Femme Fatale Guide: Small Ways To Elevate Your Life
Fashion & Beauty:
Wear coordinated lingerie (bra and underwear) under your outfit daily
Keep at least one pair of shapewear/sculpting underwear in your closet to streamline your look under form-fitting clothes
Invest in high-quality socks and hosiery (I love everything from HUE!)
Curate a collection of basics tanks, tees, and long-sleeves that pair well with each type of jeans/trousers/skirt/outerwear option you wear on repeat throughout the week/month
Invest in a timeless black boot (one short and one tall or mid-calf), loafer/flat, pump, and white sneaker that pair well with nearly any outfit
Apply products in the order: liquid, cream, then powder (you can top all of them off with a setting spray if desired)
If you're confused about what your YLLB (your lips but better) shade is, try to match it to the darker portion of your nipple
Switch off eyes in between mascara coats when applying more than one coat
Apply lip balm before you start doing your makeup so it can absorb into your lips and ensure your lipstick/gloss/tint doesn't dry out your lips
Health & Wellness:
Get a pill box to house your daily vitamins & supplements; Fill it up on Sunday evening to have all of your supplements in your sight, sorted, and simple to take every day without a second thought
Always take your supplements with food, not coffee, to optimize absorption
Drink a large glass of water within 5-10 minutes of waking up
Invest in beautiful, large salad bowls and/or juice & smoothie glasses to inspire you to eat more salads and greens-filled meals throughout the week
Ensure you're breathing normally/not stressed when eating to avoid excess bloating; Don't use straws when possible if you're prone to trapped gas
Try the diagram breathing technique to calm your nerves when you wake up, when you're trying to sleep, wind down, or anytime you're stressed (Place one hand on the center of your chest and the other in the middle of your stomach right below your rib cage)
Learn how to give yourself a sinus massage and an abdominal self-massage to relieve everyday congestion and pain at home

summer wardrobe essentials⋆.ೃ࿔*:・👙
Tumblr media
summer is right around the corner and im very into fashion so i wanted to talk about some pieces that im going to be looking for and collecting for the summer, color palettes, and everything in between.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i absolutely LOVE summer and fashion so i thought that this would be the perfect post to make. lots of summer content is coming up so i hope u all like it.
WEDGE SANDALS
these are absolutely adorable for the summer and i just think that they're so so cute. the vision with this is not to wear these at the beach, more so to wear it when ur running mini errands or to escalate ur summer look.
i think that these are definitely an acquired taste but if u get it then u get it yk? some wedge sandals that im wanting to buy are from juicy couture (for softer textures) and other more vintage brands for harder ones.
OPEN TOE HEELS OR WEDGES
personally i've seen lots of debate on open-toe heels and whether they're cute or not, and i've heard lots of different opinions about them but i LOVE them cuz i think that they're so so cute.
for summer specifically i love the ones that have straps (not on the leg part but more on the actual foot) but i just think its perfect for the summer and esp if u wanna show off ur pedicure.
COLOR PALETTES ;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
CAMISOLES
camisoles r not only adorable for the spring but also for the summer. the key to these though is length and color. steer clear of colors that are on the darker side and go for colors that pop.
additionally, dont wear clothes that cover too much (unless u want to ofc) look for cute cuts and designs, ALSO shirts or clothing with cute slogans on them are a must for my style in general but also summer wardrobe essentials.
LONG FLOWY SKIRTS
long flowy skirts r absolutely gorgeous in any season i think but esp seasons like summer/spring. something thats rly been catching my eye for spring fashion in particular are skirt LAYERING and alternating between textures and lengths but that truly does depend on how well u can make something work yk?
but for the summer look for flowy skirts with a texture that isnt very thick or heavy bcuz summer gets hot. or if long skirts aren't ur thing then go for shorter lengths.
SLEEVLESS TOPS
sleeveless tops literally SCREAM summer, whether u like tank tops or tube tops, both r perfect for the summer.
SHORTS/SKORTS
shorts for the summer are absolutely perfect and so are skorts. i would've added mini skirts in this category but i've already covered them in the long and flowy skirts section.
SPECIFIC PIECES IM LOOKING FOR ;

10 ways to look good on a budget 💸
before we begin. I just wanna thank y’all for 650 followers 🤍🤍 love y’all so much
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shop at thrift stores and yard sales: Thrift stores offer a wide range of clothes, accessories and even furniture at reduced prices. While you may not always find brand-new items, there is typically a good selection of high-quality items at great prices. Many thrift stores also offer regular discounts or sale days, so it pays to check back frequently for new items and deals. Yard sales are another great place to find bargain items. While they're typically seasonal and require more effort in digging through piles of items, yard sales often offer the most affordable prices.
Wear what you have: The majority of our wardrobes are full of items we rarely wear or have only worn once or twice. Instead of buying new, look through your closet and see what you already have that you may not have worn in a while. Consider creating new outfits with the items you already have, mixing and matching to create a new style. This not only saves money, it reduces waste and helps you make the most of what you already have.
Buy timeless staples: Building a wardrobe of high-quality, versatile items can help you look good on a budget. Look for classic, simple pieces like a white t-shirt, a well-cut pair of jeans, or a classic black dress. Investing in quality items that will last will save you money in the long run, as you'll be wearing them for years to come.
Take care of your clothes: How you treat your clothes can determine how long they last. Always follow the care instructions on the label, and don't be afraid to hand-wash items if necessary. You can help reduce any damage by investing in a good de-piller, and avoiding the dryer whenever possible.
Accessorize: Accessories can elevate any outfit, transforming what was once a simple look into a stylish one. Look for pieces you can mix and match, like a neutral handbag or a set of simple gold studs. Accessories are a great way to add interest to an outfit without breaking the bank.
Shop sales and clearance racks: The end of season sales can be a great way to find bargain items. Look for items that are on sale or marked down, especially at the end of a season when stores are trying to make room for new merchandise. Look in the bargain bins as well. You never know what gem you may find hiding in plain sight.
Join loyalty programs or use coupons: Loyalty programs are a great way to get discounts and earn rewards for your purchases. Look for loyalty programs in your favorite stores, and take advantage of any special offers. Many stores also offer mobile apps with digital coupons, which can save you money on specific items.
Shop for beauty products in drugstores: Drugstores often carry popular beauty brands at more affordable prices compared to department stores or high-end makeup counters. Look for affordable skincare and hair products that cater to your specific needs, and don't be afraid to ask for recommendations from the staff.
Be confident: The most important thing is to always have confidence in yourself. Standing tall, taking care of your appearance, and being proud of who you are can enhance your beauty and make you look your best, even if you're wearing budget-friendly clothes. Take pride in who you are, and don't let others' expectations bring you down.
Have fun with fashion: Fashion should be fun, not stress-inducing. Mix and match your clothes to create your own unique style, and don't be afraid to experiment with new outfits. Experimenting with different styles can help you find what works best for you, and make fashion more enjoyable as well.
Remember, looking good on a budget can be challenging, but it's all about being creative and making the most of what you already have. With these tips and a positive attitude, you'll be sure to look your best without breaking the bank.

Wear your flowy dresses, long skirts, shorter skirts...
You have no idea how many comments I get because I only wear dresses and skirts on the daily (hasn't worn pants for around a year now).
I got a guy who straight up told me "thank you" for wearing such clothing, because you don't see that a lot anymore.
I'll say it again, wear dresses and skirts.

Femme Fatale Guide: Small Ways To Look More Polished (Essential Style & Beauty Tips)
Some simple fashion & beauty tips to help you look more put together to turn heads and feel your best daily. Hope this helps xx
Style:
Always steam, lint roll, and snip any threads from your clothing before heading out the door
Ensure your top, pants/skirt, and outerwear proportions flatter your body shape. Choose cuts, hemlines, and strategically tuck or button (or unbutton) each garment to create lines that flatter your figure
Be mindful of how your pant/skirt/dress hemline aligns with the shaft of your footwear. You don't want any bunching or awkward gaps
Learn which colors are the most flattering on your skin tone (and which shades wash you out)
Study your body shape and the silhouettes that best streamline/elongate your frame
Find the right balance of textures/fabric weight (too many "heavy" fabrics like faux fur, quilting or puffer-style items when styled together can look bulky if not styled carefully)
Invest in a capsule wardrobe and neutral basics made in high-quality fabrics (Pima cotton, cashmere, silk, heavyweight denim, merino wool, etc.)
If an item does not look quite right on your body, tailor it or toss (donate) it out
Make sure all of the hardware matches with all of the jewelry, handbag, watch, cuff or button details, and footwear you choose for any given outfit
Maintain your accessories and footwear. Ensure they're no creases or scuff marks before heading out the door
Beauty:
Always keep your eyebrows well-shaped, brushed, filled in, and regularly tweezed
Tweeze and/or dermaplane your face as needed
Prioritize skincare/SPF for flawless skin
Ensure your foundation/concealer/brow products are all a perfect color match and fully blended into your skin
Use concealer to outline your brows and lip shape for greater definition
Strategically apply bronzer/contour, highlighter, and blush to your face to flatter your natural hollows, and prominent features (top of cheekbones, the tip of the nose, right under the brow), and use a light wash of color where your face would be naturally flushed
Find a flattering lip shade that suits your skin tone and doesn't make your teeth look yellow/dull
Embrace healthy hair habits (condition generously, use a wide-toothed comb and a specialty hair towel on wet hair, use a heat protectant and a round brush for blowouts/styling and satin or silk hair ties/pillowcases, get regular trims)
Use dryer sheets to minimize hair frizz and water or Vaseline to slick back fly-aways
Exfoliate and moisturize religiously (dry brush or sugar scrub with lotions including ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin, depending on your skin type)
Use cuticle oil around your nails & apply hand cream/lip balm daily (or substitute with Vaseline for any of the three)
Maintain a diligent nail routine (consistent nail shape, classic pink, nude, red, or vampy polish color, and a high-quality top coat)

thrift tips (from someone who actually works at a thrift store)
so basically i’ve been working at a thrift store for about 4 months now (a chain one, not value village but similar), but i’ve been a thrifter for years. TRUST MEEE the inside knowledge i’ve gained as an employee has turned my thrifting experiences upside down.
so i’m thinking why not share that info to help y’all thrift better?
what you need to know…
before you go:
the busiest times of year for donations is during season changes (spring to summer, summer to fall, etc) and uni/college move in week. a lot of places don’t take donations during this time of year, but some will. always ask places if they’re accepting donations during these times, because if they are, there will be LOTS of new merchandise on the floor.
the busiest times of the week in a thrift are usually midday/afternoons on weekends (fri/sat/sun) and afternoons/evenings on weekdays. the busiest times of year are around any holidays and back to school season. i strongly avoid doing huge hauls around these times of year. you will be in there FOREVER. basically: the best time to thrift is morning to midday any day of the week, if your schedule allows it.
if you’re looking for a specific style, make a pinterest board or some kind of list for inspiration/comparisons. this can really help you find things you like. be sure to include a desired colour palette to compare! (this isn’t necessary but i know some ppl are looking for specific things lol)
most places roll out donations during the week. over the weekends, things get pretty picked clean.
bring a soft measuring tape for measuring clothing! if you don’t like trying clothes on or the thrift doesn’t allow it, make sure to take your measurements before you leave and write them down. don’t be afraid to measure garments, because if you usually wear an XL in certain brands, not all brands are consistent.
clothing is not washed at thrift stores. we do not have the time for that lol. it comes as is. do what you will with this info and keep that in mind.
BRING YOUR OWN BAGS PLS LMFAOOOOO PLEASE. reusable bags from thrifts are often expensive or sometimes even just fully plastic (which literally defeats the purpose of thrifting out of eco consciousness so…)
wear a mask- not just to protect yourself from germs but also dust! dust is so common in thrifts. your lungs and throat will thank me later.
bring hand sanitizer! it can help get rid of germs and sticky residue on your hands (things just are sticky all the time and it sucks lol)
if you plan on spending a lot of time in the store, definitely carry a water bottle and some snacks. thrifting is tiring. it is so exhausting being pretty and having fun /j
SET A BUDGET!!! it is sooo easy to get carried away in a thrift because the prices are so low. whether your budget is strict or fluid, it is always good to have a budget so you don’t overindulge.
while you’re thrifting…
be mindful of others. do not hoard items or buy things you will never use. some people thrift because they cannot afford to shop at other places.
ALSOOO!! this goes to the skinny babes out there (i’m one of y’all but LISTEN TO ME !!)- LEAVE PLUS SIZED CLOTHING ALONE. if you’re looking for the oversized look, sizing up one or two sizes is fine. but do NOT go taking plus sized clothing away from other people! everyone deserves to find cute clothes at the thrift!
with that said, if you’re capable of wearing adult sizes, pls stop buying kids clothing. i don’t care if it’s trendy to wear teeny tiny shirts, you can find those in the adult sections!! parents need to clothe their kids too </3
do not be afraid to ask for help. the employees are there to assist you if you need it!! however pls don’t ask us “do you have (xyz specific niche product)” because we definitely have no idea what we do and don’t have for sure lmao.
do not be afraid to haggle prices. if a shirt has a stain and you love it but it’s $7 and you have no idea if it’ll come out, ask if they can reduce the price. 9/10 times they do not care and will DEFINITELY drop the price lol.
if you are a student, have coupons, or may qualify for any other discounts remember to ask how to qualify for them! thrifting isn’t just a chance to shop eco friendly and find some amazing and unique finds, but also a good way to save as much money as possible. use those discounts up babe.
if you can, always try things on before buying. sometimes a pair of jeans looks cute on the rack but it might not be what you’re looking for!! it’s always better to be safe than sorry, especially if they don’t do returns.
while checking out…
have your bags on hand!
know which items you have inquires about and either hand them to the cashier first or last! it helps keep you both organized :)
if they collect hangers at the front, remember to give all your hangers to the cashier! if they don’t, ask what to do with your hangers!! just pls do not leave hangers in the cart or in your basket!!!
tell the cashier about any discounts or coupons you may qualify for in order to get the most bang for your buck.
if the store allows returns, ALWAYS GRAB YOUR RECEIPT! actually no even if they don’t take returns, grab your receipt. it helps you know how much you spent on what items and will often tell you how much you saved as well :)
you don’t always need to thrift items you intend to upcycle or resell! it’s okay to allow yourself to buy things you just want as is.
if you’re having trouble deciding if you really should get an item you really want, do it (if your budget allows it). there is only one of every thing (generally) in a thrift.
shopping for off-season items can help you find more gems. if you’re looking for sweaters and coats in the summer, 99% of people won’t be. you’ll be more likely to find better stuff that you get to keep all to yourself.
after you’re done…!
if you thrift often and find that you have a lot of clothing, give back! imagine you have a bowl of fruit. over time, if you keep taking from the fruit bowl, it will become empty. if you want more fruit, you have to refill it, right? donations help keep thrifts in business!
if a thrift allows returns, do not remove any store tags until you’re sure you want to keep the item! just in case it maybe looks different than you thought in different lighting, or maybe doesn’t go with that skirt you wanted to pair it with (for an example lol).
if you intend on reselling, do lots of research on the item you purchased. the other day i thrifted a flute- barely used- and got it for $70 CAD. turns out, it’s worth $830 CAD brand new and about $300 used! (too bad i’m keeping it lol)
if you accidentally purchased something you didn’t really want or can’t return, ask some friends or online groups if anyone would like to take it! if it’s a unique find, someone is bound to love it. and- worst case scenario, you can always resonate it.
final thoughts…!
in the end, these are just tips and tricks i’ve picked up as a thrifter over the years and as i’ve worked at one. some of these things i’ve learned from customers i’ve met or even my friends, and they’ll all helped me thrift more efficiently than i did in the past :)
whether you choose to follow these is up to you! don’t take anything i say too seriously, it’s all just for fun. i wish you luck on your future thrifts! may you find everything on your wish lists <3

Use garment bags! When you do laundry! For sweaters and stuff! Turn them inside out too! Your nice clothes will stay nice sooo much longer!! Also stop using “fabric softener” and “dryer sheets”! Stop it right now!! You are destroying your machine and your clothes! Stop doing that! There are better ways!
Sincerely, a simple well-meaning girly who just loves fabric and textiles and clothing and wants to see them treated well and not destroyed

worlds-silliest-specimen’s genderfluid guide to presentation
aka what i do to feel more masc or fem
masc:
wear mens deodorant (i do old spice cuz im basic but whatevs)
wear sneakers and sweatpants together (my thrifted red jordans and plaid sweatpants r my go to relaxed masc fit)
wear eyeshadow around the edges of my eyes (some black or brown under the eye works wonders)
more of a long term thing but i grow out my body hair!
wear tank tops, tshirts layered over long-sleeves, and rings on my pointer finger and thumb
fem:
put my hair in a high pony (add a claw clip underneath for extra perkiness and bounceability)
wear flared pants
body spray! (mostly i put on body spray just to feel good, i have the bad quality stuff that never lasts)
carry a cute bag
wear blush and lip gloss! (subtle red tinted lip gloss and some blush on the cheekbone/upper cheek is my go to fem look)
