Can we analyse Tulin for a bit?

Apart from being the keet birb boy, perhaps what makes his character so enthralling is how it so brilliantly reflects and offers commentary on the influences that have shaped him.

Whether that be Revali, his father Teba, and ESPECIALLY Link. Hell, it's no wonder that Link & Tulin have garnered such a sibling dynamic. Tulin essentially IS Link, from a time before the burden of responsibility and pain caused Link to cave in on himself pre-Breath of the Wild.

Right down to the veteran warrior father figure (Link's father was captain of the guard) and their acceptance of a newfound legacy out of forthright integrity. Tulin, at this point in his life, has yet to give himself away until there's nothing of him left to give, and let's pray he never needs to.

But Tulin would do that in a heartbeat, if called upon. He is very much his father's son.

You can see it in how archtypical childish spunk is tempered, like steel, by Teba's down-to-earth bluntness and sheer work ethic.

(BTW I wonder if Link sees his own father in Teba? That'd check out.)

But what caught me most pleasantly off-guard is Tulin's skepticism, which has become one of his most compelling traits for me. It's not something you would expect.

He did not believe that the Stormwind Ark existed, and while ultimately proven wrong, it frankly wasn't an illogical assumption to make. Tulin clearly thought through that opinion. He'd also grown frustrated that the Rito placed their faith on a songbook miracle — a eucatastrophe, if you will — instead of something more concrete like personal skill or, say, Link's whole-ass existence.

The second Link arrived and offered his aid, Tulin accepted his help without hesitation. He turned his skepticism inward to reevaluate his own tenets. And it's as a duo that they brought about said eucatastrophe through no one's strength but their own. They are siblings, Your Honor. Aryll 2.0

(If Revali had been blessed with a support network saying "it's okay to accept help. no man is an island," doubtless he still would have perished in Vah Medoh. But there would be less of an ego to shatter. He would have faced death with less blind panic and more dignity. And most importantly, he'd have other people to bolster the wind beneath his wings during his short life. (At the very least, Revali would not have as big an ass not be as big an ass, just as Tulin would be a different person without his family.)

Also, one thing that everyone seems to miss is just how deceptively intelligent Tulin turns out to be. This kid fuckin' knows his stuff. His mastery of aerodynamics beyond the instinctual is almost on par with Revali at such a young age. And how many precision headshots has his avatar saved your ass with, don't lie.

He somehow managed to follow his father back through time. Tulin can see Koroks.

It's not the same kind of passion-fuelled intellect as, say, Zelda has. More of an unyeilding conviction to learn all he can and put it into practice. About as understated a quality as Yunobo's inexplicable business acumen and economic sense.

As his mother Saki put it, for Tulin to develop as an individual, he needs to experience more of reality and its hardships. Shooting bullseyes and improving one's flying prowess / wind magic can't contend with genuine combat. True to her word, Tulin had to experience mistakes firsthand, and critically examine his own naïve ways of thinking in order to take those necessary steps.

So then, uh, is it wrong for me to wish something horrible upon him, if only to witness the positive character growth that springs from it? Tulin isn't the sort who'll shatter under pressure, like Revali did at the end of his life, or like Link did under the weight of expectation. Buckle, yes — but not break. Tulin's steadfast conviction, inherited from his father and guided by the people he loves, would assuredly see him through.

In any event, his Hero's Journey isn't close to over. I'd be curious to see Tulin at its conclusion.

Colin and Damian's dynamic and each of them as individuals really intrigues me, so I wanted to continue my "Damian Wayne HC's", with their relationship and my intrepretation of things.

(By the way, I already made a post about explaining Colin's character within the canon. He is a character who is very misinterpreted and most of the time written as a Jon Kent 2.0. So if you want to understand my hc's for him more, you can go into my 'Colin Wilkes' tags and see my posts about him.)

Colin is a stoic kid. Damian is a stoic kid. So they make a pretty intimidating duo.

They both are considered 'cold' but Colin is more 'silent-cold' while Damian is 'unhinged-cold'.

Colin has always admired and loved superheroes ever since Batman saved him from Scarecrow, so his stoic persona slips away whenever he comes across one. He also does not have a 'least favorite' hero. He loves all of them.

Since Colin grew up in an orphanage and every night went out as Abuse to save people, he is very protective. Damian, naturally, is very protective. So sometimes it gets in their way when they're trying to save the other during fights and they end up just messing everything up and fuck off.

Although Colin is very stoic, before he became Abuse, he was a very shy child. He had a closed-off sadness inside him since people mostly adopted babies or toddlers. He just knew that he was too old and would be without a family.

After becoming Abuse, he first hand realized how dangerous Gotham could be to the people and the children. This filled him up with a new type of feeling, so he ended up following his heroe's foot steps and became a vigilante.

Colin (canonically) found out Damian was Robin from a single back flip. His ability to stay calm in situations and assess really helps him on the field.

Colin and Damian never go to school together, never meet up as Damian and Colin. At least not at first. Their friendship is built upon duty and mission. The realization of them being friends come to them years later.

There is only one person Damian would not hesitate to tell any sorts of secret, and that's Colin Wilkes. He just knows that no matter what, Colin would never judge him or admonish him for his flaws and mistakes.

Colin rarely sees Damian's other siblings, but Damian feels like Colin isn't very interested in them despite being a superhero fan. Which in return interests Damian. He never really understands why.

Colin is not very interested in Damian's siblings because they are so unlike Damian, it becomes very uncommonly common. Sure he likes them and admires their work very much. But they simply don't fight, think, joke or understand him like Damian.

What really intrigues Colin about Damian is that his character is exactly opposite of what a hero 'should' be. He is brash, agressive, hilarious in a fucked up way, dangerous, scary, theatrical, uncaring and scarred. He is such an uncommonly uncommon person that Colin just can't help but be his friend.

Best part of being Abuse to Colin is branding criminals' faces. He isn't sadistic really, but it gives him a deep pleasure doing it.

Damian thinks branding criminals is genius, although he refrains from doing it. Branding isn't really a Bat type of thing.

Colin doesn't really get along with Jon. Jon tries to befriend him and Colin knows that he is a good kid. But befriending Jon (or any other friend of Damian) means patrolling the streets as a trio rather than a duo. He can't really explain it, but it just feels wrong to imagine Damian in a three person group. He isn't jealous or anything, he is perfectly fine with Damian patrolling with Jon. It's just that he feels like, with Damian, it's supposed to be a duo. Bringing a third person messes up the dynamic for him and Damian.

After Alfred's death, Damian (canonically) ends up leaving the Manor and continuing on his own. And for a while Damian and Colin end up living together. These are the times where they really see what they mean to each other.

Damian sometimes really struggles to see or understand what really Colin is to him. A friend, ally, rival, lover, brother? He really doesn't know. What he knows though is that Colin means so much to him and that he will keep being at his side as long as he's allowed.

When someone hurts Colin, he will hurt them as much as they hurt him. An eye for an eye.

When someone hurts Damian, he will hurt them ten times more and they'll regret ever touching him.

Although Colin is a Batman fan, he doesn't have his moral code. He won't go out of his way to kill someone, but if they do end up dying he won't care as much as he should.

When Damian was a kid and would kill someone, he wouldn't feel anything. After Bruce's influence, in those rare times that he kills someone, all he hears is his father's voice in his head. So sometimes he wonders whether he is a bad person for feeling remorse because of his father and not for actually killing someone.

Both Colin and Damian aren't touchy people.

Colin isn't a touchy person because he rarely got them when he was little and now he just doesn't find the appeal in it. He doesn't really care or desire for it as much as other kids.

Damian on the other hand basically has haphephobia (fear of touch). He doesn't trust anyone to get that much close to him. Although he doesn't feel pain from touching, he feels lightheaded and reflexively presses his arms into his body as close as he can. This of course makes him uncomfortable. And in extreme cases, flashbacks and bad memories fill him up.

So these were some of my hc's for Colin and Damian. I don't know what you guys think of their relationship (whether it's romantic or pure friendship) so think of these as anyway you want.

Masterlist

This is not what you wanted to do with your life. You were supposed to move away from Gotham and become something mundane, like a school teacher or a nurse. Instead, here you were cleaning up your older brother's mess.

You and Bruce were brought together after the death of his parents. In Thomas Wayne's will, the details of an affair he had with an unknown woman were disclosed. Those details led Alfred and Bruce to you. They had brought you in and from then on the two of you grew up side by side.

The traumatic loss of his parents fueled him to want to protect the city of Gotham as the Batman. What Bruce did for the city was out of personal gain. Saving the city made him feel better about not being able to save his parents. And that was completely fine.

However, that wasn't the case for you. In a fucked up way, the death of Bruce's parents allowed you to live a life you couldn't have ever dreamed of. It gave you a wonderful home, a family in Bruce and Alfred, and all the money you could ever need. You didn't want to be Batman.

Unfortunately, you had no choice. Bruce had disappeared without a trace. Leaving you in charge of Wayne Enterprises, as well as the only one who could fill his shoes. You adamantly denied the mantle at first. Surely the rest of the Batfam could handle taking care of the city without their leader.

Spoiler alert, they couldn't. Without Bruce, the infighting about who was in charge made it hard for them to do anything successfully. So you put on the stupid mask. After all, you had done all the same training as Bruce, and it was apparent that you knew his ways.

You surprised the Batfam and even yourself with how good you were at pretending to be your brother. The fighting was exhilarating, and directing the team had almost felt natural. It's not what you wanted to do, but it was perfect for you.

There were a few perks to being the new Batman. Those perks were named Harley and Ivy. Bruce would be furious if he were around, but he wasn't. You loved running into the dynamic duo. There was a chemistry between the three of you that was almost unexplainable.

Harley was everything. The woman was equal parts unhinged and intelligent. She was the first one to notice that you weren't the usual Bat. She took the chance to flirt with you, and you couldn't help but flirt back.

It wasn't much later that Harley had practically introduced you to Ivy while the two were robbing a jewelry store. Ivy was enchanting, even without the magical flirting. They managed to get away, but you managed to get back the stolen jewels.

Admittedly, you usually let them get away, but you usually stopped whatever scheme they had going around.

Tonight you hadn't run into them yet. You stopped a few petty muggings from random goons, but it seemed like all the big guns were inside for the night. Regular street patrol was panning out to be super uneventful.

" Well, if it isn't Batsy 2.0. You patrolling tonight, cupcake?"

Across the street from you were Harley and Ivy. Seemingly with nothing stolen, it must've been a miracle.

" If Gotham's up, so am I. Lucky for me, the city is always awake."

Harley and Ivy share a look before the redhead speaks," Maybe you should call it for the night."

You calmly approach the pair, giving them time to flee if they felt like it," You know something I don't ?"

" We're doctors, we know a lot of things that you don't," Ivy let a small smirk play on her lips.

You roll your eyes and cross your arms over your chest," Fair point, but you know what I mean. If there's something planned for tonight, you know I've gotta stop it"

Harley let out an obnoxious puff of air," Different bat, same morals. Woulda just take our word for it and get somewhere safe?"

" Why?"

Ivy places her hands on her hips," Take a look around, notice anything different about the city? No one is out tonight. The activity is minimal and like you said, Gotham never sleeps"

Your gaze steels," Whatever it is, no matter how big, I'll stop it"

You go to walk away, but a hand on your shoulder stops you," You won't be able to stop this one."

" Don't ya got a family or somethin' worth livin' for? You need to get to safety"

The persistence was starting to get to you, but it didn't matter. You had to save the city from whatever the fuck was going on," I'll call backup"

" The batty bunch is not equipped for this. They're just kids and whoever you are to them, I'm sure they're going to need you in their lives. Now please, go home," Ivy was pleading with you.

" You know I can't do that," with those final words you drop a smoke bomb, disappearing from their field of view.

You began to hunt for anything that seemed suspicious or out of place. Heeding the advice of Harley and Ivy, you did not call for backup. You weren't Bruce, you refused to drag your family into this.

What you started to notice sent you into a panic. There were traces of Ace chemical substances on a plethora of buildings. You didn't have a clue, how many buildings or which buildings would be affected. If only it could stay that way.

You could hear it before you could see a massive explosion about two blocks from you. Now was the time to call GCPD and call in for back up to have the buildings evacuated.

Your heart was pounding in your chest as you hurried towards the first explosion site. There were already a number of people that had left the building, but not everyone. Without hesitation, you flew into the burning building.

The search for people was hurried, for a moment it seemed like the building was clear, until you heard sobbing.

You couldn't see all that well in the flames, but you could make out three figures. Two children and one adult.

" Please, save my children, save them" a woman's voice called out. You charged through the fire, scooping up the two children with ease. The woman tried to refuse your help, but you weren't going to orphan these children. Not when there was a chance of you saving her.

You instruct the woman to get on your back. With a strong kick to a nearby window, glass shatters. You're maybe 6 stories up. The only way you're getting out is if you jump, and so you do.

With a woman on your back and two kids in your arms, you jump out of the window.

You don't hit the ground, you land safely in the batcopter. The family is almost hysterical as the copter lands in the street. They thank you but as they do, there's another explosion, you take off once again.

When you arrive at that scene, Jason and Dick are already there," Why didn't you call us ?"

" Didn't want you to get hurt."

" We were going to come anyway, idiot"

The banter doesn't get off the ground before another building is burning up in flames.

You leave Jason and Dick to handle the previous explosion, opting to stop the new one. Ivy and Harley's warning echo through your head. You aren't going to be able to save them all.

" Alfred, I need sodium hydroxide and I need it all over Gotham. The explosions are the product of Ace Chemical Acids. We need to neutralize them as much as possible"

" Miss Wayne, it would take approximately hours to get enough"

Another explosion goes off," The city is on fire, Alfred, we have to find a way to stop this. Can you try to pinpoint the location of a potential detonation device?"

" They're all over the city, Y/n. The devices have been pre-rigged to explode," Barbara chimed in over your head piece.

" If you can see them like that, it must mean that they have a singular power source. We have to stop what we can."

" Sending you the coordinates now," you get the location as soon as Barbara finishes her sentence.

" It's chaos out there Y/n, please be safe"

You don't answer.

The address that Barbara gave you was aways from where you currently were. You had to call in the batmobile to get you there fast enough.

When you got there you tried to signal the Batfam, but your radio was scrambled. Bruce would've stealthily entered the building, maybe even scoped the outside before, but again you weren't Bruce. The city was running out of time. If the map Barbara sent you was correct, there were at least fifteen more buildings rigged to explode.

Walking into the warehouse felt like a trap. It probably was, but there was no time for games.

" You are not my dear old Bats. You are an imposter, an imposter who pays me no attention. I don't like that"

In the middle of the warehouse stood the clown princess of crime himself. In his classic purple suit with his green hair slicked back, almost mimicking professionalism.

" You see, Batman and I are more than enemies. We're soulmates, fated to dance this dangerous tango until our feet are bleeding and blistered. I know that you aren't him. So if you'd just turn around and walk out, you'd save yourself one hell of a beating"

You didn't have time for this. Whatever Bruce has going on with this sick fuck had nothing to do with you. Your priority lay with the city, and you would protect it at all cost.

" Stop blowing up buildings"

" Get me the real Bats"

During his theatrics, you had spotted the power line. All you needed to do was throw a batarang to short-circuit the main source and this would be over.

" Maybe you are a bit more like him than I thought. If you cut the power, this building explodes, and I'm the only one who knows a way out. Did I mention that I'm not telling because I'm not"

It wasn't a hard decision for you. There was no pause in your action as you flung the batarang at the power line. The clown man smiled as it hit the line. A ticking began to fill the empty warehouse.

" Tata poser"

He threw what you perceived to be a smoke bomb, assuming that you couldn't see him. With your mask, you could follow his path directly to the exit. However, as the smoke from the Joker's bomb infiltrated your mask you began to feel unsteady.

Your body hit the floor. You couldn't move, you couldn't see. All you could do was lay there. The ticking was ongoing before your eyes got heavy. Then it stopped. The last thing you felt was an incredible heat enveloping your body.

After that, everything was dark. Your consciousness lingered below the surface.

It was disgruntled, but you could make out shapes. You felt your body be lifted and moved. Your sense faded again and the next thing you know, is that you aren't where you passed out.

The warm mattress didn't compare to the intense flame that was hitting you. There was a light hand resting on your stomach and another caressing your face.

" Is she going to okay Ives?" A usually playful tone you knew was coated in a distressful tone.

" I- I don't know Harley. I've tried everything I can think of," the hand that rested on your cheek relocated to your forehead.

" She's beautiful, Ivy"

You felt a finger glide across your jawline," She is"

" Ivy, what if you kissed her. Your poison, it's stronger than this. It'll wake her up, and you have the cure for it"

" It's worth a shot"

Your inner being anticipated feeling Ivy's lips against yours. Instead, your nose had magical powder blown into it. It was an intoxicating enchantment. It made you sit up straight in your spot

You were faced with one of the most beautiful women you had ever seen. Her bouncy red hair framed her face perfectly. Her hand was still against your face as you stared at her adoringly.

" Ivy, you are entirely too gorgeous. Having you grace my presence sends every fiber of being on fire. In the life you've dreamed of, I'll have a botanical garden built from scratch just for you, my love. Money isn't an issue"

" You better give her the antidote right now," Harley spoke from behind Ivy

Ivy hurried and shoved a vile of liquid in your mouth. You drank it and immediately came to your senses.

" Where am I?"

" Our hideout" Harley answered, Ivy quickly examined you.

" You almost died in there, you know. We told you to go home. It was too dangerous," Ivy scolded you for your reckless behavior.

" You two saved me?"

It was then that you noticed the state of your body. You weren't in the batsuit. The clothes you had on consisted of shorts and a tank top. Out of instinct, you went to feel the mask on your face. You were met by nothing but your skin.

" Don't worry, we aren't going to tell anyone that you're a girl," Harley jokes.

" Or that you're Y/n Wayne," Ivy adds.

Harley claps her hand together," Or that you're filling in for your hunky brother Bruce"

You got up from your spot, heading to see the damage to your suit," Did the rest of the buildings explode?"

" No, just the one you were in," Ivy lays a hand on your shoulder.

The stress in your shoulders depleted after hearing that. The suit was almost burnt to a crisp. It was a miracle you didn't have the same damage. You couldn't believe that Harley and Ivy had risked their lives to save you.

" Thank you," you turned towards the two women," I'll listen next time."

You were taken aback by Harley's arms wrapping around your wait," You better, you can't go dying on us"

Ivy stares you down a bit before joining the hug," Never do that again, we can't always be there."

" I get it, I'm sorry. Let me take both of you to dinner to make up for it."

Ivy addressed you first," As Y/n Wayne or Batman?"

Harley nodded in agreement," What she said"

" I, Y/n Wayne, would like to take both Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn on a date"

" That's not going to be a good look for you," you shrugged your shoulders at Ivy's words.

" I don't care. I'll pick you tomorrow at 7" You began exiting the hideout after that. You didn't make it very far before you heard your name being called.

You stopped in your tracks as Harley and Ivy chased after you. Each woman placed a gentle kiss on your cheek.

" Later Batsy"

" Don't be late for our date"

You wouldn't dream of it. With that, you called for the Batmobile and drove off once it arrived. Ideas of the next night swirled around your mind. After realizing how much danger they put themselves in to save you, you knew that it wasn't all bad. That was going to make it easier for you to justify being with them because there was no doubt in your mind that you'd end up together.

vegas team 2.0 lets go !!

vegas team au 2.0 my beloved !!! 

if you don’t know what the vegas team au 2.0 is, it’s an au that a couple of my twitter friends and i developed (notably, @stabbysideblog and @dreamsclock) as a post-canon version of sparrow’s vegas team au, which had c!dream, a post-revival c!wilbur, and c!quackity working together at las nevadas. 

this au exists much in the same vein, but exists post-canon (and therefore, post torture from c!quackity) and adds c!sam to the crew - it’s essentially four really, really messed up people screwing things up in las nevadas and being completely AWFUL to each other. it’s a very messed up group dynamic, 50% angst 50% crack 0% fluff or healing (...unless ;) ) and it’s absolutely one of my favorite aus at the moment.

When Sam first sees the two figures standing on top of the roof of Las Nevadas, the first thing that comes to his mind is oh no, I have a bad feeling about this.

The feeling is far from foreign; a "bad feeling" has been his life for the past week ever since Dream and Wilbur had disappeared from Pandora's Vault seemingly without a trace. He's tried to keep the knowledge under wraps, only telling Bad and Ant to send them on a manhunt to find the prisoner (a lost cause if he's ever seen one; the two have hunted Dream before, and all of them know that there is no way they're finding the man if he doesn't want to be found) while he and Quackity plan for the coming storm. And there will be a coming storm, he's sure - he's heard enough of Dream's desperate, deranged plans of revenge voiced in near incoherent screams through bubbling lava to think that he will come out of the cell with anything close to mercy in his heart.

Unfortunately, there's been little to nothing from the pair of fugitives running around the server, his communicator chat still buzzing with Tommy's usual shouting and Puffy's usual invitations to tea and Technoblade's usual cryptic "technoblade" messages sporadically throughout the day. It's frustratingly, maddeningly normal, and each day of waiting for the other shoe to drop only leaves him even closer to snapping completely. In a twisted, bitter sort of way, he's almost relieved at the sight of the people standing on the polished quartz roof of the casino; at least now he'll finally get some answers.

Next to him, Quackity narrows his eyes. "Nobody should know about this place," he says, lips twisting into a tight frown.

Sam shrugs, shoulders heavy and tense under netherite. "Do you think-"

"-that it's our dynamic fuckin' duo? Yeah," he breathes out, short and quick through his teeth, and his wings stretch and flutter behind him, "I think it might be."

The figures become clearer as they step closer, silhouettes dark and thrown into harsh relief against the backlighting of the sun behind them. One of them is definitely wearing armor - netherite, from the looks of it - and both are very clearly armed. Wonderful.

The taller turns towards them, gestures with a wide sweep of their arm. "Big Q!"

Sam jumps at the voice; Quackity smiles humorlessly. "Wilbur."

Wilbur turns towards the other figure - Dream, for sure then - and they seem to talk, though they are far too far away for Sam to make out anything they say. Dream seems to hand something to Wilbur, and seconds later twin dots of bluish-green arc smoothly towards the ground in front of Sam's feet. He steps back, watching from the corner of his eye as Quackity does the same, and sure enough Wilbur, and then Dream, land on the grass where their enderpearls hit the ground.

"It's been a long time, Big Q, Sam," Wilbur smiles, tight-lipped, confident, tipping his head at each of them as he says their names. He's not wearing any armor save for a crossbow - enchanted - slung loosely over his hip and a netherite sword hanging off of his belt. "How have things been?"

"Cut the crap, Wilbur." The smile stays on Quackity's face, but his eye is dark and cold and dangerous. He's changed - of course he has, you can't do what he's done in Pandora without changing, but the sight of his expression still sends a disturbed shiver down Sam's spine. "You want something."

Wilbur, to his credit, doesn't seem fazed at all. "We've been doing pretty well - I think we've made quite some progress, considering how little time it's been since we've escaped that prison - nice build, by the way, Sam." His voice is lilting, almost sincere, and he looks over at Sam with a laughing light in his eyes like they're sharing an inside joke. "It's really quite impressive - what do you think, Dream?"

Dream doesn't seem to respond; he's all decked out again, netherite covering him from head to toe, the enchanted metal plates completely dwarfing the man hidden within them. His hands clutch at a golden apple, knuckles white against the golden skin, and a plain shield is strapped over his left arm as well a hulking enchanted axe on his back. They've been busy, it seems, and Sam's teeth grind against each other; he's not sure, if it comes down to it, that this is a fight that he and Quackity can win.

"Wilbur," Quackity repeats, impatience creeping into his tone, "What do you want?"

Wilbur smiles wider; it makes Sam uneasy, like Wilbur had been waiting for this, waiting for their desperation to send them at the devil's table with paper in one hand and a pen in the other.

"You're a businessman, aren't you, Big Q? You know how business deals work - so let's talk business. I think we can come up with something agreeable, what do you think?"

Quackity huffs a short laugh- "And what's stopping me and Sam from putting a sword through your gut?"

Wilbur smiles, sharp-edged. "Well, Big Q. Resurrection magic- it's quite interesting, really. Dream was explaining it to me, you know. And here's the thing; how many lives do you think I have right now?"

What- oh. "You have all of your lives back."

"Oh, no, Sam, I'm not saying that, exactly," Wilbur waves his hand flippantly, "I'm just saying you don't know, you know? And if I were to- say, have more than one life, and you were to kill me, well," he shrugs, a thoughtful look on his face. "We were smart enough to set our beds far away from the prison, of course. It would be an awful shame if people were to find out about what the perfect, responsible Warden was allowing in his inescapable prison, wouldn't it?"

No, no, no-

"So you're blackmailing us," Quackity's eyebrows are furrowed, jaw clenched tightly. Wilbur tips his head back and laughs.

"Oh, this isn't a threat, Big Q! Just a few- let's just call them hypotheticals." He begins to pace back and forth, gait smooth and unburdened, "I'm just saying that you two are powerful right now, you know? And it's great! I love this- what was it, Las Nevadas, you're calling it? It's great. It's absolutely magnificent. I'm just saying that you might want to be careful about what people end up finding out; you know people can be about power, on this server, and it would be such a shame to see this place burned to the ground."

Quackity's wings tense, and Sam can already see the younger's mouth opening and his fingers beginning to glow white with him reaching into his inventory, and oh prime if things escalate here then they're so, so screwed-

"Business!" He shouts louder than he wants, Quackity's head snapping towards him, lips still slightly parted from the words that he never got to say, and Sam ignores him to focus his attention on Wilbur, still staring at them with a smile playing on his lips. "You said you would be willing to talk business, right, Wilbur?"

"Yes, of course! Let's talk business. What do you think, Quackity?" Wilbur pauses, looks Quackity in the eye, and the younger glares but doesn't say anything. "Oh, don't worry too much, Big Q. I honestly think that it'll be good for all of us - a mutually beneficial arrangement, if you will."

"Wilbur, just," Sam sighs, fights against the incoming headache. "Can you please just get to the point?"

"Of course, Sam," Wilbur all but chirps, "So- we have something you want, and you have something we want. I say we pool our resources- our knowledge, Dream's combat prowess, your protection and items - and make something better."

"Pool our resources- wait wait wait, you mean you want to fuckin'-"

"I don't know how much Dream has told you, but I've been dead for a pretty long time; there really isn't all that much to do in the Void, you know. I've gotten pretty bloody good at cards, if I do say so myself." Wilbur grabs Dream, ignoring the way he flinches as he slings an arm around his shoulders, "What do you say? Have room in Las Nevadas for two more, Big Q?"

Sam blinks. Prime, give him strength. "What?"

Quackity hisses quietly, "You want to help with Las Nevadas? Both of you?" Sam watches as he turns his glare from Wilbur to Dream, and oh, so that's what this is about. He points his thumb jerkily in the direction of the masked man, watching, as Dream ducks his head down, unable to back away too far with Wilbur's arm still braced behind his neck. "And why should I work with him?"

"Two in one deal, Quackity, you have both of us or nothing at all," Wilbur drawls, "Besides, I know you've wanted the power of the resurrection book - and done quite a lot to get it! I'm really very impressed. Of course, we couldn't simply give it to you, but with us on your side, there's hardly even a difference." Quackity opens his mouth, looking like he's about to protest- "And, really, it would be nice to have Dream on your side in case the Blade comes for your other eye, no?"

His mouth shuts with an audible click, one-eyed glare meeting Wilbur's all-too easy expression, before finally nodding jerkily. "Fine. As long as he doesn't cause too much trouble."

"Oh, don't worry about that," Wilbur claps Dream on the back, and he curls into himself more, arms raising up to his head. "You've done more than enough to keep him obedient."

"We'll have to write out the terms later," Quackity presses on. "Don't want either of you trying anything. I've put so much fuckin' time into this place, I'm not letting you fuck it up, you hear?"

"Of course, Big Q," Wilbur's smile is jagged, all teeth, as he holds his arm out between them. "Wouldn't have it any other way."

Quackity breathes in, out, looks over at Sam. There's a question written in the tight edge of his shoulders, in the way his wings are braced and held to his sides - are we sure about this?

Sam tips his head in a shallow nod. Do we really have a choice?

Quackity takes Wilbur's hand, shakes it. "Then welcome to the team."

Wilbur laughs, and it sounds like flames and explosions and the ground shaking beneath your feet, burns with the cold heat of smoke and ash - and Sam knows, with a bitter, searing certainty, that this is going to collapse around them in a blaze of glory, that they've all but signed their death warrants, have nothing left but to wait for the countdown timer to hit zero and blow this place up to kingdom come. Wilbur meets his eyes - dark, dead, grey like cinders and gunpowder - and he knows that the other man is thinking the same thing.

"I think this is the start to something beautiful," Wilbur says, and Sam grits his teeth as he steps into the building.

Something beautiful, indeed.

Teen Wolf triads are something that can be so personal, so here’s a list of my faves 

Scott/Stiles/Allison

The OG trio. The gang that dies together might not stay together, but they’re still iconic.

Scott/Stiles/Lydia

Any Scott/Stiles/X dynamic is brilliant, but few more than this one. These three have been there since the beginning and they’ve gone through so much together. There’s no Teen Wolf without them. 

Scott/Stiles/Derek

They were the driving force in S1&2 and had some absolutely iconic moments together. Hate that there wasn’t more of them after that. 

Scott/Derek/Isaac 

Mostly based on S2/3. I was very invested in Isaac’s struggle to pick between these two. 

Scott/Stiles/Isaac

This triad’s dynamic completely changes between S2 and 3. In Season 2, Isaac, as part of Derek’s pack is a slightly antagonistic figure and it’s very much Scott&Stiles vs Isaac but in S3, Scott and Isaac grow closer while Isaac and Stiles erm, don’t. It’s very fun to watch. 

Scott/Isaac/Allison

My ot3 and the only trio on this list that I 100% ship. 

Isaac/Erica/Boyd

Ayy, it’s the OG Hale Pack aka 3 teens bonding over being thrown headfirst into something they weren’t prepared for and Derek’s horrible leadership. Isaac should’ve ran away with Erica and Boyd for solidarity’s sake. 

Chris/Allison/Isaac

Chris’s struggle between hating Isaac for dating his daughter and wanting to adopt him is hilarious. One of my favourites. 

Scott/Melissa/Isaac

 Who didn’t completely melt at Isaac joining the McCall fam? The scene where they’re ‘guarding’ Melissa was so cute. As a bonus, it made Stiles’s animosity towards Isaac that much stronger. Will forever hate that this trio was more or less non-existent in 3b even though I love Chris/Allison/Isaac. 

Derek/Cora/Peter

The non-dead Hales. Why oh why did Cora have to leave? Their family dynamic was great. 

Allison/Lydia/Cora

I know they only had a couple scenes as a triad, but there was so potential. We love antagonism with underlying sexual tension. And ofc, the only thing better than 1 terrifying badass that can secretly be super sweet is 3 terrifying badasses. 

Derek/Isaac/Boyd

At one point, the only non-dead members of the Hale Pack (TW quickly amended that). I always think of the S3a Loft scene where Boyd and Isaac skip school to protect Derek. Despite how awful of an alpha Derek’s been, they still care about him and he cares about them (as actual people and not just betas that he needs for power like he did originally)

Derek/Allison/Lydia. 

Yes it’s my 5th s3 based trio in a row, but can you blame me? This is 100% based off the classroom scene in 3x02. 

Allison/Lydia/Jackson

Although Lydia and Jackson were both awful in S1, their friendship with Allison and their immediately taking her under their wing was beyond precious. Additionally, it combines both the asshole-who’s-soft-towards-1-person- dynamic (jydia w/ allison) and assholes-who-secretly-care-about-each-other (jydia) And ofc, the underlying tension due to Jydia’s disdain towards Scott and later, Jackson and Allison’s experiences/knowledge of the supernatural. 

Malia/Kira/Lydia

Comedy gold. Their scenes speak for themselves and we needed more. 

Liam/Mason/Corey

Their S6a dynamic is sooo underrated and should’ve been given more screen time. I loved watching Liam and Corey struggle to get along for Mason’s sake because they want him to be happy. It was all very wholesome and one of the few things that made 6a worth watching. 

Stiles/Scott/Liam

Aka the best part of S4.Their dynamic is so fun and well-balanced and infinitely better because they’re a triad. You’ve got Scott and Liam figuring out their mentor/mentee relationship with Stiles co-parenting and preventing the Scott/Liam dynamic from turning unhealthy. (Liam and Scott’s S6 dynamic veered way too close to parent/child for my taste. They need Stiles to balance it out) It’s also hilarious how quickly Liam accepts being aggressively adopted by two idiots who are barely older than him. And Stiles takes so easily to playing older brother/co-parent. It’s adorable. They’re adorable. 

Erica/Allison/Lydia 

Very similar dynamic to Allison/Lydia/Cora due to Cora and Erica’s similar personalities but also not, which has a lot to do with Allison and Lydia’s reactions to Erica’s weaponized feminity. Also, there’s a lot more history between these girls and I want to know everything about what Erica thinks of Lydia after going to school with her for years. 

Sherriff/Melissa/Chris 

Of the top of my head, I can only remember that time where they were trapped under the Nemeton and that’s simply unacceptable. 

Sheriff/Noshiko/Melissa. 

It’s a crime that this triad never got scenes. Especially after the Sheriff tried to arrest Kira. I know Melissa bitch slapped him but I wanted to watch these two badasses gang up on the Sheriff together. ( the Noshiko/Melissa dynamic would be so iconic.) 

Victoria/Noshiko/Melissa

Another triad that never shared scenes (obviously because Vic is dead) but their power would’ve been off the charts. I want to make a joke about milfs, but I’ll refrain. 

The Yukimura fam

Seemed appropriate since my last two also included. Noshiko.I love family dynamics and the Yukimuras are no exception. The attraction of this triad, for me, is mostly the dynamic between Kira and Noshiko and how Ken navigates between them. They’re also a trio that we didn’t see nearly enough of in S4 and 5. Like seriously, where were they? Noshiko’s on the dead pool, but she’s barely mentioned. (on a mostly unrelated note, how is the 900 yr old Kitsune worth less than a girl that just found about her kitsune powers?)

Derek/Allison/Scott

I don’t need to explain this one. The angst, the drama, Derek projecting Kate onto Allison and Allison trying to murder Derek and their evolution to reluctant allies with a good dash of Scallison and Scott navigating his own difficult relationship with Derek. Aka the complicated, tension fraught trio we all loved/should love. ( ok, I kind of explained it)

Derek/Scott/Liam 

And here we have a two for one deal; two mentor/mentee dynamics in 1 triad. People much smarter than me have written about this trio in extensive detail, so all I’m saying is that Derek’s that one uncle who occasionally comes around and gives somewhat helpful advice. 

Braeden/Malia/Scott 

Braeden and Scott were great in S4. Braeden and Malia were great in S5. Scott and Malia are pretty great when they’re not in a relationship. Combine, and you get what had to be a kick-ass triad that’s sadly never canonly shown together (I think)

Melissa/Chris/Isaac

Not actually featured in the show, but Isaac deserves all the parental figures and I want to witness the surely epic custody battle between Chris and Melissa. 

Malia/Scott/Peter

That this trio is on here is actually pretty funny because I hate both Scalia and the forced Peter/Malia bonding in S6. But I loved the scene where Peter warned Malia not to fall in love with Scott because a) he has absolutely 0 right to advise her on anything and b) because of the history between Scott and Peter. In a way, a relationship with Malia is just another thing tying Scott to someone that’s repeatedly caused harm to him and his friends and was the initial cause for all the pain he’s suffered in the last couple years. I just find this dynamic worth exploring. 

Malia/Derek/Peter

The Hales 2.0. Derek and Malia deserve to bond over unwillingly being related to Peter, that scumbag. 

Malia/Stiles/Peter

Stiles and Peter are so fun together and Stalia is my jam. Throw in an antagonistic Malia and Peter relationship and they’re entertaining as hell. Much more lighthearted than Malia/Scott/Peter.  

Stiles/Malia/Lydia 

To clarify, this has nothing to do with a love triangle and everything to do with how their personalities play off each other. It’s one of those trios where together, they’re either terrifying or absolute morons. 

Stiles/Cora/Derek

Admittedly, my version of this is very Sterek+Cora and the hilarity of Stiles and his attraction to Hales but it’s also 3x snark and you really can’t go wrong. 

Scott/Stiles/Melissa 

It’s Melissa and her boys 1.0. This woman is by far the best parent on this show, and I love the specific dynamic among these three. Melissa might not always like Stiles, but she cares about him and there’s the mutual understanding that they both adore Scott and would do anything for him. Also, Mel being exasperated by the dumbass duo is always funny.  

Kate/Allison/Chris

Lowkey another custody battle because Kate and Chris do fight to be the bigger influence on Allison This is such a tragic trio to me, and the lesson here is basically that sometimes love isn’t enough. Chris and Kate both genuinely love Allison and she loves them too but can’t have both and at some point, she has neither. Kate and Chris care about each other, but that’s not enough either. In the end, they all lose each other. There’s no happy ending for them, at least not with each other. 

Derek/Stiles/Peter

Stiles just has chemistry (not necessarily romantic) with all Hales and this trio really shines through in 3x01 and in S3 in general. “Chess is Stiles’s game” asgdhfjgh. I wanted more of that very specific dynamic.

if prue had met paige how would they get along and what do you think would happen? and do you think they have any similarities? I would love your full meta on this

Honestly, anon, I’ve thought about this a lot over the years and I still struggle to imagine what would’ve happened if Prue and Paige had met and what their relationship would’ve been like. There are so many possibilities and factors to take into consideration. If you ask me on another day, you might even get a different response, but here are my thoughts on this topic.

If Piper had died instead of Prue in All Hell Breaks Loose and season 4 started in the exact same way, I think Prue would’ve reacted to Paige the same way as Piper did. Recently, I’ve become more and more aware of the ways that Piper was turned into Prue 2.0 from season 4 onwards and this is what demonstrates it most for me. Piper’s reaction to losing Prue and finding Paige is exactly how I’d imagine Prue’s would be. The only difference is that Prue would’ve been worse. As the eldest sister, Prue felt it was her solemn duty to protect her sisters. She shouldered the burden of responsibility and was devoted to keeping them safe. If either one of them had died on her watch, the damage it would’ve done to her would’ve been irreparable. Prue would not have been grief stricken,  she’d feel like she’d failed, that it was her fault and she would’ve been adamant that she was going to do something to bring Piper back, no matter the cost. If that failed, she’d turn her attention to revenge. All of this would’ve made it very difficult, if not impossible, for Prue to accept Paige or even remotely open herself up to the possibility of having another sister. Prue would be enraged - at the injustice of Piper’s death, at herself for failing Piper, at Leo for not being able to heal Piper, at the Elders for not doing more and at Penny and Patty for lying to her about Paige her entire life. Her emotions would be overwhelming and because of her stubbornness, it would most likely take her longer to push past that than it did for Piper. The one thing that would bring Prue around to Paige would be her being in danger. Knowing that The Source/Shax was after Paige would make Prue determined to stop him. That’d most likely result in a transference, whereby her anger and grief became an unhealthy obsession with hunting Shax down and killing him for revenge. I could really see Prue going completely rogue like Leo in season 6 with Gideon. She would stop at nothing to avenge Piper’s death.

Prue’s resistance to Paige wouldn’t be because of Paige, it would be because of herself - because of her grief and identity crisis as the eldest sister. But I think once she started to accept Piper’s death, she would’ve gone in the complete opposite direction and embraced Paige fiercely to overcompensate for the loss of Piper. This would involve her taking Paige under her wing, being overly protective, teaching her about the craft and acknowledging that Paige was an innocent. Paige would be Prue’s second chance in a sense - a chance to be the eldest sister again and to forge an eldest-youngest sibling relationship more positive than the one she had with Phoebe. Prue’s growth and foresight from her experiences with Phoebe would allow her to be more patient and understanding regarding Paige’s recklessness and impulsivity. It would also improve her relationship with Phoebe because she’d turn to Phoebe for advice and guidance, and to keep her grounded. Phoebe would fulfil that middle sister role perfectly. I think Paige’s inferiority complex with Prue in canon would’ve transformed into her viewing Prue as a role model if Prue had survived. Prue’s natural flair and dedication to witchcraft would’ve inspired Paige and allowed her to develop her skills and powers at an even faster and greater extent than she did in canon. There’d definitely be a power struggle between them, particularly in the early days, because both of them are stubborn and independent. In the original dynamic, Prue was used to having control and making decisions for the group, but Paige wasn’t the sort of person to sit back and take orders. Overall, I think the two of them would’ve butted heads a lot and had a very rocky start, but eventually it would evolve into a beautiful dynamic. Prue would’ve taken more time to guide Paige, not just as a witch but as a person. In season 4, Paige was a lost soul. She was an orphan without a family, she was working a job that she believed in but wasn’t satisfied with and she had a lot of ‘what ifs’ and ‘maybes’ going on. Prue would’ve helped her with this. Furthermore, their similar personalities and approaches would instil them with a mutual respect and understanding, whilst their strength and dedication to witchcraft would lead them to be a powerhouse duo.

Regarding their similarities, Prue and Paige’s main similarity was their perspective on magic. They saw their duties as witches as important and they were devoted to saving innocents. Prue and Paige considered being a witch a proper job as much as any other traditional job. They always went that step further in practising or perfecting their craft, and never wished away their powers or perceived magic as a burden. They were also both incredibly strong willed and operated on their gut instincts, which were nearly always right. They had a creative streak - Paige with painting and Prue with photography - and this is something that would bond them. Prue and Paige were also the two sisters out of the four that felt the least traditional. By which I mean they never seemed as concerned with motherhood or marriage as Piper and Phoebe did. They were more driven by their careers and being a witch (and/or whitelighter in Paige’s case). I’d also say that Prue and Paige were natural leaders. Their drive, determination and skill when it came to witchcraft meant they were full of ideas and actively thrived on their work as witches. Both also had the confidence, intelligence, power and empathy to take the lead. Obviously, this is the one similarity that would’ve caused tension between them as they grappled to be the leader. However, I think it would’ve led to growth for both of them. Prue would’ve learned to let go a little more and to trust Paige to take over, and Paige would’ve learned to respect that although she had ideas and drive, Prue was the more experienced and wiser sister.

Overall, Prue and Paige are a complex dynamic to analyse because it’s all based on guess work. The fact that I feel like I know both characters quite well does help to some extent, but not enough. However, I think if you look to Piper and Paige’s relationship you’ll see almost a carbon copy of what Prue and Paige’s relationship would’ve looked like. That’s really because the sister dynamics on Charmed aren’t shaped by the characters personalities as much as they are by the sister hierarchy. Allow me to explain.

There are two main sister groupings:

1. Prue, Piper and Phoebe 2. Piper, Phoebe and Paige

Within these two groupings there are always 3 sister pairings: eldest-middle, eldest-youngest, middle-youngest. Now let’s look at the pairings that fall under these headings and compare.

Eldest-middle

Prue and Piper

Piper and Phoebe

Both dynamics are characterised by mutual love and understanding. These two pairings get on very well - their relationships are loving, affectionate and are best friends as well as sisters. The eldest has a level of responsibility and burden that comes from being the eldest, that only the middle sister can fully appreciate and understand. The middle sister is fully allied with the eldest and supportive of what they do and how they do it. This leads the eldest sister to lean on the middle sister to be in her corner and to keep her grounded. For the eldest sister, the middle sister represents consistency - somebody who will always be there. The eldest sister feels protective about the middle sister whom they feel a deep bond to and at various points the eldest sister feels she has let down the middle sister in her duty to protect her (1. Prue lets Piper down in Coyote Piper and 2. Piper lets Phoebe down in Queen of the Underworld). Overall, the eldest-middle dynamic is a plain sailing dynamic of two best friends who are extremely close and rely upon each other.

Eldest-youngest

Prue and Phoebe

Piper and Paige

Both dynamics are characterised by an initial clash of personalities and power struggle. The eldest struggles with the youngest’s recklessness and lack of responsibility. The youngest finds the eldest judgemental, mean and too serious. As a result, the eldest sister chastises the youngest sister, pushing the youngest sister further away, making her want to rebel and go off on her own. Nonetheless, despite surface level disdain, the eldest sister is fiercely protective of the youngest and the youngest seeks the eldest’s approval and respects them immensely. Tensions prevail between the two; they disagree on how to approach situations and struggle to work together without clashing. However, over time, the eldest and youngest are able to push their differences aside, empathise, develop patience and appreciate the other sister for how she is different to herself.

Middle-youngest

Piper and Phoebe

Phoebe and Paige

Similar to the eldest-middle, this relationship is one between friends. However, it operates on the basis that the middle sister understands the youngest sister where the eldest one fails. The middle sister probably finds the youngest sister’s naivety irritating at times, but mostly they find it endearing and accept them for who they are. The middle sister strives to bridge the gap between the eldest and youngest, as a result the youngest relies on the middle sister as her greatest ally. If the youngest sister is in a tight spot, she will turn to the middle sister for non-judgemental support and advice.

So you see, the sister dynamics follow this same formula no matter who happens to be in the duo. The nuances of these sister relationships do differ, but the foundation of them is rooted in these outlines which were established by Constance M. Burge when she first created the show. Therefore, Prue and Paige would fall into the eldest-youngest and have a similar dynamic to Piper and Paige or Prue and Phoebe. Although I personally believe Piper and Paige is more reflective of the relationship Prue and Paige would’ve had, particularly in the beginning.

Dirty and Useless (Part 3)

Summary: Jason Todd had always said there were only two types of cop; Dirty and Useless. So when Y/N comes along with a spunky partner and a laughable code name it’s safe to say they don’t exactly see eye to eye. But if they’ve got anything in common it’s their secrets. A/N: Just a head up, Bruce Wayne is kind of portrayed as a really bad father in this.

"You're the Nightingale," Jason fawned he sat across from the disinterested girl. "As in lost daughter of Batman, Nightingale."

"Yup," Y/N grumbled as she busied herself with repairing the damaged Robin suit.

Y/N didn't like talking about her father to anyone, especially not the replacement of her replacement. In fact, Y/N didn't even like thinking about her father. For a while, the girl had even entertained the idea that she didn't have a father, that she was simply alone in the world. Depressing as it sounded, she found it was a more peaceful state of mind then what she now had.

"Oh man, you and Dick are like my idols." Y/N tried not to wince at his statement. "I mean Alfred and Bruce talk about you all the time. And your work in the Batcave? I made some upgrades to the Batcomputer myself and all but your coding is almost perfect."

Y/N dropped her head for a moment, "They let you touch my fucking computer?"

The boy pulled a face that roughly translated to; Well yeah. If Y/N hadn't punched this kid already she would have hit him now. But she stopped herself if only because she didn't need Jason to go crying to Bruce Wayne. Really, she didn't want any attention from the Caped Crusader. So, for now, she could play nice with Boy Blunder 2.0.

"Could you please just shut up, replacement?" A shame, really, that she'd never actually learnt the definition of playing nice.

The taken aback expression on Jason Todd's face didn't last long, "So how exactly did the Princess of Gotham end up in Chicago with a cop partner and an alias like Sparrow?"

Y/N sighed through her nose and tried to focus on the chest plate in her hands. She'd have to find where she'd left the leftover Zylon fabric from her last project. Of course, nowadays she made everything out of Dyneema SB61 - a plastic stronger than ever Zylon. Not that she used any of the newer suits she'd made, but sometimes it was hard to stifle the voice that sung to create something, anything. Besides, having a few Nightingale suits in her closet just in case wasn't a bad idea.

But considering the suit was outdated by several years she'd have to dig up the old stuff. Meaning Zylon fibres from the basement and- She'd completely lost herself in thought. Y/N looked up at Jason who stared curiously at her, awaiting a response. Oh god, what was the question? The boy repeated himself exasperatedly.

"Well, I-" Y/N frowned to herself. "The Sparrow is a symbol of protection, simplicity, teamwork and freedom. The freedom to choose between good and evil, I never had that as Nightingale. Or that's what I think, it's just what the Bureau calls us."

For a moment Y/N thought Jason was choking again, "Bureau? You work for the FBI? Aren't you like, my age?"

"Daughter of the Greatest Detective of all time. Besides, I don't really work for them, they just hand over a case and I do it." She shrugged, running a cloth across the suit to make sure the acid was gone.

"And your partner, Melody?"

"Melisa," Y/N hissed. "I rescued her from an illegal meta-human experiment. Her thing is enhanced senses and integrated battle reflexes, plus a silver tongue but I'm pretty sure that's just her. We are the Sparrows."

"So why'd you run away?"

"You sure do ask a lot of questions boy blunder." She pressed her lips together firmly, a glare set heavily into her features. Y/N set the chest plate onto the coffee table and stood, "I can fix it but I'm not sure it's worth it, most of it's outdated. May as well get another made."

Jason shook his head and dragged the armour plate toward himself, "B said the Joker killed the guy who made them a while back. This is the last Robin suit he made so-"

"Yeah, of course, he said that."

"And that's supposed to mean..?"

Dick wandered into the room, frowning at the tension he sensed between the two nineteen-year-olds. The eldest Robin seemed to read the situation quickly, he gave his successor a bemused look. Y/N refrained from glaring at either one of them.

Dick snorted, "Y/N made the suits."

"And the last Robin suit? Please, there at least a half dozen in the Batcave." Y/N rolled her eyes, "Typical of him to try and pretend I didn't exist though."

A cross between an unamused snort and an indignified scoff escaped the new Robin. Jason Todd stood up, towering over the girl even as she glared defiantly up at him. An unending rage burned in the woman's eyes even as cool anger radiated from Jason's. Dick stood awkwardly to the side, watching helplessly as fire met ice.

"You're just jealous." Jason seethed.

"Jealous?"

"That Bruce took me in, instead of looking for you."  He said simply. "You're jealous because even when you were around he decided he needed Robin. You know even the cops in Gotham refuse to help him find you, no matter how much money he offers. They don't care that you ran away."

"I didn't run away!" Y/N burst and like a tidal wave, it all came crashing down. "I was emancipated, meaning I became an adult and stopped living under my father's thumb. Those cops are doing their job."

The boy wonder spluttered for a moment, "I- Why would you... I mean what-"

"Growing up there was no one, except for my father, Alfred and an empty mansion. For years all I did was train to be worthy of the great Batman. And then one day he was just, there. This little bird with a broken foot, that I could hold in one hand; a robin. I thought that I'd nurse him back to health and he'd leave, just like everything else left. But he just stayed there and I-" Y/N wiped harshly at the tears that threatened to send her over the edge.

"Then a year later," Y/N spread her hands out, examining them as if wondering how she had let it all slip through her fingers. "It's back to an empty mansion and I just stopped. I didn't eat, I didn't sleep, I didn't train. I guess it finally caught my father's attention because he made a plan. A new Robin, a new friend and then Batman could have his Nightingale back in action."

Even Dick blinked at her, "Y/N I didn't know I-"

"And then Batman decided that he didn't want a Nightingale, so the dynamic duo was born. Batman and Robin against the world right?" She sniffled, "So I filed my case and left. I didn't have to watch him weaponize the Robin like he did to Nightingale like he did to me. Finally, finally, I have it all figured out and then Boy Wonder drops in," A dead, hollow look fills her reddened eyes, "His first words to me are; who the fuck are you?"

"Look Y/N," Dick tried to console only to once again be cut off, "He didn't mean-"

"Who the fuck am I?" She rubbed her hands over her face, "I'll be gone by first light. Chicago's been... tainted. I hear Star City is nice this time of the year. Actually, no, it sounds like a shit hole but you take what you can get I guess. I hope to see you never, boy blunders."

Y/N scooped up her handbag and stalked from the room without so much as a wave. Jason turned to stare at Dick who simply gave him an accusing look. The second Robin glanced back at his suit guessing that he'd have to repair it himself. The movement didn't go unnoticed by the first Robin who rolled his eyes and huffed.

"It's not like all that was my fault," Jason grumbled lowly.

"Yeah," Dick snorted. "I'm pretty sure it was."

"Well, what am I supposed to do?"

Dick gave him an incredulous look, "With Y/N? Let her leave the city in peace."

Yeah, Jason probably should have done that.

Pairing Up BnHA Characters

I for one support a lot of pairings in this show, but unless you ship poly ships (which I just don’t out of preference) most characters can only end up with one person, so I thought I’d go through the class and figure out which pairings I like the most for all of the characters in a way that puts as many characters into ships or pairings as possible.

Izuchako

Although I’m not a big fan of this pairing, and I think their chemistry is rather lacking, poorly-written, and underdeveloped, I feel as though it’s worth admitting that this is probably endgame. Although Deku would be a good fit for Todoroki, and I actually prefer him with Todoroki, I can admit that based on the conventions of anime, this is the most probable pairing. It doesn’t help that Uraraka has almost no nice moments with anyone else except maybe Iida and a nice friendship with Tsu, so while Deku has better options, I don’t see Uraraka having any better relationship options, and it’s also the most likely to happen so I kinda just have to accept that. Maybe Horikoshi will break conventions and treat them like real high schoolers with a crush and they’ll end up realizing it was never more than puppy love and end up with other people, but as it is looking right now, this relationship is here to stay whether I like it or not. All I can do is hope their chemistry, and more importantly, Uraraka’s rather bland lack of personality gets improved.

Kiribaku

I am a pretty loud and avid supporter of this ship. I would be lying if I said that my enjoyment of this show wasn’t largely enhanced by the budding romance between these two. I sincerely hope that these two become a canon couple not just because it would be good LGBT rep to have two gay superheroes little kids could look up to and be inspired by, not just because it would satisfy my fanboy heart to no end, but because this is honestly one of the best written romances I have ever seen. There’s also just a very deep personal connection to this pairing I have that affects the way I view them.

Hatsumiida

This is a pairing I ship primarily because Iida doesn’t really have any other character he’s officially paired with. About the only characters I’ve seen with a good claim to dating Iida are Deku, Uraraka, Inasa, and Momo. But since everyone else is better off with someone else, this is who I feel is best for Iida without stepping on any other ships. Maybe it’s more of a joke ship, but Iida seems to mostly be a comic relief character of the comically serious variety. So it makes sense that even his relationship would be something of a joke or a comedic duo.

Momojiro

Initially, I was more invested in Kamijiro, but as the manga has kept going, I’ve found I prefer Kaminari with someone else, so Momojiro rose to the top of my preferences for Jiro’s romantic partners, though I still stand by the headcanon that Jiro is bisexual or pansexual.

Shinkami

Although I’m not holding my breath for this ship to happen, I like the idea of it. Sort of a Erasermic 2.0. But if you prefer Kamisero, I completely understand, and I would have been torn between the two of them, except sunshine x stormcloud is like a personal weakness when it comes to ships.

Tetsukendo

We haven’t gotten to see much of this relationship, but they seem really cute and I look forward to seeing where they go.

Inatodo

As much as I like Tododeku, I always liked the passion and dynamic between these two. Although I hated Inasa initially for bringing out Todoroki’s petty side during the exam, I ended up really liking their chemistry by the end, and I feel like since Deku is more than likely going to end up with Uraraka, this pairing is simply far more realistic.

Miritama

Another pairing between literal sunshine and a stormy raincloud? Sign me up yesterday. I love their bond and the way they mutually support one another. Despite all of Tamaki’s worrying, he’s the one who inspires Mirio to keep pushing himself, and that dedication is what drives Tamaki to keep fighting the good fight. They’re both better for having known each other, and they wouldn’t be where they are now without each other’s love and support. Second best couple hands down after Kiribaku.

Hawksdeavor

Yes, I am fully aware that Endeavor is evil and nearly twice his age, but I’m a sucker for the “love redeems” trope. Heck, one could even say it’s similar to Kiribaku, especially since there’s some not so subtle similarities between Endeavor and Bakugo. I like that Endeavor is working so hard to be a better person, and I think the light-hearted young man is the right person for the job.

Episode 3 - “This music video is kinda hot to be quite honest.” - Raffy

I think this may be the end of me. The worst possible thing has happened. We are tribe swapping....I'm the only member of my tribe over here.....its a 5-1-1......oof Can I get an F in chat? Here's to good luck and hope that there is fracture within the 5.

I am kind of glad to be swapped because it means that I am no longer stuck with a losing tribe. But, it seems no one knows how to edit which just sucks because that will surely mean we will lose the challenge. On the plus side, I have Mac and Jay with me. Our alliance will be stronger than ever! However, Mac let slip earlier that he knows a lot more people than he lets on which means I will allow him to choose the target if we go to tribal council as I don't need to accidentally target someone he's friends with. I feel that I can make stronger connections on my current tribe way more easily than with my old tribe.

Ben and Evelyn went. Inacts. Bye. Now it’s swap. I’m down the street when I see the “Announcement” pop up and I’m like AHH SHIT. Despite being hesitant about editing, I think I am actually doing a pretty good job at this! This is probably going to be the best music video I've ever put together. Brien was talking to me earlier about how he thinks this tribe isn't going to be based on tribal lines. That the game would be more dynamic if we play without it. But, here's the thing, I don't believe that. I think we need to get rid of an original Good member since one of those people will come back if we go to tribal. Plus he wanted to get info out of me already on my old tribe like.... we're not that close bro. At least not yet.

My dumbass not submitting any confessionals before episode 3. Gotta love that INV1 rating! So, lots has happened. Gizmo and Cameron are sneaky sneaks who have been playing all sides and just being chaotic little shits. Our tribe had multiple alliances by like day 2, even before the first challenge results. Slow down there! We ended up coming in second in a challenge but since 2/3 tribes we’re going To tribal we still had to go. Eve was voted out 4-1-1 against Cameron and ME! How dare they?? I think it was Eve who voted me but whatever. And then we swapped into two tribes! And this is basically Nova Scotia 2.0. We’ve got me and Mac and Jessie! We’ll see if that goes anywhere if we lose a challenge. (This rounds is music videos 🤮) So anyways Brien, Lukas and I are sticking together for a bit based on OG tribes, and I’ll see if I can’t get Jessie or Jay (who I just voted out of Atomic oop) to work with us. But that leaves Mac and Raffy in the outs? Who I both enjoy a lot. So, we’ll see what happens. I don’t see myself being a target right away but you never know.

Well, I did not like this challenge at all. I'm a pretty shy person so this was really out of my comfort zone. Unfortunately I wasn't able to film a whole lot due to having to travel this weekend, but! I still at least got something in to show I tried. I may have figured a way to get myself into majority which I really need. I just hope we can get it all sorted out today.

In any case, I am hoping to target either Lukas or Brien. I have talked to Lukas the least which is problematic, and Brien is always on game mode seemingly. He's been talking strategy despite not even going to tribal. That's a potential threat. However, I am going to let other people take the lead for this vote. I just want to focus on socially and strategically positioning myself with people that like me.

so uhhh....we’re doing my least favorite challenge. Music videos are the bane of my existence. I always end up editing and I refuse to do it now. Paolo is supposed to be our editor, but he has gone AWOL. I mean...I could offer to edit, but like.....why not let Paolo lose the challenge for us and then vote him out? Seems like an easy option to me. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The swap Tituba tribe are safe. HOT. Now. I’m super happy since this is the first time this season I’m immune. I can’t talk game with Liam and I hate this. But omg I need Alex safe. I also need Liam safe. Hopefully someone flops and they can leave. If my tribe lost, I’m pretty sure I would’ve had the numbers to send Keegan home. I make Brien seem like he’s in control of the vote while working with Jay and Raffy for a 4-3 vote or a 5-2 vote. That difference would be if Jessie was on my side or not.

Sad days. It's my first tribal of the season in the post tribe swap, and I'm not really sure where I've ended up on the tribe. I haven't spoken a word to Alex, and I voted Zach out in a prior game, so I don't know if he'll hold that against me. I like Austin, Gizmo, and Dylan, but we've never had a chance to talk game or work together yet. I'm also nervous that people will target me since I did such a bad job at editing compared to the other team, but who knows. It's gonna be a free for all on my end.

The other tribe, Osbourne, is going to tribal. In our tribe, it’s a 3-3-1 split. On the other tribe, it’s a 5-1-1 split. The 1 person also has the 5 from the other tribe, making all six. That’s worrying. If one of those 5 don’t go home then we may have to throw a challenge or two and make sure the 1 leaves. The only issue, that 1 is Jessie, and I really like them as a person. My new tribe has 3 OG Good; Keegan, Lukas, Brien, as well as 3 Osbourne; myself, Jay and Raffy. Brien is the outlier with Lukas and Keegan being close. Brien fed me useful info of Gizmo being new and close to Lukas and Keegan. On my personal hitlist; is Lukas, Keegan and Austin. I don’t trust those 3 out of the people left in the cast, even despite me and Austin never interacting yet. Austin is sweet but their style gameplay is a lil cutthroat. Pretty much what I’m saying is whoever goes from the opposing tribe is who I target in this tribe when we go to tribal. Either Jessie, or the Keegan/Lukas duo. Keegan definitely voted for Cameron bc he was scared of an idol I’m fairly certain of it but I understand why he did so I’m not mad at him and I think I trust him on this new tribe more then Lukas. But I fear they are a duo and I wanna talk to Jessie and tell her my fears so she knows she can trust me and maybe me her and Keegan can be a group. I wanna work with Jessie bc I know her pregame and met her irl but the only problem is her original tribe has not lost a member and if we don’t vote her out here then the other tribe might stick together and get Alex and Gizmo out before turning on eachother then we could have all of them at a merge which would not be ideal. So I gotta weigh if keeping Jessie as an ally is worth that happening. I had a good convo with Mac Idk where will stand on this new tribe but I wanna work with him bc I think he will always be perceived as more threatening then me. He even bought up the idea of a tengagers alliance with everyone in the game that has a tengaged which is me him Liam Alex and Cameron we will see if all of us are still around come merge time but I’m excited to maybe make that reality once we merge. We both kinda agreed Austin is shady. Keegan Mac and Jessie all just played atomic together which worries me that they will want to stick together on this tribe but I definitely want to work with Mac and I need to make sure he knows it. Atm the person I’m least closest to on my tribe is Jay so if we lose I’d want to try to make a move on him possibly. I wanna work with raffy but he sketches me out in our pms and isn’t willing to give me any info. I fear Keegan and Lukas are too close and I’m a 3rd wheel for them I wanna see if I can enlist macs help to take one of them out maybe Lukas because he talks to me less then Keegan does

I can't believe that I won a music video challenge with my editing skills. I am so proud of that video! I am going to take the time that we are immune to bond more with my tribe. I think I have gotten the best vibes from Keegan and Jessie. Brien is middling. Lukas and I don't really connect that well. I think I am still good with Jay and Mac, so there's no worry on that front. Now that I edited my tribe to victory, they will all probably like me and want to work with me a lot more. There's the benefit of volunteering as editor hehe.

So right now I would definitely consider Mac my number one ally and I wanna keep that lowkey so no one sees us as a duo he suggested throwing the next 2 challenges to get a mix of Jessie, Keegan and Lukas out which is interesting and throwing challenges rarely works but I love going to tribal so Im not gonna say no to it. Plus if it helps gizmo stay in the game on the other tribe longer that’s good. I really like him and want to see him make the merge and then maybe we can work together at the merge Mac really seems to think merge will be at 12 and I’m not too sold on that we could have a swap or not merge at 12 So the way this tribe is it’s me and mad together and he is playing Raffy and jay and I’m playing Lukas and Keegan and idk where Jessie figures into all this but I feel bad that she may have to go simply for numbers sake if one of her original tribe doesn’t go at this tribal. I’m trying my best to be social with everyone and I think I’m a good spot to not go if we go to 2 or even 3 tribals in this tribe that’s another reason I’m not opposed to throwing the challenges. I don’t see a reason jay would trust Keegan after he voted him out in atomic so we may be able to get a 5 person majority against Keegan and Lukas who I made sure Mac knew they were right. Or if we have to we can maybe get a unanimous vote against Jessie. Mac and I made all these grand plans to make the end game and have specific numbers come merge but things never work out the way you plan them so I need to have a plans b through z at the ready and I don’t wanna put all my eggs in the Mac train atm even though I think I convinced him to trust me and he can until I feel I can’t beat him or he is more loyal to someone else *cough cough* Liam they are both hosts together on tengaged I played their game so they are close but mac is certainly trying to downplay it I need Keegan and Lukas to trust me until it’s too late for them. Will I have some remorse going for my original tribe ehh not really in games if I see I better route or a better opportunity I’m gonna take it. I think I’m the real swing vote when we have to go to tribal especially if Keegan really thinks he can get Jessie on our side. So that puts me in an interesting spot a spot where I could be loyal to my OG tribe or I could make a move a change the direction of my game for the better. It’s weird bc I’ll have enemies after I make my choice but I need to make sure the allies I make won’t turn on me after I side with them. Idk the choice I’m gonna make yet I need to weigh out the pros and cons and decide accordingly but one thing is for sure I’ll be in charge at the next vote

Well, we lost the music video challenge. Can't say I'm surprised, we took forever to get it together. There isn't as much activity on this tribe as far as I can see at least. I really want to survive this tribal. I think I've gotten myself into a good position. I'm in a 4 person alliance which is majority, but who knows if they're being honest. I'm currently trying to get in with the three other tribe members. If i can position myself as the swing vote I think that would be good for me at least for this vote.

Flirting with Brien is fun. Maybe that'll bring us closer and he'll be my goat hehe. But who can never be sure

Jay brought up in the alliance chat what we are going to do if we have to go to tribal in the future. He's just trying to get out there who would be receptive of working with us (me, Mac, and him). Jay says that he's talked the most with Brien and Lukas. That is strange because I barely talk to Lukas. I probably should get on that. I said I talked the most with Brien and Jessie. I really want to sell them on Jessie so that we can make her work with us which will help us gain a majority on this tribe without stepping on tribal lines. Mac has yet to wake up, so I'm waiting to see what he thinks. It sounds like our alliance might want to work with Brien eventually, but we shall see. I am very hesitant to even mention working with anyone because I do not want to step on toes so early on. Maybe I should try to keep my mouth shut on game talk and work on being social for the time being.

Mac is spilling the hot tea today. He wants to throw the next immunity challenge to take out either Keegan or Lukas. I am in love with this idea as it puts the target on Mac instead of myself since he was the one who said it. I will just let people fight my battles for me until merge to avoid the big target. Apparently, Keegan is a past winner and Lukas is popular in the community. So, if we take them out now, then we can set ourselves up in a power position late down the line. I can see why Mac made POTS. He is definitely a strategic threat and has a very analytical mind. When I backstab him, I need to do it swiftly and effectively. I hoping that Jay follows through with the plan. I believe that we will target Keegan as he has not been the most active in the chats at all. This could make him the easy vote out. I want to include Jessie in on the plan in order to establish a strong connection with her. This is so when we do merge that she won't fall back to her old tribe and will fall back to us.

So uh........,,.,,.,.,..,shit hit the fan. Apparently Austin is targeting Dylan and I do yeehaw. I think Dylan and I are going to try and pull votes for austin.

When that chat was created between Alex, Austin, Gizmo & Myself I knew I had to expose it! AND THAT'S WHAT YA BOI DID!
