This is totally random but here are watercolour cockerels from my sketchbook.

It's so weird because I started this tumblr like 3 days ago and I'm still figuring out what my posts are gonns be like etc. I ended up deciding to delete all my reblogs and just to keep it personal, but oh well. I'm still deliberating whether or not to wholly delete the two pages I made and start over or to stick it out and hope the algorithm doesn't fuck me over💀. We'll see, y'all.

last two days of the semester!! i am so readyyyy

#im gonna hang around for another week bc i still have portfolio reviews lol #but im just so happy to be done with classes for a little while #i have a painting im planning for break and im so excited #i finally want to get around to that life sized nude self portrait ive been dreaming of #im thinking of priming wood panel with watercolor ground and laying down a watercolor and gouache base and then doing the majority in oil #pastel.. im super excited

Merry Little Batman is a lot of fun, and I can't wait for the TV show. I can see hardcore fans disliking the tone or the liberties taken, but to me, it was a funny, heartfelt, gorgeously animated romp. It's also just nice to see the Caped Crusader be silly once in a while.

2022 sure was a year.

I went to Svalbard and New York, got 2 new tattoos, published 2 books, had cancer (cervical, I'm fine now), started lifting more than my own bodyweight, went to 3 amazing concerts (Ghost, Avantasia and Battle Beast) and started doing karate again! I also severely overbooked myself yet somehow caught up on all the work I didn't do while my brain was preoccupied with cancer-thoughts. Hoping 2023 will be less high paced (haha, as if. Book 4 is scheduled for release in August ✌🏻) and hopefully the year I finally delete dating apps off my phone!

If I have any specific art goals for 2023, it’s to hopefully have the chance to work on some more different characters within the SPN ‘verse. I also want to find the time to do some more pieces in my trueform series and character portraits - probably for MomentoCon and wherever else I might see some of the actors I haven’t had the chance to see at a convention yet. I’ve been working on updating my Teepublic shop with more of my art, so you can get prints, bags, cases, mugs, and of course t-shirts with a lot of these pieces there. I may be opening a redbubble shop soon as well for some of the merch they offer that Teepublic doesn’t (as much as I love Teepublic’s quality and pricing.)
