Excellent news! The novelization of the Fantasy Heroine youtube shorts series is out, and it's good! $3 for the pre-ordered ebook would have been well worth it just for Leo's POV. I mean, look at him refusing the Only One Bed scenario the author is trying to force her heroine into:

But there's so much more! There's Caroline's life, and the things that drive her to write the way she does! There's absolutely all of the characters refusing to act like two-dimensional fictional characters who only care about the superficial physical attractiveness of whoever they're supposed to be shipped with!! And instead finding partners who actually have compatible values and life goals!!!

And it's *also* still a fun silly fantasy romance adventure!

I am OBSESSED with this series from writer Jill Bearup. I’m going to read all her books, but does anyone know of any other authors that write fantasy novels where the protagonist is a woman in her thirties?

I can think of a few T. Kingfisher novels, Deborah Harkness’s All Souls series… but that’s it. There has to be more.

Alright, this is... probably a little weird, but I've gotten desperate. I need help finding a thing, but it's not a fanfic or anything really fandom related.

A while ago (my brain doesn't keep track of time well but it's sometime in the last two years?) I was recommended a series on YouTube about a woman who was writing a book and she acted out herself as the author and also her female heroine. The author was constantly trying to set up tropes and cliches but the heroine hardly ever listened to the author, constantly finding things ridiculous and choosing to do her own thing. It had the best friend trope, and also the enemies to lovers trope. In fact, she ended up marrying her enemy, but it started purely for political reasons, despite the authors best attempts at cliches.

It was really funny and I wanted to rewatch the whole series but I cannot find the darn thing and I'm hoping someone else knows what I'm talking about. The whole playlist is like an hour long or so and I've spent over an hour searching but because I can't remember what it was called, I can't find it 🥺

Someone help me. Please. It was so good.
