Note
Since the results haven’t been revealed yet idk if I’m right but here was my logic for picking mentors: Since there was no sign of either being interested in healing that cut out Sage and Odd, plus Gold, Russet, and Yarrow since they already have apprentices. Alder definitely isn’t in a good place to have an apprentice of her own yet, and I eliminated Osprey for both since Fog and Slate would naturally be training together a lot, which would make things awkward for Fog. That left me with three options for both, and Panther seemed like the obvious choice for Slate to me since he’s a fairly gentle cat and it was mentioned that Slate would need someone like that. So I only had Branch and Scorch to pick between for Fog, and I’ll be honest, we haven’t really seen enough of Branch to get a good read on his personality/if he’d be a good mentor for Fog. Scorch meanwhile can at the very least push back against Fog and match her energy, which it definitely seems she needs in order to keep a handle on her
Excellent logic! I'm very impressed and proud of the people who managed to figure it out.

𝕷𝖔𝖗𝖊/𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖘: ~The most renowned of the Norse goddesses. She ruled over love, fertility, battle, and death, as well as witches and magic in general. Her father was Njord; a sea god, and either Nerthus or Skadi. She was a beautiful goddess. -She traveled on a chariot lead by two cats and after they had served her for 7 years, she rewarded them by turning them into witches. -There once was a follower of Frey that lived in Midgard. He was an orphan names Ottar. He was very pious towards Freya and built a shrine of stone, a horgr/hearg (a type of altar or cult site, possibly consisting of a heap of stones), and made many offerings to her. The orphan had build a life for himself; with a plot of land- despite his upbringing. However- people began moving in on his land, and with his little to no connections he couldn't do much. Ottar was honest, wise, generous, and brave in the face of danger. One day, when he returned to his home, next to his altar -there stood Freya. She suggested he go with him on an adventure to Asgard. The awestruck Ottar simply nodded in agreement, and in an instant- Freya turned him into a ferocious looking boar with golden fur (quite similar to her brothers boar) On the way to Asgard, Freya stopped by and demanded that Volva -a sorceress- tell them of Ottar's ancestry. As the sorceress explains, Ottar was descended from noblemen, kings, and even gods. After spending a day in Asgard, dinning with the gods, they returned the Midgardian to his home. He lived an adventurous life from then on, before dying and going to Valhalla to dine with the gods once again.
-She was extremely drawn to the forge of the four dwarves named; Dvalinn, Alfrik, Berling, and Grer. She sees them making the finest necklace she'd ever seen, and is immediately filled with desire for the object. She offers them silver and gold for it but the dwarves refuse. They say that they will give it to her in exchange for each of them to get a night with her. The necklace was gorgeous, gleamed like the sun and called to her same as Mjollnir to Thor, both symbolizing her and embodying her power- so the goddess agreed. -She has a falcon feather coat -basically same as Frigg's- that allows the wearer to fly (usually as a falcon) this coat gets borrowed by Loki multiple times.

Children that never were: Fernpaw & Tanglepaw
Tumblr media
What if the patrol that caught Alderstar moved a little faster, or was sent out a little earlier, and he was caught before the killing blow?
Fernpaw was sent out to gather herbs with her father while Myrtlewing healed him. Myrtlewing was about to poison him, angry that he got Alderstar caught, when Fernpaw returned too early and caught him. She rushed to give Tanglepaw yarrow to puke up the poison while Cedarsky and Myrtlewing fought.
With Myrtlewing in exile as well now, Fernpaw was the only medicine cat. But a new problem emerged: Fernpaw could no longer stand herbs, or being in the medicine den, or anything that reminded her of the mentor that betrayed her, betrayed them all.
Gorsedaisy saw this, and told Rainstar that someone else ought to be trained as the medicine cat. Either she trained them, or a medicine cat from another Clan did. The replacement medicine cat was Cedarsky, who wanted to take his daughter's trauma away as much as he could.
Fernpaw was three moons late in her warrior training, and received much help from Tanglepaw, who felt a deep connection to her as well as a debt he needed to pay. After all, she saved his life.
The two became very close, and it came as no surprise to anyone when they became mates not long into their warriorship.
The two had two daughters (one mtf), and lived a long, happy life. Or at least they would have, if Myrtle and Alder hadn't found them again.

Sabbats: Lughnasadh Basics and Correspondences
Lughnasadh is one of the four Celtic Cross Quarter Festivals, also referred to as the fire festivals. It is the first of three harvest festivals held in the fall. As the grain and corn are gathered and preserved for the season, farmers celebrated the last of the long and warm days of summer.
The cross quarters are linked to an old farming calendar. This was a time when people were very close to the land and their lives were governed by the changing of the seasons and the need to grow enough food to survive. Modern Irish Gaelic calls the month of August Lúnasa which is the modern variation of Lughnasadh. The name originates from Lugh, a mythological hero to some, sun god to others.

6/2/23-Lakeside and home
Beautiful morning bird song from Blackbird, a bee, and more pretty yellow forsythia on the hedge out the front on a brilliantly sunny day and it was one of those days that told you spring is near. I took the third picture in this photoset of the forsythia.
The sunshine lifted today so well, it was nice to enjoy being outside at Lakeside on my lunch time walk and admire the sunny conditions from home, with many other people out enjoying it at lunch time. Such lovely vibes. I enjoyed bare branches glowing in a milky fashion in the bright sunlight at Lakeside and home today and clear and radiant blue water at Lakeside. I took the first and eighth pictures in this photoset of trees seen from my room today, seventh of a tree on the way to Lakeside seen on the way back and fifth picture in this photoset of a beautiful view at Lakeside today. It was good to see nice red at sunrise and sunset today, I took the ninth picture in this photoset of the latter. Then it was a pleasure to watch a still quite full looking snow moon in a golden glow rise high this evening as I had dinner. It was great to get opportunities for more photos of it one of the most memorable sets of moon shots this past week and the clear conditions have allowed me to enjoy this celestial wonder. I took the tenth and final picture in this photoset of it. It was good to see yarrow seed heads, daisy, dandelion and scrumptious looking violets in the area between the lakes at Lakeside and on the way at lunch time, with striking viburnum, daffodil shoots, lavender, steeplebush, some rose hips and firethorn hanging on, the greening buddleia mixing with some bramble seen from my room a great focal point of the view out my window with buddleia seen nicely in the garden by the Lakeside visitor centre today too and the stunning orange flower on the balcony which the second picture in this photoset shows nice to see from home today.
In the golden glow of the winter sunlight, I enjoyed breathtaking views of Long-tailed Tit including one glowing as it suspended itself from a lake side alder and a Goldecrest fluttering and weaving through the branches along the woodland path at Lakeside at lunch time. It struck me I must make the most of such views of these birds, two absolute stars of my winter especially here with so many times seeing them, as they’ll be a bit harder to catch sight of when the leaves reappear. Black-headed Gulls swirling in something of a feeding frenzy I enjoyed seeing them flying I took the sixth picture in this photoset of one, Greylag Goose, Mallards with the male’s alluring blue heads and Moorhen were birds I saw so well in the bright sunlight at beach lake with Tufted Duck and Coot seen elsewhere on the walk too. It was good to hear Wren. Greylag Geese dominated my day with them seen flying past the house a few times including atmospherically at dusk as their numbers at Lakeside build edging towards spring and the breeding season. I enjoyed Robin, Blue Tit and Woodpigeon in the garden today I’d not seen a Woodpigeon actually in the back garden for ages and it came up off the feeding tray into a buddleia bush I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in the bush before in the garden. It was a corvid day too with excellent views of Magpie at Lakeside which I took the fourth picture in this photoset of and Jackdaw and Carrion Crow seen out the back I heard crowing today too loudly which was nice.
Wildlife Sightings Summary: Collared Dove seen well at home today too them and Woodpigeon with birds chasing each other on the roof out the back was interesting to watch, House Sparrow seen well in the garden, Blue Tit, Robin, Starling, Goldcrest, Long-tailed Tit, Magpie, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, Greylag Goose, Mallard, Tufted Duck, Coot, Moorhen, Black-headed Gull, Herring Gull, the bee and an insect flying about at home tonight. I heard Wren and Blackbird.
