🖇️BL WATCHLIST OCTOBER
🎬Ai Long Nhai - I’m watching this for Jom but wtf did they do to his hair? I can only hope the subtitles don’t adequately represent what’s going on in this show but at least everyone’s really pretty?
🎬War of Y - This show somehow manages to suckerpunch me every single week. BillySeng were amazing and Bew from the second story deserves the world (so the exact opposite of what the finale gave him).
🎬Ghost Host, Ghost House - This show is a gem.
🎬Why You... Y Me? - I honestly didn’t expect this show to be so good? It’s genuinely funny and charming. I didn’t even have it on my radar because it’s not 100% a BL but going by the first ep the two BL couples are treated fairly equally to the (straight) main couple. It’s a bit like The Shipper minus the bodyswitching and fantasy elements.
🎬Love in the Air - I’m not 100% invested but I like it well enough and look forward to each new ep. When, uh... when will we get Saifah’s story, though? I’m asking for a friend.
🎬The Eclipse - I’m enjoying everyone’s commentaries and insights on this show so much. And the show itself has this emotional sincerity to it that really resonates with me. Also, Neo is doing fantastic in this.
🎬 Hard Love Mission - Eh, a cute show. Sometimes that’s enough.
🎬Big Dragon - Perhaps my most anticipated show this year. At this point I couldn’t stop stanning if I wanted to (I don’t).
🎬Fahlanruk - I have this soft spot for Sherbet (and his hair) and I don’t know where that’s even coming from but it keeps me watching every week.
🎬Remember Me - I came for JaFirst and stayed for Name and that amazing feeling of nostalgia.
🎬Self - Ep 1 was way different than the trailer but I kind of like how the main character is a jerk so let’s see where this goes.
🖇️ON HOLD
⏸️My Only 12% - This is so cute, and Santa & Cooheart are so, so good, but I’m way behind and I don’t have the time to catch up. 😔
🖇️LOOKING FORWARD TO
⭐To Sir, With Love - This has already started but the eps are 90 minutes and I don’t have the time to watch atm. 😔
🖇️FINISHED
🎬Oh! My Sunshine Night - I started watching this for Noh and Noh only and then went on to let RainPhayu consume my entire soul. And despite Aisplay seemingly butchering the whole show during pre-production I still enjoyed it for the most part. It sure was a very pretty show, and the cast did what they could with it.

I'm so close to catching up with my books! Here we have the triumph of time, again, as a vellucent binding, again. And this may not look super different to you from my last iteration of this project! The differences were VERY process-driven and hard to photograph, but I pinky swear that there are incremental but noticeable improvements, and i would never mix up editions irl.
Tumblr media
First up, refresher, vellucent binding is when there's a protective layer of vellum floating over your cover illustration, protecting it. Or. If you're cheap. Paper vellum. My first time around, I realized as soon as I got the vellum paper wet that oh shit, this REALLY has a grain, and it is the opposite of what my books want. It's the first time I've ever been punished for ignoring grain, though, so I can't complain. I pressed on anyways, because what is even the point of fucking around if you aren't bold enough to find out? As a result, my vellum on the first set has noticeable wrinkles, despite only the turn-ins being glued down, and it all floats more than i wish. You have to smooth it with your fingers to really SEE the detail in the images.
So, naturally, my second time, I got bigger vellum paper, covered the whole thing in paste, plopped my covers onto there, and planned to smooth the wrinkles out. Yeahhhh, that... it was fairly forgiving in the one volume with a primarily white background, and was a goddamn nightmare on the three illustrations.
Tumblr media
Lesson one: paper vellum is like a sandworm that wants to curl up and die at the first touch of moisture. Lesson two: it wants to hurt you. PUNISH you. Lesson three: no seriously it is so much more difficult and unforgiving than any other material I've sampled yet. The wallet cost of actual vellum may be outweighed by the emotional cost of this shit.
Naturally, I am bewitched and determined to science it into submission.
For the record: v1 (turn-ins glued, wrong grain) in the bottom left, v2 (paste everywhere, abandoned on the curb without text blocks to warp and writhe as they please) in the top center, and v3 (turn-ins glued, correct grain, more effort to pull tension on the vellum) in the bottom right. I'm not done experimenting by any means, but i need to stop for a minute until i nail the process, to save my poor toner cartridges
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the books themselves! Even though i still see ways to polish my own process, i am DELIGHTED with them. The pull of the paper vellum still wants to introduce slack and wrinkles to the cover as it dries, but there's much less! The moment you get adhesive on paper vellum you commit to a fight to the death, but I'm getting better at handling and anticipating it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's a level of polish in the assembly of this set that was lacking in my first and second attempts at the covers. Even if it isn't perfect yet, I'm learning so much, and have new ideas for how to troubleshoot. The idea of making this bookbinding style more accessible and affordable fills me with so much delight, I can't even articulate it. I'm still very much an amateur myself, there are lots of professional best practices I can only speak to in the abstract. Pinning down something this niche and luxurious would make me so happy. Future science will be done on single-volume sets, probably after I'm done moving, but it's at the top of my to do list!! And when it's perfected, I'm for SURE coming back to this series, it's one of my all-time faves, I want to give it the fanciest treatment my hands can devise.

Heyy, I want you to know that your writings are wonderful! Like you can write Muichiro and Yuichiro's characters very well! So therefore, I have a request that you can do it anytime!
A heart warming scene between Muichiro × demon slayer/pillar/non-demon slayer!reader (it's up to you) who loves to play piano. That was the first time Muichiro ever saw that instrumen and then y/n offered him to play it together. Although he was a little bit hesitant at first, Muichiro accepted her offer.
I've been craving for this scene from Hotel Del Luna for a longgg time! This is how she would help him to play the piano, the song is Noctrune Op. 9 No. 2 so you can easly represent the atmosphere (For the position, the guy is y/n and the girl is Muichiro) Thank you, have a great day<3

Muichiro continued walking with his usual emotionless expression, but his footsteps came to a halt as he caught the sound of soothing music reaching his ears. His head turned instinctively, seeking the source of the melodic tune.
He approached Y/n's estate, he couldn't help but be captivated by the enchanting sight of the wisteria vines gracefully cascading towards the ground. Its gentle descent seemed to match the serene notes of the music he had heard earlier, creating a tranquil atmosphere that drew him in.
The mist pillar continued his steps, his usually emotionless expression softening as he took in the beauty surrounding him. The sound of the music grew louder as he neared the source, and he found himself being pulled closer, almost as if the melody itself was beckoning him.
Curiosity piqued, Muichiro approached the room where the sound of the piano was emanating from. The soft notes flowed through the air, intertwining with the delicate presence of the wisteria. As he peered into the room, he laid eyes on a piano for the first time, its elegant form and black and white keys captivating his attention.
Y/n was skillfully playing it, her fingers gracefully dancing across the keys, producing the enchanting melody that had drawn Muichiro to this place, the way she played seemed effortless.
Y/n continued to play the piano, her graceful movements mirrored the delicate and intricate nature of the music as her fingers danced across the keys, effortlessly producing each note with precision and skill, her body swaying in rhythm with the melody, displaying a deep connection to the music that transcended words. Muichiro remained in the doorway, captivated by the sight before him.
As if attuned to Muichiro's lingering presence, Y/n suddenly turned towards him, bringing both of them to a sudden halt. Muichiro blinked, momentarily caught off guard. He hadn't expected to be noticed, especially since he had been observing from a distance without making his presence known.
“Sorry, I didn’t see you there.” With a soft chuckle, Y/n broke the silence, apologizing for not acknowledging him earlier.
“It’s fine…” He trailed off, “What’s that?” He asked, curiosity was piqued as he observed the piano, his gaze focused on the intricate details of the instrument. He took a few steps closer, his eyes scanning the keys, the wooden body, and the overall construction of the piano.
“Piano. Never seen one?” Y/n’s question prompted him to shake his head slightly, indicating that he had never encountered it before.
"No, I've never seen one," Muichiro admitted, his tone reflecting his genuine curiosity.
Y/n smiled, “Want to try?”
Muichiro's gaze lingered on the piano, a mixture of curiosity and uncertainty swirling within his eyes. The prospect of trying his hand at this unfamiliar instrument both intrigued and intimidated him. He had never ventured into the realm of music before, and the thought of creating melodies seemed like a daunting task.
With a subtle nod, Muichiro accepted Y/n's invitation. He stepped closer to the piano, his fingers hovering over the keys and gently pressed a key to which his initial hesitation resurfaced as the sound of the piano key reverberated through the room, causing a momentary flinch.
Y/n softly chuckled, “Here.” she stood up and gestured towards the cushioned seat, inviting Muichiro to take a seat and make himself comfortable to which he complied.
Muichiro's eyes remained locked on the keys, his hands hovering uncertainly above them, filled with hesitation. He couldn't help but wonder how Y/n made it seem so effortless.
Y/n's smile widened as she observed Muichiro's endearing expression of confusion. She found his lost demeanor endearing, a charming contrast to his typically composed and focused nature.
Taking a step closer, Y/n positioned herself behind Muichiro, her body enveloping his with a comforting embrace, she leaned over, her chest against his back. She gently placed her hands on top of his, her touch guiding his fingers to the correct keys.
Muichiro's eyes widened at the unexpected touch of Y/n's hands on top of his. The closeness of their proximity and the warmth radiating from Y/n's presence created an intimate atmosphere that was both comforting and exhilarating.
A mix of emotions swirled within Muichiro, his heart beating a little faster. He had always been reserved and composed, unaccustomed to such close interactions.
"Feel the keys beneath your fingertips," Y/n softly said, guiding his hands.
Muichiro's heart continued to race as Y/n's voice resonated in his ears. He took a deep breath, allowing her words to penetrate his thoughts and calm the storm of emotions within him.
He began to lower his fingers onto the keys, trembling ever so slightly, a testament to the mix of excitement and apprehension coursing through his veins.
Y/n's guidance continued, Muichiro surrendered himself to the touch of the keys. He allowed his fingertips to press against them, feeling the subtle resistance and the resulting vibrations that echoed through the room.
His resistance melted away as he surrendered himself to the melody. The captivating notes resonated within him, creating a sense of solace that seemed to transport him to a different realm—one free from the burdens of demons and conflicts.
Their fingers moved across the keys, as the music enveloped him, its enchanting embrace drowning out the noises of the outside world.
The idea of stepping outside his comfort zone was daunting for Muichiro. However, he contemplated making an exception, just this once, for Y/n.

Thank you to everyone who has shown an interest in these videos. The reblogs and likes all made me very happy, and I especially appreciated the kind comments some of you left in your reblog text and tags. I'm unsure of the proper Tumblr way to respond directly to that in a way that won't annoy people, but I've definitely noticed and appreciated it!
An explanation of this project and my tentative plans for it are listed below the break. A lot of it will be familiar if you've read my earlier posts, but it's more detailed -- and excessively long! There's also some info on how you can help, especially if you have any old videos or audio files that you'd be willing to contribute.
Why Do You Call These "Enhanced Editions"?
The videos I'm using are not my own, but I've spent many hours adding enhancements to them. Credit and links to the original videos are in the video descriptions. These are the typical enhancements you'll see:
I'm upscaling the videos as best I can. It isn't remotely perfect, but it's a little more watchable than the originals. I'm not experienced with this and the videos I'm working with are very low quality by today's standards. They were also recorded under difficult circumstances. Video taking wasn't permitted at most of the earlier cons, so the people who took them did so at the risk of getting kicked out. They couldn't exactly come waltzing in with a tripod, so the videos are shaky, they don't always have a clear view of the stage, and sometimes they cut off at unfortunate moments. They can be frustrating to watch, but we owe these people a debt of gratitude for capturing this footage because otherwise it would have been lost altogether.
The original videos are usually in multiple parts, but I'm editing them together into a single video as cohesively as possible. I may use videos from multiple sources to provide the most complete video possible, and I'll select the ones with the highest video quality available. Sometimes there just aren't a lot out there, though.
I'm adding extra content to help clarify references people make during the panels. The videos I've worked with so far don't take up the full width of a modern video frame, so I've taken advantage of that extra space to display the extra content to the side where it's less obtrusive. There are explanations for obscure references that are way funnier when you understand what they mean, plus episode references to help jog the memory for those of us who haven't rewatched the show a million times. In rare cases where I think it will enhance understanding, I'll insert brief episode clips that highlight what they're talking about.
I'm putting a LOT of time into adding good, color-coded English subtitles that can be turned on and off with YouTube's CC button. These videos can be frustrating to understand because the audience often drowns them out and Jared and Jensen tend to talk at the same time when they're together. I can't always figure everything out, but it's far better than the crazy, auto-generated nonsense that many videos have. The color-coding helps with telling who's saying what: red for Jared, blue for Jensen, green for the general audience, yellow for the current fan at the microphone, and white for other people such as staff.
If there's missing footage that I can't find anywhere, then if I can find a source that seems to have reliable details about what was discussed, I'll add still images with a brief summary and a link to my source in the video description.
What Conventions Do You Plan to Enhance?
I don't want to make grand promises that I'll enhance videos for every old convention, although I definitely love the idea of doing so. How far I go with this will depend on how much sustained interest there is from other people and how much spare time I have myself. My output speed will probably be erratic depending on what's going on in my life at the time.
My general plan was to start with the oldest conventions and work my way forward. For now, I only plan to enhance the panels with Jared and/or Jensen since they're my main interest. I may temporarily skip over conventions that they didn't both attend, but with the intent to go back and fill those in later.
One big constraint will be whether I can find enough videos to work with for a convention, and just how bad the quality is. I've found that some videos are too poor of a quality to upscale, at least with my limited skill. Since these videos are painful to watch in their raw form, I suspect people will be less interested in watching "enhanced" videos that don't include at least some noticeable improvement in visual quality, but please do let me know if I'm wrong. For that reason, I'll probably skip past cons if I can't upscale the videos, at least for now.
As I work through the old conventions, I'll make a good attempt to upscale the available videos. If I don't have much success, then I'll skip over that convention with the hope that someday either the technology or my skills will improve, or maybe a more skilled fan will be able to accomplish more with it. If I make it through all the low-hanging fruit, I might come back to those problematic conventions and just create a cohesive edit with special content and subtitles even if I can't substantially improve the video quality.
These are just my general thoughts right now but the project is young, so my strategy may change.
Can I Help?
If you have any old convention videos or audio files that you're willing to contribute, please message me! For now, let's limit it to content from 2010 or older. Maybe I can use them, maybe I can't, but the more I have to work with, the better chance I have of creating something more complete. If I do use your material, I'll credit you in whatever manner you prefer.
Even if your videos are on YouTube, I've found that the original files may upscale much better than videos pulled off YouTube. I think the videos were degraded when they were uploaded to YouTube, at least back then. If you send me videos that I'm able to upscale, I'll happily send the upscaled versions back to you for your collection regardless of whether or not I use them. (If you have any videos you don't want me to use for this project, let me know and I'll respect your wishes.)
Even if your video looks terrible, you might just have a missing piece of footage that I couldn't find anywhere else, or your video might upscale more easily than another. If nothing else, I might be able to hear something in the audio that will help me fill in a subtitle I couldn't figure out.
Likewise, audio files can be helpful even without video. If nothing else, they may help me fill in some subtitles. If the audio file is consistently easier to understand than the audio on the videos I'm using, I can also substitute the audio from your file in place of the video's audio. If you have audio of sections of the panels for which no known videos exist, that could also help me fill in those gaps.
If you're watching my enhanced videos with the subtitles turned on, please do let me know if you catch any errors or if you can clearly understand something I marked as [inaudible]. I can't change the videos themselves on YouTube, not without breaking the links and causing confusion, but it's pretty easy to update the subtitles because they're a separate file. It's important to me to try not to put words in their mouths that they might not have said, so I'm trying not to guess based on context. However, there were times when I felt like I should have been able to understand what they said but I just couldn't manage it, and I'm sure someone with different ears may be able to figure out some of the parts I couldn't.

The mirror is not a mirror. Its a jewellery holder. I bought this mirror for £5 at a car boot sale when I was about 15 years old. It's served me well for the last 27 years. I've always used it more for jewellery, the curly bits lend themselves to that, and it means when they're not being worn they're still decorative to the room.
Tumblr media
There's far too much here for me to go through it all, though the vast majority is thrifted or I've had for decades and I forget where its from. However, shoutout to my friend for the rosary style necklace (here's a post I did about them in more detail which includes a link to her etsy shop). She also made the green lady and the heart with the eye in it at the top and the dragon eye. I think they were all done with air drying clay.
I also assembled a few myself (can't really say I properly "made" them), the ones you see on velvet ribbons, and I have a full post about how I did that here.
The message board is not a message board. Its a jewellery holder.
Tumblr media
Many of these were found or thrifted. The two sets at the top left are my Good Omens earrings that I put together with charms and beads, the onyx teardrops were my wedding earrings, the flies are by Katie Whittle, the Krampus ones were bought at a comic con but unfortunately I've forgotten the details of the seller (a shame because she had lots of other cool stuff).
The ravens I got from Etsy, but they're originally Ali Express. Be careful with etsy, there are a lot of sellers who claim their stock is handmade but are really re-selling items from Ali Express, Wish or Temu. Initially I found these for £19 ("on sale", regular price supposedly £30). All the seller had done was put an earring hook on them, which I really don't think qualifies them as handmade or warrants such a price hike. I did a search for "crow charm" and found them being sold elsewhere on etsy for £5. Then I did a reverse image search and found the original Ali Express listing where they can be bought for £2.37.
I did buy the £5 etsy ones for the convenience of having them shipped from the UK, but I would always advise checking more than one shop, or using Google lens/reverse image searching if you suspect an etsy item might not be legit.
You may notice, none of my earrings have hooks or posts on them. This is because my ears are stretched (the right has been 16mm for many years, and I'm currently stretching up the left to match, at present it's 5mm), so I can't wear conventional earrings.
You can get special plugs or tunnels that you can hang a hook earring from, but they usually make it very front-heavy which I don't like. I prefer the weight evenly distributed across my whole ear.
So, I simply remove the hook or post from any earrings I buy using jewellery pliers, and when I want to wear a set I hang them from a hinged segment ring (bottom left on my pin board, very cheap online), and put the ring through my tunnel. You just have to make sure there is a loop of some kind left at the top of the earring that you can put the segment ring through.
And if I want to wear them hanging from another of my lobe piercings I can do that too 😉. All my regular piercings are 1.2mm.

OKAY!! We are a day away from autumn, the fall menus have kicked in at most establishments, and I love the fall season so I was like "I want to have an event around it," and that's what this is!
Requests for this event will have the largest window for acceptance I've had in a long ass time--they'll be open until November 7th and requests in the general sense will be accepted until the 10th. Any requests sent after that weekend will either be declined or deleted and I'll reblog this post to remind people when it closes
As is the usual per these events, my requests are open for the following characters: Genya, Alina, Mal, Zoya, Nikolai and David from the original Grisha trilogy, Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Wylan, Nina, and Matthias from Six of Crows, and Aaron Warner and Kenji Kishimoto from the Shatter Me series
when dividin' up the universe you could have mine- this is a more musically inclined prompt! What I mean by that is this: give me a character, a gender pref for the reader (gn, fem, masc) and a song! I think of this prompt and I think of slow dancing but you don't have to send in a slow song if you're thinking of like, a group dance type thing in a city square! Send in a character, a gender pref and the song of your choice and I will write a 1-3k word fic involving the characters dancing while the song is playing in the background.
I think I might have fallen in love- realization fics! Fics with this prompt can be the realization of anything--a characters imminent death, the moment wherein someone realizes they've been betrayed, or they can be super fluffy and detail the moment a character realizes they're in love, the moment where they realize they can see a future with the reader--perhaps one that entails settling down or one that involves leaving the past behind--, the moment where they realize that they want to marry them! Anything goes with this prompt, and I'll write 1-5k words using it!
And you've got your demons and darlin', they all look like me- for this prompt, think bittersweet! Good relationships that ended due to some unforseen circumstance and lead to a very nostalgic and bittersweet reunion. Think the acknowledgement of a past relationship and the bittersweet tug of the heart that comes with looking back at shared memories. This is basically the bittersweet, nostalgic angst prompt, and I encourage that you do with that what you will.
my heart is yours- this is the general fluff prompt! I am looking for spooky fluff/fluff set in autumn that just carries with it the cozy feeling that picks up as autumn starts and the weather cools down. I will accept anything for this including prompts from the prompt lists which are located on my pinned post! Anything that is remotely fluffy goes here lol
We spent a week in the cold- this is collages! Give me a character and a fall themed activity, and I'll make a collage/moodboard out of it!
You must've been looking for me- ships! Give me your fandom pref, gender pref, and a couple of fall themed dates you'd like to go on/have gone on. I'll use that to ship you with a character and write a blurb!

March recs
I didn't read a ton in March -- between my birthday, attending SXSW Film (16 movies in one week!), and then getting over the cold I caught at SXSW -- and what I did read was mostly… Harry Potter fic? Yeah, I was surprised too. I've bookmarked only one fic in the last few years since JKR went off the transphobia cliff, so it was a bit strange, but I was pleased to see fandom is persisting in being aggressively queer and/or 'fuck canon' about it.
So I've got 1 Murderbot fic, 1 The Fugitive fic, and 5 Harry Potter fics, plus a handful more at Pinboard.
reasoning made lucid and cool by The_Onion (Murderbot, gen)
Iris is guest-teaching a PUMNT course, so it makes sense for Murderbot to go as her security. Yes, ART is doing most of the job, and yes, they are making Murderbot take a class, but it's still only there for work. It thinks? What do you mean it has to do a group project. "Really, the longer I stayed here, the more it seemed like this was all a ploy to force me into an education module."
A++ Murderbot-ART dynamic, plus Murderbot blowing its cover to save lives, as per usual.
Wikipedia: List of notable manhunts by rastaban (The Fugitive, Sam/Richard)
Categories: Manhunts | US Marshal's Office | Overturned convictions in the United States | Withdrawn drugs | Gay & lesbian figures in the 1990s
Charmingly meta fic from the POV of someone editing the articles about Richard's story. I love the details filling in the case details, and every quote from Sam sounds just like him.
HARRY POTTER
Tumblr media
Heal Thyself by astolat (Harry/Draco)
"Are you going for the course?" Lovegood asked. "You have the NEWTs.” “What course?” Draco said, then, “No, don’t be ridiculous,” when he realized she meant the notice pinned up on the board he’d been staring at: Applicants To The Introductory Mediwizard Course For The Coming Term Shall Present Themselves In The Chief Mediwizard’s Office By August 24th. “Oh, I thought you might,” she said. “Well, goodbye.” And off she wandered again in her addled way.
Great redemption arc for Draco with fascinating worldbuilding about magical healing. And competence porn, of course - astolat always excels at that!
the dogfather by hollimichele (gen, Remus/Sirius)
“I’m not a reverse werewolf either,” says the man. “I’m your godfather.”
Wonderful AU where Harry gets adopted by Muggles and Sirius escapes early that I started reading on Tumblr ages ago and finally got around to finishing on AO3 years later.
All Our Secrets Laid Bare by firethesound (Harry/Draco)
Over the six years Draco Malfoy has been an Auror, four of his partners have turned up dead. Harry Potter is assigned as his newest partner to investigate just what is going on.
Creative and engaging plot (mystery with intermittent work disasters), and VERY hot.
that’s the art of getting by by sarewolf (Remus/Sirius)
“What do you want me to do?” Remus says, tiredly. All he wants is to curl up on his bed. Smoke a pack of cigarettes. Get drunk. He can’t stop looking at Harry. “Remus…” Dumbledore is gentle. Remus hates when he has that tone. Hates that he knows it will hurt. “There is no one else left.” A bitter laugh escapes him. “So you’ll curse the poor thing with a werewolf for a guardian?”
Wrenching, gorgeously written AU that digs into Remus and Sirius's trauma, then patiently untangles their grief and betrayal and love so they can start to heal.
Lost and Found by rosie-writes (Remus/Sirius)
Imagine a universe in which Remus never went to Hogwarts. The Marauders never became Animagi, and so Peter had nowhere to run when Sirius cornered him after the Potters' deaths. Peter was the one who ended up in Azkaban, whilst Sirius was granted custody of Harry. Fast-forward six years or so, to a sunny day in April 1988….
Wistful but startlingly sweet AU.

Commission FAQ's
Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for their interest in my commissions. It really means a lot to me that y'all want a commission from me! I've been getting a fair amount of comments & questions regarding my commissions so I wanted to try n' address 'em here:
How do I go about getting a commission? I open commissions spontaneously when I have the time and energy to do so. I generally make a post a day or two in advance as a heads up to keep an eye out. Heads up posts generally look like this. Moving forward though I will try to make these posts stand out/look a little more obvious as heads up posts since there's been some confusion about them. Note: I do not send individual heads up messages to people. I just don't have the time or energy to do that. If you'd like a commission your best bet is to keep your eyes peeled for a post that looks like this, read the details and send me a message.
Do you have a waitlist? I do not currently have a wait list, the reason being that I don't always know what my Patreon workload or my personal art needs may be from month to month. I also suffer from depression and chronic pain. I can't really predict when I'll be in a depressive episode or in too much pain to concentrate or draw. My ability to work varies during these times and I can't really commit to a commission waitlist because of this. Opening commissions spontaneously helps me gauge how much work I can take on at the current time and not get overwhelmed having a list hanging over me that I feel like I need to rush through. I've also had negative experiences with commission wait lists in the past where by the time I get to someone they've lost interest or just ghost me. :(
Can you reserve a spot for me next time? I'm sorry, I cannot. I try to give everyone a fair shot at grabbing a commission slot and I don't have the energy to contact everyone interested with personal messages.
I live in a different time zone and I keep missing your commission posts, can you post at a different time? I already do vary the times that I make commission posts, I suspect people may be missing them due to how fast they get claimed sometimes.
Where's the best place to catch your commission posts? Honestly, Tumblr. This is where I make commission posts first, the reason being that other sites don't allow for long posts with images the way Tumblr does so it's harder for me to get all of the information in one place. Because of this Tumblr posts need to go up first so I can link to all the details from my other socials. That being said, correspondence regarding commissions is best on Discord where I can pin your details & reference images. Feel free to message me there username: Jaymzeecat. Tumblr, Twitter and email are also adequate for correspondence though I cannot pin so details can get lost in the conversation sometimes.
It's really hard for me to keep tabs on messages from sites like Furaffinity or Patreon. They also don't allow images to be sent via messages, unfortunately.
While I definitely appreciate everyone's interest and how much y'all help me pay my bills! FOR REAL! I am only one person and I'm doing my best. (And not for nuthin'... I'm old and tired, haha!) I realize you may be frustrated when you miss out on commissions, but please don't send me angry or passive aggressive comments/messages. :( I really am trying to accommodate everyone.
I think that's everything! I hope y'all can catch commissions the next time they're open, thanks everyone!

I've spoken about this before & have the very short explanation in my pinned post, but I've been getting multiple asks the last couple days about it for some reason- maybe people have been discussing it elsewhere? Not sure, but I'll answer it again, as well as go a little more in-depth about what I've researched since last time I spoke about it.
The question is: why am I still using Curseforge? The answer is: I'm using whatever I get from it to pay for my meds and anything left over from that goes towards my medical or other bills. I've talked about this in-depth a number of times by now, so I won't go into the same extreme detail, but my financial situation is pretty damn bad right now. I try to joke about it when I can, but despite having a job and getting a little on the side from cf/patreon, I'm in the red every month. And after my father's recent passing, I've gained an additional unexpected 6k debt. At this point, I'm doing everything I can on the side irl and online just to keep my head above water. And for now, unfortunately, that includes uploading some cc to Curseforge. Though I'm looking into other options constantly & hoping my situation will improve enough over time that I can abandon it completely.
However... I fully support anyone's desire to boycott, which is why I make sure there's alt links available and clearly marked for all my cc so no one needs to use Curseforge to obtain it. I honestly don't even want to use it myself and wouldn't be if my health and access to medication wasn't on the line. But sadly, every day many of us under capitalism are caught between a rock and a hard place. If you work for minimum wage at McDonald's to feed yourself and your family, are you directly supporting the IDF because the company does? In the US, our tax dollars fund them, against our will. Does working in general mean you personally support them? It's more of a balance game honestly, much with any other boycott or form of protest. Organizers of national boycotts know this struggle, especially for those that are disadvantaged, in poverty, located in food deserts without much choice in what they buy or where they work, etc. That's why organizations such as the BDS focus on targeted boycotts. Focusing on certain targets allows consumers to do what they can to help without being consumed or overwhelmed with the demand to boycott everything that may qualify. That is what I'm personally doing in regards to boycotting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These images are from the BDS website about boycott targets, and I highly recommend everyone to read the entire article. A part I find poignant in regards to the Curseforge boycott is the second image is the bolded paragraph. What is the aim of this boycott, and what do we expect cf to change or do differently to end it? Overwolf, which owns Curseforge, is an Israeli company. Some will boycott based on that alone, which makes sense, but that obviously isn't something that we can list as a demand to be changed. So what should we ask for? On a surface level, there appears to have been some change so far. Since posting their original tweet in regards to the IDF that everyone has seen by now, they've followed up multiple times to say they don't fund the IDF. It's first instinct to think they're lying, but my question is... why? It isn't like being pro-Israel isn't the majority opinion in the mainstream media after all, especially in Israel and the US. So why even bother to backtrack or risk being caught in a lie?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Personally, I think it's the truth, because there's little benefit in lying to pacify what they would see as a minority opinion. I don't think they need to lie about that, and I don't think they're directly funding the IDF. I think the real problem in what they're doing is actually a bit deeper, and they know that. So their words in the above messages were easy to say to imply change without lying, but still deceitful in a different way. This the Home Support crowdfunding website, and notably the ILF is listed as a partner. I checked their website and it openly mentions Zionism as one of their "values". The ILF is also the one managing the donated money, rather than Overwolf. So at that point, the question is not whether Overwolf is donating directly to the IDF, but if you can trust the word of the ILF to donate appropriately? And the answer to that is, most likely, no. They say the money is only for displaced families and not weaponry, but the fact that the money is going to a Zionist organization to spend and Overwolf is associated with them to begin with is a huge problem.
Tumblr media
All that being said, so I'm not misunderstood: I'm not encouraging anyone to let Overwolf off the hook or not to boycott. I think boycotting is an important default response if you are able. I just believe it would also be a good idea to figure out what the goal is and what we as a community want Overwolf to do/change in order to end the boycott. While making sure everyone involved is fully informed on all Overwolf has said/done regarding the matter so we can appropriately demand change. I feel like the boycott so far has been focused on "Overwolf funds the IDF" without further detail or research beyond the initial tweet, which isn't directly true as far as we know, which makes it easy for them to brush off/ignore these claims and never meet any demands... therefore creating an ineffective boycott. Where the demands really need to lie is in their association with the ILF through this crowdfunding campaign. I'm most interested in proof of where the donated money is going, and/or a dissociation between Overwolf and the ILF. I also think EA needs to take a bigger hit here as they are directly profiting from using Curseforge. If cc creators are considered to be funding genocide by using the site, EA is 100% doing the same at a far larger scale by promoting and collecting revenue from uploads as a developer per Curseforge's TOU. If Overwolf is a target, and CF users are targets, EA absolutely must be one as well. (And possibly developers for other games using Curseforge)
Tumblr media
I also think there needs to be more organization and streamlining in regards to who is being boycotted. Anyone that uses Curseforge at all, just creators that upload there, or just creators without alt links? Or even focused particularly on those promoted as the official "Mod Squad" by EA/Curseforge and/or the highest earners to put more pressure on EA? In regards to boycotting creators, are you also no longer using and promoting their cc in your posts so they don't get advertisement? Are you making exceptions for certain creators and not others based on popularity, convenience, or income? What about EA in general, since they also profit from Curseforge? What is the scale and where can we apply the most pressure to make the boycott more effective and motivate actual change?
I believe the first people that need to speak out on this issue (once the community determines our specific demands) are content creators affiliated with EA, whether through the CF Mod Squad or any other official endorsement or collaboration. That means cc creators as well as youtubers and any other sims related influencers. Also, those that have the highest downloads on CF would make the biggest impact by pulling their cc from the site either permanently or temporarily depending on organizational efforts/scheduling, as that will hit them the hardest revenue wise. I think this may be a way of putting some direct pressure on EA and Overwolf. The problem with this is, of course, that we would need the cooperation of these large creators, but most have been silent through the calls to boycott. I'm sure this is because of the potential loss of income, and honestly... I believe as long as the only accepted form of protest is removing everything from the site and losing revenue, those creators will continue to be silent. I think it may be best to start by asking these creators to simply speak out about the issue, as their word and influence alone would go a long way, especially if they're closer affiliated with EA. I think creators need to speak out specifically about the crowdfunding effort created by Overwolf's CEO and the CEO of the ILF as I mentioned above, rather than solely focusing on Curseforge's revenue and where it's going. The real issue is the affiliation of Overwolf (and therefore, EA) with a Zionist organization that may be misappropriating funds through a separate campaign, and misformation on this issue is most likely why the boycott has been ineffective thus far. In my opinion, we need to use the influence of well-connected creators as a tool, in order to widen the net and strengthen the impact in the community. Even if these creators don't remove their downloads, we need them to speak on this... without a fear of backlash/becoming a target themselves. Otherwise, they'll continue to just be silent until the call to boycott fades away naturally with time without any of our demands being met.
That's just my personal opinion though, and I'm definitely welcome to more ideas on how to streamline this boycott effort. As well as any more information that can be found that I didn't come across in my research. Details on demands, specific targets, boycott scheduling, etc is highly appreciated.

wait, do you have advice/resources for beginning to sew clothes? i self drafted a totebag and have made a few small bags, but am hoping to branch out
Make mockups; do lots of test fittings throughout the process; finish your seams; clip your corners and curves; stitch the most visible and trickiest bits by hand, not machine (unless you're good enough with a machine!); learn the main properties of different fabrics; when you really wanna hold your fabric in place nicely, baste rather than pin; adjust the fit via triangles and curves; it's only fabric; it's okay to fuck up; accept that you WILL fuck-up and WILL have to undo and redo things and that that is OKAY.
^ Some things I personally have benefited from and wish I'd learned earlier!
Seriously, though — I should preface by saying that I myself am also a beginner. I follow some really brilliant costumers and cosplayers here on tumblr, and I am nowhere NEAR their level. (And I would welcome any advice/resources more experienced clothes-makers would like to share!) It's only in the last few years that I've gotten more into sewing, starting mainly with alterations of existing clothes and then moving into making things from scratch. I've figured out a lot just via trial and error — as well as by taking existing garments apart and looking at how they're made.
But, honestly, my main resource has been YouTube. There are tons of tutorials on there for specific techniques and garments, of course, and I do watch those. But I've also learned a LOT from the more entertainment-focused sewing content — the ones where the sewist isn't really trying to teach you how to make something, just making something cool and showing how they made it. There's so much knowledge to be gleaned just from watching them work and listening to them talk about why they used a certain stitch, how they resolved a fit issue, etc.
Some favorite creators include:
TheClosetHistorian: Makes stunning vintage and high-end fashion; big proponent of drafting your own patterns, and has tutorials on how to do so as well as on things like darts and seam finishing. Plus I find her voice and aesthetic very soothing.
Bernadette Banner: Focuses on using period-appropriate methods to create her garments (mainly 19th and early 20th c.), which means a lot of hand sewing. I've picked up a lot of hand-sewing tips and tricks from watching her work.
Vincent Briggs: Mainly 18th century garments, with very excellent tutorials on decorative buttons and buttonholes in particular. And how to make an adorable leaf-kerchief!
Morgan Donner: All-around crafter with a particular focus on medieval garments and other aspects of medieval culture. Does lots of non-sewing craft content I enjoy as well.
Rachel Maksy: Less focused on technical sewing skills and more so on costume making and other crafting, but she's very inventive and fun to watch and shows a lot of creative problem solving.
And a few specific tutorials:
Circle skirt drafting by Mariah Pattie
Making a split-side adjustable skirt by Ash L G
Seam finishing by Evelyn Wood
There are honestly too many good channels to list... Sewstine; The Stitchery; Nicole Rudolph; Shannon Makes...... Beyond the sheer entertainment value, what I really love about watching all of these creators is that each of them has their own particular specialties, preferred ways of doing things, etc. Some of them went to fashion school, some are self-taught. Some are very technical and precise, some of them work organically and messily. And I think that just as the measured, detail-oriented approach of someone like Bernadette Banner offers much instruction, so too (in a very different way) does the chaotic approach of someone like Micarah Tewers, who perhaps can make garment construction seem less intimidating by demonstrating that you don't have to precisely follow a step-by-step guide.
Right now, I'm almost done (SO CLOSE TO DONE) making a skirt. It's not a crazy difficult skirt, but it does have pockets, pleats, gathers, a zipper, an attached waistband with elastic, and a plaid pattern to consider the direction and matching of, so it required thought and planning. I had originally been planning to make the whole skirt using a hand-me-down McCalls pattern, but then decided I didn't like the fullness of that skirt, so I took only the pockets from that pattern and drafted the skirt itself using the circle skirt tutorial linked above. I used a quarter-circle with a 175% waist measurement for the front half, which is pleated, and a 150% waist measurement for the back half, which is gathered. I did frequent test fittings and had to take apart and redo a couple things. And whenever I wasn't exactly sure how to do something, I'd just Google it and find lots of help.
Like I said, some of my mutuals on here are far better at this than I am, and I feel a little silly talking about my skirt like it's some grand accomplishment and a little unqualified to offer resources/advice. But I guess I'm hoping that my experience can still be helpful precisely because I am still a beginner and am very much still in the phase of figuring it all out. And my method is basically to take in information and inspiration from a lot of different sources, find the courage to try things out, learn from my mistakes and try try again.
Congrats on your tote bags, anon, and best wishes on your sewing journeys to come!

20 Fanfic Questions
I was tagged by @jazzforthecaptain for this right when I'm supposed to be going to bed. -_-U
How many works do you have on AO3?
172 currently posted, more to be imported and uploaded shortly....
What’s your total AO3 words count?
716,745 as of right now....
What fandoms do you write for?
Whew..... uh, lessee, Supernatural, Marvel Comics/MCU, Harry Potter, Animorphs, Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Little Mermaid, Gundam Wing, Smallville/DC Comics, Highlander, Star Trek, The Sentinel, Stargate SG1, Star Wars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sailor Moon, Tomorrow People (New/90s Series), Fullmetal Alchemist, Gravitation, Yami no Matsuei, Weiss Kreuz, Ranma ½, Pirates of the Caribbean, Good Omens, Firefly, Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings et al, Daria, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Phineas and Ferb, Danny Phantom, ElfQuest, Rise of the Guardians, How To Train Your Dragon, El Goonish Shive (don't tell Dan!), Transformers, YURI!!! On Ice, Speed Racer..... uh, yeah, I think I'm forgetting some... or not mentioning them for Reasons.......
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
More Worthy Than Believed (MCU, Gen, Tony-centric, vague IronHawk)
Only Different In The Details (MCU, IronHawk plus Avengers ensemble)
Hel Hath Nick Fury (MCU, Nick Fury/Hela aka Darcy Lewis)
The Shadow You Cast Over Me (MCU, Gen, Tony-centric, unrequited Steve/Tony)
Broken Hallelujah (Supernatural, Sastiel)
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Short answer is that I try to? I want to respond to comments, but sometimes I'm out of spoons and it takes me a while to work up the spoons to answer, and sometimes the comment is a demand for an update on a fic I just posted a new chapter for and I lose the motivation to write anything at all for a couple days because gods, I'm thrilled y'all enjoy my stuff but damned if I've usually got the time and energy to write fanfic around Real Life!
What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably a toss up between The Shadow You Cast Over Me and A Wish Your Heart Makes. (If you didn't guess one of those, uh, well... ~offers tissues~)
What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Oh, hell, good luck trying to pin that one down! Seriously, I can't pick, go look for yourself.
Do you get hate on fics?
Not...exactly? I mean, I once got some dumbass complaining in the comments of my clearly tagged WinterIron soulmate AU that he wanted to read WinterWindow and "not this gay shit", which, dude, we're on AO3, not FanFiction.Net, the fic was very clearly tagged and you still clicked on it, so you reading "that gay shit" is all on you, buddy. Also, same fic, someone decided that because I talk about Natasha and Yasha being familiar with borscht that I was a Russian Imperialist? I dunno, people are weird.
Do you write smut. If so what kind?
.....Yes, hello, any kind of smut I write that's actually explicit rather than kept vague or Fade To Black has a separate psued. Click at your own risk, not that I have much posted there yet.
Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Hmmmm.... Do I have to stick with fics that I've posted and can provide links to? I've got a LOT of crossovers that either aren't posted yet or haven't been moved over to AO3 and tracking down the links on the wider web and defunct archives is difficult.... so, I'll just cop to Lethally Blonde, the MCU/stealth-Tropic Thunder crossover, for right now.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Sort of? Someone stole a segment of "More Worthy Than Believed" wholesale and tried to pass it off as theirs a few years back, but it got discovered pretty quickly by folks who'd read the original.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
I don't know? I think someone offered to translate one of my older fics once, but I don't know if anything came of it.
Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
I'm listed as a collaborator for The Cadbury'verse, but aside from Bang collabs and the vague plans @rodiniaorzetalthepenquin and I have plotted about at three AM that result in one or the other of us writing fics in the same narrative universe, I don't have any posted cowritten fics.
What’s your all-time favourite ship?
~thousand-yard-stare at the above list of fandoms~ .....could you be more specific?
What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Dude, I just updated Only Different In The Details with a new chapter and the last update previously was in 2013! If the fic isn't marked as complete, it'll get finished eventually. (Or I'll die, but it's more likely the fic gets finished before then.)
What are your writing strengths?
World-building. I seriously LOVE world-building, and I really enjoy writing full AUs that really let me flex that!
What are your writing weaknesses?
.....forward planning. I can't seem to do it with any kind of reliability or regularity, and trying to write an outline is a scholastic exercise in futility, not to mention all the times I've gone looking for notes or scene snippets I could have sworn I wrote down or typed into chat somewhere and apparently sharing the vivid fever dream images in my head was yet another dream. On the other hand, I remember three different versions of those scenes in vivid technicolor, so I just have to pick one instead of starting three new WIPs.....
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
This is honestly why I'm slowly teaching myself seven different languages, and you can bet I prefer having a beta for those segments who is a native speaker. (Harder for Latin, Quenya, Vulcan, and Enochian, admittedly....)
First fandom you wrote for?
Trick question. The first fandom I ever wrote for and posted online was Animorphs, but I was writing fanfic as far back as second grade for Disney movies and the Sweet Valley Universe nominally by Francis Pascal. (Yes, I still have those notebooks. No, they will not be transcribed and archived online.)
Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
Always the fic I haven't written yet. Always. What I think is my favorite now will not likely still be my favorite next year, maybe not even next month! Hell, I can't even pick a favorite out of the ones I have posted to AO3 right this second! But then, isn't that part of the fun part of writing?
Tagging.... @rodiniaorzetalthepenquin , @karategirl80 , @slytherkins , @youarentreadingthis , @sageclover61 , @hyrulehearts1123 , and @mrswhozeewhatsis . Have fun!

[20 Question Fic Writer Game]
Thanks for the tag @eomma-jpeg! This looks fun. :D
How many works do you have on AO3?
Twenty, if you can believe it, omg. Though, tbf, most of them are just little oneshots, lol. I only have a few chapter fics to my name. XD
What is your AO3 word count?
It's apparently 189,048... Which feels like far too much for what I've written, but okay. 😅
What fandoms do you write for?
As of right now, the only fics I've posted are (mostly) for Detroit: Become Human and (one singular one) for Trigun. I've also maybe started a few things for Genshin Impact and The Silmarillion, but nothing even anywhere near done, lol. But maybe one day!
What are your top five fics by kudos?
The Nearness of You (981)
A Simple Equation (847)
In a Name (604)
we're just two lost souls (swimming in a fish bowl) (501)
In a Flash (309)
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Oh yes. I love getting comments, they mean so much to me? Even if it takes me awhile, I will respond to your comment!
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Pft, well, right now, it's a story called Reflections that I never finished writing. XD I left it off on a really uhhhhh... horrible cliffhanger... and haven't updated since... >_> But yeah, as a general rule, I don't do angsty endings. No matter what I put a character through, they're getting out in the end.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Absolutely The Nearness of You. Lol, the entire goal of that fic was to be like... the anti-angst. XD The DBH fandom really loves going dark and I was deliberately setting out to write something happy to try and counteract it all, omg. Not that it doesn't have a few serious moments to it of course but, overall, it just a light, fluffy romcom with (I think) a pretty funny ending, so yeah. XD
Do you get hate on fics?
Not for my fics in particular, per se, but I've had some run-ins with folks who don't like the ships I write for... Which isn't fun. >_>
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Nah, no smut for me. Tbh, even writing kissing makes me squirm, I am so ace. XD I think I would implode if I even tried, wow.
Do you write crossovers?
I've... dabbled. Nothing I've ever published or anything, but I've had a lot of crossover ideas and stuff? And I've attempted to write a few, but nothing that ever got even close to finished, lol. Crossovers are fun to think about though. XD
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not a fic, no, but an idea? Uh, I used to get very elaborate with my prompts, with a lot of detail and stuff. Basically like mini outlines. (See my pinned message on my blog if you're curious, I have a whole list of them up there. XD) But yeah, one of them I shared with a former friend who I ended up having a huge falling out with. Well, they eventually wrote and published the idea awhile after we stopped being friends and like... fine, that's alright and all, but it sure would've been nice to get some credit for it... I don't care that they used it, only that any association with me is completely absent from the fic. :/
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, not to my knowledge!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nothing published, lol. I've attempted one before (with that same former friend I mentioned above), but that obviously didn't pan out. However, now I am writing a much more successful attempt with my buddy, @eomma-jpeg! So finger's crossed that eventually gets posted one of these days, I love it so much.
What's your all-time favourite ship?
All-time fave?!?!?! Oh no.... How can I pick just one? Listen, you're just gonna have to deal with me listing one for each of my main fandoms rn, because I can't possible choose. For DBH, definitely Convin? (Connor/Gavin Reed) (Though damn, North60 is a close second these days. 👀) For Genshin... Ugh, I'm such a slut for Chili. (Childe/Zhongli) And for Trigun... Ugh, it's gotta be Millyons, right? (Milly Thompson/Millions Knives) I adore all these ships sm. 😭😭😭
What's a WIP you'd like to finish but doubt you ever will?
GD DBH COFFEESHOP FIC THAT I'VE HAD FIVE CHAPTERS WRITTEN FOR FOR LIKE THREE YEARS NOW BUT CAN'T FUCKIN FINISH, UGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😡
What are your writing strengths?
Ugh, geez, I don't know? Uh... I think I'm good at... description? Or like, setting the scene? I've also gotten a few compliments on my action scenes before, too, which I was kinda blown away by cuz I didn't think they were anything special, lol! But... yeah, maybe those?
What are your writing weaknesses?
Lololololololol, how about actually writing?!?!?! 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 It'd be grand if I could actually do it, omggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!
No, but other than that... I think I tend to rush? I get so fatigued by the idea of stretching something out too long so I think I tend to just cut right to the chase in my fics. I don't much like to meander or get sidetracked with B plots or anything. My fics are... compact, let's say. 😅
I also feel like my characterization can really veer off sometimes. I feel like sometimes I default to idealized versions of the characters I write instead of writing them as they actually are.
I make a lot of typos and stupid grammar mistakes and, despite me obsessively editing everything I write before posting, it seems like a lot of them still make it through. 😫
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I have... used little snippets of language in some of my fics before? But the kicker is that I found someone who actually speaks that language and asked them to help me with that, so idk, is that cheating? XD
I myself and a filthy monolingual, so I couldn't write a full-on fic in a different language or anything. But some phrases thrown in here or there for color/emphasis/character building? Yeah, I could probably do that.
First fandom you wrote for?
Oh, this is a loaded question, lol! So, first fandom I ever published a fic for was DBH back in 2019. But you'd be a fool to think that was my first attempt. XD Honestly? I think my first try was like a Suikoden fic back in... Idk, '99 or 2000? I was a child and it sucked hardcore, but y'know. XD I'm so glad my anxiety didn't prompt me to publish anything I wrote thought, omggggg. The mountain of garbage I would be sitting atop now if I did... XD
Favourite fic you've ever written?
Ah, man, it's The Lark Ascending. Without a doubt. That fic... It's both the longest thing I've ever written and the most personal. I drew from a lot of my own experiences when writing it and it helped me process some of the shit I was going through at the time and I just think it turned out... really nice. I went back and reread it not too long ago and I just... I adore it.
It's also one of the most accessible fics I've written, if anyone is curious? The whole concept of it centers around the characters as elemental spirits and I use no canon names or places or anything through the entire main story. It's the only thing I've done that's tagged with both the fandom that inspired it, but also Original Work. Because yeah, it basically is a completely original novel tbh.
The downside of it being super accessible is that it didn't really catch on in the fandom it was tagged for (DBH). It is still to the day one of my sadder failures, just because I put *so much* of myself into it? And I truly believe it has my best writing out of everything I've done, too. I went super stylized and almost poetic with it and I really tried to modulate how I wrote to match the elements of the characters I was portraying. Honestly, I'm so proud of it and I just really wish it had had a better reception than it garnered, but oh well. What's done is done.
Thank you again for the tag, @eomma-jpeg, this was a lot of fun!
As for me, I will tag... @woppy42 @ewates @sharysisnhmoonshadow @connor-sent-by-cyberlife @detroitbecomeonline @titaniumpsychologist @nock-and-bolt and anyone else who wants to pile in here! XD

Cars/Mechs
Explicit sexual content
Gore/Dismemberment
Please note that there are exceptions to both of the above categories. If you are unsure of where you stand, please feel free to email me and we can discuss the specifics, though I reserve the right to reject any commission for any reason. Thank you for your understanding.
How to Reach Out/What to Expect: If you're interested in a commission, please email me at [email protected], outlining the details of what you want. I'll look it over and quote you a price, which may be slightly higher than those listed above depending on how difficult or complex your request is. When you confirm that you're happy with my offer, I'll send you an invoice.
Once payment is received, I'll do my best to send you the first preliminary sketch within 3 business days, via email. After that, I'll try to send further updates within 4 business days of receiving feedback on the previous stage. If it looks like I won't be able to meet these deadlines, I'll let you know. Generally speaking I try to finish commissions within 30 days of receiving payment, but that's not always feasible depending on how many revision passes are required and how quick the commissioner is at responding.
By default I retain the right to post the finished commission, albeit resized and watermarked, to my social media, though I will credit you as the commissioner. You may opt out of this, and I will prompt you to either do so or give a means by which to credit you when the commission is completed.
Revision Policy: After we’ve decided on a price, I generally like to send over one very rough sketch to confirm that I’m on the right track with pose/composition/expression and so on, at which point extensive revisions can be made at no penalty to you. I’ll keep sending progress sketches after this, but at this point any revisions that require me to redraw more than half the piece will cost an extra $5, so make sure we’re on the same page before then.
Payment Policy: I only accept payment through PayPal - however, do not send me money directly. After we have discussed the details of your commission I will send you an invoice. Payment of half the cost of your commission is due up front, with the rest to be paid upon receiving the finished piece. If something prevents me from completing your commission or you change your mind before I've sent any sketches, I'll refund all but $5 of your payment.
You MAY:
Repost your commissioned piece to your social media or use it as an icon, as long as I'm credited as the artist in the post or somewhere on your profile.
Color sketches or pay other artists to color sketches you've commissioned from me, as long as I'm credited as having done the sketch.
You MAY NOT:
Use my art to train AI art generators
Use my art as an NFT (Non-Fungible Token)
Resell my art in any form, including as prints or other merchandise, unless you've discussed it with me prior to paying.
Pay in any form of cryptocurrency

Hey! I was curious about how you enjoyed Luke's second birthday card as the snippets I've seen of it are kind of steamy, so I'm wondering if anything actually happens in it. I'd see for myself but I'm saving for another card unfortunately.
Thank you in advance!
hi anon! i havent played through my own SSR Dark Ripple yet but i did watch it in advanced when the card came out last year on cn server and the story is seared in my memory HAHA
(DISCLAIMER: take all of these with a grain of salt tho, bc it has been a whole year, and idk if some things were changed from the translation last year!)
long story short: no, nothing spicy Actually happens (and by spicy i mean "fucking", and by Actually i mean "written into the story with absolutely no doubt that fucking is what they did"), as those steamy moments are largely up to interpretation and/or cut to the next scene pretty promptly.
the steamy moments really are not the focus of the card's overall story, and are instead like....seasoning sprinkled around
for a more detailed rundown of the steamy moments (which will inevitably contain some spoilers) ive listed them under the cut :D
this card involves luke undercover as a cold, intimidating, and even cruel persona who goes by the alias "Raven" (which.....my god luke, u couldnt even think of a fake name that isnt ur codename? jHVKJAHSVKDFJAH) and mc joins the fray of this undercover mission as raven's arm candy who hes very protective over
the particular steamy scenes i think you could be talking about:
early the card story, to establish his cover character more raven!luke eithrer [EDIT: THIS IS A STORY CHOICE BASIS] 1) makes mc get on her knees and clean up a drink she spilled on his shoes so that they make a scene. or 2) pushes mc to the couch and pins her there, quietly telling her to resist so that they make a scene.
later on, they then go to a room alone to discuss case things more freely, but due to the fear of the room being bugged and surveilled, luke and mc have to stay very close. theres some talk of a mirror that Could be a two-way mirror, and theyre eventually interrupted by the Big Bad of this story when he goes into the room. it is this moment where mc straddles luke, so they wouldnt look suspicious like they were talking about the case and instead were in the middle of a passionate moment
later later on, luke starts getting a headache/fever which are side effects of a drug he took before the mission. this drug upped his alcohol tolerance so he could still drink during the night (and thus not be suspicious), but he does have to deal with those symptoms. mc doesnt like luke having any symptoms tho, so luke goes to the bathroom which hAS NO DOOR (????? WHO DESIGNED THIS MANSION AHSFVKJASH) and goes into the bathtub wiTH HIS SHIRT STILL ON (???? LUKE????) and he has a moment there thats teasing cuz mc was like "i wont peek!" and luke was like "im not bothered by that" and then he gets in the bathtub
the bathtub scene is Literally Steamy, because the water is a bit warm and theres literal steam everywhere. mc goes into the bathroom because she wants to help luke, and luke says something like "stimuli elsewhere can help distract from the pain" and then mc provides him Stimuli Elsewhere
again, largely left to interpretation Where that Elsewhere Stimuli is
lastly, in the scene towards the very end, mc and luke are back in their childhood home and for some reason (i forgot...i need to read through my own card soon i swear) mc is sitting on a table and luke is very close
given all of these, there are several points where a lot of thirsty fans (me, it's me, im thirsty fans, but tHERE ARE OTHERS TOO HAJKFVSKJHF) have filled in some blanks as moments where things couldve gotten intimate. but again, since it's not written undoubtedly in the story itself, it's left to interpretation, and so in my eyes, it doesnt truly count as fucking actually happen
schrodinger's steam, is what i'll call this phenomenon HAHJSDVFKJS
i hope this helps! :D

Okay, so just as a preface to what I'm going to say, this is not a 'no one is RPing with me, no one is sending memes' post, that's not what this is at all. But I have found, lately, over the past six months or so, a lack of replies, a lack of continuing threads (aside from a few of the regulars, whom I see and appreciate! Don't worry!), as well as a lack of any likes on starter calls no matter what time I post them, nor do memes get sent very often at all. This is very different to when I used to get a lot of interactions, or reaching out, or responses to reaching out, to the point I often had to apologise for taking long to get back to people due to getting through a long list; this is not a brag, it's a point I need to make for the rest of this post.
Now, I know the downturn in activity is partly due to the fact I haven't been able to peruse the dash very much lately, but I can't help noticing that this blog was at its busiest when CAOS was still airing, or had only just been cancelled. It's now been quite a few years and there are no longer frequent CAOS muses on this site, or people with CAOS crossover verses. And I think, for a lot of people, they can see Lilith as being only within the CAOS universe due to her role in it and perhaps hesitate, or think 'I'd probably have to plot for that one and I don't have time right now' etc etc. Or maybe I'm totally off the mark and my dash has just had many activity deaths, I don't know, haha.
But just in case I am right about the reasons for the downturn in activity, I'm going to work on making the Order of Hecate my default verse, and tweak and emphasise the details a little to make it easier for everyone and anyone to find reasons or easy premises to interact with Lilith.
Basically, my Order of Hecate verse is just one where Lilith chooses to stay with the coven rather than rule Hell, and was originally created to open up options of premises for interacting with anyone from Greendale without having to remain in part 1 and part 2 timelines. She is still the First Witch in this universe, still the former Queen of Hell etc, but the fact she'd be living in the mortal realm and having to blend amongst mortals just as the Spellmans do means she'd have more variety in potential dynamics, more reasons to interact with random muses rather than just supernatural or myologically based ones, and perhaps will make people feel more comfortable or that it's easier for muses of other fandoms and muses that are OCs to interact too.
So yeah, once I've made it all official and tweaked and emphasised and gone into more details on that verse, I'll make a post on here, and I'll add a little pinned note on my blog about it being the default verse.
Either it will solve the problem, or I'll have completely misfired and realised the problem is me and my activity times.

MAINS/EXCLUSIVE/AFFILIATES CALL
So I've been in the process of working on a google site page for MAINS / EXCLUSIVE / AFFILIATES for a hot minute and I'm getting ready to start adding people to it!
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN JOEY?
I'm glad you asked!! Essentially depending on which one you are will determine WHAT it means, but across the board it'll mean the following:
Prioritizing those threads & plots for my sanity
It usually means that plotting will be a huge part of our writing so either we HAVE plotted or are in the process of building out solid plots / dynamics
Replies ( memes or threads or otherwise ) will be posted as soon as they are finished / with priority in queue
It doesn't mean I'll ignore other stuff, it just means most likely threads will be queued unless otherwise stated / discussed
IN THE CASE OF MAINS
It means the aforementioned above and a place in the mains section of course. It'll make also mean if your muse is canon then they will be the primary version of that muse I write with ( doesn't mean no dupes, just that one is the one I have the most focus on due to plotting )
In the case of OCS, this usually means that OC has a significant role / presence in one or more of my ocs canon and I plan to keep it that way and continue developing
IN THE CASE OF EXCLUSIVES
Like with above mentioned it generally means that the development between our muses has been so impactful that they are firmly solidified that they are essentially the ONLY version of that character I can write with in the case of canons. Meaning I will not likely follow / interact with duplicates.
In the case of OCS I will be faceclaim exclusive with that OC meaning I won't really follow or write with OCs that share that faceclaim.
IN THE CASE OF AFFILIATES
This will likely be reserved for blogs I have done extremely in depth and detailed plotting with to the point that it ALTERS MY CANON in some way shape or form. Affiliates will also be listed on my pinned post and it will be strongly encouraged that people FOLLOW those blogs as well as my own.
Give this a like if you'd be interested in being on it just so I know who else to add !! :]
