My most popular fic, by far, is Right Hand Red. I feel guilty even mentioning it because it gets plenty of attention without me drawing more to it. I will never not be stunned by how popular and well-loved this fic is. It’s currently at 586,000 hits and sneaking up on 30,000 kudos. I never imagined this sort of response in my wildest dreams. Anyway, it posted in January of 2015, it’s eighth year (my version of an eighth book, minus the epilogue in the seventh), party games, Drarry (obv.), with exquisite art by Iwao. Here’s the summary:

Harry felt Malfoy's breath on his lips as they came together over the bottle, hands firmly planted on the floor as though they each needed their familiar soil, refusing to cross into enemy territory.

Except that Malfoy no longer felt like his enemy.

Malfoy felt inevitable.

Now, for a couple of ‘hidden gems’, though to be fair I’m still very happy with the response of the people who have read these two. They may have less hits, but the comments on them have been a complete joy to get. Both are rarepair, one femslash, and the femslash is rated M (my femslash does way better when it’s E, go figure.) But it’s a verrrrry sexy M, let me just say that!

So yes, Nice Blouse is Pansy/Ginny (Ginsy), written in February of this year (2022) and only 485 words, which I know is also not to everyone’s tastes. But boy does this little ficlet sizzle! I mean, there’s tit-sucking in public, okay? The summary:

Tequila shots in a queer bar. Things heat up fast.

(Man, I need to write some more Ginsy before the year ends, for sure.)

like the lost lyrics of a song suddenly remembered was published in 2018 and is endgame Teddy/James but contains a lot of explicit Teddy/Bill along the way. Teddy is in his 50s, a rockstar, and oh yeah he’s got some werewolf tendencies. Maybe it’s his age that puts people off this fic? (There are also flashbacks to sexy times when he was 17, so maybe it’s partly that? LOL somehow he’s both too old and too young in this fic!) Maybe it’s the rarepair “competing” with the Jeddy, though I think Teddy loves them in different ways and he certainly loves James more. It’s hard to say why it’s not more popular (there’s some really adorable background old Drarry, y’all), but again, the people that have read it have blown me away with their response, so I’m not complaining, just speculating here. Did I mention there’s knotting?? The summary:

Teddy Lupin, aging rockstar, is making a comeback after his life and career were nearly ruined by an illegal potions habit. Everyone's out to support him tonight. Including the man he's always tried so hard not to love -- as well as the man he's always turned to instead.

I have read an absolutely insane amount of Griddlehark fanfics in the past few months so I figured I could make a like...list of all of my favorites that I bookmarked. I'm not sure if anyone will use this but if anything it will be for my own self-indulgence LOL. "Oh," Coronabeth said, an expression of disgusting sympathy on her flawless face. "But then you would never have known who your soulmate was!" Harrow's glare intensified. "My soulmate is bones."

But to successfully represent her house, she needs a cavalier, and unfortunately, her only option is her least favourite barista from her least favourite coffee shop.

It's like a bad joke: two cavaliers (alive) and two necromancers (one dead) walk into a rebel faction of humanity, looking for a new life -- in every sense of the phrase. What they find is each other, and (in some cases) themselves.

This was a slightly more plausible explanation, if only because nobody wanted to look too closely at what fell under the awful skeletal-ribbed and rotting umbrella of Ninth House things. "Gotta go—!" And she was out the door, gone. But it wasn't a Ninth House thing, except inasmuch as it was happening to the only two representatives of the noble and decrepit Ninth House on this quite literally godforsaken rock. Gideon knew Harrow had gone somewhere dangerous—knew that Harrow was back in the lab where they had only just completed a horrible trial—because she could see it, clear as day: an awful overlay on her vision of that terrible dangerous room and a pair of terrible dangerous hands drawing some kind of ward next to the plinth. The hands were definitely Harrow's. This was definitely a problem.

a/n: here’s a little shorty, i’m working on a short charles fic too don’t worry but i’ve been missing writing for harry<3

Harry was always thoughtful no matter what he did, whether it was for your birthday or an anniversary, even just a normal day like today. The sun was out for once in London, it was a warmer day thankfully after a cold and miserable winter.

One thing that often came with spring was Tulips and flower markets, which leads us to right now as Harry had stopped to gather a beautiful bouquet for you. No reason other than he wanted too and because he loved you so much.

You’d always loved flowers, and had a fresh bouquet every week courtesy of your ever so loving boyfriend or if you managed to sneak some past him, which was very rare.

He took his flower picking job seriously.

“Lovie?” he called out through the flat when he got home, the smell of dinner wafting through the front hallway

“In the kitchen!”

He smiled hearing you call back, kicking his shoes off by the door he then made his way towards you. As soon as you came into view he could feel his heart swell, an apron tied around you as you worked on yet another new recipe.

“Hi baby-oh! H you got me flowers…?”

Your eyes softened as you walked toward him, wiping your hands off on the apron before taking the bouquet from him and leaning forward to kiss his lips.

“Thank you so much baby..”

“You’re welcome”

Admiring them with a smile still on your face you quickly placed them in a vase with fresh water, placing them on the centre of the island.

“Perfect!”

“Just like you..” Harry said softly, which earned him another kiss and a hug, enjoying every moment of getting to be cozied up with you.

Harry always had a way with words, but he definitely had a way with flowers too.
