What is the Average Weight Loss on ProLon?
Fasting has been around for thousands of years, but it has recently become increasingly popular as it can provide essential health benefits and aid in weight loss. ProLon, in particular, is a scientifically designed 5-day, plant-based, meal-based program that promotes metabolic health and weight loss. Developed by Valter Longo, a professor at the University of Southern California, ProLon can help support fasting's health and longevity benefits.
What is ProLon? Let's delve into this dietary program and see how it can help you lose weight.
What is ProLon?
ProLon is a 5-day, plant-based diet program designed by Doctor Valter Longo. It is based on "Fasting Mimicking Diet" and "Meal Rejuvenation." Fasting Mimicking Diet is designed to meet human dietary requirements while limiting calories to as low as 500 per day. It was an alternative to traditional fasting to help the body naturally heal and regenerate.
The diet includes pre-packed food items like soups, snacks, and bars, providing the body with all the nutrition needed for the five days. This includes macronutrients, vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, proteins, fiber, and healthy fats. The foods are also free from artificial colors and preservatives, contain no added sugar, and are low in sodium.
Additionally, the foods are designed to be tasty and enjoyable, making it easier to stick with the diet. Ingredients include organic olives, nuts, soups, and bars. It also consists of a beauty and body care product kit that provides dietary support and promotes deep beauty and cellular rejuvenation.
Can You Lose Weight With ProLon?
It has been scientifically tested and clinically proven that ProLon does indeed help promote weight loss. The 5-day program has been documented to result in an average weight loss of 3.5 pounds. However, it is essential to note that this is not a long-term weight loss solution, and results may vary depending on the individual.
Although weight loss is a crucial benefit, the main focus of ProLon is on metabolic health and cellular rejuvenation. It helps people promote healthy eating habits, enjoy delicious meals without restriction, and support their body's natural cleansing and metabolic balance.
What Are the Side Effects of ProLon Fast?
Most people experience several common side effects while on the ProLon diet. These side effects include hunger, fatigue, muscle aches, mood swings, and decreased energy levels. Although these symptoms can be uncomfortable, they typically do not last long and do not cause any severe health issues.
Additionally, it is essential to note that ProLon is not meant to be used as a diet for long-term weight loss. It is designed for short-term weight loss and should not be used as a regular diet plan.
Can I Eat Anything While Doing ProLon?
No, you cannot eat anything while on the ProLon diet. Although the meals provided in the kit are satisfying and delicious, consuming any food outside of the ProLon meals may interfere with the program, thus making it less effective.
It is also important to note that the ProLon diet should not replace an existing balanced diet and should not be relied upon as a long-term dietary solution.
Conclusion
ProLon is a scientifically-designed 5-day plant-based meal program to promote weight loss and metabolic health. It is clinically proven to help people lose an average of 3.5 pounds and provides an enjoyable experience with tasty meals and other benefits.
However, it is essential to remember that ProLon is not a long-term diet solution and should not replace a balanced diet. Additionally, it is necessary to be aware of the various side effects and to pay attention to your body's reaction while on this program.
By keeping all of this in mind, ProLon can be an effective way to jump-start weight loss and may be beneficial in promoting overall health and well-being.

- ED trigger warning -
Being skinny ruined my life. If you’re thin and think to yourself, “why don’t fat people just lose weight?” Please read this
I was the “ideal fat” in the sense that I did everything skinny people wanted me to do. I tried every diet in the book. I exercised regularly. I worked with doctors and dietitians to figure out the best way to lose weight. But nothing worked. I did everything “right” to lose weight, and my weight stayed the same
But the thin people in my life kept telling me that I wouldn’t be happy, attractive, healthy, etc. until I lost weight. So, heartbroken, I came to the conclusion that anorexia was the only option left. It felt safer than bariatric surgery, and was obviously much more affordable
I became the perfect anorexic. 700 cal a day or less, except once a week I allowed myself 1400 cal. For reference, my body required at least 2800 to maintain weight, and at least 1800 to keep my organs and stuff fully functioning. Still, 700 a day, I persisted because everyone in my life told me weight loss was all that mattered. If dieting didn’t work, anorexia had to
And it did. My weight dropped all the way down to 110 pounds. I was skinny - underweight, even - in all sense of the word. The people in my life saw it as a miracle. The ultimate success story. My mother, my “friends,” my doctors, they all congratulated me on my accomplishment
When I confessed my eating disorder to my doctor, he told me, “that’s not the best way to go about it, but I’m glad you lost the weight.” My mother took pictures of me and sent them to relatives to brag
Okay, great. I was skinny. I did what I set out to do. But there were severe consequences
The most obvious was my joint pain doubled, maybe even tripled, to the point that I couldn’t leave the house without a wheelchair
I also developed several health complications, including fatty liver disease and extremely painful GERD. I had to see a handful of specialists and get an endoscopy because of severe stomach pain
My partner, who was the only person who saw my weight loss for what it was (a horrible thing that only happened because of an eating disorder), convinced me to enter a recovery program
For nearly a year, I relearned how to feed myself. I ate everything I was told to eat, nothing more and nothing less. My diet was 100% in the hands of somebody else
And I gained back every pound I has lost. All of the work to become thin went right out the window. It was proven to me that thinness and health were incompatible with my body. If I wanted to be thin, I had to forgo my physical and mental well-being. And vise-versa
Prior to the anorexia, I never once struggled with binge eating. I was naturally an intuitive eater, and I did a good job of having a well rounded diet. After the anorexia, after recovery, I developed a binge eating disorder. I had spent so long starving myself, that my brain and body got stuck in survival mode, desperate to consume any and all calories out of fear that I might starve again. To this day I struggle with binge eating
I did everything thin people wanted of me. I dieted. I exercised. And when all else failed, I starved myself. Now I have liver disease, stomach issues, and BED. Not to mention the loads of mental issues that accumulated as a result of my weight loss journey. During the throes of my anorexia, I had to be hospitalized for suicidal ideation
When you tell fat people to “just lose weight” you are suggesting they give themselves illnesses for which treatments are not always effective. You are asking fat people to destroy their stomachs and livers. When a fat person loses so much weight that they become skinny, they are likely giving up so much of their health in efforts to be treated like a human being
If you’re thin, do your part. Treat fat people like people before we tear our bodies apart

prediction astrology:
Saturn in Pisces transit + how you could get famous ♓️ ✨
credits to @astrobaeza
Tumblr media
Saturn entered Pisces on March 7, 2023 and will stay there until May 24, 2025. Already, we have been able to see new musicians, artists, collectives rise to fame.
example: Victoria Monét -> her song "On My Mama" went viral and she has her Moon and North Node in Pisces. Despite being popular for some time, she is just now really blowing up.
British Duo "Jungle" went viral for their song "Back on 74". Tom McFarland, one half of the duo, has his NN in Pisces in his 7th house of partnership (his band) and his moon at 29° Pisces in his 9th house of the media. They blew up but I also predict their fame is being solidified and will grow even more.
Here is what I predict for the Saturn in Pisces transits in the houses.
✨ Pisces 1st house: solidification or complete undoing of your identity. this could be a time where you find the perfect routine for your skin, hair, makeup, or maybe completely transform your look or how you present to others. could become famous for looks and self (think modeling, youtube, Tiktok, instagram) post your selfies queens and kings!
✨ Pisces 2nd house: transformation of your personal values, increase in self worth, and influx of wealth and possessions. this could be a time where you become more confident and come into more money as a result. your values could translate in the work you do or anything you make or create. you could become famous for becoming wealthy or whatever you do as a result of this increase in confidence.
✨ Pisces 3rd house: you become more communicative with your community, neighbors, and siblings. strengthening of familial ties as well as gains in writing, singing, or public speech. you could become famous for your artistic or oratorical communication like writing music, poetry, or doing a public speech. could also become famous through your siblings.
✨ Pisces 4th house: your home life becomes more nurturing, sensitive and soft and your connection to your roots increases in familiarity. you could learn more and grow closer to your roots on an emotional level. this could look like traveling back to your hometown / birth place, picking up new family traditions, or healing broken family bonds. could become famous through your family or through exploration of you roots.
✨ Pisces 5th house: strengthening of creative abilities, creative drive, and increase in artistic pursuits / opportunities. you most likely feel more creative during this time, and have more of a drive to showcase this. great time for musicians, artists, and performers who want visibility for their art. also a time where you could go on more dates, fall in love, and have kids. could become famous for anything creative, your children, your romances.
✨ Pisces 6th house: transformation of work, health, and routines. you could become a lot healthier during this time through new workouts, diets, and lifestyle. you could also find new work, leave an old job, or have restrictions around your work and health lifted. could become famous through something like huge weight loss, introducing a new skin care brand, or through your work.
✨ Pisces 7th house: long-standing partnerships are inducted: meaning marriage, new business opportunities that bring you a lot of success or more connections, could also mean more enemies due to this success. could become famous for who you marry, who you do business with, or who defames you.
✨ Pisces 8th house: could result in an entire death and rebirth of yourself as a whole. this could mean a time when you "bounce-back" completely reinvent yourself and come out unrecognizable. also potential for sudden deaths, random events and an increase in wealth or shared resources. this could end a period of celibacy or a time when you lose your V-card! could become famous for anything related to power, money, and sex. (ie: starting an OF, getting an inheritance, investing and getting a huge return)
✨ Pisces 9th house: transformation of spirituality, your knowledge, and higher educational pursuits. could be a time where you finally have the money to go to college, study abroad, or commit to knew avenues of education and spirituality (maybe committing to a religion or belief system). could become famous for your educational pursuits like publishing research.
✨ Pisces 10th house: solidification of your reputation, career, public persona. this is the year that you could become famous for anything really (good or bad). for those who wish to be famous or already are, this is a great year to go after all career goals. your reputation will be solidified (good or bad). career could be Piscean in nature -- music, art, writing, spirituality.
✨ Pisces 11th house: expansion of networks, groups, and achievement of dreams. you could meet your best friends, form life-time connections, and accomplish something online or for the collective. could become famous on a large-scale through your groups in real life or on line. great time for social media users who want a larger fan base, push your work!
✨ Pisces 12th house: expansion of the mind, healing of the subconscious, transformation of subconscious beliefs about yourself, life, others. could be a time when you actively start working on your healing and emotional health (ie: therapy, shadow work) great time to transform or tap into healing practices or monetize them! a lot more intuitive, this can be applied to all areas of life and help you with your interpersonal relationships, business, and family. could become famous for communication of your new beliefs, your healing practices or for your transformation.

Vito
Vito, once a semi-successful soccer player, found himself comfortable settling down after his retirement at the age of 26. He got married, had children, and indulged in the pleasures of life. This newfound lifestyle resulted in him gaining a significant amount of weight, but Vito didn’t really care, his strict diet days as an athlete were a thing kf the past now.
Tumblr media
After struggling to find purpose in post-retirement life, Vito managed to secure a job as an assistant coach at a big football club. Still basking in his past glory, he found himself attending numerous dinner parties and social gatherings, further contributing to his weight gain. Despite this, the club achieved success under his coaching. Vito's talent did not go unnoticed, and he eventually landed a position as the head coach of an English soccer club. Excitement and anticipation filled his heart as he embarked on this new journey, although it meant being far away from home. The first few months proved challenging as he resided in a hotel, relying heavily on room service and dining out every night. The restaurant owners and staff would celebrate his presence like a king, showering him with bottles of champagne and free food. Vito's weight continued to spiral out of control with each passing week. Amidst a tough season, where the club experienced both wins and losses, Vito resorted to snacking on packs of gummies during training sessions and indulging in big lunches with the club's CEO or players. They would even pass on their leftovers and desserts, further fueling his unhealthy habits.
Tumblr media
As the press and media took notice of his expanding waistline, Vito reveled in the attention. The club managed to secure a third-place finish that season, but Vito's weight gain became a topic of concern. “Can he be a good example to the team at this weight?” The media questioned. Taking a well-deserved vacation, Vito's frustrations led him to overeat during his month-long all-inclusive stay in Dubai. Constant lounging at the pool and dining at extravagant restaurants only added more weight to his already hefty physique.
Tumblr media
Upon returning to the club, Vito faced numerous remarks about his weight gain. Despite the criticisms, he remained focused on his work and became stricter with the players. No parties were allowed, and he would push them hard during training camps. However, unbeknownst to Vito, the players started using his weakness for food to their advantage. They would discreetly pass on their leftovers to keep him busy, providing them with some relief and relaxation. As the season progressed, Vito's weight continued to escalate. But he remained indifferent, solely focused on the success of his team. Parties became a regular occurrence, and hangover breakfasts started being a part of his daily routine. Snacking, lavish lunches, and dinners dominated his every waking moment.
Tumblr media
When the moment of truth arrived, Vito's team emerged as victors in his second year as head coach. The ecstatic celebrations and constant partying only added to his ever-increasing size. But in the face of victory, he couldn't care less about his physical appearance. Vito had become massive, but his unwavering dedication to his team defined him more than his physicality ever could. Despite the consequences on his body, he had achieved success, which meant the world to him. And as he continued his coaching journey, he learned that true fulfillment came from within, not from societal expectations of appearance.

my personal success stories #1
part 1: appearance changes 💄
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
so one of my biggest goals for manifesting was appearance changes. it was something that i used to be insecure about and i would complain about. but now i'm more satisfied with how i look. my self-concept and my appearance have improved over time in different aspects through different ways. so i'm just going to put a few of my personal appearance change success stories. i talk about some person things i experienced and maybe you may relate so i hope it motivates you.
the backstory
as i mentioned a few times before, i first found out about loa through subliminals. at first i thought subliminals were just complete bs because why would listening to music and rain sounds make my lips bigger and make me skinnier?? wtf. but after a while i decided to try manifesting appearance change. through subliminals. i wanted to manifest my desired face and body.
i was fed with TONS of limimiting beliefs back then. i gave up on manifesting appearance changes after a a bit. it wasn't worth my time or energy as so i thought. i was avoiding mirrors and it just made life a little more stressful.
a while later i decided i would go back to manifesting things. i rewatched some of sammy ingram's videos, which i used to binge watch when i was new to loa. i started to listen to subliminlas again, since they have actually given me small succsses beforehand. and i made vision boards. i repeated affirmations to myself when i was bored. just started applying little by little.
facial features
for facial features i kept some of them and changed some of them because i was kind of satisfied already. i manfiested my eyes to be a little bigger, and my lips to be a bit plumper. i just affirmed to get it and used some subliminals. my face still looks recognizable, just small changes i wanted here and there whenever i felt like it. and i literally posted a FACE REVEAL so don't argue with me lmao.
clearer skin
one thing i really wanted to manifest was flawless skin. because i was insecure about acne. this manifestation took place pretty recently compared to the other ones i talked about here. i started by manifesting skincare products but then went on to manifest natually having clear skin all together. whenever i looked into the mirror i affirmed that my skln was so clear and i drank water assuming it would clear my skin more. i also listened to lay subliminal's clear skin subliminal and it gave me HUGE results. so overall i got pretty clear skin with little effort or time.
body and weight loss
[tw//weight] another thing i was able to manifest was losing weight and changes to my body. the first time i did this was "unconsciously," before i got into loa so this was like months ago. i would look in the mirror and constantly tell myself(affiirm)that i'm so skinny, my thighs are so thin, etc. and whenever i saw images of kpop idols i would affirm that my body was just like their's except mine is better. i was scared i was going to gain weight but turns out when i went to the doctor checkup i actually lost weight, was 43kg(95lbs) before was around 42kg(93lbs) during the checkup and i didn't work out or diet. in fact, i ate more and i had online school at the time so i barely even walked around lmao.
i used to be insecure about my thighs but now my thighs are thin and i have a big thigh gap. my waist and arms are thin as well. now my body looks like something in between rosé's and joy's except i'm shorter than them. i've also gotten a ton of compliments. i usually wear loose clothes but when i wore something tighter people would call me body goals because of my body shape. and my friend would tell me that i'm SUPER skinny🤧 even tho i eat a lot of junk food and almost never exercise except used to do sports before(which actually gains muscles). i'm still thin even though my weight slightly increases compared to the first time i manifested wl since i'm taller, did sports in the beginning of the school year and gain muscles, and my body is still growing bc i'm still a teenager.
glow ups
i don't know if this counts but i manifested glowing up before school started this year. although most of the things i manifest were much later on, i still did got a few of my first "small" results in the summer, when i first found out about manifestation. i manifested getting some random changes such as new hair, new clothes, makeup products, etc. but i ended up noticably looking "different" from how i looked before.

Femme Fatale Guide: How To Set Long-Term Goals
Consider this mind reframe when setting a long-term goal: Long-term goals are a string of short-term goals that work together to culminate in a more nuanced or lofty outcome.
In my opinion, I believe that long-term goals should be determined based on how they positively support a certain aspect of your lifestyle, rather than designed with a strict plan in mind (at least for 5-10 year goals). As we know from the past few years, our long-term plans can easily fall through due to factors out of our control.
So, with these variables in mind, I would say you need to split your long-term goals into 2 main categories:
Evergreen Goals: These goals are fairly straightforward and rely more on an input-output method to achieve them vs. many external variables or contextual success attached to them. Examples of evergreen goals would be saving for retirement or maintaining a healthy body/weight loss/getting a certain certificate training or degree (not in a specific program, but in a general field), and acquiring items like a designer bag. You're in control of whether you put a certain amount of money into an investment portfolio, how much energy you consume in a day, and how much time you spend filling out applications/studying material. While external factors play a role, the success of these goals heavily depends on your determination, consistency, and focus. You just have to play the long game vs. the short-term game to see the results you desire.
Dynamic Goals: These goals take a lot of external factors into account and can heavily rely on many different parties to ensure you succeed. These long-term goals can be to work in a certain type of position or company, graduate with a specific degree or from a specific university/program, live in your dream home, become a successful business owner/author, etc, find a specific type of partner, etc. While self-betterment paired with consistent, strategic, and focused effort play a significant (majority) factor in these goals, you still need the stars to align for these goals to actualize in the way you currently envision them in your mind.
So, when creating long-term goals (especially dynamic goals), set these 5-10-year goals with the intention to be unrelenting about the outcome and flexible about the path to achieving them. Envision the result you desire and why that would improve your life/happiness. Then, work your way backward to the smaller milestone goals you would need to achieve. Once you get to the first major "milestone" that needs to be completed, devise creative and strategic solutions to begin working on this shorter-term goal. Make your 5-year goal into a series of 5 1-year plans. Reverse engineer to embrace the endless possibilities and potential for your success.
Hope this helps xx

It Is Time For 'Baddie Hibernation'
Tumblr media
Hey babes we have 3 months before the summer! It is time to tighten up! This is the time to work on your physical and mental I know we all want to be hot girls this summer so now is the time to prioritize ourselves!
Routines
♡ Routines are super important. they are your key to success and living an organized life. If you have not created a routine already I created a blog post on how to create a productive routine. This is the time to stick to your routines in the morning and night and adjust them if needed.
Physical
♡ Hygiene. Consistency is key for your facial care routine to work so be consistent in applying all your products. If you aren't seeing results with a certain product you have been using for over 3 months maybe try and find a better product. I recommend using a gua sha three times a week there are so many benefits in using a gua sha blog post coming soon! Don’t just focus on your facial care focus also on your body care use African exfoliating net sponges, shave regularly, apply lotions and body oils, and use feet masks to peel dead skin.
♡ Diet. For my girlies who are on a weight loss journey and want to be snatched before summer, it is time to be dedicated to sticking to your diet. I don’t have any specific diets to recommend do what works for you. If you struggle with Binge Eating Disorder like me I have a book that I can recommend that will help you work on your ED and also help you lose weight “The Binge Code” by Allison Kerr and Richard Kerr. This book has been a game-changer for me!  For my babes who aren't focused on weight loss, it is still important to try and eat healthier try including a variety of whole foods into your diet and drink waterrr!!! Water is so good for us from our skin to our digestive system try and drink at least 50oz but aim for 100oz of water daily.
♡ Movement. Try and include some sort of movement daily we must move our bodies daily. Figure out what type of exercise you like walking is very simple and costs absolutely nothing. Start small with 10 minutes of outdoor walking daily. Natural light is so beneficial for our mental health and mood. Yoga and pilates are such amazing slow and impactful forms of exercise. I've been including yoga in my nighttime routine there are so many channels and videos on YouTube you can follow. There are so many other forms of exercise you can try some free and some that cost money.
♡ Supplements. Help and maintain our overall health they can also help with our daily requirements of essential nutrients. I will be listing a few supplements below <333
Multivitamin. Find a reputable multivitamin and take it daily or as instructed. Multivitamins can boost energy and give you vitamins and minerals you might be deficient in.
Magnesium. Improves mood, sleep, exercise performance, regulates blood sugar, and so much more. Magnesium is overlooked by many but so beneficial for us. I've been seeing the bedtime magnesium mocktail I have yet to try but I plan to.
Omega 3(fish oil). Helps with typical brain and eye development. It can fight inflammation and help prevent heart disease and the decline of brain function.
Vitamin D. A lot of us during the winter time have a deficiency in vitamin D because the sun is not out a lot so vitamin D supplements are a must-have they help with regulating mood, reducing depression, healthy bones, and so many other amazing benefits.
Vitamin B Complex. Helps boost energy levels, brain function, digestion, and cell health. There are so many other benefits.
Probiotics. Helps improve gut health, puts healthy bacteria into our gut that in turn helps our digestive system, and inflammation, and can even help aide your weightless journey.
Mental
♡ Sleep. Our bodies function so much better when we are getting a good amount of sleep. You think clearly and your mood is better. Try and set a bedtime for yourself and stick to it. I had to sleep train myself at the beginning of the semester it was so harddd but I'm reaping the benefits now I have energy during the day, my mood is better in the morning, and my brain functions better during the day.
♡ Journaling. We have a lot of emotions that we carry throughout the day and it is important that we let them out and journaling is the best way to do so. I have three journals. One journal is for my emotions, another for gratitude journaling which I highly recommend you get into, and finally my last journal for shadow work. You do not need to have three journals but I like to have everything separate it helps me.
♡ Book. I love reading and listening to self-help books. We all have issues that we need to fix and thankfully we have so many self-help books dedicated to so many different issues people face on a daily. I have so many recommendations I’ll list below.
The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest (self-sabotaging)
The Most Powerful Woman In The Room Is You by Lydia Fenet (confidence and career)
Atomic Habits by James Clear (building good habits)
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson (living a carefree life)
The Binge Code by Allison Kerr and Richard Kerr (binge eating, weight loss)
The Shadow Work Journal by Keila Shaheen (internal healing)
The Eldest Daughter Effect by Lisette Schuitemaker and Wies Enthoven (eldest daughters)
The Game Of Life And How To Play It by Florence Scovel and Joel Fotinos (from pessimistic to optimistic, affirmations, and manifestation)
The Power Of The Pussy by Kara King (femininity and dating)
8 Rules Of Love by Jay Shetty (dating and psychology)
The Muslim Woman’s Manifesto by Kashmir Maryam (religion, mental health, and women)

A Letter to Writers who are Parents
Tumblr media
Can you successfully write while also being a parent? NaNo Participant Desiree S. Brown confidently says yes, you can do both. Desiree offers heartfelt words of inspiration to other author-parents out there. My eyes were heavy with sleep as I plodded over to my son’s crib. I remember holding him in a state of awe, but I was also terrified. I hadn’t written in months—not from lack of trying—and had just emerged from a digital rabbit hole.
Desperate for pointers from seasoned author-parents, I asked Google, “How do authors write while raising kids?”
I expected encouragement, but found Lauren Sandler’s essay The Secret to Being Both a Successful Writer and Mother: Have Just One Kid and Cyril Connolly’s famous quote: “There’s no more somber enemy of good art than the pram in the hall.”
You can write and be a parent.
Many authors opted out of parenthood, believing each birth cost them a book. Doris Lessing, for example, had abandoned her children with their father in favor of her writing career.
It’s heartbreaking, but untrue. Zadie Smith, Toni Morrison, Jodi Picoult, Ursula K. Le Guin, Sarah Manguso and other authors managed to have successful careers while raising children. Manguso wrote in The Grand Shattering:
I used to believe that maximizing the number of hours reading, writing, and thinking about writing would make me the best writer I could be, and that my friend who had chosen to have three children just didn’t value being a writer as much as I did. Then I had a child and found that the amount of time I spend writing isn’t the only thing that makes me a better writer. I also grow by weathering trauma, practicing patience, being seasoned by love.
Parenting will help you grow as a writer.
Many author-parents noted an enrichment in their writing. In his essay, The Pram in the Hall, Shane Jones wrote, “I’ve discovered many writer-fathers who not only continued to produce work, but produced work that is richer and more interesting because of their fatherhood.”
New life moments create powerful experiences and what is storytelling, poetry, or essays but the exploration of those experiences? Parenting shaped me and my writing in a way that childlessness couldn't. I’ve learned to be more empathetic and honest with my time management (why didn’t I write during my son’s two hour nap?).
Jodi Picoult learned to be “hyper-aware of relationships between people,” Jane Smiley’s kids exposed her to new ideas by forcing her into the world, and Maggie O’Farrel learned “to concentrate with the intensity of a telekinetic.”
You’re not neglectful for prioritizing writing or parenting.
There’s a constant tug of war within writer-parents, not to mention the crushing weight of social expectations: writers need silence at all times and parents prioritize their kids.
But that's an unrealistic standard that will ruin any parent’s mental health, resulting in a loss of self, depression, and frustration. O’Farrel writes:
Don’t feel guilty about taking time to write. Guilt is no use to you here. Throw yourself headlong into whatever is in front of you, whether it’s writing or doling out small bowls of pasta or making potato prints. It’s good for your children to have a fulfilled parent, not a frustrated one. A child witnessing their parent working and being gratified by that work is an excellent lesson for them.
So, what’s the answer to the big question? How do authors write while raising kids?
They do it like anyone else: stealing time between diaper changes and naps; juggling housework, parent-work, and writer-work as best as they can; and realizing that they have the potential to create a fulfilling writing career like anyone else.
That’s the answer I will carry with me into Camp NaNo, the next project, and beyond.

The Rink of Reality
andrei svechnikov x female!reader
summary - 931 words. coming to a close, will Andrei be able to let go? part 9 of The Pretend Play
author's note - sad boy hours for andrei
warnings - none I think
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The atmosphere in the conference room was heavy, bathed in the cold light of early morning, Andrei sat across from Y/N. The familiar tension that usually crackled between them now replaced with an unusual calm. They had been called in for a cryptically described “strategic meeting” by their agents, but the atmosphere suggested it was anything but ordinary.
“We’ve called you in to discuss the result of your partnership,” Carson began, his tone measured. “Thanks to your efforts, both of your public images have significantly improved. The campaign has been a resounding success.” they cheered
Y/N agent chimed in, his voice equally composed. “We’ve analysed the data, and it’s clear. The objective of boosting your reputations has been achieved. As such, continuing the fake relationship isn’t necessary.”
The room fell silent as the implication of their words sank in. Inside, Andrei felt a sharp pang of loss, a hollow emptiness that seemed to echo off the walls of the room. Glancing at Y/N, he noticed a similar shadow cross her features, a brief flicker of sadness that she quickly masked under a veneer of indifference.
"As professionals, we’re confident you’ll navigate this next phase with the same dedication" Carson continued, oblivious or indifferent to the storm of emotions brewing silently. “We’ve prepared a statement to announce the conclusion of your relationship, framing it as a mutual decision.”
This was really the end, Andrei’s heart sunk. It wasn't just the loss of Y/N's presence in his life that grieved him, but the vanishing of a bond that, against all odds, had become real to him.
The formalities of concluding the meeting felt surreal, as if he were watching from a distance. Their agents' congratulations on a "job well done" rang hollow, a stark reminder of the professional facade they were expected to maintain until the very end.
Stepping out together, the synchrony of their movements belied the chasm that had opened between them. “So I guess I’ll see you around,” Y/N broke the silence, her voice soft a hint of sadness.
Andrei met her gaze, finding not the challenge of their earlier days but a familiar comfort that had grown between them. "Yeah, I guess so," he managed to reply, each word laden with a reluctance to let go.
"It was nice while it lasted, partner. Keeping it professional," she said, extending her hand in a gesture that felt like a final curtain call on their shared act.
"Yeah, professional," he echoed, the word tasting bitter in his mouth.
Her handshake was firm, stirring doubts in Andrei about the depth of their connection. Had he been the only one to feel something more? “Take care, Svechy.”
And with that, they parted ways, the finality of their goodbye marking the end of a chapter he never had anticipated would be so difficult to close. Behind the professional veneer, Andrei grappled with the realization that what had started as a mere arrangement had blossomed into a meaningful connection, leaving him to wonder about the future paths that might have been, if only their beginning had been rooted in truth rather than pretend.
-
In the quiet solitude that followed their final goodbye, Andrei found himself grappling with a sense of loss so profound it seemed to permeate every aspect of his life. The ice, once his sanctuary, now felt like an expanse of cold, unforgiving solitude. Each game, each practice, he laced up his skates and donned his jersey like armor, but the weight of Y/N's absence made it hard to find the joy and passion that once fueled his play.
On the ice, his movements, once sharp and confident, now carried a hesitance, a split-second of doubt that was enough to disrupt the fluidity of his game. Passes he would make without thinking twice now missed their mark, shots he could land with his eyes closed somehow found the post or sailed wide. It was as if the sync between his mind and body had been thrown off, the harmony disrupted by the echo of a presence that was no longer there.
His teammates noticed, concern etching their faces as they watched Andrei struggle to find his footing. The locker room, once filled with the easy camaraderie and laughter that comes from shared victories and defeats, now seemed to close in on him, each well-meaning inquiry or slap on the back a reminder of the void Y/N's departure had left.
"Everything okay, Svech?" they'd ask, their brows furrowed in worry. "You've seemed off lately."
Andrei would nod, forcing a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "Yeah, just going through a rough patch. I'll shake it off," he'd assure them, his voice carrying a conviction he wished he felt. But the truth was, he wasn't sure how to shake off the sense of loss that had settled in his chest, a constant companion that seemed to shadow his every move.
Evenings after games, once spent reliving key moments and celebrating with his team, now found Andrei retreating into himself, replaying not the game, but the moments shared with Y/N. The laughter, the shared looks of understanding, the way her presence had become as integral to his happiness as the sport he loved.
The realization hit him hard, a body check to the soul: he missed her. Not just the physical presence, but the connection, the bond that had unexpectedly grown between them. It was more than just missing a friend; it was the ache of missing a part of himself he hadn't realized she had become.

Astrology Observations 🤍
Tumblr media
Please do not repost on any other social media platforms 🤍
The 12th house also rules ‘bed pleasures’. So, it’s not uncommon for people to start having more sex when the sun, mercury or venus transits their 12th house.
Having Sagittarius on the 8th house cusp can be very auspicious when it comes to receiving inheritances, as sag is a sign that is ruled by Jupiter. Some may argue that the same can be applied to having Pisces in the 8th house cusp, as Pisces is ruled by Jupiter in traditional astrology. However, I personally don’t love that hazy/illusive Neptunian effect on the 8th house.
People who have the ruler of their ascendant placed in the 12th house, may find themselves going through extended periods of isolation at some points in their life. An example being, a person who struggles with a chronic illness that means they have to be hospitalized for some time. Alternatively, someone who goes to solitary confinement (jail) etc! Please note that these are the most extreme examples of this placement! But I just wanted to give a general idea of circumstances that may lead someone to be isolated from others.
Having the ruler of your 10th house (midheaven) placed in your 3rd,4th, or 5th house can manifest as working with family members/in a family business. The 3rd for working with cousins/siblings. The 4th (mother/members of the household you grew up in) and the 5th can be working with your children.
Those who have mercury square/opposite Jupiter may often get a bad rep for ‘lying’ or stretching the truth at times. Sometimes, this is not even a conscious thing that these people do. Many of them are prone to over exaggerating, but it’s not necessarily motivated by malice.
So we know that Saturn rules over the bones/teeth. Interestingly, I’ve observed that Capricorn and aqua placements typically have really good/healthy teeth, or they have to continuously do dental work, because they have major teeth problems.
Having the ruler of your 7th house placed in your 12th house is also another indication of potentially having a foreign spouse. This is because the 12th house also represents ‘faraway lands’.
Saturn transiting your 6th house can also be a time in which you may experience weight loss. This transit truly can manifest in a variety of ways. You’re likely going to be taking a good look into your daily routine, and health habits during this time. Many people adopt a new diet/workout regimen at this time. However, sometimes the weight-loss may be the result of an unexpected illness/sickness, so you need to be taking good care of yourself during this transit.
Some of the worlds biggest/most ‘iconic’ musicians have Pisces in their big 3 (or other personal planets) and a neptunian influence on one of the angles. Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, Ariana grande, Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber, Prince, Rihanna, Kurt Cobain are all examples. Please note this is not a list of my personal favs, Just a few musicians who have/had a huge fan base/success in their careers.
Since Taurus rules the throat, it’s not uncommon to see people who have 2nd house mercuries or even venuses be vocally gifted.
Venus square Venus synastry can be very frustrating. Especially when it comes to the square between fixed signs, as neither will want to ‘budge’ when it comes to their love languages. One person may value acts of service, and quality time, whereas the other person prefers physical touch and words of affirmation. It’s not impossible to navigate, it can just cause annoyances. Compromise is the best way to navigate a Venus square Venus in synastry.
I absolutely love seeing one persons Venus making a conjunction to another persons ascendant in synastry. This is such a great physical attraction indicator. Obviously you’d need more positive aspects for the relationship to work out/last, but the Venus person often sees the ascendant person as their ideal physical type!
Mars in the 4th house in a synastry overlay can make it difficult for two people live together. They may be frequent conflicts, and the 4th house person may feel as if the mars person is disruptive and a bit chaotic. The 4th house also represents our emotional core. So, the mars person may unintentionally upset the 4th house person quite frequently.
A solar return year in which your solar return rising sign, is in the same sign of your natal rising sign is said to be a very important year in your life! The events that occur this year are likely to have a profound impact on your life for years to come.
It’s very common to move when your solar return rising sign is in the same signs as your natal 4th house cusp. This is especially true if Uranus is in the 4th house, or aspecting the 4th house that year!
Astroseek has a midpoint calculator if you would like to see what you strongest midpoints are! I find them very fascinating as they add a different layer to our personalities! For example, if you have the “Venus=Mars/Pluto” midpoint as one of your strongest, you know that you’re inclined to be a very sensual individual! There is a magnetism about you, that draws people to you very easily. You have a natural sex appeal, and other people may perceive you to be a very sexual person (and this is likely true). This midpoint also denotes major financial success!
Having the ruler of your 7th in your 9th can suggest that you may meet your future spouse abroad or whilst you are attending college!
People who go “viral” on social media, likely have prominent 3rd, 10th, and 11th house placements! The chances of you going ‘viral’ are also increased when you have major transits occurring in one of the houses listed above!
