The University Squad

Season 1, Episode 1:

A New Place, New Faces

ACT I, SCENE I

(We open up on a warm, sunny day in Des Moines, Iowa on a small, white house where we see our first main character: Avery Toller. They were seen packing up their bags of various items such as clothes, shoes, and toiletries. As they were packing, a knock and voice was heard from behind them.)

Voice: "Honey, it's mommy!"

Avery: (sighs and rolls their eyes) "Come in mother."

(The door opens to reveal Mrs. Tolley, Avery's mother carrying a tray of food such as a PB&J Sandwich and Graham Crackers; along with a glass of milk.)

Mrs. Tolley: "Oh sweetie, I made you your favorite meal one last time before you go!"

(Mrs. Tolley shows her offspring the tray, though Avery themselves looks at both her and the tray with unamusement.)

Avery: "I'm not six years old anymore, mother."

Mrs. Tolley: "Oh I know that, but I just can't believe that you're finally going to college tomorrow and I (begins to tear up a bit) just w-w-wanted to make my l-l-l-little sweetheart happy one more time!"

(Mrs. Tolley sets down the food tray and begins to drop to her knees as she starts to weep as well. The noise caused Avery's father, Mr. Tolley to come in and intervene.)

Mr. Tolley: (deadpan) "Way to go son, you got her all crying again."

Avery: (rolls their eyes one more) "Dad I'm not,"

Mr. Tolley: (interrupting them) "Yeah yeah, I know, technically not male anymore. Yadda ya ya." (calms down) "Look son, I'm not use to the whole 'I'm neither a boy or girl trend.'"

(Avery is about to speak again, but Mr. Tolley continues.)

Mr. Tolley: "Yeah yeah, not a trend either, but regardless, I'm not use to it and I might not be. Maybe; just not yet."

(A small pause happens between them before Mr. Tolley speaks again with a slight smile.)

Mr. Tolley: (slighty smiles) "I still love you though, and you're always welcomed back."

Avery: (slighty annoyed face) "Whatever you say dad."

Mr. Tolley: (pats Avery's shoulder) "Outta…kid."

(Mrs. Tolley has just stopped crying and gets herself back up. Even wiping the dirt off herself.)

Mrs. Tolley: (takes a deep breath) "Okay, now that that's done," (smiles big and takes out a camera) "Let's get one more photo as a family!"

Avery: "Mom!"

Mr. Tolley: "Come on kid, for your mother."

(Avery sighs out of defeat)

Avery: "Alright. Can't wait until I'm out of here."

(Our scene transitions to a train station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where a young woman, our second character: Veronica Vonner, was making her way through the train station as she was about ready to hope aboard on a coach with her luggage as her own folks were following her in a hurry.)

Announcer: "Train A on Gate A, about to board in five minutes. Please make sure no personal items or family members, including pets, are left behind. Thank you and have a nice trip."

Veronica: (all excitedly) "Come on, mom and dad, hurry!"

(Veronica finally made it to the coach of her train and was ready to aboard it, along with her luggage. Not before the Conductor stopped her.)

Conductor: "Ticket please, ma'am."

(Veronica felt and searched all through her pockets and out of relief, found her ticket and handed it over to the Conductor. Once that was done, she placed her luggage above the cargo. Later, she saw her parents knocking on her window and she rolled it down; greeting them with a big smile.)

Veronica: "I'm gonna miss you guys so much!"

Mrs. Vonner: "We're gonna miss you too, sweetie! Have fun in New York!"

Mr. Vonner: "Don't forget to call and take pictures!"

Mrs. Vonner: "Oh and say hi to Aunt Gertrude if you can, please!"

Veronica: "I love you so much, bye!"

(With her words now said, the young woman waved goodbye to her parents as the train now took off.)

Mrs. Vonner: (with tears in her eyes) "Well, there's our little girl, now grown up and off to college."

Mr. Vonner: (placing his hand on his wife's shoulder) "We raised her to be a happy and confident girl, now she's going to go spread it while gaining her own set of wings."

(The scene now transitions to Los Angeles, California where our third character: Another young woman named Rita Jones is at the LAX on the phone with her mother and rolling around some luggage with her.)

Rita: "Yeah mom, I just got off the phone with the moving driver, they said it would take about two days until they reach my apartment. Yeah, I'm so lucky that I live five blocks away from the university. Not sure about a roommate yet, but I know living in New York is my first step to Broadway, mom. Okay, I gotta go, terminal is about to open. I love you mom, bye."

(Hanging up, Rita quickly makes her way to boarding her plane while getting out her airline ticket and making her way to her assigned seat.)

Rita: (placing her bag above her) "Thankfully, my bag only contains five main important things for my 2 day motel stay: Clothes, toiletries, supplements and vitamins, electronics, and guidebooks on " 'How to Overcome Stage Fright.' (breathes in and out; sit downs) Alright, I'm all ready to go."

(A stewardess passes by her )

Veronica: "Excuse me madame, do you have any vegan meals or snacks? I can't tolerate any meat and dairy makes me sick."

Stewardess: (impatiently) "Yes, but unfortunately, you're gonna have to wait, just like all the other snobby, little bitches that need certain types of food, all because God forbid, one little piece of cookie triggers you to the point where you have to pull out your little Gen Z iPhone and go on social media to whine and complain, and throw a goddamn fit about it makes you feel so oppress all because of "this conspiracy theory" or "that conspiracy theory," or "the crab people taking over America."

Rita: (flabbergasted) "Y-you know celiac disease is a real thing, right?"

Stewardess: "We have a berry and vegetable salad without the dressing. Can you wait until one hour when everyone's aboard?"

NEW STORY!

Posted a new story! This time, it's a crossover between Miraculous and Super Mario Brothers! The plot is basically similiar to the Miraculous World specials, but instead, features some of our favorite and iconic Mario characters teaming up with our bug and cat duo, and even wielding Miraculous of their own!

The Anniversary (Steven Universe; Ruby x Sapphire)

(Setting: Set during S2 and takes place a month after Message Received.)

It was a peaceful day in Beach City, the home of Steven Universe and The Crystal Gems: Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Peridot. Today, nothing much was going on in the small city except for Steven, Amethyst, and Peridot as the young kid was watching the plump, purple gem and the short, green gem battling it out on one of his favorite video games.

"And the winner is Amethyst!" The game's announcer exclaimed.

"Woohoo, three times in a row!" An excited Amethyst shouted with rave.

"Blast this game!" Peridot croaked with mild annoyance since she lost. Steven chuckled.

"Oh relax, Peridot, it's only just a game. Nothing to freak over about." The happy kid gently smiled. "My turn!" Steven picked up the game controller and looked over at Amethyst.

"One on one," Steven politely asked his gem friend.

"One on one, it is!" Amethyst excitedly agreed.

"Round one, fight!" The video game’s VA announced and the battle began. While the two allies battled it out on the game, Peridot just watched them with an annoyed look on her, which caught Steven's eye.

"What's wrong Peridot," the hybrid asked. "Still salty that you lost?" Steven chuckled, but the green gem rolled her eyes in response.

"No, I'm instead disgusted with the way human technology looks and works compared to Homeworld's." When the cynical gem revealed her answer, the young half-human, half-gem looked disappointed while the immature gem this time rolled her eyes.

"Oh come on," Amethyst groaned. "Seriously, you been here with us for a while now." The purple gem paused the game and stood up.

"Amethyst," concerned Steven. Amethyst just ignored him.

"You've been on Earth for a month now, you began to see and understand why the Crystal Gems came to me; and you even called out your now ex-leader; and yet you're still not pleased?!" The short, purple Crystal Gem ranted to her short, green counterpart who just rolled her eyes before she continued.

"No, that's not yet," Steven sighed in relief, but it wasn't over yet. Peridot walked over to the game's cover and picked it up bitterly.

"It's just how is this technology way much different than all the other technology that you have shown me since my time on Earth?" Seeing her question now, Steven tried his hardest to respond to his little, green friend.

“Well, uh it’s a video game?” That was the only answer the half gem child could say, but just vaguely. Once more, Peridot was just annoyed and scoffed at him.

“I meant,” The genius gem started to debate with Steven by first walking up to the video game’s cover, and picking it up. “Like how are the designs and graphics considered, as you guys put it, “hip and new?” Peridot grunted as she pointed to one of the game’s quoted reviews on the cover. Now understanding what she meant, Steven and even Amethyst felt completely confident to finally answer her question.

“Oh, well that’s pretty simple.” Steven began to teach his little green friend the world of video games and its technology.

Later on, Amethyst and Peridot were sitting in desks as the plus-size, purple gem had a big grin spread all over her face, while her slim, but short green counterpart looked more irritated than usual as if she thought if any of this was going anywhere. Steven himself was now dressed in a white, buttoned-up polo shirt with glasses and black pants, along with brown, steel toe shoes. Basically, he looked almost like a teacher.

“Alright, class is now in session students!” The kid laughed while Amethyst still kept grinning, but only Peridot could keep rolling her eyes in displeasure.

“Just get on with it.” The green gem’s impatience spared, but Steven wasn’t too bugged by it.

“Ahem, now then.” The hybrid offspring got out a chalkboard as he began to teach and write down the origins of video games. “Video games all started way back in the early 1970s, most noticeably with Pong back in 1972.” Steven began his lecture while he wrote down information on his chalkboard. “However, much earlier examples include Space War in 1962, Tennis for Two in 1958, and even a tic-tac-toe inspired one back in 1952.” The donut-loving kid teacher explained with big confidence.

“Eventually, both the popularity of Pong as well as the increase of video games led to the video game crash of 198-”

“Boring!” Peridot finally couldn’t take it anymore and led out her frustration. Steven began to feel concern.

“What, what did I-” Amethyst came to his defense.

“Oh come on, what was that all about?” asked the purple companion with her own exasperation. “He was doing a good job. You couldn’t be patient for one minute?” Peridot scoffed.

“Says the pot.” She then went back to Steven. “I’m not here to hear the origins of Ping or whatever you call it, I want to know why on gem colonization is Earth's technology more advanced looking and well used compared to Homeworld’s technology!” All Steven and Amethyst could do was raise an eyebrow and share a glance with one another.

“What are you talking about?” That’s all the purple one could say; which only led Peridot to facepalm.

“I meant compared to Homeworld, what makes the technology on Earth more reliable and useful?” The little green gem began to rant.

“Sure in Homeworld, we have space travel, teleportation, stuff you’ve seen in those moving picture thingies.”

“Movies,” Steven corrected her.

“Right, but it doesn’t matter.” Peridot concluded her speech now. “The technology we have on Homeworld, while useful and much more advanced, it’s not that comparable when it comes to Earth’s!” Even after they tried to understand her side of the story, neither Steven or Amethyst were still able to understand their green friend.

“Uh yeah, still not understanding dude.” That was all the purple one could say.

“Oh for Gem’s sake,” Peridot finally reached her breaking point.

“I meant like even though the technology on Homeworld has been known to be very advanced due to the creations we made, it’s either all old, unoriginal, and very archaic!” The green one at last revealed her frustration.

“It’s much less superior than the stuff we left on Earth, but compared to over the 5,000 years when our planet began, both Earth’s and Homeworld’s technology can be seen as pretty new and original than Ruby and Sapphire first getting together and becoming Garnet!” Once Peridot concluded her rant, the last sentence struck Steven as if a lightning bolt hit him.

“Wait,” gasped Steven. “So Ruby and Sapphire have been together for that long?!”

“Uh yeah, so?” This statement made the child gasp again.

“Then, that means,” the hybrid finally began to panic.

“They probably never once had an anniversary!” Steven looked over at Amethyst and grabbed her hand as he began to drag her out of the house.

Outside of the temple, Pearl and Garnet have just finished their latest mission, which was to collect as many crystal rocks to summarize what has Homeworld been up to lately knowing at any time, they can attack them.

“Phew, if I saw one more white zircon or another aqua variscite, I was gonna lose it!” Pearl chuckled at her partner, whom just replied in a stoic way as always.

“Right,”

“Garnet, Garnet!” Steven started to cry out for his mentor.

“Steven?” Pearl replied, concerned. The two Crystal Gems then spotted the young hybrid with the plump purple gem who looked all annoyed now.

“Hey, what gives Steven?” Amethyst finally asked, all irritated. The hybrid kid just ignored her.

“Garnet, there you are!” Steven cheered, but Pearl, feeling anxious due to his calling, talked to him instead.

“Steven, are you okay? Are you hurt?!”

“I’m fine, Pearl, but I need Garnet.” The hybrid briefly paused. “In fact, I need Ruby and Sapphire to be exact.”

“What,” both the strong gem and the slender gem asked all confused.

“I do, it’s a very important question!” The young kid kept chirping. The two other gems just looked at their purple ally, who only shrugged back.

“Steven,” Garnet began. “Whatever you have to ask, you can always say it to me. You know that, right?”

“Okay then,” Steven grinned excitedly. “How come Ruby and Sapphire never had an anniversary?”

“WHAT?!” shrieked Pearl, but Garnet just told her to calm down.

“I got this,” the dark red leader looked down at her student. “Steven, Ruby and Sapphire never once had an anniversary because it’s just like birthdays, they don’t need one in the end.” Steven began to argue.

“I understand that, but romantic anniversaries are much more important than birthdays!”

“Steven,” Pearl tried to explain, but the hybrid child couldn’t contain his eagerness.

“They symbolize love, memories, the important person in your life!”

“Yeah, so do birthdays.” Amethyst rolled her eyes.

“But that’s not important,” Steven glued his eyes towards the dark red mentor of his once more. “Oh please Garnet,” the child began to beg. “You have to have Ruby and Sapphire celebrate an anniversary! Steven listed off a few examples. “It will help them remember the good times, it will strengthen their bond!” He then paused for a second. “Not to mention, I’ll do most of the organizing!” Garnet briefly froze.

“You’ll do most of the organizing?” She stoically asked. The apprentice nodded.

“Ruby and Sapphire won’t have to worry about a thing,” Steven flashed a big grin. “In fact, I’ll even be their chauffeur!” After the child gave out his valid reasons, he, along with Pearl and Amethyst, waited for an answer from their leader. A few seconds later, a hand was placed on Steven’s shoulder.

“We’ll discuss plans tomorrow; right now, get a goodnight sleep; chauffeur.” Garnet answered with a wink.

The Queen Bee and the Vesperia Chapter 2 (Second Preview)

(First Preview)

Meanwhile, at a school called College Francoise Dupont, a bespectacled girl with red hair wearing a purple sweater vest and teal-blue skirt was waiting anxiously outside the school, holding two cups of coffee.

“Oh, I hope she’s not running late!” The girl started to panic, to the point where she almost dropped the coffees. Meanwhile, two other girls, a girl with blue-black pigtails and another redhead with glasses were viewing the anxious girl from a distance. The redhead shook her head and smirked.

“That girl really loves devoting her life to Chloe, huh?” The redhead asked her pigtailed partner in crime, who just argued back.

“It’s not like that Alya,” The second girl defended. “Chloe may kind of be a jerk, but she’s not all that bad.”

“I know that, I never said that precisely.” Alya debated humorously. “I’m just saying that devoting your life to one person all through your life is pretty unhealthy.” The pigtailed girl smirked back. “Aren’t you the same girl that helps me with Adrien?” The two share a laugh.

“Yeah well, but that’s gotten better the more you’ve gotten to know him thanks to Nino and I.”

“Fair point.” The two girls shared another chuckle and decided to walk over to the girl; who replied to them all sweetly.

“Oh, hi Marinette and Alya.”

“Hi Sabrina,” Marinette answered. She pointed at the coffee cups. “We see that you’re waiting for Chloe again.” Sabrina blushed.

“Oh yeah, always am.” She responded with a smile. “You know, she has gotten better ever since Ladybug saved her mother when she was akumatized that one time.” Hearing the sentence made Alya grin big while Marinette flushed a bit in her face.

“Oh really?” The pigtailed one asked all awkwardly. Alya then came to her defense.

“Don’t worry Sabrina, we’re aware that Chloe isn’t all that bad. Bossy and arrogant, sure; but not evil or malicious.” Sabrina nodded in agreement.

Speaking of Chloe herself, she was just about ready to pull up to the front of the school in her limousine while she was adjusting her sunglasses and drinking a sip of her morning water to help keep herself hydrated for the day. The limo reached its endpoint as the rich blonde got herself ready.

“Not bad Ludwig, but next time, maybe pull in a little wider. I need the school to know that my arrival is important!” She then handed him over a 20 dollar bill.

“Here, a 20 dollar tip. Thank my mother for it, coming from New York and all.” The rich girl then unbuckled and smiled as she blew a kiss to her driver and told him that she loved him as well. When the blonde got out of her vehicle, Sabrina grinned and cheered all the way to greet her.

“Chloe, there you are!” The redhead coffee holder chipred. Chloe just glared at her.

“Uh, who are you again?” The redhead’s expression went to worry.

“Kidding!” The blonde revealed her joking side and the two friends cheered and greeted each other. Sabrina then handed her the coffee.

“Did you remember to write down the plans for this weekend?” The blonde asked as she slipped her coffee. Just as Sabrina was going over them, the redhead bestie brought up something that sparked Chloe’s interest the most:

“Oh, and your mother’s fashion show this Saturday!” Sabrina revealed.

“That’s the one,” Chloe chirped and pointed at the planner. "Highlight it." The redhead obeyed. The rich girl then pulled out a small, folded piece of paper from her bag; which released a confident smile out of her.

"That's why I brought five hundred of these last week." She then unfolded it to reveal a well-designed poster of her mother's fashion show being adverstied as" Audrey Bourgeois's Haunt-Coutre! This Saturday from 10AM-5PM at the Le Grande Hotel."

"Wow Chloe, it's looks gorgeous!" Sabrina said all astonished as she reached out for it, but the spoiled, yet kind one pulled away.

"Careful, I don't need it dirty!" Chloe calmed down. "Sorry Sabrina, it's just that this fashion show means the world to my mom, that I, that I." The blonde felt a burn of insecurity in her that she had to stop herself and take a deep breath.

"Point being is," Chloe contiuned. "My mom has been really looking foward to this fashion show all week and I just can't disappoint her." The daughter of the fashion designer revealed. Sabrina then followed along.

"And it's also on the same day as your birthday?" Hearing that sentence made the blonde girl spit out of her drink.

"Huh?! Gimme that!" The blonde took the planner and was indeed shocked that the fashion show was indeed on the same day as her birthday.

Introverted and The Risk of FemHawk!

Hi y'all, I'm back with two new writings! One is the second chapter to my original story, Introverted available on my Wattpad and the other is my all new Miraculous story: The Rise of FemHawk! Availale on my AO3!

Plot to both stories:

Introverted is about a young woman who learns to break out of her shell and expand her social skills while The Rise of FemHawk is an AU to S4 of Miraculous where Chloe gains the Butterfly Miraculous, but may end up having more trouble with it than she should.

Time/Setting-Modern Day Fairy Tale/Modern Day High School

Act I, Scene I

(Scene I. A fairy tale book appears and it reveals itself as a pop up book. We are introduced to a castle-shaped school titled "Fairy Tale High." Then, THE NARRATOR starts speaking.)

The Narrator: Once upon a time, there were fairy tale stories that became popular throughout the years they were introduced. Whether they were used as bedtime stories to children or cinema successes for families, fairy tales became a popular genre for people everywhere around the world. Until one day, when all the famous fairy tale writers such as the Brothers Grimm, Charles Perrault, and Hans Christian Andersen all found themselves wondering "What if, all of our fairy tales went to school together?" As in, "What if the children of tomorrow made their own spin on their stories?" Maybe, they could be superheroes or horror detectives, or maybe, they could go to school together! And thus, the iconic authors put their stories together as one big collection book, and whoever came across it, would make their own fairytale story! As time went by, public domain happened, and so our very own fairy tale characters became different people in different stories. And now, the trend contiunes with the one and only: Princess Hierarchy!

(The book then gets zoomed in as we now transfer to the play's setting: Fairy Tale High where various and iconic fairy tale characters such as Puss n Boots, The Big Bad Wolf, The Fairy Godmother, and others as teenagers adjusting to the new story they're in. We then zoom into the school's building where more characters were seen as they were chatting, being on their smartphones, having a coffee or two, among other teenage behavior they displayed. Finally, we reach our last location: Association Student Body or the ASB Club where SNOW WHITE, the club's president was writing down a few notes for today's meeting. Helping her was also some little blue and yellow birds.)

Snow White: Alright so, 12:30 PM is our Lunch Meeting to discuss Homecoming Week, Back to School Night, and Class Election. Friday at 3:00 PM is the Save the Dwarfs meeting, then Monday shall be New Students week to make up for pictures

(A blue bird gives her a latte in a bag)

How many times do I have to say that I'm allergic to soy?! (throws her cup down) Get out of here, (swats her hands at them) go! You disgust me!

(SNOW WHITE continues writing down her meeting notes. Then a knock is heard. From here on out, SNOW WHITE IS NOW REFERRED TO AS SNOW)

Voice: Snow?

Snow: Yes, yes, come in.

(Enter CINDERELLA and SLEEPING BEAUTY, SNOW's "friends" to say the least.)

Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty: (excitedly) Snow!

Snow: (squees) My girls! My queens! My princesses!

(All three run up to each other and greet each other by mimicing a kiss on the cheek.)

Cinderella: How was your summer?

Snow: I went to the Bahamas!

(They all squee again)

Cinderella: Any cute guys that you met?

Snow: Pfft, do I even need to ask?

(They all share a laugh)

Snow: What did you girls do?

Cinderella: (sadly) Prince Dean and I broke up.

Snow: Oh darling, I'm so sorry.

Cinderella: Yeah, but he was also such a creep. I mean, all he ever liked was my feet and my older step-sister.

Sleeping Beauty: I guess he likes ugly feet?

(SNOW and CINDERELLA gasp)

Snow: Sleeps, you are like so unprofessional! You're a princess, be better than that!

The Wish Chapter 1 Preview

Hey everyone, this post is a preview to my upcoming story titled The Wish. Kinda inspired by my own life, it's about a high schooler, stressed out with her family and school both, wishes that she never existed. Unfortuntately, the wish comes true and now, she must not only get her life back, but also learn to appreciate the small stuff.

"There, my schedule for tomorrow is complete." I said in relief as I sat in my desk in my room on a Wednesday Night, waiting for the day to completely end, so I can finally start a new one. My school counselor suggested to me that I should start scheduling my tasks, so I can balance both my school and home life since I tend to be really busy with classes, fencing, and babysitting. Basically, the typical responsibilities almost every seventeen-year-old would have when they're almost done with high school.The truth is, I didn't always like doing these tasks. In fact, I only do them so I can prove myself to them. Them as in my folks; also known as my parents.

You see, my parents are very busy when it comes to their jobs. My mother, Barbara works late as a nurse while my father, Jonathan is a graveyard worker at the hotel downtown. So my siblings and I don't tend to see them often; especially my younger ones: Harold, Bethany or "Betty" as she preferred, and Wilbur. Futhermore, my two older siblings, Wendy and Steven, who are college students, are usually the ones in charge; despite their busy hours of studying. I guess they got use to it so much that they even began to act like Mom and Dad themselves. My oldest sister, Wendy at twenty-three last week had me clean the kitchen from head to toe and whenever I missed a pot or did something wrong, she would snap at me and tell me to do it again. In fact, she would complain about how "that's not how Mom would want it done!" I can still hear her obnoxious shriek in my ears.

Just as I was about to shut off the light and hit the hay, a knock was heard. I groaned to myself and told them to come in.

"Hello baby sister," Wendy greeted me in the most fake loving tone ever.

"Even the deadliest of all killers could fake that." She ignored my sarcasm.

"I know you don't like being bothered, especially this late at night," she continuned.

"It's only two hours and fifty three minutes until midnight, but talk." Wendy rolled her eyes at my deadpan remark. "Anyways, there's been a state of emergency at the hospital tonight. Mom's gonna be busy for the next two nights, and Dad's most likely gonna sleep in. So be prepared, sis. You might have to set up to watch the little ones longer than expected."

"WHAT?!" I began to freak out and flip through my agenda. "But that totally messes up my schedule!" I tried to show her.

Happy New Year 2024!

Hello to all of my followers, I wanna first say Happy New Year to you all!

I know I'm a few days late, but that's mainly because I was on hiatus for about a month.

However, I'm now back and I'm ready to show 2024 what I got in my bag!

As of now, I'm still currently working some Miraculous fanfics I plan to post on my @pro-bee-sisters blog (Mainly those related to Chloe & Zoe such as The Queen Bee and the Vesperia, The Lost Miraculous among others) and I'd been diving into more original content as well. In fact, tonight I will not only post one, but two sneak previews on two stories I'm currently working on: A play called Princess Hierarchy and a series titled The University Squad. Both will posted on my dA: Muggle-Gem-Princess and my Wattpad: LovePrincessGem

I really do hope that for 2024, I plan to write as much as possible and hopefully share all of my works with you all~

From the Bottom of My Asylum Heart Act I Preview

Hi everyone, so this a preview to one of my upcoming original plays: From the Bottom of My Asylum Heart. This play is about a young girl, living in the Victorian Era, whom after believing she is the cause of her mother's death, believes that she is mentally ill and thus, checks herself into an asylum, hence the title.

Before I post the preview for Act I, I do want to apologize if anything I say is historically inaccurate. I'd been writing this play since I was in high school, so please feel free to leave feedback. <3

ACT I takes place at the Sebastian mansion in the living room, dining room, and upstairs. One scene takes place at five o'clock in the morning and the next takes place at night since it's a party the Sebastians are having.

ACT II is set three days after the events of the party. Scene is mostly in Maddie's room.

ACT III is at the asylum.

Time/Setting-Victorian England, during the 1820s.

Act I, Scene I

(Scene I. In a mansion during the times of Victorian England. It is raining, thundering, and lightning at five o'clock in the morning. in the morning. Inside, JAMES SEBASTIAN,the ruler of the mansion is in the living room sitting on a chair as he is reading from a journal that has the name, EMILY SEBASTIAN written on it. In fact, the journal's whole title is called "EMILY SEBASTIAN'S TALES.")

James Sebastian: (reading from the journal) On this day, March 27, 1808, my beloved Madeline Sebastian has been born. My one and only daughter, my one child, my dearest child. I shall forever love you (brief pause) until the day I die.

(James then closes the journal and signs deeply as he sets the journal down on the nightstand.)

James: If only that day was later on instead of sooner.

(Enter CHRISTOPHER KAINE, the mansion's butler.)

Christopher Kaine: Today is the day, isn't it sir?

James: Tomorrow, Christopher. Tomorrow.

Christopher: (pours tea into James's cup) Today, tomorrow, next year, you are going to have to tell her either way, sir.

James: (picks up his tea and sips it softly) I am aware, Christopher. The only problem is how do I explain to my own daughter, who is only eleven turning twelve in just a few more hours from now, that twelve years ago after her mother died due to a horrific disease and she left her nothing but a journal behind? (slams down his fist on the chair's arm) It just frustrates me!

Christopher: (puts down his teapot) Relax, sir. I know it is frustrating to explain to Madeline what happened to Emily; but we must do something about it or it will be too late.

James: (seething) You don't need to remind me, Christopher!(sighs) Just put yourself in my shoes for a minute and try to analyze how I feel about this conflict right now. (rises up from his seat and pushes Christopher towards it) Here, sit in my seat and tell me how does it feel?

Christopher: Sir, sitting in your seat will not do anything for me about this problem.

James: That's right, because you don't understand, Christopher!(pinches the bridge of his nose) Excuse my temper, but you just don't understand, now do you?

Christopher: Of course I do. Twelve years ago, you lost your wife.

James: And twelve years ago, Maddie lost her mother and she believes it's her own fault!

Christopher: (surprised) James sir! You mean she is...

James: (sighs deeply) Yes, Christopher. As much as I want to lie or even forget about it, Madeline still believes it's her fault that Emily is dead; even after all of these years. She still won't let it go, no matter how much I, Lewis and David, her doctor try to help her. Nothing works anymore. But despite all this, I believe there is still hope for not only us, but for her as well.

Christopher: (concerned) Sir, are you sure about this?

James: (snaps at him quickly) Of course, I'm sure about this! I'm her father after all! (speaks calmly again as he begins to pace back and forth) Of course, her next appointment with Dr. Lee will be here until her party starts of course.

Christopher: And this means what exactly, sir?

James: Christopher, my dear man. Don't you know? Dr. Lee always knows the answer to all of our problems, no matter what. (grins brightly) In fact, he already understands Maddie more than any of us have throughout these years.

Christopher: (confused) But sir, how will this work out?

James: (walks over to Christopher and puts his hand on his shoulder) My dear Christopher, Dr. Lee is a specialist in the mentally insane.

Christopher: (offended) Sir, how dare you say that about Young Maddie!

James: (quiets him down as he grits his teeth) I don't mean like that! (takes a deep breath) What I mean is, think about it: It has been twelve years since Emily's tragic passing, and in those twelve years, Madeline hasn't moved on. Even if she doesn't show it, I know deep down what she is suffering from.

Christopher: (gasps) Sir, you don't mean...

James:(nods his head) As much as I hate to explain it, Maddie, my own daughter might be mentally ill with a horrendous disease called melancholia.

Christopher: (trembling) James sir, there's no way you can...

James: What, tell her? Of course I won't. (pause) Not just yet.

Christopher: Not yet!

James: I'm her father, I can't just hide the truth from her!

Christopher: But she'll be horrified to learn that term! Especially from her own father!

James: Be that as it may, somebody has to help us. Somebody has to help us realize that Maddie may be insane, might be upset, most likely is suffering from melancholy. I pray to God that Dr. Lee will help us understand more of this disease, and that my beloved daughter will not be alone on this journey if he will diagnose her with it. I'm very sure that she will be informed, "Maddie, you have melancholia. It's where you suffer from external sadness. Due to the twelve-year anniversary of your mother's death coming up, you most likely have this disease; this illness, this thing that makes you upset even when you don't want to be. It's not your fault, but with the help of your family and I, we can help you make it through."

Christopher: Sir, this feels like a difficult challenge.

James: Difficult, what's diffcult is that my daughter is turning twelve in less than three hours, and I'm in a crisis not knowing when or how to tell her she is most likely insane; suffering from the worst possible thing ever. And you, Christopher, are making it harder for me to think what to do about it!

(A knock on the mansion's door is heard, followed by a voice.)

Voice: James, Christopher, somebody.

James: (astonished) By George, it's Lewis and David! Let them in, Christopher, let them in at once!

Christopher: Yes sir, on it sir.

Hey y'all

First off, I wanna say thank you so much to those who voted on my Miraculous/Mortal Kombat poll! The results are in, and it looks like I will definitely be making it!

I immediately regret using this GIF, but I needed something to fit the topic, LOL.

Secondly, the title of the story will be called "Chloé Kombat."

Here's what I have in mind for the plot:

Basically, post Revolution. Chloé is now in New York with her mom, but once again, Shao Kahn has invaded Earthrealm, and even the United Heroez can't stop him. Meanwhile, Chloé ends up running away from Audrey, and once she sees that Shao Kahn and his allies are 10x worse than Monarch was, she becomes horrified, either Liu Kang and Kitana or Sonya and Johnny adopt her as their own daughter because once she tells them her own story when she was Queen Bee and how she was manipulated by Monarch and Lila both while also being disowned by Andre, they take pity on her and begin to train her as a Protector of Earthrealm instead.

(Yes, I did copy and paste this from my main blog LOL)

However, here's the problem: Because Mortal Kombat 1 was recently released, we once again have a new timeline that is different from the past two; thus I kinda want to either choose 1 of the timelines from each game or take some certain plot points from all 3 timelines, and add them to my story.
