Rowan in the forest and unconscious....
for some reason gives Jeniferl a great sense of ժׁׅ݊éյׁׅà vυׁׅ.
"We’ve taken what you’ll sorely miss" Jeniferl then finally understand this task about
Acromantulas are starting to attack. It didn't matter for her to use fire spells on them( which she's scared to use). She didn't care if her clothes were torn, she was too focused on saving Rowan. And as soon as they reach the starting point (thanks to Torvus), Rowan then wokes up. Jeniferl was so happy that she didn't notice that tears started to fall from her eyes.

In this story,Task 3 happen on the same date as year 6 chapter 18 on the game. But instead of that tragedy, this happen... it's an alternate universe after all.

"plaything"
james potter x reader
Tumblr media
masterlist (requests open)
summary: you started dating james who was 3 years above you when you were in hogwarts, tensions rise when he re-introduces you to his friendship group that includes his ex girlfriend lily evans
no cws this is just pure angst/fluff
lmk what you guys think!
-
"You'll be fine, princess." James presses a soft kiss to your temple as you walk up to his friends flat.
Your cheeks blushed as he could clearly tell you were nervous. Of course you knew of his friendship group when you were in school, everybody did. But being 3 years younger meant that they definitely had no idea who you were.
James hadn't so much as looked at you twice at Hogwarts, but you always had a crush on him. When your paths crossed again a few months ago, it was him who had eyes for you.
"I know." You smile up at him, trying to shake your nerves. "Just promise they're not gonna hate me."
"Of course they won't hate you." He chuckles. "They have to love you because I love you."
"I love you too." You sigh, reaching up to press a kiss to his lips.
You make your way inside and into the kitchen, James quickly starts to introduce you.
"This is Sirius and Remus." He smirks, pointing at the two boys who are leaning against the kitchen counter. "And this is y/n"
Sirius immediately comes forward and gives you a tight hug, Remus soon copied his actions.
"Merlin, James how've you managed to bag that!" Sirius poked at James, causing James to swiftly shove his shoulder.
"It's nice to finally meet you, y/n." Remus smiles. "We've heard lots about you."
James guides you through to the lounge where Mary and Lily sat.
"You must be y/n!" Mary gushed, standing to her feet to give you a hug. "I'm Mary, and this is Lily." She gestured toward Lily who sat on the sofa with a smug grin.
"I'll leave you here to get to know the girls, baby."
"Baby?" Lily scoffed, making fun of James' choice of pet names.
"Oh shut up, Lil. Just because you're not getting any." James poked back, rolling his eyes. Lily sticks her middle finger up at James as he walks away.
You take a seat on the sofa and take a big gulp of the wine Sirius poured for you. Lily and Mary sat opposite and Mary quickly started quizzing you about your life.
"I can't believe we never met in school!" Mary gushes. "You were a Gryffindor too right?"
You nod, trying to hide the nervous blush reaching your cheeks.
"And you never spoke to James in school either?" Mary's eyebrows furrowed.
"Nope." You laugh softly.
"Thats kind of sweet." She smiles.
"So how young are you again?" Lily butts in.
"I'm 21."
"Godric, that's even younger than the last one." Lily scoffs, making your breath hitch in your throat. Lily had been the one you were most nervous to meet, every one knew they were an item in school.
All you did was smile in response, Mary elbowed Lily in the ribs to shut her up.
"What? It's not like he won't have a new plaything in a few months anyway." Lily whispered to Mary, but something to you she wanted to make sure you could still hear her.
You glanced over at James, he was leaning against the counter with a bottle of beer in his hands. You desperately wanted him to get you out of this conversation.
"So have you met James' parents yet?" Lily continued to quiz you.
"I-uh, not yet." You try to act interested in the conversation.
"They're so nice." She smirks. "I have lunch dates with Euphemia all the time."
Merlin she's irritating you thought to yourself as Lily stared at you with a smug look. All you could do was smile in response, unsure of what she was expecting you to say.
You take a big swig of your drink, finishing off the glass.
"I'm just gonna grab another drink." You excuse yourself, making your way over to James in the kitchen.
His eyes light up as he sees you walking towards him.
"Hi, baby." James smiles, turning away from Sirius and Remus to kiss your forehead. "How you getting on with the girls?"
"Fine." You say bluntly, not wanting to cause a scene but his eyebrows furrow instantly, he knew something was up.
"Wanna come with me outside for a smoke?" He asks and you nod.
He grabs your hand and guides you to the balcony attached to the flat, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it swiftly.
"What's up, princess?" He questions you.
"It's nothing." You sigh, trying to avoid his gaze.
"I don't care if it's nothing." James grabs your chin and turns your head so you're looking at him. "It's clearly bothering you."
"Lily has just said some... interesting things." You mumble and he immediatly rolls his eyes, taking a long drag from his cigarette.
"I should have warned you about her." He laughs. "She's just a bit weird with new people joining the group... she did the same thing when Sirius brought a girl round a few weeks ago."
"But that's different." You pout. "She's your ex girlfriend."
"Yeah, from when we were 16." He chuckles. "Is my baby jealous?"
"No!" You huff, crossing your arms over your chest. "She called me your plaything"
He was laughing now, making your cheeks grow red as you realised how silly it was that you were upset.
"It's not funny, Jamie." You whine. He takes one last drag of his cigarette before throwing it to the ground and taking a step towards you.
"I know, I know." He grabs your face again as you lean against the wall. "You're not my plaything, you're my princess."
"Promise?" You look up at him with wide eyes.
"Promise." He presses a soft kiss to your lips and you can feel his smirk as he still clearly finds the situation amusing.

A/N: This fic was written very sleep deprived so I ask you to bear with me. The second part is my favourite so just stick with it.
Songs: The Way - Mac Miller, Ariana Grande
Lover, you should have come over - Jeff Buckley
Promise - Laufey
Tumblr media
NOTE: I accidentally deleted my account and did not have the first part of this mini series saved! I will probably rewrite it but there is some context you should know, so i’ll try summarise it as concisely as possible:
You and Theodore used to be really good friends when you first joined Hogwarts. Naturally, as you both got older, you changed slightly. Theodore came back one summer and he seemed completely different, he was not only incredibly handsome but he had generally flourished as a person. The girls all loved him and he found a new set of friends, essentially forgetting about you. Time skip a few years and you become friends with Pansy, and the rest of the group. Theodore greets you as though nothing has changed. You habour a lot of resentment to him initially, but realise you really do love chilling with the group and so you set it to the side. In the fic, you’re at a party and you head up to the roof. Theodore appears and you chat for the first time in ages. It gets a bit tense when you subtly call him out but you try brush it off as a joke. He noticed you at their quidditch practice earlier on in the day with mattheos number painted on your face, and he sounds a bit jealous. You assure him it was only for jokes, though you’re confused as to why he’d be upset. Theodore (internally ) alludes to loving you and you’re both emotionally stunted idiots in love.
AND that brings us back to now. Enjoy xx
Tumblr media
Friday had finally come, and you couldn't think of a word that could place just how relieved you were feeling. Don't get it wrong, you hugely valued your education, and took pride in working hard, but at the end of the day, there's only so much history of magic one could tolerate before their brain tuned out. The surprise quiz you took in class today told you that you had reached that point many months ago. But it was ok, that was an issue for the future.
You click open the door to your dorm room, tossing your bag haphazardly to the side as you undo your tie, pulling it loose with a groan of relief. Pansy is sprawled out comfortably on your bed because apparently, yours was comfier (they were the exact same thing, she just couldn't be bothered to make hers in the morning.)
You flick a strand of hair that fell in front of your face with a dramatic sigh as you flop down onto the bed, lying perpendicular to Pansy as you rest your head on her lap. She has a half smile of amusement as her hand comes down to pat your head, eyes trained on her book. You raise a brow and shuffle up slightly to catch a glimpse of what she was reading.
You see the word ‘shaft’ once and that's all you need to see as you gasp with fake indignation.
“Pansy… Whilst I'm sitting here?” You groan and she grins, her face slightly red as she shrugs, shameless.
I mean, come on. You weren't a stranger to smut, but right in front of you? You grab the book from her hand and toss it across the room.
“None of that whilst I'm here. Your amazing and beautiful friend is vying for attention so focus on me.’ You say and she playfully rolls her eyes as she lies back on her bed.
“It's disgustingly hot. I can't be bothered for this year anymore. The days are as hot as hell depths and the evening has me freezing my nonexistent balls off.” Pansy moans, and you hum in agreement.
You’re grateful for your friend and her seemingly never-ending talent of speaking because you currently couldn't even muster the energy to speak.
“Do we have to go watch the boys today? Lila told me Madam Pince has charmed the library with a cooling spell. We could go there instead.” Pansy says, sitting up, and the idea is incredibly tempting. You live for nothing more than to get out of this dastardly heat, especially in the comfort of the library (Pansy and yourself had mastered the art of smuggling snacks in. The key was in making sure you triple-checked what you bought in, which you learnt after Pansy had accidentally sat on a Fizzlebees Exploding Sherbet last winter. The poor 1st year who had sat next to you was sure that there was some kind of attack and leapt under the nearest table.)
The mention of practice has your mind thinking back to your most recent encounter with Theodore. Just thinking about it again elicited that strange feeling in your stomach. You were, perhaps, close to a path of redemption (though it was more Theodore redeeming himself.)
With a sigh, you shake your head.
“We promised them we'd come. Besides, imagine the absolute havoc Mattheo will cause when he finds out we ditched for the library of all places. He would get us banned for a month, at the very least.” You say, and Pansy grumbles but ultimately knows you’re right. She sighs, muttering.
“Yes yes, I suppose you're right.” She begrudgingly admits and you grin, sitting up. You walk over to your closet, looking for something else to wear as you felt as though you were positively melting in your uniform. You flick through your closet, cursing the endless void that conveniently was full of sweaters and thick jumpers now summer has come. You dig around and find a pair of black denim shorts towards the back. You don't even know when you got them, but they fit and they'll do the job. You're thankful for the fact that you love the feeling of freshly shaven legs on your bedsheets, because heaven knows you would not bother to shave your legs for a man. You manage to find a green shirt, and you slip it on. It's nothing special really, but you weren't dressing up for anyone. You were long past those days now, you found that it was lovely not giving two shits. Pansy called it alarming, but you liked to think of it as… eclectic.
Pansy brings over her signature red lipstick (which you're sure only she can pull off) and holds your cheek in place to draw a number 10 on it, as standard practice. You reach up to grab her hand.
“Wait. Do 7 instead.” You say. She widens her eyes slightly and wiggles her brows as she looks at you.
“Oh? And why is that?” She probes and you playfully swat her, rolling your eyes.
“Theodore just asked me to. Besides we shouldn't inflate Mattheo's ego too much.” You respond a bit too quickly, and she has a shit-eating grin on her face. Pansy knows you well though, and she knows probing any further will only give her a stinging hex and nothing more, so she simply looks at you with a pointed look as she draws the 7 on instead. You watch as she traces the number 7 on her face too, adjusting her hair as she pouts and blows a kiss at herself in the mirror. You pointedly roll your eyes to tease her and she throws a pillow at you.
“Alright alright, you humble lady. Let's go.” You muse, holding your arm out. The two of you link arms as you descend down to the quidditch pitch. The sun is shining blazing down on you, and you feel uncomfortably hot and sticky within a few seconds of being outside. You truly weren't built for warm weather.
The grass on the pitch is a beautiful rich green and the sky is so picturesquely blue that it seems more like a postcard as opposed to real life. You imagine that this must be their favourite season; you had entertained the idea of watching one match in the winter season and immediately stopped after a gust of wind sent a bird flying into the girl sitting above you (You were sure it had given her that scratch on her cheek.) You couldn't cope with watching a match in such harsh weather, and you couldn't even begin to imagine how it must be to play in such conditions.
Idiots, really. They brought it on themselves. They definitely came to that realisation when they would be dragged out of bed at 5:00 am to go play in the freezing cold whilst you remained blissfully asleep under your warm covers.
You clamber up the stairs of the stands and curse under your breath. For all the beauty and wonders the wizarding world had, was it really that damn hard to have a few escalators here and there? You wanted to watch a practice game, not train to have the thighs of Hercules. You finally reach the top and shimmy down the benches with Pansy, leaning against the railing, The team was already up in the air, circling around whilst tossing the ball to one another. For all the grace and elegance Draco exuded on the ground, you couldn’t help but snicker when you catch the sight of him looking like he had slathered himself in red paint, all sweaty and grimacing; strands of his blonde hair clinging to his face.
“You alright up there Draco? Mummy forget to send you some sun cream?” You call out teasingly, and he sneers at you as Mattheo cackles, swooping down on his broom to greet you and Pansy.
“There they are!” Blaise says, a small grin on his face as he flies down to your level, joining Mattheo. You don’t even have the time to greet him because a loud gasp escapes Mattheo's lips, his hand coming out to grip your chin, tilting your face to the side.
“Traitors!” Mattheo says, eyes flickering between Pansy and yourself. You can't keep the grin off your face as you pry your face out of Mattheo's hands.
“Oh come on Mattheo. We love you all equally and need to express that love as such.” Pansy drawls, a taunting grin on her face.
“Fuck off, I'm the only important one,” Mattheo responds, puffing out his chest as he points to himself.
Blaise has to hold back from rolling his eyes, looking over at you exasperatedly. You exchange a glance with him and you feel your lips curl up into a small smile as you stifle a laugh.
“This was your doing! What did you do to them? Now I'm going to play like shit!” Mattheo whines, as he turns to look up at Theodore.
Theodore.
Your eyes flicker up and sure enough there he is. And god, how dare he look so good in this disgusting heat. His eyes are (and you have the feeling they were like that for quite a bit) trained on you, an unreadable expression on his face. He keeps his gaze on you, and you're sure at that moment he was trying to seduce your soul or play some stupid kind of mind tricks on you to have you thinking of him all day (it was working.)
His lips curl up into that godforsaken smile that borders on a smug little smirk. It has you embarrassingly weak in the knees and suddenly you're very glad it's hot, for you could blame your red cheeks on the heat. He flies down, tearing his gaze away from you as he comes close to Mattheo.
“Come on Mattheo, I’ve got an audience so I need to make sure I beat you embarrassingly quickly today,” Theodore says, egging his friend on.
“Yeah fucking right,” Mattheo says, turning to Theodore as the two engage in the most awful, embarrassing trash talk. You and Pansy exchange a glance and the two of you side-eye them with disdain.
The simple mind of boys managed to amaze you every time. Their attention span was impressively short.
Proving your point, Mattheo flies up to poke fun at Draco and Lorenzo, who both didn't seem to be holding up too well with the heat. You lean your elbows on the railing and stiffen slightly when Theodore flies up next to you. He hovers on his broom mid-air, resting his elbow on the railing in front of you. His face is incredibly close to yours, analysing your face with those sinful eyes of him which should be illegal because
Fuck, you were deprived.
“You wore it.” He says, and he sounds oddly breathless. You were assured by Blaise mere minutes ago that they had barely started practising.
Why did it seem so hard to speak? Why did Theodore seem so surprised? Why did you feel so bashful?
“You asked.” You respond, and his eyes search yours for a second before a smile tugs at his lips. His hand reaches out to cup your face, tilting it to the side as he looks at the 7 on your cheek.
Was this all it took for Theodore to touch you?
You’d have to start drawing 7 everywhere.
His fingers brush against your jaw, and you let out a shaky breath as his thumb runs along your cheek.
His touch leaves a fiery trail in its wake, and you are sure he has to be doing some sort of nonverbal magic because you feel as though you are going crazy. You resist the urge to let your eyes flutter shut because Theodore Nott simply has that effect.
He turns your head back and you stare at one another for a second more before he pulls back, and your mouth feels awfully dry.
“Mattheo smudged it.” He says, and his voice sounds slightly strained as he says so. You can't keep the corners of your lips from lifting slightly as you nod.
“Right.” You breathe out, looking at him. He grins, and this time you have to be sure you have not secured yourself a one-way ticket to the Janus Thickey Ward of St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, because you swear his eyes flicker down to your lips for a brief second before he leans back like he's been forced to do so, wordlessly looking at you once more before he grips the broom with one hand, effortlessly flying up to start practice.
You don’t even have the time to process whatever that was because your ever-eloquent and insightful friend speaks the very thoughts running through your head.
“What in the ever-loving fuck was that?” Pansy utters, eyes wide as she stares at the spot where Theodore was standing.
Amen to that, Pansy. What in the ever-loving fuck was that?
Your hand hovers over your cheek, ghosting over the place Theodore had just touched.
You part your lips to say something, but can't even formulate the words, and Pansy recognises that.
“Holy Shit! He- That-” She says, hands grabbing your shoulders as she shakes you. You're ashamed to say you needed it because you were sure you were dreaming.
“What's going on between you two? First, you’re wearing his number to the match. Then he's practically eye fucking you and you're both literally about to make out.” Pansy babbles and you roll your eyes at her dramatics.
“Oh calm down, Pansy. He barely looked at me, and he was just fixing it because Mattheo had smudged it. There's nothing going on.” She says and Pansy narrows her eyes.
“Oh yes, and I’m fucking straight. We both know that's a lie.” She deadpans, and you shake your head with an exasperated smile.
You couldn't tell whether you wanted to crack up with laughter or strangle the shit out of her. With Pansy, the line blurred more often than not. It’s why you loved her so dearly.
“Genuinely Pansy, nothing’s going on between Theodore and me. We used to be really good friends. That's all.” You say, with a tone of finality. She sighs, mumbling under her breath.
“….Painfully obvious”
“Both know that's a lie…..”
“Hopeless idiot…”
You shoot her a glare at her mumbling and she returns the sentiment with a pointed smile, enough to make you roll your eyes with amusement. You rest your head on her shoulder as the two of you watch the match.
The day Theodore had walked past you like you simply didn't exist was the day you swore to yourself you'd never, EVER, let yourself be good friends with him again. You stuck to your word always, yet this was proving to be one time where you didn't.
You prayed you wouldn't regret this, but alas, the universe is cruel at times.
Tumblr media
The news of Draco’s father cancelling their annual summer holiday trip came surprisingly as great news to your groups as you all lounged in the library (which was as packed as it had ever been thanks to Madam Pince’s cooling charm. You all begged her to teach you the spell but she refused, and you were sure she kept it hidden to make sure people came to the library. Luckily for the group, you were one of the most conscientious students in your year, so you'd all get away with things due to the teachers favouring you greatly. A few other groups were kicked out immediately.)You all sat in a cosy arrangement in the far back end of the library. Pansy sat on the floor beside you, whilst you lounged in an armchair, feet thrown over one arm. Blaise sat on the other arm of the chair, with Draco and Theodore sitting opposite you. Between the armchair and sofa facing one another was a third sofa and a small round table. Mattheo and Lorenzo sat on that third sofa. Lorenzo stretches, sprawled out as he props his feet up on the table. You reach out and slap him with the book you were reading, and he cowers sheepishly as he puts his feet down.
“I was looking forward to summer in Versailles,” Draco complains, and you sigh. Would be nice to be able to go on such trips.
“Actually…” Pansy says, sitting up as though she’s just had an idea. Knowing your friend, you can't help but feel terrified about what's about to come out of her mouth.
“My parents have a beautiful holiday home down in France and they're going to Australia this year, so it's not being used. Why don't we all spend a week there?” Pansy says.
It's actually a very clever Idea, and a chorus of murmurs of agreement and nods echo throughout the group.
“That actually sounds good” Lorenzo says, and Blaise hums in agreement.
“I have family who live in France so they could sort out travel for us when we are there. I'm sure I can go.” Baise says and Pansy claps her hands excitedly, rubbing them together like some kind of evil genius (sometimes you were sure she was.)
“Draco, Theo?” Pansy says, and the mention of Theo's name has your eyes flickering up from your book. He's looking at you but the second your eyes meet he quickly looks at Pansy and nods, clearing his throat.
“Huh? Oh, uh- yeah.Sounds good.” He says. You lightly smile to yourself as you look down at your book.
“ I suppose I’ll tolerate it.” Draco sighs, and a chorus of groans escapes the group at his melodramatic behaviour.
“Oh piss off Draco, just admit you like us,” Mattheo says and Draco scoffs.
The boys very quickly once again get into a semi-play fight, and a stern hush from Madam Pince as she glares at the group of you sends them both sheepishly quiet. She walks away and it’s your turn to glare at the two boys.
“She may like me now, but if you two don't shut up she sure as fuck won't, and ill set your robes on fire if you force me to get through the summer whilst being banned from the library.” You spit, scolding them.
Mattheo and Draco both look down like children being chastised and Blaise has to hide his amusement as he nudges your shoulder, getting up.
“Right well, that's our cue to leave anyway. Have the real match tomorrow so we need an early night.” Blaise says. One by one everyone gets up, Pansy pushing off the floor with a sigh as she dusts down her skirt.
She turns to you, raising a brow.
“You coming?” She asks, holding a hand out and you look up, shaking your head.
“Nah. Gonna stay here for a while. Finish reading this.” You say, holding up your book with a weak smile. Pansy shakes her head with a smile, ruffling your hair (much to your dismay).
“My little neek. Have fun!” She says, and you flip her off at the comment. She grins, blowing a fake kiss back at you as she manoeuvres past the wooden bookshelves and out of the library.
You sigh and feel as though you're sinking further into the plush armchair, a pillow held to your chest as you read your book. Everything about the library was so pleasantly calming. The dim lights that cast dancing shadows of the book spines across the wall. The bibliosmia that you inhaled deeply as you lay for what felt like hours, reading whatever you could get your hands on. You’re so caught up in the allure of the library (Pansy might have a point, you definitely were a neek), that you don't even notice the presence of someone coming to sit down on the sofa next to you until the sound of the leather cushions sagging under weight draws your attention up from the pages of the book.
Seriously? Were you actually that oblivious? It was extremely alarming if you were.
You look up and see Theodore moving to take a seat on the sofa next to you. He stretches out his legs, his large frame suddenly making the space seem a lot smaller.
“Hey.” He says, and your lips quirk up in a smile as you speak.
“Hey,” You respond, folding the corner of your book.
“What are you reading?” Theodore asks, and you raise a brow.
Did he really have an interest in the book you were reading? A few years ago the Theodore you knew would never touch a book (though he would listen to you ramble on about them for an hour.)
But Theodore has changed, And so have you. He’s no longer the Theodore you knew, and the reminder turns the feeling in your stomach unpleasant.
You hold up your book, weakly smiling as you show him the cover. It was rather beaten and bruised, but you had owned this copy since your first year. You’ve reread it more times than you can count.
“Little women,” Theodore says, a small smile of recognition on his face. He remembered you, always walking around with that book. Theodore couldn’t comprehend what half the words in the book meant, but he remembered hearing you talk about it and thinking you were truly the most incredible person he had ever met.
That hadn't really changed.
“Mhmm. Must be my 5th time rereading it this year.” You say, with a small smile, and Theodore lets out a low laugh.
He's looking down at the table, and you admire the way the dim light dances along his features, making them look surprisingly soft.
“Love Jo all your days, if you choose, but don't let it spoil you, for it's wicked to throw away so many good gifts…” Theodore starts, gaze trained ahead.
“......because you can't have the one you want” You finish, quietly.
Theodore's gaze drops to his hands, fiddling with the threads on his bag. The air is thick with unspoken words. A quiet dance of regrets lingers in the spaces between your words.
"Little Women," Theodore repeats, his fingers tracing the zip on his bag. "I remember how you used to quote passages from that book like they were sacred verses. It was almost like a religion for you."
You can sense the undertone in his words—the acknowledgement of a shared past that now exists as a distant echo.
The silence that follows hangs heavy.
You shift uncomfortably in your seat, the worn pages of the book suddenly feeling like a fragile shield against the currents of emotion. Theodore's eyes, once familiar and comforting, now carry a hint of regret and a touch of something unsaid.
"Jo March was always your favourite," he continues, his voice soft, almost hesitant.
“Still is,” you say, and he nods, looking up at you. His smile is tight-lipped, and you fight the urge to reach forward and massage the furrow of his brow. He reaches into the side pocket of his bag, pulling out a book.
Little women.
You frown as you take the copy from him, flicking through it. There are scribbles and annotations all over the pages.
You hate the way you instantly recognise his handwriting - another testament as to how Theodore was weaved into everything you did.
Theodore takes the book back, his fingers lingering on the worn cover. He opens the book, thumbing through the pages, his eyes fixing on the annotations.
"I've been reading it," he admits, his voice a low murmur. "Annotating it. I wanted to see it through your eyes, to understand why it meant so much to you."
You watch him, and your heart clenches at his voice. At his eyes, At the way he speaks, and the way he keeps his head down. The realisation that he held onto this piece of you, even as you both drifted apart, is enough to send you into a spiral.
"I see you in these pages," Theodore continues, his gaze locking onto the annotated paragraphs. "I see you in between the lines, and in the words. I see you in Jo, I see you in the witty comments. Every time I read this, It's like a piece of you is still here with me."
A lump forms in your throat, and you swallow hard, trying to push back the tears that threaten to spill over.
Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry
“Every time I read these words, I feel like I'm back with you, even if just for a moment." He admits, looking up at you.
The devastation in his eyes is surely mirrored in your own.
You want to cry. You want to shout, because how dare he sit here, and speak of you with such reverence, and act like he cares for you when he had forgotten about you so easily? How dare he say he sees you in everything he does when he looked right past you when you stood in front of him?
How dare he act like he missed you when he didn’t?
You can't say anything. You physically can't, because every time you open your mouth it hurts. Grief clings to the pipes, scratching at your throat. It restricts your breathing, it gnaws at you.
Theodore looks at you and clears his throat, quickly looking down. You fail to make out the fact that his own eyes are threatening to spill with tears, as your own teary eyes cloud your vision.
It was always like that with you and Theodore.
Amid your shared tears, the unspoken suddenly becomes the unsayable.
He gets up, and he can't bear to look at your face because every glance of those tears in your eyes eats away at his heart. He grabs his bag and throws it over his shoulder, rushing out for fear of what you might say.
“See you” He murmurs, walking away. You can’t tear your gaze away from where he walks away even as his form disappears, and you swear the boy had taken part of your heart with him.
The quote “Fate was a cruel mistress” Never made much sense to you. Fate was beautiful even in its destructive nature. Fate was unstoppable, she didn't wait for anyone or veer away. You used to admire that about her. You found it to be a beautiful thing. Of course, it's because you also believe that fate would only wait for you. Wait that one extra second. Then, perhaps, Theodore and you would be on the same path. Instead, you were two, walking the same path only a heartbeat apart. As if time itself conspires to teach that love can occur in the same book, but pages apart.
You cannot love the beauty of her tenacity and cower from it too.

hugging them for the first time pt5
Pomefiore Dorm & staff (Vil, Rook, Crewel, Trein, Vargas, and sam)
Y/n has been at NRC for a while and she's never hugged anyone (besides grim) until today. Y/n took in a deep breath before walking out the door of the ramshackle dorm with grim on her shoulder.
Rook Hunt: He already knows what's going on and is excited! When he sees y/n walking towards the pomefiore dorm he was singing praises as he ran towards her. Y/n had a feeling rook knew he’s rook he always knows. Anyway when she saw the blond hunter running towards her singing praises she just shook her head, smiled, and held her arms out for the french man, Which he quickly wrapped his arms around her and hugged y/n very tightly while swinging her around.
Vil Schoenheit: Ask before touching! Y/n may be his favorite potato but ask first! Vil was in his room doing his normal afternoon routine when he heard a knock on the door “enter!” vil said as he just finished putting the lotion on his face “Roi du Poison little trickster is here to see you” Rook happily said as he opened the door revealing both rook and y/n “come in my potato! You're just in time to try this new lotion! Rook shut the door on the way out please!” Vil smiled as he patted the seat beside him. Y/n walked over to him and gently sat down beside him. “Ok my potato, what brings you to me today?” vil asked as he rubbed the lotion on y/ns puggy face “Nothing wrong, i just wanted to ask if i could give the fairest of them all a hug?” Y/n asked vil looked at her before smiling and pulling her into a hug “of course potato! Thank you for asking as well” vil said as he patted the back of her head.
Crowely: Hair spay and a lighter I'm making smoked crow sorry Crowley fans, no touching this man in my story. Crowely “come on give me a hug i’ve been so generous” “Mf you overwork me, cut the money, threaten to kick me out of the ramshack if i don't do your job and more!” Crowely sat pouting in a corner. Y/n definitely bribed ruggie to steal the crows credit cards ( my Hogwarts oc everytime crowley upsets her off “AVADA-” was tackled and hugged by the first years.)
Crewel: Father! Y/n saw her father figure she smiled as she quickly walked up beside him “afternoon professor crewel you need some help?” y/n asked crewel looked shocked for a second “sorry pup you startled me, but yes i would greatly appreciate the help” crewel said as y/n opened her arms he gently placed some of the stuff he was holding into her arms “thank you pup!” crewel smiled at y/n as they started walking. As they walked down the hall y/n and crewel was talking about each others days since today was one of the days y/n didn’t have potions. Crewel was proud that she got a 90% on her last history quiz. Soon they got to crewel's classroom and they placed everything on his desk “D- professor crewel earlier you looked very concentrated. Anything else I can help you with?” y/n asked crewel smiled before he shock his head no “no pup thank you though and here for helping me” crewel replied as he handed her a lollipop y/n smiled before hugging him. Crewel froze before hugging her back. They soon let go of each other Y/n waved by before she left. Crewel nodded to himself “i’ve made up my mind” {can you guess where this is going? hehe)
Trien and Lucius: Grandpa! Head pats{he reminds me of my grandpa. Strict and good at history} Trien was walking out of his classroom with Lucuis when he saw y/n walking down the empty school hall “hello professor Trien, Hello Lucius!” y/n waved at them “y/n meow what are you doing roaming the halls at this hour school ended thirty minutes ago” Trien asked as he watched y/n pet lucius making the grumpy cat purr “i was helping Professor crewel take stuff to his classroom” y/n replied Trien nodded. Y/n went to his side before hugging him he just hmmed before gently patting her on the head. “Now run along” Trien said y/n nodded and quickly walked off. Trien had a small smile on his lips.
Vargas: He will pick you/BEAR HUG! Vargas was putting up some of the left over brooms from flight class. “Here” a small voice said Vargas turned to see y/n holding the rest of the brooms “Thanks! I’m glad you're here. I wanted to let you know you’re really good at flying, i’m proud!” Vargas said as he took the brooms from her and locked him up in their place. Vargas turns around and bear hugs y/n, y/n just laughed and tries to hug him the best she could.
Sam: Big brother. Sam knew y/n was on her way to see him, his friends on the other side told him. Soon he heard the door open “Hello my Little imp! What can i do for you today?” sam asked as he walked up to y/n “i need something but you don’t sell it” y/n started sam hmmed “hmm what would that be? Since your my favorite imp i can get it in a snap!” sam smiled bowing alittle bit “A hug from you” y/n said quickly Sam straighten back up and looked at her for a second “you wanna hug from me?” sam asked y/n nodded “only if you’re ok with it” she replied sam just smiled “Come here little imp!” he said opening his arms y/n gladly hugged him and she could feel someone hugging her back she looked the best she could and saw sams shadow on the wall hugging her.

Not to be like "haha I'm better than you guys!!!" or elitist or anything because that very sincerely is NOT the point of this post.... but I never really understood people extremely love for Harry Potter.
I read them as they were coming out. Most of the time they came out soon enough that I was the same age as Harry. I liked them. They were cool. Goblet of Fire was my favourite and I was always happy to see what story the next book would bring but that's all it was. Interest to see the next story whenever it came out. Like a sitcom you enjoy but you didn't set your tv to record for you in case you missed it.
And then the word "Chosen one" was uttered and, just like that, I fucking lost all interest. Honestly there was "Chosen one" talk in the 4th book and already I was like
Tumblr media
Honestly I think I liked Goblet of Fire the most because there was no friggen Quidditch. And there was less focus on the SCHOOL part of Harry Potter and more this weird Video game Quest setup which just appealed to me more.
In retrospect, I think that might be a big part of why I enjoyed it but never LOVED it like other people.
Like
"Oh boy my absolute biggest most favourite fantasy! THE BRITISH EDUCATION SYSTEM!!!!"
The fact that the books take place in a school seemed like a default to me because, well, most teenage focused cartoons and shows I watched had the main characters at school. Because they're teenagers. But the school wasn't why I enjoyed the books. The school was just a location. No I didn't want to go to Hogwarts. No I didn't want to get attached to a specific school house (although I feel it worth mentioning that when I was 13 I did the online house quiz thing on the official site and it said I was Hufflepuff so make of that what you will).
I really disliked whatever the one was that came after Goblet of Fire. So much so that it completely killed any and all enjoyment I had in the series. Which, considering I was only mildly entertained by them wasn't a massive loss or anything.
I know I read whichever book it was where Dumbledore died but I very genuinely cannot remember one single thing that happens in that book whatsoever. I read half of the Deathly Hallows after coming back from College and gave up because I wasn't enjoying any of it and I never picked the book up again.
I saw the first movie in theaters when I was 13 and I did not like it. It was visually very very dark and gloomy and just... extremely uninteresting to me. Idk how to explain it. The first book just felt so much more vibrant than what I was watching on screen.
I know I saw the 2nd movie although I have no memory of where or why. And I... THINK I saw the third one??? I think??? I'm actually not sure. But that's about where I just stopped and completely lost interest.
Because it wasn't very good.
They just weren't very good books.
They weren't TERRIBLE or anything like that but they were just so.... blah. The earlier ones 13 year old me enjoyed the one time I read each of them but I don't think 13 year old me had the best taste considering I also disliked the Princess Bride at this age.
But I was reading other books because I was a kid with ADHD in high school who desperately needed something stimulating to stop myself from going insane. And frankly, there were just far better books out there. Books I actually re-read. Books I borrowed from friends which ere just... so much better and more interesting.
So I just don't understand this insane appeal so many people have for it, even if they have severed that connection due to Jowling Kowling Rowling's bufoonery and showing herself to be a withered old crone with a shrivled heart and mind every time she opens her mouth.
I grew up with these books the same way as a lot of people. I was the exact age to go through the series' highest popularity and I just did not click with them despite reading them.
So seeing so many people my age or a little younger try and do their best to re-analyse and de-tangle what the books actually are and that... maybe.... just maybe.... they might not have been very good?? Maybe?? is very weird to me because I'm just like.
"Yeah they're overrated as hell and not that interesting."
It's a very weird thing to live through because it's like looking into a bizarro version of the world you remember living through... but not like THAT. I remember the Pokemon craze and yes, it was like that. I remember when anime started to become big and yes, it was like that. I remember DBZ airing and yes, it was like that.
But this insanity around Harry Potter while it was releasing?
Yeah I don't remember it being like that at all.
They were just mediocre books I read because I needed something to occupy my attention and eventually they got worse and worse and I just stopped reading them. That's all.

What I want in a Hogwarts Legacy Sequel
Masterlist
Whilst it might be too much for us to hope for, I really do hope we get a sequel.
For me, I’d absolutely love to have a sequel be a continuation of our story, with the same characters that we’ve come to love, as well as some new ones to interact with.
Starting in our sixth year, what makes the most sense to me from a gameplay/story standpoint would be the Triwizard Tournament. Yes, it’s not canon that it would have occurred at this time, but then our MC isn’t exactly canon either!
So, here are my ideas.
The Overarching Story
A Triwizard Tournament could work for a number or reasons, such as each trial splitting up the seasons in much the same way as the Keepers Trials did, the narrative being that you as the Hogwarts Champion (because of course you are) has to solve puzzles and prepare to fight through various tasks. This will enable the character to learn new spells and potions to help them on their quest. The end of each school ‘term’ would be a Task, much like the Trials. Your friends and teachers could help your prepare for it by teaching you advanced spells, tricks and lore that will help you in your endeavours, as well as our main friends helping you figure out what each task is.
As well as this, there could be some kind of sub-plot that enables our characters to go beyond the Scottish Highlands – naturally we would spend a lot of our time in the world the devs so lovingly created, I’d never want to leave that world behind for anything, and there’s plenty the devs could do to add in new things for us to explore.
The sub-plot I’m thinking of could build on the remnants of the poachers and Ashwinders we defeated at the end of fifth year, and they’ve somehow fenagled the Goblet of Fire to accept only us as the Hogwarts Champion in an attempt to get rid of us, a la Harry Potter. Our investigations could take us to Diagon Alley, the Ministry of Magic, even Azkaban, using spells we’ve learned to solve the mystery.
It could also mean we get to meet students from other schools – yay new friends! Or rivals! Sebastian gets jealous if you flirt with them!
(Also there’s the opportunity for that Yule Ball everyone wants where you can ask one of your friends as a date.)
Oh, and whatever you chose to do with Sebastian at the end of fifth-year (if any of you turned him in I'm coming for your innards) there will be a reason he's back at school - either lack of evidence or Omi used his connections to help bail him out or whatever, but he's still with us.
Spells
We should keep ALL the spells, potion recipes and abilities we had in HogLeg. There’s no way to logically remove said knowledge from our arsenal, and it makes sense that, as sixth-years, we would expand our knowledge of magic and the world around us.
Spells like Reducto, Impedimenta, Episkey and such would be useful and make narrative sense to learn. We could build on our Ancient Magic, the Keepers teaching us a new ability each term that makes narrative sense without overpowering us (I know we’re pretty OP anyway, but stay with me on this). Other spells we could learn could be Expecto Patronum (I reckon an in-game quiz of some kind would be useful for this, as well as our choices in-game impacting on what our Patronus is), even some more unsavoury spells from our favourite curse-master.
We could learn other spells from our other friends as well, who of course would be eager to help us prepare for the upcoming tournament tasks. I reckon Sebastian, though he will have sworn off Dark Magic by this point, would be willing to teach us powerful spells that toe the moral line a bit, defensive magic or stealth spells. He’s very clever, so he’d be the one to teach you the history of the TWT and be instrumental in helping you figure out what each task is. Ominis, of course, could teach us useful detection spells that help him navigate (like a suped-up Revelio or echolocation charm) or healing spells. Poppy could teach us more about beasts (more on that in a minute), Natty could teach us how to become an animagus, Amit could teach us a method to level-up certain magic at night… the possibilities are endless!
Friendships/Relationships
I want all of our original friends to remain our friends and act accordingly – they want to help you win the TWT and help where they can – these could be side quests/tie in to the main quest.
In HogLeg’s original game files, there is a friendship chart. It was sadly scrapped and only in the very early stages of development before it was cut, but I’d love to see it implemented in a sequel. I’d say all major characters and professors should have a relationship meter ranging from -10 to +10, like nemesis to best friends, and your choices matter in this game. For example, you might have to very carefully navigate your relationship with Sebastian and Ominis, because pleasing one might upset the other, and you’d have to make very astute decisions to make them both your besties (I imagine Omi would still be upset with Seb for all he did in fifth year, and part of your relationship quests with them is helping them be friends again at the start).
Other relationship quests could be helping Sebastian repair his relationship with Anne (or helping him accept he's done wrong and he should let her come to him), helping Ominis begin the Downfall of the Gaunts (Gaunt Manor, yo!) and giving Noctua a proper burial, helping Poppy rescue beasts from her parents, getting into trouble gathering ingredients with Garreth, things like that.
Doing favours for other students will impact positively on your relationship, while fucking them over or refusing to help them (like not giving Zenobia her gobstones back, or not giving Puffskein Duncein his Tentacula leaf) would make them dislike you. I think for major characters like Sebastian, Ominis, Natty, Poppy, Amit and Garreth, it’s a given that you’re friends, and you’d have to actively work to upset them and make them dislike you – if one of them does, and you need them to learn a spell or something to progress, you’d need to be nice to them to make them like you enough again to help.
For Professors, doing well in classes (more on that later!) and completing your tasks well would curry favour with them, whilst slacking off, being rude etc would make them dislike you. Professors should be more inclined to give you housepoints if they like you, and dock them if they think you're a little shit.
I’d also like to be able to influence friendships between students as well, but that’s less important on my list of wants.
I’d say at the end of the school year, if enough students and teachers like you, they’ll see your Triwizard victory as a just achievement and celebrate as such, but if you’re unpopular, you won’t get the credit you deserve, with some students commenting that you must have cheated, etc. It's a small thing, but I think it matters.
Personally, I don’t need a romance option in HogLeg (lets face it, nothing could live up to what we’ve dreamed up in the fandom!) but even something as simple as handholding would be amazing.
On that note…
Companions
We NEED companions for the sequel. It's all very well for us PC players, we’ve got mods, but what about everyone else? Companions need to be brought into the sequel, and this is where I’d love the handholding mechanic to come into play. Walking through Hogwarts, the Highlands and Hogsmeade with the option to be holding hands with Natty or Garreth or Poppy or Sebastian or Ominis would be incredible, even if it’s just an animation and it holds no narrative weight. Being able to bring someone along with you, with their little lines of dialogue about your surroundings just makes the game even better than it is by itself.
(Playstation's Ico had a wonderful handholding mechanic, I want it to be like that).
Having your friends with you to fight by your side is, in my opinion, very important. I don’t think companions should join you in the tasks, much like they can’t join you for the Keeper’s Trials, but having them with you while you dash off all over the place and get into trouble would be brilliant, especially if they have more companion-focused dialogue, like Ominis being horrified if you use an Unforgivable in front of him, but encouraging you to get up to a little mischief (you’re quite the covert little thief, aren’t you? 💦💦), Sebastian commenting on your skills when you fight or if you sneak into somewhere you shouldn't be (how funny would it be for companions to comment on you breaking into a professor's bedroom, especially if your companion was a professor!), Poppy sassing enemies left and right, and Garreth using his experimental potions… I could go on forever about how amazing it could be with just a little more.
Lessons
It’s been mentioned that one of the things people would like is the ability to feel more like a student. Whilst I think that too many lessons you have to attend would spoil the freedom of the game a bit, I’ve seen ideas bandied about that your spells can only reach full potential if you do some lesson ‘mini-games’ – I’m on board with this idea. The only worry is it could become repetitive, but provided it’s not overdone and is optional, it could make for more immersive gameplay.
Collectibles/Selling Stuff
I really do like collectibles in RPGs like this, and I think it’s an essential part of the HL/HP games to have them, but I’d like more options to sell things we acquire. Usually by the time we hit winter in HogLeg, I’m so overpowered I don’t need to use wiggenweld except in rare circumstances, and have to actively injure my character in order to take the potion and free up the slots for when my hopping pots all have wiggenweld in them so I can use them again! If we had the option to sell the potions we brew and the plants we grow as well as clothes we find, that would be incredible.
(Also, if we upgrade our clothes, it should sell for more. Just saying.)
Merlin trials can sod off though, unless they make the cutscene skippable.
Beasts and the Room of Requirement
I don’t think the RoR needs much improving on what we’ve got, so at the start of sixth year it should be like it was at the end of fifth, only through the game and exploring the various locations you can get more decorations and furniture you can actually use (like sitting on the sofas or having a cup of tea, or doing your homework at a table, even if it’s just an animation) and the Room gets bigger/gets more rooms. A bedroom, a bathroom, things like that would just be perfect.
We NEED to be able to bring our friends to the Room, and they actually comment on it. Each student should have favourite beasts that they like (and if you bring Duncan Hobhouse in to meet your Puffskeins, he runs away screaming), and they actively play with them/groom them without you directing them (Omi would totes be besties with your unicorns). Poppy, especially, would be happy to see Highwing again, I’m sure.
You should be able to play games with your friends, like wizard chess or the like, which improves your relationships with them regardless of whether you win or lose (but if you win they give you a present), plus sassy dialogue if you lose and comments on your strategy.
New beasts would be amazing, like aquatic beasts, perhaps, winged horses (new mount!), crups and such. Not essential, but I think it would be great.
Choices Matter
Perhaps the most important bit of this long, rambly post is that your choices should matter. Originally there was going to be a housepoint/morality system in HogLeg, and I’ll be damned if I don’t want it for a sequel. Earning points for helping people, completing your class work, rescuing beasts and choosing ‘good’ dialogue options would net you points, whereas being a dickhead would lose you points. You should compete with other houses, and each student should have a percentage of points that they’re likely to win or lose. Sebastian, for example, ever the hellion, would likely lose a lot of points because he’s a rule-breaking little devil, (I imagine Ominis would too, in fairness he’s canonically a bit of a troublemaker too, but he’s just as likely to earn points IMHO). Garreth I think would win and lose points equally – he’s talented, but a bit too strong-headed to really listen to authority. Natty I think would earn more than she loses, etc etc etc. I could go on.
Breaking curfew, casting curses (where you can be seen by a prefect/teacher) or general asshattery could lose you points, but I reckon depending on the difficulty level should impact how easy it is to win points back. I’d say it’s not a given that your house will win the cup, and you actually have to work for it.
Other Bits I Want
Photo Mode – the game’s too beautiful to not have it.
No Mercy Mode – after you complete the main story, we should have this option
Ability to change Seasons after the main game is over
Curfew (turn on/off) – it’d be fun to have, but the ability to turn it off would be great so it doesn’t get too troublesome
No flight restrictions. Let me fly over Hogsmeade, damnit!
More enemy types – including dementors/lethifolds
Alohomora just unlocks doors – no shitty minigame
Functional Common Rooms – sleeping in your bed to speed time, classmates congregating there at night/going to bed (don’t care if they have to teleport there), etc.
Meals in the Great Hall – even if it’s just an animation, it’d be nice to sit with your friends.
At LEAST one F-bomb from one of the characters. Unexpected and hilarious. But which one?
I’m sure there’s plenty more I’ve missed or some things that just won’t work, but this would be my ideal sequel. Thoughts?

Silver Orbs
Draco x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Anxiety, self doubt, trouble eating, sleeping habits, that’s all :)
Summary: Reader has a feeling someone’s eyes are on her, and she isn’t wrong.
Note: I don’t use Y/N, and thank you all so much for all the forms of support! I was kind of insecure about my work, so thank you!
__
The noises of utensils hitting plates and chatter filled her ears, her eyes settled on the food in front of her that seemed to be getting more and more unappealing by the second. The anxiety that was brewing in her stomach wouldn’t stop, the endless possibilities of her results on the quiz she took in Charms whirling in her brain. I mean, she couldn’t have done that bad, right? She considered herself good at Charms, always seeming to remember the right ways to flick the wand and how to form the words with her lips. But the insecurity was still in the back of her mind, whispering to her that she was going to fail because she second guessed herself. So it didn’t surprise her when she over prepared herself for the quiz; meaning staying up late and studying in the Slytherin Common Room. She couldn’t help it, almost like she had to prove the voice in her head wrong. Telling it she could properly prepare and succeed. It was like a competition; her against anxiety.
Anxiety meaning she couldn’t eat and sleep properly. And it wasn’t like this just because of a simple Charms quiz. It happened with everything really. How Snape would react to her Potion, even though she was really quite good at following the particular directions in the book and the right color was bubbling in the cauldron. Or that one time she had to go up in front of the class to smell the Amortentia; till this day she didn’t know who she smelled, the scent of apple trees and mint still lingering in her nose once in a while whenever she thought about it. She wasn’t around much boys and she when she was she didn’t take note on how they smelled.
Like she would, some boy’s scent in a silly potion was the last of her worries.
What she did take note of is that whenever she was eating, or attempting to, she felt a soft stare on her head, like someone was swallowing her appearance and taking it for themselves. At first she thought it was some silly feeling that was simply another addition to her anxious symptoms, but when the feeling of being watched occurred more than once she found herself looking around. She knew it was someone near her since she felt the stare on the side of her face, eyes boring into her cheekbone like it were the Charms paper she was studying the day before.
This present day as she once again was unable to eat she once more felt it, the soft stare that settled on her. It was almost like a sixth sense, the feeling of someone’s eyes on her, nudging at her chest as a reminder it was there.
She suddenly had the courage to look up, having enough of the uneasy sense but making no effort to find the culprit.
She scanned the crowd, seeing everyone having no issues when it came to nourishment.
It was in that moment that their eyes met, the silver orbs almost impossible to look away from. She knew it sounded cheesy, but out of all the magic in the generations of Hogwarts nothing compared to what she was feeling then. Even when a snarl was on his lips and annoyance on his gaze, she could tell by the way he held it he didn’t want to challenge her to see if she would look away first, but to feel more of what he was feeling. Now that’s not how she truly thought he felt, but it was something she convinced herself of because it made her feel the magic stronger. But as they stared longer- neither of them looking away- the precious scowl slowly dropped from his lips and curiosity filled his orbs, wanting to see what she beheld.
It was only when student by student got up from their seats, bodies filing her view instead of silver that the gaze broke. She found herself swerving her head to and fro, scanning through swishes of green robes to spot the boy again, but he was no where to be seen.
***
She laid in bed that night, trying to break down the occurrence. But whenever she went down a road of reasoning, her mind took over itself and went back to the silver orbs of Draco Malfoy, reminding her deep down that all she wanted that night was to look into them once more.

Hello 👋 can give dating edward cullen x fem reader headcanons please 🙏
Dating Edward Cullen Headcanons:
Twilight Master list
Tumblr media
So for starters this relationship isn't gonna be like the one he had with Bella, she exist in this world but she's not a major problem... We'll get to that eventually.
So in the twilight universe Edward falls for his blood singer(Bella) but in this world I think he'd relize his true mate is another vampire. This wouldn't cause so much pressure for him and less problems for both families.
For some background, your the Denali's newest addition, Eleazar and Carmen adopted you and that's how you and Edward met.
You both knew you guys were mates, the bond was there but he knew you deserved to be taken out on dates and you guys should be able to learn about each other.
The first date was an outside theater he set up for the both of you in your back yard. He picked out all your favorite movies, but you ended up ignoring them and just talking the whole time.
You bring out a more playful side of him, Carlisle has never seen him so happy or heard him laugh so much.
He's very affectionate person with you. Always kissing your forehead or hugging you.
If he wants attention he'll seek it, it doesn't matter if your reading or doing homework he'll pull you to his chest and you'll continue working.
You help him see that he's not a monster, you guys work very hard to make him see himself the way you do. “your not the monster you think you are”
“well, king kong once said it was beauty that killed the beast” what Edward means by this is that your bright personality snuffed out the darkness(the beast) he felt inside him.
His First 'I love you' was after about three months into dating, he knew the moment he saw you that he loved you but he wanted to make sure this is what the both of you wanted.
You guys did have a long distance relationship for a while, year maybe because you lived in Alaska and the Cullens were living in Seattle at the time. Eleazar and Carlisle knew the both of you were miserable being so far away from each other, so they made arrangements for Edward and the Cullens to move to Alaska.
Edward and you always have long conversation about your passions. Sometimes it's book or music. Whatever is on your mind you talk about it.
Speaking of mind, he can read it but he tries not to. He very much respects your privacy, so he only does went it's 100% necessary.
Back to passions and books you don't relize how many discussion and friendly arguments you've guys had about Harry Potter. Most of the time its you trying to convince Edward that Cedric Diggory wasn't an annoying character. “no guy should be that perfect! And there's no way he would have won the tournament”
You made him take the hogwarts house quize and He's a Ravenclaw.
Your the only one who can call him Eddie. Emmett doses it just to mess with him, but Eddie is a nickname he only loves when you call him it. “she the only on who can call me that”
Remember when I said Edward is so much more playful since you came into his life, well you guys have millions of inside jokes and your always playing games to keep yourself entertained.
You guys play tag a lot and there's no rules, all vampire abilities are in use and you guys get very competitive. Esme and Carmen have baned you from playing in the house though.
Your not aloud to play around the house at all actually, not after you accidentally pushed Edward threw the wall. Carmen and Esme grounded you both.
“well I hope you guys don't have anything planed this weekend beacuse you're spending it fixing the wall.” Esme said, Carmen did cuss you guys out in Spanish.
Since you guys have alot of time on your hands during the night he's token upon himself to teach you how to play piano.
Peaking of music your Song isn't gonna be thousand years or Flightless bird(as mush as I love both songs) but your song is Can't help falling in love by Elvis Presley.
You guys dance alot too, at night when the right song is playing you guys just sway around in your room without a care in the world.
You guys don't argue alot, if you do it's about him feel insecure about himself or the fact your reckless. Vampire or not he wants you safe.
His kisses are always full of passion and love. He makes sure you know your the only girl he wants and since your a vampire he isn't afraid to hurt you, but that doesn't mean he's rough with you or just doesn't care.
You guys are engaged by the time you moved to Forks, you guys planed to have the wedding after your graduation.
But since your now in Forks that meant you guys have to deal with Bella. Bella becomes obsessed with Edward, but he doesn't care. Your the only girl he wants and he remains faithful.
Bella wouldn't let up even going to the length of trying to befriend Alice and Rosalie just so she could get closer to Edward. Rosalie wouldn't tolerate it, she loves you like a sister and she doesn't want to see your relationship get screwed up by a stupid human.
“he has a girlfriend”
“I don't see her” Bella said.
“turn around, now you see her”
She tried to break you guys up by spreading rumers or trying to start fight between you two, but she failed everytime. No amount of power could tair you two apart.
She did give up after a while but she remained snapy towrds your families, but it's easy to ignore her.
Well since there's no Bella that means no birthday party for Jasper to lose his shit at. But you guys do end up going to Alaska after graduation, you and Edward got to graduate early with high honors.
Playing baseball is so much funner in the snow and since both of your families are there that ment bigger teams. Denalis vs. Cullens, I'll let you decide who wins.
Emmett and Edward do cheat, but Edward always gose easy on you. But you don't need it, your a total bad ass and Edward couldn't feel more lucky.
You guys get married in Alaska and it's a small wedding, just what you wanted and Tayna planed it with Rose and Kate's help.
Later on you end up adopting a little girl, Edward and you wanted kids. This also give Edward the opportunity to the daughter what Carlisle was to him.
In conclusion, Edward is the happiest he's ever been. He with the woman of his dreams and he couldn't feel so content with life.
You made his life better.

When They realize they love you.
Showcases Harry, Draco, Ron, Neville, Luna, Hermione, Sirius, Remus, Severus, and Tom.
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pronouns: gender neutral
TW: Some light cursing(??) mentions of getting injured.
When they realized they loved you
Harry Potter
After a quidditch game, Harry is one of the best seekers Hogwarts had ever seen, so naturally he’d win the end game of the year! As he caught the Golden snitch everyone around him erupted in chaos as people cheered and screamed.
The Gryffindor team immediately lowered their brooms to the ground as victory seeped in.
An hour later Harry made his way to the common room, as he entered his dorm there was a breakout of praise and song as they basked in another year of glory.
Harry made his way over to you, Ron, and Hermione. But was pushed back when you ran at him full speed and roped him into a hug.
As he hugged you back a blush blossomed onto his cheeks.
He could definitely get used to that.
Draco Malfoy
During a late night talk, It was nearing 3 Am and you and Draco laid on his bed, You’d been up for ages it seemed as the two of you talked about nothing in particular.
The topic had landed on your alls grades as you vented about hoe Snape had failed you on the last quiz,
“I just don’t understand how you can do so well in his class! It’s impossible” You exclaimed.
“Oh Y/n, don’t you know? I’m too good to fail.” He smirked at you.
You stared at each other for a second before you burst into a fit of laughter,
As Draco stared at your laughing face his heart skipped a beat.
Even if life wasn’t great sometimes, you really made it better.
Ron Weasley
When he’s jealous, A burning feeling blazed in his chest as he saw Hermione and Krum at the dance. How dare she! After all he and Harry had done for her? And she goes and makes friends with the enemy?
He huffed himself further into his seat as Harry left him to go get some punch.
A shadow loomed over him, making him look up, Staring into the face of Y/n.
“Hey Ron, Are you doing alright?” You said, taking a seat where Harry had been.
“Yeah, I’m fine- This night has turned out to be right bollocks though.” He crossed his arms further.
“Well…I already talked to Harry and he said that it’d be okay if we wanted to get out of here.”
Ron quickly looked over towards you, “Get out of here? Yeah, cmon, let's do it.”
He led you out of the dining hall and outside into the courtyard, As you two stood under the moonlight, Ron only had one thought.
He had never seen someone more beautiful than you in his life.
Neville Longbottom
While hanging out in the greenhouses, “And this one is called a venomous tentacula- It’s something used in potions quite frequently, but very dangerous. So please be careful!”
Neville went through each of the plants, telling you what they did and how they grew, as he ranted to you, he looked up to see you staring at him lovingly.
He stuttered his way through the next three plants as he blushed harder than a Weasley.
He never realized before how nicely your eyes lit up when he started to speak, well, he could get used to that.
Luna Lovegood
Patching her up after she got hurt, Most thestrals were loving creatures, honestly! But like any other animal, they did get hostile.
Luna just so happened to catch one of the thestrals while they were in a bad mood.
You rushed to the Ravenclaw common room as soon as you heard what had happened.
Answering the riddle, you entered the dorm, looking around for Luna.
“Oh hello, Y/n” Luna smiled serenely from one of the navy couches.
“Luna! Oh, are you okay? I heard you got quite the nasty scratch from a thestral.
“Hmm? Oh, yes I did.” She showed you a red mark on her forearm.
Pulling gauze out of your bag, you sat down next to her and gently grabbed her arm and started to patch her up.
Looking at you while you worked your magic made her feel a sense of calm, how strange.
Hermione Granger
Helping you with homework, The two of you had been in the library for hours now as Hermione tried and failed to help you wrap your head around a spell for charms class
As Hermione pointed towards one of the many books she had gathered she showed you the motions to mimic.
”Ok, Y/n, Now you try.”
As you moved your wand a blue luminance came out, you had finally done it!
“Yes! You did it!” Hermione cheered before quieting down with an embarrassed look.
The smile you gave her was as bright as the morning sun in Hermione's eyes.
Why is her heart beating so fast now?
Remus Lupin (young)
Chilling by the Black Lake, You laid in the soft grass as the sun started to set, you had been reading a muggle story to Remus as he laid his head in your lap.
“And they all lived happily ever after, The End.” You slipped the book closed and looked down at him.
“So, whaddya think?”
Remus smiled up at you, “I loved it. Your voice is so soothing to listen to.”
You blushed and looked away, “Only because I have such a good listener.”
Now it was his turn to smile as you looked on smugly.
He all the sudden shifted and tackled you onto the ground, You laughed as you playfully fought against him.
Remus had never felt so…peaceful in his life.
Sirius Black (Young)
Helping him pull a prank,  “hahah! I cannot believe James let us use the cloak! Oh this is gonna be amazing!” Sirius whispered to you as he hid you both under the invisibility cloak.
You giggled along with him as you two played out your plan, to finally prank Remus!
“Alright here's the plan, we sneak up behind him, you cast Rictumsempra (tickling charm), and then I'll tackle him from behind! It’s genius!”
As you sneaked up on Remus you silently cast the spell, The werewolf started to laugh and dropped the book he was reading,
Sirius sprang out of the cloak and pulled Remus down to the ground.
“You win! You win!” Remus laughed as Sirius started to roughhouse him.
“Whoo! 50 points to Sirius!” Sirius raised both arms into the air as you revealed yourself from the cloak.
“Yeah!” You exclaimed as Sirius celebrated with you.
He never wanted this to end.
Severus Snape (young)
Stopping Potter and his gang from bullying him, “Snivellus! You can’t hide from us forever!” James called out as he and the marauders stalked towards Severus.
“Not today Potter! Leave me alone!” Severus yelled back as he tried to get away from the other boys.
“Hey Potter! Didn’t you hear him!? Leave him alone you insufferable twat!” You fumed at james and his friends.
Severus stared at you in awe as James sheepishly apologized to you before shooting him a nasty glare.
You turned towards him and asked if he was okay, he just nodded.
“Cmon Sev, Let’s go and get something to drink, yeah?”
“Okay, yeah.”
You led him to the Hogwarts kitchens and had the house elves prepare them tea.
As you talked to him and made him laugh he could forget Potter and his friends.
Tom Riddle
When It’s the last day of school, The train would be here any second now, another year at Hogwarts over, another summer back at Wools.
His bitter thoughts lessened when you walked up to him, “Hey Tom.” You said softly.
“Hello.”
“I hope you enjoy your summer, I’ll admit I’m gonna miss you.” You nudged his shoulder.
He looked at you, “Oh please, L/n, Don’t get all sappy on me now. He brushed you off but paused when he heard a sniffle.
Watery eyes looked at him, You really did care for him, didn’t you?
Without another word he pulled you into an embrace, It was just for the summer, He wasn’t leaving you just yet.
But under all his biting remarks and thoughts, Tom really was going to miss you.
Thank you so much for reading! If you want to see more then my requests are open!

Warnings:  some mentions of injury and wounds (Umbridge's detentions), distant family
A/N:  I know they had the meeting in Hogsmeade before finding the Room of Requirement, but the conversation felt like it flowed naturally this way, so I left it.
Word Count:  5K+
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was the worst year of my life.
Dolores Umbridge had taken over the school, restricting everything under the sun and causing torment for anyone that even thought about stepping out of the line she had drawn.
I walked with Hermione back to the Common Room, grumbling about the lack of practice in DADA.
“I mean, honestly,” I complained, “how does she expect us to defeat Voldemort if we can’t get any practice?”
“I know.  The readings aren’t even very useful.”
“They’re useless!”  I gestured wildly.  “It’s not like Voldemort’s going to quiz us when he finally decides to rear his ugly head.”
Hermione was silent as I continued to rant, waving my free hand through the air and nearly accidentally slapping her a couple times.
I could feel my anger rising the more I spoke, just thinking about the situation getting me more and more upset.
“We need a workaround,” Hermione interrupted.
I turned to look at her, raising an eyebrow.  “Excuse me?”
“We need a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.  Someone with experience.”
I let out a scoff.  “And who would that be?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I don’t know if I can, Hermione.”
“Harry, we don’t have much of a choice,” the muggle-born pressed.  “You’re perfect for the job.”
“And what if we get caught,” Ron questioned.  “We’re likely to be in some serious trouble.”
I leaned forward in my seat.  “Then we’ll just have to make sure we don’t get caught, won’t we?”
The three turned to me.
“And how do you propose we do that,” Harry questioned.
“I’m not sure yet.  But we need to find a safe place.”  I held my chin in thought.  “Somewhere that’s off the radar…that we can work in privacy and security.”
The room fell silent as we all thought.
“An empty classroom might do it,” Ron suggested.
“It might,” I acknowledged.
“We’d have to place some protection charms, then,” Hermione noted.  “Just in case someone walks in.”
“Especially if it’s noisy.”
“We’re bound to draw attention to ourselves either way,” Harry spoke up.  “If anyone sees a bunch of students going to the same place-”
“That’s an easy fix,” I said.  “We’ll just have to split up into smaller groups of twos and threes and have everyone show up at different times.”  I looked over at Harry, holding his gaze in an attempt to provide him some assurance and strength.  “No one will be the wiser.”
A few beats passed and he nodded.
“It’s settled, then.”  Hermione looked between the three of us.  “We’ll start looking tomorrow.”
~~~~~~~~~~~
“It’d probably be best if we split up,” I whispered to Hermione, Harry and Ron.  “We can cover more ground that way.”  I shrugged one shoulder.  “And maybe it’ll look less suspicious.”
The three nodded.
“I’ll take this side,” Hermione gestured behind her.  “Harry, you take that way,” she pointed to her left, “Davies, you that way,” she pointed ahead of herself, behind me, “and Ron, you that way,” she gestured to the right.
“What are we doing?”
Everyone spun to face the new voice.
“Neville…” I greeted with a grin that looked more like an anxious grimace.  “What’s going on?”
He looked down at me.  “I was about to ask the same thing.”  His gaze shifted between everyone in the group.
We all exchanged glances.
“We’re building an army,” Harry admitted quietly.  “We’re looking for somewhere private and safe to practice magic.”
“You can help us look, if you want,” Ron piped up.
Neville was silent for a few moments before nodding.  “Which way do I go?”
“Er…” I trailed off.  “Wherever you want, I guess?”
“We already each have a way, so you can pick your own,” Harry said.
“Unless I group with Hermione, or two of you boys group,” I suggested, crossing my arms.  “Since boys and girls aren’t supposed to be within six inches of each other.”
Silence followed.
“I’ll go with Harry,” Ron finally said.  He glanced over at his friend.  “We’re always together, anyway.  It might look more suspicious if we’re apart.”
“Good point,” I admitted.
“Alright.”  Harry nodded, looking between everyone.  “Let’s go.”
~~~~~~~~~~
I made my way through the school, observing every door.  With each one I passed I mentally made notes on them.  So many of them were in crowded halls.  There was no way we were going to be able to use them secretly.
Letting out a huff, I tugged on my hair in annoyance as I turned another corner.
Dead end.
With a sigh, I headed back to the Common Room.
Maybe the others had better luck.
~~~~~~~~~
I strode back to the Common Room as quickly as I could, desperate to hear how the others did.  Approaching the Fat Lady, I instantly supplied the password, not even slowing my steps and walking inside.
The portrait closed behind me.
My name was called and I turned, seeing the golden trio and Neville waving me over.  I walked over, sitting on the floor between Harry and Hermione.  “How’d we do,” I asked.
“Neville found a secret room,” Harry supplied quietly, leaning over to avoid the rest of the students hearing.
I looked over at him, slightly taken aback by the proximity and the intensity of his blue eyes.  I blinked before clearing my throat.  “That’s great,” I said hoarsely.  I forced my gaze to Neville.  “Where is it?”
“It just appeared on the wall.  I’ll show you guys when I can.”
“We want in, too.”
We all snapped our heads to the voice, seeing Fred and George leaning over us.
The matching serious expressions looked very out of place on their faces.
Harry looked up at them.  “Fine.”
“We should find out who else is interested,” Hermione suggested.
“We have to be careful, though.”  I looked over at her.  “We don’t want anyone telling Professor Umbridge,” I warned.
“Who do we really trust?  We can’t exactly just send out an advertisement,” Hermione said.
The group fell silent.
“We’ll work on that,” Harry decided.
I nodded and looked over at Neville.  “Where’s this room?”
~~~~~~~~~
“You’ve done it, Neville,” Hermione said as you all observed the large, open room.  “You’ve found the Room of Requirement.”
“The what,” Ron asked.
“It’s also known as The Come and Go Room,” she expanded.  “The Room of Requirement only appears when a person has real need of it, and is always equipped for the seeker’s needs.”
“So…say you really needed a toilet…”
Everyone turned to look at the redhead.
“Charming, Ronald,” Hermione said.  “But yes…that is the general idea.”
“It’s brilliant,” Harry finally spoke up.  “It’s like Hogwarts wants us to fight back.”
I looked around before turning to Harry.  “Maybe it does.”
~~~~~~~~~~
Neville stared at the practice dummy, his wand raised.
Harry gave an encouraging nod.
Neville looked back to the dummy.  “Expelliarmus!”  His wand flew backwards out of his hand.
I, and everyone else in line, ducked out of the way.
“I’m hopeless,” Neville mourned.
“You-you’re just flourishing your wand too much,” Harry advised.  He held up his own wand.  “Try like this.”  Looking at the dummy, he flicked his wand.  “Expelliarmus!”
The dummy’s ‘wand’ flew onto the floor.
I grinned.
The line in front of me shortened as Ron, Hermione and Luna all tried, each with varying levels of success.
Harry looked over at me.  “Your turn.”
I nodded, stepping forward and raising my wand.  Taking a deep breath, I narrowed my eyes at the dummy.  “Expelliarmus!”
The fake wand shot out of its hand, landing a few feet away.
I grinned as I put my wand in my pocket.
“Nice work,” Harry said, nodding at me with a smile as he placed the wand back in the dummy’s hand for the next student.
I beamed at him, moving to the side to allow Fred to go.
“Great job,” Hermione whispered to me as Fred and George easily performed the spell.
“Thanks,” I whispered back.  “You, too.”
~~~~~~~~~
“Stunning is one of the most useful spells in your arsenal,” Harry stated, walking between the two sides we had formed.  “It-it’s sort of a wizard’s bread and butter, really.”
I made a confused face at the odd analogy.
Ron chuckled.
“...on then, Nigel,” Harry said.  “Give me your best shot.”
Everyone turned to look at the first- or was that second- year boy standing several paces opposite an unarmed Harry.
The ginger boy shuffled a little on his feet before aiming his wand at Harry.  “Stupefy!”
The spell hit Harry and he shot backwards, landing hard on his back.
Nigel also got flown backwards, though not as far.
I winced.
“Good,” Harry said, a little breathless as he pushed himself off the floor.  “Not bad…at all, Nigel.  Well done.”  He stood, clearing his throat and dusting off his hands.  “Next.”
Ron and Hermione stepped forward, sharing a quiet exchange, before Ron walked to the other side of the room, standing where Harry had.
They studied each other for a moment.
Ron opened his mouth, but he was too slow.
Hermione yelled out the spell, shooting Ron backwards.
I covered my mouth with my hand, eyes wide.
“Next.”
I stepped forward, turning to see who else had joined me.
One of the Weasley twins stood before me, too far away to tell which one it was.
I did my best to mask my apprehension.
“I’ll go easy on you, love,” he said, shrugging one shoulder.  “I am two years ahead of you, after all.”
“Don’t do me any favors, Weasley,” I shot back, trying to force my nerves down as I raised my wand.
The twin shrugged, moving back to the spot Ron had previously occupied.
“You got this, Freddie,” the other twin called.
I narrowed my eyes at the twin I now knew to be Fred, swallowing a lump in my throat.  I snapped my arm forward, yelling out “stupefy!”
Fred blocked it with another spell, sending a “stupefy” my way.
The spell came at me so quickly I had no time to deflect it.
I flew backwards, landing on the ground with a very audible thud.  I winced.
Fred leaned over me moments later.  “Sorry, Davies.”
I groaned.  “I thought you said you’d take it easy on me.”
He shrugged, giving me a cheeky grin.  “You said not to do you any favors.”
Letting out a huff, I nodded in recognition.
His grin grew as he reached down a hand to help me up.  Pulling me to my feet, he clapped a hand on my shoulder before walking back to his counterpart.
“Next,” Harry called.
I rubbed at my back as I moved out of the way for the next students.
“Are you alright,” Harry asked quietly.
I turned to look at him, meeting his concerned gaze.  “I’ll be fine.”  I smiled at him.  “Thanks.”
He held my eyes a moment longer before nodding, turning sharply away from me to look at the dueling students.
~~~~~~~~~
“Have you heard?”
I turned my head to Hermione briefly before looking back towards where I was going.  “Heard what?”
“Professor Umbridge is holding interrogations between classes,” she hissed.
I snapped my head towards her.
“She knows something’s going on.”
My steps slowed to a stop.  I stared at Hermione for a long moment.  “She can’t get to us, can she?  I mean…” I lowered my voice to a whisper, “won’t the Room know that it needs to keep her out and adjust for it?”
“I don’t know.  I suppose it depends on the magic of Hogwarts in comparison to her own.”
I huffed, falling into step beside Hermione as she started walking again.
After several beats of silence, Hermione quietly wondered “I wonder what she uses to try to get the students to talk…”
I frowned.  “I don’t want to know.”
~~~~~~~~~~
“Very good- keep your concentration,” Harry said as he made his way through the groups of students.  “Nice work.”
I focused on levitating one of the third years, my eyes narrowed as I tried to keep him up.
“Good job,” Harry’s soft voice came from right beside my ear.
My attention faltered, the third year dropping slightly before I regained focus and kept him hovering, though lower than previously.
“Widen your stance just a little,” Harry advised.
I felt a pair of hands land on my waist, a foot working its way between mine to shove them a little further apart.
A quiet, but audible gasp escaped me as my face flared.
The boy fell.
I blinked at him.  “I am so sorry.”
He stood, rubbing his elbow.  “It’s alright.”
I turned to glare at Harry, who stood only a few inches away from me.
Our eyes locked and my expression, without my consent, lost most of its malice.
He looked over at me.  “Sorry.”
I hummed, wanting to look angry at him, but finding myself unable to.
He held my gaze before clearing his throat.  “Try again.”
At my hesitant nod, he moved on.
I let out a harsh exhale, turning back to the third year.  “Are you ready to try again?”
He raised an eyebrow at me.  “Are you?”
~~~~~~~~~
“Working hard is important,” Harry began, adjusting people’s grips on their wands as they practiced against each other.  “But there’s something that matters even more: believing in yourself.”  He helped a student send a spell at another before moving on, after looking to see if they were alright.  “Think of it this way…every great wizard in history has started out as nothing more than what we are now…students.”  He continued to move through the room, maneuvering around people.  “If they can do it, why not us?”
I smiled.
Harry pulled out the practice dummy again, wheeling it between everyone.  “Form a circle.”
Everyone walked closer.
“Now, don’t let the dummy touch you,” he instructed.  “If it gets close, send a spell at it to knock it away.”
I pulled out my wand.  “Sounds like a game, Harry,” I said, grinning.
He grinned back.  “It is.  Kind of.”  He looked back to the rest of the students.  “Alright- someone send the first spell.”
Fred was quick to cast a “stupefy” at the dummy.
It shot across from him, towards one of the fourth years.
“Wingardium leviosa!”
The dummy spun around the room, getting spell upon spell cast at it.
“Stupefy!”
It spun to Neville.
“Expelliarmus!”
It rocketed towards Ginny.
“Reducto!”
The dummy exploded into ashes.
Everyone whipped their heads to face the youngest Weasley in amazement.
“Geez, Ginny,” I muttered, looking back to the pile.
~~~~~~~~~
Harry moved to step in front of everyone, Ron and Hermione on either side of him.  “So, that’s it for this lesson.  Now, we’re not going to be meeting again until after the holidays…”
Disappointed groans filled the room.
“So, just keep practicing on your own as best you can, and- and well done everyone.  Great, great work,” he said with a proud smile.
Everyone clapped.
Students began to file out of the room, thanking him as they went.
I hung in the back with Ron and Hermione, waiting for everyone to get their turn, as well as not having everyone rushing out of the same place at the same time.
We didn’t need to draw more attention to ourselves than we already had.
Once everyone had left, Harry approached the three of us.
“Good job, Harry,” I said, smiling at him.
“Yeah,” Ron agreed.  “Well done, mate.”
Hermione grinned.  “I told you that you’d do well, Harry.”
The Boy Who Lived stopped in front of us.  “Thanks.”  He looked between us.  “You’re all doing really well, too.”
“Well, it helps to have a teacher with experience,” I stated.  “The only other people here with experience like that are actual teachers, and they can’t help us.”
Ron and Hermione sent quiet goodbyes our way, saying they’d see us in the Common Room.
I waved.
“See you, guys,” Harry replied.  When the two left, Harry turned back to me.
Silence filled the air.
I wrapped my arms around myself, lowering my gaze to the floor as I scuffed my foot against the stone.  Clearing my throat, and without looking up, I asked “do you have any plans for the holidays?”
Harry shrugged.  “I don’t really have a family to go back to, and Sirius is…” he trailed off.
“Elsewhere,” I supplied.
Harry nodded before looking up at me.  “What about you?”
“I’m staying at Hogwarts for the holidays,” I confessed.
Harry addressed me silently for a few moments.  “Do you have a family?”
I looked over at him.  “Yes.  But they’re away.”  I turned my head to the side, looking at the wall.  “Some business trip, or something.”
“Well, we’ll be here together, at least.”
My gaze shifted to the boy and I let a small smile form on my face.  “Yeah.”
We stood in a few more beats of silence before Harry spoke up.
“We should get going.  I think enough time has passed.”
I nodded, gesturing to the door.  “After you, Potter.”
~~~~~~~~~
“I snagged these from the kitchen.”  Grinning, I set a plate of cookies down on the table in the Common Room.
Harry looked up at me from his spot on the couch, his expression a mix of amusement and shock.  “You stole them?”
I shrugged one shoulder, sitting down beside him as I picked up a cookie.  “We practically have Hogwarts to ourselves.”  I bit off part of the cookie and chewed it.  “Unless these were for the teachers.”
Harry reached forward, taking a cookie for himself.  “Well, if you’re eating them, I might as well.”
I sent a crooked grin his way.  “I really pulled your arm there, didn’t I, Potter?”
He chuckled, a little bashfully, as he ate his treat.
We fell into silence, the only sounds being our own breathing and the crackling of the fireplace.
The fire’s warm glow filled the room, the heat radiating off of it covering me like a cozy blanket.
The Christmas tree sparkled in the corner, snow falling in front of the window.
I let out a long content sigh, relaxing into the couch and letting my eyes flutter closed.
This was the epitome of comfort.
The couch shifted beside me and I opened my eyes, turning to look at Harry.
He glanced at me before looking back at the table sheepishly.  “Sorry.”
I chuckled.  “You’re good.”
The silence that followed was slightly tense.
“Is Christmas your favorite holiday,” I asked, leaning forward to better see Harry, resting my elbows on my knees.
He looked over at me.  “Probably.”  Glancing back at the cookie tray, he rubbed his hands together.  “It was never very nice with my Aunt and Uncle, but since coming to Hogwarts, I’ve enjoyed it more.  I get to spend the holiday with the people I care about.”  He looked over at me.  “If that makes sense.”
I nodded.  “Absolutely.”
“What about you?”
I clasped my hands together, looking at them.  “Well… my family isn’t very close.”  I pulled my hands apart, gesturing with my right.  “We would spend the holiday together, but it wasn’t like the Christmas’ I would hear about from the other families I knew.  Theirs would be filled with laughter and happy memories.”  I looked at the fireplace, resolutely not looking at the boy next to me.  “I got presents, and we would be together all day, but…” I trailed off, shrugging.  “I don’t know.  It just…felt fake.”  I finally looked over at Harry, meeting his concerned blue eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he said quietly.
I smiled somewhat sadly.  “Well, like you said, now I have Hogwarts.  I have you, Hermione and Ron.”  My smile grew.  “I have Ginny, the twins, Seamus…”  Reaching forward, I grabbed Harry’s left hand with my right.  “I enjoy Christmas a lot more than I used to, too,” I finalized, reaching forward to grab another cookie with my free hand.
Harry smiled, giving my hand a gentle squeeze before grabbing another cookie, himself.  “Merry Christmas, Davies,” he said quietly as we settled back into the couch.
“Merry Christmas, Potter.”
~~~~~~~~~
I made my way to Harry’s class, strolling through the castle halls.  I was still going to be early, and I had to make sure to not draw any suspicion to myself, so I wasn’t hurrying.  Nearing the entrance to the Room of Requirement, I turned a corner.
The sight had my steps faltering slightly.
I quickly recovered, crossing my arms and halting in my steps, plastering a confident smirk on my face.  “Well, if it isn’t Malfoy and his goons… formerly.”
Draco sneered, marching towards me with quick steps, Crabbe and Goyle on either side of him.
They walked behind him, as they always did.
I briefly wondered if they knew that Draco only kept them around to be his bodyguards and viewed them as no more than that.
“What did you say, Davies?”  Draco’s tone was harsh as he approached me, using his height to try to intimidate me.
I looked up at him.  “Well, I said ‘formerly’, because you’re no longer ‘Malfoy’s gang’.”  I took my time in raking my gaze across the three of them, eyes drifting across the badges they’d received from our new ‘headmaster’, letting my words sink in.  “I’d say ‘Umbridge’s puppets’ is much more fitting…” I looked up and held Draco’s cool gaze, lowering my voice slightly, making sure to add bite to it.  “Don’t you?”
Anger flashed through his gray-ish blue eyes.  “I could take you in, Davies,” he said sternly, gesturing at the badge hanging from his robe.  “I have the authority.”
I let out a short laugh.  “For what?”
He looked down at the space between us before looking back up at my eyes.  “You’re within six inches of me, Davies.”
“You invaded my space,” I reminded.
Malfoy grabbed my arm, leaning down slightly to crowd me as he gave a vicious smirk.  “Professor Umbridge doesn’t know that.”
My eyes widened as he dragged me away.
~~~~~~~~~
I hurried to the Common Room, cradling my hand to my chest.  Stopping in front of the portrait of the Fat Lady, I wiped my watery eyes and quickly uttered the password.
The portrait swung open, even as the Fat Lady looked at me with concern.
Stepping in, I went to make a beeline straight to my dorm but a call of my name had me halting in my quest.
I closed my eyes.  If I didn’t go over, they would know something was wrong.  Taking a brief second to steel myself, I turned around, approaching the three Gryffindors sitting on the couch.  “What’s up, guys?”  I forced my tone to sound more cheerful.
“What happened,” Hermione questioned.  “You weren’t in class…” she prompted quietly.
“I…” I pulled my sleeves down over my hands.  “I got held up.”
“We were worried about you,” Ron said.
I smiled at him.  “Thanks, Ron.”
“You missed a good lesson,” Hermione informed.  “We started learning about how to cast a Patronus.”
“Really?”  I shifted my gaze to Harry before looking back at Hermione.  “How’d it go?”
“It’s bloody hard,” Ron deadpanned.
Hermione gave him a slightly exasperated look before smiling up at me.  “It is difficult, but we’ll get it.”  She looked over the red head to look at the Boy Who Lived.  “Harry’s been trying to walk us through it.”
I shifted my gaze to Harry.  “How’s that been going?”
He smiled.  “It’s the hardest thing we’ve done yet, so it’s a little challenging.”
I nodded, looking to the wall as my hand trembled.  I slowly reached my other hand over, resting it on top of it.
“Are you alright?”
My head whipped back to look over at Harry, dropping my hand instantly.  “Yeah.  Why?”
Harry looked at me for a few moments before holding his hand out, palm up.  “Can I see your hand?”
Hermione and Ron fell silent, turning to look at us.
I stared at Harry, remaining as stoic as I could.  I gave him my right hand.
He didn’t break eye contact with me.  “The other one.”
“Harry-” I tried to protest, but he reached forward, taking my left hand carefully and rolling up my sleeve.  I winced at the sudden air to the open wound, as well as the knowledge that everyone was staring at it.
Everyone gasped.
‘I must not harass boys’ was carved across my hand.
Harry looked up to meet my eyes, his blue eyes filled with fury.  “What-”
“It was Malfoy,” I interrupted, looking down at the words in my irritated skin.  I cleared my throat, trying to get rid of the lump that formed there.  “He claimed I had crossed the ‘six inch’ rule to get at him.”  I clenched my right hand.  “In reality, he was the one that invaded my space.”  Letting out a huff, I moved my gaze from my hand to the floor.  “But of course, it was the testimonies of three against one.”
“Crabbe and Goyle,” Ron supplied, frowning.
I nodded.
Hermione reached out, holding my other hand.
I looked up at the ceiling, trying to force the tears away.
A silence fell over the group, which Ron thankfully broke.
“Malfoy’s the worst.”
~~~~~~~~~
“That’s it.”  Harry walked through the students.  “Think of a powerful memory.  The happiest you can remember.  Allow it to fill you up.  Keep trying, Seamus.”  He walked over to the twins.  “George, your turn.”
George flicked his wand.  “Expecto Patronum!”
Pale wisps, a whitish blue, spiraled out of his wand.
Harry continued walking.  “A full-bodied Patronus is the most difficult to produce, but shield forms can also be equally useful against a variety of opponents.”
Ginny’s wisps turned into a horse head that whinnied.
Harry beamed.  “Fantastic, Ginny!”  He kept walking.  “Remember, your Patronus can only protect you for as long as you stay focused, so Luna-!”
The girl kept staring at the floor.
Hermione’s Patronus, an otter, floated around her head.
“Think of the happiest memory you can.”
“Expecto Patronum.”  Neville’s wand let out a few spirals, but nothing more.  He turned to Harry.  “I’m trying.”
“I know,” Harry assured.  “It’s good.”  He moved on, even as Ron’s dog Patronus ran between Neville’s legs, knocking the boy over.  “This is really advanced stuff, guys, you’re doing so well!”
A bunny formed in front of Luna, hopping around the room.
My wand sparked again.
I glared at it.
“Stupid wand,” I grumbled under my breath.  The urge to throw the thing that had chosen me five years ago was getting increasingly difficult to ignore.  I huffed, closing my eyes, trying to focus.
“How’s it going?”
I snapped my eyes open, looking over at Harry.  I was certain he could guess based on the expression I was sure was on my face, but I humored him.  “Dreadful.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Watch.”  I closed my eyes again, focusing hard on my memory.  I opened my eyes again, holding my wand out.  “Expecto Patronum!”
My wand let out a few white sparks.
I looked over at Harry.  “Maybe my wand’s busted.”
“I think that’s unlikely.  What memory are you thinking of?”
I hesitated, gaze shifting between his eyes.  “Getting my Hogwarts letter.”
“That’s your strongest happy memory?”
My gaze lowered to my wand.  “It was all I could come up with.”
Harry pursed his lips, regarding me thoughtfully.
I shifted a little uncomfortably under his stare.
“We could try private sessions?  I’ll work with you one on one.”
I sighed, nodding.
Harry clapped a hand on my shoulder before continuing on his way.
~~~~~~~~
Harry and I walked to the Room of Requirement, hidden under his invisibility cloak.
My heart raced as we strode through the empty halls, terrified of encountering a teacher and a little unnerved at being in such close proximity to anyone, let alone Harry Potter.
The Room of Requirement opened and we walked in, the door closing behind us.
Harry pulled the cloak off us and I let out a breath of relief.
“Merlin, that was scary,” I mumbled.
“Sneaking around after hours still unnerves me a little, too,” Harry remarked, dropping the cloak to the side.  “It gets easier the more you do it, though.”
I raised an eyebrow at him.  “Got it: break the rules more often.”
He deadpanned at me before his expression shifted into a grin.  “Very funny.”
I grinned back.  “I thought so.”
Harry shook his head, moving to stand beside me.  “Alright.  I hope you have your wand on you, or we’ll have to sneak all the way back.”
I grimaced, reaching into my pocket and pulling out my wand, a quiet sigh of relief escaping me.
Harry nodded.  “Good.”  He gestured at me.  “Alright, think of your happiest memory.”
I held my wand out in front of me, once more thinking of receiving my letter.  “Expecto Patronum!”
Nothing.
Not even sparks.
I huffed.
“That’s okay.  Try again,” Harry encouraged.
And so I did.
For half an hour.
“Do you have any happier memories?”
I looked over at Harry.
“Remember, it has to be strong,” he advised.
I huffed, closing my eyes.  Getting my letter wasn’t enough.  Maybe arriving at Hogwarts?  Seeing the school for the first time was definitely one of my favorite memories.
Opening my eyes, I brought my wand forward, a new determination filling me.  “Expecto Patronum!”
A few wisps left my wand before dying out.
I pinched the bridge of my nose in frustration.
Harry patted my back.  “That was an improvement.”
I whipped my head around to glare at him.
He pulled his hand off me, raising his hands in surrender and taking a step back.  “Sorry.”
“I don’t know if I can do this, Harry.”
He pursed his lips.  “Let’s go to bed.  We’ll try again tomorrow.”
~~~~~~~~~
“Expecto Patronum!”
My wand produced a few wisps, lasting longer than before, but still dying out rather quickly.
Harry chuckled.
“Harry Potter!”  I glared at him.  “We have been doing this for almost a week- don’t you dare!”
He held up his hands.  “Sorry.  It’s just… you are possibly the worst I’ve ever trained.”
I deadpanned at him.  “Thanks for the encouragement.”
“I think you need some happier memories,” he admitted, his smile fading.
I frowned, looking down at the ground.  “Well, I won’t argue with that.”
He walked over to me.  “What do you care about?  What’s important to you?”
I lifted my gaze to meet his, staring at him in silence for several moments.  “My friends.  You, Hermione, Ron…”
Harry nodded.  “So think of a memory with us.  Was there a memory with us that filled you with such a happiness you’d never experienced before?”
I paused, looking away as I tried to think.
Meeting the golden trio was fun.  I enjoyed listening to them as they told me about their adventures.  Spending time in the library studying.  Visits with Hagrid.
Then it came to me.
I remembered the Christmas holiday.  I thought back to the warm fire, the tasty cookies I had snuck out of the kitchen, the comfortable silence, the winter coziness that I had shared with Harry.
I had never felt more content in my life.
I looked back up at Harry.  Lifting myself to stand tall, I turned back to the open space before me and raised my wand.  “Expecto Patronum!”
Pale wisps emerged from my wand, spiraling out.
A chestnut mare formed at the end of them, tossing its head and neighing.
Harry beamed.  “You did it, Davies!”
I turned to face him, grinning.  Reaching towards him, I pulled him into a tight hug.  “Ugh, after weeks-!”
“You did it,” he congratulated, hugging me back.
I sighed in relief, resting my chin on his shoulder.
He mirrored the action for a few moments before we separated.  “What was your memory?”
I blinked at him, face flushing.  I wrapped him in another hug, just so I didn’t have to look at him.
He stiffened, taken aback, but returned the hug again.
“Do you remember the Christmas holidays…” I trailed off, keeping my arms around him.
I felt him nod against me.  “Yeah.”
I paused.  “Do you remember the night I stole the cookies from the kitchen?  The snow was falling, and the Common Room was decorated…” I tightened my hold of him.  “We were sitting on the couch… the whole place to ourselves…”
At Harry’s prolonged silence, I loosened my grip, pulling away slightly, but not enough to look at him.
“Harry?”
“I- I remember.”
I waited a few beats before stepping back so I could look at him.
He met my eyes, but I couldn’t read his expression.
I held his gaze, ignoring the way my voice wavered and my cheeks reddened.  “It meant a lot to me, Harry.”
He swallowed.  “It meant a lot to me, too.”
Staring at him, I tried to figure out what exactly he was trying to imply by that.  I took a step towards him.  “Did it,” I asked quietly.
He nodded, his gaze flickering to my lips briefly.
It was all the confirmation I needed.
Leaning forward, I pressed my lips to his, closing my eyes.
He returned it instantly.
Our lips moved together clumsily, but it filled my heart with warmth.
I reached up, resting my left hand on his shoulder and threading my other fingers through the hair on the back of his head.
He placed one hand on my waist, the other cradling my jaw.
I pulled away first, keeping my hold on him as I opened my eyes.
He smiled at me as we both tried to even out our breathing.
I beamed at him, chuckling, and leaned forward to press a quick kiss to his forehead.
Harry met my gaze when I pulled away.  “I don’t know if we should have done that.”
My smile dropped instantly, arms falling to my sides.
A mischievous crooked grin formed on his face.  “I am your teacher, after all.”
I scoffed loudly, slapping him in the arm.

A/n: This was really fun to write, too. I've been on a Harry Potter kick, so expect more stories soon.
Oh! And if anyone is curious as to why I chose the patronus I did, I found this life-saver right here.

Slytherin Aemond x Reader ~Hogwarts AU
Part 2
Tumblr media
The library was of course quiet as ever but even more so with a bunch the students attending the infamous Slytherin party. You sat in your favourite corner that was isolated from the rest of the library, creating even more of a division as you surrounded yourself with stacks and stacks of books. As you proceeded to harshly stack yet another book, you heard a soft but sharp 'shh' echo across the room and you immediately peeked up from behind your little book-barrier.
It was his silver hair that you noticed first. He was lost in the pages of his book, not even bothering to look up at the person he'd just shushed.
What is he doing here, you thought.
"Oi psst" you whisper-yelled but that didn’t seem to work. You then pulled out your wand from your bag and aimed it toward him "wingardium leviosa"
You watched with pure amusement, his face contouring into pure confusion as the book floated out of his grasp and into the air, hovering right above his head.
"What the fuck- oh" His scorn vanished when he caught sight of the prankster: you. In truth, he hadn’t expected you to be here. You were top of your class, yes but you were just as much of a fan of parties as most of the other students in your year. Aemond too didn’t mind the parties; he mostly showed up just to have some drinks and unwind. He did not like dancing and you didn’t either unless it was one of your favourite songs playing, which only happened at the Ravenclaw parties.
He stood up, reaching up to immediately grab ahold of the book, which was rather easy for him with the advantage in height. He then walked over to you, pulling out a chair to sit with you behind this wall of books you had created.
"Quite the defence line you’ve built" he chuckled at the wall you'd made, his voice barely a whisper "who are we hiding from, sergeant?"
"Some silver-haired lad who I was hoping to avoid this evening" you said without a pause and Aemond almost didn’t manage to decipher your tone to be playful. He immediately muttered an abashed 'sorry', getting up so that he wouldn’t disturb you when you wanted to be left alone. You immediately burst into a fit of giggles, slapping your hand over your mouth to stifle them as you reached out with your other to hold his arm "I'm only joking, Aems"
He heaved a sigh, throwing you a playful look of annoyance before he sank down in the chair once again, grinning at your reaction or perhaps the nickname you'd used, you weren’t sure.
"Stressed about the quiz I see" he commented as he reached into his bag to retrieve a notebook, sliding it toward you after he placed it on the desk "here, copy down my notes. I went through most of these books a few days before and already jotted down the important parts"
"Aren’t you well prepared" you smiled as you took his book. Aemond had a very neat handwriting and that made you slightly jealous since yours in comparison wasn’t that neat when you wrote with the quill. Too lazy to actually write all of it, you performed a simple charm on your quill to note all of it down for you as Aemond shared with you the book he was reading, occasionally mentioning when the passage you were reading was important for the quiz.
After about an hour, you both had read three books and you had his notes copied down as well. By the looks of it, Aemond seemed well prepared for the quiz and while you too were familiar with the material, you knew you would only feel at ease after you would go through the new notes you'd received.
"Since we’re all done" he stated, raising his voice just a touch but not too loud since the both of you were after all in the library. He raised his arms above his head as he leaned back into his chair to stretch "do you want to head back to the common room? Have a few drinks at the party?"
"As much as I do love our parties" you began to protest "I must go and study for-"
"I know you'll be lost in your books at breakfast" he interrupted you, letting out a content hum after he'd stretched his limbs "you're already prepared for the quiz, I suppose you've earned a well deserved break"
"Are you asking me to go to the party with you?" you slyly asked.
"I'm telling you that you've studied enough for the evening and you deserve a break" he shrugged "the party just happens to be in our common room that you will have to anyway pass through if you want to get to your dorm room"
"That is not what I asked you" you pushed yet again. Aemond was a touch too proud to ever ask somebody to such events and you couldn’t blame him for you were just as proud. You remembered the yule ball that was held when you were in your second year; how neither of you had asked the other properly, simply because it hurt your egos. Aemond and you made a sort of agreement, that you both were only going together just so that the other girls after him would stop pestering him and so that the boys would quit asking you to be their date as well.
"You are a lot to handle, you know" he sighed as he stood up, putting away his things back into his bag "If you aren’t going to attend, I'll be on my way"
You raised your brows in disbelief. No further persuasion from him? Not unexpected but still, rather disappointing.
"Wait," you followed his lead, quickly packing away your things "I need to use the room of requirement to get changed. There is absolutely no way I am walking in dressed like this"
Tumblr media
You stepped out of the room of requirement, quite happy with the outfit you'd chosen. It was a lovely rust-coloured dress that clung to your frame perfectly and stopped mid-thighs and you'd slipped into some rose gold heels that were comfortable enough for you to walk in.
As the doors of the room of requirement vanished into the wall, you scanned Aemond's outfit which was the same black jeans and boots, the only difference being the space-grey button up dress shirt he'd changed into.
"Changed into this while you were getting dressed" he simply stated as he took you bag from you to hold.
You hummed in response, imagining him changing his shirt right here in the hallways where anyone could've seen him shirtless.
"Just, one thing.." you stopped in your tracks, Aemond doing the same as he watched you undo the buttons at the cuff of his sleeves. He raised a brow at you, as if to as 'what are you doing?'
"Roll your sleeves up to your elbow" you told him "girls find that hot"
"Please," he rolled his eye at your comment as he resumed his walk "as if I care about what other girls find hot. If there is something I believe will look good, then maybe I'll give it a try but for my own satisfaction and not to give into someone else's fancies"
"I think you will look good," you proceeded to assure him, letting him know that it wasn’t something you were suggesting solely because some girls found it appealing.
"Oh you think so?" he gave you a cheeky grin that made you roll your eyes "tell me Y/N, do you find that sort of thing attractive?"
"Yes," you mimicked his playful grin and Aemond shook his head with amusement "Why, will you do something if I happen to find said thing attractive?"
"I do not make my decisions to please anyone" he stated. Though out of the corner of your eye, you saw him starting to roll up his sleeves.
After you both had reached the common room, Aemond gave the door the password which then swung inward to let the both of you pass. Aemond held his arm out, a gesture that meant he wanted you to go before him.
The music was loud and the lights were dimmed. Students were laughing, some singing and dancing as some of the older students drank some of the alcohol they'd sneaked in.
Aemond, per usual, had one of his mates pour him some fire whiskey. Once inside, he had retreated to his little corner, leaving you to wander about and find your friends. Alys was beyond happy to see you and immediately shoved a bottle of who-knows-what into your hand. She muttered something that was muffled by the loud music before she turned around to dance with her boyfriend, pulling him in for a kiss.
Classic, you thought.
You brought the bottle up to your nose, taking a whiff of the pungent-smelling alcohol before you proceeded to take a sip. It left your throat with a burning sensation but the after taste wasn’t too bad. In fact, it left you craving for more. You took another sip, and another until you found yourself pouting at the now empty bottle in your hands.
"Y/N" Alys walked toward you again, taking the bottle from you "did you chug all of this? I told you to mix some of this with some cranberry juice-"
"I am hic~ I am going to da- hic~ dance" you slurred as you pointed at the crowd of other drunk kids who were dancing to the base boosted music "I have to dance Alys hic~"
And with that, you left her side to dance, just like you'd mentioned. You raised your arms above your head, hips swaying to the music as you smiled with contentment, eyes closed.
Aemond watched you from a distance, his facial expression softening. This was the first time he'd seen you dance since he never really attended any other parties outside the slytherin common room which just happened to be the only few parties at which you danced. He watched you move perfectly to the rhythm, your soft hair swishing elegantly each time your head moved. It didn’t hit him at first that you were drunk; it was only until he saw you grinding against Dalton Greyjoy, someone who you'd many times mentioned that you hate, did he figure out that you must be drunk. He looked around at first, hoping your friends Alys or Cregan might rush in and save you from embarrassment but they were nowhere to be spotted.
Heaving a sigh, he chugged down the rest of his whiskey before walking toward you to drag you away before you could do something you would regret in the morning.
"Aems~" you slurred when you felt his presence next to you, his strong arms pulling you toward him and away from Dalton "you want to dance too?"
"How much did you drink?" he asked as he ushered you away from the sea of sweaty people who were dancing in the middle of the room "do you need water?"
"No, I need you to dance with me" you giggled an Aemond rolled his eye "don’t pretend like you don’t want to, like you don’t want me"
Aemond's eye widened with shock and for a moment he wondered if he's even heard you right amidst all this loud music but then again, you were rather drunk.
"Here," he bent down to hook one arm behind your knees as his other snaked around your waist, lifting you up as since you could barely walk in a straight line. He aggressively nudged people with his shoulders when they did not make any room for him to pass through. He only set you down once he had walked all the way up to the top of the stairs, where the dorm rooms were. He asked one of the younger boys passing by to bring him a glass of water as the both of you sat down at the top of the stairs. He tucked a piece of hair behind your ear, and you immediately rested your head on his shoulder.
"Are you feeling dizzy? Do you need to puke?" he asked and you shook your head, too tired from all that dancing to form any sentences "good because I do not want you throwing up all over me"
You almost turned to throw a sarcastic comment right back at him but those boys he'd sent earlier had returned with a tall glass of water.
"Thankyou" he gruffly said "now scram"
You took the glass from him, taking a huge swig of the cold water. Your vision was starting to get a bit hazy and you knew sleep would find you soon.
"I know I am drunk right now, so so drunk" you chuckled as you handed him the now empty glass "because I know I would never tell you out loud that you’re very attractive if I was sober"
"Well I am flattered" he hummed, putting away the glass "let me get you back to your room, then I'll go find Alys and send her in there"
"You’re annoying" you grunted as Aemond helped to stand, just so he could carry you once again. He listened patiently with amusement as you continued your drunken rambling "I give you a complement and you can’t even find something nice to say to me"
"That's because I'm sober" he winked, quoting your earlier statement of being able to compliment only because you’re drunk. He set you down once he'd reached your dorm room. He knew he wouldn’t be able to carry you all the way to your bed, the enchantment on the doors wouldn’t let male students into the girls' dormitories "good night Y/N, I'll see you in-"
"What would you say if you were?"
"Hm?"
"What would you say to me if you were drunk as well?" you asked again, your head starting to feel really heavy. You knew you would pass out any moment; you quickly opened the door and headed inside.
"You’re really beautiful" Aemond whispered right before the door shut in his face "inside and out. That’s what I'd say"

Yandere! Tom Riddle and a Dark Lady S/o.
A/n: for now I will be posting some Yandere and normal content so if you have any yanderes you want to request just let me know.
Tumblr media
Now this happens to be like a summarised plot of my drafted book.
You grew up with Tom in the orphanage and basically went to Hogwarts together, now some little Pre-Hogwarts is that you and Tom are very close, while Tom is the quite one you, well you aren't the rambunctious loud mouth friend but you are the more out going one and caused a bit of trouble with a few tendencies you had early on.
"Tom! Guess what I did!" You said walking up to Tom who was on his way to the lunch hall in the orphanage, he turns to you then turns to the direction you were pointing at, there was a boy who was crying and had blood running down his nose.
"Again? That's the 3rd boy you punched this week and it's only Tuesday, [Name]." He sighed as he took your hand and brushed his thumb over your bruising knuckled, "Well, he started it. Flipping up my dress and all." You said as you intertwined your hands with Toms as you both entered the dining hall.
"Well then, he deserved it." he said as he placed down his book on the table and sat down on his usual seat.
So here you don't have a last name so Tom proposed then when the two of you are older you'll both be known as Mr. and Mrs. Riddle.
So now you're in Hogwarts and when the both of you were sorted into Slytherin the both of you were happy because the two of you could be together, both of you being more of an inseparable duo as the two of you grew older.
Now I wouldn't say you don't have the ideals of Tom its just you're mote laid back because the muggleborns are already there at Hogwarts and there's nothing you could do about it, Tom keeps you close and will let you in with what he's planning.
Now you're known as Toms unofficial girlfriend at Hogwarts, students know how close the two of you are and the girls who admire Tom deeply envy to the point they are tempted to just hex you if they ever saw alone in the hallways, although they hold back because they know how capable and dangerous you are, no matter the gender.
They had witnessed you beat up a boy bigger than you with your bare hands because he decided to try and hex you during broad daylight, now you wouldn't say your aggressive... You just happen to take it far sometimes.
Now, you are an alibi of Tom's and vouch for him when Professor Dumbledore expresses his suspicion towards Tom, giving away valid information that Tom is indeed not suspivious.
"Sir, If I may. Tom was with me the time the student was hurt. We were only studying in advanced in case Professor Binns decided to give us a pop quiz." You lied smoothly as you maintained eye contact with the Professor.
"If you want I can keep an eye on Tom in case there was something else to happen." You said as you smiled at the Professor, your eyes hiding no ill intention or malice so the Professor nodded and left the two of you alone.
You turned to him, "If you were going to hurt a students you might as well clean up the evidences." You said in a quiet voice, taking out your light pink handkerchief and wipe the blood from Toms knuckles, good thing that Tom had hidden his hands behind his back.
"That git needed a lesson after trying to hex you." He said as he turned around to walk away, pocketing the handkerchief you follow after him.
The slug club members, or would I say his followers know of you and worship you alongside Tom.
Claiming you as their Dark Lady while Tom is their Dark Lord.
Now, you know how devoted Bellatrix is towards Tom and so she does not like you, thinking she could be a better and more suited Dark Lady for Tom, but she is flabbergasted by how you, someone who doesn't like like the kind at all, to kill someone by your own hand or with a killing curse.
Now this is something I came up but you once told Tom that you'll dye your wedding dress red with the blood of your enemies and he thinks he could've fallen in love all over again.
Whoever question your authority as his Dark Lady or dares to even utter words of degradation towards you will have their body dropping dead in seconds or has themselves being tortured painfully and slowly in a dark cell, their only escape will be them begging for a slow and painful death.
Now when Tom finds out about the Prophecy you suggest just to barge into their home and take the child away instead of killing them because you overthink that if he does bad things will happen to him so you suggest this to him and tell him to think it through.
You come with him when he comes for the Potters and happily take a crying baby Harry into your arms as you coo at him, pulling out your wand and obliviate him, making it so that Harry doesn't ever remember about this whole thing and make it that you and Tom took him in because the two of you found him at your doorstep one day.
Now I forgot to mention this is that Tom makes you immortal and makes a horcrux to keep you alive.
You two raise Harry together and then have him becoming your son and then just him willing to do anything for you because you're his Mother and he'll do anything just so his Mum isn't sad.
Although Voldemort doesn't like the fact Harry, the boy who will defeat him in the prophecy he admired the boys ambission to keep you happy.
It's just a dark happy family the two of you.
--
I will explore this more if you guys ask for it but for now that's what I came up with on the spot.
Anyways, follow me for more content like this.
Btw Tom is not no nose Voldemort here QwQ

What is your Hogwarts house?
I don't think that's considered a question in good taste anymore lmao.
And, actually, I never liked it much even as a kid, because sorting discourse did not adhere to the framework shown in the text. It consistently drifted to rigorous application of the ruleset laid out by the hat in its little song, which was blatantly called out as a convenient simplification about one page after the formula was originally presented.
Like. The fact that each cohort is broken down into four roughly equal pods and lineage is clearly a major determining factor, as is personal preference, is made clear very early. This is a cultural institution, that shapes the characters who grow within it quite as much as it's assigned based on their innate traits, and within the framework of which people actively look for identity elements to define themselves by.
People in my high school would be sorting adult fictional characters and doing elaborate balancing of their True Natures as revealed by their various plot events and defining life choices and patterns of behavior in their own generally dramatic canons and I'd be like. Okay, what do you think they were like when they were eleven though.
What were their values at eleven? What parts of their potential to be Like That were developed enough to show up on a psychic scan by a sapient hat, at eleven? What backstories are we assuming they're coming into this from; this man is a duke from fantasy medieval europe are we going to analogize him to a posh normie family, or the magic snobs, or are we dimensional-teleporting his baby self into wizard school?
Look, assigning Hogwarts houses to grown-ass adults on the basis of their adult developed identities doesn't make sense, that is very clearly not how anything works, this is a child-sorting algorithm. You have to apply it to children or it's invalid.
...also I was a Ravenclaw. I knew this. Everyone who had ever met me knew this. Any and every online quiz I was convinced to take knew this. I was so boring. I could not even make a serious case for my being one of the people who'd argue my way into another category I was minorly qualified for, or get there on family values or something, because I didn't want to not be a dumb nerd and my family is also dumb nerds. I was such an easy sort it was no fun at all, I was a walking stereotype.
It was embarrassing, is what it was. I was a flat character with no depth, rip child me. It was like if you could fail astrology by adhering precisely to your horoscope.
(My younger sisters wanted to be Gryffindor but consistently tested Hufflepuff and vice versa respectively, and I do not at this time remember which was which. The tests that gave you percentile rankings did give them minors in the ones they wanted tho.)
Anyway looking back on this in reaction to your ask, I find myself reflecting that House affiliation actually worked very much like gender, in that the way it was assigned was treated in-story as being based on absolute inherent qualities that defined a whole person, but quite clearly per the text actually worked by finding a schema you had an acceptable percent overlap with at a young age, and then setting you up to be perceived and instructed through that filter for the rest of your life.
The affiliation had meaning! But it was mostly meaning derived from the affiliation, and its social weight.
The ability of characters to find the sometimes deeply hidden Potential to live up to the person they aspired to be, thereby retroactively justifying the Sorting they had cajoled their way into, is like a major story element, you know?
I feel like this is yet another one of those places where rowling is a fairly gifted drawer of engaging caricatures; where when she was drawing on her actual lived experience (as opposed to hearsay and stereotype) to create something imitating that thing (in this case Belonging To Category) by intuition, the result would have nicely proportioned parts and some solid symbolic details, and work on an internal level more-or-less consistently, if not necessarily according to any strict logic.
Rather than being realistic it had a feeling of reality, which is in itself a perfectly reasonable way to approach light fiction. I often find myself wishing I could work in this more gestural manner sometimes, instead of drilling relentlessly down to detail.
The trouble is that things like those verisimilitudinous gaps between what people do and how they interpret their own doing, which lend the setting a great deal of dynamism, are only sometimes intentional, and the longer she extends any one bit and the more seriously she attempts to take it, the more likely she is to fall into the gaps and loudly deny that she has done any such thing, while digging herself into a pit of stupid.

@jilychallenge (@jilychallenge2023) | Partner(s): @call-me-the-cassie & @itsjamespotter February: Butterfly moments | Prompt: ‘but I can’t just be friends, you’re messing with my head/ I got your heart on my mind’ from 2/14 by The Band Camino Words: 1,796
Read it on AO3
Feelings Keep Running The Red
James had royally fucked up. That much was abundantly clear to him now. If he’d had a modicum of common sense he would have kept his distance. He should have known he had a better chance riding a hippogriff than he did in solely maintaining platonic feelings towards Lily Evans. Now he was stuck in the hell loop of getting butterflies in his stomach any time she walked into a room, or smiled at him, or looked at him with those beautiful green eyes. All because he’d been the one to cross that previously unspoken line.
Lily
She’d been Evans for the better part of their seven years and counting at Hogwarts. They were Evans and Potter. That was the line. Then he just had to go and mess the whole thing up and call her by her first name. Something which previously he’d only dared to have done in his dreams. Which had resulted in her now referring to him by his. A problem James hadn’t even considered to be a problem until it became one. Since then he’d been plagued by that stomach flip-flopping, heart racing feeling that he just couldn’t shake. Suddenly things had become much more serious than a simple crush.
It was entirely his own fault, a demise of his own making. They’d become friendly in their sixth year. Friendly, but not friends per say. Potions partners. Hanging out in a mixed group setting. Friendly but not particularly close. That had suited them just fine. Then came the letters. She’d be the head girl to his head boy. They’d need to work together and co-operate for the sake of the whole school, not just their potions grade. Plus this was N.E.W.Ts, they’d both have enough stress on their plates without adding provocation to that list.
So he’d opened his fat mouth. He hadn’t even given the statement much thought before he’d uttered it in all honesty.
“I think we should be friends, Lily.”
The second they’d left his lips he felt the first faint flutter.
“I think you’re right. James.”
There was no going back after that. A flutter became a flurrying crescendo that hadn’t stopped since. It was enough to make him feel physically sick with anxiety. It wasn’t her fault. How was she supposed to know he was a giant idiot - well, she knew he was a giant idiot but not that kind of idiot. She’d relaxed more around him since they’d become friends. In the evening she’d quiz him in front of the fire about things they’d learnt in lessons that day. All while twiddling a piece of that stunning red hair around her fingertips. Occasionally she’d prod him playfully when he stared off into space too long, when in reality he’d been staring at her.
There’d been group Hogsmeade trips where she’d bought him his favourite, a butterbeer accompanied by piping hot fish and chips. Patrols of the castle corridors after hours alone on rounds. Where he could have sworn she’d brush her hand against the back of his on purpose. On occasion they’d partaken in duels together. She slung hexes and jinxes quicker than he’d ever seen, except perhaps from Professor Flitwick.
He’d shown her secret passageways and shortcuts known only to him and his friends. How to sneak into the kitchens because she’d not once ever served a detention in there. Evans getting detention would surely be a sight to see. In turn she’d shown him where she hid the best potions ingredients in Slughorn’s store cupboard, and shared her secret to the perfect bathwater combination in the prefect's bathroom. All perfectly platonic things. Friends shared secrets. They didn’t keep them from one another. But that was precisely what James was doing, and he just couldn’t take it any longer.
Doodles on parchment was what had done him in. He’d always doodled in his margins, because he could never just sit still. His hands always had to be busy. It was subconscious at this point. A hastily drawn stag on the corner of his potions textbook, not even that good. But by the time he’d wandered to the store cupboard and back for extra leeches she’d seen it, and made her own additions.
The stag had now been shaded, and a little meadow had been placed beneath its feet. Scratchings of grass and patches of daisies. There was even a tiny snitch which at first he’d mistaken for a bumblebee. James had lit up in a grin at first, his drawing elevated by her hand. Then he’d panned his eyes down and he saw what was beneath it.
JP + LE
Shit. The butterflies had boiled over to the point he practically felt like he was swallowing them. Yet Lily hadn’t seemed to have noticed, cheerfully stirring away at their cauldron humming along happily to herself. Oblivious to just how James had royally screwed up.
He’d waited until they’d been left alone in the common room. Her heart and feelings on the discussion he needed to have had weighed heavily on his mind. But he knew it was one he had to have all the same, and the sooner he got it over with the better.
“Lily… I know what I said but I can’t just be friends.” James had let the sentence out in a rush of air. Desperate to release it out into the universe and just leave it there.
Lily had stilled when he’d spoken, not looking up from her transfiguration essay they’d been working on together. Though her quill hovered over her point in the page.
“Why not?” Her voice was flat.
Those green eyes were what betrayed her. Tears were already filling them despite her rapid blinks to clear them. It broke his heart. This isn’t what he had wanted and had whole heartedly been trying to avoid. Hurting Lily was the absolute last thing he had wanted to do. She’d lost enough friends as it was over the last few years and here he was adding to that list. It felt selfish, but he really was doing it for her best interest. Lily deserved a true friend. Not someone masking a crush, romantic attraction, affection under the guise of a close friendship. She deserved better than that.
“You’re messing with my head.” He replied. “No. No, that came out wrong. I’m messing with my own head.”
James swallowed. “I crossed the line.”
“I don’t understand. I thought you liked me?” Lily’s voice wobbled.
“I do! That’s the problem.” James closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose beneath his glasses.
“What are you talking about?!”
“The doodles in my potions book.” he supplied, as if that would make everything slot into place for her.
“Because I added to it? I didn’t think you minded. I add to them all the time.” she defended. “If that’s what all this is about, me not respecting your space or whatever, you could have just asked me to stop. I thought it was our thing.”
Our thing.
“No. No. Lily that’s not it at all. I love that you add to my doodles. That’s the problem. It’s got me adding our initials to the page and that was something I thought I’d stopped doing but clearly I’ve started doing it again subconsciously because I can’t get you out of my mind and I just-” Words were failing him, hsi tongue tying itself in knots he tripped over.
“Hang on a minute…” Lily interrupted him. Getting to her feet so quickly she nearly upended the ink well on the floor between them. She strode across the room to where he had earlier discarded his satchel and torn it open, pulled out his potions textbook and began flipping the pages. She found the page she had been searching for and presented it to him. The sketch of the stag.
“Is this what you’re on about?” She pointed to the offending marking on the page. He may as well have carved it into his own heart. JP + LE
“Yeah.” James breathed.
“That was me,” she replied. “I drew in our initials. I’ve done it under all our drawings.”
Lily flicked a few more pages and presented it to him again, arm outstretched. A mini quidditch pitch he remembered drawing while Slughorn had been talking about identifying rotten roots. There were players he didn’t remember scribbling in, and another JP + LE. Lily turned another page, and another. Each time presenting him a new scene she had added to, right under his very nose. Each with their own little JP + LE.
James swallowed hard. He truly was the world's biggest idiot. “You drew the initials in.”
“Yes. We did them together so I thought I’d mark them as such. In case you ever looked back at them. You’ve never seemed to mind. Until now.” Her voice was thick with emotion.
“I didn’t notice ‘til today,” he answered honestly. “I used to doodle your initials on things all the time back in fifth year. My defence exam paper even. I assumed I must have done it”
“Your… as in your OWL exam paper?” She asked him incredulously.
“Yeah.” He blushed crimson.
“Why the bloody hell would you do that?”
“Because I fancied you, Evans. Isn’t it obvious I still do? Considering the absolute fool I am making out of myself.” James watched the stunned look cross her face and took hold of the potions textbook as it slipped from her grasp.
“This is why I can’t just be friends with you Lily.”
“So then we won’t be just friends then.” She said simply. “Plenty of heads have dated before us. It’s not like we’d be the first. The Slytherins might have a problem with it considering you’re a pureblood but quite frankly I couldn’t give a toss what they think.”
“You wot?” James was dumbfounded, staring at her with his mouth open.
“I don’t want things to change James. I like us the way we are. If updating the label is what you wanted all you had to do was ask.”
“I’m sorry, are you saying you want to be my girlfriend?” he asked.
“Well yeah. That’s what you were trying to get at wasn’t it? Honestly you had me scared there for a minute. I thought you were like breaking up with me.” Lily sounded relieved. She was smiling broadly at him.
The butterflies had migrated from his throat to his lungs, doing somersaults in his chest. If he breathed too hard they might start flying out of his mouth. Lily leaned down and pressed her lips against his.
“That is what you want right?” She asked against his mouth.
All he could do was nod, as he cupped her face in his hands.

Moral of the Story
Tumblr media
Mattheo x Fem!Reader
A/N: so I tried something different with this one. Also posting on my phone, will fix it up when I can get on a computer.
Summary: don't hate me for this being about Mattheo and the reader.
Moral of the Story
So I never really knew you
God, I really tried to
Blindsided, addicted
Felt we could really do this
But really I was foolish
Hindsight, it's obvious
It’s funny how an attraction to someone can turn to a crush, which can lead to liking that person. And before you know it you’re in a relationship. All the while barely knowing them. Though over the course of a relationship you are meant to learn about that person you have chosen. Learning their likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests, if they are a dog or cat person. But for you it hadn’t been like that. Blinded by the Angel face of the Slytherin heartthrob Mattheo Riddle.
Like many girls before, and probably not the last, his chocolate brown eyes and curly brown mop caught your eye first. Then there was that smile that made butterflies flutter in your stomach. And not to forget that charm he just radiated when he talked, eyes focused on his prey, drawing you in whole heartedly. Every ounce of the male screamed sex appeal, every girl's fantasy. The bad boy, heartbreaker of Slytherin. He would blindside the girl he was interested in, causing them to become addicted to him. He was the drug of choice, and every girl became a drug addict on him.
You had believed you could be end game, claiming his heart just as quickly as you had offered up your own. But the fool you were. Mattheo had done it time and time again. Showing interest in a girl, becoming infatuated but really it was a game. Seeing how long it took from the first flirty look he sent their way to obtaining that first date with them to Hogsmeade. Round two in his game was to see how long it took to kiss them, which usually only took half their date. Extra points if he could get a make out session out of them before getting back to Hogwarts. Round three was for those that he found himself interested in for longer than a month. That was borderline full relationship status. Only a few had made it there, yourself included.
You were the exception though. For he chose to go full relationship with you, shocking all that watched your dalliance closely. Y/N L/N, the first girl to make Mattheo Riddle her boyfriend. That day was the happiest moment of your life so far. But with it came the looming shadow of those that wanted your head, though not literally. You had a target on your back from the moment you accepted to be his girlfriend of four months. Everything should have been obvious; Mattheo and his ways, the target on your back. You should have seen it coming.
Talking with my lawyer
She said, "Where'd you find this guy?"
I said, "Young people fall in love
With the wrong people sometimes"
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
You can think that you're in love
When you're really just in pain
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
In the end, it's better for me
That's the moral of the story, babe
Sitting in the Great Hall for lunch surrounded by your friends, you pushed your food around your plate. You were hungry but had no appetite for what was on offer. But you ate a few bites, which had been hard to swallow. The conversation your group was having was like white noise; you could hear it but did not focus on it, wanting to tune it out. If attendance wasn’t important you would have stayed in bed, wrapped in your blankets wallowing in self pity.
“What do you think Y/N/N?” Pansy asked drawing you from your mind.
You looked at her with a confused look. “Ah, come again?”
She sighed. “I asked what your thoughts on Snape’s pop quiz. But I think your head was somewhere else, no doubt dwelling on the sorry excuse of an ex”, her tone had been sharp.
You weren’t the only one hurting from your break up, though it was more Pansy wanting to hurt Mattheo for the number he had done on you. Pansy thought the world of you, after just clicking in second year over putting a couple Gryffindor girls in their place over your house; Slytherin.
“I know you cared for him Y/N/N” Pansy said with a pointed look, “mistake made, that’s alright. In the end it's better for you, save yourself true heartache. Once a player, always a player unfortunately”.
If only she truly knew that ship had already set sail. For this was true heartache. Stupidly on your part handing over your heart freely, though you had thought Mattheo was doing the same. Wrong.
It's funny how a memory
Turns into a bad dream
When running wild turns volatile
Remember how we painted our house
Just like my grandparents did?
So romantic, but we fought the whole time
Should have seen the signs, yeah
Looking down the Slytherin table you saw him sitting with both Draco and Blaise, all three in a heated discussion. How you longed for those moments. Sitting by his side as they conversed on a number of topics. You would even weigh in on the discussion with your own two cents. And they all seemed to enjoy your input on their banter. Those moments were a fond memory. Along with the stolen moments between the two of you. Such as a snog session in a corner of the library. Or lazing under a tree in the courtyard, Mattheo’s head resting on your lap.
But with the good there were always those that were turbulent. In the beginning there were a few moments that had been rough, and maybe a red flag, but the happy moments outweighed the bad. The last month of your relationship there was more turbulence than ever. It started out as small things; comments on your friends, conversations with friends or others from different houses, being late to meet him, etc. You had words with each other before turning into full on arguments, that many thought would lead to one of you hitting the other. It was all so toxic.
Talking with my mother
She said, "Where'd you find this guy?"
Said, "Some people fall in love
With the wrong people sometimes"
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
You can think that you're in love
When you're really just in pain
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
In the end it's better for me
That's the moral of the story, babe
Sneaking out that night you found yourself in the Astronomy Tower, cigarette between your lips as you lit it up. The first draw hit the back of your throat in familiarity, holding that burn for a few seconds before releasing it in a puff of smoke. With the lack of appetite, cigarettes became an addiction, bringing you some twisted comfort. As he was the reason you found yourself smoking. You consider it a parting gift of some sort.
Leaning against the railing of the tower, you looked up at the night sky. Grateful you never brought Mattheo up here. Or else this space would be tainted, like everywhere else you used to like to go. The stars in the sky seemed dull tonight, possibly mirroring your melancholy mood.
With the silence of the tower you heard the footsteps clearly, faintly coming up the stairs and growing louder as they came closer to you. It had to be one of your friends. No one else knew this was one of your hiding spots.
“Here you are” signed Pansy. “I have been looking everywhere for you”.
“You caught me” you sighed, releasing another puff of smoke before taking another drag of the cigarette. A soft, sympathetic look crossed Pansy’s face. Which you didn't like one bit. “Don't look at me like that. I don't want or need your sympathy”.
“You got hurt Y/N/N. He hurt you” she said, refusing to use his name. A true friend to the end.
“Yeah, and my dumbass knew what it was getting into. I saw it all before I stepped up to the Quidditch pitch. I ignored the red flags Pansy. It’s on me”.
“No!’ She said, raising her voice. “It’s on him! He took it further with you, he made you his girlfriend. If he intended to be serious he needed to work on himself”.
She had a valid point, you know that. You had changed for him, he should have done the same for you. Be the best version of himself for you. That wasn’t his plan. His plan was to be himself, you change for him and he would take from you while finding his next play thing.
“Well they say it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. That could be a load of shit” you said with your cigarette hanging from your lips while lighting it once more and taking another hit. “But that’s how it goes. Blinded by affections of the heart”.
“I understand that. But it’s still no excuse” retorted Pansy. “He could see how you felt, he chose to abuse that”.
But I just need to tell you all
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
You can think that you're in love
When you're really just engaged
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
In the end it's better for me
That's the moral of this story
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
You can think that you're in love
When you're really just in pain
“True, but I need to tell you some mistakes get made. That's alright, that's okay. In the end it's better for me, that's the moral of the story, babe” you said looking her in the eyes. “Chalk it up as a learning experience”.
“I don't disagree with your words. But I hate seeing you like this. It worries me” Pansy said, worry shining through her eyes brightly.
You gave her a soft smile that didn’t meet your eyes. “I know Pans. Honestly I am hurting, it sucks. But in time I will get over it, maybe not completely. Yet just enough to be some version of the old me. Promise”.
With those words, and a promise, Pansy let it be. And shortly after headed back to the Slytherin common room, you said you wouldn’t be far behind her. Alone once more, you continued to smoke your cigarette, your now old friend. You thought over what you had said to Pansy, the promise made. You weren’t sure if you believed your words or not. But hoped it was somewhat true. It gave you hope. Hope needed in a dark moment in this chapter of your life. Your first heartbreak, at the hands of Mattheo Riddle.
With the final drag of your cigarette, you put out the tip before flicking it over the edge of the tower. Taking one last look at the night sky, you saw a shooting star, a small sad smile forming on your lips. Taking your leave, you headed down the quiet staircase, along the portrait covered hall ways and back down into the depth of the castle, and the Slytherin common room.
Oh-oh, oh-oh (that's the moral of the story, that's the-)
(Oh-oh, oh-oh)
