Update:
Tumblr media
I am proud to announce that "Loyalty & Light" now has a date of return! Yeaaaah! That's right, we're back in business... soon. heh. Hopefully, now having a date will tide you all over.
Meanwhile, “The Most Undoing Thing” is well on its way and will follow a more sporadic update format. Meaning, it probably won’t be as frequent as y’all would like. If you still haven’t heard, TMUT is going to 20 chapters so we’ve got three left! Wooo!
But now, it's time to promote what else I got in the works:
Arcane/Legends of Runeterra, Mama Jinx future AU, multi-chapter story (Title: “The Most Undoing Thing”). Returns August 9th, uploads (somewhat) monthly basis.
The Owl House, Lealtad Noceda big sister/beta sister AU, multi-chapter story (Title: “Loyalty & Light”). Returns August 2nd, uploads biweekly basis.
The Owl House & The Ghost and Molly McGee crossover, crossover AU, multi-chapter story (Title: “The Light and Molly McGee”). Work in Progress. (not coming anytime soon).
The Walking Dead (TV series) & Telltale's The Walking Dead (game) crossover, crossover AU, Violetine, Rick meets Clem, multi-chapter story (Title: "The After"). Work in Progress (not coming anytime soon).
The Dragon Prince, Rayllum oneshot collection, multi-AU & canon compliant stories (Title: “Magic Between the Moon & Sky”). Still on hiatus! I've yet to actually even watch season 4! But it'll be back eventually!
Halloween Fics! It's early to promote now, but by October I have three oneshots of three different fandoms planned! All Halloween themed and with ships!
So yeah, we getting busy folks! I would like to lead with that though there are schedules in place, these are subject to change in events of burnout, personal matters, or just inconveniences like tech issues. Or there may be random fics that pop up that weren't listed but I just made for the Hell of it. Keeping up with the fic tags---which is usually the fic name plus "update" at the end---is the best way to stay up to date on my fic series/multi-chapter stories.
I should state for the record, I will be returning to university this coming Fall and working part-time more. I'm going to be more busy of course, but I swear I’m doing my best to make sure I'm not overwhelmed! ᕦ( ò_ó)ᕤ
As always, if you're curious about these WIP fics I have in store, don't be afraid to ask about 'em! I'm always down to answer asks ( ^‿^).
Also, here is my ko-fi. I stated this before, but there is no pressure or need to donate (especially since I haven't been posting as much 😅). Fanfiction is a fun hobby and practice for me, but it's also out of my own free time and effort. So if you want to show your appreciation you can buy me a Coffee but the easy way would be sending me a comment on my stories or simply sharing my works. At the end of the day, I do this to spread my passion but also to entertain others.
(☞゚ヮ゚)☞
By the way, tags with “bleh update” keep track of all incoming fic posts! And check out my Fandom Masterlist to see what I'm into! Also Here’s all my Fanfics!
That's all for now. Stay safe and take care all!
Until next post,
- Bleh

Drew this for @the5n00k‘s final chapter of “I Can’t Lose You” (hence why my usual review is taking so friggin long lol). This scene was so potent that I started this the moment I finished reading. I hope I did your vision justice, Snook! ❤

Old-timey Radio
My love for radio from the 30s to 50s was reawakened recently and I need to share some programs with you! Hazbin Hotel is to blame, one hyperfixation wasn't enough I guess!
"The Shadow" > ( The one I referenced in my fanfic "Denial of closeness")
Radio program that ran from 1937 to 1954. The title character, a caped vigilante, was one of the most enduring and influential creations of the pulp era.
"Inner Sanctum Mysteries" is a horror show from the 40s! You can find it easily on You-Tube!
https://www.youtube.com/playlistlist=PLvu2oOrWFl_P_cytYyuhfOwK8iELqaKXa
1941 to 1952 It features horror and suspense stories with creaking doors and eerie music.
"Fibber McGee and Molly" radio comedy show! Features an old married couple!
“Lights Out”  Another US horror!
terrifying and suspenseful stories, often with gruesome and unexpected twists.
You can listen to it on Internet Archive!
“Suspense”  Crime and Mistery
It featured famous actors from the time!
You can find it on YouTube!
“The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes”
Do I even have to write a description?
You can listen to them on the Internet Archive!
Radio dramas may have fallen out of style but podcasts and audiobooks still have the same feeling to them! People really love to hear stories!

Tgamm S1 Ep 10-A ¨Festival of Lights¨ Episode analysis
Tumblr media
Episode Writer: Peri Segel
Libby invites Molly and the rest of the Mcgee family to celebrate the last day of  Hanukkah. Together they spend the night while Libby shows them her traditions...
¨Festival of Lights¨ is an episode that it’s hard to talk about because it contains a lot of different things and the themes it explores. The episode is divided in 8 segments, which is a reference to the 8 days of Hanukkah. This is a creative way to do the premise and it’s a nice to represent this important Jewish tradition.
To do this analysis, i’m going to talk about the episode in general and then highlight segments that require a more detailed observation.
For starters, i think one thing that makes ¨Festival of Lights¨ so effective it is that there are plenty of funny moments while Libby shows all these different jewish traditions to the McGee family. It manages to represent Hanukkah in a way that makes it very entertaining for the viewers to watch. In addition to this, everyone is very in character. The interactions between Libby and the Mcgee family are pretty sweet to see, There is some great character development for Libby and Scratch as characters, which makes it even more worth watching it.
Another thing i noticed it is that this episode has been praised as one of the best representations of Hannukkah in an animated show. I have seen many people who are from jewish community talk about how accurate it is and that they really appreciate it. Now, i’m not jewish myself to fully judge this aspect but get the impression that people who worked in this story went an extra step in comparison to other shows. Each segment explores a different part of Hannukah. There is one about food, one about history and another about games. There are things i haven’t seen in animated series before in Hanukkah themed specials.
Moving on the segments, the first has one of two songs sequences. The whole lyrics involve Scratch singing about how much he loves fried food, not, really- that what the song is about and it’s pretty good. It has a 40′s-50′s jazz vibes to it, separating it from other songs of the show. The visuals are excellent. They are imaginative and very funny. We see Libby and Scratch acting friendly to each other while Libby shows Scratch the variety of food there is.
The Fourth segment is about the ¨miracle box¨. It’s about people writing something they consider a miracle that happened to them that year, put it inside the box and then other people have to read it out loud. There is a very sweet moment Leah, Libby’s mother, mentions that  Libby is her ¨miracle¨. I like how Leah really cares about her daughter. It’s cute. The highlight of this segment is Scratch doing the best he can to stop others from reading his miracle. He is very anxious during the entire the scene, showing that he doesn’t want others to read his not out loud. When Pete reads Scratch’s miracle it is revealed to be ¨I used to haunt a house, now i haunt a home¨ and all of them quickly hug Scratch because of how heartwarming it is. Before the events of the series, Scratch was completely living alone by himself. When the Mcgees moved in, the house became a home for him because found himself becoming part of the Mcgee family. Although he still feels nervous about telling others how he feels, it’s nice to see him admitting that he considers himself a Mcgee now.
The fifth segment involves the second song sequence of Libby reciting a poem based on Hanukkah. It’s great to see that her overcoming her stage fright is continued here with performing in front of an audience. Lara Jill Miller’s performance is very moving here. You can feel this is imporant for Libby. She enjoys celebrating her culture and reciting poetry.
The seventh is, perhaps, the most well known segment from this special. It’s about a flashback scene showing how Leah’s ancestors were survivors of the  Kristallnacht event and fleed to America to start a new life. The menorah was passed down generation to generation until Leah inherited it. It’s a beautiful mature sequence for what usually it is a lighthearted show. It was very bold of the team to do this scene and without barely any line of dialogue required. It remains subtle at the same time it easy for the younger audience to understand the implications. I rarely see animated series referencing historical events, so, this is highly appreciated.
The story ends with what it is the eighth last segment. The lights return to the city (they went out at the start of the episode). Molly finds out that Scratch has eaten all the latkes and pops his stomach as all the Mcgee family laughs, Scratch included.
In conclusion:  ¨Festival of Lights¨ is an excellent episode with very heartwarning moments. It’s a great representation of Hanukkah and explores it in multiple ways. It also touches complicated themes in a way that is well executed. Easily one of the best episodes of this season.

Okay, I'll bite: whats this The Owl House and The Ghost and Molly McGee crossover you got in the works?
Tumblr media
Well, I talk about about it a bit here
But essentially, it's a What If? style AU that asks if the McGees made their Forever Home in Gravesfield rather than Brighton. It'll follow Molly McGee adjusting to her new more permanent life, while also following Luz Noceda, who manages to brefriend the new girl in town.
Molly has quickly replaced Luz as my favourite cartoon character of all time (bumping her down to second, I know, tragic), but I find the two's personalities to mesh so darn well. A good driving force for this AU's themes is friendship, but also acceptance. Because I aim to create a story that highlights that Luz isn't that weird of a kid, she just needs a good friend... and enter: Molly.
It'll be more slice-of-life oriented, but also cover big themes about past trauma and semi-realistic issues. Things like Luz's grief with her Dad and her Bisexuality, but also Molly's attachment issues and sense of permanence since she not only moved around so much but left friends behind. AND, involving a lot of family. Not just Camila, but also Pete and Sharon because I just know these three parents would vibe so well.
Hope that's a good sell, Anon. But to be honest? This fic is nowhere near ready yet! Still in the works! But the good news is it's gonna be like L&L and TMUT, another longer standing work I'm happily devoted to! ( ^‿^)
Until next ask,
- Bleh

Reminder that "The Ghost and Molly McGee" episode "Festival of Lights" has quite possibly the best Hanukkah representation I've seen in animation.

I really hate this notion that just because I tend to prefer serialized shows then that automatically means that I hate episodic shows.
As a kid who grew up in the 90's, I was practically raised by episodic shows.
If I didn't grow up watching Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, The Simpsons, Rocko's Modern Life etc. then I honestly wouldn't have fallen in love with animation to begin with.
The serialized format isn't the "Be all end all" reason for why I like certain shows. Trust me, I've watched plenty of terrible isekai and shonen anime with serialized formats. It's not the only thing I look for when it comes to judging whether or not I'm gonna like a certain show.
No, I don't hate Big City Greens. When I joked about Disney Animation Executives wanting to cancel every show in order to keep it on the air forever, I was expressing my disappointment in the fact that Disney (Like so many other companies.) would rather play it safe than take any risks.
I mean for fuck's sake, they didn't even wait for Hamster and Gretel to find an audience before green lighting a Phineas and Ferb revival.
If the company wants more episodic shows instead of serialized shows, then why don't they commit to it? Why is The Ghost and Molly McGee's future uncertain when that show already fits the episodic format criteria?
Nothing against Big City Greens, but the possibility that it might end up outlasting all these other shows makes no sense to me.
