The problem with depression is
-You know you’ll be ok, but you still feel awful. -You know people love you, but it doesn’t feel like they do. -You know doing something will make you feel better, but you just don’t know how to. -You want to be well, but you just can’t seem to get there.

Somebody has to say it
Somebody has to say it:
I just ran out of ideas to write about, so I search the net and I found this list of ideas. So I was interested of the “Somebody has to say it”. There are a lot of things that we tend to hide and we avoid saying them to somebody for some reasons. Some reasons like we are afraid we might hurt the feelings of someone, or we are embarrassed to share our thoughts, or we don’t have the guts to say it or simply because we don’t want to be judged. So here are some my own thoughts that I never had the guts to say aloud (or even write), maybe some of you can relate. “I am a racist”, somebody has to say it. I know racism is bad and rude, but let’s face it, no matter how hard we try to avoid being racist, we still have that tendency. We may not show it, or say it directly to the face of the subject but still we are racists. Ever experience comparing your culture to other cultures and you just can’t help but judge the others? Without us knowing, by the form of our judgments we are already discriminating them in our heads, that’s racism. Sometimes also we compare our physical appearance to them and we point out some differences in our heads, we say they have dark complexion, they have chinky eyes, or they are pale, etc., still that is racism. It’s unavoidable because it is our nature (on my opinion only of course) we grew up with our own form of culture that differ from the others. So yes, I am a racist, I have to say it.
“I am selfish”, somebody has to say it. It is our nature to be selfish. We may avoid it, but honestly, we can’t get away with it. Sometimes when we just got out of a relationship, we keep on telling that we want our ex to be happy, but the truth is, sometimes it is US who wants to be happy. We also want to be their source of happiness; that is selfishness my dear. We want what is best for the others because we know deep inside we can benefit from them if they will meet their satisfactions. We do good things for them because we know in the future, they will return the favor; it’s like a form of investment. I’m sorry but it looks selfish to me. The fact also that we avoid being selfish is already a form of selfishness. Why? Because appearing selfish is bad to the society. Because the society created the notion of the negativity of being selfish. And because you want to appear good to the others, you avoid the “act” of being selfish, without knowing that what you are doing is already selfishness. And one piece of advice: Being selfless will make you unhappy. So yes, I am selfish, I have to say it.
“I am vain”, somebody has to say it. I enjoy looking myself in the mirror. When we get compliments we tend to be shy when deep inside we agree to what they were saying. We know ourselves better, so if someone compliments us, we know better. I am proud of myself, though I may not say it aloud but I am. Whenever I do something great that makes me proud. Whenever we hear someone talking good stuff about us, admit it, we love the feeling and we want to hear more. And that my friend is a form of vanity. Whenever we take a group picture, when they show us the picture, we immediately look for our own faces before looking at the others. We want to make sure that we look good. That is vanity. Whenever we pass by to something that has our reflection in it, we always catch a glimpse of ourselves. Before heading out, we always check ourselves in the mirror. We are vain because we post our selfies on Facebook and Instagram. In fact our profile pictures are photos of ourselves. We could make a photo of a dog as our profile picture but we don’t want to, because deep inside, we may not admit it but we want to show off our faces. That made you smile right? Because you agree, so I am not afraid to say that you are also vain. I am vain, I have to say it.
“I am plastic”, somebody has to say it. We can all be plastic. We can’t help it. Sometimes we are mad at someone but we don’t want him to know. So we still talk to them even though deep inside nonstop curses are happening. We value friendship too much to the point that we become too dishonest. Dishonesty can happen out of fear. We fear of losing our friends so we don’t open up to them when something is wrong with your friendship. We are dishonest with our feelings. We smile, when the truth is we are frowning. Sometimes we say “Take care!” when the truth is we want to scream “I hope you trip!” Sometimes also we become plastic when we are having a crush on someone and then your friend will say she has a crush on that person too, and you are like “Aweee, I hope you two end up together” when the truth is deep inside you are cursing and jealous. I am plastic, I have to say it.
“I am fake”, somebody has to say it. This is a personal one. I am fake because my attitude towards someone depends on who that someone is. So technically I’m not really being myself. I choose who I want to show my true identity with. So most of the time I’m fake, because only a few knows who I really am. I am fake, I have to say it.
These are only examples of the things I cannot say aloud. How about you? Reblog and answer or you can reply. :)
