I have cnc blocked but I still shows your cnc posts and I'm not sure what to do
i'm sorry. it's bc i have a period after cnc probably. you'll have to specifically add the tag i use to your block list.
i tag it the way i do bc tumblr considers the normal tag "dangerous" and i'm positive that my account will get taken down if i use it.
unfortunately, tumblr is shit, and the ppl who run it don't seem to know that tags aren't just for finding content; they're for filtering it. like i'm sure they just want to get rid of certain content, but really they've created an environment where ppl aren't going to tag it, and ppl who rely on tags for blocking are now forced to see it.

krish's intro + tag list
pronouns: she/they
loml: @fixation-central (and they get a tag too: "#krish&adi get sappy on main")
it took like a year, but i've finally gotten annoyed enough at how disorganized my tumblr is to make tags for different content so that ppl can hopefully follow me for whichever fandoms/other shit they want, and block tags accordingly for the ones they don't
(but i'm also lazy, so i'm not going back to properly tag any of my previous posts except for ones abt my original work, like my fics/personal hcs i also do have literally the max number of posts in my queue right now which i can't be assed to go back and retag, so if you block some tags now you are still gonna see posts that should be in them until my current queue's all emptied... so probably for like a couple more weeks, sorry :/)
"#krish loves the incest dragon world" — A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon content
"#krish's ff: long live the queen": will edit this to add the ao3 link later bc i'm tired rn
"#krish loves the 🦇s" — mostly batfam stuff, but anything DCU will probably end up under here too
"#krish's ff: i have borne hellfire": a/b/o o!batman gen bruce&jason fic, will also edit/add the ao3 link later
"#krish loves magic and hates TERFS" — ...y'all know which fandom this is
"#krish loves the riordanverse" — percy jackson content + possibly some other riordanverse stuff occasionally
"#krish's magpie era" — any random pretty (non-fandom) thing i see that i wanna reblog, bc why not
"#krish likes memes"/"#krish likes history"/“#krish likes science”/"#krish gets on her soapbox" — u get it (sidenote: support 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸, btw)
if you are following me (for some fucking reason) and you have a suggestion for another/a more specific tag that would be nice to be able to filter out, just drop a suggestion in my askbox and i'll at least consider it
hope this helps, and y'all will enjoy my now slightly-better-curated bullshit :D

In response to that person thinking they ate calling you a “sex crazed maniac”
There are writers on tumblr(and all other fic/writing apps and sites) that write mostly smut or ONLY smut writers and there are mostly/only fluff and other non smut writers as well. Why do people feel the need to comment what they perceive to be something negative about smut/sex on an account that is clearly a smut account?
Also why do people assume that sex is bad and if you’re into sex a lot it’s crazed and unhealthy. You’ve made many posts and fics/drabbles etc about smut with heavy doses romance and love and fluff in it(and sometimes angst and all the things). Do people not understand that sex is healthy and sex with passion and love and romance is truly beautiful. Do they not understand that not everyone has that in their life at this moment in time. Do people not also understand that everyone has different sex drives and interests in sex?
Also if you don’t like smut go find a non smut writer and stop being nasty to people on the internet. Also while I’m here, to everyone else that gets in these writers asks and demand updates or new fics or responses or demand they write what you want: where do you get the audacity? These people are not being paid or compensated whatsoever(aside from some tips they get occasionally). They’re writing for themselves and maybe their friends and moots. They’re simply sharing with us FOR FREE, and sometimes ideas are thrown around or they’ll ask in a poll what we’d prefer and make it interactive.
ah That was more of a rant than I intended….but I really hate seeing so negativity online like this. If you have nothing nice to say then just keep it to yourself babe. Not being negative is so easy 🖤
🖤Anon
I'm on my bluetooth keyboard and i was finally able to figure out how to paste emoji's in the tag list!!
I probably am a 'sex craved maniac' so i don't even feel offended, I probably am.
Yeah, there are tags you can use to filter smut out or simply toggle the 'hide explicit material' setting on your account.
I think it's because anonymity is so privileged on here, people will just say anything as long as it makes them feel good inside.
This is a great conversation to bring up that there is a hUGE difference between sex and intimacy that immature people are just not going to understand on here.
I like to say that I write fics with plotline that incorporates sexual intimacy into my pieces.
Because I think there is a difference (neither is better than the other) with writing SMUT and then writing fics with sexual/suggestive themes.
They are both hot and sexy to read depending on what you're looking for.
Sex with passion, love and romance is absolutely sexy and satisfying.
A one night stand with a stranger can also be sexy and satisfying.
The latter is something I'm not into personally but I don't judge and can totally GET why some people are into it.
Actually, now I'm wanting to rant with you because I was watching a Tiktok where a girl who was part of the BDSM community ranted on about how ppl with 'vanilla' and 'soft' interests are boring and it just frustrates me so much ahhh!
Firstly, that user is not properly aligned with the community because I know people who are ETHICALLY part of the BDSM community do not talk about 'vanilla' sex in that way.
Just because some ppl aren't into rough sex, does not mean they are prudish, boring or 'bad' at sex at all.
I was bullied ALOT throughout school and quite badly, to the point where I was almost...going to fly off the edge (if you know what I mean).
So, rough and degrading sex would extremely trigger me and bring up all those horrific memories but that is just me and I know for some people, rough and degrading sex can be quite cathartic.
And I also don't think being 'kinky' just means being into 'rough sex'.
I feel like my 'Taste' fic with Mommy!May is still 'kinky' because it incorporates food play but it's still soft and sweet to read.
The audacity to constantly demand updates or quick responses is so real and I think it's why so many writers (including me) get burnt out on here so quickly.
I love writing but it can be so mentally and emotionally exhausting to write at times and that's why a lot of writers do continuously say that likes don't help them in writing.
Sometimes comments and reblogs are the only thing that is keeping people motivated to write on here, I know for me I have thought about walking away from writing smut for awhile but the positive interactions and comments, reblogs on here are what keep me going.
I could say a lot more but this could turn into a university level essay so I'm stopping here for now...
But thank you, my beautiful anon for providing such insights to have these really eye-opening conversations.

This place is not a place of honor... no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here... nothing valued is here. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.
Though if you were able to find this place you're probably someone I trust. So, if you still wish to proceed I honestly don't really mind if you visit respectfully. There's not really much of note here.
All I ask though is that you at the very least filter posts tagged "#void" before you scroll any further. so I can keep some control over this space. Ask me if you're curious about those and I'll show you though 🖤 I don't like keeping secrets, I just want this space to feel like mine. (Also if you don't know how to do that text me.)
(I'd also recommend filtering #hornyposting, but that's for your sake not mine. I am not ashamed.)

The Centers as sliding scales
Welcome to today’s entry from the Theory Post List
The idea here is to try & pin some fundamental mechanism that holds regardless of functionality level and complexes around it, and perhaps serve as a guide for ppl to pin the wings on their fixes if so desired.
Impulse Triad
8w7 – There’s almost no filter. Any impulse naturally comes and goes just as quickly once expressed. Sometimes more sanguine than choleric.
Im going to make the bold assertion that if you have this even as your last fix you’ve probably a tendency to sometimes blurt stuff out without thinking. If its your core theres no other filter on top, so you just do stuff.
8w9 – There is some delay, so the individual is not quickly provoked to response, but once the swing comes, it still comes all the way with no holding back, with a bit of extra pressure from the delay
9w8 – There’s still some tendency to simply act on the impulse, but the stronger it is, the more dissipation & delay you see. As a result, the individual shows irritation on small matters, but avoids far-reaching confrontations. This is probably the most ‚normal‘ configuration.
9w1 – Dissipation is the default, so you get a very ‚nice, civilized‘ person that is very hard to provoke into a reaction. What can’t be dissipated is redirected. So they may feel that they ‚should‘ always be nice in a way that 9w8 doesn’t.
1w9 – Little natural impulses get through – what isn’t redirected is dispersed. Hence usually a measured, sober or tightly controlled appearance.
The keyword is ‚directness‘ – Rather than natural impulses coming and going, there is a „linear motor“. The person starts and doesn’t stop. Actions are almost always deliberate & hence often focussed or meticulous – hence quickly changing goals are disliked.
1w2 – Pure redirection, with no dispersion.
Hence the difference in that 1w9s can come off stilted or subdued whereas 1w2s often read as passionate (preachers, political types etc.). 1w9 dissipates impulses that don’t pass the filter; 1w2 is pure redirection so the redirected response has the full ‚swing‘ of the original impulse behind it.
1w9 and 9w1 would hence appear as the ‚least animalistic‘/ ‚most civilized‘, in a diffuse vs. Controlled way respectively.
It’s also worth noting that the 1 component redirection is a quick, kneejerk thing based on subjective sensations of disgust, comfort or alignment, not a thought-through deliberate choice like what mental type would do – hence, its much quicker & less ‚costly‘ than thinking it through explicitly.
It’s like using a heuristic in optimization.
Emotional Triad
This has often been conceptualized with regards to identity – with 2 getting it from the outside, 4 from inner preferences and 3 both impressing others & inwardly deciding what ideals to embody. – Or which parts of identity one stresses, alone stuff  preferences & flaws, tangible archievements or relationship-related stuff – in both those frameworks wings would represent indeterminate settings like a 3w2 would stress archievements but also relationships – objective proof of popularity exists at this overlap, whereas 3w4 would have more ‚self-mythology‘ & rely more on conceptual ideas like wealth and titles.
But I think an even more fundamental underlying quality that the above ultimately derives from is directness and manner of emotional expression.
2 expresses directly (& hence leans a bit into action/impulse), 3 uses shared associations, 4 uses personal associations, mostly processes inwardly, showing the refined products of that inner processing through symbolic gestures.
You can see this rather well in art:
2: rather direct descriptions of feelings – im crying, i cant sleep, i was shaking etc.
3: pop culture references & cultural associations – ‚just like the movies‘, comparison to famous places or cultural tropes etc.
4: metaphors and symbolism made up on the spot – sometimes curating one’s own defined set personal aesthetic like Victorian Madwoman or Antichrist Superstar
Advertisement is sort of a cheap mass-produced knockoff of the 3 strategy – to make the masses associate certain emotions & aesthetics with a product. 3s call up the association the audience already has, 4s illustrate their own associations & use those but it’s a difference in strategy.
Hence why 2s are rarer in artists cause they express their feelings right away directly through actions. There isn’t a backlog that needs processing. Of course a 2 could still be repressed due to a tragic backstory or just do art simply because they want to/ for the love of it, they’re just less likely to need it as an outlet. Loads of ppl would prefer concrete actionable help over ‚look I worked long hours to buy us this suburban house, which is associated with happy families‘ or symbolic/romantic gestures. It’s just a difference in how ppl show love.
There you see the overlap with the analogies predominating in Conceptland, but unlike the head types 4 still has that primarily personal lens. (same for distinguishing, say, 2 and 9)
Often when a heart type tries to talk about a ‚big picture‘ narrative, they often turn it into a personal story.
Like a 3 will discuss an election & talk mostly about how her boyfriend supported her & how everyone was acting „like highschool students“, or 4 will do a song about a natural disaster by telling the story of an individual victim losing their beloved in the storm.
With head types you often see the opposite – „this shitty relationship is a metaphor for whats wrong with society“. Can’t help but fit it into a pattern.
2w1 – all direct expression, hence, feelings are often shown through action & service
2w3 – mostly direct expression, but with some shared associations that are put to the purpose of direct connection. Like wanting to be pretty like a celebrity so a particular person will like you.
3w2 – Referencing common associations predominates but still mixed with some direct expression, but there has been a shift in focus – getting direct adoration not as an end onto itself but as proof that you have ‚objectively measurable‘ popularity. The idea that if you do the things that are connected with worth & recognition you’ll get worth & recognition themselves that way.
3w4 – using common associations, but with personal style & flourishes, telling an embellishes life story etc. but still of the purpose of evoking association in others.
4w3 – stiff references common symbols but puts primarily them in their own context. For example, might have a thing about shakespeare because shakespeare is considered cultivated and deep, but will lampshade their own interpretation of it.
4w5 – Own associations only. Which means you need to lean a bit into the mental center to make them, though the purpose is still the refinement & expression of feelings.
Since you want others to respond your channel of expression, the different ways of attaining personal validation (& hence the identity stuff) follow as a consequence.
Mental Triad
The breakthrough realization here is that 6 is all about seeing information in context – such as relationships, agendas, morality, practical use etc. & generally having a sensitivity to context. It’s the ‚systhematic‘ intelligence.
7 then is multi-context thinking whereas 5 is looking at things apart from or independent of the original context, and the w6 variant of each is basically ‚still considering the original context a little bit‘. (& can’t avoid worrying about it, hence this is usually the more overtly anxious variant.)
It figures then why there’s a line of connection between the two because once you’ve taken something out of its context it becomes easier to plopp it in a new one, and conversely if you’re used to shifting things across contexts its a bit easier to see what remains the same every time.
7 is not just ‚associative‘, (that may describe 4 or 9 as well) but specifically improvisational. The extroverted ressourceful, thinking on your feet intelligence – you concoct a solution for this particular problem on the fly as needed & then move on.
Hence why Ti auxillaries are often 7 or w7 ‚activated on demand on behalf of the dominant‘ nature of the auxillary function. It’s making a solution, persuasive argument (...or rationalization) ad hoc as needed.
As for the 6s, there are some who masterfully apply the extra strenghts granted by their wing to practical problem solving with a perseverance that people with those cores probably wouldnt typically have, whereas others distrust & overcompensate for what they’d see as a tendency to stray from the safe waters of common sense. Like 6w7 believing that they or people in general are too easily taken in by new impressions, or 6w5s turning out really rigid or hypersceptical to avoid concocting any unrealistic nonsense.
Could be the same person depending on how confident they’re feeling today.
7w8 – all improv, hence leaning more on action/impulse.
7w6 – mostly improvisational but still particially using a ‚grid‘ or ‚map‘.
6w7 – mostly systhematic thinking but with a bit of improvisational – this is probably the most usual.
6w5 – systhematic thinking is strongly predominant, but with a bit of synthetizing function.
5w6 – still has some 6-like detail affinity & capacity to interface with other people’s maps or grids on a surface level, but they keep their own ‚filing system’.
Some individuals report a sense of being ‚probably incomprehensible‘ beneath a polite commonsense veneer and not wanting others to find that out.
5w4 – Everything gets plucked out of the OG context and put in your personal sorting algorithm, which means personal associations get mixed in or that it’ll be more shaped by your preferences. So it seems one cannot win, as one would be either be led astray by the crap of others or one’s own crap. The perfect midpoint of no undue influence is ellusive, if it exists at all.

Gay trans dating on
Tinder: Bots are here. Also men with dead fish. If you match with someone there’s at least a 90% chance they won’t respond to you. Sometimes all you get is an age and a black square. Sometimes you get a manifesto. Every man on earth is here and they’re all closer to being conventionally attractive then you are.
Bumble: Good amounts of info. You can list preference for kids, your religion, if you smoke, etc. Rates of convos are slightly higher on here but not much. The prompt feature is either used as an opportunity to tell jokes or people just give one word answers. This is the only place I have found date. Singular.
OK Cupid: More trans ppl per square inch but still nobody talks to you. A lot of info. Maybe too much info. You can for an entire book in that bio, I’m pretty sure.
Her: Cis men aren’t allowed here and all the other trans men got scared off by the lesbians that can’t take a hint. Don’t go there, Simba.
Grindr: Lots of headless torsos. Fine if you’re looking for hookups and can handle the fragility of cis gay men when faced with the reality of a human with a beard and a vagina at the same time. If you’re looking for friends or real connection, probably don’t.
Hinge: In theory this app is for people looking for long term relationships. There’s a decent amount of info and you can pick from a list of captions to put on your photos. The voice prompts can get weird. Guys on this app will like your photo and attach a love poem to it and then never text you back when you match with them. Decision fatigue can set in fast because you don’t just give someone a like. You have to pick which photo or prompt to give the like to as well as if you wanna send a message with it.
Christian Mingle: There’s like six queer dudes within 100 miles of you and at least one of them is an ex gay trying to recruit you to his megachurch
Facebook Dating: Again, lots of trans people per square inch. Possibly because you can filter out cisgender people on here and only look at trans people if you want to. If you say you wanna see multiple genders it doesn’t tell you what the persons gender is though. It’s mostly fine but there’s not a lot of folks on it and like every other dating app nobody ever messages you.

if u havent done this yet, hcs for hq boys at a kareoke or hq boys who take skincare seriously/as a joke :D
i’ve done karaoke hcs here so this one will be skincare! hope this isn’t too niche for ppl who aren’t really into skincare like i am
haikyuu boys and their skincare routines
→  AKAASHI could be a licensed dermatologist. actually looks at ingredient lists and has a list of “holy grail” skincare. he hasn’t had a pimple in years and he looks like he’s wearing a filter but in real life.
→  KITA has a routine so consistent that he can’t recall ever missing a step in it. he’s been using the same products for years, and they work for him. lots of traditional natural products without irritants or fancy add-ins.
→  OIKAWA just really likes the idea of having a skincare routine. loves toner is motivated by the fear of getting wrinkles when he’s old he’s done that one tiktok trend and got scared bc he was an ugly senior citizen. overuses makeup wipes even though he doesn’t really wear makeup because he’s too lazy to actually watch his face sometimes.
→  SUGA follows a complex 10-step routine with different serums on some days, and then he doesn’t wash his face on others. it’s not really a routine since he’s so inconsistent, but at least he wears sunscreen every day.
→  YAMAGUCHI uses products that are soothing and made for sensitive skin! prone to breakouts and acne scarring, but he’s grown to love his skin as he takes care of it. really enjoys sheet masks and likes to hate on st ive’s.
→  SAKUSA definitely stays clean but doesn’t do anything fancy. uses the trio of cleanser, toner, and moisturizer every morning and night, adding in sunscreen when he goes out. good for him.
→  ATSUMU likes skincare because he used to get acne in the past (osamu didn’t). still, he should invest in some moisturizer without fragrance or parabens. has a basic exfoliates harder than he should and steals osamu’s skincare products very often.
→  TSUKISHIMA thinks it’s natural to take care of his skin, so he’s incorporated it into his daily routine. doesn’t ever get acne, but he does get dry, sensitive patches sometimes.
→  BOKUTO would be lower on this list but he has two older sisters, so he’s picked up some things here and there. he likes to buy products based on how nice the packaging is.
→  OSAMU is a little too lazy to have a proper skincare routine, but he does put in effort. the type of person that doesn’t try too hard because his skin is just naturally good.
→  KENMA washes his face because he can’t sleep or wake up unless he does it, but he doesn’t enjoy it much. uses a headband to keep his hair back while he’s washing his face and hates when water drips down his arms, especially if he’s wearing long sleeves.
→  KUROO likes serums that come with droppers and have fun names like niacinamide + zinc. for someone who knows so much about skincare ingredients, he should be taking better care of his skin, but he’s getting there.
→  DAICHI uses the most basic cleanser and moisturizer the drugstore sells and has zero brand loyalty; he’ll just buy whatever’s cheapest and looks legit. he’s never heard of the word “ampoule” in his life.
→  IWAIZUMI probably used to use bar soap to wash his face, then oikawa found out and made him buy actual skincare products, which is the only reason he has any “routine” to speak of.
→  KAGEYAMA only really washes his face when he’s showering (luckily he showers a lot, but it’s still gross). somehow still has perfect skin.
→  HINATA thinks skincare is a myth or something you do to pamper yourself on the weekend. he treats his pimples as friends. someone please get him some cetaphil.

Hi, I saw your post about unreality trigger warnings, and I was wondering if you could give some pointers on what sort of things should be tagged as such. I'd like to help anyway, but having an unfortunately severe dissociative disorder myself, I take the importance of avoiding triggers very seriously. Sorry if you receive this question a lot, and thanks for the answer in advance.
i haven't received this question before, and don't worry, i love getting asks! it's really nice of you to take the time to ask me a question /gen. dissociative disorders can be really hard,
/warning in advance that this will explain some unreality triggers/
some of the main ones are things that you would see on blogs like posts-from-a-funnier-timeline, which, btw, does a great job at tagging unreality. so posts that are completely made up but presented as if they were a truth are usually something that should be tagged. for example, a false announcement like "i cant believe [person/group] said that [false statement]" or "so sad that [person/group] did [something they didnt do]". this is because ppl with dissociative disorders and psychosis already can have a hard time being able to tell the difference between what is reality and whats not, and this makes it more confusing.
- any posts that are like "you're in a coma" or "this is a dream". this is triggering mainly for derealization.
- posts where the OP claims they have gotten this post specifically to the reader, ie "we are trying to reach you through this meme". often related to derealization and persecutory delusions.
- posts claiming that an event didnt happen, especially ones like "the world ended in [insert year], everything after has been imaginary". most recently, the "2020 was fake" meme.
- false confirmation of conspiracy theories like "cant believe that the government just told us [insert something here]". this usually can trigger persecutory delusions.
- the "you're finally awake, that fall looked really bad" meme.
- claims that things like thought projection is real, such as the meme that goes like "i'm psychic blogginf about [x], so if you're thinking of [x], that was me"
- posts that claim the OP and/or the reader have some sort of ability, relatiosnhip, etc.
- memes about like "the fbi agent reading my ao3 history", things suggesting that OP or the reader is specifically being targeted.
im not saying these memes cant be funny to many ppl without mental illness - i like some of them when im in a good headspace too! but it's necessary to tag as a trigger, thats all. yeah, it might make them less funny to your mentally well neurotypical audience or whatever, but please consider those with these more stigmatised disorders.
some things you probably dont have to tag with unreality are things like sarcasm (maybe use tone tags if you're concerned!), posts discussing mental health issues like psychosis or dissociation (the disorders arent unreal!), the fact someone was lying if you're just talking about someone lying, etc.
if you wish to tag a post like this one here which is not unreal itself but instead discusses unreality, think of using "tw unreality mentions", "delusion tw" or "derealization tw", so that people can still filter out these posts and also know that the post itself is not unreal if they come across it.
this list is by no means exhaustive, but hopefully will give a bit of an idea of what to tag as unreality. hope this helps!

Tagged by @rhubarbdreams to look up and post my top 3 ao3 tags! (Go to your works section and check the filters there)
Tumblr media
Not shocked by these themes, I know I have a TypeTM, and the established as /1 is just because of the many series where the ship gets together in part 1... but I'm honestly a bit surprised there weren't any Good Omens specific tags in the top 3, fairly certain there used to be some higher up xD but two are still in the Top 10! & I looked up my top relationships too while I was at it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Drabble of course also high up xD love all those wordcount writing exercises, I tag single-quintuple (so 100 words exactly, or 200, 300, 400 or 500 words exactly) drabbles with the 'drabble' tag, and I made another 'not exactly a drabble exercise' tags for fic that are for example exactly 5k long xD
And prompt fill is also very high up, wow! And here I'm still saying I'm no good at prompts lol xD maybe it's just those vague prompt lists I don't like...
I wish there was a way to see all of my tags lined up like this, or the way it's done graphically for collections! Anyone know how and where to make ao3 show that?
Anyhow, alrighty now bc I have some time rn and this is behind readmore already anyway, for once not just five ppl but I'll try to list all the writers I can think of xD this'll be long, but at least I'm not on a tag meme binge rn, so it'll still only be the one tag by me for everyone today... probably xD
So- tagging, if you want to do it, @daniwouldnever @smittyjaws thx, @demonicneonfishy @aeternumregina @ongreenergrasses @imagitory @innocent-gayngel @cryhardanddanceharder thx @morallygreywaren @betweencrossedblades @salzundhonig @bookerandy @puppiesforfeminism @nicky-olives @aw-hawkeye-no @aahaanaa @banashee thx, @schokosweety @lestrade-london @dauntlessdiva @cookie-sheet-toboggan @toboldlynerd @nomi--sunrider @pers-books @startrekgeorgiouery @onaperduamedee @mariapurt @accio-baqat @justanalto @sad-tunes @chateaupicard @maybebrilliant @verbumproxen @purlturtle @apparitionism @lonely-night @francesca-wayland @amysnotdeadyet thx @blackacre13 @estel-of-irysi thx @spacewitchqueen thx
...and I probably still missed some xD Hope I at least got my mutuals <3 if not Please Still Feel Tagged, just my bad memory to blame here!
Edit: @banashee had the idea to also check bookmark stats, so here are mine (Go to your bookmarks - filters):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tags pretty similar, but the relationships a bit different xD
I know joenicky is just from aq fics which I bookmarked a lot of also for @andromaquynh-ficrecs rec list prep, bering&wells I've just not written much yet but that def deserves its place, and uhum Yea. Drarry. Lol no comment

This is gonna be long, so sorry in advance, but as someone who enjoys long fics here are my two cents:
I get why some ppl may not want 75 tags in fics, but this is gonna hurt long fic writers. On a long fic there are probably gonna be more relationships that are central to the plot that aren't the main ship. And side pairings that may be a squick to some ppl. Not to mention trigger warnings and tone tags.
For example: a long fic with the pairing Y x Z. Z had an abusive relationship, and that's gonna be explored. So the author tags abusive relationship, bc that's a trigger, but an explanation next tag saying "not current ship" or smth.
Then Y has very important friendships with some of the cast. These are central to the plot so they're tagged too.
Turns out, character W is controversial in the fandom, but they're central to the fic too. The author is gonna tag after the character tag W positive/negative; so ppl who don't wanna see positive/negative things about W can skip this.
And guess what? Ship A x B appears in this fic too. Maybe it's not that central, but this ship is also disliked by some people, so the author will tag it, so ppl can filter through.
Another problem is with media that has different mediums, like, the media Y, Z, etc are from has movies, and books, and games and a tv show. All these things actually have different stories, different enough at least that ppl may only want to see fics written for the movies! But the author wants to take plot from the movies and the books. So instead of just tagging the all media tag for that media, they also tag media (movies) and media (books)
These tags end up accumulating. And especially in long fics. The author could make the first chapter a list of tws and stuff that they keep updating, but that destroys the purpose of ao3 tags: you can't filter content like that, you can only filter tags.
I honestly think they should just find a way to delete the fics with the trolling tags, or make a readmore thing so it doesn't hurt the browsing. At the very least make the tag limit longer.
sorry in advance that this is going to be rambly and weird. I have a lot of thoughts.
I get where you're coming from but I also still disagree. Like it's definitely going to change the way longfic writers tag, but I really don't think it's going to hurt them. I think it's going to encourage more effective tagging and that that's going to be better for everybody in the long run. If anything, I think that overtagging is what's hurting longfic writers, it makes their works look unappealing, and actually important information gets buried in a wall of text.
i will admit though that I do understand better now why less room for trigger tagging is going to be an issue. My preferred tagging style is "General/umbrella warnings in the tags, with whatever elaboration/specifics the author deems necessary in an author's note/author's notes at the beginning of each chapter" (example: "animal death" in the tags, so that the filters catch it + people who can't handle the subject At All know to keep scrolling, and then the author's note specifying that its in the context of game hunting & not a pet death, so that people who were uncertain and needed more info could click in and get the specifics.) and I thought that preference was pretty universal? But apparently a lot of people use the tags as an exhaustive list of warnings, which I didn't know because when I see a work with more than, well with more than 75 tags, I just start scrolling until it's gone.
(this is a tangent and I get that my experiences are not universal. but I genuinely dislike full warning lists in the tags because, for me at least, it makes it harder for me to figure out if the story is something I can/want to read. The things I Really Do Not Want To Read about are rare, and rarely tagged the same way twice, so the exclusion filter isn't really helpful for me. I have to actually read the full list of warnings and if the things I'm looking for are sandwiched inbetween a bunch of trope/character tags in a big wall o text I am going to miss it. This has happened to me multiple times.)
I think that that's an ineffective tagging style, basically. Lots of tags is kind of the opposite of useful tags, imo. Short, to the point and consistently worded warnings are better and I think having less space will encourage people to do that. I understand why people do this other style, though, and also why it would frustrate them that they can no longer do that. I think it really sucks that ao3 let everyone wild west their website for so long that it managed to spawn like three distinct groups of people who all use the website in completely incompatible ways, and now it's at the point where any new rule implemented is going to screw a lot of people over no matter what. But I digress.
Anyways, as long as someone isn't putting Revolutionary Girl Utena levels of warnings in their tags (and if your fic needs that much... maybe you should just put yur top 10 biggest warnings on there and slap a Dead Dove Do Not Eat on the end there, yknow?), I think that 75 tags will fully accommodate them. I get that tags start adding up, but also I think a lot of people are underestimating how many tags 75 tags is.
Like to just add up how many tags are used in your example: three / pairing tags, lets go crazy and say three more & pairing tags, tag every character tag in those pairings that's twelve, #abusive relationship + #not main pairing tags, three fandom tags bc multiple source mediums, a #[controversial character] positive tag... that's 24 tags. Like all the necessary character & pairing tags are handled in less than a third of the space given (and personally I consider this slightly over tagged. I think the only character tags you should put on a fic are the very mainest/pov characters, but yknow) and honestly if you can't then figure out a way to communicate the rest of the necessary information about your fic in 51 tags and a 1250 character summary then I really don't know how to help you. I personally would have to really push myself to figure out how to put more than 75 tags on one fic, regardless of the length of the fic. And I can't help but notice that a lot of the fics I could find with over 75 tags while searching last night had a lot of... unnecessary duplicate tags, often for information that could've been easily otherwise intuited (tagging #mandolorian #mandolore #mandolorian character and #mandolorian culture on a Jango Fett pre-series fic, for example)
I do have some criticisms about the current change though. I think it would've been better to have individual tag number limits for each individual field (x number of fandom tags, x number of character tags, etc.) instead of a 75 tags over all limit (or make a "warning tags" field that's separate from "additional tags" but that's a separate essay and would... probably mean overhauling the whole site. so not very practical.) A readmore option would be good too, and I'm not sure why they didn't go for that? I also think that this change will be most effective if done in combination with other changes. Like posting very loosely or not at all enforced official tagging/style guides for the site. I really think that even a tepid attempt at standardization will increase the site's usability like, A Lot.
I'm not sure how cohesive that was. TL;DR I appreciate hearing your thoughts, mine are that I still think this is a step in the right direction. And that cutting back on overtagging will lead to more concise, effective tagging which will make browsing and filtering easier in the long run.

So im just going to state my opinion on something. People dont have to agree with me if they dont want to but this is just me venting i guess.
I dont like Tara, ive given her content a chance and even watched some of her lives but she doesnt have a filter and doesnt realize how she comes off (and this is live not edited) and then wants people to be understanding of her actions.
So I've subscribed and have donated to JCs stream a few times and hes always doing challenges and trying to change stuff up. Everytime he has Tara on she is rude, cursing at him threatening and if thats their friendship thats fine but she always tries to change stuff up that he's been doing with everyone and no one has tried to change stuff except her. He had a spin the wheel challenge today where he gives friends money or a challenge. One girl ate dog food and kept going. Tara had two challenges of taking a shot and one of eating a hot pepper. She won $55 and kept complaining and switching stuff up like " i do this and you do this" or "can i spin and if i don't like the challenge i keep the money". People in the chat were getting aggravated and told her to walk away with the money, even the girls told her to walk because she started listing all the stuff on the wheel she wouldnt do and only left like 3 options when no one else did that. The second someone called her out and told JC not to invite her again she yelled at the chat to F** off & then agreed with soneone that chat was bullying her. JC said "it was one girl" & and she goes "no it was several" when all people were doing was telling her to chill and just walk with the money, i didnt see anyone being aggressive or plain rude. . JC ended up giving her $100 because he felt bad.
I know people are gonna read this and not get it, call me a hater but like i said ive donated $ to him and everytime she's on she complains and throws the vibe off. Then you have people in the chat saying "JC give her $200 she deserves it", really. So yeah that's my rant. Hope it doesnt bug you that i sent this in but like i said this is my opinion and i needed to vent because it JUST happened.
i'm sorry you're upset at tara
i do understand ppl not immediately liking her. she has a personality that you either get or don't, and i have no problem with you not liking her even tho i do :)
that being said, i don't know this situation that well, but it could just be that tara is uncomfortable doing certain things, but she still wants to support her friends so doing this spin the wheel challenge is her way of supporting, even tho it is outside of her comfort zone. and i highly doubt that she's hating on jc, that's probably their friendship. if he didn't like it, he would tell her to not treat him that way.
i do get your frustration tho. i would say i'm quasi-similar to tara with how i won't do certain things even tho it's in the game rules or whatever. however, i probs would have just walked away with the money lol (mostly bc i hate confrontation of any kind)
but yeah... it's a shame you feel this way. hopefully if she's back on his stream she's more open to trying stuff.
and also, try not to let things like this upset you too much. idk how much this genuinely pissed you off or not, but just know... it's not that big of deal and everything's okay :) <3

Instagram Things
A list of all the things I’ve learned while being a fan account on Instagram. In no particular order:
- Don’t make theme dividers, and if you have to, make them rarely.
- (Theme dividers will get no interaction and lower the interaction of your next few posts)
- Reach out! If someone’s dog is cute, tell them! If you’ve read that book too, tell them! If you like their theme/post, tell them!
- You’ll meet some really amazing people
- The account with 20 followers, 200 followers, or 2,000 doesn’t mean they’re “better” or a “bigger fan” than you. They’ve just been here longer
- Most people don’t care about themes. They see your posts in their feed, not through your account. (You can do a theme for yourself, but it won’t impact interaction)
- Interaction is important! It’s how many people do things with your post (like, comment, share, save, follow) it’s what tells Instagram to show your post to more people.
- Not everything is the algorithm’s fault,
- But a lot of things are.
- Comment (and like ofc) other people posts! Seeing your @ around will draw people to your account over time, plus, support your fellow creators!!
- Same idea with shoutouts, even if people don’t follow you immediately, if they see your @ with a bunch of those they DO follow, eventually they’ll follow you
- Be a business account, not personal (you’ll have access to analytics this way, and see how your posts are performing)
- This can be time consuming. I was spending 6+ hours in Insta when I first started. (There’s not much else to do during a summer quarantine, but still!) So set an Instagram limit for yourself. Mine is 2 hours.
- Prioritize yourself. I don’t care if your posts preform best when they’re posted at 12:00 on the dot, go eat lunch. Talk to ppl irl. Read some more of the book you’re posting about. Take some time for you.
- Stories are important! Don’t leave it empty! Story interaction is important too! It won’t boost your posts, but it will make people realize you exist (which might let them know you have a new post)
- If you post a question (QotD) in your story, don’t leave it open ended (at least not in the beginning). People are more likely to reply when they can click instead of typing an individual answer. A Poll or Quiz will give you more interaction than a Question.
- if you ask a Question, (and are going to reply to/share the answers) do so immediately. People are more likely to reply if they know they’re not the first/other people replied too.
- CREDIT THE CREATORS!!!!
- Seriously, if you’re a repost account and not crediting, not only is that ~art theft~ you’ll piss off people and lose followers.
- Credit people they way they want.
- “tag & credit” = tag them in the post, AND write “credit to @exaample”
- “credit” = writing “credit to @examplee” in the caption.
- When crediting a text post account, you can put the @ anywhere in the caption (as long as it’s before the hashtags)
- When crediting art accounts, put the @ in the VERY FIRST sentence of your caption. (This is so if your post is uploaded somewhere it’s not supposed to be, the artist’s @ is more likely to be visible)
- Don’t post too much. You need to give your posts time to grow, circulate, and get likes. If you post 3-5 times a day (like I did at first!) a post will only get 30-50 likes before your new post comes out, and the likes go there instead.
- I saw an increase of 200 likes when I went from posting 1-2 a day to every other day (I think that’s a 500% increase if my math works)
- Periodically check what the algorithm is. Sometimes posts preform better with a geo tag (you could use Books, Panem, Eriliea, The Library, etc. There are “locations” you can tag that don’t actually say where you are)
- sometimes posts preform better if they have an Instagram filter (put the same filter on each! and put it at 1% opacity)
- beware of scams! If something feels sketchy, it probably is.
- Having this account really helped me with talking to people, I’m pretty shy irl, and having a platform where nobody knew me or had any expectations was really freeing. Nasa might be a shy nerd, but TheRandomFandomGal is an outgoing, talkative nerd!
- I’m still learning, and I’m no instagram master
I hope this was helpful! If you have any more tips/things you learned, don’t hesitate to add them!

Tumblr media
heeyoo everyone ! i’m ume ( 21+, she/her, pst! ) and this is my first muse here ! i’ve been eyeing this place for a while but only got enough time recently to really be able to join so i’m supes excited to be here !!! anyway enough with the ice-breaker-esque intro, this is hana  🖤  ( yves fc ) and she’s quite the pain in the ass bc she has quite the longest stick in her ass lmfao! her profile is right here, but it’s ridiculously long ( not that this isn’t ridiculously long but wtv ) so if you don’t want to get a headache .... mb read the below deets first ? i’d reaaaaaaaally love to plot with everyone, i’d much prefer it over twitter (@nagisasgf) or via discord ( feel free to ask! ) rather than tumblr dms, if possible. but if you’d also like to plot, feel free to like this and i’ll zoom by for some one on one time ! 🤪🤪🤪
TW WARNINGS CHILD ABUSE, VIOLENCE, BLOOD, NSFW
meet cho hana
again, cho hana: 21 y/o ( 11/11/98 ), toseong senior majoring in transfiguration, minor in herbology
she’s also in these clubs: chess club (co-president), debate club, and herbology club!
her mother chose her clubs and her major, hana chose her minor and the herbology club
born and raised in seoul, south korea! she’s also a mahoutokoro graduate
she was a ‘accident’, her father is severely out of the picture to the point that hana doesn’t even know his name / whereabouts or questions about him because her mother never told her about him at all and hana just accepted it ( aka her mother has a very tight reign on hana’s life )
speaking of her mother, her mother is a famed auror who fell from grace when she got pregnant with hana
because of her pregnancy with hana, she had to retire early and thus dedicated her entire life making sure hana didn’t make the same mistakes she did and was just as smart, talented and envied as ahyoung had been
this makes for a very restrained childhood, where all hana knew was studying, studying and more studying
also if it isn’t obvious, hana has serious mommy issues to the point that she’s disillusioned herself into thinking everything is okay when it’s not
( TW FOR CHILD ABUSE )
whenever her mother was displeased with something, she’d physically abuse hana -- it began when hana would get things wrong, if she didn’t get the right grades or failed to make the top of her class but then it started to extend to embarrassing her mother by saying or doing the wrong things
( END TW )
it’s pretty bad because hana thinks, still, if she works hard enough she can somehow gain her mother’s love
ever since she was young, hana was conditioned to strive for the best, because she was ‘cho ahyoung’s daughter’ she could do it, to the point that it not only inflated hana’s ego, it also really fucked up her self-esteem and how she she’s her own self-worth
a lot of people think she’s a ‘genius’ or ‘prodigy’ because of her academic history but she’s literally the opposite, she works way too hard for her grades but her mother wants her to pretend she’s a genius because she thinks it’s embarrassing that her own daughter isn’t a natural-born genius like she is
i, hana
this bitch has Big Tsun vibes if you know it you know it 🤪
like she’ll geniunely care but she’s also HEAVES BIG SIGH BC ???? WHY ??? WHAT ARE THESE FEELINGS ???
she’s such a priss, and she knows it -- that’s why i say she has a stick up her ass bc she does
she’s definitely not a wild card, she’s very by the book, rules and all, sure -- she tries not to fault people if they’re not the same as her but if you go out of your way to be stupid, you’ll be getting an ear-full
probably the most put-together person you know, organized, meticulous, looks like she has her life all together? yeah that’s cho hana
her outfits of choice are hot librarian chic, if you must know -- yes, she owns sweater vests and layers her clothes, and yes she thinks they’re sexy
she’s not mean, but she’s also not unreasonably nice off the gate ???? she’s just really civil and mutual ??? mostly she’ll fake smile at you but in her head she’s like ‘i’m with stupid’
no, but if you’re really dumb / do something really dumb she’ll call you out on it without filter
she’s a very type-A personality, but she wasn’t always like this. if anything, she was made to be this way and it kind of stuck. she carries around a planner ( no, not those bullet journal crap ) an actual planner with real dates, a to-do list and scheduled sessions written for almost every minute of every day. if she loses this, she’ll practically shut down
hana doesn’t love control, she needs it -- if anything, without it, she can get a little antsy, so much that it kind of fucks with her fragile ego ( you can thank her mother for the need to be in control bc her mother literally controls every aspect of her life )
if she’s upset, she’ll probably grin through it before quickly excusing herself to go throw vases at the walls or tear flowers to shreds in the greenhouse
if you need someone to critically tear down your confidence and dish reality’s terrible news to you, hana’s probably the person you need
you can probably find hana in 3 places if she’s not in her dorm: studying in the library, crying in the greenhouse, or smoking at the pool of universe
she’s praised as some kind of genius or prodigy, but hana thinks it’s more of an insult than a compliment because she's neither. she won’t deny it but you can probably instantly see the way her demeanor changes towards you when you call her either of those things
this bitch should go on jeopardy with all the useless information she keeps on hand from all her studying, tbh. like she’d be leading a normal conversation with her friends, and if it’s remotely related, she’d randomly insert it into the conversation as if it was something normal like asking about the weather.
not one to go out looking for trouble, but much like a vulture – she follows it. perhaps it’s her desire to be praised, to feel needed, whatever – but in her group of friends, could probably be seen as the moral compass, if not, the person who’s cleaning up everyone’s messes ( or holding their hair while they puke their guts out )
needed connects
childhood friends who know how hana’s mom is, and all the stress she puts on her ( but not the bad things that happen at home ) and try to help her through her issues but hana’s like ‘no, it’s not your problem, it’s okay’ but this friend won’t give up because they hate to see hana so stressed and sad and frustrated and just want the best for her!!!!
give her friends who want to loosen her up because she’s literally so fuCKING RIGID, she needs to live a little but hana is literally like fuck that shit i need to study my ass off or else i’ll lose my place ( but really she’d probably not lose her place, she’s just delusional )
ppl she can actually break down in front of bc she feels stress keeping up w everyone’s expectations of who she is and she’s kind of SIck of pretending to be this Perfect Person but she keeps it up bc it’s better than hearing the nasty things about her
give me a good tension-filled rivals plot, this bitch is honestly so hyper-competitive it’s ridiculous, we’d just love someone to go ‘chill tf out you bitch, but oh yeah look how i steal rank 1 from you’
TOSEONG SENIOR PREFECT LOCKED ! so, hana worked extra hard junior year in order to get senior prefect ( or even head girl ) but since she got neither, hana is a) pissed and b) bitter because now she has her mother breathing down her neck for not getting either positions, but her mother’s wrath adds even more : ) unnecessary : ) stress and that stress : ) gets unreasonably taken out on that toseong senior prefect
exes who couldn’t keep up with her -- hana always puts her relationships second to her academic priorities and it comes to a point where she’ll put studying/getting ahead before hanging out with her significant other, and it has always been this way ; she’s also just never able to properly put her feelings into proper words so she’s always just ... Repressed
someone give her a love where she ALMOST threw everything away for but at the last minute didn’t -- OR BETTER YET she was so ready to do it but the s/o was like Sike! and she was left devastated and her already vulnerable feelings got even worse to the point that she closed herself off
HERBOLOGY CLUB MEMBER LOCKED ! ( could be a junior year or above! ) hana wasn’t always in the herbology club, but she joined her sophomore year after a brush of fate. after getting really bad results on her DADA exam, and fearing what her mother would say/do, she finds solace in the greenhouse ( she’s been there several times bc of her minor and finds it empty at certain hours ) and begins ripping up the plants. your muse can find hana and scold her / console her / etc. but somehow the interaction ends with your muse convincing hana to join the herbology club
( TW NSFW )
someone pls fuck her against a bookcase, just a thought
rivals but fwb ( can also be paired with the connect from above! )
( END TW )
hana secretly smokes. she doesn’t fault anyone who does, hana just thinks it’s a bad habit for herself and if her mother knew, she knew she’d never hear the end of it. so, enter your muse either they found her while they themselves were looking for a smoke or just happened upon her -- either way they found out hana smokes and it can end in either a ) hana doesn’t give a shit and ends up having smoking dates with them or b ) hana fucking fears for her life and exchanges something in order for you to keep your mouth shut
( TW ABUSE, VIOLENCE )
PRE-ESTABLISHED FRIENDS PLOT REQ ! but your muse mistakenly walks in on hana and her mother in the middle of a heated argument. you finally see hana being the submissive person you Don’t know her to be and in the nick of time you see her mother slap the shit out of her. you try to talk to hana but don’t know what to say -- shockingly enough -- you don’t need to say anything because hana just breaks down and it kind of just makes sense. from there, your muse will probably be the only person hana goes to about her mommy issues, especially when hana’s mom makes her ‘surprise’ visits to campus to check up on her
( END TW )
hana isn’t a bad drinker, if anything -- she’s pretty good at keeping her alcohol in check. however, you aren’t -- so here she is, holding your hair, holding your arm, or helping you back to your dorm room. either way, she’s here to take care of you and in the morning, lecture you for your almost alcohol intoxication scare
as top of her class, hana isn’t unfamiliar to tutoring others, if anything, a lot of her professors actually ask her to do so -- pairing her with several of their students at one time. maybe you’re one of the students she tutors?
someone who envies how well hana does in school, and is constantly praised for it -- maybe hates her for it? idk -- something spicy i guess or going so far to say how easily it comes to hana and kind of undermines the hard work hana actually does and hana either takes it or blows up at them for it bc that shit is annoying as fuck
toseong house cute plots bc hana isn’t really all that cute but like she tries ... she wants affection but won’t go out of her way to ask for it??? bitch has problems i swear
toseong house not so cute plots ( could also be relevant to any not from toseong ) who are just sick of hana’s genius bullcrap and want to take her down a notch !!!!! my ass heavily wanting this bc who doesn’t love a muse in pain / agony ; could also apply as a rivals / hate plot idk
( TW BLOOD )
HEALING MAJORS LOCKED ! your muse catches hana in the middle of her rage episodes. she unceremoniously is wreaking havoc somewhere and ends up breaking glass to the point that she ends up bleeding. your muse chances upon her -- sees that she’s bleeding and offers to patch her up. whether or not she fesses up to why she ended up this way, can be determined!
( END TW )

Im just gonna say if u dont "condone it" then why do u still choose to focus so much on non con and toxic shit? For ur own/ur followers enjoyment?? Fiction DOES affect reality and no im not saying all of yall gonna end up aBusINg people but it can leave great impacts on others and even if you claim that it "isnt a coping mechanism" it sure sounds like it to me, even if u lived thru it doesnt mean u should base ur blog on it. Ik imma get shit for this but im tired of ppl glorifying abuse🗿
hi anon! i don’t think i’ve ever said that writing/consuming dark content isn’t a coping mechanism for me; i find it kind of therapeutic because i get to be in control of a situation (whether that be by writing it or just choosing when/if to read it) in a way i did not get to be during my own trauma. you might find these two studies about writing about trauma (both real and imagined) interesting (they both reported catharsis in the women who wrote about them). i’ve talked with my therapist about how i write characters who go through similar things to me as catharsis/stress relief/a way of taking back control, and have always been encouraged to continue doing it
i half agree on fiction affecting reality and half don’t agree - in that i think representation in popular media is important and needed, but don’t necessarily think that we should apply the same logic to fanworks by people whose stuff is never going to be in the mainstream and is often created by marginalised groups themselves.
not wanting to engage in and finding dark content and the like gross is totally valid. it’s why i tag everything i can and encourage people who hate what i produce or other things about me to block me. anons have told me i deserve to have gone through the trauma i did because of what i write (and once accused me of lying about it as an excuse which is a whole other kettle of fish; i’ve been open about the fact i don’t think anyone owes it to anyone else to have to disclose their traumas.). i try and make it so that it can be filtered out. if you think you’ll be affected by what i write just unfollow me and block me, but i tag everything for a reason.
i probably won’t interact with any other anons you send me bc i want to keep my blog a safe space for me personally (it’s my blog! i take responsibility for my followers seeing stuff they don’t want to if i don’t tag it but it’s a space for me to write in and experiment in, and i don’t craft it entirely for other’s enjoyment or i’d never write anything. everything i’ve written about ever probably has someone who hates it in my following list) but i just want to urge you to unfollow me if it bothers you what i write and publish on my own blog.
creators don’t owe you to only make content you want to personally engage in. they owe themselves to make whatever they want to.
(and again, if you’re going to reply to this with abuse or anon hate or whatever, i’d like to remind you i have a statcounter and can see where you’re accessing from and block you via your ip address)
