Yandere Demon Slayer Concept

I'm watching Demon Slayer while writing this, so please request for demon slayer if you would like.

You were childhood friends with Tanjiro, being only a few years younger than him. When you were children, you would spend nearly all your time with him and his family. You met him when he was playing with his siblings near their home. You stood back, simply watching them for a while before Tanjiro asked you to play with them.

You didn't really know what to do, you were awkward, and it took you a while to warm up to them, but Tanjiro's kindness made you feel comfortable. During this time, Tanjiro learned you were an orphan, that your parents died when you were very young, and from then on you were forced to take care of yourself. When explaining this to him, Tanjiro's brotherly instincts kicked in and was instantly worrying over you, even when you told him not to. You even declined him, and his families offers to move in with them.

Either way, you and Tanjiro became best friends quickly. While he loved spending time with his siblings, there were times when he wanted to escape his older brother responsibilities. Though, he couldn't deny the joy he felt seeing you get along with his siblings, especially his younger sister, Nezuko. To him, you were slowly and slowly becoming a Kamado, which he loved.

Tanjiro couldn't pinpoint when his feelings for you started to become intense, but it didn't really matter to him. As Tanjiro's feelings started to become closer, he began to hate your lifestyle more and more. You never accepted help from them, since you believed you were just fine on your own. Even when he tried to explain how easier life would be with them, you never excepted any of their help. Although, that didn't stop Tanjiro from trying. He'd often show up at wherever you were staying with food for the week and clean clothes. He'd do so, saying it was his responsibility as a big brother to help you.

Life was good, that was of course until his family was attacked. While Tanjiro was away, you went to go check up on his family. When you arrived, the carnage was already done, with most of Tanjiro's family being slaughtered. You knew demon attacks were increasing, but you never thought it would happen to anyone you knew.

Muzan could sense you before you even knew he was there. He watched silently as you checked for Nezuko's pulse, unaware that she was becoming a demon. He doesn't know why, but he feels at peace when watching you, like he was lost in time. He didn't feel hungry or a need to attack you, just at peace. His peace was broken when Tanjiro returned, forcing him to leave. He watched as you and Tanjiro left with Nezuko, Muzan vowing to himself to find you again.

You and Tanjiro left to find help, but you only make it halfway through the forest when your stopped by a demon hunter. You expected him to kill Nezuko, so you shielded her with your body. Surprisingly, he doesn't kill her, and instead urges him to find a man named Sakonji Urokodaki on Mt. Sagiri, where he can train to potentially become a demon hunter. You could tell Tanjiro was hesitant to leave his family, but you encouraged him to take the demon hunters advice in order to save his sister.

Tanjiro wanted you to come with him, at a point he even demanded you to. But you knew it would be too dangerous, for both you and him. You couldn't risk Nezuko or Tanjiro's safety, so after a tearful goodbye, Tanjiro went off to become a demon slayer, and potentially save his sister from becoming a demon.

It was strange being alone for the first time in years, the quiet was not something you enjoyed. After Tanjiro left, you were forced to take on a lot of odd jobs to take care of yourself. Eventually, you started to take up painting as a hobby. Since money was still very scarce for you, you had to make your own canvases, paints, and paintbrushes. However, every once in a while a nice family would commission a portrait from you. It didn't make the most money since you weren't a recognized artist, but it was better than the odd jobs you were usually doing for money.

Your small status as an artist was why you were very surprised when the father of a wealthy family commissioned a portrait of him and his family. You were even skeptical of excepting it since the man seemed so sketchy, but you couldn't afford to deny work, so you accepted, I'll be it reluctantly.

Muzan was very pleased to find you again, not that it was that hard, he easily remembered your scent. It was strange, seeing you live such a depressed and stagnant life after your friend with the Hanafuda earrings left. When he first found you, he would watch your home, almost protecting it. You barely left, and when you did, you were working such low-level jobs, it was almost embarrassing. It was the pity he felt, nothing else, for why he commissioned a portrait for him and his "family."

The strange man, who introduced himself as Tsukihiko, was distant from the rest of his family. During the sessions, he held his daughter and wife close, but there was no love in is hold. It was weird that such a stoic man wanted a portrait, especially one of such a hefty price. Even stranger, he'd ask questions regarding your life, your job, your friends, almost like he was interrogating you, it made you nervous. Even when he wasn't talking, his look made you want to shrivel up and die.

You had no choice but to grin and bear it, though, since the portrait was getting you a lot of money, enough money to potentially leave and find Tanjiro. You wondered how much he would've changed in the last two years, and if Nezuko would still be alive. It took many days and nights, but the portrait was eventually finished. Tsukihiko seemed pleased by the painting when you delivered it to him, which made you feel proud of yourself. However, when you explained to him you would be leaving in the following days, he seemed almost...disappointed.

Muzan was enraged at the care he felt whenever he was around you, it made him want to rip you to shreds and eat you. Though, whenever the thought came to mind, he wanted to puke. During the painting sessions, he learned more and more about you, and it was fair to say that he was hooked. So, when he heard about you leaving, he felt extremely disappointed. He only got to spend about a month with you, and it was with his disgusting family. He wasn't to upset; he knew he would be able to find you no matter where you went. Muzan ordered his followers to stay away from you, threatening them with worse than death if they were to hurt you.

You left the following day after finally collecting the money you needed. You didn't know where to find Tanjiro exactly, so you decided to ask around for any signs of him. You traveled from village to village looking for Tanjiro and Nezuko, only to find very little about them. You were slowly losing money and you were starting to lose hope about finding your friends. It was when you were about to board the train back home that you finally found him.

After helping Shoichi and Teruko save their brother, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, they're led to a house where they can rest. During recovery, Tanjiro was able to pick up your scent. He rushed to find you, even with his wounds, he didn't care. He yelled for you, stopping you from boarding the train, smiling when he finally got to see you after these long years. After all Tanjiro's been through, he's happy to see you once again, and so were you. Many tears were shed before he led you to his temporary residence, where you met his friends and was reunited with Nezuko, who didn't exactly remember you, but was happy to see you.

From this moment on, Tanjiro swore to never leave you again. He held your hand for the rest of the night, not even wanting to let you go when you had to go to sleep. The whole time he was training he missed you terribly. You were one of the only constant things he had in his life, and he wasn't going to lose you, he wouldn't let it happen.

☆ sanemi hates demons.

☆ that much is clear from the spectacle he made of your older sister, nezuko, at the hashira's headquarters with that horrrible temper of his. needless to say, you don't like him at all and he clearly doesn't like you or your sister, either. it certainly doesn't help that master kagaya seems to have a sour sense of humor as you're now stuck with him as your babysitter.

☆ both tanjiro and nezuko vehemently object to master kagaya's orders. the servants of the residence had to literally rip you from the ironed grips of your older siblings, who were screaming bloody murder as if you'd be separated for the rest of eternity. they were certainly being a tad bit dramatic, but you'd be lying if you said you weren't just as upset.

☆ with the deal set in stone, however, sanemi drags you to his home as begrudgingly as humanly possible and condemns you to one of his spare bedrooms. apparently he lived alone (expected tbh) in a traditional style home, complete with the koi ponds and bamboo deer scares. it's nice, you'll give him that, but his nasty attitude doesn't seem to match the beauty of his residence.

☆ although your living conditions are less than ideal, you're old enough to know that staying under someone else's roof is almost never free. you try (keyword: try) to do what you can to help around the house but sanemi is constantly hollering at you to leave him alone or to not mess with his stuff.

☆ he insists you stay in your room and out of his way, but you still tail behind him from afar out of your debilitating boredom. if he notices, he says nothing, and simply ignores you as if you're not even there. at least when you were with tanjiro and nezuko there was always something to do—sanemi is so boring.

☆ sometimes sanemi gets really angry for seemingly no reason and at any given time. he'll storm outside and take it out on the poor practice dummies that litter his backyard, grunting in oblivious rage when he accidentally kicks one of their heads off. you're not sure what it is about you that makes him so angry; you've kind of already ruled it out as his perpetual state of being.

☆ and, well, sanemi doesn't... hate you. you remind him so much of his younger brother, genya, and most of his anger is only borne out of pain. as the eldest of the family he once knew, it's not like the instincts he acquired to take care of his siblings just went away. you simply remind him of who he used to be and the weaknesses that tore his family apart make him inexplicably angry.

☆ considering your resemblance to his late younger siblings (and genya), sanemi does get protective over you in his own ways. sometimes you meddle too close to the windows during the day, so he'll yell at you to move. or sometimes when you're scarfing down the raw meat he gives you, he yells at you to slow down lest you choke.

☆ it may seem like he's not paying attention to you at all, but he's always peeking at you with watchful eyes. he's notices that you like to watch him train but can't be out in the sun, so he hung up a blanket in the branches of a nearby tree without saying a word to you. you smile knowing that you're growing on him.

☆ during the evening, sanemi often catches you out in the garden picking flowers. usually he'd shrug his shoulders and turn his nose up, but he felt compelled to see what you were doing out there all the time. plus, he couldn't have you wandering out beyond the walls.

☆ "what're you doin', kid?" sanemi's booming voice scares you and you drop your basket of colorful flowers on the ground with a squeak. you scramble to gather them again and you're surprised to see a pair of scarred hands helping out, too.

☆ "i'm gonna make flower crowns for when tanjiro and nezuko get back." you answer once all the flowers are back in the basket. sanemi snorts. "flower crowns?"

☆ you nod. "yup! here, i'll show you how to make one." sanemi has zero time to refuse as you grab his hand and pull him down onto the grass with you. you take a length of string that you had stolen from one of his many rooms of junk and began to attach the flowers to it with a clever weaving pattern.

☆ sanemi is fuming in embarrassment as you eagerly teach him how to make a stupid flower crown. this is ridiculous. but why can't he just get up and leave? when you hand him the string of flowers to try it out for himself, your childish giggling is contagious as he fumbles clumsily and accidentally crushes the delicate stem in his callous grip.

☆ in the end, sanemi finds himself enjoying making flower crowns with you, but he threatens you violently with a ruffle of your hair should you tell anyone about it. he would never admit it but as he looks at the crudely made flower crown that you helped him with, he feels a distantly familiar feeling of warmth igniting in his heart again.

☆ the rest of the days you spend with sanemi begin to feel more pleasant than it did initially. sanemi no longer leaves you to your own devices, but instead tries to find things for you to do during the day when you can't go outside. he'll bring you puzzles and teach you how to read with children's folktales written on tarnished scrolls that he said he kept from his old family home.

☆ you're not sure what happened, but sanemi dotes on you now. once you had tripped and split your finger open, and sanemi rushed to your side like it had been your head. it healed within a few seconds, but sanemi still scolded you for walking around unsupervised.

☆ and when you get feverish due to your refusal of eating human flesh, which is often, sanemi tarries by your side day and night in order to make sure you're as comfortable as can be. cold, damp towels on your forehead, fresh raw meat at your bedside, and anything else you want, he gets for you. the worry etched into the lines of his forehead shows how much he cares about you.

☆ by the time tanjiro and nezuko return from their mission to collect you, sanemi doesn't even want to let you go. in fact, you've both grown attached to each other and while you're overjoyed to see your siblings again, sanemi has also become something like an older brother to you. you've grown to love the big residence and his presence.

☆ you're in tears as sanemi pats your head and smiles crookedly at you for what feels like the last time. you beg tanjiro to let you stay longer but he firmly tells you no. sanemi makes tanjiro promise that he'll take you to visit him or else he'll kill him (he's serious).

☆ when you inevitably depart from sanemi (tanjiro has to pry you away from him), he feels about as lonely as the day is long. the residence feels too big without you following behind him like his own shadow, and every time he turns a corner he half-expects to find you doing something to cause trouble.

☆ sanemi takes the flower crown you both made and seals it in a glass jar. he hopes that you'll visit again before it withers, or else he might just go out and find you himself.

yandere!jack the ripper headcanons with fem!tanjiro!reader

warning: aged up!reader [in late twenties], obsessive behavior, violence, spoilers from manga/anime, including the spinoff featuring Jack the Ripper. Please take caution when reading the content.

This is a collaboration with @onecantsimply that’s been divided two segments since it’s so dang long lol. The second part will be released within a week or so! So without further ado, let the show begin! :)

PART ONE: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE

The universe is composed of three realms: Midgard as the realm of Humanity and animals, Valhalla is where the Gods and the souls of the dead dwell, and Helheim is where the demons dwell. Demons that no doubt were the same ones that the Hashira and [First Name] Kamado had encountered all of those years ago in the living world.

When these carnivorous creatures caused chaos and turmoil under the control of Muzan Kibitsuji, the Demon Slayer Corps had been the only organization in existence to fight against them. And now, in the afterlife, it seemed like their services were still needed by Lord Hades.

The ruler of the Underworld may be feared by many, he cannot be everywhere at once. Especially when the denizens try to break through the Bifrost and enter Valhalla with nefarious intentions. That is why he had gone through the trouble of re-establishing a base of operations in Valhalla, providing an opportunity for any soul who had once served the Demon Slayer Corps to protect the human souls that dwell alongside the deities.

But Kagaya Ubuyashiki was not going to allow the Lord of the Dead to do as he pleases with his children. He said so himself when the deity approached him and his wife in their private garden under the canopies of wisteria trees. After a month of negotiation behind closed doors, the two men came into agreement in regard to how the Demon Slayer Corps would be managed. The slight changes were as follows:

Kagaya Ubuyashiki would remain the leader of the organization and would relay information to Lord Hades as needed. The deity would not interfere unless it is absolutely necessary.

Including the extermination of wayward demons, there would be regular patrolling around or near the Bifrost. That is the only gate between Valhalla and Helheilm, and the supreme gods were the only ones who can bypass it freely without an Iridescent Pass.

The Hashira and their successors would be the only ones who are permitted to carry an Iridescent Pass.

Do not become romantically involved with the gods.

This last change is to prevent any poor souls from getting caught up in a scandal, especially with Zeus or Hades’ beloved nephew Heracles. He did not have to worry about the latter, but the boy is known to get attached to humans too quickly.

As the recently indoctrinated Sun Hashira, [First Name] Kamado did not see anything wrong with these new rules. Besides, it was nigh impossible to even think that anyone, let alone a god, would be romantically interested in her when she had new responsibilities!

She had to make sure that her precious little sister Nezuko would be able to rest easily in this afterlife as well with the family she made with Zenitsu.

But if she had been more aware of her surroundings…would the Sun Hashira have made different choices that would have prevented her from becoming the apple of a serial killer’s glowing crimson eye?

You had met him through an undercover mission. Posing as a server at a popular teahouse three to four miles southeast of the red-light district alongside Kanao, your objective had been to confirm the whereabouts of a demon that had been terrorizing denizens as of recently. Fearing that a certain pair of siblings had slipped through the Bifrost to resume what they had started in the mortal realm, you automatically volunteered to scout for information while Uzui kept an eye on the activity at nightfall.

You and Kanao would switch shifts with the Sound Hashira, to keep up the flashy appearance of being hard-working newcomers looking for a better chance of a more peaceful afterlife. Uzui’s words, not yours thank you very much.

So far, there have been five mutilated bodies found in two weeks. Definitely the work of a demon…but unusual to say the least. From what you could recall, Daki preferred to keep her victims concealed and bound with her Blood Demon Art until she was famished. Gyutaro was the one who selected their prey, but nothing beyond that…unless he played with his victims until he got bored and sliced them up with his scythes.

But why go through the trouble of slicing them up from abdomen to the neck, and then leave them out for everyone to see? To a demon, that would be drawing in too much attention and a waste of a meal.

Yet while these questions continued to race through your mind, the gentlemanly patron with the strange-looking hat would always come in at exactly five minutes to three o’clock in the afternoon for tea-time. Darjeeling with two teaspoons of sugar and a splash of milk with a slice of apple pie on the side. Always with the same order, and always the exact amount of change before he sat near the window with a newspaper.

Everyone was unique in their own way. But whenever he entered the teahouse, his scent made you feel slightly tense. The scent of blood and excitement; it was a worrisome combination, though there was nothing else to indicate that he was a demon.

On one particularly busy afternoon, Kanao was handling the register, and the other employees were busy carrying out orders to and from the kitchen. Seeing that the gentleman hadn’t gotten his usual beverage and snack, you decided to step out from behind the counter and help out.

Straightening up the white frilly apron that covered the front of your modest black uniform and greeted him with a smile.

The second he looked at the young lady with a flame-shaped burn mark on the left side of her forehead, Jack felt his breath hitch. Immediately he felt his body being encompassed with a warmth he hadn’t felt since he had been a child. It was…similar to the love he held for his mother, naively believing he was the only one she cared about until that fateful day, yet something new entirely.

He almost lost his gentlemanly composure when she offered to take his order, though he thankfully recovered as he recited it for her to write down. To his shame, he could not resist sparing a glance at her callused hands and then at the name tag pinned to her uniform. Sumiko. That was her name.

He had seen many beautiful women in his short life, but why, or what, is it that made her loveliness stand out from the ladies who used their looks to seduce men? Was it because she is earnestly trying to help him, a customer with no ulterior motives? That is possible.

Her smile, though….it made him feel warm. As if the sun were shining down on him through the establishment’s walls. When she promised to bring his order out shortly, she nimbly glided across the checkered tile floor towards the back.

Jack felt disappointed upon her departure, and in an attempt to distract his muddled mind, went back to reading his newspaper. Much to his annoyance not a single word on the front page did nothing to keep his curiosity piqued. Instead he felt cold. So very cold now that the young lady with her tied up hair and her smile were gone.

He was…quite confused at the situation. In retrospect, the waitress is a handsome and neat creature to behold…yet appearances are always deceiving. What about her color? That canvas of emotions will tell him, as an artist, everything he needed to know.

From the moment that he pocketed his monocle, a kaleidoscope of colors blossomed. He could see every emotion of every person within the building. Anxiety. Impatience. Hunger. Confidence. And then…

“I’m sorry for the wait, sir!”

Jack’s glowing red eye widened in silent awe and disbelief. Here was this young lady, cradling two trays in either arm as she passed out numerous dishes with a slightly tired grin, dyed in a light pink color he had not seen in so many years. The color of kindness. And yet…there is a tinge of dark blue as well.

Caution, perhaps? But of what? Him?

He almost dropped the newspaper when Sumiko delivered his order to him, and for the second time today he had to quickly regain himself in front of a stranger. He thanked her for the Darjeeling tea and apple pie, smiling politely before she went around to help the other waiters.

Since that day, he had come to enjoy this teahouse a little bit more, and not just because the sweet Alice had recommended this place after visiting it herself on a day off from the cafe he had frequented in London.

Like clockwork, he came in at the exact time with a newspaper, and observed the young lady to see if her vibrant color would blacken. But it never did…and neither did that cautious feeling leave her body, nor her acquaintance Kanao.

Was something happening?

Pretending to read his newspaper, Jack strained his ears to pick up on the tidbits of information the two ladies whispered to each other. Investigation…going nowhere…a ninth body in almost two weeks…no leads. The Ripper…is back? No concrete evidence.

Oh? Were they the ones looking into the recent spree of murdered prostitutes? Hm. It seemed like an old friend had returned to finish what he’d started. It appears that he'll have to be more careful from now on.

“Excuse me, may I have another cranberry scone to go?”

Jack blinked, glancing over his shoulder. His gaze narrowed at the casually gentleman sitting behind him….rather, at his colors. Yes…he will definitely need to be much more cautious than ever.

Because the man he had killed to see that magnificent color of fear is right here. The original Jack the Ripper, that is. Mister Luke Evans.

The Wheel of Fortune is one of the most highly symbolic tarot cards in the Major Arcana. Upside, it is an indicator of good luck or a change in destiny. In reverse, however, it can mean there is an upheaval or external forces beyond control are at work.
