Western Zodiac Legacy Challenge

Welcome to the Western Zodiac Legacy Challenge official rules! This challenge will take you through twelve generations of zodiac-inspired fun in the Sims 4. Each gen will represent one of the twelve signs from Aries to Pisces.

General Rules:

1. Every heir must be related to the previous one whether it be through adoption, birth, or blended families.

2. All rules for each generation must be completed before the heir dies.

3. Life span must be set to normal.

4. Cheats should not be used to complete the goals for each generation, but mods are allowed.

6. Each heir must have the required traits, and they must complete their aspiration unless not specified.

Each Zodiac sign has an element associated with it that impacts the sign’s identity.

The Fire signs are Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. Fire is the element of the spirit, and It’s passionate, fierce, and energetic. These signs have strong wills and lots of confidence. They are enthusiastic, driven, and impulsive.

Next, the Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn. Earth is the element of the physical realm, and It is all about being in the moment. Earth signs tend to be more materialistic and grounded than others. They are good with money and are practical people.

Then comes the Air signs, which are Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Air is the element of the mind and thought. It is creative, social, and intelligent. These signs are communication-oriented, gossip-prone, and logical. They are more emotionally detached and often spend time in their own heads.

Finally there are the water signs, Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. Water is the element of the heart, and It is all about emotions and sensitivity. Water signs can be more spiritual than others. They feel things on a deeper level.

Signs are also categorized into Masculine and Feminine.

The Masculine signs are Libra, Gemini, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. These signs tend to get energy from the outside world, and they can be more assertive and intense than their feminine counterparts.

The Feminine signs are Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Virgo, Taurus, and Capricorn. They tend to be more cautious and careful in their day to day lives, and they absorb energy rather than expel it. Feminine signs may be more in touch with their emotions than masculine signs.

Generation One: Aries

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and they definitely love being first. Aries are natural-born leaders. They love to start things, however, finishing tasks isn’t their strong suit. They have lots of energy and motivation when it comes to experiences. Aries are very charismatic and love every new day. They love to conquer and confront and are not afraid to venture into the unknown.

Symbol: The Ram

Ruling Planet: Mars

Colors: Red and Mustard

Dates: March 21 - April 19

Mantra: I am

Fire sign, Masculine Sign

You grew up in an environment that never allowed you to reach your full potential, so as soon as you became a young adult you moved away from home to start a new life. You are a leader at heart, but you can come off as cocky and overconfident. However, you are quite intelligent and people take you seriously. You find yourself in the doctor career and you are determined to prove yourself to the world.

Traits: Self Assured, Noncommittal, Ambitious

Generation Two: Taurus

Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac. They are all about rewards, and being an Earth sign plays a big role in this. Taurus love material goods and they revel in delicious excess. They also enjoy romance and can be very methodical, patient, and dependable, much like the Earth itself. Being ruled by Venus definitely contributes to Taurus’s love of pleasure and goods. The Taurus has generous, steady, and patient energy, and they can also be extremely stubborn. They see all their projects through and care more about the outcomes than the journey. They enjoy building and sustaining a lush, comfortable, fulfilling life.

Symbol: The Bull

Earth Sign, Feminine Sign

You have always been very independent, and you spend most of your time in the kitchen and garden. You have always found comfort in stability, and you take pride in your home. Sometimes your laziness peeks through, but overall you pour your heart and soul into your work and family. You are a hopeless romantic, but once you find your soulmate you never want to leave their side.

Traits: Romantic, Loves the Outdoors, Materialistic

Career: Interior Designer

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist

Goals:

- Reach level 7 of the Interior Designer Career

- Complete the Freelance Botanist Aspiration

- Maintain a flourishing garden

- Never move more than twice in your life

Generation Three: Gemini

Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac. They are very sociable intellectuals, and their mind is their greatest strength. They are interested in developing relationships and are very bright, quick-witted, and the life of the party. They are very creative people as well. Geminis hold the power to be change-makers, and they are great at adapting. They love to weave together endless conversations and are great communicators. Being an air sign, they sometimes change more than others would like. This can make them appear as untrustworthy or flaky, but they are typically very lighthearted and love humor.

Symbol: The Twins

Air Sign, Masculine Sign

You were always chatting with everyone you met, and you showed signs of intellect at a young age. You love science and socializing, so the Civil Designer career seems perfect for you! On the weekends you love to party with your friends, and you aren’t afraid to show off your moves on the dance floor. You love to throw and attend parties. You enjoy being a positive change in your community, and you will do everything in your power to improve the lives of everyone you care about.

Traits: Genius, Outgoing, Maker

Career: Civil Designer

Aspiration: Party Animal

Goals:

- Reach level 10 of the Civil Designer career

- Complete the Party Animal Aspiration

- Master Logic, Juice Fizzing, and Comedy

- Have two romantic relationships at the same time

- Go clubbing (or throw a party) every weekend

Generation Four: Cancer

Cancer is the fourth sign of the zodiac. Cancer signs are all about home and family. They are maternal, domestic, and natural-born nurturers. They often have large families and have a good memory for storytelling. They are very emotional and wear their heart on their sleeves. They tend to be inner aware and can be some of the most sensitive of any sign. They have protective awareness at the core of their being and are kind, giving, and sympathetic. They can always be counted on by their family, and they tend to enjoy staying at home. They are often the matriarchs of the home. Sometimes cancers can become overly emotional, needy, and vulnerable due to their intense feelings.

Water Sign, Feminine Sign

You always dreamed of having a large, loving family to make you feel safe. There was never a doubt in your mind you would become a parent. Home is where your heart is, and you are happiest surrounded by those you love. You fell in love with your childhood best friend, and you are a sucker for romantic gestures. However, you have a gloomy side to you that you keep bottled up and hidden from your family. You find yourself in a teaching career as you love working with kids. You made a best friend as a child who later on became your life partner.

Traits: Family Oriented, Gloomy, Romantic

Aspiration: Big Happy Family

Goals:

- Complete the first two milestones of the Big Happy Family Aspiration

- Master Parenting

- Reach level 10 of the Teacher career

Generation Five: Leo

Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac. They love being center stage, and first impressions are important to them. They are very ambitious and their sense of purpose allows them to accomplish a lot. They love the limelight and have a flair for the dramatic. They often take leadership to inspire their team, and they are natural-born leaders. They are born with a sunny disposition and are often enthusiastic, optimistic, and prideful. Sometimes they become overly self-centered and it can be hard for them to focus on other people. Despite how they truly feel, a Leo will always want to come across as confident. Their great willpower comes from Leo being a fixed sign that is resistant to change. They have a fiery nature that thrives off of activity, stimulation, and bold art forms.

However, your mom wanted the best for you and encouraged you to be a kind and understanding person. You made lots of friends and strived to reach the top of whatever you did. Your temper is often the first thing to go in arguments, but you are usually very energetic and full of positive energy. You try your best to be less overbearing to your own children than your mother was to you.

Generation Six: Virgo

Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac. They love everything to be as precise as possible, and they can be somewhat picky and critical. They enjoy helping others and are very efficient. They have a strong sense of duty and are driven in their careers. They despise being unprepared and are extremely observant. Virgos are adaptable and meticulous, however their highly functional mind can lead to anxiety, worry, and insomnia. Balance is important to them, and they can burn themselves with work if they do not get enough time for self-care. They are good communicators and are happy to be at service to their family and friends.

Symbol: The Virgin

Earth Sign, Feminine Sign

As a child, you disliked the spontaneity that came with being the daughter of a famous celebrity.. Often you work overtime, but it is all worth it to you to keep your business clean and the customers happy. In your spare time, you love to grow flowers and arrange them to keep in your clinic. You love to collect books since you believe that in order to improve the world you need to learn all you can about the way it works.

Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac. Libras are focused on others and how they can relate to them, and they hate being alone. Libras work best in pairs, and they adore balance, harmony, and fairness. They feel best when in a stable and eternal relationship. Libras are focused on the outside world rather than themselves, and they can act as mediators in any challenge. They are quick to smooth out arguments, and they easily forgive others. A Libra will always be entertaining and make sure that everyone around them is having a good time. They are sociable and hate being alone.

You often forget to think of yourself, but your loving spouse helps remind you to put yourself first sometimes.

Generation Eight: Scorpio

Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac. They have a thirst for learning, and they will stop at nothing to know everything they can. They are in touch with their own emotions, however, they are extremely observant and reactive. They are great at keeping secrets, and they are mysterious, hard-working people. Scorpios tend to be patient and artistic, and they are reliable most of the time. Their tempers are short, and they are true fighters. Sometimes they can become rigid and overly fixated on their obsessions, but they know that good things come to those who wait. Scorpios love having control, and they can be suspicious, manipulative, and slow to trust others.

Water Sign, Feminine Sign

You grew up around criminals and the legal system. It was a major influence on you, but not in the same way it affected your mother. You want a more hands-on experience fighting criminals, so you join the Secret Agent career. Some might say you are just a dark, mischievous, and mysterious vigilante, but once someone gets to know you they will realize you are actually very artistic, thoughtful, and intelligent. One day you have an encounter with an enchanting and mysterious vampire who turns you into a member of the undead. As an Adult, you turn your focus from crime-fighting to becoming the most powerful and skilled vampire.

Generation Nine: Sagittarius

Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac. They are explorers at heart, and they value truth and honesty. They have a broad and open-minded approach to life. They are very active and adventurous and have enthusiastic energy. They are keen on adapting and philosophy, and they are very optimistic and find it easy to see the bright side. Sometimes they can be brutally honest which can get them in trouble if they don’t remember to control their impatience and occasional short temper.

Dates: November 22 - December 21

Masculine Sign, Fire Sign

While your mother was mostly unable to go outside due to her sun sensitivity, you always dreamed of exploring the world. They are very business-focused and resourceful. They are down-to-earth and have a very good judge of character. Sometimes they can obsess over their goals in life, and this can make them stubborn and relentless. Their work ethic is often unmatched by those around them, and when feeling insecure they can cut people out of their lives.

Aquarius are always looking for a fresh perspective. They are clever and have a cool and collected interior. They do not usually fit in with mainstream society, and they can be radical and ahead of their time. Aquarius’ are innovators and leaders who always look towards the future. They can be hard to relate to due to their capacity for abstract thought.

Pisces are associated with dreams and illusions. They are tender and sympathetic, and they are very artistic and can be councilors to their community. Pisces will help anyone in need and are idealistic and imaginative. Pisces are the final sign of the zodiac, and they carry some qualities from each sign before them.
