I sincerely doubt lokius will ever be canon past this point BUT apparently they are supposed to show up in deadpool 3???? And honestly, it’s not in character for Wade Wilson to NOT comment on the weird vibes those two got going on. Oh yeah and Deadpool doesn’t have the budget to actually show supertime so it’s just Tom Hiddleston in the Loki costume wrapped up in green streamers. And no characters comment on it, least of all Loki. What do you mean? This is time itself?
Then later in the film there is a smash cut as deadpool explains that THAT setup was too much money for the amount of screen time so then whenever they are talking to Loki about the timeline problems it’s just Tom Hiddleston as himself knitting a green scarf, and Deadpool keeps making more timelines so more and more yarn keeps getting thrown at him.
“Keep knitting you beautiful beautiful man we need our fox crossover!!!”
*hair flip* “Who are you??? Why are you doing this?!!”
Mobius shows up in the background at one point just drinking coffee, bonus points if he very obviously is not wearing his own clothes.

Weekend Top Ten #541
Top Ten Marvel Studios Predictions for SDCC 2022
Okay, bit of a fun one this week. In the past I’ve liked to do big predictions for what announcements might come out of San Diego Comic Con. This is because, in recent years (decades?!), SDCC is the hotbed for all kinds of freaky genre entertainment. Huge studio movies, exciting TV shows, videogames, and – yes – comics have used SDCC, and often its legendary Hall H, to make major announcements. Marvel Studios in particular has become famous for its SDCC panels, including the first appearance of all the Avengers live on stage, or Tom Hiddleston in character as Loki calling the audience mewling quims, or the roadmap of various MCU Phases that introduced us to “Avengers: Infinity War, Part I & II”.
As the years have gone by my interests have shifted slightly. I’m not really following mainstream comic book continuity anywhere near as much as I once did, so Marvel and DC’s big announcements don’t really resonate as much. And, to be honest, I’m quite happy with the drip-feed of info from other sources regarding what big movies are in the works, or what’s happening with my favourite genre TV shows (in fact, I’d rather not know, short of the fact that they’re still making them, if that makes sense). This has been exacerbated by the fact that DC’s films have grown increasingly disparate and less connected as time’s gone on, so there isn’t that sense of “this is what’s next for the universe” that you get with Marvel.
No, at the end of the day, the only ongoing series that I really want to know about – in terms of announcements of what’s round the corner – is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And it really, really feels like this is going to be a big presentation from them. I hope I’m not getting too hyped or setting myself up for a fall, but it would make perfect sense if they chose this moment to make some pretty big announcements on the future of the MCU. Phase 4 has been a bit of an odd duck as they’ve introduced new characters, allowed established directors more free reign, played around with the multiverse, and made more TV than you’d think was humanly possible. I’d argue that maybe this has lead to more variable quality than we saw in Phase 3, but I would argue that, so far, the threshold is comparable with the first two Phases (Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, and Thor: The Dark World are all far from stellar). Also, despite many balls being in the air – Kang, incursions, the Scarlet Witch, Elaine from Seinfeld – we don’t actually know where this Phase is going. Phase 1, we all assumed, would lead to the Avengers teaming up; after that, we knew Thanos was the Big Bad and, eventually, we discovered the whole gist was following the Infinity Stones which led to Infinity War and Endgame. This gave the interconnected MCU something of a throughline; each film would lead to the next, often teased in post-credit stings. With this Phase, all we seem to be getting is celebrity cameos revealing new characters who – for the most part – remain unexplained or unconnected to the wider universe. What I’m saying is things are a bit woolly, stuff undefined; and that’s all fine, but at the same time, it’ll be nice if we can see some kind of destination ahead. After all, that’s one of the joys of following a shared universe: knowing that various individual stories are going to coalesce in the future.
So today all I’m doing is making some predictions for what Marvel will announce. A roadmap of Phases 4 and 5; and endgame, if you will, or at least a middlegame. This is my own rampant speculation corner and personal mini wish fulfilment centre. I’ve tried not to go overboard or be too silly, which is why there’s no Death’s Head movie; this is all stuff that I genuinely could see them announce at SDCC, or at least something very much like this. Will I be right? Probably not, but that’s half the fun.
Tumblr media
Footage from Wakanda Forever, The Marvels, What If…? and more: I think audiences in the hall will be shown footage from a bunch of upcoming MCU projects, but I also think they’ll release – to the public – teaser for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and What If…? season 2. They might even do a sizzle reel of loads of upcoming films and TV shows (including Secret Invasion, Ironheart, and Quantumania), but I doubt that will make it to the wider world short of dodgy phone videos of the presentation. What I do think we’ll see is the first footage from both the Halloween special – Werewolf By Night, presumably – and the Guardians Holiday special.
Blade, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool 3 all get release dates as we round out Phase 4: so I’m making a big assumption here which is that the announced films – and Thunderbolts – all form part of Phase 4. I might be really wrong here, and only the films that currently have dates – which takes up to The Marvels next summer – are Phase 4, and after that we might be onto Phase 5. But for what it’s worth, I’m gonna match up films to release dates and say that November 3rd 2023 will be Blade, February 16th 2024 will be Thunderbolts, May 3rd 2024 will be Fantastic Four, and July 26th 2024 will be Deadpool 3.
Fantastic Four cast on stage for the epic finale of Phase 3: so at the moment I think Phase 4 is building up to Fantastic Four as being the big “Avengers” moment; the climax of this Phase. I think it’ll be called something like Fantastic Four: Incursion or Return of the Fantastic Four, and it’ll be about a multiversal incursion that ends up with the Four on our Earth (and Doom, natch). Whilst I think this is “the big film”, I actually think Deadpool 3 – which’ll be called, I dunno, Deadpool versus the MCU or something – will be the final film, offering an Ant-Man-style palette cleanser. And, yes, I think this will be when they announce the cast, director, and release date of FF, with the First Family up on stage. Who will that be? Gah, I dunno. I don’t think Krasinksi, actually. Let’s say they’re skewing a bit younger, Reed and Sue don’t have kids yet, so I’ll pick Dev Patel (Reed), Anya Taylor-Joy (Sue), Finn Wolfhard (Johnny), and Seth Rogen (Ben). None of those will be correct, by the way. Oh, and as I write this Twitter is getting silly over the concept of Steven Spielberg possibly directing the movie; as this would just make me far too excited, I’m choosing not to believe it. I totally believe it. Help.
Phase 5 begins with Captain America: I’ve just read that they’ve hired a director, which actually adds fuel to the fire of my theory that Sam Wilson: Captain America (or whatever it’ll be called) will be announced, its plot bouncing off not only The Falcon and the Winter Soldier but also Thunderbolts. And this will be one of the threads of Phase 5: Sam Wilson putting together the next Avengers team in the face of a dodgy government-sponsored group, youngsters getting in on the act, increasing multiversal weirdness, and of course muta – hey, what’s that over there?
Taika Waititi will complete his Thor trilogy: I’ll try to avoid spoilers for Thor: Love and Thunder, except to say that it definitely teases more from the character. It seems to me that Waititi wants yet another crack at it, and so I think we’ll get an announcement of a fifth Thor film, completing Waititi’s trilogy. And whilst I don’t imagine it’ll be stated outright, I would have thought that would be it for the character – although Chris Hemsworth has said he’s open to keep playing him for a while, so who knows?
Spin-off TV series detailed for Shang-Chi, Black Panther – and Eternals: we already know that Shang-Chi and Black Panther are getting Disney+ spin-off series – I think they’ll be about the Ten Rings and the Dora Milaje, but I might be totally off-base; they could be about Trevor Slattery and Everett Ross. Anyway, I think we’ll also get an announcement of a sequel/spin-off for Eternals on D+ too, with Chloe Zhao involved in some capacity. Whether it’ll follow the Eternals abducted by Arishem or those who met up with Harry Styles – or something else – I don’t know, but I think the languid pace of the movie would be well-served by a TV series.
Sequels confirmed for Shang-Chi and Doctor Strange: yeah, Phase 5 will have sequels to some of the more recent hits, specifically Shang-Chi learning more about the Ten Rings and just exactly what they are (maybe tying into stuff we’ve seen in Ms. Marvel?) and Doctor Strange’s adventures with Charlize Theron (The Nightmare of Doctor Strange?). Given that I’ve predicted an incursion-based FF movie, and that’s what Theron’s Clea mentions in her post-credit scene, maybe the two films will be related?
New seasons announced for Loki and Moon Knight: we know Loki season 2 is coming, and I think we’ll see/hear a lot more about it, with both Loki and Sylvie present on stage (hey, maybe Sophia Di Martino will call everyone names this time?). but despite it not being something originally announced or, seemingly, planned for, I think the success of Moon Knight will bring Oscar Isaac back (and on stage!) to announce there will be further adventures for Steven and Marc and Jake. And hopefully hippos.
Brand new TV series include Captain Britain, Young Avengers, and Power Pack: as is there wont, Marvel will be announcing some new stuff. There’ll probably be new films – debuting new heroes on the big screen – but seeing as so much of their focus is on Disney+, I think we’ll see more TV series. Big characters and teams that I think will make their bow on the small screen will include Captain Britain – bringing the world of Marvel UK into the MCU – and Young Avengers, the latter teaming up many of the heroes we’ve already encountered. Maybe there’ll be something skewing older and grittier, too (Daredevil?!), but I also think we’ll go young with Power Pack, a kid-focused show that’ll be aimed at an even younger audience than the teen-centric Ms. Marvel. Amidst all this, I also wonder if we’ll get something with the Agents of SHIELD characters; I’d love to see Daisy and May in the MCU.
It all leads up to X-Men: this has been a very good year for the X-Men ‘97 theme (and, incidentally, I reckon we’re due a trailer for that show too). Anyway, we know where this is heading; Kevin Feige said so himself, that we’re leading up to the introduction of mutants in the MCU. We know they exist elsewhere in the multiverse because we saw one in Multiverse of Madness. And, er, they probably exist on the prime 616-Earth of the MCU, too. Yeah? Ahem. So I think this is really where we’re going at the moment: confirmation of mutants, who they are and how they came to be, and we’ll see a big, proper announcement of it all at SDCC. Or at least some kind of roadmap through Phase 5. My personal prediction? Mutants will generally be seeded through the films and shows, although I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s, say, an Xavier series or something that’s not explicitly about the X-Men yet. Will we get casting? Ewan McGregor as Professor X? Taron Edgerton as Logan? Anyway, whilst I still don’t think it’s the final destination – whether that’s Kang or Galactus or Doom or Secret Wars or something else entirely – I think one stop on the road is going to be, essentially, Avengers vs. X-Men. And that’s the next Avengers movie, and that’s the film that closes out Phase 5, and that’s the biggie at the end of the presentation.
So I’ve done all this pussyfooting around making bold and ridiculous predictions, but what actually will be announced? Like, everything? Well, I’m glad you asked, imaginary reader, because I’m going to round things off by listing literally everything I think will be mentioned in one way or another by Marvel Studios at SDCC this year, whether it’s just a name on a screen or James Gunn and the entire cast up on stage making dick jokes. Enjoy!
Films and shows we know about: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the Halloween special (Werewolf By Night?), Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Armor Wars, Loki season 2, What If…? season 2, Echo, Marvel Zombies (if that counts as MCU?).
Films and shows that we know they’re making but we don’t know exactly when: Fantastic Four, Blade, Deadpool 3, Thunderbolts, Captain America 4, Shang-Chi 2, Black Panther spin-off, Shang-Chi spin-off, Agatha: House of Harkness, Wonder Man, Daredevil, Nova, Spider-Man: Freshman Year (which I think is supposed to be in the MCU?), whatever it is that Scarlett Johansson’s supposed to be working on, the next Spider-Man movie that probably won’t be announced here because Sony will want to do that I guess.
Stuff that I’ve just made up: Thor 5, Doctor Strange 3, Eternals TV spin-off, Moon Knight season 2, Captain Britain, Power Pack, Young Avengers, something with characters from Agents of SHIELD, something with mutant characters that’s not really an X-Men movie, Avengers vs. X-Men.
See, that’s a lot, even before I started pulling stuff out of my arse. Feige’s gonna need a really big whiteboard to write it all down.

hcs on the kinds of books bakugo, sero, kiri, and shinso read? preferred genre, plotlines, tropes, etc.! -🤠
hiya yeehaw anon, let me just tell you I adore this request idea and hope you enjoy (though the HCs are rather short and very late, sorry OTL)<3
Tumblr media
-as a kid, Bakugou liked comic books, but he kind of grew out of it as he got older. He'll still pick up the occasional comic (it's generally action-oriented, grittier shounen or seinen series) but he's picky about the Quality (tm) -a snob, thinks the Classics are superior to everything when it comes to comics. Probably likes Ghost in the Shell -generally not a big reader because that's for Nerds, but he secretly reads a bit of nonfiction; he likes history books, specifically ones about wars and battles
-lowkey reads up on military strategy :,)) who wants to bet that he's read The Art of War -also reads a lot about quirk theory (?) and how to strengthen and improve your quirk -it's tragic but he won't touch most fiction with a ten foot pole because he thinks it's shallow and silly :((( the only fiction he's ever read is the stuff he was required to read at school, plus some light novels he read to pass time when he was a bit younger
Tumblr media
-Sero's a casual reader; he's a big fan of light novels mostly and has a couple series that he follows. Other than that, he's also into comics. He really does just read for fun though and isn't particularly obsessive over any series. When he reads comics and/or light novels it's generally shounen, fantasy genre stuff -kind of into isekai as well tbh -sometimes will read "normal" books. It's mostly in the fantasy genre, and he prefers low fantasy over high fantasy -prefers Average, everyday-person protags over those who are overly powerful or have super bombastic personalities -pretty big fan of the Harry Potter series, those are the books he gets the most passionate about overall
Tumblr media
-Kirishima is generally the guy for comics; he loves action-packed Shounen, stories with straightforward plots and morals where there's a good guy to root for and a bad guy to cuss at. Loves titles like Fullmetal Alchemist and Kimetsu no Yaiba. -he doesn't read too much overall, but there is one genre that he gets pretty worked up over, and that is Romance -Kirishima collects romance novels and stocks them under his bed; he oohs and ahs over the cliche tropes and has tons of guilty pleasures when it comes to Drama -(lowkey really likes the “big confession in the rain” trope) -like Sero, he’s also a pretty big fan of the low fantasy genre and gets really into heroes he can relate to -I think he’d like the Percy Jackson series?  -explicitly requires happy endings. There is no alternative.
Tumblr media
-the true Reader (tm) on this list, bless him -so into classical literature and all the #Deep stuff, probably the nerd who would enjoy writing entire essays on the significance of Jules Verne’s work to the modern sci fi genre -Shinsou reads a lot of different stuff and enjoys variety, but also actually cares about the objective Quality of his books -lowkey used to (and maybe still does) read the really, really poetic & depressing variety of literature. Like. I wanna think he read No Longer Human by Dazai Osamu and The Vegetarian by Han Kang;; (fairly different books as far as I’m aware but I feel like they radiate similar Emo Vibes) -into dark academia books too -I think he really values the quality of writing in a book, he doesn’t have big preferences for tropes/plot/characters but does love poetic prose

here’s a list of the best, mediocre and worst kdramas i watched in 2020
no one asked for this but it’s happening because i have thoughts (also all opinions are my own if you disagree then get well soon i guess... no i’m kidding make your own posts about it don’t hate me please) ahsjsj anyways click to read a lengthy post and if you actually read the whole thing then thank you i hope you enjoy this wild ride!
THE BEST KDRAMAS -
mystic pop up bar - this show had everything i ask from a kdrama literally i can name it all found family (to real family), well thought out characters, a mystery plot, special effects, soft romances that were well written, a happy ending! no show in 2020 even comes close to how good this one was! the writers literally guided you throughout the whole thing so you could come up with theories and didn’t do a ‘aha! gotcha’ thing where they want to prove the audience wrong but they wanted us to be right and satisfied! the worst part about the drama is that it’s still so underrated and people just brush it off as some random fantasy show but it’s so much more than that! 1000/10
flower of evil - who doesn’t want to see lee joon gi being the son of a serial killer, living with the name of a man who is in a coma, and hiding his real identity from his wife who is a detective? this show constantly had me at the edge of my seat on a weekly basis so the emotions i went through while watching this are unparalleled! the writers also did such a good job on writing a coherent story that made sense and tied up all the plot points in the end. just a really satisfying show to watch! 10/10
where your eyes linger - i literally bought a $8 viki pass to watch this show so it should tell you everything you need to know about how i feel ahsjsj the episodes were 10 minutes long but we got a good story with well written characters who got character development in a total of 80 minutes it’s insane! honestly it’s still hard to believe this show had rookie actors because they were just so emotive that you could feel all the happiness, sadness, yearning and pining! probably one of my fave kdramas this year because of the acting that i always constantly rewatch! would recommend 10/10
crash landing on you - okay so this drama was actually released on my birthday last year and it was a time in my life when i was going through a lot so maybe it’s the comfort this show provided me through that time this is why i have such a soft spot for it? like the romance was good, it was funny, there was found family, the nk soldiers were all softies, there were strong female leads, soft male leads!!! ahh!! no other show on this list made me think about the unification of south korea and north korea irl because i wanted se ri and jeong hyeok to be together 4ever! but the only issue i had with this show was the ending they gave seung jun if they didn’t do that i’d give this show a 10/10 but just for that they get a 9/10
psycho but it’s okay - this was one of those shows where you’re literally like ‘wow everyone here needs therapy’ but this show was amazing i loved the story telling and how each episode related to children’s book/fairytales! the writers also did a good job with how carefully they talked about mental health in depth without villainising their characters but actually tried to make the audience understand why they were this way which included all the side characters too who had a well thought out story in each episode! also the dynamic between moon young, kang tae and sang tae was everything to me the actors all did an amazing job portraying their characters, it truly was a healing drama. the only thing i didn’t like about this show was the whole plastic surgery plot with the mother like that was very far fetched but it provided drama so i’ll let it slide because the rest was amazing. this show is a solid 8.5/10
18 again - another underrated gem! who would’ve thought a remake of that zac efron movie could be this good!! lee do hyun stole this show for sure the way he portrayed his character and gave heart eyes to his kids (when he’s only 25 irl was the best thing i saw this year ahsjs) i loved the family dynamics in this show, i loved how it talked about what it’s like to be young parents and how society still think it’s taboo to be divorced! it’s a show that makes you laugh and cry at the same time and that’s why everyone should watch it! however, the biggest clown thing this show did to me though was that i got sls for the first time while watching a kdrama... hwang in yeop if u’re reading this i love u and u deserved better 🤡 that aside this show was a 8/10
itaewon class - i actually didn’t watch this drama as it was airing because i thought i wouldn’t enjoy the plot but when i watched it i binged the whole thing in 2 days and my biggest regret is i didn’t watch it sooner! everyone knows i have a soft spot for park seo joon since he’s my favourite actor i’ve literally watched all his dramas like he could star in the trashiest drama out there and i’d still watch it and be like wow (looking at she was pretty 👀) this show aside from the acting had one of the best revenge plots in a kdrama! just watching a character realistically hustle his way to reach the top while fighting the corrupt man whose son killed his father was so so satisfying to watch! however, the love triangle in this show was questionable idk what they were trying to do with that but it personally annoyed me! but still i’ll give this show a 7.5/10 because i enjoyed it a lot!
do you like brahms? - kim min jae and park eun bin.. that’s all you need to know about why this is a good kdrama! i’m usually not a big fan of melodramas and everyone knows i prefer rom coms but this show was just so perfectly melo that i loved all the angst and pain we got!! also just watching two introverted people awkwardly fall in love was amazing! the characters story arcs were also handled pretty well with song ah finally learning to speak up for herself and joon young learning to express how he truly feels! but... the love square? was probably the most annoying thing the rest in my opinion was nicely done! i know people had mixed feelings about the ending but i loved that after all the pain joon young and song ah went through they got a happy ending together! 7/10
find me in your memory - okay this show started off very slow and it was confusing at the start but as it progressed everything in the plot started to fall into place! i mean this show really took opposites attract to a new level where the male lead could remember every single detail from his life but the female lead had to forget some of her traumatic memories to help her cope with her life! they were also tied together through a mutual character who was a big part of their lives in a different way! just an interesting melodrama with interesting characters i liked it! and moon ga young... i love you queen!!! 7/10
THE MEDIOCRE KDRAMAS -
more than friends - was the storytelling in this show groundbreaking? no. was the acting decent? yes. also probably the main reason i stuck with this show until the end! i think we can all agree lee soo had the best character development on this show he started off as a bad boy who wore one ear stud to actually becoming a well liked character... who else did it like him? no one. also the chemistry between the mains was 🔥 but the second male lead was so annoying is there a opposite word for second lead syndrome because i had that for sure! i think the best part about this show was the people i watched it with on here... shoutout to the five of us ahsjsj also this show introduced me to a talented actor/singer like ong seong wu (y’all know my kpop knowledge is nonexistent so no i didn’t know he was in a band called wanna one) all in all a predictable show but i had fun watching it so 6.5/10
tale of the nine tailed - i didn’t actually watch this show i watched it through gifs and instagram posts ahsjsjs so am i qualified to talk about my opinion definitely no... will I talk about it anyways yes lmao. lee rang deserved better that’s all goodbye and take care. 5.5/10
start up - probably one of the most awaited opinions. y’all thought this would be in the worst kdramas section but i decided to give this show some rights. the show started off strong, lost it’s way after episode 6 and then the last episode gave me what i wanted so i have mixed feelings. the writing was not the best i think we can all agree, love triangle as a plot device? wow so groundbreaking 🤡 the characters on the other hand... i loved every single one of them i mean ship wars? i don’t know her. the show had a lot of potential that was wasted but we also got some cute moments between the characters so there was really no winning or losing with this show? but in all honesty you can’t put a talented cast together like this and then just decide to give the audience a mediocre plot but the writers did exactly that! i think i can redirect y’all to my ‘crimes this show committed’ post for a in-depth analysis. lastly nam do san was a GOOD and REFRESHING male lead and ji pyeong was also a GOOD and FUN second male lead!!! this show gave me the ugliest ship war ever that i was transported back to my high school tvd days so thank you for that!! but the cast was loveable and all had a lot of chemistry together so here’s a 5/10 maybe that's too generous but... i think the reason why i didn't enjoy watching this show as much was definitely because of the tag on here lmao
THE WORST KDRAMAS -
the king eternal monarch - i miss clowning this show so much. the amount of braincells i lost while trying to understand this plot... i should be compensated by the writers. however, woo do hwan was a treat to look at on a weekly basis... however the writers kept decreasing his screen time even though he had a dual role... make it make sense? and i cannot comment on the plot of this show because i still don’t understand anything? also in my opinion tae eul and lee gon were the most bland couple of 2020, there was no chemistry between them and there was just a random kiss in episode 5 and they randomly said i love you... where was the development? also lee gon was soooo boring and such a one dimensional male lead! literally all the side characters were so much more interesting and the cast was good... but this plot. 2/10
do do sol sol la la sol - i wanna fight the writer who decided that the plot twist on the show would be that jun is a minor? i had no expectations from this show but it looked cute and nonsensical but that plot twist made me run the other way so fast that i never looked back! just because jun is a boy they really thought this would be excused like lmao we all have critical thinking skills???? the clown behaviour. a solid 1/10
record of youth - i hate this show so much. imagine not utilising park so dam who just starred in the biggest oscar winning movie to her full potential. imagine just making her a love interest to park bo gum’s character in the year 2020. i watched it up until episode 6 and i kept waiting for her character to get development... but it never happened so i dropped this show. also this show featured the MOST useless love triangle i have ever seen in my life like what was the point? also park bo gum’s characters family was straight up annoying (minus the grandpa) but they got so much screen time like that should’ve been given to park so dam... also villainising a gay side character for no reason at all in the year 2020? this show was a waste of my time i want the 6 hours i spent watching this back. -100/10
backstreet rookie - i watched one episode of this and literally wanted to rip my eyeballs out of my head. idk what ji chang wook was thinking when he signed this drama i think he lost his ability to read because that's the only reasonable explanation for why he chose to star in such a dumpster fire show! this show had a racist character... had a high schooler kiss an adult... sexist jokes... just the worst things you can think of in a drama... this show had it. i still can’t believe so many people watched this show to the point where it had better ratings than pbio... really made me question everyone’s taste? but sorry can’t relate my taste is excellent so here’s the rating this show actually deserves -1000/10
if you made it this far... thank you for reading. let’s continue to love some kdramas together and get clowned by others in 2021! looking forward to it 😅

A Little LOKI Theory Post
*SPOILERS FOR LOKI E1-3 BELOW CUT*
I am loathe to admit that I love the new LOKI TV series, mainly because of the Mobius/Loki dynamic, the interesting sci-fi plot, and just... I so far surprisingly like every episode. This was the show I had such low expectations for, because I didn’t really like LOKI – I felt he was the Moriarty of the MCU, overused when they didn’t need him, and making me annoyed by an actor I love.
EXCEPT I’m also a sucker for character-driven, psychoanalysis stories, like all these D+ Marvel shows are, and it’s leaving me super shocked about me liking characters I didn’t before. I’m fully invested in all these characters now.
I think the only reasom I really wanted to see this show for was because it ties directly into the next Dr. Strange movie, so YEAH, I’m in love multiverse and time travel things, so it was inevitable that I would enjoy this show, I think.
AND of course, I’ve theories and speculations because there’s a lot to work with, and I LOVE stories like these, so I decided I would take some time out and stretch out my meta-writing grey cells. And I wanted somewhere to have my theories/ideas written out before they come to fruition, because DAMNIT I have headcanons and hopes and dreams.
So here we go, spoilers below cut. Please note I know nothing about the comics aside from what other theorists and reviewers have mentioned:
The TVA are “the bad guys” but I think it goes deeper than that... Like the whole Timekeeper thing is really sus. I think it’s only one Timekeeper, who is Kang the Conqueror, who maintains the Sacred Timeline to ensure that he stays in power to PREVENT the Multiverse War which I think he knows happened to stop him. I also think Renslayer is behind all of this suspicious thing; I learned that in the comics Renslayer is a love interest for Kang, so like........... SUS.
AND I think Multiverse War they talked about in the beginning of the show IS the Multiverse War they’re ABOUT TO HAVE. This is a show about non-linear time, and there’s hints about multiverses in the next Spiderman, and Dr Strange is LITERALLY called “Multiverse of Madness”. Wild Theory: Maybe Doctor Strange IS one of the Time Keepers following the Multiverse War.
Loki initially wants to learn the enchanting that Sylvie does for his own selfish gain, and I think he was lying about breaking the TempPad so he would force her to open up. HOWEVER, I think he had a sudden change of heart after learning about the TVA’s Variant Staff; we already see him sort of fond of both Mobius and remembers Casey’s name, so I feel like that he will end up using this knowledge he gained very differently.
Further on this point, they established in Ep 3 that TVA agents / staff need actual real memories to “manipulate” them. So, I think Loki will use this power he learned from Sylvie (I mean, she explained to him how to do it, and this show is really good at using the “Chekov’s guns” given to us) to bring Mobius to “his side”, and TOGETHER they take down the TVA and make it what it should be. Mobius is very dedicated to the TVA, so I really do forsee that it will be Loki “freeing” Mobius as the catalyst to swaying to siding with Loki until the end. He’s a good man with a big heart for humanity, so I think he will totally side with freeing everyone else.
On that note, I think the reason Mobius is fascinated with the nineties is because he’s a variant jetskiier pulled from the nineties. I suspect in his original timeline he probably had a jetski accident and died, but in the Variant timeline, he survived, and out of pity I think Renslayer “saved” him and recruited him. The TVA wiped his memories after he couldn’t cope with the fact that he was SUPPOSED to die.
ALSO still on Mobius, I think every time he keeps questioning too much, he gets his memory wiped, which would explain why he never remembers leaving the cup stains on Renslayer’s table.
I think there’s more to Miss Minutes than meets the eye. Another theory I had was that she was similar to VIKI in iRobot, essentially running the company to her programmed “laws” after the TimeKeepers passed on. So like there’s no TimeKeepers at all, but there was at one time, and Miss Minutes was left to her own devices.
Another theory similar to this, is the Doctor Who episode, The Long Game, where everyone wants to be promoted to “Floor 500″ because it’s rumoured to be a paradise and is the top floor no one has ever returned from; It turns out it’s run by an alien that feeds on the human or something similar, and the people who went to the top floor ended up frozen husks of who they were. Not saying it’s this exact thing, but more the idea that everyone thinks what’s upstairs is a magical wonderful benevolent corporation looking out for what’s best for everyone, but instead it’s one evil thing doing stuff for their own purpose. Eh.
Another rogue theory: Mobius IS a Loki variant, which is why he’s obsessed with Loki himself, knows Loki better than Loki knows himself, and either knows and omitted it, or DOESN’T know but naturally is intrigued by the Loki Variant and him always finding out the truth is WHY his memory keeps getting wiped, and why everyone is always squeamish about having a Loki around. Mobius mentioned that Loki is the one Variant they have stopped more Lokis than any other Variant....
On that thought: IF Lokis are the most common Variant they capture, I think a LOT of the TVA are Loki Variants, trapped in the forms they were presenting as when they were brought in, and because magic doesn’t work in the TVA, they CAN’T turn off the glamour, had their memories wiped, and in turn could now be Codenamed Casey, or Mobius, or B15........ An abstract theory, but I think it’s interesting.
And another, since I learned that it is in the comics: Mobius is a clone drone. This one saddens me and I really hope he’s not. Because I love Mobius.
I think Sylvie was a Variant who worked for the TVA, but somehow had an awakening and wants to free everyone else... the only thing against this theory is her seeming surprised that her magic stopped working when she arrived at the TVA. If she was an agent, she would know that magic doesn’t work within the TVA.
And I think this series will inevitably – if the rumours of a Season 2 are true – have the Mobius / Loki dynamic solving Time Crimes... a.... Holmes and Watson if you will. :D HAHHA.
So yeah. This list will change obviously for the next 3 weeks, and I had a lot of fun with this so I will probably keep it up.
Some things I hope happen by the end:
A giant “probably not going to happen because this is Disney”: I hope they pay-off the “bisexual” confirmation by the end of this... highkey with Mobius (damn it I ship them okay), but lowkey just even a passing remark about anyone LOL. I really ship Lokius, okay. I need this dynamic in the MCU
PLEASE DON’T KILL CASEY, we love Casey. #FREECASEY
I’ll be really honest here, I will effing GROAN and be a not-happy Steph if they do the ship that I think they’re gonna do: Sylvie x Loki. Which is weird to me that Disney would be okay with self-love, but the OBVIOUS initial dynamic of Loki x Mobius is too much, “look we gave you bisexual Loki, aren’t you happy enough??” Just. I dunno. It’s weird / a pet peeve of mine that a lot of online reviewers are bitching about “woke” Disney the one time they ACTUALLY FINALLY let a title character say they’re queer, but are all “UWU SYLVIE AND LOKI ARE GONNA GET TOGETHER BECAUSE LOKI LOVES HIMSELF UWU”. Even though Loki spent legit more screen time with Mobius, and literally did everything he told Sylvie that he wouldn’t do around people he doesn’t trust around Mobius ALREADY?? It’s like they already forgot about the first two eps. LEGIT the whole dagger=love metaphor LITERALLY happened in the previous two episodes, but alright chiefs. Anyway. Sorry, it’s stupid to be bothered by it.
We’re gonna get that heart wrench moment that the other two shows had, and I TRULY BELIEVE it’s gonna be between Loki and Mobius when Loki tells / shows Mobius the truth. LOOK I JUST WANT MORE OF THEM OKAY. And I need my heart ripping moment in this show within the next two eps LOL. We got one in WandaVision. We got one in FATWS. GIVE ME ONE IN LOKI. MAKE ME LIKE LOKI.
Anyway, so that’s my rambling. Thanks for taking time out to read all this. I miss theorizing, and this show is perfect for me to do it. I’m not AS good at these shows as I was with Sherlock, but it’s still fun, because it’s new and my brain is full of headcanons and idea things. I’ll write again after Ep 4, I think. <3 Thank you lovelies for letting me do this!

I've scrolled through a lot of discourse on episode 4 of Loki and I need to talk about it
(good lord its a whole essay im sorry)
I gave myself a headache from crying while watching this. (I joined the Loki fandom post-IW so I’ve never had to see him die before while emotionally invested and boy!!! Is it doing things to my fragile psyche!!). But now I’m rehydrated and more stable and ready to party so let’s go
Right off the bat, I loved this episode — loved it loved it loved it. Silly, manic in-shock Loki is gone and shit is getting real. My thought while watching this was truly “wow this is my favorite episode so far” and damn am I in a minority with this opinion lol.
So here’s my perspective on some of the discourse flying around, and just general thoughts
On the whole ‘Narcissist’ thing:
IMO, Mobius saying this means nothing: he’s mad and he’s spouted lies at Loki to push his buttons before (see: every interaction they’ve had since episode 1).
Loki saying this to Sif-- well, Loki is and always has been an unreliable narrator on himself. The major theme of this show is that he doesn’t really know who he is, deep down, and he’s trying to figure it out. The TVA is taking advantage of this, and even though he’s trying to stay above it all throughout the series, he's still in a really impressionable spot and absorbing what others tell him about himself. (not to mention this scene is literal torture and he’s already proven that he’ll say whatever he needs to to get out of it.)
But he does admit one true thing when he says “It’s because I’m scared of being alone.” (And like wow okay same don’t mind my tears) but here’s a big brain idea!
Sif pulls him up and says ‘You are alone, and you always will be’, which is like, WOW that’s cruel after what he said, but it makes me ask wonder: Sif is sentient in this scene, but obviously it’s not really her. Who’s controlling her? And why is it so important for them to make sure Loki thinks he’s alone? I’d go as far as to wager that Sif never even said this to Loki, the big bad made this up. (he admits he forgot about this ever happening, I doubt he’d remember what she said.)
I think the nexus event on Lamentis that caused the branch was two Loki’s joining sides. Or, Loki no longer being alone. Loki insists while talking to Mobius that “she’s not my partner!” but she was, and they were partners from the moment they grabbed hands on Lamentis — right when the timeline broke off. I think Loki variants teaming up is the biggest threat to whoever is pulling the strings here — that’s why the post-credit scene is so significant. (Is Loki the only person who has multiple variants of himself who've escaped the TVA?)
And here’s where I’m gonna get salty--so I apologize but i need to rant about this-- but it’s seriously pissing me off that so many people are intentionally reading this as Loki/Sylvie and then being mad about it when that’s clearly not what’s happening and why is everyone acting like Mobius with one angry jealous brain cell and no critical thinking about the context of the characters.
If people ship it that’s chill, but for the people who are against it—it’s clearly supposed to be platonic, and it’s so upsetting that in the year of our lord 2021 we still can’t have a man and woman hold hands without people saying it’s proof they want to f*ck each other, like what in the misogyny??? STOP. This show was written by a bi woman and Tom the-most-emotionally-sensitive-man-on-this-planet Hiddleston — let them display an intimate loving friendship goddammit. This isn’t romance, this is Loki learning how to admit he cares for someone who cares for him in return — something he hasn’t experienced a whole lot of and clearly doesn’t know how to navigate.
(You have permission to personally come at me if it actually turns out to be romantic by the end of the show—but as of right now I will die on this hill.)
Him putting his hands on her shoulders to me was a clear indication he wanted to hug her, and I’d like to think he would have told her he cares about her, and that they can figure it out together. Because these are two characters who’ve never had anyone else to rely on and trust, and for the first time they’re not alone.
And I have to think about what prompted this from Loki. He just lost Mobius the moment after he called him friend. The way I see it, he’s just realized the true gravity of what they’re up against, and Loki is suddenly very afraid of losing Sylvie too before he tells her cares about her, of dying truly alone because he never told anyone what they meant to him. (Don’t think about this in the context of him also having watched his entire family die knowing he never told Frigga or Thor how much he loved them either don’t think about it—) He’s realized, finally, that he has doesn’t have to be alone, that he can choose to be close to people and have friends. And god it’s so heartbreaking that he never got to hug her or have that moment with her. I really hope they get that in the end. I hope he gets it with Mobius. I hope they have a group hug. I'm upset again.
Okay, deep breath, ANYWAY.
Hopefully this didn’t come off as attacking anyone else’s opinions.
Personally, I love this character so much, I’m just so happy to be seeing him in his own storyline that they can’t go wrong here. Objectively I think the production is amazing, and personally I love they way Loki’s character has been explored so far. (Yea yea, was I HOPING that the bad-memory loop would morph into Sanctuary and Thanos and like a full exploration of his true worst memories? Yes but let’s be honest my whump needs will never be met in canon and I have to accept that lol.)
Honestly I left all my own meta about this character at the door when the series started, because for me the opinions I’ve formed from the hundreds of (amazing) fics and meta I’ve read on this character and what’s true in canon are basically inseparable at this point, and no portrayal is going to live up to the way Loki exists in my head. Canon Loki and fic Loki are two different characters and I can enjoy both at the same time :) I’ve just loved seeing the character get given the different dimensions he deserves, and written by people who care about his story.
Also, it’s not over! If he was dead and this was it I’d be very upset, but this is the rock bottom of the storyline, and I think the whole next two episodes will be the build back up. I trust it’s gonna be worth it. SO hyped for flaming sword Loki. I would die for Sylvie, but I’m excited to see him on his own again.
My current most pressing questions are:
-what was the fallout of Sylvie’s bombing the timeline? (Have we seen that yet, am I just dumb and missing something?)
-Obviously, who’s behind it all? (Kang? Is there a head honcho Very Evil Loki at the top?)
-How much does Ravonna actually know, and to what extent is she just a pawn too? She asked Sylvie to prune her— she’s probably also been duped here.
-Is everything we learned about the sacred timeline BS? How much of what the TVA workers believe is real?
-my favorite theory so far is that the war of the timelines miss minutes talks about hasn’t actually happened yet, maybe making setting that into motion is the true endgame, leading into Multiverse of Madness?
(Side note: holy HELL im so excited for this soundtrack to drop on Spotify. It’s SO AMAZING I had CHILLS in the end credits.)
Open invitation to discuss anything with me if you feel inclined! :)

Riverdale 5x04 Recap
Reggie getting lines is the first sign this must be a dream sequence
The Saving Private Archie sequence was well done. The twist where Hiram shoots Archie was a good one I’ll give RAS that
When discussing Archie in the army with some friends last week I said that they would only refer to Archie having been in a war and would only refer to the enemy as the enemy and lo and behold
Archie reading a book is already the most unrealistic thing abut this ep
Archie reading a Farewell to Arms is in keeping with the writer’s usual subtlety
The Second World War style army uniforms work great with the show’s aesthetic
Toni’s pregnant! And the White Wyrm is Pop’s basement!
RAS said we’d probably find out who Toni’s baby daddy is in 5x08. Presumably it’s someone we know which doesn’t leave a long list of potential father: Reggie or Sweetpea would be at the top of the list
Pop Tate better not be dead
Trash bag killer sounds nice!
A Fargo name drop
Is Betty sleeping with her instructor? That’s so unethical
Oh god they’re going full Silence of the Lambs with Betty having been kept in a pit by the trash bag killer
So the Trash bag killer captured an FBI agent and instead of killing her he held her captive for 2 weeks until she either escaped or was rescued or was let go? Unless there’s gonna be some big twist that really doesn’t sound likely to me
That serial killer brother (along with her serial killer dad) is exactly why Betty would never have been let into the real FBI
Chadwick is such a douchey name ( and he lowkey dresses like Hiram). He wants kids after just a year of marriage and wants Veronica to work less? Lotta red flags already
I’m going to quote an interview RAS did with E News regarding the timeline:
"Yeah, we're definitely in a time paradox," he says. "I think it would have been less jarring if we'd had the organic season break. But yes...the show's timeless so that's what we're hanging on to, to be honest. Like yes if you if you really, if you really analyze it it's like we're either in 2028, or we've been seven years in the past...there's a discrepancy there for sure." And yes, he also acknowledges that Veronica claimed post-jump that it is still 2021."Yes, she says it's 2021," he agrees. "But I think in the graduation episode it was also 2020...there's a discrepancy there for sure."
I have extremely low expectations for the Riverdale writers but fucking around with the timeline you’ve already established is just a slap in the face to the audience. Better shows than Riverdale have botched their timelines and it’s always a symptom of big problems in the writers room when they can’t even handle that basic task. Not to mention the contempt it shows to the audience
Graduation was in 2020 so it should be 2027 now. Even if they didn’t graduate in 2020, Fred’s tombstone said he died in 2019 so how does that math add up? If  it’s now 2021 and the kids graduated back in 2014 then that would mean that Riverdale High’s first graduating class was in 1939 rather than 1945 which would mean that those classmates who inspired Archie to join the army were enlisting months before the Second World War broke out and two and a half years before the attack on Pearl Harbour caused the USA to enter to war
All strong marriages are built on deception (was that a reference to Katy Keene from the now cancelled Katy Keene show?). This accident better have really been serious if they keep bringing it up
Nice to see Hermione again
They look fine for surviving a helicopter crash
Chadwick collects faberge eggs just like Hiram... and Veronica decided to sell it... methinks Chadronica is not gonna last
Ah yes Fitzgerald and Hemmingway, two writers known for their happy lives and  peaceful deaths of old age, really good examples to live by Jughead
Lmao! Only Jughead would be seduced by a chick wanting him to read her book
Good on Kangs for staying together this whole time
Cheryl is straight up living in the 19th century and I’m here for it. Thank god Nana Rose is alive
Reggie working for Hiram is an interesting twist
Kinda weird that Toni is trying to get back together with Cheryl when she’s pregnant with some dude’s kid. Honestly it makes perfect sense that Cheryl would believe that she’s cursed
Omg is Cheryl gonna get into art forgery?? That would actually be so great
Of fucking course we’re circling back to Hiram’s real estate deals
Thank god Pop Tate is alive
Man how stupid do you have to be to hitch hike nowadays especially when the truck that pulls up has a fucking skeleton on the front!
Once more I’ll quote RAS on the serial killer plot:
"As that mystery unfolds, it starts enveloping all of our characters," Aguirre-Sacasa says. "And in some ways tragically, including a character we've known and loved since season one."
That’s a vague statement that something bad will happen but if he means that a character we’ve known and loved since S1 is dying then it won’t be any of the mains. Sheriff Keller would be a good tragic death, the last of the good dads left in Riverdale
In another interview focusing on the ships RAS mentioned that Bughead would still have a lot of trauma from the Barchie kiss to work through, that Barchie would have a deep connection, and that Varchie still have a spark but Archie wouldn’t make a move on Ronnie while she’s still married
I would be surprised if Chadwick doesn’t meet a violent death at some point so I don’t think he’s a long term obstacle. If Hiram is the big bad for the remainder of the series then there’s a path to get Varchie back together as they team up to take him down
RAS also mentioned how nice it was to not always have to write couple scenes, to be able to have Betty scenes without Jughead and Veronica scenes without Archie and vice versa. An odd statement to make as no one was forcing him to keep those couples together. The writers could easily have broken up Varchie after Hiram’s numerous attempts to kill Archie or used the fact that Bughead had a shared half brother and their parents were living together in a romantic relationship to sink them
Well until next Riverdalers

Analysing Episode 6 Sylvie - her actions, her choice and a whole bunch of theories (Spoilers!)
After watching the Loki finale, I have been scrolling through Tumblr for quite a long time. I already knew that people's opinions were gonna be incredibly different but I definitely did not expect this much negative backlash. Especially when it comes to two specific topics - the Sylvie and Loki kiss and Sylvie's betrayal (/choice/actions). I'm gonna be talking about the latter, for it is another time I'll talk a lot about Sylki's relationship. (Beware that this post is also really long though)
First of all, everyone has different opinions and I respect that. I absolutely adore movies, books, TV-shows and videogames because despite what's happening within the story, each viewer has the opportunity to see something else in what they are shown (besides the obvious canon). What I mean is that everyone interprets certain scenes differently and gains the opportunity to make up theories. Therefore I want to clarify that I do, by no means, want to force my views upon others. It's nice to see people talk about the Loki Series (as long as it doesn't get too negative and hateful, iykwim) because every viewer can share their specific experiences with it :)
I'm gonna analyse Sylvie's character a bit ( because, well, I'm bored and I kinda wanna protect my beloved character that I've only had for a few weeks >:^0 AND the only thing I could think about the past day was this episode) and try to explain her actions in the finale (keep in mind: not justifying them, but explaining them).
I'm terribly bad at concentrating on one single topic point so I kinda made a 'list' with questions and whatnot that I wanted to dive deeper into. Your thoughts are also more than welcome!
I already want to apologise for grammatical mistakes, for I am not a native english speaker.
Sylvie's reason for being taken away by the TVA is still kinda unknown
You know, I've heard quite a few theories about Sylvie's nexus event by now. Some people say that she got taken away because she was playing with her toys in a way that indicates her having a good heart (playing as a Valkyrie and wanting to save someone, another hint may also be the reaction she showed towards someone else who got kidnapped by the TVA, yelling at the soldiers to "help them out"). Another theory is that she already knew she was adopted, unlike Loki who found out way later than her. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but we never got to hear the actual reason why Sylvie got kidnapped. Even Renslayer didn't say a word about it.
Now I'm gonna come up with yet another theory. What if Sylvie didn't really have a nexus event in the first place how we know it? In the final episode, Kang has said that he has planned out everything beforehand so both Loki and Sylvie would end up right in front of him. Did Kang's plan also possibly involve him getting killed by Sylvie? Hear me out: We don't actually know if the Kang we saw in episode 6 is the actual 'nice' Kang and not one of his evil variants. He has already talked about 'reincarnation', so who says that after ending the first universial war, Kang didn't reincarnate into someone with an unpure heart (aka, one of his evil variants)? That'd mean that the real Kang would have been killed and the Kang we've seen in the finale is actually an evil version that simply lied to both Loki and Sylvie. Besides that, we also don't know if Kang actually had that 'point' where he didn't know what would happen next. The show revolves a whole lot around trust, not only regarding the characters, but also the viewers. Who's to say that Kang said the truth? Maybe he planned it all out: He created the TVA, let Sylvie get kidnapped and therefore give her a reason to hunt after Kang, who in return could reincarnate if he got killed OR get killed and therefore give his other variants a possibility to conquer the universes yet again. Don't you think that it was kinda suspicious that Sylvie escaped so easily out of Renslayer's hands? The one person who's probably closest to Kang? (Even though, yes, she doesn't know who he is but Renslayer seems to play a very important role in his plan). What if the Kang we saw was the nice Kang though? Would he plan everything up to a point where another universial war would break out because he might know that there is indeed something/someone out there who could end it and therefore, possibly end Kang as a whole or create a new kind of system revolving around the universe? And therefore, get rid of the possibility of another universial war happening? Who knows. I am definitely overthinking and reaching at this point. One more thing that stood out to me while thinking about the episode again today (which kinda weighs more into my theory of Sylvie being a keypoint (or rather a puppet) in this plan): Kang has talked about his Tempad and that he knew that he would need it to have enough energy. But for what? Yes, his initial idea was to give it to Loki and Sylvie to rule over the TVA, but what if it was supposed to be used for another reason? Sylvie used it to transport Loki back to the TVA (though I kinda think he was accidentally transported to another timeline, hence the reactions of both Mobius and Hunter B-15) and therefore get rid of the only thing that could prevent Sylvie from killing Kang. The Tempad was used to secure Sylvie's path and therefore eradicated Kang's only option of safety. You can see the Tempad loosing it's glow after Kang was killed, possibly due to Kang himself being the origin of it's energy. But maybe, it only had enough energy for one specific action: getting rid of Kang's protection. I do think that Sylvie is now stuck at this place and somehow has to find a way back to Loki's reality. The Tempad clearly doesn't work anymore (at least in my opinion) and there was quite a long shot showing the Tempad up close, which is kinda suspicious tbh. Also, something regarding Sylvie's unanswered nexus event feels kinda odd to me, too.
My theory in conclusion: Sylvie (and Loki) are unconciously helping Kang with his plan (a big, big, BIG plan). They're his puppets, especially Sylvie, because she's the one who created the Multiverse to begin with. Think about Loki, who was said to be manipulated by Thanos in Avengers? It's basically the same train of thoughts.
Sylvie does not take Kang's offer into consideration
To be honest, this was something to be absolutely expected of her. Sylvie was kidnapped as a child, taken away from her home and family, and had to grow up in countless apocalypses where she could never form a real bond with anybody because she knew that those people were all going to die anyway. (Please don't judge me if I got that wrong, maybe I understood the next thing wrong? Idk, if so, I'm very sorry) She revealed that she was kidnapped way before Loki was even born (something I have to think about, too, because, if Loki is the actual Loki the other variants are based off, why did he exist after Sylvie? Wouldn't that make him a variant of Sylvie instead? Idk timelines and parallel universes are hard to understand for me :') I'm kinda stoopid ), therefore she must've had spent several decades of her life running away. She had no life at all. Her only goal was to bring down the TVA and whoever is behind it, driven by pure rage, seeking out revenge for stealing her life and basically forbidding her existence. And now that she has found said person, the only thing that'd be right for her character would be to go for the kill. As immoral as it may sound, it is the only thing that makes sense. And I am actually very happy that Sylvie's goals didn't change besides the fact that she did indeed soften up a little and has gotten someone really close to her. In contrary, it makes sense for Loki to do the exact opposite. His goals have changed. He does not act the way he did in Thor or Avengers anymore. He has found another goal for himself: to make Sylvie feel alright. He has had immense character growth and didn't take a chance to change his goals back in the Thor movies or in Avengers, (....maybe later in Thor: Ragnarok, kinda). This is exactly what I think might happen to Sylvie, too. She is at the beginning of her character arc. She doesn't take the chance to change her goal, but goes for her original goal instead. Said goal does not really have positive consequences (though, maybe it might have some? We're about to find out), which results in a so called 'negative character development', which Loki has already gone through. I think that Sylvie is gonna grow as a character in season 2 and get a positive character development in addition, just like Loki did. I highly doubt that she's gonna become the antagonist, it does not make sense at this point.
Why does she not take Kang's offer (besides her very obvious intention ofc)? That leads straight (or not so straight, pun intended) to the next thing I wanna talk about. Sylvie's distrust in everything and everyone. Besides not wanting to let other people go through what she has been gone through and wanting to let people have a free will, she also does not trust Kang with his offer of 'ruling' the timeline. And it might be because she also does not trust the one she'd be ruling with: Loki.
Why does Sylvie not trust Loki?
I don't even have a specific answer to that, except that Sylvie has an incredibly thick wall built up around her. Loki has always been portrayed as the one you should not trust because he's known for backstabbing people. Loki could have thought the same about Sylvie, but he didn't. Due to his character arc, he himself has learned to trust other people and tries to redeem himself with making himself a person others can trust (He may project that onto Sylvie, meaning that he puts his trust into a Loki variant and therefore in himself, too). You can connect that fact with both Sylvie and Mobius. They're both people who are incredibly important to Loki. He wants them to trust him. He openly told Sylvie about his mistakes and tells her that he's not that person anymore. Sylvie on the other hand does not trust that easily and is - in my opinion - a very important key regarding Loki's character development. It is incredibly hard for Sylvie to trust others (probably due to her trauma) and it therefore creates a very difficult situation for Loki, where he has to 'prove' himself as trustworthy. It's basically about 'trusting yourself' if you put it that way. It's something Loki has to learn about himself: not betraying the trust of others. Sylvie might have to learn something like this, too: learning to trust someone else. It's kinda like a two sided coin - one side is about putting trust in others, whereas the other is about gaining trust from others (and what you do with it). (Good) Relationships in general are always based off trust and honesty. So in order for them to be able to have healthy relationships with others and themselves, they have to learn about trust within themselves (I hope you understand my point, I got carried away, sorry). Loki started to trust Sylvie very easily (maybe because of love? Maybe because of something else? There are still a lot of unanswered questions) whereas Sylvie doesn't trust Loki very easily. Sylvie's character arc might (hopefully) carry on with this topic in the next season.
Was that kiss initiated due to emotional or practical reasons?
Kinda both, somehow. I do think that Sylvie used the kiss to her advantage but you can also clearly see how moved she is while hearing Loki's words. Facial expressions are insanely important when it comes to acting and both Tom and Sophia delivered perfectly. You might've already heard of the quote "The eyes tell more than words could ever say". Look at Sylvie's face when Loki tells her that he wants her to be okay. She is teary eyed, sighs even. She is indeed touched by his words and I strongly think that Sylvie also has non-platonic feelings for Loki, despite barely showing anything.
Here's a snippet out of an interview with Sophia:
Tumblr media
(Source)
Both Sylvie and Loki are said to be people who can not trust others. They both have a vulnerable side though. Loki clearly showed that several times when with Sylvie (singing to her, the blanket scene, the comfort scene in the room of the timekeepers, the confession of wanting her to be okay) and is also shown incredibly vulnerable at the end of episode 6: there are several shots showing him, crying. Sure, we have already seen Loki cry a few times beforehand but this time, it's different. He cries because the one person he is the most vulnerable with doesn't trust him, and that does hurt like hell. By the way, if you look at the close-up shot of Sylvie after she yeeted Loki back into the TVA, you can see pain in her eyes, too. But that pain quickly shifts into rage and determination. Something that I have to admit was incredibly well executed by Sophia and the people who directed this shot. Sylvie does show her vulnerable side for a brief moment before putting up her walls again and reaching for her goal.
In conclusion: I think Sylvie initiated the kiss as an emotional response to Loki's words but also used it to distract him to be able to kick him back into the TVA at the same time. Keep in mind that it was because he was in her way of fullfilling her goal. She didn't want to kill or hurt him, so she sent him away instead. So, yes, I think the kiss had both emotional and practical intentions.
Did Sylvie betray Loki?
Even though it really felt like she betrayed him, she didn't. Let me tell you why:
Loki knew exactly what Sylvie was gonna do after reaching the person behind the TVA. Loki supported her all the way up until Kang suggested a deal to them, that's where Loki's and Sylvie's paths divided. Loki is a very smart character, he outsmarts a lot of Marvel characters and therefore I think it's very in character for him to consider one part of the deal and outweigh the pros and cons. Not because he wants the throne, no, but because he wants Sylvie to be okay. A universial war could lead to countless casualties - possibly those people close around him, so of course he would want to keep her safe through that decision. Making them both rulers over the TVA and the sacred timeline would probably guarantee a strong protection from several threats. Also, maybe he thought about the possibility of Sylvie regretting her decision (which she clearly did in the end) and wanted to protect her from even more emotional pain. But as we know, Sylvie's intention has always been laid out in front of her and it didn't change. Loki knew what choice she was going to make and merely tried to change her way - without being successfull.
I don't really know what to think about this scene though. To me, it doesn't meet the requirements of a 'betrayal' but at the same time it does feel like one. It's very difficult to explain :'D
Also, I've seen some people asking themselves how or if Loki will ever be able to forgive Sylvie for making her decision. Let me assure you one thing: he will forgive her. He has said it himself: "I know what you're feeling, I know what you're going through". He has been at Sylvie's point, too. Not only once, but several times already. He seems to have learned from his mistakes, Sylvie has yet to do so. ("I betrayed everyone I've ever loved" is a line to keep in mind now, too. Maybe it could even be projected onto Sylvie this time, because Loki is indeed very dear to her) If there's someone out there who can empathise with Sylvie the most, it is Loki.
Why would Sylvie straight up cause another Universial War?
As I already said. Sylvie's arc is a negative character arc. It does not end well and causes a lot of chaos. Think about Peter Quill in Infinity War and his rage moment on Titan. They could have had the infinity gauntlet way before but Peter got emotional (understandable) and therefore destroyed the chance of an early good ending. The same happened with Sylvie. Her decision was mostly emotional, but also practical on the other hand (giving people free will and freedom). She will face the consequences and I'm pretty sure she's gonna redeem herself and tries to help fix the big mess she has caused.
Sylvie's breakdown
Another scene that was absolutely brilliant was the scene after Sylvie has killed Kang. She backs off slowly and then slumps to the ground, breathing heavily (now that I think about it, I think she even started to cry). She has waited for this moment her whole life, but now that it's done, it kinda feels like she didn't exactly get what she needed. Hunter B-15 has already mentioned it before that Sylvie needs to hunt the person behind the TVA down, unlike Renslayer, who only wants to find out who it really is. Although Sylvie might have recognized that this wasn't everything she needed at this point. We already got to know that she didn't have a clue what to do after she's done with the TVA. She didn't have a goal beyond that. And now that she has reached the point where she is clueless, she might have recognized what she really needed beyond finishing her goal: friends, a life, literally anything that doesn't make her feel alone. And she literally just kicked that one thing away from her. Loki, the one person who has been closest to her and gave her the feeling of not being alone anymore, the feeling of having a friend (or someone more than a friend), has been pushed away by herself. I think that in this exact moment where she sinks to the ground she recognizes that not trusting Loki was a mistake this time and that revenge isn't enough to satisfy her forever.
But maybe that one thing that will satisfy her for a long time is something she's returning back to in season 2. I am so excited to see her again and find out more about Sylvie's character!
Thank you so much for reading this! If you want to add something to this list or correct something or anything, feel free to do so. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Sylvie's character in the finale and what you think might happen with her in season 2 :) see y'all, stay safe and have a nice day/night!

Long Loki rant incoming
Ok first things first I've always liked Loki a lot as a character but I don't consider myself a really really big fan mainly because I haven't read the comics. So all this rant is gonna be only about mcu loki and loki in the mcu has been written differently depending on the movie so yeah. And on that note let's go!!!!
So today I'm gonna talk about what I liked and what I didn't like about the Loki show. This is obviously just my opinion, you can disagree with me! I'd love to hear your opinions!
First I wanna talk about is the writing of Loki's character. So previously it has been established in the mcu that Loki doesn't do bad things just because he's a bad guy or because he wants power above everything else, but because after all the manipulation and lying he went through as a child, the abuse, always been seen as less than those around him and being taught to hate himself for who he was (a Jotun). He wants validation and being treated the same as the others, he doesn't really care about ruling or being king. His actions are a result of his trauma. So the show painting him as "He's a bad guy!! He's evil he can't help it it's in his nature!! He just wants to be king!!!" felt off to me since it completely goes against all the previous canon. Apart from that, I feel the show also erased other aspects of him that had always been essential to his character, such as him being very smart and always having a plan, and his powers (he BARELY used his powers throughout the season and he's supposed to be the best sorcerer in the nine realms. Please). So yeah there's that. I didn't absolutely despise his character in the show or anything like that, he generally seemed more happy and chill and that was good, I just felt some aspects of the character seemed inconsistent.
Apart from Loki, something I loved about the show were all the new characters that we were introduced to. Sylvie was absolutely fantastic, she had a well written tragic backstory, she had a goal and she had layers. She was a really well written character. Also she was just really cool overall, she had a cool personality and seeing her use her powers was very fun. (Sylvie your hand in marriage) (I guess I can talk about the "betrayal" now. So yeah not gonna lie I don't think it was that bad. She had a goal she had been pursuing her whole life and she obviously prioritized that before a guy who she met a few days ago. She did hurt him of course but still it's easy to understand her decision.) Mobius was also really cool, in the first episode I didn't like him much but I started liking him a lot later on. He's just a good guy, he wants to help people. (HE ONLY WANTED A JETSKI MARVEL). And I liked his story a lot, he was forced into working for the tva because his memories were erased and he was told what he was doing the right thing when killing all those people, but once he finds out all of it was false he immediately starts going against it and trying to help as many people as he can. Ravonna was also a good character (I keep saying all of them are good characters lol they're well written ok). Like okay she was a little bit evil but I liked her. I really liked her ambition and her confidence. I would have loved to know more about her life at the tva, because it seemed like because of her position she knew some things that most didn't. Hunter B15 was also really good, loved her character development. Casey only appeared in the first two eps but for some reason I liked him a lot idk why. Casey my beloved. Kang was mind-blowing good, he absolutely carried the episode. He was so fun to watch and a very interesting character. This is how you do villains Marvel. And then all the Loki variants were amazing. Classic Loki was great, he was more mature and wiser than the Loki we're used to watching and I felt really sad about his whole situation (aka trying and failing to find his brother because he missed him, getting pruned and then dying). Kid loki was a BLAST, I really liked the little funky dude and I would love to know more about his life. Boastful Loki didn't appear for long but I liked him a lot, he looked like a really funny guy I wish he had had more screen time. And then there was the Lokigator which was also great. President Loki was also cool (meaning he had the coolest outfit), but we didn't see much of him. I think that's a big problem with the show, because they made it seem like it was gonna be more about the other Loki variants and their timelines (that's what it seemed to me from the trailers) but then we barely got that. Sad shit.
Now let's talk about the writing of the show in general. The writers definitely went off with the philosophical conversations, I enjoyed them greatly (Loki's and Mobius' talk in the second ep and Loki's and Sylvie's talk in the third ep were amazing). Something I didn't like at all about the show (this is probably my biggest complaint) is that the writing of the show throughout the episodes didn't seem consistent, like each episode seemed to be a different genre, and that made the whole story feel weird. What I'm trying to say is: the first episode was about Loki learning more about his life and reflecting on why he does the things he does. There was more to the episode but it was mainly that. It was a very emotional episode. The second episode looked like a cop show, they investigated a crime scene in the beginning, they did some detectiving, they had a great breakthrough and found out were the villain was hiding in the end. The third episode was an action episode. It gave me the vibes of mid season episode that isn't too relevant to the plot in which the characters go on some short mission. The fourth episode I can't exactly categorize it I think it was kinda like episode 1 but with some more action. The fifth episode was also a mix, they had a lot of reflecting on Loki's character like in the first episode and then also some action. And the last episode was mostly just exposition and a tiny bit of action at the end, very philosophical and stuff. It also felt like in the first two episodes they were indicating that the show was gonna be about free will and good and evil but that kind of disappeared for a big part of the show. I'm trying so hard to explain myself well, I hope what I say makes sense. Now my opinion on the episodes, my favourites were definitely ep 1, 3 and 5 (haha odd numbers go brrrr). The pilot was absolutely amazing, and I loved the direction the show seemed to be taking (YES MARVEL explore his trauma mmmm that's some good shit right there). It was really emotional but like in a good way. The third episode was great. I think it balanced really well the action and the dialogue, seeing Loki and Sylvie going on their shenanigans, using their powers and fighting was really fun, and then the train talk scene was absolutely amazing (bi loki yay! Gonna talk about this later). The fifth episode was great mostly because seeing all the other Loki variants and how they contrasted between each other was fantastic and I loved it. I really hope we see more of the variants in the next season. The other eps, the second and fourth were okay, the one I think was the worst one was the last one. Damn that episode. It was a very slow episode. Thank god the guy who plays Kang was really good because otherwise the episode would have been impossible to watch. There was so much exposure but it felt like we already knew most of it? They talked about how multiple timelines existing was bad because chaos and stuff, and they talked about the war in which the different timelines battled each other. Ok we already knew this. I feel like the only important thing to take from that whole talk was that Kang's variants are very powerful and dangerous and they were introducing the villain to the mcu. The whole episode felt like instead of giving closure to the characters or ending some storylines, the main thing it was doing was introducing the concept of the multiverse for the next marvel movies.
Something that surprised me a lot about the show is how important it is for the mcu storyline. Like in the first episode they talked about how the tva (and of course Kang) was much more powerful than the Infinity Stones, when basically all previous marvel movies were about them and about their power. And then Kang was revealed to have created a sacred timeline, he controls absolutely everything that happens. All of this is so important and for some reason I didn't think the show was gonna be like this. Not that I'm complaining, this is great. And I feel like a lot of people are not realising how big it is? Like I don't see much talking about how this is literally the greatest power in the universe.
Damn this is getting long sorry.
I suppose I'll have to talk about it because it has been this big thing. I'm talking about the loki x sylvie pairing. I didn't like it too much, it felt a lot like the writers went "he's a guy she's a girl so they have to fall in love", like I felt they had a very different dynamic and when they said that I was mostly surprised and confused. Because they were variants of each other their romance felt weird to me, and the fact that they made a character genderfluid and then made a woman and a man version fall in love also rubbed me the wrong way (I'll talk about the genderfluidity later). I did like the mobius x loki pairing more, but still I don't think they should have got any romance this season, I feel like there has to be a lot more progress in that relationship before any romance. I generally feel like Loki should first start getting some friends and then later on we can start with romance. But yeah this is just my opinion. And all the drama and discourse there has been over this???? Some of you guys look ridiculous not gonna lie.
Ok now let's talk about representation. I'm not poc myself so I don't feel like I'm in the position to say if something was good or bad, so I'm not gonna talk about poc rep. The show did a good job with female characters, many of the main characters were women and they were very well-written, not sexualized and cast appropriately for their age (I can't believe I'm praising this, this should be the bare minimum. Why is media in general so bad. Like please just.) About the bi rep now. I'm sure that the writers or directors of the show had to fight really hard with marvel so that they could make loki canon bi, so yeah cheers to that guys good job. Obviously it's not enough, and I really hope his bisexuality is explored more later. But yeah we finally have a queer character in the mcu this is big. Now about the genderfluid rep. OOF. I have a lot to say about this. It was bad. Really bad. I don't know if they just don't know what genderfluid means but that's what it looks like after watching the show. Not only were all of the variants cis, but they also went on to say that Loki as a woman was a weird and uncommon thing. Oh my god. And what angers me the most is the fact that Marvel used the so called genderfluid confirmation to their benefit. They exploited so much that little piece of paper that said his sex (not even gender) was fluid. I saw SO MANY articles praising marvel for making him canon genderfluid, and then it was absolutely shit. Absolutely shit. Out of everything in the show this is definitely what I hate the most.
Gotta calm down now. The soundtrack of the show was amazing, the actual songs they used were perfect and then the music they composed for the show was just *chef's kiss* (i have no idea how they're called but the song that plays during the title sequence WHAT A BANGER and the one that plays when loki and mobius are looking at the whole tva from the balcony in the first ep WHAT A BANGER). The aesthetic of the show was also great, the colours were really pretty (Lamentis bi colours my beloved) and I think it had some really cool shots. The acting was great, I'm gonna highlight Kang because I thought he was amazing. The costumes and that stuff were also really cool, I really liked seeing all the different versions of outfits they gave to the Loki variants (if anyone is interested I made another post reviewing all the variants' outfits) and Kang's funky costume was great too. The design of the places and that stuff (I have no idea how to call these lol I'm trying so hard but I don't know any of the technical words) was great: Lamentis was really beautiful, the void was also very cool and the tva was really well designed.
Ok y'all I think this is it. I'm so sorry this is much longer than I expected and if anyone actually reads all of it i love you and PLEASE tell me your thoughts (if anyone wanna chat about the show with me privately send me a message!!! I love talking with y'all). A little final note, English is not my first language, nor my second, so yeah sorry if I can't explain myself well. Bye!!!!

WANDAVISION SERIES FINALE THOUGHTS
Tumblr media
WHOEVER’S CUTTING ONIONS NEEDS TO S T O P.
hayward | i was one of the many few who really wished death on the man cause he’s just the worst. this man emptied his clip at two children. i’m glad jimmy was able to pull a fast one on this dick and that darcy hit him with the ice cream truck and very happy to see the man being taken away in cuffs.
vision vs. vision | while i would’ve enjoyed seeing them fight it out until one completely lost, it wouldn’t be vision without some philosophic conversation. it’s true vision fashion. he doesn’t fight unless it’s a last resort. he’s logical and can assess other means in which to deter a foe. truly enjoyed the scene and now i’m just curious as to where tf white vision yeeted off to after regaining the memories from hex!vision? some have speculated possibly wakanda since that is the place where he died. twice. i would love to see him possibly interact with shuri since she would’ve appeared in the memory montage that hex!vision provided him with alongside other events from infinity war.
agatha (aka not mephisto) | overall, i loved agatha as a character and i’m glad she wasn’t killed off by the end of the series. i know she was more villainous in the show but i’m glad they somewhat neutralized her even if it was by cruel punishment brought upon by wanda to keep her trapped in westview as a nosy neighbor. it keeps the door open for us to see more interactions between her and wanda. i’m also glad that she was the foe wanda had to go against. i know many (like myself) speculated mephisto would appear and be revealed but i’m happy i was wrong about that. this is the first entry into phase four and to spill out a big bad right away? probably not the best move. i know ant-man 3 is planning on introducing kang the conqueror so i wouldn’t be shocked if mephisto is used as a red herring to distract us from the actual big bad of the phase, kang the conqueror (while still keeping mephisto around obviously for future battles and possibly use him as a big bad down the road).
family is forever | i was sobbing when seeing the hex start shrinking down in the distance outside the boys’ window. i love that wanda and vision made the move to put them to bed as a way of saying goodbye so they wouldn’t have to see them disappear. i hope to see these same boys come back cause i think no matter what your theory was on them, viewers fell in love with them. if planning for young avengers, i cannot wait to see them be a part of it. given that these boys weren’t real and not actually wanda’s children, i think they’ll go the route that they’ll find each other even if not as a blood related family but reincarnations that know that wanda was their mother in one instance and see her as a mother figure (alongside their actual mothers, of course). i just love them and i really wish they stuck around but i know this won’t be the last time we see them!
wanda’s outfit | i love it and i think pays homage to her comic book costume while still fitting the aesthetic of wanda and the mcu. love the attention to detail and the pattern on her headpiece. someone on here also pointed out in a post how it resembles magneto’s suit and it makes me love it more because of that. in conclusion, this is the scarlet witch and she’s hot.
wanda and vision’s farewell | if i was sobbing at billy and tommy’s fate, i was wailing by the time these two started saying goodbye. we learn that the main reason vision was able to be created the way he was by wanda was because of the mind stone. while she is the scarlet witch, she was exposed to and enhanced by the mind stone that ended up becoming vision. like she said, it’s a part of her. he lives on in her and overall, this scene just cemented that these two are meant to be together. they are going to be that power couple in the mcu moving forward, together or apart. we know these two are meant for each other and have so much love for each other and will find their way back always. while they may change, the one thing you can bet your ass on is that they fucking love each other.
ralph bohner | the twist that no one saw coming - peter is ralph. it’s clear that he was being controlled by agatha because the moment monica took off the necklace, he woke up from her spell. a lot of people are swirling around to say that he’s probably woo’s missing person. we don’t know that and it’s something that’s left unconfirmed. while i would’ve enjoyed the reveal to be peter actually being peter from the x-men universe, i’m also happy he isn’t. yes there was a lot of fanfare and hope for this series to introduce the multiverse but in retrospect, it would’ve been too much to throw at us at the beginning of phase four. throwing in the multiverse right away would’ve taken away from the series being about wanda (separate point i’ll get to at the end). do hope to see evan peters in a future mcu project, though!
wanda’s story moving forward | i hope wanda becomes a sort of anti-hero for the future. this does set up her appearance in doctor strange 2 and i can’t wait to see what she does. while agatha said she’s destined to destroy the world and her power exceeds the sorcerer supreme’s, i hope the writers don’t make wanda into this villain that loses her logic because of extreme power. wanda has proven agatha wrong already by acknowledging the error in her ways. when she realized she was hurting the people of westview, she let them go and stopped hurting them. she learned that yes, she is hurting them without knowing so what she has to do is let them go. wanda has learned throughout her years with the avengers the consequences her powers can have on people. we know she’s never been trained by a witch and yes, that makes her dangerous with her chaos magic. the second post credit scene shows us that she’s determined to teach herself even if it’s through the darkhold. in seeing what she’s done and the power she holds, i think wanda will be this gray moral character. she holds a great deal of power, the most powerful being on the planet at the moment, and that can cloud her judgement at times. despite being an avenger, this show has really shown us that wanda is alone. while she was with the avengers, what have they really done? they kept her in check and helped her utilize her powers for good but then when civil war happened, she was detained and treated like a weapon of mass destruction. the avengers are clearly nonexistent and those that are around, haven’t bothered with her. i also hope that this new phase of marvel kinda tears down the original avengers and their actions because while intentions were good, not everything or everyone was perfect and there’s consequences. and i hope those consequences are shown through the main characters of this phase like wanda.
the complaints | while i loved this show so so much, i did have some issues. while i enjoyed that this show fleshed out more of wanda’s past, i’m sad that they didn’t confirm or at least try to make wanda jewish since they completely erased her romani roots from the comics. this goes back to my whole thing with representation which i’ve mentioned before in response to an article. while i love elizabeth olsen’s portrayal and care she has for wanda, a romani actress still should’ve been cast from the beginning. the least they could’ve done was at least make her jewish even if ever so subtly because that is the other half of wanda’s identity, even if it’s been retconned often. if they are never going to confirm her as magneto’s daughter in the mcu, at least honor that aspect of her identity if you’ve erased one major one already. representation matters and i wish they tried to do right by the character since they clearly paid close attention to other aspects of her comic book history and took a deep dive into her mental health. come at me for these thoughts but i’ll stand by them. another is just directed at the press for the show (i’m looking at you paul bettany). while fans went ham on the theories and marvel will do anything to misdirect you, i think there should’ve been a clear up from marvel about bettany’s claims of a big cameo coming in the series when it was about himself. i get you don’t want to spoil the show and the big surprises it may hold for the audience but still. i think there should’ve been someone behind the scenes or bettany’s publicist could’ve kinda told him to stop hinting at a super duper big cameo. yes, fans got carried away but i think when you’re doing press for marvel, it should be somewhat common knowledge that fans are going to analyze and try to figure out wtf is gonna happen. it’s fun theorizing, don’t get me wrong but when it’s gone the way it has for this show, i think it leaves a lot of people unsatisfied. i’ll admit i was being a clown thinking i’d see patrick stewart as professor x again since he’s an actor paul’s never worked with before and would be a huge fan service for the audience like in the mandalorian season finale. tldr; crazy fan theories comes with the territory. my final grievance actually has to do with the set up for monica’s engineer. i was also hoping we’d someone big or someone that could be big in the future, possibly it was a skrull at the end but the tone and way monica talked about it, i think it was underwhelming to see a character that we came not to care too much about.
final thoughts | overall, i loved this show and it was refreshing to see marvel embrace the magical side of their universe as it continues to expand. the cast was amazing. everyone in the cast and crew deserve awards because this really gave us a show about wanda. i think a lot of people lost that (including myself) with all the theorizing; goes back to my complaint about press for the show. it gave us a show that dealt with trauma and grief in a way we haven’t seen before in marvel’s cinematic universe. i’ll admit i didn’t care much for wanda as i did with the others but this show made me care for her a lot more and made me a bigger fan of her and vision’s story. it grounded itself in dealing with wanda’s grief and trauma in a new way while also exploring her character more. so i’m happy that we didn’t get a super big cameo or that the multiverse wasn’t confirmed because then the tone and attention would’ve shifted away from this story being about her. i hope marvel can give us shows like this that make us care about a character’s emotions and feelings rather than just how cool and badass they look in a suit. it was clear that the cast and crew made this with such love and care that had good storytelling and kept us on edge every week. i hope that marvel can show us these types of stories and ranges from characters in future movies as well.

Just Pirated Loki’s First Episode: The Reactions of a Comics Nerd and No-Fun MCU Hater
-Fair warning, I am a Loki fan, but not in the way, um. Pretty much everyone else on this website is
-Bless Tom Hiddleston for being such a fucking delight as Loki but the MCU straight- and cis-washes its Loki so much that I really am exhausted.
-That being said, the shout-out to the Kid Loki comics, also known as the best Loki comics, with the “your role is this” stuff was. . .well. Watch that space.
-Interesting characterization in the MCU! Can’t wait for them to fuck it all up when it threatens to get too interesting!
-God I checked the tags for the show/characters and I remembered why I stay out of the MCU fandom.
-”They killed people!”/”They enslaved a whole town!”/”They tried to take over the world!”/”He told my favorite to shut up!” This is comics, Susan, everyone’s a terrible person on some level. Pick your emotional support war criminal and go. Also, get a sense of humor.
-Lotta people bitching about the time travel logic and TVA logic need to read more comics. Fair warning: this shit’s par for the course. Like, a lot. Marvel’s getting very comics-y with its treatment of the TVA, MCU!Carol Danvers, and the Eternals (re: The whole “They were secretly there the whole time!” thing).
-I’ve seen a lot of yelling over Loki’s characterization/the morality of the TVA and Mobius and IMO it was. . .fine?
-Like, yes, the script wasn’t amazing, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. Honestly, it’s better than I was expecting, and the actors did their best.
-Loki seemed fairly in-line from what I remember from 2012.
-The MCU retcons itself about everything every three years, but it looks like they’re going with the theory of Loki having major autonomy during the events of The Avengers. Probably.
-My unpopular opinion on this is that while Thanos certainly did a number on Loki to push him over the edge, supplied him with the army, and gave him this particular plan--none of which is exactly small beans--some version of this was always coming from MCU!Loki, barring major intervention.
-After the first Thor, he was always going to make a play for Earth the second Thor and Odin decided humans were all right. Thanos just happened to set the timetable.
-I mean, he’s been villain material for most of his MCU run, and it’s frankly hilarious how Marvel keeps being forced to bring him back because they can’t do villains for shit and how you can tell when they have to with each shift of his arc trajectory.
-Like everyone else in this godforsaken cinematic universe, his lines suffer from being post-Joss Whedon’s directorial and writing contributions as well as Marvel Main Character-itis, which is not unique to this series.
-Mobius is surprisingly interesting compared with his comics-self.
-*Ducks and hides from the Loki fans*
-He’s clearly working towards something with Loki maybe beyond the whole stopping someone who’s clearly not just your common garden Tom Hiddleston!Loki thing
-What with the interesting mix of de-radicalization techniques and interrogation techniques that probably aren’t completely copacetic under the Geneva Convention, anyway.
-He’s not a Loki fanboy in the comics, but after having to sit through MCU!Wanda, I’m just bracing myself here for the changes. It’s not like Mobius is much of a character in the comics, anyway.
-Like, his morality is of the TVA, but his priorities in keeping Loki alive and un-reset go a bit beyond what his comics self would, probably.
-Anyway, Owen Wilson remains as charismatic as ever and is doing a great job as him, so I like him right now, but jury’s definitely still out on his trajectory.
-So, the TVA.
-Despite the whole fan theory mess with WandaVision, I’m not unconvinced the Time Keepers aren’t secretly the Time-Twisters or something. The organization is more or less like this in the comics, but the emphasis on “Sacred Timeline” is. . .hmph.
-They monitor the multiverse in the comics. They’re not trying to avert its creation, and the Time-Twisters destroy realities as their schtick.
-Also, the multi-verse is coming, so I’m assuming that there’s going to be a twist that acts as an impetus for Loki plus Mobius and friends to blow the organization wide open and cause the multiverse (Probably re-forming the organization and giving Mobius the same surprise promotion as the comics, along with an excuse to bring Gugu Mbatha-Raw back).
-*chanting intensifies* mutants mutants mutants
-They’re gonna fuck up Magneto so bad lmao
Ending Conclusions
-. . .The Big Bad of this phase is absolutely either Mephisto or Kang, right?
-I don’t see how they do Secret Invasion at this point as a feasible Big Bad without a lot of changes, Deviants were Thanos, basically, Doctor Doom can’t happen without the Fantastic Four, and anything directly tied to the mutants is out until they’re brought in.
-Think a decent dark horse candidate for the Phase 4 is also Scarlet Witch/Chthon since she’s confirmed to be reading the Darkhold--which is pretty much No. 1 on the list of Stupid Shit To Never Ever Do In Marvel Comics--upholding the fine comics tradition of Wanda being manipulated by someone evil into doing world-breaking shit.
-I can’t wait for them to straightwash Wiccan and for me to die inside, unrelated news
-It’s episode 1, so there’s a lotta ballgame left, but this is now the second show to bait the MCU Devil, which I honestly want to see if only so I can watch the world burn over it.
-Then again, they might simplify things and just make the being behind the Darkhold Mephisto instead of Chthon, which would. . .track with some things mentioned by the WandaVision showrunners about removing important scenes because stop listening to fans theorize online, dammit. It’s the Hamlet written by monkeys hypothesis played out.
-Ahem.
-Anyway. The music was nice, the actors did a great job, production value looked good, and while this episode was 95% info-dump, they made it pretty digestible.
-Also, the ‘70s-style matte painting used for one scene instead of CGI was a nice surprise and the animation was delightful.
Recommendations:
-If you’re a Loki fan convinced the MCU hasn’t done right by him since Dark World and think Taika Waititi destroyed his character, this show is probably not going to make you especially happy.
-*Checks Tumblr tags again*
-*Winces* I’m so sorry, guys.
-If you’re someone like me, who’s not the biggest MCU fan but still loves the characters and wants to see what ditch this drives into, I think the show is promising.
-If you’re an MCU casual, ditto, but without the ditch part.
-Overall: 8/10 blue-teethed French kids

I would like to thank Angela Kang if the recent spoiler is true and would like to give her ever single penny I have to my name. The new scene has me thinking back to a certain dream sequence in the new dialogue for the new scene:
C: talking about giving up on her revenge path " well I'll never have what I want "
In which Daryl replies
D: " you have me... And new Mexico is out there still "
Now I'm sure others have already had this realisation but I wanted to put my two pence forward.
I'd like to bring everyone back to the glorious time of ghost mainly the dream scene. In her dream Carol has what she wants a normal life in the normal world in a normal setting. No walkers, no wars, no death and destruction or heart ache. She is living a normal life with Daryl and her son who in her dreams is still alive. In her dream she has her son alive normality, sustainability no chaos or blood shed, domesticity. A family. In a cut edition of the EP Michonne ask Carol if it's bad dreams that keep her awake she replies " no good ones... But they hurt ". Now we are here with new spoilers and ghost dream scene both scenes are pinnacle plot point that intertwine. In her dream all Carol wants and what her dream shows us ( beside Caryl being married ) is she wants normality which she won't get hence the ' I'll never get what I want ' between the dead walking and her son still dead and her mental state at the current moment, but Daryl saying 'you still have me ' brings the whole plot point full circle. She may not have that perfect world the one in her dream with money and shops and time but she can have that normlity in the world she lives in. Angela tells stories brilliant especially between Caryl she has a reasoning for everything and she said herself " the journey we are tracking throughout the entire season is around Daryl and Carol ". The point the dream was making and the new scene as well as the mention of New Mexico so much is that Carol does have what she wants yes it's not her son being alive but it's Daryl being in her life no it's not a normal life but it is their world. We have had all these scene with such amazing dialogue and chemistry in them that we shouldn't look past. In this whole season it's been a Caryl rollercoaster with so many scene that interject with one another like the new scene and the dreams sequence that show carol want normality and Daryl in her life more. Back in S2 at the end Daryl asked Carol what she wanted from him she said ' a man of honour' Daryl has become that man he was that man back in S2 but he felt like he didn't deserve the good things he had. When Carol told him about Zeke proposal he probably still felt like he wasn't worthy enough for Carol to make her happy so he tells her to marry Zeke but Daryl is worthy and has been for a long time. Now the table have turned and Carol feel like she isn't worthy enough for Daryl hence pushing him to Connie in which in his own words ' it ain't like that... Not at all ' we are seeing the same sensorys play out but in different ways. Carol feels she is no good because of what's she's done in the present and her past is still holding her back from what she wants feeling like she has taken Daryl future away but that's not the case at all we know by the line ' we have a future '. I think that's why Daryl reply to her in the new scene of ' you still have me ' is so big because she wants him to hate her so she can push him away but like her not running again Daryl is never going to do that he isn't going to hate her he said it himself. All of Daryl dialogue especially with Carol has all been such a big step for him. Norman has always said Daryl is a character who wears his heart in his sleeve this season he's basically been bearing it's straight out to Carol with ' WE have a future ' ' I NEED you to stay ' ' IM the one you tell ME ' and others he wants her to open up to him instead of shutting him out and I think in the woods scene with Daryl and even in look at the flowers with Alpha asking ' what do you want ? ' we know what carol wants her dream showed us but I also think with all Daryl had said she truly want to be open with him but she just doesn't know how and still she fears he'll hate her if she tells him.

LOKI FINALE THOUGHTS, FEELINGS AND SCREAMING UNDER THE CUT!!!!
Okay..... I finished it maybe an hour or so ago, idk if this will be coherent but here we go.....
First of all....... SEASON. MOTHERFUCKING. TWO!!!!!!!
I was NOT expecting it to end on a cliff hangar at all so when it ended like that I was like WHAT?!?! SO SEASON TWO???? And then when they said “LOKI WILL RETURN” I FUCKING DIED!!!!
WE’RE GETTING MORE LOKI!!! I’M SO HAPPY!!!
Now I wonder how long we’re going to have to wait 😭
THE OPENING?!?! WITH THE QUOTES?!? AND THEN JUST RANDOM FUCKING QUOTES?! AND THE BEAUTIFUL, BREATHTAKING VISUALS LIKE WOW!!
The Miss Minutes Jump Scare hahah
For some reason the Citadel gave me big Kingdom Hearts vibes 😂
Okay but Hunter B-15 was so smart to bring them to Renslayer’s original timeline!!!
Speaking of Renslayer, where did she get off to...? I guess we’ll find out next season!
Tom’s acting was amazing. You can see Loki is going though so much when he tells Slyvie, aka HIMSELF “I just want you to be okay.” 😭😭
I really think they just should have ruled over time together that would have been very fun.
Loki finding Mobius... “You’re an analyst right?” and he didn’t remember him I...... WHY WOULD YOU HURT ME THIS WAY 😭😭😭
The actor who played Kang did a reallyyy good job. So chaotic! The exposition of the multiversal war was really cool.
I mean just..... wow. There’s probably way more I’m forgetting. I’ll give it another watch in a day or two but I’m just blown away.
As a final thought....
The Russos really thought they could kill Loki to make way for their big bad, and now the entire new phase of movies is being influenced by Loki.

Loki Episode 5 Thoughts
Hey fam. So how about that fifth episode? I loved it. I think it’s one of the best episodes so far. I love that each time I have thoughts on how things could go, it’s not what actually ends up happening. I didn’t expect to like Classic Loki (RIP) as much as I do, but here we are. I love that the writers threw shade at how the writers treated Loki in Infinity War. I always thought he was done dirty and I love that the show acknowledged that Loki is supposed to be an extremely powerful sorcerer and the fact that he chose to use a butter knife instead of his magic against Thanos is stupid, so Classic Loki was able to trick Thanos with his magic by faking his death. I do think it sucks that he was never able to reunite with Thor afterwards and he got pruned by the TVA. Seriously fuck them.
I love that each variant of Loki has his own personality and the fact that our Loki has moments were he’s so done with all of them. It’s hilarious that all the variants betray each other. That has to be the most Loki thing in the whole show so far 😂 Speaking of variants I’m a little disappointed President Loki wasn’t more of a threat. The vibe I was getting from the trailers and when he made his first appearance in the episode was that he was going to be pretty menacing. I thought maybe he took over that place and all the Lokis would have to team up and defeat him. Oh well. At least we now know for sure that there are variants that look exactly like our Loki which is pretty cool.
I’m so happy that Sylvie and Mobius were able to find Loki and Mobius was able to return to the TVA. I really hope he demolishes that place and can go to a timeline where he can happily ride his jet ski. The man deserves it. Now, before you ask me about ships, I really don’t care about the Loki x Mobius or Loki x Sylvie shipping. There’s a reason I didn’t share my thoughts on episode four, holy shit. You all know the absolute shit storm in the fandom that was unleashed. So I’m gonna briefly address it real quick. I may have mentioned it before, but I don’t ship Loki with Mobius or Sylvie. Neither one really makes much sense to me. I love Mobius. He’s a very kind person and I love that he seems to care a lot about Loki. But I don’t really see it as romantic. Mobius is one of the only people besides Frigga who believes and him and supports him. He gave Loki a chance to be a better person and grow. And Loki has grown a lot. I look at Mobius more as a mentor for Loki than a boyfriend. And as for Sylvie, she’s helping Loki discover more about himself and accept himself, which is very important if we want him to have a healthy relationship with anyone. I look at Sylvie more as a sister to Loki than a girlfriend. Besides even if Loki told her he loves her, she’d probably turn him down anyway because she’s already in a committed relationship with a postman. So she can be someone to help Loki learn about self love and healthy relationships. That’s just how I feel about it. I think Loki needs to work out more of his issues before he’s in a relationship with a man or a woman.
I absolutely hate that Classic Loki had to sacrifice himself though. God that made me tear up. Not just because it happened, but because he was happy. He was giving up his life to save his fellow variants and he was laughing with such joy that he found his glorious purpose after years of being lonely and missing his brother. I really have to give props to Richard E. Grant. He absolutely nailed it. I’m saying  it now. Classic Loki is the real King Loki. I wish Thor could’ve known he was alive and see what happened. What a gut punch.
I’m really excited for the finale, but also really nervous. Anything could happen. I will say, I don’t think Kang is the villain. There are plenty of possible hints that could point to him, but I don’t think it’s him. He’s supposed to be in one of the upcoming movies and I don’t think they’d reveal a big bad guy in the final episode of a six episode series. I think the villain will either be someone we weren’t expecting or maybe it’s a Loki variant. Maybe the photo we see of Loki in his Asgardian armor from the first Thor movie is another variant. It looks like he’s the ruler of some kind of place, but who knows. Honestly, I’d be totally down for our Loki going up against an evil variant of himself that looks exactly like him. I think it would so cool. Please, Marvel, give us a Loki that’s cool, but also an evil piece of shit. I want to see a menacing Loki, a Loki who succeeded.
So these are just my thoughts on episode five. I’m sad the show is coming to an end, but hopefully it’s not the end of Loki. It’s really hard for me not to associate Loki with Tom Hiddleston. He’s played Loki for so long, I have a hard time seeing anyone else portray him. Guess we’ll just have to buckle up and see, huh.

an accurate guide about red velvet
So since so many people are getting into Red Velvet recently, I decided to make a guide to help them out. You know, give yall some slack because learning five names is super hard. A guide accompanied by my half-assed jokes, interesting.
PSA: If you’re only here to stan the girls because of their recent comebacks like Peek-A-Boo and Bad Boy and are going to drop them as soon as they release tracks similar to Dumb Dumb and Ice Cream Cake, leave because we don’t want you here.
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get straight to business (TO DEFEAT THE HUNS WHY DID THEY SEND ME DAUGHTERS WHEN I ASKED FOR SONS)
Tumblr media
Basic Facts
Red Velvet is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2014.
There are five members (OT4 stans can choke).
They debuted on August 1st in 2014 with a single called “Happiness”.
Fandom name is Reveluv. Since “rêve” means “dream” in French, the meaning behind the fandom name is that us, Reveluvs, make their dreams come true and Red Velvet gives us their immense love in return, thus the “luv” part. Sometimes they also call us “Luvies”.
Official fandom colour is pastel coral and not red because l o g i c
The fact that they were formed by SM Entertainment doesn’t mean they got a free ride to the top so sit your entitled asses down, thanks.
Now, you see, they weren’t actually supposed to debut in 2014. I bet you must be confused but don’t worry, it is I, your trusty homie, that is gonna help you realize how many similarities every student has with SM lmao plus the reason for their early debut.
2014 was a rough year for our buddy Lee Soo Man. Jessica left Girl’s Generation; Sulli left f(x); Kris, Tao and Luhan left EXO... This, of course, caused a goddamn World War III amongst the fans of the respective groups. They were about to go in front of the official SM building with torches and pitchforks to demand SM to step up their game. To calm the situation down, our amigo SM must have thought: “Welp I sure fucked up. How the hell do I fix this? Wait, I have an idea! Let’s debut another girl group to cover up all the shit that has been piling up for years now!”
And your boi gone and did it. He basically debuted another group despite the number of problems he had to deal with already. This is every student ever, just make another problem to cover up the first one.
Red Velvet debuted with four members; Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy. The “Happiness” music video got 2 million views in a day and was the most viewed kpop music video for the month of August in 2014. See, the queens already breaking records.
However, the original version of “Happiness” was full of controversial topics such as 9/11 being the most prominent one. This caused such hate to the girls that everyone started calling them “flops”. Lmao Red Velvet stays unbothered as the kpop act with the most Billboard charted albums bYE.
Some of you still may be wondering what the hell happened with Yeri. Well, because their debut was rushed and due to her age, Yeri, unfortunately, couldn’t debut with them. When Red Velvet debuted, Yeri was 15 years old so basically a child.
“bUt jiSUnG fROM ncT DreAM dEBuTed wHeN hE WAs onlY FoUrteEn”
Before, there was a law which stated that kids under the age of 16 couldn’t debut.
No need to worry fellow Yeri stans! Red Velvet only released another single called “Be Natural” before Yeri was officially added. The single featured NCT’s Taeyong on it too so if you are one of those fangirls, better go and check it out because your oppar is there + it is an underrated bop.
Yeri was added to the group during Ice Cream Cake era! Of course, many people hated her, acting as if Red Velvet released so many songs and solved world hunger without Yeri. Um, bitch they had two songs take a seat.
Discography and music in general lol
IT IS GOLD!1!!!!111!!
Okay listen, every single song of theirs makes me thot-drop in the middle of the goddamn school. Jesus Christ sunbaenim is shaking.
Albums:  Ice Cream Cake, The Red, The Velvet, Russian Roulette, Rookie, The Red Summer, Perfect Velvet, The Perfect Red Velvet.
Queens of naming their albums don’t even @ me.
Listen to every single song if you want to cure your depression, clear your skin, feed your children and harvest your crops. Seriously, all of their b-sides are so amazing and such bops they are worth a listen and you, as a person who chose to stan Red Velvet, deserve to have your ears cleansed.
Another topic that I want to bring up is “the red concept” and “the velvet concept”. It is not complicated. Basically what it means is that they split their concepts into two. The red concepts are more upbeat, catchy and poppy songs such as Dumb Dumb, Rookie, Russian Roulette etc. However, the velvet concept is where they show their mature, more serious ballads. Songs that represent the velvet side are Automatic, One of These Nights, Peek-A-Boo etc.
They filmed 13 music videos so you are going to get attacked by visuals 13 times, good luck.

On a more serious note, Red Velvet is an amazing girl group that deserves so much more. I hope this at least got you to check them out. If not, your loss lol.
I could use a fuckton adjectives to describe their perfection but trust me, that ain’t enough.
Anyways, OT4 stans can fuck off, don’t comment on this post.
Just love all the girls and don’t point out their insecurities in a rude way mmkay?
This is all from me and I hope you enjoyed and that this helped you and maybe made you chuckle (maybe?)
If there is another question that you want me to answer, ask me because I would love to.
P.S. It doesn’t have to be Red Velvet related because I am trash that stans more groups than the number of bad jokes I made in this post.

another thinky post on Carol, C/E,  and writing on s9. (repeating it and it was in my drafts.)
vvv
So I was thinking about Carol’s arc in s9 or the time she was in the Kingdom. I’m reading all different POV’s from all Carol fans. It’s interesting and some it’s like fans were expecting one way but it came out the other. People have different interpretations and opinions. Anyway it’s hard to predict the show and love it 100% till the end. So I read clues and try to understand where writers are planning for the character’s future to see if I like it or not. Sometimes it’s gonna be time to not follow the story like it’s so dumb or uninteresting or it’s still good.
Anyway I’m a bit glad now that I feel like I know where and what the writers are REALLY doing with Carol in s9. Maybe I’m wrong but so far with C/E breakup and Carol in ASZ after Henry’s death, I see where it’s might be going. It’s not that surprising how it went ..kinda. Also with Zeke not having a lot of focus and stuff to really change him to be a main character in s9 and earlier, IMO. Also idc about C/E. But I understand their fans are upset about with how how the writers treated Zeke. I figured s9 may make C/E endgame or they end in s9 for plot reasons. I wasn’t sure what writers/Kang’s new changes will do. So far it seem to be C/E is for plot. (this is why i didn’t wanna watch s9, u never know what Kang/writers will do.)
Idk yet much on what’s the point of Carol in Kingdom and happily married to Zeke and then to nothing in end of S9. Partly IMO I see it’s all for plot/war/pikes. Because writers didn’t really set C/E up well in s7-8. I didn’t like how their relationship set up. It’s like writers weren’t sure what to do with them and Carol kept rolling her eyes at him ..all the time. Plus bits of Caryl scenes in there which confused to me. And then C/E canon relationship happened offscreen ( and no shippy hints in s8 finale). Like c'mon that’s a ‘for the plot’ - red flag there. Then it’s they’re so happy and fluffy but barely there in s9. Idk if it’s writers only want angst but it’s also Carol didn’t really say what’s she’s thinking in s9 if u understand, and she’s one of the mains. So for a drama show ofc bad shit will happen to the happy couple in the end of s9 and it did.
I’m not sure now if I still hate the idea of Henry dying because I had this idea that he’s the last kid and he’ll live till the end/Carl plots. But I see that this idea isn’t gonna happen. Early s9 they make Henry not the way I wanted him to he like and he just be like one of those good hearted red shirt guys instead. I don’t think he even really interacted much (s9)with Carol to feel like it’s part of Carol’s story in a big Big way. (Rick n Carl). It sucks. I was expecting the other way but .. Yeah it’s not what I was expecting and he died.
Why did Henry die? Why another kid raised by Carol died? Writers suck and repeating the same o’thing. Or, Carol is always will be with a kid in her story to show other parts of her character development. Idk. But I like the idea that someone said. Carol lost Henry and it’s to show she can come back from it and be herself. She’s strong and won’t be like she was in the past. Another is that she’s to get rage to kill Alpha which in the comics that’s a plot writers wanna write about. They had set it up already with Alpha as a abusive mother.. Those parallels/comparisons. It’s interesting how they introduce Carol and Lydia. Maybe Lydia will be the final kid Carol will raise and I like their bond or so. It’s a nod to comic-Carol. I think we will see a lot of them. I think this is a “final” good kid that Carol could look after.
Why breakup Zeke? Idk but it’s realistic and dramatic. It’s also perhaps planned. They’re falling apart was probably offscreen too in the 3? month winter time jump(again). So it’s not rushed as you think. Writers probably wanted only Carol (main character)to go on a revenge because Carol had done these big actions before. Zeke (minor character)isn’t meant to be that kind of person. Maybe writers wanted Zeke leading in Hilltop or he dies too and adds more rage and guilt for Carol. Maybe writers wanted to show something new of showing a couple breaking up. Idk but I’m starting to think this theory from someone may be true about why Carol broke up with Zeke( if it’s totally the end of the ship) is that Carol wanted to be with Zeke at first because he was not like Ed and he was nice and everything fluffy in Kingdom while raising Henry, a far difference from where she was emotionally, seasons ago. It’s like she was with Tobin but with Zeke and was genuinely into him. But it’s not really what she wanted or she realized it now after Henry died. It was an idea a dream she wanted but it’s not really herself in it. Idk so maybe she didn’t really love Zeke like she thought or to be with him without Henry. Or it is what it is she can’t be with Zeke cos he reminds her of the death of Henry and kingdom. Same for Zeke ( as he blames Carol through Daryl, I guess or he’s wanting what it used to be but he needs to face that things are different now). I still don’t know why she chose Zeke( like I don’t feel realness/shippy with them) but maybe that’s the point from the writers and how they did it. It meant to be minor-like, a chapter in Carol’s story. Caryl is stronger emotionally cos, their history, we care more about them cos they are more important/mains, and their bond is important when together in the story.
eta. I already reblogged some posts. Some thoughts is what I thought. It was fairy tale that ended and Henry was for the pikes. Some theories you guys had said seems to be true. Carol had this fairy tale when Daryl was away in the woods. Caryl both found home in ASZ/each other, now. Like yeah wow writers really did a long arc and I guess did well for Caryl, If Caryl gets stronger in s10. If not, then idk what the writers are doing. plotty stuff. I’m still like OMG WTF Caryl still being Caryl. lol
