Certain magical game is coming out very soon and every gameplay video with brooms I've seen from it makes me suffer. You see, I'm a nerd for Quidditch and love the idea of broom flying sports. Sadly, most of brooms in media and art seem to be sentient and choosing their own direction, with flyer only passively sitting on them, or they're animated lazily without taking any physics into account. It's magic after all! As an unashamed horse girl I find a notion that a broom flyer 'just sits there' dumb. There's so much fun in rping training and taking care of flying gear. So much to explore when a broom is not just a prop for pinup photo, and there's actual work of a human to fly it. So I'm making a short guide about what I mean, when I say you need muscles to be a Quidditch player, but it's not limited to the terfy author's world. I hope this inspires someone to think their brooms through and have fun with them! (And please, if you prefer to just have it explained by 'magic duh' and don't like expanding sports of your worldbuilding just ignore the guide)

Love the Guest Room, it feels like a flash game I'd play back in 2010. HOWEVER, it does answer a question of mine: are there magic tools that Yuu can use without needing to have magic?

The answer is yes. Yes, there are. Which means we've been cheated out of useful tools that could've made life much easier, specially in universe. Thanks, Crowley, for never thinking of maybe giving the magicless student a magical tool to protect them when they inevitably have to clean up the mess your neglect towards your students' mental health cause. Very generous.

That said, what about the brooms? Are they magical on their own or do they need magic input? Did they buy the brooms before the school year started or are they school property? So they only have one broom for life until it breaks or are they like cars and you can just resell it and buy a new one? Does the broom "choose" you or can you just grab any of them and hop on?
