london fog.

pairing ; clark kent x m!reader. fandom: ; dc, superman. word count ; 1094. genre; fluff. rating ; pg. warnings ; awkward interactions incoming, male reader is embarrassing, clark is nervous and likes hot drinks on a hot summer day, didn't proof-read, sorry! my toes actually curled at how cringy reader was being, i'm so sorry.

“london fog for clark?” your voice is at ease and your motions even more so as you topped the hot latte with milk foam, capping the drink with a lid after. a smile that rivaled the sunny day has been brewing on your face since you took the familiar customer’s order and thankfully, things moved at a leisurely pace today, meaning you had a few more seconds than usual to spare with him.

“how come you still called my name even though there’s no one here?” his name is clark, often comes in before work or during lunch. but these days, he’s been doing both, which you couldn’t complain about. the man’s presence makes the opening shift worth it, even if you could only speak to him for a few seconds.

as usual, he’s in his work attire, sans the blazer that you often see him wearing in the morning, and he still looks at you with that friendly smile of his, black hair whipped back with tiny strands falling downwards as his hair wax has obviously loosened over the day. clark’s presence never failed to prepare you for the long day ahead or comfort you after an intense hour of appeasing patronizing customers. adding in his ability to look effortlessly handsome every day, his generosity in tipping, and his amiable personality, it didn’t take too long for clark to become your favorite customer.

“i just like saying your name! clark! i’ve never met anyone named clark before.” you pass the cup to him as you maintained eye contact. a gentle brush of his fingertips almost breaks your gaze, but you catch yourself, only breaking to fetch and occupy his hand with a bagged sandwich. “on the house.”

“oh- hey, i can’t! let me pay for this.” you confirm to yourself that pretty privilege was indeed real and you can’t believe you fell victim to it, but… it isn’t so bad when the culprit is a genuinely kind person.

after taking a sip, clark clumsily sets everything down on the counter to fumble for his wallet. the sound of pennies and quarters falling onto the marbled floor echoes and you could evidently see clark’s cheeks grow redder the more coins fall, but you stop him before he could empty his wallet out even further. he stares back at you wide-eyed and you couldn’t help but laugh at how cute he looks when he’s embarrassed, especially since he’s bigger and taller, a physique that you often associated with a bodyguard or some sort of superhero, and you don’t think those types of people tend to be flustered much… do they?

“it’s fine. we’re working on a new recipe, so consider yourself… a test rat!” you gather the fallen coins that managed to land on the counter into your palm before handing it back to him. a slight waste of time, only because clark slots them, along with a couple dollar bills, into the tip jar immediately after.

“well… uh… i’m happy to test anything if it means seeing more of you.” was he flirting? or was that a joke? maybe it was nothing?! your inexperience condemns you to overanalyzing his words, his tone, his body language, everything, and you’d figure you wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight with these questions running rampant.

“oh- definitely! you won’t be disappointed, clark.” you’re flustered and that reflects in your voice. a voice that was once at ease not even a minute ago quickly becomes staggered. you stammer like a school boy confessing to his crush, and you could feel your eyes shutting for a moment in embarrassment when you realize how nervous you sound. “they work me like a dog so- i’m always here, hah!”

you snort in midst of the awkward laugh that you and clark both share and you want to hide in a hole somewhere. maybe not too deep since you still want to be alive and breathing to see clark again, but somewhere far, far, far away from this painful interaction.

a painful interaction that makes you all the more endearing, clarks thinks to himself.

“i-uh. yeah, well hopefully not too hard to the point where you faint at work or something.” clark adds onto the topic and god, you wish you could change subjects right now.

“haha, yeah! maybe i’ll signal for superman or something!” you don’t know why but you find yourself naturally stepping back as if there was a spotlight awaiting your tony-winning performance.

“help, help! superman! i’m gonna faint! catch me!”

and the recipient of the most embarrassing interaction goes to…

you’re red in the face, hot in the neck, clammy in the hands, and even clark’s wholesome laughter couldn’t save you from embarrassment. you force yourself to think he’s laughing with you (and he is), not at you, and that calms you down, just a tiny bit.

“great drinks and service, and now a show. i gotta come visit more often.” clark occupies his hands once again with his drink and sandwich, nodding you off. “thank you- again. i’ll see you tomorrow?”

“yea-“ the sound of a bell cuts you off and you look over to the source—another customer. “y-yes! tomorrow.”

clark’s voice is faint when he bids you goodbye, but you were already off to the other side of the cafe, tending to the customer, and eventually too focused to notice his exit when a line of customers quickly forms.

you work quickly within the next few minutes, knocking the orders down in an impressive personal record, and a huge weight lifts off your shoulders when you call out the last order of the line, until that bell chimes in again.

three more hours to go. you sighed, tired on your feet as you walk your way towards the ordering counter, greeting the customer.

“hello! welcome to-“

“i’m sorry, i lied. not tomorrow.”

you slow your approach, taking a moment to register what the familiar man was saying. “wha- clark? what do you mean?” usually you’d smile when you see him—clark—but he seems conflicted, disheveled, a stark contrast to his usual friendly demeanor, and so you could only muster a soft half-smile out of worry.

“can i see you tonight?”

clark stands tall, but not confident as he waits for your answer, nervously shifting his weight onto on his toes and heel, hands dug into his pockets.

“i-uh. yeah. i get off at five-“

“five…” clark ponders for a quick moment before nodding, gracing you with that comforting smile of his. you're at ease again, if you ignore the incredibly annoying swell in your chest.

“i’ll see you at five.”

My wife and I have been talking about cancelling Netflix because of all the issues with one of their recent movies. We are doing our homework to be well informed about our decision but I ran across this very timely story which seems to put it in a very sobering perspective!

Some years ago when I was a pastor, I walked into my church office after a Sunday morning service to find a little brown bag on my desk containing three chocolate brownies. Some thoughtful and anonymous saint who knew my love for chocolate had placed them there, along with a piece of paper that had a short story written on it. I immediately sat down and began eating the first brownie as I read the following story:

Two teenagers asked their father if they could go to the theater to watch a movie that all their friends had seen. After reading some reviews about the movie on the internet, he denied their request.

“Aw dad, why not?” they complained. “It’s rated PG-13, and we’re both older than thirteen!”

Dad replied: “Because that movie contains nudity and portrays immorality—which is something that God hates—as being normal and acceptable behavior.”

“But dad, those are just very small parts of the movie! That’s what our friends who’ve seen it have told us. The movie is two hours long and those scenes are just a few minutes of the total film! It’s based on a true story, and good triumphs over evil, and there are other redeeming themes like courage and self-sacrifice. Even the Christian movie review websites say that!”

“My answer is ‘no,’ and that is my final answer. You are welcome to stay home tonight, invite some of your friends over, and watch one of the good videos we have in our home collection. But you will not go and watch that film. End of discussion.”

The two teenagers walked dejectedly into the family room and slumped down on the couch. As they sulked, they were surprised to hear the sounds of their father preparing something in the kitchen. They soon recognized the wonderful aroma of brownies baking in the oven, and one of the teenagers said to the other, “Dad must be feeling guilty, and now he’s going to try to make it up to us with some fresh brownies. Maybe we can soften him with lots of praise when he brings them out to us and persuade him to let us go to that movie after all.”

About that time I began eating the second brownie from the little brown bag and wondered if there was some connection to the brownies I was eating and the brownies in the story. I kept reading…

The teens were not disappointed. Soon their father appeared with a plate of warm brownies which he offered to his kids. They each took one. Then their father said, “Before you eat, I want to tell you something: I love you both so very much.”

The teenagers smiled at each other with knowing glances. Dad was softening.

“That is why I’ve made these brownies with the very best ingredients. I’ve made them from scratch. Most of the ingredients are even organic. The best organic flour. The best free-range eggs. The best organic sugar. Premium vanilla and chocolate.”

The brownies looked mouth-watering, and the teens began to become a little impatient with their dad’s long speech.

“But I want to be perfectly honest with you. There is one ingredient I added that is not usually found in brownies. I got that ingredient from our own back yard. But you needn’t worry, because I only added the tiniest bit of that ingredient to your brownies. The amount of the portion is practically insignificant. So go ahead, take a bite and let me know what you think.”

“Dad, would you mind telling us what that mystery ingredient is before we eat?”

“Why? The portion I added was so small. Just a teaspoonful. You won’t even taste it.”

“Come on, dad, just tell us what that ingredient is.”

“Don’t worry! It’s organic, just like the other ingredients.”

“Dad!”

“Well, OK, if you insist. That secret ingredient is organic…dog poop.”

I immediately stopped chewing that second brownie and I spit it out into the waste basket by my desk. I continued reading, now fearful of the paragraphs that still remained.

Both teens instantly dropped their brownies back on the plate and began inspecting their fingers with horror.

“DAD! Why did you do that? You’ve tortured us by making us smell those brownies cooking for the last half hour, and now you tell us that you added dog poop! We can’t eat these brownies!”

“Why not? The amount of dog poop is very small compared to the rest of the ingredients. It won’t hurt you. It’s been cooked right along with the other ingredients. You won’t even taste it. It has the same consistency as the brownies. Go ahead and eat!”

“No, Dad…NEVER!”

“And that is the same reason I won’t allow you to go watch that movie. You won’t tolerate a little dog poop in your brownies, so why should you tolerate a little immorality in your movies? We pray that God will not lead us unto temptation, so how can we in good conscience entertain ourselves with something that will imprint a sinful image in our minds that will lead us into temptation long after we first see it?”

I discarded what remained of the second brownie as well as the entire untouched third brownie. What had been irresistible a minute ago had become detestable. And only because of the very slim chance that what I was eating was slightly polluted. (Surely it wasn’t…but I couldn’t convince myself.)

What a good lesson about purity! Why do we tolerate any sin? On the day of the Passover, the Israelites were commanded to remove every bit of leaven from their homes. Sin is like leaven—a little bit leavens the whole lump (1 Cor. 5:6). Jesus, “our Passover” (1 Cor. 5:7), and sin, don’t mix.

Help us, Lord, to “cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Cor. 7:1).

Hate evil, you who love the Lord (Ps. 97:10)

A Gathering Storm by Joanna Chambers - 4.75/5 stars

I kept getting the Madame Leota room from Haunted Mansion stuck in my head as I was reading this (not a bad thing!). This book has a surprisingly low rating on the Storygraph, and I'm not going to torture myself by looking at the reviews, but I'm assuming it's because of the power discrepancy between Ward and Nick. Clearly it didn't bother me as I really enjoyed the book!

Dionysus in Wisconsin by EH Lupton - 4.75/5 stars

At some point I might get tired of Mid-Century Modern romances, but not this day. This book was super fun, with an interesting world and lovely characters. And a Midwest setting! I've spent a lot of time in Madison, Wisconsin, where this book is set, so I got the added bonus of knowing most of the places pretty well. There was even a shoutout to an obscure piece of Madison history, the Lost City in the Arb. I have to get the second book in the series now!boy

Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan - 3.25/5 stars

I gave this book an extra quarter of a star for being written in 2003, when it would have been genuinely pretty groundbreaking. Reading it in 2024, it's very twee and pretty cringey (the queer utopia town would have been a magical fantasy in 2003, not so much now in a lot of places). When Levithan credited Francesca Lia Block's Weetzie Bat books in the acknowledgements, I though, ah. No wonder. Hated those as a teen.

All that said, there's some genuinely lovely writing in this book, and it has its place in the queer canon.

The Greywacke by Nick Davidson - 5/5 stars

Super interesting nonfiction about the discipline of geology and how the early geologic epochs were figured out. Also gave me an idea for a historical romance about gay Victorian geologists.

Home Grown Talent by Joanna Chambers & Sally Malcolm - 5/5 stars

I think I loved this one more than the first in the series. The social media scandal was perfect, in that it was exactly as absurd as every social media scandal is, and thus hilarious, but also chilling in how even something so stupid can ruin people's lives.

Soooo I think it's safe to say the official Arcana Instagram made a mistake when posting a pic of Julian with the caption "What would you want to do with/to him?" I'm not judging but some of those comments.. In any case it got me thinking. I've already written alot about what I'd like to do with a few characters but why not? Maybe these will become headcannons or short stories later, who knows? That being said this IS SFW, very PG!! (I'm not against NSFW or anything I'm just not sure how to write it well, ya know? Currently these are my Drarry stories (not including drabbles), Scarry (including drabbles), Other Slash pairings, and Het pairings. I will be adding My gen fics, gift drabbles, etc... as I get more time. Most can all be found on AO3 right now but just not organized. :)

Just a quick note about commenting on my fics. I love comments and to engage with my readers. If you have a question, comment, or whatever I'm open to discussion. As long as it's not a flame, I'll usually respond back. I do ask that you read my tags, warnings, and notes as many of my fics contain controversial genres and situations. I don't bite or even claw so feel free to inquire.

Hi! Welcome to my HP fanfic collection. I became an HP fanfic reader in 2005 and then writer in 2006. I took an almost decade break in 2012 but put my toes back into the waters now and then to respond to comments or make a post on LJ. I came back into fandom full force in June 2021 when I signed up for HP_fan_fair. H/D, HPDM, or Drarry has always been my OTP, but Scarry is my second. But I also love to write the rare-pair now and then along with gen short stories. I've separated my fics out by my writing era and then by ship.

All of my fics are individually rated and have warnings. However, we did rate and tag things differently back in the day, so if you think I should add a warning or tag, send me a message. I assure you, there were no bad intentions involved.

My Drabbles can be assumed to be G to PG, unless otherwise noted. I love writing drabbles and I hope that some readers will take the time to look at a few of them. *g*

Most of my stories are now posted on AO3 and are not to be copied to any other site without my permission. (historically they were originally posted on various HP fanfic sites. Majority of H/D were on Hex Files.

As I was a prolific writer back-in-the-day (2006-2012) and then took a very long hiatus (10 years), I'll be listing my current stories first. After that, it will be a mishmash of ships and gen. I hope you find something you like!

Drarry & Haphne (Harry/Daphne)

The Azkaban Letters (WIP 2024): This WIP was started in 2007 and has been updated bi-weekly since summer of 2023.

Summary: Harry and Draco’s lives are headed in two different directions. One is destined for death or glory, while the other is going to Azkaban. Harry needs answers, and he goes to visit his Slytherin nemesis while being held for trial. The meetings in a barren, white cell changes Harry’s life. He learns the beginnings of his rich family history that had been denied him. And that there's much more to fight for than just ridding the world of Voldemort. HBP compliant.

Note: This fic was started before HPDH was released. It is canon divergent after HBP. This fic has two Main Pairings and both are treated with respect and will have a happy ending. I chose to use AO3's: Creator Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings because of the underage sexual scenes (all are 17 and consensual).

Pansmione (Pansy/Hermione)

The Supergrass (Valentine's 2024) written for HP Sapphic's Valentines (prompt Auror/Criminal)

Summary: For the past year, Auror Hermione Granger has been coming monthly to Sister Hildegard's Wellness Emporium (attached to St Mungo's) for her Healer-ordered full-body massage because of work-induced stress and injuries. It was the perfect cover for meeting with the DMLE's main supergrass, Pansy Parkinson, who was now a trained masseuse thanks to the Ministry's Criminal Rehabilitation Act. An Act that Hermione Granger had pushed for through her connections at the Wizengamot. A contractual promise was made to Pansy that after one year, if her information led to the arrests and convictions of wanted Dark Wizards, her court-ordered probationary period of ten years for supporting Voldemort and those that served him, would be reduced to time already served. She would be free from all Ministry restrictions.

Today, Valentine's Day, is their last meeting.

Note: Supergrass is a British slang term for an informant who turns King's evidence, often in return for protection and immunity from prosecution.

More Than A Legend (Christmas 2023) A Drarry Christmas Story

Summary: Harry volunteers to be Father Christmas at Hogwarts, without truly understanding what it entails.

The first 5 chapters of this fic were written in 2009. I finally completed the final 2 chapters in 2023. In addition, the amazing Ihopeyoustaysafefromharm Illustrated this fic (FTH). This fic is a lot of fun and filled with Father Christmas Cheer!

Rating: Mature Wordcount: 18K Warnings & Enticements: Romance, Explicit Language, Sexual Content, Christmas Legend, Mentions of: Animal Sacrifice, Slavery, and Prostitution. Liberties taken with historical accuracy of Christmas' origins.

Terminal Lucidity (Autumn 2023) written for hd_career-fair

Summary: Harry leaves his Auror position when his dreams drive him to a new profession. One that brings peace to the soul before Death arrives.

This is one of my shortest but probably on of most impactful fics. It was written for gnarf and deals with caring for someone at the end of their life (not Harry or Draco). Harry is the Master of Death.

Rating: Gen Wordcount: 3.2K Warnings: MCD. Enticements: Harry and Draco become a couple later in life. In this fic, they are probably in their early 50s and have merged their families. The whole family will miss their beloved Nana Narcissa.

Drarry

The Roommate (Winter 2022) written for @hd-erised

Summary: After one year in Azkaban and two years of home arrest, Draco is going off to college. Myrrdin College is Oxford’s magical college, where one Harry Potter is currently attending. Both are going for their teaching certificates with Draco specialising in Potions and Harry in Defence Against the Dark Arts. The Headmistress has insisted all incoming professors must be degreed. However, the Board of Governors insist that Draco also must live in a Muggle house with limited allowance and take Muggle elective courses before he can become Hogwarts' new Potions Professor. Harry is coerced by others into helping Draco Malfoy survive in the Muggle world.

This is a soft fic. I wouldn't say fluffy as there are major subjects discussed and dealt with but angst between the two is not present. Harry's goal is to make Draco fall in love with the Muggle world...and he might have succeeded to well. So wrap yourself up in the warm blanket of The Roommate, oh and Scamp the cat, too!.

Rating: M Wordcount: 42K Warnings: This fic contains a brief fatphobic comment, implications of past food insecurity, and references to past corporal punishment of a child. In addition, mentions of Trichotillomania and lice are briefly discussed. Enticements: Scamp the cat, Draco learning about Muggle appliances, Blaise insisting Draco watch Legally Blonde.

Eight Days a Week (Summer 2022) written as a chapter fic...just because.

Summary: This is foremost a love story and second it's about those growing up years. Becoming adults with adult lives and adult decisions. Yes, Harry's a Trainee-Auror and Draco's a Healer-in-Training after the war. Yes, Harry eventually moves into 12 Grimmauld Place. And, yes, attraction happens between Harry and Draco and they fall in love, but then there's more. Draco is now free from Voldemort, free from fear of going to Azkaban, free from his Father's beliefs, and free to be the person, the witch, the woman she always felt she should be. And for Harry, it’s time to lose the shackles of his childhood and discover who he really is and what’s truly important in life. This story begins one year or so after the Battle at Hogwarts and follows their relationship faithfully for two years. The final chapter will take place later in their lives.

This is a positive transition story without body dysphoria, but will contain moments where prejudice and slights arise. This story is categorized as M/F.

Summary: The holiday scenes cover 2001-2023 followed by a future scene. The majority are under 500 words, but there are a few over 1K. The complete set is very family oriented as we learn more about the children's backgrounds and how Harry and Libby cope. Lots of fun!

Every Cottage Has A Story (March 2022) written for Salt and Pepper Fest 2022

Summary: Harry and Ginny Potter live in a cottage in Hogsmeade. The previous owner was their eldest son James Sirius Potter, but he now lives in the home he grew up in, 12 Grimmauld Place. The switch happened years before, when his third child came along, and the cottage was too small for the family and Grimmauld Place was too large for his parents. How Draco Malfoy fit into his parents lives he wasn’t quite sure. James did know that his brother and brother-in-law were the instigators of the situation, though. When they became friends in the House of Slytherin, eventually their parents did too. After the death of Astoria, Draco was known to bring a friend, always a different friend, to family occasions. Summary: It’s summer and the war is over. Harry is busy in Auror training, attending Wizengamot trials for Slytherin classmates, and having tea with Narcissa Malfoy. Draco is at Hogwarts sharing deep dark secrets with classmates whilst helping with the reconstruction. Someone on the Wizengamot doesn’t think the older Slytherin students should be allowed to return to Hogwarts, whilst Harry does. Repressed emotions get the better of him. After storming out of the Ministry swearing never to come back, but before he lifts his wand for the Knight Bus outside of the Leaky Cauldron on his quest for a normal life, there’s a kiss in the Slytherin boys’ dormitories. A/N: This was so much fun to write. It might be the softest of the longer fics I've written but I wouldn't say fluffy as serious concepts are dealt with. It does feature a purring Draco...literally.

This Ain't the Garden of Eden (Autumn 2021) written for@hd-fan-fair (career edition).

Summary: In 2020, Hit Wizard Harry is starting to enjoy his life. He’s divorced, and no longer Head Auror. His biggest project these days is trying to remodel 12 Grimmauld Place for him and the kids. Draco Malfoy is recovering from his wife’s death. But is happy with his Ministry position as Temporary Head of the Department of Intoxicating Substances, and with his son who he adores. This all changes quickly when Minister Shacklebolt decides not to run for another term. The assumption is that 'all is well' in the British Magical world, and that Hermione Granger-Weasley will easily be voted in as the next Minister for Magic. However, Draco knows better. He knows she has a strong competitor who is wooing those who live in Knockturn. And if he wins, the Ministry, and all that has been accomplished the previous twenty odd years, will be destroyed Rating: Explicit Warnings: Nothing Major. Rotten Wood Draco/Pansy (Summer 2007). Rating: Mature Word Count: 2999 Summary: Missing Moment from canon. Draco is returning for his seventh year at Hogwarts. He boards the train knowing his status among his fellow Slytherins is in question. HPDH Compliant. Warning: This is not a Romantic fic Note: The title ‘Rotten Wood’ is a line from the song “Crooked Teeth” by Death Cab for Cutie. The song was the inspiration for this story. Probably the most in-character Draco I've written.

Green Boots Lucius/Hermione (Spring 2008). This was written for Shiv5486's 40th birthday. She is a huge Lumione fan and has a thing for shoes. Rating: Explicit Word Count: 600 (in drabble form). Being the Auror Commander had its benefits, but it also meant that he couldn't take many leaves. Harry got up from beside his suitcase and got on the bed. He threw the file on the nearby table, finding his place on Draco's lap, and hugging him tight. "Please, Dray?" He whispered. Draco closed his eyes, gaining both energy and patience to deal with his love, from Harry's warmth. "Har, I would really love to come with you. I would be lonely too, you know. Not to mention I want to be there for Ron and 'Moine too," He said, wrapping his arms around Harry. "Then come with me. Please," Harry said. "Duty calls, Harry...," Draco sighed, trying to make Harry understand yet again. "If you're not coming, I won't go either," Harry stated adamantly. Draco's eyes snapped open. Merlin. "Love, 'Moine and Ron really need you there right now. You heard Ron on the phone, he's going absolutely mad. Hermoine won't stop weeping. They're both out of sorts. They just lost a child, it isn't easy on them. You have to be there for them." Draco spoke, rubbing Harry's back. "Plus, it's just 14 days. You'll be back soon enough," He added, knowing full well 14 days was quite long. Draco pulled Harry from his chest, revealing his tear-stained face. Draco's eyes widened. "Hey! love, no, come on. Don't do this, We talked abou-" Harry cut him off, pressing his lips onto Draco's. Draco closed his eyes and pulled Harry closer. "Promise to think about me," He said, gazing into Draco's silver eyes. "I can't stop that from happening even if I wished so, 'm love" Draco smiled. Harry sniffled. "I'll miss you," "So will I, Harry. I love you," Draco said, wiping Harry's cheeks. "I love you too, Dray,"

One Rule

Daniel had one rule he followed on race weekends. No sex.

It was a Grand Prix weekend and the first one y/n’s been able to attend all season. While Daniel was excited to have his girlfriend cheering him on during qualifying today, he wasn’t too thrilled about what a tease she’s been as of late. She was proving to be quite the distraction. Not exactly what he needed leading up to a big race.

It was a bit out of character for y/n. She normally tried to be as unassuming as possible during race weekends. The last thing she wanted was to jeopardize Daniel’s focus or performance. She mostly stayed out of sight and out of mind allowing him to get into the right headspace. She understood being a driver’s girlfriend required sacrifice. Fortunately for her, Daniel never asked for much. He really only had one rule during race weekends. No sex.

Now, if you know Daniel, you know he’s not really a follow-the-rules type of guy. He was more of a rule-breaker if anything. So for him to even have a no-sex rule at all, meant it was something he took seriously.

This all started very early on in his career after a horrible performance during a race he happened to have sex prior to. Needless to say, that race was one of the worst he’s ever had. Whether that incident was a fluke or if the sex really did affect his performance, only God knows. Either way, since then Daniel made it a rule to never have sex before driving. Whether that be for free practice, qualifying, or the actual race.

In accordance with his no-sex rule, the couple kept it PG these past few days sharing nothing more than some chaste kisses. It was driving Y/n up the wall. This rule never really bothered her before. But it had been so long since she and Daniel got to spend any real time together. It’s probably been around a month since they last saw each other in person. Every part of her missed him. His presence. His touch.

Y/n was just about ready to accept defeat until last night when Daniel’s resolve started to show signs of wavering. When Daniel finally parked the car, there was no denying the very visible tent that had formed in his jeans.

“Y/n,” Daniel groaned irritatedly. There were going to be cameras everywhere. There was no way he could walk out of his car like this.

She quickly feigned innocence. “What?”

He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. “You know what. I can’t go out on the paddock like this right now.”

“Well all you have to do is let me help you take care of that then,” y/n pouted.

“Y/n, c’mon now. You know we can’t,” Daniel reminded her. His voice lacked any actual conviction though. “I just need a second to relax.”

Daniel closed his eyes, started to take deep breaths. In and out. In and out. It seemed to work as the tightness in his jeans started to let up.

That feeling didn’t last long though as y/n used this moment to feel him up through his jeans. Daniel’s eyes shot open as he inhaled sharply at the feeling. His hand gripped her wrist tightly but made no effort to remove her hand.

Y/n slapped his chest playfully. “Well, I mean at least now you know that stupid rule of yours was just bull shit.”

“Nah I’m not so sure,” Daniel started, before shooting her a wink. “I think we need to test it out again tomorrow before my race. See how well I perform then.”

If you ask for cuddles, he will give you cuddles

Gregor makes you feel secure, whole, as he holds you tightly to him

When he did this you couldn’t help but kiss him, but you would usually start laughing into the kiss

“Alright so…that’s my plan.” Smokescreen says, gesturing to the hole that you two fell into.

You cross your arms and look at the entrance, and your only exit, to the hole. Afterward, nod your head slowly.

“It sounds like it could work…” You reply. Smokescreen’s door wings twitch upwards, followed by a grin spreading across his face.

“Except that it fragging sucks.” You finish, as Smokescreen’s shoulders slump, followed by his door wings.

“If I wanted criticism, I would’ve asked for it-” He pauses. “And that wasn’t constructive criticism either!”

“Yes, it was. It’ll help us construct a better plan.”

“What’s wrong with my plan?” Smokescreen asks. You blink at him.

“Smokescreen, you suggested that I transform and you ride on top of me and fly us out of here.” You say.

“It could work!” Smokescreen huffs. “We won’t know if we don’t try.”

. . .

It did not, in fact, work. It didn’t work the second, or a third time either. Smokescreen tried to get you to try a fourth time, but you had given up already. You were certain you had dents all over your wings and aft as well.

You try your comm again but are only met with static.

“How long have we been stuck down here?” Smokescreen asks.

You shrug. “Since we fell in here.”

Smokescreen frowns. “I didn’t ask for the smart afted response [Y/N].”

“Smokescreen, you should know that everything out of my mouth is sarcastic or rude.” You say, grinning, and dramatically bowing for good measure.

You step backward and sit on a large rock. A shiver goes through your frame again.

“I’m gonna be getting sand out of my fans for cyber-weeks.” You mutter, wings twitching in annoyance. Smokescreen doesn’t respond, too busy trying to climb the stone wall again. “Kid, you’re not gonna make any further up there then I did-”

Smokescreen lets out a shout, as he tumbles to the ground again. This time, you hear a crack, digits tightening on your arms as Smokescreen groans. He rolls over onto his stomach, optics widening along with yours.

One of his door wings is snapped, a large crack in the middle.

Smokescreen gets up, groaning, holding up a hand as you get up to try and help.

“M’ fine.” He starts, walking over to sit next to you. “Optimus and the others will be here soon. Probably.”

“They will be.” You added.

“Can’t you just fly out of here and find them?” Smokescreen asks, crossing his arms. “It’d be much quicker.”

“I’m not leaving you down here by yourself, Smokescreen,” You began. “Besides, this area was crawling with Decepticons before we got trapped down here. If I fly out they’ll figure out where we are. I’m not letting you get captured by them again.”

Smokescreen doesn’t say anything, but his other (not injured) door wing twitches.

“You uh…wanna play never have I ever?” He asks.

. . .

Another hour has gone by, but you two barely even noticed. Laughter rings from inside the hole you’re stuck in, as the sunlight begins to dwindle.

“Seriously?” Smokescreen yells. “You’ve never had any high grade before?”

You shake your head. “Nope. I’m not having any either. It’s gross.”

“No, it isn’t.” Smokescreen replies. “You just haven’t had the right kind of high grade before.”

You cross your arms. “Okay okay, my turn.” You pause, thinking for a moment. “Never have I ever…gotten glitches.”

“Wow. That was low.”

“Ah, you are femme-less then?” You ask.

Smokescreen snorts, playfully hitting you in the shoulder. “No! I mean, I haven’t actually spark bonded with someone before but, I had a spark mate back on Cybertron.”

“Ooh. Do tell!” You retort.

“Oh please. It was a temporary thing, I didn’t even know her too much. We broke it off after I graduated from the academy.” Smokescreen says, waving his hand at you. “Have you ever had a spark mate?”

You snort. “Pits no. I never had time for that, y’know? All the war and such. I’m actually surprised that this squadron has so much downtime.”

Smokescreen tilts his head, before blinking. “Oh. I forgot you were a Wrecker. You stayed on Cybertron after Optimus and the others left, didn’t you?”

You nod. “Yep. Commanded by good ol’ Ultra Magnus. Pretty nice bot to talk to once you get a few drinks in him.”

Smokescreen snorts, chuckling into his hand. “And here I thought he was just some old bot with a rod up his aft.”

You shake your head, as silence envelopes the two of you.

“Y’know, I like you Smokescreen,” You state. “You…remind me of what we’re fighting for.”

Smokescreen freezes, doorwings twitch as he leans close to you. “Huh?”

“You’ve never seen Cybertron in all its glory, right?”

“No.” Smokescreen sighed. “I emerged from the Well in the middle of the war. I…remember almost being blown to bits the moment I emerged actually.” He chuckles softly.

Silence.

“I like you too, by the way.” Smokescreen starts. “You’re…special…to me.”

“How special?” You ask.

Smokescreen freezes. “well…uh…I think about you…a lot.”

You raise an optical ridge, turning to face him fully.

“and…I worry about you every time you go…on patrol.”

“Every time?”

“Every. Time.”

Oh.

OH.

“Smokescreen, I don’t wanna be that guy but…That is the worst love confession I’ve ever heard.”

Smokescreen gawks at you. “A-are you serious! I-”

He slaps his servos onto his faceplates, groaning. You can hear his vents going as well. Softly.

“Now don’t overheat on me!” You laugh. “I really don’t wanna explain to Prime why you’re hot to the touch.”

“But you just- do you even-”

“What, like you back?” You ask. “Yeah. Have for a while actually, especially after you came to base with that new look of yours.”

His doorwings twitch. “You’re not just messing with me, right?”

“Of course not.”

“Oh…” Smokescreen mutters, optics trailing onto the floor. “Does that mean…we’re…uh…together now?”

You nod.

Smokescreen grins.

“Cool.” He mutters. “Cool, okay.”

(Even after all of that, you still have to explain to Optimus why Smokescreen is overheating.)
