Between Wakanda Forever and Quantumania I have come to the conclusion that I in fact could not be a hero in the MCU.
If Namor had asked me to join him the way he asked Shuri…I would have folded immediately and without question.
And if Kang had asked me to come with him the way he asked Janet…I would have also folded immediately and without question.
I am only human😪

call it projection but i dont think tony takes care of himself much. i know that boy has yellowish teeth and a bedhead that'll scare even the tasmanian devil.
so do you think that ever gets to him? like some nights he's just sittin there thinking about all the health bs he has going on. i imagine he'd spend hours just counting everything thats wrong with him. everything that hurts. like, his joints, chest, back, neck, teeth, eyes.
sounds horrible.
(I am talking about Tony pre-Infinity war)
I fully believe that Tony forces himself to continue being in the public eye because he dosn't know how else to motivate himself to take care of himself.
Every time he thinks about not brushing his teeth, he remembers the full-length article about how his teeth are yellowing, and how multiple reporters asked him about it after the article was released. Every time he considers a new haircut or facial hair style, he remembers the time he messed up shaving and had to sit through a 3 hour meeting about it, in which everyone tried to decide if Tony needs to just avoid public appearances until it regrows.
I think Tony is so very precise about how visible appearance, and for that reason, he is so sloppy with his non-visible health. He's got a stiff back from working through the night, and he likes it because nobody can see it. He's got acid reflux and he will never report it to a doctor because... who cares? The public doesn't, so he doesn't. He's got a shoulder that clicks every time he lifts his arm and doesn't give a shit, but if he gets a bloody nose he checks obsessively if the nose is not crooked.
And he will never let himself get out of the public eye, because then he would fall apart. If theres no crowd of eyes to keep him looking the part, he will stop being Tony Stark.

Did this guy just blame people for not liking Secret Invasion?
"Marvel's 'Secret Invasion' Director Admits He Does Not Care About Series' Poor Fan Reception."
Hate to put this detail out there, but he really should, given Secret Invasion is the latest in MCU's flops and it does not bode well for the future of the MCU if they keep doing flops like this, especially with Secret Invasion gaining the new record for lowest ratings in the MCU.
"Is it our job to fulfill their expectations?"
...Yes???
People are allowed to expect shit when they told their favorite thing is getting an adaption??? Especially when it comes to comics or the MCU???
Like, seems like a stupid thing to do here with blaming people for the shows failure to both adapt a comic storyline and to create a show, since I've seen MCU stans even admit they watched at first for a spy thriller show, but ended up not liking the show in the end for what it did with its directions and writing.
These are the people they meant to appeal to since they keep the MCU going, and even they didn't like the show in the end, and yet this man is out here acting like its their fault for not liking it???
And why?
Because, "Or to tell the story we're telling?"
What story?!
There is none in the actual show from the looks of things as it neither matches the comic storyline they adapting or makes sense as a show that was meant to be a spy thriller show only to go downhill, ending with a character becoming the Avengers team basically cause creating over-powered characters is definitely a way to get people to like the show.

quick theory about the new ep and i could be totally wrong but like is there any actual evidence the tva is keeping all the different branches from dying??? because it was mostly made to prune branches right?? so what if it's just 100% fine without the tva like if thats the way the world naturally is then there shouldnt need to be an organization made to keep it in place it should just. work naturally

thats EXACTLY what you deserve when your show is an epic, bait-and-switch failure that disregards the entire premise of the first two seasons, sidelines its main character, makes a mockery of his values & journey, erases its beloved tone, and has god awful writing which also destroys the characterization of almost every character.
honestly i am SO happy to hear this because Disney only speaks in $. the only reason we got Luke in Mando & TBOBF is because they so utterly tanked his appearance in the sequels & people were so mad about it they lost money.
i have ZERO doubt now Mando4 will be completely reversed to have the tonality/themes of the first two seasons, and we will be spared any continuation of the sad story of DisneyTerroristRewritePrincess Bo Katan's adventures as 3rd-Time-Cringefail Mand'alor.

i hate the commercialisation of the avengers inside the mcu both bc i find it cringy and meta but also bc it narratively doesn’t make sense.
we spent ten years establishing that the avengers are a contentious presence, civil war was literally about people not trusting them bc of what/who they are and now it’s almost completely erased and everyone loves them now? and don’t even get me started on rogers the musical
the way clint reacts makes it seem like the writers are trying to say it’s in poor taste but it’s less bc it trivialises a literal alien invasion but bc clint misses natasha and it hurts him to see an interpretation of her. not bc people are singing and dancing about an event that got hundreds if not thousands of people killed. the closest american equivalent i can think of is 9/11. people can’t even joke about it without being torn apart and it happened over 20 years ago. the battle of new york happened 10 years ago in the current mcu, the snap happened maybe a year ago, you’re telling me everyone’s chill with a musical about one of the worst days of their lives?
“i can do this all day” being their tagline encapsulates everything i dislike about it. the only people steve said that to were nazis that were immediately killed, tony who would never talk about what happened in siberia and the 2012 version of steve says it to him. no one else would know that phrase and acting like it’s something he crowed from the rooftops is at best a plot hole and at worse, an indictment of how little care the writers are having for the new era of the mcu
