i also love that the entire team routinely purposely riles eliot up just to see the difference between him being mad at them vs him being mad

I made a bird enrichment Bingo card as an alternative fun way to ensure the birds are getting regular new fun enrichment!
feel free to take it for your own birds, challenge yourself and have fun!
The goal isn't to necessarily get a bingo as fast as possible since you want enrichment to last throughout the week but it can be a fun tool to remind yourself to switch things up and jumpstart your brain in to thinking of something new and fun for the day! Try to aim for a bingo a week perhaps!

Whenever i play Legend of Zelda (botw or Totk) i have a simple checklist of things i want to do, however these aren’t typical “complete the game” things, rather they’re things i do for Link. To me, Link is a creature, and someone has to look after him, so here is my checklist
Social- Link should interact with someone i consider to be his friend, this can be any of the sages or people he helped with the divine beasts, it can be beedle, Purah, Paya, Impa etc. Link just has to talk to someone and hang out next to them for a bit
Murder- to keep Link active he needs to kill a few monsters, typically when travelling, if Link sees a monster worth taking on, then i have him fight it (unless it’s too scary, we leave big scaries alone)
Horsie time- i have Link hang out with one of his horsies (usually it’s Epona cos they’re besties but i have many horsies). He feeds them an apple, rides them for a significant amount of time (sometimes completing “murder” and “social” along the way) and of course many pats for the horsie because they always do such a good job
Dragon time (totk only)- Link sits on a dragon for a full dragon cycle (The dragons have a set path, Link stays on the dragon until the dragon gets back to the point Link got on the dragon). This time is relaxing, good for farming and also sight seeing
Relax- i take Link to the hot springs or get him a spa treatment, he’s very babie so he needs time to relax
eat a good food- i have Link cook something i’d wanna eat irl and let Link eat it (usually it involves cheese. i love cheese, like a little mouse. squeak)
fashion- Link should buy or find new outfits always, then try on different combinations to find the best one
shopping- Link needs to stock up on supplies so we do a lot of shopping (usually completed at the same time as social or even horsie time if we meet travelling traders along the way)
gremlin time- this is usually towards the end of the session when i’ve been looking at the screen too long. i have Link act in peculiar ways around NPCs (like crouching near them, walking around them in circles, talking to them from on the tables, aiming weapons at them, jumping about and so on)
Somehow progress is made this way, I have excellent gear and could go fight Gannon if i wanted (the rest of the main story is 100% done, i just can’t be asked to go fight crispy bacon sexy man rn)
to me, botw and totk are just games where you can play as a silly little guy and have him do silly things, occasionally he can be serious, as a treat. But my Link? he’s a creature, he needs enrichment and those are the activities he needs 😌
remember to keep your Link hydrated and well fed as well as entertained.
(this is a good routine for irl too, but you have to leave out the murdering part unless you see a monster in which case probably you should run but you can try kill it if you want)
Thank you
