suna x gn!reader | rin comes home and sees the new photo of him you've gotten

note from nia: if anyone does another character w my idea i am humbly asking u to tag me because i think it's fun and silly

“what the hell is that?”

“what do you mean?”

“i mean why is my face on the back of your phone?” suna asks, laughing in disbelief.

you turn your phone to look at its back with the photo of him sitting in a pink photo holder. he’s mid-laugh, head resting on your lap, and plushie under his chin. your aforementioned boyfriend stands above your spot curled up on the couch, and waits with a tilted head for an explanation. “you don’t like it? it’s a photocard.”

“it—” he snorts before reaching for your phone to inspect it. you hand it over and his lips twitch into a smile. “am i a k-idol now?”

“maybe. you tell me.” you shrug. rin carefully takes off your phone case to look at himself, even moving so the light from outside would give him a better view. you gesture to the photocard with an accomplished grin. “i even got a sleeve and decorated it.”

“mhm, i see that, baby,” he replies breathily. you watch as he rubs the different stickers and tilts the holder, letting the sparkly stickers reflect back at him. if he had passed your desk he would have seen the sticker sheets you bought specifically for this, alongside the different layouts you had planned out. “where’d you even get this printed?” he asks.

“i have my ways.”

rin shakes his head, pressing his tongue against the inside of his cheek before looking at you. “no, i need to know so i can print one of you.”

“what?” he only continues to look at you, a smile growing on his face.

you squint at him in return. "rintarou." he bends down to place your phone and photo on the coffee table, then moves to join you on the couch. if there was something you knew about suna rintarou, it was that he’d always, always go through with a bit. if you didn’t stop him now, he’d start ordering photocards of you and pretend to unbox them, saying something about always managing to pull the rarest ones.

you groan at the new weight on top of you as he shifts to lie down properly. “rin, oh my god, you’re going to smush to me. and also no way are you getting one.”

he hums and wraps his arms around your waist, close enough that you can feel the warmth of his laugh against your skin. “why not? i want a photocard of you.”

“no, you don’t deserve my photocard.”

“but we could match, babe. don't you think we’d be cute? i could decorate my sleeve, too.” rin looks up at you with an exaggerated pout. you pinch his cheek and snicker at his unamused frown. “no, you’d pick an awful photo and i’d have to kill you out of principle.”

“uh-huh, just don’t get blood on my picture then,”—he turns his head to bite onto your finger and grins as you pull it away—“it’ll be the one and only copy, worth your rent in just a year.”

“so you admit you’d pick a terrible photo?”

“no, i’d pick a good one,” he says plainly. the look you give him is so obviously mistrusting that rin laughs loudly. he shifts up to plant a kiss to your jaw and counters softly, “i would, it’d be the one i have as my lockscreen. promise.”

his lockscreen had been the same photo of you for months; it was a selfie you had taken on his phone, close up and face smushed against his pillow. the first time you asked about it, rin had told you he’d look at it when he was away and didn’t want to wake you, and imagined you were there beside him.

he looks at you expectantly, waiting for approval. your own expression softens and after a second, you sigh. “god. yeah, okay. i can’t believe we’re going to have photocards of each other.”

“seriously? you did it first.”

“as a joke, and you’re going with it.”

“yeah, ‘cause you’re cute and i love you.” you stutter and he smirks, deciding to give you the small mercy of not commenting on it. “i’m gonna print a bunch and start a collection, y’know.”

the idea makes you groan. “can you just make your own and sell them so we can be rich?”

you feel his laugh before getting his agreement. “i can do both of those things. i'll even get the team on board and spoil you with our incredible profit.”

“oh, wow. will i get credit?”

“yeah. something, something copyright law or whatever.” you're 100% sure that was bullshit, but hum despite it. “m’kay. that’s the plan, then.”

and you think that’s the end of it, and quietly ask rin to hand you your phone again. even if it was as a joke, you spent more time on decorating the sleeve than expected and wanted it back in your case. he manages to grab and pass it to you but the sight of himself gets rin's mind on his own photocard again. he looks at you sheepishly. “...can i seriously take your stuff to decorate the card sleeve, though?”

“OH MY GOD— IS THAT—?!” you gasped when you laid your eyes on the kitchen counter, the limited edition album your boyfriend and his groupmates were going to drop in a few weeks on top of it. You giggled excitedly as you rushed to pick it up, tearing off the plastic in a matter of seconds.

You smiled when the poster inside showed off such an elegant, though young and fresh OT8 picture, loving how each and every member shined on his own, none of them shining brighter than another (though you thought Chan’s expression and confident pose slightly overshadowed his members, but you may have been biased, so let’s not take it for a fact).

After spending some time looking through the pages, stickers and freebies, you finally were ready to see which photocard you’d gotten—and you hoped at least one of them was going to be your boyfriend’s, but before you even had a chance to look, two strong arms wrapped around your waist from behind, and soft lips pecked your cheek. “Who’d you get?” Chan asked, not being able to contain his curiosity, since he’d already spent the past minutes looking at you and your happy expression, and hearing your comments about the title tracks and whatever you took note of from the living room.

“I don’t know, but I have a feeling it won’t be you.” you scowled, whining when you found out you were right—but at least you got the Felix and Seungmin ones, so you couldn’t really complain.

Chan huffed behind you, resting his chin on your shoulder. “Had to beg management for weeks so I could bring you this album to not even get me?”

You chuckled, turning to face him and circle his neck with your arms, pecking his lips before cupping his cheek. “Doesn’t matter, baby. I’ve got the real you right here.” he smiled, leaning down to taste your lips once more, but stopping when you chewed on your lip to contain another laugh. “Plus, I think Stay would kill to have the one I carry in my wallet, instead of the official one.” you teased, making his cheeks flush red and bury his face in your shoulder.

“STOP, HE’S SO CUTE I’M GOING TO CRY!” you yelled, your loud voice reverberating through your small, shared apartment, causing Minho to almost drop his phone on his face, since he was laying face up on the living room couch, editing his vlog’s footage while he had some time to himself.

And, for a few minutes, it was silent, until he heard you squeal and giggle to yourself once again, which made a frown form on his features as he quickly walked towards your bedroom, creaking the door open and glancing at your giddy self, kicking your feet in the air as you laid down on the bed. “Hey, is everything—” he tried asking, closing the door behind him and sitting on the duvet, but you interrupted him, hugging his side and shoving something in front of his face.

A few confused blinks later, he realized it was a photocard. Precisely, the youngest’s photocard from one of the earliest Stray Kids albums. “LOOK, I GOT INNIE’S PHOTOCARD!!! DOESN’T HE LOOK SO ADORABLE?!” you said, squeezing your boyfriend in between your arms as you kept admiring how cute his group member looked in that picture.

He scoffed. “Tch, mine is cuter.” a pout formed on his lips when you softly pinched his cheek, them burning up when you turned your phone on its back, your transparent case showing off his photocard from that same album.

“I know, you jealous baby.” you said with a chuckle, pecking his lips before putting Jeongin’s picture in the binder that held every single photocard you’d ever gotten from their albums.

“I can’t believe that I bought you literally 3 albums and none of it had a photocard of me! How is that even fair?!” he whined and threw himself face down on your bed, flailing his limbs in frustration. You held back a laugh at how dramatic he was being.

“Aww, come on, Binnie! I could try trading one of the ones I got with Felix, I know he has yours.” you tried reasoning with him, climbing on his back and placing your hands on his shoulders, trying to keep him still. He seemed to calm down at your words, laying his face on the side so he could look up at you.

“How do you even know that?” he mumbled, still pouty.

You sighed, starting to knead the skin on his bare neck and shoulders. “His partner told me, but I don’t know if he’ll be down to trade it for anything... Maybe if I offer him all three Chan photoca—”

He grumbled, interrupting you once again. “See?! How is it fair that you got Chan hyung’s photocard three times, but mine not even once?!” you rolled your eyes, knowing you wouldn’t be hearing the end of this story for at least the next couple of days.

You frowned when the doorbell rang at 7 in the morning, dragging yourself out of bed and peeking outside through the peephole to check who’d interrupted your sleep. You gasped when you noticed it was Hyunjin, quickly fixing your hair with your fingers and clearing your throat, before opening the door with a smile—which he mirrored.

“Breakfast and limited edition No Easy album for you.” Hyunjin quietly said, stepping inside your apartment and taking off his shoes, putting on the slides that had basically become his once you’d started dating, and placing everything down on your dining table.

After rushing to the bathroom to make yourself look presentable and having a sweet breakfast on your tiny balcony as you chit-chatted about pretty much anything, he went back inside to bring you the No Easy album, the only one you were missing from your collection. You tore open the plastic and swiftly looked through everything, telling him how beautiful he looked in each picture, making him blush.

When you finally decided to take a look at which photocard you’d gotten in the album, you gasped. “Did you get me?” Hyunjin asked excitedly, since, secretly, his favorite pictures and photocards of himself came all from that album. And, without fail, anytime you bought a Stray Kids album, you got a photocard of him—but apparently, your lucky strike ended.

“No.” you frowned, looking at the Jisung and Minho photocards in your hand. You looked at your boyfriend, who looked way sadder than you, so you took his hand in your and squeezed it softly. “But at least I now have this Hyunlix poster. I’ll be hanging it up on my bedroom wall so, when I wake up from now on, the first thing I will see will be your beautiful face.” you said with a smile, which turned into a hearty laugh when he hid his face behind his hands.

“Look! I pulled Hy—” you cheered, turning your head to look at his sleepy face with pride, holding the Hyunjin photocard in front of his eyes as he squeezed your waist and slid closer to you under the duvet, resting his head on the hardcover of the Oddinary album you’d just opened so he could look up at you easily.

He slowly shook his head, pouting his lips as he quickly blinked to wash the drowsiness away from his eyes. “No, you did not pull him.” he said in a raspy voice, and you frowned, looking back and forth between the photocard in your hand and your boyfriend, who must’ve gone insane since the man in the picture you were holding was indeed Hyunjin.

“What?” you asked, but as the seconds passed and his smile grew wider, you started hoping, praying that was not one of his usual attempts at making a funny joke.

“You pulled me, your boyfriend.” he said while snickering, pulling you on top of him and hugging you close when he felt that you were about to get out of his bed, peppering your face with kisses and tickling you until you forgave him.

“Who’d you get?” Felix asked, peeking at your album splayed open next to his on the coffee table of his quiet dorm. It was deep into the night and everyone was sleeping—hell, you two were supposed to be sleeping as well, but your cute puppy eyes and constant begging to open the newest albums together made him too weak for him to say no. Though, he kinda regretted not having listened to his instinct as switching his album with yours, since, apparently, you’d gotten—

“Binnie!” you said proudly, waving it in front of his face in a teasing manner. He rolled his eyes.

“You’re lucky; I got mine.” he said in a sad tone, glancing at the photocard in his hands and yours, trying to think of a solution. “Would you like… trade it for mine?” Felix asked with hope laced in his voice, holding his picture out for you to take. However, his happy face fell when you shook your head, hugging Changbin’s photocard close to your chest.

“But you already gave me one of yours a few days ago…” you reminded him, to which he pouted and laid down on the floor, disheartened.

He let out a deep sigh. He’d been wanting to get his hyung’s photocard so he could show it off on the shelf of his bedroom, and he was going to get it, one way or the other. Then, it struck him. “Wait… what if I give you my The Sound photocard?” You widened your eyes, slowly turning to face him with an agape mouth. “Your The Sound photocard, as in… your LIMITED edition one? The one that costs literal THOUSANDS?” you whisper-shouted, so surprised that he was willing to just give it to you after months of unsuccessful begging. He nodded with a smirk on his face, quickly going to retrieve it from his bedroom as you followed behind him.

“Spill the beans, who’d you get?” Seungmin inquired as soon as you picked up your phone, having received the message where you’d told him their newest album had just arrived at your apartment. You smiled.

“Chan and Minho.” you answered, staring at their photocards safely tucked in your binder. You heard him let out an annoyed sigh, then a scoff.

“The grandpas, yikes.” he replied, and even though you couldn’t see him, you could hear his disgusted expression.

“YAH, WHAT’D YOU SAY?!” you heard Minho’s voice yell, startling you as you put on your shoes. You shook your head when you heard your boyfriend continue to annoy his hyungs, stepping into the elevator to go to the underground parking lot and drive to work.

You clicked your tongue when you heard him start running around the practice room, probably being chased by Minho and Chan, as hearty laughs and encouraging words were being thrown at both parties. “Okay, I’m in trouble now. Remember that I love you, if I don’t make it out alive.” Seungmin said breathlessly, laughing as he once again doubled down on teasing his hyungs.

“Noted. Love you too, puppy.” you replied, sending him a kiss before hanging up.

He’d tried not showing it, making it seem like it did not bother him at all—but the back of your phone showing off your latest Hyunjin photocard was all he could think about, and not in a good way. He wouldn’t have considered himself to be jealous or territorial, but he just… you’d always had only his photocards on the back of your phone from the moment you met, and seeing a face that was not his kind of… unsettled him.

Jeongin finally spotted you in the busy tteokbokki place where you were supposed to be having your lunch break together before going back to your schedules, waving at you with a smile on his face. You smiled back and lingered on the warmth the hand he’d placed on your cheek gave you, before placing a quick peck on your lips. You grinned and expected him to sit down in front of you so you could order some food, but he took out of the pocket of his jacket a thin object, which you recognized to be a photocard, before walking over to his seat. “It’s yours now.”

You frowned in confusion at first, but your eyes soon lit up when you noticed it was him printed on the card, so, showing him a big smile, you took out your wallet from your pocket to put it in there and keep it safe, but a gentle tap on your arm stilled your movement. “Put it at the back of your phone… please?” he asked with big, sparkly eyes, and you nodded without making a fuss, quickly switching the cards and putting Hyunjin’s one in your wallet now. “Much better.” Jeongin whispered, a knowing smile painting your lips.

Yup, he was indeed jealous.

To be completely honest, with how pale this man is and his insomnia, you would think you're just meeting a fellow vamp

He would be glad to have someone to hang out with and to keep him company while he's working late at night

All of your dates would be at night because he doesn't want the sun to hurt you

Would 1000% sacrifice himself if it means you get to eat

You've heard a lot of music in your lifetime so he values your opinion and counts on you being brutally honest

He knows you can eat regular food but will offer to let you drink his blood

Tries not to make you go out in the sun, but will make sure you're covered and protected like a mom getting their baby ready for a beach day

"Will sunblock even work on you?" "I'm fine with an umbrella and long sleeves." "Eh, we'll put it on anyway."

Just wants you at your best

Like, you should be concerned for his well being

Would be concerned that you're not getting enough nutrients after you told him that you're a vegetarian and only feed on animal blood

One time he got a pint of his own blood, you're not even sure how, and called it a "Ca-me-sun" (like Caprisun)

You didn't drink it so he wouldn't get into the habit of feeding you with his own blood (what a waste)

Will go to a butcher for you and ask for animal blood for you, gotta make sure his baby eats

He would be terrified

Would be paranoid around you for the first few months of you two knowing each other

Convinced you're raising him for slaughter or something

Walked around with Holy Water, a cross, and a wooden stake as a precaution

He let his guard down when he saw you trying to do your hair one day

You can only do so much without a mirror

He realized that you couldn't see yourself in the mirror so he offered to do a cute hairstyle for you

You reminded him that it wouldn't matter because you couldn't see yourself anyway

Ended up going to the butcher on his own after he watched you collapse in the sun

Threw up when he got home

Needless to say that you never asked him to get the blood again and always made sure that you had some at his dorm just in case

"I know they are in here, where did he hide it?" You said to yourself. You were currently on your knees digging through your boyfriends closet. It was the hellish season between fall and winter where it was cold but not super cold but chilly and not super chilly? You wanted to warm yourself up a bit, but a blanket wasn't doing the trick, so the next best thing? Stealing one of your boyfriends many, many hoodies, but was it stealing though? You had a right to those hoodies! Seungmin however thought otherwise but he was just gonna have to get over it to be honest. Luckily, he was out at practice still and you were watching movies in his dorm waiting on your puppy to comeback and snuggle you. Honestly wearing his hoodies wasn't just about being warm though, it was about how good it made you feel, how fuzzy you got thinking about him, the smell of his cologne and the thickness of the hoodie feeling like a warm embrace. He did ask you specifically to stop taking his hoodies but again he was going to have to get over it!

While you were digging you suddenly felt a pinch on your butt that shocked you and you let out a yelp while turning around to sit on your butt to see who it was.

"Wanna tell me what you're doing going through my stuff Y/N?" your boyfriend said standing a healthy 5 feet and 10 inches.

"W-well I was just looking around for something I forgot…" You managed to stutter out.

"Something you forgot? And what exactly did you forget in my closet?" He said raising his eyebrow.

"Um… THIS ISN'T FAIR!" you yelled out while standing up to demand a hoodie like it was your birth right.

"You always come over and take all my hoodies! I told you I will buy you your own if you want them so bad." He said refusing to back down.

"It's not the same! I want yours!"

"I’ll buy the same one twice then, one for me, one for you." You rolled your eyes then shook your head.

"You just don't get it!" you walked over to his bed and put yourself in the corner to hug one of his pillows that he called your pillow and pout. "I'm mad at you!"

"You'll get over it." He said deciding that arguing with you was no use, you were his spoiled little brat and he had no one to blame but himself for making you that way.

"No, I won't! I'm going to be mad at you for the rest of my very cold days." You muffled as you stuffed your face in the pillow.

"Stop being dramatic." now he was the one rolling his eyes.

"I'm not being dramatic you're being mean!"

"Would a mean boyfriend offer to take you to get the new plushie that you've been wanting that released today?" He said smiling at you to try to pique your interest, you had to admit he was good at that. "And take you too boba after." Your eyes looked up from behind the pillow, you wanted to resist, no, needed to resist.

"I'll only take you if you stop being mad at me." He said opening his arms for you to give him a truce hug. You stayed quiet, it killed you, but you stayed quiet. He sighed knowing you were good at getting him to crack.

"Did I forget to mention that I stopped by our album distribution center and grabbed you my photocards for this comeback as well?" He said pulling out a brown mini photocard binder that had cute puppies on it and was filled with fresh photocards, oh it was like a sword to your heart to not say anything, but you couldn't give in now and risk looking weak.

He sighed once again then suddenly left the room for a moment, you were confused. Were you perhaps being a bit to bratty or mean? You didn't want Seungmin to think you were really mad at him, you were just being playfully spoiled but then he reentered the room with a gray hoodie in hand, he tossed it too you as it landed on your head.

"Fine, here you big baby." He said, he just truly could not tell you no.

"Yay! Thank you Minnie!" You slipped on the hoodie then got off the bed to jump on him to give him a big hug.

"Yeah, yeah you're welcome." He said squeezing your waist and pecking your lips. "Come on so we can get your plushie and boba."

Again, you were his little brat and he loved you that way.

The moon outside shines through the window as the silence in her room wipes away her tears. The white paint is the only source of warmth at this moment. Nothing makes sense and even if she figured it out, her heart wouldn’t feel the same. She slowly gets up from her bed and heads towards her bathroom. She looks at the mirror and she shakes her head at the reflection. She hated how the reflection always showed her the reality of things.

She turned on her water as she stared into the sink. The white porcelain that shone from the water and light was almost beautiful after her crying session. She cupped her hands together and let the water hit her face. Two times turned into six, as water droplets dropped from her soft skin. Her best friend would be mad that she's crying for a man but she can’t help it. She’s so in love with someone who doesn't even know. Her secret love.

The next morning, she walked into her classroom and saw her best friend already there. She smiled at this and walked towards her with books to her chest. Mina turned towards her and the smile she had dropped, “You were crying again weren’t you?”

L/N Y/N shook her head and set her books on the table, “No, I wasn’t.”

“You're a terrible liar. Your brother texted me telling me you were crying all night.”

Y/N rolled her eyes and sat in the chair, “I hate your friends with my family. It’s annoying.”

Mina shrugged her shoulders and glanced at the door, waiting for someone to show up, “You were thinking about him. Weren’t you?”

“He took me to take boba yesterday.”

Mina raised her eyebrow at this and gave her full attention to her, “There’s something else. What happened?”

“He got a text...and then he said he had to go.”

“Who was the text from?”

“Aria...”

Mina scoffed at this and shook her head as she leaned back in her chair, “Taehyung is not worth your tears.”

“Mina, I don’t want to hear it again. He only sees me as a friend...he will never understand how it feels.”

“Then why don’t you tell him?”

Before Y/N could say anything, Kim Taehyung entered the room and she turned her head towards the door. In her head, there was this light around him that always attracted her. Like a firefly in the summer. He always dressed so casually but he would always look so high class with the plain black shirt. It was the way he walked and the boxy smile he had. She realized he was walking towards her and she quickly shook her head, “Hey Y/N, sorry about leaving you yesterday.”

She smiled at him and shook his head, “It’s okay...is everything okay?”

“Yeah, it was really nothing if I’m being honest. Are you free today?”

She felt a pinch on her thigh and she glanced at Mina who was shaking her head. She looked back at Taehyung and gave him an apologetic smile, “Sorry, I have plans with Mina.”

Taehyung looked at Mina and gave her a smile, “Oh really? What are you guys doing?”

“We have a cup event.”

Taehyung smiled at this and looked at Y/N, “Is it for your favorite group? They're called Red Velvet right?”

Her heart fluttered at him remembering and nodded her head, “Yeah, I get a photocard with the drink.”

“Oh, that’s exciting. I hope you get Irene.”

“I hope so too...”

Taehyung gave her a small wave and that boxy smile shot an arrow right through her heart, “I’ll talk to you later.”

She nodded her head and waved back at him, “Yeah.”

He walked away and headed towards the back of the classroom as Y/N stared at his back. Mina let out a small laugh and shook her head, “God that was so awkward to watch.”

“Mina shut up...”

“It was kinda cute.”

Y/N opened her textbook and let out a small laugh, “Shut the hell up and open your book before I kill you.”

“Jokes on you, I want to die. I wouldn’t have to pay tuition here.”

Taehyung was popular and everyone liked him. Y/N has never heard a bad rumor about him and all the teachers adored him (five points to Gryffindor.) He was on the soccer team with his best friends, the cliche college dream boy. Y/N was just there. She got along with everyone and she stayed out of drama. Her best friend, Mina, has been with her since high school and she was the only one she really talked to. Sure, Y/N spoke to others but it wasn’t as deep as with Mina. She knew everyone had a crush on him, who wouldn’t?

She met Taehyung during their freshman year. It was orientation and they were in the same group. Taehyung, being the friendly guy, came up and started talking to her. Ever since then, she had a crush on him and they were now juniors.

During the course of her crush, Taehyung of course had girlfriends while she stayed single. She remembered meeting Jennie, Allison, Sowon, and Stefania, the rest she never met. Every time she met one, her heart broke. It made sense for him to be in a relationship, she couldn’t imagine someone liking her let alone him. So, she just kept her crush a secret. It’s easier to keep things hidden. It doesn’t change things but it does hurt. It hurts a lot.

“I saw Taehyung and Aria at the party last night.”

“I know, do you think they're dating?”

“They have to. You see how she looks and how he looks, literally idols.”

Y/N got up from her lunch table and walked away. She couldn’t hear any more of the conversation. The biggest rumor of the day was that Taehyung was dating Aria Geun. She kinda had a feeling that he was going to see her next, it makes sense. Like those girls were saying, they looked perfect together. She was beautiful and kind, who wouldn’t like her?

She walked into the Library and sighed to herself. She started to go up the stairs until she heard her name. She turned around and smiled, “Hey.”

“Hey, Y/N. Did you understand the assignment?”

“Jungkook, do you need help?”

He gave her a shy smile and nodded his head, “Yeah, I tried asking Namjoon for help but he was busy.”

“Jungkook, you can always ask me. I was just heading up to the study area.”

“Can I come?”

“Of course.

Jungkook bowed his head at her, “Thank you for saving me.”

They went up the stairs together, talking and laughing but she was unaware of the stare that was on them.

There was a knock on the door and Taehyung glanced at it with a raised eyebrow, “Who is it?”

“It’s Santa. Who else would it be?”

Taehyung rolled his eyes and left his kitchen to unlock it. He opened it and glared at Jungkook who was smiling at him, “What do you want?”

Jungkook was taken aback and frowned at his tone, “What's got you so mad?”

Taehyung sighed and opened the door wider for him to enter, “Sorry... it's because-”

“Was it because I was with Y/N?”

Taehyung closed the door and stared at the dark wood with a frown, “I know you wouldn’t do anything. I just don’t know how long I can keep this up.”

Jungkook sat on the couch and turned on the TV, “You need to talk to her.”

Taehyung sighed and ran his hand through his hair. He sat next to Jungkook and shook his head, “She has given me nothing. I bet she doesn’t even like me that way.”

“You wouldn’t know that unless you talk to her about it.”

“I don’t know...I don’t want to break what we have, you know?”

“Dude, I know but just talk to her.”

Taehyung slapped Jungkook’s leg when he tried resting his feet on his table, “What did you talk about with her?”

“I needed help with chemistry. What did you talk to Aria about?”

“She needed help to get with Mina.”

Jungkook nodded his head and muted the TV, “You need to talk to Y/N. There’s a rumor that Yuta might ask her out.”

Taehyung's eyes widened at this and he whipped his head at Jungkook, “Yuta? The medical major dude?”

“Yeah, do you know another Yuta?”

“Shut the fuck up, of course she would like him. He’s studying to be a doctor and I’m just an art major.”

Jungkook rolled his eyes at this and slapped Taehyung's shoulder, “Do you hear yourself? Y/N and Yuta are just friends, I asked her about him because I was curious. They were partners like twice, that’s it.”

“That doesn’t matter, you never know with people’s feelings.”

“You need to trust her words. Just like how she needs to trust yours.”

Taehyung raised his eyebrow at this and gave him a confused look, “What does that mean? Did she ask about me?”

“You go figure that out lover boy, what’s for dinner?”

“YAH! No food until you tell me! Don’t walk away from me!”

The next morning, Taehyung entered the classroom and saw Y/N reading through her papers. He smiled to himself when he saw her hair fall from her ponytail. She was dressed in a graphic shirt and leggings with her Puma sneakers. She had her headphones on, so she didn’t hear him enter. Usually, he craved her staring at the doorway waiting for him but today there was none of that. He frowned at this and walked up towards her.

He gently poked her shoulder and she looked up with a confused face that quickly turned into a smile, “Tae, you scared me.”

“Sorry, I was just curious about what you're reading.”

“Oh, Yuta needed help with a project and I told him I would help him. He doesn’t understand the chemistry behind it.”

Yuta... “Oh...I thought we were going to hang out tonight?”

Y/N nodded her head and smiled, “We can still hang out. Yuta wants to do it at lunch so, I have time for you.”

“I-I wanted to hang out at lunch too.”

She raised her eyebrows at this, “You wanted to hang out at lunch and tonight? Wouldn’t you get annoyed with me?”

“Never. Can I just hang out with you while you help Yuta?”

“Isn’t that kinda boring?”

“Nah, as long as you're there then it's fun.

Y/N nodded her head at this and gave him a thumbs up, “Okay, I have no problem with that. I guess I’ll see you at lunch then?”

“Yeah, bye, Y/N.”

He started walking away and he glanced at her. She was so focused on reading that his heart fluttered at how focused she looked. He let out a small chuckle and shook his head as he headed towards the back to see Jimin with a mischievous smile, “I saw that.”

“Can you shut the fuck up and open your textbook before I stab you with this pen.”

“Jokes on you, I want to die.”

Taehyung sat at the table and watched Yuta pushing his hair back as Y/N focused on the papers in front of her. It was clear that Yuta was trying to impress Y/N but it wasn’t working. The devil on his shoulder was screaming in joy at this while the angel felt bad for Yuta but Taehyung was listening more to the devil. He took out a lunch box and let out a small cough, “Neh, Y/N. I bought you some lunch.”

She looked up from the paper and smiled at him, “Oh really? Ohhh~ my favorite, turkey wrap.”

“I also got your tea that you like so much.”

“Thank you Taehyung, I appreciate it. Yuta, I finished the chemistry part. Do you understand it?”

Yuta glared at Taehyung and looked back at Y/N, “I get it, thanks. It was all because of you. I was wondering if you wanted to go to a party tonight with me.”

Y/N shook her head and gave him a soft smile, “Sorry, I have plans with Taehyung.”

Yuta sent an evil glare at Taehyung who was smiling proudly, “Will we ever hang out together? You know just us?”

“You have my number, just text me. I have to go, Mina needs help with something at her place. Bye, Yuta. I’ll see you tonight Tae.”

Y/N gathered her things and sent them a small wave. She walked away and when she was an earshot away, Yuta turned towards Taehyung, “Dude, do you have to be a cockblocker?”

“Don’t flirt with someone that isn’t yours.”

Yuta let out a loud laugh and shook his head, “Yeah, that’s rich coming from Mr. Playboy.”

“Shut up. You broke a lot of hearts too, I don’t want to hear it. I have to go, I have to get ready for my date with Y/N.”

Taehyung got up from the table and put his headphones on ignoring Yuta’s angry remarks. Was this petty? Yes. Did he care? No.

She closed her book and set it to the side of her. She looked at Taehyung with a curious look and his heart wanted to leap from his chest, “Is everything okay?”

“Yeah...Do you trust me?”

Her face turned into a confused one and nodded her head slowly, “Of course I do...Why?”

“I kinda hope you were in the library. You know this was the first place we talked to each other.”

She let out a small laugh, “Yeah, you came up to me and just started talking about art pieces.”

“You talked back to me so, you were stuck with me.”

She nodded her head at this with a small chuckle, “Why are you bringing it up?”

Taehyung wiped his sweaty hands on his pants and gave her a nervous smile, “You trust me?”

“Tae, just tell me. You're making me nervous.”

“Trust my words.”

She nodded her head at this, “Of course...”

Burn it... so much regret.

You thought I was going to talk about something else...

First I want to address something that's been bothering me for a while:

JK's potato phone/internet connection.

The video quality of his broadcasts has been going downhill steadily and I wanted to take his phone and fling it into the Han River.

But then JK himself addressed the problem. Apparently the video quality was due to his wifi strength. And he fixed it. Yay! But not really.

Now I'll move on to other important things...

Jungkook spent the first 15 minutes beating himself up because he messed up the lyrics to Burn It during the D-Day concert. While critiquing himself harshly, he did an unboxing of his Agust D autographed D-Day album and showed us the photocards he pulled:

HE GOT THE SAME ONES I DID!!! A lot of us probably got those as well... anyway...

Then he watched a recording (a recording of the stream I guess?) of his segment of the concert and just kept shaking his head... poor baby really had a lot of regrets over his mistake.

He also knew his pitch was off during Seven and when he watched that clip of the concert all he could do was shake his head again... poor baby.

What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, Boo. Do better next time. That's all you can do. Move on... live and learn... live, love, laugh and all that baloney.

He doesn't cut himself any slack because of the fact he was still fighting whatever head cold crud he's been having since his New York trip.

But he has a plan to redeem himself:

He always comes up with a plan. Lord help us if he ever carries out one of his little schemes...

So after spending almost 50 minutes dwelling on that mostly, he jumps up with the urge to make a middle of the night snack of makguksu and proceeds to walk laps and pace around his kitchen island while holding the phone. So around and around we go...

Then he said he had to put towels in the dryer, but proceeded to grab the vacuum and disappear into the auxiliary kitchen/utility room? I'm confused. He obviously does not have a housekeeper.

An hour in and he's still upset:

JK continued to watch and listen to people who posted their covers of Seven. Though I did finish watching this live, it was over the course of the last few days and I think I will just end my comments about it here.

I started this blog post this past Monday before BigHit dropped the info about Tae's album that evening. The shitstorm that followed was fierce.

I saw it all and I had to take a break from all of that or lose my sense of why I love these guys. So I sat back and let the processes process.

Sometimes you have to do what you gotta do to stay sane.

We often move on from things very quickly here and now that we've entered Tae's solo era I think I will remain in my little bubble of Jimin and Jungkook.

Sometimes I wonder what the point of it all is...

hi hi hi today's reminder is a list of nct members i expect/want to see releasing solo albums (excluding taeyong bc he already has one out, dojaejung bc I have a strong feeling sm wants to push the unit as opposed to the solos, and markhyuck bc i will pay big money for them to take a nap):

1. ten: call me delusional but it is definitely happening by the end of 2024. he can sing, he can rap, he can dance, he speaks 618292 languages, he has the visuals, he has the brand recognition plus he's heavily associated with taem (hit the stage and superm) and i just Know they're gonna push him as the next taemin

2. taeil: at least a mini album before he has to enl*st or i will fucking riot

3. yuta: much like ten - can rap, can sing, can dance, beautiful specimen of a human man, super funny, plus he is one of the most popular members worldwide. it would make Big numbers, but it seems unlikely because he'd eat up nct japan. I'd still love to see it tho, i adore his voice

4. winwin: i just know even in a full solo album he'll end up with a collective 2 minutes of lines and I'm very curious how that would work

5. chenle: my baby. dream has a solid vocal line, so i wouldn't call it a hard carry , but he definitely is the backbone (watch their killing voice, he is the soul of their live singing) of their vocals. the harmonies, the ad libs, and he absolutely kills his own parts, and he's super versatile. this is one of the more unlikely ones on this list but I'd be very interested in listening to that

7. renjun: brilliant singer, i love his voice, he has such a pretty tone that deserves to shine more. also it would top the charts because each and every nct member would buy five of each version just to collect all the photocards. they could ask sm but they wanna do it right. want a fansign call? good luck, you're going up against 20 grown men who would kill for him no questions asked

8. xiaojun: he has never not been the star of a song he's on. take off, moonwalk, make a wish. he's the resonance era golden boy, just a well of potential. the boy is a Star

9. yangyang: universe era golden boy. he's quickly reached Mark/taeyong/Doyoung levels of fitting every single song, and has the unique advantage of sm knowing this and actually putting him on songs. again - sings, dances, raps, models, very funny boy. he has the Range

10. Kun: who's surprised here? honestly his voice is so severely underutilised, it hurts my heart, he has the absolute prettiest singing voice. give him the reins like taeyong and he'll produce an absolute masterpiece

bonus duos bc i thought of some while i was writing those:

1. any/all pairs out of xiaojun, renjun and yangyang: renyang bc besties and their voices would compliment each other, junjun because their unbreakable love cover is the third most watched youtube video in my history, xiaoyang bc again would compliment each other super well and it'd be a fun mixup in the wayv Duos

2. renjun and winwin: i just need to see the rest of them spontaneously combust

3. taeil and chenle: your honour in my heart they are Besties

4. Kun and Chenle: obviously

5. Johnny and Hendery: they would vibe. i know they barely know each other right now but i just believe they would Vibe. also you specifically would love it, and the world should revolve around your wants and needs

Hiiii! Ten definitely has a solo album around the corner. Like he's definitely been preparing for it like if not by year's end for sure in the beginning of next year. Like its just inevitable. I'd even just accept an ep from Taeil. Something cause once Sehun enlists it's only a matter of time for Taeil. Plus Taeil is injured so just one solo song will do. Till he returns.

I hope yuta does a rock album, like its just so him and needs to happen. If Yuta brings back screaming from kpops distant short visual kei past. Like a full rock album from Yuta would be everything. I also have songs I'd like for him to cover. Hatefuck - Motionless in white, Closer - Nine inch nails, Sinematic - Motionless in white, throne - bring me the horizon, I have a playlist I'll just send it to him.

Sweet baby Renjun, definitely needs a solo album soon, his voice is so pretty and needs to be highlighted. Chenle too!! Oooh and a Renjun and Chenle duet would be wonderful. Xiaojun, just put him in the studio and let him go it's what the world needs. I would love to see a Yangyang solo, I loved lowlow so much I need more Yangyang. I would like for him to also cover peach by yixing, it would just fit him. It's what Yixing would want. Of course Kun needs to have an album, it would be a beautiful album of ballads with just one unhinged song that no one expected.

Speaking of Yixing, I need Winwin to really go for it. I want multiple solo albums from Winwin and for his career to really prosper in China, make sm beg him to comeback but he's just too famous and busy. I used to be worried but I need Winwin to get only the best and succeed. But I really feel like SM is purposely holding him back cause they know the power he'd have.

Speaking of hear me out Renjun, Yangyang and Winwin, there's some untapped power there and I kinda need that. We have more than enough proof how good Kun, Taeil and Chenle are together, it's just destined. Yessss Hendery and Johnny would be best friends if they aren't already. And you are too kind but if I had one wish granted by sm it would be Hendery and Johnny duet that's it. Also Johnny, Jungwoo, Jaemin and Hendery there's something here. Not just cause they're all my biases. They're all the same level of weird and a little out of their minds. I don't even want a song. Just put them in a room alone with a camera I want to see what happens.

I'm being very sane and normal about the Ten album I swear. I might have listened to the album 176 times already but that's besides the point.

Ten's about to be my most streamed artist by the end of the year tbh. I'm SOBBING I didn't have money for preorder but I'm getting my little goblin hands on both versions of his album as soon as I can. I need king of the ult table's photocard if it kills me. I've gotten my hands on two WayV albums and Xiaojun I love you, you're secondary bias, but I need my boy.

(Okay to be fair I did pull a Ten in On My Youth but it was the Polaroid and I can't put that in my phone case.)

Not excited over the styling tho. The light on version is giving far too much Kai for me to be convinced it's Ten's flavor and I'm not a fan of the stylings they had him in for Nightwalker. Like the thumbnail image of him with no eyebrows???? I know SM hates him but genuinely why.

It's not like they don't know how to style him??? Was his normal stylist out of town for this promotion or something? Like we're just back to 'Baby Don't Stop' Ten again and while I'm not opposed, it was far from his best look. 😕 'Birthday' Ten slapped so hard and tbh that song should have been promoted on this mini album as the title track but that's besides the point.

Honestly while I didn't hate Nightwalker at first it ranked really low for me overall but it's deffo grown on me. I should know by now not to doubt WayV. 😅 I was making fun of the slight falsetto from On My Youth and was SO convinced it ruined the song on my first listen. I have far too many streams of that song now in both versions. Same thing with Low Low and Kick Back tbh.

I think it's just the Ten effect. Boy opens his mouth and I listen. 😂 He's up to 103 songs that he's participated in and it doesn't matter what I'm doing, my brain is hyper-focused every time he opens mouth.

It's still funny to be that getting into WayV at first, Ten wasn't even the one I was focused on. It was Lucas at first bc my friend biased him, then Xiaojun took my attention, and finally Ten decided to get the wrecking ball to my brain.

I'm not even normally one for dance line either because I'm a whore for vocalists, but Ten is the only person I'll actively go out of my way to watch dance practice videos for. (Besides ateez but that was plot related) Like I already mentioned Birthday but the amount of views I have on both the MV and dance practice alone is too many to count. Ten just moves like water and has masterful control over his body and UGH IT'S SO GOOD. Have I gone out of my way to watch each and every video I can find of Ten dancing? Maybe.

Tbh I think the only person that can compete with Ten for my attention dance wise is The8 from Seventeen. I just really desperately want those two to collab. Like I know you two know each other, you were on the same show at one point and you share the dreamies on the weekend. Minghao is literally besties with Winwin please I need this for my mental health. I'll even take Jun too at this point, please Ten I'm begging! 😭 Am I still on my WayV and Seventeen agenda maybe.
