So uh

The Power of the Doctor surely was one of the episodes of all time

Where do I even fucking start

Let's cut to the chase, narratively it was all over the place in a "let's throw everything at the wall to see what sticks" kind of way. The thing is, it was fun. It made no sense but it was still enjoyable. Why was the Master cosplaying Rasputin? Why 1916? What was the point of the Dalek traitor? Why the paintings? Who cares, I'm having the time of my life watching all this shit 7,5/10

Why Tegan and Ace, for that matter? Because it's fun to see them again, that's why. I'll take it. Tegan was especially great. Also Ace wasn't a CEO so bonus points for that

Why was Graham even here

Why the train

Why the Qurunx

Why the uh everything about the Daleks and the Cybermen and no-one getting betrayed or in-fighting in the process

Why do I care

Dan's arc started with him having no money and ends with him having no house. That's kinda bleak for a comic relief companion

I don't know how to feel about Tennant being the Doctor again? It's weird and interesting and I can't wait to see what they do with this, and I find it supremely ironic that the Doctor who was the most terrified of death is the one who will get to die THREE TIMES in this series - but at the same time, I really wanted to see Ncuti Gatwa and I feel like he's been robbed of his thunder, kind of? I don't know, it feels weird

Considering Chibnall's focus isn't usually on character arcs I wasn't expecting Thirteen's ending to have any kind of dramatic irony, but having very low expectations for this specific era was a blessing, because one of the things I desesperately wanted to see was this control freak of a Doctor, who never explains anything to her friends, being forced to rely entirely on her friends, and also completely losing control. And that's exactly what I got here. Yes. Very good

The Qurunx assuming the form of a child because it wants to be protected. The parallels with the Timeless Child. Exquisite

And that bit where she's hit by a deadly energy blast and she's carried back to the TARDIS like this?? Complete inversion of the trope of the Doctor carrying a companion and I loved it

Oh god look at Yaz. Yeah that's right, you can only hold her while she's literally dying! That's the only time she'll be in your arms! And she's DYING!! And then you have to say goodbye!! I'm feeling normal about this

I've already seen quite a few Thasmin fans screaming bloody murder and to be honest I get it but like. I'm also digging how tragic this is

I wasn't asking for a kiss but like. When they were on the TARDIS' roof. I wanted one of them to put her head on the other's shoulder. Was that too much to ask

Pretty fitting that Yaz joins the circle of Recovering Doctor Addicts at the end after that and oh god don't get me started

I have a theory about the bts of Goodbye Volcano High that may be reaching but I may as well get out of my head.

There is this character, a raptor called Alvin, who is the boyfriend of Reed, and shows up briefly in a couple of shots from time to time:

And there is this other character, that was going to be a protagonist but was scrapped at some point during production, a liopleurodon named Leo, who was going to be a close friend to Reed (and we know would have been gay or bi because he was potentially going to end up with Sage).

Both have blue bodies, dark purple hair, violet-grey-ish eyes, long beaks, grey trousers, and are very close to Reed.

Could it be that Alvin is a (very) repurposed Leo? That the basic idea of Leo's design was used for Alvin? Am I desesperate to believe Leo lives on in the game?

Maybe.

Now I understand better why ラファリュ grew in popularity and all and why I am ridiculosly obsessed with it, but still that's such a shame IS didn't manage to make these level of chemistry for more character with Alear and that's really disappointing knowing that not only is it a ship doomed to be underated, but that because it's our traditional "ouups, we did a scamcest" some fans are definitely going to be judged for just liking their dynamic rather then being uncomfortable cause I totally respect not liking it or thinking it has a weird narrative because... it is no matter how you look at it, no one will argue that dating the son of you dad from an universe where your dad isn't your dad isn't weird, but I really think that making a crusade over proving either point is useless and not just because we are talking about pixels and that I personally don't play a video game to ask myself philosophico/moral question, and I personally don't want to have a horse in this discussion even if I am trash forラファリュ cause I don't want to spend my time arguing about a ship just cause I like it and happen to have legitimate reasons to do so especialy when it comes to character entirely fictional so trying to prove that 2 PNG are related is so... silly. IMO the only reason why they are the kids of Xenobron is because the devs didn't had a better idea to make them Fell dragon in a way that is interesting and since they had Nel in love with the other Alear, they also made her a romance for our Avatar (other then the necessity to have the player being able to romance everyone but since they could have mad her platonic like Veyle I guess that's why) and IS seems to be favoring リュエル like they are also infering アルリュ, and i think they made Rafal a romance as well since they already did it for Nel, even if Nel is much more explicit. It's kinda sad that two solid candidate ends up being dragged into that weird wank that exploded 2 month ago, I still remember it, I was here for it and even then people still talk about it. See the Nintendo life interview ? People complaining about losecest commented on the page dedicated to this article even though the devs didn't even mentionned the pact ring with the DLC character nor were asked whether or not Alear is sibling with the twin, they just had to vent under it because this interview was about the DLC, much like how people are so desesperate to prove that it's losecest they have to use Veyle/Nel's support to try to make a point that they are right to be uncomfortable for a ship and you should be ashamed of thinking it's a cute couple. Which make no sense. Granted 2 mont ago I also asked myself the question, but now having cleared a new run, i think it answer itself : the proper game explain that they simply aren't Alear 's sibling because they come from a world where they aren't Alear's sibling. That's literally just it, even if you think it doesn't make logical sense, and you would be right it doesn't make logical sense, but paradox aren't really suppose to make sense!! That's literaly what I ended up understanding when I finally got the time to play a new proper run and unlocked all of the twins's event !! Anyway, I don't see why people pretend to care about their relationship or lack off when we all know it won't stop the shippers nor people who dislike those ships, but I think it's a shame that 2 interesing character with solid ships with Alear have nothing more to talk about then this for some fans *sight* : 3 even more so when there is actual legitimate reason to root for them other then the classical "self insert biais" cause S supporting a character is different then shipping them with the Avatar character.

All the more so when the rest of the cast don't have much chemistry with Alear compared to the one they have with others character and we don't even have paired endings for them

Edit : also, if you are curious, no i have no intention of sharing any ラファリュ ship fanart, at least on this plateform because I don't want people to feel unconfortable and I know that Tumblr's tags can sometimes recomment it unless you block/mute the ship tags

Just so you know, I may spoil some things from One Piece in this post, so beware.

And this is mostly just me, venting about One Piece because I have nothing else to do.

Okay so. I am up to date with One Piece chapters, something I kever thought would happen one day, have been following the updates since I caught up (Still, I am reading Alabasta right now because, I know it's a shame on my part and all but I started to really get into One Piece while my mom was watching the end of Skypiea on the TV, so around Water Seven.

But I always knew who my favourite character was before hand (a certain blond cook-). However, I wasn't prepared to find myself being completely stunned by Law and his story. I have a thing for tragic backstory (almost every character I like has a bad past).

And I don't even know how to explain it, because Sanji made me cry during Whole Cake Island. I am someone who is easily anxious and I may have anxiety but I never did test and well, life happens so I can't really say I HAVE anxiety anyway, and Whole Cake Island was just pure angst until THAT point when Sanji finally saw through his situation. So maybe it can explain why I really like his character because I just felt what he felt and I couldn't understand how he was being hated for something he didn't control and all.

But this isn't about Sanji only. Before Whole Cake Island, Dressrosa happened and, according to me, it was one of the best arc of One Piece.

I'm not saying it IS the best and it's really just my opinion, I cried during Marineford and Wano is really amazing, but to me, Dressrosa did a really good job describing the desesperate situation they were in, all the memories and the past coming back to hit Doflamingo in the face under the name of the Straw Hat captain for Law.

And really, it was amazing. I loved every moment when I read it. And after that, Law became one of my favourite (and my sister and my mother like him a lot too), I even bought a figurine at a convention of him in Wano during the Onigashima Raid.

And my mind has been RACING about everything One Piece related lately (it helps because, as a Bungou Stray Dogs fan, I certainly need some sanity right now before going crazy over each new chapter). Like, I am a writer, and I CRAVE writing One Piece fanfiction. I already wrote a One Shot I offered to my sister and well, I am writing something after the canon events when everything is done and it's about Sanji and Zeff and them just being a wholesome found family. But hell, I have so many ideas and so little at the same time and, I'm not judging people who like it okay, but Moderne Setting is really not my thing so I can't read a lot a fanfictions that could be and are probably amazing.

Anyway, I think I have lost almost everyone reading this at this point and well, thank you for reading my post!

Because I have shit on my heart.

When I was younger, my mom used to tell me that I should Act More Like A Girl, because being a tomboy wasn't pretty, I wasn't a glitterly love like she hoped her daughter would be. But she still encouraged me to do sports, to learn things, to play with boys, however it would have been better if I still showed my girly side.

When i was younger, being a tomboy was the greatest pride I had, because I learned so early that Boys were better than Girls, and I internilized that. I loved when others said that I was not like other girls, that I was not entirely a girl myself, because it meant that I worthed more that my peers.

When I was growing, my mom used to argue with everything about my apearance, beacause I started getting thick and she feared that All The Boys will want me. She insisted that I should hide my curves with large clothes, she told me that I was eating too much, however she still forced me to wear makeup to all family events we went because I should show my girly side.

When I was growing, finding who I was was incredibly hard. I didn't know where I fit but I tried, and everytime I found something I loved, I was so happy. I choose my own clothing and I felt powerful and beautiful with that. No one showed me interrest but I still wanted to fit, I thought being pretty would make me worthy, so I tried to be. I was a girl by my personal way and felt quite proud of that.

When I got older, my mom used to be desesperate about How I Didn't Want To be A Woman because I began to value confort more than prettyness. She criticized every single piece of clothe I had and litteraly begged me to take care of my skin and hair. She compared me to everyone and said that I should be more like them, she made me look at my weight, however she still judged me the time I decide to wear a skirt by myslef, so I said goodbye to my girly side.

When I get older, I stopped paying attention to what people think of me. I wanted to be me and to love me for what I am and not what they would see in me. So I bought large sweaters and started to play sport again. Some kept calling me tomboy, some just called me The Boy, some told me to stay at my place, but I didn't listen to anyone anymore. I valued my own point of view because I was the only one who could tell if I was worthy, so I choose to be.

She made me herself, she gave me her genes, she teached me to be seen,j how could she insult me for that ? I cannot forgive her. I will not.

I awlays tried to love me, but my mom never made me feel loved. I ntried so hard to be proud of who I was and she tried so hard to shape me into who she wanted me to be. She destroyed me, my self-esteem, my self-confidence, my self-love. She shattered me in piece and prevented me to heal. Yet I did. I forced me to. Every time she throw me down I whispered soft words to my heart. And I get up.

She's the reason I find it so hard to be appreciate, she's the reason I am so aggressively positive toward anyone else.

I owe me this love and no one is allowed to break it. And I offer my love to every single person who doesn't have some for themselve, because you all deserves it too.

Unfortunately there is absolutely none of it and I am dying a lil bit more everyday about it :'))

The only one I can recommend is this one which has Akane, Mei, Mitsuba and Hanako in it ^^

(a lot of things is not how I see the characters but tbh at this point idc I am desesperate and this one is really funny on a lot of lil scene (my fav one being Hanako slapping the shit out of Akane to be sure he has a nosebleed))

Here is a bit of an old post so some stuff are outdated but it's still a lot of hcs for the stupid family 👀

Here are some more that are coming into mind:

-The mystery kids act like long time siblings and are being super dramatic about it when they've known each other for like.. 2 months. Making a scene when they have to share food or making schemes to have things asked from the adults. They work together mostly when they all gain something from it.

-Akane is the only one who thinks Mirai is as stupid as her feet, because she never shows her more serious personality in front of him and plays with it a lot. Mitsuba and Hanako now never want to be left alone with her (scadery cats)

-Yako is usually the one who force the adults to have meetings since she is the one controlling space, she has to physically drag Hakubo and Tsuchigomori a lot of time.

-Mitsuba already went to Akane's house for a night and bragged about it for one week. Mei sometimes appear out of nowhere in his house too and he always has heart attacks. Hanako usually sulks when everyone is talking about going to Akane's house.

-Yako is the most defined mystery with Kako but can go absolutely feral when people are on 'her territory'.

-Tsuchigomori is the one cooking sweets and foods to everyone and left them on the meeting tables like it just appeared. He is a terrible liar though so they all know he is the one who did them.

-The mystery kids have a board to count how many stuff Akane breaks when he is annoyed in his supernatural form. The other 4 make bet to see which objects he will break during the days (chairs being a big winner) They have the same counting system for Mitsuba's screams.

And that's all I can come up with for now but I do know I have more ^^ I am always happy to see more people talking about the mysteries :DD

In this post I wrote what the light novel tells about the whole part of King and Diane's wedding on the movie "Cursed by Light" from the beginning. Keep reading if you wanna know what happens.

It all starts with Howzer, Gilthunder, Griamore, Dreyfus and Hendrickson arriving to the Fairy King Forest. Gil and Griamore teases Howzer because he liked Diane in the past, but this one says it's not like that anymore. Matrona receives the five of them and leads them to see Diane.

"On the other hand, we see the Fairy King, the groom who is one half of the main character of the day"

"Lady Diane will be finished with her preparations shortly" - says Gerheade, King's assistant

"We're all set." - Says Gowther

"What about Harlequin?" - Gerheade asks.

"Oh, Gerheade. Just wait a little longer" - says Ban while he points with a hand to King.

King is trying desesperately to choose a hairstyle: "Which hairstyle is the best?"

Ban is looking at him pitifully and sighs: "Your tie is bent"

King hurriedly fixed his tie.

Ban says: "Don't let the Fairy King freak out over a wedding! Just go as usual"

"Marriage is one of the most special things in life! Especially for women! If I do anything wrong, Diane will hate me!" - King says

Elaine: "She won't hate you. Diane loves everything of you she can get, brother"

And due to Elaine's words, King's cheeks flushed and his memories with Diane came to his mind: Their first meet, Their reunion as 7DS and their fights together, Their love confession.

King regained his composure and thanks his sister.

Ban says: "Geez, my big brother is such a pain in the ass "

Narrator: "Ban and Elaine laughs and shares a light kiss celebrating their brother's happiness."

At the same time, the bride Diane, was about to get ready.

Matrona and the Holy Knights arrive, and these ones congratulate her.

Dreyfus:"It's a great honour to be invited to your wedding today. King Baltra congratulates you and presented this gift for both of you"

Diane: "I wish Captain and Elizabeth could come too. It's not good timing, they're just on their honeymoon"

Dreyfus officiates the ceremony: "The FK Harlequin and the Queen of the Giants Diane are to be united in marriage. May the love between these 2, so different in race but so strongly united, endure forever, and may their union strengthen the friendship between fairies and giants"

Dreyfus: "Then, you may kiss".

The bride and groom gets surprised for that request.

Diane: "K-K-Kiss?! In front of so many people?! It's too embarrasing!"

Dreyfus: "W-Well, that's how it generally works..."

Narrator: "Giants and Fairies began to chant in unison: "KISS! KISS! KISS!". Matrona laughs. Diane and King stared at each other for a while, their cheeks flushed, but then King gently put his hand over Diane's mouth and pressed his own lips to her big ones."

There was a round of applause.

"Congratulations, my Queen!"

"Congratulations, Fairy King!"

Elaine: "Brother... Diane... I wish you both the best..."

Frank Longbottom was in love at the age of 15. Or he thought he was. Alice Fortescue was the most beautiful and perfect girl he'd ever met, and she didn't even notice him. Frank couldn't stop looking at her. They have spoken before but everytime, Frank said something stupid or without sense. He got really nervous when she was around.

"Hello? Earth to Frank! Did you hear me?" Edgar asked concerned.

"What?" Frank asked coming out of his thoughts.

"I was saying..." Edgar continued "that we should get dates for Hogsmade this weekend. I've chatted with some gorgeous Ravenclaw twins, and I think they don't have dates"

"Aam... I don't think it is a good idea"

Edgar looked where Frank was looking.

"Because of Alice?" Edgar asked "C'mon mate, you've been drooling for her for months. If you want her so bad, then ask her out"

"I can't. Everytime I am with her, words just don't come out" he stopped "Oh my god, she's coming. Oh no she's coming this way. Don't say anything, shh!... Oh hi Alice"

"Hi Frank" she said. Frank's heart started beating fast. How beautiful his name sounded coming from her lips.

"Hi Alice" Edgar smiled looking from her to his mate.

"Hi Edgar" she turned to Frank "I haven't seen you around. How have you been?"

Frank cheeks went red "I... I been fine... Am good. Heyhowareyou?" his voice sounded like a 13 year old girl.

"Good. It feels like we haven't talked in ages" Alice said smiling.

"He's been busy" Edgar simply said.

"Yeah busy, you know? Work and stuff... It's not like I didn't want to talk to you or anything"

What? Why did he said that?? He laughed nervously.

"Great" said Alice confused "Well can I borrow that book?" She pointed a book on top of the table.

"Yeaah sure... Go for it" Frank said. Go for it? Really?

"Thanks. I'll see you around. Bye Edgar" Frank smiled. Edgar simply gestured goodbye until she left.

"What the fuck was that?" Edgar asked

"I told you I cannot speak to her" he closed eyes in desesperation.

"I'm a fiasco"

"Mate, she clearly fancies you. Just ASK HER OUT" Edgar said pretty convinced

"She probably has a date" said Frank defeated.

"For Gods Sake!! If you don't ask her right now, I will"

"You wouldn't"

Edgar grinned and stood up "Alice!!" he yelled going towards her

"No Bones, Edgar!"

He didn't listen. He started talking to Alice. Frank panicked. He had to do something. Alice couldn't go out his Edgar. She belonged with him. Frank did the only thing that came with him. Frank did the only thing that came into his mind.

"Sonorus" he casted "ALICE FORTESCUE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO ON A HOGSMEADE DATE WITH ME?"

Alice looked at him. In fact every single person at the library looked at him, even Madame Pince. Edgar was smiling. Fucking bastard.

Alice casted Sonorus as well.

"FRANK LONGBOTTOM I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO HOGSMEADE WITH YOU" she said for everyone to hear. She smiled. Frank smiled as well. He was the happiest man alive. She said yes. To his surprise everyone at the library clapped and cheered for them.

PORTUGUÊS: Eu voltei, e voltei com os headcnons sobre ShinArthur pais!!!

Esses headcanons envolvem principalmente um personagem original meu, o nome dele é Keith Kusakabe. Antes de tudo, peço encarecidamente para NÃO USAR O KEITH EM SEUS TRABALHOS, OU ALGUM DESSES HEADCANONS ENVOLVENDO ELE SEM A MINHA PERMISSÃO!! TAMBEM NÃO REPOSTE A IMAGEM DO POST SEM PERMISSÃO! A arte em questão veio diretamente do meu Twitter, se quiser me dar um biscoito lá, você pode.

E bem, sim, Keith é assexual, eu decidi isso porque eu precisava criar um O.C assexual e projetar nele minhas vivencias.

Escolhi ele por puro favoritismo que tenho com ele por ser o meu bebe ShinArthur, e que eu amo MUITO!! Durante essa epoca horrivel da pandemia do covid-19, eu fiquei meio "presa" nesses headcanons envolvendo o Keith, já que eu o criei perto do final de 2019 e tudo mais. Fire Force me ajuda a lidar com meus problemas desde 2018, eu me apeguei muito a obra e a ShinArthur por conta disso. Durante a pandemia, foi Fire Force que não me deixou perder o controle, eu sou Brasileira, e dado ao estado do meu país foi dificil não perder o controle. Eu tenho uma relação afetiva com a obra do Ohkubo-sensei muito grande e está sendo importante compartilhar isso com alguem fora da minha bolha!!!

HORA DOS HEADCANONS!!

1- Keith foi encontrado abandonado no meio de um incêndio nas instalações de Haijima, com diversos infernais. Foi o Shinra quem o encontrou chorando debaixo de alguns escombros, ele teve a sensação de que pode ouvir o choro do bebe através do Adolla Link. Shinra pode sentir que o bebe deveria ser dele e de Arthur, mas ele tinha medo de que se tivesse um filho, a criança sofresse a mesma exclusão que ele sofreu.

2- Arthur quem insistiu para que eles adotassem Keith, em partes porquê o bebe só parava de chorar se tivesse no colo de um dos dois, mas também porquê ele se viu na situação em que o Keith estava. Arthur havia sido abandonado também, e não poderia fazer com aquele bebe o mesmo que haviam feito com ele.

(E também porquê ele e Shinra cuidaram do bebê por uns dias antes da decisão, e Arthur ficou extremamente encantado com a visão de Shinra dormindo na cama junto do bebe. Esse foi o motivo principal)

3- Arthur escolheu o nome Keith para o bebê, já que Keith significa "floresta dos ventos" ou "lugar ventoso" , o primeiro significado fisgou o Arthur por conta do primeiro kanji do nome do Shinra que também significa "floresta". Arthur achou perfeito, já que Keith o lembrava de Shinra de forma quase sobrenatural, apesar dos olhos azuis.

4- Shinra foi quem se apegou ao Keith mais rápido, apesar do medo que ele tinha de ser pai por conta de seu passado. Cuidar do bebe acabou o lembrando de Sho, quando ele era bebe e deixou Shinra extremamente nostálgico, mas também deu para ele uma vontade muito grande de ter uma família com Arthur.

5- Shinra já se desesperou a ponto de começar a chorar porquê o Keith teve febre, e ele tava sozinho em casa com ele e nada do Arthur voltar da farmácia com o remédio.

6- Shinra fez o primeiro aniversário do Keith com tema de super herói, e o Arthur ficou triste porquê o Shinra não deixou ele vestir o Keith de bebe cavaleiro, mas ele ficou muito mais feliz porquê o Keith ficou adorável de Spider-man.

7- Arthur e Shinra passaram a brigar muito no começo , mas brigar de verdade, não como no anime que eram discussões leves. Eles só pararam porquê graças a deus tiveram inteligência emocional suficiente para ver que isso afetava principalmente o Keith, que ficava irritadiço e não queria comer quando eles brigavam. Eles tiveram que aprender a se comunicar melhor, e que se um fizer algo que o outro não gosta é pra eles sentarem e conversarem. Isso melhorou bastante a relação deles, e o Keith também ficou bem melhor e menos irritado.

8- A primeira palavra do Keith foi "anjo", porquê depois do casamento o Arthur passou a chamar o Shinra de anjo e de anjinho. E de tanto ver o Arthur chamando o Shinra assim, o Keith acabou aprendendo.

9- Quando o Keith tinha um ano e seis meses, o Shinra e o Arthur saíram e deixaram ele sob a responsabilidade do Sho, que entrou em colapso em menos de duas horas porquê não aguentava mais ver desenho infantil.

10- Keith nunca havia chamado Sho de "tio" só de Sho, e na primeira vez que ele chamou ele de "tio Sho" ele começou a chorar. Arthur filmou tudo e mandou pro Shinra que também ficou emocionado.

ENGLISH: I came back, and I came back with the headcnons on ShinArthur parents !!!

These headcanons mainly involve an original character of mine, his name is Keith Kusakabe. First of all, I kindly ask you NOT TO USE KEITH IN YOUR WORKS, OR SOME OF THESE HEADCANONS INVOLVING IT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION !! ALSO DO NOT RESET THE POST IMAGE WITHOUT PERMISSION! The art in question came directly from my Twitter, if you want to give me a cookie there, you can.

And well, yes, Keith is asexual, I decided this because I needed to create an asexual O.C and project my experiences on him. I chose him out of pure favoritism that I have with him for being my baby ShinArthur, and that I love SO MUCH !! During this horrible time of the covid-19 pandemic, I was kind of "stuck" in these headcanons involving Keith, since I created him towards the end of 2019 and everything. Fire Force helps me deal with my problems since 2018, I got really attached to the work and ShinArthur because of that. During the pandemic, it was Fire Force that did not let me lose control, I am Brazilian, and given the situation on my country it was difficult not to lose control. I have a very affective relationship with Ohkubo-sensei's work and it's been important to share this with someone outside my bubble !!

HEADCANON TIMES!!

1- Keith was found abandoned in the middle of a fire at the Haijima facility, with several infernals. It was Shinra who found him crying under some rubble, he had the feeling that he could hear the baby's cry through Adolla Link. Shinra may feel that the baby should be his and Arthur's, but he was afraid that if he had a child, the child would suffer the same exclusion that he suffered.

2- Arthur who insisted that they adopt Keith, in part because the baby would only stop crying if he was in the lap of one of the two, but also because he found himself in the situation that Keith was in. Arthur had been abandoned too, and he couldn't do the same thing to that baby as they did to him. (And also why he and Shinra took care of the baby for a few days before the decision, and Arthur was extremely delighted by the sight of Shinra sleeping in the bed next to the baby. That was the main reason)

3- Arthur chose the name Keith for the baby, since Keith means "windy forest" or "windy place", the first meaning hooked Arthur on account of Shinra's first kanji which also means "forest". Arthur thought it was perfect, since Keith reminded him of Shinra almost supernaturally, despite his blue eyes.

4- Shinra was the one who got attached to Keith faster, despite the fear that he had to be a father because of his past. Taking care of the baby ended up reminding him of Sho, when he was a baby and left Shinra extremely nostalgic, but it also gave him a great desire to have a family with Arthur.

5- Shinra already despaired to the point of crying because Keith had a fever, and he was alone at home with him and no Arthur came back from the pharmacy with the medicine.

6- Shinra made Keith's first birthday with a superhero theme, and Arthur was sad because Shinra didn't let him dress Keith as a baby knight, but he was much happier because Keith was adorable for Spider-man.

7- Arthur and Shinra started to fight a lot in the beginning, but really fight, not like in the anime that were light discussions. They only stopped because, thank God, they had enough emotional intelligence to see that it mainly affected Keith, who was irritable and didn't want to eat when they fought. They had to learn to communicate better, and that if one does something that the other does not like, it is for them to sit and talk. This greatly improved their relationship, and Keith was also much better and less irritated.

8- Keith's first word was "angel", because after the wedding Arthur started to call Shinra an angel and an sweet angel. And from seeing Arthur calling Shinra that much, Keith ended up learning.

9- When Keith was one year and six months old, Shinra and Arthur left and left him under the responsibility of Sho, who collapsed in less than two hours because he couldn't stand to see children's cartoons anymore.

10- Keith had never called Sho "uncle" only from Sho, and the first time he called him "Uncle Sho" he started to cry. Arthur filmed everything and sent it to Shinra who was also moved.

I really feel like I am repeating myself about people misunderstanding things, but I do because people really do misunderstand things.

When it comes to chapter 10 I hear a lot of things that are wrong. About the whole Alear's mistake that since Hyacinth set a trap, then they didn't make a mistake....

Let's replay this chapter ok ?

The only reason why they go to Destinea catherdral is to save king Morion, and Marth warns Alear as he sensed Sombron's presence that they should retreat if the ritual has been carried out.

I saw some people pointing out that Marth never suggest to let him period and move on to Solm... but the thing is they went to Destinea catheral just to save King Morion. They didn't went there for a ring, else they would have go to Solm directly, they went here just for that. And Marth isn't the kind of guy who would just give up on someone without at least trying to resue him but he still says, and I quote

僕たちは奴と戦えるほど万全ではない。

中に入って、もし儀式が遂行された後なら撤退を。

そうでなくても、危険ならすぐに教会を出るんだ。

We are not prepared enough to fight him [Sombron]

Go inside and if the ritual as been performed, withdraw immediately. And even if it's not, if it gets too dangerous, leave the church immediately.

To which Alear respond by this reaction

Without king Morion ?

With Marth saying he have a bad presentiment and he is right about it. Even if none of them expected King Hyacinth to lock the doors, that's what is happening. But Marth insist for them to not stay here too long.

And that's the sentence showing Marth doesn't want Alear to encounter Sombron for reason other then the one he claims

You should never face the Fell dragon.

Here Marth isn't speaking about Alear's strenght not being enough, but as I mentionned he is worried about Alear meeting Sombron, their father.

Alear replies that it should be fine since Ivy claimmed that Sombron is so weak he couldn't move yet, the main reason why he is having a sacrifice in the first place.

Alear also mentions how they already have half of the rings (which is the problem) and that with it, they can fight the ennemy even if they collect all of the remaining rings. Which of course would mean a 6 vs 6 fight, but Alear's is talking about how they actually have 4 rings : the ROEP, the ROAT, the ROTI, and the ROTLOTP*. And while Marth acknowledge their current strenght and allies, he still insist that they shouldn't be too confident, to which Alear admits that they might sound like they take things too slightly when they are in the ennemy's base, but they explain their calm state to the presence of Emblems. And if you recall the begining of the game, when Alear remembered the presence of Emblem and about Marth, the same person who wanted to run away and struggled to fight the Corrupted to help Framme and Clanne ended up running in the battlefield summoning him and thanks to his help fighting bravely the Corrupted.

This will be important for later.

So they enter the cathedral, seeking for King Morion while Hyacinth does his little speech, and then they noticed him but he is already Corrupted, and while Diamant deliver his most powerful "kizama" Marth tells them to immediately withdraw to which Alear protests.

Alcryst then asks in a very desesperate tone "Please wait ! Withdrawing ? And leave Father behind ? Without even being able to give him a proper farewell ?" and Diamant begging "Let me fight Hyacinth please ! I cannot run away when he taunts us like this".

And then Hyacinth close the doors and Marth saying "damn! We are locked !!"

Hyacinth taunts them, and Alear turns toward him mumbling angrily his name. And the three ends up challenging him with Alear telling Hyacinth to prepare himself.

So apparently the writters messed up because of the whole trap thing. So while Marth's surprised reaction does show he didn't expected to be trapped, I 'd like to say something. Basically the idea is that since King Hyacinth could have closed the doors at any moments, then even if Alear had listen to Marth and that Diamant and Alcryst were willing to listen and obey, they would have been trapped anyway. Sure fair enough. However, I disagree with the idea that the only way to prevent that was by not entering Destinea's cathedral and to go to Solm instead, because Alear and Co still had a possiblity to get to escape : breaking the door.

That's the only thing they have to do to escape from Destinea Cathedral. Breaking the door. It's not really far fectched considering it's a feature added in Engage's map and that in chapter 25 they managed to break the door Veyle magically locked. We even have to breal the door to reach to the prebestery, meaning that Hyacinth ended up locking them outside of the prebestery so.. they really could have done that. They have 6 Emblems, including one that can wrap itself, one that set fire and one that can pierce through an enemy legion. Wrap staff are even acknowledge in canon to be a thing, and Engage has TONS of those. So really, if Alear wanted to escape they would just do that. After all, their only objective was to save King Morion, not to kill Hyacinth. This become the objective only because Alear and the Brodian are outraged at Hyacinth for what they did, and as indicated by Alear's dialogue, they are just as angry and decide to get rid of him since he did that to King Morion and is taking them for a fool. But would Alear really want to escape, they can just break the door. Would Hyacinth tries to stop them anyway ? sure, but they can just break a way. When you try to escape it leads you to actually focus on clearing a path, not on fighting every enemy on your road. After all once Hyacinth is defeated unlocking the door and that the Hounds are there standing in their way, they manage to escape even if we don't see how because animation is hard apparently. But I'd still like to point that King Hyacinth closed the door only when they were assured that they would stay.

He noticed them clearly going to stay, and then called them "fools" before locking the doors. So, this entire argument that the chapter 10 twist is ruined is entirely relying on a speculation. We have no idea how Hyacinth would have reacted if they had tried to leave right ? But even then, sseing how all they had to face was a closed door, they can just break it.

But when focusing on Alear and the Brodian, it's obvious that Alear was going to stay anyway, doors or not. Just from the way they refused to retreat when Marth told them to and the way they said Alrcryst and Diamant's name seeing them unable to leave their father, which reminded them of how they felt about Lumera. If you recall in chapter 3, Alear said they wished that no more families would feel the pain they felt towards Lumera's death. So pretty much everything lead to understand they were going to stay anyway. If anything Hyacinth's trap only cast a doubt about Alear being at fault there, but it still doesn't change the fact that Alear don't know the difference between running away and retreat. Moreover, that's the just for the "reasonably doubtful part" as people claim it is.

Sure Diamant and Alcryst have some responsabilty for wanting to stay too, and sure Hyacinth closing the door give the impression that Alear wasn't at fault but... what about the rest of the scene ? Because if what I said prior about how Alear's several reaction in that moment showing Hyacinth or not, they would be agreeing with Diamant and Alcryst anyway, seeing their tone while speaking their name and how they ended up being just as angry hearing Hyacinth taunt them to the point that the idea they still could have used the Emblem to break the doors didn't even crossed their minds. (but apparently not to the people who made the claim that they had no way of escaping... that and the fact that they still had the Dragonic crystal so they could have rewinded to before entering the cathedral to escape anyway....) didn't convince you, the rest of the scene will since my point is not to insist that Alear is at fault in that moment even if it was obvious they would have stayed anyway and someone will say something that is going to show that even with the scene built up like that, it wasn't THAT moment that was supposed to shows Alear didn't wanted to retreat.

Once you defeated King Hyacinth and that Veyle stole the ring (came back to that eventually) how does Alear reacts ? That's the angriest you'll ever see them in the entire game, they don't even listen to Vander telling them to withdraw, instead they scream angrily at Veyle ordering her to return the rings.

And eventually their allies managed to get them out of the cathedral since defeating Hyacinth caused the doors to open (because Fire emblem is still a RPG). When introducing the map, Alear is shown hesitating to run when their allies already passed them, and they end rejoining them. But Alear insist that they have to fight and get the rings back, with Alfred telling them it's a no winning situation and that they have to escape. But does Alear listen ? Not really. While we still have to fight, if Alear fight a Corrupted bearing an Emblem they will try to purge them, but gets beaten by it by Veyle who can wrap them once they are purged with Evil power (keep that in mind).

Keep in mind that while the maps wants you to escape, you can't defeat the Hounds or Veyle at that moment, Veyle in particular is made immortal so you are forced to escape anyway.

So we come to Alear apologizing for the mess and Alfred, saying, and I quote "It wasn't your fault. In your place, no one could have done anything". Which honestly was my favorite part because once again, it's a proof that no one read the game. Because the narrative have someone mentions that Alear got trapped. And that's not even all, Diamant and Alcryst does acknowledge their fault too. So, what was the goal of this chapter exactly ? Well

To establish that Alear doesn't know what it means to know when to give up. As I mentionned before, Alear wasn't going to leave seeing the Brodian's reaction even when Marth told them too. But while the game itself isn't too hard on Alear for that, it's for what happens after, that is to say once they defeated Hyacinth and lost the rings, putting them into a situation of danger where even the Brodian were ready to leave, unlike for before the battle, that is showing Alear doesn't know when to give up since they still want to get back the rings.

To establish a parralel with Sombron.

So let's briefly come back to Veyle's stealing the rings. I am going to repeat it again and again and again and again. Veyle in her evil state was shown early as to be able to teleport right ? In the vault, when Alear is facing her, she wraps behind them. And then after striking Lumera, she escape, letting the dragonic crystal falls. In chapter 11, she is shown capable of wraping the rings.

Now, about this infamous scene. Well, what does Veyle do. We see her, with her hair floating in a weird direction as if she had wrap

before we are shown her, with the several rings that our allies are wearing floating in a purple hue, before the same purplish hue that Veyle is shown as she teleports herself in the vault appear and then we go back to Alear, right at the moment. Which scene am I talking about ? You know, that one.

That cutscene where Veyle teleports. Look at that weird purplish hue. Then why doesn't she teleports during the rest of the game ? And why doesn't she does this the other times she meets Alear in chapter 17 and 20 ? Other then the fact she is busy fighting for her life...it's because she actually doesn't teleports... she is using the dragonic Crystal. If you recall, it's the same hue that appears when Alear use it. And if you think I am making things up, go watch it for yourself because this cutscene is literaly called :" The dragonic time crystal".

And that's before Veyle kills Lumera and drops it. It stops at that. This scene was here to prepare Chapter 10 stealing shenanigans. As you see, Alear had no notion of Veyle turning back in time, and it seems like she wrapped herself. That's how she managed to stole the dragonic crystal, and then the rings. She stole it one first time when Alear was talking with Zephia and as soon as she had it she used it and stole all the rings. As shown by the purplish hue that means Veyle had already used it. When she appears behind Alear, the same hue is there even though she is shown to already have used it. That's the same. She used it before the scene happened.

When this scene plays, Veyle had already rewinded time after stoling the crystal and only when the purplish hue appears is it that time is flowing back again. This is shown through the animation of Alear having the ring and ready to Engage, but then pouf, she rewind and they aren't there anymore, and to Alear it played as if Veyle had used magic to steal them, so to us too since we are following it from Alear's POV, but in reality, she appeared to have used it. It's because the dragonic crystal is based on Divine impulse. It is mentioned to be able to reverse time, but when you use it, just as for Divine impulse, times froze for a moment until you rewind. And in Hopes, when Shez and Byleth fight when Sothis took over their body, the scene from Shez's pov felt like Byleth was teleporting, when in reality they weren't. And in Hopes, it's even a mechanic allowing you to freeze time and attack while the ennemy has it's guard down. In short, Veyle is implied to have stolen them off screen and when the scene plays, she had already stole it and used it, and when we saw her in that moment, she had finished her little magical trick.

So that's how Veyle stole the dragonic crystal. And the rings too.

and to the people arguing they shouldn't have turned their back or wondering why not one noticed Veyle before she stole it

1/ The moment might have seemed long but it took only two seconds and you are basically admitting them having being distracted was a very good excuse since you are saying they committed a mistake right now

2/ There is at least 2 instance showing Veyle is very fast. In chpater 3, when Marth and Alear took their eyes off her less then a second, she was poof ! gone. And in chapter 9 where Alear tells her not go, and despite having her right on front us, poof ! gone as well. And chapter 15 too.

As for people wondering why she didn't stabbed Alear in that case... well, they are surrounded. They did manage to pierce a way, but Veyle in evil mode is arrogant before she is sadist, so blame it on her hubris. Then of course, people complaining about Zelkov stealing the dragonic crystal. While I agree that it makes the whole deal silly, Zelkov explained he was trying to steal the rings. And ended up sneaking the dragonic crystal. And seeing how Zelkov is a former assasin.. you get the idea.

So that was for it. Now, let's get back to the main point.

So people have been mistaking completely Lyn and Lucina's lecture. They weren't refering to the Destinea disaster since they weren't awake at that time, being under the influence of the Fell dragon, and Lyn having no idea that Marth told Alear to retreat... since she was in the opposed camp. What Lyn and Lucina are refering to is Alear's attitude AFTER losing the rings. Which is essentially ignoring their allies when they tell them to retreat for instead yelling at Veyle to give them the rings back, insist that they must get them back and even when their allies are tense, speaking about getting them back.

Lucina and Lyn are telling Alear that even if they got their rings lost, not everything is lost but that they must retreat and then Alear's explain that Lumera told them not to run away, as it's unfitting of a Divine dragon. And there Lucina and Lyn explain the difference between running away and retreating. Running away is refusing to face the danger the moments it shows up, basically Alear's reaction in chapter 1 when they wanted to run away seeing the Corrupted while retreating is when you give up on the fight for now because the situation isn't in your favor. Lyn explains it as such "To really run away means to give up completely." And if you wonder why Alear doesn't know this (yes, I saw people calling Alear stupid for not knowing that"

Well. Remember, Alear is a fell child. Veyle, Nel and Rafal's intereaction showed that as dragon isolated from humans due to them hating them, they know little about them. But even when not counting that, we all know Sombron's way. Alear back then, had no other options but to fight : retreating and running away was the same thing and led to the same result, death by Sombron's hands. They had no choice but to fight whoever ennemy they had and to defeat them to survive. So of course, they wouldn't know that would they ? With their amnesia, they forgot they didn't knew that and all that was remained was that they could express their fear freely.

So when Lyn and Lucina are done with their lecture, Alear remember what Marth said and understands better what he wanted to teach them, even if you argue that in that situation Alear wasn't completely at fault, point is that they 1/Still didn't understand where Marth was coming from 2/Would have refuse to retreat since they think it would mean running away, doors or not 3/ Even when they are in a dire situation, they still insist on fighting and had their allies force their hand to withdraw.

That's that last part that is Alear's mistake. While the Cathedral situation was them and the Brodian losing it (for good reason) and wanting to take revenge on Hyacinth rather then focusing on breaking the doors or even rewind to save their skin, what happens after showed great immaturity on Alear's part as they didn't listen. Not to Vander, not to Alfred. If it weren't because they had no chances to win against all these Corrupted and even with immortal Veyle, they would have still tried.

That's what Alear is acknowledging : " Being robbed or running away doesn't mean I lost... And in that case, I'll turn this withdraw into victory". Alear gave up on trying to get back what they lost right now, and instead, accepts to focus on another goal leading to the Solm arc upon swearing to also become a better leader. And indeed, only once we got back enough rings, our team is trying to get back the ring in Elusia.

Now what parralel is draw between Sombron and Alear here ? Sombron is someone who refuse to accept what is lost, he still wants 0 Emblem back even though it's illogical. Alear have the same mindest. They are unable to accept that they got the rings lost and can't get them back. Alear was as dependent of Marth and the others as Sombron was to 0 Emblem. When Veyle stole them, they are livid. Shaking and asking neverously that she gave them back, which of course she won't but this is to show Alear's despair and when Sombron is purging Marth, the camera focus on Alear's horrified face, with the music stopping to heart beating sounds, intensifying the scene, with Alear calling multiple times Marth, and as Sombron summon all the others, Alear ends up falling to their knees, begging them to stop and saying how they can't keep up without the Emblems. Sombron got 6 rings, all the rings they collected, and that combine with the stolen rings means they had 10 rings in total, only 2 missing. No wonder they were in that state, but Alear also lost Marth, they angel guardian, their mentor. Out of all Emblems, it's Marth's lost that affected Alear most because it's Marth's presence above all that allowed Alear to feel more confident and have courage. Veyle herself taunt Alear about wanting Marth and Sigurd, which outraged them.

By accepting to let go of them for now and focus on another objective for now, Alear matured a little.

Some people argue that it's sugar coated because we will get them back eventually. Well, yes we do get back the lost rings at some point but when they are all reunited what happen ? That's right ! Alear dies !

It takes us some more chapter and the rings we gather aren't the one we lost, it's the one guarded in Solm, the one stolen by Ivy and her retainers, then the one that Hortensia gave use one defeated and then the one stolen by Rosado and Goldmary. The one moment we get a ring that we were robbed off... is when Veyle outsmart Zephia by giving Alear Sigurd's ring, additionally it being a nice parallel to the many time Veyle stole said rings. And considering the reason why the Fell Xenologue is avalaible from chapter 6-7 despite it taking place around chapter 17-18, it's simply because of strategic ressources. Compared to Awakening that gave you a lot of stock units with paralogue characters and child units, Fates who did the same and 3H that allows to recruit others students, Engage is lacking some stock ressources. The Bracelets Emblems are here to help during this pain called Solm arc and to furnish 5 stock units with the Wings and the Twins. So about that whole part of being reassured that we'll get back those rings, to there is no real penalty... well, let's say that when the main character dies and that the villain used the rings once we get them all back and that we are in a dire situation of a race against time to stop him and close the portal threatining Elyos, yeah... hard to believe (it's no help that the dialogue in the Somniel after the disaster isn't as joyful as usual from our units)

To sum up the points established

1/ Alear being entrapped didn't ruin the twist as the game accept to lessen the weight of their responsablity when going into the cathedral

2/ If Alear's goal was to run away they had 2 possibility : using the Dragonic crystal or breaking through the doors. It wasn't their goal, instead the game made it clear they would have stayed even not trapped and they get as angry as the Brodian and decide to get rid of Hyacinth.

3/ The flaw that Lyn and Lucina critize isn't Alear taking lightly Marth's advice, but the current behaviour they showed upon losing them

4/ Lyn and Lucina's remark made Alear realize they misunderstood Marth's advice at it reminded them as the one given by Marth

5/ It's there to have Alear learn the difference between runing away before an ennemy because you are scared, and withdrawing, a strategy that is necessary when your allies are in danger and when the ennemy is has advantage on you. Basically, that giving up isn't always a bad thing and that you sometimes need to accept what you lost

6/ It's showing that Alear managed to show more maturity then Sombron does, especially when they'll end up parting way by the Emblems, when they originally had the same childish reaction as their father

7/ It's allowing Alear to realize they still have much to learn and to be independent of Marth and less relying on Emblems, seeing how one of their victory quotes is " The Emblem are my guide"

So does Alear learns their lessons ? Yes. 10 Chapter later, when they are about to enter Elusia's castle, this time to get back the rings meaning that the objective is to fight, they say the exact same words Marth uttered.

And when they enter, their allies are all in a defense position, even Timerra (who wasn't there migh I remind you for the Cathedral disaster) looking for any danger, since Alear was asking them to be more cautious, so that they could flee if the situation wasn't in their advantage anymore. And then Griss barges in and challenges them. Alear is nervous at the idea that Sombron might be around, and are trying at first to dissuade him. Griss sense their fear, and continues to taunt them, while claiming that there wouldn't be any reinforcements. And indeed, our team just defeated Marni and Mauvier, and they now have 10 rings, the remaining one being the ROCP and the ROHK. Zephia isn't around, Alear learned from Mauvier that Veyle isn't there. So, Alear accepts seeing how Griss's words are true... while their dialogue have them acknowledging they trust him because they sense that he is up to something unrelated to the arrival of more reinforcements.

And if you wonder why I am bringing this up, it's because I remember someone saying that Alear's attitude towards Griss shoew they learn nothing. So 1/ Alear learned that when the situation requires it, they had to retreat... how is fighting Griss a situation worth retreating ? I mean, aside from the fact he is creepy as ever ? They are in superior number and Alear said that if the situation would get too dangerous they would have too flee, like Marth said, meaning that if the situation were to worsen for them, Alear would be willing to flee

2/ They came here to get the rings back. This isn't a King Morion situation where they could afford to fly away at the first sign of danger. They have to go there and fight to get the ring back so of course they would still have to fight Griss, taunting or not. While in chapter 10, it was supposed to be a rescue operation where fighting could have been avoided, chapter 20 is a get back the ring situation where Alear is aware that they will have to fight whoever is guarding it, with possibly Sombron and Zephia inside which is why they are telling their allies to stay on their guard

3/ For Alear to not have learn their lesson, what should have happened is that Griss lied, there were more reinforcements, but instead of retreating, Alear still insist they try to get Celica back ... which didn't happened. There is nothing suggesting that Alear would be refusing to retreat and focus obsessively on what they lost. If anything, the dialogue and their entrance being on their guard and looking for traps suggest that they learned their lessons. Heck, Alear trying to escape before Griss wouldn't be a retreat but ... running away

So while this chapter 10 have some clumsy pacing (like come on Intsys was it this hard to animate a escape cutscene ?), this isn't an invalidated chapter/nor twist. The game's point about Alear not knowing what running away is and what retreating is based on their reaction to losing the rings, Alfred mentions how in they couldn't plan on Hyacinth trapping them, Alcryst and Diamant also takes part of the blame, it's not only Alear's mistake. Their flaw is however apparent when they refuse to run away after the battle had been done, behaving like Sombron with 0 Emblem. And it doesn't take away that Alear still has some responsability in this since they would have still stayed and that it's noticing it that allowed Hyacinth to close to door.
