[Episode One] First Impressions.

We end the night by sharing a Dessert Course, full of local fare and Simstagram-worthy snacks, with House Three!

What a way to end a whirlwind of a night! The relaxed and sociable atmosphere that our contestants of House Three carried through their tea and sweets was a blessing to our tuckered-out Bachelor, who thoroughly enjoyed their company! Looks like there might be one sim he wants to know a little better, though... 👀

this was such a fun group to watch interact! you can see that jiro was a surprising highlight of the night, constantly standing up to keep his fellow contestants entertained! (which was equally hilarious because everyone besides dan became bored with their conversations at some point)

absolutely none of them wanted to sit down, but they all were autonomously clustering into little chat groups all night, it was adorable!

nolan and jiro are already at 35 points of friendship?? they vibed really well together, and nolan loved all of jiro's mixology practice!

zayden and adrian would not let anyone else sit next to dan. he kept bouncing back and forth interacting with them, it was as though zayden would ask a question, dan would answer, and then adrian would ask him something! man's got a kink in his neck now y'all

jasper kept entertaining the group with "outrageous stories" that had them all laughing!

francis kept getting overwhelmed by the amount of people in the room (he developed the "fear of crowded spaces" quirk during gameplay, poor baby) but suraj kept comforting him

suraj discovered he "likes complaints" which i am manifesting as him being a Listener(tm) dkhffdkhd

i want to ground them all from those god damn future cubes, they ALL brought one out at some point during the night jkfhdf we love a social adapter!

i cannot believe we got here, folks. looking at this last group of contestants sitting here, enjoying each other's company, knowing that the group dates and first real rose ceremony is coming up next... fkdhfjsdkjfh

Okay first of all, these two would try to win you over IN COMPLETELY OPPOSITE WAYS.

Lance is, of course, over the top and very romantic and kind of cliche but so considerate and thoughtful and sweet.

Keith will be more nonchalant and mysterious, trying to use his skills and talents to impress you. He’s the type to slowly win you over by being very genuine and honest.

It started when Lance threw a pick up line your way and not only was the line terrible…but you actually laughed at it. It brought some pink to your cheeks as well. They both noticed that.

Lance was very smug about the fact that he made you giggle and blush.

Keith was a little annoyed at first, thinking Lance was just being his usual obnoxious self. So Keith just kept trying to make moves on you in his own way.

One day, Lance walked into the training room to see you and Keith sitting beside each other on the floor, breathing heavily as if you’d just decided to take a break. He couldn’t really hear what Keith was saying but you looked very focused, very into the conversation and you two were sitting just a little bit too close for his liking.

It’s like they think the other person has a better chance with you so they try to switch it up and copy each other. Lance thinks Keith’s ‘mysterious bad boy’ persona is something you’re into. Keith thinks you find happiness in all the silly, goofy things Lance does. So they both try to switch it up in hopes of making you fall for them. Does that make sense?

Imagine Keith trying to use a pick up line on you and failing miserably. He’s probably sweating through his shirt and his mouth is dry bc he’s so close to you, he can smell your shampoo. He’d end up stuttering and then getting really pissed at himself for looking dumb in front of you. May go back to his room and pout if he felt things didn’t go well.

Now imagine Lance trying to be all soft spoken and mysterious, trying to act cool. Lance trying not to talk too much is the equivalent of him holding his breath. It’s only a matter of time before he breaks character and says some dumb, cheesy shit that has you rolling your eyes. He awkwardly shuffles away to his room and also pouts bc he feels like he’s just loud and annoying.

The boys got into a yelling match about it once. The pot just boiled over and all you could do was watch.

That was their very shitty, joint confession of their feelings for you- them screaming about who likes you more, who liked you first, who you’re more compatible with, ect ect blah blah blah

Shiro sits them both down for a long chat and by the end of it, the boys have come to terms with the fact that they both like you and not only is it your choice who you’d want to be with, but there’s a lot of other things to be worried about rn. They shouldn’t, and they won’t, pressure you.

Buuttttt…they do keep up some of the same things they like to do with you.

Keith still trains with you often (and he really enjoys helping you with your stance/posture bc he gets to be touchy✨)

Lance still invites you into his room to play video games (and he always seems out of breath when you sit so close to him, your arm touching his)

They try their best to control their temper around you and they try not to be around when you’re with the other person. They don’t need to see you being all close and personal with someone who isn’t them. :,(

The boys just continue to be their normal selves with you. They figure you should get to know them, the real them, before you make any decisions.

he tries to ignore it but then he hears you crying and knows he can’t 

comes to the kitchen to find you crying over the broken cup

realizes you’re drunk immediately and helps you clean up

"You'll like him, Professor!" A voice insisted, tone nagging as Remus turned around a corner. "He's funny!"

George grins brightly, "a date! Can you believe her? She's turned down ten very good looking men (They'd asked for Ginny and Hermione's approval before presenting them to you) just for Professor Snape."

"First of all, Snape is a fun person to be around." There's that pit in his stomach again, threatening to swallow him up and spit him back out. "Secondly, he's my friend. And thirdly, if you're this insistent on trying to find me a date then do it sometimes after your OWLs, I don't want you to waste your time on this instead of studying."

The twins laughs loudly, finding it hilarious that you thought they'd study for OWLs —they did end up studying at the end of the year, but they have a few months left and wanted to use it for something more fun. "Do you like Professor Snape, Professor?"

You choke, baffled at the question. "No, what gave you that impression?"

"Well you're quick to defend him," Fred says.

"And you're always with him," George adds.

Then simultaneously: "Excuse us for assuming that you fancied him."

"I don't fancy Severus," you sigh. And Remus tries not to make it obvious just relief he felt by those words. "I'm just not interested in dating right now."

"Hmm," Fred hums thoughtfully, "how about Professor Lupin then?" He's looking over at Remus now, glossing over the second portion of your retort. "Do you fancy him?"

"He's my friend, Fred."

"That wasn't his question," George says, smirking. "Bloody hell, you do like him!"

Childish. That's what this conversation was. Still, Remus can't find it in himself to not get excited by the twins next words. "Professor Lupin, are you free this weekend?"

Remus turns to look at you, noting how you're avoiding his eyes as he did so. "No, why?"

"Would you like to go on a date?"

You're peeking at him from below your lashes and he pretends not to know that you're doing so by glancing between the twins instead.

How did Phantom ruin ALW and Sarah Brightman's marriage?

That's a sadder story than the Sunset Boulevard drama, unfortunately.

So, Sarah Brightman started out on the disco scene as a teen, where she was part of a group who had... this single. That was back when Star Wars: A New Hope had just come out, so you had a lot of space-inspired... stuff floating around. Yeah, let's put it that way.

Eventually, since disco was on its way out by the end of the 70s, she switched the musical theatre, and auditioned for a little musical called Cats.

(WHY DOES IT ALWAYS COME BACK TO CATS. OMG. NEXT THING I'LL KNOW I'LL FIND OUT JAMES CORDEN'S MOTHER GAVE BIRTH TO HIM DURING A CATS PERFORMANCE OR SOMETHING.)

So, ALW did not notice her during her time in Cats - it was later, in 1984, when she was in a production of a children's opera called Nightingale, which he saw because it was getting very good reviews. At the time, ALW was already considering making a musical based on The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux... but here's the thing. There were actually a few attempts at making a musical about Phantom. The most recent one at that time was Ken Hill's, which was playing in London in 1984. It was doing well-enough, to the point ALW went to see it with Cameron Mackintosh (for those who don't know, he's the producer for Les Mis and Phantom, and also Satan), they met up with Ken Hill, and they were allegedly impressed enough by it that they wanted to revamp the show and put it on a bigger stage.

EXCEPT THAT NEVER HAPPENED, AND ALW JUST WENT AHEAD AND WROTE HIS OWN THING, AND KEN HILL NEVER HEARD OF HIM EVER AGAIN.

(Side note: I've also seen a story going around that Sarah herself was approached for Ken Hill's musical, but I'd have to confirm that.)

Anyway, what happened is that ALW and Sarah really hit off, and when their relationship became public, it was all over the tabloids because they were both married at the time. So they left their respective spouses for each other, and got married not long after, and that's when the preparation for Phantom really started picking up.

If you read the novel and seen the musical, Christine does undergo a personality and appearance change: she's blonde in the novel, but she's brunette in the musical because Sarah is a brunette, and they made her a lot shyer and meek to fit her personality (and limited acting range according to some) better. What ALW wanted to do was to present his wife as a triple threat - she could sing and she had a classically trained soprano voice, she could dance (she was a trained ballet dancer and could go en pointe), and she could act (YMMV on that).

They presented the musical for the first time at the Sydmonton festival in 1985. For those who don't know, it's basically a vanity festival ALW hosts at his place where he presents his projects. It was VERY different from what it was going to be later. If you're ever curious, this is what it looked like (sorry for the terrible quality, it was a bootleg after all).

But all was not well in paradise, because making Phantom was a very grueling process for both of them. ALW was convinced the musical was going to flop, they'd argue, and Sarah would end up in tears more often than not. (And that's without mentioning the drama that happened with the lyrics, and with Hal Prince, and with Steve Harley who was supposed to play the Phantom before Michael Crawford came in, and how some people in the crew nicknamed Michael Crawford "Joan Crawford" because he was a bit of a diva, and I'm skipping a bunch lmao)

So Phantom opened in London in 1986 to great success, and even greater success on Broadway in 1988, but by then, the marriage was virtually over. Sarah and ALW separated in 1990, and her "goodbye gift" was starring in his follow-up musical, Aspects of Love... which flopped. And it's kind of a shame because her acting got a lot better in that (probably because of her own lived experiences lol).

Sarah has been doing pretty fine since, she had a successful solo singing career, and she almost went in space but had to cancel (still sad about that). As I mentioned before, I think ALW is not really over it (despite having re-married since, lmao) and LND is a result of that.

While I'm at it, that reminds me that LND came very close to never coming to the light, because in 2007, ALW's new kitten, Otto (WHICH IS THE BEST NAME FOR A KITTEN EVER), basically pawed around his electronic piano and deleted all of the music he had written for LND. I wish I was making this up, but I'm not.

I told you. It always comes back to cats.

It was Saturday night, and Wooyoung was mindlessly scrolling through twitter when all of a sudden, you. It was a mindless tweet concerning your newest comeback.

"OMG Y/n (or nickname) looks so good in this comeback please step on me!!!" Usually, when things like that popped up on his feed he would just scroll past it without a single thought. But attached to the tweet was a video. A fancam… of you. And to say the least, the dance was a little… provocative. Sensual.

Wooyoung doesn't recall how many times he watched that exact fancam, but he knows that after that things weren't ever the same. That night he searched and scoured every source of media he had downloaded. Youtube, twitter, google, etc. If you had a favorite show, he found out about. Books, clothes, height, weight, and even more was all discovered by Wooyoung. It felt right. Your group, the concept, and even more so you.

Jung Wooyoung was your biggest fan. Almost everyone knew it. He posted every clip he could find of you, bought every album, every product you had used or mentioned, and he even got into dancing too. He wasn't very good at first but he practiced day and night in the hopes of one day impressing you. His one and only idol. For you, he'd do anything. He'd go anywhere. And he did.

This was your first world concert, and you bet your ass he pulled out multiple devices trying to get front-row seats.

So there he was, standing next to the barricade cheering and screaming your name as loud as he could.

He dressed in his sexiest clothing, did his makeup, his hair, all for you. And it was all worth it when he finally saw you. Your beauty was blinding, and he was frozen. Stuck to floor as his eyes looked at every strand of hair and every flawless flaw he could find adorned on you. You were perfect.

Wooyoung screamed your name as loud as he could muster and you noticed! You looked at him! Your eyes showed him that affection that he knew know one else deserved. You loved him just as he loved you!

Throughout the night he continued to scream various "i love you!"" and "Y/n!" until his voice grew horse. Even then he stilled admired your figure and still whispered how much he loved you to himself.

After the concert unfortunatly ended, it was now time for the meet and greet. In all honesty, he could care less about the other members. It was you he wanted. You, you, you.

And so there he was standing in a god awful, but worthwhile, line filled with stupid squealing girls all excited to meet their idol. But Wooyoung was different. First of all, he was the only guy there. And second, he knew that you and him… were destined. I mean the way you looked at him as he chanted your name he knew from that moment and even before then you loved him too.

These people around him could not compare to what he is. To what he can provide for you. He's seen all the interviews where the host tries to tug out who your ideal person was but you never said a thing. Maybe you were waiting for the perfect someone. The perfect man to love you, hold you, worship you.

And that was him.

You've been waiting for him. Just as he with you.

Lost in thought he pictured a very clear image. A house. You dressed in silk pj's asleep in your bed. Your shared bed. The sun shining on your face. Wooyoung could see it. Pictured it. All. So. Cleary. He would lean in and kiss you. A smile would bless your face subconsciously as you felt your soulmate near. Wooyoung would climb in and cuddle your form. He would feel and touch you all over. Grabbing and petting your body flushed against him.

He could be your everything. He would worship, please, and praise you to the highest extent possible. Wooyoung would obey your every command. Walk through fire if you so desired.

At night he pictured you commanding him. Obscene positions. Erotic sounds. His tongue on your body. Your hand around his neck as you called him pretty names. Wooyoung grew hot. His insides seemed to grow tingly as the images flash through his mind, as well as a sudden twitch down in his pants.

Wooyoung walked up to the first member of your group and did some casual talking. But it was you he was waiting for. The closer he got the harder he found it to breathe.

He was aching. His heart, his chest, his insides…

This is the moment he was going to tell everyone. The moment he met the love of his life…

His mind was elsewhere. On you. Wooyoung could feel your presence. Your aura. It was suffocating. Intoxicating.

Time was up. Wooyoung got up and time seemed to move slowly. He sat down in front of you and everything went haywire.

"I love your outfit!" You said with a smile and a glimmer in your eyes. Wooyoung was rendered speechless just staring at you. He was going over every single detail he could find. And your hands… he was struggling to even breathe. Your hands looked so dainty, so vulgar…

"Are you okay?" You discreetly asked with a concerned expression on your face.

"Yes, sorry-"

"Don't be! What's your name?" You giggled as you took his hands within your own. The tingles in his stomach returned stronger and more intensly than before.

"W-Wooyoung…" He managed to whisper without moaning or sounding lewd. You smiled even wider as you looked him directly in his eyes. Wooyoung smiled and felt his face blush.

"That's a very pretty name, Wooyoung-"

"I love you."

"Thank you, Wo-"

"You’re my every thought. My every dream. My every fantasy. All I want is to hear your breath as I fall asleep. As I hold you and love you. I want to feel your warmth next to me, forever. By this point, Wooyoung was practically on top of the table with a deathly grip on your hands. His eyes were wide and his face contorted. Love? Desire? It was scaring you. Not just you but everyone else in the room. It was all silent except for the endless rambling of his "love".

You started to feel scared as he moved closer and closer. His hands slithered up to your shoulders, feeling your pulsating heartbeat that seemed to be inclining more and more with every word he dared preached.

"I love you I love you I love you I love you I love I-" He spewed out as his hands reached up further gripping your face.

"Y/n Y/n Y/n Y/n…" He whispered as he leaned in closer to your lips, his eyes shining in a dangerous light.

You tried to braced yourself but he was ripped away from you.

"NO NO NO NO-"

"GET HIM OFF!" The guard shouted as the other tried to pry him off of you like a leech. But Wooyoung was still holding on, tears spilling from his face, nails rooted and digging into your now red bleeding forearm.

"Y/N I LOVE YOU!" He screamed as his nails dragged against your skin as the guard pulled him off you. With the force, you fell back crying and hyperventilating. But the shouting never stopped His screeches of "Don't let them take me" and "I love you" only grew angrier and desperate. He sounded insane.

You closed your eyes and felt a pair of arms around you, holding you tightly…

"I won't let them take you from me-" Wooyoung whispered into your messy hair.

"GET HIM OFF OF ME!" And within half a second he was again yanked away from you thrashing, kicking, yelling.

"Y/N I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU!"

Those were the last words from him as multiple guards held onto his legs and arms deciding to carry him out and away from the premise. Away from you.

You watched as he was taken away, his eyes never leaving yours once. Even after a few minutes you still heard his cries and wails of your name. It was haunting. Scary. Frightening. You half expected the fanboy to come running back somehow escaping the five guards.

Your other members gathered around you on the floor embracing you and hushing your silent cries, while your manager calmed the fans down explaining that the fan meeting was now most definitely over.

You wanted to throw up. You can still hear him. Whether it was real or not it terrified you.

Wooyoung. The sick fanboy. The obsessed fan.

But it was all over. It was over now.

kinjomae analysis

DRA Yuki

Canon-speaking, Kinjomae was deliberately called back to in both games. Tsurugi fills the role of the queer survivor in dra the way that Yoruko blatantly does in sdra2 (and the protagonist dies) except, it's less obvious as a main couple because of the way linuj writes, and it also doesn't fit the way some people see stereotyped mlm characters.

Kinjo's entire life is a trauma that is so oriented on staying alone, being alone in his suffering and his profession. He particularly killed the men closest to him, (Teruya, Kouhei, threatening Utsuro, and even his father) and seeing those people die around him leaves him numb. I feel like the Yuki of the first game is another unhealthy contributor to the sad cycle of his life, but ALSO remains to be his biggest savior. Kinjo and Akane are the only characters of DRA to have both 5 free-times, their bond has always been THAT highlight level of important.

DRA Yuki tears into this unhealthy string of Tsurugi's life by literally preventing the one time he felt alone the most. In Yuki's perspective, Tsurugi is such a strong figure but still trusting himself to lean on him, it solidifies both of them and forces them to develop their situations even when Utsuro rips through the Yuki facade. They were partners in crime unknowing that one of them was a criminal, omg, they were the dear rabbit, the along came a spider, the jane and john doe,,,

Tsurugi mentions he can't trust anybody but Yuki, Tsurugi gives Yuki a pass at trying to murder him despite his rigid moral. (not without a punch or two, but impressive.) and when Yuki is on the outsides he is the connected peacekeeper to Kinjo VS. Everyone Else. They are there to hold eachother's hands so they can still reconnect onto the border of the group. Like, the way Yuki shouts main character philosophy in chapter 4 at him while he's fighting everyone else brutally at the dinner table, and once again in chapter 6.

(Teruya, then fulfils this goal of reparation with Rei after they leave the killing game, but not on the mental stability side.) Tsurugi is seemingly independant and incredibly uncontrollable due to his detachment, and yet Yuki is able to have a significant part of influence over his life; as well as the deceased Kisaragi pre-killing game.

Yuki IS and will always be the exception to him and no matter how hard he tries to escape it, it follows him till the remainder of his character arc. In the same way, Tsurugi was the kickstarter to Utsuro's new mindset too. It's the "You can't pull the trigger cause you love me", cause that's what Utsuro-Yuki is to Tsurugi. Utsuro may be the most vile villain in the world to somebody who even considered assisted self defense to be a crime on first thought, and then he STILL proceeded to not take that final shot. He didn't hesitate blowing Mikado up, who arguably wasn't the first source of despair.

anyways i think dra yuki-utsuro/tsurugi are integral, important, and good to know your hizstory

Yuki

Tsurugi would move on to be the worst man to cope in the existence of the franchise, and probably hardly ever move on after the death of DRA Yuki. If Yuki was truly dead he'd have two funerals for his two guypals, and spit on Utsuro's grave pretending not to like him. Plus that bad ending where Tsurugi just wakes up in the middle of the night in cold sweat shows what would sort of happen, he thinks about them too much. However,

Yuki was still a concept of a person who existed in the world. He's not gone, he's just someone in a different form, and still is inside the memory of Kinjo's mind that remains deteriorating. He's like, the same dude but he's in the clutches of EVIL!! and he hates evil. (Kinjo seems to catch onto Mikado's plans early on and then it only amplifies in his duty to stop Utsuro and find Yuki.)

Tsurugi's defeatist attitude to fail saving Teruya and Yuki was very much a falsetto because of the Omake 2 and I truly believe Rei was right that this was their agreed purpose.

The real Yuki has none of these shared moments that Tsurugi can look back on together, but if it was just the memories he wouldn't have acted so patronizing to Utsuro. He's affectionately looking back on the person that Utsuro was, which was just Yuki Maeda. Did Homura Akemi decide to go back in time for 10 years just so Madoka could share moments with her?? Absolutely not, and the same goes for Tsurugi Kinjo, who ran an entire organization which later adopted the name of the goal. As Mikado joked, it's "the love of your life" but it's in the most unconventional messy, dictatorial, and murderous way.

Kinjomae absolutely drives the narrative forward on Yuki's side of the story even if it's significantly relegated mostly to the end. Imagine your entire existence leaning on a few people you can't even remember, but they remember you? One dude sacrifices a guy, one girl sacrifices her body. With Tsurugi's final decrees of (semi) unconditional care for you, you finish the trial with this one-sided trauma bond and a promise to keep the survivors safe. Sora takes on all the karmic debt of Divine Luck, and peace returns in an ending that isn't really elaborated on.

ur now a fugitive awesome trans guyboss with superpowers, and you're just absolutely bawling out of your mind at this point. some blue haired dude in a wheelchair is going to die if you don't help him out with your sora-luck.

nobody talks about this enough but this is THE PERFECT set-up for a postgame friendship to develop, not only are they both survivors, this is the genuine Yuki who isn't hiding apart of an Utsuro disguise. He's alive but now in the body of someone Kinjo despised,,, he hates Akane, he refuses to acknowledge her. he loves yuki. But Yuki remembers her fondly and has to take care of the body, but he probably hates himself. not to mention the INTENSE guilt you would get from feeling anything in it or the dysphoria of even wearing/not wearing the clothes she is??? sdra2 so evil?? soruko died so kinjomae could slowburn.

There's nothing Yuki can do now but go on his quest to potentially get along with this man who is homo-erotically trauma bonded to him and got a whole-ass person killed in the process of ending Utsuro and finding the true Maeda., He also has to go atone to Yoruko and the rest of the gang. as you can see i like kinjomae i think they are a foundational element in the story of dra.

- so Tabito his mama isn’t always as supportive

- and Tabito mentioned that he was going to have a match with his friends

Jingo Raichi

- tournaments where held against school and Raichi decided that he would use a old trick

- intimidation

- because 1 he wanted people to talk about him and his school

- and 2 his team this year was terrible

- so he got his friends from other schools to talk about him and his team

- he and his team got killer nicknames like ‘sniper’ or ‘evil wizard’😍 (in my defense it was every cool back then)

- it went so far that there where stories about the team that where not true but

- about how the have played against really big under-16 teams (in my country they’re very common)

-or how the whole team got scouted by big youth groups

- and weirdly enough most people believed the stories

- the day from the tournaments he got to see the team he was up against

- and damn

- that team was big

- the measures that you can think about is a 12 year old against a 18 year old

- I’ll save the sad and embarrassing details but Raichis team lost 5-0

- he doesn’t want to talk about it ever again

Rensuke Kunigami

- this happened at a family party (I can’t recall if it was a birthday or whatever)

- and one of his uncles who is a dead beat brought his child who was the same age as Kunigami (they are now bffs 4 life)

- his new cousin might be the same age but he was very small very shy and had very very bad eyesight and had those special glasses

- this party was very awkward and tense because… well his uncle brought a full grown kid no one knew about

- and by the uncles behavior you could see he didn’t know his own son

- and sinds nobody wanted to talk to him Kunigami decided that he would be the first one

- so he asked him if he wanted to play football with him

- surprisingly he said yes so they went to the garden to play

- now how the layout was was the garden connected to the big living room with big full wall windows so if you where inside you had a very clear view of the outside

- everyone was located in the living room except for Kunigami and his new cousin

- at this age Kunigami was already pretty skilled with shooting and also very sporty however when he would shoot the ball it could go any direction

- his new cousin was nothing like that

- so Kunigami decided that instead of a 1-on-1 he would just play that goalkeeper game where his cousin would stand and try catching the balls that he shoots

- so at the first shot it already goes wrong😑

- Kunigami tries to shoot behind him but it goes straight to his face

- and like I said this poor boy was wearing glasses

- so so the glasses shatter

- the glasses?

- broken

- snapped

- thank god that there wasn’t any glass in his cousins eyes

- but with all the tension of that day Kunigami started sobbing and ugly crying

- it was so loud that a lot of adults started looking what was going on

- all they saw was a screaming Kunigami and a very confused boy with broken glasses

- luckily nobody was mad and they just laughed about it

- after that him and that cousin became each others favorite friends

Shoei Baro

- this wasn’t while playing real football

- he was playing fifa

- so it can’t be that bad right?

- WRONG

- it was just after his birthday and he got a lot of money that year (around 300 #bigfamily)

- so his mama went to a friends house just to catch up with her and Barou went with her with his birthday money because after that he would buy a new iPad

- this friend has a son 4 years older than him

- this guy loved gambling

- so Barou got kind of pressured into playing fifa for money with him

- Barou was very confident with his fifa skills after having spend a view years playing it himself

- so they went to this guys room where he found like 4 other guys sitting there (I think friends or something)

- the rules where very simple, you need to play against everyone and per game won you could get 50 from the the person who lost. And with finals if you lost you lost all the money you won and the rest

- Barou didn’t really have a choice in this so he played

- Barou won the 4 rounds against this guy his friends but didn’t take the money because he found it bullshit and had his own money

- the last one was the the guy with the gamble addiction

- but this guy if foul

- he faked that his controller was broken and said he would grab a other one and that Barou could use the freshly new one

- the new one was bugged af

- so Barou lost hard and all his birthday money was gone

- the money for his new iPad was gone

- he got laughed at by all 5 of them

- he faked being sick so his mama wouldn’t find out about his lost money

- this story does have a happy ending

- the friends of this guy bought him a better and more expensive iPad because they started feeling bad for him and even got his birthday money back after they stole it from the guy

Anri Teieri

- she was young and had no idea skills in playing football

- she only watched it

- Anri had only a few girl friends who knew about football because of their boyfriends (Anri doesn’t have one and her friends where fake af)

- so at a cute little friends hangout session Anri mentioned that she wanted to learn how to play football

- one of her friends who said something about her being such a goalkeeper

- everybody agreed and started hyping her up

- Anri kind of liked it so she started agreeing with them

- so at a other hangout session her friends took a new friend with them

- he was a football player and one of her friends brought up hoe Anri also plays football

- that was a lie

- but the boy got all excited and wanted to know what position she played and wanted play football with her

- with everyone there she decided she would just agree

- it can’t be that hard to stay at the goal and stop the ball

- wrong

- with everyone they went to a football field close by

- there you can borrow a football and for one euro you can play on a field (very common in my country although right now playing on the field is free and you pay for the ball)

- they would play the goalkeeper and striker shit (think about the second part from blue lock where you needed to get a 100 goals)

- she stood there and the guy was ready to shoot the ball

- she wanted to be careful by using her arms to block?

- bad idea

- the boy shot and he shot so hard

- Anri got to the ball and stopped it

- but then she felt something

- first both her arms where ice cold and then absolute pain started going trough both of them

- one arm was broken and the other was very badly bruised

- but crying around so many people?

- no way

- so she went that whole day without telling everyone

- but at night she couldn’t hold it in and started crying about it

- her friends dropped her shot after that (literally the next day)

- this story also has a happy ending

- the boy who broke her arm brought her to school every single day until her arms where healthy again and they stayed friends

♡ Best books I read in 2023! ♡

Since it's officially 2024, I thought I would make a short list of some of my favourite books I read last year! Just be warned that my reading taste is a little dark and all of these books have like a billion trigger warnings so just keep that in mind. No spoilers btw!

🎀 Lolita ♡ Vladimir Nabokov

This one was admittedly reread but I still wanted to include it. I first read Lolita at the beginning of last school year and I loved it. Not only was it beautifully written, but it conveyed how terrible paedophilia is while also being told through the point of view of the paedophile and not making the story romantic which is one of the most impressive parts of the novel. There are so many things this book does so well and although it can be a tough read for a lot of people, I still highly recommend it.

🎀 Earthlings ♡ Sayaka Murata

This is definitely one of the weirdest things I've read. It's basically about three people who believe they're aliens and, as a result of that, end up doing many questionable things. It's very unclear what is real and what's not, and I love books that do that. It tackles themes of childhood trauma in a very unique way and, if you choose to believe everything the main character believes, it's actually quite a happy ending.

🎀 The Secret History ♡ Donna Tartt

Omg this book actually changed me. I read this because it's one of Dakota Warren's favourite books and I can definitely see why she loves it so much. The novel follows a group of Greek studies students who murder their friend and the story leads up to how this happened. This book is definitely a slow read, but it's also very much worth it in the end. Out of all of the books I read this year, this is the one I'd recommend the most.

🎀 The Picture of Dorian Gray ♡ Oscar Wilde

I don't know how this was my first time reading this, but I'm so glad I finally did. On the surface level, it's a story about a young man corrupted by his vanity, but beneath that there's so much more to it, like Basil and Dorian's relationship and whether Basil actually liked Dorian or was just infatuated by his beauty, the subversion of the idea that beautiful people are inherently good, and the worth that's assigned to things as superficial as beauty. I loved this book and I know I'm going to keep thinking about it for a while.

🎀 Ring ♡ Koji Suzuki

This is the novel that inspired the movies Ringu and Ring, so that probably gives a pretty good idea of what this book is about. Just like the movie Ringu, this book relies mostly on suspense rather than action-filled and confrontational scenes between the main character and Sadako. The book is very different from the movies so even if you have seen the movies, I still think the book is worth reading because there are so many interesting things that the films left out.

aw hahaha, i wish my were professors were like that! (and true, elizabeth the 3rd does deserve it) also, due to his endearing nature, i like to imagine some of his students feeling a bit sad once they finish up his course, and getting him a parting gift before they move on to the next stages of their lives. and since he talks about elizabeth so much they usually get him cat themed mugs or pens so he’s got a whole stash of them back home and in his office.

omg, i forgot yoosung wanted to be a vet for a hot min! yeah, the animal hospital idea definitely fits more. i’m thinking of yoosung working as a junior vet in one of the local clinics. one day he mentions in passing how he’d like to open up his own clinic in the group chat. jumin messages him privately a little later, mentioning that he’d be more than happy to provide the capital to help him get started.

yoosung suddenly becomes nervous. sure, this is his dream, but dreaming and doing are two separate things. starting his own practice is a big step to take and he’s still relatively young. is he really ready? these kind of thoughts keep circling in his head when:

“i've seen how hard you’ve worked and how much you’ve grown during these past years you’ve practiced under dr. yoo. i believe you are more than capable of starting up and running your own clinic. of course, i, as well as the other rfa members will be there to support you each step of the way.”

and since jumin han isn’t the type of person to give out compliments for free, i’d like to think the sincerity of his words help yoosung feel a bit more confident in the idea of running his own clinic, and yeah, that’s my rfa animal hospital origin story haha <3

i totally agree on the lawyer thing! out of all the professions mentioned, i think jumin fits the lawyer vibe the most. but it’d also be the hardest profession to fit canon jumin into. like it works in theory, but it’s a lot harder in practice haha. but, prosecuting for sure, can’t really picture him as a defense lawyer

Oh he 100% would have an impressive collection of cat mugs that were gifted to him!

I think he would be the type to tell his students not to try and remain in contact with him after they graduate because he doesn't have the time or energy, really, and he wouldn't sugarcoat that. Even so he remembers a lot of them (we know the memory on that man is ridiculous) so occasionally he will come across someone he taught's research in an academic journal a few years after their graduation and he will send them an email to congratulate them on being published and possibly briefly discuss their work. He's also been in the 'thanks to' section of a thesis or several.

Side note I imagine he is very well acquainted with the campus IT department because if ever he stumbles into any sort of technological issue it's very rare he knows how to solve it himself. They're used to it. This applies to C&R in canon too.

Also! The idea of him helping Yoosung fund setting up his own veterinary clinic is lovely and I can definitely see it happening. He might even request that Yoosung be Elizabeth's primary vet once it's all up and running since he knows and trusts him on a personal level. Yoosung kind of fumbles at first because oh god that's a lot of pressure but he ends up accepting after some deliberation. He tries insisting Jumin let him do it for free as a good deed in return for helping him make his dream a reality, but Jumin has absolutely none of it hahaha.

Hard agree on the works in theory, less in practice lawyer thing too. He definitely fits the vibe more than the actual career. He seems like the type of guy who has a slightly odd amount of knowledge on the legal system just because he can, and also who would weirdly enjoy getting called for jury duty. If you told him you dread it he'd be all "I find the whole thing rather fascinating"

Weird old man who’s really pessimistic and kinda gave up on everything. 😕 (Why don’t you explain stuff?! Why aren’t you useful pls. What's up with the doll too ??)

Well… do I really need to explain ? Ah yes I need. I should for people who don’t know. Ok. I really like him! My interpretations made me like him, a lot. It’s like that, that’s how I feel I can’t changed that. I am touched by his tragic and nuanced story. I might have a severe brain rot on him to help

I love him ok, he’s one of my favs after all. I joke he’s the little blorbo meow meow of my heart but in all seriousness.. I really like the character he’s really interesting and intriguing. Yes he screw up and found out the hard way but I think he’s such a tragic and misunderstood figure too. LOOK AT HIS BOSS FIGHT AND THEME too ! Omg and everything really. 

Also I used to found funny, people who have the most depressive guy as their comfort character ahah Well guess what 😅 I mean I’m probably still in denial but bro literally appear 5s in one of my nightmare to comfort smn so hm… I guess my brain is trying to made me understand smt.

Hm sorry I got a bit absorbed hm I will finish by saying that it took me quite some times to end to this impression. It din’t happen overnight for sure. I really I asked myself lot of questions. I spend lot of time doing research and having long reflexion on everything and particularly on him. 

Favorite moment

His freaking boss fight ! Ahhh (yeah after finishing the game I listened to his theme for like 1 hour at 2am. Yep normal bloodborne experience 👍) I really love it I feel like I can imagined all his life with his theme (same with Laurence’s theme too)

Idea for a story

I have too much. Most of my stories are focused on more than 1 characters so with only him or really focused on him ? Oh well…

-His childhood/teenage years/ young adult years + how he ended up at Byrgenwerth (Kinda angsty in the middle but hey it’s « soft » compared to the rest 😭😂) I won’t tell too much on that but I already share some hehe

His life after Maria passed away and before the hunter dreams…. (Divided in 2)

Really angsty dark and depressive part not long after that … :/ want to make me cry really…

When he’s older and  calmed down a bit, still hunts a bit, help new hunters, (rip og group of old hunters there’s not much anymore) have a dog and all 🥺 try to you know, live a normal life again  until well you know… Cainhurst & the church… the dream…

Unpopular opinion

Well… I don’t think he’s that creepy, fucked up and sexist old man many people depicted him to be. I won’t dive into that too much now. It would be long and I don’t have the time. Another day perhaps + I already try to talk about it I think. And there’s really good stuff on the subject around. I think he’s a really nuanced and maybe really loose it after some point but not that badly. With all the clues I got in the game : the mistranslations (+ I didn’t played in English originally too!) + the differents interpretations on so many things + his presentation & ending it just don’t feel right for me to categories him that way. (+If he was really the biggest asshole don’t you think he would have end like Seluvis or Gideon in elden ring? Like shit? I feel many bloodborne characters are way way worse and no one fight over it too XD)

So yeah that's It I don't thins he's that bad 😐 that's it

I’m not sure how to describe it. Might feel insane perhaps but I have just so many thoughts and feels on those 2.

Even if I have interpretations I prefer and I’m a bit biased because of some of my taste & main hcs cough I love so many interpretations of their relationships as well.

What was their relationship exactly, where they just close friends, master/apprentice, coworkers,  platonic? romantic feelings? Oneside/both sides? Did smt happen between them ? Never happened ? Was it smt really weird on fence or in the contrary nothing weird at all ?? Or were they maybe related from the same family ? Father/daughter (figure). Since when do they know each others ? How did they meet ?! 

Even if I tend to share more of one specific headcanons of mine (the more developed one and version of bloodborne lore that I have) I have so many ideas clashing in my heads and I love seeing unique and interesting takes on it. We can’t denied this 2 are strongly link together and have such a unique bond that transcend death and dreams themself.

Of course my fav one being the one where/when they were (just) close friends that relate to one another a lot and believed they understand each other really well (for some times at least) idk but I cannot, not imagined them being all silly and doing really silly things back at Byrgenwerth. 

So anyway I wish we had more and my brain is crazy trying to fill the gasps.

Also I wish we knew more on his relationship with Laurence & Willem but also Ludwig & the doll and  other characters as well.

Favorite headcanon

Oh wow I would have too much so I will just stick to a few ones

He was byrgenwerth groundskeeper 

He made the mercy blades + it was his originally (so he had a grand and smaller weapon too)

The weird half hidden note in the hunter dreams about ending the nightmare/dream is from him

He can sew really well and fixed the old hunters clothes who were damaged (people skins too 💀)

He used too/could make really great wood figures + toys

He made all the old hunters badge himself and they’re made out of siderite too (but I think it’s a bit oblivious) 

He did some study at Byrgenwerth and do know quite a lot of things (all the books at the workshop, blood gems etc)

Oh wait it’s just A favorite one ?! (I’m bad a choosing ahhh hm idk he would make a great house husban- I mean the mercy blade hc ! Maybe)

Like did you really wanted to kill Godwyn and do a giant mess or was it circumstance hm? I found some other characters way easier to like than her too. Sorry 😢

With Blaidd of course (but also Iji and Rykard, her mother etc). (And the tarnished XD) and I wish we had info about her relationship with other characters (like all her siblings and half siblings)

bts on the bachelorette

i really tried to relax for 5 minutes today with some dumb reality TV and then my brain wouldn't shut up. have you ever wondered what bangtan's elimination order would be on a season of the bachelorette???? well wonder no more my friends...

(this started as a headcanon and then morphed into kind of a drabble? tbh i don't even know what's happening here. just enjoy it lmao 😂)

the first one sent home is yoongi - yes, i think my sweet baby boy would get sent home night one. this breaks my heart but i just see him being too reserved, too closed off, not jumping to make a first impression and getting lost in the shuffle. he would ABSOLUTELY be one of those first-eliminated guys who gets a whole legion of fans tho, and they campaign HARD to get his pale ass on paradise 😂 

next to go is seokjin - he would get kept around just long enough to be a villain lmaoooo. the one guy who drives all the others crazy because he’s cocky as fuck about his looks and is NOT here to make friends. i could see jk telling on him to bachelorette and there being a whole dramatic confrontation where she rips the rose out of his hands and says “get the fuck out of here”. he absolutely makes and sells worldwide handsome merch after.

the next one out is jimin - and he's definitely the dude who gets by on sex appeal alone LMAO. the one where bachelorette is like ‘i’m just not sure i have the same connection with jimin’ and then he takes his shirt off and she’s like ‘……i’m sorry can you repeat the question’. they have at least two steamy makeout sessions before she finally has to send him packing tho, good for her 🥰 

the first heartbreaking elimination is hoseok - my love, my angel, hobi is totally gonna end up in the friend zone on a show like this. he’s so caring and subtly sexy but i could see him being more of a support system for bachelorette and the person who brings her the inside scoop on what’s going on in the house. they’d both cry when she eliminates him but he’d be so sweet and understanding and go out of his way to make sure she smiles before he walks out. truly only wants the best for her.

then, the shocking elimination that's teased for weeks: jungkook - when i tell you twitter EXPLODES. you’ll see headlines about this one on the motherfucking NEWS in the morning. doe-eyed, tattooed, sexy shy badboy jk eliminated?!?!??! has the bitch lost her MIND????? but bachelorette just can’t get over the fact that he’s so young, and she’s afraid he’s not ready to make such a serious commitment.

there’s a ton of push-pull where she feels like jk doesn’t “fight for her” enough because he is more reserved, but then he’ll do something competitive and it’s just enough to keep her hooked on him a little longer, until this episode where she finally has to let him go. he definitely has an extended crying montage on the way out/in the car where he says some stuff about how he’d never been in love like this before. omg ouch let’s move on i’m hurt.

WHICH LEAVES THE FINAL TWO!!!!! and bachelorette is so torn!!! 😩

taehyung is gorgeous, romantic, and sensual (insert clip from a date of him feeding her chocolate covered strawberries). he’s an old soul, passionate, but has an extremely dry sense of humor that bachelorette falls HARD for. she loves that they can laugh together, and he isn’t afraid to look stupid or try something new (insert clip of them doing that indoor skydiving thing on a date). and he’s also not afraid to tell her exactly what he wants- marriage, kids, a life with her by his side.

but sometimes he can be hard to read. he’s honestly so good looking it makes her a little insecure, and she just has this nagging feeling like he isn’t quite letting her all the way in....but she can't tell if that's just her own fear about finding a love this intense.

namjoon is intelligent, supportive, and so goddamn sexy (insert clip from a group date competition of him doing pull-ups). bachelorette feels comfortable with him in a way she doesn’t quite have words for. sometimes she swears it feels like she’s met him before in another lifetime, and this is just a reunion. (insert clip from a picnic date where she rests her head in joon’s lap as he reads to her). he’s so well-spoken and such a deep thinker, and the world falls head over heels for the conversations they’re able to have about love, loyalty, identity, emotions.

but she’s not sure she feels the same passion and fire with him that she does with taehyung. namjoon admits outright that he doesn’t know what he wants in life, is unsure about marriage or kids, and when he gets too in his head and insecure about the competition, he can shut her out without meaning to.

we watch with bated breath as bachelorette takes her place at the gorgeous vista decorated for her proposal. everyone who’s seen the show before knows that whoever steps out of the limo first is the one she’s chosen to send home.

hearts shatter nationwide when joon ducks his head to exit the car.

bachelorette stops him before he can even go into his speech, laughs a little to herself: “I know if I let you start talking it’s going to change my mind, so let me go first.” explains that she’s just too scared of his indecisiveness. she’s prone to overthinking herself, so she needs someone who is going to offer stability, someone who is ready and knows what he wants. joon takes it like the gentleman he is, one dimple popping in a sad half-smile, and she presses up on her tiptoes to give him a hug.

which just leaves taehyung. he steps out of the car with a deep exhale, and you can see even from afar that his hands are shaking as he makes his way to bachelorette, mouth dropping open slightly at how gorgeous she looks.

the proposal is like something out of a movie, a long, perfect speech delivered in tae’s shaky baritone as a breeze ruffles through his hair and toys with the hem of bachelorette's dress. he winds back through their time together accompanied by an edited montage, and finally ends with the truth: he knew as soon as he laid eyes on her that this was meant to be, and that she was the one. the music swells as he drops to a knee and pulls out a big-ass diamond ring, and they’re both crying by the time she says yes.

~then, after the show wraps:

namjoon, fan fave that he is, appears in a suit on the reunion show to gladly accept the title of the next bachelor. expect LOTS of gratuitous clips of him in the gym during his intro package ooooof 🥵

AAA OMG thank you so much for answering my question! ok ok ok so! first up for the fic desires, right out of the gate - I don't like smut (as a sex-repulsed asexual I find reading about it not fun). also I don't like reading whump that much unless it has a good ending. as for not wanted ships, anything is fine unless it's incest or pedophilia. characters/interactions are a bit harder to pin down, but I know I don't want any fics that involve self-inserts, y/n, or ocs as the main focus, I'd much rather be distanced from the story being told than directly involved in it, if that makes sense? I'd like to read something involving Idia or Ortho or any of the Hades dorm (idk its in-universe name) characters - there doesn't seem to be a lot involving them, at least not that I've found yet. stuff involving the octotrio would also be good, love me some angsty merboys. maybe some stuff with Riddle and the other Heartslybule (idk if that's how it's spelled) students too? if you have any fics involving transformation or body-swapping, those are tropes I really like (I'm reasonably sure that at least some of the Diasomnia students have dragon or half-dragon forms but so far I haven't found anything involving them actually transforming?) In addition, what fics involving the Diasomnia students do you think are the best? And You Think, "No Escape" (ongoing) GEN – i'm a few chapters behind on this one bc life kicked me, but very good gen fic thus far! mainly focused around the previous overblotters in a weird sidequest treasure hunt forced by some bad guys, with trey and cater in the BG tryna help their situation. VERY long chapters and updates very regularly, so would likely provide a good amount of content

Night Raven Kindergarten (ongoing) GEN – cater is the main char, but he and trey are kindergarten teachers for a selection of the cast as kids!! VERY cute and fun, and delves into the kids' lives at home in rly heartfelt ways that hit, the problems feel nuanced and well-written, and the chars all feel so themselves. whitenoface is the author and i like a lot of their work, i'm recing another work from them later on

Briar Scion (ongoing) Idiasil – p long idiasil fic where the story itself is rly what caught my attention, and now im along for the ride. the premise is rly interesting where essentially like,,, nature itself loves silver, and wants to marry him? so nature is encroaching on school turf while interpersonal romance happens around the plot, its a fun concept! yuu is in it in the bg a bit but its not like,, self-insert or OC, so hopefully u won't mind. updates regularly!

when we don't have the words, chocolate can speak volumes (completed) Idiasil – cute, 30k or so idiasil!! largely focuses on the second years as a group working at the mostro lounge, as silver asks for advice from them respectively and idia works up the nerve in the bg to come in to say hi to silver. mostly just a cute silly story, not as intricate a plot but a fun read!

The Queen's Court (completed) Catervil – first of all, azurith is a FANTASTIC writer, and i highly recommend literally anything they've ever written. this rec branches beyond this fic, but this was my start. this covers cater interning for maleficient herself, and then delves into his newfound connection to the draconias while covering fae history and previous war, etc, it's FANTASTIC and this lore is upheld in a lot of their other work. "Enchanted" is another ongoing work by azurith with cater as a diasomnia student, updates regularly and is very good!! azurith is largely a catervil writer but i think their work is far more important than a preference for ship, i'd rec even if u don't care abt catervil

Snow Is Falling (completed) Cater-focused – idk if u can tell but i like cater interacting w diasomnia content, this is where he goes to briar valley for winter break instead of back home! around 15k, just focuses on his interactions with the diasomnia people while staying with lilia and silver, p short and sweet but v nice :D

devoted malediction (orphaned) malledeuce – of all the fics on this list, this is the one ur most likely to skip. i found this on a WHIM while scouring every existing diasomnia ship tag and was so stunned at the audacity of someone to ship malleus and DEUCE, and to write 140k+ words abt it, that i had to read it. i can't explain it with words,,, the writing style reads so differently than anything else i've ever read, it reads as a STYLE rather than simply reading as 'well-written,' it rly kept my attention. essentially, it's a ...human? au? they're coworkers at a game dev studio, they're human but there's still magic, i can't explain it. there's underground plot-shit with the magic factions or whatever that's so interesting, but it IS orphaned so it'll never update again. i'm devastated. i can't sell this fic to anyone bc of the ship and the length but i enjoyed it very deeply and i'll miss it

Fath-- I mean, Lilia (completed) lilia & silver – ALSO by whitenoface, very sweet familial content of them through silver's life. a 10k must-read for a diasomnia fan

Even a Vanrouge Must Rest (completed) lilia & silver – VERY short and VERY sad but i am legally obligated to rec this. i'd be a bad diasomnia fan if i didn't, very heartbreaking and touching story

Crocodile Teeth (completed) Silsebe – sebek overblot story, decent length and p well written, sebek is infuriating which is Correct for sebek and Correct for someone on their way to an overblot. i've read most of magicalfish's work but i can't rec most to u due to nsfw, this is one of the better silsebe fics out there!!!

Just Out of Reach (ongoing) Silsebe – it DOES update, just not on a regular basis. VERY VERY good fic that FEELS slow-burn, it's 50k+ so far and still feels like the build is just starting up well now. essentially, silver and sebek get in a big fight and lilia magically makes them stay side-by-side till they understand each other, so it analyzes how despite their closeness in their upbringings and how they are partners in their roles as malleus's knights, they don't rly get each other yet and need to cultivate their relationship so it doesn't crumble. very nice story thus far and i look forward to updates!!
