The garment, worn by those in good standing with Hyrule royalty, has been reworked with the latest improvements, such as a new shoulder guard.

rain was pelting down, banging loudly on your windshield as you sat in your car. you ran your hands through your hair and sighed, everything around you seeming to only add to your bad mood. the rain was too loud. the car was too warm, but turning on the air had made it too cold. the pitch black sky made it harder to drive. there was an accident on the road, causing a delay. working long hours and filming non-stop had finally gotten to you and you were almost at your breaking point.
you picked up your umbrella and bag, leaving the car and beginning the short walk to your front door, but after a couple steps, the wind blew your umbrella inside out. you muttered swear words to yourself as you tried to fix it, but it wouldn’t budge. resisting the urge to throw it to the ground as hard as you could, you walked in the rain to your door. the lights were mostly off, except the living room lights which you could see had been dimmed down. you unlocked the door and stepped in, water dripping onto the mat. you took off your shoes and miserably walked to the living room, your feet dragging.
you saw billie sitting comfortably on the couch, a blanket wrapped around her and shark sitting next to her. as you approached, he jumped off the couch and ran to you. your mood improved a little as you pet the eager dog.
“hi baby,” billie said, peeling her eyes off the tv to look at you, a confused look on her face when she noticed your wet clothes and the wet hair dripping onto your face.
“hi,” you greeted.
“rough day?” she asked sympathetically, to which you nodded.
she got off the couch and gave you a kiss, making sure not to hug you so her clothes would stay dry.
“why don’t i go run you a bath? go throw your wet clothes in the dryer,” she offered.
you nodded again, words not wanting to come to you at that moment. you stripped into your underwear and billie gave you her blanket. you wrapped it around yourself to protect you from the cool house. you thanked her and headed towards the laundry room. once you finished in there, you headed upstairs. your master bathroom featured a large bathtub with jets, and despite your exhaustion, all you wanted was to step into the hot water. as you opened the door, you saw billie there, her back facing you. the mirrors had already fogged up and she had a speaker playing soft jazz in the background, the pitter-patter of the rain also audible. she had also lit a couple candles, though the smell in the room led you to think she had also added some of your favourite bath salts to the water. the fragrances alone had managed to calm you down tremendously from your earlier state. as the water rose, so did the bubbles. you stripped again, folding the blanket up and leaving it on the counter. billie shut the water off and turned on the jets. you stepped inside, the warmth enveloping you. the bubbles covered almost up to your collarbone and you let yourself to the water. billie was still sat on the ledge so you moved towards her and put your hands on either side of her face before kissing her.
“thank you,” you said.
she smiled back sweetly and got up to leave, but you grabbed her wrist.
“stay?” you pleaded softly.
“okay,” she gave in.
she stripped too, stepping into the tub so she was behind you. you sat between her legs and sunk down enough so that your head was rested on her chest. she caressed your legs tenderly and you let your eyes close for a moment, appreciating the environment you were in.
“this is nice,” you said, breaking the silence.
“mhm,” she hummed.
you looked up at her, you thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world.
“what is it?” she laughed.
“i love you,” you said, smiling cheesily.
“i love you too,” she smiled back, planting a kiss on your lips.
she kissed you once, but neither of you looked away, so you kissed her again. as you continued, you went from pecks, to almost making out. you grabbed her wrist, which was still under water, and placed her hand right above your clit. she smirked into the kiss, immediately knowing what you wanted. she teased your entrance, sliding her fingers across it a couple times before pushing in. she began to curl them to hit your g-spot, pumping in and out slightly. her other hand crawled its way up to your chest and she began to play with your nipple. your hands were placed right above her wrists and your head was thrown back so it was against her chest while moans slipped your lips.
the knot in your stomach began to build as she accelerated and by the way you were clenching around her fingers, she could tell you were close to finishing.
“fuck,” you moaned loudly, finally releasing into the water.
billie kissed you hard as she pulled her fingers out and the two of you stepped out of the now dirty bath water. now, you were even more tired than you had been before, but also much happier. it was safe to say that you slept better than you’d ever slept before that night.

Keep Your Distance (Request)
Pairings: Travis Kelce x Reader
Words: 2,094
Warnings: Angst, Language, Fighting
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“What time is your family getting to the stadium?” Travis asked you as he got ready to head to Arrowhead for the game against Green Bay. You were getting ready at your bathroom vanity, finishing up your hair and makeup. Your parents flew into Kansas City the night before, excited to get their first NFL game experience. “My dad set up a private tour of the stadium, so they might already be there.” Travis walked over and placed a gentle kiss in your hair. “Is your dad excited?” You turned quickly in your chair, making Travis laugh. “Are you kidding me? He wouldn’t shut up about how excited he was to see you play and how thankful he was that you got him these tickets on the 50-yard line. He called you son, baby, multiple times.” Travis couldn’t hide his smile if he wanted to, beaming with excitement. He knew the moment he met you he wanted to be with you forever, so your parent’s love and acceptance meant the world to him.
“Mom, Dad, over here!” you called your parents over to the entrance of the stadium, both of them looking lost in the crowd. They were small town folks who rarely left their home, so this was a new experience for them. “Love, there you are!”, your mom pulled you in for a tight hug, planting kisses all over your face like she’s done since you were a child. “Your dad had no idea where to go so we’ve been walking around the outside of the stadium for the past hour.” Your mom rolled her eyes as she looked back at your dad who was approaching. You took in the sight of your father, who was dressed in head-to-toe Chiefs gear, including a red and white knit beanie, even though it was a good 72 degrees outside. He was nose deep in the team program, reading the stats of all of the players. You chuckled when he bumped into another spectator, his eyes looking down at the book in his hands. “Hi Dad!” you wrapped an arm around him, laying your head on his shoulder, peering into the program. “Did you know Travis has 110 receiving yards, the third most receiving yards in the league? Is he here? I’d like to talk to him. I’ve got some ideas on how to improve his game.” You patted your dad on the back, trying to direct your parents to their seats. “I did Dad, he’s the best Tight End in the league. We’ll see him later tonight, he’s already getting ready.”
Once your parents were settled in their seats, you were finally able to enjoy your favorite part of the game: warmups. You and Travis had been dating for two years already, but every time he ran out of the tunnel to warm-up with the team, you felt like the giddy girlfriend of the quarterback in High School. Getting to see him in stretch in those tight pants was just an added bonus. Your seats were right behind KC’s bench, so when Travis was finished warming up he ran over to you to say hi.
“Hi, baby.” You leaned over the railing to give him a sweet kiss on the lips. “Hi, baby. You look amazing.” You blushed, grabbing his bicep. “Travis, you nervous?” your mom asked him. “No ma’am, just another game for me.” You gave Travis a look knowing he had told you last night that he was a bundle of nerves. He felt his play had been off the last two games, and the Packers were known shit talkers, so he wasn’t looking forward to this game at all. “Travis, I’ve been watching you play, I’ve got a couple of pointers-“, “Dad!”, you cut your dad off, Travis giving him a nice smile, and shaking his hand. You looked at your boyfriend, mouthing ‘I’m sorry’ to apologize for your dad. He squeezed your hand. “I’ll see you guys tonight, I’ll take all of the pointers I can get.” He gave you a wink before running back on the field. “See?” Your dad bumps you in the side, “you think I’m embarrassing him, but I’m only trying to help.” You rolled your eyes. “Dad, how would you feel if Travis came into your office and told you how to be a lawyer? You wouldn’t like it.” “The difference is I know something about football, Travis knows nothing about law.”
The first quarter was over pretty quickly, the Chiefs winning 14-3. Overall, the game was going well, but you could tell Travis was getting frustrated, the Packers defense all over him. “You got this baby!” you yelled out to Travis when he sat down on the bench as defense went out, KC turning the ball over after a field goal. He rolled his shoulders back, hanging his head low. Shortly after, Travis was back on the field, one minute counting down on the clock before the end of the quarter. He tried to catch his breath, his chest feeling tight. Quay Walker had been on him all game, running his mouth. It was usual football trash talk, but God he wanted him to just shut the fuck up. “You ain’t getting this one 87. Ain’t getting this one.” Walker called out to Travis trying to get into his head. Mahomes snapped the ball, looking for Kelce, but Travis was completely blocked, the ball thrown offsides. “Fuck!” Travis was slow to get up. You noticed immediately, your heart beating fast, hoping he wasn’t injured. Luckily, the only thing bruised was his ego.
Travis usually waved to you as he jogged off the field at half-time, but you weren’t expecting that this game because he was playing terribly, and sure enough he was one of the last people off the field, skulking slowly back to the locker rooms. “Come on, let’s go get lunch.” You led your parents up the stairs toward the private elevators to the suites. You were trying to distract them, so they didn’t see Travis like this. You knew what their impression of him meant to Travis, and this one game didn’t represent the man you loved at all.
The suite was filled with player wives and family, as well as some benefactors of the football program. You introduced your parents to some of your friends before grabbing a bite to eat. “Is Travis okay?” Brittany, Patrick’s wife sat down next to you, whispering in your ear. You shook your head, truthfully not sure. Appearances were everything, and the wives could be a little cliquey and mean, so you were careful about what you said. “He’s fine. He’s coming back in the second half.”
“Good! Patrick told me that Travis was getting blasted on the field, the Packers LB has been laying into him all game.” You scrunched your eyebrows in surprise, quickly changing your demeanor. “Where did you hear that?”
“Christina’s husband is the PT on the field, he’s been texting her all game.” You stood up from the table, gathering your empty plate. “Well, I don’t like to talk about rumors. I’m gonna go get my parents. Have a good night.” You hustled out of the dining room, grabbing your parents and heading back to the seats.
The third quarter was a lot more hostile, the players getting flagged left and right for small infractions. Travis needed to turn it around or KC was going to lose this game, tied up 21-21. “What the fuck is going on, man?” Patrick ran up to Travis on the field before they got into formation. “Nothin’, man. Let’s go” Travis ran to his position before any more questions could be asked. “Come on bitch, you might as well go home.” Walker was leaning into Travis’ body, planting an elbow into his ribs. “Shut the fuck up.” Travis retorted, his focus on the ball. When Patrick snapped the ball, Travis grabbed Walker’s jersey to steady himself, Walker losing his footing. The referee blew his whistle, his yellow flag in the air as soon as Walker hit the ground. “Unecessary Roughness. Number 87. Half the distance to the goal. 1st down.” You sighed at the ref’s call, keeping your eyes on Travis on the field. When it rains, it pours. “What the fuck was that call?!” Travis yelled toward the ref, but his teammates pushed him away before anything else was said.
Walker and Kelce went at it for the next few minutes, every hard push and foul word going unnoticed by the ref. “Man, you know what? When this game is over, I think I’ll give your bitch a call. She’s got a tight ass, I wonder what else is tight.” Travis whipped around, grabbing Walker by the jersey, their helmets knocking together. “What the fuck did you just say?!!” he threw the LB to the ground, seething as he stood over him. “My bad man, I meant to say I bet she’s got a tight pussy.”
You didn’t see much from your seat but a sea of players rushing over to Travis and Quay, a two-person interaction quickly turning into a brawl. The crowd was in a frenzy, cheering for the Chiefs as the refs tried to separate the players. Once the dust had settled, Travis was removed from the field and ushered to the bench, a bruise already forming on the left side of his face. The ref’s microphone echoed over the loudspeaker. “Unsportsmanlike conduct, Number 87, offense. Unsportsmanlike conduct, Number 7, defense. Both result in automatic ejection.” The crowd groaned and booed at the call, with one of their best players in the locker room, they were certain to lose the game. Your parent’s looked to you, worry blanketing both of their faces. “It’s alright”, you assured them. You weren’t really worried. This wasn’t the first time Travis had been ejected, and it surely wouldn’t be the last. You just hoped he was alright.
After the game you took your parents to the family area so they could sit and relax. You waited about an hour, watching all of the players exit the locker rooms. When you were sure he was alone, you headed back. Travis was taking his time getting dressed, sitting at his locker, his hoodie hanging around his neck. Sadness aside, your boyfriend was still the sexiest thing you had laid your eyes on. When he noticed you walk in, he sighed. You sat down on the ground in front of him, your legs criss crossed under you. He looked you in the eye, waiting for you to reprimand him. “I know what you’re going to say.” You shrugged, messing with the shoelace on his left shoe. “I’m not going to say anything.” He slipped off his seat, settling down the floor in front of you, his knees to his chest. “I don’t care why you did it. I know you had a good reason.” He grabbed your hand, massaging your fingers.
“You’re not mad about your parents seeing me act like an ass?”
“Are you kidding me? My dad loved it! He’s going to grill you with a hundred questions tonight. Be prepared.” Travis laughed, the tightness in his chest relaxing for the first time all day. You both stood up and Travis pulled you in close to him, and you wrapped your arms around his waist, giving his booty a squeeze. You rested on his chest, and he placed a kiss in your hair before resting his chin on your head. “My parents love you. You could fight the entire Packers roster and he’d ask you if you needed backup.” You felt Travis’ deep laugh in his chest. You looked up to give him a deep kiss, and you both headed out of the locker room.
“Travis!” Your dad jumped as soon as he saw you guys walking toward him. “Hey, Mr. Y/L/N.” Your dad pulled his program out of his back pocket, waiving Travis’ formalities off. “Please, it’s Alan. Listen, I’ve got some ideas for your game.” He turned the book to reveal that he had scribbled down various plays in pencil. “Dad, please, can we just do this later? I’m sure Travis is tir-“. Travis cut you off, reaching around you to grab the book out of your dad’s hands. “Is this a ‘Rollout Throwback’?” Your dad nodded his head fervently. “Babe, your dad might be onto something.” You rolled your eyes, releasing your hold from Travis’ waist. You and your mom walked away as the guys continued to talk strategy.

“Babe-babe. Calm on, we were supposed to get the ice half an hour ago!”
You didn’t reply, as you round the rink one more time, glancing over your shoulder as you skate backwards, before attempting to do another triple Lutz, landing albeit, a bit wobbly.
“She’s not gonna get off until she’s happy with her landing.” Logan said as he leaned against the outside of the rink, using the towel that hung on his shoulders to wipe some sweat away from his face. “Coach finally decided to put it into the program, and now she’s determined to perfect the move.” And to be fair, you were improving greatly at it, you don’t land on your ass anymore, but maybe it’s the whole “wanting to be in the next Olympics” thing you’ve got going on, but you were determined to keep going until you were satisfied.
“Come on Mig, your her boyfriend, go do something.” One of his teammates told him, his tone clearly agitated as he whined. Miguel shot him a quick glare (because he can complain about you taking up the hockey team’s rink time all he wants, but he’ll be damned if another one of the guys even rolls his eyes at you), before putting his helmet and stick on the ground, stepping on the ice just as you prepped for another go at the move. You barely got time to look over your shoulder when you hear the noise of other skates slashing the ice when you let out a squeal of surprise from the sudden feeling of patted arms going around your waist and lifting you off the ice, you didn’t even have to glance back to know who it was, mostly because this had become a somewhat common occurrence for you.
“Miguel!”
“Nope. Don’t wanna hear it princesa. You know how this works.” His tone was one of scolding, which only made you roll your eyes because you knew that he had that smug smirk on his face. You could only cross your arms as you wait for him to skate you back to the entrance of the ring. (Princess)
“See you after practice?” He asked as he placed you back down, helping you out of the rink, once you were off the rest of his team hurried on the ice to set up the goals.
“Yeah, yeah.” Despite your best efforts to look upset, you could help the smile that crept onto your face. “We’re gonna go to that taco truck right?”
He just nodded, placing his hands on your hips and pulling you towards him, smiling softly as he pulls you into a kiss, your hands automatically going to rest on his chest.
“Hey lovebirds! Get a room!”
“Come on (Y/N), we need our captain!”
Miguel pulled away and let out an annoyed huff as you covered your laugh with your hand, the spiders just loved to pick on you guys. Miguel gave you one last peck before going up to join the rest of his team on the ice, while you put on your skate guards, not even attempting to hide the smile on your face as Logan made kissy faces at you in a lighthearted attempt to mock you.

It'll be alright || Colby Brock
[inspired] "feels like i'm always apologizing for feeling."
[req by anon] At the end of the day, it seems that the ones you least expect are the ones that are always by your side at your worst.
warnings: shy/introvert!reader, mentions of self-abandonment, angst, self/degrading, cursing, anxiety, hurt/comfort?
a/n: i'll prolly do the banner soon enough, also not proofread at all so if there's something that sounds.. weird, my bad ;; i'll fix it eventually

You knew it wasn't quite healthy for you disregard your own feelings like this, but you got so used to it.
You hid them so well at times, you feared you weren't even being honest with yourself.
Being a people pleaser wasn't something you wanted to do, but somehow managed to end up being. You never really wanted to make people upset, so you tried your best to help out as much as you could whenever you were able to.
Turning out like this also lead to friends that weren't really there for you, but you were always there for them.
You always were.
Even when they made fun of you, whenever they asked you for so many favours you knew you weren't going to get back, you were always there. You persisted in this so called "friendship" merely because they seemed to actually like hanging out with you.
At least it's what you thought at the time.
And honestly, who could blame you? Although it was most certainly a toxic friendship, they genuinely added you to most conversations. It wasn't as if you were only there to fill up the background most of the time.
Right?
"Hey babes, would you mind buying us some drinks?"
"Buying? Soph, I'm not even drinking tonight, I-"
"Really? You're going to do this to us? After we've invited your ass here? You're really trying to make us look bad?" She spat back, making you nervous.
It's all too familiar.
This has happened too many times for your comfort, and it always seemed to work in their favour; even when you tried to avoid it.
"N-no! I'm just saying that you could-" She put a hand infront of you.
"Shush. God, you're making my ears bleed." She whined before getting closer to your face. "Look, you go over there and ask for five shots of tequila, m'kay? Be a good one for me tonight, it also might improve your own reputation so, you know, stop talking and start moving honey. Tap tap." Her cunning smile and slight push on your shoulder made your heart race in an abnormal speed.
You really didn't want to. You really shouldn't, actually. But they were your friends, weren't they? You're doing this because they're friends.
Yeah, well. Keep telling yourself that lie.
Walking towards the bar and waiting for the drinks, there was this guy waiting right beside you. He looked at you with an amused smirk.
"Five? That's impressive."
"They're not for me." You responded with a half smile.
"Not even one?" He raised a brow, gaining a slight shake of your head as a response. "Sucks. Can I buy you one then?"
You look back at him, now with an amused expression yourself. Taking out his card and giving it to the barista before even letting you pull out your wallet, you looked at his deep, blue eyes.
"Bill's on me this time. Looks like you need a little break." He whispered, a small wink quickly after.
"Well, thank you, kind stranger." You said, taking all of the shots with you and looking back at him.
"Colby." He answered, trying to give you a handshake only to see your hands full and laugh. "Right."
You giggled. "I'm Y/n. Thank you again, Colby." And so, you walked away.
Sam, walking towards Colby after watching his obvious intend of flirting with you, putting his hand on his shoulder and said while looking at you walk away.
"You should've helped her dude."
"Ah, shit."
✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩
"God, I can't believe I still invite you to these, you're so ungrateful." She sobbed, "After all you've done to us I still invite you regardless, and this is how you repay us? Your friends?"
You paused, looking slightly down while the dramaqueen infront of you began fanning her eyes and looking up, trying to not ruin her perfect makeup with her fake tears. You tried to restrain your own feelings, closing your hand into a fist, feeling yourself getting frustrated by the second.
The word friends ached in your heart for the very first time, and you knew it wasn't a good sign. "Sorry." You whispered, basically apologizing for feeling. Again.
In the end, you were still too shy to try and confront yourself to her. You knew you would lose, even though you've already created a million different ways of repelling every single one of her insults.
She was too predictable, too easy to contradict. But she had something you didn't.
Confidence.
Maybe if it weren't for the dozens of people that could be staring straight through you, you might be able to have a chance. Even then, you knew better. You get nervous too easily to try and spat back shit to this princess. Slowly but surely, you were starting to lose hope in this so called friendship you had with her and her other dogs.
Or maybe it was already gone, you just didn't want to admit it to yourself.
You were tired.
The stress, the anxiety that was draining you was too much. It wasn't worth it, and you knew it.
What made you keep going? Was it because you were comfortable? Did you not want to try something new? Were you too accustomed to their presence that it made it hard to walk away? Yeah, most likely.
"I can't with you today. You're such a meanie." Soph argued, turning away. "Do whatever you fucking want. Get lost or whatever, I'm not taking you home." She walked away with her group. Their judgemental glares were enough to carve a hole in your heart.
It wasn't only them, but the people that got a glimpse of the situation began murmuring. The feeling of being watched, judged and laughed at by strangers. An unbearable, overwhelming feeling that stopped you in place. You were feeling yourself loose air, your hands shaky at the mere thought and paranoia you were collapsing yourself with.
On the mere edge of tears, you felt a hand on your shoulder, making you jump in surprise. "Oh, my bad." They laughed. A familiar male voice released you from the thoughts. You looked at his face. Colby. "Didn't mean to scare you. Saw you all alone so I passed by to say hello. You doing okay?" He smiled.
Somehow, that smile is all you needed. Your eyes fluttered while you fixated your vision on his pretty face. You smiled back. "Yeah, yeah. Doing good." You tried to compose yourself once again.
Surprisingly, it was easy because of him. His jokes, flirty comments and pretty smile made you completely forget how you were on the edge of a panic attack barely a few hours ago.
"I'll be honest with ya. Last time? You made me so shy that I was going to ask for your number then completely forgot up until it was already too late." He laughed, so contagious that it made you giggle back. "Would you mind giving me a chance of texting you once in a while? Of course, if you don't mind."
"Yeah, sure, I don't mind." You gave him your number. A part of you hoping it wasn't yet another prank that would make you break into despair, but at the same time, you wanted to believe. You still had hope; not everyone is bad. Right?
After passing numbers, you notice the time in your phone. "Ah, shit. I should be leaving, it's too late." You stood up from your seat, fixing yourself up.
"Oh, well, are you driving?" He asked, standing up after you.
"Oh... um. I guess I'll have to call an uber, since my... friend will probably be staying." You mumbled slightly, remembering that bitter memory from not so long ago.
"Mind if I drive you home then?" A soft smile on his face; a sincere one. You looked at him, dazed for a moment. "...Is... Is that a yes?"
"Oh, uh... are you sure? I wouldn't want to bother you." You respond quickly.
"Bother me? Not at all. You've been my light of the party tonight." He laughs at his own statement. "Come on, let's get you home, sweetheart." He followed, putting his hand at your upper back, walking you towards the exit.
You didn't argue about it. In fact, you preferred to leave as quickly as possible, and he was giving you that chance. It was nice, it felt nice to have what you wanted for a change, even if it was as simple as leaving a party sooner than later.
After an annoyingly quick ride back home, you thanked him prefusely before walking back into your appartment.
Tonight took a toll on you emotionally; feeling dread and such a big pleasure at the same time. After a much needed shower and a midnight snack, you heard your phone.
A text? Who would even text you this late at night? You started questioning if it was Soph or one of the other girls, only to soothe the rising stress when you saw the text from a new contact.
Hey, it's Colby. Hoping you didn't give me a wrong number
It made you chuckle while responding right away.
I'm not the type to do that, don't worry
Oh, I'm glad, would've been heartbroken if you did
Did you go back to the party?
Nah, went straight home. The friend that was with me said he was going to stay longer but I went home
Why did you not go?
The life of the party left
Who?
You?
You rolled your eyes at the comment. This cheeky bastard.
You loved it.
Talking for a few more minutes, your eyelids began to close on their own. Your sleep schedule catching up to you.
It didn't take long until you fell asleep.
After some weeks, your supposed friends stopped texting you. One or two parties where you were left uninvited. It didn't bother you much, but at the same time, you were thinking of what you were missing; overthinking around the way it would've turned out great.
But also how wrong it could've been.
It was almost 11 pm, you've been watching the stories of your friends having fun without you. Nothing new, until a text from Colby made it change.
Haven't seen you at the party
Your heart ached. Someone expecting you was something... new. You were blaming yourself, even though it wasn't really your fault.
Kinda sick. Couldn't go.
Aw, that sucks. Hope you get well soon
It felt wrong to do this, but at the same time, nothing new to you. Trying to cover up the true feelings behind the kind smile you always put up.
Thank you.
A couple of minutes passed before another answer came through.
Party's getting boring, wish you were here
Trying to hype me up, Colby?
Is it working?
A little.
You smiled at his small attempts. He's been texting you enough to know there's been a distance between your group of friends. Some personal information between the both of you getting mixed up through conversations, getting to know eachother in a more personal level.
Him, having such an odd job being a 'ghosthunter' and (somehow worst, or maybe better?) he had proof of it. You, on the other hand, another slave to capitalism. Even worse, a slave to a more toxic relationship than your ex boyfriend. Your friends.
Usually, you wouldn't be the type to open up like this; but one thing turned into another and now here we are. A stranger that knows you better than every single person that's passed by your life, merely because he's asked the right questions at the right time. A master with words.
Sooo can we be honest then? Are you actually sick?
I'm impressed at how well you've come to know me.
Figured. You coming to the party then?
I wasn't invited.
How come? I'm inviting you right now
What?
I can take a plus one with me
I want you to be my plus one
…are you serious? I'm not even like, ready or anything.
Are you even sure? I'm not fun.
Take your time sweetheart. Tell me when I'm able to pass by
Also what do you mean you're not fun? Take that back right now
Your cheeks felt warm. You've come to learn to read emotions though text as the time passed by; knowing when you were really not wanted or knowing when somebody else was interested in things outside your circle.
This, however. These texts from this... guy. They felt genuine.
Thank you
It's really no biggie, I want you to come with me (if you want, of course)
So put on something sexy
For the party, of course
You chuckled at the comment. You weren't able to fully comprehend if he was being serious or just as flirtatious as always. But you didn't mind. Right now, you were about to go into a party. Why? God knows.
Maybe you do too, but you wouldn't like to admit it.
Not now, at least.
Standing up and walking toward your wardrobe, you skimmed through it. What should you wear? Something normal as always? Is it even worth it to try and switch it up for a change? You never really tried to make yourself look appealing, there was no reason to anyways.
But this time? Fuck it. It was different. You weren't going with them, you were going with him. You sighed, pushing yourself to wear the most decent looking dress you could find in your closet; fitted with some high heels the same color of the dress.
Finishing off your makeup, you saw your phone light up.
I'm here, take your time
Panicked, you replied.
Thought you were going to wait for me to finish??
I am?
Not in front of my house???
We can leave right away when you're done
Stop arguing, I don't mind waiting here
Come inside at least
Don't mind if I do then
Sighing, you looked at yourself in the mirror. You weren't going to take longer than 5 minutes, but you felt bad leaving him outside. Walking towards your front door, you gulped down the nerves and opened up the door.
He was as fine as always, looking down at his phone before raising his head and looking at your face. His mouth opened slightly, unable to move for a moment.
You were stunning in his eyes. Looking at you up and down, he had to catch his own breath. How was he this lucky to be able to be next to this beauty?
"Is it... too weird? I'm not the type to commonly use these type of clothes..." You almost whispered, doubting your looks.
"You're kidding." He was able to respond. "I've never seen someone look this beautiful." You smiled and rolled your eyes. "I'm serious. Are you seriously not aware."
"Not aware of what?" You asked, a slight frown on your face due to the confusion.
"Of how gorgeous you look?" The frown quickly turned into a surprised look, your cheeks turning red at the revelation.
Hugging slightly your door to try and find comfort, you looked away from his graze. "Get in, I'm still not done." You said and be obliged. Closing the door behind him, you told him to get comfortable while you finished yourself up.
It didn't take you long, fortunately. A few fixes around the eyes and you were basically done. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you were satisfied with yourself this time. You didn't feel forced, heck, you felt beautiful. Perhaps it was Colby's comments that affected your mental state, but whatever it was, it felt good.
Walking back towards the man in your living room, you heard him whistle at you, which made you laugh.
"I'm gonna have so many death stares walking with you tonight."
✮ ⋆ ˚。𖦹 ⋆。°✩
Nervousness filled you up when you walked inside the party. Holding onto Colby's arm, he could feel your hand shaking. He gave you a reassuring look, one that said "Everything's going to be fine."
And you tried to believe it as much as you could.
Whatever you seemingly expected from the night somehow turned into the greatest parties you've ever experienced.
Perhaps it was because you were with Colby's friends instead of yours.
Maybe it was the fact that you were actually connected into their conversation instead of being pushed out. Being listened to instead of ignored and getting talked over.
Was this what it felt to be having fun? You almost forgot this was what it's supposed to be like. It felt nice.
"I'll be right back. Gotta to to the bathroom." You said standing up from your seat.
"I'll go and get some drinks in the meantime. Anyone wants a refill?" Colby asked, nodding at the requests he was receiving. You smiled at him before walking away.
You were quick in finding the bathroom, finishing what you had to do soon enough and getting out of the room.
Before you started walking towards the group, you got pushed away and in the center of a bunch of girls, smirking at you. Judging you. Your heart sank as fast as you recognized just one of them.
"Who do we have here?" Soph teased, a sly smirk on her face. "Isn't it too late for you? Thought you would've been at home. It's past your bedtime, isn't it?" Laughs were heard from the group surrounding you.
No, no, no. This wasn't a good time for this. You were having fun, you were doing so good! You've never felt better at a party and now all of it was destroyed.
"It's none of your business, Soph." You could hear a gasp after your response. A dramatic, opened mouthed expression on her face.
"Oh, so, now that you've found a new stupid little group of freaks now you think you can talk back at me?" She spat out.
You looked slightly to the side. "You just called yourself a freak." You thought, unable to actually argue back. You felt a hand on your chin, making you look at her directly to her eyes.
"Look at me when I'm talking to you." She demanded. You gulped, trying to compose yourself as hard as you could just to not shiver under her. You had to be strong, to proof to her you were better.
But it was hard.
"Think your stupid little face will be fixed with a bit of makeup? Ha." She scoffed, looking at your whole outfit this time. "Someone as ugly as you won't be fixed by a little change of outfit. Not even if that friend of yours tells you otherwise. Or maybe not a friend? Who knows? It's not like he's interested in you anyways." She grinned, roughly moving your face towards a specific corner of the group.
And there you saw it, it was Colby. With another girl. Your heart sank, for some reason. Your breath escaped your lips as it got shaky, eyes quickly watering when you saw her get a bit too close to his face while he, with some drinks on his hands, was unable to do anything.
Why were you feeling like this anyways? It's not like you guys were something, were you? Why did it hurt this much? Your expression softened at the illusion you had made so quickly. So dumb, of course he wasn't interested.
"What's wrong? Did you silly little confidence already shatter? That was so easy." She almost sounded dissapointed. A push on your back was enough for you to fall onto the ground. It's not like you weren't about to anyways, your legs were already shaking at the mere thought that everything that has been going on was a mere lie.
A setup.
You heard laugher, whilst barely holding yourself up by the palms of your hands. "How pathetic. You shouldn't have even come. Now you're just being a bother to another group, another dead weight."
And they were right, you believed they were right. You believed them so easily that it was almost funny.
You could hardly breathe, the tears dwelling onto your eyes as a thick blurriness covered your vision. You couldn't hold it anymore, the stress... it all came to the surface quick enough. The music dissipating into the distance as you heard yourself breathing heavily; the only sound you could focus on.
The sound of you losing your mind. Your heart pounding hard. Too hard, perhaps. It ached. You could feel the frown on your face while the tears kept on flowing.
Come on, you were better than this. Why are you acting this way? You can easily act neutral like always, smiling, ignoring all of these feelings.
But breathing was hard, the murmurs of other people being only that; whispers you could barely understand. You felt like you had no control of yourself, like you were trapped in this center of humiliation of people you once called friends.
But they never intended to be your friends from the start; they were only using you.
This wasn't the first time either. Over and over again you were considered the center of humiliation of these people, the only difference is that this time was the last straw that broke off the mask you tried to so desperately to keep on.
A pair of hands began shaking you, trying to make you stand up from the floor. You couldn't pay attention to who it was, as you were busy enough dealing with the sudden lost of oxygen.
Maybe even a lost of self.
Barely able to walk due to your legs feeling numb from the unbearable feeling in your chest, whoever it was helped you out and moved your arm around their neck. You're not exactly sure what happened, but before you could even get yourself together, you noticed you were outside.
Still breathing heavily, finally, you looked at the figure that helped you out.
Colby.
It only made your panic attack worse. You started crying harder when you saw his face. The pain of being a fool was covered in your face.
"Hey, come on, breathe." He tried to give you your space. Far enough to let you calm down, close enough to hold you up. But he ended up hugging you closer when he noticed how broken you seemed.
You didn't hesitate and held him tighter. "I'm sorry, I.. I... I sh-shouldn't..." You sniffed, trying to find the right words to say. You felt the urge to try and explain yourself to him. Your vision was blurry and finding yourself choking with your own words.
"Let it all out, don't worry. I'm here for you, okay?" He whispered sweet nothings in your ear, his hands caressing your back as he spoke. "Breathe. Calm down your breathing first, sweetheart. It'll be alright."
Shaking in his arms, you found yourself comforted by his scent. Breathing in his cologne felt almost hypnotizing. His way of calming you down absolutely worked. For the most part. Sniffing, you tried to explain yourself, trying to argue to yourself that these feelings shouldn't have appeared, it was all a mere accident.
But your cries were more than enough to make him understand at least half of the situation. He was sure it was your friends, but for some reason you were pleading for forgiveness to him. "Hey... you don't owe me an explination, yeah?" He wiped a few lost tears through the run down mascara and cupped your head in his hands, smiling back at you. "Want me to take you home?"
You were barely able to respond with a little nod. It was all he needed.
It was a decently quiet ride. Colby took it upon himself to try and make you feel alright, holding onto your shaky hand and softly caressing it.
When he parked infront of your home, as he was about to walk out of the car, you stopped him. Looking back at you, he understood and sat back down. You didn't want to go inside, or maybe you didn't want to stand up overall, which he didn't mind if it meant for you to feel alright.
With your shivering lips and puffy eyes, you sniffed whilst wiping some dry tears from your cheeks. The stress has calmed down and you're able to breathe normally once again.
He was patient with you. He didn't try and make you speak up or got tired, he waited. Waited until you said something or wanted to move.
"Sorry." You finally spoke. He kept his eyes on your eyes, waiting for you to elaborate. "I was... a mess, it shouldn't have happened." You wiped some tears before looking at him. He seemed... confused.
"What do you mean it shouldn't have happened?" He asked.
"You're just... trying to have fun while I'm here just... ruining your night. I told you I wasn't fun. You could've found someone else to go with, I-"
"Who said I wanted someone else?" He interrupted.
It made you quiet down for a few seconds before talking back. "Well, I mean..." You sniffed. "You were... with... there was someone else, I just thought... you just... wanted someone... to... um... I don't know... hang around with, not something to carry." It was hard for you to explain yourself.
What were you even trying to explain? Were you just upset because you 'ruined his night' or because of something else? You were confused. "Who? The annoying girl? She randomly came to me, I couldn't even move her away because I had the drinks on my hands."
Annoying was a word that stood out to you. It seemed your overthinking got the best of you. Perhaps whatever you believed wasn't true? Looking at his face dumbfounded, he smirked. "What? Were you jealous?"
That was another word that stood out. Your cheeks fluttered and you murmured to yourself whilst looking away. "As if..." You could hear his contagious laugh after your words, making you smile slightly.
There was a comfortable silence before he spoke again.
"I saw it. Last time. Your 'friends'... The way she didn't even hesitate on making herself the victim when she saw fit. I had to control myself that night, that plastic face of hers was about to change shape if I didn't." He laughed to himself.
You were quiet, so he continued. "Honestly, it made me so mad that even though I was going to try and talk to you anyways, I had to make sure you didn't go back to them. I didn't want you to. You don't deserve friends like that, no one does." His brows furrowed at the thought.
"...It's not like I wanted to, either. I guess I just... got used to it." You whispered, looking at his hands covering yours. He held them tighter and got slightly closer to kiss your forehead, giving you a soft smile afterwards.
"I don't know if you'll ever try to trust again after all of that, but... would you give me a chance to be your friend? For now, who knows if I might level up later on." It made you smile. It always made you smile.
And you wanted to trust. To trust him, even though it might break your heart in the long run. Right now, you just wanted to feel safe, and he was the safest bet. "I guess I can give you a chance. And... let's see if you're able to upgrade sooner than later." He could only smile brighter, kissing your knuckles before changing his tone of voice to a more energetic one.
"So, wanna get drunk in your house? I have a Jack Daniel's in the trunk."
"Wha..."

Jaune was heading back to his dorm room after a session at the gym following Nora's workout routine (Seeing as he was still standing was proof that he was improving) when he heard two familiar voices.
From the sound of it, it seemed like they were in some sort of argument.
"I'm telling you, Blake's is just better."
"Coming from someone with simple taste, I'd rather not take your word."
"Simple?!"
Jaune rounded the corner and saw that it was Sun and Neptune who were arguing. "Sun? Neptune? What's going on? Why are you arguing?" He asked.
The two other students turned to see Jaune. "Jaune, buddy, we were just looking for you!" Neptune said, his mood taking a 180 degree turn.
Sun, still with a narrowed and determined look on his face, continued. "Yeah, settle this debate for us."
Jaune was unsure but couldn't help himself. He liked hearing good debates about certain topics after all. "Okay. Hit me." Jaune said. Maybe this was about some book or movie. But then again Blake's name was mentioned so that kind of narrowed down the list of possible discus-
"Between Blake and Weiss, who do you think has the better butt." Sun bluntly asked.
"..."
"..."
"..."
Jaune stared at the two Haven students, wondering if he heard right. "I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"
"Which girl has the better ass?" Neptune repeated. "Weiss' lean, toned behind, or Blake's overly large-"
"Hey!" Sun cut in. "That's not cool!"
Jaune silently agreed with Sun, appreciating that his fellow blonde was defending his friends' dignit-
"Your putting words in his head to sway his decision!" Sun accused, putting his finger close to Neptune's face.
Scratch that, Sun was just as bad.
Sun pushed on. "Besides, Weiss is just too small."
Neptune was quick to rebuke. "But Blake's is too big. Those type of butts jiggle at just a gust of wind. It reminds me of those rubber things with thin gel inside."
"Bigger is better. I'd prefer an ass with some meat on it. It's got its own name for crying out loud! The Bellabooty is superior."
"But age will ruin it, it'll become saggy. A butt like Weiss' basically stays the same. And it shows she actually takes care of herself with a good workout."
Jaune shook his head as Sun and Neptune continued to argue. This was getting ridiculous and he didn't want any part of it. He was about to say so until...
"Gentleman." A stern voice cut in, making all three men freeze in fear. Sun and Neptune looked at Jaune, or rather behind him. Jaune himself slowly turned around and came face to face with an unamused Glynda Goodwitch.
"I understand your at an age in which your hormones can sometimes get the better of you and that you can't help but notice those of the opposite sex, so I will let you off with a warning. But should I catch you talking about your fellow students in such a degrading manner, I will not be so lenient. " She warned, her glare sending shivers down all their spines.
Professor Goodwitch then focused on Jaune. "Mr. Arc, my office." She ordered shortly.
Jaune sputtered. "Bu-but I wasn’t-!" He tried to protest.
Only to stop Immediately at the combat instructor's narrowed gaze. "That wasn't a request, Mr. Arc." She then turned and headed for her class room.
Jaune stood rooted while Sun empathetically patted his shoulder. "Tough break, pal."
"Yeah. sorry, dude." Neptune added.
Jaune gave the pair a small glare, showing the apology wasn't accepted.
"Mr. Arc! I won't be kept waiting!" Goodwitch's voice made Jaune hurriedly follow along.

Glynda strode into her glass room and stood by her desk, her back towards Jaune, who entered after Glynda. He was quick to defend himself. "Professor, I wasn't a part of that. I was about to tell them to stop but you-."
"I'm well aware of that, Mr. Arc. I heard it all." Miss Goodwitch stated, her back still facing Jaune.
Jaune grew confused. "So why was I-."
"Simple, Jaune." Glynda said and lifted up her skirt.
Tumblr media
Jaune's throat became instantly dry as he stared at his girlfriend's bare ass.
"I wanted to remind you that my behind is much better than Miss Schnee and Miss Belladonna's." Glynda's voice changed from stern to sultry and low.
Jaune looked at the meaty behind, mesmerised. It was like seeing the sun rise. You can see it a thousand times and never get bored of it. (And you'd dread never seeing it again.) He stepped close to Glynda as if in a hypnotic trance and unconsciously raised an open hand.
'SMACK!!!'
Glynda's eyes widened at the stinging sensation on her ass before closing her eyes and moaning in pleasure as the offending hand began to gently massage and squeeze it. She then gave a small giggle as she felt a finger slip under her panties and rub her puckered asshole, but that giggle turned into a gasp as the digit it lightly pushed against her hole, as if testing the tightness.
"Honestly, Jaune. Ever since you convinced me to try anal sex, I have a hard time deciding if I want to feel you in my pussy and filling up my womb or have you in my ass and painting my guts white." Glynda breathed over her shoulder.
"I think teaching you dirty talk is the best thing I've done." Jaune whispered into her ear, earning another shiver from Glynda. "And it doesn't really need to be said. But your ass if way better."
The pair shared one more look of love and lust before pressing their lips together.

Miss Professor

Tumblr media
Jason finds you in the bowels of the university library.
Out of four giant floors of books and computer labs at Central Kansas A&M (CKM), they just had to put the Writing Center in the non-proverbial basement. There you have to wear at least two layers at all times, despite the late-spring swelter outside.
Like now, when he enters the Writing Center lobby and finds you at your desk, tapping your red pen on your lip as you work on revising an essay. Jason smiles at the sight of your fuzzy red and green sweater over your jeans and ankle boots.
“You know, Christmas came and went, like, five months ago,” he teases.
You glance up at him as he steals a chair from your coworker’s desk. She’s conveniently been on break…for two hours now. Leaving you with a mildly enormous stack of essays to edit and leave feedback on.
“Yeah well, I’m running out of winterwear. It’s almost summer, for God’s sake,” you grouse. And yet, you shiver when another pass of the AC vent above your head hits your back.
Jason smiles, but he also shrugs off his jacket and drapes it around your frame. It’s lighter than what you’re wearing, but he hopes the added layer helps. You can’t help smiling up at him, though your brows end up furrowing.
“Oh, don’t do that, you’re gonna be freezing,” you protest. You try to take off the jacket, but Jason stops you by wrapping it snugly around your shoulders.
“It’s okay, I don’t plan on being here that long,” he replies.
You raise a brow. “Oh really?”
Jason grins. “You’ve got my British Lit. paper, right?”
You narrow your eyes at him, with a light grumble. “Some friendship this is. You only come to see me when you want something.”
Jason mock frowns at that accusation, but he plies you with raised brows and waggling “gimme” fingers until you relent. You reach back into your files with a sigh and hand him his ten-page essay, complete with your revisions and suggestions for the final draft.
“Here you go, freeloader,” you quip.
“Many thanks, Miss Professor,” Jason rejoins.
The nickname always manages to make your face warm a bit, no matter how you try to stamp down the butterflies in your stomach. It doesn’t help when he smiles at you like that.
His glinting green eyes soon dim, however, as he takes in the sheer amount of red marking up the pages of his essay. All 10 pages.
“Damn, woman. Was it that bad?” he asks.
“You’re actually getting better,” you say with a smile. “I’m seeing signs of improvement.”
Jason continues to flip through with a frown. “Right.”
Though when he actually starts reading your revisions, the familiar slopes of your handwriting, his disappointment begins to relent. You’ve made corrections here and there, but you’ve also written a lot of encouragements in the margins, like, “Good use of the word ‘solidarity.’”
And, “This whole paragraph perfectly explains your point. Just add a transition into the next section and you’re golden.”
Not to mention his personal favorite: correcting his typo on eggzagerate, and drawing a doodle of a fried egg above it. He doesn’t think you do that for all your customers.
It makes him smile.
Though he looks up when he hears you yawn. You try to stifle it, but he can see clearly now that you’re tired. It’s almost 9 p.m.
“How long have you been working?” he asks.
“Since I got out of my last class at 5,” you admit. Finally, you spot your coworker coming back from her break (and she’s still on the phone, chatting away to her boyfriend).
“Have you even eaten dinner?” Jason asks.
You shake your head, with a pointed glare at your coworker. “No time. I’ve been chained to this place all night.”
The girl gives you a fake smile when she returns to her desk and grabs one of the thinnest essays from the pile. After shooting her one last narrowed look, you give Jason your full attention. He’s trying to temper his smirk.
“Come on,” he says, nudging your arm. “Let me treat you to the Central Kansas delicacy of Chicken Finger Friday.”
You laugh at that; the university food court leaves much to be desired. You still have plenty of work to do, but you’re willing to push it off until tomorrow and take him up on his offer, if it means a hot meal and spending some time with your friend. It’s been a few weeks since it’s been just the two of you, hanging out.
After grabbing your backpack and clocking out for the night, you and Jason walk together across campus. The evening air is warm. It begins to defrost you as you two venture down the sidewalk. You smile to yourself and playfully bump into his side.
Jason shoots you a grin and bumps you back, though he grabs your arm when the heel of your boot catches on the edge of the sidewalk. You both fumble a bit and laugh.
You tuck a wily strand of hair behind your ear. Part of you wants to ask what he’s doing this weekend. Maybe he’d want to go to the lake with you, hang out on the dock, or go for a swim…
But of course, that’s when his phone buzzes. He fishes it out of his pocket and his brows raise. The text is from Lana, asking him if he can come to the Talon.
I really need your help with something.
Jason lets out a breath and looks up at you apologetically.
You know that look.
“Your girlfriend?” you ask, trying not to sound too disappointed.
Jason nods. “I hate to do this to you, but we’ve both been so busy, I haven’t seen her all week.”
And this is the first time this week that Lana has reached out to him first, wanting to see him… Well, she’s also asking for a favor, but she wants to see him.
“You know, one of these days I’d love to meet this mysterious girl,” you remark, lightly shoving his arm.
Jason smiles, but inside he’s clamming up. For obvious reasons, he hasn’t told you that he’s dating Lana Lang. Though it doesn’t make it easy to keep it from you, to lie to you. Over the course of the school year, you’ve become one of his closest friends here in Smallville.
You encourage him to explore his interests and keep focused in school, and you’ve often been a listening ear whenever juggling his classes and helping to coach the Smallville High football team stress him out.
And he’s done the same for you. With your time split between being a teacher's aid at Smallville High and working in the Writing Center to make ends meet between classes, you've done your share of venting, sometimes through frustrated tears. Jason's been more than willing to provide a strong shoulder to lean on.
Now, you don’t know that dating Lana is part of his stress, but he just…can’t afford to tell you.
It doesn’t matter that Lana’s 18, and he met her months before he took this coaching job. This is a small town, and he knows how people will talk if word gets out that he’s dating a high school senior. Not to mention, he’d get very fired.
“I’m sorry,” he says to you. “This seems important.”
Again, you have to hide your disappointment when you smile at him. “It’s okay. I should probably get back to work anyway—”
“Uh-uh. No,” Jason says, grabbing your arm when you start to turn in the direction of the Writing Center. "You’re done for the night. I wanna see you marching full-speed for those dry-ass chicken tenders.”
He nods toward the campus food court, making you expel a sigh.
“If I must,” you lament.
“And you’d better not keep working on your laptop,” he warns. “If you so much as crack open that Mac, I’ll know.”
He levels a finger at you as he walks away. You roll your eyes and head to the food court, with the promise of food just beyond the glass doors.
After a moment, you chance looking back at Jason. He catches your gaze, and he points two fingers from his eyes to your face in stern warning.
You giggle and shake your head at him, but you keep walking toward the food court.
Jason smirks in satisfaction. He continues on to the parking lot, and to his car.
Tumblr media
When Jason gets to the Talon, he crosses paths with Clark, who’s just walking out.
“Hey, man,” Jason greets, with a jovial pat on the younger man’s shoulder. Though he can’t help but wonder why the guy is here at this time of night. “Little late for a coffee fix, huh?”
“Hey, Coach T,” Clark smiles. “Could say the same about you.”
Jason blinks at that. He cards a hand through his short hair and laughs it off. “Yeah, I was in the mood for a slice of your mom’s coffee cake. Any left?”
Martha Kent supplied the Talon with its baked goods, and they were most certainly worth driving across town for. It’s a pretty good excuse, if he says so himself.
Clark nods. “Yeah, should be.”
“All right. G'night,” Jason says. Clark nods and waves goodbye before he heads to his red truck in the parking lot.
Jason shakes his head and steps into the coffee shop, where he finds Lana alone. She’s cleaning up a large takeout bag from Gino’s, the Italian restaurant across the street. He silently takes note of it, but doesn’t yet comment when he kisses his girlfriend in greeting.
“Why’d you send up the Bat Signal on this fine Friday night?” he asks, wrapping her in his arms.
Lana smiles up at him. “Well, I’m probably going to be slammed all weekend with the shop, but I’ve got this huge speech for class on Monday and was hoping you’d help me practice.”
She pulls those doe-like hazel eyes on him, and Jason’s almost captured by them. This time, he lets out a small sigh.
“You know I’m always down to help you out. Always. But you know, we haven’t just hung out in a while now,” he points out.
Lana concedes to that with an incline of her head, but she still eases out of his arms to finish cleaning up.
“Yeah, I’ve just been really busy,” she says.
“I have too,” Jason replies. “But even with my crazy schedule, going back and forth from campus, don't I still make time for you?”
Case in point, he was willing to come out to her on the drop of a hat, late at night, and on the crunch week before his final exams. But he would be hard-pressed to remember a time when Lana went out of her way to see him.
Lana pauses, casting him a frown. "I'm trying my best, Jason. You know I'm graduating in a few weeks. Everything's ramped up to 11 this year."
Yeah, I know the feeling, Jason thinks, but after a moment, he caves with a nod, even though his gaze lingers on the Gino's bag.
“Have you eaten?” he tests. “Let me get us some takeout.”
He almost said, Let me take you out, somewhere nice. But he hadn’t been able to do that since before he got to Smallville. He’s beginning to wonder if he ever will again.
“Oh,” Lana says. Her eyes avert from his as she wipes down a table. “I already ate.”
Jason draws closer to her and dips his chin in order to catch her gaze. Eventually, she pauses and glances up at him.
“With Clark?” he asks.
Lana tightens up, just as he predicted. “Why would you say that?”
“I saw him when I came in,” Jason replies. He tilts his head at Lana, who never used to be a good liar. But ever since they had to start hiding their relationship, he’s noticed how good she also hides her thoughts and feelings around other people…maybe even to herself.
“Yeah,” she breathes. “He was here. But we were studying for finals, and we got hungry. That’s it.”
Jason shakes his head, but she grabs his hand with both of hers. He looks down at her tan, slender hands, and can’t help but be drawn back to her beautiful face.
“It’s not a big deal,” she says, as if that can dismiss the churning in his gut.
“Listen,” he says, rubbing at his face. “I know I’ve asked you this before, and I’m sorry but…do you still have feelings for him?”
“No,” she refutes, “I’m with you, Jason. How many times do I have to prove that this is what I want?”
She seems so annoyed and vehement that Jason has to believe her. He wants to, so badly.
Maybe too much.
Tumblr media
The last straw comes just two weeks before the end of spring semester—with the coming of senior prom. Jason knows he can’t ask Lana, but she assured him that she wasn’t going.
He has a late class that night, but afterwards, he promised to pick her up and get dinner together in Metropolis. A nice date, a long-ass way out of town, so they’re unlikely to be recognized.
On the Friday evening, just hours before a high school dance, you and Jason sit together in the one class you have together: Introduction to Mass Media.
It only meets once a week, for three hours. Technically it’s an elective for both of you, but you’d told Jason to pick any class outside of his major that he was interested in. Anything to broaden his horizons, and you promised to join him. For some reason, he chose this one.
He thought it would be easy. Just a study of pop. culture stuff, with a mix of social media, maybe a dash of sports, if he was lucky. He’d actually been surprised with how much he was enjoying the segments on videography and broadcast journalism.
Right now, however, he's distracted. You can certainly tell, the way he keeps checking his phone.
“What’s wrong?” you lean over and ask in a whisper. He knows how anal Professor Jones is about cell phones in class. The man had a “contraband bucket” to collect them in, if he caught a student using one.
“Just letting my girlfriend know I’m gonna be a bit late,” Jason grumbles, though he’s looking at the screen. “Jones is droning on past the eternity mark, as usual.”
A man clears his throat above you and Jason. You both look up and meet the flat gaze of Professor Jones. He shakes the bucket in his hand with an arched brow. Already there's about three contraband phones inside.
Jason gives a wan smile. “Come on, Professor. We were supposed to be outta here 20 minutes ago anyway.”
The lines in Professor Jones’s face betrays one simple truth: he doesn’t give a shit.
“Bucket, Mr. Teague,” he says.
Jason’s lips press in irritation, but he’s forced to drop his phone into the waiting bucket. He doesn’t see two mixed text messages from his girlfriend.
You lay a comforting hand on Jason’s arm. “I’m sure she’ll understand.”
Tumblr media
By the time Jason gets to the Talon, the lights are dark and Lana’s not home. Suspicion creeps in, making him feel a little crazy.
He decides to get back into his car and drive down to Smallville High. There the gym is decked out to the nines in some kind of underwater theme. It reminds him of his own senior prom a couple of years ago, complete with the punch bowl and cheesy snacks.
But soon enough, the nostalgia comes to a screeching halt.
A familiar ballad croons from the band on the stage.
"And how can I stand here with you, and not be moved by you? ...Would you tell me how could it be any better than this?"
He sees Lana on the dance floor, wearing one of the most beautiful dresses he’s ever seen. And she’s in the arms of one Clark Kent.
Jason's never hated Lifehouse so much.
Tumblr media
On Saturday morning, before the Talon even opens, Lana opens the door to Jason while still wearing her robe.
“Hey!” she says, with wide eyes, though she lets him in.
“You seem real surprised,” Jason notes.
“Yeah, I mean, it’s early for you on a Saturday,” Lana remarks with a short laugh. But she still leans up to kiss him. She only manages to get his cheek, since he doesn’t bend down to meet her like he usually would.
She frowns. “Is something wrong?”
Jason doesn’t answer at first. The words are stuck in his throat. He gestures for them to move away from the glass doors, where anyone can peek in. So they travel up to her bedroom and close the door.
It’s not the first time he’s been in her room, though not much has ever happened on her bed. He’s waited completely on her signals for that one. Though now, he’s actually kind of grateful that their relationship has never progressed that far. It makes what he’s about to do easier.
“Where were you last night?” he asks. He figures they’d better start there.
“I tried calling you,” he adds, when Lana doesn’t immediately offer a reply.
“Well, I didn’t hear from you. I figured you were busy with your classes, so…I went to prom by myself,” she says.
Jason sighs. “You didn’t seem all that lonely.”
Her eyes widen. “What?”
Her confusion looks so real. A perfect face, and a damn near perfect lie.
“Look, I saw you and Clark on that dance floor,” Jason finally says. “Wasn't that just the perfect Hallmark moment?”
“Jason…” Lana finally starts to break. She doesn’t want to admit what’s broken, her gaze falling to the floor.
“No, let me say this,” he says. “Lana, I really put my all into this. I did whatever I could to be with you. To love you, to protect you. But in your heart, I think somewhere down the line you decided you don’t want that to be me.”
Lana’s eyes flood with tears, but she doesn’t deny it.
“I think it’s time to really call it quits this time,” Jason says, “for both our sakes.”
He can’t help but reach out to her. His thumb brushes her cheek. Lana’s watery gaze meets his as her lower lip wobbles. She grabs his hand.
“I’m so sorry, Jason,” she confesses.
He won’t say it’s okay, but he accepts that with a nod, and he kisses her cheek.
It’s a goodbye that’s meant to last.
Tumblr media
Once he’s back in the relative safety of his car, Jason lets out a deep breath. He grabs his phone from his pocket on some unspoken urge; in that moment, he needs something. Someone.
He needs you.
You answer on the third ring, sounding sleepy on your day off.
“You’d better be on fire,” you say. Jason smiles at the sound of your grumpy voice.
“Hey,” he laughs a little, though he's surprised that it comes so easily. “You doing anything right now?”
“Besides sleeping?” you toss back. “…No. Not really. My life is boring.”
“Boring sounds nice right about now,” Jason says, more seriously than he meant to. “Wanna take a drive or something?”
You hesitate, just for a moment. Then your voice greets him again.
“Let’s go.”
Tumblr media
When Jason arrives at your house, you come out to meet him. He gets out of his car, and already he looks wrong. He looks drained of all energy.
“What’s wrong?” you ask in concern, grabbing his arm when you’re close enough. His eyes find yours.
“We broke up,” he says.
It takes your brain a second or two to compute. (You’ve just finished your first cup of coffee, after all.) But then, you’re moving to wrap your arms around his neck in the tightest, warmest hug you can give.
He holds you back for a while, and you relish in the feeling of his hands smoothing around your back and pulling you in close. His chin tucks on your shoulder, and you rub his back.
“I’m sorry,” you say quietly.
He hums in response. Sometimes, what is just is.
He lets you drive him out to the lake near your house, in your beat up Volvo. This lake is your favorite place in the world, you tell him, as you two sit side-by-side on the dock. Your sneaker-clad feet dangle over the edge, next to his longer legs.
“So far,” he corrects. “There’s a whole lot of world out there.”
You smile. “Yeah, you gonna show me? Got a magic carpet tucked in your dorm somewhere?”
Jason laughs, and you’re grateful to see his smile so soon.
“Yeah, along with a dusty-ass lamp,” he says.
You smile, but you tilt your head at him. “Are you okay?”
Jason’s grin slips a little. “Yeah, I think so…is that bad?”
You bite your lip. “Depends. What was her name? I don’t think you even told me.”
Jason turns to you, and he sighs deeply. It takes him a moment, but he eventually answers while looking you in the eyes.
“Lana Lang,” he says.
The name rings a bell…and as it comes to you, it blares like a foghorn. Your eyes widen and your mouth falls open in shock.
“J-Jason…she’s a student,” you stammer. “Not like, us students. Like—”
“I know. We met before I got the coaching job,” Jason explains quickly, before you can blow up at him.
He can see you’re freaking out, trying to contain your reaction with a hand over your mouth. But the more he explains, the more you withdraw into a simmering silence. He can tell, however, that you don’t know how to feel about it.
“Do you regret it?” you ask.
It’s not the first thing he thought you would say, but it’s very you all the same.
“Well, being outmaneuvered by my own quarterback stings like a bitch, but I still think I’m better looking,” Jason jokes. Because that’s what he does when he’s uncomfortable.
Too bad that was the wrong answer.
You roll your eyes with a disgusted huff, and you pull yourself up onto your feet. You start to leave him there at the dock, but Jason hops up as well and grabs your hand.
“Hey, wait,” he implores. “Look, I’m sorry. And I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. It was just…easier.”
“Why, because you didn’t trust me?” you challenge. “Or because you felt guilty about what you were doing?”
The truth is, Jason doesn’t feel guilty. Not for his relationship.
“I was trying to protect her reputation,” he says. “I know how smalltown people think. She’d be the talk of the damn town. And for what? Because we’re two years apart?”
“And I’m smalltown, is that it? I’m sorry I’m not as evolved as you, Mr. Metropolis,” you snark. “Forgive me for being a lowly country bumpkin with some morals.”
“That’s not what I meant,” Jason says with an angry frown, throwing up his hands in frustration.
You shake your head at him and start booking it towards your car.
Jason follows. “You know you can’t leave me out here, right?”
“Just get in the car, before I change my mind!”
He obliges you, and it’s a painful ride back to your house. He really can’t believe you’re being like this. It’s the first real argument he’s ever had with you. He knew you might get upset, but he did think you’d be a little more understanding…
“Look, we met in Paris last summer,” he admits. And a hint more vulnerable, “I just…couldn’t help but fall for her.”
“I get it, Jason,” you reply. Your voice is flat.
“Just please don’t tell anyone,” he asks. “We’re done. She’s about to graduate.”
As mad as you are at him for lying to you, you begrudgingly see his point. You can also start to understand why he didn’t tell you.
But, regardless of how you feel, you don’t want him to lose his job. You know it’s the only way he can afford college.
“I wouldn’t do that to you,” you say, before you can reign yourself in.
Jason turns to you with a hint of a smile. “Thank you.”
It’s still awkward when you two get to your house. He turns to you, like he wants to say something that’ll most likely soften you.
You’re not ready for that.
So you kill the engine and get out of the car without looking at him. Jason takes the hint; he doesn’t say another word to you when he gets into his car and peels away.
Tumblr media
The next weeks that follow are hard for Jason. As a member of the staff, he’s forced to go to Smallville High’s graduating ceremony.
He watches Clark and Lana graduate together with the rest of their friends. The two of them hug after she gets off stage, looking at one another with a moment of blushing smiles. It’s an inevitable look.
It makes Jason feel sick. He leaves as soon as he can, going back to languish in his dorm room. He lays on his bed over the covers with his hands folded over his stomach and his eyes closed.
He thinks about you.
He can see you in his mind’s eye, with a pen balanced between your teeth and your hair falling over to brush the pages you pour over.
He sees your fuzzy green sweater. Your smile. The shade of your hair, your eyes, your laugh, your furrowed look when you’re concentrating hard on revising a sentence.
The more he sees, the more he wants to call you. To hear your voice, even if you're just going to yell at him.
Jason sighs. He sits up in bed and has a thought that soon takes hold of his body, and has him swinging his legs over the edge of his bed and pulling his backpack closer.
He pulls out a folder for one of his classes and finds an essay you revised. His eyes scan over the encouragements you’ve left in the margins, along with the stray doodles. They still make him smile.
And it reminds him of the first note you ever gave him, which he keeps tucked in a small drawer in his desk. He tosses the folder onto his bed and goes to that drawer, where he finds your hastily written haiku.
Assistant Hottie
You flatter me, see through me
Smarter than he thinks.
You don’t know that those words have kept his head above water in times where he’s wanted to quit school.
Or even worse, in those times when he’s wanted to go to his father, tail between his legs, to ask for money and a job doing anything easy.
So now, Jason realizes that he needs to make another decision.
He gets out of bed, and he goes to see you.
Tumblr media
Jason travels down to the basement of the CKM library, to the Writing Center, where you’re sitting at your desk as always on a Thursday night. You have a pile of essays stacked high next to you, and your forehead is wrinkled while you read a problematic passage.
The smell of coffee makes you look up first, before you realize who brought it. Your eyes widen at seeing Jason, along with his small smile and peace offering.
“Hey,” he says.
His voice washes over you, his eyes that always manage to disarm you, even now.
Despite your better judgment, you take the coffee from him and revel at its warmth. It has to be 60 degrees in this damn room (you’re one step shy of bringing your winter gloves next time).
You sip at the coffee and hum in delight at the taste of caramel and cinnamon—a combination that only your family, and Jason, would know you loved.
Your gaze flits up to his, more begrudging as you sigh.
“What can I do for you, Mr. Teague?” you ask.
Jason grins and takes your coworker’s empty chair to sit across from you.
“I’ve got a little haiku for you,” he says, handing you a folded piece of paper. You eye him in confusion, but you set down the coffee on your desk and take his second offering. You unfold it and read something that genuinely takes you by surprise.
Hey, Miss Professor
I’ve got a question for you…
Want to get dinner?
You can’t help but laugh. It’s most definitely not a haiku, but you also know that it’s his best shot. His smile is sheepish, making yours deepen.
“So, what’s your answer?” he asks.
You glance down at the page, then back at him. You bite your lip, and your heart clenches. Is this it? you wonder. Is he asking you out, for real? You can’t quite tell what he’s thinking.
“What kind of dinner?” you ask.
Jason’s grin fades. “What do you mean?”
“Is this our normal kind, where we roll out like we’re Thelma and Louise?” you ask, making him snort. “Or is this the kind where I need to change out of my dirty sneakers and brush my hair?”
He shrugs; his amused grin is back. “I mean, however I get you is all right by me.”
You nearly utter another sigh, but Jason surprises you yet again—by grabbing your hand.
“But, uh…I’d like this to be the kind of dinner where we try something new,” he says, licking his dry lips. He looks a bit uncertain, you think, hiding the fear of rejection. “Maybe you’ll let me do my Cary Grant impression and get you some flowers. Box of chocolates.”
The corner of your mouth twitches. “Chocolates?”
“Whatever it takes,” he says. His tone is joking, but he seems serious. You know him well enough by now to spot the difference.
“Whatever it takes, huh?” you ask.
Jason’s hand tightens on yours, but his eyes never leave you. He really is serious, and it makes your heart stutter and trill with warmth. It feels a lot like hope.
He leans in, his head bowing towards yours…but you lay a hand against his chest.
It stops him, until your fingers curl into his shirt.
Your gaze slowly meets his.
When he reaches for your cheek, this time you let him pull you in.
His kiss is sudden, but it’s still a gentle test. You take in a deep breath through your nose as your eyes fall closed. You press your lips against his, answering him. His fingers slide into your hair and drag down the back of your neck. It makes you shudder and tug him even closer by his shirt.
Jason’s solution is gathering you into his lap, where you take his face with both hands and kiss him with unfettered passion. The locked doors of your heart are swinging open, and it’s a sweet relief to be honest with each swipe of your tongue against his.
He’s gripping your hip, his fingers pressing into your thigh, while the other hand supports your lower back and presses you flush against him. As the kiss slows, so does your hand in his hair, more soothing now than gripping.
When your lips eventually draw apart from his, it’s with panting breaths. You stare into his eyes, as yours brim with relieved tears. You touch his cheek.
“I better not be a rebound,” you warn him. “I can’t take that, Jase.”
Jason shakes his head, holding you a fraction tighter. “No, believe me. That's the last thing you are."
You bite your lip, and he encourages you to release it with his thumb brushing across your lower lip. You've been on his mind longer than he can readily admit. Since the first day he met you.
"I know I haven't made it easy, but will you trust me on this?” he asks. "I really wanna do this right with you."
It takes you a moment to decide, but you do. You trust him.
So you nod and brush your fingers along the apple of his cheek.
“Okay,” you concede. "Let's do this."
Jason grins. “Oh, thank God.”
You giggle softly and hide your face in his neck. His chest shakes with a chuckle as he holds you back. It feels very right to hold you, he thinks.
Just as it's a relief for you to finally be in his arms.
“Where d’you wanna go for dinner?” he asks.
You laugh, a bit giddy as you cling to him and thread your fingers in his golden hair.
“I don’t give a damn.”

AN: Haha, I hope you liked this! ❤️ These one-shots are kind of AU, in that I don't get into the Stones of Power arc of S4 just for simplicity's sake.
I do have one more one-shot idea rolling around in my head for these two...the reader meeting Jason's infamous mother lol (Genevieve Teague, played by the fabulous Jane Seymour)!

From nothing to something.
(Sanji x reader, part 4)
Part 1 , part 2 , part 3
Tumblr media
Summary: After ‘defeating’ Zoro in a fight, Luffy’s crew made it into the Grand Line. Everyone was happy, you had a great night but the storm kept you awake. Lucky for you, you weren’t the only one who was awake.
Word count: 2.2K words
Content warnings: Use of curse words, fluff, slight teasing.
Authors Note: I’m so sorry that I didn’t post anything in the last two weeks. I was really busy with helping my best friend move houses. I’m back now and I’ll try to get 1 or 2 post per week, depending on how big of a chapter I’ll write. Hope you all enjoy!
P.S.: Sorry if there are sentences that are grammatically incorrect, English isn’t my first language, so my apologies in advance.
~~—~~—~~—~~
It’s been a few days since you started your training with Sanji. Each day you improved a lot. When you didn’t train with Sanji, you took it upon yourself to get stronger.
“Slow down Tiger.” Nami said, causing you to jump. You quickly turned around and smiled sheepishly. “Nami, you scared the shit out of me. What’s up?” You looked at her, dropped your weights and grabbed a towel, wiping away all the sweat. “I just came to see how you were doing. You’ve been training all day!-“ Nami started. She looked around and saw Zoro sleeping on the other side of the deck. “Even Zoro doesn’t train all day.” She looked back to you. “Maybe you should take some rest.” You smiled but politely declined. “I’m all right. I need to be ready if something happens Nami. Everyone can defend themselves but I can’t, yet.” You grabbed your weights and started where you left off.
Nami went to the upper deck and looked in your direction, seeing the determination on your face. Sanji had seen Nami looking at you and decided to join her. He greeted Nami quickly and smiled while looking at you.
While this happened on the upper deck, you dropped your weights and one of them rolled into the direction of Zoro, who was still sound asleep. The weight hit his ankle which caused him to grunt. He stood up, grabbed one of his swords and stomped into your direction, only stopping just in time. “Watch it y/l/n.” He said angrily while holding the sword up to your neck. You knew Zoro wouldn’t hurt you, But you also knew not to fuck with him while he was asleep (even if it was on accident).
You sneakily grabbed one of his other swords and grinned cockily. “I’m not scared of you Zoro, you are all big talk and nothing more.” You said smiling, taking a few steps back. Zoro laughed loudly. “Sure, Let’s see how good you are.” He said wiping a tear away from laughing.
You had ben training with bamboo swords, just to see how it was, so you knew a little. You also watched Zoro when he was training, writing down tactics.
He charged at you and you quickly blocked him. You only knew how to kick and punch so you just tried to block every attack. After maybe 10 minutes, you were panting, Zoro was really strong and you didn’t want to admit your defeat. Zoro saw this and laughed, causing you to get a chance to maybe disarm him.
Because you charged at him, you made him hesitate which move he was going to pull, to not hurt you, You wuickly got behind him with the sword on his throat, barely touching him. He put away his sword and looked down. He cleared his throat before grabbing the sword from your hand and turned around, avoiding your gaze.
“I let you win.-“ He mumbled, looking at you. “Didn’t want to hurt you.” He quickly added while putting away his last sword, now trying to exit the deck. “Zoro!” You yelled before he could completely disappear from your sight. He turned around and looked at you. “I take back what I said, you had me until the last second. I have enough to learn from you.” You said softly towards him. He nodded and walked away.
Nami and Sanji both laughed and you turned around. “I think i’ll take the rest of the day off, just like you said Nami.” You said, gathering your stuff. Nami laughed and nodded. “That’s a good idea y/n.”
~~—~~—~~—~~
“Everyone get ready!” Nami yelled. “This is it! The way into the grand line.”
Everyone jumped around each other, trying to get to their spots. Luffy was on the sheep head, looking at each of his crew members. “Usopp, Zoro! take care of the masts!, Nami please make sure we don’t hit those pillars, Sanji prepare some food!” Luffy commanded everyone. You stood next to Nami, making sure if she needed you, you were there.
You got closer and closer and before you knew it, the ship was going upwards. You all cheered and smiled. Soon enough you were on the other side of the mountain, now in the grand line. The waters were really smooth here, and Nami looked back at her compass, trying to figure out the next steps.
You excused yourself and went to your shared room. You had this special compass, that someone gave to you back when you were still working in Loguetown. You decided that you were going to gift this to Nami, not only because she was the navigator but also because she became your best friend in a short time period. You got back to Nami and saw that she was looking confused at why her compass wasn’t working.
You looked at Nami and smiled. “Nami?” You started. She sighed. “The compass doen’t work y/n! I’m supposed to be the navigator but I can’t even tell which way’s which!” You chucked and she looked at you slightly angry. Before she could say anything you looked at the ground. “Nami I have a present for you, close your eyes and put your hands out.” Nami looked at you, now annoyed. “This isn’t the time for presents.” She said, still doing what you said. You gave her the compass and smiled widely. “Ta-da!”
Nami opened her eyes as she smiled slightly. “What is this?” She asked while she examined the little compass. “This is what you need in the Grand line. Someone gave it to me as a present but I know you will appreciate it more. It’s now located to the closest Island. It’s supposed to be one maybe one and a half days away!” You said jumping excitedly.
Nami looked back at you as her eyes started to swell with tears. She gave you a really big hug and thanked you multiple times. You smiled and looked at everyone. For the first time in a long long time, you felt important.
~~—~~—~~—~~
After finishing what Sanji called ‘The celebration feast’, you all decided to have a few drinks together, to celebrate entering the Grand Line. You told a few stories that other people told you while you still worked at the restaurant. Luffy asked a few stupid questions, which made you laugh.
Everyone was enjoying the time together. You decided to play a few card games, Usopp teaching everyone a new game. Everyone was so infested with the game that everyone lost track of time. Before you knew it, it was almost 1AM. You yawned and excused yourself. “I’m going to bed guys, i’m really tired. See ya’ll tomorrow.” You said yawning once again and waving everyone goodbye.
You opened the door to your room and grabbed your pyjama. After you changed, you quickly brushed your teeth, combed your hair and got into bed.
You kept turning in your bed and after not being able to sleep you sat up and looked at the clock. “2;54AM.” You mumbled before grabbing your robe and making your way to the kitchen for some water and maybe a snack.
As you walked through the hallways, you could see that the kitchen light was still on. You once again sighed. “I should’ve known he would still be awake.” You said to yourself before knocking on the door to make yourself known. You leaned against the doorframe, not wanting to invade his space.
Sanji looked up and smiled. “Didn’t expect to see you at this time mademoiselle, couldn’t sleep?” You smiled softly back at him. “Well I tried to sleep, but the waves hitting the windows kept me awake. I’m still not really used to the heavy waves and storms that sometimes happen.”
He smiled and nodded understandably. He put everything away and started to gather everything to make some hot chocolate. He grabbed a pan and put it on the fire. He poured in the milk and started to heat it up. “I’m going to make some hot chocolate, want some Amore?” He asked you softly.
You smiled widely. “Hot chocolate, how could I say no to that!” He chuckled, while he chopped up the chocolate and quickly whisked some heavy cream with sugar to make the whipping cream. He grabbed a few vanilla pods and put some fresh vanilla seeds in there as well.
Once the hot chocolate was done he gently poured it into two cups and topped it off with with the cream. He smiled at his creation and grabbed a piece of chocolate before grating it on top, to make it look extra pretty. “Here you go love, be careful, it’s still hot.” He smiled while he placed it in front of you. You grabbed the mug eagerly and touched his hand on accident.
You blushed heavily while pulling your hand away quickly. He laughed softly and grabbed his mug. He sat down next to you and looked at you.
The heavy waves turned into a terrible storm which sent chills throughout your spine. You absolutely hated storms and now on the ship it only seemed worse. Sanji noticed that you were slightly on edge and smiled barely. He grabbed your hand and placed it on his lap, intertwining his finger in yours.
At this point you were blushing heavily. “I don’t like stormy weather. The boat moves to much and it keeps me awake sometimes. The rain is calming though, when you lay comfortably in a hammock, or a bed-“ He said looking at you, trying to distract you. “-You just close your eyes and focus on the raindrops hitting the window and the wooden walls.”
You silently took a sip from your mug with your one free hand and nodded. “Storms aren’t my favorite.” You chuckled slightly. “You know-“ You started, placing down your mug. You completely turned towards him and smiled softly. “-When I was little, I used to be shit scared of storms, not able to sleep at all. I normally would wake my mum up and beg her to make me some hot chocolate. After that she would drag me back to bed and join me. She used to keep me safe from the storms. Maybe that’s the reason I never got over them. I didn’t want to lose that feeling.”
He smiled sadly. He looked away while he mumbled something. You couldn’t hear what he was saying, which made you curious. “Speak up, pretty boy.” You teased before taking a few sips from your hot chocolate. He turned around with a light shade of pink on his cheeks. “What I said was, you could always look for me in those scenario’s. Most of the time I’ll be awake anyways.”
You were taken aback my this. You kinda thought he didn’t like you. “And thank you sweetheart for the compliment, although you are the pretty one here.” He looked down at his mug and took a sip.
The tention between you two was really tight and you both definitely noticed this. You sat in silence for what felt like forever. Sanji never let go of your hand though. Eventually you started a conversation and before you knew it, the storm was over. It was still really early in the night and you let out a yawn. Sanji laughed and looked at you. “Mademoiselle, I really like the company, but you need your sleep. Are you okay now?” He slowly asked you while letting go of your hand.
You nodded and stood up. Sanji followed you and opened up the door. “I’ll walk you to your room, that’s the least I could do.” You smiled and started walking. The walk was silent but not awkward.
Once you stood in front of your door you turned around. This startled Sanji who was standing right behind you. You stood on your toes gave him a soft kiss on his cheek. “Thank you Sanji.” You smiled as you turned back around. He touched his cheek where you kissed him and he blushed heavily. You were about time to close the door before he whispered. “The offer still stands, remember that. Sweet dreams love.”
He quickly walked away, to the upper deck. He lit up a cigarette and smiled widely. He knew he wasn’t going to sleep after this. You had him all worked up and he let out a sigh.
~~—~~—~~—~~
You got back in bed and smiled to yourself. You closed your eyes and let out a big sigh. You thought about everything that just had happened and got comfortable in your bed.
As you drifted to sleep, you smiled again, finally able to have a good night rest, all thanks to the sweet and loving cook.

Let's Hurt Tonight . L.N #4
"Lando Norris X female!reader"
love with him was like finding a missing peice you've never thought you lacked to begin with, but nowadays this love is falling apart , and it brought up a fateful question "is your love worth the fight?"
Warning : angst , drifting apart , insecurities , grammar . I'm bad with summaries , English is not my first language .
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Taking a deep breath , exhaling and repeat . the action took several times to finally take effect , all in attempt to steel his nerves before braving himself to push the door instead of staring at it as if it'll open on it's own .
Another exhausting week , and unfortunately another disappointment added to the piled up pressure . Doning his best is not cutting it anymore, so what else to be done beside doing better? but how much more can he take before reaching his limits? is it all worth it's while? Is he doing everything he can or is he slacking? If he did improve someone else is bound to do better right ? exceeding him in no time , so what's the point ? Why is he still trying? .
Each thought sparks a new fear , and every possibility added a new block in the rapidly growing wall of insecurities . But for now at least all of that should be casted aside when at home . Home , their home .
Despite the long days, each draining hour far away from home . A home that their love built , for they were each other's home . Tucked away in a safe heaven , far from all the chaos outside . But lately it turns into anything but that . Gone were the days where they found themselves tucked in spending time chatting and losing time in eachother , their nights spent in hushed whispers about anything and everything , instead dragged on with building frustration . Both hanging by a loose thread , binding themselves to not let go yet . To wait , just a little more time . And so they waited , until it turns to almost a chore to be done and over with to repeat all over again and again .
It took three months , three long tedious months for them to finally see the cracks in their home , how the walls that once shield turned into a stifling barrier ,a confinement serving as a constant reminder of what their love turned into .
But that's the point coming back . To face the truth , to brave their aching hearts to feel something . To stir anything , anything at all , it's either that or the silence would lead to the end .
Glancing around the darkened living room brought his mind back to the moment , realising that The House is dead silent , the T.V light Flickered with some documentary, something about migrating birds from what he gathered from the fleeting scenes on the screen . And as he moved further , the outline of the huddled figure in the corner of the couch became more distinct .
Even with her eyes are trained on the screen, they were glossing in the flickering light , her fidgeting fingers let him know that her mind is elsewhere , unaware of his presence beside her . He noted how tired she looked , the dark circles underneath her eyes he saw from days ago were getting worse , hunched shoulders and curled up knees .
He sighed, knowing how stubborn she is , and although he told her not to wait up for him , to at least give it till morning , insisting that it's late and they've already had a long day , and how her week was equally as draining as his . But part of him wanted to see her , to seek her presence to subdue his raging thoughts .
Knowing how deep she can get lost in her own mind he crouched down , right in front of her . And reached out to trace her fidgeting fingers to ground her back to reality . The familiar gesture snapped her back as she plinked slowly, turning her head to finally meet his yearning gaze . Giving her a gentle smile trying to offer at least a bit of comfort that they both needed " hi" . that got her to loosen up her hunched shoulders and halt her fingers and turn them subconsciously to hold onto his as a greeting . Turning fully to sit upwards leaving space for him to sit beside her , all while contemplating whether or not to ask she finally mumbled out for him "can I hug you?" .
Without hesitation he released their hands to hold her close , while her hands grabbed onto him . Both holding on tight as to comfort eachother. But that'll won't last as much as they both wanted it to . They pulled away both reaching out their hands again to ground themselves , but he avoided meeting her gaze . She gave his hand a reassuring squeeze " lando , we can't run away from this forever , we have to do something " , he squeezed back holding onto her with both hands "then tell me what to do , tell me something that I can do to make it work " , "but I don't know! , I feel like I'm losing you , like I'm losing myself , and I don't know what to do anymore , we keep on pushing ourselves, we keep busy to avoid facing what we're losing and without realising we lost ourselves , we are only hurting ourselves if we .... " .he shook his head refusing to believe " then let it hurt ! , let it rip my heart out if it means that you still love me , You're not losing me , I'm still here " , " you're here , right beside me, but for how long ? How long before you need to be up and leave again ? " , " No , I'm not going anywhere, I'm not leaving until I know that we're both feel more , we are not falling apart unless we let ourselves drift , not unless we let go " .
The silence that follows brought forth a dreadful possiblity , they both kept avoiding it in hope they won't reach this point . But here they are , and it loomed over their heads , " do you want to let go ?! " Avoiding his intense gaze , " what if it's the best we can do is to let it be ? " ."but best for who ?! Tell me how so !? Come on ! Look me in the eyes and tell me ! Tell me that it's what you want , tell me that you're over with us !" . His burst left her disarmed "but I can't , you know that I can't! " .
Leaning over while reaching out a hand to cradle her face , guiding her to meet his gaze making sure that she's fully focused on him " then I'll be damned if I let you go without a fight ".

Storm
Thomas
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There was only so much a child could do around the safe haven before their worst enemy, boredom, caught up with them. This was what y/n was going through. Laying by the open door of her and Thomas's place with her head hanging off the step, she watched everything past her. She was about to go nap when she spotted Newt in the distance. Y/n jumped up and closed the door before she ran after him.
"Newt! Newt! Wait for me!" She called to him as she tried to catch up with him. Newt stopped when he heard her and turned.
"Y/n!" He called her with his arms open wide for her to jump into. She jumped into them with a big smile and put her arms around his neck. "What can I do for you?" He continued as he smiled at her.
"I'm bored," She told him, her head leaned back. "Can you entertain me?" Newt was questioned as she looked back at him.
"Tell you what, if you can find something to do, I will find Thomas and Minho," Newt started,
"But why can't you do it now?" Y/n interrupted him.
"If you let me finish," Newt said as he tickled her before he continued. "I will see if they have finished what they need to, and then we will find you."
Y/n sat in his arms as she thought about it before she nodded and asked to be put down as she knew what she wanted to do while she waited. Newt smiled as he watched her go, and then he turned to find Thomas and Minho. He spoke to them and Frypan. They all decided to put up a small bonfire away from the big one. As they talked and made plans, y/n was in the flower fields. Gally, who was doing some rounds, made his way over to her after he saw her.
"What you doing pipsqueak?" He questioned her as he kneeled to her height. She huffed as she looked at him because of the nickname before she smiled at him.
"Look what I found!" Y/n excitedly held the flowers up and nearly knocked Gally over. He moved back, so as not to ruin the flowers and smiled back.
"Who are they for?"
"Thomas!" She said as if it were the most obvious fact.
Gally made a face of understanding before he decided to stay with her. He had completed his tasks for the day anyway. He was shown nearly every flower y/n picked and even got given one. They enjoyed their time together, they did not notice Thomas as he made his way to them. Gally and y/n turned when they heard a laugh and y/n ran to him as she called his name.
Thomas stopped Gally as he walked past and whispered to him. Y/n tilted her head at them when they looked at her. Gally nodded and ruffled y/n hair before he made his way back to camp. They watched for a few moments before y/n tugged Thomas's top and held up the flowers she picked for him. Thomas took them after he picked her up and started questioning about her day.
They arrived back at camp and Thomas walked over to the small bonfire. Newt, Minho, Frypan and Gally sat around it as they chatted and laughed. He joined them and placed y/n down as he sat. She shot straight over to Newt and passed him a flower before doing the same to Minho and Frypan.
"There once was a place that we all met," Newt began the story grabbing y/n's attention immediately from her conversation with Minho, who was joking about the flower being fuel for the fire. "It wasn't pleasant to begin with, we lost a lot of friends." Newt and the others gave a sad smile to this. "We found a way to live and things looked up and we found a way to get along and improve things we needed." As Newt told the story Minho, Frypan and Gally joined in when they thought it appropriate, y/n was hooked on every word.
"When did Thomas join you?" Y/n asked when they had stopped to have a drink. They laughed at this.
"Your brother released a storm with his arrival," Newt told her after he stopped laughing. He got a confused head tilt in return.
"A storm we needed to be released," Minho added.
"A storm I didn't want but I'm now glad came," Gally said as he smiled at Thomas.
"I guess that's why you connected to him," Frypan said and everyone looked at him. "You a hurricane. You belong together."
Everyone laughed apart from y/n who looked at Thomas. She watched him before she jumped on him knocking him off his seat. Thomas grunted before he looked at her.
"What's this about?" He questioned.
"Hurricane and storm," Y/n said smiling big at him. "I love it."
The end.

It got easier, the more he did it.
Whether it was his strength improving, or muscle memory, he wasn’t sure. But still here he is now, a year into this endeavour. The first time was an accident, he’d told himself, but deep down he knew it wasn’t. Deep down he’d craved for years to get revenge on the man who had ruined him- who had left him with no chance because he wasn’t the one he wanted. He shouldn’t have survived, so he was going to make his life hell in return.
The grave he’d stood at was small, kept in a garden with other tiny plaques and memorial pebbles- anything that could fit a name and one date on it. 28 years. An older brother that he never met, and yet for all 25 of those 28 years he’d lived through, he’d been reminded that brother was everything he’d never be-
“Richards.” A voice ripped him from his thoughts, a bored and uninterested tone accompanying the tired look on his coworker’s face. He stares blankly, clearly there was a question he hadn’t heard, and was about to hear again. “I asked how your weekend was.”
A shrug is the only answer she gets. Not that that was anything new, he wasn’t the talkative type, which was precisely why he worked on a tech team. Less people, less interaction, less annoyance. In the time it had taken him to raise and drop his shoulders, the woman across from him had started up her daily rant about her husband and how he refused to pull his weight around the house, how she hated him but not enough to leave him because of the kids. Richards scoffed slightly, earning a pause from the unhappy wife. Fathers were a constant thought in his mind, something he both despised and craved, like picking open the same wound over and over again till it scars so deep you’re changed forever. Not some pigmented reminder of the past, but a deep, ragged fissure that goes almost to bone. Something that can’t be hidden. That’s what his father had done to him, and he wasn’t even there.
So was it better to lose a father who was useless when he was there? Or never have one and live knowing you aren’t wanted? Does it hurt less to look him in the eye when he chooses to take no responsibility?
Well, he thought it was better to save those kids the trouble. It was better to watch the panic in their eyes, watch the pain and tears and hear their pleading, suddenly so ready to be a father now it was life or death. They’d thank him one day, he was sure of it, and one day he’d get to see that panic in the eyes of the man who made him this in the first place- who had written so many times of sons scorned by fathers that turned to pain and death to cope, not once thinking of the baby boy he’d abandoned before he even got the chance to live happily. This was his fault. Those men could’ve lived, those kids would have had a chance too, but he was selfish. How unfortunate, truly.
The rest of the work day drags disgustingly slowly until finally he’s in his car, scanning the lot to watch his coworker get into her shitty beat up minivan. The licence plate was scribbled on a note in his pocket, having taken it down this morning, all he’d have to do is send it to one of his…friends…and they’d get him her address with the right payment. Soon enough that worthless piece of shit she’d married would be gone. If she knew his plans, she’d thank him. That’s what he told himself. Every single time.

Hey can you write something with Theon were they’re made to marry because like they were caught together (sorry if this doesn’t make sense English isn’t my first language)
Girl from Essos | Theon Greyjoy
Pairing: Theon Greyjoy x Female!Reader
Summary: Theon was forced to marry a girl he was caught with, only it happens to be a girl whose family is a mystery coming from Essos.
Warnings: swearing, mentions of smut, arranged marriage, bit of fluff
Tumblr media
The young wolf, his childhood friend sent him home to do one thing. And before he made any decisions he managed to fuck things up.
With Theon's return came the ship from the far west that has been sailing around the Iron Islands for moons now.
On the ship ran a girl who caught his eye. She was just what he needed to ease his nerves before facing with his father.
The ironborn man was flattering the girl's appearance, targeting her shyness with slow manners. It didn't take long for her to giggle at every move he made closer. As he expected, he was quite soon allowed to linger his fingers all over her.
He took her right there on the beach, behind some rocks, thinking that would secure them from the others and let him do everything fast and finished. However, he perhaps got lost in her and didn't even consider the time he spend enjoying in her body. For Theon to notice it was long would probably take the darkness of the night. Instead, it took him the darkness of the shadow to figure out his plan to be a failure.
The shadow of the girl's mother.
" How dare you sin? " She pulled her off Theon, thinking what overcame her daughter to do such a thing.
" Who are you, boy? You some beggar? " She questioned him, looking him up and down with disgust while making her daughter get dressed.
" My father is Balon Greyjoy, I am his son Theon. " She wasn't thinking he spoke the truth, he didn't look like a son of a Lord, more like his servant or it may have been the sand he was covered in.
" We will see who your father is. "
As Theon said, his father was Balon Greyjoy who would pick any day to deal with this except today and on the first day of arrival.
" So you had that girl on the sand? " Balon was trying his best to be calm, he knew his son wasn't too smart, but to be this stupid and mess up before even given a task is a showing his lack of improvement through the years they last interacted.
" I did. " He hesitated but admitted. What was there to lie about when he knew?
" And I had to hear from her mother and father of your behaviour. Why did you have to choose her? " It was confusing him, why was it such a big deal? Who was she to be so cherished that even Balon Greyjoy was mad of her ruin?
Lord of Pyke saw his son's cluelessness, starting to speak again. " You don't know who she is, do you? " He shook his head at his father's seriousness.
" Her fucking father is some rich man from Essos. No one knows how did they become so wealthy but they did. And you ruined their daughter. " His own words made him choke.
" How can I apologise? " Theon didn't want to start his return home by ruining the mission, so he hoped to do something about his mistake.
" You think you can apologize? " Lord Greyjoy laughed at the thought. " Those Starks made you weak. " He spat the name of the family which took care of his son.
" You will marry her. That's how you will be forgiven. " Demanding voice answered him.
" Marry her? " He asked as if he didn't hear. " I just return. "
" And I already regret it. Don't argue with me, you messed up and now it's time you fix it. " Balon stared further away from his son, glancing at everything except at him.
" You shall marry her tomorrow, the quicker I get her father off my back, the better. " And thus Theon was dismissed with nothing but a quiet insult added to the memories of his family.
He walked out on the beach, the land of his sin and hopped to the place he made his newest mistake. Only a couple of seconds passed before he fell to his knees, and then dropped his head in sand. He smeared his face with the ground, almost as if burying himself so no one can see him.
He wanted to come back to his home and finally show his father he is a worthy son. However, no matter how much he wished to be good, the hard mind of an ironborn seemed to only lead him in bad paths.
Now he was going to marry the girl he didn’t even think much of. She was supposed to be like every else, just another lick of the spoon. But their little fun turned into a serious matter.
He took himself back into his home, regretting his lustful ways of dealing with stress and nerve wracks. At this point, he imagined going back to Robb and finishing the war he lead. His mission for which he was here had no more importance it had at the beginning, he just wanted to go back again, where no expectations were raised for him to reach.
On the day of his wedding, Theon was more out of his head, he barely reacted to anything happening around him, depressed over the chaos he caused.
His bride wasn't of a better face. It was obvious she went through a lot of screaming and crying before stepping into the marriage herself. Both of them looked at the guests with unbothered eyes, barely acknowledging the words people were telling them.
They only waited for the whole situation to calm down, so it could be forgotten and simply moved on from. Thankfully, the torture of remembering their inappropriate act lasted only when surrounded by others.
Left alone by the crowd, both exchanged sympathetic looks. Theon just then thought of how this also must have affected her even more than him. Sheepishly approaching his wife, Theon put his hands on her shoulders, noticing the redness under her eyes and the pain on her cheeks.
" I am terribly sorry for ruining you. It was my mistake for using you for my needs. " The man spoke with honesty and sincere regret.
" You didn't use me. It is my mistake as well. You did not force this upon me. " She spoke, having a hushed voice that at any moment threatened to whisper.
" I have used you, in fear of facing my father, I needed something to relax me. And there you were, pretty and… I just… " He couldn't word out the explanation. He didn't deal with much explaining throughout his life, now struggling when needing to do so.
" Seeing your father, honestly, I understand the nervousness. You ran for the escape from the fear and took the first that seemed effective. "
" That really is how I created this situation. " He half-smiled, remembering it. " What about you, what made you agree to it? "
The girl's pasture calmed, adjusting to her husband's touch. " Well, no deep reasoning there. I was just very bored with the travelling we have done. Jumping from one place to the other. I just wanted to stop somewhere and enjoy myself for a moment. "
Theon nodded peacefully. " It does seem those travels were a burden to you. As has my meeting with my father been to me. " She agreed in silence. They let themselves stare at each other without speaking, embracing no sounds while doing so.
The ironborn first broke the silence. " I believe we have been through enough in the latest time, thus we should for the best let our minds rest in sleep. " The girl followed her husband under the covers. She took his shoulder as her pillow at his request, falling into sleep as quickly as she would in the sand. While observing his wife, Theon noticed he liked to see her this calm and relaxed. It made him think that this mistake of his, isn't as bad as he believed it to be. He might even become fond of it. The positive outlook on the future made the heir to the Pyke fall asleep in the sweetest way possible. Imagining the good things that will come out of this marriage.

Miraculous Season 5: Luka & Kagami's Wasted Potential
Tumblr media
If this show wasn't already bad enough.........
Like everything else, it disappoints me that the writers of this show are lazy when it comes to additional character development essentially in the love rivals
but who am I kidding? I knew what to expect when Thomas quite literally said Gabriel was redeemable after torturing all of Paris for years simply because he wants his wife back actively neglecting & abusing his son in the process while in the same breath saying Chloe is beyond redemption and she's a teenage girl who's dad couldn't give a rat's ass about her and spoils her crazy to get her off his back 24/7 and her mom who wants nothing to do with her verbally & mentally abuses her with the only real people who like her to the slightest and tolerate her are Sabrina and Armand who's practically her butler. The double comparison and double standard is wild but nonetheless not surprising seeing how the show's narrative is already bias when it comes down to Adrien & Marinette's character treatment. (the misogyny and racism is loud as hell)
Season 4 of Miraculous was already beginning to go downhill and season 5 simply added icing on the cake. To be honest I was partly excited to see the relationship dynamic within the love rival relationships, Lukanette & Adrigami at the start of season 4 because it was different from the repetitive love square and we got to see our two main leads interact with other characters in a romantic light other than themselves only to end before they could really start. It was a slap in the face and a huge cut from some possible major character development and love square progress. But the writers are so afraid of change and cant manage to make a good progressive storyline and felt that Luka & Kagami were too much of a threat to their Love Square that could've heavily improved because of them in the first place. Some episodes could've been focused on friendships between the love rivals and Marinette & Adrien. But ofc we get the same monotonous plotline mid season 3 to the beginning of season 4 Adrien & Kagami spend more time together, Marinette is conflicted and overwhelmed with feelings, Luka is there for emotional support (which felt like his sole purpose in earlier episodes even until now) Kagami is constantly frustrated by Adrien's indecisiveness, passiveness, and hesitance, etc, etc whatever and it continues all until they break up.
Then out of the wood works, we get Adrien realizing he has feelings for Marinette despite her being quote on quote "just a friend" 3-4 seasons straight. Despite. Marinette putting a hold on relationships ever since Lukanette's breakup and the fact that Monarch is still on the prowl and her responsibilities as a hero, because lets be honest if Ladybug/Marinette doesn't tend to Paris & Monarch no one else will, (Chat Noir definitely won't) the writers still say "hey lets tend to and coddle Adrien's feelings bc now he likes her more than "just a friend" and it doesn't matter how Marinette feels, doesn't matter if she's not ready for a relationship even though she's made that clear on multiple occasions after her and Luka's breakup bc at the end of day what we learn is what we already know "Adrien's feelings are more important than Marinette's overall treatment as the female protagonist and discomfort."
And what do you ask happens to the love rivals? Of course! the writers have to find a way to string them away from the complicated love square
Instead we get Luka shipped off with his dad on a world tour and Kagami paired with Felix (which........also doesn't feel right and for what reason did this have to happen?) Felix is the same guy who quite literally SH Ladybug, but ok? the writers feel like it makes sense to pair Kagami with this guy? She seems to like him for the same reasons her and Adrien's relationship took so long to work out in the first place. I don't even know what she saw in him, he's so bland, so passive, and everyone characterizes him as a "perfect cinnamon catboy who's abused and needs emotional support leaning on our main female lead who's not responsible for his baggage at all but hey! Everything is Marinette's responsibility after all right? They decide to give Felix more purpose in the show as Felix's a more assertive, serious, proactive version of Adrien and that's exactly what Kagami's looking for but I honestly think that it's a cop out for the possible unresolved feelings she had/has for Adrien (though he doesn't deserve her anyway) . It's like the show's message when it comes to romance and love is the only way to be genuinely happy is in a relationship which is so beyond fucked up, and its a overall bad message to kids and teens, no one in the show learns to love themselves and learn themselves first, Kagami would be simply fine without any relationship I can say the same for many other characters especially Marinette & Adrien. Why are romantic relationships needed to began with?
Season 5 is a prime example of the garbage dump Miraculous has become over the years and the poor writing decisions the writers have made.

Improv Baby
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Baby I know it’s super last minute but if you don’t mind and if you want, do you think you’d wanna be in one of the skits?”
Jack managed to say before running back over and changing into another costumes. He was out of breath from running around and all of the different costume changes but he loved it.
Jack was Hosting and Performing for SNL everything was hectic but a good kind of hectic the smile he had on his face never fell or left since the show started.
“You want me to be in a skit? Why.”
“Well I know how much you love watching the show baby and I asked Kenan and he said you can join one of my skits I’m in.”
“What will I wear? And I don’t even know the lines, I don’t even have lines actually.” Jack smirked and pulled out the perfect costume for you, your eyes widened before glaring at him playfully. He smirked and nodded his head slowly.
“Oh no I’m not wearing that no fucking way.”
“Come on baby I think this will be the perfect costume and it’s called improv baby just make anything up.”
“What skit is this Urban?” Maggie was beyond thrilled and proud of Jack this entire year he’s been winning and achieving so much she couldn’t be anymore more prouder.
“I think it’s the one that Jack dresses up as a giant tampon.” Urban laughed and Maggie looked at him horrified.
“A giant tampon? Out of everything, well that should be a really interesting thing to watch.” Maggie went back to talking with Jack’s grandparents while Urban and Sunni busted out into a fit of giggles.
“Oh it’s definitely going to be something very interesting to see.”
“Very interesting indeed.” Sunni added on.
“Okay, is everyone ready? Let’s go out there and do this shit.. by the way nice costume Y/N.” Kenan laughed and went back to the side of the curtain.
“See baby I told you this costume is the perfect costume and you kind of match with me.”
“I just hope Maggie doesn’t get a heart attack or something seeing me in this.”
“She’ll love it trust me baby.”
“Curtain is opening in 3..2..1.” The curtain opened up, you watched how all the actors got “interviewed” and did their skits, you were beyond happy and proud of Jack he’s achieved so much this year, you knew he was super nervous about tonight but he’s been killing it so far.
“Okay Jack you’re going to go out first and then Y/N we’ll introduce you before you walk out.” Your started rubbing your hands down your costume something you always did when you were nervous, Jack noticed and took your hand in his.
“You got this baby I’ll be right there with you the entire time.” He leaned down and attempted to press a kiss to your lips but the giant string that stuck out of his tampon costume made it a bit difficult.
“We’ll save the kiss for later.” You laughed and he nodded his head in agreement.
“You’re on Jack.” Mike the director whispered.
“Tina! Remember we said we were wishing he’d show up tonight! And he did it’s a frat guy dressed as a tampon!” One of the actors on the show said as Jack walked onto set, everyone immediately erupted in laughter.
“What up! What up! Sigmaaa sigmaaa.” Jack yelled out loud in his frat boy voice, Jack had to take a second to pause or else he would’ve broke character.
“How are you tonight?”
“Oh, I’m chillin bro sigmaaaa!!” Jack yelled out loud and did the Shaka wave that all surfers do.
“Alrighttt sigma, but now I have to ask, how has the costume gone over?”
“Well you know women who are like smart are like disgusted by me but everyone else the vibe it’s giving it’s chilling and you know.”
“And do you have any plans for tonight!”
“Actually yeah I was going to go out and you know get into some legal trouble see a few baddies you know the vibes.”
“Wow well that just sounds amazing!”
“Y/N you’re on.” The director told you and you waddled into the set, here goes nothing. You told yourself.
“Did you say see a few baddies? You aren’t seeing any other baddies but me!” Jack and David immediately broke out of character and started laughing seeing you dressed as a pad.
Jack had to turn around because he simply couldn’t contain his laughter.
“Oh no what’s wrong Frat boy?” The “news” anchor asked Jack.
“I just.” He laughed “I just fuck I mean, Baby what are you like doing downstairs?” He laughed his cheeks turning a bright pink.
“Is that Y/N dressed as a pad!” Maggie laughed out loud.
“Is sure it.” Urban laughed.
“Babe! Like go back upstairs gosh babe I swear I thought I told you stay with Kevin?”
“You did! But all your lame and drunk friends were like totally messing up the vibe.” Jack sighed dramatically and tossed his hands up well somewhat did.
“You see I’m in a interview right babe gosh!! You’re always messing up the fun.” Jack was starting to break character he tried his best not to but seeing him dressed as a tampon and you dressed as a pad was honestly sending him.
“You know what I’m totally done with you!”
“Babe wait up! You know this tampon costume doesn’t make me walk fast.” Everyone laughed watching the two of you waddle off the stage.
“Wow you both did so good, especially you Y/N.” Kenan congratulated the two of you.
“Thank you Kenan it was actually really fun being out there.”
“I’m glad you had a great time, I’ll let you two change.” Kenan gave Jack and You a quick hug before going back on stage.
“Looks like you killed it after all baby, all that stressing for what.” You rolled your eyes at Jack and took off your costume before helping him out of it.
He sat back on one of the couches in his dressing room before patting his lap wanting you to sit on him and you did, wrapping your arms around his shoulders he rested his hands on your thighs.
“I’m so proud of you Jack you honestly have no idea, you’ve achieved so much this year and it isn’t even over yet.” He grinned and gave your lips a quick kiss.
“Thank you baby it means a lot hearing those words come from you. I just can’t wait for this to be over though.”
“Why is that?” A devilish grin appeared on Jack’s face.
“You should know why baby girl. I think once we get back to the hotel I deserve a little treat for all my good work.” You pulled back and placed your hands on your hips.
“Oh is that so?”
“Hmm what do you say?” You thought about it for a second just to tease and play with him before running your fingers across his chest, grabbing his face softly and making him look directly at you, your lips hovering over his.
“I say.. yes I’ll let you have a special treat tonight.”
(I hope you guys like this 😭💗)

"i want it to last forever. (all the magic and fun at sea.)"
This was supposed to be a prompt fill for our lovely @autisticempathydaemon, but alas! School and work caught up to me and I couldn't finish it, but I am making up for it know! As always, all the thanks to our lovely @gingerbreadmonsters to making sure that even if I can't get an Aussie accent right, I can at least get the British one accurate! There will definitely a sequel of sorts where I explain the lore and magic of this world, as well as expose everyone's dark past!
CW: Alternate Universe, My beloved Siren/Mermaid AU, Alexis and Christian are so stupid and in love, Sam and Darlin' being Mother Hens separately, The Pack is here but they are not important (as of right now) I.E. Darlin' is a Solaire, Christian feeling guilty over Darlin' (not romantic), Light Mentions to Darlin's past (Specifically Quinn but he is not mentioned by name), This is small fries compared to my actual Siren Fic, Eventual Sam and Darlin' but that's not why we are here!!!
click here for the ao3 link!!!
--
Press your shirt flat, comb your hair down and check your breath. Daily things that Christian should be doing to maintain his appearance, but never found any reason to. He’s a special breed, one can argue a dumb breed, of humans who don’t care about what others think of him. Given that fact, he doesn’t need to maintain his looks. Who gives a shit about what others say?
But she wasn’t just anyone and he needed to treat her as such. And he’ll try his best with his limited abilities.
He doubles, and triples and quadruple checks himself in the mirror. Ok, so far so good. He doesn’t look like he just rolled out of bed which is a general improvement from his status quo. It wasn’t like simple improvements were good enough for her. Although, if she asked him out while looking like a drowned rat, then maybe she didn’t care for his looks.
(Or at least he thinks that's what she said. To be quite frank, he hasn’t even heard this girl speak. She could definitely understand him, so it wasn’t a language barrier on her end, she just refuses to open her mouth. So far, they have only been able to communicate with nods and what he thinks was sign language. It looked more like flailing hands to him, but it got the job done. Now all he needs to do is not get stood up by the most ethereal woman he’s ever laid his eyes on.)
(Cool. Absolutely no pressure at all.)
He grabs his keys and walks out the door with the nonchalant attitude that has gotten him this far in life. Surely if he treats this tangible Venus like she was a normal girl, then she’ll fall in love with him in no time!
Or punch him in the face and spit on his grave. Either or work.
The rest of the drive was silent. He didn’t bother to come up with creative nicknames or smooth pick up lines because why should he? She decided to ask him out for him, not some casanova. This is what she asked for and this is what she’ll get.
He parked his car by the bridge, and waited for her signal that she’d be on the bridge. She said that when he sees a bright blue light, that will be his que to get on the bridge. A weird signal if you asked him, but hey who was he to judge-
A flash of blue erupted from below the bridge, followed by the sounds of rapid waves. Was Christian going to question the near mystical light? Not by the seven oceans he wasn’t. All he knew was that’s probably his signal so he exited the car and walked onto the bridge.
And low and behold, there she was in her glory.
(Christian did compare her to Venus earlier, and it is his nickname for her, so you can see how much horseshit his earlier thoughts were. But it bears remembering now. There was seafoam under the part of the bridge where she stands. Her midnight hair flows in the wind, moving the same way waves ebb and flow in the ocean. Even her dress had something otherworldly about it, from the way it hugged her body like wet fabric, despite it looking dry as a bone, and the shells and gems that adorned it. There was something off about her in the most tantalizing way possible.)
He cleared his throat, blessing her with his presence as much as she’s blessing him with hers and causing the young woman to snap out of her daze. “Hello, Venus. Excited to see me?” Confidence and borderline cockiness were dripping from his voice. It all came from a place of genuine care, whether she knew it or not was up to her.
Venus smiled at the arrogant boy, moving her hands to sign to him. It still looked like gibberish to him, although if he stared hard enough and paid enough attention, he’ll be able to understand her…
The girl shook her head, not in disgust or apathy, but in amusement. Like she found the miscommunication on his end cute. She pulled out a notebook and a pen from her pocket and began to write down what she was trying to say. Quite a large book from a small dress, but he’s seen weirder.
She flips the notebook over to reveal the message. Thank you for meeting me here.
Christian puffed his chest up, pride filling his tanned body. He ran a hand through his golden hair, replying, “I’m just doing a favour for you.” Please don’t focus on how fast his heart is beating or how he wiped his shirt to get rid of the excess sweat.
Or the strange feeling of being watched from a distance.
She rolled her eyes, and usually it would insult Christian. Lord knows he doesn’t like being made into a joke, but if making himself a fool is what keeps Venus smiling, then he’ll become the butt of every joke from here on till the day she dies. (A long time away that day is.)
Venus opened up her notebook and continued to write in it. How has your day been, Christian?
Ah ha! An excuse to talk about himself. It’s what he excels at the most! He opened his mouth, ready to go on about his day. “Well the waves and weather were nice today, so I went surfing. Taught some assholes what it really means to shred it on the water. Like, seriously, do you want to know what these little shits did!” He then went on a tirade about these teenagers and how they wouldn’t listen to any of his warnings as to why not to ride a monster wave. Lo and behold, Fred and Bright wiped out hard and he has no sympathy for them.
She covered her mouth, muffling the angelic laugh that Christian was convinced she had. It’s a little weird that he’s never heard a sound from her, at least he thinks it is. Even non-verbal people let out sounds, heavy breaths or quiet sighs, to prove that they’re alive. But Venus hadn’t done any of that. He wonders what’s preventing her from letting out any sounds. He's known about how trauma can cause people to go mute, he's seen it happen with Bright. But dare he be crass, Venus seems quite well adjusted to society.
(The two bodies in the water with scales down their bodies say otherwise. Neither of them wanted to be there, but what the Ocean demands, the Ocean receives.)
"Let me guess, you're into surfer boys?" Brash and overconfident was unbecoming of most men, at least that's what Darlin' used to say. But they're dead and therefore, their advice and words don't matter anymore. Somehow it works for him and it's working on her so he won't lead the dead dictate his actions.
Returning to her notebook, Venus scribbled down some words. She turned it over, revealing the words she wrote down. I've never spoken to a 'surfer boy' before. Are they all as haughty as you?
Ouch, that was personal. She didn't have to call him out on his attitude like this. She didn't need to mimic the ghosts he lives with all that accurately.
Ignoring the accidental jab to his heart, he rolls his eyes and lets her words leave quiet wounds on his body. "Well I'm sure that you'll be begging for me later, princess." Assuming that Venus would ever beg. Voice aside, she doesn't seem like the type to beg.
Christian dropped his bravado and leaned back against the bridge. "How about you? How's your day been?"
Venus looked back at her notebook, taking her time to write down every detail of her day. Once she was done writing, she flipped her notebook back to Christian.
It's been good. I went out with my brother, his partner and one of my friends to get some food. We had some beignets and they were really good! I haven't had good ones in quite some time. Plus, my brother got powder sugar all over himself and he looked like he failed to smoke some cocaine, so that was amusing.
"An eventful day," he chuckled. He tried to picture a younger, male version of Alexis covered in powdered sugar to make himself feel better for the fact that he'd be the fool doing the same thing. "Maybe you can take me there one day? I've never had a beignet before."
Venus smiled and nodded her head, and he's planning to message Milo about a styling intervention. It would be worth it to look good for her.
The same blue light from earlier flashed again, and Venus's eyes widened. She frantically looked between the ocean and Christian, her face puzzled and brain working to come up with an excuse. Realizing that she was looking for an excuse, he decided to free her of that burden.
"Look, I get if you need to go." He watched her face relax and kept going. "I have work the next day, anyways." He fiddled with his car keys, trying to find a way to stretch these seconds into eons. "It was nice seeing you again. I hope it won't be the last time?"
She shook her head while writing in her notebook. We can grab some beignets tomorrow if you're free? Meet me here again at noon and we can go together.
"Perfect!" His smile bloomed at the thought of spending more time with his girl. "I'll see you tomorrow!"
He turned back to go to his car, not paying attention to the large splash from behind him. Heart lighter than air, he danced his way back to his car. There was no person worth more sleepless nights and tired mornings than Venus and he can't wait for more time with her.
The drive back home seemed shorter while he was lost in his head. But the minute he parked in his garage, he knew he had to focus in order to stay silent. While Sam never cared about what Christian did with his time, the fact that he came back later than what he promised was all he needed to fear the coming of the Southern Mothern Hen.
Creeping his way inside, he was relieved that the lights were turned off and not a soul was in the living room.
Until a single lamp was turned on and Sam was sitting on the couch.
"Mate-"
"Do you know what time it is, young man?" He didn't give Christian any time to respond. "I'll tell you what time it is. It's damn near midnight, when you said you'd be back by 10 PM." The southern man got up and started pacing around. "I thought, 'you're a grown man, you don't need me to follow you like a mama duck, even after you're meetin' some mysterious woman.'"
Sam stopped in the middle of the room and gave Christian a death glare. "But nooo, you had to stay out longer and make all of us worry over your sorry ass!"
"Uh, who is us-"
"Not the point, Christian!" He rubbed his temples and let out a fatherly sigh. "I know you love this girl, but seein' her on a random night by a bridge? I'm just worried that you're going to get caught up in some stupid shit."
Despite only being three or so years older than him, Sam always spoke with the wisdom of a man who's lived a thousand lifetimes. He should really listen to his advice before he does end up like Darlin'.
(He can't help but think of the parallels between his situation and Darlin's. Guilt still fills his body when he thinks of them, and he's left to wonder what would happen if they had a Sam in their life to step in. Sometimes he feels unworthy for Sam's care because he doesn't deserve it. They did. But they'll never get that help because they're gone and it's no thanks to him.)
Christian sighed, letting go of his defensive guard. "Alright, I'll be more careful. But like, fuck…" He fell onto the couch in desperation. "I really like this girl, Sam. I don't want to mess it up."
"And you won't." Sam sat down to pat Christian's back. "I'm just askin' you to exercise a level of caution. I mean, last time you mentioned her, you didn't even get her name."
"..."
"You got her name this time, right Christian?"
"I'll get it tomorrow?"
"Oh my Lord, you love sick fool."
Thank God Christian turned his back to Alexis just in time for him to not see three figures appear from the water onto the bridge. Bless his oblivious heart for missing every sign.
"Chrissy? The mysterious human man was Christian? Alexis Solaire, you are better than this." Of course Darlin' was the first one to speak. It made sense, they knew him back from when they were human, so they had the most opinion. Which is exactly why she didn't want to tell them about her little date.
"Oh come on, he's not that bad. He's… interesting." Interesting was code for an asshole that has caught her attention. But it wasn't her fault that they were both assholes who gravitated towards each other.
"He's interesting alright! Interesting enough to shove a knife into!" They paced up and down the bridge, the waves beneath them moving wherever they did. "Oh my lord, now I know why William made us follow you. I thought it was because he was just being a worried bitch but no! He had actual reason to worry!"
Finally she found an opening to speak her piece. "Great point, why on Earth are all three of you here? And what gave William the right to send three of his sirens to follow me?" She couldn't help but feel patronized. She was a grown woman, older than the three in front of her in both human and siren years. If there were any of them who can take care of herself, it's her.
Vincent yawned and rubbed his eyes. "None of us want to be here, so William said that if we didn't, he's going to station us in the Drake Passage to sink some ships." He shivered at the thought, and Alexis couldn't blame him. The last time she was there, her human skin matched the blue shade of her scales.
"And like, I would send an army after my daughter if I knew her man was Christian," they shuddered. She wonders if Darlin's hatred was because of an unfinished past with him, anger and resentment brewing inside her friend over how they died.
"Oh, don't be so ridiculous, Darlin'," Porter chuckled. She was waiting for him to pipe up with some smart comment. "He's... quite the character, certainly, but if that's what it takes to get Alexis's head out of her arse, then..." He crossed his arms and laughed at the dark glare she gave him.
Darlin' smacked the backside of his head, ignoring the faux pout on his face. "Porter there are better men to teach that lesson." They all raised their eyes at Darlin', wondering who would be a 'better lesson' for their dear princess.
Not appreciating the confused yet amused stares from their friends, Darlin' just mumbled about how she could have learned from their mistakes rather than making her own. It was fair game, but that was assuming that Darlin's 'mistakes' were their fault. They were not.
"Can we go home? Me and Lovely have reservations at a restaurant and I need to go." He yawned, a telltale sign that Vincent was tired and needed to recharge with Lovely. It was sickeningly adorable, and she was happy that he found someone to spend his eternity with.
Darlin' wasn't having any of it. "Shut up, Vincent! Some of us have actual problems like making sure our friends don't end up with mediocre men." Harsh words aside, it was clear that they didn't mean to sound rude, they were just angry over the situation.
"Well, at least this 'Christian' won't be able to kill her," Porter mused. He made a dramatic turn towards Darlin', ready to push them to their absolute limit. "That was why you came, wasn't it?"
For fuck's sakes Porter, that was low blow. Even for her.
Rightfully so, Darlin's claws and fangs appeared, eyes sharpening like a shark. "You absolute fucking asshole!" They tackled Porter back into the water, and thankfully, Porter's head hadn't floated back to the surface. Yet at least.
"Do you really like him?" Vincent asked from beside her.
She thought about it. Christian was definitely the man who's made her feel more… she didn't what he made her feel. Alexis Solaire (formerly known as Alexis Getty) didn't feel love. For as long as she could remember, the most she would feel was a strong 'like'. But love? She wasn't sure she was capable of that feeling.
But that was until William and Vincent sparked the familial love she didn't have towards her own biological family. Or how Porter and Darlin' bonded over the platonic love they all share for each other.
Maybe Christian would be the person to teach her romantic love.
"I don't know Vince, but I think we should check on Darlin' and make sure they haven't mauled Porter by now."
Vincent's demeanour perked up with realization. "Shit- We can't have them rip his arm off again!" He jumped back into the water, trying to stop the coastal line from becoming shark-infested again.
Alexis looked up at the moon. She still doesn't believe she deserves this chance of a beautiful second life. All of her mistakes and regrets always prevented her from living in the present. But with how Christian carries himself, being able to let things bounce off him, it inspires her that maybe she can do the same thing.
She smiled. She can't wait to see Christian messy with powder sugar all over his mouth.

Request; Hi love! Can you please make some angst with Lewis, like he’s super stressed and you got into a terrible fight during race weekend because he says he can defend himself, but he ending in a podium makes him realised he was wrong and apologise to you? 🙏🏼
Warnings; mention of stress and pressure, a bit of swearing, a fight but not terrible because I can’t see Lewis being mean 😭
✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
This season was tougher than the preceding ones, not only your boyfriend had his eighth championship- and absolute record, stolen from him, but this season’s car was a struggle.
She wasn’t living up to the expectations to say the least, and Lewis being himself, had suggested to the team to use his cars for the experiments instead of George’s.
It made the races even tougher as your boyfriend didn’t get a single win yet, of course, it would come at some point, after all, Lewis wasn’t the best for nothing.
But as if having a bad car wasn’t enough, added to the ending of the last season, Lewis was still receiving hate from rival team’s supporters claiming that he had never been that good, that he had only been lucky to have a fast car, or sometimes they would say that his career was over.
It disgusted you to see how even after everything he had done for this sport, every records he had broken and how many titles he had won over the years- he still wasn’t respected by a lot of people.
You knew the hate was just adding on the already present pressure, that it hurt him even if he wouldn’t speak about it too much. Ever since you started dating, Lewis had tried his best to shield you from the negativity towards you or him- and while he was doing a great job at that, you weren’t blind.
Usually, you wouldn’t intervene as you tried to avoid doing interviews and all that jazz, it felt more important to be by Lewis’ sides and tell him how he didn’t deserve any of the hate he was getting and how proud you were of him aswell as how much you loved him.
That being said, you had always felt like it wasn’t enough, even if he told you he didn’t need you to do more, that you being by his sides was all he needed- it wasn’t helping you feeling any better about the situation.
Lewis couldn’t always be the one to protect you, you wanted to do the same for him. Even if it meant that you’d be more exposed to the famous side of his life. You weren’t a celebrity, you’d never consider yourself as one- you were a random person who happened to date the best Formula One driver in the history.
———
It was only friday and it had been quite a rough week for Lewis, a new wave of hate had happened earlier this week and you had seen how down he had been feeling ever since- even if he had tried to hide it.
For the past two weeks, Mercedes had brought new upgrades to the cars and it was starting to improve the results- it had been enough for some idiots to start posting hate against Lewis on social medias.
Of course, you were here to try to cheer him up like you always would but this time, it didn’t seem to work out very well- you couldn’t blame him for that, it wasn’t an easy task to ignore hateful comments.
So, when you were heading to the Mercedes’ garage after you went to say hi to some of the drivers’ girlfriend who became your friends, you were stopped by a journalist, “ hello y/n, we know that you don’t like interviews but we still wanted to give it a shot- what do you have to say about the recent comments Lewis received?”
Usually, you would excuse yourself and say you had nothing to tell them, that you didn’t want your face to be shown on tv but it was also your chance to say what you had on your heart, “ we all know why it happened again- they’re scared that Mercedes is improving on their cars, they’re scared that they’ll soon have to watch their teams compete for the podiums against Mercedes.”
As soon as your little monologue was over, you excused yourself with a polite smile and left right away. Heading straight to the Mercedes’ garage, you met right away with your boyfriend who definitely looked upset.
Frowning, you wondered what was going on, maybe something was wrong with his car you thought, that’s why you questioned him, “ what’s wrong?”
“ I heard what you said to that journalist.”
“ Already? It was live?”
By now, you had followed your boyfriend to a calmer side of the garage to have some kind of privacy, “ it was- why did you say that?”
“ I just wanted to defend you?”
“ I can defend myself, I don’t need you to do it for me.”
“ I know you can defend yourself babe, I’m not saying otherwise. You’re always trying to protect me from the hate and all that, I don’t see why I can’t do the same for you?”
Pinching the bridge of his nose, Lewis sighed loudly- a clear sign that he was more than annoyed with the situation and conversation, “ this season has been so bad, I don’t need people to think that I need my girlfriend to talk for me.”
“ What does that even mean?”
“ Just don’t do it again, okay? I don’t want you to defend me, I can have my own back.”
It was your turn to become annoyed at the conversation- you had done nothing wrong, you didn’t even understand why he was upset with you to begin with, “ don’t worry about that, I’ll never defend you again- oh and honestly? Fuck you.”
And with that, you left him there, you were fuming and in no way you would stay in the garage to watch the practices, instead you headed directly to the paddock where you’d be watching the two practices from.
———
As the weekend went by, you stayed upset at your boyfriend, avoid any form of contact or interaction with him- it was petty but you didn’t care, and it wasn’t like he was trying to make it better in any way, he was ignoring you half of the time.
You had no idea for how long this situation would keep going, you could understand he needed to cool down and during a race weekend it wasn’t exactly the easiest thing to do.
Even mad at him, you still understood that he needed time and were willing to give it to him- and you weren’t the one in the wrong here. The pressure and stress were hard to handle and maybe he needed to let everything out for once.
That’s what you were telling yourself at least. No matter what was going on, as it was now sunday, you were supporting your boyfriend at a hundred percent. You believed in him and knew he could get back at the top, where he belonged.
By the end of the Grand Prix, Lewis had done it- he was back on the podium after a couple of races without being on it. Today wasn’t a win, only a third place, but in that car, it was an achievement. It was only a matter of weeks until Lewis would win again.
Throughout the whole weekend, you kept watching the practices and races in the paddock, thinking it was for the best after the fight Lewis and you had on friday. But still, you couldn’t not attend the podium.
Usually, you would be in the front line, proudly cheering for the love of your life, but this time, you would blend in the group, hoping that Lewis wasn’t going to see you- you didn’t want to ruin his podium if he didn’t want you around for now.
You couldn’t help but smile during the whole podium celebration- you knew how much Lewis and Mercedes needed this podium after those hard weeks, how hard they had worked on the cars to be able to compete with the top two teams again.
Once the celebration was over, each driver went back to their team to enjoy the moment a little longer. You tried to make yourself as small as possible, but it seemed like Lewis had spotted you from the podium as he directly made his way to you, “ I wasn’t sure you’d come to the podium.”
You shrugged at his comment, unsure of how to react, “ I didn’t know if you wanted me to or not.”
“ Of course, I wanted you there with the team, that’ll never change.”
“ Are you sure? I was afraid that it was going to ruin your podium.”
Lewis’ face dropped at your words, becoming way more serious all of a sudden, he took a step closer as he apologized, “ when I was on the podium and saw you there, I realized how much I fucked up. It’s not an excuse, but all the pressure of not being in the title fight, to not live up to the expectations this season- it was unfair to get angry at you when all you did was trying to protect me.”
“ It hurt me to hear you didn’t want me to defend you, you know? I’m your girlfriend, it’s literally part of my job to have your back, and even if you don’t like it- I won’t stop.”
Your boyfriend cracked a smile at your answer, relieved to learn that you weren’t too mad at him anymore, “ I’m so sorry, I didn’t want to hurt you. I really didn’t want that.”
“ Just talk to me next time instead of being an ass, yeah?”
“ I will, I promise. Can I get my podium kiss and hug now?”
You laughed at his demand, he almost sounded like a child, making you his puppy eyes so you wouldn’t say no- how could you even think of say no to this face anyways.
Usually, Lewis would have gotten his hug and kiss for making it to the podium already, but due to the situation, it was way later this time- but still, it felt just as enjoyable, maybe even more now that everything had been sorted out.
