+ a little bonus, bokuaka rant!

akaashi seems like the type of person who is amazing on his own, but can only truly flourish if they have a supportive community around them, like fukurodani, and bokuto specifically.

they are complete opposites, but the ones who seem to complement each other. for example, akaashi can withstand the full force of bokuto's enthusiasm about this new amazing thing he saw recently, but akaashi also can help ease bokuto's anxious fidgeting when he's too restless to stay still.

bokuto can fill the silence when akaashi seems too exhausted to keep the conversation going yet doesn't want to be left alone with his thoughts, but bokuto will also quiet down and listen attentively if akaashi has something to share. you know what I mean? they seem balanced. true soulmates!

Bokuto wanted to marry Akaashi, but Akaashi said "But you gotta know how to pay taxes first."

And Bokuto actually tried to learn it. He doesn't grasp the entire thing (because taxes are hard as HELL), but he's got the basic.

Growing up with 3 sisters (and his father passed away fairly quickly from lung cancer because he used to smoke a a lot), Bokuto learned how to fix tires, change light bulbs and become a mechanic to the whole family. Other people may think he's a dumbass with only volleyball on his mind, but he is actually the savior to the whole MSBY dorm whenever there is any problem with the building, such as electricity or water and other machineries.

Bokuto would also teach Akaashi how to change tires, but whenever he's with him and their car broke down, he would be the one to fix it. He owns a half-truck, and would often go to the supermarket to buy tools - he also loves gardening and had been planting some lettuces (don't ask me why), and he's proud because he's a resourceful, dependable person for his spouse.

Akaashi LOVES that of him (who wouldn't?).

Wait, what does PDA stand for?

Kageyhina and Bokuaka are on different sides of the PDA spectrum. Bokuaka is public displays of affection and Kageyhina is public displays of aggression. Both of their teams have created rules to prevent the couples in question from getting everyone else kicked out of establishments.

I have a hc that Akaashi and Kiyoko became close friends in college.

It was awkward at first, as both of them were shy and didn’t seem to have much in common other than the high school training camps. But gradually, they realized they were quite similar: quiet on the outside but with a passion and fire deep down.

They both loved to read—despite Kiyoko studying business, she was quite knowledgeable about classic literature and the latest bestsellers. They bonded over their love of poetry and music and art history.

They also shared some… bad habits as well. Both drank excessive amounts of caffeine, and neither could hold their liquor very well. They’d go out together expecting to just grab a couple of cocktails at a swanky jazz joint... but would eventually end up at a nightclub, drinking and dancing until 2am.

People often thought they were dating, watching as these two very attractive people made their way through campus attached at the hip. But of course they weren’t.

Keiji, a gay disaster who had been dating Bokuto since the older boy’s high school graduation?

Kiyoko, who had gradually fallen for her underclassman and was trying to find the right time to confess?

No, they weren’t together. Of course not. But their friendship ran deep. By the time Keiji graduated from university, he considered Kiyoko one of his best friends. Which is why, despite living in different prefectures in their mid-20s, they made an effort to meet up when they could. Sometimes for double dates with Bokuto and Tanaka.

Imagine the four of them together: two dark-haired beauties with their energetic lovable boyfriends! Bokuto and Tanaka would always have a blast when they hung out, and they too became closer thanks to their partner’s friendship.

Sometimes they would fall silent, just basking in Keiji and Kiyoko’s beauty as the two sat there, side by side, engrossed in a conversation about some novel or something.

“My fragile bi heart can’t take this,” Bokuto would joke, and Tanaka would just nod.

“Listen I’m pretty sure I’m straight but even I have to agree, dude. Akaashi’s a good looking guy.”

Bokuto laughed. “This wouldn’t be the first time his boyfriend had someone questioning their sexuality!” 😅

I just know that man Akaashi is dehydrated. Chronically. Meanwhile pro athlete Bokuto "I can feel every cell in my body rn" Kotaro has sports drink flowing in his veins.

Akaashi will wonder why he's felt like garbage all day, until Bokuto points out that he's been awake for 20 hours straight and has only had coffee & cookies the whole time. And Akaashi’s like "…yeah. Makes sense"

my fave silly haikyuu hcs !!! side note: these are my personal headcanons and opinions. if anything is disrespectful or anything like that please let me know.

bokuaka own a blu budgie together n it loves playing in bokutos spiky hair. it also likes sitting on akaashis glasses and chews on his paperwork sometimes (he gets in trouble for it BAHAHAHHA)

T4T TSUKIYAMA yamz came out to tsukishima first around a year after they started dating (tsukishima cried)

tsukishima info dumps to yamaguchi about dinosaurs and sea creatures so much to the point yamaguchi gained a dinosaur hyperfixation from tsukishima (he still has it)

yachi hyperfixates on birds and she info dumps sometimes when helping hinata and kageyama study (hinata hyperfixated on birds after for a while)

auhd kagehina (hinata adhd kags autism :)

hinata gets new hyperfixations and rants/info dumps to kageyama. he always goes back to hyperfixating volleyball though, either way.

sometimes the first years have sleepovers together and sometimes all they do is watch documentaries on their hyperfixations (i wanna draw this so badly omg). hinata kageyama and tsukishima argue about what to watch first all the time (tsukishima always ends up choosing first)

one time when the first years had a sleepover hinata wanted to bake and they almost burnt tsukishimas house down

whenever they hang out its usually at tsukishima or yachi's place

poly karasuno 3rd yrs (asahi suga daichi kiyoko isnt a part of this cus of yachi)

when karasuno has practice matches kiyoko and yachi talk together most of the time and kiyoko listens to yachi info dump :3

when kenma and kuroo get into an arguement kuroo apologizes by either making kenma apple tarts or apple pie or plays a game with him. kenma apologizes by letting kuroo choose what they watch at movie night for the next two weeks.

on special occasions like oikawas birthday, valentines day, their anniversary, iwaizumi bakes oikawa milk bread!!

Sakusa (I absolutely loathe people) kiyoomi starts calling atsumu "love" once he's comfortable and miya (flirting was invented by me) atsumu turns into tomato every single time 😭😭

PS: Shy tsumu actually screamed for 2 hours on a call with samu when it happened for the first time and blunt Omi who just shrugged at Motoya because yes love is atsumu and atsumu is his love (I love them)

thinking of hq red string smau with bokuaka and reader

the two of you met during your second year of highschool. you had to transfer to fukurodani in the middle of the school year because of your parent's job, and coincidentally, when you met with the person that was supposed to show you around campus, the red string wrapped around their ring finger connected to yours.

keiji's emotions were a mix of shock and excitement when you shook hands with him. he were excited because he finally met his soulmate, obviously! the person that almost everyone in the world looks for but most fall unfortunate because they end up never finding theirs, or only meeting them once it's too late. and he was shocked, because he was excited. mostly because he doubted this whole soulmate thing the world entangled you all in once you turned sixteen. he didn't understand how having a set system for who you're supposed to be with for the rest of your life made any sense at all.

that doesn't really matter now, though. his doubts and worries were all washed away once he got to know you anyway. you both decided on taking it slow first as friends then when it comes to it and romantic feelings develop between the two of you, you'd take the next step.

you found out about how he was a player in the school's volleyball team. simultaneously, he also introduced you to a certain owl-like third year that keiji seemed to grow fond of. bokuto kotaro, the fukurodani volleyball team's proud captain. bokuto kotaro, the man without a red string wrapped around his ring finger.
