Bucky Barnes wasn't the most affectionate and nice person on earth. Always grumpy and with an attitude, didn’t like physical touch, and hated being vulnerable and soft. However, when you were alone in your room, he was a completely different man.

The only thing that he loved more than you, food, and old music was sleep. He hated it right after the Winter Soldier program was removed because of the violent and dark nightmares, but you were the solution to all of his problems.

He loved sleeping with you. On you, to be exact.

He accidentally discovered it once when he just threw himself onto your bed and somehow laid with his head on your stomach.

You didn't know why your boyfriend liked it so much, but since that day he always ended up on your stomach, your boobs, or between your thighs with hands wrapped around your body, and it was almost impossible to drag him away. You always ran your fingers through his fluffy hair in soothing motions to ease the tension in his body, and it worked every single time. Bucky slept like a baby in your arms.

Today he left early in the morning for training with Sam, but then he had a lot of paper work and something that needed to be done in the city, so you didn’t really talk to or see him. He only left a kiss on your forehead while you were still in bed and sent you a few messages throughout the day.

It was your day off, and you didn’t feel like doing anything special or being productive. So you brought a fluffy comforter from your bed, a cup of hot chocolate, and sat in the common room to watch a movie on a big ass screen that Tony bought to show off.

When the film almost ended and you were already kind of sleepy, you heard firm footsteps from the hall. The tall and big body was standing in the doorframe, but you didn’t see your boyfriend’s face yet; it was pretty dark in the room.

“Hey, baby, how was your day?” You paused your movie and squinted to see Bucky.

“Fucking amazing. A bunch of assholes and tons of reports that they sent me last minute.” He grumbled, coming closer to you. “Let’s go, I need my personal pillow or I won’t fall asleep.”

You tried to hold back a laugh when you finally saw his face. Tired and frowned with pouty lips like a child. Bucky was painfully cute when he was a little bit mad and annoyed, and you didn’t want to do anything more than pinch his cheeks and kiss all of his face.

“You look so cute, gosh.” You smiled, biting your lip. “But I have only... fifteen minutes of my movie left, and I really want to finish it today. Do you want to lay on me here for now?” You opened the covers and pointed at your belly.

Bucky stood there silently for a few seconds, still with a frown on his face.

“I don’t want these douchebags to see us here.”

“They won’t; Steve is on the mission, Natasha is already in her room, and Sam went on a date. C’mon, I’ll massage your head.” That was everything you needed to convince your boyfriend to give up. He took off his shoes and laid on top of you with his head on your stomach and hands around your waist.

You covered your bodies with a duvet and stroked his hair, brushing it over and over again with your fingers. You felt that Bucky pulled up your shirt a little bit, and as soon as his cheek met with your warm skin, he heavily sighted, finally feeling safe and calm.

“That's okay, baby.” You cooed, massaging his scalp. “Do you want to talk about your day? What made you upset?”

“No, just want to feel you, doll. Missed you so much.” He mumbled against your stomach and closed his eyes as your soft touches made his body almost melt into yours.

“I missed you too. I’ll just finish my film and we’ll go to sleep, ‘kay?” Bucky just slightly nodded, already feeling too sleepy to actually say something.

It didn’t take him too much time to fall asleep completely. Your gentle scratches and the way you rolled his hair around your finger, along with the muffled sound of the TV and soft cover on top of him, did their work, and Bucky was peacefully snoring on you in a span of a few seconds.

You weren’t much better than him; your eyes started closing as soon as the credit scene began, and you didn’t have enough power in you to resist it, especially when a giant, hot human pillow was sleeping on top of you.

So you just gave up.

The first thing that you heard when you woke up was mumbled talk and laughter. Your eyes snapped open because your brain completely forgot that you, in fact, weren’t in your room or bed.

The common room was filled with almost everyone. For fuck’s sake, when was the last time you saw that many Avengers together in one room? And now all of them were sitting on the other couches and armchairs, looking at you and laughing. Well, they weren’t looking at you; they were looking at Bucky, who was still glued to your body.

You quickly sat straight, now completely awake. The movements disturbed Bucky’s peaceful sleep, making him grumble and try to get you back under him.

“I didn’t know that Cyborgs could be so clingy.” The most annoying voice Bucky could’ve possibly heard in the morning filled his ears, and he lost every last piece of sleep in his body, sitting up on the couch.

“What the fuck are you doing here, Willson? All of you, in fact.” Bucky looked around the room, seeing Sam, Nat, Wanda, Tony, and Clint with shit-eating smirks on their faces; Thor, who looked just happy to be involved; and Steve and Bruce, who actually felt uncomfortable to be there.

“Sorry, Buck, they just...” Steve wanted to apologize but was disturbed by Tony.

“Sam just told all of us to come here a few minutes ago because he had something hilarious. And look! The strong and scary Winter Soldier is being a softie for his girlfriend.” Tony laughed, almost dropping his cup of coffee. You didn’t even expect that, but you felt a sudden wave of anger going through your body because you were already sick of everyone pushing Bucky’s buttons.

“Or maybe all of you should just mind your own business? You both would actually know something about Bucky if you tried anything besides making fun of him or trying to get him angry. You don’t even understand how fucking hard it is for him to communicate after everything that happened, and all of you are getting on my nerves. Just a bunch of children, I swear.” You growled, standing up and grabbing Bucky’s hand to drag him away.

Everyone was surprised by your words, and even Bucky looked at you with a weird expression on his face but still stood up, holding your hand.

“Sweets, it’s just a joke—” Natasha started.

“No, it’s not. I love you, Nat, I really do, but it’s not funny.” You looked around the room. “Y’all probably don’t understand the effect that your words have, but I see in private what none of you can. And when I tell you that your mockery and jokes make everything worse, I really mean it.” Bucky awkwardly shifted near you under all of the eyes that were glued to him. He felt exposed by the way everyone saw how he showed his affection to you and that he, in fact, was a really touchy and sensitive person. “C’mon, Buck, everything’s okay.” You looked back at him with your usual soft eyes, and his whole attention was now focused completely on you.

Everyone saw how Bucky’s body language changed when you talked to him, and even if someone like Tony or Sam couldn’t admit it out loud, the thought of being too harsh on Bucky appeared in their heads.

Without any further words, you lead your boyfriend out of the common room, leaving the Avengers in an awkward silence.

The comfort of your and Bucky’s shared room made you deeply inhale as soon as the door was closed behind you two. Before you could even say something, two strong hands wrapped around you from the back, and Bucky buried his face into your neck.

“Thank you, doll.” Your hand reached behind you to gently stroke Bucky's hair. “You didn’t have to do it, really. I got used to their words.” He squeezed you tighter, pressing his chest into your back.

“That’s not okay, baby. I’m sick of that. You may not say it to me or even admit it to yourself, but I see that it hurts you.” You turned around in his hands, placing your own on both sides of his face. “But that’s okay that you want to cuddle, to sleep on me, to be held. Really. There is nothing wrong with it. I’m really honored to be the person who is allowed to see your soft side.”

“I love you. Fuck, I love you so much, doll, you can’t even fucking imagine,” Bucky whispered before leaning forward to kiss you.

“I love you, James.”

“Can we stay here today? I don’t really want to talk with anyone besides my sweet and protective girl.” You couldn’t hold back your laughter at his teasing tone.

“Of course we can, Buck.” That was your last word before Bucky lifted you off the ground, put you on the soft blankets of your bed, and climbed on top of you, happily wrapping around your body and falling asleep.

ah, this guy

he's very lowkey about it but does try to make you feel better

more than anything he feels shocked to discover that you're insecure about your body

Hi! First of all, I want to say I really appreciate your videos - they have given us all such a newfound appreciation for minsung 😍

I have seen some theories floating around since the fan meeting about Lee Know and his friend who dressed as Leebit during the whole of the fanmeeting. We all know that Lee Know often jokes that people are his boyfriends (this friend, Han, even Hyunjin) so generally no one takes those comments seriously but some people have started wondering whether they are actually in a relationship and whether this is a soft launch of sorts (it seems the argument is that being in a mascot costume for hours over three days just seems like a lot for just a friend). It also would make sense Han knows him since Han (all things aside) is very close to LK. I’m curious whether you have any general views on this?

I have also always seen LK as the type to like to keep his personal emotions, feelings and life quite private. I have shipped Minsung for a while now but I am curious to hear from you what you think about the fact that they have become much more “obvious”/affectionate lately - do you think that could suggest they’re not actually in a relationship (since both LK and Han seem like the private type to me) or that it’s the company trying to push minsung or do you think something has changed that has made them more open to expressing themselves? I’m loving it personally but it was shy LK (the “do you like me in that way?” comment) that made me start shipping them so I guess I am just not sure what to do with the major escalation in minsung land over the past few months.

I’ve seen the discourse around the whole friend thing and I have to giggle. I think a lot of fans misunderstood what LK said when talking about his friend. He said that he was the friend that took “boyfriend” photos of him which is a common term that's used to describe how a photo is taken, not that he was the guy who he jokingly called “boyfriend” in the vlog to get a reaction out of Han. Idk if its the same friend though (unless anyone else here knows lmao).

And about them being “open” I think there’s a huge difference between stuff meant to get the audience hyped up (i.e: the teleprompter stuff at the Japan concerts) and them just naturally gravitating towards each other, interacting, or laughing together at something (which is like 90% of the their moments we got during the fanmeet, outside of their duet during the first day, the quick WSB performance, and maybe the sign that Han answered to). Other duos I say were more blatant about things during those three days (For ex. LK and CB playfully fighting over HJ, 2min’s antics on stage, FeIix/LK almost kissing eo on stage, etc.)

I think many fans underestimate how private they actually are together. It’s just that every moment of theirs gets hyped up since they’re a popular duo, even if other duos are much more (open?) about things (i.e: JiIix pretending to kiss eo, CB playfully flirting with HJ all the time).

The members have said it during the 2022 kids room that they’re generally secretive about their bond and we see that even more in recent times. Remember when they went to France a couple of months back and fans saw each duo spend time together in their spare time? (The Maknaes, HyunIix, LK/Han, Chan/Changbin?) and then a week or so later we literally got a SKZ TaIker of vlogs of EVERY duo except LK/Han. The only thing we got was Han verbally saying that they spent time together.

And then there’s the 2kids show episode where they were very visibly nervous (during the first half especially), they would downplay their bond like, “I don’t know this guy!” “We don’t pay attention to eo!” “The only time we hang out is when the fans see us!” and LK quickly fumbling over the whole we don’t need to sneak out thing, etc. (before they eventually loosen up a bit and contradict themselves on some things). I think a lot of things from that episode cemented them being private about things. Cause if it was all jokes and sayings to get the fans hyped up I don’t think they would have been nervous at all. They would freely joke about things like FeIix/CB did, for example.

Outside of the stage (where all of the members seem to visibly relax and have fun), they seem very “gatekeepy” about a lot of things they do together, especially in recent times, compared to prior years.

Personal opinion: I also think because other members/duos are very visibly affectionate on camera (some even more than LK/Han) and have been so since forever, that would probably make them feel more comfortable to be so as well.

synopsis… kunigami comes home after being in blue lock for a hot minute and isn’t the same. 0.8k words

note… was catching up with blue lock and kunigami is pissing me off especially bc he’s just not the same :$ this was wrote on impulse at 2am so yea…

Your phone shouldn’t be this dry.

I mean, it was never dry when Kunigami was home.

After Kunigami left for blue lock, you were living a pretty boring life. It was the same as it was before, just without your big oaf clinging to you wherever you went. But a little birdie— also known as Kunigami’s older sister— sent you a text that Kunigami had finally come home for a break. Excited, you wanted to ask if you could come over, but quickly learned that something about him had changed.

You waited. Waited for days for a text from your boyfriend saying that he wanted to meet up to talk, play a game, to catch up, anything really. Yeah, something was wrong. Your usually affectionate boyfriend wasn’t texting you at all. Sure, he was a bit shy in the relationship, but he would never neglect your feelings like this. He’s supposed to be taking this time off to get a break from soccer, so why weren’t you on the list of things he’d want to be with?

You didn’t like it. You didn’t like waiting, and you for sure as hell didn’t like being an afterthought. If he truly forgot about you, you wanted to know now. And if he did, this relationship was over.

Without thinking it over, you made your way to Kunigami’s house, knocked on the door, and waited for a response.

The door swung open, and there stood your very different boyfriend. Appearance wise, he looked pretty much the same, except terrible bags were layered under his eyes and his hair was more tousled than usual. What caught your attention was his expression; he looked displeased, as if whatever he was looking at fulfilled his meter bar of boredom.

“What?”

Immediately, you felt your face morphing into a scowl. You were upset, angry, and even embarrassed that you pushed yourself to come over just to greet him. You hadn’t seen your boyfriend in months and this is how he greets you?

“What? Oh, so I just don’t exist anymore? Is this what this is?” You spat, crossing your arms. Kunigami scoffs and rolls his eyes before taking a step back and tries to shut the door. You stop the door before he could close it and invited yourself in, shutting the door behind you.

“I don’t appreciate the attitude, soccer superhero.”

“Don’t call me that lame ass fucking name, it pisses me off,” chided Kunigami. You clicked your tongue.

“Listen, I don’t know what the hell happened in Blue Lock over there, but don’t bring whatever nasty resentment you have back here because I won’t fucking stand for it,” you warned with a piercing glare.

It was subtle, but you could’ve sworn you saw him gulp. You’ve never been this mad before, and more importantly, you’d never been mad at him. He has listened to both his sisters complain about their past relationships and the things their significant others did wrong, so he always made sure he did the right thing and made up for the things he did wrong. His little personality change was not working on you and he wasn’t too sure how to react. Panic flashed over Kunigami’s face and you could almost see the cogs moving above his head. What was he thinking about? You didn’t have time to wait.

“Look, I just came home and all I wanna do is rest a little before going back to that hell hole. I don’t want to deal with you right now so just go back—,”

You placed a finger on Kunigami’s chest and took a step closer to him. He took a step back as you said, “If I go back home right now, just delete my number off your phone.”

“I—,”

“Tell me. Tell me you want me to go home.”

You waited. Waited for an answer.

“I— no. Don’t go, please,” Kunigami said after what felt like an eternity.

You took in a deep breath and dropped your hand, letting your head rest on Kunigami.

“I did not like getting mad at you, Ren,” you said softly. Kunigami wrapped his arms around you tightly, almost as if he was afraid you’d run away.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have let my stress get the best of me and I shouldn’t have tried to take it out on you,” Kunigami apologized.

“It’s okay, just remember that you can talk to me about anything. You can rant, cry, whatever, but don’t try to act like someone else around me.”

Kunigami snorted, “I don’t cry.”

“Yea yea, big boy. Just tell me what happened and I’ll listen.”

Stone Ocean: the two versions of universe reset & jolysui/irekiss

Just this month, Stone Ocean anime has ended. Suddenly I want to discuss how universe reset actually works and a little bit about jolysui & irekiss.

First, about Pucci’s version of universe reset. The first time Emporio woke up in GDst prison, he saw a new version of Jotaro and Jolyne.

SO chapter 156: Made In Heaven – part 8

This version of ‘Jotaro’ and ‘Jolyne’ have similar fashion style, with minor alteration. But it could be seen that their face (and possibly their voice too) was different. So, Emporio saw them as different people, but let's say that they were roughly like people cosplaying as Jotaro and Jolyne.

Not only about the costumes, but also their role. Let's refer to them as Kunō Nōtaro and Jocelyn (for fun LOL), and that this Jocelyn also being incarcerated and has daddy issue like Jolyne.

So we are like back to the beginning of Stone Ocean (chapter 11 onwards), but since Jotaro, Jolyne and the likes did not survive the acceleration, they were gone and got replaced with Notaro and Jocelyn. It is also said that their soul and personality have been erased, in this case we don’t really see the personality of Notaro and Jocelyn, so this explanation is a bit ambiguous. However, Notaro and Jocelyn are clearly different people from Jotaro and Jolyne (based on appearance alone), but living their life.

Also, why we went back to chapter 11 and not chapter 1 in first reset? Because Jolyne’s first enemy under Pucci was Johngalli A., and the arc started on chapter 11. Gwess is the only enemy in Stone Ocean who had nothing to do with Pucci.

SO chapter 158: What A Wonderful World

Next, in second version of universe reset when Pucci got erased instead, Emporio met the new version of Jolyne’s gang. Based on face alone, they are all the same persons. But here they live a different life than in previous world (a world where they have bizarre adventured with Emporio). In this case, we can see that they were all never incarcerated in GDst.

And besides that they also have different identities, like Anakiss instead of Anasui and Irene instead of Jolyne. Is it possible that the actual names of Notaro and Jocelyn were previously Jotaro and Jolyne? Idk. But through the name change of Anasui and Jolyne, it shows that they have a completely different life than before.

Another interesting thing is their different style of dress. Particularly between Anasui and Anakiss, while the former dressed like a stripper, the latter is being modest. Wiki page said that the dead is still being replaced, but replacement in this second reset is clearly different from the first.

And in one of my old posts (!part 8 spoilers), I have mentioned how Irene’s personality feels different from Jolyne, as Jolyne is more tomboyish like her father whereas Irene is more gentle and affectionate like her grandma. -> skip to “Regarding Jolyne and Irene” and stop at “they might show them differently”.

So the breakdown is roughly like this:

Now, I’d like to talk about jolysui and irekiss.

In original universe, mostly it was treated like a gag and one-sided. But surprisingly, in second reset, they are dating and about to get married as irekiss.

However, near the end of Stone Ocean, during the climactic battle against 「Made in Heaven」, some time after Anasui proposed to Jolyne through her father Jotaro, Jolyne accepted it (much to her father’s shock lol).

Because just after Anasui said 「徐倫に結婚でも申し込むとするかな！」” Jōrin ni kekkon demo moushikomu to suru kana!” which roughly means “then maybe I’ll ask Jolyne to marry me”...

Jolyne said “yes” and indeed what she meant was about 「申し込む」”moushikomu” and it means:

To be honest, initially I did not believe this scene, because I did not recall having this in the manga. I thought this was an extra/improvisation scene in the anime. But after I checked again, it was the English translation of the manga version that made it sound more ambiguous.

SO chapter 153: Made In Heaven – part 5

Sometimes, there are few translation errors in English version, however I don’t think this one is the case.

Just “ask me” is not wrong, it directly translated to the “moushikomu” one, as marriage in Japanese is “kekkon”. However, it is Jolyne's dialogue afterwards that makes the nuances in this scene difficult to comprehend.

Even though she accepted Anasui's proposal, Jolyne hardly looked like someone being in love with Anasui.

“I’m not saying this because I’m not despairing over this situation” later she was talking about “hope” and “path”, that’s how I misinterpreted it that she was talking about Anasui's plan in defeating Pucci and their probability to win, akin to another gag that she was being oblivious with his courting. Especially prior to that, something like this happened:

SO chapter 151: Made In Heaven – part 3

Just after Anasui's asking about marriage to Jotaro, Jolyne kind of reacted to it, only for her to talk about how to fight Pucci, made me as a reader thought: “OMG, she assured him that she is into it!” -> “oh, it is about the fight”.

And back on how I think that she did not look like someone being in love, I expected that she said something like “because whenever I'm with you, I feel comfort in my heart”, it’s cheesy yeah… but it will spare me from misunderstanding (lmao).

At least, if I was more attentive, Jotaro's reacting to her words is totally made sense now (lol).Tbh, seeing his reaction, I'm not sure he would approve it. After all, Anasui is still a criminal & murderer. However, things can be different with Anakiss, because like I said before, he got different life.

So now I can understand why irekiss happened, because jolysui was about to happen if only they survived. But personally, I’m still not a fan of jolysui, they really lack chemistry (in contrast to josuyasu/yasugap, my OTP). Jolysui has been treated as a gag until suddenly it became possible. It’s like a reversal role in old Shōnen trope when the girl constantly being in love with MC but MC being oblivious, yet the ending have them tied the knot (famous example is Goku-Chichi in Dragon Ball). But yeah, irekiss is canon and I simply accept it.

Steven is the most calm out of Jake and Marc, but that's more like being the smartest guy on the football team

It's a really low bar to meet

Steven tries to be understanding in every situation he's in, truly

His mindset is 'you never know what someone's going through' and he takes it to heart

But this?

He finds it very hard to be understanding

He doesn't even want you here, but he let you through the front door, so it must mean something right?

After explaining in full enough detail as to why you did what you did, Steven is silent

Eerily silent

It feels like the silence in a horror movie before a monster jumps out

This is the part where I could say 'and one did, Jake starts yelling at you' but that's not what happens

Steven starts yelling at you

He starts yelling at you in a way you've only ever seen Marc or Jake do

And it was never directed at you before

It scares you

Steven is so irate, he doesn't notice you shrinking in on yourself

But if he did, I don't think he'd care

Not anymore

"You led us on, you led me on, for years! You made me think I deserved kindness, happiness, love, just to drop me and make me feel like I was worth nothing! I'm sorry you went through so much and I'm sorry you're still dealing with it, but Gods! That doesn't give you the right to completely toy with us and leave when you feel trapped! You're supposed to talk to us about it! Or at least text me if you didn't want to say anything!"

"We could've worked it out. We could've... We were married. That means you at least cared about us a little, right?"

Steven's anger eventually dies and fades into depression and heartbreak

At this moment he wishes you never showed up, never tried to fix anything

He was content with walking through life, blaming himself and thinking you were an angel that got stuck with an annoying gremlin

Cause how could you do any wrong?

Steven asks you to leave, barely above a whisper

If you don't move, he will

He'll lock himself in his room until you do

You may have thought you were helping, that you were easing his confusion and pain

You were wrong

All you did was set in motion another depressive episode and make Steven feel like the worst husband

He thinks, just for a second, that he must've been so terrible at comforting you and letting you know that he was there for you

And a second is all it takes for Steven to believe it

Marc

He starts laughing

Like, maniacal laughing

"You think you can just walk in here and give me some sorry ass excuse?"

"You married us, knowing you couldn't handle it, you married us! You stood at the alter, said vows you took the time to write, said yes after having the chance of leaving, and waited months after to say you didn't want this anymore?"

"Are you fucking kidding me?!"

Unlike Steven, Marc's rage doesn't settle into depression

It sits and festers until the moment you leave

He doesn't turn violent like Jake, but he looks seconds away from destroying the apartment

Even if you manage to explain further through Marc's yelling, it doesn't register that you were in pain or suffering

It doesn't even register that your slinking away in fear at the growing redness of Marc's face

"Why'd you even come here?! To make shit worse?!"

"Of course not! I thought-"

"You've already practically killed Steven! Did you come back to finish us off?"

"No! I was trying to-"

"I can't believe I trusted you! I-"

Marc cuts himself off, digging his palms into his eyes and sniffling

He's crying

Whether in anger, frustration, sadness, or all three, it doesn't matter

He's breaking down right in front of you and you know he must truly be broken to show such vulnerability in front of someone he hates

He yells at you to leave, to leave and never come back

Don't look at him, don't breathe next to him, don't even think about him

And don't ever, ever, try to call Steven

Marc will not hesitate to visit you in his suit

That's a lie, he'd never do that

Even now, after all the pain you caused him, he could never hurt you

Once you finally leave with Marc in tears, he finally falls to the floor and cries

He cries for hours and hours, unable to move or stop

He yells into his hands in agony and frustration

Why did nothing go right for him?

Was he cursed?

Doomed to never have a happy ending?

Your visit didn't help anyone or anything

You should've stayed home

Jake

Absolutely furious

Nothing can calm him down, Steven and Marc have no chance of forcing him into the head space if they tried (though it's not like they want to)

He doesn't let you in, but he walks around the apartment, yelling at you

No, not yelling

Screaming

He can't step back and think about your explanation, what is means and how it ties into your relationship

Lord help his neighbors because he will definitely throw something

Not at you, never at you

He may think he's a monster, willing to cross almost any line to fulfill his mission, but hurting you is one of the few strict lines he will never cross

He will throw things around you, slamming a lamp into the wall, throwing glass onto the floor

And while he is enraged, he's not blind

He sees his effect on you, how scared you look at him

And he thinks 'finally. finally I see how you really feel about me'

Tears remain in his eyes, not willing to fall and give you the satisfaction

He continues yelling and throwing things, hoping to scare you away

And it works

And when he's finally alone, he dissolves into sobs

He doesn't care who might walk past the open door and see him

He just cries and cries

He can't maintain the energy of being mad as much as he wants to

He may be able to do that in front of Steven and Marc, but the second he saw your face

All he wanted to do was bury his face in your neck and hold you

Apologize for his wrong doings and pray you would at least talk to him

But seeing how Steven and Marc dealt with your absence

And seeing how much you managed to wiggle into his heart before destroying it

He couldn't allow his feelings to control his mind

His top priority has always been, and will continue to be Steven and Marc

And he's willing to sacrifice everything to ensure they're safe

They're happy

And you took away their happiness

You will never be allowed in their apartment again, let alone their hearts

Jake will make sure of it

You will regret visiting

One day, everything is going to come full circle

And Jake isn't afraid of the man he might become to get the closure his brothers deserve

howdy howdy (: I was wondering, because I didn't see it in my (admittedly cursory) search, and wanted to know if you folks have insight or headcannons about the timelines of Isshin and Kaien, since the timelines of bleach hurt my head (affectionate). Like, who died/went MIA first, if they would have been captain/vice captain at the same time, etc. I wondered if Matsumoto might have been a VC for a least a brief time while Kaien was, too? Idk, I think it'd be cute if Rukia had a little Shiba Connection with squad 10. I just find the six degrees of separation in osul society very fun to think about haha. Maybe it was Kaien who first crashed on the squad 10 couch during fillers to hang w his uncle, idk! (or maybe they didn't know eachother at all. I don't remember if it was ever mentioned...)

I feel ya about the Bleach timelines making your head hurt. I try not to think about them too hard, because they don’t make sense. I’ve just accepted that Shiba stuff happened in the *hand wavy* past. And that’s all we really need to know for the Bleach that’s presented to us. However, it is an interesting exercise to see how the vagueness of the timeline(s) can work out in fanfic. I’ve seen people put Kaien’s death AFTER Isshin had already disappeared and that legit had never occurred to me. I also feel like even in the Gotei’s culture of not talking about anything, if Kaien had only died when Isshin went missing, which was relatively recently by Soul Society standards, more people might mention him in at least passing.

Personally, I’d always assumed that Kaien’s death happened relatively early in Rukia’s tenure in the 13th. Like, maybe 10-15yrs after Rukia started? Kaien had to spend all that time training her and whatnot, since she graduated early from the Academy and only had Kuchiki-Kumon for an education. He needed to give her all that applied on-the-job training! I recognize that if Kaien died that early on, it would be a long time for a division to go without a VC but I feel like Ukitake would do that, and he’d get away with it because he’s Ukitake. I also buy the idea of Rukia having to mourn this guy for double the time she knew him (if we’re assuming that it’s been 40 years since Rukia left the Academy and our story starts).

Also if Kaien died really early on in Rukia’s time with the Gotei 13, I think it would explain why she feels so isolated from everyone. She didn’t have any companionship for a long long time, since Kaien was her only friend. If he died recently I think she’d be slightly better adjusted LOL. There’s no way he wouldn’t have dragged her out to make friends in 30+ years of working together. I recognize there’s a deep irony of “if the death were MORE recent Rukia would be better adjusted in the canon timeline” but you know it’s true. Kaien just gives the impression of being someone who was very briefly really great for Rukia and then torn abruptly away.

Plus if Kiyone took Rukia to her first living world mission… lmao Kaien would have to have been so dead at that point.

Side note: I also kinda feel like Isshin and Kaien didn’t know each other that well. Like, they knew of each other as cousin-uncle-whatever but weren’t besties even though they both worked in the Gotei. I got the feeling that Isshin also wasn’t a captain for too long before he went MIA, so he was probably toiling in the numbered ranks while Kaien was a VC. Kaien was the Shiba golden boy after all! And no one talks about Isshin that way LOL. I do love the six degrees of separation in Soul Society though, so maybe there are more juicy connections to uncover.

I like being a Pisces sun tbh but I barely attract any and when I do chances are we don’t get along. Especially with females, it happens every time.🤌🏽😭 Tbh I used to put my father on pedestal from a young age but just recently came to the realization that he was actually the root of my problems.🥴

I literally feel like I live in one of those Wattpad stories where the girl was raised by her single mother who’s always working then moved in with her dad and his new family when she was a pre-teen then started being psychologically & emotionally abused at home and the dad knew about it but wasn’t doing anything about it and then the girl moves in with her mother a few years later and a few months after the father dies of an illness and the stepmother inherits everything.💀 No I’m jk that’s my own story irl.🥲

I, for one, feel it's disrespectful to discuss TZ's sex life. What they do in public or what is shared on a public forum is fair game for discussion, but their private intimate moments are off limits imo. Other than simple public affectionate gestures and the pap pics of passionate kisses in their vehicle, we are not privy to their intimate life. And rightfully so. Knowing how TZ felt about those pap pics, and knowing they keep their relationship sacred, I feel extremely uncomfortable discussing and/or speculating about their more intimate moments.

First of all, thank you so much Anon for your confession. 🙂 As you know, today is a judgment-free zone when you send things in for confession corner lol. I actually appreciate you bringing this topic up, because I don't think this really gets talked about enough in the Tomdaya fandom tbh. 👀

Before I dive in, I'll just put out a ***disclaimer*** and say that my opinions and feelings on this topic are just MY personal feelings, so you all don't have to agree. 🤷🏾‍♀️

With that said, I'll just say that I actually agree with you 100% on this. 👏🏾 I think maybe in years past I didn't really see the "big deal" about speculating about, or openly discussing assumptions about Tom and Z's sex life (just harmless fun, right?), but as time went on, I started noticing that SOME fans in the fandom seemed to have a bit of a fixation about what Tom and Z's sex like must be like in the bedroom (even being graphic about it 🥴), and I just started to get a bit creeped out by that... no offense. 🥴😬👀

I agree that there's definitely a very fine line btwn fans finding a couple adorable and cute 🥰, vs fans conjuring up multiple wattpad-level fanfics about Tom and Zendaya's bedroom behavior, and no offense, but to me, the latter is just kind weird. 😵‍💫

I don't really like speculating about ANY celebrity's sex life (obviously, we KNOW they ALL have sex 😅) in great detail like that. Even small jokes can be a bit weird. It's like, you don't know them!

Plus, I find ppl to be a little WEIRD just in general when it comes to Tom and Z and sex just period. From the fans/trolls who think Z is "cheating" on Tom anytime she interacts in a romantic scene with any of her male co-stars🙄, to male fans making weird, sexually-explicit gay manips of Tom in his Spider-man/Peter Parker character (or just Tom himself).... idk... it's just really gross and weird to me, I'm sorry. 😞 They've been doing this stuff for years! Even when Tom was like 21. 🥴

Believe me, after 6 years in this fandom, I've definitely seen some things lol. 😵‍💫

I can't police what other ppl discuss or choose to post on THEIR blogs (nor would I ever want to 🥴), but I just know that for me on my blog, I usually try to be relatively respectful of TZ and their rlshp, and I think we pretty much keep it fairly PG-13 in here when it comes to stuff like that lol. They seem like such a sweet couple 🥰 that just wants to be private, and so I usually try not to go down the rabbit hole of their "intimate" life, or make any assumptions, cuz the truth of the matter is, we just don't know a SINGLE THING! 🤷🏾‍♀️

All we can say is that they seem extremely happy, and just leave it at that lol 😅

But anything beyond that is just speculation, and I guarantee you, their real life intimate details are probably not even as "exciting" as fans make it out to be anyway rofl 🤣 That's the problem with fanfics lol... They put out this idea about a person that might not even be true! 👀

Idk, maybe it's just me, but I agree with you.... speculating about anyone's (celebrity or NOT) intimate sex life is just kinda gross to me, and is kind of crossing a very fine line imo. 👀😬

I just love TZ together, and I think that over the years (especially after they got outed) I've just gained so much more RESPECT for them, and I just feel kind of protective over them in a way, ykwim? ❤️

Oh boy. I don't really follow actor drama. Or I try not to. And I kinda don’t want do this, but I guess I should do a sort of official statement thingy. Since this fun silly side blog of mine has sort of gotten bloated and out of my control.

In general, I think it's difficult to understand any celebrity's actual feelings on anything.

Sometimes it may not be safe for them to express their true opinion, because of image, brand, business, studio, agency, management, or family concerns or constraints. They may be more supportive or less supportive than we will ever know. Anything that approaches bullying is going to be even more complex because there are so many elements, perspectives, and entities involved. (Although I will always side with the victim.)

With regards to interview, vlog, or variety show missteps and misspeaks, a lot of BL actors are BABIES, like so young. Tell me you didn't make a stupid fucking idiot statement when you were in your late teens and early 20s. Well, you CAN tell me you didn't, but I won't believe you. I certainly did. I was a pretty lousy human for a while. Queer af but still lousy.

And a bunch of queers from other countries jumping in and attacking is surely going to change baby boy’s tiny mind... right? Yeah, no. No, it’s not. Multiple studies have shown that attacking someone only drives them into a corner and hardens their sentiments.

Honestly? I don't think it's ever a good idea to make a hero out of an actor... they are, after all, ACTORS. I mean, come on, you must have meet some of the breed?

Make a hero of the BL character he portrayed, certainly! But not the actor for goodness sake. He’s only an actor, after all.

Celebrity turns people... odd. Or maybe it's just that the type of personality that seeks celebrity is innately suspicious? At least to this curmudgeonly introvert. (The fact that I all too often end up dating the fuckers is my terrible judgement and wicked bad taste.)

Where was I?

In most of these cases netizens take everything out of context, or at the very least hugely exaggerate. People pick camps. Yes there are certainly bad apples, but I think about this with kpop a lot, sometimes it's all shades of grey and no celebrity is as evil, or as good, as we want them to be. They're mostly just gloriously shiny narcissistic pricks (affectionate).

Particularly with something like homophobia, the context of identity (or identity erasure or abuse) is very culture specific. With BL we are often talking about places where, until recently, they didn’t even have a word for gay. I don't like to get outraged in general, it's exhausting. But to get outraged about something that some pretty kid said or did, in a language I don't speak, born and raised in a culture I did not grow up in, to a family dynamic I cannot comprehend?

It seems like, considering all the grey areas, I am not really equip to judge.

It's not the same thing, but I'm a long time melody and I often think about what happened to Ilhoon. As an outsider what he went through seems absolutely insane. But I've never lived in South Korea. What the hell do I know? I can only make a judgement call from my safe little nest where (currently) weed is legal and has been for ages. I guess, at the very least being in Kpop should have taught Ilhoon how to be careful enough not to get caught?

And I guess that's were I do judge.

If the actor is homophobic (by any standards), and acts in BLs, at the very least he shouldn't have gotten his tiny hypocritical arse caught out, now should he? Tut tut on the brand management, fella. Practice a little circumspection.

Mostly when one of these stories crosses my radar I just feel sad. And I don't wanna feel that way around BL (or Kpop for that matter), so I try not to even register it's happening.

There are major cultural issues in play here, and when this kind of thing happens to an idol on the streets of Seoul, I’d venture to say, there’s society wide systemic problems at the root of of this kind of homophobia, that the homophobe’s are manifesting - like symptoms of a disease. Sure you can treat the pox (with a damp wet white towel, perhaps?), but darlings don’t you think it’s about time we developed a vaccine? (And maybe I think that’s kinda what BL and pop culture can do to culture, if it gets normalized enough.)

But currently, with these homophobic incidents? We all lose, and we are all to be pitied because of it.

I love BL because it leads with love, and that’s the best I can practice at this point in my life. Try to talk more about positive BL dramas and less about negative BL actor drama. Try to be a little more loving and a little less outraged.
