I think you may have an idea or have a random sign in front of you or a message/call from your guts, but you're not quite aware of it, of its meaning, of what it is for. Or, you cannot see/understand it correctly (or fear this). It seems very confused, like those games you're given letters and need to form words from those but you really have no clue where to start from. Blank page. You know, you are probably also given the instructions to form those words, but you're not seeing them or are pretending not to. You're too focused on something else, on only one side of the matter. You're not looking at the whole picture, probably out of fear you'll hear something you don't want to hear. So you may even panic and stress a lot, and honestly this is of no help in seeing the missing piece, in finding clarity. Confusion brings clouds in thinking. And it brings stress, and anxiety and spiralling... you know the drill. Take a breath and try to stay grounded. I don't think you'll hear anything you don't want to hear. And even if this was the case, I somehow think you know it won't mean anything so drastic for you. It feels more like a childhood wound you need to heal, and to do it, you need to be "more of an adult" and take the courage to listen to your message. Have no fear. It doesn't have to be as it has always been. It doesn't have to be another "no". But you need to receive the right type of guidance to get over this problem that is keeping you in the past, caging you and making you re-live the old life. You're not going there, you're going somewhere else. Be open to what good will happen to you. And remember to take care of your inner child, they need your support, to know you can help and protect them, to know they're safe and things will go well and you're there with them (especially if no one was there for you when you needed). So stop with the stressing, take a breath and be brave. It's gonna be okay. And let it all in, people and love, of any type. Don't be scared, you can always choose what's best for you.

I think you're healing something, something pretty big too, but... there's something else that doesn't feel quite there yet. Something that bothers you and you cannot really understand what it is. It's like, you've tried to see the problem also from another perspective, but it doesn't work either. You seem a bit lost on this detail. Maybe cause you think it's important too, or cause... you're a perfectionist? What is this annoyance about? To find out, you are called to stop and meditate. It seems you're trying to avoid looking at it in a very deep meaningful way. You maybe thought you had healed that or it's not a big deal, but if it's so bothering you then maybe you need to check it better instead of just pretending is not there and occasionally get annoyed or confused about it. (If you cannot do it alone, ask for help in the process, please). If all you've done has been trying to be perfect to be accepted, you're asked to stop and see if this is really worth it, if this is really how things are supposed to be (spoiler: no, that's not so. You are deserving just cause you're existing). But in general, you've probably been stressing over many things, maybe you also had to take care of others or things you weren't supposed to care for... I'm suddenly so tired tbh. It feels like you're draining yourself with all these thoughts, preoccupations and stress over the smallest thing/flaw you can find (especially in you: were you judged a lot in your past?). But it's all in the past. It's what you used to do. And it has never give you anything much back, right?Except for problems and pain and uncertainty and... stress. Your Guides want to tell you it's time to stop with this self inflicted torment: you're here to enjoy too, it doesn't matter if you're not "perfect" (what does perfect even mean? We all have our own definition of perfect, and it can be something flawed too). You don't have to be perfect, and the things you do don't have either. You can be lousy, it's okay. And if someone cares, is cause of their own problem, not yours. It's time to start something new, to be more kind and generous with yourself, and forgive yourself if you have tried to be so strict on you and may try again: it will change, take your time.

You may have problems in having others see the real you. And you're healing that part of you, the one that relates with creating healthy boundaries and standing up for yourself. The one that calls for you to follow you heart. The one that suggests that such a change is good, to not agree with others but having your opinins and ideas is fine. It's not lack of respect, is just you being you. Lack of respect is imposing your opnions and ideas on others without asking them anything, and never listening nor compromising. Is having others following you blindly. You don't have to follow anyone you don't agree with. Create your own knowledge, your own set of beliefs and values, and stick to them. Live your life accordingly. I think for some of you it may be about love too. You don't have to let the other take advantage of you or fear losing them if you disagree. Just be you. You're lovable and worthy. Don't let others tell you what to think or what you need, how can they know for sure? For a few of you, your counterpart/soulmate may be trying to contact you and remind you to work on this side of you before the meeting, which may happen not too far from now. But they want you to be ready and be you (as they're themselves). This way, they'll be able to recognize you as part of them. Don't let your insecurities and fears take over your life and govern it for you. You're in charge, only you. You can talk with them and show them there's nothing to really be scared of. It's not a life threat to say "no" and disagree with others. It doesn't mean anything. Also, if it ever happens with friends, family and partners: it's okay to not agree on everything. You can be two different people with different ideas and still love and appreciate each other (be more grounded when it comes to romantic love: a Disney-like relationship, it's not very likely to happen irl). You won't end up alone, or anyway you'll free yourself from people that you're not supposed to be with, so to welcome those you are. Go after what you want. Let your true self be seen and true needs be met by letting others know about them. No more masks.

There's only a little your Guides want to tell you. Probably cause you're supposed to find the answer on your own. They may be giving you a general advice/suggestion, a hint even, but you need to follow your guts and see yourself what to do next. I do think it's about a decision you need to make on your future or something you have to find out. Or even learn, for some of you. It's like something written, that needs to happen anyway, so you better be the one making this choice and/or getting to it. So rely on your courage and take a leap and see yourself what's next. Live through it. Enjoy the process. Create your abundance. I think this may be also about any of your manifestations (that's why all the secrets), and you may have an idea of how things may develop and you feel kinda hyped/happy/positive about it, but you're not so sure at the end of the day (yeah, human doubts!). Still, your Guides are saying that you have to realize it yourself. Probably cause the happiness will be enhanced, probably cause you have to learn something on the way. Maybe how to deal with these doubts/insecurities too and not let them come in between your manifestations anymore. Probably cause you need to be more courageous or open to receive. You're not like pile 1 though, your energy is more open and wild, more accepting. You know there's something in store for you, and you know your heart feels it as well. So yep, I do think it's all about learning to trust the process and yourself, to believe. Even if maybe you've been deceived or told lies most of your life. It can be different, you can trust now. Not everyone is a liar or will give you mixed signals. Not evrything will end up in you having to be okay with something else. Keep healing this emotional side of yours and support yourself through this amazing journey ahead (you're not alone anyway, your Guides aren't going anywhere ofc).

You and Bucky were silent as you closed your laptop. What could one say after watching a person you knew, personally, rip through a group of people as though they were wrapping paper on Christmas morning? There were no words.

After several long minutes, Bucky finally spoke. “After seeing that,” he said, “I think it’s all the more reason to make sure you don’t leave this safehouse unless you absolutely have to.”

“Yeah,” you said, devoid of all your previous fight. How could you argue with him about your safety after having seen that?

Bucky looked at you in surprise, as though he had expected you to challenge him. He nodded curtly. “Good,” he said. “Alright. We need a game plan. Did you come up with any leads about that Chloe girl that we can follow up on?”

You sighed. “Yeah,” you said, opening up a new tab in your browser. “So, Chloe mentioned her family was having money problems. I was able to figure out where her mom and step father do their banking; I thought we could take a look at their accounts, see if there’s any unusual activity that might point to them getting a share of her auction price. Then maybe we could trace the deposit back to whoever did the sale.”

“You think her parents knowingly participated in trafficking their own kid?” Bucky asked in horror. “Pocket, that’s dark.”

You avoided looking at him as you opened up a backdoor into the accounts in question. “You’d be surprised what people are willing to do when money gets involved. Not even a mother/daughter bond is immune from that kind of greed.”

Bucky’s gaze on you was almost tangible in its intensity. “I’m sorry. It’s so hard for me to envision a mother betraying her child like that; sometimes I forget you had to live it.”

“But you told Carthage about it,” you said softly. “At the mission debrief. When she said trafficking was below our paygrade.”

“Sweetheart,” Bucky turned your chin so you were facing him. “I told her that human trafficking was something you and Nat both cared very deeply about stopping; that’s it.” He frowned. “I don’t expect you to believe me and that’s okay, but I would never divulge your past to anyone. Not when I know how few people you trusted with that information. I just wanted her to stop acting like it was some kinda game and to treat it as seriously as it deserved to be treated.”

“Oh,” you said after a moment. Something in his words rang true, but there was still the lingering doubt that he was being honest. “Don’t worry about, Barnes,” you said, studiously avoiding eye contact as you breached the bank’s security system. “It’s fine. I’m fine.”

You could feel him staring at you, and you didn’t need to be looking back to envision the look he was giving you— the one that let you know he thought you were full of shit. Fortunately, he allowed your lie to pass without another word while you continued to breach the bank’s system.

“Okay, I’m in,” you said after a moment. Bucky got up and came to stand behind you, looking at your monitor over your shoulder.

“Anything?” he asked.

You scrolled through Chloe’s stepfather’s transaction history. Liquor stores, smoke shops, some escort services. “Real classy guy,” you murmured. And then, you hit it: the night Chloe had left the club for good, there was a substantial deposit made to the account in the amount of $250,000.

“Holy shit,” you whispered. “I figured he might get a cut, but I had no idea it would be that much.”

Bucky let out a long, low whistle. “If that’s their finder’s fee, I can’t imagine what the final sale was for.”

You were furiously copying down the depositing account’s information. “I’m going to send this info back to Nat,” you told him. “See if they can reverse-search it and find out where the money came from. Once we know the source, we might be able to break into their systems, get info on who won the auctions. Maybe some of the other girls are still alive…” Your voice trailed off. You were too jaded to allow yourself to hope you could save all of them, but if you could save even one…

Bucky began moving toward the apartment’s front door, grabbing his leather jacket from where he’d hung it on a hook.

“Where are we going?” You asked him, closing your laptop and standing up.

“We aren’t going anywhere,” he informed you as he put the jacket on. “I’m going to go have a little chat with Chloe’s stepfather, see if there’s any additional information he’d like to generously offer us. You are going to stay here, locked securely behind the door and not opening it for any reason until I get back.”

You opened your mouth to argue, but the images of Jade moving through the Hydra compound, slaughtering everyone in her path rose to your mind. You nodded. “Yeah,” you said. “I’ll stay here.”

“Thank you.” Bucky released a relieved sigh, then walked over to you, kissing the top of your head. “If anything happens, call me, and I’ll head straight back. If Carthage shows up, there’s a gun in the bedside table. Aim to kill.”

“Obviously,” you told him. “I’ve only been fantasizing about it since I found out about Russia.”

“I’m being serious, doll,” Bucky said. “Now that we’ve seen what she’s capable of, I don’t want you taking any chances.”

“Yeah,” you said as you walked him to the door and opened it for him, “I was being 100% serious, too.”

"A Ten Year"

[Astarion and Vistri stay at Gale's tower to experiment with magic]

“Hello, darling,” Astarion greeted delightedly as she entered their rooms.

Together they made ten years fly by, yet Vistri felt like she was beholding his face for the first time, only just now becoming acquainted with his voice. She still felt like that when they reunited after being apart for any amount of time. Even just within the space of half a day.

Vistri pouted, “I think he hates me.”

Astarion affectionately pretended to be fed up with her, “What’d you do this time?”

“I… teased him a little.”

“Oh, come now! If he was ever going to hate you over that, we wouldn’t ever be invited to stay.”

Vistri laughed, and its ugliness made her the most precious thing. Astarion had no choice but to wrap his arms around her and feel her convulse against his chest.

His eyes were soft, “And I wouldn’t have you any other way.”

Vistri closed hers to soak up the heat and sincerity in his tone. It was sweeter than a song.

Their tongues did the rest of the talking. Then they found each other’s skin underneath their fine clothes. Passing breath back and forth until they eventually sunk to the floor and melted into each other.

Afterwards, they gazed in amazement while their chests wracked like stormy waves. Vistri wiped a drop of sweat off Astarion’s brow that threatened to fall into his eye.

“Let’s take a bath,” she purred.

When they all met for dinner later Gale was no longer peeved, but he had a look of madness about him.

“I’m feeling inspired,” he announced, raising his glass, “To us! And the pursuit of…”

“Debauchery,” Astarion offered.

Vistri smirked.

They clinked and sipped. Gale excitedly took over the conversation with theories on mimicking the psychic link of a mind flayer. Another elixir was obviously out of the question. One would just cancel out the other. And they’d already ruled out the use of more than one scroll.

“—but what if it’s something we wear?!” he exclaimed, the punchline to his lecture.

“Well, I like it,” Astarion said in a high, breathy tone. Then tilted his head and lowered his voice for dramatic effect, “Question is: What should we enchant?”

Undergarments would be the most fun, but those would probably end up discarded, breaking the effect. Any sort of necklace or diadem was a bad idea for the same reason. So, they went with the most basic answer, a ring.

“Boring, but sort of perfect,” Vistri said, “In theme with our little get together—It reminds me of that ring Omeluum gave us, the Ring of Mind-shielding, but—”

“Ring of Mind-flayer,” Gale joked.

Vistri chuckled, “Exactly. I think it could be nostalgic. Don’t you agree, love?”

Astarion swallowed a gulp of… well, somebody’s blood, and set down his goblet to take hold of her reaching fingers.

He nodded, “The rings themselves make splendid gifts.”

“Party favors!”

“Yes, dear,” Astarion patted her hand, “Party favors.”

Gale chewed thoughtfully and hummed, getting ready to say something.

“Do you think everyone will be ready to turn into mind flayers? Even though we wouldn’t be actually turning into one—I mean, we worked so hard not to after all. Now we’re making it into a game.”

“A sex game,” Astarion clarified, just because Gale’s reaction was always priceless.

“With your brilliant ring idea, anyone can skip the mind flayer bits and still have a blast” Vistri said, “But that’s the draw of it for me, personally. I like to face my fears in the bedroom.

“Really puts the whole vampire companion into perspective,” Gale muttered into his wine.

“I think it has the potential to be quite healing, frankly,” Vistri went on, “You know: Take control of the thing we used to not be in control of.”

“And fuck it,” Astarion added.

“But not… At the party. Right?”

“No, Gale!” Vistri scoffed, “Do you tend to host orgies at your other family reunions?”

“Fair enough,” he chuckled, “But you both better remember that. I’ll have no illithids at the party proper! Not when it’s my turn to host.”

The first tenday was a disaster of failed attempts. Their unique shapeshifting spell was easier said than managed. The rings ended up being the simplest part. After all, it was just a stack of enchantments: Warding to connect the pair, mind reading, and a mix of charm and psionics for the transfer of sensation and feeling. Those only took time because they had to be bonded pairs. The elixir proved to be just as tricky as the scrolls, but after Gale remembered to enchant the mushrooms, they had something viable.

Just in time, they pulled it off. The only thing left to do before the party was to give the whole experience a test run.

Weirdly specific König Headcanons part 5

By an austrian for an austrian character

After the Trump speech, where he claimed that our trees were explosive König wouldn't shut up about the warlike conditions he had to endure when playing in our forest cities.

In May 2019, after the Ibiza affair, there was a solid week, where he would almost exclusively listen to Ibiza-related partysongs.

He hates being carried, he's normally the one carrying people. And most of the time when he carries people it's the fireman's carry.

He celebrates Christmas on the 24. of december in the evening. This and the food blessing for easter are the only times a year he'll go to church without being forced by his family, mostly bc he gets food afterwards.

His father would often wake him to help with the farm. If he was hungover and refused he'd get told "Wer saufen kann, kann am nächsten Tag auch arbeiten" (very loosely translated "Those that have the energy to go out and drink, have the energy to go work on the next day"). He sometimes uses the phrase just to get on his teammates nerves.

Every time someone complains about their job within his earshot he'll say "Hättest halt was g'scheites g'lernt" (meaning "Should've trained for a better job then"). When pointed out that they have the same "shit" job he just sighs and says "Yeah, takes one to know one."

Prefers colder temperatures over warmer ones bc "It's easier to put on clothes to keep warm than take them off to keep cool, especially when you're down to your underwear already"

People, for some reason, just love to tell him all the gossip and he loves it. Too bad he has no idea who half of the people he has gossip on are/forgets about the names involved immediately

Inspired by my best friend: If you go on a hike with him, he'll be standing there at the top of the mountain with his hands on his hips, not a drop of sweat on his face and he'll say "Yeah, that was a tough hike" while you're on the ground next to him fighting for for your life

If he's bored he'll go on r/austria to see if there's any "drama" like the "I ripped my 1000€ jacket on somebody's fence, can I sue them?" or the "Someone vomited in the staircase in front of my flat, do I have to clean it?" posts and the posts that made fun of them

He knows how to use a scythe (for mowing grass things, maybe also slicing up people, but mostly just mowing grass). First time his team sees him with one they take a pic, add the text "bad soldiers get reaped by the big german grim reaper" and post it on the community fridge. Within a day the german is angrily scribbled out and austrian added instead.

And not really a headcanon more like something i overheard while one of my friends played warzone: when you play the game in german and König heals you he says "Put some spit on it" (if I remember correctly)

I'm surprised I came up with so many headcanons, tho I'm kinda running out of steam.

In other news I made a playlist of songs I think would get stuck in his head/he would listen to. The playlist is a weird genre mix, but I swear I can can think of a reason for each song to be in it. I may add some new songs over time.

And I'm so happy spotify doesn't record what I'm listening to rn bc I don't want Austropop to be in my top 5 genres for the next wrapped.

God, I’m never able to answer this question because there’s so many amazing songs out there. I will say, the first that came to mind are Grace by Jeff Buckley and Weird Fishes / Arpeggi by Radiohead. There’s probably some others that I’m forgetting!

2. What is your go-to karaoke song?

I… don’t do karaoke, I’m too socially anxious for that. It’s weird, I think I have a decent voice but the times I have done karaoke, the way the microphone picks up my voice always makes it sound weird? Or maybe I’m not used to it. Or maybe I just suck 😆

3. If you were to get lyrics tattooed on you, which would would they be?

One of my favourite Nothing But Thieves lyrics is from a song called Graveyard Whistling, “If you don’t believe, it can’t hurt you”. The ex-catholic guilt is STRONG here for me, and that song holds lots of personal meaning for other reasons. Or maybe just any line from Grace as mentioned in #1.

I’d also love to get a Foals-inspired tattoo someday, while it is one of their most known songs, Spanish Sahara is also really special to me for very personal reasons. I especially like the line “It’s future rust and it’s future dust”.

5. Is there a song that always makes you cry no matter what? What is it?

I know I keep answering the same 3-4 artists, but I have to say Dreaming Of by Foals. It’s one of my favourite songs by them ever, but I have to skip it sometimes when I listen to ENSWBL Part II because it genuinely makes me sad. The lyrics remind me so much of my (nonexistent) relationship with my sister, and the horrible way she’d betrayed me last year. I just wanna thank Yannis/Foals for writing that one, while it does make me cry almost every time I listen to it, it has helped me heal those emotional wounds. I could go on all day analysing each line and how they hit me like a truck but I’ll stop now LMAO.

I got that vibe for a split second because of all the mentions of dreams, but then upon my 2nd listen I was like nah actually this is about a relationship that was hella toxic. Good thing they broke up bc it sounds like that ex just played games with him.

A LOT of unexpected things have occurred in my life, but a bittersweet silver lining has kind of appeared that will give me more time. How to Make GoodTimesWithScar in DnD

This is part 2 of my guide on building Life Series members in dnd 5e.

I’ll go level by level and explain the reasoning behind my decisions and how I think it fits them in character. This build assumes starting at level 8 but includes notes on differences if you start at level 1 and progress to 8. This is not intended as a guide on how to play dnd, just how to build this character. I also don't explain every feature but I may briefly touch on it and explain my reasoning for taking it.

Class: Bard (College of Whispers) 3, Rogue (Assassin) 5

Race: Half-elf

Base Ability Scores: (uses Tasha's Cauldron of Everything rule that allows for reallocating racial stat bonuses)

Str 12 (+1)

Dex 14, (+2) +2 from race = 16 (+3)

Con 14 (+2)

Int 8 (-1)

Wis 8 (-1)

Cha 15 (+2) +1 from race = 16 (+3)

Background: Faceless

Scar is one of the smoothest talkers I have ever had to joy (and horror) of witnessing. His ability to sweet talk you into giving him your boots or buy a magical crystal that’s more than likely a scam is unmatched. Also, he is Hot Guy. Naturally, he leans into bard with his natural ability to just tell stories, and all around be a likable person, but he is also good with a bow and sneaking up on people to shoot them (sorry, Hot Guy them) is one of the most iconic things about him to me. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

Before classes, here’s the half-elf features:

Darkvision 60 ft.

Fey Ancestry (advantage on saving throws vs being charmed)

Two extra skill proficiencies: athletics and sleight of hand

And the Faceless background features:

Proficiency in deception and intimidation

Proficiency with Disguise Kits

Faceless Persona: Hot Guy

At 1st level, we take a level in Bard. This grants us:

Proficiency in light armour

Proficiency in simple weapons, hand crossbows, longswords, rapiers, shortswords

Proficiency in three musical instruments: at least one should be a horn.

Proficiency in dexterity and charisma saving throws

Proficiency in three skills: Persuasion, Performance and Animal Handling

Bardic Inspiration: A pool of dice that you can grant yourself or party members to increase their rolls to help them succeed. With a 16 (+3) in charisma, we get three uses.

Two Cantrips: Mage Hand (you never know when you might need an extra hand) and Friends (That cheeky smooth talker, the funny part about this spell is that they know you conned them afterwards which is very accurate)

Four 1st lvl spells: Speak with Animals (Be quiet Jellie!), Tasha’s Hideous Laughter (he casts this on me a lot), Illusory Script (get people to sign some totally legit contracts) and Healing Word (just standard to take on a bard)

Scar will start off as much more of a utility-based party member. Without any damaging cantrips or spells, he’ll rely on his bow and party members in combat, but he’ll dominate social aspects of the game.

Unfortunately, bards can’t cast Find Familiar so there’s no Jellie summon at this level, but that will come later! Also, if you really don’t want Illusory Script (infamously useless spell) then you can take Charm Person instead.

At 2nd level, we take our second level in Bard. This grants us:

Jack of All Trades: adds half your proficiency bonus to all your skill checks. Now you’ll be useful in all situations.

Song of Rest: Extra healing during a short rest

One new spell:Faerie Fire (useful way to get advantage on lots of targets)

Scar really is good at a lot of aspects of the game, even if his goofy personality tends to make people forget. These features are all helpful different ways.

At 3rd level, we take our third level in Bard. This grants us:

Expertise in two skills: Choose Deception and Persuasion (you’ll have a ridiculously easy time convincing NPCs)

One new spell & access to 2nd level spells: Phantasmal Force (funny trickery spell)

Subclass: College of Whispers

College of Whispers grants:

Psychic Blades: expend bardic inspiration to deal extra 2d6 psychic damage on your weapon attacks. (This will go well with sneak attack later)

Words of Terror: You can attempt to frighten an isolated creature by talking to them for a minute. (Oh Maaaaartynnnnnn)

At 4th level, we start multiclassing by taking a level of Rogue. This grants us:

Proficiency in thieves’ tools

One skill proficiency: Choose Acrobatics

Expertise in two more skills: Choose Performance and Animal Handling

Sneak Attack: extra damage if you have advantage on your attack or an enemy of your target is next to them.

Thieves’ Cant: Secret language (perhaps Scar is too used to speaking this and that’s why he keeps mixing up his words like gongs and axolotls)

Now we get to the especially trickstery side of Scar. The side of Scar that will murder you. He doesn’t need stealth as a rogue because he’s going to get on your good side before he shoots you in the back.

At 5th level, we take a second level of Rogue. This grants us:

Cunning Action: Dash, disengage or hide as a bonus action.

Not much to say here either, cunning action is just useful. A bonus action disengage or dash helps with running away from people you’ve conned.

At 6th level, we take a third level of Rogue. This grants us:

Sneak Attack Upgrade (2d6)

Subclass: Assassin

Assassin grants:

Assassinate: You gain automatic critical hits on surprised targets and have advantage on attacks against anyone who hasn’t had a turn in initiative yet.

Bonus Proficiencies: Poisoner’s Kit and Disguise Kit* (overlaps with Background proficiency, talk to your DM about swapping out for a different proficiency)

The reasoning for this combo is that Scar can sweet talk people into a false sense of security, having them believe that he’s on their side. It will be much easier to get a surprise attack on them this way, and with the automatic crits you get big sneak attack damage that you can also stack Psychic Blades onto, which would also have its damage dice doubled. Assassins don’t have a lot going for them after the first round of combat, though, and this only works if you make the first move (getting snuck up on means you lose out on your biggest combo).

At 7th level, we take a fourth level of Rogue. This grants us:

Ability Score Improvement OR Feat. Take the Magic Initiate feat and choose the Wizard spell list to get two cantrips and a 1st lvl spell. For cantrips, choose Minor Illusion and Message. For the 1st lvl spell, take Find Familiar so you can finally summon your Jellie!

Realistically, Scar would never send Jellie into battle (or maybe he would if she starts meowing too loud) but Jellie can provide sneak attack. Just be careful with her! Outside of combat, she can be a kitty doing kitty cat things.

At 8th level, we take a fifth level of Rogue. This grants us:

Uncanny Dodge: Use a reaction to take half damage from an attack (that luck crystal sure comes in handy).

Sneak Attack Upgrade (3d6)

Uncanny Dodge greatly improves Scar’s survivability in a way only Scar would understand.

Summary:

Final Stats:

Str 12 (+1)

Dex 16 (+3)

Con 14 (+2)

Int 8 (-1)

Wis 8 (-1)

Cha 16 (+3)

Attack with a shortbow: +3 (dex) +3 (prof. bonus) = +6 to hit, 1d6 + 3 piercing dmg

Sneak attack: 3d6

Psychic Blades: 2d6 psychic dmg

Crit damage: 2d6 piercing (short bow) + 6d6 piercing (sneak attack) + 4d6 psychic dmg (psychic blades) +3 (dex) = 12 – 75 dmg

Cantrips: Mage Hand, Friends, Minor Illusion, Message

1st lvl spells: Speak with Animals, Tasha’s Hideous Laughter, Illusory Script, Healing Word, Faerie Fire

2nd lvl spells: Phantasmal Force

And that’s it for Scar! He seems like a really fun character to play in social scenarios with the ridiculous rolls you’ll get with your deception and persuasion. He may not be optimized for combat, but dnd isn’t all about combat and I think this build’s greatest strength is roleplay. If anyone has any feedback or suggestions, I would love to read them! ^^

Random Overwatch Writing Idea.

I love the idea of if Gerard survived the encounter with WidowMaker that Gerard would do anything to take down not just Talon but also WidowMaker without thinking of the implications that holds.

He just wants revenge at Talon & destroying their weapon WidowMaker and avenging his wife Amélie would bring him peace…or at least he thinks it would.

(Basically he separated WidowMaker from Amélie) He tries not to put too much thought into it, all he does is try focus on the mission and that anger.

If you want a comparison, he’s more akin to OW1 WidowMaker with no feeling replaced with just anger & resentment.

I also imagine that if WidowMaker (Overwatch 2 specially) ever saw Gerard again she would be floored. Flabbergasted and honestly show that side of emotion again.

Compared to OW1 she is showing more emotion…more anger at Talon and when it comes to Gerard. A lot. (Example when she’s all sassy to Solider 76 when telling him that G��rard preferred roses to lilies)

So I imagine this confused WidowMaker hiding her new found emotion to Talon so she doesn’t go through that trauma again and finding out Amélie isn’t totally dead…then encountering a angry supposed to be dead French man bashing through a window and throwing a dagger at her.

I imagine those interactions in game being damn interesting.

“Still angry at the fact I threw that dagger at you?”

“Yes.”

Oh, this one was hard because there were so many thoughts! In the end, I do think it would be a crossover AU of some sorts, where the characters from a fandom are set into another more fantastical or supernaturally themed world, and I do think there’d have to be a real grittiness and heaviness to the story contrasted by sparkling light hearted and cute moments that make you laugh and smile. Those light moments to me really reflect who you are to talk to, how accepting and fun and interesting you are, but the heaviness and dark themes give great nods as to how you’re never afraid to really tackle the serious topics with the respect they’re due.

RAINBOW: if i were to write a khr sequel, following Tsuna’s demise, and could only use my reader’s as characters, who would you be?

I do see you as being part of the Vongola. A competent Lightning Flame user, you’re not only a good strategist but part of the information network of the Vongola, a sort of master of disguise who uses their well-honed acting skills to become different people as situations call for it, doing the fieldwork as a spy and gathering important intelligence for the family.

I think this blood moon has been pretty rough on you. You may have experienced a lot of triggers, especially hiccups on stuff you thought you were done with. You might have been feeling pretty bad about it. I'm sorry, remember you don't have to feel bad: it's okay to have fallbacks. Be open to your new beginning. And remember your worth. Do never think anything bad about you, no matter the hiccups or fears or whatever your trauma wants you to think of you. OHHHH time to expose maxine 🤭

aside from writing a bunch of songs about him, she drank a lot. but unlike her process with her ex wherein she’d partied and slept around often, this time she just wallowed in her feelings at home because she didn’t trust herself to go out and not end up hooking up with someone. and she just knew that if she had another hookup the media would blow it up and she wouldn’t want evren to hear about it so she just avoided that situation altogether and stocked up on alcohol at home.

she was that sad girl who baked a lot but instead of baking, she’d make cheese boards. sometimes she’d invite her band over and even though maxine never told them about the fight with evren in detail, they already had a clue so they just went along with whatever she felt like doing—karaoke, board games, etc. as long as she wasn’t putting herself in danger. like they knew it was a “she’d get over it, she just needed to be dramatic first” kind of thing shdhsjsk

and there were nights when she thought she was doing better then she’d start crying again because she was missing him but she couldn’t do much about it because it was She said she wanted. so it was a cycle of writing and drinking and crying until she wasn’t hurting anymore.

i can imagine by the time evren released “somewhere this works” they were both already kind of healing so the first time maxine heard it, she legit shed a tear because a part of her found the whole thing bittersweet but at the same time, another part of her was genuinely proud of him and when she heard the we should be friends line she actually laughed like “evren you motherfucker….” dnfbskdksks

ok so max and miko….. i was actually debating on whether or not i’d make them friends because i can see maxine genuinely liking her because she’s chill and a bit out of the loop and indifferent when it comes to celebrities and their drama and it’s not like miko is the jealous type.

but like you said, max and ev had a whole thing going on and they were more like an “almost” than just a simple fling so i think miko and maxine would simply be acquaintances at least for a while—just to avoid the past being brought up and causing any tension. and before evren and miko make anything official, i think evren would try to sort everything out first and prove to miko that whatever he had with maxine is done.

he’s serious about miko now that he’ll probably say some shit like “if you want i’ll stop talking to her” and miko’s just like “i don’t want you to do that” “are you sure? because i will” and miko rolls her eyes trying to stifle a smile like “shut up” and i feel like even when the conversation becomes lighthearted after that, evren still feels a bit nervous so he’ll say something like “you believe me, right?” and his voice sounds small and kinda shaky and he adds “i’m serious about you, miko” and ughhh miko has already fallen head over heels in love with him and even with the media being annoying as fuck with the rumors, evren himself never gave her a reason to doubt him. like he always went out of his way to show her that he only has eyes for her and at that very moment she finds him so kissable so she kisses him and mutters against his lips “i believe you” <333

anyway i can imagine maxine and miko becoming friends eventually. not like super close but they definitely find each other cool and occasionally hang out with each other. like it helps that miko doesn’t easily get jealous so she really isn’t really bothered anymore because even before she and evren caught feelings, i imagine her already having read some rumors created by the media so she wasn’t entirely clueless about them. but yeah miko was the first to tell maxine that they’re good and that she’d hate it if maxine kept walking on eggshells around her <3

Day 385

Despite the fact I downloaded Baldur’s Gate 3 over a week ago I haven’t played it yet. In part because I’ve been busy (having full time work again throws my self schedule into chaos). However, the reason is largely due to the fact I’m still on a Harvestella kick weirdly enough, thanks to my gremlin brain, but also because I can’t choose what character class I want.

Normally in role play games, I choose some sort of magic or healer class, because class preference has a lot to do with playing style. For me, I prefer to hit enemies from a distance and have the ability to heal myself. And often, when playing, the choice of class is pretty clear cut. Do you want to do a lot of close up damage, far away damage, be able to take a lot of hits, be able to heal yourself… very straight forward.

When you’re choosing a class for a game based on Dungeons and Dragons, and knowing how the game rules work and have heard in passing what you can do in game, choosing a class becomes much harder.

On one sense, I would like to be a cleric, not just because I normally like classes that allow me to heal, but it’s a class that allows me access to all the spells for that class that exist in the game and I can switch out my prepared spells easily. Also, the idea of having Speak to the Dead, just so I can see what the dead have to say in the game sounds very interesting.

Or I could be a druid, and have Speak with Animals, and find out what all the animals are thinking. Maybe they have some juicy gossip in the game.

But, but, I also want to be a bard, and apparently the creators of this game have put in songs just for the bards to sing and I want to see that and perform those songs. That sounds like a lot of fun. Also, bards are great when you want to play in such a way that doesn’t involve combat, because they have just great ability stats.

The other, other choice, but not high on my list of classes to try, is the wizard. I don’t know if you can do this, but I want to see if I can find spells out in the wild and add them into my wizard’s spellbook like you would in a real life game. That sounds like a fun thing to do as well.

Which funnily enough, now that I’ve written this out, I realize the biggest difference with Baldur’s Gate 3 is that I’m not choosing a class to determine my combat play style, but rather what class will be the most amusing to me.
