no because cuddling with him must be one of the best feelings in the world. coming home to him already snuggled up on the couch.

you’d been out running a few errands and visiting a friend but he’d been gone before you even woke up that morning, having to go out for an early training session and then some media filming, so you knew he’d be tired.

he barely even notices when you enter the house, interested in whatever he is looking at on his phone, so you greet him briefly to alert him of your presence before disappearing upstairs. you jump in the shower and wash your hair, before applying your absolute favourite body lotion (which you know, though he wont admit it, is his too) and you change into a pair of pj bottoms and one of his hoodies. you towel dry your hair and comb out the tangles before hurrying back down stairs to join him.

his attention is brought to you as you enter the kitchen/living area, phone quickly being tossed asside as he watches you grab two glasses and fill them up with water before heading in his direction. you take a sip of water from one of the glasses and place them both down onto the coffee table as you go to take a seat at the end of the couch. but you’re sat for not even a second when he makes a noise of disapproval, opening the blanket up and looking at you with his best puppy dog eyes. he knows you’d never say know to him. you crawl under the blanket with him, back to his chest as he wraps you up, holding you close to him. you barely hear him as he whispers a quiet ‘comfy?’ and you turn your neck to place a kiss to his lips, you hum a ‘mhm’ to let him know that you are indeed comfortable before turning back to the tv and grabbing the remote. you switch the channel over so that it’s playing a random series you don’t have much interest in and turn down the volume, knowing neither of you will be paying much attention anyway.

masons nuzzles his head into your neck, tickling you with his beard as he leaves a soft kiss to your skin, ‘you smell good’ he acknowledges, placing a trail of kisses up to behind your ear, ‘used your favourite’ you reply before directing the conversation over to another topic, discussing your plans for the evening and what to do for dinner. after it’s been decided that you’ll be ordering a take out and enjoying a quiet night in, you lay in a peaceful silence, just enjoying each others company and closeness. 

you can tell mason is getting sleepy by the way his fingers have slowed down where they are drawing random shapes against your arm, and his breathing has become more even. you once again reach for the tv remote, this time switching the screen off completely before standing up from the couch, much to masons disapproval. before he can start complaining you hold your hands out to him and pull him off the couch, directing him upstairs and into your bedroom, knowing he’d regret it if he falls asleep on the couch. he’d woken up from couch naps multiple times before with a sore neck or back and you want to prevent that from happening again.

his eyes follow you as you remove all of the decorative blankets and cushions from on top of the bed, watching as you pull the curtains across the windows, all natural light disappearing from the room. you direct him over to the bed, where you both climb under the covers and get comfy, with your back to his chest again, just like on the couch. he tangles his legs with yours, groaning when he feels your cold feet touch his legs, but he won’t complain, knowing these moments with you are precious. you both utter quiet ‘I love you’s and you can’t help but giggle when he slides his hand under your (his) hoodie, innocently cupping one of your boobs. you want to question him but quickly stop your self, soon realising that it’s comfy and actually really comforting, so you shuffle back, getting as close to him as possible before closing your eyes and trying to get some sleep.

Ever since Mark met you, there's never a day he doesn't think you're the one for him. It scares him sometimes, not because he thinks you might leave him. You've given him assurance over and over again that you're in it for the long run, just like he is. He's scared because he feels like his love for you consumes him too much.

It's an understatement to say you say stay in his mind 24/7 because even in between consciousness and dreams, you're there. You're that one constant in his life.

"Mark, love you okay?" your voice breaking through his haze. He looks over at you with love in his eyes, you look at him with worry.

Mark's been distracted lately, lost in his own thoughts. You're just worried he's going through something and keeping it to himself. As his partner you want him to be comfortable enough with you to share his worries no matter how big or small. You trust him to share when he's ready but this doesn't lessen your worry for him.

He shoots you a smile before leaning back on the couch, shaking his head as a silent answer for you to not worry about him.

"Just thinking about something" he mumbles, you can feel his hand on your back drawing some pattern on your skin. You smile back at him, leaning over to give him a swift kiss.

That was the first time he almost asked you to marry him.

A few days passed and it's still the same. You choose to sweep it under the rug, if Mark says he's okay then you believe him.

You're home alone, it's your day off so you decided to catch up on some house chores. You do your laundry, mixed with some of Mark's own clothes since he stays with you more than he does at his own place.

The two of you haven't officially moved in together but he has his own toothbrush and towel in the bathroom, a shelf for his skincare stuff, a drawer full of his clothes, a mug he uses all the time and his favorite fork.

It's easy to embrace the domestic life with him, it's exciting to think of your future together and if this is how it feels like you really can't wait to spend forever with him. No matter how long that forever is.

"Hey I was calling for you" you shriek when you heard another voice, looking over to see your boyfriend by the doorway. You playfully threw the towel you were folding to him which Mark caught effortlessly

"Sorry, was busy thinking about that sock I can't find. You sure you didn't accidently threw it away the last time?" you jokingly asked him, he did the last load of laundry and you haven't seen the other pair of one of your sock

"I didn't! I swear, I'll buy you new ones when we go out. Do you need help here?" he asked even though he was already taking the pile you finished earlier to put it in the closet down the hall

"Am almost done anyways, what do you want for dinner?" you ask back, a few seconds passed when you hear his footsteps then a pair of arms engulf you

"Mhm how about pasta for tonight?"

"Okay, and for dessert?"

You hear a chuckle from behind you, "You"

"Mark Lee"

"Kidding babe, I kinda want the brownies you made last time if it isn't too much trouble for tonight"

You finish the last cloth before turning around to face him, throwing your arms around his shoulder and standing on your tiptoes to rub your nose against his. The action making Mark smile and his heart melt.

"Of course I can make them for you, no eating the chocolate while I make them though" you tell him. Mark smiles again before swooping down to give you a kiss, he can feel your grin against his own lips making the familiar feeling bloom in his chest.

That was the second time he almost asked you to marry him.

After some time, you've completely forgotten about your unsolved worry. The two of you decided to go out for a night walk, no destination in mind. Just walking hand in hand wherever your feet takes you. The two of you talk about anything and everything.

Stopping near a garden, you sat on the bench while Mark stands beside you still holding your hand.

"It's your birthday soon, what do you want?" you ask him

"It's your birthday too" he tells you, the thought of sharing such a special day together further proves his thoughts of you being the one for him.

"Yea but you're a day ahead of me"

"And then you came, like the universe knew I needed you in my life" he adds, feeling your cheeks flush you just roll your eyes at your boyfriend earning a few laughs from him

"What? I'm telling the truth, you don't believe me?"

"I do, you're the only one I'll always believe in in this world full of uncertainties" you tell him, "in some timezone we probably share a birthday" you add

"I like that, there's no other person I would want to share that day with"

Mark thinks of all the chances he had and all the chances he could have, but this right here right now felt like the right moment. So he pulls on your hand making you look up at him.

"Can I tell you something" he says

Mark swears he's never been more nervous than he is right now. Not because you might reject him, no. He's scared he'll mess up his words and regret all the things he'll forget to say

"Yea, what is it?"

"I'm so nervous right now, I think I'll screw this up" the words flew right out before he can stop them. Instead of being weirded out, you just giggle before standing up to standing infront of him,

"Then do it, I'll still love you either way. Just say it now so later on you can do it perfectly" you tell him,

"Yea that's the thing I can only say it now"

"Why?"

He takes a deep breath, suddenly the velvet box in his pocket got 10 times heavier.

"Mark? You know you can tell me anything, it's just me love. I'm not going anywhere"

This is the third time he thought about marrying you, and right now it's all or nothing.

"Will you marry me?" he blurts out

"Oh gosh wait, I was suppose to have this long speech about us but I'm really really nervous. I've had this ring since Christmas and I was scared you'd find it, and whenever we're together I almost always ask it but then I back out because you deserve something grander. And right now I just can't wait any longer, love. I love you, I want all of you, all of your days, all of your cries and laughs and worries all of them. I want to share my life with you, I want my tomorrow to be you. I want you to be my last first love, I want you to be my last girlfriend my last first everything. Will you marry me?"

One second.

Two seconds.

Three-

Then you leaped into him, arms hugging him close while you chant your answer over and over again.

"yes yes yes million times yes"

It's like the weight of the world was lifted off of Mark's shoulders, like everything fell into place. All at once everything make sense.

Colours in Our Skyy 2 Bad Buddy ep 1

I was nervous in the run up to the Our Skyy 2 eps, not least to see what Aof and the team were going to do with our beloved characters and their stories, but also to see if the colours I had interpreted during the series stayed consistent.

And after two out of three (four?) episodes, I think they are.

In ep 1, right off the bat Pat's Blue and Pran's Red make an appearance...but the faculty jackets lend themselves to offering consistency here (the photo makes the blue look black but they are a dark blue).

But as soon as the action shifts to the auditorium, we can see Pat and Pran's world is full of blue and red. The red curtain is a big part of this but look at the array of random blue and red objects in the room...some of which also move into a different spot later.

Pat and Pran quite rightly (and as others have already pointed out) exchange their colours in the early part of the ep. I thought it was interesting that they didn't feel like they needed to hide their...friendship...to Ajan Pichai - the senior who Ming could quite easily hear about them from - not reacting at all to him seeing Pat's arm around Pran.

More blue and red pairings are seen in Pran's shirt and the ice pack (which I pointed out in my addition to @grapejuicegay's post that Pran is 'icing' the same shoulder that he hurt in BBS ep 1 when Pat had the bruised cheek even though Pran didn't get hurt this time round), in Ink and Pa's outfits (the pic is a bit blurry but I wanted to show Pa's red handbag - I really wish I could see what was written on her top), and in the Hightem meeting room. (Note also that Pa carries a tote bag which has orange and lime green - their colours).

Pops of blue and red also inhabit Ajan Pichai's office (the plaque, book, flowers, even the pens!) but I want to draw your attention to Pichai's shirt - a dark/olive green - a colour for 'bad' things (conflict, an obstacle to Pat and Pran's happiness etc) - and we see Pichai pit them against each other rather than choose between them to end the argument, thus causing them further problems.

Later, Pichai wears a lighter shirt...which could be labelled as light blue, grey, or a light mint...but regardless, he accepts the end to the auditorium dispute and unknowingly sets up an opportunity for Pat and Pran to have some couple-time alone up north. This is also when he sees Pat with his arm around Pran, so perhaps it also shows his silent support of their...friendship.

Back to the dark green and it's also on the tent in Pat and Pran's apartment, so it's no surprise that things go wrong for Pat when he comes back and thinks Wai is Pran. (Note also the orange...but I'll talk about that in ep 2's post 😏)

But on to yellow - the colour that seems to symbolise Pat and Pran's love and happiness - and I thought it was a nice touch to have Korn pick out the broom with the yellow handle and then be thankful for Pat and Pran and tell Wai he loved him. Yellow was also in the cushions that Pat and Pran (and Wai in the morning) laid on when they had their Soft™ lovely-dovey moment, and it was heartbreaking to see Pran had changed into a yellow t-shirt to go and find Pat before their second 'honeymoon' trip only for him to hear Pat exaggeratedly badmouthing him.

And finally brown - a colour that seems to represent sacrifice, submission, or yielding - and we see it first on Korn as he tricks Pat into drinking with them. Pat then yields to peer pressure and ends up staying longer and drinking much more than he originally planned. That choice ultimately meant he sacrificed his opportunity to go to Pha Pun Dao with Pran the next day. Pat, also already having to sacrifice an open relationship with Pran because of their family situation, is somewhat forced to speak bad of Pran to hide their relationship causing a conflict between him and Pran who overhears him from outside.

The next day, Pran sets off for Pha Pun Dao alone, wearing a brown jacket (and an orange t-shirt which I will also talk about in ep 2's post). He sacrifices the companionship of Pat in order to show he can do things without him (and is ultimately glad when Pat turns up even if he doesn't show it well) but also has to sacrifice his dignity in the process when he has to walk to the village after the jeep breaks down. And if it weren't for the fact that it was another expected and delicious parallel, the olive-green of the jeep was a clear give-away that Pran was about to suffer in this.

Lastly, I'll just mention Pat and Pran's backpacks - teal and mint green respectively - the colours which seemed to symbolise Pat and Pran's union as a couple (I couldn't think of a better way to put it 🤭). They were supposed to go on this trip together, to have a second 'honeymoon' where they could be together freely...but despite being apart, they're still carrying/keeping their unity with them. Note also that Pat is shrouded in yellow (on his socks as well!) when he's trying to show his love for Pran and return them to a happier place, albeit unsuccessfully.

acts of service (selfless and caring acts that make a person's life easier) sangyeon, more than anyone, would be so happy to help you in any form, even when you do not ask for it. sangyeon, more than anyone, would be so happy to help you in any form, even when you do not ask for it. will buy delicious grocery items whenever he comes by your place, to make sure your fridge and kitchen cabinet are never empty. oh, when having most intimate moments, like showering together, he'll help you wash your hair. it's a series of tiny things that make you feel cared for and loved.

words of affirmation (express affection and appreciation through words – whether spoken, written, in texts or all of them) sangyeon does say he loves you whenever he has the chance and is always vocal about how you’re important to him, but there’s so many things that he says that SCREAM he loves you without saying the three little words. sangyeon words of affirmation sometimes come in a “please, be safe” or a “did you eat today?”. comes with a “it reminded me of you” with a pic of some simple thing from his day, but still, made him think about you. oh, and he will always support you into whatever you want to do. want to cut your hair? "it’ll look great”. wanna die it pink? “it will complement your skin tone”. wanna get a tattoo? “what a beautiful drawing you just chose”. wanna jump with a parachute? “you’re the bravest person i ever knew”. the most supportive boyfriend!!! ever!!!

gift-giving (tangible symbols of love and consideration) sangyeon takes pride in giving you meaningful gifts. gifts that show you that he pays attention, that he cares about your likings and anything you have your interests on. it doesn't need to be extravagant or expensive. so he will gift you with personal things, things that will remind you of an inside joke or some shared adventure. sangyeon always takes his time to choose the most thoughtful gift.

physical touch (expressing and receiving affection through touch, physical closeness, and other forms of physical connection - not sexual or sexual) skinship works in both ways when it comes to sangyeon. he gives love through affection and feels loved when receiving affection, then.....  he just can’t go a second without touching you. he's always with an arm around you or a hand on your waist. or maybe, it can be imperceptible like just your pinky intertwined on his. when you're alone (or between friends and family, and if you give him your consent, of course) sangyeon will pull you into his lap and kiss your forehead, temples, cheeks, whenever he has the chance to. it happens because the feeling of skin on skin gives both of you the feeling of being safe, grounded. values sex and sees it as a really intimate way to show you love and affection.

OHHHHH YEAHHHH THIS GONNA BE A LONNNNG POST.

So I have a lot of LMK ocs, like a A LOT. Some I never even introduced on this blog yet. And I know some people may even forget some of my LMK ocs. So imma draw some of the OC's introduced in the past. So let's start!-

LMK OCS:

Jingwei

Jingwei here is Aroace! She never really liked the idea of romance in her head.

Jingwei is Hui Ying and Tai's grandmother! (She found a way to make their father without doing sexual reproduction)

Jingwei is a actual person in Chinese mythology, being transformed into a goddess after dying by drowning, and Transfroms into a bird to try and fill up the sea! (This oc of Jingwei still does that, but does have breaks once and a while)

Absolute Fashion Icon. Jingwei loves fashion. She loves dresses, she loves the pretty hairstyles and crowns, she loves Absolutely anything girly.

When Jingwei died and became a goddess, she was only fifteen years old. Because of this, most Celestials never took her seriously except the workers assigned to her and Chang'e

Due to dying by drowning in the sea, Jingwei regularly cuts her hair short because with long hair, Jingwei can feel the weight holding her down, and Jingwei hates that feeling.

Jingwei was Peng's NUMBER 1 HATER since the moment she saw him. She saw his arrogance and wasn't vibing with it.

Daiyu

Daiyu is literally a shadow. Like, her body is made up of shadows, sometimes when feeling extreme emotions parts of her body turn into shadows. Most of the time it's her hair.

Daiyu was created by the Chinese God Xuanwu. Xuanwu wanted more workers and maids, so he made people out of shadows, Daiyu was one of these many people

Daiyu was actually taken away from Xuanwu at a young age, as Xuanwu noticed that Daiyu would make a great soilder, so He sent Daiyu away to properly train and become a soilder for the Celestial realm.

For most of Daiyu's life after becoming a soilder, was to protecting the Mother of the West. She graduated as she kid, and spent her teenage years protecting the mother, she never really had a proper childhood. Although she stopped being a guard for the Mother of the West when she was chosen for an important quest with Jingwei and one other.

Daiyu has a lot of battle scars. I mean A LOT of them. But she takes extreme pride in them, She'd tell stories of her battles to more younger kids.

Due to being raised as a child Solider, Daiyu never got to experience feminine things, or enjoy them. Daiyu does try to be more Feminie, but she still feels a bit uncomfortable whenever she is. Jingwei helps her with that though!

Daiyu is Macaque's mother! (Suprise!)

Tai

Doesn't like physical touch much. Despite Hui Ying trying to hug Tai sometimes, Tai usually dosent hug or touch anyone, and that extends to family. He usually leaves or makes things for people tp show his affection.

Absolutely loves animals. He protects them with his life. Especially Cats and Dogs. He loves those two animals the most. That's why he usually helps out at the local pet adoption center.

Weird enough, Tai loves classical music. He knew how to play the cello really well at one point, but due to his teachers shaming him for it, he quit. The only time Tai ever pulls out his Cello now is when Hui Ying is sad.

Tai, lucky for him, got his mother's powers, which involve light. Because of this, Tai can sometimes be a menace, turning invisible and pranking people.

Tai was rather taught not to express or show his feelings. He was basically shoved Toxic masculinity since he was a kid. Tai would have been a much bigger jerk if Hui Ying and his dad didn't encourage him to speak his mind and to be himself.

Hui Ying

Funny enough, Hui is terrified of animals. Especially dogs. No one really knows why, but she just is. Tai is trying to make her get rid of that fear however

Hui Ying like her grandmother, absolutely loves Fashion. She loves dresses styling her hair, and all the girly stuff. But also Hui Ying likes to sneak around and be rebellious once in a blue moon.

You know in Tai and Hui's design they have the sun and moon tattoos on their arms? Yeah well, they didn't get those willingly. When they both hit puberty and their powers got heightened, they got those tattoos. However, while Tai's Tattos where celebrated, Hui Ying got reprimanded for them, as the other Celestial Maidens stated that it was a sign of impurity.

Hui Ying usually would hide her tattoos, but when she arrived down to the Mortal realm with Tai to live with Yujin, she would show her tattoos as a attempt to fit in. Luckily enough, it did work.

Loves music! However, unlike her brother, Hui Ying likes Jazz more than classical!

Yujin

Yujin is biologically related to PIF, being her younger sister. Yujin did look a lot like PIF when younger and in past designs, but she grew more into her own person.

Yujin, as you all know, had a emperor as a husband. Until her husband died, leaving her to rule his empire alone. And due to them not having children, Yujin's Husband's bloodline ended.

As much as Yujin loves dresses, her royal duties require her to be outside and walking around a lot. Because of this, Yujin has more pants in her wardrobe than dresses.

You know the horns Yujin has in her design? Yeah, that's her royal crown. It was a gift from DBK, as Yujin was friends with DBK since she was a teen.

Due to committing Several Felonies as a teen, Yujin got kicked out of the Celestial realm, becoming a human. However, Yujin kept on traveling with friends until she found immortality.

before Redson had the Sahmadi Fire, Yujin was the holder of it. However due to Yujin not having a child, the power was passed onto the nest blood relative who had a child, which was PIF's family. Let's just say Yujin cried for hours when she found out.

If you're wondering why Yujin never had a child, it's because she's infertile. She's rather sensitive about the topic, because she always wanted to birth and raise a child.

Shuimu!

Shuimu has amnesia, she totally forgot who she was before Tai and Hui Ying freed her from her prison. However, her body remembers. So whenever Shuimu eats noodles, no matter how good they are, she'll throw it up.

Sometimes Shuimu is afraid to talk or that she can't due to being chained underwater by her mouth for millennia. Sometimes even Shuimu dosent know why.

Shuimu feels very uncomfortable around Wukong. Again, her mind may not remember what happened, but her body does. So of course you're gonna feel uncomfortable when the guy who chained you is by you.

Shuimu dosent really know affection, as she never experiences it. That's why whenever she gets treated with affection, she gets suspicious.

Even though Shuimu is close to Hui, she's also a pretty close friend to Tai on his own terms. Tai would usually teach Shuimu about the modern world.

Ling!

Ling, like her father, has tattoos on her arms! But instead of moon motif, it's waves. However, Ling dosent take pride in this, and regularly uses Glamour to hide them.

Ling loves diving, even at the local beach, she'll wear a normal suit, hop into the water, and not come back up until a few hours later. This is because Ling can breath underwater!

Has a personal vendetta against her magic. Ling refuses to use her magic, and relies on potions and her smarts for combat. Ling is pretty physically strong to!

A professional honor roll student. Ling always had straight A's since grade seven. This isn't because of her parents pressure. Ling strives for good grades to make herself proud, to make herself feel accomplished as to avoid the feeling of loneliness

So, onto Lackadaisy!

Carmen!

Absolutely a hopeless Romantic. You'll never find more of a hopeless romantic and a hypewoman than Carmen. She'll always support you!

No filter, unless if speaking in German counts. If something happens that Carmen called out, she won't hesitate to say: I TOLD YOU SO!

Funny enough, Carmen dosent like chocolate much! She prefers vanilla flavors over chocolates.

Carmen is a daddy's girl, she loves spending time with her dad it makes her happy. Without her dad, Carmen would probably not know how to weild a gun!

Wanted to draw Iris again, because I kind of like the little psycho.

(She’s talking about Dilash in the second pic, btw) and good to know she has the same ability of putting the fear of God into someone like her father dearest. (Referring to the episode ‘The Coin’)

Which was the main reason for drawing the first pic, and who better to be on the receiving end of it, than Prospero.

The second picture is her offering to beat Dilash in a game of volleyball, after he picked on Jake again.

Reminder of who Iris is, since it’s been forever since I last drew her:

Iris was a Sim that was a clone of Cornelius from sims 3, but was evil and completely unhinged (she did not inherit her father’s good trait) though in the sims 3, she was labelled as his daughter in the family tree.

I do have that she is still a clone, because clones are a real possibility if time travel is real in the series. (I’m talking about the episode ‘Time flies’)

Don’t expect much of any more artwork of her, she might appear again, she might not.

hii angel, im doing well thank you, how are you? I think you’re cool💓

im in no way a pro, so these are just some tips and tricks that I find helpful and some that I use

I think the main ones are:

— read a wide variety of other writers work, but from different fandoms and different ways of writing. that way you can establish what sounds and reads best. it helps you learn different formats and that way you can see what works best for you. but only take influence from them, don’t copy

— write in a way that feels natural to you. I think we all kind of have a flow when writing, and that makes it more organic. try to stick to that, and then it flows easier

— make mind maps to base your story on. write lists of keywords and phrases you like that you can implement into your work

— start small as not to overwhelm yourself. at first stick to a character (assuming you mean fanfic) you’re the most comfortable with, and note down details about them, how they act, how they talk. and it’ll make things easier and help keep the ball rolling

— my style of writing has changed loads from when I first started, so be open to the idea that at first it might not be how you 100% want it. but just keep at it, and practice in different ways and then you find that sweet spot

— there are lots of writer tip blogs on here, so have a little look on those. they can be really helpful, especially if you’re stuck/ in a block

— learn/ understand how to structure sentences and paragraphs, and it just makes everything easier. eventually it becomes second nature and you don’t even have to think about it

drawing people to your blog:

— use tags correctly. sometimes when people tag something as angst and it’s actually fluff, it peeves others off and sometimes it earns them a block. clogging them doesn’t always mean more visibility

— in the tags, use the character name, character name x reader, character name (genre: ie fluff, angst, smut) character name fanfic or fanfiction or fic, character name x you or y/n, character name series or movie title. those sorts of things. it makes it simple and clear and again, it lets readers know exactly what they’re reading

— have the title, pairing, word count, warnings clear from the beginning. it makes it easy for readers to know what exactly they are getting. have a look at other writers, but again don’t copy theirs. have images too, a pic of the character or the vibe of the story makes the whole thing more visibly appealing. I often ignore writing posts that don’t have those clear, it’s very deterring

— follow and reblog others work. it creates a community

— once you’re comfortable with who you originally write for, move onto others, maybe ones that are more popular and that way you’re more likely to get more people involved

— sounds silly, but don’t focus too much on notes and numbers, it’s important to have fun with it, and its not when it feels labouring

How to write image descriptions

Ive seen multiple people ask this question so im making this post. Disclaimer this is how i do things, some people prefer other types of image descriptions. These are guides not rules.

1. So i prefer writing shorter and a little bit vaguer id's because in my opinion, the point of image descriptions isnt to describe every single tiny detail but to get the point and vibe across.

Example: i want to describe this meme.

I could describe it like:

[ID: Two images with the title "Nihilism" with a black font on a white background. The first image is labelled "Stereotype" showing a grayscale image of a person crouching in front of a brick wall with their head in their hands. The person is skinny and white with dark hair wearing a black shirt and white pants. White text above them reads "nothing in life matters..." The second image is labelled "Reality" and it shows a skinny white person with light brown hair in a yellow and blue cap, sunglasses and a white shirt with black arrows. The background is blue and pink with a shark, a spaceship and bubbles behind the person. The person is smiling and is giving a like. Red text below them reads "Nothing in life matters!" End ID.]

.....but why would i write all of that?? Its just a meme, i dont need to write every tiny detail. i would do it like this:

[ID: meme shows nihilism stereotype vs reality.

Stereotype: sad grayscale person sits with their head in their hands and says "nothing in life matters..."

Reality: cool smiling person in sunglasses gives you a like and says "nothing in life matters!" End ID.]

Yeah sure, the first id is more accurate but the second is easier to process and remember. One thing to ask yourself is would sighted people notice what youre describing if you didnt mention it?? Its important to say that the first image is in grayscale because that adds to the depressed mood of the first image and directly contrasts the colorfulness of the second one, but no one notices how they have a black sweater and white pants.

I personally dont describe the way people (or even things) on images look in exact detail unless the way they look actually matters, such as:

if its a drawing or photo of someone,

if something about their looks is mentioned,

if something about their looks changes, like if someone is trying out outfits or if the text color changes from white to red to look more ominous.

if the person/thing has stereotypical, offensive or otherwise unusual looks, like the "gay people i respect" image where the gay person they do respect dresses "normally" and the one they dont has dyed hair and piercings, or if the person on the pic dresses in a way thats not like the norm like a drag queen, if a tree has a white bark instead of brown, if someone from texas wears a cowboy hat etc.

And even if these apply, you still dont need to write everything down in exact detail, like if its a pic of someone wearing chains on their pants you can just say "theyre wearing chains on their pants" you dont need to describe how one chain is spiky the other one has orbs on it the third has butterflies on it etc. Unless the photo is specifically zoomed in to only show the chains and the detail.

2. I also prefer writing everything at once instead of separately, like if someone is wearing a cowboy outfit i say that instead of "cowboy hat and boots and button up etc" or if its a comic with someone throwing a coin in a well i say "two panel comic of someone throwing a coin in a well" instead of "first panel shows a person standing in front of a well holding a coin, second shows them throwing it".

3. Another thing is that i refrain from using "an image of..." or "on the image is" unless its a video or a gif, or if im describing medium like "digital art of" or "meme shows..."

4. I also tend to do these one-sentence headers for series of pictures. Before i describe the individual pictures i give it a quick run down on what theyre supposed to say for a bit more context. If this nihilism meme was in a post with a series of memes about nihilism, i would say:

ID: a series of memes about nihilism.

ID1: meme shows nihilism stereotype vs reality (etc.)

5. Another thing to remember is that you are both writing this for people with bad eyesight who can read, and people who use text to speech. Sometimes the needs of these two groups are conflicting. For example, if a word is spelled with spaces between them, if you describe it with spaces its often okay to people with tts but its bad for people with bad eyesight because they wont be able to read it. Do not make image descriptions a smaller font. Do not make them a fancy font. These dont affect people with tts but people with worse eyesight wont be able to read it.

Edit: Do not censor any words in image descriptions especially not with a star (*) and especially not if its not censored on the image. It becomes incomprehensible to both people with bad eyesight and people who use tts. If the word itself is censored on the image say "(word) is censored with/as (insert how its censored)".

hehehehe anon i love talking about uniforms so this ask is a real treat… this may get long so it’s going under a cut

first of all thank u for noticing i do really try to make the uniforms as accurate as possible. i spend a long time trying to figure out what specific coat/gun/boot/helmet/whatever people are wearing and what its purpose is…. thats really just googling around and clicking on links until i find something. luckily for band of brothers/ww2 related stuff theres a lot of interest and you can often find ppl on forums from like 2003 discussing the minutiae of gear that will point you in the right direction. ww1 related stuff is a bit harder to come by but i bought a full illustrated book to help with that lol

as for straight up references- pinterest is one of my main resources!! there are lots of pics of the boys from bob if that’s what you are specifically looking for (some boards i like are here and here.) these can be hit or miss sometimes if you’re looking for ref of a very specific thing, because they don’t always capture the angle of that bag or clear shot of a belt that you need.

if that’s the case then i just… rewatch the show lol. i have it downloaded on my phone through the amazon prime app so if im drawing a scene or looking for very specific reference i will literally go frame by frame to get what i need. i cannot tell you how many times ive watched this series just looking for reference. so many. too many??? for this secret santa piece im doing i have watched the same 10 second scene so many times that i can see it when i close my eyes. the bad thing about that is you cannot take screenshots (fuck you amazon prime) and also, it’s rly easy to get sucked into the show and spend an hour just watching it bc it’s a damn good show. i think ive watched the breaking point like 20 times by now bc of this. this is insane idk if you want to do this but if you are looking for straight up accuracy then it’s not a bad option

also, and this is not specific to uniforms, if you draw something enough the pieces will start to stick in your head… this happened to me with 1917 and ww1 british kits lol. i drew them so much they just stuck. knowing what layers are under a jacket, where a belt sits and what’s attached to it, the specific shape of a helmet (fuck you stahlhelms fuck you m1s AND FUCK YOU BRODIE HELMETS) and shit like that just comes with drawing them a lot. and also watching how they fit and move on an actual person is why rewatching the show is good. researching stuff also helps but i know ppl don’t always want to spend hours doing that shit if you’re just looking for a basic reference. but i’m rly into uniforms so that is fun for me!!

i’m realizing this is a lot but…… i like uniforms! thats part of why i like military history shit. its fun to think about how all the gear interacts and moves with a person! how different each country’s uniforms are and how they carry everything they need on their backs and how they change over the years! i just think its neat!

"DANIEL FENTON OF EARTH. YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO OVERCOME GREAT FEAR... ..WELCOME TO THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS." I have to admit, this is not a pic I foresaw drawing. But this came as a request from a DA member. Actually, he had several requests that he'd wanted to see some artists help him with at the time and he asked that I tackle several of them. So this is my first effort. One of the things he said he wanted to see the was the DP symbol superimposed with a Green Lantern symbol. Hopefully, that's what I delivered here. The Green Lantern symbol I used was based off one of Green Lantern Kyle Rayner's old uniforms, once upon a time. I simply replaced the oval in the center with the DP symbol. All-in-all, I'd say it works fairly well.

The request was originally just for Danny alone.  The second pic, however, was the original image that popped into my head when I first read the request. For those of you who haven't read my Danny Phantom fanfic series, Sam has become a half ghost herself. And one of her ghost powers is the not to shoot Ghost Rays, but to instead mold her ecto-energy into various solid constructs, like Lanterns do with their rings. As you can see, she's looking pretty smug right now, seeing as how Danny needs the power of the Green Lantern ring to do what she can do naturally. But Danny chooses to take her ribbing in the goodhearted nature it's intended.

Either way, I hope you like at least one of these images.  As always, comments are always welcome. ^_^

Rules: List the first line of your last 10 fics and see if there’s a pattern!

WHOOPS sorry @onetwistedmiracle this took me a billion years (9 days) to do, the passage of time is simply not real to me. See twisted's post here and read her stuff, it's good. I will follow her lead and also pic ten fics that I wrote by myself, just to try and keep things easier lol

I'm bad at tagging people because this account is a side blog and I really only talk to twisted on it (is this an invitation to talk to me? Maybe! But please don't be offended if it takes me 9 days to reply), but if you want to examine your own writing style, consider this a lazy tag.

The last ten fics I wrote were for Critical Role and Star Wars (I miss you Check! Please, eventually I work work more on mine and twisted's collab fic and see you again)

1: You could be the one that I love, And now I'm standin' here, hopin' it gets to you

Molly had the feeling that so long as Caleb Widogast’s hand was on the small of his back, he could do anything.

Part 9 in my Molly/Caleb/Essek threesome fic, spicy but they're IN LOVE. I do love to start with a character thought/name.

2: I'm in new territory, somehow, it kinda feels like home

“What?” Padme said, her voice feeling hollow in her own chest.

A rare gen fic for me, I usually write explicit, but this was a fun prequel AU because I love to turn tragedies into opportunities. I also love to start with dialogue, just get RIGHT into things. It's also a short sentence, idk why.

3: Oh, if it's real, if it's sweet

“I’ve made a mistake,” Anakin said, and Luke sighed.

Another teen rating, can you believe I built my AO3 page on writing porn? More dialogue, I just think it's funny. And a short sentence!

4: Wherever you are, we are seeing the same stars

The day after Anakin left, Shmi almost sold C-3PO.

Surprise, it's dialogue AND a short sentence. Am I a two-trick pony? Maybe! Check out this kick flip!

5: Feeling like a face in the crowd

What Molly liked most about Essek and Caleb’s house—besides the fact that they lived in it and he, like, loved them—was just how many nooks and crannies it had.

This is the longest starting sentence thus far, maybe the longest starting sentence ever for one of my fics LOL I usually leave the run-ons for a third of the way through. And it's not dialogue! Shocker! This is also part 8 of my threesome purple wizard series, so the foundation has been laid and I could get a little weird with it?

6: All we got is us now

Ahsoka hadn’t spent a lot of time with Leia Organa.

We're back on the short train with a character driven statement. This is also part 5 of my pretty places series, so, again, there could be something to the already established aspect of it, or nothing at all!

7: Look how you made me

“Jester has questions,” Fjord said with a sigh.

Dialogue, but this time it's not from the POV character. I'm not doing a very good job analyzing things, but I am having a good time.

8: A message in a bottle is all I can do, Standin' here, hopin' it gets to you

Caleb Widoghast and Essek Thelyss lived very different lives from Mollymauk Tealeaf.

Character driven thought! Writing is hard, okay, and you gotta start somewhere. Definitive statements and dialogue are nice jumping off points.

9: I'm reaching for you

The first time Molly had sex with Caleb and Essek, he called himself an Uber right after.

This one is earlier on in the threesome series; timeline-wise it's like...the second story? 1.5 technically, since it happens mid first story? But I wrote it fifth, so. Establishment theory does or doesn't gain traction here, I don't think I know what I'm saying anymore.

10: 'Cause you could be the one that I love, I could be the one that you dream of

“What’re you thinking about?” Caleb asked, drawing his thumb across Molly’s temple, winding a purple curl between his fingers.

And we're back on our dialogue train! Dialogue starters, my beloved.

I don't know that we (I) learned anything, but it was fun to wander back through my most recent fics. Hopefully this will inspire me to write more fanfiction, but right now I am DEEP in the trenches of my own dungeons and dragons character, so. It's gonna be a minute.

Hello anon! No need to be nervous, I would absolutely love to info dump on SotP, so thank you for your ask and for reading!! This ended up being longer then I though, so I'll drop it under a read more so it's not clogging up you dash!

Levi's wardrobe is obviously more extensive then Mikasa's, so I'll start with him. Levi's go-to is a long sleeved, lace up shirt, with a sleeveless doublet and pants, very similar to the below pics:

He tends to lean more for blacks, greens and browns in his doublet, but as the prince, he has more expensive colors like purple and some lighter blues.

Levi tends to wear something simpler when he's out on hunting trips, so he ditches the doublet and wears a leather vest:

As for his weapons, Levi uses a swept hilt rapier as his main weapon, with an arming sword for added defense/offense. He has a much fancier basket hit rapier for ceremonial occasions, but due to the weight distribution, it's not idea for fighting. Rapier's are fast, slicing swords that were also considered a gentleman's weapon, and that seemed to fit Levi perfectly, while the arming sword is used for deflecting, and stabbing if your enemy gets too close to use the longer reach of the rapier. It's length is roughly between a dagger and a short sword.

Now for Mikasa! Obvi, our girl is in her armor almost all the time, and samurai armor is super iconic, but there are a few inspo pic's I pulled from. First, I wanted to go with the wide banded Do (chest armor) over the smaller tiles that was more common in earlier samurai armor. Second, I wanted to incorporate some red lacing in her armor, without making it crazy, so I opted to only have a single row of red lacing on the very bottom of her Sode (shoulder armor). So the general build is this:

But in this color scheme (ignore the gold lacing in the first pic):

The above picture on the left is the closest approximation, including the Kabuto (helmet). Speaking of which, I wanted to make sure her Maedate (the crest on the helmet) was something simple that wouldn't hinder her on the battlefield, as upper rank samurai and shogun maedate can get crazy big, so I opted for a simple and kinda generic crest similar to the one below, but without the large upward part in the middle:

Under her armor, she wears the traditional hakama, which are the wide legged, lose pants and hakamashita, which is a short kimono:

The process of putting on the armor is a whole thing, so I'll link a video, but basically, you start at the bottom and work your way up. Usually, samurai would have attendants to help them put everything on, but our girl is a super star, so she does it herself (also she's all alone). In the video, they already have the pants tied back for the Suneate (shin guards) and they're starting on the kote (armored sleeves)

And last but certainly not least, her swords! I think everyone on the face of the planet knows what a katana looks like, so it's easy to just show what her hilts look like:

Black and red, very on brand. On all katana, the tsuba (guard) is actually interchangeable and holds a great significance to the samurai, and Mikasa's tsuba is no different. That's about as far as I can get into it without crossing into spoiler territory, BUT I hope this helped paint a better picture of what they look like running around!

Animation Brief 01 - Week 1 - Mini Me

The next step in our "Word Building" project was to design and create a "mini-me", essentially a kind of avatar of ourselves which will then be used as a basis for learning about lip-syncing in animation. I knew two things immediately: 1. I shouldn't make the it out of clay because it's a time-conscious medium and thus problematic for such a short project. And 2. I was definitely gonna make it out of clay anyway.

But first I had to decide how I wanted to represent myself in miniature and as you can undoubtedly see from the above image, it got weird. The important thing to understand here is that I hate self-portraits, and over the course of the last two projects I'd somehow already made 12! One clay sculpture, two 3D prints, nine ceramic casts, (and a partridge in a pear tree, etc.)

So needless to say I wanted to do something different. I guess I'd say I wanted to represent my reluctance to make a self-portrait, something that would represent me in a more abstract, less literal way. Plus I wanted something that would seem at home with the Tove Jansson inspired background art I was making for the project. The next step was gathering reference.

I actually hadn't put too much thought into the mini-me 'til I showed up on Thursday morning. I'm showing this whole moodboard of visual reference now but while sketching out this idea all that information remained locked in my head.

The second pic of Gorillaz drummer Russel Hobbs, wearing a rain-poncho with a witch-like hood is forever burned into my head for some reason, I just love designs like that. Thus that pic was my mental jumping off point. I also just like Russel's character in general and his particular trait of hiding his face.

It was after sketching it out and trying to figure out how a hood like that might work in 3D that I turned my attention toward Raven from the 2003 Teen Titans series, another character I'm fond of for similar reasons. Glen Murakami's character sheets include a full turnaround and the show itself has plenty of reference for the hood at odd angles. I also love the way her face is cast in constant shadow.

The last bit of reference is the Tove Jansson inspiration. I love how she drew Snufkin as such a disheveled little weirdo. I guess at this stage it's obvious I relate to introverted characters. What I took in particular from Snufkin was Jansson's ability to capture so much character and personality using simple shape design. You really get the sense there is a soul behind those eyes.

Yeah... I really didn't experiment much with the design at all. If I'm being generous I could say I knew what I wanted, but really I just knew I was on a timer. You can see a couple of alternate ideas I had in the third sketch, but the whole witches hood plus obscured face combo was important to me.

Actually I started to get a little worried around this point. First that an all black face might look like, well, blackface. And second, that if left white, the pointed hood might have a KKK connotation. Sometimes with art, intention matters less than reception. A lot of online racists hide behind the idea of "plausible deniability", with work that acts as a dog whistle for those with similar ugly beliefs. I really don't want anyone to think there's a bigoted undertone to anything I make.

Thankfully that problems lies mostly in how I choose to colour the piece, so I can cross that bridge when I come to it. Honestly had it crossed my mind earlier I might have gone back to the drawing board entirely, but we're here now and I can only make the best of what I have.

I don't know, even having written all that, I'm still conflicted over it.

I was basically just stalling on the design part, I knew the gist of what wanted but I didn't have particularly good plans on turning that design in a clay sculpture. I actually started to contemplate just going home that Thursday to put a model sheet together and then come in again Friday.

Obviously this was a bad idea for a lot of reasons and eventually Gemma convinced me to leave aside the planning and just start working with clay. Probably the best advice I could've gotten.

I rolled out a couple of slabs and after leaving them to firm up a bit, I used a template to roll one into a cylinder. This would serve as my base. Gemma helped me out a bit here too, suggesting how I create the shoulders by attaching a slab as support and draping another over it. After that it was mostly just scoring and slipping, creating the silhouette bit by bit with slabs. I wanted to have it mostly done as I knew it'd need to be fired on Friday. And on Friday the kiln is loaded at 12:30.

Anyway, I got it done as much as I could before leaving it down to be fired. I would probably have spent more time on it had I not been under pressure, but being honest I'm the kind of artist who spends 90% of their time trying to make things 1% better. I doubt it'd have made much of a difference.

What probably would've made a difference was having more of a plan before I started. It was really one of those things you have to do poorly once to learn how to do right, if that makes sense. There's certain changes that occurred en-route I'm happy with, like the kid of abstract, geometric look to the whole thing. But other changes I feel could be improved upon include the overall size and shape of the hood and especially the length of the head in general. The hood is tall and top heavy when it really should be the opposite.

Overall though I'm happy with how it turned out ... as long as it doesn't explode in the kiln.

Now I feel the need to talk about what’s going to happen next. Me, because there aren’t a lot of artists actively interested in the "Davros audio-s" and at least half of my blog relies on said prequels.

First of all, I’m not sure if there’s a point in writing a letter to the bosses of DW, but I’m considering it. Maybe a petition could also change something, but I have no experiences organising those. If you are concerned about what’s happened to the iconic villain of Doctor Who your suggestions are more than welcomed! If you know or follow any other people who are actively concerned about this please let me know pls help

Second, I want to focus on how we can deal with the changes emotionally and what’s going to happen to the blog. The best way to keep the character alive is for their fans to stick together. So I’m going to be active online and I encourage you to do the same and be chatty. It will at least be fun if we’re in this together. One of the few good things about this situation is that our fandom has the rule saying we can that choose our own canon and after "the timeless child" people have already started applying it not only to the audio dramas and books but also to the filmed series. And I suggest we just do the same for the Davros retcon. Additionally fiction is not a real life, so some self-induced neglect of reality or self-deceiving won’t harm anyone nor anything. We can convince ourselves those changes have never occurred. Davros doesn’t appear in the show that often but when the new "Davros" does we can use our imagination (and a bit of my drawing skills🌚👌) to perceive him like he is the Davros we know. Because, you know, our minds are only ours to operate. And I’ll continue posting pics of characters we love as usual.

Next I’d like to recommend an additional coping strategy, which is fanfiction. Note: I’m not a native speaker of English language, so I can’t review on the use of language in fanfiction. And I know very well how poor use of words and grammar ruins the experience. So if English is your first language - take my advice with caution)) I present you the one and only fanfiction at least of those I found dedicated to the kaled nation: Damnatio Memoriae series by Mary Pseud + some other works of the same author.

This series was written after the "Davros" audio drama have been released but before the "I, Davros" was. The Author has strange attitude to sex, but if you’re able to choose for yourself you can find nice stories that have nothing to do with it (also sex scenes I’ve read were good). The Author has some interesting ideas and from the very beginning you feel like they’re onto something. It’s also pretty obvious how much Author respects the original universe and how they cherish each character they get to work with. And they have some great non-au fanfiction!

I used to be too insecure to recommend it to you, but now, no matter how strange and cringy stories of the series may seem from time to time, they feel much more home-like than the "original universe”. And Davros’ trauma is treated there with much more respect than it is by official writers, even tho Davros eventually "gets his legs back". Also I’m planning to do fan-illustrations for some of those fanfics, so you might want to know what’s going on there)

I advise you to give it a try because it’s an au fanfiction, and thanks to some of its stories, viewing the mini episode through the lense of this au can be useful for easing the emotional damage!

Happy Easter aka Happy Day of Our Lord and Savior's Resurrection! 🙏🏻🙇🏻‍♀️💗💜💙🤍

I am a bit sick again, but got up in time for church, albeit a little late. I wasn't able to dress up very nice, but I tried. Hard to do laundry with a lack of quarters and such. I am glad I went, though. My first time at church on Easter, I went with Rob @timewillcrawl94. ☺💗💜💙🤍

Yesterday, Micky @octobernocturne got me a nabi sticker 🐈 a cup with a straw 🥤 and a lil red velvet cake 🎂 on a lollipop stick 🍭 from the punk rock flea market. It was yummy! 😋 and today he surprised me and Robi with lil Easter bags, with Cheetos, and Reese's! Yum yum! 😋 im happy cos for some reason I wanted Easter baskets this year. I am a kiddult at heart, heehee. 🐇🐥🧺

Today also happens to be my oldest imaginary son's life-day, he is 5 now. 🥳🎂🍰🧁🍫🍭🎎🎈🎉

I have pics from Animal Crossing of his younger sister's bday on March 20th, the first day of Spring, I meant to upload, but I've been so worn out, I'm behind posts I've been meaning to share with my friends and followers. ^^;

His other sister's bday is later this month, she's his triplet, and the third triplet's bday is in June, another boy too. They weren't born on the same day, but still all in 2018. 🥰 I dunno why, that's just how it happened in my imaginary world and dreams, hehe. ☺💗💜💙🤍

I dunno if I'll ever be a Mumsy in RL, but I'm happy playing pretend with my subconscious. I needa draw my kids, and play with them in The Sims and such too! I wanna add them to our main webcomic series, which is kinda based on me and my brothers, and we've been writing it since about 1998, I guess if prototypes count. ^^;

Karasu is in it too, of course. He's my imaginary SO, and father of our Little Crow Goblins. ♥

I'm tired, so gonna log off. Micky got us a nice dinner for Easter, some stuffing with turkey burger, potatoes, and added mac n cheese at my second youngest lil girl's request (her bday is next month on Android Day, May 12th with her twin brother; after their older brother's bday on the 7th) - i view my kids as parts of my inner child, so I guess I was hoping for mac n cheese too! 😋 🍽🥗🥣🍴🍲
