Lily Evans x whimsical!reader ♡ 916 words
You recognize the sound of Lily’s footfalls thumping dully on the dusty floors, so you don’t jump when a figure sits down beside you.
“Did you buy whiskey?” she asks. “You don’t even like whiskey.”
“It’s not for me.”
Your girlfriend hums, shuffling closer so her thigh is pressed against your knee where you have your legs crossed underneath you on the floor. In front of you is your candle, the flame flickering steadily, and your offering of the bottle of whiskey. Otherwise, the room is empty. “If you keep coming in here, eventually Michael’s going to figure it out and he’ll get a real lock put on the door.”
Michael is your landlord, of whom Lily is constantly wary because his first course of action is always threatening to kick tenants out (though as far as you know, he’s never actually done it).
“True,” you reply, “but don’t you think he’d appreciate it if I got the presence up here to quiet down? No one’s going to move in if it keeps making so much ruckus.”
Shortly after the last tenants had moved out, you’d started hearing noises in the unit above yours. Sometimes it’s a light clicking, sometimes a louder thump like something’s fallen, but every time you’ve come up here to check there’s been no evidence of things having moved around. The natural conclusion is that there’s been some disturbance in the spirit world that’s resulted in a new presence squatting here, and you like to make friends with your neighbors.
You know Lily’s a bit dubious of your theory, but your beliefs often differ from hers. She’s never made you feel like yours are any less valid.
“Are you sure that making friends with the ghost won’t make it more inclined to make more noise?” she asks.
“Mm, maybe,” you muse, “but I’d like to think that if they like me well enough, they’ll listen if I ask them to keep it down. At least at night, you know?”
Lily smiles, and the room warms in response. “Worth a try,” she agrees. “How long do you think you’re going to be tied up for? Dinner’s almost ready.”
“Not much longer. As soon as the candle burns out I just have to look at the shapes in the wax, and then I can go.”
“We’re going to have to clean up the wax stains before Michael discovers them too.” She leans over to kiss the side of your head, the soft curtain of her hair falling across your cheek, before sitting back on her heels and straightening up. “Alright, love, come down when you’re done.”
You hum in response, listening to the comforting cadence of her footsteps as they leave. But then there’s another sound with them. A quiet clicking.
You inhale softly as the flame of your candle flares slightly. “It’s here,” you breathe. “It’s listening.” Lily pauses in the doorway, and you clear your throat, trying to affect your voice to be calm and welcoming. “Hello? Can you communicate with us?”
The clicking continues. You think—hope, maybe—that it might be growing louder, but it’s difficult to say.
“Hello?” you try again. “We’re friendly, please don’t be afraid.”
“Sweetheart, I’m not sure…” Lily takes a few steps toward you, a bemused furrow between her brows. “It sounds like it’s coming from in there.”
She starts down the hall, and you follow hastily. She stops in front of a closed bedroom door, reaching behind her to grasp your arm cautiously. The clicking does sound louder here. Lily edges the door open quietly, peering inside.
“Oh.” The syllable stretches as if drawn out from between her lips, sweet as spun sugar. “Hello, darling.”
She lets the door fall the rest of the way open, dropping into a crouch. Over her, you can see the empty, dusty room, rich light from the setting sun streaming through the windows, and a small white kitten frozen warily in the middle of the floor.
Lily reaches out a hand, making quiet little tsking noises with her tongue, but you step right over her and gather the kitten in your arms.
“Hi there,” you say. “Is it you making ruckus every night?”
Lily laughs, rising from her crouch to come stand by your shoulder. “It’s so unfair how they always come to you,” she complains fondly. “I try so hard.”
You hum noncommittally. It’s true, animals love you. You scratch the side of the kitten’s face, smiling when it purrs.
Your girlfriend smiles too. “So you’re our ghost, hm?” she coos, stroking a knuckle down its belly. “Sorry you didn’t get your chance to make friends with someone from the afterlife, sweetheart.”
“That’s alright,” you say. “This may be more rewarding anyway. You can’t pet ghosts.”
Lily laughs, dropping a kiss on your shoulder. “No, I don’t suppose you can. Do you want to keep her?”
You look at her in surprise. “Could we? Michael wouldn’t be happy.”
She shrugs a shoulder, green eyes flashing with challenge. “There are some things worth incurring Michael’s wrath, I think.”
You beam, looking down at the nearly sleeping kitten cradled in your arm. “Yeah.”
“Come on.” Lily gives you a nudge, starting back out into the hall. “Our dinner’s going to burn, and I think we have tuna in the pantry to hold this one over until we can get to the store.”
“Can we name her Ghost?” you ask, following her out.
“Oh, I don’t think we have a choice.”

I think I like you (I hope you do too)
Lily Evans x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: first fic!!! pls be kind :) the title is from your text by sundial.
c/w: die joke, swearing. (lmk if i missed something)
You stared at the man with undisguised incredulity. “800 pounds? Are you kidding me? I thought we agreed on 500?” Trevor - or perhaps Troy rolled his eyes at you derisively. He probably thought he was being subtle - that stupid prick.
“It's just how it is, Miss. Moving stuff inside the 'ouse? Well, that's gonna cost you a bit extra, innit? Wouldn't want you gettin' in over your 'ead now, would we?" he jeered at you. His twin, Trevor, you identified from his tag, snickered stupidly at that. The universe was really testing your patience today.
"Seriously? It would've been decent to tell me upfront that moving stuff indoors meant extra charges. This is ridiculous." Trevor turned to you then, all six feet of him tensed and towering over you. "Miss, it ain't on us. You got a problem with it, you take it up with the higher ups. Give us our dosh, we've got other bits to be getting on with." With a sigh you handed over the cash, regretting the choice of passing on your friends’ offers to help you with the move.
With another sigh, you turned back to the big mess in front of you, your hands resting on your hips, visibly expressing the exhaustion you were already feeling. This had seemed like such an exciting idea at first, having your own space all to yourself. The independence and freedom that you had anticipated was certainly there and you were definitely feeling it now. Having to arrange all this furniture by yourself …… very exciting.
You let out a third sigh and felt the weariness seep into your bones. This was going to be a very long day. You took a step toward the covered couch - ready to begin settling into this new place, which would hopefully become your home.
Suddenly, you were ambushed by a lasso which was thrown at your legs with murderous intent. The lasso then purred and you died ….. due to the lasso’s cuteness. “Hello, kitty! Oh, you’re so precious”, you cooed. The cat (not lasso) meowed up at you, rubbing against your shins. “What’s your name, buddy?” you murmured softly, picking it up and settling it in your arms. The only response you received was another meow, and a curious paw on your face. Noticing your open door, you walked towards it, all the while, gently scratching the cat behind its ears. “You seem like such a distinguished member of the society. Oh, is that where you came from?” you wondered to yourself, noticing another open door down the hallway. “And you’re my new neighbour too, it’s so sweet of you to welcome me like that, kitty.” you giggled, shutting your door carefully.  “Let's get you back to your owner, shall we?” You walked up to the threshold of your neighbour’s house and knocked on the open door.
Just then, ‘Kitty’, as you had begun to call the cat in your head, jumped down from your arms and ran inside — towards the kitchen, you assumed. Standing on your neighbour’s doorstep awkwardly with no apparent reason was definitely not on your agenda for the day but before you could say or do anything, a figure emerged from said kitchen, you assumed again. Following that, your heart skipped around five or at least two beats.
Standing in front of you was probably the most gorgeous woman you had ever seen. Her red curls were tied up in a top bun and there was a smudge of flour across her left cheek. And she was saying something — to you. “— hall?” She asked, with a curious gaze fixed on you.
“Huh? Sorry — I didn’t hear that, I was - I was thinking something else, sorry” you felt heat rise to your cheeks.
At this, a teasing smile spread on her lips. She replied with a playful lilt to her tone "I said, I hope Crookshanks didn't give you any grief, darlin', and I was wonderin' if you're the new neighbour down the hall."
“Oh yes, I am.’’ you replied hurriedly. “I’m in 403. Which you probably already know, cus' of all the noise.” Then you registered her previous statement. “Oh, wait — his name is Crookshanks? That’s such a cute name! How old is he?”
“He’s four!” she replied eagerly. “He’s Himalayan. And I’m Lily Evans. What’s your name, love?” she asked, walking up to you.
It was so hard not to stare at her — she was radiant, and you realised with a start that your palms were sweaty as hell. Quickly wiping them on the back of your thighs, you extended your right hand forward as you told her your name — mostly so that you would have something to do with them, but also because she was just so pretty. Although you didn’t want to be a creep, her hands looked so soft. You realised too late that they also looked dusty. The apologetic smile on her face just made you want to cringe even more.
"I'm terribly sorry. I was actually just whipping up some cookie dough for your welcome biscuits. Seems I've spoiled the surprise, haven't I? But I do hope you're rather fond of chocolate chip! It's one of my specialties, you know." she winked.
In your opinion, if you fainted, at that moment, it would be completely valid. The little nicknames, the supposed flirting (you hoped), and that wink? It was a surprise you were still standing straight. It took you a few seconds to find your voice again. “Oh, you didn’t have to, you know? But also thanks a lot. Crookshanks and his owner both definitely know how to give a warm welcome.” That was brave. And also slightly lame, in your opinion. But it seemed to have its desired effect or so you thought, judging by the slight twinkle in Lily’s eyes. Her body language shifted. She leaned in a bit closer and hummed playfully. "Looks like I owe thanks to my mate for leaving the door ajar as he left. Annoying as bloody hell, but it seems to have finally come in handy."
You quirked a smile at that, hoping her close proximity didn’t mean she could feel the heat emanating off of your face. “Looks like you do, I guess. Anyway, I should get going. I’ve still got a shit ton of stuff to do and not enough time. I’ll see you — and Crookshanks, later though?” Judging by the way her smile seemed to soften around the edges, she definitely caught the hopeful tone at the end of your sentence. “Yes, you will. Fancy joining me for dinner tonight? I'm not exactly a master chef, but I reckon the gas ain't sorted yet at your place, love.” this time, her tone was quieter and she was looking directly into your eyes with a small smile. You shifted your weight to the other leg and looked to the floor, considering it. Was this a date? You desperately wanted it to be, but what if something went wrong? Then you would have to live next to her with that and it would be awkward as hell. Looking back up at her, you saw that she was waiting patiently for you to respond, and you decided to give it a shot. What will happen, will happen, right?
“Sure.” you replied, hoping your voice didn’t betray the conflict you had felt. “I’d love that.” She smiled brightly and clapped her hands together, leading to a small cloud of flour enveloping the both of you. At that she grinned sheepishly and whispered “Sorry.” Guess you weren’t the only nervous one, after all."I'll see you after you're done with work, love. Just give me a shout, yeah? I’ll be waitin’."
And with that, you left for your own flat, and the big mess that awaited you. You knew the nerves of the date — was it? — would power you to get through a majority of the work. A giddy smile on your face, you began with the Herculean tasks.
And if the exhaustion of the day seemed like a good excuse to sit a bit too close to each other on Lily’s couch while watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine after eating slightly overcooked pasta, who were you to object to that?

Okay I know it’s not Monday- but I’ve had a hard time taking my meds for depresso recently can you do lily or Remus helping reader take there meds Ty x
"It's time," Remus glances at his watch, "Ready, dove?"
A wave of resentment washes over you as Lily digs in her handbag for your medicine bottle, the orange plastic foreboding and somehow taunting.
"Whatever," You grumble, "I don't have water, I can't."
"I have water," Remus reaches into his own bag, a tote slung over his shoulder, "It might be a bit warm, but it's still water."
"Warm water makes me sick," You bluff, "I'll take them later."
"No you won't," Lily carefully insists, smile sympathetic, but not pitying, "I know you won't. I'm no stranger to your evasion tactics, sweetheart."
"Drink while you walk," Remus urges you, pointing at a window display of a novelty pillow, something you'd love to have on your bed, "I was gonna suggest we head in there, I know you'll like their display."
Lily hands you your pills quickly, keeping them hidden in her hand so that you don't see them. And she makes a point of casually walking away before you take them, even though Remus takes your free hand, watching out of the side of his eye while you swallow. They want to make sure you take them, but they don't want to hover, or stare at you.
Their understanding and accommodation of your routines is something you appreciate even if you don't say it, even if you can't say it. You wish you didn't have to take the meds at all, but if you have to, you suppose you want them in Lily's green purse, and you're not sure anything will wash them down better than Remus's water, because even if it is warm, you know he carries it for you.

and then they were roommates james potter x fem!reader idiots to lovers college au
Tumblr media
"you're getting kicked out?" lily whispered, shock enveloping her words. you were just as shocked as she was, your grip on on your phone tightening.
"yeah. apparently her boyfriend's moving in or something, i don't know." you rolled your eyes; you had never liked your previous roommate but she did offer the best rent and did her share of chores. though her boyfriend was a douche and you hated having to see him pretty much everyday.
you groaned, slipping farther down in your seat. lily sympathetically patted your back when her phone started buzzing.
"oh it's marlene," lily mentioned, picking up her phone to reply. the two were the grossest couple to be around; you still put up with it though.
"what's she saying?" you laid your head on your arms on the table in front of you, tilted in a way that you could see lily rapidly type something.
"oh lord, you're probably gonna love marlene more than i do at this point - she knows someone who needs a roommate!"
Tumblr media
"so you're james potter?" you ask, flashing a smile at the bespectacled boy, his messy brown hair seemed messy in the way that he spent two hours minimum every morning on it.
"yep, pleasure to meet you." he reached out his hand, mirroring your grin. charming.
"the pleasure's all mine." you shook his hand, his grip was warm and firm. and he was handsome. and lean. and tall.
"let me show you around." he guided you inside, showing you the kitchen which was open and connected to the lounge. the two bedrooms were on opposite ends of the house and each had their own bathroom which you were extremely thankful for.
after the (short) tour, you both ended up sitting on the stools around the kitchen island drinking soft drinks from the fridge.
"so, what is it that you do?" you asked, wiping the condensation from the can on your dark jeans. the white tee you wore was sticking to your skin from the heat. you'd have to ask about the air con later.
"i'm doing photography at uni. what about you?" he said, taking another a sip of his cherry-flavored drink. you don't get how he could like something so sweet.
"literature. i met lily in my first class actually." you remember the sparkling redhead who somehow wiggled into your life and never left.
"ah, mckinnon's girl, right?" he asked, as if he vaguely remembered lily from a group hangout.
"yeah." with that you fell into a slightly awkward silence although you both didn't mind the quiet. you could hear the fizz of your drinks, as you both drank. you looked straight ahead, only looking at him through your peripheral vision. he, apparently, didn't know of such etiquette because he rested his head on his arm on the kitchen island, staring at you openly.
you tried to ignore it but now the heat was getting to you and your jeans started to feel uncomfortable. your can of coldness was empty. james was still staring. you zeroed in on one of the fridge magnets even though you couldn't really make out what was it trying to show because of the distance.
"does the air con not work?" you turned your head to look at him. at the sound of your voice, he lifted his head and grinned.
"no, it works." his answer made you feel a little ridiculous. and here you thought you were being considerate, assuming his air con broke or something.
"then why don't you have it on?"
"i don't get hot that easily." this man was getting even more ridiculous. you couldn't help but laugh.
"oh my god. go," you shove him off his stool, "turn it on for me?" you tilt your head, looking at him through your eyelashes in a last-ditch effort to persuade him.
"'m going." you blow a kiss noisily, getting up and grabbing both empty cans and throwing them in the dustbin.
later, you settled into bed. half your things were still packed into flimsy cardboard boxes that lily helped tape to perfection. you were grinning as you pulled out your phone to message lily.
u were right i probably love marlene more than you do rn

walpurgis
another one that's been in my drafts for a while. it's just a lil ficlet so don't expect much hehe
@greens-your-color prompt # 25: DEATH EATER (scenario 1)
summary: a group is taking over the Wizarding World's news by storm and severus is naturally curious
--
“Lily?”
“Yeah?”
“Have you heard of these? These Knights of Walpurgis?”
Lily turned to look at Severus only to give him a disdainful eyeroll. “What do you want to know about them for?”
“Well, who are they even?” Severus was more than a little curious, but he was also apprehensive.
“Nobody special. They’re just a bunch of people who believe in a load of malarkey.”
Severus frowned. That certainly wasn’t the description he expected. “Malarkey? Like what?”
This time, Lily granted him a heavy sigh from behind the heavy tome she was reading. “Honestly, Severus, you shouldn’t believe everything you read on the Prophet. They’re just a group acting grand. Rich tossers who have too much time on their hands.”
“But is it true though, that they have access to hidden magics and things?” Severus felt his fingers itch at the notion. He was already taking advanced lessons in both Potions and Transfiguration, with both Lucius and Andi’s support and none of McGonagall’s and Dumbledore’s knowledge, and he was eager to learn beyond what books held, although he was careful to never share the reason. The few people who mattered would figure it out soon enough, but he avoided voicing it out loud to avoid any pretenses of hope. He was convinced mixing modern medicine and magic was the key to managing or even completely curing his condition altogether. Very few wizards in the past had already done so but they were all at least a century old. He had vowed to himself that he would engage in the same practice to figure out a cure, or at the very least die in the attempt. But he wasn’t going to tell Lily that, of course.
He asked her instead, “Do they know things beyond the books and the stuff they teach us? Like deeper magics? Blood magic?”
“Who told you that?” Lily looked at him this time, a frown twisting her features.
“Lucius,” Severus said before he could even stop himself. When he saw Lily’s expression darken, he caught himself and backtracked. “Not that it means anything, he was just talking shop…keeping me interested throughout lessons. Oh, don't make that face, Lily!”
“You’re fourteen and not living in the Wizarding World, he shouldn’t be telling you that.” Lily had snapped her book shut and was already making her way out of the plush armchair she had settled in. “I’m telling Mum and Dad—”
“No—!” Severus blocked his sister before she could make her way out of their father’s study. This conversation certainly wasn’t going the way he wanted. He had thought it was a simple enough question. “You don’t have to tell them, Lils, c’mon, I was just curious…”
Lily had grown an odd shade of red, as though she was angry. But why? Severus didn’t understand.
“The Knights of Walpurgis,” she spat the name as though it left a bad taste on her tongue, and her voice had dropped down to a hiss, “is a dangerous group, Severus, and you shouldn’t discuss them so casually.”
This time, it was Severus’ turn to frown. He could feel his dreams crumbling to dust before his very eyes. “I thought you said they were just a bunch of tossers. Why are you making it sound like they’re more than that?”
Lily shook her head vehemently. “Forget I said it. Don’t talk about them, Sev. I mean it. Lucius should not be talking about them to you.”
“Why shouldn’t he?” Defiance surged within him; Severus had never really liked being told what to do, especially by his sisters. It just wasn’t in his nature. “He’s my tutor, it’s his job to tell me things.”
“Not about this he isn’t! You wouldn’t understand…”
He caught her insinuation immediately and felt his face grow hot. “Because I’m not at Hogwarts, you mean? Or in the Wizarding World? I’m as much a wizard as any of you lot!”
Lily looked as though she had been struck. Her eyes widened comically wide. “That’s not what I meant!” she said, although her expression said otherwise. Lily had always been a terrible liar.
“That’s what you wanted to say,” Severus said, unable to control the bitterness in his tone. “Out with it then, Lils. You probably don’t even see me as one of you, because I don’t go to school in a magical castle and learn amongst giants and goblins and pixies. I probably don't even hold a wand right in your eyes.”
This time, tears welled in Lily’s eyes, crystal against vibrant green. “That’s not true, stop it, Severus! I have never thought that, and I never will!”
His chest had grown tight and Severus felt like crying himself. He knew Lily wasn’t trying to be mean, but somehow he also couldn’t help but feel the stab of self-pity that came at his own accusation. If his own sister thought he was beneath knowing something that was apparently commonplace news in the Wizarding World, what did the other kids think? Did they think he was some sort of…some sort of second-rate freak? Did Lily?
Severus tilted his chin up as he sniffed. He looked down at Lily with what he hoped was an imperious glare as he said, “Forget I asked. I shan’t bother you about it again.”
He stood and turned to stomp out of the room, tuning out Lily calling out to him. He shouldn’t have asked her. He shouldn’t have asked any of them. He should have just asked Lucius. Lucius would know. Lucius always answered his questions. Lucius wouldn’t think he was a freak.
As he walked away, Severus unconsciously scrubbed at the tears that were gathering at the corners of his eyes with his sleeve.

Lily’s dorm mates eventually were just passively arguing that her friendship with Snape was genuinely dangerous for her, because by that point not one of them held out hope that she’d listen and had more or less resigned themselves to her dying before graduation because people are dropping like flies by that time and the Muggleborn with a baby Death Eater best friend has a life expectancy of like a month (really, people are more shocked she survived ending the friendship and graduating than anything else that occurred at the school). They remain polite because otherwise the dorm situation will totally suck for several years, but they’re all privately wondering why the hell she is like this; they get that this friendship was all Lily had for a while, but they genuinely cannot understand why she’s clinging so hard to someone who is expressing beliefs that are getting people like her killed every week. But anyways, it’s pretty icy up in the dorms for several years, there’s the other roommates with Lily very much on the outside.
and the thing is--she doesn't even realise it for a long time!!! lily doesn't realise the level of animosity that's being cultivated between herself and the others, because she spends her time w snape or in the library or sitting somewhere. i do also think she had some friends here and there, in other houses etc, so she wasn't alone. or entirely isolated. but it wasnt enough for her to realise how dire the situation w her roommates was.
she also kept making it worse by insulting james, who was, in my mind, a castle favorite. he was a golden boy--always helped people, took care of the younger ones, protected the weaker students etc etc the kind of person who helps old people w their groceries ykno? lily always saw the worst side of him and never acknowledged the good and that antagonism didnt help her reputation at all.
(and this isnt even me going into the potential politics of a muggleborn snubbing a pureblood and how that would reflect on her in such a stratified society, both amongst the traditionalists and the more liberal ones bc like. thats a thing that happens. marginalised people 'acting above their station' is very much a perception weaponised against them but im not going there)
but when people see her mouthing off against james, calling him names and all, well--they're even less inclined to like her. she doesnt really mind it, until she does. after the mudblood incident when she's w/o her closest friend for the first time and cannot be insulated anymore. she has to deal w whats happening.
and i think that's when she really realises the true state of affairs.

Jegulily; Regulus gets the dark mark
When next they saw Regulus it had been too long. It was hard to not contact him. She didn’t like him being there, with his parents. Lily knew James didn’t like it either. James and Lily tried not to talk about it, in fact it seemed like they didn’t speak at all. It was unusual for James to be so quiet, the silence felt uncomfortable without Regulus’ quick remarks to lighten the mood. James held her tighter than normal at night, Regulus’ spot in the bed waited for his return. Lily felt sick.
“Have you heard from Reg?” James asked again for the tenth time, as if Lily would dare conceal the info from him.
“No, I haven’t.” Lily couldn’t meet his gaze, as James wrapped his arms around her.
James smelled of broom polish, even not having picked up a broom in months, he smelled of broom polish, like it was engrained in his skin. “He’ll be back soon. He’s alright.” James was trying to assure himself as much as he was Lily.
The days went on, feeling longer, and then shorter. There was no news, no news from Regulus, no news from Dumbledore, no news from anyone. It had all reached a stalemate.
After what felt like forever, Regulus came stumbling out of the fireplace. He was immediately met with Lily’s embrace. But he pushed her away. He never pushed her away. She looked aat him unsure of what was happening. Regulus softly shook his head, tears brimming in his eyes.
James came running in, but stopped dead in his tracks. “Reg, what’s wrong?” James asked, as if he already knew. He was cautious, verging on mad.
“I’m sorry.” Regulus could barely whisper. “I’m so sorry.” He backed away from them.
“Regulus, it’s alright.” Lily assured, oblivious, “Whatever it is, it’s alright, we can fix it.”
Regulus looked at her with pleading eyes, and then at James with guilt. He rolled up his sleeve. In a nearly shining black ink taking up his whole forearm, was the darkmark.
“How could you?” James yelled. “What the fuck Regulus?” Neither of them had ever seen James so mad. Regulus was crying now. Lily was frozen, she didn’t move to calm either of her loves, she was stuck watching the scene play out in front of her.
In all their time loving each other, James had not found a single flaw in either of his partners. There was no obstacle, or fight that James had ever not been extremely patient with when it came to Regulus and Lily. Watching him yell, hearing the hurt in his voice, was enough to make even the sanest person wonder if they had been imagining the whole thing, wishing they could wake up from this nightmare.
“Regulus!” James shouted again. “How could you?” His voice was softer this time, just hurt.
The silence echoed in the room.
“They were going to kill me James. I had to.” Regulus’ voice was shaky, and unstable, like it hurt to speak.
James was quick to shoot back at him, “You could have asked for help, we could have helped you.”
“They would have killed us both, James!” Regulus yelled now.
“So what? Have you chosen a side? Are you going to kill me now? Kill Lily?”
Regulus curled inward reflexively, as if he was punch in the gut. “You know I wouldn’t do that. I didn’t have a choice.”
James glared, sharp enough to kill someone, and in a tone that was startlingly calm said “There’s always a choice. I never thought you were a coward Regulus.” James left the room.
Regulus stared at the floor, tears streaming down his face. For the first time in a long time, Lily saw the small second year Regulus that she found crying alone in the library when they first met.
“Regulus” Lily started but she couldn’t find the words.
“I’m sorry Lily.” He sobbed and collapsed to the ground in an instant, it was a state only Lily was allowed to see him in.
Lily rushed over. She held him close to her, she hugged him. They both cried and knew things may never be the same.

Hihi!! I’m brand new here but I love your writing already!! I was wondering if you could write something for James, Remus, or Lily (you can pick!) with a reader who’s absolutely terrified of throwing up and they help her through it when it actually happens? Sorry if it’s worded weirdly or doesn’t make sense 😭😭
Thank you for requesting lovely!
cw: nausea, mention of vomit, reader has hair long enough for a ponytail
Lily Evans x fem!reader ♡ 616 words
“Sweetheart,” Lily’s perfume fills your lungs with every deep breath you take, sweet and vaguely floral. Grounding. Her hand coasts gently up and down your spine, “you’re only drawing it out.”
Tears bite at the backs of your eyes, because you know. It’s inevitable, when the first wave has already passed but the nausea hasn’t, that there’s going to be more. And your girlfriend, despite her best intentions, is being so supremely unhelpful by telling you so.
Which isn’t her fault, you know. You certainly don’t want her to go away, you’re just frustrated and panicky and a bit despairing in your hopelessness. It’s easy to be angry with her, when the true villain is formless.
“I can’t make myself do it,” you choke out, and you have to press your lips together hard right after, swallowing.
“You don’t have to do anything,” Lily promises. She keeps her voice soft and soothing, a caress to your sensitive nerves. A piece of hair falls into your face, and she tucks it back in with the rest, confined to a ponytail at the back of your head. You focus on the gentle scrape of her nails over your scalp. “Just relax, yeah? Let your body do what it needs to.”
You scrunch your face as another wave of nausea roils through you, squeezing a tear out of one eye. Lily coos and ducks down to kiss it away. Her lips are soft against your cheek, unconcerned with your clammy skin or how awful you know your breath must be, and you’re treated to a sight of her pretty green eyes as she stays crouched beside you. They’re kind, worried.
“I know you’re nervous,” she says, “but that wasn’t so bad a few minutes ago, was it?”
“I didn’t love it,” you admit, and she smiles. It’s distractingly lovely. You forget your breathing for a moment, reminded when bile pushes cruelly at the base of your throat. Lily’s expression creases like she can tell.
“You’ll be so happy once it’s done, pretty girl. So long as you sit here thinking about it it’s still happening, but when it’s over, it’s over.”
You think to make a reply, something along the lines of I know but that doesn’t make it easier, when your body overrules you. Lily starts rubbing your back again as you cough and gasp, tears slipping off your nose and into the toilet bowl.
“You’re alright, baby,” she says, sweet-toned and sure. “I’ve got you.”
You pant like a child as you spit the last of it out, and Lily reaches for the cup of water you’d set aside earlier, passing it to you. You swish and spit into the toilet. You lean back into her, and she receives you happily, adjusting so that you’re partially in her lap and brushing your ponytail to the side. She blows cool air on your nape, making you sigh.
“You’re so weird,” she says at your reaction, the smile euphonious in her voice. “Do you feel better this time?”
“I think so,” you answer fretfully.
Lily combats your anxiety with sureness. “I had a feeling you would.” She brushes a kiss against the shell of your ear. “I know that wasn’t easy, sweetheart. Do you want some of your ice cream as a reward?”
You groan. “I don’t want to eat anything ever again.”
“Fair enough,” she laughs. “How about a shower then?”
You tilt your head back, batting your eyelashes at her. “Will you come with me?”
Lily clearly makes an effort to keep her smile at bay, but it shows itself in the happy squint of her eyes. “If you ask me nicely, I’ll do anything you like.”

↳˗ˏˋWhat your favorite HP character says about you:ˊˎ˗ ↴
a/n: don't @ me, this is just a big ol' joke, and you have no idea how much I laughed while doing this. These are my opinions and I’m mostly making fun of myself, so keep that in mind! <3.
↳- Marauders Era! -༉‧₊˚✧
James Potter: The straight A+ student now suffers from raging anxiety and drools for old men. No, come back, I'm talking to you.
Sirius Black: How are your mommy issues going on, dear? Is this one your favorite because it's cool, or you're just really horny? And, how's that desire to get everyone's approval going on?
Remus Lupin: We get it, you like this one! Shut up for five minutes. How do you cope with your daddy issues? Oh, yeah? You don't care? Then why are you crying?
Peter Pettigrew: How does it feel to be ignored in the group chat? Oh, sorry, I wasn't paying attention.
Lily Evans: Mommy issues, probably bisexual, middle sibling vibes.
Marlene Mckinnon: I wanna make fun of you, but is so obviously correct. Also, how’s your relationship with your parents? Do they know you're not straight?
Regulus Black: How do you cope with your depression? How does it feel to have the weight of the world on your shoulders? Why do you pretend everything’s fine?
Severus Snape: Thank you for letting me know to ignore all your future opinions. Please, stop ghosting your therapist.
Bellatrix Lestrange/Black: Officer, is this one, right here. I’m terrified of you, please stay 10 meters away from me.
↳- Lighting Era! -༉‧₊˚✧
Harry Potter: The safest option, maybe a little bit overrated, but is still a good one! You have an insatiable desire for sub-boys. Bisexual vibes but you only date gamer boys, nothing more.
Ron Weasley: You’ll never grow out of this phase. You wear converse and you have a transparent phone case. You order matcha, at Starbucks, with oat milk.
Hermione Granger: This may not be everyone’s favourite, but it’s yours and s’ok. Marina stan, Hermit the Frog on repeat.
Draco Malfoy: This was a big part of your sexual awakening. Daddy issues. You smell nice.
Ginny Weasley: Book biased? You have worryingly anger issues. Movie biased? Please seek help immediately.
Cedric Diggory: You have impeccable taste. You’re gorgeous, be my bestie, no questions.
Fred and/or George Weasley: Perfect out-of-the-box pick! The quality is just high and enough, and the popularity is low enough. But I know what you read, you want both at the same time, am I right? Disgusting (call me xo).
Luna Lovegood: So true. You’re right, you’re correct. You are insane, your mental illness is getting worse every day, but, at least you have a good sense of fashion. Gay vibes, stop playing with your septum please.
Tom Riddle: Nostalgia makes the good things seem great. S’just a phase, I promise. Is like the default settings when you start reading/watching HP.
Voldemort: This was the perfect outside-the-box pick, like, 10 years ago, but so many people that didn't wanna be mainstream picked it that it became mainstream. Please stop with that superiority complex, you’re a very ordinary human being.

absolute wreck of a week, protesting horrible government decisions, deadlines in all 9 subjects I am doing right now, finishing a project and simultaneously starting a new one at work, I broke my favorite ring, it’s sunday and it’s not even a race week so like overall a bummer week BUT
Yacht AU???? Marlene&Lily have a yacht and they are running it. Rich people rent the crew (this is Marlene,Lily&boys) and the yacht for a summer and travel around and have parties and all that.
This summer those said rich people are Pandora&Dorcas joined with Reg, Barty and Evan.
The crew kinda hates “the rich” usually because they are boring, weird, old, disrespectful and overall just not pleasant and they expect the same old, same old when they have a reservation with one named Dorcas Meadows like they imagine an obnoxious rick Lady but they are kind of pleasantly surprised to see them and they are all hot! but also more annoyed because they now think it’s those type of I am rich, I can do anything young people. BUT opinions are changed, relationships are formed, parties are partied and islands are explored.
I do not know anything about yachts or water travel at all for that matter. I am terrified of large bodies of water at night and from what experience I have kayaking I would absolutely be useless on a boat BUT I need serotonin right now and forced proximity, kinda tense vibes, sexually charged voyage sound damn fucking good to me.

I am convinced that one of the main bonding moments for Lily and Marlene was when Lily would introduce Marlene to Mitski (we are talking about some kind of modern au here). I can imagine them screaming their lungs out to Nobody.
Damn my lack of writing skills. DAMN YOU MY AUTISM

Y/N's Life At Hogwarts
Her Full Name: Y/N Potter Riddle
Her Parents: James Potter & Voldemort
Her House: Ravenclaw
Her BFF: Dean Thomas
Her Ex: Snape
Her Crush: Lily Potter
Y/n had always felt like an outsider at Hogwarts. Being the daughter of James Potter and Voldemort was a heavy burden to carry, especially since her houseof Ravenclaw was always seen as a beacon of light against the dark history of her parents. But Y/n was determined to make her own legacy and prove that she was not defined by the actions of her parents.
Despite the pressure she faced,Y/n found solace in her best friend, Dean Thomas. He never judged her for her parents' past and always supported her decisions. Y/n also had her beloved cat, Annie, who was always by her side, purring away her worries and woes.
However, her past romantic involvement with Severus Snape was a constant reminder of her parents' legacy. It had ended on bad terms, with Severus accusing Y/n of being just like her father. It hurt her deeply, but Y/n knew that Severus had never truly understood her.
Lately, Y/n had been developing feelings for Lily Potter, her father's former best friend. It was an unexpected crush, but Y/n couldn't help the way she felt. She found a kindred spirit in Lily and admired her fiery spirit.
One day, Y/n was walking around the Ravenclaw common room, lost in thought, when she saw Lily sitting alone. Y/n swallowed her nerves and approached her.
"Hi, Lily," Y/n said softly, her heart beating faster in her chest.
"Hello, Y/n," Lily said with a smile. "How are you?"
"I'm alright," Y/n said, trying to sound casual. "I was wondering if you'd like to maybe grab a coffee with me sometime?"
Lily's expression softened, and she nodded. "I would like that. Coffee sounds great."
Y/n left the common room, feeling elated. Maybe things were finally looking up for her. Maybe she could finally break free from her parents' legacy and forge her own path.
As Y/n walked to her next class, her thoughts were interrupted by a group of Slytherin students making snide comments about her parentage. She took a deep breath to calm herself down, reminding herself that she was so much more than just her family's past.
Y/n knew it wouldn't be an easy journey, but she was ready to face her challenges head-on. With her cat Annie by her side, her best friend Dean cheering her on, and her unexpected crush on Lily Potter giving her courage, Y/n was ready to make her own mark on Hogwarts.
