Sorry about this double ask, I reworked the first so much that I literally forgot something entirely. So once again from the top😂

I am looking for Marvel's Stucky (SteveRogersxBuckyBarnes) and/or Frostiron (TonyStarkxLoki) long term rp partners! Some stuff below about me that may be relevant as well as what it is I am looking for for each respectively.

About me

♥ I am a 30 year old he/him who has been rping for 21 years, but I wouldn't say I'm the most dramatically correct person around. I typically average about 3-5 paragraphs per reply as I just really get into what I'm writing. But I don't expect that in response! I prefer communications through discord, as it's what I'm most active on. If you DM me I can throw you my discord handle, or feel free to dm me yours!

♥ I work 3rd shift EST, so I'm awake from about 5pm-8am most days with some variation on days off (but not much). I am most active online from about 11pm-7am. Just so you know what to expect from my activity! I don't mind if our schedules don't line up, just stating that it might come up.

What I am looking for

♥ Overall I'm mostly looking for somebody who can at least give me about 2 sentences per reply, not much at all. I am looking for long-term partners, or at least that's what I am prioritizing currently. Would need to be open to nsfw scenes. While I do quite like a slow burn, I by no means require them! For both, I am also open to Omegaverse AU!

♥ For Stucky in particular, I prefer to play Bucky as I feel he best fits my type of character. I just do not think I would do a particularly great Steve, but if it is my only option I'd be willing to settle! I also have a preference for a dom Steve, putting Bucky in a more submissive role. I would be willing to switch that if I absolutely have to as I'd rather have a top!Bucky than no rp at all. I would most like to follow MCU canon but I wouldn't mind sprinkling in comic events and characters too! I am open to aus, especially supernatural au (werewolf Bucky has my whole heart) if that's something you'd rather explore.

♥ For Frostiron I honestly could play either but I have a soft preference for Tony just based on the fact I'm more confident in my good guy Snark. I could see either of them as comparable switches so dynamic wise I'm open to anything. I would like to stick to MCU canon for this or an AU, but again I would be willing to consider some comic events so long as it doesn't change their timelines up to Avengers too much. I know this is kindof a rare ship but it's had my heart since 2016, what can I say.

word of the week: Portmanteau

the word of this week is one of those that most people on fandom tumblr use with frequency, but since the term itself has morphed, you might not know it.

So, let's learn!

Portmanteau

Noun, from the French: Porter (v., to carry) + Manteau (n, mantle) - with its origins in the mid 16th century.

1)  a large trunk or suitcase, typically made of stiff leather and opening into two equal parts, either as a trunk (below) or in smaller bag format - the distinction being the two equal sides. Some hard-shell suitcases that open down the middle are technically portmanteaus.

Do you have any idea how hard it was to find a picture on the internet of this thing

and also:

2) a word blending the sounds and combining the meanings of two others, such as:

brunch (breakfast + lunch)

motel (motor + hotel)

spork (spoon + fork)

podcast (iPod + broadcast)

cosplay (costume + roleplay)

Etc.

Portmanteaus exist in every language*, as there is nothing humans love more than making up new words to describe things. Wikipedia has some examples.

*Probably, haven’t done a comprehensive review of all human languages, but I'm going on odds of humans being human

And here is where the fandom connection really kicks into overdrive:

Ship names

Sculder: Scully/Mulder from X-Files

Sterek: Stiles/Derek from Teen Wolf

Every possible pairing in the Untamed (WangXian, XiYao, NieLan)

Destiel: Dean/Castiel from Supernatural

McShep: Rodney McKay/John Sheppard from Stargate Atlantis

SwanQueen: Emma/Regina from Once Upon a Time

and then the MCU with their Stucky and Stony and Clintasha and WinterFalcon and Pepperony and FrostIron ETCETERA

There are some portmanteaus in the original Star Trek, but i'm one of the fans that prefer not to use Spirk.

Hey I have been searching for a fic

Ao3, frostiron, where the team is kinda ok and tony gets anon info all time about villains but team don't know from where. One day they decide to follow tony and find tony going to loki, where they find loki and tony in one of rooms of a hotel and thor flies on the balcony to see what they are up to and loki is all like kneel before me you mortal if you want info from me and then tony kneels and loki seems like he is taking advantage of tony (they roleplay) and thor is like disgusted by his bro and goes back to avengers and they have a meeting sharwma place and discuss about it. Everybody don't know what to say but nat is like if he gets info any way he can then it doesn't matter he uses his body as payment and so when tony once agin goes tp loki thor follows tony and is like loki no and threatens him but tony comes between them and is like we both are lovers and we were roleplaying etc etc

Stranger Things: I'm mostly into Mungrove, Steddie, or Harringrove roleplays right now with an emphasis on the first two. I would prefer to do Billy or Steve but I can be convinced into doing Eddie (as long as you understand that I'm not good with D&D terms)

hi. while I understand your frustration, just don't go online if you don't want to be spoiled. simple as that. don't lash out on people who slip up. we are human. you probably would've been spoiled on stuff like dw regardless... as for st, things like shipping or dreamcasts, etc, are not spoilers. not really, because it's just talk. if it happens, it happens. but inadvertently calling someone out after asking them to tag it, in which they then did, being disrespectful-- is rude of you.

While I understand where you're coming from, let me state that I am talking to the person right now and we're good. I already apologised for lashing out and so did they, way before you sent this ask in. No real harm has been done. We'll get over it because we consider each other friends.

But let's talk about tagging, because a rule of thumb on tumblr is that you tag your posts.

You tag triggers and content warnings, you tag characters and actors and theories. It's not much to ask to be decent and use the system as it is. If I see a blog that doesn't tag, I do not follow it, and if it does, I filter whatever I don't want to see if I decide to follow them.

You can't possibly know that the content you put up/reblog won't trigger anyone. What if you reblogged something, didn't tag it, and it gave someone an anxiety attack? Surprise, it happens. For real, it happened to me once. It's not just MY fault if the person didn't tag! Hell, you can trigger people even if you use tags on your post. I triggered someone with a roleplay reply as well and it has been tagged appropriately! And hey, I got an ask once that this one person disliked FrostIron - but I'm tagging it so they don't have to see! Or, speaking of my good friend who accidentally slipped up - they're terrified of clowns (it's in their rules), so I'm sure they've filtered the word in order to never see any. There are also people who won't roleplay with specific face claims (eg. Amber H. is a great example), or deceased people (totally understandable, too). Filters are good, we all use them, and it exists for a reason.

Speaking of my problem, Stranger Things came out exactly a week ago. I can't imagine I'm all alone who hasn't seen all seven episodes yet. Not coming online is not an option, because I talk to lots of friends on here, and I also cope with writing I do on my side blogs these days.

Just for the record, I did not make that post in order to call out this one specific person (you used the word "inadvertently" but you're really trying to make me look bad for it), but everyone who doesn't tag at all. You do not need to be Tumblr police if you can't understand why is this upsetting for me. Especially if you have absolutely no idea whether I'm talking to the person about it or not, and apology and forgiveness went both ways or not.

Whoever comes here knows or learns pretty fast that Tumblr is a community and we respect each other and each other's boundaries. It's not Twitter where you can word vomit whatever the hell you want, whether your followers like it or not, and it's not Instagram where you mass post pics without any warnings whatsoever.

This is Tumblr, and we have basic rules. Tagging is one of them.
