumblr media
Dropping this beautiful drawing you did of them here as a bonus. Look at my precious babies! 🥰 3: Sabreas
Tumblr media
Sabreas may have been born as an outlet for a past hyperfixation with the history of eunuchs (imagine the internet search history that left me with!), but he's grown into so much more than that. If nothing else, he is prime punching bag material! Life serves him a lot of genuinely horrible, tragic garbage, but he's just enough of a spoiled brat that you don't feel too bad punching down on him. Sabreas is all righteous anger and brittle pride, motivated by pure spite. He's also one of the rare characters of mine that get to have some genuinely badass magic powers, which definitely adds to his coolness factor!
Tumblr media
4. Tala
Tumblr media
Tala is a relatively new addition to the cast of characters rotating in my brain, but she's been occupying my mind a lot lately. Tala is Sabreas wife, and although their marriage began as a politically motivated arranged union, they end up developing a very beautiful partnership. Tala is a woman who knows what she wants, and she's not afraid to get it, so when she decides that what she wants is Sabreas, he really doesn't stand a chance (I think she and Relonia would get along well! ((I also think they should kiss)))😁
Tumblr media
5. Kharim
Tumblr media
The thing I love most about this guy is his dynamic with Sabreas. Sabreas really tests his patience at times, especially throughout those edgiest, brattiest late teenage years, but Kharim can't deny he gets a kick out of goading him on. At the same time, there's definitely a certain amount of respect there. While Kharim may be Sabreas's superior (and also able to physically squash him like a bug), Sabreas's powers make those power dynamics more than a little blurry, and it's a good thing they're both just honourable enough to respect the terms of their contract. Also, the danger kinda turns him on.
Tumblr media
Commission by @chotomy who captured these idiots and their dynamic perfectly! 🥰 Thank you for allowing me to ramble about my idiot children! I love them all so much! ❤

And here it is, the list of my fav Iron Widow moments! Enjoy?
As always feel free to discuss with me or share your favorite moments!!
It's below the cut bcs spoilers
- chapter 5, I figured that I could note my fav moments of this book as well XD
- starting on not the best note, I fucking hate Yang Guang, I hate him so much, I want to rip his guts out,
- chapter 8, the fight was so epic!! I love how MC just kinda forgor about the whole dying thing and went with the flow
- and that she killed that motherfucker! I didn't have to tolerate him for too long >:D
- it's honestly quite funny that Qin Zheng was killed by pox (I hope I'm getting the name of the illness right lol, I'm reading this in Polish translation and have 0 knowledge about any medical terminology in English)
- just a note but it's harder for me to keep up with those notes for Iron Widow than for Qian Qiu. I think it's because 1. its pace is faster 2. its chapters are shorter. so anyway
- chapter 10, Wu Zetian just needs to scream 24/7 and I respect it so much
- chapter 12, idk, Li Shimin is kinda cute
- I also like strategist Zhuge but that may be just because he has a fan
- chapter 13, those qi power statistic are so untrustworthy lol. I wouldn't be so happy to have so much higher qi stats than the average if the margin of error is like 17k
- chapter 14, damn, I miss Yizhi...
- chapter 19, oh my god, Yizhi is back!! T^T
- I absolutely love all the tiny historical details in this story. I'm probably missing a lot but those which I can catch are amazing (and satisfying, good to know that I know something about Chinese history after all that learning)
- chapter 20, OMG YIZHI IS BI?? IS THIS FINALLY SOME GOOD BI REP??
- ZETIAN IS ALSO BI?? AM I IN HEAVEN? WHAT'S GOING ON??
- omg Gao Yizhi grabbing Li Shimin's leash is one of the things I need to draw, damn, it paints such a clear picture in my mind
- chapter 21, Sima Yi is just a hater by nature and I start to enjoy it,
- chapter 23, Yizhi screaming "you can't shoot me I'm rich!!!" I love this boy
- chapter 29, god, Yizhi, Shimin and Zetian are sooo cute
- also "one traumatized Xing Tian", that made me laugh out loud
- "usually adding qi of a third person only strengthened the dissonance (...) no one knows why we succeeded" yeah I wonder why, hmmmmmm
- chapter 30, MY BABYGIRL LI SHIMIN GOT CALLED AN ALPHA MALE I'M DYINGGG
- I kinda like Gao Qiu. I know he's probably bad news but damn, he's fun
- also a Wu Zetian fan nr1, seeing his reaction I'm surprised that he didn't ask for an autograph (I forgot that he's sexist af)
- tho, tbh, I think he's more afraid of what he can't control than purely sexist; interesting guy, I want to dissect him,
- I wonder if anything happened between LSM and GYZ during that party at Gao's, hmm,
- chapter 31, OUR THIRD PARTNER YIZHI, AWWW
- chapter 36, I actually think Sima Yi might be one of my fav characters? come on, the guy came to the wedding just because he wanted to support his little dumdums
- chapter 39, YES FUCK AN LUSHAN
- damn I didn't think they'll actually kill him. oh well. he won't be missed. judging by his character, even his son won't miss him
- Yizhi is the wife in this throuple, isn't he /jk
- OMG THE TRIANGLE IS FINISHED, THAT WAS SO CUTE!! WAAH
- chapter 42, I like how Wu Zetian's reaction to something not going well is just "maybe we should burn ourselves alive actually", relatable queen
- Sima Yi just lost his good guy badge. he better have a damn good excuse for abondoning MCs this easily,
- chapter 44, QIN PIERDOLONY ZHENG, już zawsze będę go tak nazywać 🫡
- chapter 46, is Qin Pierdolony Zheng playing snake with hunduns instead of apples¿?
- I still can't believe that Shimin is actually dead. Like. Dead dead. Super dead. Human marmalade dead. How... why him T^T
- chapter 47, I love how among all this death and destruction the worst problem Qin Pierdolony Zheng has is inflation,
- epilogue, DID SHIMIN BECOME A GOD PLS TELL ME HE BECAME A GOD
- Qin Pierdolony Zheng has a beef with gods, I think he's the most rel character now

AU where Rhaenys and Corlys were an arranged marriage.
Borrowing from the books for the age difference, because it felt like it made more sense for Corlys being a position where they'd consider arranging that marriage. Vague book/show hybrid AU, I guess? It was an interesting one to try to get my head around!
1. "I'll find you a wife," the queen tells him, when he brings the fruits of his latest voyage to court. "A man like you should have a wife to dote on and to bring gifts to." He isn't sure if she's jesting or not, and so he just murmurs noncommittally and forgets about it not long after he sets sail for home. (Queen Alysanne, it transpires, does not forget.)
2. She is ten when her betrothal is announced. No one has consulted her, but even at ten she is familiar enough with the politics she has learned at her grandmother's knee so as to not be surprised. (She is upset, however; if she is to be the heir to the realm, then she would have expected to have some say in who it is she weds, or at least some warning. It changes how she looks at the world around her.)
3. Their wedding night is awkward at best; they only know each other on the surface, interactions thus far stilted at best. She does not want to resent him but she does, feeling as though he has been forced upon her; he feels the years between them like an insurmountable gulf, as distant from her in the marital bed as his ship is from her dragon.
4. "Do you want this?" he asks her, that first night at Harrenhal, as the lords gather for her grandfather's council. When she whirls to look at him, anger flushing her, she finds his expression oddly sincere. "I know you did, before," he continues, "but that was when you were your father's heir -- when it was years away. So tell me: do you want this?" She did not expect the question, and it takes her a moment to find her voice again. "Yes," she says, because it's as simple as that. Yes, because it's what she was raised to be. Yes, because she is her father's daughter. And yes, because she wants to be those things, and to do right by the people who she was told will one day be hers. This husband her grandmother had chosen for her just looks back at her for a long silent moment before he nods. "Then we'll make it happen," he says, as if that is also as simple -- we, she realises, a reaffirmation of his vows to stand beside her. (It is the first time in their marriage that she feels as though he has really seen her; it is, perhaps, the first time she really looks at him. And with that, everything changes.)
5. When she ascends the throne a decade later, he is among the first to bend the knee, and the fond gleam in his eye is for her alone.
(Regarding #4: I like the idea that an older and more politically savvy Corlys might have been better able to play politics for and alongside his wife, assuming it's still Viserys vs. Rhaenys at Harrenhal.)

Tumblr media
Your heart raced as nerves filled you. You smiled at your mother as she gave you a reassuring smile. Luna placed a bunch of flowers in your hands. She fixed your hair a little before giving you a big grin. You smiled back at her before slipping on your shoes and walking out of your room and down the hall. You blushed as the staff clapped and wished you the best.
You moved outside the palace to see your father waiting by your carriage. “Father.”
Harold gazed up at you and welled up. “Oh, my baby girl.” He walked up to you and smiled softly. “You look perfect. I can’t believe you’re getting married. I tried and tried to push you towards marriage, but I was rushing you. Knowing now you are marrying a man you love…makes me happy. I should have just left you to it.”
You hugged your father with one arm. “You were doing what you thought was best for me. I hold no anger towards you for anything. You listened to me and you accepted the man I love.”
“I tried my best.” He helped you into the carriage. “Levi asked for an open top because he wanted everyone to see how pretty you are, but it is cold with winter here. So, he left a thick white blanket for you.”
You sat down and hummed a laugh as you put the blanket around you. “That sounds just like him.”
“He deeply cares about you. I am suspicious of him, of the things he might have done.”
You smiled as Levi’s stories of what he’d done came to mind. “He’s a good man and his intentions are always good. He has me at the front of all his choices.”
Harold smiled as he helped your mother and Luna into the carriage. “Well, I do hope he thinks about his kingdom too.”
“You know he does.”
Tia playfully smacked Harold in the chest. “Give the lad a break. You’ve been on his ass since the moment you met him. He’s going to be your son-in-law. You’ve seen how he looks at our daughter. He thinks the world of her.”
Luna nodded. “My lady is right. The Prince cares very deeply for my lady.”
Harold huffed. “I know, I know. I can’t help myself.” He sighed and smiled at you. “At least you know what choices not to make when you’re a mother. Are you aiming for one?” He frowned when Luna and Tia giggled. “What?”
Tia patted Harold’s shoulder. “You need to get to know your son-in-law more. He really wants a lot of children.”
Harold gazed at you. “But it puts such a strain on her body.”
You hummed a laugh. “I know. We’ve talked about it. Levi wants many, but he also understands the toil my body will go through. I told him I would like more than one, but we’ll see how I feel after my first one. What I know is, he said he’ll love me no matter what. To him, me and my body will always be perfect. He makes me feel beautiful and confident. I’m looking forward to marrying him.”
Luna smiled brightly. “You’ll be the perfect Queen.”
You blushed. “Queen?”
She nodded. “Didn’t his highness tell you? Today you’ll marry and then right after he’ll be crowned King. He said he’s doing it because he wants you to be a Queen as soon as possible.”
“Wow, I wasn’t expecting this today. I’m glad I wore such a lovely wedding dress.” You perked up when you saw people waiting for you and lining the streets. You waved to the cheering fans. “Levi’s done so much good that royals aren’t hated. He’s made such wonderful changes, though I know that there will always be people against a royal family. I don’t blame them.”
Luna rubbed your back. “Look ahead.”
You gazed at the city hall to see Levi waiting outside in a white suit. You blushed hard as your heart skipped a beat. You’d only ever seen Levi in black, so to see him in white was so different and beautiful. You smiled softly as he talked to his people and even crouched to talk to a little kid. Your cheeks burned when Levi noticed you moving closer.
Levi walked down the steps a little as everything around him faded away. He only saw you. He reached out for you with a gentle smile. “You look ravishing.”
You took his hand and stepped out of the carriage. “Thank you. You look incredible. Who knew you looked so good in white.”
He pulled you against him. “Should I stop wearing black?”
You shook your head. “No, I love you in black.” You hummed a laugh as you walked up the steps. “You wear it so well.”
“Thank you. So, we’ll view this as a treat then, huh?”
You nodded. “Yes. Like me wearing white.”
Levi shook his head. “No, I want you to wear white again. You look magical in it.”
“You’re very kind, but I can’t wear white all the time.”
He led you inside and smiled. “You can try, for me?”
You snorted a laugh. “Maybe. You do know white is supposed to represent purity, right? Well, I’m far from it.”
“I wonder who is to blame.”
You smirked a little. “I wonder too.”
“Wasn’t me.”
You chuckled. “Sure, sure.”
He kissed the back of your hand and led you to the law official. “Ready to get married and become Queen?”
You blushed. “I’m ready for marriage, but I don’t know about being a Queen.”
“You’ll be perfect.”
“Thank you.” You turned to the officiant and let them talk. You leaned over and whispered to Levi. “May I say, your ass looks delicious in those trousers.”
Levi shivered a little. “Thank you.” He leaned closer and whispered against your ear. “Your breasts are almost falling out of your dress. They look so plump and delicious. I just want to bite and suck on them.”
You turned your head and gazed at Levi. “I wish you would.”
Levi kissed you and moaned against your lips. “I will.”
The officiant laughed. “You beat me to it. I was just about to say you may kiss.”
“Sorry, we get carried away sometimes.”
“It’s all right. Sign here please.”
You signed first and handed the pen to Levi. “Mrs Ackerman.”
Levi smiled as he signed his name. “You are now a princess, but not for long.”
The officiant bowed to you both. “Congratulations. Next, we’ll swear you both in. Are you ready to face your people and be crowned?”
“I am.” He gazed at you. “Are you?”
You held Levi’s hand tightly and smiled softly. “Yeah.”
Levi followed the officiant outside and let him speak for a moment to the people. “I’m nervous.”
You gazed at Levi. “You are?”
Levi nodded and looked down at you. “But I feel better with you by my side.”
“I’m glad. You’re never going to be alone. No matter what comes our way, I will be right by your side.”
He kissed you and smiled as the crowd cheered. “Thank you.” He turned and stepped forwards as he was asked if he would uphold the laws and care for his people. “I swear on my life, I will serve, care for and honour my people.” He lowered to one knee and accepted his crown. He rose to the cheers of his people. He took your crown and turn to you. “Do you swear, as my Queen, to stand at my side, care for the people, the country and serve with a loving heart?”
You lowered to one knee. “I swear on my life that I will serve, care and honour the people of Paradis with all my heart and soul.”
Levi placed the crown on your head. “Rise, my Queen.”
You took Levi’s hand and stood up. “Thank you.”
The officiant opened his arms. “Now presenting your King and Queen of Paradis! Long may they reign!”
Levi pulled you close as the crowd cheered for you both. He bent you back and kissed you with a happy moan. “My Queen.”
You blushed a little as you stood next to Levi and waved to the people. “This is so strange. I never thought I would end up here.”
“You belong with me.”
You gazed at Levi to see that half of that declaration was his love talking and the other half was his obsessive side. “You belong to me.”
Levi’s cheeks burned bright red at the reversal on him. “A-Ah…umm…y-yes.”
You hummed a little laugh. “I’m only treating you the way you treat me.”
He mumbled a little. “Feels and sounds good.”
You winked at him before descending the stairs. “Let’s get to our party.”
He smiled. “I hope the people like what we’ve planned.”
You nodded and walked through the streets to the city centre with stalls set up, along with food, music and party things. “This all for the people?”
“Paid for by us. I don’t want the people to pay for us. I don’t want their hard-earned money to go towards a party. I paid for everything. I want them to enjoy themselves.” He kissed your cheek. “It’s why our wedding isn’t grand. You know how some anti-royalists get. No matter what we do, we’re scum and if we step down then some rich politicians take over and then they’ll be the next target of hate. It’s a never-ending cycle of hate.”
You looked out at the party and smiled as the music started and people seemed nervous. “I have an idea.” You walked across the dancefloor to a little girl who was moving to the music, but she wouldn’t go dance. “Would you like to dance?”
She gasped. “Yes, please!”
You held her hand and walked with her to the dancefloor. You laughed a little as you both danced together. “You’re very good! You’re better than me.”
She grinned. “Thank you, your majesty!”
You twirled around and around with her before lifting her up into the air making her squeal with laughter. You put her down and saw other people run in to join you both. You twirled and slammed into Levi. You blushed hard as he held you and the kids dancing with you both giggled. You smiled and started dancing with Levi. You both kept dancing as you held each other. You grinned when Levi tapped his forehead against yours as he squeezed your hips.
You pulled from Levi a little before holding his hands. “We need food and drink.”
Levi blushed as he followed you. “Yes.”
You walked ahead of Levi before glancing back at him with a smile to see pure love and wonder in his eyes. “Look at you.”
Levi whined. “D-Don’t.”
You hummed a gentle laugh. “You’re cute when you’re flustered.”
He let out a long sigh. “You just make my heart race.”
You sat down and pulled him to his seat. “Eat with me.”
He blushed and took food for you and him. “We should cut the cake soon. I had one made for the people, but we have a special one.”
You hummed a gentle laugh. “Well, you love spoiling me, so I’m not surprised.” You gazed out at the sky. “You know, even though it’s freezing cold you’ve managed to keep this area so warm.”
Levi put his arm around you as he watched his people. “I need to take care of them. I know what it’s like to not have anything. I feel for these people and I want to help them.”
You kissed his cheek and smiled softly. “You’re a good man.”
“I try.” He held your hands. “We’ll have snow soon.”
You gasped in delight. “I love snow.”
“Well, we’ll have plenty and we can have a lot of dates in the snow.”
You placed your hand on Levi’s thigh and massaged. “I can’t wait.”
Levi whined a little. “C-Careful.”
You looked down to see he was growing in his trousers. “Am I turning you on?”
“You always do.”
You shifted closer and moved your hand over his growing erection. You leaned closer to his ear and kissed it. “I can feel your cock twitching against my hand.”
He covered his mouth with his hand and moaned. “F-Fuck.”
You massaged his dick as you nipped and sucked at his neck. “I have so many ideas. Do I take you somewhere alone and suck that big fat cock of yours, or do we go somewhere to quickly fuck.” You giggled. “The choices.”
He growled and gazed at you. “You’re as bad as I am.”
“I am.”
He grabbed your upper arm and dragged you off. “Come with me, now.”
You stumbled after him and saw he was taking you to his carriage, which did have a cover over it so you could have a private moment. “Levi?”
He looked around to see no workers were around. He opened the carriage door. “In.”
You climbed inside and jumped as Levi slammed the door. “Levi?” You shivered as he started undoing his trousers. You sat on the seat opposite and watched him. “Mmm, look at you.”
He pulled his thick hard cock out and panted. “Look what you’ve done to me.”
You giggled. “Well, I know just the place you can put it.” You dragged up your dress a little. “I want you to ravage me so hard and roughly. Remind me that I am yours, my dear husband.”
Levi growled and pounced. He yanked your body and turned you so your back was to him. “Kneel on the seat, my love and hold the head of the seat.” He watched you do as he said. “Good girl.”
You looked back at him. “You’re keeping on the white leather gloves, right?”
Levi paused a moment and smiled. “Of course.” He pushed your dress up and ripped your bloomers open making you moan. “Keep quiet, okay?”
You nibbled your lip as you swayed your hips at Levi. “Yes, Levi.”
Levi growled as he watched your ass move side to side while your pussy dripped. He grabbed your hip and slammed his cock deep into your pussy. He moaned at how hot and wet you were. He smiled as your walls fluttered around him. He glanced at your face to see you were shaking as you tried to hold back moans. His heart skipped a beat when you looked back at him panting with a look of pure love and desire in your eyes. Levi panted as his cock twitched inside you, his balls tightened with the desire to fill you right then and there.
Levi shifted his legs and began pounding his cock into you at an unrelenting and punishing pace. His hips slapped against your ass cheeks and felt like he was spanking you. You lowered your head and tried to hold back your moans, but Levi was ravaging you too well. You whimpered and whined as your legs shook. Your arousal dribbled down your thighs as Levi’s cock dragged and pushed your cum out of you. You gripped the head of the seat tightly as your legs began shaking from pleasure surging through your body.
You threw your head back and moaned. “Fuck.”
Levi slapped your bum hard causing the crack of the collision to fill the carriage. “Naughty brat.”
You whined a little. “Levi.”
His gloved hand collided with your ass again. “Be a good girl and your King will reward you.”
You hummed and whined. “Y-Yes.”
He slapped your behind again and watched you as his cock slammed in and out of you. He panted as his heart raced and his possessive desires consumed him. He admired the dip in your back as you tensed up in pleasure. He caressed your thigh and behind as you whimpered and mewled at him. He could see you were trying so hard to hold back your moans as he fucked you within an inch of your life in his carriage. He loved and adored you to death. He thought you were incredible and perfect.
He shifted his hand on your hip around to your plump clit. His other hand gripped the back of your neck. “Good girl. Let me spoil you.”
You moaned a little as Levi’s hand gripped the back of your neck and his other played with your clit. You shivered in delight as your coil tightened harder. You gripped the seat hard and began bucking roughly back against Levi as he kept moving his hips against you. You did everything you could to stay quiet, but Levi was just too good with his cock and fingers. He knew just how to fuck you right to make you cum undone under him and forget everything around you.
Levi shifted his hand from your neck to cover your mouth. He pulled you up and against your body as he bucked his cock up into you. “Good girl. I’ve got you. Let your King take care of you.”
You moaned against his hand and felt yourself drooling. You turned your head and gazed at your husband as your heart fluttered in your chest. You whimpered a little as you felt like you couldn’t hold on any longer. Your eyes rolled back into your head as your pussy walls clenched Levi’s hard dick over and over as your orgasm came rushing towards you. You let out a blissful moan against Levi’s hand as you let your orgasm burn and surge through every inch of you. You bucked back against Levi as you road out your high.
Levi pulled his cock from you and panted. “Fuck.”
You slowly slipped on the seat. “Mmm.”
Levi turned you around as he gazed at you. “You okay?”
You nodded and stared at his penis twitching in your face. “Yes…more.”
Levi moved you to lie on your back across the seat. He placed a cushion behind your head so it wouldn’t bang against the side of the carriage. He placed one knee on the seat and hoisted your hips up before plunging back into you again. He shifted you a little before bucking into you hard and fast. He smiled as your breasts bounced from his rough actions. Your corset held onto your breasts for dear life, but they were threatening to fall out. He saw you cover your mouth as you tried your best to hold back moaning too loudly.
Levi slipped one hand under your lower back to support you before reaching down with his other hand and clasping your jaw. He panted and pushed two fingers into your mouth. He smiled softly as you sucked them and moaned against them right away. He saw the love in your eyes as he bucked into you. He blushed as you pulled your head from his hand. He watched as you yanked his glove off before shoving his two fingers back into your mouth and sucking hard. He shivered in delight as your tongue rolled and moved over his fingers.
You hummed in delight as you sucked your husband’s fingers. You yanked your dress down a little before playing with your clit. You moaned against Levi’s fingers as your pleasure increased. You wiggled below Levi and saw your shoes were holding for dear life. You gasped as one fell off making a thud against the carriage floor. You whined at Levi and mewled as you slowly forgot all about your shoes when Levi started bucking harder against you. Your eyes rolled back into your head as you enjoyed the pleasure burning through your body.
Levi panted as his hips slapped harshly against yours. “F-Fuck, mmm.” He shivered when you clenched around him. “Nngh, shit. You feel so good. You’re so hot and wet. You wrap around my cock so perfectly. I love you so much. You’re everything to me.” He started losing control of his thrusting. “I love you! I love you! I love you!”
You popped Levi’s fingers from your mouth as you leaned your head back. You moaned and shoved the cushion behind your head against your mouth. “MMM!” Your body shook roughly as your orgasm ripped through your body. You slapped your hand around before grabbing Levi’s blazer and yanking him close to you. “Fuck.”
Levi fell forwards and gripped the back of the seat as you clenched around him over and over. He panted and moaned your name as he kept bucking into you. He whined your name again as he poured ribbons of cum into you. He rocked his hips a little before stopping. “Oh fuck.” He lay against you and moaned into your breasts. “I love you.”
You shoved the cushion off your face and panted. “I love you too.” You hummed and rubbed his back. “I can’t believe I’m not your girlfriend anymore.”
Levi lifted his head and gave you sad puppy dog eyes. “What?”
You snorted a laugh. “Well, I’m not. I’m married to you, so I’m your wife instead.”
He blushed hard. “Oh, you’re right.”
You giggled at how sweet Levi was. “Bless you.”
He nuzzled the crook of your neck and whined. “You tricked me.”
“I didn’t. I said a true thing.”
He pulled back and looked down at you. “You’re an evil Queen.”
You hummed a laugh. “Maybe I am. This evil Queen loves you deeply though.”
Levi kissed you and sighed against your lips. “I love you so much.” He pulled out of you and grunted. “Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”
You sat up and smiled. “I’m perfect. I loved every moment of what we did.”
“Good, I’m glad.” He cuddled up to you. “I do worry when I’m rough.” He tucked himself away before fixing your dress. “I know you want it, but I still worry.”
You hugged Levi’s side. “And that’s what makes you a wonderful man. You care about me and my pleasure. I feel so heard and loved by you.”
He smiled softly. “Really?”
You nodded and kissed his cheek. “Really.”
He smiled more. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
He crashed his lips against yours and moaned. “I wasn’t expecting our first time as a married couple to be so rough. I promise tonight I’ll be gentle and loving.”
You purred at him. “Oh, I know you will be.”
He cuddled you for a while and sighed. “I just realised something.”
“Mm?”
He looked down at you. “I tore your bloomers open.”
You hummed a laugh. “It’s okay. I’ll just grab a new pair from your collection of stolen ones when I get home.”
Levi blushed hard. “I-I don’t have a-a collection!”
You looked up at him. “I know one is under your pillow, another in your office and I’m sure there might be another stashed away.”
He gulped hard. “I will stop stealing them.”
“Don’t, it’s fun for me to find them.”
He let out a long sigh. “You get me all flustered.”
You hummed a laugh. “Well, looks like we’ll have to finish our wedding party with me having ripped bloomers.” You stood up and smiled. “Come on handsome.”
Levi followed you out of the carriage and looked around. “No one came over.”
“Probably because the carriage was rocking. You asked me to be quiet, but there’s no hiding the rocking.”
Levi blushed hard. “Tch, shit.”
You pulled him along. “Fear not, my love. Everyone knows we’re at it like rabbits.”
Levi pulled you close as you walked together. “That’s true.” He bent you backwards as you walked making you laugh. “Everyone knows you’re all mine. No one else can have you.” He picked you up and smiled up at you. “All mine.”
You played with Levi’s hair as you looked down at him. “Yeah, all yours.”
He sat down in his seat and kept you on his lap. “You’re so beautiful.”
“Thank you. You’re incredibly handsome.”
“Thank you.” He turned his head when Erwin hurried over with Mike, both with grim expressions. “Something wrong?”
Erwin sat down next to Levi and lowered his voice. “There’s been word sent to us about the coast.”
Levi raised a brow. “And?”
Mike leaned on the table. “A skilled small unit of fighters is moving towards our island. Your majesty, they are hostile.”
“Under what banner?”
Erwin shook his head. “Unknown. They say they are rouge, but I suspect Ji-Woo sent them. He won’t declare war due to his father not wanting it, but he would do something sly like this.”
Levi rubbed the back of his neck. “Tch, shit. Can we send a small group there to defend our fishing towns?”
Mike sighed. “Possibly, but if they fail and advance…”
Erwin clenched his fist. “It’s difficult. If you go, people might get scared or think you’re overreacting. If you don’t go and our team fails, it’ll look terrible.”
You gripped Levi’s back. “Send a group first to establish contact with the group and to set up a base camp. Levi will arrive the next day or two days later. If they fight, he can turn the tide, if they’re there for talking Levi can back up his guards.”
Levi looked up at you. “You’re so smart, but you and I parting could be dangerous.”
You sighed. “Then place your best guard on me. Besides, I have some skills of my own. I told you as a little kid I used to be rebellious and climb trees.”
He smiled. “I remember.”
“Well, I also learned how to use swords and a bow.” You smiled at Mike. “Mike can stay behind. When it comes to medical, Hange can go with you and Armin can stay behind. Niccolo can provide the meals for you and your guards while Sasha stays behind.”
Levi nodded and he processed your words. “You’re right.”
Erwin chuckled. “You have a very smart Queen.”
You grinned. “Thank you.”
“You are right. What you said is the best course of action. It won’t panic people too much.”
You let out a long sigh. “I will provide a distraction. I’ll do a tour of the city and carry out my royal duties of getting to know people. They’ll be so focused on that and the winter festival, that they won’t notice you on the border.”
Levi cupped your face and kissed you. “I will miss you.”
“I will miss you too. I know you’ll come back to me.” You gulped hard. “Promise you’ll write.”
He hugged you tightly. “I promise.”
You closed your eyes for a moment as you held Levi. “Good.”

You know, if somebody told me three years ago, after season eight of GOT ended, that I would once again spend my free evening watching another ASOIAF show produced by HBO, I would spit in their face.
Yet here we are, three weeks in, with another magnificent episode. And yes, even with it’s flaws, it was still magnificent.
So let’s start with cons:
1. Alicent acting like a saint cow.
At first, when this entire plot of her being manipulated by her father was introduced, I thought that the writers would use it in later episodes, to show us Alicent projecting the same kind of abuse on her own children.
This episode should have been hers, no argument about it. She’s been Queen for two years now, she’s given Viserys a healthy son. That was a perfect time for her ugly nature to start showing its face.
But instead all we've got was her trying to be kind to Rhaenyra and Daemon (out of all people!) and still following her father’s commands. Commands she didn't agree with. I’m not saying that she should straight out embrace her evil step-mother persona, after being turned into Rhaenyra’s bestie for two episodes. But I hoped for at least a hint, yet the closest thing I've seen was a slip of tongue.
This plotline really starts to look like a sour thumb in an otherwise great script. Sandra Hightower should catch up to her book Highbitch personality sooner rather than later, or she’ll be left behind.
2. Viserys drinking.
Now, this is almost a follow-up from Alicent being such a good wife and person as a whole, because why exactly is Viserys drinking?
The narrative wants us to believe it’s because of his guilt about Aemma, but we’ve seen Viserys doing just fine for six months after her death. In the books, Viserys slipping into alcoholism was caused by his guilt over raping Aemma when she was eleven, yes. But it was also very much because he had a poisonous snake right in the middle of his household. His wife was grooming their son against his daughter, causing Rhaenyra’s isolation. And Viserys wasn’t completely blind to it. He refused Alicent’s idea of marring Aegon to Rhaenyra, not because Aegon was so much younger (again, Viserys married Aemma, and this kind of betrothal wasn't unheard of) or because Aegon was princess’s brother (Viserys' own parents were siblings), but because he was scared of his new wife’s ambition.
Alicent, combined with Otto and his minions sucking the life out of him, made Viserys turn into a shadow of a man he was before, and he wasn’t much of a man even then.
3. Turning Rhaenyra into a spoiled brat.
Yes, Rhaenyra should be very spoiled, very proud, selfish and entitled.
But turning an actual victim of abuse (because that’s what Alicent’s behavior was, an abuse) into a thorn in Viserys' back, and making her one of the main reasons for his condition (her, not Alicent! 🙄) is appalling, honestly speaking.
I wouldn’t mind it, if the narrative's shown us that Viserys thinks this way, because the Greens have once again twisted the facts. But the writers actually introduced Rhaenyra as the black ship, who doesn't want to be a part of her new family, when in the books she was isolated from them by Alicent. And it was all happening after her mother and brother were killed, and her uncle was exiled. Here Rhaenyra looks like she doesn’t want to be helped.
4. Why is Tyland being so concerned with Stepstones?
Tyland was Oldtown’s man, he had no reason whatsoever to help Daemon, and there was no further reason for the Greens to make Daemon look bad. The guy was gone, exiled, probably soon to be killed in a war.
Tyland’s also talking about their fleet, but it wasn’t Realm’s fleet exactly, was it? It was Corlys’s. And Tyland had even less of a reason to help Velaryons.
Are they going to turn him into a good guy, just like they did with Sandra? Is that why they exchange the look during this scene? Was Sandra pulling some strings to end the war, like a good, saint cow she is?
5. The mere idea that Viserys wouldn’t send Daemon help, if Alicent didn’t ask for it, made me see red. Viserys’ love was absolute for only two people in his life, as hard as it certainly was for the children he produced with Alicent, and those people were Daemon and Rhaenyra.
He would have never, ever, left Daemon to his death, period. It was so OOC for both Viserys and Alicent, that it made me pause the episode. I needed some time to get used to the idea.
6. Another change I didn’t like was Viserys complaining about Daemon disobeying his orders.
In the books, Viserys didn’t care about Daemon fighting on the Stepstones, nobody cared, really, and it was important to the plot.
You see, before the Stepstones, everybody was fricking out about Daemon regularly banging a Lyseni woman and not being with his wife. It was an entire drama, about which I will write some more in the next con, but what’s important for now is for you to know that the Small Council, and supposedly Viserys, went crazy about how important it was for Daemon to go back to Runestone.
And Daemon did just that, he obeyed his King's command. It was only after two more letters, that he decided he had had enough, and he went with Corlys to the Stepstones. And suddenly… nobody cared anymore about Daemon not being with Rhea. Because what they really cared about was the possibility of Daemon producing a child with a woman who had valyrian features.
7. And that brings me to Daemon beating the shit out of poor Ser Addam.
When they erased the entire plot of Mysaria getting pregnant, I thought they would also get rid of the rumor of Daemon beating the messenger. After all, one makes no sense without the other.
You see, in the books Mysaria truly ends up with a child, and is given a dragon egg, although probably not stolen, since there were many dragon eggs on Dragonstone. Daemon gets a letter, supposedly written by Viserys, in which his brother insults him, his paramour, his unborn child, and commands Daemon to send Mysaria away across the Narrow Sea to Lys.
And Daemon, as always, obeys and goes back to his wife. Now, whether it was true or not, Daemon gets another letter later on, informing him that his child is dead. Gyldayn claims, that he doesn’t react in any way to this news.
Soon after that, he gets yet another letter, this one from Viserys again or rather, this one actually from Viserys. In the letter the King informs Daemon, that he had married Alicent. And this time, according to Gyldayn, Daemon beats the living shit out of the messenger.
Firstly, I want you to ask yourself a question, how would any of maester Gyldayn’s sources even know what has happened in Runestone? Or even when or where would they hear such rumors? It’s important, because I believe this is one of the biggest slips on Gyldayn’s part, showing us that there were people spying on Daemon long before the Dance even began.
Secondly, let’s look at those events a little bit closer.
Some people have come to the conclusion, that Gyldayn must have mixed up the letters and Daemon's reactions on purpose. They think that Daemon didn’t react to the news about the new queen (After all, why would he? Alicent was nothing to him at the time.), and that he lost it, after learning about his child’s death.
But I believe that, for once, the rumors and Gyldayn were telling the truth. Daemon not reacting to his child’d death could be simply his way of hiding his grief before his wife’s household. After all, none of those people were his friends, and many would take joy at seeing him mourning the bastard. Daemon composing himself is very much understandable. Just like him losing his shit after the second letter is. For all Daemon knows, his brother has just murdered his child, and now he has the audacity to inform him about his happy marriage to a young girl, who will certainly get pregnant in no time.
That was why Daemon beat the man.
Reducing this whole grief and frustration to the simple offense of his pride, seems rather empty in comparison. It’s still in character, I give you that, but for someone who understands the story, it’s just another wacky way of showing the audience what a psycho Daemon can be, and well, I’m slowly getting tired of that.
8. The episode as a whole felt a little bit like a filler, but that’s not really the writers' fault. The entire thing with the Stepstones was like an intermission in the narrative, created for the purpose of giving older characters something to do, while the others grew up.
 9. Daemon’s sprint made me laugh so hard, I spit my Coke on the table. That was some very solid plot armor he was wearing this episode.
And now that we got it over with, let's go to the pros. And good lord, there are so many. This episode truly outdid itself when it comes to introducing new characters and plotlines.
1. I absolutely adore the way they make Rhaenyra look isolated and depressed. Her sitting inside the carriage, while everybody else was cheering for Aegon outside, nearly broke my heart.
The whole scene with her walking through the tent, almost unnoticed and alone, searching for her place?😫👌👌 Some brilliant story telling done without a single line of dialogue. Not to mention, Viserys clearly seeing what’s happening and not knowing what to do about it, adds to the whole problem. His shocked face, after Rhaenyra tells him nobody’s here for her 🤣. He really is completely lost, when it comes to his daughter not acclimatizing with this new family he tries to create.
The way she lights up like a sun, when somebody invites her into the conversation, and she gladly tries to join in, only to be put down right away. She has to stand, while everybody else seats down. The Ladies talking badly about her uncle is understandable, since Daemon is exiled, but they have the audacity to talk badly about her father, the King, right in front of her. It just shows us perfectly that something is very wrong with the structure of this new court.
2. I love that the two Ladies talking back to Rhaenyra were Lady Lannister and Lady Redwyne.
Lannisters have been plotting with Hightowers ever since the Great Council of 101, when they brought with them an army to Harrenhal. According to Gyldayn they did it only to show off, but ofc in reality they have done it to make sure that the other Lords wouldn’t make a mistake during voting.
And Redwynes and Hightowers have been mixing their bloodlines for generations.
The number of traitors gathered all around the King and his heir simply overwhelms.
3. That being said, in this episode we were finally introduced to another Cunt of the story – Tyland Lannister, the master of ships.
In the books, Corlys was never a master of ships in Viserys Council, since he was greatly offended after the Council of 101. Instead, we had Tyland, who got this position for the support his House gave to the Hightowers and Viserys in Harrenhal.
Tyland is also a twat, who will steal the Crown’s money, taking ¼ of it for himself, and giving half of it to the Oldtown Triad.
He will later advise to kill Aegon III, and after Aegon II dies, he’ll become Aegon’s III Hand.
And that event'll result in one of maesters' biggest bullshit ever written in their ‘history books’. Because those people had an absolute goal, to say that Tyland was a good servant of Aegon the Younger. The same boy he wanted to murder. And they explained it with Tyland suddenly claiming he didn't even remember who served the Blacks and who served the Greens during the war.
Jesus Christ, pls stop this clownery 🤦‍♀️.
It’s also the same Tyland who will try to marry of Baela, daughter of Daemon, the same daughter who was able to hatch dragon eggs, to some ugly dude, forty years her senior. And when Baela refuses, he will lock her up.
So yeah, when I saw him on the screen, I threw my pillow at his ugly fucking face.
4. But we’re not out of Cunts yet. Larys's introduction? Chef’s kisses 😘. The innocent way in which he asks if he can join the ladies, pretending to be a poor cripple, but in reality trying to gain some information 👌. The fact that we can’t actually see his leg, which makes us question if he’s really sick or if he’s just acting, the same way Varys was in the books. Larys will later become a master of whispers after all, and even their names, Larys = Varys, give us this interesting connection.
5. I squealed, when Lady Lannister mentioned Lady Johanna Swann.
After GOT great fuck up, it’s simply mind-blowing to me, that the show writers remember such characters! Because yes, Stepstones were an intermission, narratively speaking, but GRRM wouldn’t be GRRM if everything about it was simply a filler.
The Triarchy will later support the Greens during the war, but we can actually wonder if Lys was secretly fighting for the Blacks (Johanna will basically rule Lys when the Dance starts). You see, Lyseni fleet will end up mostly unscathed after the battle of Gullet.
Also, her relative, Byron, will try to kill a dragon, although it was never specified which one – the Green one or the Black one.
Was Johanna fighting against her House, who were supporting the Greens, after they failed to pay her ransom? Was Byron supporting his House or his cousin?
Can’t wait to see where this plotline will go.
6. If they’ll exclude Lord Strong from the coup after this episode, I’ll be extremely baffled, honestly.
I wanted to smack this prick so hard, when he said that Jaehaerys ruled for fifty years of peace. Excuse me, you bitch! Even if we don’t count all the other mess that went down during this moron’s kingship, he still lost his son, his fucking favorite son, future heir, prince Aemon, during a fricking war. An event that started the whole mess with succession.
The copium these conspirators have, when it comes to Jaehaerys, is simply insane. He sure was their favorite king, wasn’t he? If it wasn’t for Jaehaerys, none of them would even be at court in the first place.
And then Lyonel has the audacity, to say that Jaehaerys' children nearly drove him to madness, especially daughters.
Yes, especially daughters seem to be a big problem for Oldtown, aren’t they? I sometimes lose count of all the fuckery that went down with Targaryen Princesses. It indeed looks like some kind of tradition. Makes you wonder.
And wasn’t that fortunate to all of you, that all of Jaehaerys daughters either died, became septas or managed to run away, before they were forced to become septas?
Isn’t it fortunate, that after all those years, Saera didn’t return for her dragon and to fight for her and her children’s claim?
I’m sure children were the ones that caused Jaehaerys' insanity, and not any of you, you filthy traitors.
Anyway, love the amount of little details in that simple, innocent line as well.
7. The fact that they are using prophecy to make Viserys change his mind about heirs, is so in line with GRRM’s writing 🙌🙇‍♀️. And it begins in such an insignificant way.
First, Viserys asks Lyonel if everything is ready, to which Strong replies, that Jason expects them before midday. Which means that Jason Lannister was the one put in charge to organize the whole event. Then Otto goes to Viserys, when the King's arguing with Rhaenyra, to tell him about the white heart and calling it some kind of omen. Then they go out to check out the trails, and people all around Viserys are gushing about prophecy. Otto even has the goal to say he doesn’t believe in them, but well, if it’s the will of the Gods… 🤷‍♂️ And we know that this bitch is ofc lying, because Hightowers have their own prophecy, one that they’re treating very seriously, and they love all this magical shit (and necromancy as well). Then Jason's gift happens to be a spear, which he gives to Viserys specifically for the kill of the white heart in Aegon's name. And this is not suspicious at all.  And ofc they don’t catch the white heart, but the closest thing to it they could find.
It honestly felt like something GRRM would write in his book, I’m extremely impressed.
8.  Also, the little expression on Alicent’s face, when Viserys talks to her about his dreams, the way she almost rolls her eyes - again, perfect representation of the outside image Alicent should present, as this extremely pious woman raised in Oldtown. I also wonder if she’s the one who told her father about Viserys being very superstitious.
9. The whole sequence of the Oldtown Triad trying to set Rhaenyra aside, was some great piece of story telling as well. I absolutely love the way this dialogue was written, every word counted. Was this particular part created by Fat Guy himself? I wouldn’t be surprised.
It starts out innocently enough.
We once again can witness the famous Targaryen Pride, with Viserys very clearly putting Lannisters beneath dragonriders. It’s a nice call back to Lyonel using the same pride against Velaryons in the second episode.
It also parallels with Daemon listening only to Rhaenyra on Dragonstone. Targaryens are very conceited and if you can’t bring dragons to the table, they won’t treat you as an equal.
Not to mention it’s a reference to Aerys' rejection of Cersei Lannister, and him choosing Elia, who he believed could indeed give Targaryens some new dragons.
And after that part is done, the scheming starts!
So first they send Jason, to check out the possibility of simply naming Aegon as the new heir. Viserys is clearly baffled by the idea, and since Jason is not the smartest guy, he slips up and says „many of us had assumed.”
Viserys ofc is right into that shit: „many of us, you say?”. And it’s such a good question. Indeed, who did you have in mind, Jason? Your bannermen? Other Lords? Or other members of the Oldtown Conspiracy?
If that wasn’t good enough, Viserys follows it up with mentioning the rebellion, and that was the moment when I started screaming, and my friend needed to calm my hype down.
Anyway, Jason clearly screws up, Aegon won’t be named heir any time soon. And the fact that Viserys, even being depressed, tired and wasted, is still up to defending Rhaenyra’s position is so in character for him, I was melting.
After that fuck up, Otto comes to the rescue with yet another possibility: let's marry Aegon to Rhaenyra. To which Viserys laughs to Otto's face.
Now, in the show it made less sense than it did in the books, but it was hilarious, so I’m willing to buy it. It also shows rather well, that Otto is starting to lose his footing.
And when this idea doesn’t work out as well, they bring out the biggest guns and send off Lyonel. And Lyonel once again gives the King an advice that at first sounds completely impartial and logical. Let’s close the rift between Velaryons and Targaryens. But in reality what he does, is suggesting for Rhaenyra to marry gay.
If we can’t strip her of her title, if we can't get her to be married to Aegon, then let’s take away any possibility of her having legitimate children. And I love the detail of Lyonel’s little smile, when Viserys asks if he wants to recommend his son to marry Rhaenyra. Because no, Harwin’s role was always to become her lover, give her a bastard, and make everyone question her heir's legitimacy.
10. Also, Lady Lannister clearly was following the conversation, and it's very refreshing, when you can see the side characters doing their job as spies and gossips.
11. I also like how they present Viserys' isolation. He is all alone in a room full of vultures. Right after he manages to escape, Alicent is right next to him to keep an eye on him calm him down. He truly is trapped.
12. Realm’s Delight being a title Viserys gave Rhaenyra because of his love for her, and not because of her looks, was also a great addition. It truly hammers down the fact, that Rhaenyra was the greatest joy in his life.
13. Love to watch how Viserys’ obsession with prophecy is very clearly hunting him, and again I appreciate how this show makes a very clear point of how devious and dangerous those dreams are, how they influence people and what a huge impact they have on characters’ actions.
„What is the power of the dragon, next to the power of the prophecy?” must be one of the most important lines in the entire ASOIAF put to screen till this day. It’s honestly the first indication I can think of, showing the viewers that somewhere out there is a higher power, not necessarily good, that has basically unlimited means to control even Targaryens. I couldn’t help but think of poor Dany at the time 😢.
And I do wonder, who’s sending those dreams to Viserys 🤔? Children of the Forest? Some maester with a glass candle in the Citadel? Bran?
14. That brings me to Rhaenyra sitting under the weirwood tree again. Girl! Get the fuck away from that monstrosity! What are you doing? How much time do you spend there? Burn this shit to the ground, or so help me! 🤬
15. Love the little detail of her sitting on blankets and pillows, though, the Princess must be comfortable after all. 💃
16. I choose to believe that Alicent sending away the bard, and later her comment about pregnancy, was actually malicious and was meant to hurt Rhaenyra, rather than it being an innocent slip of tongue. Don’t judge me, I’m starved for the Highbitch, and it was all I got the whole episode.
17. Rhaenyra’s comment about her not willing to join the hunt, because boars squeal like children, when they’re being slaughtered, while we had a nice shot of Aegon’s stupid, little face, send me 🤣🤣. This girl is wild, I love it.
18. The costumes were also so nice. Rhaenyra’s hunting clothes look pretty and practical, Alicent’s dress was beautiful as well, even if this color is wasted on this character, and a hair net was a very nice touch.
19. I also love how the entire set for the hunting party looked. There were people all around, doing their stuff, walking, talking, eating, drinking, something that was very missing in GOT with later seasons. The amount of tents, the fires, the whole thing felt very real and alive.
20. Harwin’s introduction was done so brilliantly. He’s such a cutie, too. And he looks to be an appropriate age? Sandor, you have been avenged. The way he beams at Rhaenrya, when she comes back bathed in blood! Count this man as scared and horny.
21. The whole thing with the white heart was also a nice call back to the books. Robert was trying to find the white heart, but failed and instead went after the boar, and the boar killed him. But here Rhaenyra finds and spares the life of the white heart, but kills the boar. What does it mean? Don’t know. And as always I don’t really care, but I love how this scene will for sure start a discussion among us, the fans. Was Rhaenyra meant to be the next ruler, was she chosen by the gods, did Hightowers go against the higher power??? Etc. etc. Always a pleasure to see ASOIAF fucking with us, when it comes to prophecies.
22. Rhaenyra’s little grimace, when she drinks the wine Jason gave her, made me spit out my Coke the first time (Daemon's sprint was the second). Acting in this show is so great and full of little nuances.
23. I know that it was probably just put in the script, to show us Jason being a self-important prick, but I clapped when somebody finally gushed over the architectural wonder that is Casterly Rock. By all means, this construction should not even exist in this world with their technological progress, yet Westeros is filled with those kinds of things, like the Wall or Storms End for example. It was a truly fascinating easter egg to crack, while reading the books.
24. I actually enjoyed Criston acting like a proper knight and the only support Rhaenyra had. After all, this character’s strength lies in him losing this facade later on.
I loved the little slip he made about him having an adventurous youth, yet never marring, because he was allowed to marry only women of lower birth. It shows us nicely, that Criston is not as knightly as we would like to believe, as well as the fact that he thinks rather highly of himself, or at least is clearly aiming higher than some low-born girl, he could only enjoy his adventurous youth with. And I don’t think I have to tell you, what this kind of fun meant for women, especially those who weren’t Ladies.
"Everything I have, I own to you." Indeed, so why are you such a cunt, Ser Cunt?
25. I also liked him claiming that men of the Realm wouldn’t have a choice in accepting Rhaenyra. Because that’s exactly what somebody as low-born as Criston would believe. As I’ve mentioned many times before, many Lords followed women and sworn fealty to them all the time in Westeros.
And they did make their choice, most of them choose Rhaenyra in fact. Because that was how this system worked.
26. Same goes with Otto’s ridiculous copium. People celebrated, because that was Aegon’s second name day. Most of the Lords present were his own cronies. Claiming that persons' sex is more important than the whole feudal structure of society, is laughable. Even Alicent knows it. Which is actually a good start in showing us, that this woman is much smarter than her own father. The Realm won’t tear itself apart, if you don’t start the fight for Aegons' claim.
And whose gods and laws are you talking about, Otto? Because those are not the ones written for Targaryen’s succession, I can assure you.
I hope we’ll get to see Jasper in the show. If you thought that Otto or Rhaenys were talking nonsense before, wait till this guy opens his mouth about law. I hope Blackfyres burned Rain House to a crisp in ADwD.
27. Vaemond being the one asking for help was some fine, little nod towards his character. He would be the one to ask for aid first.
28. Maesters are so good at doing their job, that Viserys has already lost two fingers because of one, little cut, and the flesh is still rotting away. Not suspicious at all. I’m waiting for a moment when the fever kicks in.
29. I loved the parallel between Alicent claiming that Rhaenyra will marry, if she believes it was her choice, and later Rhaenyra calling Viserys out on choosing Alicent instead of Laena. Only he didn’t choose her, did he? He was made to believe he was given a choice.
Writing for this episode in some parts is just superb.
30. Once again, the military power of dragons is shown in full display. I love watching pets of mass destruction doing their craft.
I also love how HOTD shows the perfect control riders have over their dragons. Finally, you can see that it was a deep, telepathic connection and that dragons' actions are clearly not their own. Laenor controls the fire to make a perfect circle around Daemon, there is no command in the world, that could’ve achieved it. Targaryens are fricking skinchangers.
31. Even greyscale looks better in this show.
32. I’m torn. I can’t decide if my new sexuality is Laenor having a time of his life, while he’s burning people alive, or Daemon with braids. I was smiling like a moron every time I saw Laenor, but then my legs were spreading on their own accord, when I was looking at Daemon’s new hairstyle. Ugh, decisions are hard.
33. Good to know that Vaemond was earning his decapitation ever since the war on Stepstones. Stop trying to save him, Corlys. This man is too stupid to be allowed to breathe.
34. Them using Seasmoke for a surprise attack instead of Caraxes, because Caraxes was red and Seasmoke was harder to notice 🤌🤌, love the writers who know their lore.
35. This whole scene at the end shows really well, why the Blacks would’ve won the Dance, if not for the treason and Oldtown's scheming. They were just absolutely fierce on the battlefield.
36. Daemon losing his mind after reading a letter and rushing straight forward into suicide mission, was a reference I didn’t need to witness this early in the show. On the one hand, him yeeting away to win this war or die out of pure spite was hilarious, on the other, I almost cried.
This man feels first and thinks later and in the end it will bring him his death. I can’t even, no, it’s too soon to think about it! 😭😞😭
37. Daemon really went feral, when he caught up to Drahar, didn’t he? Did he kill him with his own teeth or something? They didn’t show us what happened for a reason, huh? Or were there even more poor souls in those tunnels, getting ready to be slaughtered by Dark Sister?
Love this parallel between Daemon and Rhaenyra being blood-soaked and dragging their preys behind them. My babies are thousands of miles apart from each other, and still we are supposed to make the connection between the two, love it!
38. Look, I recognize the fact, that Daemon’s run was quite ridiculous and that this kind of plot armor doesn't work in real life.
 But!
As a viewer, I was having so much fun. I was cheering for this man at the top of my lungs. Finally, his inner Chad has awakened.
Matt didn’t have a single line for the entire sequence, and he managed to act his way through it so well, I understood perfectly what his character was thinking the whole time.
I can’t even tell you, how many times I’ve rewatched the moment, when Daemon is jumping in the air and kicking the shit out of some Myrish scum.
Westeros was filled with dudes like this, aka Gary Stu knights. It’s so nice to see it again after so many years.
Yeah, so I think I’ve covered everything I wanted to cover. Honestly, this episode was filled with stuff, if you know what I mean. I was having a blast while watching it. Hope the next one continues with this winning streak.

Hades AU: Zagreus and Thanatos swap jobs temporarily
Send me an AU and I'll give you 5+ headcanons about it
1 It started as a simple question: "How hard is it taking souls?" And it ended up with Queen Persephone bringing the job swap to life, much to the headache of Lord Hades, who allowed it anyway as it was nearly impossible for him to deny his wife anything. Thanatos found himself giving scythe-wielding lessons to Zagreus, (Achilles did not have the right set of knowledge for scythes, he's afraid) and Zagreus found himself giving Thanatos the best tips and tricks to finish off an encounter quickly and how to best deal with the bosses at the end of each region.
2 Reaping souls was hard for Zagreus. Especially when the mortals would beg and plead not to die, that they still had so much they wanted to do before their time. The hardest part was reaping those whose times had come far too soon, tears in his own eyes and heart breaking as he claimed their souls. For Thanatos, taking on droves and droves of Lord Hades' legion was not without difficulty, (as the Olympeans didn't really give him any boons, except for Zeus to get a good jab at his brother, and Dionysus but because he thought it was funny), but he had a much easier time with the occupational swap. Dealing with Megaera proved to be quite challenging, as they had never needed to fight each other to the death before. He feels bad whenever he sends her down in red, much to her dismay, but she's still a good-sport about the exchange.
3 Charon and Hermes were shocked when they found Zagreus helping square away souls with them rather than Thanatos. Hermes couldn't resist giving Zagreus a hard time at his big, watery eyes for every soul he would load onto Charon's boat. Telling him 'Not to worry, because one day you'll learn how to do that on the inside' and patting his cheek while saying it. Charon gave him an understanding 'hrrngghhrahhh' and a small hug to make up for Hermes jest.
4 the worst part of the occupation switch for Thanatos was not the endless droves, or battling with the Furies or Lernie, no. The worst part was having to fight Theseus in the coliseum. When he walked in with Stygius molded to an aspect of his own, Theseus became physically incapable of shutting his pie-hole: "THANATOS? DEATH HIMSELF COMES TO CLAIM ME AGAIN? WHY TO THAT I SAY NO SIR! YOU ALREADY TOOK ME ONCE YOU BLACKGUARD AND I'LL BE DAMNED IF I GO DOWN TO YOU AGAIN! COME ASTERIUS LET US PUT DEATH IN HIS PLACE AND SHOW HIM JUST WHO RULES THE COLISEUM! NOW HAVE AT THEE YOU--" "Let us have a good fair fight, Death." Asterius simply says. Thanatos likes the bull-man way more than Theseus. He vaporizes Theseus first every time.
5 Thanatos puts up a good fight, but in the end is taken down by Lord Hades at the very end. Death finally experiences the thing he brings and he learns first-hand how and why mortals fear it. When he materializes back into the House of Hades, he finds a puffy-eyed Zagreus waiting for him, who grapples onto him immediately and says he doesn't have it in him to take souls, its too hard. Thanatos asks if Hermes told him that he'd learn to cry about it on the inside. Zagreus nods fervently and asks how he knows. He responds that 'Hermes told me the same thing when I took my first soul.' It's his way of saying 'you're doing a good job and it's good that you actually care'. Queen Persephone applauds them both at a job well done and how it was a very interesting experience and she would love to see another swap sometime soon. Lord Hades says they already wasted enough time on this and they should all get back to their original jobs. Both Zagreus and Thanatos gain even more understanding and respect for the others' jobs.

I bring a little snippet of my post war Hogan + family story which takes place at one of Daisy's tea parties, just keep in mind it's still a bit of a work in progress lol and you should be fine 😂
“More tea, Mr. Hogan?” Daisy giggled as she held up her small toy tea kettle.
“Why yes Ms. Daisy, I would love some,” Hogan replied in his best British accent.
Mr. Hogan he smiled to himself. I can’t remember the last time I was called that. Usually it’s General this and General that. Has a nice ring to it.
Daisy happily obliged her father’s request, filling his cup to the brim with pretend tea. “Be careful not to spill!”
“Oh no, we wouldn’t want that. Would be a waste of perfectly good tea!” Hogan said as he gently took his cup.
Daisy quickly grabbed her own tea cup, gently clinking it against her father’s in a toast before taking a sip and bursting into another fit of giggles.
“What’s so funny darling?” Hogan asked, barely able to hold in his own laughter at the sound of hers. It was one of the best sounds in the world.
“Daddy! You’re supposed to hold your pinky up like this when you drink your tea!” Daisy smiled as she grabbed her cup and showed him. “Didn’t Uncle Peter teach you anything?”
“How silly of me! How’s this?” Hogan held his cup up for her approval, pinky extended as far as it could go.
“Perfect.”
It was afternoons like these that made it all worthwhile. Sitting in the backyard with his young daughter, laughing and playing pretend until they were called in for supper. Daisy was the spitting image of her mother, except for those dark brown eyes of hers that twinkled with mischief - just like her father’s. And that twinkle was starting to shine right about now…
Hogan calmly took a sip from his cup, placing it gently back on its saucer on the table. Daisy looked entirely too pleased, and Hogan waited patiently for the inevitable surprise she had planned for this tea party. Hogan had been to enough of them to know that these things never ended peacefully.
“You’ve made a grave mistake, Mr. Hogan,” Daisy said in her best sinister voice.
Where the heck did she learn to talk like that? Hogan thought as he tried to stifle a chuckle.
“And what would that be, Ms. Daisy?” Hogan asked, trying to be as serious as he could manage.
“That tea you just drank, it’s poisoned.”
Hogan’s eyes widened in mock fear as he clutched at his throat, conveniently ignoring the fact that Daisy herself had drank the same tea. The girl was only four, so such a mistake could be ignored for the time being.
“Oh no! What am I going to do?” Hogan cried.
“Well, I have the antidote right here.” Daisy whipped out another small plastic cup she had been hiding in the pocket of her dress. “If you tell me where the queen’s jewels are hidden, I’ll give it to you, and you’ll be saved.”
“Hmm, that is a tough decision… How much time do I have to think it over?”
“Ten seconds!” Daisy cried.
“Oh dear, that’s not very much time. Whatever will I do?”
“5, 4, 3, 2, 1…”
“Okay, okay! I’ll tell you!” Hogan cried. “They’re hidden in the rose bushes. Now please give me the antidote!”
“Excellent! I knew you would crack under pressure, Mr. Hogan,” Daisy giggled as she gave him the cup. “Here is your antidote.”
As soon as she handed her father the cup, Daisy skipped off to the rose bushes to find the queen’s jewels. She was so engrossed in her little game that she hadn’t noticed her father sneaking up behind her…
“Gotcha!” Hogan smiled as he grabbed Daisy and swung her high in the air, her pigtails flying and the sound of her laughter filling the air.
“Daddy, that’s not fair!” Daisy laughed. “I gave you the antidote, but I haven’t found the queen’s jewels!”
“You thought you could outsmart me? A general?”
“I’ll get you next time, Hogan!” Daisy shook her fist playfully at her father. “You just wait till the next tea party!”
“I look forward to it, darling,” Hogan smiled as he held her, gently brushing her hair out of her face.
“Daisy! Robert! It’s time for dinner!” Hogan’s wife, May, called from the porch.
“Aww, but mommy, I haven’t found the queen’s jewels yet!” Daisy cried as her father carried her up the steps.
“Looks like it’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Your supper’s getting cold.”
“I’ll have you know this is under protest!” Daisy shouted as Hogan sat her down.
“Your protest has been duly noted,” May quipped as she patted Daisy on the head. “Now go take your seat at the table.”
“Yes, mommy,” Daisy sighed as she skipped off inside.
“You’re teaching her terrible habits you know,” May couldn’t help but smile at her husband.
“Oh she’ll turn out just fine. I did,” Hogan winked.
“That’s up for debate.”
“Hey, you agreed to marry me.”
“One of my poorer decisions, I have to admit.”
“Hey! Now I protest!”
“Your protest has also been duly noted, General. Now come inside and eat before your supper gets cold too.”
“Yes, ma’am!” Hogan saluted as he kissed his wife and followed her inside.

FIC WRITER INTERVIEW
Tagged by @laviejaguardia thank you amiguita!!
tagging if they desire: @captainjimothycarter @behindthelabels @teaandatale
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
26
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
589,675 😳
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Should the Stars Align w 745
Aim for the Heart w 328
Flowers w 307
The Untamed w 264
My 6 Foot Romance w 193
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I definitely aim to! I've gotten worse at responding lately because I've been going through a lot lately but comments bring me so much joy and I love discussing my works with others so even if it's been a year I love to respond!
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I don't really do angsty/unhappy endings but I did write this drabble that is very angsty. For one of my longer fics, I would say in silent screams and wildest dreams just because while technically it ends well, I didn't perfectly tie things up.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Like all of them lol, but maybe Cherry on Top just because that one is a fluff fest from start to finish.
7. Do you write crossovers?
I've never written one and currently don't have the inclination to do so, but I'm definitely open to it if the muse ever strikes!
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Like no outright hate, but some that have been filled with corrections on either grammar, spelling or that have told me my characterization was "incorrect" but like whatever.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Like Lina said on hers, whenever the mood strikes and the kind depends on the mood lol
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of (and I hope it stays that way)
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I have not but I'm totally open to it!
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
The thing is, I have many long burning ships and the fire has never gone out on them. What If...? has really re-lit the Steggy flame, and the stuff I write is mostly all about them so they're always way up there, but I must give an honourable mention to The Doctor/Rose and also Percabeth is currently making a STRONG comeback at the moment.
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Okay. So there's this Steggy fic. I started it years ago and I only have a few scenes written but it's definitely going to be a multi-chapter fic. The whole premise is that Steve is the only child of Queen Sarah, and Peggy is the prince's personal bodyguard. Problem is, Steve can't inherit the throne because it's a matriarchal line. When Queen Sarah has a health scare, she decides to take matters into her own hands and find her son a suitable wife and future queen so that her son can still maintain the throne in the event of her early passing. However, Peggy's not a fan of the options presented - for more than just the obvious reasons.
15. What are your writing strengths?
I think I'm good at characterization and getting their voices/dialogue pretty good!
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Honestly I have to work really hard on my plots to make sure they're tight because very often there are holes in them or they don't tie up/flow as smoothly as much as I'd like. It's why I usually prefer to write the whole thing at once and then post it, because that way I can catch things/find my way out of the corners I tend to write myself into.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I enjoy it! I use multiple languages in my life. Though the characters I normally write for don't really use multiple languages so it's something I would like to find a way to incorporate more, maybe in other fandoms/works eventually.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Unposted Star Wars (Han/Leia), posted the MCU (Steggy)
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
I'm not burning for it at the moment (I'm struggling to get much writing done recently for my main fandom) but I do think at one point I'd like to write for Doctor Who, since I love reading for Nine/Rose & Ten (or Tentoo)/Rose it but there's some things I haven't found that I would like to write.
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
I do like all of my fics a lot, but I would say my top three in no particular order are:
Get In, Get Out (I'm very proud of my writing in this one)
The Untamed (I left a lot open as to what happens leading up to the very last scene of the fic and I want to keep exploring it sometime)
My Daughter's Keeper (I just adore this universe)
