The person who looks exactly like you, named Creator, has an offer for you.

Prologue, 2

the Realm of Inbetween

You stared at your look-alike with dumbfounded eyes. They stared at you with such awe… such admiration… and said ‘My Original’… just what did that mean…

This mysterious look-alike stared at you for a couple of seconds and came to a realization. They immediately pulled away and took a step back.

“Apologies,” they let out a short laugh, “it’s been a while since I interacted physically with someone so you’ll have to excuse me, I nearly forgot that context isn’t something you have as of now.”

“Wow way to rub salt in the wound,” you scoffed with a playful roll of your eyes. You were taking this in a surprisingly calm stride so far, so might as well keep the shovel digging.

“Apologies, Original,” and there it was again, that name…, “so first off I should introduce who I am…”

You waited expectantly as this person collected their thoughts.

“To put it simply, I’m you!”

“Eh?” You didn’t expect that answer?!

“A version of you at least…” They continued, “I am a ‘you’ in which I am a god, one of a familiar game you play… you know…the one with elements…?”

Your eyes widened, catching onto your other you’s hint. It was easy to catch on, of course, you literally didn’t play any other game. “Wait, wait, wait… so you’re like a… Genshin Impact me…?”

They nodded.

“The multiverse is a vast place. For every choice one makes, another universe is created, and when you decided those years back to download Genshin Impact for the first time…”

“…I became a creator of your universe.” you finished for them with a thoughtful look on your face.

“I’m very happy you caught on quickly,” they took your hands again and patted them, “in that universe, I am the Creator but given that you created me, I see you as the Original Creator. Hence the nickname.”

Ah, so that explains it… An ‘Original’ Creator to the actual Creator, it’s kinda smart actually! So that means you’re in some kind of SAGAU right? But…

“You said ‘that universe’ as in your world isn’t where we are right now,” you softly took yourself away from Creator’s grip to slowly spin around taking in your current setting, “so where exactly are we right now?”

“Well after a particular war that left more than a bad taste in my mouth,” Creator huffed with irritation at their memory of the event, “I used the last of my creation power that was left to create this place to get away from the chaos. I call it the ‘Realm of Inbetween’ because as I soon discovered, this place is an ‘inbetween’ of all the universes that surrounded you, the Original.”

Your face became an expression of curiosity and interest, “really?”

Creator nodded, sensing your excitement, and motioned you over to them closer as they sat on the floor. You followed and did the same.

Both of you looked into the rippling surface of the realm’s platform, the watery reflections gazed back with the starry and dark purple film. Creator’s reflection smiled back to themselves, while yours reflected your own confusion of what exactly Creator was doing.

Creator reached their hand out into both of yours reflections and the surface started rippling until the reflection started to change and shift, showing Chinese-esque buildings with different people walking around, some holding and making lanterns. Beautiful music drifted in the air filling and adding to the wonderful scenery.

The sounds, the sights… you recognized it all…!

“Lantern Rite?” You were amazed, Lantern Rite was already beautiful in the game (if you had enough space at least) but to see it in such a realistic-looking and detailed experience…!

Creator hummed, “From here I watch the events of Teyvat, in real-time or past—the Lantern Rite here happened quite some time ago—along with that, it’s not just Teyvat I can watch, I’ve been watching your universe as well.”

Creator tapped on the surface again, and the image started to ripple and change again.

When the water stilled, the image of you (obviously from the past, given that you’re technically dead right now) from your life showed up. As you looked at the surface, you felt a frown form on your face.

Amidst the shock from suddenly being ‘alive’ after death and the news of this alternative you…

You almost forgot how much your life… sucked.

Based upon your own recollection of your old life, this was just a few moments before your death. God, you could feel this awful dreadful feeling creeping in but it wasn’t because of your death.

It was what happened prior.

You could recall the memory very clearly since it was the earliest event before your death. They weren’t very good memories.

Watching the water start to show the old you about to enter the old university you were at, your face scrunched up as your hand swiped at the water's surface. The memory immediately left, the surface going back to its starry reflection.

Creator looked at your disgruntled expression. Given that they had been watching you for years, they had come to understand your feelings albeit after a few years of observing you and your past. One and the same you both may be but Creator took quite a while to understand you before now.

Same personalities, different experiences…

Creator suddenly lifted themselves off the watery platform into a crisscross sitting position

“I always thought of us both as very interesting enigmas.” Creator pulled a strand of hair behind their ears as you started to lift yourself into the same position your other self was. Creator smiled as you did so. Good, you were distracted from the previous development just now.

“In the many what-if’s and the infinite universes I’ve seen in this Realm, we seem to be the most similar yet so different.” Creator stared at their hands as well as yours, “I’m just one of the many multiverses of ‘you’s in this universe, yet I can’t help but feel connected to you on a stronger scale than others. Your actions are very similar to that my own; our traits and personality seem almost exact. However, our individual experiences that have molded us are completely different from each other. Our existence interests me greatly; we’ve lived completely different lives yet we’ve become the same exact person.”

“Is that why you brought me here?” You had uttered those words before you could even think about them, “you saw I was gonna die and you wanted to preserve my existence just in case you disappeared if I did?”

Creator rested their chin on one of their hands and hummed, “well… not exactly… there are many other worlds that connect like ours however the original’s death doesn’t seem to affect the other…”

Creator closed their eyes with a pause to think about their next words. You waited for their continued response, wondering what they were gonna say.

“Because of how close we are to each other,” Creator started, “we share many sentiments with each other. Our likes, our dislikes, preferences… our thoughts.”

Gauging your reaction, in which your shoulders suddenly stiffened, Creator had guessed that you had started to pick on what they wanted to say.

“When I looked into your world, I could hear my thoughts and your thoughts overlap into one…”

And in a strange course of action, both of you uttered the next words in unison.

“Why is my life like this? Why can’t I live in a better way? Why was I born into such a horrible life?”

Although your voice was much more sorrowful while Creator’s relayed the words like a textbook, it was very obvious you were both familiar with these sets of words. You were the one who constantly thought about it every day after all before your death.

You looked down amidst this thought. Your life really wasn’t the greatest. If anything, when that truck hit you, you were elated to realize your suffering was at its end. Just even thinking about your old life, unrelated to Genshin Impact, made your entire body churn with contempt and spite.

These thoughts unknowingly welded a grimace on your face, which you didn’t notice in entirety at first until Creator had patted your head.

As you shifted your head to look at Creator, they smiled. “Such thoughts had brought us to this situation!”

“Obviously your world didn’t treat you the greatest…even your end was about as minuscule as a hilichurl’s death. I’m gonna be honest, your life truly is pitiful” Creator’s face showed a look of awe and amazement at the mere thought of your original life, “really, I’m surprised you didn’t kill yourself yet! It’s just truly, pathetically-”

“Get to the point already.”

You glared at your other version with annoyance in your eyes. Creator paused and awkwardly smiled, seeming to have realized at that moment how offending their words were. “Haha… anyways…”–They didn’t seem entirely apologetic about it though– “what I’m trying to say is that I want to give you another chance.”

Your eyes widened with a sharp intake of breath. You… didn’t really think this was gonna be their leadup…

“I want to strike a deal with you, Original,” they explained, “Your consciousness and body no longer exist in your world, however, mine still does. Given how close we are, we have the ability to merge our timelines, or rather, merge ourselves into one person within my world.

Your world was utterly miserable to you was it not? But in my world, I am quite literally a god that is worshiped by even the other gods of that world themselves.

So why don’t you become one with me?

Let us become one and the same even further, in a world where you will leave your boorish and pathetic life behind and enter a world where you will be adored and loved every day.

Knowing my life, it will be no easy road but no doubt, if you accept this, you will get the exciting and adoring life that you had always prayed for in the past.”

As they finished their speech, they held out a hand to you, similar to how one would shake hands to accept a contract after signing. You stare at it as you begin to process their words.

A life in which you would always be adored… a life where it would be infinitely better than your past.

A life where you can finally feel and be more than what you were born into.

A life that was literally a world that you loved dearly with all your heart.

You had lived pathetically.

You had died pathetically.

…

You’ve made up your mind.

You take a deep breath in and then out and immediately reached out to Creator’s hands.

“Well given that you took me out of my original body just before my body died,” you smiled widely with glee and took Creator’s hands with a firm grip, “looks like I wouldn’t have a choice other than ‘yes’, right?”

Creator looked at you with surprise for a moment and then broke down into a mischievous look. The very same one you had on, in fact.

“Obvious, was it?” they laughed, “although, it wasn’t like you were gonna say no, right?”

“We’ve only just met and you already know me so well!” You responded playfully.

“Well of course I do, dearest Original…”

With your hand in theirs, Creator took their other hand to wrap around yours and shook it once.

“I am you after all.”

hello!! it's been a while since you've updated the fic collection, and i can't say i haven't missed your fics, but i hope you're doing well!

did you enjoy the lantern rite quest? (spoilers in case you havent played it...) i was so mad that neuvillette and zhongli didn't actually interact on screen... give us the neuvili crumbs hyv i beg!!!! at least they somewhat made up for it by giving me what im personally considering a neuvichili metaphor: "at first, soil from the ground is granular and unforgiving, but add the right amount of water, and it becomes soft, moldable, and able to take shape." tell me that isn't literally them!!!

Hi! Sorry to only answer you now, things have been a bit hectic for me irl lately due to unexpected changes. But I'm doing fine, and I hope you're doing great too!

Yeah I enjoyed it (I really like Gaming, though sadly I only managed to grab one copy of him through wishing) , but I was a little disappointed too that we didn't get to see them together. And my thoughts about that line was exactly the same, I swear I was screaming in front of my screen when Neuvi said it! And in my heart I'll keep pretending Neuvillette actually went to Liyue to spend time with Zhongli and Childe for lantern rite.

About the Genshin Impact Drama

So, I didn't think to make something on this, but I feel like writing, so here we are.

I think that the outrage from Genshin fans over the Lantern Rite has been a long time coming. Ever since about a year ago, when I've kinda reached endgame status and left my honeymoon phase with the game (and man, what a honeymoon it was), I've been noticing a simmer within the Genshin fandom about the dev teams choices regarding rewards, kits, events, etc. So, now with even the CN players voicing their complaints, I think that it's justified that we have this mass eruption of tension and anger that people have just been sucking up and coping with.

For my personal opinions, I still think that Genshin is a very good game, and I don't know if I'm ready to just stop playing it, even if I feel like I've hit kinda a plateau with my account, I still have fun. However, I totally 100% agree that the rewards suck and Genshin needs to listen to their player base and give us better rewards. There is only two times a year that Genshin needs to be this generous: Their anniversary, and Lantern Rite. An extra three pulls is ridiculous, and I really hope that they step up their game.

Now with the Star Rail-Genshin beef. I do not like it at all. I'm also a Star Rail player, and have been a bit burnt out, but now with Dr. Ratio, my fav, being release, and Penacony on the way, I feel a lot more better about the game. Honestly, I feel like the squabbles are just childish, toxic, and unneeded. Honestly, at this point, I don't care who started it, who've said it first because we're not children? It's one thing to compare a specific aspect of the game and say "they do this better, they should implement this in the other game." It's another to just be like "Honshit Starbucks is a trash game" (You know someone actually called HSR Honkshit Starbucks, which, as insulting as it is, is kinda funny because how do you even come up with that?). And this goes for whatever bee between Honkai Impact 3rd Players and Genshin Impact Players. It's childish, and I feel like we can coexists peacefully, if given the chance

(That's why I'm doing my Hoyowomen tournament, to foster that sense of peace and community. I'll admit that I haven't been the best at it in the past, but I feel like this is a good step forward)

Anyways, while Genshin sorts out it's anniversary rewards, I feel like the hate between the communities should cease while we sort our shit out. However, I do think it's far to point out Star Rail's generosity compared to Genshin, because that's another reason why I think that these rewards are ridiculous. I'm not the first one whose said this, but now that Genshin has another game to get compared to, it needs to step up it's game in order to make sure such resentments and anger don't happen.

And for the content creator beef, I barely have any grasp on that, so I'm not gonna comment. The only thing I will say is that if the Genshin community wants to see any changes, they have to act as a united force. Falling into chaos will not do us any good.

(ALso, just to clarify, when I say Genshin-Star Rail beef, or Genshin-Honkai beef, I don't mean to characterize the entire community, but rather those parts of the community that are very vocal and pounce on other communities and games as a way to cope or something, idk. I feel like the majority of each community, if not swayed by the vocal and militant group, doesn't really care about the others game to that much of an extent.)

(Also, please don't reply or reblog saying "they started it" "those guys did this" and stuff like that. As I said before, I think it's childish, and we're all in the wrong for perpetuating the circumstances. We need to stop focusing on who's wrong and focus more on building better relationships. I'm just stating that again because I feel like people are gonna say stuff like that.)

The Waterborne Poetry event has answered a question, and also sprung up a new question.... Actually, two questions, in my most humble opinion...

Anyway, before I move on, do note that there may be 🚨SPOILERS🚨 for those of you who have, for some reason, not done the event during this period... and also for those of you who may have missed it... best if you go watch the gameplay for this event to know what's going on first...

As we all know, the Waterborne Poetry was a follow-up from the Lantern Rite 2023 event where Venti and Hu Tao planned to have a poetry event together. So, here you go, the Waterborne Poetry was born.

But, the story doesn't actually only follow up from there, it also follow up from the Endora event back in... 2021, I think? Players who played the event were granted a little Endora Oceanid as their pet.

Just a quick recap, the little Oceanid Endora... actually, I forgot how the Traveler found her... but what I do remember was, like Callirhoe, Endora grew very weak while traveling, and had to latch herself onto some moveable water source... think if memory serves me right, it was a hydro slime.

In order to help little Endora, the Traveler travelled between Mondstadt and Liyue to capture some rogue Oceanid and letting Endora absorb them. By doing so, Endora would be able to regain her strength and her speech should improve a lot.

Part of the event was us finding out that another Oceanid was actually living in the waters of Springvale. At that time, players weren't really sure what to make of the Oceanid existing in Springvale since there was no appearance of this particular Oceanid. Eventually, I think many forgot about it.

Fast forward to the Waterborne event, it was only in this event that it jogged our memory that there was indeed an Oceanid living in Springvale. And that was none other than Callirhoe.

Apart from her main romance with Finch, she did make some friends while living in the waters of Springvale. One of them was our beloved feline, Diona.

Because she was touched by their friendship, Callirhoe gave Diona a special ability, that is, to make any drink into a delicious drink no matter what she puts inside.

So... that kinda answers our question about her mixing ability. It's not because she is Mondstadt's version of Xiangling, but because she was blessed by Callirhoe.

But now, that also gives rise to another question which was also addressed by the character himself.

Is Chongyun's pure yang energy a blessing from someone else as well?

I believe we will get a story that is Chongyun-focused to answer that question... if Hoyoverse remembers...

That was the first question. The second question is whether or not Xiao is truly having romantic feelings for the Traveler.

I have covered this in my other post of the list of characters having possible romantic feelings for the Traveler. Not going to details again, there seem to be a hint that Xiao does have some romantic feelings to the Traveler.

It was speculation at first, but a little note on the noticeboard at Wangshu Inn has caused this question to be raised.

Anyway, I hope Hoyoverse will give us the proper closure to all of the romance blossoming in the air... I mean, first, they confirmed that the Lumine X Childe ship is cannon, then they dropped a Lyney having a crush on the Traveler, and now this...

Regardless of who has romantic feelings for the Traveler, I think many players are wanting to see if the Traveler will reciprocate one of them. Who knows? May be we will have an all out war of the various ships involving the Traveler.

oh i LOVED reading about how alectra would fit into the genshin plotline... if she were an NPC id be visiting her during every major plot beat to see what shes up to. she sounds like a very fun easter egg, kinda like those fatui guys who hang out near the mondstadt city waypoint

aaah thank you so much!!!! yeah I got way too attached to the concept of her foreshadowing stuff going wrong, ‘cause like - the first time you see her is during Ending Note, and you can only see her right at the start of that specific quest; she’s waiting outside the cathedral, looking up at the Barbatos statue, and she won’t give any dialogue when spoken to by the Traveller (or, if she did, it’d be something short, like.. “Isn’t there somewhere else you’re supposed to be going at the moment?”). However, her being there means she’s then right there to be in the cutscene where Signora first appears and then gets Venti’s Gnosis, so if you noticed her waiting outside beforehand, that’d clue you into who she was without actually telling you much of anything about her. But she only appears in a very short interval, so she’d be easy to miss.

The next time she could be spotted would be during the part of the Liyue archon quests where you’re going around buying things with Tartaglia’s money, and the idea is that she’s sitting high up on the rooftops, so that if you wanted to go to try and talk to her it’d be a massive hassle (and she’s not very easy to spot). If you actually went out of your way to do it though, she’d maybe say something like.. “Ah, so you actually managed to make it up here? I must say, you’ve quite the keen eye to have sighted me. Even so.. you’re still setting the stage at the moment. So, please, carry on as you were. I wonder how ready you think you should be for the show.” This is foreshadowing the upcoming (though not as immediately upcoming) boss fight with Tartaglia himself - he’s her brother, or as close as she has to one anyway, so it’s no wonder she’s keeping an eye on what he’s up to.

I don’t quite know if there’s an opportunity for her to show up again in the game itself here, but one thing that I do know happens is that she has a bit of a confrontation with Tartaglia some time after the boss fight, because she didn’t realise he wasn’t in on the same things that she was regarding everyone’s plans. She then also runs into Zhongli again after the cutscene where he gives up his Gnosis to Signora, and she manages to get a lot of comfort - and a hug - that she needed from that interaction (since.. well, I associate Zhongli quite strongly with my grandad. for some reason. so I wanted to have him and Alectra (and Lamia because she visits Liyue with Yoimiya during Lantern Rite) be close, even if it makes little to no sense, because of that.)

When it then comes to Inazuma, Alectra has the first act of her story quest - “Luscinia Cineris Chapter - Act I: To Be Fooled By A Familiar Face” - slotted in to try and space out the pacing of that nation’s archon quests somewhat. Her story quest revolves around the Traveller being mistaken for Alectra by some guards, and subsequently having to clear their name by figuring out what was really going on (since all they saw was someone “fairly short, wielding a sword, with blonde hair” wearing either “dark clothes” if playing as Aether or “a sleeveless dress” if playing as Lumine). In the process they would probably find out more about Alectra by overhearing some Fatui working for her or something. The section of this quest where you get to play as Alectra comes right at the end, when everyone goes “okay so we’ve established it definitely wasn’t the Traveller who’s been causing the problem. But then.. who was it?” and then you switch to Alectra successfully breaking into some official building or other, taking care of all the guards there, and stealing some important documents. Something, something, be gay do crime? =P

Soo I’ve not posted much OC character stuff of recent as I’m still writing the second chapter of The Lord of Wet and Pyro Princess Adventures (Genshin Ayato x Diluc fanfic I’m having a lot of fun with as I’m back in ~Genshin playing mode~ since I invested a bunch in the game and it’s also the Lantern Rite time of year again, a favourite of mine).

I’ve had a request to finish my WattPad Kaze fanfic too, which I’ll try and deliver but I got kinda stick in the basement scene lmfao as writing Zero as a top is so odd for me even though I Want It to happen.

I’ve wanted to get out some Kaze stuff as not as many people post it anymore and I’ve realised there’s still a big fandom community for Vampire Knight which is excitingg! I might move it over to Ao3 once I have time.~

I’ve been a little busy planning and “making the art” and custom credit card designs as well as payment plan ideas not too mention considering setting up an Etsy or Fiverr or somewhere people have more access to than pixiv as setting up my regular posting on my pixivFANBOX and trying to build a schedule for Saturdays whilst juggling my physical/mental health and transition as well as parenting and socialising more. Basically I want a gallery of stuff to trickle out rather than doing it every week under pressure rather than when it comes to me, as whenever I have pressure to deliver I lose my imagination and just feel like it’s a chore so avoid it. I’m sure other creatives can relate!

Likewise I’m sitting back and reading again to unwind again and haven’t caught up with everything I’m reading yet but I’ve got numerous things In The Works I’m taking more time on rather than rushing out chapters such as:

• The NYE one shot for Orange Juice in the Studio~

• Chapter 3 “A Date In The City” of Orange Juice in the Studio, essentially the ~teaser~ Aquarium and ice cream parlour date where I finally introduce supporting character into the actual story who works at the parlour! I don’t know when I’ll be introducing Mama but they are on the horizon for sure. I’m currently busy researching real locations in Valencia and I’ve never been so I don’t have in person reference and am sourcing that online. I’m also researching top LGBT+ hang out locations/clubs in the city to make appearances in the storyline.

• ORANGE JUICE IN THE STUDIO CHARACTER INFO SHEETS!!! Exciting.

Here I’ll give lots of what you need to know about OC and Reader! I’m wondering if I should not make one though for Reader or ask for engagement from my actual readers of Who Reader Is To Them, as well, the whole point of the character is to depict You as a reader, and those who relate to what I write can get on board. I will make a mock up one for sure and be loose with it as a rule! Or leave out absolute details like “star sign” or height or something.~

• Beginning work on the AU “HorrorLand! The Isle of Marionettes”! This will be about the Orange Juice OCs. As you can tell, it’ll be slightly gory horror fiction, somewhere to express my love for horror and things but not canon. Just a little fun.

• Designing what will be in my monthly newsletter which only Bronze subscribers will get for yours truly to enjoy!

• Weekly updates to my pixivFANBOX, with my manga style art specifically. My pixivFANBOX is for my manga art style only, my other types of art can be found on zer0comicz IG, and Zer0 Comics on Facebook, or posted on here. This is my official name for my freelance illustration/comic business.

• I’ll try getting some new commissions up I’ve got of OC and Reader on here and/or on @crimsonyoukai , if not that, I’ll make some mock ups on PiCrew whilst I’m doing my own.

thoma is just so dreamy fr but PLS i have this clip of me recorded while climbing a tree for shits n giggles thinking "hmm will he follow me up here" AND HE ACTUALLY DID i was so scared shitless he straight up teleported behind the traveler 😭 my body took a screenshot n i swore to never do it again :')) but other than that i had a reaaally good time w this part of the event hehe thoma just makes everything better <33

+ naauurr im pretty sure they make duels harder as u go thru nations !! im excited for sumeruuu omg once u get to rank 7 u can get to play w cyno ADNSJ i have one letter invitation saved for him i want to play w him rlly rlly bad .. and hmm when it comes to strategies ngl im just bad at it as well 😭 though i find myself setting the card w the most energy requirement as my active card the first time !! so i can have the burst ready at a good time aaand i usually attack a lot the first round since it's where most cards dont have energy to do bursts yet and probably oneshot u 💀 but it depends on what cards im against w anyways !! reading some details abt opponent cards r very helpful to me so i can see what's coming :')

I'm always gonna be torn on this question between Chong, Xiang, Fischl, Keqi, Mona and all the beans like thatttt. Butttt... Since she's my main and just got the lore of a lifetime from the event, I'm gonna give this to Fischl. The girl just got so much AWESOME character development, the kind of development Chong, Xiang, Keqi, Mona, Babsy all deserveeee. I hope they get events and cool stories ASAP. Hmm... Even that I've played has to be Windblume, but then I'm realizing now I've mostly skipped out on any event that doesn't interest me. Windblume is really only up against Unreconciled Stars, Dragonspine, Moonchase & Summer Fantasia by my recollection. That said, my least favorite event is probably actually the Xiao Lantern Rite festival. Which is kinda the obvious choice but yolo.

🔓 who’s your least favorite character personality/lore-wise?

Oooooh... Now THAT. IS. THE. QUESTION. Huh... Y'know I think it probably has to go to Beidou. The girl is just blah to me. She doesn't have a personality so much as exists as a conduit for filler dialogue. At least with characters like Ayaka and Xinyan and Lisa there is SOMETHING there. Lisa has her curious vision-Sumeru scholarship deal going on. Ayaka... Okay Ayaka is a close second to Beidou. Xinyan is at least a fun and positive personality. But man Beidou is just boring.

📰 who’s your least favorite character mechanics/kit-wise?

Thinking. Thinking. I'm only gonna include characters I've played in depth and I think of those I think it has to go to Noelle. Her ult is physically pretty but really she doesn't really exist to do anything flashy. And claymore wielders are always gonna have a harder time having cool auto-attack patterns, too. So yeah Noelle. Boring shield. And an ult that just makes her swing bigger. There's nothing really there imo.

🍑 what’s your least favorite game mechanic?

This might be a copout but I don't give a shit. I have to, have to, have to, have to, HAVE TOOOOOO bitch about the entire climbing physics in this godforsaken game. I don't know what happened but it feels like Hoyo has specifically carved unrealistic bullshit textures into walls and cliffs explicitly to fuck with climbing. The hit box for your character to actaully start climbing is wonky. And they've start putting everything even higher up and just outright bulging cliffs out to stop you climbing. And my God the amount of time I've started climbing just for my char to get caught on a one degree incline and decide NOPE you can't climb there any more and IMMEDIATELY leap off, often times in a completely bullshit direction. Ugh. Idk, no mechanic in this game makes me rage more than climbing lmao. That said I could probably bitch about just about every mechanic in this game. Hoyo's trademark is jankiness. See: Fischl's puzzles in the event. Miss. Me. With. That. Shit. Also the awful "stealth" mechanics. But yeah no fuck climbing.

🌰 who’s your favorite npc?

Y'know... This is a tough question because a lot of NPCS don't really stand out in this game. That said, I think there are two NPCS that stand out head and shoulders above the rest. And these are NPCS that are going to definitely STAY NPCS. So I'm not counting harbingers, Scaramouche, Alice, Mona's Hag, Rhinedottir or anyone like that. No, I think I'm gonna shout out CLOUD RETAINER and BOSACIUS. Bosacius's story in 2.7 was genuinely so fucking good and touching and just genuinely great storytelling. I wish we got to see him in person in Xiao's world/mind, but man I loved his story so much. Poor Bosacius is precious and needs protecting. And as for Cloud Retainer... Ironically I feel like back when we first reached Liyue she might've been my least favorite of the Adepti but as she's gotten more screentime and appearances, she's kind of an adorable momma to Shenhe and Ganyu with a clear affection for humanity and a need for companionship but a solemn acceptance of loneliness while also being highly fixated on her THINGSSSS. She's a really cool character and it'll actually hurt if Hoyo ever does anything to her.

🍂 what region are you most looking forward to?

I'm gonna give two answers to this, because my first answer is absolutely predictable as hell and the region cheats by holding onto the hope that Mona might finally get some real character development. That's Fontain. I'm actually really excite to learn a God of Justice looks like in Genshin, and curious as fuck for Fontain's high brow, caste-system culture. And I hope when we finally get ot meet Mona's hag there is actually some big twists and story implications that Hoyo have been keeping close to their chest. So that all has me excited and that's definitely the one I'm most looking forward too! The other is Kaenri'ah. Kaeya, Kaenri'ahan lore, Dainsleif, Albedo, Rhinedottir, and promise of an actual climax and meaning to the Traveler's story is all incredibly curious and exciting to me. But yeah no give me Mona lore pleasssseeeeeeeee. And I'm a libra so give us all the delicious justice based spirits and awesome you cannnn.

Happy Lantern Rite – Xiao x gn!reader (fluff)

The Lantern Rite had always been your highlight of the year. But this time, it was even more amazing. The whole city seemed to be engulfed in this soft, golden light, illuminating the various food stalls and different activities the Ministry of Civil Affairs had organized. Children were playing around with the Shadow Lanterns while their parents indulged in delicious foods and drinks. Everyone around you was smiling and laughing, enjoying the festivities and the buzzing atmosphere. But your favorite part, the actual highlight of this year’s Lantern Rite, was yet to come – and you still hadn’t found the perfect spot to watch the fireworks that everyone had been talking about since the festival had started.

Originally, you had planned to go to Yujing Terrace but you knew that it would be way too crowded for your liking once the show started, so it definitely wasn’t your favorite option, no matter how nice the view would be from there.

With a sigh, you leaned against the railing. Surely the fireworks would look really pretty from here too, when they would reflect in the water of the ocean that seemed to be particularly clear today, a deep, twinkling blue that would be the perfect backdrop for the bright lights of the firecrackers. But you still weren’t completely satisfied with your choice. Maybe it was because the area surrounding the stars that led up to the Ministry of Civil Affairs was beginning to get crowded as well or because the smell of the various dishes people were enjoying started to overwhelm your senses or-

You sighed again. Who were you trying to fool? You knew exactly why you were feeling like that, and there wasn’t a point in denying it. You were still upset because Xiao, that stubborn adeptus you fell so hopelessly in love with, had outright refused to accompany you on your trip to Liyue Harbour. Too many people, he had said when you had asked him for a reason, disappointment written all over your face.

You knew that he preferred to keep to himself, and usually, you didn’t mind it too much but today, it really bothered you. Even more so when you had to see everyone around you gathering in groups of two, three, sometimes more to watch the firework show together. They all were laughing and joking around, enjoying their time together while you slowly started to feel like the loneliest person in the whole city. Of course, you weren’t the only one who was here alone, and it also hadn’t bothered you the whole day, but now you wished you could share that special moment when the fireworks would illuminate the night sky with Xiao.

And especially in moments like this, you couldn’t help but be deeply jealous of the solitude he surrounded himself with. He never thought twice about being alone, gladly choosing it over any other option while you always had to persuade him for what felt like an eternity to go somewhere with you. There were no doubts that he loved you and enjoyed to be with you, but sometimes you wished that he was a bit less hesitant about accompanying you. But then again, you respected his decisions and his boundaries and would never ask him to change anything about himself – especially not when he’d feel uncomfortable with it. It was just that you felt almost incomplete when he wasn’t with you. Like you were desperately trying to find something you lost, knowing very well that you’d never be able to figure out where it was. It was pathetic to miss him like that, and yet there was nothing you could do about it.

You stared down into the water, lost in your own thoughts as you tried to fight back that awful mixture of utter disappointment and jealousy that threatened to overwhelm you. It only got worse when you heard the giggles and sweet words from a pair of lovers nearby, no matter how hard you tried to just ignore them. It was unfair to grudge them their happiness simply because your boyfriend wasn’t here, and you really shouldn’t get annoyed by them so easily – but just the sight of them made you feel so damn lonely that you wanted to scream.

And then, all of a sudden, a pair of arms wrapped around your waist and the ground beneath your feet disappeared. Startled, you closed your eyes, your breath hitching in your throat, your heart skipping a beat. Only a few seconds later, you were set back down.

When you opened your eyes again, the hustle and bustle of Liyue Harbour around you had disappeared, as well as the cheerful voices of the other festival-goers. Instead, you found yourself high above the city, at the top of Mount Tianheng where one had the most stunning view over Liyue Harbour and the adjacent ocean.

“I figured we could see the fireworks better from up here,” someone behind you said quietly, slowly releasing you from their embrace, only to tumble a few steps backwards when you threw your arms around them in an impetuous hug. “Xiao!” you exclaimed. “You’re here!”

He huffed, awkwardly patting your back. “Obviously.”

“What made you change your mind? I thought you wanted to spend the day alone.”

“I never said that. I just said that I didn’t want to go to the city today,” he replied, holding you at arm’s length as an unusually soft smile flashed over his face. “I could sense that you were feeling upset and – I thought it wouldn’t be too bad to watch the fireworks together. Um – if you still want my company, of course.”

You couldn’t help but smile back at him. Gone was the disappointment that had been on your mind almost the whole day. “You came here because you sensed that I was upset? I didn’t even know that was possible.”

He turned his head away to avoid your gaze but you could still see the rose-tinted blush that crept up his cheeks. “To be completely honest, I always keep an eye on you when you’re out alone. I noticed you looked awfully sad earlier, so I – I thought it would make you happy if you didn’t have to be alone for the rest of the day.”

“Oh.” You were pretty sure you had hearts in your eyes at this point. It was rare that Xiao said something like this because sweet-talking didn’t make much sense to him but that only made moments like this more precious. “Thank you.”

He nodded, allowing you to pull him into a tight hug once again. “I have to admit that I, too, feel a lot better now that you’re here with me.”

“Why’s that?”

“I don’t know how to explain it,” Xiao said, hesitatingly locking his gaze with yours. His golden eyes were filled with so much devotion that it sent a shiver down your spine but you could also see a hint of insecurity as he looked back at you. Reassuringly, you cupped his cheek, your heart skipping a beat when he leaned into your touch ever so slightly. “Try it,” you replied softly. “I’ll listen.”

A sigh escaped his slightly parted lips. “Fine. You know that I don’t like Lantern Rite – that’s why I didn’t want to do go Liyue with you, and in that moment, it felt right to make that decision. But as soon as you had left – well, let’s say I wasn’t so sure about that anymore. It’s like – it’s like there’s something missing when you’re not by my side. I feel lonely when you’re not with me.”

The blush on his cheeks had deepened with every word but this time, Xiao made no effort to hide it. It would have been pointless anyway because your hand was still resting on his cheek, your thumb softly caressing your skin. “I feel the same way, you know,” you admitted. “The festival was beautiful today and I really enjoyed it but it would have been even better with you by my side. I missed you.”

He didn’t reply, at least not verbally. Instead, he brushed his lips against yours in an almost chaste kiss, only to let out a quiet, surprised gasp when you pulled him closer, carefully deepening the kiss, right as the sky over Liyue Harbour exploded into bright colors and all kinds of shapes. The firework show had started.

You leaned your forehead against Xiao’s, smiling softly back at him. “Happy Lantern Rite.”

He rolled his eyes but wrapped his arm around your waist as you turned around to watch the fireworks in silence. Maybe mortals had been right all along, Xiao thought to himself. Perhaps fireworks could indeed fight off evil. Or maybe he was just feeling this way because you were here, snuggled up against him as you watched the colorful explosions with bright eyes. In any case, he hadn’t felt so much at ease in a long time.

“Happy Lantern Rite, (Y/N).”

They Escape the Game (Part 1)

(Pocket Edition)

Characters included in this part:

Xiao, Diluc, Kaeya

(I may make a PC version but it will more than likely just be HC’s because the only thing that would change would be the slight change in height)

Xiao

It took everything in him to finally decide to leave everything he knows behind and take a leap of faith out of the game. All he’s every known has been Genshin and ONLY genshin. So when he had finally gotten out of it he was more than surprised by what he saw.

When he had made it out, the first thing he was met by

Was you.

Except, you were h u g e.

You looked down at the tiny person in front of you who had just literally hopped out of your screen.

As you took a closer look your realized it was xiao.

HA, that can’t be right, right?

You went to poke him to make sure you weren’t just making it up but right before you did you felt his tiny hands push against yours a-bit.

“What are you doing?” He asked with his usually annoyed tone. Your eyes widened as you realized, this was in fact xiao. He just, popped out of your game.

You left the palm of your hand open as he hesitantly climbed on. You carefully raised him closer to your face as he grabbed onto your thumb to secure himself on your hand.

“Xiao?” You asked.

“Who else would it be.” He retorted, taking a quick glance at the very large objects around him. He was used to the large mountains in Liyue but nothing of this size.

Having the tiny man in the palm of your hand was such a weird feeling but you had to admit his tiny angry face did look adorable. You gently placed him back down as you began to think.

“How are you even here?”

“...” no response came from the tiny yaksha as he looked away, seemingly avoiding the question. He looked around your room a bit more and noticed that you had his mask on your wall.

“How did you get that.” He asked as he pointed to it, looking back down towards his hip where his now tiny mask still remained.

“Oh, this was a gift from a friend of mine.” You said as you carefully took it down and placed it in-front of him.

Carefully he stood on top of the mask and admired the detail, it was accurate to the one he had, which was impressive but he dare not say that out loud. He lightly hopped off the mask as he looked back at your phone that now had an empty space where he had been.

His mind did start to wander as he thought about how literally all he knew was essentially

A lie.

Not wanting to think about it to much he turned back towards you.

“Traveler... pick me up.” He demanded as his now outstretched hands wrapped around your finger as you lifted him back up to your face.

“I am now going to stay with you to protect you at all times. No, you do not have a say in this.” He proclaimed as you lightly chuckled.

“What’re you going to protect me with, a toothpick?” You joked and xiao pulled out his spear and lightly poked your finger, not enough to make you bleed but it still hurt causing you to almost drop him.

“Didn’t think that through, did you.” You laughed.

Going about daily life wasn’t too hard with Xiao always around. You found different places to hide him so if someone walked in they wouldn’t see him.

When going outside you attempted putting him in your pocket but it was a bit to much of a tight fit for him to stick his head out well. So you decided to get a small empty bag.

He’s often very quiet throughout the day, just enjoying being around you finally. He didn’t even care about how you looked he just wanted to be around you especially now that he’s in a huge world full of unfamiliar things.

Diluc

At first Diluc was unsure about dropping everything and leaving, since there was no guarantee of him getting back if he felt homesick. However, this thought was overruled when you had joined the game again.

He wasn’t one to just jump head first into things but this time he was sure about what he wanted to do. And before you could even do your normal greeting he had leaped from the screen.

He didn’t think about the fact that he had no idea where he was going to end up when he jumped through but that question was quickly answered when he landed in your face.

You immediately swatted at you face, thinking it was a bug, not caring to open your eyes and look at who it actually was.

Diluc hung on for dear life as you finally swatted him off but he luckily landed on the pillow in-front of you.

As you rubbed your mouth hoping to get the feeling of what you thought was a bug off your mouth you finally heard it.

“Traveler?” The voice said. It was a strong voice and sounded, a bit far away. You looked around for the voices host, but saw no one. Until you looked down at the pillow in front of you and noticed the small redhead who was standing there.

You had no idea what to say, this isn’t real right? But it’s so convincing. He practically look as if he was actually there.

“Diluc?” You asked hesitantly as he looked back up at you. This was the first time he had ever seen you face to face, you were a lot bigger than he had thought you were going to be but he found your features beautiful nonetheless.

You carefully put your hand down for him to climb up and he did. He held onto your thumb go slight security as you lifted him up to get a closer look, and sure enough, it was Diluc, down to every last detail.

“Oh my goodness it really is you! Why are you so small?” You asked, he shrugged his shoulders and turned back to look at the thing he popped out of which was your phone.

“Well I’m assuming since I come through that portal object over there, I ended up being no bigger than that size.” He said as you put him carefully back down on the phone.

“What is this thing anyways?” He asked as he tapped the sword attack button on your screen causing your character to attack.

“Ah, so that’s how you did it. I will admit this is a little bit weird for me.” He said as he turned back towards you.

“Are you still able to bring out your weapon and everything?” You asked and he nodded and drew his weapon. You were amazed to say the least. Your favorite character literally just popped out of your game.

“This is amazing! I can’t believe you’re here, how did you even manage to get out? Do you plan to go back? How would you even get back?” You rambled on with more and more questions as Diluc just calmly watched you as a small smile graced his features.

He didn’t care about getting back right now, all he cares about was that he was finally with you.

Kaeya

Your day had been pretty rough. Nothing was going right from the beginning so when you finally got back home you decided to just sit down and play Genshin.

When you entered you had realized Kaeya wasn’t in his usual spot which confused you but you decided to do a few quests before questioning it.

Eventually you had just gotten to the point in the Lantern Rite where you had to talk to Kaeya and you were ECSTATIC.

You made your way from Liyue to Mondstadt as fast as you could. And from a distance you could see the marker as it counted down the closer you got to it. As you made your way to fountain there he was.

He smiled at your presence as you ran around him in circles, trying your best to say hi. You stopped in front if him and went through the quest dialogue, praying to Barbatos that he wouldn’t disappear after wards, and lucky enough for you he didn’t!

You hopped up and down out if pure joy.

Kaeya chuckled a bit at your excitement as he put his hands on your characters shoulders to stop them from hopping.

“I have a little surprise for you, I’ve been working on it for a while. I need you to wait here.” He said as he backed up from your character. You watched him as he just disappeared.

“The hell?” You asked out loud, what kind of surprise was this? You expected him to appear back in front of you in game but it never happened.

You waited a little bit expecting something to happen, yet nothing did. Until you were met face to face with the blue haired Calvary captain.

Not expecting the sudden figure to just appear in-front of you freaked out and jumped up from where you were seated, cause Kaeya to go flying.

Luckily it was that far of a distance and he managed to land safely.

“Kaeya?” You asked, thinking you might’ve just had your phone to close to your face.

“Surprise!” He said, climbing back up your chair. He landed on a space where you both could see each other as he finally got a good look at your face.

You had no idea what to say as you looked at the tiny captain in-front of you. He still did some of his idle animations as he stood, waiting for your response.

“How did you get out?” You asked him, leaning down towards him a bit.

“I have my ways.” He replied. It’s Kaeya, did you really expect a full detailed answer? He looked around your room, taking in the new surroundings. It was nothing like he had seen in Mondstadt, for one thing there was technology.

This was entirely new to him, and there didn’t seem to be any weapons anywhere.

Your entire room was practically the size of Mondstadt to him.

“I must say, I didn’t actually think this would work, but I’m glad I could finally meet you.” He smiled, you smiled back, still unsure of what was happening and questioning if you should make an appointment with an eye doctor.

“How long have you been trying for?” You asked looking down at him, he paused as he thought of his answer, the time difference in your world was drastic from that of Teyvat.

“Well it’s hard to say but I have tried maybe, 25-30 times before. I was starting to lose hope if I’m being honest.” He admitted. You had no idea he was this dedicated to getting out of the game

To see you.

It was flattering but also a bit scary to think your favorite character has wanted to meet you just as much as you wanted to meet him.

“This height difference nah be a problem though.” He pointed out with a chuckle.

“We’ll figure something out I’m sure.” You responded

It is time to do a little check-in on my games before I do a year-end review of the games I have played for this year.

1️⃣ Pokemon Scarlet

The goal I set myself for the game was to have my selected Pokemon reach a minimum of level 65. To be honest, I have already reached the goal some time ago.

In the current state of the game (at the time of writing), Koraidon has already obtained all of the abilities needed to explore Paldea with ease. That's right, meaning I have defeated all of the Titans in Paldea. The only thing left for me to do is to visit the lighthouse to complete the Titans quest, but I am not so keen on it yet.

The next thing that has been done is the Gym quest. I have completed every gym and that means that I am able to catch Pokemons of all levels easier and they will listen to my commands. Like the Titan quest, I have not gone to the League to get my champion rank.

The third quest which is the Team Star quest is the only quest that is incomplete. I was actually dealing with the quest before I embark on the gym quest, but realised that the last two Team Star bases are too strong for my Pokemon then. I had to put a pause on it and went Tera raiding around Paldea to level up my Pokemon. Thus, the goal.

As for now, I am currently filling up my Pokedex through Tera raiding or encountering Tera Pokemon in the wild. I even purchased 999 Pokeballs just for this purpose. The thing is that even after you encounter the Pokemon, it does not fully register its information into the Pokedex if you don't capture it. As such, I am doing that, capturing and releasing the Pokemon just to fill up my Pokedex.

It is kinda killing two birds with one stone since I am currently levelling up the rest of my Pokemon. I may also complete the last two Team Star raids, finish the Titan and Team Star quests. The only quest that I would shelf now is the league quest because the location is back behind the school. I technically have no business there so it shouldn't hinder my exploration progress in the game.

2️⃣ Honkai Star Rail (HSR)

The goal I set for myself for HSR is to complete the first elemental set of characters before end January 2024. If you are unsure of what I meant, you can refer to my old post.

There is good news and bad news. Good news is that I completed my final Trailblaze ascension, meaning that my characters can now ascend to level 80 with ease. Bad news is I need to ascend my characters to level 80.

That also means that I have to start from my first built character again and work my way down the list. I also need to quickly get the final two relics which are obtainable only from the Simulation Universe.

The worrying part is whether I can make it in time. The only thing I can do now is to keep farming and levelling up my characters.

Another thing from the game that I need to quickly start on is the Luofu's event. Gah, I was planning to do it today but now, it's no longer an option since it's 45 minutes to midnight when I am writing this post (I have work tomorrow 😢). I probably will have to sacrifice a day of Genshin farming just to quickly do the Luofu event.

3️⃣ Genshin Impact (Genshin)

I realised something after posting that goal post days later... When I said that my goal for Genshin is to hit 20% fully built characters, I did not specify the total number of characters. That is extremely important because the total number of characters changes every month. At the time of writing that post, the total character count is 74.

The goal of hitting 20% fully built characters before Lantern Rite 2024 will only be for the total number of 74 characters. Otherwise, I will never hit that goal even if we shift the deadline.

Now that that is settled, let's get down to the progression of reaching the goal. To be honest, it is very slow. I am considering whether I should make the two days of the week solely for farming the materials in order to reach the target goal of 20%. It's still a thought in process but I also know I am running out of time.

4️⃣ Sky Children of the Light

I'd be very very very honest.

I have not logged in even from my last post about Sky.

I am actually considering to shelf the game for good because I don't feel motivated at all to return to the game. Sure, there are some very beautiful cosmetics like that ultimate gift scarf that I won't be able to get, and the limited time fireworks staff, but I just don't feel motivated to return.

I probably return to film a short clip because I do have a nice video idea, just haven't gotten around to doing it, but otherwise, I am really not planning to visit the game for the time being.

Author’s Note: I wanted to write this after I saw Seungmin in gayo daejun, he looked like a prince, then I saw an edit and couldn’t stop myself from writing. Also here's a playlist I actually made while writing this hehe

I saw her walking down the stairs, I could recognize her even in masquerade, her black masquerade mask perfectly hiding her, but her eyes were saying something to me. Her black eyes, which looked like they held my whole universe, her ruby lips, calling me over again. Her beautiful black-maroon gown with a boat neck, her collarbone looking the prettiest. Her red jewelry on her making her look more elegant, my forbidden fruit.

I started walking, and she was coming down, carefully. her black heels were visible. She just looked perfect. Everyone was looking at me, this masquerade ball party is for me. Today is the day I was waiting since the day I fell in love with her and promised her to make her mine. She looked at me and smiled gracefully.

She was finally standing in front of me, I asked for her hand, and she gave it to me, with her smile. I kissed her hand, took her to the center of the ballroom. The music started playing, I kept her hand on my shoulder and pulled her closer by her waist. She looked surprised, “You look so beautiful my love” I leaned to her and whispered at her.

She was looking down, I lifted her chin and made her look at me. She smiled at me, but her eyes searching for something inside me, as if she wanted to tell me something… something big but I was unable to understand her. She was being different, for the first time she didn’t tell me ‘she can’t be with me’ today instead she gave herself in.

We were swaying in the music of the piano, I wanted to enjoy all the moments while I am being her side, who know what will happen next, “thank you so much” she replied and looked at me with another smile, which looked pain...painful.

“Please let me enjoy today and you’re free to love me in your way today.” She said and spun her around. “You asked for it, love”

This time her smile was genuine as if she wanted to tell me, she’s accepting she will be with me. The lights dimmed all over the hall, and I looked at her. She was looking pretty even in the dim lights, it reminded me of how we met, she was practicing her dance for the lantern rite festival, and she was almost about to die by the hand’s soldiers of different kingdom. She was that one fierce lady out of the people who wanted to take those soldiers down, her bravery almost sent her to the heaven. She was saved after my soldiers came there for rescue, who knew we would meet in the market when I dressed as a commoner and sneaked out of the kingdom and almost got caught but she covered up for me.

After that we started meeting, who knew I would fall in love with a lady full of arts, she told me once, twice and then I shut her up everytime, she said she can’t fall in love but she fell, and we can’t be together.

I smiled at her reminiscing our memories, “why are you smiling?” she asked

“I was thinking about us, today you’re here dancing with me.” she looked down again,

“Seungmin…”

“Yes?”

“Kiss me.” she looked at me, “Kiss me, make me yours” she said it.

Her cold hands touched my cheeks, she tip toed and I leaned closer to her holding her cheeks, caressing her a bit and smashed my lips on her, that kiss said it all, how much I longed for it. Her hands resting on my shoulders, and I pulled her closer. Her hands went to rest on my shoulder, we were moving on sync because we were longing for eachother, I could taste her tears which were streaming down her cheeks, I was wiping them off with my thumb and telling her it’s okay. We pulled apart and smiled at each other.

“I love you”

“I love you too, more than you can imagine Seungmin, you mean more than my own life, I can give up on my own life because of you, because your existence and smile mean the whole world to me.” I smiled at her, she has no idea how much her words meant to me, I was waiting for this day when she would accept me and tell me that she loves me. Everything I wanted is happening today, I would tell the world she is mine and kiss her in front of everyone.

She turned around, hurriedly and held my shoulder tight, I looked at her and she tried smiling at me, very weakly. I felt my hand getting wet, the ones which were resting on her waist.

“Maria?”

She was holding my shoulder as if she will fall if she lets go of me, I looked at my hand, which was on her waist, it full of blood, red fluid flowing down her waist.

“MARIA?” I screamed, she was about to fall, I held her by her waist and we fell on the floor. I looked around there were many people who were dancing together with smiles.

“STOP THIS AND CLOSE ALL THE ENTRACES. NO ONE SHOULD GET OUT OF THIS CASTLE. THIS IS MY ORDER.” Everyone stopped whatever they were doing.

“YES YOUR HIGHNESS”

She was in my arms, “I told you, we can’t be together.”

“Stop, I won’t let you go anywhere, I will find whoever did this to you.” I was trying not to cry, never did I imagined this.

“I told you I can give up on my life for you, but you have to live. I am an assassin and the youngest princess of Marengo Kingdom Prince Seungmin and I was here to destroy your whole kingdom by killing you, but I couldn’t, I couldn’t because I fell in love with you and understood that whatever happened to our kingdom wasn’t your fault but they weren’t at fault as well. What happened in past, they were wronged and people died; how am I supposed to choose my own happiness when my own people who believed me; I will take the revenge one day? How am I supposed to be happy when I saw my people dying infront of me, crying in misery because they lost their family. How could I betray my own motherland and be happy here with you? I want peace, your highness. I never brought our ranks when we were together and accepted you just the way you accepted me but today, I request you to do justice and bring peace and I will be happy. Your highness please grant me my request.”

“How could you… do this? WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?I loved you…. I still love you. Please stay with me. I will do everything for you, everything.”

“I love you, but my duty as a princess comes first… please understand” she brought her hand to trace my cheeks, she caressed my cheeks. “I loved you with all of me, thankyou for showing me happiness and a world I wished to live in. Please be happy” my tears started falling down, I can’t let her go, she’s my everything.

“I’m really very happy today, do you know why?” she was crying, she was in pain and I was unable to do anything. “I saved you, today is the day, everything was supposed to end but how am I supposed to sit still and watch you die infront of my eyes, I can’t do that. You know right? Love? Who in this world would see her lover die infornt of her, I knew they were here so… this is my answer to them.” her breathing became heavy.

“Did you think about me? how will I live without you?” I chocked on my own tears, this was paining, everything was painful.

“You can, because I love you…” those were the final words before her hand fell down.

“NO!!!”

“Maria, maria wake up please, talk to me.” I was shaking her body but she never responded to me. everything felt so cold, why am I alone freezing, I am just left alone to cry.

“YOUR HIGHNESS, MARENGO KINGDOM DECLARED A WAR.” I heard our General say.

“WE ARE GETTING READY FOR THE WAR TELL EVERYONE.” I declared, unable to forget Maria’s request. “AND WE WILL SAY GOODBYE TO PRINCESS MARIA WITH FULL RESPECT” if only she knew how much it was paining, how did my ending turn to this, how did she leave me alone like this.

“I loved you and will love you Maria, I won’t let our love go in vain like this.” I kissed her forehead…

it’s been more than a month now since i last played genshin, which was around december 16, and due to that couldn’t do my weekly(like once a week-whole day playing) genshin playing, and why i couldn’t get my itto guarantee💀💀💀 even though i am guarantEED, but i guess my primos weren’t enough for this man huh😔, he was the first character i ever wanted to willingly roll on too, after all those months(i started playing by the start of the first lantern rite) i just fell in love with the man for what they were, his dorkiness, that bday song🤬🤬🤬😭😭😭😭 man he has high standards, even after i gushed on his abs in the trial and literally admired that btch right infront of my camera, even took me quite a while to exit the trial too dmskdkdkdkdkdkdk

🥰 anywayyy yeahh after that my country was struck with a super thypoon, thypoon rai internationally, thypoon odette nationally, and there was no electricity for 3 weeks, but on two of those days only, we got lent a generator and connected our wifi to it, which worked, and i was able to do my daily claim in hoyolab so i finally got my daily mail starting, or so i thought— because and when our part got fixed, that’s when the wifi line got cut or smthg, because ours didn’t work no more😔😔, so i was pretty depressed ig, even started to live in my delu- i mean fantasies quite deeply, and nowadays writing a whole business enterprise in teyvat in my head along with calculating time conversions in game and irl, because it is necessary for the worldbuilding in my head, well due to that my head kinda hurted bahaahaha, i used my wasted potential finally lol

and one of my friends, which lives in the neighborhood, plays genshin, and we actually formed a newbond over that shared interests and more over the ’no-electricity-period’ accepted my request for her to login my account and to get those stuff waiting my mail(mind you i fought for my little sister to tell her friend that because she could play genshin in mobile— my sister initially said ‘no’ because her stupid reasoning was ‘bc i dun wanna’ honestly she was being such a bitch then, thank goodness i wokeup today in good spirits because she asked my account’s password🥰) and now we are arriving at the point

which is well, uhm, how would my beloved characters in game waiting for all that time like, react or sum, because when i didn’t get itto r8 away i fr showed my disappointment quite clearly, even as far as too change my signature to ‘sad itto wanter’ or smthg like that, and even loudly said ‘if i don’t get itto i’m not gonna play anymore’ out of spite, honestly i was just trying out reverse psychology just to see if he was gonna come home😭😭😭 and during them dark days after that, i kinda feel really bad because i’ve had my share of more frequent ‘prolly-not-self-aware-moments-but-im-gonna-say-it-is-bc-they-were-too-weird-not-to-be-one’ moments, and after the electricity came back, we just borrowed the ones next door’s wifi(we share a wall, and their wifi wouldn’t reach the computer😭) and i’ve been like having my musical moments each night and i cried on one of em bc i miss playing, and wow genshin yt channel really added more salt to the wound by posting that lantern rite cutscene for 2.4, which i just viewed an hour it was uploaded, and i saw everyone and man, i just felt quite melancholicj jcjdjdjej.

And i just started to try out bennett too right before i logged off for that day in watatsumi doing that stupid spectre commission again, along with his new team, with xingqiu, kaeya and diluc— bennett’s spot was initially for itto but i put him there out of spite, and yes diluc is the first 5 star i got from gacha :D, i been wanting that man ever since i saw that cutscene in the wolf temple dkeekkkd. *sigh* i literally left them right aftera week i got diluc, then i got sara, bennett & xiangling, and since i always never am screaming out of happiness when i do get a character, it was really a shock, because man i feel like an orphanage hahaha, but i try my best to love all that i have, even if i seem quite cold bc i am the literal personification of diluc when i play the game bc i didn’t wanna look weird fangirling ahahahaha

so how would they deal with this, my 19 children, (btw i use lumine) my lovely characters: the amazing free 6 characters(w aloy, and i literally always played w my starter lol, just started using kaeya again too bc i kinda neglected him in favor of the girls, and he was kinda useless in dragonspine for the *real*best boi’s team, f u itto, u lost ur best boi status— i’m dreading his hangout too & m8 fall inlove again and i havent even completed the inazuma archon quest lol), diona(i was abt to do finally do her hangout the next time i played but odette happened), yanfei(i think she in my teapot— no w8 i benched her for now bc i got an influx of characters), xingqiu(literally when i got him he became the new lumine, he’s in the new team maksks man i rlly do favor him huh, i mean it’s a given bc i fell in love with him too), rosaria(best dps of mine, was my fave too bc i love that polearm gameplay ever since i tried out xiangling lol, still never did spirals abyss ahaha) FishcL(she gets to live in my teapot now with my library), beidou(i love her man, she was literally a suprise- like my existence and man i love her counter ability dmdmdk), then sucrose, noelle & ningguang(placed them in teapot bc they deserve their own spaces, and i need noelle to take a fricken break, and i’m planning her to be my budget itto now too and neglected her far too long), diluc(gave him the fish, man he is now the new xingqiu too, but xingqiu supremacy still tho), then bennett and xiangling(xiangling fr couldn’t wait for me to get to the spiral abyss and just came home instead), initally i was gonna farm good artefacts for all of them but 3 children got left on the doorstep, and now they’re all sharing artefacts, but i’m still gonna farm at the same time tho-

too bad they’re alone now, i wonder how they reacted when i actually unintentionally followed through my statement of not playing bc of itto, and the hope they might have had when the mail finally had smthg in it then not again, and then again for an everyday to an entire month now, but not playing?? which they might know i wouldn’t do bc i wouldn’t willingly miss an event especially a free ningguang skin?! And a potential yunjin?! Shenhe too man 😭 and enkanomiya— pls- I’m practically dyingggg, this is fr the second time i ever missed an event now wth, first every lantern rite 🥲, now windtrace☹️ Dmckjjkdjcdckjd

So like have fun brainrotting over this, and to anyone who reads this cry w me, and help me add more havria to the wound bc this lantern rite is a funeral now huhuhuhu and stay safe uwu also have u seen encanto?
