A thing I'm working on...
So, I'm currently working on a Winx Club fusion MDZS fanfic and wrote the first instance of empathy. I don't know if it will stay in the end, but in the meantime, I intend to use this for the final story. under the cut is the written product.
Not knowing what else to do, Wei Wuxian touched the comb and gently picked it up, ready to bring it back, before he was filled with another person's memory. He knew of the magic used, he had developed it to connect with Suibian in Yilling after all, when the pixie had been too young to speak more than the gibberish infants spoke. He knew this kind of magic and knew it was futile for him to try to block it, so he let it happen.
Grey filled her vision immediately when she opened her eyes. The white walls of her prison turned grey from the dim light outside. It was daytime, she knew, the bells for the night rest not having sounded yet. She wondered if her ‚husband‘ -the word, a curse and cuss all in one- would visit her again this night. She had born him an heir already and his visits had lessened over her pregnancy and her recovery from birth, but now, a year after her son was born, they had started again. Did he hope to bind her to him more, when he made her pregnant with a second child?
She snorted, an undignified sound nobody could punish her for as she served the greatest punishment already. She knew his son would soon be taken from her, only allowed to visit a few times a week until they would let him forget about her altogether. She was not sure she would survive the separation, but she had to try. Her ‚husband‘ -she still did not know how the man could be called that- did not know about the tiny spark of magic and life growing inside her.
It had been many years and everything still was grey and lonely in her prison. Her youngest son had turned six a few days ago. She had not been allowed to see him on this proud day, it was not the allowed time for the visit of her children. Once a week, always on the same day of the week, at the same time, she would have her sons back in her arms. She knew of the strain it put on her sons, saw them freezing their emotions under emotionless ice and rigid stone, as their uncle taught them that emotions were the downfall of their life. It strangled the magic inside them and maybe it damaged it as well.
She was interrupted in her musings as two sets of arms hugged her from her sides, her oldest son on her right, her youngest on the left. They soon composed themselves again, her youngest turning so fiercely serious, that she couldn’t help but tease him about it. She could feel her time slipping, her health failing and wished to only impart and leave happy memories for her sons. They were the only good thing coming out of the ‚marriage‘ -a word as cursed and acridly stale tasting as the word describing her relationship with the man responsible for her plight-.
It was the day before her sons would visit again, a week after her youngest sixth-year celebration when she felt her time run out. She struggled with breathing, the everlasting grey turning dark and black, drowning in the salty bitter tears she couldn’t contain with her waning strength. Her voice had left a few hours ago, leaving her unable to utter her death wishes. She thought about her two sons, about their pale faces, burdened and marked by life's hardships already, and wished with her last strength for their happiness.

Something I made in a post that I think'll be lost in the texts + expanded a bit more
These panels are chronological events following AFO's pursuit of Yoichi's Factor.
AFO could tell if people were related through a Quirk. AFO and OFA also are connected to each other. In Kamino, AFO could confidently tell All Might that OFA had been passed on, so all that All Might had left were leftover embers.
When AFO killed Kudo, he asked where Yoichi was. He knew Kudo wasn't the holder of Yoichi's Factor at that time. He also realized when looking at Yoichi's hand that Yoichi's natural Factor was so weak he hadn't registered its existence. This implies AFO could sense Factors since he was young, and Yoichi's natural Factor never stood out to him.
Below are three panels of Bruce (right to left). Bruce fought, AFO killed him, and looked away in disinterest.
When he beat down Bruce, he already had a sense that Bruce didn't hold the Factor anymore. That's why, rather than yell in his face to figure out where it is and interrogate for a long time, he pulled up his corpse to inspect him better.
Bruce's corpse isn't resisting anything. Look at his feet; AFO literally dragged him. Bruce is already dead. Yet he's looking for something from him.
Bruce doesn't have anything for him. Nothing AFO wants.
When he looks away, he's dismissing Bruce, because Bruce doesn't hold Yoichi. AFO is wondering where Yoichi is, because he knows now that he's out there somewhere. Thus the pensive look to the wind.
After Bruce is killed, AFO and Garaki meet for the first time. Shinomori has Yoichi at this time, and AFO never comes close to him, so AFO is lost. He doesn't have any leads, and Yoichi has vanished.
Now that he knows Yoichi can transfer, it's possible for Yoichi to be kept out of his reach for the rest of his life. So meeting Garaki and having access to Life Force gives AFO more time to search.
Yoichi is still missing for 18 years though, because Shinomori is in hiding. AFO couldn't find him during the Fourth's turn.
This is why, when he encounters Banjo, the Fifth and active wielder of OFA [Yoichi], AFO is smiling.
It's been a long time, but Yoichi's in reach again. He knows where he is now. And this is the first time he's encountered the current holder.
Thus his shock.
[Yet... you never behave as I wish.]
It was the first time a Quirk wouldn't let itself be stolen. This was AFO's first encounter with this wall: it doesn't transfer without the holder's consent, and requires willpower stronger than all the holders combined to override that.
The holder is never going to give him that consent. To override the collective willpower, he's going to need something greater.
Meanwhile, look at Banjo's arms. Shinomori is the catalyst to tip OFA over the edge, that an unprepared vessel will be destroyed by how strong the Quirk is.
Banjo's arms are both messed up below the shoulder, just like Midoriya used to be. And like Midoriya uses Blackwhip to reinforce himself and stay standing, Banjo uses Blackwhip to hold his fist / arm together. His hand is being wrapped to stay in a fist.
(What I think is) The reason the limbs turn red, and then purple, from breakage, is a matter of blood vessels. Small, itty bitty, fragile things.
Using OFA breaks the whole area, from bones to blood vessels, causing internal bleeding. Thus the redness. But breaking those vessels again in a second go turns the area purple, because it causes instantaneous internal bruising.
But En wasn't ripped apart by using OFA. There's a cut on his thumb that lines up with the path of destruction; AFO sliced him in half. Otherwise, he wouldn't have that cut if it were just OFA.
It's hidden by the text in [... you never behave as I wish], but depending on where you see this chapter, you can see he got cut on the thumb. It's clearer where we see Nana take his hair from him, in [I only want... to make you mine!]
I have a post in drafts about En being cut in half rather than it being because of OFA, but I also hit an image limit, so I'm gonna end here. Ta.

forgive me if i lose tubbo character analysis points (rolls eyes heavily) over this or something but i honestly dont think the date was very ooc or that the frubbo romance is going to be played as something that makes qtubbo better. obviously qtubbo gained a lot of trust issues and lost a lot of hope in others + started to strongly believe that love only hurts after purgatory and the funeral. and hes an extremely defeatist guy at heart
but he also makes exceptions because no matter how much he tries to disconnect himself he still cares so so much about others. he has such a weird fucked up view of love and justifies seeing sunny as an exception by saying they wont hurt each other because their love is unconditional and yet he also claims empanada isnt safe when bagi is around because the eye workers will use that connection to their advantage And Yet he constantly looks after and takes care of sunny anyways. even though hes already mourning her before theyve even died. even though by his own logic it may be safer for sunny to not be with him
and like.. he says dont get attached empathy makes you weak but he tries to ruin fit & pacs date so they dont abandon him. he still jokes around with them and has happy moments with them bc ultimately theyre his friends and even if they dont Really understand what hes going through or what would help him they want to be there for him and make him happy and they Do make him happy. bc qtubbo doesnt spend all of his time with his friends whining and groaning about how theyre going to leave him some day and despite being suicidal and defeatist and at times a fucking jerk that isnt his whole personality
depressed people Have happy days. they have ups and peaks in their life and yeah actually many of them do manage to have nice relationships and theres a lot of depressed people out there who are fully capable of just. not being complete downers to be around all the time (cough a lot of comedians have depression cough). if anything i would argue it isnt just in character but realistic for qtubbo to be able to just. have a normal date where hes a bit of a loser and manages to get through an actual confession
and its not like hes going all in oh we're dating and we're going to get married now bc he doesnt even consider themselves boyfriends and he turns down sunny claiming fred as another parent. he just had a happy day and it boosted his mood a little. i dont think fred is really on his list of trusted people and in fact i feel like him just being very silly and awkward during the date is a Part of him not fully trusting fred or wanting to be super serious around/with her. i think to qtubbo fred symbolizes sure some pain from the whole funeral situation but also still a lot of happier simpler times and ultimately a time where tubbo was happier and openly hopeful
if anything, tubbos relationship with fred is another form of escapism for him. of course it isnt going to make him better. he literally brought fred to him and sunnys island where they plan to live far away from everyone to avoid their problems. its all a fantasy for him, and one that he isnt even allowing himself to fully jump into but will joke about and dance around the subject of nonetheless

Like obviously there's a ton of reasons why jason just didnt kill joker in utrh or in any subsequent comics after, first and foremost being that he's dc's little cash cow, but I always did like the in universe explanation being that Jason himself doesn't want the joker to die
Not bc the joker is important to Jason in anyway shape or form quite the opposite in fact, joker dying wouldn't benefit Jason bc the joker doesnt matter to him outside of being a living constant reminder of Bruce's failure that can be used to hurt both himself and bruce, if jokers dead then the healing process can start and Jason doesn't want that he wants to be angry and hurt
So Jason doesn't go kill Joker to get revenge bc he already got his revenge when he beat Joker with a crowbar in utrh and killing the Joker himself wouldn't bring him any more catharsis since he doesn't really care about the clown outside of using him as a prop in his ongoing feud with Bruce

Having an insane elven duo moment (scar and Gem. They plague my mind.)
They are QPR to me.
My long ass rambles under the cut.
I'm thinking about my elven hair headcanon I made a post about a bit back where elves don't do their own hair but close friends, family members or partners do their hair. If an elf has unkempt hair that means they are lonely and don't have any close relationships.
I'm thinking about secret life and how Scar was all alone until the end. The fleeting alliance he had towards the end wasn't anything close to what Scar needs from an ally or a friend.
I'm thinking about Scars hair becoming more and more of a mess as the game goes on. I'm thinking about how he didn't die at the end of secret life and how in Martyns lore he gets stuck in secret life.
I'm thinking about Scar getting back on hermitcraft and Gem doing his hair. Washing his hair with warm water and a soft smelling shampoo and conditioner. Gem softly brushing out his hair and braiding it.
Scar breaking their silence after a while and apologizing for killing her at the end and for killing so many other people and for being a villain.
I'm thinking about Gem telling him it's alright, she knows it was the tasks. They all know. They all did bad stuff.
Thinking about Gem giving him a kiss on the cheek and wiping away his tears.
-
I'm thinking about Gem having a rough time after her first proper life game.
She had Scott and Impulse to do her hair over the course of the game. She had allies. But she can't shake the weird restlessness of being red. She can't shake the feeling of needing to kill someone.
Thinking about Gem trying to deal with everything on her own.
Scar eventually talks to her and he tells her it's gonna be hard. And if she needs she can always go to him.
Thinking about Scar washing her hair for the first time after the game is over.
Thinking about Gem being stiff and nervous and on edge. Scar doesn't blame her.
Thinking about Scar hugging Gem while they watch a movie.
I'm just thinking about them supporting each other after Secret life that's all.
