Oh boy!

So Alt-Michael has taken over Dean’s body and absconded to parts unknown - what an unprecedented plot twist who could’ve possibly seen this coming, certainly not Dean, the one guy who doesn’t trust angels and has a history of being short-sighted & making shitty deals.

Since this is season 14, and there’s only 1 more season after this, I presume Dean will never grow out of these bad qualities 🤦🏾‍♀️, so…moving on.

Check you out Sam, leading your new band of hunters, like some sort of Hunters Incorporated©️. I’m glad Sam gets to spend more time with his mom, but he won’t let her take care of him 😔😭

Was it me or did that Michael & Anael scene feel like Jensen x Danneel role play 🤣 - at least when he caressed her face. Like really bro? I don’t think the scene would’ve played out that way if the actors weren’t actual husband and wife 🤣

Shoutout to Supernatural for keeping Mark Pellegrino employed lol 😂😂 cuz I don’t see Why the fuck he’s still around if the devil is supposedly dead - wasn’t Mark P. also doing 13 reasons why around this time?? Anywho, Nick, luci’s longtime vessel, isn’t dead???? What does Nick have that jimmy novak didn’t (or literally any other angel vessel for that matter) — plot convenience? That must be it 🤣🤣🤣

Oh Jack, poor guy feels worthless for having no power. He should’ve been like ‘Castiel what’s it like being worthless?’ since that was Castiel’s arc for a minute too, which again fuck Supernatural for. Cas had like 1 badass moment last season when he fried Donatello’s brains but that’s it. Meanwhile Nick totally called Cas out, bringing up Jimmy again and driving that guilt straight into Castiel.

Alt-Michael is recruiting?? Brief Dean cameo in 14x02, you give him like 2 lines, wow 😒. Even Sam got more screen time in 5x22 swan song…but Dean suddenly comes back at the end of the episode???? Nah, bullshit!

Also lol karma for Dean in 14x02 when Jack is like, ‘Dean doesn’t matter’, Michael has to be stopped. Ahahahahahahaha. He was the so called pragmatist when it came to Jack, now it’s Jack’s turn. Castiel’s face when jack said it tho…

Dean got stabbed by AU Kaia? What?? Oh look yet another instance of Dean running away from his problems and pain and being a dick to Kaia (though she's technically a different person) again! Good for you tho AU Kaia for giving Dean a taste of his own medicine and telling him off.

So some necromancer gets away from Jack & Dean but we’re not gonna see her again, right??? There’s just a little over 30 episodes left in the show at this point. They probably didn’t know that at the time though.

Shoutout to the devil for basically condemning his child to die from a lack of grace :/ while Cas was able to survive (cuz plot convenience most likely) Jack as a nephilim was unable to do so. Gabe’s spare angel grace couldn’t help (I wonder if he were still alive in canon, if it would’ve made a difference. Oh well).

So this is where Cas made the deal with the empty (yes I know about it, how doesn’t everyone that shit went viral the very night it originally aired amidst the infamous nail-biting 2020 election week), tumblr is still serving the memes to this day.

Sam doesn’t want Alt-Charlie to go when its like bro! She. Is. Not. Charlie!!! For fuck sake guys SMH, let her live her fucking life! God forbid she want to run away to fucking safety and not die bloody like her counterpart 🤬

Bobby and Mary run off to a cabin for weeks on end 😏😂 to recuperate, sure Mary 🤣

Garth is back! Working as a spy for the Winchesters, oh dear Lord no. I know he makes it to season 15 but maaaan I don't like this….

The nerve of Dean to challenge Alt-Kaia to either hand over the weapon or kill her. What if she just killed him? Also, can't they just replicate the weapon for their own uses? All they would need to do is ensure they're using the same materials Kaia did when she forged the weapon in her own world.

How many hits to the head is Sam supposed to fuckin' take? I feel like it's happened more in this season alone than the entire show so far? He should probably be dead at this point 🤣

Jack got taken, oh no! why didn't Michael kill him? To take him as a ward? Seriously? Whatever.

And it turns out the past episode was a long con to get Dean right where Alt-Michael wanted him. I know there was a catch to him letting Dean go in 14x02.

So Alt-Michael chose to trap Dean in…contentment? With Pamela Barnes? And they weren't even a couple, just friends. She called him out on something.

Why not have him be with a real girlfriend of his, like Lisa or even Cassie? I’m supposed to believe Dean's dream is an unsuccessful bar living out his days with a platonic lady friend??? Really??? Bullshit!

John returns for the final time to go back to 2003? Okay. His hair is cut and grayish. Lol so I’m gonna see that as John gained some weight (from food/drink or muscle training idc) and dyes his hair black but the root are grey and come out every so often 🤣 but yay JDM I wish you had been in more episodes! Oh well.

So no one’s gonna talk about:

a) Adam’s existence

b) Bobby X Mary or how Bobby essentially replaced john as the father/husband by getting involved with Mary AND being a surrogate father to Sam & Dean (with a clear preference to Dean but whatever)

I’d care more about Sam & John’s convo if we had more time with them together on screen. But it was nice to see them squash their beef.

Dean & John’s convo was faaaar too brief. But insightful to their relationship. John wanted dean to have a family, echoing his wishes for his eldest in season 1 in his convo w/ Sam.

But Dean was like I have a family 🥺 my emotions!

Back to the Michael bullshit – a fight with a gorgon fucked up his containment so he literally broke out of Dean's body and killed all the hunters who were conveniently at the bunker when they brought an unconscious Dean back there. Even poor unfortunate Maggie. For a second I thought Mary would be there since Maggie mentioned she was on her way back but no, he ended up possessing Rowena.

Then they bring the old angel torture device of disabling our heroes' ability to breathe, like in the season 5 premiere, making them blind (that's new) and making them hurt.

Jack gets his chance to take Michael down, and takes his grace??????

Oh Sam bby, it's not your fault. Those people were doomed no matter what. TBH I'm surprised they lasted this long. But cuz he's a Winchester and he was raised by Dean & they've rubbed off each other too much at this point (nobromo), he decides to focus on yet another case even when Dean himself isn't willing since big bro has pointed out they have done 3 cases back to back. They're not the young men they used to be lol.

Cas goes with Sam to a milkshake town and given his legendary levels of awkwardness he's immediately seen and called out for his inherent queerness by the townsfolk (in all senses of the word).

Aw Sam wants to stay, ofc he does. This town is simple and peaceful. He could use some of that. Too bad this place is making people's heads explode.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Oftentimes since Jack started in this show, he's felt like an intern and 14x16 is one of those times. They don't wanna bring jack along so they think to leave him alone doing chores. Good Lord.

Oh honey Sam you didn't have to tell the sheriff you're not FBI, just stick to the monster stuff. He knows what's up.

And Jack sweetie pie you don't need to impress those kids. He should be hanging out with kids his own age. Just Jack with a bunch of babies 🤣. So cute! My headcanon is that he can actually talk to them. At least then it wouldn't have ended with a stabbing. Thankfully he cleaned up his mess, even though the local kids are terrified of him. It’s a shame he doesn’t have friends. If only he was allowed to have Claire in his life.

They finally resolved the Nick storyline (I hope) by killing him off via Jack but Mary is not happy. She’s concerned. She’s been concerned about him the whole frickin episode since he sassed her as they tried setting up a game night with Dean.

It’s like these people keep forgetting what Jack is capable of.

He didn’t have to relish the kill though. On the other hand, it felt like Mary’s concern was a bit much — if it were me I would’ve kept my mouth shut as to not upset a powerful fledging being into killing me by accident.

So Mary dies…again.

This is also why we can’t have nice things. I know Dean’s never gonna let this shit go. Sure Cas has fucked up a bunch, but killing a direct blood relative of Dean’s…nope. That’s unforgivable. I know they’re not gonna let Dean kill off a kid but I know he’s NEVER ever gonna forget Jack’s role in Mary’s (second) demise.

Why couldn’t you leave the boy alone Mary?!?!?!!?!

The boys show up, did they not circle back to pick up their mother? Seriously? Goodness Lord. So depressing watching the brothers just assuming their mommy’s coming back 😭

Cas (cuz of course this shit went tits up while Daddy was away) calls Dean to get caught up on what happened the last episode and is concerned that the Winchesters left their mom alone with Jack. Then why did you leave him Cas? You could’ve taken him with you. Like it would’ve been better if one of the brothers was alone with Jack? Badasses they may be, but they would’ve ended up just like Mary let’s be honest. The only difference would’ve been whichever brother got got would’ve come back. Mary will not be getting that special treatment…

Jack is tripping out since he murdered his foster G-maw - ends up flying all over the world (so his soul is definitely gone? But if it were gone, would he even care about killing Mary? everyone’s trying to track him down IDK why he doesn’t just destroy the phone he has. We get flashes of Mary & Jack’s time together and technically I believe she spent the most time with him (at least in season 13)

They’re still giving Mark P work on this show making him the manifestation of Jack’s subconscious cuz the kill is driving Jack insane 😭🥺 He’s reacting so much like a little boy who knows he fucked up it that makes this so much sadder 😭 Jack’s being driven mad with grief.

Sam was outed to love Celine Dion (I love her two Sammy it’s ok, her songs are AMAZING! My favorite is it’s all coming back to me now, I crush that shit in karaoke.) Dean follows a mommy blog 🤣 of course he does, probably cuz he identifies with her more & loves that her life is so full of shit (like I said, he identifies with her).

But this iteration of who God is seems to watch what people and creatures decide to do with their lives. He made the weapon to see who among Sam, Dean or Cas would take it and strike Jack down.

So ultimately when Dean tracks Jack down and Jack throws Cas into a tombstone and Sam is running dramatically to stop it, Dean ultimately decides not to kill Jack. But why though? He kept talking shit about how Jack needed to be dealt with, but when the moment comes, he won’t do it?! I mean I’m glad but it doesn’t really make sense?!

Was it the puppy eyes? Did Sam teach Jack that trick? But Jack closed his eyes at the last second???

Oh Dean, you’re such a fucking softie. That’s on you God. You made him softer than Mr. Pillsberry.

If anything, Dean is the step daddy. Cas is Daddy. And then there’s Uncle Sam 🤣

Sam is many things, but stupid is never one of them. Naïve maybe, trusting, desperate. But not stupid. And not crazy, this time 🤣

I will say what makes this story compelling is the fact that the Winchesters find themselves locked in a cycle of violence at the hands of their Creator, and they’re refusing to commit further acts of violence in effort to stop it all and rebel against their cruel, dispassionate maker. But they have no means to back it up…today.

Side note - Sam & Dean still don’t know about Castiel’s bargain with the Empty (kinda seems pointless since God killed Jack anyway…Cas basically fucked himself for nothing 🤦🏾‍♀️ [I know how it ends but yeah still])

It’s not about the destination though, it’s the journey (I keep telling myself that).

God said fuck y’all. Shouldn’t’ve poked the bear…now these poor innocent people gonna die like sheep to the slaughter. Y’all got a lot of cleaning up to do and with so little people to help you.

So did God undo all the killings the Winchesters did? Cuz damn….that’s 10+ years of work undone. In 1 moment.

They’re not getting out of the cycle anytime soon.

You are a demon. Or at least that is what everyone calls you. Truthfully, you don't even know what you are. When you first awoke, your entire body was covered in ash and soot. Burnt bodies were scattered around you. Like memories, frozen in time. Everyone blamed you for the destruction of the town.

More towns burned down. The people, not knowing any better, blamed it on a single person. Yet, you did not burn down those towns. Confusion littered your brain as everyone turned against you. Hunters were sent out. All with a single goal. Capture the monster that did this. Dead or alive.

You were living in the woods, close to a nearby town. A group of hunters had recently moved into the local inn. They had found you, yet they did not realize it. Having been left no choice, you joined them on their search for the demon.

Plot

The people of The Juris Kingdom have all grown used to the idea of monsters. Sure, not many have seen one, but the rumors are enough. With a new plague spreading through the land, towns being burned by a mysterious entity, the people have grown to resent the King. For all they have gone through, the King has done nothing. Always sitting on his throne, getting fat off bread and mead.

Townspeople have started rioting, but with the increase of monsters, most are too afraid to step outside their house. It is not uncommon to find a decayed body in an abandoned house, the, long dead, person being too afraid to buy supplies. Eventually starving.

With the increase in monsters, there was an increase in humans learning to bend elements to their will, crafting armor and swords that would glow in the night. Humans started evolving with the new threat.

With our MC having sleepovers with their new best friends, a new demon has risen, seeming intent on finishing the task our dear MC refused to complete.

Features

Create your own, unique character, with a variety of customization options available. Want to look like a one legged pirate? Done! Want a fancy pirate hat? Done! Choose your gender (cis, trans, nonbinary or just be an entity!), appearance and set an individual personality for strangers and friends!

The name means, "favored grace, rebellious lover." Annemarie is a window into Dean wanting to (yet again) run away from everything, from Sam, from Crowley, from work. From his chronic feelings of rejection. From feeling things, from living in the real world with obligations and responsibilities.

Annemarie calls Dean on beating the person who was wronging her (Matt), a la how Dean called Cas out re:taking on Raphael. Because, like Godstiel, Demon Dean kept going beyond defending honor, beyond protectorship.

Demon Dean is a treatise to the loss of free will through disinhibition, yes, but it's also Dean acting out everything that was ever done to him. There's pent-up rage and rejection tied up with all of it.

It's the specter of "I did all of it for you!" which only sounds romantic, only sounds honorable...but Cas kept going, slaughtered the angels en masse. Because it was really about Cas's beef with his brother Raphael and his family and his issues. Just like in SPNWIN Mary called out John on using Mary as an excuse for her issues.

Anyhoo, we stan Annemarie. She is "human Dean."

She walked out of there thinking she deserved that.

The Mark & Hell, part 4

(Previous posts: Intro post; Dean & Hell, season 4; the Mark & Hell part 1; Dean & Hell redux; the Mark & Hell part 2; part 3.)

Dean enjoying violence and revenge continues over season 10. Demon!Dean takes fun in fighting and killing the demons who try to take him on in 10x01, and then a satisfaction in beating up Anne-Marie’s ex-boyfriend, which Anne-Marie calls him out on:

DEAN Yeah, but, uh… I-I protected your honor, didn't I? ANNE-MARIE Yeah. I thought so, too. Seeing you take on Matt, I was like, “wow” no one's ever done that for me before. But then you kept going and going, and I realized whatever is going on with you has nothing to do with my “honor” at all.

Much of demon!Dean’s violence is retaliatory and reactionary, like his beating up Matt ‘for bothering’ Anne-Marie in 10x01, and for slights against him, such as his attacking the bouncer who tries to kick him out of the strip club and killing Lester after he insults Dean and calls him “a punk-ass demon,” ordering him to “get in there and do your job, you freak,” in 10x02.

Paralleling Dean as a soldier, season 10’s minor antagonist Cole is a marine, who joined the military to get his revenge seeing Dean kill his father when he was a child. Of course, that training doesn’t help him much against demon!Dean in 10x02, who beats him easily and, given their different skill levels, takes a bit of fun in tormenting Cole during their fight.

[COLE attacks him in a fury and DEAN again easily throws him to the ground.] DEAN What did you think was gonna happen, huh? You just stroll up here and say “my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die,” And I'd just roll over? Well, that's just -- it makes me sad. [DEAN leans mockingly over COLE but doesn't see him pull another knife. COLE slashes DEAN's face with it.] Ugh! [DEAN quickly gets COLE into a throat grip against a car as we see the cut on his face instantly heal.] You have no idea what you walked into here, do you? None. COLE What are you? DEAN I'm a demon. [DEAN take out the First Blade and holds it to COLE's throat] COLE Do it! You said if you saw me, you would kill me, so do it! DEAN I guess I changed my mind. [DEAN releases COLE and steps back. But at that instant SAM throws holy water on his brother and DEAN starts to burn. SAM rushes in snapping on the sigil etched handcuffs.] … SAM You know what, Dean? I saw what happened back there. You could have killed that guy, and you didn't. You took mercy on him. DEAN You call that mercy? Imagine you spend your whole life hunting down the guy that knifed your father. When you finally find him… He whips you like a dog. How do you think that feels? That kid's gonna spend his whole life knowing that he had his shot and that he couldn't beat me. That ain't mercy. That's the worst thing I could have done to him. And what I'm gonna do to you, Sammy… Well, that ain't gonna be mercy, either.

Demon!Dean’s fight with Cole is intriguingly layered, especially within in the context of the whole series. Take demon!Dean not killing Cole when he goads him on. Part of this is, I think, demon!Dean being so resistant to anyone telling him what to do; if Cole is telling him to kill him, then demon!Dean won’t, thanks but not thanks.

There’s also that demon!Dean knows exactly what it feels like to be in Cole’s situation, overpowered up by someone stronger than him and at their mercy, as well as being beaten up by someone who has hurt him in the past. The most obvious parallel is YED!John tormenting Dean in 1x22, with Dean being hurt by the demon who killed his mom and then Cole being hurt by demon!Dean who had killed his dad. Cole’s “Do it!” also echoes wording that Dean himself has used when he’s been in similar situations.

There’s 1x10, when Sam is possessed:

DEAN So what are you gunna do, huh? Are you gunna kill me? SAM You know what, I am sick of doing what you tell me to do. We're no closer to finding Dad today than we were six months ago. DEAN Well, then here. Let me make it easier for you. [He holds his Smith & Wesson toward SAM.] Come on. Take it. Real bullets are gonna work a hell of a lot better than rock salt. [SAM hesitates.] Take it!! [SAM points the gun at DEAN's face.] DEAN You hate me that much? You think you could kill your own brother? Then go ahead. Pull the trigger. Do it! SAM pulls the trigger. The chamber is empty. He tries again, and once more. DEAN uses a right cross to knock SAM to the ground and struggles to get up. DEAN [Moving to stand over SAM] Man, I'm not going to give you a loaded pistol!

There’s 5x18, when Cas beats Dean up:

[CASTIEL touches the PREACHER and he falls to the ground, unconscious. He drags DEAN into the nearby alley and beats him up.] DEAN What, are you crazy? CASTIEL I rebelled for this?! So that you could surrender to them? DEAN Cas! Please! CASTIEL I gave everything for you, and this is what you give to me! DEAN Do it! Just do it! [CASTIEL unclenches his fist and touches DEAN’s shoulder, knocking him out.]

And there’s 8x17, where Cas again beats Dean up:

[CASTIEL is beating DEAN. DEAN's face is bruised and bloodied.] DEAN You want it? [CASTIEL looks dispassionately at the now exposed tablet.] Take it! But you're gonna have to kill me first. Come on, you coward. Do it. Do it! [CASTIEL continues to beat DEAN.]

While these situations have their own particular nuances, they’re all instances of Dean using his words to fight back when he can’t do so physically, trying to literally use his voice to gain an edge or control or escape his situation, and that’s how I read Cole’s outburst too. If demon!Dean is going to kill him, then Cole will go down shouting in his face. Of course, if Cole wanted to kill Dean or die trying, then demon!Dean denies Cole any catharsis in his revenge quest by beating him up... and then leaving him be. Sam wants to see demon!Dean not killing Cole as a sign of mercy, but demon!Dean doesn’t frame it that way, and I very much read his comment in the context of all these past experiences, plus his showdown with the YED in 1x22. Even if Dean killed Azazel in the end, he still knows what it’s like to go after the monster who killed your parent and not just fail to kill them but then have them brutally hurt you, and the subsequent emotional rawness of surviving that kind of encounter.

However, Sam is right in that demon!Dean could have killed Cole but didn’t. Dean’s restraint, whatever his reason, then contrasts to his lack of it in the vampire confrontation mid-way through 10x023 and his causing Rudy’s death, which I’ll touch on more when I get there.

When Sam captures demon!Dean and brings him to the bunker for the cure, demon!Dean is resentful of both Sam and John and resists Sam’s attempts to turn him human. He eventually escapes his bonds and takes a twisted, playful revenge against Sam by chasing him around the bunker and trying to kill him. (And when Sam locks him into the electrical room and demon!Dean has to hammer his way through the door to get out, he must have been particularly gleeful in being able to make a real life “The Shining” reference.)

Over the rest of season 10, many of the antagonists Sam and Dean face are people driven by resentment and revenge to hurt others, such as:

In 10x06, Olivia tries to kill her relatives after being locked up her whole life (also the first person she kills is literally named Colette);

in 10x07, Cole tries to again to kill Dean in revenge for Dean killing his father;

in 10x09, Claire is incredibly angry at Cas for possessing her father and breaking apart her family, and then Dean in 10x10 for killing Randy, and tries to kill Dean;

in 10x11, Dark!Charlie tortures and kills the men who killed her parents and people who covered it up;

in 10x13, after his death in a car accident, ghost!Andy goes after & kills the teenagers who were responsible;

in 10x16, Isabella discovered the man she loved was sleeping with another woman and killed them both, and after her death became a vengeful ghost who attacked & killed men who cheated on their wives / girlfriends; and

in 10x22, the Styne family specifically decides to torture and kill the teenage boy who bullied Cyrus, with the implication that many of their victims are people who have insulted or ‘hurt’ members of the family.

Marie Mjolnir : Well, I was doing something to teach girls in their lessons of skinny-dipping in the waters, probably on doing how to swim in the water without any clothes on.

[DBZ SFX : BOING]

Azusa Yumi : And why is that?

Marie Mjolnir : Because I was doing some swimming lessons in privacy and not to tell everyone that I'm having a private skinny-dipping class. This is no way to express my emotions to come up with that idea of mine! I would definitely blow my socks off if you were able to reach an important phone call.

Azusa Yumi : Yeah, I kinda admit it that I would skinny dip in the waters, if only you should never tell that you have no qualms of having your nudity in front of everyone, am I right?

Marie Mjolnir : ...Right. Basically, on the other hand, There's something that I really, really, need to tell you something. It's about someone that died in Tokyo, and I bet it's really an occasional truth.

Azusa Yumi : Really? Who died in Tokyo?

[cuts to the two naked at aquatics center]

Azusa Yumi : What? Franken Stein was murdered?

Marie Mjolnir : Yeah, I'm afraid so. The man that I have been with for 13 years has been long gone. I was afraid that I was going to get in contact with him, but then we had a short circuit when I discovered that the meister/teacher and former doctor was murdered by a man that goes by the name Sammy Lawrence.

Azusa Yumi : Hold the phone! Did you say "Sammy Lawrence"?

Marie Mjolnir : Mhm.

[Mistery - Seirou Okamoto]

Azusa Yumi : But Marie. No one has ever heard of him before. He's the guy that started a project which caused the closure of that studio in Brooklyn.

Marie Mjolnir : It's true. But also known as the the masked figure in inky darkness. He was once a human being living in the human world as a normal civilian in Brookyln. However after tragedy struck him, he became a black figure made of inky darkness when a machine spewed on him, and went insane. When the studio chosen a cartoon character as their mascot, Sammy started a project that he would use the Ink for himself and also uses to alchemy to create a demon modeled after the mascot.

Azusa Yumi : Wait a sec... Hold that thought.

Marie Mjolnir : Hmm?

[Since that Day - Fumie Kumatani]

Azusa Yumi : Did you say that weapons like us were created by Alchemy? That wouldn't be the Secret ingredient, would be?

Marie Mjolnir : It's true. We Demon weapons or death scythes aren't appeared what we used to be. It turns that the one "Secret ingredient" that created the weapons was Alchemy. The men of Shinra's Influence has all the nerves to keep all that in secrecies! This is the real reason why do we weapons wanted to put our hatred against witchkind.

Azusa Yumi : My god. All this time, we thought that we weapons were created by the witches. And to think that it was Alchemy that brought us to life. What kind of sick, twisted world have we've been living in? All of this, all of that, everything we believed in...everything that Shinra created...was all just a fluke. A lie, a deception! Why did I even brought myself into this? Why, why, why?! Lying wasn't the only thing for us to save humanity, why the lying!?

Marie Mjolnir : [pats on Azusa's back] There, there. All that matters now. Soul World is nothing like the real world we live in. But the Ohkubo verse would might be the end of us. All we're saying that we beings of Soul World wanted to live in the real world, like all humans do. I mean, I never actually met Franken Stein when I was in my late teens or in in my early 20s. I'm just a frail single woman with an eye patch, desperate to think that I'm the weapon of that Marvel Avenger. All that is left is for Japan to make it clear that Soul World is universe made from the Deception of Shinra.

Azusa Yumi : You're right, I truly understand. I understand what it means to be lonely without someone you love.

Marie Mjolnir : I agree. Okay, I better get the aquatics center closing before anyone sees us skinny dipping in the waters. [gets up and walks off]

Azusa Yumi : ...So, everyone knew that...[scene cuts to a pitch-black screen] the world of Soul Eater comes to an end in Darkness.

So awhile ago I bought Season 2 and 3 of SPN DVDs from a thrift store and I'm finally watching it on my 14 year old computer that still has windows 7. Let's begin!

Omg this is so nostalgic for me even tho when this episode came out I was 8 years old and never heard of supernatural.

When I first watched the season 1 finale I was shocked. Like I didn't see that coming and neither did Sam and Dean! Lol

We start off the episode with them in Impala almost dead and a demon confronts them. The graphics of the demon smoke is horrendous lol

I don't get how it was night and now it's already daytime when the ambulance and fricken helicopter show up like it really took the first responders that long? Anyway.

Sam asks "are they alive?!" But the real question here is HOW could Dean and John still be alive??

Dean's finds out that he's a spirit not in body currently and honestly sometimes I wish I could jump out of my body sometimes too.

Sammy is so adorable.

Wow I'm surprised how much Dean wants to live here. He hasn't been like that for many seasons I believe.

John has messed up priorities.

Oh Dean was watching the whole I didn't remember that part. He's got every right to be suspicious of that asshole of a father.

"What the hell kind of father are you!!" I'll tell you Dean, a peice of shit one.

How can a girl be on floor choking and calling out for help and one hears? Sheesh

Dean meets Tessa and she was a reaper no? I can't remember.

Ha Sam brought an Ouiji board 😁

Dean feels like he's at a slumber party but he's never been to one probably how sad really 🥺 he would have loved slumber parties.

I can't believe his own Father left him at the hospital. He's just so awful. Didn't even say what or where he's going.

Oh right she was a reaper like I remembered.

I don't care that John to make a deal for Dean. That's not what makes a good father.

Damn yelloweyes just jumped into a reaper and then brought Dean back to life. How??

"Can we not fight?" Hmm how about you start telling the truth! Look how John makes Sam feel guilty because John is trying to distract him from the truth! Such manipulation. He says he's done the best his could. Bullshit.

Dean was such a sweet boy even John can admit that. Where did he learn that from? Mary? Cuz it certainly wasn't John.

Imagine all the bullshit you've been saying for years and then on your deathbed you open up and say you're proud of your son? Probably said that for the first time ever? Ya that's a peice of shit father. Too little too late.

Then he tells Dean he has to kill Sam. Big YIKES. Johns dead, at what cost?

"I-Izuku was all that noise about?" Y/n asked as Izuku held her close in his coils.

"Umm, just a small argument," Izuku stuttered, his tail tightening ever so slightly.

"umm soo, Why did you send Shoto and Bakugou away?" Y/n asked.

"They have to go on patrol, to protect our territory," Izuku explained.

"Wow, so your territory must be huge," Y/n awed. " I would like to see it. Could you show me?"

"Umm, I don't know. I wouldn't want you to get hurt," Izuku said slowly, but as he looked Into Y/n's pleading eyes. Izuku could not say no to those eyes.

So with a sigh, Izuku slowly held her in his arms and hesitantly exited the cave. Izuku showed her all the note-worthy and historical sites and parts of their territory.

"And this is where All Might the Monster king defeated the Demon Tyrant All for One," Izuku explained but noticed that Y/n was not really listening.

Instead, she was looking out at the great pond in the distance. As he studied her, he noticed that her eyes were welling up with tears.

"Home," was all she said.

Izuku's heart began to panic, a part of him was demanding him to return her to her family, but the other half was begging him to not let her go. As his consciousness and desire argue within him, a voice breaks him out of his thought.

"Oi Deku! what are you doing out here with Y/n?!" A voice shouted.

The two turned to see Bakugo back from his patrol, and Shoto with his catch of 7 rabbits. Y/n smiled at them to acknowledge them but turned back to her attention back to her home in the distance.

Later that night, as Y/n slept, the three Naga sat around the fire, an uncomfortable silence filled the air.

"Are we not going to discuss it?" Shoto asked, breaking the silence.

"About what?" Bakugo asked simply, pretending not to know. Izuku gulped nervesly as he put his food down.

"It's obvious that Y/n is homesick. She has every right to go home if she wishes," Shoto said with a cold glare.

Chills ran down Izuku's spine as he shrunk away from Shoto's gaze. Bakugou glared back, not really liking the Idea of letting Y/n go. Shoto slowly lifted Y/n off the ground and coiled his tail around her.

With a sad and heavy heart, Izuku slowly nodded his head in agreement, even if his eyes watered a bit. Bakugo merely turned away with a scoff but nonetheless agreed. Shoto held Y/n close as his rivals tried to get as close as possible to her, or as Close as Shoto would allow them.

When the sun rose Bakugo carried Y/n through the forest, with Shoto and Izuku following not too far behind. As Y/n looked around at the forest, she could suddenly hear the melancholy song of her people. A song to call out to those who were missing, the last call for their loved ones.

Y/n turned to the origin of the sound, as she pointed in excitement. Bakugo quickly picked up the pace, swiftly leaving the forest to the edge of the grand lake. Just in the distance a small group of merfolk stuck their heads above the water and sang into the winds. Carrying their song.

In that small group, a small little mermaid Eri noticed the new presence and a familiar.

"Y/N!" Eri cried as she swam over to her.

Y/n and Eri's close friend and big brother figure Mirio followed not too far behind. Bakugo quickly dropped Y/n into the water, as the mermaid quickly swam over to her little sister and friend.

Before Y/n or Shoto, Deku, and Bakugo could say anything, Eri pulled her sister back home under the water's surface.

The Nagas only watched in shock as Y/n and the other merfolk disappear into the waters below. Since none of them were built for swimming, they could only watch from the shore as they try to call out to Y/n.

(A few days later)

Even Though Y/n was home with her family and friends, a part of her felt like she was still missing. And Eri and Mirio could tell that Y/n was not entirely as cheerful as she used to be. She would do her usual trip to the surface and sing to the wind, calling out to someone.

Eri may not have entirely understood, But Mirio definitely did. So with a heavy heart, he worked through the night and made a potion to give her legs.

"Promise you'll come back and visit every day," Eri demanded as she hugged her know human sister.

"I promise Eri," Y/n said as she hugged her little sister.

"Take care Y/n, and remember that we will always be here for you," Mirio smiled.

"Thank you," Y/n smiled with teary eyes.

It took a long time to travel through the woods, avoiding the other Naga and finding that familiar cave. Y/n smiled as Three naga figures gasp in recognition, as they quickly rushed her and pulled her into a warm embrace.

My One And Only - Chapter 6

Thank you so much for all the notes and reblogs! As I’m writing this I’m currently writing chapter 14. As more chapters are being written, I try to make them longer. Before my target was around 1000 words then it progressed to 1700 and then to 2000 so newer chapters will be updated less frequently.

Alya shook her head. "That isn't what I'm trying to say. What I'm trying to find out is who does she is love now?"

Marinette had been the one to collect the dinner despite Damian's constant requests to help. Despite her short size, Marinette managed to transport the food from the door to the dinning table in his hotel room, which Damian found surprising as she was way much stronger than she looked. Damian thanked her for bringing the food and sat in the chair directly in front of her so that it would be much easier to talk, after pushing her chair in for her.

"So, Shaytan" Marinette said while struggling to cut the vegetarian steak. "What did you want to ask?".

Damian smiled and got up to place his hands on hers, then he helped cut the steak before sitting back down. She giggled. "Earlier you asked what my reason for coming to Paris was. I shall fully answer that question now. My reason for coming was to gain more information about the alleged attacks happening here" Damian was slightly shocked at how Marinette's facial expressions changed from happy and bubbly to serious, though he didn't show it. This was a serious topic after all.

"Well first of all, the attacks are happening, they have been for over a year now." Damian's shock was plastered all over his face 'They've been dealing with this for over a year?' "Second of all" she took a piece of steak and swallowed it before continuing. "The Paris police force aren't dealing with this by themselves, there are superheroes here"

"Well Angel, who are they?"

"Well when the attacks first started a superhero duo was always there to defeat them. A girl called Ladybug and a boy called Chat Noir" she took another bite of steak. "But since the villains have gotten a lot stronger, they've expanded to a superhero team. On hero's day was one of the most biggest attacks and at the time, the superhero team was at five members. The other heroes were Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee." Damian was impressed at how much Marinette could say without needing to take breaths of air.

"And who is the one responsible for these attacks?"

"Hawkmoth" Marinette said taking yet another piece of steak. "When someone's negative emotions passes a certain limit, Hawkmkth uses an Akuma to akumatize that person, turning them into a villain with powers. If you're wondering, an akuma is a butterfly filled with Hawkmoth's power. I heard he can control them to go to a certain victim but if the akuma is far away, he can't control the villain or get in contact with the akuma." Marinette took another piece of steak, in her defense it was really good, for a vegetarian steak. "But recently there has been a new villain working on his side, Mayura. She creates something similar to an akuma but it's call an amok and it's in the shape of a feather. What the amok does is create a sentimonster. A sentimonster is fueled by emotions and can be controlled only by the person who holds the object with the amok inside"

"Yes that does make sense. So how many superheroes has there been in total and what are the ages of all of them, including Hawkmoth and Mayura?"

"I believe there have been ten different superheroes." She began listing them all out loud. "Ladybug, Chat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, Queen Bee, Viperion, Pegasus, Ryuko, King Monkey and Multimouse. Yep ten but most of them have only appeared once. And they're all in between the ages of 14-16, I'd say. Hawkmoth and Mayura however are adults"

"So you're saying that two adults are putting the lives of a maximum of ten kids in danger" Marinette nodded. "But what is his motive?"

"I honestly have no idea" Marinette put bluntly while putting another piece of steak in her mouth. She then glanced at the time and realised she had to go home soon. She looked at the half eaten steak, she sighed "I have to go Damian I'm so sorry, I'm can tell you every thing I know through text if you want me to,"

"No it's fine, you go home and home a good sleep. We can talk tomorrow" Damian was surprised when Marinette hugged him before leaving. Of course, he hugged her back.

A few hours after Marinette left, Damian opened the computer to a shared document, surprisingly, Tim was on it at the time. The system showed that Tim was typing something.

Tim: Wow, no rest for Demon Spawn eh?

Damian rolled his eyes at his older brother's comment. He dragged his mouse down the document, searching for a certain column labeled 'current situation'. There he could give a general idea of how bad it was here at Paris. Marinette and told him so much already but his gut told him that she had more to tell. Though he didn't like the thought of becoming soft, he didn't mind being that soft around Mari. 'Everyone else? Hell no'. He quickly found the column he was looking for. He then selected an option out of the possible five, 'critical'. This meant that Paris was in serious danger. He knew that Tim was watching, probably drowning himself in coffee, but the dark-haired boy was surprised when Tim didn't sent a message straight away. As the three dots appeared, indicating that Tim had begun to type, Damian signed off. He liked it when he seemed mysterious.

Then Damian remembered that Marinette never got to finish her steak. Not wanting to waste it, he decided to have it as a midnight snack.

"Oh Tikki! I had an amazing time with Damian" the bluenette gushed to her kwami.

"You seemed very happy in his company Marinette!" Tikki squeaked. "But how will you be able to move on after he's gone back to Gotham?"

Marinette frowned. "Well, I'll worry about that when the time comes". She then thought about all the fun she had at the dark-haired boy's hotel room then the thought about how he made her blush like mad. Again the moment made her blush again, just not as much as earlier. Then the thought hit her. "Tikki, when I put Damian's head on my lap, do you think he thought it meant something else?"

"You let him rest his head in you're lap? Wow I never saw that!" Marinette went red again, this time she didn't have Damian's shoulder to hide herself. 'I guess that's my new coping mechanism, but I'm not complaining. He's also really hot when he smirks- gAH'

It was 4 pm. Tim wasn't really tired, he was just a caffeine addict, this was his fifth cup in the span of a single hour. If Damian was here, he would likely look at him with judging eyes. 'But he isn't here so hah, take that Demon Spawn'. Just when he said that in his mind, a message arrived saying that Damian was online.

"Speak of the devil" Tim muttered, taking another sip of coffee. He decided to write him a message.

Tim: Wow, no rest for Demon Spawn eh?

Though he wasn't really expecting him to reply, he didn't expect Damian to do what he did next. Tim watched as Damian changed the situation column for 'No Information' to 'Critical'. "What the-" Tim saw that Dick was in the room. "Dick could you pull up a live feed from Paris?"

"Aight"

The TV showed a peaceful and quiet Paris, not like the one you would expect if it were labeled under 'critical'. Tim was so confused he began to type a message but noticed that Damian had signed off. Dick, seeing Tim's confused nature, came over to look at the computer. "What was he referring to? What the hell is going on?"

TGCF criticisms

Spoilers and unpopular/critical opinions ahead! Beware! I tried to like this, I really did, but this novel really makes me frustrated. It clearly has so much potential, but so much of that potential was wasted on pandering romance and shallow caricatures of main characters. Overall 1.5-2 stars because it gets worse the more you think about it. CHARACTERS: 1. The main character, Xie Lian was wildly bland and boring. He is presented as the kindest, purest, most selfless person in the world, but really he was just a bland white lotus. With Xie Lian, his personality can be described in just a sentence or so, while the author's other two MC's (Wei Wuxian and Shen Qingqiu) are both charming, funny, and deep with their own motivations. Xie Lian just walks around in the story with no purpose and he says that he wants to help the common people, but he really hasn't done that! He's barely helped anyone at all, and those times he did help people are quickly followed by flirting with the ML and forgetting all about the people he was supposed to help. Honestly, in the past, Xie Lian was also the biggest jerk ever. He gave up his own friends and family's well being for his own sense of justice and was stubborn to a fault and refused to listen. What's worse is that none of these flaws are actually addressed, and the story just lets him roll with it and never actually calls him out on it. 2. The ML, Hua Cheng, is equally as bad. He is extremely shallow and such a static character, with his development in the present times being nonexistent and his development from the past to the present being wholly nonsensical. His personality is very cliche and his motivations and thoughts are left entirely up to the reader's imagination, which significantly reduces character depth. He could've been such a great character, a ghost king who rules over hell and is morally grey, but instead he is dumbed down to a Xie Lian fanboy. Everything about him not related to Xie Lian is thrown at us in a few paragraphs if at all, and what little motivation and thoughts about him we do get always fall flat. [Like apparently this guy saved him once, and he fell in love with him and became devoted to him for 800 years? Like people get saved all the time and we don't see them going 800 years and 3 deaths for a guy they've barely talked to] Also, he is wildly unlikable. Of course, this is purely subjective, but he is irritatingly smug and lords over literally everyone he meets. It doesn't help that he's an insufferable Mary Sue with an endless array of powers, intelligent as hell and knows literally everything, really good at painting, sculpting, woodworking, and on top of that the richest, most powerful, most handsome, and most charismatic man in the book. His biggest flaw is supposed to be his insecurity and inferiority complex, but that barely ever comes up and 90% of the time he is arrogant and smug. 3. The side characters in my opinion are written far better, but obviously quite underdeveloped. They are all three dimensional and have their own thoughts, emotions, and feelings as well as a believable backstory, but so many of them are quickly offed to make way for the main couple, some of them not only not becoming better, but actually getting quite a whole lot worse. Qi Rong, who was supposed to be super strong demon that is one of the 4 great evils becomes a comedic relief gremlin who just shows up for some comedy and then leaves. Feng Xin and Mu Qing, the MC's childhood caretakers disappear for like 100 chapters after we're given their backstories and then once they reappear, they don't do anything either. Shi Qingxuan, who in my opinion is by far the best character in the book, has his arc left open with no ending at all, only to be forgotten about for 80+ chapters only to reappear completely the same with no character growth at all. All of this is because the main couple take up so much of the book, and the rest of the side characters and their character growth is sabotaged for the author's ego so that the main couple can look better and get more screen time.

4. I lost interest in the story pretty quickly due to the bland characters and their out of place romance and how unlikable they were. A lot of this novel was very surface level, and it's pretty on paper, but when you think about the characters a bit longer, the more bland and shallow they become.

PLOT: 1. The plot was... There was no plot. It was just a collection of monster of the day arcs that aimlessly meander about and then everything returns to the status quo once they return to Xie Lian's temple/home. Obviously books 4 and 5 were a lot more to my taste because the writing was a lot more concise and the pacing was less slow and pointless, as well as actually incorporating fantasy elements and shaking up the status quo. However, the other 3 books, especially books 1 and 2 had way too much fan service, pointless romance, and plot lines that don't go anywhere and don't contribute to the story.

2. The past plot line, or the flashbacks were pretty interesting, except for how b*tchy the MC was. Book 2 has a lot of important information and some action, but a lot of it was boring fluff that didn't really contribute to the story other than introducing the villain and showing how XL and HC met. The rest, we're literally told already and there's no new information. Book 4 was supposed to be suffering heavy, and I agree that the character development was alright, but it was too brooding and oppressive. In the end, I just stopped feeling bad for Xie Lian because of how bad the story was trying to make you feel for him. I was not invested in him, and although he was significantly more deep in this book than in the other 4, the bad logic is still there. [you wanna kill people but then someone gives you a bamboo hat and you're all sunshine and rainbows again?] The suffering is excessive in my opinion, and although it's supposed to provide contrast to the romance, it just feels done in poor taste. seriously, 20 chapters straight of suffering is not necessary, and the pacing and tone suffers because of this. The flashbacks really don't contribute too much to XL or HC's character development, but is just there to be angsty and cryp*rn.

3. The final battle was the most unbelievable thing I've ever read. All the gods got together and the first part seemed pretty epic as we got to see all the side characters finally showcase their powers.... Until the MC and ML show up. The MC and ML show up, and instantly the background extras—excuse me I mean side characters, go back into hibernation as the main couple show off how cool and powerful they are. And then we get to the final confrontation, which has our MC, ML, and MC's two friends face off against literally the most powerful being in the freaking universe. I thought it would be a tense fight scene with lots of close calls, but I was so disappointed. Instead the ML is so OP that he breaks the spells binding MC's powers, and MC becomes so overpowered and slams the big boss into the wall with the power of love while his two friends just stand there doing nothing.

4. A lot of what happens in the flashback is directly Xie Lian's fault, but the book never seems to register it? I won't go into detail on this point since it's already covered in the first Reddit thread, but basically because of XL's s*upidity and refusal to listen to anyone else, the people around him suffer.

WRITING: 1. The writing wasn't great. It was very choppy and as I said previously, very monotonous and monster-of-the-day. Yes there were great scenes which got to me, but most of it was really boring and descriptions and dialogue dragged on and on with no end, and with the bland MC, it wasn't even interesting such as the dialogue in MDZS was. Side arcs were introduced with no warning and ended with no warning, leaving the reader wondering "Why was that even there in the first place if it was just going to be forgotten about?"

2. The water demon/wind god arc. The opening and most of the middle of this arc was extremely good, the logic and mystery was written well, and Shi Qingxuan's (the wind god) antics were funny. But after the big reveal and the tense climax, the story just... stops. Like it's literally forgotten about. [The MC gets dragged out by his all powerful lover, they romance some more, and forget all about Shi Qingxuan who is literally left in the hands of the second or third most powerful demon ever who is also his mortal enemy]

3. The incessant flirting really got on my nerves. The tension and tone of the entire story got completely ruined because of the MC and ML flirting and the MC blushing and giggling while the ML teases him and everyone else is literally fighting for their lives. This felt very fan-service like, and it felt like the author stopped trying and just fed us dog food after an emotionally taxing arc so that she wouldn't have to close out the arc properly, completely destroying the tone. Speaking of the tone, the tone whiplash was just... wow. You're fed fluff and romance during or after a high tensity and highly emotional scene with no connection at all, and you're just supposed to accept it instead of wondering what's happening to the characters you actually care about.

4. Romance and side arcs quite disconnected from the story. Quite frankly, most of this book is just romance with the plot and characters put in second place because "lOOk hOw CuTe the COuPLe iS!" You could literally take out all the side arcs and the story would literally be no different. The romance overtakes the entire plot and becomes the main point of the story. With her other two books, the romance is like the icing on the cake. With this book, the icing overtakes the cake and becomes the cake.

5. Perhaps one of the biggest reasons I was uninterested through most of the book was due to the lack of tension and suspense. The flashbacks were better in the sense that Xie Lian was helpless and couldn't figure anything out, which was why he was just as likely to get hurt as anyone, making the stakes significantly higher. But in the present, with the existence of Hua Cheng, that tension is completely gone. This is because HC knows basically all there is to know, and what he doesn't know he can figure out in seconds. Additionally, he is super powerful to the point that anything that can harm XL can be one shot K.O'ed by him. At this point the conflict becomes trivial to the point where I'm just asking "why are we solving this mystery anyways when HC can just blast it into oblivion?"

6. The fact that HC does the bare minimum in arcs frustrates me. If you're going to include a character with powers that will basically deem any threat against them null, then actually use them at least! HC's apathy does not feel like a coherent part of his character, but an excuse for MXTX to drag out plot lines and make things unnecessarily long and winded. Additionally, his apathy is contradictory. On one hand, he is super overprotective of XL and wants to make sure he won't get hurt a single bit, but on the other hand, he has this advanced ideology of the 21st century that he believes XL is capable so won't constrain him as much. If anything, they should start out with HC as this overprotective follower and have a dysfunctional relationship, and end up with XL teaching HC that he is able to do things and doesn't mind doing them, and that HC can live a life outside of him as well. That would've introduced some narrative stakes and romantic tension, but no, MXTX just had to make these characters perfect in every way.

ROMANCE: 1. The logic is so flawed here. The reason that HC started loving XL is literally because Xie Lian saved him once as a child and therefore he will devote his entire life to XL, not caring about literally anything else. The reason that XL started loving HC is even more so. The thing is someone like say Shi Qingxuan has done every bit as much for XL as HC has, but we don't see XL fall in love with SQX, do we? HC literally listens to him talk and XL falls in love with him, and although it does make sense due to XL being lonely for 800 years, how low the bar is set really bothers me.

2. The constant blue-balling was annoying. At some point, the ignorant MC became annoying and self indulgent instead of cute, and having it be drawn out over nearly 200 chapters makes it even worse. The MC is supposed to be super intelligent, but he literally misses all of the super obvious hints the ML drops at him, which is so weird.

3. It felt like MXTX (the author) went overboard on the romance here. Like she tried way too hard to the point where it was obvious she wanted to make this "the most romantic CP ever". The aesthetics went so overboard with butterflies and flowers as romantic themes, thousands of lanterns, the red string of fate (which didn't even do anything in the actual story), poetry, etc.

4. The romance could almost be described as kind of creepy. Like the ML obsesses over the MC for 800 years, isolating himself from the world and not taking any side of the story besides MC's is supposed to be romantic, but it really isn't. The ML carves thousands of statues of the MC, which is sweet in a way, but also really, really creepy. To quote someone from NovelUpdates who put it 100x better than I could: " They don't feel like equal lovers, HC obviously worships XL to an unbelievably amazing degree while XL only knew he existed from only a while ago (Is this obsession? Stalker-ish? I know his stalker-ish tendencies are usually played for laughs, but realistically?) HC very very very rarely calls XL by his given name but with GeGe or CrownPrince, dude has a name you know. I know you feel lower than XL, but seriously man, the guy's your life partner. HC would destroy the world if XL said to. He'd probably try to talk to XL first, confirm things, but if at the end XL really does want it, HC would do it. He lives for XL, he has no other reason to do something aside for XL. No reason to say NO for himself. They're not equals in which one wanna do something bad, the other would stop him because they have their own convictions. You can't tell me one only lives for one person's sake, will do anything for that guy, and has no attachments in the world aside from that guy, is a healthy person. It may seem romantic, but when you actually think about it, it becomes uncomfortable."

5. The romance was really cheesy. There were some powerful moments, but it was mostly flirting and "he fell on top of me" or "he needs mouth to mouth". Most of it was just the ML flirting with the MC, which you may like if you like this kind of stuff, but I really didn't enjoy it. Overall, I was desperate to love this novel, but I couldn't because of the shallow characters, unlikable main pair, and the constant abandonment of great plot lines in favor of the shallow romance. It felt like MXTX was constantly trying to one-up MDZS in angst, drama, and romance, but at the same time it felt like she didn't know what to do with the characters and world, and therefore fed us fan service and took the easy way out. This review is purely subjective, and if you want to read this go ahead, but I'll be seeing myself out.

Dinner went as normally as it could, but that only means that Grayson and Todd were arguing about something or other. Damian was quiet and sent Stone glares from across the table.

First, she leaves me underground and then I find out she knows our secret. She is a loose end that needs to be dealt with.

Alfred was binging out a plate of macaroons when Todd seemed tired of speaking with Grayson.

Stone took a couple of cookies and was going to leave when Todd changed targets.

"What was that about after school?" he asked "Demon Spawn, Pixie either of you want to explain."

Damian moved to grab his katana from under the table, he didn't need to hide it since she knew of their nightly activities, but she moved quickly.

She was now between the two of us, shoving a cookie into both of our mouths.

"I really don't know what you want to hear Jay, but we had a study hall at the end of the day. Damian went to the library and must not have heard the bell" she answered.

Damian grumbled shooting daggers at her, but she held her ground as he left. He doesn't know why but he decided to listen at the door.

"Honestly, Mari what happened today?" he heard Todd, ask in a soft concerned voice he had never heard before. "Damian isn't the" he doesn't know what was going to be said because Stone cut him off.

"That is what happened whether you believe it or not. And I will not be told how to think of anyone, including Damian, without giving them a chance." she stormed out, while he ducked into the nearest door.

I went up to my room and was about to turn in there was a knock at the door.

"Hey Damian, is there something you need?"

"How much do you know about me?" that was not what I was expecting him to say. So, I motioned for him to come in. I sat on my bed and he sat at the desk.

"Obviously, your Robin, you are Bruce's only biological child, and your brothers call you Demon spawn."

"Anything else."

"Just what I've observed at school. Oh, and your murder attempts on Jay and Tim and your fight with Dick.

"They haven't said anything else"

"They've tried" he stayed silent as if telling me to continue. "I dunno they try to tell me, but I don't think that is fair to you."

"What is that to mean" he snapped at me. "You gather information, if it is being given to you, you take it. It does not matter if it is gained fairly or not." he seemed to scold me.

"Wow"

"Wow, what Stone" he barked.

"I think that is the most I've heard you speak in one go" he only blinked at me, that was the only indication I got that I took him by surprise. "let me guess. You think I am naive for wanting to get to know someone myself."

"Tt. yes"

"Fine you can play it sensible, the king of conventional but I don't have to.” I flopped backwards laying on the bed.

"Say that again" now I sat up when I heard the confusion in his voice.

"I don't have to"

"King of conventional"

"I've heard that before.” That was when a memory surfaced.

"I can cut you free. Out of the drudgery and the walls you keep in. So, trade that typical for something colorful. And if it's crazy, live a little crazy, you can play it sensible, a king of conventional."

"You" he shouted accusingly jumping up.

"Me” I smirked, having finally recognized this Damian as the Damian I met in Paris years ago.

"How long have you known?"

"I just figured it out actually"

"Figures that the aggravating girl from Paris would be you."

"Ya well you are still the intrusive kid who doesn't seem to know how to have fun."

By now we were yelling at each other.

"Did you know?" he asked glaring at me.

"know what?" she retorted with a huff.

"That I am or rather was an assassin then" he yelled.

"I'm sorry what?" my voice was softer and the only thing I seemed to be able to do is blink at him.

His reaction was much like my own, but shock was clearly in his eyes.

"You didn't know” I whispered more to myself than to her. I don't know why I told him she

didn't need to know so why?

She took a few steps to close the gap between us and just enveloped me in a hug. We didn't say

anything to one another, Damian silently cried into her shoulder hugging her tighter. Why am I crying. I should not be letting my emotions control my actions, But I feel safe. Why does she make me feel safe?

We stayed like that until I spoke again,

well it was more of a whisper into her hair. "Why aren't you running away from me?"

"Do you want me to?" she asked just as quietly. I shook my head holding her tighter. "stay, please"

she hugged me tighter "You're stuck with me Wayne"

I chuckled at that, genuinely amused, as we stepped apart "And you with me Marinette"

"Good" she then grabbed my hand and dragged

me to the living room.

"What are you doing?"

"We" she pointed between the two of us "are going to watch movies until we fall asleep" she stated as if it was the most obvious thing "You choose the movie and I'll go grab some blankets"

"Anything you want to see?” I asked before she left.

"I dunno" she shrugged "something with magic" she came back soon with a pile of blankets and a bowl of popcorn. They ended up watching the first three Harry Potter movies before falling asleep.

That was how everyone found them coming up from the cave. Asleep next to one another wrapped in blankets.

Three things occurred that shocked everyone the next day.

1. Damian smiled. Marinette the sun child she is get him to smile. He smiled and it was as if he was actually a kid it was just as bright and infectious as one of Mari's smiles. However once Dick took a picture his scowl was back.

2. They argued, civilly no yelling no swords, well it was more of a discussion of which house they belonged in. It was the longest argument that Damian was part of that didn't end with him with a katana in his hand, and that was almost frightening. It was settled that Damian was in Slytherin and Mari was in Gryffindor only after they took the Pottermore quiz.

3. Still more shocking was whenever Damian spoke of or with Mari it was Marinette not Stone. Damian had been with them for months, but he only referred to them as Father, Grayson, Todd, Drake, and Pennyworth. But in comes Mari and she is called by her first name before any of them.

So as a family of detectives they tried to figure out what changed with their youngest member. Because he only seemed to let down his guard around Mari. They couldn't understand it, it was an enigma with no true answer. Hell, they even found them sparring with Damian correcting and teaching her to sword fight. In turn she taught him gymnastics for when he is grappling through the city.

Two weeks passed quickly, and they were saying goodbye to Mari, but they still hadn't figured out the change.
